Season 4

Despair Bear: Tales of Jean-*hidden* the Butler
  • Because Jean's full name isn't known, the title card gets around this by having him hold up Chloé's teddy bear right in front of the unknown section.
  • Pollen can be seen doing Marinette's hair as her Queen converses with Master Fu. She later sparkles with pride as she presents her finished handiwork.
  • Master Fu feels a mental jab when Marinette points out Scarlet Lady "never should've been allowed to keep the earrings in the first place."
  • When Marinette asks if Chat Noir has suggested a replacement for Scarlet Ladybug once the Ladybug Miraculous is reclaimed, Fu struggles to not tell her that Adrien recommended her.
  • During Tom's baking lesson, Chloé whines about not wanting to get her new pants dirty, only to be told to shut up. When she demands that everyone listens to her complain, Sabrina tells her point-blank no one cares.
  • Not only does Chloé's attempt to frame Marinette for calling the fire department fail, but Marinette also immediately turns the tables on her by pointing out Chloé had been making a phone call in class around the time the fire alarm went off. Chloé visibly sweats at this and awkwardly refuses to be interrogated.
  • When Adrien confronts Chloé about her actions, she completely fails to read his mood:
Adrien: Chloé, did you really just call the fire department just to get out of M. Dupain's baking class?
Chloé: [surrounded by Love Bubbles and making a kissy face] Sure did!
  • Chloé's Comical Overreaction to Adrien ending their friendship. She even later has a waterfall of tears streaming from her eyes.
Caption: And here comes Adrien Agrest - oh no HE'S GOT A CHAIR-!
  • Like in canon, Chloé thinks throwing a party will prove she is nice and win Adrien back as a friend. However, here, her butler doesn't really encourage this belief, saying only, "Uh, sure" with a Sweat Drop speech balloon.
  • When Chloé sends her party invitation to everyone in hopes of getting Adrien to repair their friendship, Lila plans to eat her food, trash her hotel, and leave her with the bill.
Marinette: Uhh, remind me not to invite you to any house parties.
Caption: Lila's the kind of guest to steal all your silverware and blame another party guest.
  • When Adrien and Nino tell Gabriel that they are getting ready for Chloé's party, both are surprised that he's okay with it. While Adrien just thinks his father would've made him go either way because it's Chloé, Gabriel has other motives.
Gabriel: [thinking] A party organized by the most despicable girl in Paris is a breeding ground for akumas! Bwahaha!
  • When Nino sees Alya in her beautiful new dress, he falls to the ground, convulsing, and writes, "dead by beautiful girlfriend" on the floor with his finger. Alya, who had just snarked about Nino not complimenting her dress as Adrien had with Marinette, can only groan in mortification. (It seems likely he's kidding around to compliment her, but it's way over the top.)
  • In order to show Adrien how nice she is, Chloé reluctantly agrees to kiss her other guests on the cheek. As she struggles to kiss Marinette, the latter wonders why she's being punished.
Caption: I already had to clean the school and now THIS?!
  • Jean using Mr. Cuddly to manipulate Chloé into acting decently is worth a chuckle or two.
  • Chloé is so deluded that she thinks throwing a party and awkwardly greeting some of her guests with kisses on the cheek is enough to make Adrien fall over himself to be her friend again.
  • Mylène goes through an emotional rollercoaster because of Chloé:
Mylène: Chloé told me my dress belongs in the trash.
    Ivan/Luka: Ugh. Typical.
Mylène: Then she said she was kidding and loved my style.
    Ivan/Luka: Uhh— what?
Mylène: Then she dumped a bucket of ice on my drink and I just really don't know how to feel right now.
    Ivan/Luka: ?!?
  • Kagami arrives wearing a very nice evening gown. Lila even comments on her being overdressed. Aurore blushes and has a Jaw Drop at seeing her. Mireille then bemusedly closes her mouth while telling her friend not to let Kagami catch her drooling.

  • When a slow song comes on, Chloé attempts to find a dance partner. Needless to say, it does not go well.
    • First, she tries Luka, who just gives her a Blunt "No".
    • Next, she offers to dance with Kim, who is already dancing with Ondine.
    • She demands Nathaniel dance with her, not only jump scaring him, but also driving him to grab the first person he can (Marc) just so he doesn't have to dance with her.
    • She wants to dance with Adrien, but he has just begun to dance with Marinette. This hits her Berserk Button, making her scream, "What's the point of being nice if he dances with Dupain-Cheng?!" while making a hilarious face. Butler Jean tries to calm her, but she just yells at him to get out of her way.
  • The author notes that Adrien is so distracted by his irritation with Chloé that he doesn't even notice Marinette acting besotted.
Caption: While you're being snarky, Adrien, you don't even notice you gained +10 romance points!
  • Chloé declares to her butler she's had enough of his stupid party. He futilely attempts to remind her that the party was actually her idea.
  • When Despair Bear takes over Sabrina, she makes an Out of Character offer to brush Chloé's hair, saying, "I promise it won't hurt." Chloé reacts with, "Get off me, psycho!"
  • Both Adrien and Marinette mentally nickname the akuma as "Creeper Bear." They also make lame excuses to break off their dance so they can go and transform.
  • Marigold spins Chloé to get her out of the room and away from Despair Bear's attacks from his Mind Control victims, even though Chloé complains it will mess up her hair.
    • The move is notably similar to the one Scar used on Lila when she threw Lila into the fountain.
    • It seems all the spinning made Tikki dizzy as well. Then she has to deal with suddenly being sucked into the earrings as Chloé transforms.
  • After three seasons, what's the thing that finally starts cracking Scarlet Lady's positive reputation? Publicly claiming that Chloé is her best friend. Everyone is disturbed by this news, especially Aurore, who's so disgusted she looks like she's about to puke.
  • As Despair Bear jumps between people to attack the heroes, Scarlet Lady keeps ordering her "sidekicks" to protect her... until she falls prey to the akuma.
    Scarlet Lady: Stop him, sidekicks!
    Chat Noir/Marigold: Ugh.
    Scarlet Lady: Protect me, sidekicks!
    Chat Noir/Marigold: Shut up, Scar!
Possessed!Scarlet Lady: Give me your Miraculouses, sidekicks!
    Chat Noir/Marigold: Seriously?!
Possessed!Scarlet Lady: Bad kitty! Bad bug!
    Marigold: Yikes!
Alya: Uh, is Scarlet Lady always like this?
  • Despair Bear ends up defeated pretty easily... because Chat Noir and Marigold are used to having to work around Scarlet Lady anyway. Having her actively working against them isn't that much worse than what she usually does.
  • How is Despair Bear is defeated? Marigold takes the Lucky Charm (a fork) to snag Despair Bear by a thread and then hooks it to a sunshade, allowing Chat Noir to unravel Mr. Cuddly, leaving only the doll-sized akuma. At the end of it, Scarlet Lady wonders how they got to the pool while Chat Noir holds a tiny akumatized Jean.
  • Scar tries some Blatant Lies to claim credit for stopping the akuma but promptly gets shot down.
Jean: Begging your pardon, but, what happened?
Scarlet Lady: You became bad but I saved you—
Marigold: That's enough of your lies. Your timer.
  • When Jean recovers and states he just wanted to help Chloé salvage her friendship with Adrien, only to get fired, Chat Noir reassures the butler that she'll forget she fired him by the next day. Then...
Chloé: Jean-Baptiste! Get down here and save my party!
    Jean: Oh!
Chat Noir: Or she'll forget right now.

  • As Adrien notices that everyone's still at the party, Chloé comes and asks if he wants to forgive her for everything.
    Adrien: No?
    Chloé: WHAT?!
Caption: Chloe, you invented that agreement, remember?
  • Chloé decides that Adrien was just being dramatic with the whole thing of not being her friend anymore and declares that they're still friends because she forgives him for teasing her, even adding how "nice" she is for doing this.
Jean: [thinking] Yes... he's the dramatic one.

Sapotis: Tales of the Césaire Twins
  • Nino explains how Alya's been down ever since she realized Scarlet Lady's true nature, and Adrien and Marinette wonder why they didn't notice that. Arrows labeled, "Numb to Scarlet Lady's meltdowns," are shown pointing at both of them.
  • Alya is so unwilling to accept what she learned about Scarlet Lady during Chloé's party that she clings to the fact Scarlet Lady is a Legacy Character as a reason to believe the Scarlet Lady at the party was someone else. As the author says, "Alya, denial is not just a river in Egypt."
  • As Hawkmoth prepares to akumatize the twins, he shows a tad of Hypocritical Humor:
Hawkmoth: Ahh, the life of young children is no fun at all. They should be able to do whatever they want, whenever they want.
    Adrien: Ha-choo!
Caption: "Someone must be talking a lot of bullshit somewhere."
Tags: #Really wish Nathalie was recording all of Hawkmoth's little speeches to play back at him so he can hear what a hypocrite he is
  • Tikki is swimming in the hotel spa pool, a cute little hat on her head and a grouchy look on her face.
  • Chloé has no intention of fighting the Sapotis at first: she is taking a well-deserved (in her mind) spa treatment. Then the Sapotis make it personal by throwing mud* in her face.
  • Scarlet Lady has a brief moment of clarity when Chat Noir and Marigold tell her that the butterfly is in the hat of the original Sapotis, but not the clones.
Scarlet Lady: Hey, how do you know all this stuff?
    Chat Noir/Marigold:note  Oh! um!
    Chat Noir/Marigold: You see-
    Scarlet Lady: Whatever, Lucky Charm.
Chat Noir and Marigold: [thinking] Thank goodness she's an idiot!
  • After the first Lucky Charm, Marigold takes Scarlet Lady to a back alley so she can recharge. The author even admits that, for once, they weren't picking on Chloé—they just forgot that Chloé would need to recharge and had to pick a feasible place.
Chloé: I can't believe you took me to such a disgusting place to recharge! You're heartless!
Marigold: HURRY UP IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT!
  • Adrien goes to Master Fu for another Miraculous to help with the Sapotis. When Adrien says he has a person in mind for it, Master Fu asks, "It's not Marinette again, is it?" Adrien denies it, but a narration box says, "Totally was."
  • Chat Noir accidentally addresses Nino by his full name when offering the Fox Miraculous, causing Nino to ask how the hero knows that. It's not brought up again, though, which certainly makes one wonder what excuse Chat Noir came up with.
  • Scarlet Lady mistakes the new Fox hero for an akuma similar to Volpina. Marigold holds her back, pointing out that the Sapotis have already used up the akuma.
  • Alya furiously declares to her siblings that just because they are akumas, doesn't mean she won't discipline them in the future.
  • When Scarlet Lady tries to assert her (meaningless) authority, Fox Trot (Nino's Fox Identity) immediately sasses Scar, telling her that he'll only follow the orders of Paris's true heroes, the far more competent Chat Noir and Marigold, enraging Scar. The sass prompts Marigold to snark to Chat he's good at picking temps.
  • Marigold somehow immediately writes down a list of everything they need to defeat the Sapotis with Scarlet Lady's unicycle Lucky Charm. One wonders where she even got her writing utensil from.
Chat Noir/Fox Trot: [looking at the list] When did you have time to do this?
Marigold: [sweatdropping] No time for questions!
Caption: Just get the stuff, kay?!
  • A bonus panel lampshades Marigold's Complexity Addiction compared to the "Chat Noir method" of Cutting the Knot:
Fox Trot: Do you always make it this complicated to save Paris?
Chat Noir: Only when her highness calls the shots.
Marigold: We can't all have the sophisticated method of hitting it in the face.
Tags: #it's her ladybug brain at work
  • After the battle, when Marigold offers to escort the Césaires home, Scarlet Lady promptly begins to make up an excuse as to why she can't join them, only for Marigold to snark that she didn't expect her to do anything anyways, which causes the Ladybug heroine some comical indignation. Meanwhile, the twins just happily wave goodbye to Scarlet and they're taken home.
  • Alya's Freak Out when she sees Fox Trot for the first time.
  • Fox Trot spends so long comforting Alya about her broken illusions about Scarlet Lady that he has to hide in Alya's room to time out. Chat Noir then has to sneak him out over the balcony.
  • As in canon, the Fox holder is tempted to keep Trixx. The Kwami also begs with Puppy-Dog Eyes. Seems like they hit it off really well.
Nino: [starry-eyed] Can I keep the Fox to make movies?!
    Chat Noir: Negative.
  • Marinette rushes in and Glomps Alya, glad that she's safe. Then Nino rushes in and glomps them both. Finally, Adrien does the same, causing the group to lose their balance and leaving Alya at the bottom of the dogpile.
  • Adrien smiles knowingly at Nino as Chris gushes about Fox Trot while reassuring his older brother that he's still the coolest, causing Nino to blush.

Anansi: Tales of Nora the Martial Artist
  • Adrien manages to go out with his friends, even though his father objected at first.
Gabriel: Adrien, I forbid you from going out tonight. It's too dangerous.
Adrien: Ah, père, I thought you might say that. Sidebar, have you seen my collection of hair dye? I forget, what's your favorite color, père? I'm partial to pink.
    Gabriel: Mon dieu.
Caption: The threat that never quits.
  • Alya's older sister Nora, a kickboxer, catches some snark because she calls herself "Anansi" despite being "like a tank in the ring" instead of being tricky like her namesake.
  • When Nora scoffs at the idea that "Billboard Boy" knows anything about self-defense, Adrien indignantly protests that he fences. Likewise, when Nora declares that "Baguette" can't pick up more than a bag of flour, Marinette retorts that flour bags are in fact very heavy.
  • Hawkmoth knows that if he sends the akuma to someone who has a partial grudge against his own son, he would be directly contributing to putting Adrien in danger. On the other hand, the earrings and ring would look sick on him, which is enough reason for him to send the akuma.
  • Chloé complains about missing out on going to New York because of her hero duties. Tikki tries to convince Chloé she could take her time off and leave her Miraculous with Marigold and Chat Noir. But Chloé refuses, thinking they wouldn't be anything without her. You can practically feel Tikki figuratively snapping her fingers at Chloé not taking the bait.
    Tikki: [thinking] Worth a shot.
Tags: #tikki: It would go against my duty to remove the earring myself when the ladybug is necessary
#also tikki: now if she gave them away HERSELF-
  • When Nora is akumatized into Anansi and attacks the Ferris wheel, Alya, who's on said wheel with Marinette, Adrien, and Nino, yells at her for being a hypocrite after trying to prevent her from going because of akuma threats.
Alya: [enraged] AFTER ALL THAT GRIEF, YOU BECAME AN AKUMA, YOU STUPID—!
Marinette: Alya, don't attract her over here!
Caption: AFTER ALL THAT TALK NORA!
  • Adrien and Marinette screaming at Alya to run so that they can run off to transform.
  • In order to get away from Adrien, Marinette brings up the promise she made to Chat Noir about not fighting in akuma battles anymore, which Adrien (being Chat Noir) buys completely.
Caption: Man, making that promise to Chat Noir has been the best Get-Out-of-Akumas-Free card ever.
  • A fearsome but Funny Background Event shows Sabrina, Lila, and the latter's mother on the Ferris wheel that Anansi flings at Chloé's hotel suite. They are all terrified, with Lila and her mother clinging tightly to each other.
  • Nino's first line when the heroes and Alya catch up with Anansi? A very casual "Hey, babe." Keep in mind, he is several stories off the ground.
  • Scarlet Lady gets one look at the "Spider Lady" akuma before desperately calling for her Lucky Charm and dumping it off on Marigold with the excuse of needing to recharge. Marigold is suspicious and asks, "And then you'll come back, right?"
  • Marigold brings Alya the Turtle Miraculous and offers it to her. Alya's so excited that she grabs Marigold's shoulders and begins shaking her before the heroine can even finish her explanation.
  • The new Turtle holder, Alya, takes a moment to feel her new fluffy hair.
  • Marigold locates where Scar is hiding by calling her on her top-phone and listening for her yo-yo-phone to ring.
  • You know that old saying "Never meet your heroes"?
Scarlet Lady: So what dumb little name have you cooked up for yourself?
    Alya: ... Koki Marina.
Scarlet Lady: [stroking her chin] Hm, there's gotta be some way to make an insult out of it. Give me time.
Alya: [seething and thinking] I'm going to write such an article about you!
  • While Marigold and Koki Marina argue with Scarlet Lady, Chat Noir and Nino (both still trapped in Anansi's web) just engage in Casual Danger Dialogue.
    Chat Noir: Sup dude.
    Nino: Hey, howzit going.
Chat Noir: Oh, you know, just hanging around.
Nino: LOL! Hey, how come you don't Cataclysm the web?
Chat Noir: The web currently attached to our entire backs?
    Nino: Ah.
Caption: So unless you want a wicked "sunburn" on your back...
  • Marigold starts challenging Anansi, only to verbally backspace when she sees Koki Marina regarding her with starry eyes.
Marigold: I mean, uh, Koki Marina challenges you.
    Koki Marina: [gleefully] Eeee!
  • After Koki Marina defeats Anansi, there's a Funny Background Event of Marigold doing a Fastball Special with Chat Noir.
Chat Noir: Ultimate Chat Noir technique! Aim for the helmet!
  • In canon, Alya was tempted to keep Trixx after her first mission as a temp hero. Here, she is tempted to keep Wayzz, but she resists because "... I don't want to be as untrustworthy as Scarlet Lady." Still, she and Wayzz hit it off so quickly that Marigold has to tell them to stop bonding.
  • When Nino "reveals" to Alya how he got footage of Koki Marina, she proceeds to snog the daylights out of her boyfriend... even though, as Nino points out, Nora is right there in front of them.
  • The four friends invite Nora to go skating with them... only for Nora to take it as another challenge, declaring she'll skate circles around all of them.

