Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

@Oliver: No matter his…unconventional alignment, the Tactician will always ensure he'll survive any battle the two are both present in. As for EXP gains, however, that's still up to his/her whims.

I'll be posting this prototype of a rework, namely to find potential interactions regarding these nameless warriors. I have the ideas on how the flavor text can work but I'm being mindful of the size and scale this group profile will be, as well as potential wording. So here is the compilation profile of the Souls player characters.

The Slayer of Demons, Chosen Undead, Bearer of the Curse and Ashen One, Progenitors of the Souls-like RPG (Chosen Undead: Undead Warrior | Bearer of the Curse: Young Hollow | Ashen One: Champion of Ash, Unkindled One, Lord of Hollows)

  • Of the day of kingdoms past, there exist several fantasy realms, each planted with the seeds of man and their successful reigns as their dominions grew with magnificence. However, these would not last, be it some unholy plague or eventual degradation, the reign of such kingdoms would fall and with it, the lands surrounding them. The population became mindless and the lands would be rife with abominations such as demons, ghouls, undead or worse. These stories however, all had one unifying trait: an unknown traveler would discover these lands, in search of something hidden, fight against the horrors of the lands, and prevail against such odds, eventually deciding for the fate of their journey at the very end. One has to ask, how would anyone handle such a tenuous journey without going mad? That is dependent on these souls, as wherever they go, whatever they find, whatever secret they uncover, death will follow them.
    • "On the first day, man was granted a soul, and with it, clarity. On the second day, upon Earth was planted an irrevocable poison; a soul-devouring Demon." - A king from Boletaria brought unprecedented prosperity to the lands and his people but it would all come to an end when the Deep Fog was unleashed and the kingdom would soon become a host of countless Demons, killing all within. Such Fog was seen as impenetrable with numerous warriors from various lands entering the kingdom, yet none have returned, their fates unknown and all form of hope to save humanity would be extinguished as they face a slow but steady extinction. But Boletaria has one final hope: a lone warrior who has braved the baneful Fog and entered the kingdom. Will this warrior be humanity's saviour, or a slave to the Demons?
    • "Thou who art Undead, art chosen… In thine exodus from the Undead Asylum, maketh pilgrimage to the land of Ancient Lords… When thou ringeth the Bell of Awakening, the fate of the Undead thou shalt know." - These words would mark the prophecy as the ringing of a Bell of Awakening sealed it, an undead champion would rise and take on a pilgrimage, an adventure to decide the fate of the world. This time, on the kingdom of Lordran and with it, an aging Age of Fire. This Chosen Undead, aptly called, has fought against fellow undead, various fantastical creatures both pure and corrupted, demons, dragons and eventually gods. Inevitably, said Chosen Undead would face his final choice, link the fire thus sacrificing his life to prolong the Age of Fire, or snuff the flame and bring an Age of Dark where humanity would become the new rulers. It would soon become clear what the cost is for the Flame to be prolonged for a long while.
    • "Perhaps you've seen it, maybe in a dream. A murky, forgotten land… A place where souls may mend your ailing mind. You will lose everything, once branded. The symbol of the curse, an auger of darkness. Your past, your future, your very light. None will have meaning, and you won't even care. By then, you will be something other than human. A thing that feeds on souls; A hollow." - Such is the fate of a Bearer of the Curse, a lone wanderer who has become a victim of the Undead Curse. Drawn to the forgotten lands of Drangleic, this Undead sought a cure to the curse, but was drawn, perhaps by an urge, to a new land. From here, said Undead faced the creatures of the land and with it, uncovered the secrets surrounding this once proud reign. Upon the discovery of a Throne of Want, the Bearer was faced with the option to continue the Flame or abandon it as what the Chosen Undead dealt with, but there is a third option, one that would reveal a truth that has been hidden by the sands of time.
