Artoria Pendragon, Goddess of Changing Historical People's Gender and Female Kings (Altria, Arturia, Saber, Saber Lily, King Arthur, The King of Knights, Saber Alter, Elise Watoson, The Once and Forever King, Proud Knight-King, The Mighty Bug Queen, The Cash Cow of Type-Moon, Devouring Dragon)

  • Vitriolic Best Buds with: Rider
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: Kiritsugu Emiya, Saber Alter, Tavish DeGroot/The Demoman, Cu Chulainn/Lancer (one-sided on her part), Lord Gwyn
  • Feared by: Altera
  • Commonality Connection with: The Emperor of Mankind
  • A Servant who rescued Shirou Emiya while the latter was attacked by Lancer, and later making a contract with each other but Shirou is not an experienced mage which severely limits Saber's combat prowess. It was only until later that Shirou had her sheath, Avalon inside of him that Saber truly gained back her powers. Eventually, they have won the war but since she finally got the Grail, she finally passed on to Avalon rather than going back to her time of death. Shirou promises to find a way to reunite with her once more and sure enough, they finally reunited in Avalon.
    • How did she came here, you ask? Well, due to that timeline she got recorded into the Throne of Heroes, becoming a proper Heroic Spirit able to be summoned by the Master of Chaldea. She ascended to the Trope Pantheons with full memories of all continuities she's in for simplicity's sake and was bestowed upon the title of Goddess of Changing Historical People's Gender and Female Kings, due to being the first example of the first trope in her home series which became widespread and she is a famous and an obvious example for the second one. Shirou was there when she first ascended and they warmfully hugged which thawed the hearts of those around them since reuniting back at Avalon.
Shirou: I told I will come for you.
Saber: *giggles* Of course you would.
    • Was finally reunited with both the true Excalibur and Avalon. With these two items now in her possession, she has become a Greater Goddess.
  • Although her domain is primarily within the House of Gender, Artoria was designated for double duty in the House of Royalty. Allegedly, it was to even out the ratio of kings/princes to queens/princesses in the House... something that everyone finds a bit ironic.
    • However, she currently spends most of her time in the Sub-House of Weapon Creation in which Shirou Emiya resides. Her stated reason is that despite the two no longer having a contract, she vowed to always protect him. Plus, he is an amazing cook. Others, however, would think there's more to it.
  • Her relationships with the other girls are actually fine in spite of their competition for Shirou's affection. Rin and Saber may find each other disagreeing a lot in various topics, but they ultimately have Shirou in the best of their interests; most people like to tease them over being too close with each other, which was almost always met with insistent denial and furious blushing. Despite holding Shirou close, Sakura got along fine with Saber and they're able to relate over having guilty consciences. Rider has a little rivalry with Saber, with the latter being secretly jealous of the former's shapely body and Rider's biggest criticism being that Saber freeloads in Shirou's temple a lot but they're usually cool with each other otherwise. At first, Saber didn't want to think Illyasviel is truly Irisviel's daughter because she assumes Illya is another Einzbern homunculus entirely and she forgot to ask Irisviel her daughter's name; later as she interacts with her under normal circumstances, Saber is able to see Illya in a better light after the initial mistrust.
    • Initially, Taiga was apprehensive at Saber but then she gradually warms up to her, more so when they spar at kendo once and Saber appreciates Taiga's carefree yet honest attitude and knows she's worthy of being Shirou's guardian. Taiga also rivals her in the freeloading department though they are not looking to compete with each other on that.
    • Her reunion with Kiritsugu and Irisviel is both conflicting and heartwarming. On one hand, Saber gets along well with Iri, even having fitting dynamics with her. On the other, Kiritsugu got along the least with Saber because back then, their philosophies clash greatly with Saber harboring disgust over his dishonorable actions and lack of decency despite no longer caring about him forcing her to destroy the grail while Kiritsugu considers her someone who is too bound by a romanticized view of war and chivalry to amount to much good in the world. Of course, Kiritsugu has long since been inactive in his assassination business and he has entrusted his hidden ideals to Shirou entirely, so their hostilities has since reduced quite fairly; he and Irisviel are surprised that Saber and Shirou are romantically close, but they are not complaining since the two have been through a lot and they deserve some happiness after all that. Since their bitter opinions of each other crops up every now and again, their teamwork will be a last resort should everything go down the drain fast enough.
    • She and Archer at first antagonized each other, with their philosophies clashing greatly though later on, she learned about his true identity and began to reduce her hostilities towards him once realizing that they both have similar previous lives. Nowadays, they are pretty civil towards each other especially when working around Chaldea, and Saber couldn't help but fondly see his younger self in him. Due to her previous experiences with them, Saber is still wary of Lancer, despite him being legitimately friendly with her and Caster is still chasing after her hoping to dress her up in pretty little dresses; Saber often wonders if things will ever change for them for better or worse.