Troublemaker: Tales of Penny the Manager
  • While gushing about how great working for Jagged Stone is, Penny accidentally lets slip that he always pays his child support on time.
    Marinette: Wait, Jagged has kids—?
Penny: [suddenly holding up a form ] You didn't hear that. Also please sign this NDA.
    • Penny doesn't even flinch or drop her smile after realizing she accidentally revealed Jagged's secret.
    • The fact that Penny carries copies of the NDA with her clipboard indicates that either this isn't the first time she's accidentally let slip that Jagged has children and/or that she's just that Crazy-Prepared.
  • As Adrien tunes his TV to the program...
Adrien: [seeing Marinette all dressed up] Omigod, her widdle uniform!
  • Chloé also tunes in, but she isn't impressed.
Chloé: Ugh, I only wanted to watch this dumb show to see Dupain-Cheng mess up, not to hear her praises!
Tikki: But Chloé, don't you remember?
    Chloé: What?
Tikki: It's thanks to you that Jagged Stone even met Marinette!
    Chloé: Nooooo! Don't remind me!
Caption: Thanks for all of your help Chlo! ♥
  • When Marinette's bedroom is broadcast, the comic cuts to various reaction shots—Adrien has heart eyes, Marinette is panicking, and Hawkmoth yells a loud "Gasp!"... before wondering, with a completely flat expression, "Wait, why am I gasping, I already knew that."
  • Chloé thoroughly enjoys watching Marinette being embarrassed live on TV. She even eats popcorn.
  • Marinette freaks out because now all of Paris has seen her bedroom—particularly her Chat Noir photos. She's got nothing to worry about, though.
Marinette: If Chat Noir sees, he'll know I'm in love with him!
    Pollen: You think so?
    [Description Cut]
Adrien: [surrounded by sparks and hearts] Should I go see her?! No, no, it's too soon. I should order roses! Should I get red this time?!
    Plagg: Ugh.
  • Hawkmoth was considering akumatizing Marinette, but when Penny gets frustrated and reaches her Rage Breaking Point, he sighs in relief that he now has alternative since he knows how angry Chat Noir would get if he chose the former.
  • Despite Tom and Sabine's protests, Bob Roth refuses to stop filming after Marinette's privacy was violated. Sabine, who already felt the crew was rather rude, explodes and nearly starts a fight before she's interrupted by Troublemaker.
  • When Penny is akumatized into Troublemaker, Marinette and Adrien quickly jump into action... while Tikki is pretty much pushing Chloé to transform and go help.
  • Marigold's meltdown when Chat Noir reveals he saw the show.
  • The bonus strip showing "Scarlet clearly taking this very seriously by rushing over":
Scarlet Lady: [looking at several dresses through a window] Ooo, that'd look great on me!
    Caption: Definitely rushing. [sweatdrops]
  • Even with the fight going on, Chat Noir can't help but gush about Marinette having so many photos of him. He even asks Marigold what she thinks it all means with a blush on his face and sparkles surrounding him. Marigold has to literally cover up his mouth and tell him to focus on the akuma.
  • When Chat Noir points out that Marigold's Miraculous is very easy to remove, he jokingly says she should glue it down... which gives Marigold the idea to do just that in order to get close enough to Troublemaker to use Venom. Unfortunately, this results in Troublemaker's hand being stuck to Marigold's head until Scarlet Lady presumably uses Lucky Charm to do the World-Healing Wave.
  • After subduing Troublemaker, Marigold and Chat Noir wonder why Scarlet Lady isn't showing up. Chat Noir phones her only to hear her phone ringing coming from right upstairs on the roof of the building. It turns out that she was lazing on the balcony the whole time. Understandably, Chat is furious.
Chat Noir: [fuming as he pops out of a window next to her] HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN HERE?!
Scarlet Lady: [jumping out of the lawn chair she was sitting in] WAH—!
  • Scarlet Lady gives Penny the self-care advice of buying herself a diamond phone case. Marigold's expression to that is utterly priceless.
  • Marigold panics when Chat Noir mentions Marinette, suddenly reminded that all of Paris saw her collage of Chat Noir photos.
  • Penny and Jagged hug after she is deakumatized. He then comments on her Expository Hairstyle Change as Troublemaker.
Jagged Stone: Also, the mohawk was hawt.
Penny Rolling: I am not shaving my head for you.
    Jagged Stone: Damn.
  • Marinette tries to no be seen by anyone at the school the day after, but Adrien finds her instantly. She warns him not to say anything, but Adrien just can't help himself.
    Adrien: So...
    Marinette: Don't.
    Adrien: Um—
    Marinette: Do not.
    Adrien: ... about the photos.
    Marinette: Ahhh! You said it!
  • Marinette states she's not in love with Chat Noir and that being with a superhero would be dangerous while there are supervillains around. She then tries to claim Chat Noir is just a friend, but she chokes up on it and starts coughing blood.
Adrien: [thinking] I have to defeat Hawkmoth A.S.A.P.!
Caption: At least you have some motivation.
  • Alya tells her classmates to wear all their Chat Noir merch to (a) help get people off Marinette's back by making it look like she just has a celebrity crush on Chat Noir and (b) rub Chat Noir's growing popularity in Chloé's face.
    • Alya then claims she's doing it because Chat Noir doesn't get the recognition he deserves, driving Marinette to tears... as well as Adrien. Nino asks his best friend why he's so emotional about it.
    • Though she's initially angry that Adrien didn't wear his Chat Noir stuff, too, she quickly drops the matter after he reminds her his father is Gabriel Agreste.

    Intermission 2
  • Alya decides to do something she swore never to do again: ask Lila for an interview, specifically about her hatred for Scarlet Lady. Lila sparkles and happily holds onto a bemused Alya's arm.
  • Adrien attempts to invite Marinette to the ice cream as a platonic thing:
Marinette: Then let's invite Luka and Kagami! Since it's a friend outing!
Adrien: [thinking, crying] You did this to yourself, Adrien!
  • After Rose and Juleka mention that André always thinks they're just "girly friends," Alix boasts about how her aromanticism caused him to have a mental breakdown. Marinette notes that Alix even sounds proud about that.
  • Nathalie tells Adrien he's forbidden from going out since he has to practice piano. How does he get around this?
Adrien: Man, Plagg. It sure sucks that Adrien isn't allowed out.
    Plagg: U-huh.
Adrien: [puts on some piano music from his phone] And that Adrien has to practice piano.
    Plagg: Sure.
Adrien: [clenching his fists as tears well in his eyes] And that Adrien--
Plagg: I get it already, just suit up!
  • Then it turns out Kagami's also fooling her mother to hang out with her friends.
Kagami: Oh nooo! Looks like the fencing team strategy meeting isn't here. Seems like I've given my mother the wrong information~♥
Adrien: Ha! I snuck out behind Pére's back! He thinks I'm back in my room playing piano!
Kagami: Dammit! You've bested me again, Agreste!
Nino: Why have you turned being a delinquent child into a competition?
  • When Adrien, Marinette, Luka, and Kagami are waiting for their turn, the former three are really interested in the next ice cream while Kagami just looks bored. In the same panel, André runs the volume and plane equations for a cone in his head similar to the "Confused Math Lady" meme when confronted with Adrien, Marinette, Luka, and Kagami all standing next to each other.
Caption: Andre, just learn about polyamory already and this wouldn't be so hard for you!
  • Kagami takes André to task for his business model (not using gloves, not posting his location, deciding his clients' orders without caring for allergies, etc)... until André makes her a Marigold cone, upon which she does a 180 while blushing.
Kagami: I do believe in magic!
    André: [wiping off sweat] Heh!
  • Luka asks for platonic ice cream, stating his belief that the best relationships are the ones people work on. André replies that his ice cream can unite people with their true loves—like Luka's parents.
Luka: [Death Glare] I don't have a papa.
André: [sweating] Er, one friendship ice cream, coming right up.
  • Nino decides that next time, they should just bring couples while Mylène hopes the four don't break André.
Caption: Screw that noise, Finish Him!
  • Chloé suddenly shows up and completely ignores how hard Adrien is trying to get away from her as she asks for ice cream. André becomes confused as he attempts to understand who gets the next cone.
  • After André presents Adrien with a what looks like a Scarlet Lady cone, he rejects it. Then Wayhem shows up, causing Adrien to take off running.
Nathalie: Adrien? I saw a post about you being outside at the Pont—
Adrien: Hahaha, how could that be possible when I've been here the whole time?!
    Nathalie: ... right.
  • After Kagami tells Chloé off, Luka thanks her—while keeping Chloé at arm's length as she tries to get him to share his ice cream with her.
  • Hawkmoth akumatizing Glaciator:
Glaciator: I'll give Adrien Agreste a double scoop and freeze him where he stands!
    Hawkmoth: Haha, wait, who-
  • Chloé thinks the Scarlet Lady cone was meant for Adrien and shows up at his home in her heroine identity. Adrien hears her and immediately sports a This Is Gonna Suck face. Fortunately, Glaciator shows up, allowing Adrien to slam the security system in her face.
  • Marigold indicates Glaciator seems to be ignoring couples, and Scarlet Lady acts disgusted at the idea of faking being a couple to either of the other two heroes, only to ask why they aren't begging her to be the fake girlfriend. Then she notices that Chat Noir and Marigold have disappeared already.
  • Chat Noir and Marigold as a couple:
Chat Noir: Alright, let's sell this, honey bee!
Marigold: [grinning like mad] Huh? Ooh, well, if we gotta! Heehee!
  • Marigold's reaction when Chat Noir tells a deakumatized André that they're Just Friends.
  • André is unnerved when Adrien comments that the cone he receives from the ice cream man at the end reminds him of two people.
Caption: Adrien, Andre will not stand for Polyamory, you KNOW THAT!

Silencer: Tales of Luka the Musician
  • Chloé makes sure that XY gets his meal for free but tells her father that he can still charge Bob Roth. Bob Roth, who is right next to her, is not amused.
  • While Chloé is crushing on XY like there is no tomorrow, the latter barely acknowledges her.
  • Bob Roth and XY planning their plagiarism right in front of Chloé. When they start their Evil Laugh, she wholeheartedly approves:
Chloé: [thinking while smiling and blushing] Ahhh, my people.
    Caption: Get better standards Chlo.
  • Adrien makes a hilarious face when he tries to pretend he doesn't mind not being allowed to compete in the contest with Kitty Section.
Adrien: [with a strained smile] It goes against my dad's contract, but it's okay! It doesn't bother me!
Marinette or Kitty Section member: Sure looks like it bothers you.
  • Upon seeing how cool Kitty Section looks in their submission for Bob Roth's contest, Adrien actually cries. Plagg even pats his face to comfort him.
  • Marinette and Kitty Section sport a Collective Death Glare after finding out that Bob Roth and XY plagiarized them. Even Rose is part of it.
  • It turns out that XY hired Chloé as his personal designer. He still keeps getting her name wrong.
  • When Luka and Marinette call the plagiarists out, Chloé acts as if she is emotionally hurt:
Chloé: [pleading] Mon Chouka! I worked so hard on that mask! Are you calling me a liar?
Luka: [beyond furious] I'm not calling you a truther!
  • When Hawkmoth akumatizes Luka's mask as Chloé is ranting about how hard it was to copy Marinette's designs, Luka puts on the mask with barely any hesitation, then flips off Chloé with both hands as he transforms.
Chloé: W-What's that look for?! I did nothing wrong! I'm just saying with your looks you could go solo, like XY! You just have to ditch your loser friends! And forget about Dupain-Cheng! Her designs are way too complicated! Do you know how hard it was to copy them? And also— [sees Luka mid-akumatization] Oh Σ%$#.
  • When Luka confesses his feelings for Marinette, she thinks that it's the most romantic thing she's ever heard. Unfortunately, he did so hand puppet motions and using XY's voice. Marinette's hilarious facial expression says it all.
  • Pollen is definitely shipping her queen with Luka.
  • Things do not go well for Marigold upon arriving on the scene. First, Bob Ross uses her as a Human Shield, which leads to Silencer quickly stealing her voice. Then, when Scarlet Lady arrives, she begins to taunt her over it... only for Silencer to use that as an opening and steal her voice as well. He even says, "An opening!" using Marigold's voice. Marigold's face says it all.
  • The girls text arguing over who has to text Chat Noir.
  • Upon finding out that Scarlet Lady had her voice stolen, Chat Noir immediately teases the angry and frustrated heroine, even suggesting to Marigold that they hold off on dealing with the akuma. But when he learns that Marigold also had her voice stolen, Chat Noir immediately gives her a hug and declares he will help her recover her voice right away. Scarlet Lady seethes and flips him off.
  • Chat Noir and Marigold plot out how to deal with their current situation via texting—to which Scar contributes with a selfie.
Chat Noir: [seeing the selfie] Thanks for the contribution, Scar.
Caption: Just let the grown-ups talk, Scar.
  • While Chat Noir distracts Silencer, Marigold sneaks Bob Roth away... only for him to promptly begins to make an ass of himself. Marigold ties him up and leaves him out of the way, giving Chat Noir a Slasher Smile when he asks where she was. Meanwhile, Scarlet Lady is... snuggling a tied up and very annoyed XY.
  • Since Marigold tricks Silencer into summoning Venom for her instead of Lucky Charm, she brings along a net to catch the voices with, which the rest of Kitty Section are confused about. Apparently, she found it in the dressing room, not knowing what it was doing there.
  • Marigold goes to give Scarlet Lady's voice back so she can purify the akuma and use the Miraculous Cure, but Scar is disgusted at the thought of having to put it in her mouth. Marigold then begins to take the voice for herself, causing Scar to immediately change her mind.
  • Bob Roth fails to notice Chat Noir aiming a camera at him as the executive berates Luka:
Bob: Serves you right, thinking you could make me tell the truth! Like I'd admit I stole Kitty Section's song and look for my son! Ha! ...Uh, why are you smiling?
Marigold: Because Bob Roth, you're on Candid Camera!
    Chat Noir: [waving] Smile!
    Bob: GAH!
  • When Bob Roth pretends that he was just joking, tries to talk his way out of the mess he got himself into, and announces a record deal for Kitty Section, he's asked if they can get that in writing.
  • Jagged Stone decides to make obvious his dislike of Bob Roth's attempt to plagiarize and threaten Marinette and Kitty Section in the most dramatic possible way: get Roth to a dark room and turn on a Dramatic Spotlight just to scare the crap out of his producer.
Jagged Stone: [turning a spotlight on] Bob.
    Bob Roth: Eeeekk!
Jagged Stone: Let's talk about you threatening my favorite designer. And my ki-- uh, her friends.
  • The bonus panel reveals Jagged also sets Fang on Chloé's shoes for her role in the mess.
Chloé: Daddyyyyy! Jagged Stone's stupid lizard is eating my shoes!
Caption: What, did you think Chloé got out of repercussions for her plagiarism?