    • "The Fire fades, and the lords go without thrones." - The old words discovered by the pilgrims who ventured into the North would soon realize this cryptic message, as the Age of Fire is threatened once again. The Lords of Cinder, who were prophesied to protect the First Flame and go to their thrones, would abandon their roles, resulting to the rise of an Unkindled. This Ashen One, one who is considered unfit to even be a Lord of Cinder, would take on the role to face the Lords of Cinder themselves and drag them back to their thrones. Their journey though would be considered the last as the secrets unearthed would become a key to not only the fate of the lands of Lothric, but would show the cost of prolonging the Age of Fire not since the first Chosen Undead and possibly by the Bearer on Drangleic. By the end, they are given a choice: prolong the Age of Fire one last time, finally snuff the flame out for good, or achieve what the Bearer of the Curse has done on a larger scale. Whatever the result was, the journey ended and only embers remained.
  • The Pantheon is no stranger when it comes to souls, after all, several houses and deities who have the expertise and knowledge of such phenomena are more than willing to spread their teachings to those interested. Those of the higher levels have foretold that a master of souls, a group that had the ability to absorb fallen souls and transpose these fragile entities into themselves for power, would arrive soon and many would dismiss the tale. One being in particular, a Maiden in Black, sensed the presence and traced it into the gates of the Pantheon where she waited for what seemed to be forever. Despite being challenged by other soul-related deities, none of them could sense the same feeling as to what the Maiden is waiting for, until four shadows from the background were seen within the distance of the gates. The rumor has mentioned a master of souls, yet many did not expect that they would manifest in four knightly warriors clad in full armor. Upon entering the gates, the Maiden, having patiently waited for their ascension, warped the four into her domain and the remaining deities that watched were dumbfounded at the discovery, that said master of souls was not some fabled legend but unnamed regular warriors.
  • These warriors of varied origin and different settings may seem as ordinary knights (or varied classes such as mages/thieves) but underneath all that lies an interconnected theme: determination in the face of opposing odds. Surely enough, the lands they have trudged are dangerous and are known for the ever-looming threat of death, yet they will realize that they would not be granted such and would return back, although in a weakened state. This case of death being more of a nuisance for them allows for multiple journeys and often times, dying repeatedly, be it a random creature both big and small, to beings of higher souls, even the environment would be against them for all the various booby traps and hazards. Even with this, they would slowly, through trial-and-error, find shortcuts, maneuver against large swaths of hostile beings, and kill higher beings to make themselves stronger. They may not start strong, but at the end of the journeys, they would almost always be of stronger power, all due to death, souls and a wee-bit of practice.
  • It is said that the beginning of the trend of action-oriented RPGs all began by a band of warriors who fought against a looming evil with a Sword of Light, said adventure was also a Dark Fantasy setting but records of it have since disappeared and little was left to archive it by most Pantheon scholars. Another adventure, of similar setting would revolve around a Sword of Moonlight though little knowledge would be gleamed by those within the House of Gaming. It would not take long until the ascension of these four that many would slowly pick up the pieces and find out the "predecessors" of their own kind, with most seeing them, especially the Slayer of Demons and Chosen Undead, to be the successors of these types of games, a refined version of the mechanics discovered in the aforementioned adventures, with the addition that death would become a normal part of the experience. It further helps that each warrior has an explanation for their recovery after being slain.
  • Once the four have become established all done by the Maiden in Black, several reactions were founded in various corners of the Pantheon, though this did not come from deities of other worlds but from their worlds. It would seem that despite them being nameless and faceless, their actions have done a lot to the gods in their own worlds, which shows that perhaps, actions speak louder than words. Being the gods and other creatures that they have slain in their adventures, many have opposed their existence but a few have come to appreciate their presence. In some cases, a few have considered that being slain by them is more of a mercy kill, given that some have already degraded far beyond their control.