    • Saber also had a reunion with Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, ever since the Fourth Holy Grail War. She's relieved that he doesn't remember much of him cursing her, The Holy Grail, his former Master and said Master's fiancee while dying due to Trauma-Induced Amnesia and Diarmuid is still looking to truly finish their duel for once; they decided to remain confidants during their downtimes. The same can't be said for the Rider Servant Alexander the Great/Iskandar who berated her for her rather selfish wish, which weighs her down with her already guilty conscience. Iskandar notices that Saber is growing to be a better person and was proud that she heeded his words... well, it was Shirou who did fully convinced her to let go of it anyway, Saber thought. It seems they still don't like each other enough that it takes the Master of Chaldea to bring them together without them fighting.
    • Of course she's not pleased with Gilgamesh in the Pantheons, given that he thinks he deserves to own Saber all for himself; he seems to have gotten over that though the attraction remains clear and Saber is NEVER looking to entertain him. She was also warned by Iri that Kirei Kotomine is an evil man, and Saber decides to take her word for it; it doesn't help that it's true that he started the Fuyuki Fire which took away Shirou's past though Kotomine have nothing more to settle with her yet will still hold his ground against her if she foil his plans. Avenger is an enemy she shares with everyone no matter they stand with her, since he corrupted the Grail and caused everything wrong with the Grail Wars; Avenger himself couldn't care less about her much but he wished that she would still go after it one more time since he likes seeing people wanting their wishes to come true.
    • And of course, Saber had clashed swords with Saber Alter who was initially her Superpowered Evil Side but slowly started to manifest on her own. Saber doesn't like the fact that she has become the worst parts of Kiritsugu and Archer combined in one timeline and resolves to never let herself be swallowed by the Black Grail's mud EVER while Saber Alter still sees her as a foolish idealist of a past self.
      • Be careful if you remove Saber's ahoge while she and Saber Alter are fused. It will not end well for you. Fortunately, when they are separate Saber will just be plain angry insteadnote .
    • Artoria is glad that the Master of Chaldea has finally ascended, since she has full faith in him ever since their contract started. On top of serving him once more, she also introduced him to Shirou so that he can understand why she hold him so dearly in her heart.
    • The Saberface phenomenon is already getting on her nerves a lot, so much so that an alternate version of her "Mysterious Heroine X" persona manifested on her own to embody that frustration. Despite this, with the Pantheons' unusual nature with the space-time continuum she is able to summon her alternate versions from different continuities (including said MHX) and also assumes their form/Class by wielding their weaponsnote  which adds to her already powerful abilities.
    • She was said to be a descendant of Nero Claudius, a theory which Nero would be completely proud of if it was true though Saber doesn't really share her feelings back due to taking away her popularity by sharing her face. She feels that if they ever want to get along, Nero must bring her dessert everytime they meet, a challenge that Nero is ready accept. Altera however stays away from her due to being slain by Excalibur as the alien weapon Sefar, though Saber holds no grudge but is surprised that she is no longer that same Sefar, only a duplicate who kept the memories.
    • Artoria would never thought she would share the same face and one of her voices with a Frenchwoman, but once she has gotten to know Saint Jeanne d'Arc, she realized that it's the common ground they have in addition to living somewhat identical lives and becoming more open-hearted by a boy who they swore to protect. They often meet over tea discussing about various matters, which some say is far better than their Alters having a rivalry. Jeanne then introduces her to Sieg who she treasures dearly and Siegfried the hero who saved his life; Artoria finds Sieg to be budding like Shirou and is amused with both of them getting along while also appreciating and respecting Siegfried's ideals of becoming a "Hero of Justice", finding him being more pleasant than Archer.
    • She met Astolfo and was baffled at how he dresses to the point that he is mistaken for a girl very often, which Astolfo refutes that if she can crossdress, why can't he? She did provide a justification that Britain back then had outdated values and she was force to comply to prevent such an outrage, which earn a sad frown from the paladin of Charlemagne. Nevertheless, she still recognizes him as a knight of Charlemagne worthy of his respect while he knows she's still did a great job as a king through and through.
    • Artoria had a sad reunion with Sir Lancelot and Sir Gawain. Lancelot stayed away from her previously because he sees himself as a failure of a knight from his affair with Guinevere and his actions in the Fourth Fuyuki Holy Grail War as a Berserker while Gawain feels terrible over not seeing her true pain of her governing as king; Artoria forgives both of them, stating that she does not blame them for what happened and she would give blessings to Lancelot and Guinevere should they wish to be happy and gives Gawain an opportunity to be better. Since then, they have pledged to serve their king right this time though Gawain needs to make better food for once. She also finally found Merlin again since Avalon, and he did his usual distancing by fooling around but they both know that he's happy to see her again even if said distancing facade is annoying.