Desperada: Tales of Vivica the Guitarist
  • Marinette keeps stuttering and blushing around Luka, which just gets worse when Luka shows her how to play the guitar using the good old Hands-On Approach. Her friends meanwhile are just watching in awkward silence, trying to figure what the hell is going between the two of them.
  • Once again, Adrien and Kagami have "mistakenly" gotten the address for their fencing practice wrong and instead end up at the Couffaine's houseboat where their friends are. Their friends seem a little exasperated at the two keeping up the "innocent act."
  • Adrien sees Marinette with Luka and becomes jealous immediately.
    • Kagami meanwhile looks nervous standing next to him like he's a bomb about to go off any minute.
    • Upon hearing that Luka confessed to Marinette, Adrien is seen with an Eye Twitch.
  • After being "saved" by Jagged Stone, Marinette has an adorable meltdown.
  • Jagged is a pretty Bad Liar, at least around Anarka. When he claims his guitarist "sailed away," Anarka just scoffs, "Lie better!"
  • Noticing Marinette, Jagged asks her if she happens to know a guitarist "in a band on a houseboat with blue hair." Marinette even lampshades how specific the rockstar's suggestion was while looking at Luka.
  • Chloé suddenly climbs out through the sunroof of Jagged's bus, having apparently snuck in while hunting him down. Jagged seems more upset when she calls him a "hack," though.
    • She immediately demands compensation from Jagged for her shoes that Fang ate at the end of "Silencer." The rockstar is just annoyed at this point and tells her to send Bob the bill.
    • Later, Chloé ends up transforming because she needs to "avenge [her] shoes."
  • Upon being turned into an akuma, Desperada calls Jagged out for trying to replace her with "a kid." How does Jagged reply?
Jagged Stone: Vivica, you're only two years older than him.
Caption: (Pst, Jagged you're not supposed to know how old Luka is).
  • When Desperada attacks Luka, Marigold uses her top's rope to fling Desperada away.
Luka: Did Marigold just kill Desperada?
  • Marigold leads everyone to the sewers. Scarlet Lady keeps hopping from foot to foot and saying, "Ew!"
    • The boys gladly skedaddle when Marigold suggests for them to hide—because they really don't want to be near Scarlet Lady. Scar is crying in despair while reaching out to them as Marigold covers the Ladybug heroine's face with one hand.
    • Chat Noir's voicemail message:
Voicemail: Chat got your tongue? Leave a message!
    • Adrien runs around the corner and transforms into Chat Noir.
      Marigold: Chat Noir!
Scarlet Lady: Why are you sweating?
      Chat Noir: Eheheh!
      Narration: Ran
    • Meanwhile, Luka is calmly waiting inside a work locker for the akuma to be defeated. He even muses that he's lucky to not be claustrophobic (which may be another dig at Adrien).
  • When Scarlet Lady realizes that Chat Noir is going to give out another Miraculous, she assumes he will give it to Adrien. Surprisingly, Marigold actually agrees with Scar that Adrien would make a good Miraculous user.
  • Scarlet Lady fighting Marigold to be the one to give Adrien a Miraculous.
    • As part of pretending to have never seen a Kwami before, Adrien asks if Sass is a genie. Sass seems annoyed by it.
    • Plagg's not amused either. It's made even funnier after the author posted a close up of the frame he's in. (he's behind Sass if you missed him.)
  • Aspik gleefully abusing Second Chance to get revenge on Scarlet Lady over and over, tripping and shoving and even using her as a Human Shield one time. Whenever she gets caught by Desperada, he just starts again.
    • Even Marigold is comically shocked by Aspik's antics. Thanks to the power of Second Chance, though, he immediately shrugs it off.
    Marigold: Aspik..?
Aspik: Don't worry. You won't remember this.
    • At one point, Aspik tells Scar he's not only Adrien Agreste but also Chat Noir just to see her utterly horrified reaction.
Aspik: Yesss, that's the face I wanted! Second Chance!
  • After "trying" multiple times, Adrien returns the Miraculous to Marigold, apologizing for how he failed to protect the heroes, even after 25,913 loops (Word of God states he just made that number up). Marigold in turn apologizes for putting him through all that and reassures that he was chosen for a reason, making Adrien feel extremely guilty.
  • Luka then shows up, asking about Adrien, but when Marigold turns around, Adrien has already disappeared. Chat Noir shows up immediately afterwards, sweating buckets from all the running he's had to do.
Caption: No one will be questioning why Chat Noir and Adrien are never in the same room together at this time U_U
  • It turns out that the Eiffel Tower has been destroyed so many times that the area is now marked as a work hazard zone. Wearing a hard hat is mandatory. Viperion notes that the heroes had to have destroyed the Eiffel Tower quite a few times to get that warning. Marigold claims that technically it's the akuma that destroys it... right before Chat Noir uses Cataclysm.
  • Scarlet doesn't need help to get hit by Desperada, because she keeps falling for it no matter how many Second Chances are used. Viperion ends up angrily asking if she can chill the #$%Σ out.
Tags: #Aspik didn't need to go as hard as he did Scar is a walking hazard on her own
  • When Marigold leaves to return the Snake Miraculous, Scar declares she intends to follow her to finally learn where Chat Noir and Marigold get the Miraculous they give to temporary heroes. Marigold Trolls her by telling her she has to follow her and Viperion into the sewers. Scar then immediately decides her timer's going off and runs away.
  • After Vivica is deakumatized, Jagged apologizes for firing her and welcomes her back to the band. Anarka knows what's going on, though.
Anarka: You fired her on purpose to play with our kids, didn't you?
Jagged: I don't know what you're talking about.
  • After all the secrecy between Anarka and Jagged, it turns out that Juleka and Luka both already know that Jagged is their father—but Jagged and Anarka don't know that they know. Penny is in on the twins' secret and thinks it's hilarious. Then there's Juleka's final line:
Juleka: Well, at least we get a cool step-manager.
    Penny Rolling: [Spit Take]
  • After Luka assures Marinette that he doesn't mind her being "weird," Marinette replies that she'll always be his friend.
Luka: That said, I'm gonna compliment you a lot more to bring out Blushy Marinette.
Marinette: [with a Luminescent Blush] NOOOOOOO!
  • Kagami asks Adrien why he hasn't asked Marinette out yet. His reply?
Adrien: There's an obstacle. A big, tall, annoying, dumb obstacle with bad fashion sense and is so selfish!
Kagami: I understand. Your father is a difficult person to overcome.
    Adrien: Eh?
    Narration: Meant Hawkmoth.

Ikari Gozen: Tales of Tomoe the Swordswoman
  • Kagami is fighting her mother when her phone dings.
    Tomoe: What was that.
Kagami: [with a heavily sweating face] Um...
  • When Tomoe forbids Kagami from playing the game to find Adrien, Kagami internally notes that she's "going to play even harder now."
  • As Chloé searches the park for a pair of buddies to tag along with so that they can do all the work of finding Adrien, Tikki questions why she didn't just sign up. As it turns out, Chloé did do that, but her application was denied for "some reason" (she's still banned from contests involving the Gabriel brand due to her plagiarism in "Mr. Pigeon" but either forgot or has trouble making the connection).
Caption: Can't imagine why that would be, Chloe.
  • Chloé keeps trying to sabotage Marinette and Kagami, but to her frustration, all her efforts backfire. They even end up solving the riddles faster because of her.
  • Chloé steals Kagami's phone from Marinette just as Tomoe calls... and quickly finds herself face to face with an infuriated Kagami.
    • A comical fight breaks out among the three girls over Kagami's phone. Tomoe then calls, and Chloé manages to get away with the phone while also tattling on Kagami with utter glee. Meanwhile, Kagami and Marinette attempt to get the phone back as they wonder how Chloé can run so fast.
    • Kagami begins to tell off her mother, only to get an unpleasant surprise.
Kagami: Actually, okaa-san, I do have friends! Lots of friends! Wonderful friends! Friends I chose myself because I'm done with you controlling my life—
      Ikari Gozen: With pleasure, Hawkmoth.
      Kagami: Ughhhhhh!
  • When Ikari Gozen attempts to grab Kagami, she ends up grabbing Chloé instead, who later complains about how there's no Bluetooth inside the akuma's stomach.
  • Adrien is waiting for the winners of the contest when the akuma alert sounds out. He transforms and leaves whistling.
  • With no Scarlet Lady in sight, Chat Noir and Marigold decide it's time to get a Miraculous. Chat mentions that one of them will have to stay with Kagami—who quickly clings to Marigold. Later, Marigold has to Bridal Carry Kagami to escape Ikari Gozen. As far as Kagami is concerned, Chat doesn't need to rush.
  • When Chat Noir gives Kagami the Dragon Miraculous:
Kagami: [surrounded by sparkles] Yes, I am grateful you recognize me as the perfect candidate.
  • As Longg explains to Kagami what she can do, she's so eager to become a hero that she says the trigger phrase before Longg is done.
  • When Ryūko hears Chat Noir calling Scarlet Lady "Scar."
Ryūko: "Scar"? You call your leader Scar?
Chat Noir: Gross, Scar's not the leader. She's a mascot at best.
  • Marigold comes up with a plan and asks the others to distract Ikari Gozen. Ryūko seems awfully eager to fight her mother's akuma.
  • When Ikari Gozen reveals her Freudian Excuse for not letting Kagami have friends...
  • When Ryūko lets herself get imprisoned (which is part of the plan), Chloé calls her a loser for getting caught (despite having been caught first herself). A box of bath bombs immediately lands right on Chloé's head and shuts her up (much to Ryūko's delight).
  • Ikari Gozen literally vormits the messed up Chloé out of her body.
    Chloé: I HATE YOU PUKE-KO!
  • When Scarlet Lady finally arrives to the fight, neither Chat nor Ryūko are interested in her antics and quickly drag her towards Ikari Gozen.
Scarlet Lady: Worry not, my poor, lost sidekicks, I have arrived—
Chat Noir: Hurry up, we need the cure!
    Scarlet Lady: HEY!
  • When Scarlet Lady crows about getting Chloé to safety, she gets her ego punctured when Tomoe asks her who she is.
Caption: You're a fool if you think Tomoe cares about you or the "other" you, Scarlet Lady.
  • The tags at the end state that the other heroes likely ignored how Scarlet Lady was dripping in soapy water (from the bath bombs Ryūko used to get Chloé out of Ikari Gozen) by assuming the heroine was in the shower the entire time.
  • When Longg calls Kagami out for interrupting him, she immediately apologizes and addresses him as "Kamisama." He quickly forgives her and even pats her head while wagging his tail.
  • Kagami gets tackle-hugged from behind by an overexcited Marinette.
  • The Gorilla can be seen making bunny ears behind Aurore's head in the winning photo of the contest with his usual stony expression.

Crocoduel: Tales of You Two Again?!
  • The sheer fact that, due to the punctuation of the header, it sounds annoyed over the fact that the akuma is a repeat instead of someone new.
  • Luka not divulging his exact age to Lila becomes a Brick Joke as the latter becomes determined to find out the truth:
    • When Lila asks Luka how old he is turning on his birthday, Luka teasingly tells her that he'll be one year older than last year. An annoyed Lila calls him a smartass.
    • Lila then deduces that Luka and Juleka are twins because they have the same birthday, only for Luka to Troll her by suggesting that they might have been born on the same day years apart, all while Juleka has a Seen It All look, implying this isn't the first time her brother's pulled this on others.
    • Luka seemingly concedes defeat when Lila declares that he and Juleka must be twins if they're both Jagged's kids. However, as Lila walks away congratulating herself, he mentally notes that she still doesn't know just how old he and Juleka are turning.
  • Juleka tells Marinette that she knows who her father is and that he doesn't get along with her mother. Marinette immediately asks Juleka if he's a cop. Rose, who knows the truth, smirks at the guess.
  • Marinette's reaction when Juleka tells her that between her parents, her mother's the responsible one.
  • Since he's a famous model and Gabriel Agreste's son, Adrien doesn't bat an eye at Juleka and Luka's dad being someone who can't enter a cinema without causing a scene and has a manager they must talk through. Marinette, in the other hand, has wide eyes and Sweat Drops.
  • Marinette is confused when Jagged Stone shows up at the birthday party. When she finally gets it, her face is priceless. Juleka's sheepish reaction and Not-So-Innocent Whistle only makes it better.
  • Anarka immediately finds Jagged despite his attempts at being sneaky... because he parked his tour bus right on the dock.
  • Marinette, Luka, and Juleka realize the twins' parents are about to get akumatized.
Juleka and Luka: Happy birthday to us.
  • Even Hawkmoth is surprised about whom he's akumatizing:
    Hawkmoth: What? You two again?
  • Everyone at the party is so distracted watching the two akumas that they don't notice Adrien and Marinette sneaking off right behind them so they can transform.
  • Tikki tries to get Chloé to transform, but she complains that she can't fly to where the villains are despite being a Ladybug superhero.
Chloé: Make me able to fly!
    Tikki: No.
  • Scar gleefully mocks Marigold and Chat Noir when Guitar Villain and Captain Hardrock simply ignore the two superheroes. The villains then quickly yell at her that they're ignoring her, too.
  • When Marigold and Chat Noir realize that they forgot to carry their potions with them, their awkward reactions are hilarious.
  • While Chat Noir goes off to retrieve more Miraculous, Marigold pulls the unwilling Scar into protecting civilians.
    Scar: Noooooo!
Juleka: ...Maybe we should pitch in and help.
  • When Fu asks why Adrien doesn't have the space potion on him, Adrien points out that he can't be expected to carry weird colored cheese all the time. Plagg immediately calls him out for being a coward.
  • Alya, Mylène, and Lila watch as Captain Hardrock and Guitar Villain argue and reveal what happened between them, with Lila eager to learn all their secrets. Alya's glasses even crack from the shock.
Captain Hardrock: You only every cared about your music! That's why you dumped me when you started climbing the charts!
    Alya: Whoa.
    Lila: Omigod the tea.
Guitar Villain: Have you caught sea madness?! You dumped me! And didn't even tell me you were pregnant, and blocked me from my own kids!
    Alya: What?!
    Lila: Ohohomighod the tea!
  • Chat Noir and Marigold take Luka and Juleka with them to lend them each a Miraculous while a furious Scar is ignored and left behind.
    Scar: What about me?!
  • Chat Noir's conversation with Viperion after the latter has transformed:
Chat Noir: You're okay going against your parents.
Viperion: Going against authority is the Couffaine way. Even your parents.
Chat Noir: ...That's such a good way.
    Caption: Tech Us Your Ways
  • When Chat Noir uses his staff to send Marigold and Purple Tigress flying, Scarlet Lady tries to join them... only to get hit with a satisfying "WHACK!"
  • Marigold and Purple Tigress manage to snatch the broken record pieces and snap them over their knees... and then go Oh, Crap! when the butterfly doesn't show up.
  • When the heroes try to understand where the akuma is, Purple Tigress and Viperion each realize the other's secret identity:
  • When Purple Tigress punches Captain Hardrock and Guitar Villain with Clout, Viperion and Chat Noir are so shocked they are Jaw Dropping, and the latter Cataclysms the akumatized object without looking at it.
  • Juleka tells Marigold she knows Viperion's real identity and suspects Viperion knows hers. Marigold breaks into a cold sweat.
    Marigold: I-It's fine. Probably.
Juleka: Are you sure? You don't look fine.
    Marigold: Nah, it's probably cool.
  • Juleka tells off her parents for their arguments.
Anarka: J-Juleka, there's something you don't know about this ship rat—
Juleka: What, that he's my dad?
    Anarka/Jagged Stone: You knew?!
Juleka: I've always known. And now so does all of Paris.
  • Anarka and Jagged finally compare notes... and realize who actually caused their breakup.
Jagged Stone: Bob gave me your letter! It said you wanted nothing to do with me! It didn't even mention the kids!
Anarka: Have you swallowed sea water?! Bob gave me your letter and it said you wanted nothing to do with me! Right after I told Bob I was pregnant—
    [beat]
    Anarka and Jagged Stone: BOB!
    [Distant Reaction Shot]
Bob Roth: Why do I feel a sudden chill..?
Caption: That's the dread of your paycheck suddenly being in jeopardy Bob.
  • After getting over their initial anger, both Jagged and Anarka give up the ghost as they realize they were so easily fooled and took so long to figure it out.
  • As Juleka hugs her dad and tells him she loves him for the first time, the two suddenly undergo ColorFailure as she begs Jagged not to get back together with Anarka. Jagged comically sheds a Single Tear as he reassures Juleka that that ship has sailed.
Caption: Sailed into a hurricane and died.
  • Jagged finally decides to leave Bob Roth's record label, but his resignation letter is worded instead as a notice of termination for Bob despite him owning his record company. The fact that Bob himself initially seems to fall for it when he first reads it and does a Spit Take, all while he's implicitly just run up a Shockingly Expensive Bill at a fancy restaurant, makes it even better.

Robostus: Tales of Markov the Robot
  • Marinette finds Max talking to something in his bag, telling it that it's his best friend. Pollen is perplexed by the idea that Max's best friend lives in his bag, and Marinette add it doesn't make any sense... right before asking Pollen if the Kwami has enough spicy chips in her bag.
Caption: Ma'am, can you see yourself? Ma'am?!
  • When Chloé attempts to insult Markov (as well as Max's skills in creating him) by claiming her hair dryer is more advanced, Marinette snarks that the only one less advanced than a hair dryer is Chloé herself.
  • Marinette asking Mlle. Mendeleiev to let her go to the principal's office and get Markov.
Mendeleiev: No! And I'm done with this topic!
Marinette: Could it be Markov was right and you're jealous of a robot?
    Mendeleiev: Enough! Principal's office! Now!
    Marinette: Thank you!
    Mendeleiev: ...wait.
  • Hawkmoth wonders why he feels uneasy about telling Robostus about the Miraculous's wish-granting power. Later, both Hawkmoth and Marigold utter Flat Whats when Robostus declares he will use the wish to become a real human.
  • By the time Marinette reaches the principal's office, Markov has already transformed into Robostus and is attacking Damocles, prompting her to wordlessly turn around.
  • Max escapes from Robostus, telling him he will stop him so he can get Markov back. Robostus seemingly "cries" in response.
Robostus: Top 10 human betrayals. No. 5 will surprise you.
  • Adrien asks Fu for a new Miraculous, and Fu gives him the Horse.
Fu: Now, Adrien, I must stress that this is a very useful and important Miraculous and it needs to be treated with the utmost care.
Adrien: Uh, of course, Master Fu, but why is this one so special?
Fu: Because without it I can't get my hometown speciality tea any time I want.
  • The Running Gag of putting more emphasis on how impressive Markov's creation is continues with Kaalki, who gets Max's creation of an "evolving artificial intelligence" as his "glorious and famous" feat. Kaalki can only "surmise" that this is impressive.
  • Pegasus and Scarlet Lady's first meeting quickly descends into a slap fight between the two, with Pegasus holding the Ladybug heroine off with one hand behind his back. Chat Noir has to yell at them to knock it off.
  • Following Robostus's defeat, Gabriel is sweating buckets and declares that he needs to go lie down.
  • Natalie reveals a Cargo Ship with her tablet after Robustus is defeated.
Gabriel: N-Nathalie, order new missiles for the lair.
Nathalie: Yes Sir, and some tablet protectors.
Gabriel: ? Sure. I'm going to... lie down.
Nathalie: [to her tablet, after Gabriel leaves] You know I love you the most, right?