More on Kenshi. 2 paragraphs to go.

  • Kenshi Takahashi. There are conflicting reports as to the origins of the blind swordsman who fights for Earthrealm. One such report details him as descended from a lineage of Eurasian Warrior Kings. Another has him working for Special Forces, seeking revenge on the Red Dragon for the murder of his lover, while reconnecting with his son, who Kenshi had left in the relative safety of Hanzo Hasashi and the Shirai Ryu. The most recent reports are of Kenshi not being from a warrior king bloodline, but a former member of the Yakuza, descended from a clan long thought to have been destroyed centuries past, now seeking to redeem his clan. But there are several things thar can be confirmed regarding Kenshi. He has an intense hatred for Shang Tsung (as he was the cause of his blindness in the first two timelines), in all three reports, he lost his sight (the first two due to the aforementioned sorcerer, the third to Mileena driven mad by her Tarkart affliction), Kenshi acquired Sento after losing his sight, his encounter with Ermac resulted him in learning telepathy, and he has strong ties to Earthrealm, primarily with Special Forces. For some folks, the ex-Yakuza angle is more believable.
    • While his background in the first two timelines is well-known, it's his background in Liu Kang's New Era that's drawing attention on Kenshi. The Takahashi were originally known as the Taira Clan, one of ancient Japan's most honored families. However, the Taira were nearly wiped out during the Siege of Aomori. To make things worse, the ancestral sword, Sento, was lost in the battle. Their numbers few, the surviving Taira changed their surname from Taira to Takahashi, and sought protection from the Bakuto, the predecessors to the Japanese Yakuza. "From first family to crime family," as Johnny Cage put it when Kenshi came for Sento, as it had been in Johnny's posession. Johnny refused to hand over Sento (as he paid $3 million for it), but relented after Kenshi saved his life, at the cost of a berserk Mileena gouging out his eyes. With Sento now in his posession, Kenshi plans to redeem his clan, to seperate them from their past ties to the Yakuza. But even in Liu Kang's New Era, it won't be easy.
  • Kazuma Kiryu, Goro Makima, and Kimiko Yamaguchi are quite possibly the only Yakuza deities that Kenshi is on good terms with. Neither Kazuma or Yankumi did not bear any ill will towards Kenshi for leaving the Yakuza, as he had to put his clan first. Goro did criticize Kenshi for his decision, but understood Kenshi's reason behind the decision. But there are those who are not entirely convinced that Kenshi changed his ways. The fact that he was part of the Yakuza is more than enough for Frank Castle to try and put a bullet in him, and Castle has killed more than his share of Japanese mobsters over the years. But Kenshi is protected, and is actively working in protecting Earthrealm. With patience honed from his time as a Marine sniper, Frank watches Kenshi, waiting for the day he relapses. When Kenshi does fall back into his old ways, Frank will be there to punish him. On the other hand, Amanda Waller sees Kenshi as a high value recruit for the Suicide Squad. Of course, given that it's Waller we're talking about, her method of recruiting involves cranial bombs and the threat of her detonating them being her modus operandi.
    • Interestingly enough, the main factor why Frank doesn't put a bullet in Kenshi's head is because of Kenshi's friendship with Professor X and Jean Grey. In the days following his debut, Kenshi sought instruction on how to better control his telepathy, and you can't go wrong with Professor X and Jean Grey as your teachers. Tatsu Yamashiro also has a 'kill-on-sight' policy in regards to any Yakuza she comes across. Given that her family had been butchered by her Yakuza brother-in-law, one cannot fault Katana for her violent response. But, as Katana had bear witnessed, Kenshi's attempts at redeeming the Taira and being a good father to Takeda are indeed genuine. Plus, killing someone with ties to Special Forces would look bad on Katana's part, hence the wielder of Soultaker adapting a 'wait-and-see' approach with Kenshi.