    • Saber recognizes Goetia, Tiamat and Kiara Sesshouin as enemies of humanity after Ritsuka summons her to take them down from fulfilling their destructive plans and likewise they don't care much for her except for Kiara who's expects her to join her world-destroying orgy. B.B. too after attacking SE.RA.PH. for a second time though she's less irked that she shares Sakura's face and more irked that she chooses to toy with everyone For the Evulz and B.B. herself is strangely iffy with seeing someone sharing Nero's face being righteous against her.
    • Reunites with Shiki Ryougi and Arcueid Brunestud since their antics at Ahnenerbe, which is currently not ascended to give Saber a part time job. Nevertheless, they still join together be it for taking down a larger threat, protecting their men or just screw around after a mundane discussion. Due to events causing Arcueid to distrusts Shiki, Saber often serve as their mediator in case their outings turn violent.
  • Had mixed feelings when Mordred ascended. On one hand, there's the whole rebellion of the kingdom, her bratty and unladylike behaviour and killing each other at Camlann which caused almost all her problems in the first place, not to mention her threatening to unleash Excalibur or Rhongomyniad should Mordred did something slight which others find concerning. On the other hand, Artoria does recognize that she did have some role in it all and so is perfectly willing to try and patch up their relationship. Mordred has yet to respond to these efforts.
    • And then the day finally comes. The Master of Chaldea and Jeanne arrange this meeting at Artoria's behest, and Mordred was nervous to even look at her in the eyes. They started by lashing out at each other, expressing each other's dark opinions on the other in a swordfight and ended with Mordred defeated by her "father's" hands, causing Mordred to spurt out her true reason for her rebellion: all she wanted was to not only prove herself to her "father" that she's worthy, but to lessen her burden that was clearly weighing down on her and that became twisted by her mother, their world's Morgan le Fay. After this shocking revelation Artoria dropped Excalibur to the ground and hugged her "son", sobbing uncontrollably, apologizing and self-deprecating for not seeing it sooner with Mordred doing the same and admitting that she too is in the wrong herself.
Artoria: *sobbing* I was a fool to be very horrible to you...
Mordred: *sniff* T-That's okay, father. Mother got to me too easily...
Artoria: *sniff* I... I will make sure your mother will never, ever touch you, nor me nor any of the other knights when she comes around, okay?
      Mordred: O-Okay. C-Can I join you, father?
      Artoria: ...Very well, my son.
    • That said, despite largely being on good terms with Mordred now, Artoria is still critical of her reckless behaviour and unnecessarily fanatic obsession of her. Some people think she's like a disappointed parent wanting the best for her child, a comment the former king gets flustered by.
    • By the way, if you wonder how Artoria can be Mordred's "father", well it's a funny story...note
  • Saber was strolling through the House of Royalty one day when she finally stumbled upon Arthur Pendragon, her Distaff Counterpart and to his surprise, she also exists in the Nasuverse. The two of them share stories about their time as a Servant and Arthur offers her words of encouragement to congratulate her as a leader who overcome sexism and they usually end their evening with a friendly non-magical sword fight to see which King Arthur is better. They, along with Saber of Red will team up against the treacherous Sir Mordred who is insulted that he and Arthur were female in another world. On a more mundane note, Saber and Arthur noted that they sounded like each other's Merlins which causes occasional confusions.
    • They later decided to join Artix von Krieger into the GUAG Sacred Knights division with Gawain, Lancelot and Astolfo following suit. Artix has proven to be a great leader which makes the three mutually respect each other and he likewise assures them that they did everything for Camelot and its glory.
    • Having experience with "Artie", Shrek befriended Artoria who felt bad that he was shunned due to being an ogre and not as another living being not unlike her who was accused of not caring for her people. Ash Williams was also introduced to her; she does not approve of his current behaviour and previous mistakes but that has not stop her from being impressed at his feats of defeating threats stronger than him.
  • She's recently started to form a bond with Sonic, due to him having at one point taken the title of King Arthur in an alternate universe. They get along rather well, and sometimes the two spar in order for Sonic to keep up his swordsmanship. She also looked at Shadow in confusion when she learned that he was Lancelot in that universe, but after learning more about him she actually admitted it was a fitting match.