Prime Queen: Tales of Nadja the Reporter
  • When talking to Marinette on the phone, Lila suggests Chat Noir and Marigold could "tie [Scarlet Lady] to the chair so she behaves." Marinette, who was in Marigold mode at the time, says, "That's not a bad idea."
  • When Nadja asks about Scarlet Lady, Chat Noir says she'll be there "at the last possible second." A bonus panel reveals that Chloé is indeed waiting for the right time to make an entrance worthy of her stardom.
  • The first caller is Alya, who asks Chat Noir and Marigold if they are willing to give an interview for the Ladyblog. When Scarlet Lady points out Alya missed her, Alya deadpans that her blog's fans want the real heroes of Paris, not her.
    • When the twins ask about Koki Marina, Marigold states that the Turtle heroine is a great hero that will eventually return. Cut to Alya blushing for no apparent reason.
    • And, of course, Alya's sheer Refuge in Audacity in asking the heroes for an interview during Nadja's interview with the heroes.
  • The second caller is Lila. Scar begins mocking her, but Lila cracks to Marigold and Chat Noir, "How do you put up with Scarlet Lady when she's the worst?" Naturally, Scar bursts into anger while Marigold and Chat nervously try their best to answer with how Scar is an important asset, only for Lila to translate:
Lila: So you put up with her because you have to. Got it.
    Nadja: [exasperated] Goodbye, caller.
  • Under orders to get control of the show, Nadja asks the heroes about the rumors of them being a couple. Scarlet thinks the reporter is referring to her, but...
Scarlet Lady: Gross. As if I'd ever be a couple with either of these sidekicks!
Nadja: Um... I'm referring to "ChatGold." No one seems to care about your love life.
    Scarlet Lady: WHAT?!
  • After Nadja has turned into Prime Queen, she makes a return. Lila has something to say.
    Lila: What a dumpster fire.
Prime Queen: Good evening! Welcome to your new show! I'm your hostess, Prime Queen!
    Lila: ... Of course.
  • Marigold confesses she's in love with Chat Noir, but Prime Queen states it's not enough and demands them to give her the Miraculous if they want to prove their love.
Scarlet Lady: Gross. I'm not in love with either of these cretins. And I will do no such thing!
Prime Queen: Oh, I forgot you were there.
    Scarlet Lady: YOU-!
Caption: We all did, Prime Queen.
  • Prime Queen shows she has kidnapped Alya, and Scarlet Lady complains about having to save her since Alya had snubbed her. Lila promptly shoves the heroine into the television.
  • Chat Noir confessing he's in love with Marinette Dupain-Cheng causes Marigold to experience a Color Failure.
  • Later that night, Lila hears that Nadja wants to interview Alya... on a new show she's hosting.
Lila: All that melodrama over her dumb show being cancelled, and they just handed her a new one?!

Season 5

Zombizou: Tales of Caline the Teacher
  • Adrien is distracted with his thought that Marinette may be Marigold, and Plagg warns him that telling Fu may lead to him losing the Miraculous. Meanwhile...
Marinette: Pollen, should I try to find out Chat Noir's identity?
Pollen: Whatever you think is best!
  • One of the things Lila likes the most about Mme. Bustier is the "morning compliment time"—because she gets to engage in Passive-Aggressive Kombat full of Backhanded Compliments with Chloé.
  • When Chloé's sabotage of Marinette's present is shown, the former doesn't even bother hiding that she did it.
  • Mme. Bustier takes Marinette outside the classroom to speak with her, asking Alya to ensure things don't get out of hand. Alya assures her she'll keep everyone right on track... while the entire class is giving a Grade-1 Collective Death Glare (yes, even Rose) to Chloé, who is sweating buckets.
  • Hawkmoth sends the butterfly to akumatize Marinette... while praying that it will be worth the risk.
Caption: Hawkmoth is really at the end of his rope here.
  • Hawkmoth changes his mind and picks Mme. Bustier, but he's aware that she will target Marinette, so he's still worried about Chat Noir's reaction.
Hawkmoth: Well, switching from the girl to someone upset with the girl is marginally better, I guess. In for a penny, in for a pound.
Caption: "I mean, I already sent out the butterfly."
  • When Chloé witnesses Mme. Bustier being akumatized, she tries to sneak away until she hears Bustier saying she'll start with Marinette.
  • Sabrina is Zombizou's first victim, and she ends up tackling Lila to kiss her.
Lila: Sabrina! Stop smearing your lip gloss all over me! Now's not the time to realize how amazing I am!
  • Nathaniel attempts to warn everyone in art club about Zombizou, only for the akuma to show up right behind him. Nathaniel's Oh, Crap! face is hilarious.
Caption: Bye bye, Nathaniel (crying emoji)
  • Adrien fakes having fallen for Zombizou's effect.
Adrien: Oh noo, I-I feel faint. I think I- ugh, ki-kissou—
Nino: Dude, I love you but not enough to makeout with your zombie, stay away!
Caption: Sooo, if he WASN'T a zombie...?
  • When Max is caught by the zombies, he asks the others to hit Zombizou extra hard, because being kissed is very uncomfortable for him.
  • Kim pushes Scarlet Lady off the roof while shouting at her to get on with saving everyone.
  • Scar getting instant Laser-Guided Karma when she's the one that gets kissed instead of Marinette is worth a chuckle.
    • For extra Irony, she's kissed by Chat Noir, AKA Adrien Agreste, the boy she likes.
    • Plus, there's Scar's Skewed Priorities:
Scarlet Lady: Ew ew ew, CAT LIPS!
    • Not to mention Marinette's utterly mortified expression when she finally gets a chance to transform.
  • The next day, Marinette apologizes to her classmates for causing Mme. Bustier to be akumatized by going off on her... only for her classmates to think it was awesome she actually did that, with several of them revealing they've been holding a bit of a grudge against their teacher for what she lets Chloé get away with.
    • Alix, Nathaniel, Ivan, and Juleka, in particular, are blushing and staring at Marinette with starry eyes.
    • Then they declare they'd be willing to jump in front of a hundred akumas to protect Marinette, which she isn't exactly comfortable with.
      Marinette: Thanks, but PLEASE DON'T!
      Caption: You've traumatized me enough!

The Mime: Tales of Fred the Performer
  • Marinette is speaking with Pollen as she tries to narrow down Chat Noir's Secret Identity when Alya shows up all of a sudden and asks who Marinette's talking to. Marinette points at a pigeon and claims she was talking to "Jacques," much to Alya's befuddlement. The bird makes a cute bow as if Marinette is a Friend to All Living Things.
    • Alya apparently buys Marinette's Seamless Spontaneous Lie due to seeing Jacques bow to her in response.
    • Later, Jacques shines, even if it's Alya's turn to shine.
  • Alya shows Marinette a video that has, among other things, Scarlet Lady telling a journalist to get away from her because he works "for that cheap magazine." Marinette (who's already grown numb to Scarlet Lady's selfish and snobbish antics) can't quite see why that matters.
  • Alya's currently running the Ladyblog, the school blog, Marinette's fashion blog, and a blog about Markov. It's also implied there's even more blogs she didn't mention.
  • When Alya steps away to make a post on one of her many blogs, Pollen asks if she can see Alya's video, and Marinette moves to restart the video. A sudden gust of wind distracts her, and she accidentally deletes Alya's video. There aren't enough words that can explain how huge Marinette and Pollen's Oh, Crap! faces are.
  • In order to keep Alya from finding out about what happened, Marinette steals her bestie's cellphone and hides it behind her back while seeing her off. She does this in full view of Mylène, who gives her some epic side-eye while sliding out from behind her.
    Mylène: Marineeeeette.
Marinette: [gives her a cat-eyed stare, realizing she Didn't Think This Through]
  • When the Mime attacks the Agreste car, Marigold shows up to save them—and when she and Adrien see each other, they remember that there's a high chance the other is the person they like. So they flirt with each other.
    Adrien and Marigold: Hey~♥
  • Chat Noir joins Marigold.
Chat Noir: Starting the party without me, Honey Bee?
    Marigold: Hardly!
Chat Noir: Let's see what he's got!
[Chat Noir attacks, only to get whacked when the Mime mimes hitting him]
Marigold: Yeah, you won't be "seeing" much of anything.
  • When Marigold decides to give Mylène a Miraculous, she tells the girl to go and hide in an alley "for at least 10 minutes." Mylène is confused at how specific this request is.
  • Ultimutt apologizes as the Mime falls off the bus, though from context, it seems that she was holding onto his arm until he tried to attack her, meaning it was mainly his own fault.
  • Ultimutt tricks the Mime into participating in a mime off, during which she pretends to mime the throwing of a ball... but instead hits the akuma's hat with her real ball, allowing a Fetch of the hat and the akumatized object hidden inside it.
  • With Ultimutt ready to Fetch the Mime's hat, all that's missing is for Scarlet Lady to show up. Chat Noir primes up Cataclysm... and uses it to destroy the Eiffel Tower, just like in canon, even though it wasn't necessary.
Chat Noir: Oh, I know how to get her attention.
Chloé: [sunbathing, with the Eiffel Tower in the background]
Chat Noir: [in the distance] Cataclysm!
Chloé: [seeing the Eiffel Tower starting to collapse] Ugh, this again? Tikkiiiiii!
  • After the Mime is stopped, Chat Noir flirts with Marigold by suggesting they go to the show, only for Marigold to counter by strongly hinting she knows he's trying to discover her Secret Identity. She then challenges him to see which of them finds out the truth first. Chat Noir takes the challenge with a grin.
  • Scarlet Lady as Chat Noir, Marigold, and Ultimutt do the Fist Bump:
  • Marigold tells Barkk that being an actress gave Mylène a good sense of timing.
  • After all the catastrophizing Marinette went through in her fear of Alya's reaction to her video being deleted... it turns out that Alya's phone automatically uploads all her videos to the cloud.

Gorizilla: Tales of *hidden* the Bodyguard
  • Because The Gorilla's name has yet to be revealed, the title card puts his fist in front of the spot where his name would be.
  • While the fact that Gabriel seems to be drawing a potential connection between Adrien and Chat Noir is concerning, the way that he casually dismisses his son trying to ask him a question is somewhat amusing:
Gabriel: [as calculations swirl around his head] Yes... Busy...
    Adrien: Uh, père?
Gabriel: Why are you still here?
  • Chloé orders several boxes of Gabriel's latest perfume, Adrien, and lounges in the bottles while sighing about her crush. Not the perfume itself; just the bottles.
    Chloé: Radiant... Carefree... Dreamy... Adrien~
Tikki: Single-handedly financing the business, are you?
  • A bonus panel has Marinette explaining to Pollen why she's bringing so many swimsuits. Pollen admires her owner being so Crazy-Prepared while also quietly acknowledging the downside:
Marinette: So this swimsuit is in case something happens to the first swimsuit in the wave pool, and this swimsuit is in case someone spills ice cream on themselves, and this swimsuit is in case someone is self-conscious about the swimsuit they brought and wants to change...
Pollen: [proudly thinking] My Queen is so prepared and so going to be late.
  • When Marinette calls Alya to apologize about being late, Alya immediately guesses (correctly) that her best friend had tried to pack five backup swimsuits "just in case."
  • Poor Adrien's day gets worse when he's promptly recognized by Wayhem, who immediately drags him into a selfie and posts it. As others react to Adrien presence with stars in their eyes, he can only stare in horror, mumbling "Oh no."
  • Chloé is spraying EVERYTHING in her room with Gabriel's new fragrance. Once she gets an alert that Adrien's outside, she spritzes poor Tikki right in the face while preparing to "grace him with my presence":
Chloé: [posing proudly] Ready to go!
Tikki: [coughing] Now that you smell like teenage boy and cheese?!
  • Chloé's pettiness reaches even greater levels: she transforms into Scarlet Lady just because someone posted a photo of Adrien and Marinette and said the latter was Adrien's girlfriend.
    • She also tries to "rescue" Adrien from Marinette, failing to realize her attempt is completely unwanted.
    • Nor does she like the fact that Adrien chose "peasant" places to hide.
Scarlet Lady: What the heck, Adrikins, stop hiding out in poor places so I can rescue you already! The public park?! The subway?! Didn't your daddy raise you better?!
  • In Part 3's bonus, while Alya, Rose, and Mylène gossip about Adrien and Marinette being caught hiding in a fountain, there's a Funny Background Event of Kagami sporting a Death Glare as she shoots Alix in the back with a water gun.
  • When Adrien reveals how his father went so far as to hide the only DVD copy they had of the Solitudenote , it really triggers Marinette's Berserk Button.
Adrien: [noticing Marinette's Battle Aura] A-Are you okay?
    Marinette: Totes.
    Narration: Urge to kill rising.
  • While Adrien and Marinette are at the cinema, what should show up in the pre-movie ads but the Adrien fragrance ad? Adrien (who's wearing a motorcycle helmet) lowers the visor in annoyance while Marinette laughs.
Tags: #seriously missed opportunity that Adrien's friends didn't rip on him 24/7 after this commercial dropped
  • Adrien and Marinette's viewing of Solitude gets interrupted when someone gets a photo of them. Scarlet Lady shows up... and gets trampled by the crowd of Adrien fans.
  • One of Adrien's fans tries to invoke Commonality Connection by pointing out that they also watch movies, just like Adrien does.
  • Scar reveals her true colors:
Scarlet Lady: How dare you pretend to be my Prince's girlfriend!
Marinette: Is this what you do with your free time?
  • Gorizilla interrupts things by crashing his gigantic hand through the roof and grabbing Adrien.
Scarlet Lady: He got Adrien! Someone do something!
Random fan: Isn't that what you're here for?
  • Wayhem loudly declares he will save Adrien... while Marinette transforms just three rows behind him. He does in fact later help defeat Gorizilla by returning Marigold's top to her.
  • The caption, much like in "Horrificator," indulges in a Bait-and-Switch Comment at Scarlet Lady's expense:
Caption: Look what you fools have done! All that tagging Adrien's location, you brought Scarlet Lady right to him!
  • Adrien has no faith in Scarlet Lady.
Scarlet Lady: I'll save you, Mon Prince!
Adrien: I won't hold my breath.
  • Marigold prepares stop Gorizilla, commenting on how easy it'll be since she has Venom... only to have Scarlet Lady slaps the top away due to wanting save Adrien herself. Marigold looks ready to kill when the top falls off the ledge of the building they're on.
  • Scar tries to attack the akuma... and quickly gets herself captured.
  • When Adrien doesn't transform into Chat Noir even while Marigold's captured, Hawkmoth simply sighs and tells his akuma to let her escape, noting that he "can't make ads with a pancake son."
  • After Marigold brings Adrien to safety, he almost slips and calls her "Honeybee," causing others to wonder what's going on. Gorizilla chooses that moment to interrupt, giving Adrien and Marigold some hilarious Oh, Crap! faces.
  • After Wayhem throw's Marigold's top back at her and apologizes to Adrien for starting the mess, Adrien decides to give him his email address, saying he had fun when they met back during "Ikari Gozen"...
Adrien: But it's only for you. I better not find it on Reddit or something.
    Wayhem: F-Fair...
  • Gabriel tries to passive-aggressively hint to his son that he believed him to be Chat Noir. It... doesn't go the way he planned.
Gabriel: If you start hiding things from me, I'll imagine all kinds of things. Understand?
Adrien: No? What kinds of things?
    Gabriel: [flustered] Uh, nevermind.
  • When Marinette finally arrives to the water park, the girls crowd around her, eager to hear about what happened between Marinette and Adrien... when one of them uses a water gun on her. For extra hilarity, Kagami is the only one to have been seen carrying a water gun. You can easily see this as Kagami shooting water at Marinette because she's a Shipper on Deck and Marinette won't take the chance.
Alya: So, are you, like, Adrien's girlfriend now?
    Marinette: N-No!
Rose: But do you want to be?
    Marinette: [with a Luminescent Blush] ... I don't know.
Someone: [spraying Marinette with water] WRONG ANSWER!
    Marinette: GAH!!!