  • Is Kenshi a deadbeat dad for abandoning Takeda to the Shirai Ryu? It's actually kinda complicated. Yes, Kenshi admit that he left Takeda in Hanzo's hands, but given that the Red Dragon had just murdered his lover and that both he and his son are high on Daegon's hit list, his choice of leaving Takeda with the Shirai Ryu was the best decision Kenshi could have made under the circumstances. This has garnered some measure of sympathy from those parents who were forced to abandon their children for their own safety. Speaking of his son, Kenshi was righteously enraged once Jacqui told him that The Joker had all but confirmed that he had given Takeda the Jason Todd treatment (i.e., beaten with a crowbar). Kenshi is more than happy to kill the Clown Prince for that. Of course, Jason Todd told Kenshi to "get in line," as he wants nothing more to use Joker for target practice. Kenshi has vowed to give Joker the same courtesy as he had given to Takeda, only with Sento in lieu of a crowbar.
    • But if there is one person that Kenshi hates with the fury of a patient man, it's Shang Tsung. In both timelines, Shang had played to Kenshi's ego, convincing him that he could find a sword worthy of his skill. Shang wasn't lying about the sword. All it cost was Kenshi's eyesight and Shang consuming the souls of his warrior king ancestors. Shang would also claim that he would consume Kenshi's own soul, Kenshi having made his final stand against the denizens of Shang's Island fortress. Kenshi denies the claim. However, the deified Seidan fanatic, Hotaru, hates Kenshi with the same intense passion as Kenshi has towards Shang Tsung. It probably has something to do with Kenshi bisecting him from gullet to groin following Onaga's return, thus saving Kuai Liang's life. As Hotaru sees Kenshi as a threat to Order in general (never mind that Havik had nearly killed his son), Hotaru has no problems in killing Kenshi if given the opportunity.
  • During the Netherrealm Timeline, one of Kenshi's variants is simply named Posessed, where Kenshi summons demons from his ruined blade to attack his opponent. It's the last one that worries Sigfried Schtauffen. Given that he was corrupted into becoming Nightmare upon taking Soul Sdge for himself upon touching the cursed sword, his concerns are not without merit. Fortunately, Kenshi hasn't used the Posessed variant in a while, and only uses it as a last resort, putting Sigfried at ease... mostly. On the opposite end, the living avatar, Nightmare, seeks to possess Kenshi's body due to his use of the Posessed variant. As it turns out, Siegfried wasn't the only one that was concerned about Kenshi using demons to attack his opponents, as both Heishiro Mitsurugi and Haohmaru also approached Kenshi regarding his attacks of choice. Samanouske Akaechi actually thought that Kenshi was a Genma agent, until Kenshi talked Sam down. As the reason why Kenshi knows these three rōnin? It's because that he himself was a wanderer in the first two timelines, which is how Kenshi had met the other three men. Every once in a while Kenshi would reunite with Haohmaru, Mitsurugi and Sam, where they compare stories and opponents. The last time they were together was at the Pao Pao Cafe, during Kurogiri and the Villain Pub's attack on the establishment, as they wrecked the four deified swordsmen's 'sake-and-chill' session. Kenshi, Sam, Mitsurugi and Haohmaru - nicknamer Team Rōnin - teamed up and aided the assortment of heroes - and some villains - in fighting off the invaders,
  • Kenshi is on friendly terms with John 'Baba Yaga' Wick and Beatrix 'The Bride' Kiddo. One thing that the trio have in common is their former ties to organized crime, Kenshi being an ex-Yakuza, John and Beatrix being former assassins, and the three leaving their previous lives to forge new paths... with varying levels of success. Of course, given that her former teammate went on to lead the Tokyo underworld, Beatrix was on her guard. Kenshi put her at ease, stating that while he and his clan knew of O-Ren Ishii and of the Crazy 88, the Takahashi clan had no dealings with them. Due to Kenshi's Yakuza past, he has past dealings with the House of Crime and Transgressions, and his news of trying to go legit has mixed reactions. What was shocking was that Michael Corleone had wished Kenshi luck in going legit, as he himself knows full well of the difficulties of trying to shift his family from organized crime to more legitimate activities. Yet, Don Corleone (along with Kazuma and Yankumi) made Kenshi swear that he would not come after them. So long as their activities don't threaten Earthrealm's safety, Kenshi agreed. Kenshi is lucky that most of the criminals - even some of the irredeemable ones - in the House of Crime hate the Black and Red Dragons as much as he does.