    • And then there's Arthur and Sonic's uneasy alliance because Arthur's alternate self became the Black Knight and Sonic is too wary of Arthur being the same as him. Saber does try to mediate between the two, but it only works momentarily until they both have another reason to fight, much to her annoyance.
  • Prefers if her Excalibur is the quiet one. When it turns out there's another that has the same power, but instead is way more loony… (ﺧ益ﺨ) This Excalibur is SLIGHTLY more respectful to her than he is to most, as she is King Arthur, who was the only Meister he respected. He's willing to not interrupt her when she talks, and is actually willing to let her use him in combat. Regardless, he still wants her to attend his five-hour story time and listen to his "exploits." So, he still annoys her.
    • If neither Excalibur is available, she will use her other legendary weapon, Caliburn. Though more often than not since it's linked to when she pulled the Sword of Selection, she is often required to drink the Lily potion to wield it (also not to be confused with Chaldea's copy of her with memories plucked from her youthful days) but since Gilgamesh made it, she considers this method a last resort. Also, when she wields Caliburn her opponents could be seen taking extra care with their crotches out of fear from getting blasted in the nuts, in which she said the following.
Saber: You should worry about your whole body, not just that one... part. Excalibur's beam is too big for that.
  • Jeanne introduced Saber to Optimus Prime, the Cybertronian leader of Autobots who commends Saber's sense of duty to her Master. He was saddened that Saber had great regrets for not being there so much for her kingdom to the point of wanting to undo her rule and assures her that she does not need to be burdened by her kingly duties and start being human again. By virtue of allying with Prime, Megatron has come to antagonize her and tried to insult her past to rub in some salt to her which worked too well as Saber hates him back for causing too much trouble for the Autobots. Unicron also poses a very dire threat on par with Goetia, and is working closely with the Master of Chaldea to combat the Planet Eater.
  • On a stroll one day, Saber stumbled upon a rabbit that seems harmless. Approaching to pet its head, the rabbit ended up ambushing her instead and forces the King of Knights to draw out Excalibur. After Arthur intervenes and both of them escaped, Saber facepalmed upon being told that the Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog is no fluffy bunny and proceeds to abscond the moment she sees it again.
  • Has affiliated herself with a few Kamen Riders; most notably Brave, Gaim and Blade for being fellow blue swordsmen who praised her own swordsmanship and heroic actions in the Fifth Holy Grail War and OOO for being a fellow selfless hero with a broken past once introduced to him by Shirou. She also has given them support against their greatest enemy SHOCKER for which they are ever grateful for.
  • Few know this, but Artoria actually has dragon's blood running in her veins which gives her a massive mana reserve that lets her perform her most powerful attack. Crossbreed Priscilla approached her in one rare outing for her out of curiosity of said blood and Artoria replied that Merlin uses his magic to infuse her with it and not hereditary; Priscilla is sad that she's not a true half-dragon offspring, but finds Artoria a good companion. She won't mention that mana transfer dragon thing around her.
  • Don't be mistaken: even though Artoria is a Big Eater, she will only eat the most delicious of foods. Many have asked her if there was any good food in Camelot. Her only response is to stare into the distance in despair and blame Gawain for his bad mash potatoes. Though, the only food she will never eat no matter how good they are would be anything made out of octopus. The reason being that they remind her of Gilles de Rais' monsters.
    • This is why she's forever grateful towards the House of Food for providing her more options to eat... except for the Mafia of Cooks and Mystery Food X. She wouldn't want to eat anything from the former and she knows the Investigation Team didn't mean for the latter to happen, but bad luck has dictated its existence due to three members' inexperience with cooking.
  • As a (former) ruler of Camelot, it would make sense for her to visit other rulers of kingdoms to see if they did the job better than her. When she first met Simba and Mufasa, she couldn't hold in her excitement as she can't help but cuddled up next to the two, justifying it by her adoration of lions that came from taking care of a lion cub when she was younger. They were saddened that she didn't give herself the opportunity to be more open and let her people empathize with her, but Saber assures them that this time she'll make it right. She also gained a fondness for Sora's cub form because of the aforementioned took-care-of-lion-cub thing but that is just one reason why she has good faith in Sora; the other is because he's a better hero than her and Shirou that they both can't help but respect and admire his journey.
    • Gaius gets along well with Saber, as she was once a kind ruler to her people in her former life much like himself but he is sad that it was not enough to convince them that she cared enough. Kitana also allied with her for more than just a shared voice because both shared the same desire for justice and a just rule for their people, while bonding over their shared affection over another person. While Artoria thinks she wasn't the best ruler of Camelot, Kitana and Gaius believes she has done her best.