Sandboy: Tales of *hidden* the Sleepwalker
  • Plagg and Tikki sneak out of their homes to meet each other, with the latter concerned about whether Pollen can come up with a good excuse.
Tikki: I hope Pollen managed to come up with a cover story. She's not a good liar.
    [cut to Pollen and Marinette]
Pollen: Good night, my Queen. And thank you for allowing me to venture out this evening.
Narration: [with arrow pointing at Pollen] Just told the truth
    Marinette: Don't forget your gift!
  • Tikki and Plagg cheerily greet Pollen until they notice the latter carrying a bag much bigger than her. Moreover, the three Kwamis have the same reactions they did when they met in "Riposte."
  • Tikki and Plagg sweat and exchange nervous glances when Sass notes how fortunate they are that their holders allowed them to attend.
  • Despite lamenting in "Reflekta" that without her influence, Marinette was (seemingly) becoming a criminal, Tikki steals Chloé's diamond scrunchie to give to Nooroo and eagerly anticipates Chloé noticing it's missing, complete with a Cheshire Cat Grin.
  • Many of the character's nightmares are Absurd Phobias:
    • Marinette's nightmare takes the form of a Chat Noir who declares he's in love with Scarlet Lady. While her canon fear of Adrien being in love with Chloé was somewhat understandable due to the two being Childhood Friends, Chat Noir has never shown anything except exasperation and dislike towards Scarlet.
    • Chloé's nightmare is being attacked... by her clothes and makeup.
    • Rose's nightmare is being hated by her many stuffed animals.
  • When the Chat Noir in Marinette's nightmare shows up, Rose kicks him in the face and proceeds to beat the crap out of him as she drags him into a Big Ball of Violence. Rose later manages to restrain Nightmare!Chat Noir by putting him in a Boston crab
Marinette: [thinking while saluting Rose] Bless you Rose you violent angel.
  • When Marinette gets into Master Fu's home, she briefly forgets the code for the Miraculous Box, leading to the image of a panicking Marinette trying (and failing) to open a gramophone.
  • Marinette wakes Fu up while he's having a nightmare of being blamed for the Order of the Guardians' destruction. The Bedsheet Ghosts are so non-scary that Marinette doesn't know why Fu is scared.
  • The Kwamis manage to contact Nooroo... right when Hawkmoth was using the Miraculous. The Kwamis' reactions (particularly Plagg treating everything like a botched phone call) are hilarious.
  • While persecuted by the Bedsheet Ghosts, Fu reveals that whatever he did was because he was hungry. The Kwamis decide not to make the scene more awkward than it is and just silently sweatdrop as they watch. Tikki and Plagg even keep staring as they fly back to their holders, with Plagg attempting a Not-So-Innocent Whistle.
  • As Marigold picks up a Miraculous to lend out, Fu begs her to use Bee Balm to at least get rid of the nightmares.
  • Upon returning to Adrien, Plagg is greeted by his holder, who cries tears of immense relief that his Kwami is no longer a sock, not realizing that Plagg snuck off after leaving a sock as a Sleeping Dummy.
  • Chloé believes that her belongings came to life and are attacking her because they want to overthrow her out of jealousy; she only realizes it's an akuma when Tikki suggests it.
  • Rather than get excited that she's about to become a temporary hero, Rose is instead horrified by the thought of having to fight a child, forcing Marigold to assure her that they need her for something else.
  • Even after transforming, Pigella's fear (her stuffed animals hating her) doesn't change, leading to Scarlet Lady mocking her and Sandboy whining that her fear doesn't give him a lot to work with. There's also Scarlet Lady's hypocrisy: she mocks Pigella for having a nightmare that mostly involves just being attacked by stuffed animals (while being Bridal Carried by the Pig heroine, no less), even though Chloé's nightmare was being attacked by her makeup and clothes.
  • When the child tells Pigella what happened, the heroine's Tranquil Fury leads to Marigold thinking that Hawkmoth better hope Pigella never finds him.
  • Once more, the heroes have to deal with a temporary hero ready to adopt their Kwami.
Rose: So what's your favorite color? Food? What about music —
Marigold: Stop stop stop, this isn't an adoption!
  • The idea of being allowed to scold Marinette mentally breaks Pollen, who ends up losing consciousness:
Pollen: [muttering with Blank White Eyes] Scold... my Queen? [drifting off] Me scold... my Queen. Scold—
Plagg: [to Marinette] I think you broke her, Pigtails.
  • Due to the Kwamis's attempt to contact Nooroo, Gabriel now knows how many Kwamis there are in Paris, which he soon gloats about. Unlike canon, however, Nooroo... isn't exactly worried, though Gabriel did in fact manage to get his hands on nearly all the Miraculous in the season 4 finale. Zoe justifies this gag by claiming to have written that page before the end of season 4. She also points out that technically, Felix was the one who obtained all the Miraculous, not Gabriel.
Gabriel: I'll find them all and their Miraculouses! Then I'll have unlimited power at my disposal! Then nothing will stop me! Bwahahaha!
Nooroo: You haven't even managed to get the Miraculouses you're invested in, you flop.

Reverser: Tales of Marc the Writer
  • As is often the case, the chapter titles together form a Hurricane of Puns, though this time, the author takes the novel approach of using pairs of words, with the first being a real word while the second is a pun on the first, containing a word sounds like the opposite of part of the first word. The resulting titles are: "Breakfast, Breakslow," "Cashew, Cashaw," "Fireworks, Waterworks," "Planet, Screwet," "Champagne, Champleasure," "Wardrobe, Peacedrobe," "Hot Dog, Cold Dog," "Cyclops, Walkops," "Ketchup, Ketchdown," "Internship, Leadership," "Tyrannosaurus, Electedsaurus," "Popsicle, Classical," "Smoothie, Roughie," "Parking, Parqueen," "Mango, Womango," "Pasteurized, Futurized," and "Radioactive, Radiolazy."
  • As he heads up to the art room, Nathaniel laments how he's been looking for the person he danced with at Chloé's party for a while now with no luck... right as Marinette spots Marc sitting beneath the stairs.
Caption: You need to look DOWN Nat!
  • Nathaniel turns out to have been making a lot of art about an evil Scarlet Lady.
Art Teacher: Why do you keep drawing [Scarlet Lady] as a villain?
Nathaniel: Artistic expression. I'm expressing how Marigold is better than her.
  • When Chloé barges into the art classroom to present her "unique masterpiece," Alix (while imitating Chloé's overdramatic pose) immediately guesses that it's "another collage of selfies." When it turns out she's right, everybody else begins to laugh.
    • Also, the key word is another. How many times has Chloé tried to do this?
    • Chloé attempts to retaliate by mocking the others' work, first Juleka and Rose's songs (with Juleka reminding her that their band actually has a contract and Chloé helped XY when he tried to rip Kitty Section off) and Marinette's dresses (only for Marinette to smugly point out that Jagged Stone and Gabriel Agreste don't think the same... and that Chloé tried to rip her off twice).
    • Chloé turns to Marc... and stops mid-sentence because she doesn't know who they are, even though the two have met at least once. Marc still flees from the room in fright and even Screams Like a Little Girl!
  • The art teacher tries to come to Chloé's defense... and is promptly shut down by Alix.
Art Teacher: Well Alix, if Chloé really did have an art project, it's too bad we didn't give her a chance to tell us about it, isn't it?
Alix: Uh, no? Why would I want her here? So she can come insult everyone, take over the art room, and try to steal ideas from us?
    Art Teacher: ...
Alix: Yeah, that's what I thought.
Caption: Sounds like she'd be a GREAT contribution to the club, dude.
Tags: #she LITERALLY has a track record of art theft and sabotage Mr. Art Teacher!
  • Marc drops a book which Marinette picks up, finding it's called... "The Diary of Ladybug." Not only that, but Marc's story has Hawkmoth being helped by two people: Scarlet Queen (a villainous Scarlet Lady) and Antibug (a villainous Chloé), both of whom would be the same person.
Marinette; [reading the title] ... Who's that?
Caption: No one, no one at all.
  • Marinette awkwardly muses that she doesn't know if it's brave or dumb to make a blatantly anti-Chloé and anti-Scarlet Lady story.
Tags: #in fairness to Marc they never SAID it was Chloe...just heavily implied it
  • When Marc proves reluctant to meet with Nathaniel and show him their writing.
    • And, for irony's sake, it turns out the plan is pretty straightforward: Marinette gives the book to Nathaniel, tells him it's from a friend, and then asks if he wants to meet them. If only Chloé hadn't found out about it...
    • Marinette and Adrien are later seen keeping watch from her terrace, happy to see that Marc and Nathaniel are getting along just fine... until they notice Chloé marching towards them. Cue a frantic race for the stairs to prevent a catastrophe. They both end up tumbling and landing in the corridor downstairs.
      Caption: They're trying their best.
Tags: #adrien and marinette just know chloe means no good ON SIGHT
  • When Nathaniel reads the book, he finds a scene in which Ladybug captures Scarlet Queen because the villain was too preoccupied with her hair to put up a fight.
    • In the scene, Scarlet Queen sacrifices Antibug so she could get away. In other words, it has Chloé using herself as a Human Shield.
Nathaniel: [reading] "I'm sure Antibug would've done the same to Scarlet Queen if she could."
    • The following Imagine Spot has Antibug with some comical Ocular Gushers as she's tied up by the heroes.
  • Chloé overhears Alix and Nathaniel discussing his new "Scarlet Queen" drawings and thinks the latter has "properly glorified [her] other self." She decides to have a look at his drawings on the school blog. Cue Distant Reaction Shot.
Chloé: [seeing the sketches] WHAT IS THIS?!
  • When Marinette suggests that Nathaniel meet with the book author, Nathaniel is all in... and has already deduced it's Marc.
  • Marc gets akumatized (of course) because of Chloé and proceeds to attempt to use their powers on her. Then Officer Raincomprix shows up (while Chloé is slipping away from the chaos in the background).
  • While under the influence of Reverser's powers, Mayor Bourgeois announces that instead of launching Paris's new space dumpster program, which involves storing the city's trash in orbital dumpsters, he will instead order the satellites to release all the trash back down to Paris and make it the world's biggest trash heap. Someone in the crowd asks why that is even a feature.
  • Marigold wonders how Scarlet Lady got even worse after getting hit by Reverser and becoming a whiny crybaby with no confidence who incessantly complains about how hopeless it is that they'll win.
  • When Fu fakes a fall, Chat Noir realizes that he's the only one who technically can "help" the elderly man. To make matters worse, he has to climb up the stairs (thanks to Reverser, Chat Noir has lost his confidence in anything he does and is now nervous about heights).
    • Master Fu/Jade Turtle reveals that he can't help out in the fight himself since he'll get backlash once the transformation goes away, which is why he snaps at Chat Noir to hurry.
    • After detransforming, Fu is indeed hunched over and out of breath.
  • When Chat Noir and Marigold convince Nathaniel to get to safety, Scarlet Lady cries about how no one's taking her to safety. Nathaniel also nervously asks if Chat Noir plans on taking him to the sewer.
  • Chat Noir presents Nathaniel with a Miraculous... and then cries at the thought of Nathaniel refusing, which would mean Chat will have to fight the bad guy himself.
  • As Marigold clumsily tries (and fails) to use Bee Balm, Scarlet mutters that what she's trying to do is "pointless, utterly pointless." Word of God also reveals that the bonus panel containing the scene was drawn only the day before in response to all the questions about why Marigold didn't just use Bee Balm.
  • When Ziggy explains the power of the Goat Miraculous, Nathaniel laments that being able to only create one item is a downgrade from his powers as Evillustrator. Ziggy gets annoyed at this and headbutts him while saying the limit is only because Nathaniel's a "kid."
  • The news report's headline calls Reverser an "evil oreo."
  • Chat Noir's reaction when Marigold says she has a plan:
Chat Noir: Oh no, a plan.
Marigold: There, there Kitty. It'll be okay.
[The bonus panel shows a blindfolded Chat being carried across a roof by Caprikid].
Chat Noir: This is so not okay, Marigold!
  • The first panel on the next page says that meanwhile, Marigold and Scarlet Lady took a taxi to get to the Eiffel Tower.
  • Scarlet Lady begrudgingly summons a Lucky Charm at Marigold's urging, saying that it probably won't help. She's proven right a few minutes later when Caprikid and Chat Noir manage to stop Reverser without it, which the caption even points out.
  • When Reverser asks why Chat Noir isn't with the two girls:
Marigold: You made him a coward, what did you expect?!
  • Caprikid drops Chat Noir in order to save Marc, who worriedly asks about the Cat hero's safety while Chat's screaming can be seen in the background behind the speech bubbles.
  • As Caprikid tries to reassure Marc that Nathaniel will want to know them better and almost calls them by their name, Chat Noir interrupts (clearly a bit salty over the whole "being dropped mid-air" thing).
Chat Noir: Hey, Caprikid, hate to cut you off but we "goat" to go. [in a lower voice] Don't give too much away, "kid."
  • To apologize to Ziggy for the "downgrade" comment, Nathaniel draws a picture of both Ziggy and Caprikid together. Ziggy says they'll keep the drawing with them forever... while they're eating the drawing.
    Nathaniel: GAH! DON'T EAT IT!
Caption: Ziggy's a goat, I don't know what you expected.
  • The first issue of "The Diary of Ladybug" is dedicated to Marinette. Nathaniel and Marc offer to put her in the comic "... as Multimouse. Or Maotif, if you prefer." Marinette waves them off with a face that's almost Blue with Shock as Pollen nearly has a fit in her purse. "That's very thoughtful, but I'd rather not," says Marinette.