Alright, got two proposals here:

  • Battleblock Theater for Abominable Auditorium: the titular setting of the game and a Theater run by cats. The theater fulfills both the “poorly run” and “evil” sides of the trope: for the former, Battleblock Theater is stated to be way past its prime, being poorly managed, falling apart, and as the Narrator complains “smells like pee and feet”, and as for the latter the cats kidnap anyone that comes across the island and forces them to either become their boss so they can get paid, or compete in various deadly shows and be treated like prisoners.

  • Edward "Stubbs" Stubberfield for Patient Zero: A zombie accidentally raised from the dead wreaking havoc in Punchbowl city. The whole game is about Stubbs being the first zombie risen, and how you have to infect other people to create more zombies and overwhelm your enemies, alongside being smarter and more powerful than his fellow undead. By the end of the game the whole city is infected thanks to Stubbs.

I like both of those ideas.

Got a couple of new ideas. I wanna know if you guys like them or don't

  • Metal Man, God of Saw Blades (Hall of Bladed Weapons)-the very first Robot Master Dr Wily made. Metal Man's offense is the Metal Blade, circular saw blades that he throws at you. They do a hilarious amount of damage, and ironically enough Metal Man is weak to them. His level has a bunch of blades in it
  • Chill Penguin, God of Super Sliding (Hall of Non-Vehicular Travel, Neutral Evil)-Chill Penguin is a robotic penguin and former Maverick Hunter who joined Sigma's rebellion because he was frustrated by his boring Arctic job. Like real penguins he is skilled at sliding on ice and he tries to tackle you by sliding on the ice and sending penguin ice sculptures at your direction. His weapon, Shotgun Ice, allows you to slide with a penguin ice sculpture

While I work on Cotton Cookie and Sherbet Cookie, I was wondering if either Prom Wrecker or Murder Ballad was taken, cause I got the best candidate for the tropes.

In the musical 35MM: A Musical Exhibition, the last and most famous song is "The Ballad of Sara Barry", in which the popular girl, Sara Barry, wants to become Prom Queen under pressure by her father and will do everything she can do to it, ultimately deciding to murder the competition so that she wins by default. It is a very popular song on Youtube to make animatics of.

[down] Glad you chose that, will definitely start working on it during the new year. She's going in Killjoys and Griefers, but would she also have a temple in School as well, given that Proms are in schools?

In the wake of Transgender Fetishization being disambiged, I propose the following tropes as candidates for Poison to be moved to:

Option 1- She's a Man in Japan (In an effort to downplay the idea of punching women in the west, while Poison is a cis woman in Japan, she was retconned into being transfem overseas. This has something that has received mentions at points in games duch as Final Fight Revenge, Capcom Classics Collection, early quotes in Street Fighter X Tekken, and allusions in Street Fighter V (outdated terminology and weird quotes aside), with the general confusions on her (being either a cis woman, pre-op or post-op) being enough to, prompt numerous discussions and at least two decently-sized videos on YouTube discussing it.)

Option 2- Whip of Dominance (The simpler option of the two. To reflect her dominatrix aesthetic, Poison has been shown to wield various whip-like items in games, such as a riding crop in Street Fighter IV and a full-on whip in Street Fighter V.)