    • Surprised several among the Pantheon when she developed a rapport with the 16th Monster Lord Alice. For like her, she once believed she was unworthy of her title and sought to die to try and make things right, only to change her mind thanks to someone she loved. That said, Artoria does not come to her for any romance advice, which Alice took as fair enough.
    • Aldia considers her the worst king he ever known, finding her to be lesser than Arthur and pathetic for relying on sex for more mana; the feeling is mutual since she agrees with Shirou that Aldia does not deserve to be considered another living being anymore, because he died the moment he became immortal which stripped away his last shred of humanity. Saber's enmity with Aldia did open her eyes to evil kings like Ostarion and Arthas Menethil seeking to spread their respective influences who she finds to be just as, if not worse than Saber Alter; both Ostarion and Arthas scoff at her though they do recognise her abilities as a powerful king in her own right.
    • Relates a lot to Gwyn, as both her and him have strived for perfection for their kingdoms but they each had flaws, like Saber begetting her humanity because she thinks a king must not openly feel and Gwyn's extreme paranoia that resulted in the creation of the Darksign. Gwyn is a little irked that she had Merlin give her dragon bloodnote  but he knows that Saber is absolutely fighting for good while Saber can't fully agree on most of Gwyn's opinions and methods but she knows he has good intentions in mind even if they are questionable at best.
    • The moment Saber's tale of Camelot's fate was revealed, a large senesation was felt throughout her body, starting from her spine up to her mind. It turns out that the God-Emperor of Man felt some similarities between them both, especially on one thing: their attempts to be the perfect rulers. In a sense, both removed their emotions, especially apathy, and did all they could to be perfect to their people, but resulted in both being extremely arrogant and cold-blooded, which resulted to their downfalls. Her presence has led the Emperor on massive rants about his decision to remove his personal sentiments, believing that in a grim time, he needs it more than ever. Saber's reaction towards this was half and half, being both sympathetic on Emps for sacrificing and much like her, forced to face consequences of their inhuman statures (from Mordred's rebellion up to Primarch's lack of personal care from him resulting to their loss of faith, and eventually, the Horus Heresy). Yet on one side, she could not understand that for all his issues, he has not tried moving on from his arrogance which was a source of his grim necessity. The discovery has made her sure to reevaluate her life and implores her to be better now that she decided to live her life again with Shirou and be a better parent to Mordred for once.
  • Occasionally has a Mêlée à Trois with both Erza Scarlet and Satellizer el Bridget when she's in a particularly good mood, due to the fact that all three find some surprising similarities between each other like being good swordswomen and having close male partners. Artoria, for her part, considers them both Worthy Opponents and true knights.
  • Having empowered swords like her, Shana, Kisuke Uzuki and Artorias have befriended her on separate occasions. Shana gains Saber's respect when she helped to stop the apocalypse happening in her world with Yuji as well as saving him from himself at the end; Saber can't help but be reminded of Rin from her Tsundere behaviour, a comparison Shana oh-so denies while being flustered. Her voice brings Kisuke back some memories but he refuses to press on the matter except to ask if she wielded a bow, which she replied that she didn't do it often; some gods at House of Love have tried matching them together, something that baffles Saber who is already going out with Shirou. She felt bad for Artorias, who is currently containing the Abyss which may cause him to go on a rampage again, not unlike Lancelot becoming a Berserker; Artorias himself often treats Artoria as well as Gwyn, his king, often commenting he'd like to be a knight for both.
  • As Servants are basically guardian entities, Gardevoir & Gallade have acquainted with the Proud Knight-King hoping to keep on learning how to protect their Trainers better which Saber is more than happy to teach them. They do agree that Shiro Tagachi put a bad name to bodyguards of all as he is like any selfish Servant in a Holy Grail War who will defy their Master for their own goals; Tagachi knows Saber is dangerous to fight against, so he's staying away from her for the time being.
  • Despises both Nightmare and Soul Edge, seeing them as no better than monsters (and in the latter's case, of the Holy Grail of her world) in how they desire to absorb souls and spread chaos throughout the Pantheon as well as distrusting Soul Calibur because her facade of light does not mask her extremist goals; the three barely care for her as long as she does not intervene. They had to be on guard as she's often one of the first to offer her services in combating them, something fellow Sacred Knight Siegfried Schtauffen gladly accepts.
  • Has befriended Lucina over how they both pretended to be men at one point in their lives, watched their respective kingdoms fall into destruction and despair (albeit for different reasons), and traveled through time to prevent those futures from happening (though Artoria is glad that Lucina was at least able to succeed). They often spend time either sparring together or talking about their worlds or their respective friends (and maybe something more?) in Shirou and Robin.
    • It was during this time that she learned of the existence of the Fell Dragon Grima, and she has since offered her assistance to Lucina and Robin in order to confront him if they should ever require the aid.