Party Crasher: Tales of Wayhem the Fun Guy
  • When Master Fu, posing as Adrien's tutor, arrives at Agreste Manor, he asks if Adrien minds asking The Gorilla to put him down.
  • Nino completely supports Kim's idea to crash Adrien's place while Gabriel is gone and fails to understand why Max and Ivan are so uneasy about it.
Caption: This has bad idea written all over it, guys.
  • To Nathalie, if driving Gabriel's hologram is any different from driving the real Gabriel around, it's because it's more peaceful.
  • When the guys are discussing skipping on tree-planting with the girls, Nino pulls out cards with ready-made excuses to send.
  • After the girls read aloud the various excuses the guys sent, Lila is the one who points out how they're all Blatant Lies, and she and Sabrina laugh about how unconvincing the excuses are. This is soon followed by collective Flat "What" from the rest of the girls, with Lila making a hilarious face when she realizes only she and Sabrina spotted the lies.
Caption: Of course Lila would clock a lie immediately.
  • When the guys get to the Manor, they manage to convince The Gorilla to let them enter by bribing him with action figures. The fact that the guys had those action figures at the ready strongly hints that this isn't the first time one of them had to bribe Adrien's bodyguard.
  • When Adrien tries to get them to leave, Fu is fully on board with joining the guys' hangout.
Caption: Fu hasn't been out in a long time.
  • In order to determine whether Lila was right, Marinette makes a group call. The guys don't pick up—which Marinette uses to confirm they're together. When she turns to look at the girls, all of them (yes, even Rose and Mylène) are sporting Battle Auras and Cross-Popping Veins.
  • Nino tells Adrien Marinette can't come over to the party because it's "No Girls Allowed!" When Adrien (with teary eyes) asks why, Nino opts to Change the Uncomfortable Subject.
  • Max turns on the music so high it can be heard from outside. Cut to outside the Mansion, where all the visibly ticked-off girls are now standing:
  • When Max reveals that the manor's energy supply can compete with a nuclear power station...
Adrien: My father always has to own the biggest and the best.
Max: No, I don't think you understand how not normal this is.
Caption: (Look, Max should've had a way more concerned reaction to this discovery)
  • When The Gorilla won't let Marinette in, she has a message that leaves the camera eyestalk with a Sweat Drop:
Marinette: Oh? Not letting me in? That's fine, that's fine. If you could just leave a message for the slackers from us girls: "We're going to make you all eat dirt."
Caption: Just remember, you guys started it.
    Tags: #it's freakin' ON!
  • Roger, Sabrina's father, arrive at the manor because of a noise complaint, followed soon after by Adrien's photographer, who is there for a photo shoot appointment. Both of them get drawn into the impromptu party that's forming: while the photographer decides the party is the perfect backdrop for the photos, Roger's reason is that he got distracted because the guys were playing foosball the wrong way.
    • Meanwhile the girls are still stuck outside and both times expect the party to be put to an end, only to be frustrated when it doesn't and the adult in question just joins the party instead. They then get more pissed when they still aren't let in, even as a freaking line starts forming for people to join the party.
    • The caption points out to the girls that they shouldn't be surprised that they can't rely on adults to fix things.
  • Marinette pointing out how ridiculous it is that the guys, many of whom are dating the girls in their group, will let in complete strangers into the party as long as they're not a girl. Cue all the girls glancing her way as Marinette asks why they're looking at her like that, not realizing she just gave her friends an idea. Alya immediately tells Juleka to call her brother Luka while calling her best friend a genius, much to Marinette's confusion.
  • Meanwhile the boys are inside and decide it's time to head out: cue Jagged Stone (in his helicopter no less!) arriving to join the party along with several others (among them the guy with the banana suit and M. Damocles in his "The Owl" costume). Kim is excited as he declares, "the more the merrier," as the rest of the guys (sans Adrien) have a collective Oh, Crap! reaction to the party crashers.
  • Poor Marinette gets volunteered for the girls' plan have one of them dress as a boy and infiltrate the party, which involves putting on baggy clothes borrowed from Juleka and Luka along with his helmet and a fake mustache. Presto! Marino, Luka's band mate from school!
    • Luka's general demeanor along with the following line shows exactly why he went along with being their "guy on the inside":
Luka: This is gonna be hilarious.
Tags: #lukas just here to watch this all burn and laugh
    • Once Marinette gets inside, Lila encourages her to "fight like a girl," just like Lila taught her. Marinette proceeds to lay on the guilt thick (while the guys give hilarious Oh, Crap! expressions in response).
Marinette: [to Marc and Nathaniel] Man, I'm so glad to be out of that heat! I'd hate to be stuck out there while it's so sweltering, you know?
[to Max and Nino] What a party! It'll be a miracle if M. Agreste doesn't hear about it!
[singing] You made me promises, promises, knowing I'd believe~ Promises, promises, you knew you'd never keep~
      Luka: Girls fight hard.
  • Master Fu's opinion of Kim:
Master Fu: [thinking] Certainly this boy is big of heart (and dumb of ass).
  • When Gabriel gets the electricity to his lair shut off, he demands, "What the $%&# is going on in here on this day?!" He then transforms into Hawkmoth to find someone in the party to akumatize and make them restore power, except...
Hawkmoth: I don't feel strong negative emotions... just the usual general anxiety... I can only feel... Joy and happiness?! Disgustang! (sic)
  • Ivan has an absolutely hilarious face as he spirals about how out of control the party's gotten.
  • The adults at the party find the "Stationation" vinyl disc and realize they have all the men needed to sing it save for the Mustachio'd Biker... so they ask Marino to join (with M. D'Argencourt and Officer Raincomprix being the most insistent). Marinette gets rid of her disguise to stop them.
  • When Party Crasher crashes the party, Alya begins filming.
Mylène: Do... do we call someone?
Lila: Who do we call? The cops are at the party.
    Caption: They'd be useless anyway.
  • After finding a place to hide, Fu has a comical look on his face as he wipes his forehead and remarks what a close call that was (he had brought all the Miraculous with him to the Agreste Manor).
  • How does Ziggy greet Nathaniel when Fu has the Kwami bring their respective Miraculous to the temporary heroes already at the party? With a headbutt.
  • When Fu gives out other Miraculous to Marigold and Chat Noir, he admits that all the other options (the girls) are outside. It then cuts to the girls. The ones who were temporary heroes want to join in based on their facial expressions, but they can't leave the group without compromising their identities.
  • True to form, when Xuppu comes out, he and Kim begin to insult and blow raspberries at each other. Then, when the time comes to return the Miraculous, they're at it again.
Chat Noir: Thank God this is only temporary.
  • Party Crasher complaining about all the temp heroes, pointing out that Hawkmoth only wants the ring and the earrings and to go get Scarlet Lady. This prompts the girls (who are still stuck outside) to wonder where she is, causing Lila to tell Sabrina to "go nag Chloé to get her lazy BFF over here."
    • Sabrina manages to do exactly this, somehow getting past all the hotel security and into Chloé's room before yelling at her former friend to get Scarlet Lady to show up.
    • There's also the fact that while everything has been going on, Chloé has been across the street and didn't notice anything.
  • When Scarlet Lady finally arrives and berates the others for being unable to defeat an akuma on their own, Chat Noir loudly tells Viperion to use Second Chance for when she screws the plan up. Their deadpan expressions just sell it.
  • Pegasus starts the music, and Scarlet Lady begins to dance with her "world-class training" (a comment that makes Foxtrot give her an absolutely hilarious deadpan glare)... only for Party Crasher to catch her insultingly easily. Viperion's sigh before activating Second Chance just sells it.
  • Marigold cries at Stompp and Ivan being such a wholesome pair right when she has to take the Kwami back.
  • The guys literally grovel while apologizing as the girls look down on them with a Collective Death Glare.
    • Kim "volunteers as tribute" to appease the girls, insisting that it was entirely his fault that the boys ditched the girls. Somebody notes that his delivery sounds almost as though he's bragging about that.
    • The guys have a group hug as they all say they're sorry and admit it was all their faults that they ditched work and let the party get out of control. Marinette sarcastically reminds them that they were supposed to be apologizing to the girls.
  • The guys are put to work on the tree-planting they originally committed themselves attempting to skip out on it, all while under the watchful eyes of the girls. However, the author realizes there's one little loose end she forgot to tie up...
  • Marinette finally learns she was Master Fu's original pick for the Ladybug Miraculous when he casually brings it up. It turns out Fu forgot to tell her.

Frozer: Tales of Philippe the Ice Skater
  • The author repeatedly apologizes about the terrible art on the header.
  • Like other episodes before, the titles are themed puns, this time around ice: "Be Chill My Beating Heart," "This Is Snow Joke," "All Hail Broke Loose," "Of Ice And Men," "Freeze The Day," "Cold As Ice," "Friends Or Froze?," "Chilled To Bits," "Ice Seeing You," "A Glacial Pace," "A Frigid Surface," "Freeze Things Happen," "All Dressed Up And Snowhere To Go," "Icy What You Did There," "A Cold Day In Hail," and "All Is Not Frost."
  • When Chat Noir says he's 85% sure of Marigold's Secret Identity, she complains... because she's only 75% sure. She then grumbles about losing the "game."
    • Then he says he's so certain about it that he'll ask "her" out. While Marigold blushes, he teases her that she has to say yes since she's in love with him. Marigold hits him and calls him a smug dork with the most embarrassed look on her face while saying how he better say yes when she asks him.
    • The caption indicates Chat Noir is doing as a distraction from his problems:
Caption: Tease your way into forgetting your problems U_U
  • The author warns in the tags that Adrien and Marinette will both be holding on to the Idiot Ball in this episode.
Tags: #full disclosure: this episode only happens because I made them kinda stupid
  • Plagg asks Adrien what will happen if Marigold is wrong about his identity. Adrien replies that Marigold will then go out with some other guy... and then he realizes the implications of that. Meanwhile, Marinette has the exact same realization dawn on her. The narration helpfully marks them as idiots.
    • If you pay attention, you can just make out the hint of a smile and Aside Glance as Plagg asks this and realize he's setting Adrien up to follow that train of thought. It's implied Pollen may have done something similar, but while she would've done out of innocent naiveté, Plagg most likely did it just to mess with his kid.
    • Adrien and Marinette later face each other and simultaneously ask the other out.
Caption: Luckily they're idiots who are correct, so, good for you two.
    • While everyone else cheers them on... Chloé's horrified/jealous face is absolutely hilarious.
  • The duo agrees to a date next Friday and are both happy that they have a date... which is when both of them realize it would be their first date ever. Cue both running to beg their friends for ideas.
    • Adrien first asks Alya and Nino, who reminisce about Marigold locking them together during "Animan." He then asks Ivan and Mylène, with the latter mentioning how she fell in love with Ivan after reading the lyrics he wrote before his second akumatization. Next, he asks Marc and Nathaniel, who mention bonding over their love of fanfiction... after Marc's akumatization. So Adrien then turns to...
Adrien: Juleka, please have a love story that doesn't involve akumas!
      Juleka: KYAH!
      • Juleka promptly reveals that Rose was the one that handled the romance part (while leaving out how she herself was Oblivious to Love for most of it), so Adrien briefly considers asking his father.
      • Then Luka suggests an idea... and offers to be there if Adrien needs help. Juleka quickly sends a message to Rose:
    • Meanwhile, Marinette decides to ask Kim, and on the next page, he and Ondine remind her that they were both akumatized before they started dating.
Marinette: Why are all my friends like this?!
      • The fact that Marinette is so desperate for ideas that she thought to ask Kim for advice.
      • Marinette is so distraught she begs Kagami for help... even more so after learning that Luka's going to be there as well!
  • Kagami eventually agrees to tag along, but she reminds Marinette that she needs to pick a place. Ondine suggests the ice rink since there shouldn't be many people there. Kim agrees it is a great idea and not only suggests he and Ondine go as well, he sends a message inviting all the other couples in the class to go. Ondine's face as she sees Kim's screw-up is perfectly deadpan.
Caption: This is quickly turning into a couple's field trip.
  • Mayor Bourgeois declares the ice rink is being "turned into a gym for ma chére fille—uh, for Paris." He then briefly agrees with Philippe that attendance seems to be going up when Kagami, Luka, Marinette, and Adrien arrive, only to quickly try to walk back his words again when Chloé yells at him.
  • Philippe questions why Chloé came to the rink wearing a skating outfit under her coat when she's the one attempting to shut the place down.
Caption: You have to dress the part, DUH!
  • As Marinette and Kagami are putting on their skates...
Marinette: Sorry you gave up your Friday to third— uh, 13th wheel. Please don't force yourself to stay for my sake.
Kagami: I'll stay. I mostly agreed because I thought it'd be funny to watch.
    Marinette: Uhh, thanks?
Caption: I would've come fore the spectacle of it all as well, Kagami.
  • Kim and Ondine are the first on the ice. Kim slips three seconds later. Philippe then offers skate lessons to him, only for Kim to ask if he can turn the rink into a pool.
  • When Luka shoots down Alya's inquiry of if he and Kagami are a couple, stating that he's not her type, Alya asks what the other girl's type is. Kagami bluntly replies, "Girls."
  • Marc and Nathaniel are psyching themselves up to impress the other... only for Chloé to do her thing and push them to the ground, causing them to land in a pile.
Philippe: You look like you could use some skate lessons!
Nathaniel: [Flipping the Bird at Philippe] I think you could use a lesson in tact.
  • Philippe continues to harass the teens to offer them skating lessons, prompting Nino to tell Alya that now he knows why no one else comes to this ice rink.
  • Marinette and Adrien stumble around, and Adrien comments that at least they are only in front of their friends, not professional athletes. Cue Luka holding Kagami in the Dirty Dancing pose. Moreover, when Marinette asks how Kagami is so good at a sport she doesn't care about, Adrien reveals Kagami learned to skate after watching Ranma ½'s Skating Arc—much to Kagami's ire, because she told him that in confidence. (That arc has characters which are described here.)
  • When Nino trips, Kim asks why Nino is falling when he's supposed to be a good ice skater. It's all but said that Nino is just faking being bad so he has an excuse to hold Alya tightly.
Tags: Marinette is unimpressed with your schemes Nino
  • Mylène is almost convinced to join skating classes... until she sees Chloé getting chased by Luka and Kagami.
Kagami: If you don't stop I'll use these skates more creatively!
  • When Philippe sees Adrien:
Philippe: Why was I wasting my time on these normies when he was here?!
Rose: Um, we can still hear you.
  • Philippe then proceeds to be a Moment Killer by interrupting Adrien and Marinette just as they were blushing and remarking on the Contrived Coincidence of them asking the other out on the same day—ironically, doing the same thing Chloé always does. He literally knocks Marinette down in his rush to get to Adrien.
  • While it also crosses into Tear Jerker, there's something funny about seeing Mayor Bourgeois with tears streaming down his face over Chloé barely even showing any appreciation over him getting the rink closed down like she wanted.
  • When Frozer shows up, Chloé has stars in her eyes as she excitedly exclaims, "Akuma! Perfect timing!" Meanwhile, Adrien tells Marinette to hide somewhere safe while he goes to find help. Marinette lampshades the fact that he's doing it when they pretty much know each other's secret identities.
  • Why does Chloé have an ice magic-aroon?
Tag: how did Chloe get the magic-aroons? Marigold handed them over through gritted teeth. For the greater good.
  • Scarlet Lady realizes something's going between the Cat and Bee heroes but fails to realize they're flirting with each other, instead just dismissing it as them acting weird.
  • As Chat Noir and Marigold are skating away from Frozer...
Chat Noir: Time to activate your trap idea, Ma Princessenote !
    [Beat]
Marigold: [blushes as she realizes what happened
Scarlet Lady: I used Lucky Charm while you were being weird.
    Caption: Wrong nickname, WRONG NICKNAME!!!!
  • For once, Scarlet seems to be more on task than the other two heroes, though for selfish reasons:

  • After the defeat of Frozer, Chat Noir goes for a fist bump with Marigold, but she stops him with a question.
    Chat Noir: Bien—
Marigold: Ah, Chat— um, Glacier Noir?
    Chat Noir: ?
Marigold: [blushing] Why'd you call me princess?
    Chat Noir: Oh! Uh—
    Scarlet Lady: Isn't is obvious?
Chat Noir and Marigold: [both thinking, in shock] "Obvious"?! Does she know?!
Scarlet Lady: Cuz you have a tiara now, duuuuuuuh!
Chat Noir: [thinking] Bless up that she's slow.
  • After Adrien endorses the rink, André realizes he won't be able to shut it down, but when Chloé states she doesn't care anymore, he gives a sigh of relief. Also, why doesn't Chloé care? Well, she just ruined Adrien and Marinette's date, there's no way they'll try again after that disaster! Cue Adrien and Marinette lovingly embracing each other and Chloé's Big "NO!".
  • Adrien and Marinette confess their love for each other in a romantic scene... which is being slightly ruined by their classmates.
Adrien: And do you all mind?!
    Rose: Nah.
Alya: [filming everything with her cellphone] Keep going.

Frightningale: Tales of Clara the Pop Star
  • When Marinette asks Pollen for advice on what to do with Adrien, not realizing how much pressure she's putting on her Kwami, who knows Adrien is Chat Noir but can't tell her queen after Tikki drilled her on the importance of protecting the heroes' secret identities. Pollen tries to diplomatically reply that life is full of surprises, though Marinette doesn't let up.
Marinette: Pollen, please, I'm begging you for some actual advice!
  • Adrien makes a funny, pouty face when he asks Plagg if the Kwami really thinks Adrien would love his partner Marigold any less even if she isn't Marinette.
  • Adrien and Gabriel about the former playing Chat Noir for Clara's music video.
Gabriel: Besides, he's the Hero of Paris that everyone loves. How could you object?
Adrien: I don't know but it sounds like you want to.
Caption: Naturally he has to go with what's popular, no matter how much he hates it.