  • SCP-3812 used to be a normal African-American man called Sam Howell, who died in 1996. That was until he rose from his grave and disappeared. Initially it seemed like they had a Type-Green on their hand, but he proved impossible to contain. Whole nations started to blink in and out of existence, and a variety of chaotic events happened. What was weird is that the Hume levelsnote  remain unchanged, meaning reality was being altered in a way they weren't ready for. It was eventually concluded that he was ascending not to higher realities, but to higher narrative levels (so from a Show Within a Show, to the show, then Real Life then whatever may be beyond). And he suffered from schizophrenia, made worse by the input of a form of existence the human brain was never made for. Fortunately after a talk with himself he came to his senses, choosing instead to let the narrative of the SCP Foundation play out. He continues to explore and reach higher narrative levels, immensely powerful and incomprehensible but not malicious.
  • In the midst of a regular day in the Pantheon, several unexplainable occurrences took place. Straits of vegetation trailed across the deserts of the House of Nature, various explosions took place without warning, and entire Houses simply ceased to exist for a period of time. At the behest of the Main House, a Pantheon-wide investigation was held to find the Deity responsible for these events. It wasn't until Aurelion Sol discovered a new star in the pantheon sky that the culprit was found. The "star" was identified by the SCP Foundation to be SCP-3812. And with that, a sense of dread; there may be plenty of reality-bending Overdeities, but how many of those are capable of transcending the very narrative they exist in? A massive tower appeared in the Hall of Metafiction reaching parts unknown. The Moon God fictionalized 3812, but all that did was slow him down. Goku was about to push the Zen'o button. Even his own real life writer couldn't erase him, though they did argue. Fortunately Sam Howell made his intentions clear; he's not interested in controlling or destroying the Trope Pantheon. He's currently on his quest to reach higher narrative levels, but for now he wants to take a break and relax as he was interested in the Trope Pantheon. And yes, he's become aware of the writers contributing to it; he prefers not to ruin the project. He's been talking to (Insert Name Here) about it.
  • Suffers from a number of psychoses like difficulty determining reality from fiction, a second personality and general erratic behavior. He has made peace with his alter, and in his meantime has talked to Delirium of the Endless due to feeling a kindred spirit. Some feared this encounter; SCP-3812 has the ability to erase entire concepts from reality...aka tropes. This frightens Trope-Tan, and in all honesty she is still fearful of him even if he has decided to take a stance on neutrality. Sam chose to be honest about his intentions in that he wants to see if he can reach the pinnacle, that being Real Life itself, and maybe even see what's above it (ie: if the Simulation Hypothesis or something like it is true) but more so a means of exploration and understanding rather than any desire for power. He then constructed an ultimately humble temple, based on his old house in Louisiana. The SCP Foundation is still trying to work on a way of containing him, though he kind of gets it. After all, among his many impressive feats of reality warping, the remains of one of the anomalies he destroyed in his madness became SCP-239...yes, that 239. She's not sure how to feel about it and the Foundation would prefer they not communicate.
  • Comparisons could be made between Sam Howell and Jon Osterman. Once normal humans, they became reality warpers with a heightened perspective of reality. However, this perspective has not been good for their mental health; Sam has suffered schizophrenia and other mental disorders due to the input of different narrative levels, and being a Non-Linear Character depressed Manhattan because Prescience Is Predictable. SCP-3812 and Dr Manhattan conversed and opened up to each other about their experience, the latter noting he experimented with the fabric of reality but ultimately had a change of height. He also mused that the ability to reach higher narrative levels makes 3812 capable of understanding the structure of DC's metaverse, a mystery that alluded Dr Manhattan. SCP-3812 then looked on Giygas, and felt a bit better because as much as his ascension has induced Sanity Slippage, he has not been rendered as broken as Giygas. He holds pity for the alien even if he doesn't hold interest in destruction.
  • SCP-3812 has told Wiz and Boomstick it is not interested in a vs, let alone a DEATH BATTLE!, partly due to his "overexposure to narrative" has made it unable to accurately perceive the world, and is forced to alter reality to diminish the discrepancy between how it perceives something, and the way that something is in actuality. Also, partly because he would prefer not to cause collateral damage. Given that his ability to travel to higher narrative stacks would allow him to break out of a Death Battle simulation and into Wiz and Boomstick's location, and the Kayfabe video their live-action actors perform, it was a good call. Still, they gave him an idea; go up to Lord English and mock him that he may have killed his author's avatar, but he cannot and never will touch the Real Life Andrew Hussie. LE would go on a rampage afterwards, with Sam Howell being smart enough not to test his luck by being in firing range. Dhuum has been seething at him as well, since he cheated death and he knows he has absolutely no way of making him return to his grave.
  • Because of extreme potential for destruction, the GUAD has vested interest in trying to push his psyche into destroying all life. Kefka voiced disappointment that someone could go through a similar power and madness arc as him but not come to the same conclusion, so he has encouraged the GUAD to prove to Sam Howell that life is a pointless, tiny thing. Though the split personality pondered that the narrative they seek to destroy was one of trillions and they need not care, Sam Howell argued that even if its meaningless fun, it still has potential for something fulfilling and that they have each other. While meditating on this Zamasu lunged at him, thinking he was distracted and wanting to slay a mortal who dares become a god. It didn't work and SCP-3812 mused "you're no god, you're the pantheon's Hate Sink and I think they would find this funny". Later on Zamasu was found trapped in a panel of one of Master Roshi's dirty magazines. He got out eventually because 3812 lost focus, and he is still utterly fuming about the humiliation.