  • As she is a genderbent King Arthur, Toyosatomimi no Miko and Tresdin approached her for her opinion on being the opposite gender and if it brings benefits; she expressed to them that it ultimately depends how the person takes it but for herself while having no problems pretending to be male, she never want to be biologically male again after her world's Morgan le Fay used her fluids to create Mordred who caused the rebellion that brought Camelot down which Miko and Tresdin were horrified to hear. Since then, the two kept in touch with her for later with Tresdin appreciating future friendly spars. She felt bad for Chihiro Fujisaki and Naoto Shirogane because their respective societies' expectations of gender roles caused them to crossdress under their pressure in order to not get bullied again and be taken seriously, not unlike her pressure to crossdress due to Britain's outdated sexism against female rulers. She vows to protect Chihiro in his time of need and partner with Naoto in hers which they are gladly grateful for.
    • Estonia was very surprised to see a female King Arthur, since he's too used to Arthur being male. Nevertheless, they got along for some tea once the initial shock was over.
  • Has told tales about some strange encounters she has come across. While she still wonders what connects her to them, she notes that she is surprised that she has not seen any of those fighters in the Pantheon... until she was reunited with Saya, probably the last person she would have wanted to be reunited with.
    • Luckily for her, Saya is not the only familiar face she have to reunite with. She's also formed a friendship with Heart Aino and a rivalry with Homura of the Crimson Squad due to their encounters there, with their feelings here being mutual.
  • Fuse's attack and arrival has put her on high alert whenever he is brought up as she recognizes his large scale threat and agrees with Ritsuka that he must be stopped. Fuse himself shouldn't worry about the former king that much while biding his time, but he knows she will be even more dangerous once she and Ritsuka team up with the Cartoon Network deities to bring him down with a Nano based off of her.
  • Once had a short falling out with some of the female deities when they found out about this. Luckily, the air got cleared when the GUAG White Hats clarified that it's just a meme floating around and said female deities apologized for the outrage.
Artoria: I'm... serious. I really don't remember saying that.
  • Chiyoko Shiraishi hired Saber into her cafe after hearing about her previous waiting stint at Ahnenerbe, hoping to both give her work experience and emulate said stint's earnings without the disaster. Unfortunately for Saber, it had to be on the day that many of its costumers were a bit wacky. Despite that, she was able to convince many of those customers to order more then they wanted and scold them for any mishaps they inflicted. Chiyoko was so impressed with tripling her previous sales record that she asked Saber to work full time which the latter at first reprimanded her for even suggesting that from a king; she later gave in once Rider and Caster bullied her again for constantly the freeloading and wanting to stick in their faces for once.
  • If there is one other thing Saber and Rider can agree on, it's the fact that "eco mode" has its benefits. They hope the other Servants in Chaldea haven't caught on yet...
  • "The weight of my sword is the weight of my pride."
  • Also resides in Monarchs.

Intermediate Gods

    Chevalier d'Eon
Chevalier d'Eon, Deity of Transgender Confusion (Le Chevalier d'Éon, D'Éon de Beaumont, Lea de Beaumont, Saber, The Knight of White Lilies, Charles-Geneviève-Louis-Auguste-André-Timothée d'Éon de Beaumont)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sabereongostage4.png
  • Intermediate Deity
  • Symbol: An androgynous figure wearing half male's clothing, half female's clothing
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Portfolio: Transgender Confusion that Extends to Their Actual Sex note , Wholesome Crossdresser, Was Both a Spy and a Dragoon, Was Eventually Exiled from France
  • Domains: Transgender, Prettiness, Spies, Dragoons, Diplomats
  • Followers: Yagyuu Kyuubei, Xavin, Kizuna AI, Ellen
  • Allies: Poison, Charlotte Dunois, Naoto Shirogane, Perrine H. Clostermann, Astolfo, Ky Kiske, Ranma Saotome, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Beatrice
  • Opposes: Charles-Henri Sanson
  • A diplomat, a spy, a freemason, captain of the dragoons at one point and possibly a writer, d'Eon was many things. However, there is one thing what stands up the most about d'Eon: their gender identity. Born with androgynous looks, d'Eon used that fact to dress up as a woman some times to act as a spy like to get close to Elizabeth of Russia, and started to claim to be female at birth. Though studies made to their corpse showed that they were actually male at birth. Even to this day, people are confused on what d'Eon really was, in true gender and gender identity.
    • To make things more simpler, d'Eon asks people to see them as whatever they want to see them as. In fact, after ascending to the Throne of Heroes, their gender might as well be "whatever d'Eon wills it".