  • After Lila compliments Sabrina, the other girls all tease Lila about secretly loving all of them.
Lila: [seeing all the girls grinning at her] W-what?! What's that look for?!
    Alya: You loooooooove us, Li-la~♥
Lila: [blushing] No way, you're all insufferable.
    Alix: Looove us~♥
Caption: Ha ha, you care about your friends~!
  • The Terrible Interviewees Montage is full of people messing up... along with a few surprises.
Alix: Hey Sabrina, isn't that your dad?note
    Sabrina: Please stop talking.
Caption: Hey, at least he IS dancing.
  • When Clara trips and Marinette quickly moves to help her, the singer decides to ask her to play Marigold—still rhyming, much to Marinette's shock. Marinette tries to duck out of it, but Adrien keeps trying to get her to do it.
Adrien: You'd make a purrfect Marigold, Marinette.
Marinette: [thinking] Is he trying to get me in trouble? [aloud] That's so nice of you! But I came with my friends to be extras. I don't want to leave them.
    Alix: Loves us~
    Rose: Awwww, Marinette!
Adrien: You can be Marigold and hang with your friends. C'moooooon.
Marinette: [thinking] He is trying to get me in trouble!
Caption: We're going to have SUCH a talk about this later! Wait, no we can't.
  • Marinette's friends all hug her as they congratulate her for getting the part of Marigold and thus helping them secure roles as extras in the music video. None of them realize how uncomfortable Marinette is with all this.
  • Chloé decides to attend auditions to try out for the role of Scarlet Lady, completely ignoring how Clara Nightingale explicitly said they were only looking for extras and someone to play Marigold. When she shows up to the music video shoot wearing an exact replica of her Scarlet Lady costume, she gets a few comments about how she looks nothing like the heroine.
Tags: #'she doesn't even LOOK like Scarlet Lady' is my magnum opus lmao
  • Clara flat-out tells Chloé that Scarlet Lady isn't featured in the video, so Chloé demands to know why they're excluding Scarlet Lady, THE Hero of Paris according to her, from a video about the Heroes of Paris. Cue Lila sporting a Battle Aura, ready to answer the question:
Lila: FINALLY... My time has come!
Caption: Let's be real: if anyone was going to give Scar a Public Dressing Down, it was going to be Lila.
    • Chloé makes some hilarious expressions throughout the whole exchange. She also asks why Lila has a list of the Ladybug heroine's failures already compiled on her phone.
    • After Lila destroys the idea Scarlet Lady is a hero, Clara wonders if she's just that good at being a debater or a passionate hater... showing she also rhymes in her mind.
    • The crowd also echoes Lila's sentiment that Scarlet Lady is barely a hero at all, with someone from the crowd yelling, "Scarlet Lady sucks!" The panel even labels it "Some Rando."
  • Even after Chloé shows up wearing a Scarlet Lady costume without anybody suspecting she's the real deal, Marinette remains worried about being exposed as Marigold. For the second time in the same episode, Pollen can't offer any real advice to her queen without outing the other heroes' identities. So the Kwami's response?
Pollen: [Aside Glance] Hm, you think so? You'd be surprised.
  • Clara Nightingale sees the costumed Adrien and Marinette interacting like Chat Noir and Marigold and thinks the two are just getting into character. She even praises them as being perfect for the roles, not realizing just how right she is.
  • Of all stuff Mayor Bourgeois could have made up to prevent Clara from shooting her video, he went and chose "permit A38 as stipulated by circular B65." The author is quick to point out, in a follow-up post, that this reference is straight from dialog on the show. "So if anything, the show made the reference."
  • When the temp heroines meet and try to hash out a plan to help Chat Noir and Marigold, Koki Marina asks the others if they know about Kitty Section. Purple Tigress, Pigella, and Ultimutt quickly and cheerfully mention how much they love certain members of the group (read: Luka and their respective significant others).
  • Naturally, Scarlet Lady is just happy that the "sidekicks" are keeping the akuma away from her. Sabrina and Lila filming her in the background with the most annoyed facial expressions sell it.
  • Using Clara's weakness for music against her, the female team of new Miraculous heroes stage a girl band to trick Frightningale. She gets close to listen, against the advice of Hawkmoth.
Purple Tigress: [singing] I am a cat
    Just hanging out
    But in the night
    I use my
    CLOUT! [clobbers Frightningale]
  • Master Fu gives Chat Noir and Marigold a fright when he just casually appears out of nowhere to give them the Mouse and Rooster Miraculous. Accepting them, the two alreadly have their wielders in mind... which presents an obstacle.
Chat Noir: Think we can separate them without them realizing we just gave their bestie magic jewelry?
Marigold: When two new heroes show up at the same time? Not a chance.
  • When Chat Noir presents to the Rooster Miraculous to Lila, mentioning it grants the power of Pretension, Lila has a rather interesting reaction:
Lila: Did you just call me pretentious?
Caption: I-it has two meanings, Lila, I swear!
  • Before Lila accepts the Rooster, she has just one question:
Lila: I don't have to take orders from Scarlet Lady, do I?
Chat Noir: Literally no one does.
  • Fenice uses Sublimation to give herself the ability to always rhyme. Frightningale gets so annoyed at the fact that Fenice keeps on rhyming without getting tired that she runs off.
Frightningale: So annoying, give me a break! You're not who I'm after for goodness sake!
  • Meanwhile, Scarlet Lady is annoyed at being stuck with Koki Marina in the latter's Shell-ter while Koki tries to calm herself down with breathing exercises so she doesn't yell at Scar.
  • After Lila returns the Miraculous, she asks if she could replace Scarlet Lady, but Orikko shoots that down.
Lila: With the Rooster able to have any power, don't you not need Scarlet Lady anymore?
Orikko: Sorry, but I can't grant the same power of another Kwami. Tikki would beat my as--
    • Then Lila tries to come up with a way to do that, wording it in different ways as Orikko keeps shutting her attempts down.
Narration: I understand the struggle, Lila.
#We all wish we could replace Scarlet Lady Lila.
    • A bemused Chat Noir eventually reminds the two that he needs to take Orikko back.
  • In The Stinger, Audrey Bourgeois fires several of her employees for not fetching her sunglasses, even as one of them tries to tell Audrey that she's wearing them... on her face.
  • Zoé tells her mother that she fired her bag packer. However, Word of God later revealed this to be a lie Zoé told to please Audrey; she doesn't even have a bag packer, meaning Audrey somehow forgot she never hired one.

    Intermission 3
  • Chat Noir had the idea of team building exercises, starting with having everyone patrolling in pairs. He's also wondering how it is that Marigold already has a list of pairs for the first outing.
  • Marigold fills Lila in but gets distracted:
Lila: Okay, but could you stop cleaning up my room?
Marigold: Only if you stop living like this.
  • Nino wonders if Koki Marina is following him and Alya online. Additionally, Foxtrot and Koki Marina declare that the other is the coolest person ever, aside from, of course, their respective significant others.
  • King Monkey and Pegasus talk about their Kwamis; Pegasus gives his condolences when King Monkey compares Xuppu to "an annoying little brother." However...
King Monkey: What do you mean? He's the worst and I love him.
  • Minotaurox and Ultimutt questioning how theirs and the other hero's tools can be used as phones and wonders if they can also play music.
  • Since Fenice and Comousiner know each other's identities, when they meet on patrol, they greet each other in an overly polite way, as if they'd never met before "Frightningale"... before bursting into laughter.
  • Fenice's faces as she bemoans that she hasn't figured out how to replace Scarlet Lady with the Rooster's powers or even the limitations of her power, lamenting, "Ahhhh, my life is harder than everyoneee's!"
  • Caprikid ended up being alone in the exercise. He barely has the time to say that he was fine being alone before Bunnix shows up with spray paint to keep him company.
    • The author later specified this is actually canon Bunnix, visiting this timeline because she was bored. She leaves Char Noir with so many questions because the Guardian never gives out the Rabbit Miraculous. All she says is that if they never met her before, then they're doing everything right.
    • Chat Noir's demand as Bunnix is leaving:
Chat Noir: Hey! Come back and tell us who Hawkmoth is!

Malediktator: Tales of André the Mayor
  • Zoé meets Chloé, and it isn't going well until Zoé asks a question.
    Zoé: Who's Marigold?
Chloé: There's hope for you yet! We might just get along.
    André: Phew.
  • As Chloé details everything she knows about having minions, Zoé bemusedly compares her to their mother. Chloé takes it as a compliment.
  • As the principal introduces Zoé to her classmates, he tells them, "Please obey, I mean, give her a warm welcome."
  • Upon trying to ask Adrien what Zoé is like, Adrien reveals that this is the first time he's heard about her as well, causing his friends to wonder how he somehow didn't know his childhood friend had a sister.
  • Chloé shows the class a video of her and Scarlet Lady speaking (only ever showing one of them at a time of course) and praising each other, and Alya calls her out for expecting them to buy that bull. Chloé replies it's the real Scarlet Lady... and it turns out Alya believes that. What she meant was that Chloé and Scar are liars for claiming Scar cleans up after Chat Noir and Marigold's messes. Meanwhile, Zoé squints in confusion as she watches the video and tries to figure out what the hell is happening.
  • Chloé demands to know why no one is showing Scarlet Lady any respect. Marinette replies that Lila explained it at Clara Nightingale's audition. Lila offers to explain it again.
  • Chloé turns to Zoé for Compliment Fishing. Zoé asks who Scarlet Lady is, which causes Chloé to make a horrified face.
Caption: Easy come, easy go when it comes to Chloe's affection, Zoe.
  • Chloé's self-absorption is such that she sees nothing wrong with interrupting a wedding her father is officiating and pushing the bride, groom, and guests out of her father's office.
  • André asks why Chloé wants Zoé to be banished from Paris. After learning why, even he's surprised by his daughter's level of pettiness.
Chloé: She came all the way to Paris and didn't even know who Scarlet Lady was! The lack of patriotism!
    André: ...That's it?
  • Chloé decides to leave for New York with Audrey because her father being the mayor is (to her) useless, and Audrey at least won't disrespect her. André asks his wife if it's true, only for Audrey to yell, "Ugh, obviously!"... right before it's revealed she's been on the phone the entire time and was actually yelling at an intern on the other end of a call. In fact, she doesn't seem to have even realized her husband asking her a question, nor does she appear to notice Chloé dragging her into a helicopter.
    • When the two leave in helicopter, André is distraught... while Hawkmoth expresses surprise that the mayor didn't crack much earlier.
    • The hotel staff can be seen waving goodbye at the chopper.
    • Tikki obviously questions Chloé on why she's going to New York when there's Hawkmoth to fight, and Chloé answers she'll return... once Paris begs for Scarlet Lady to come back.
  • Like in canon, practically everyone rejoices when Chloé announces she's leaving Paris. The celebratory mood ends when Zoé asks what they're celebrating, reminding them that "she's still here." The page's caption even reads, "Every party needs a pooper that's why they invited you~."
    • Chloé's so deluded that she actually thinks the school will be sad to see her go (or at least more envious that she gets to New York than relieved they won't have to endure her presence).
    • Principal Damocles can be seen hugging a teacher while Sabrina and Lila hug each other.
  • When the helicopter lands, Audrey barks, "Claudette! This isn't my office!" It goes to show that Audrey is in her own world and that Chloé had zero chance of getting her to leave Paris before the fashion show, even if Malediktator didn't intervene.
  • When Chloé sees her parents kissing, she reacts with an EW!.
  • Chloé's main worry after sneaking away to transform? That she's going to have to do it in a rank subway.
  • A bonus panel shows Scarlet Lady upset at her father for having a tantrum when she has to figure out what to wear to the fashion show.
  • Zoé gets her first taste of an average day in Paris. First, her stepfather, turned into an akuma, orders everyone to tear the school down, which they gleefully begin doing, and before she can ask Marinette or Adrien what the hell is going on, she notices that the two of them have already vanished.
  • Malediktator makes Chat Noir behave like a cat, believing it'd become easy to take the latter's Miraculous. Instead, Chat Noir viciously hisses at Malediktator when the akuma gets close. A bonus panel later shows Audrey wanting Chat Noir as a pet, which Malediktator actually acquiesces to, at least for a short while.
Audrey: [playing with Chat Noir] Please, Malediktatorkins, can't we keep him just a little longer?
Malediktator: [sighing] Well, if it makes you happy.
  • After Marigold saves her, Zoé kindly thanks her. Marigold, who saw Zoé acting like and defending her Alpha Bitch sister earlier, is confused at the complete change in attitude and assumes that she's only being respectful to suck up to a superhero.
  • When Scarlet Lady tries to blame Zoé for causing Malediktator, saying it's because Zoé didn't defend the heroine in class earlier, Zoé hits her Rage Breaking Point. The Ladybug heroine is caught quite off guard when Zoé mentions how ubiquitous superheroes are in New York and left at a loss for words when Zoé asks how the incident in the classroom has anything to do with André.
  • Scarlet Lady, unlike Marigold, eagerly accepts Zoé's offer to help because she can't reveal that the supposed safe place "she took Chloé to" isn't actually real.
  • Just like in canon, the Lucky Charm takes the form of a freaking rocket launcher. Zoé nervously asks that the heroes not kill her stepdad, to which Marigold assures her that they don't use such violent methods. Scarlet Lady then has a flashback to all the times they defeated akumas by just throwing the Lucky Charm at their heads or using other violent methods (such as when Multimouse bit the Puppeteer). note
  • It disgusts both Scarlet Lady and Zoé to see how Out of Character their mother behaves under Malediktator's power.
Audrey: Aww, honeypie, we'll be so happy together! Come to mommy, Zoé!
    Scarlet Lady: Disgusting.
Zoé: Please turn Mom back to normal. She's creeping me out.
    Malediktator: Never!
  • While under the influence of Malediktator's powers, Chat Noir has a cat smile when he notices the laser pointer and pounces at one of the guards.
  • After his deakumatization, Mayor Bourgeois is impressed that Zoé has already learned how to control her half-sister. Meanwhile, Audrey is only concerned about losing a whole day on her schedule.

Style Queen: Tales of Audrey the Fashion Critic
  • Gabriel's show is beginning, with people walking down the red carpet... and Marinette begins to have one of her catastrophe spirals while Pollen sweatdrops:
Marinette: This is the ugliest hat in the world and I'm forcing Adrien to wear it and he'll resent me for the rest of his life, I have zero talent and everyone is about to find out—
  • Pollen cheers Marinette up, and Marinette asks her Kwami when she became so wise.
Pollen: Through your guidance, I've learned when to be proactive and when to hold back, My Queen! I haven't even let slip that I know Chat Noir or Scarlet Lady's identities
    Marinette: What?
Pollen: Oh no. Tikki's going to end me.
  • The fashion spread offers gems such as Prince Ali with Rose and Juleka on his arms, Lila acting like a supermodel while Ivan and Mylène look at her worriedly, Aurore posing next to Kagami, and Ondine blushing as Clara Nightingale asks her if Gabriel made her dress (it was actually Marinette).
  • As Audrey and Chloé make their way on the red carpet, they keep firing people—even those they have no business in firing.
    • One of Audrey's demands was a marble red carpet.
    • Roger makes a WTF face as Audrey and Chloé "fire" him (since it's already been established that even Mayor Bourgeois doesn't have the authority to do that). Moreover, it seems to be because Audrey somehow blames him for the red carpet not being marble.
  • As Marinette freaks out over her hat being judged by Audrey, the caption snarks, "She can't have THAT much sway, just look at her shoes."
  • Chloé brings a present for Audrey... who rejects it because the wrapping is "ridiculous, utterly ridiculous." Zoé then tricks her mother into accepting the gift and sticks her tongue out while looking away.
Zoé: I'll take it then, Chloé. Since mom doesn't like "new" things.
    Chloé: Huh?
Audrey: What'd you say?! I am the discoverer of new things! Give me that!
    Chloé: Yay!
Zoé: [thinking] Sucker! You're welcome, Chloé.
  • Marinette's surprise at how different Nathalie looks with her hair down. The caption notes that the same can be said of Marinette.
  • Chloé insults the hat Marinette brought to the fashion show and laughs at how she signed it. The same hat Chloé copied off Marinette for the contest and the same signature that proved the theft had taken place.
  • Adrien is in his dressing room, nervously feeling like a dork. Plagg is less than helpful by pointing out how he looks like one, too. Marinette then arrives to deliver the hat she made and rambles over how it's no good, even apologizing for forcing him to wear it. Adrien doesn't care, though, as seeing his girlfriend all dolled up instantly puts him at ease.
  • Adrien models Marinette's hat, complimenting her on her skills and reassuring her that it looks great. He also points out that Gabriel, who has impossible standards, picked it himself. The two start slipping into full-tilt flirt mode when Nathalie needs to point out something:
Nathalie: Ahem. I am, in fact, still here children.
    Adrien/Marinette: [Embarrassed] Ah! Um...
  • When Alya politely points out that Audrey took the seat reserved for Marinette, Chloé takes it upon herself to shoo the others out of their seats, failing completely. Meanwhile, Zoé is completely embarrassed and Face Palming at her sister's idiocy.
Caption: [regarding Audrey and Chloé] How do either of you go out in public when you act like this....
  • Audrey sighs in exasperated relief when Nathalie arrives to inform the critic that Gabriel reserved a seat for her... only to be told it's in the second row.
    • When Audrey tries to do her usual "firing" thing, though Nathalie just states matter-of-factly that Audrey can't fire her on account of Nathalie not working for her.
    • Audrey then calls Gabriel to get him to fire Nathalie. When Gabriel doesn't pick up the phone, Nathalie's Deadpan Snarker reaction is amazing.
      Nathalie: So, am I fired?
      Audrey: ARGHHHH!
  • When Audrey becomes akumatized:
Audrey: They'll see who's Queen, Hawkmoth.
    Chloé: Mommy, no!
André: [sighing] Disappointing, but not surprising.
  • When Adrien is turned into a statue, Hawkmoth is more concerned that Nathalie will hit him for it later. The caption adds that when that happens, he'll deserve it.
  • Chloé dramatically lamenting Adrien being transformed into a statue before quickly noting she might actually like him better that way is arguably Crossing the Line Twice.
  • Zoé declares that she's going to be sick with how fast Style Queen is taking her, Adrien, and Chloé.
  • When Marigold arrives after Style Queen has left, Plagg shows up, much to her surprise. When she nervously asks why the Kwami isn't with Chat Noir, the Kwami smugly responds that she knows exactly why her partner isn't gonna be available today that only leaves Marigold to sweatdrop as she concedes she does.
Narrator: So we've just totally dropped pretense, right?
  • After Marigold uses Bee Balm, Chloé looks like she just woke up from oversleeping, with a line of drool coming from her mouth. Meanwhile, Marigold carries away Adrien, who dreamily tells her how good she looks with her hair down... before asking where he is.
  • Style Queen proclaims that she is invincible... and is promptly stung by Marigold's Venom.
    • It gets funnier when you realize this pay homage to Boris Grishenko of GoldenEye: "I am invincible!" is both his Character Catchphrase and the last thing he says in the film before he's splashed with liquid nitrogen and flash-frozen to death.
    • When Chloé finally manages to transform into Scarlet Lady and meets Marigold and the paralyzed Style Queen, she wastes several minutes trying to come up with the best way to present herself to her mother, much to Marigold's annoyance.
Marigold: You really have no respect for other people's time, DO YOU, SCARLET? Fix this already!
  • Scarlet Lady tries to offer Audrey a lift, but it doesn't go as she planned:
Scarlet Lady: Mo—Uh, Mme. Bourgeois! I can get you back to the fashion show in no time at all!
Audrey Bourgeois: I only fly first class, you weird little bug.
Scarlet Lady: [cries while a little broken heart flies]
  • As Audrey and Chloé begin strutting their way down the stairs (which takes about twenty minutes in Real Life), Alya decides to just take the elevator. Even funnier is that the author revealed she made the mother and daughter duo still take the stairs in this AU despite the elevator working just fine (it was broken in the show, leaving no option but the stairs) to punish them for their antics at the fashion show.
  • When Adrien and Marigold finally confirm each other's Secret Identity and have their first Big Damn Kiss (and then some), Plagg chooses to complain.