  • Given that he was an African-American man, racists are generally nervous around him. Never mind that SCP-3812 no longer sees himself as human and has stopped caring about such petty concerns like prejudice, the fact he was still strikes fear into Moon Man and Col Benjamin that he'll turn them into cantaloupes should they so much as whisper the N-word in private. 3812's concerns, at least when he's able to focus enough to be in relative lucidity, don't involve anyone trying to steal his powers for their own because no-one has gotten close. The Father of the Homunculi is deeply jealous of Sam Howell since without even trying, he has obtained his own greatest desire; absolute freedom, even from the very laws of nature. Considering Father can't break the fourth wall, he doesn't comprehend what transcending narratives would really mean. Now aware of his existence in a Double-Blind What-If, Adam Dressler is bemused by what'd be like to go upwards into the setting of the Kaiserreich Hearts Of Iron mod and then OT.
  • For those wondering what Wiz and Boomstick were considering, they sheepishly considered him fighting The One Above All after He already turned down a fight with the Presence. It is worth noting that SCP-3812 is not intended to be The Omnipotent like TOAA and some would argue there are stronger beings in the SCP verse, though with his "narrative transcendence" the Top God of Marvel was intrigued. Interestingly, it's noted The One Above All is aware of "the storyteller", implicitly admitting He knows the real life Marvel writers are beyond even Him , which might have influenced His interest in SCP-3812. That, and The One Above All is often seen as a sort of Author Avatar, having first taken the form of Jack Kirby. He seems to relate to Sam Howell at any rate, stating "The mystery intrigues me. I know how you feel...let's solve that mystery together". Also, He has a Hulk of sorts, The One Below All, so 3812's DID might be relatable to Him.
  • Many characters have No Fourth Wall, but they tend not to treat it with any seriousness. SCP-3812 had an argument with an author and the awareness of his own fictionality within fictionality combined with being able to leave, well, he certainly wouldn't call it a laughing matter. Rick thinks SCP-3812 is pretentious since while he does like to do a nice wink to the audience once in a while, overindulging in Meta Humor and making it the plot of an episode is a pet peeve of his. Sam is somewhat amused by Rick's statements since while nowhere near the plot-manipulating powerhouse he is, he's pretty cunning when it comes to fighting these tactics, and he wants to see what he might do in a sequel to "Full Meta Jackrick". Mr Mxyzptlk is another Reality Warper who feels fourth wall breaks should be more done for fun than anything serious and thinks that Sam Howell should just try to have fun here; he's not living in what's often a Cosmic Horror Story, and he should see the Trope Pantheon as a way to relax.
  • One of the reasons why Rick thinks 3812's meta nature and the potential consequences of serious fourth wall breaks might be because he believes the show won't retain its integrity if it makes whole plots off of meta instead of keeping it to one-off gags and jokes. Taking it to heart, SCP-3812 decided not to "infringe" on Deadpool's profile gimmick of first person perspective profiles. For those wondering, Wade Wilson isn't going to go on a soapbox and call 3812's power "pretentious", though he has had bad experience with an evil version of himself who went on a tirade of omnicidal nihilism and Rage Against the Author because of his awareness of the fourth wall and thus supposedly being meaningless. The Crimson Chin, having dealt with that angst, has told 3812 not to worry too much about whether you're fictional or not; he knows his reality is a comic book but he still finds the motivation to do heroism within in. That said, there's still a good amount of nervousness from him and Deadpool due to how powerful he is.
  • For those wondering, Animal Man has been barred from talking to SCP-3812 by the SCP Foundation despite, or rather because of his Noticing the Fourth Wall. This is because his talk with Grant Morrison showed for all those who claim The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You, Sam Howell's "threat" to real life is entirely Kayfabe; no matter how powerful a fictional character is written, they can NEVER enter real Real Life. It's possible that the SCP Foundation is freaked out since it renders one of their SCP-001 proposals (ie; a plan to kill the real life writers and viewers) All for Nothing should they ever use it. White Face didn't get the memo as it sees potential to further freak out the audience due to SCP-3812's power to ascend through narrative stacks. It's something White Face became aware of after noticing that the Hall of Metafiction tends to move to wherever 3812 appears should he stay in one location for too long.
  • Has somewhat of a soft spot for Neo and his allies, and the Mung Daal Catering. The latter are very much aware they have No Fourth Wall and rather than wallowing in existential crises, they take it casually. Given his own existential crises from ascending, he respects that...and even if he can't tell where they stack or fit on the narrative levels exactly, he still likes their show. For the former, he can respect their desire to be free from a simulation given his desire to ascend to a higher planes of existence.
  • Come, the night stretches out before us and the red sun has set. A voice behind me beckons. Come.

[up][up] John with his retcon powers is Unstuck from the narrative and is great at Retconjuration. Amatsu-Mikaboshi is the Anti-Cosmic Entity and is incredibly dangerous to them. Thanks to SCP’s narrative powers he should be able to avoid much of it since iirc Amatsu never touched that.

I’m plotting my schemes wherever I go! They’re perfect in every way…