  • House of Commerce has put up a betting pool on what gender d'Eon really is. They honestly facepalmed at that, as they can't believe that someone would do that again.
  • Just to clarify, d'Eon presumably still has a male body, unlike Poison, who had outright sex change. D'Eon does sympathize with her due of constant arguments about her situation. The same can be said about Naoto, though only due of her being forced to pretend to be a man due of her line of duty.
  • Was supposedly part on trying to solve an Ancient Conspiracy. Though d'Eon has stated that those events are false. Especially in regards of their older sister possessing them occasionally.
  • Really doesn't like The Spy, another French spy. Though they have more friendly relations with other French people like Charlotte, Ky Kiske and Perrine. They are actually training Perrine how to wield a sword more properly.
  • Is little bit of confused with Kain Highwind as even though he is a "dragoon", he isn't a dragoon they are familiar with.
  • After everything is said and done, even they are confused with Mr Garrison. Because they honestly think that Garrison is screwing with everybody.
  • According to Mozart, d'Eon has an affection forwards Marie Antoinette. No one is sure how it came to be, but it could be due of them being exiled from France before Marie came to power.
  • They actually knows about the Assassins and even once asked for an assistance of the Assassin Arno Victor Dorian to help them. As such, they seem to also get along with Ezio.
  • Just for reference, "Chevalier" is not an actual name. It is a title roughly meaning "knight".
  • D'Eon has sympathies forwards Beatrice. Or rather, Sayo Yasuda, as they can't believe how badly things had to have gone for someone to develop multiple gender personas.
  • Has supposedly met Sanson in the past due of something what happened with him and his sister Marie Joseph. They really don't like Sanson due of those events, as Marie was only person who really accepted them as they are. Though they do admit that them growing a moustache was bit silly, looking back at things.

"I am neither a man nor a woman. I am a lady that bears the title of a Chevalier!!!"

  • Intermediate Deity
  • Symbol: His necklace (the Amulet of Aurora) converted into a watch-like bracelet
  • Alignment: Chaotic Good
  • Portfolio: Born As A Woman, Identifies As A Man, Is Also Gay, Trans Tribulations, Can See Peoples' Emotions In The Form of Light, "Magical Boy" Warrior, Supernaturally Invalidated As A Trans Person Until Later On, Burdened By His Destiny, Magic Staff -> Cool Sword With An Energy Blade And Also Has A Chain For Grabbing, Power Gives You Wings
  • Domain(s): Transgender, Magic, Sealing
  • Heralds: his parents Hikari and Kai, "Team Magical Boy" (Jennifer "Jen" Jaiprasert, Sean Moore (eventual boyfriend), and Pyper Ryland)
  • High Priestess: Jackie Jameson Macfield
  • Followers: Kiyoharu Suirenji, Chiaki Ogawa, Ash, Danny Tozer/Dreadnought IV, Rain Flaherty/Liriel Rain Bryer, Haru, Barney Guttman, Togata
  • Allies: GUAG Magical Girl Sisterhood, Lie Ren, Bridget, Poison, Mai Natsume, Hana of the Tokyo Godfathers, and Madeline (Celeste), Naoto Shirogane, Kanji Tatsumi, Korra, Amara
  • Enemies: homophobes, Judge Frollo, the Heartless, other evil demons, Unalaq, Vaatu, Chuck Shurley, Pennywise, the Dementors
  • Transgender people have it rough. Not only do they have to come to terms to their own identity, they also have to face judgment from all the people around them. Their family, their friends, their peers, their colleagues, from strangers, from transphobes, from transphiles, and everyone in between. Whether they handle this alone or with support, or whether there's even a happy ending, it's not easy being transgender.
  • Max Owen is a born-woman who identifies as a man, but just as he came out to his parents about this, his mother also came out as coming from a line of Magical Girls, and wants to shove her "daughter" back in the closet due to the fact that an image of femininity powers the transformation. Still, Max struggled against that notion anyway while also handling the demons of Devoid that were running loose and attempting to break the seal made by Aurora to keep him in check. And unlike his ancestors, his friends stood by his side in all this and lent a hand in fighting off the demons. As it turns out however, femininity had nothing to do with it at all, for the Goddess Aurora was technically genderless, only adopting the female identity because she envied female life and their ability to create life. It's her followers that assumed femininity was a requirement due to struggling to make sense of Aurora's blessings. As a matter of fact, the first Descendant was actually male and her husband, and ultimately, it all comes back to having love, trust, and empathy for oneself and others.