Queen Wasp: Tales of Chloé the Ex-Hero
  • Immediately following the previous episode, Marinette reveals that Pollen knows who Scarlet Lady is. Plagg asks if that means the Kwamis are finally telling their owners about the Ladybug heroine's Secret Identity, to Adrien's shock. The way Plagg says it implies he would've said something sooner but was going along with what Tikki (mainly) and Pollen were doing.
    • Marinette points out that Adrien could've used his powers when he was Aspik to figure out Scarlet Lady's identity. Adrien, who spent the entire time along with how many Second Chances just to screw with Scarlet Lady, experiences a Color Failure and has a brief Heroic BSoD when he realizes that he could've done exactly that and gotten rid of the annoying Nominal Heroine a long time ago.
Caption: This could've been over sooner but SOMEONE was wrapped up in his REVENGE fantasies smh.
    • Pollen gently prods Adrien's cheek to see if he's alright after he freezes up.
    • The tags are at least sympathetic to Adrien's decision:
Tags: #it's okay Adrien, I too would've gone the Fucking with Scarlet Route instead of the Smart route
  • With the fashion back in swing, Alya is recording for her blog when she notices none other than Gabriel Agreste showing up in public. Since she has never seen him make a physical appearence outside of his home until now, Alya's reaction is both justified and hilarious:
    Marinette: Is that really...?
    Alya: A GHOST!
    Marinette: Alya, no.
  • Gabriel starts hugging Adrien, which leaves everyone shocked by the public display of affection. Adrien in particular is touched and assumes that his father must have been scared when Style Queen turned him into glitter. However, the comic then shows Gabriel sobbing over how an akuma he'd spent months working on got defeated so quickly.
  • When Gabriel tells Audrey he fired the person responsible for the seating arrangements, Audrey (she who fires anyone she can or can't at the drop of a hat) tells him not to overdo it.
  • Audrey sincere praising Marinette's hat can be this, given it's the first time the critic has actually smiled since she appeared in the comic. It's made even better by how it initially looks like the critic is about to verbally rip it apart, like Marinette feared.
  • Zoé's face when she realizes Chloé is about to explode from Audrey's praise of Marinette, not to mention the fact that her sister's less than a foot away from her. The narration puts it best:
Caption: Quick, get out of the blast radius!
  • When Audrey offers to make Marinette a bigger name than Gabriel Agreste, the man himself gives out an indignant "Hey." Adrien then tries to be supportive of the idea of Marinette leaving Paris to work for Audrey in New York and offers to model for Marinette, but the latter points out he's bleeding from the mouth (a Running Gag for whenever someone tries to tell too big of a Blatant Lie).
  • When Chloé argues she's as exceptional as Marinette, Audrey shoots down the idea and roasts her daughter by listing a few of her many failures (which were all caused by her attempts to beat or show up Marinette, mind you): getting banned from contests associated with the Gabriel brand, losing the race for class president, and getting kicked off the judging panel of World's Greatest Chef. Chloé blushes because it means her mother has been paying attention to what she does.
Audrey: I'm roasting you, pay attention.
  • At long last Chloé's Secret Identity as Scarlet Lady is revealed and in the only way it could've: Chloé has one of her typical temper tantrums and outs herself to everyone, which is broadcasted to all of Paris!
    • Everyone's reaction after the Internal Reveal.
    • All that work the heroes were already planning to find out Scarlet Lady's identity? All rendered null because Chloé was so dumb she actually did the work for them.
    • Though Chloé outed herself to impress her mother and prove that she's more exceptional than Marinette, Audrey isn't impressed by the reveal at all and still shows more interest in Marinette's talents as a designer. Plus, everyone now knows the Ladybug heroine's civilian identity, meaning Chloé's actions were All for Nothing.
  • The bonus panels show the aftermath from the heroes' point of view:
    • Adrien and Gabriel are silently sitting in the backseat sweating bullets as they try very hard, for totally different reasons, not to show their reaction to the news of who Scarlet Lady is.
    • Tom and Sabine meanwhile are discussing Audrey's offer, with Tom is already making plans to move their whole family to New York and open a bakery, excited by all the potential opportunities. Sabine, on the other hand, points out all of the logistics (moving to a foreign country, learning a new language, Marinette entering the workforce before even finishing school, etc.). Marinette is visibly torn over which of her parents she agrees with more, and the caption even dubs them, "the two halves of Marinette's brain."
  • Scarlet Lady keeps boasting about her not-so-Secret Identity, but now everyone's deliberately ignoring her.
Freddy: [looking away from Scarlet] Don't look at her.
    • Eventually, Scarlet tries to get Alya to interview her, but Alya (who months before would have jumped at the chance) tells the Ladybug heroine she doesn't want it with the most deadpan face ever. Laser-Guided Karma at its finest.
    • Upon learning about Alya's exposé, Scarlet Lady tries to dismiss it as defamation. Either the heroine doesn't know that defamation only applies to false statements or is so deluded that she doesn't realize everything in Alya's article really did happen.
  • Chloé has sparkles around her head and makes a kissy face when she laments to Zoé how "cruel" the city is for ignoring her and preferring Marigold instead.
  • Gabriel exclaims he has the unique opportunity of akumatizing someone with a Miraculous. Nooroo internally notes the stupidity of doing so when that "someone" is Chloé Bourgeois.
    • This is also the third time Gabriel has been out of breath due to making a mad dash to his lair so he can akumatize someone.
    • Nooroo is ultimately proven right when Chloé unwittingly gets rid of the earrings right as the akuma butterfly approaches, accidentally foiling Gabriel's plan.
  • Marigold hanging a lampshade on the fact that Chloé, who was a completely useless hero, is making for a surprisingly challenging akuma.
Caption: She’s so much more dangerous when people actually listen to her.
  • Zoé's method for avoiding detection? Wear a trash can over her head. Surprisingly, it works, with neither the mind-controlled Audrey and Butler Jean nor Queen Wasp's Wasp swarms noticing her, all despite her Paper-Thin Disguise leaving her legs completely exposed.
  • Even as Queen Wasp, Chloé still refuses to go anywhere she deems gross, something the heroes take advantage of by jumping the river, much to Queen Wasp's dismay.
Queen Wasp: What's their obsession with smelly places!?
  • When Marigold sees Zoé confronting Queen Wasp as a civilian, the hero exclaims, "She's out of her mind!" Chat Noir and Marigold then both panic when Zoé gets stung, thinking that it's all over now that Queen Wasp and Hawkmoth have the Ladybug Miraculous... only for Alya to awkwardly tell the heroic duo that Zoé left the earring with her before she went to confront her sister. The revelation causes the two heroes to have Black Bead Eyes in shock.
Caption: So you can stop shaking now, Marigold, Chat Noir.
  • When Ladygold (Marinette Unifying Tikki and Pollen) gets a snorkel from Lucky Charm, she apologetically tells Chat Noir they're going to get a little dirty.
  • Since the heroes don't actually know what the akuma object is on Queen Wasp, their plan with the Lucky Charm is to dunk her in the river, force the snorkel onto her, paralyze her with Venom, and then just start ripping off random parts of her outfit, hoping that they'll eventually come across the akumatized object.
  • After getting returned to normal, Chloé demands the earrings back, only to be hit with a Blunt "No" from both heroes.
  • When Marigold and Chat Noir ask Tikki why she never tried to give them a sign that Chloé was Scarlet Lady, Tikki asks if the guardian ever explained the rule about identity sharing to them. Marigold and Chat Noir (who not only were told, but proceeded to break it anyways) can only glance at each other nervously.
  • Upon revealing she's planning on trading her Miraculous, Marigold playfully teases Chat by telling him it's his last chance to make out with Marigold, only for Chat to point out that he already has did during the Dark Cupid incident. Marigold protests that doesn't count since she doesn't remember. Then, when they do start making out...
Tikki: Wait! You two know [each other's identities], don't you!?
    Chat Noir: Later, Tikki.

Catalyst: Tales of Nathalie the Assistant
  • Plagg makes a Kwagatama for Adrien... and decides the best way to give it to him is to puke it on him. Adrien is, naturally, not happy with Plagg's delivery. Meanwhile, Pollen gives her Kwagatama to Marinette, and Tikki explains what it is. Marinette thanks Pollen for the gift before pausing and looking at the similar gift she got on her birthday as Tikki gets an Oh, Crap! expression.
  • Audrey Bourgeois complains about how dramatic her daughters are.
  • Alix jokingly tells Adrien and Marinette to Get a Room!. Marinette answers by sticking her tongue at her.
  • Marinette notes that their classmates have seemingly already moved on from Chloé outing herself as Scarlet Lady. Adrien, on the other hand, notes that they weren't particularly shocked to begin with.
Juleka: [responding to the reveal] Sucks.
    Alya: Makes sense.
Nino: Checks out if you think about it.
  • After seeing Nino and Alya dressed in Koki Marina and Fox Trot clothes, Adrien punctures their bubble.
Adrien: Well, let's go, Koki and Foxy. We still have one more day of school to get through.
    Nino: AAHHHHHHH!
Caption: So mean to make us come to school TODAY OF ALL DAYS.
  • Mme. Bustier suggests throwing Chloé a party and inviting her "friends" to thank her for her work as Scarlet Lady. Zoé doesn't think it's a good idea.
Zoé: Uh, what friends? And what work?
Mme. Bustier: The class, silly! The two of them will convince them to come! For Chloé!
Zoé: Yeah, I'm not doing that.
    Mme. Bustier: Eh?
    • The fact that Mme. Bustier still insists that Chloé's victims are the latter's "friends" after everything that's happened doubles as both funny and sad.
    • Even Bustier has trouble maintaining her smile when Zoé admits to having personally experienced being bullied and that Chloé outright bragged about tormenting the class.
    • Unbeknownst to the two, the rest of the class spying on them from the outside with tears streaming down their face.
  • Chloé isn't having a fun time as she sees Chat Noir and Marigold are celebrated as Paris' heroes while no one ever mentions her. Not even turning off the TV works, as there's a giant Marigold parade balloon floating just outside her window.
  • As Mme. Bustier explains Heroes' Day, M. Damocles barges in wearing his "The Owl" costume, showing a photo of himself clearly photoshopped next to the heroes and giving a speech... which the students aren't paying attention to because they are too stunned by his entrance to even listen.
  • Lila's good deed is teaching sign language at the local youth center with her stepmother and cutting her hair and donating it to charity. She then admits the latter is only because she lost a bet on Scarlet Lady's downfall.
Caption: She's winning while she's losing, never bet with Lila.
  • Marinette is initially happy to hear about the various good deeds her classmates are doing for Heroes' Day, but it quickly turns to panic as she wonders if she's done enough herself.
  • Lila throws a wrench in Hawkmoth's plans for Heroes' Day by being in such a good mood, she cannot be akumatized during Heroes' Day. She's too busy rejoicing over Scarlet Lady no longer having a Miraculous and celebrating at a restaurant with all three of her moms (her biological mother miss Rossi, her French godmother miss Bianca, and her French-Italian stepmother), and her biological dad, a diplomat.
  • After causing chaos with her illusion of a seemingly akumatized Chat Noir murdering Marigold, Jackal engages in some Not So Innocent Whistling while listening to the horrified cries of the witnesses.
  • After Hawkmoth takes Jackal's akuma back, he arrives at the Eiffel Tower with a Three-Point Landing while Nathalie does an Aside Glance.
    Nathalie: You are so dramatic.
Hawkmoth: It's called "having fun." Now take this new akuma.
Tagline: Nat, are you really that surprised he's a Drama Queen?
  • When Hawkmoth reveals his new upgrade and name... Marinette shouts that "Scarlet Moth" sounds "so lame!"
  • In the middle of the chaos caused by the mass Akumatization, Rose gets transformed into Princess Fragrance while holding hands with Juleka.
    Princess Fragrance: AHAHAHA!
Box with arrow pointing at Princess Fragrance: Smol
Other box with arrow pointing at Princess Fragrance: Cute
Juleka: (As demonstrated by the butterflies flying away from her) Somehow I'm not feeling threatened.
  • In a cutaway gag, Scarlet Moth whines to Catalyst about how Sabrina and Lila have avoided being caught up in the mass Akumatization, sounding like a pedulant brat:
Scarlet Moth: Can't believe I don't get my Vanisher or Volpina. (grumbles) What a total rip-off.
Catalyst: Just be grateful you still got Dark Cupid or you'd really be in trouble.
  • Alya calls Nora to warn her about the mass akumatization event.
Alya: Nora! Whatever you do, don't let fear get ahold of you, okay?
    Nora: "Fear?" (smacks butterfly)
    Ella and Etta: Yay!
Nora: Who's afraid of a bunch of bugs?
    Alya: Uh, most of Paris?
  • Even the fact that they are about to face their largest enemy yet isn't enough to keep Adrien and Marinette from joking with each other as they get themselves to a bathroom to transform.
Adrien: What a romantic setting for our "first", Honeybee.
Marinette: Oh, sorry, I didn't take you to the Bahamas of Spots to transform.
  • After Adrien transforms into Chat Noir, Marinette compliments it:
    Marinette: That's some choreography.
    Adrien: You love it.
  • Chat Noir realizes that all his old nicknames for Marinette don't work, since she's no longer Marigold - so he suggests "Buginette" - which Marinette rejects immediately because it's too close to her name.
  • Gigantitan winds up as one of the Akumatized people. Zoé distracts him by running nearby with her bike.
Zoé: Over here, big boy! Follow the Vespa!
    Gigantitan: Vroom, vroom!
    • After Ladybug!Marinette frees August, Zoé thanks her, and Marinette says she can repay right now - by letting her drive the Vespa!
  • Upon being presented with the Bee Comb, Zoé promptly bursts into tears, insisting she's not qualified to become a hero. Ladybug Sweat Drops while thinking to herself "Uh-oh, we got a runner."
  • Scarlet Moth comes to offer Chloé to work together.
Scarlet Moth: Wouldn't you like another chance at revenge against your former sidekicks? You only need to accept my offering—
    Chloé: GIMME!
Scarlet Moth: (thinking with Sweat Drop) Well, that was easy.
    Caption: Eager, isn't she.
  • Chat Noir finding Nino and Alya has quite a few of these.
    • When Chat arrives to give Nino and Alya their Miraculous, he thanks them for making it easy on him by sticking together.
    • What were Alya and Nino doing when he arrived? Having a No, You debate over who gets to take the other to the movies.
    • When Chat reveals to both of them who the other's hero identity is, Nino is utterly blown away while Alya admits that not only is she not that shocked, saying it make sense, but also that it makes her crush on Foxtrot way less concerning.

Hawkmoth: Tales of Gabriel the Butterfly
  • Mayor Bourgeois is delivering a speech telling the people they'll resist together and that he'll be supervising Paris' defense... from his helicopter.
  • When Koki Marina takes the arrow for Fox Trot, Ladybug angrily yells at her to use her damn shield!
  • Ladybug tells Fox Trot to kiss Koki Marina to break Dark Cupid's spell.
Koki Marina: Don't you %$€*ing dare!
Fox Trot: I am so uncomfortable.
  • When Scarlet Moth tells Queen Wasp to let the other Akumas have their fun, calling her his "special weapon", Catalyst notes Gabriel's sheer hypocrisy:
Catalyst: If only you indulged your own son this much.
  • As always, the Akumas get stopped by the most dreaded thing of all-a barrier of various debris that Ladybug and Chat simply jump over.
    Riposte: Psst, why'd we stop?
  • Nathaniel and Marc talk about how they could do more than distract the Akumas, with Marc reminding Nathaniel that a kiss of true love worked on Marigold and Nathaniel replying he's only going to kiss them... And Juleka and Prince Ali, who have overheard them, exchange a serious nod. And the following page, they do - and Deakumatize Rose.
  • When Timebreaker gets caught by Lila and Sabrina, who apologize for not supporting her as much as she did them, she says they're gross before her butterfly flies away and she awkwardly asks if they can untie her now.
  • Luka getting the rest of Kitty Section to glomp Riposte in order to turn Kagami back to normal.
  • Scarlet Moth is furious at how many people are getting Deakumatized, so he sends in Dark Cupid, but...
    Ondine: Kim! Kim!
    Dark Cupid: Ondine?
Scarlet Moth: No, no, stop it! DAMN YOU!
  • When the Gamer and Glaciator team up, the one that faces them is... Claudie Kanté, Max's mom.
Claudie Kanté: Max Kanté, you get out of that mech suit and stop terrorizing Paris right now!
    The Gamer: Aw, maman!