  • The invitation to the Pantheon came one day after the whole mess with Devoid was resolved when an envoy came with the amulet of Aurora. Max could feel its power, and was confused as he thought it had to be surrendered to keep his dimension and Devoid's separate. The envoy told him that the privilege to being a Pantheon deity is the return of magical abilities, and because the Court of the Gods made contact with Aurora and Devoid in their new universe and arranged for Aurora to be able to transmit her power to Max once more. They had also invited Lord Animosus to reunite with Max, but he only did so for a brief moment before returning to the other universe, given he still has to mediate between Aurora and Devoid so that the tragedy of the past doesn't happen again.
  • Even prior to being told of his magical heritage, Max has the ability to see colored lights emitting off people, which usually reflects how they're feeling. He tends to call them "light farts". As for what each color represents, they're as follows: Red for Passion, Pink for Love, Orange for Courage, Yellow for Joy, Green for Hope, Blue for Gratitude, Violet for Faith and Serenity, and Black for negative emotions like Anger, Hatred, and Despair. Lie Ren has noted that it resembles how his Semblance has evolved into, though they take the form of colored petals instead of "farts".
  • One of the things that had to be established was that there's no need to worry about any masquerade, since the Pantheon is "unmasqued", and that's somewhat relieving. His invitation into the Magical Girl Sisterhood proved to be another notable affair, as while they've already had males in their main ranks (who happen to turn into girls) (Tail Red, La Pucelle, Natsuru), a trans male is something else, but the whole male MG incident started by Souji Mitsuka's addition has given enough precedent for them to be accepting of Max. It helps that Amu Hinamori has seen Magical Boys in her adventures. Sure, there's the Superhero Division, where the Pantheon's other rare cases of Magical Boys (He-Man, Steven Universe, Cat Noir) are at (well, He-Man's at the Combat Division), but Max doesn't feel like that's his thing.
  • Given how there are very few transgender people represented as it is, Max was swiftly introduced to them: Bridget, Poison, Mai Natsume (though her transition was wholly supernatural), Hana of the Tokyo Godfathers, and Madeline, climber of Celeste Mountain. While Max is the sole transmasc among them compared to everyone else being transfem, they all show their appreciation to being true to himself, and he gets along with all of them well enough (though Poison was a bit harder to tolerate given the ex-gang member's occasional insensitivity). And with the exception of Hana and Madeline (though she has recently gotten used to archery, and has excellent mobility options otherwise, plus the Part of Her named Badeline), they're all reliable allies in a fight.
  • In terms of how exactly the Magical Boy's powers work, they're light-based attacks meant for purifying demons (read: corrupted nature spirits) and sending them to another dimension, and for sealing dimensional rifts, so he's not sure how they'll work against other targets. His weapon takes the form of a staff, but he can shift it into a sword with an energy blade. He can also break off pieces of his weapon and hand it over to others to give them the same sealing power as him, but they should also be in the proper positive emotional state for it to work. As seen in the hidden images, his first outfit was a version of his mother's back when she had powers, but as he became more used to his powers and role, his dress slowly turned from feminine to masculine-looking to reflect his growth.
  • Admires open-minded parents, especially in regards to gender identity, just as his father Kai has (while his mother Hikari took a long time to come to terms with her child's gender identity, especially with the threat of Devoid's demonic army requiring the power of Aurora and femininity being needed to power the transformation except as established above that was never the case). As a transgender person, Max naturally opposes those who advocate against the LGBT community, and is occasionally tempted to invoke "May the power of gay compel you!" at them if they're the type to force their issues with violence. He also holds sympathy for those in the armored closet, as had been the case with Pyper, given her anti-LGBT pastor of a father, before Devoid's release and one of his demons giving his thanks eventually changed his ways. Speaking of Pastor Ryland, Max also loathes men of the cloth who discriminate and promote such thoughts, and Judge Frollo is one of the vilest sort given his own lust for Esmeralda. And as an old-fashioned man, Frollo is naturally a hard-on transphobe.
  • Another kindred soul who somewhat understood Max's tribulation was Naoto Shirogane, who had the reverse "gender reception" situation as him: she once felt society required her to be male to pursue detective work, and her Shadow even offered a gender changing operation. There was also Kanji Tatsumi, who also has non-masculine interests [knitting work], and had feelings for Naoto even before the Investigation Team discovered her secret, which had left him confused and frustrated given he felt he had to hide his hobbies. As someone who was able to help two cosmic beings make amends, he gets along with Amara, but became enemies with Chuck Shurley after hearing how he sees his creations as nothing more than toys for his amusement.
  • Strongly opposes emotion eaters, as they're reminiscent of Devoid and his forces, particularly those who thrive on despair. Those mainly on this list are Pennywise (feeds on fears and flesh of children), No Face (though he's only really dangerous if he's feasted on too many negative emotions, and is pretty chill otherwise according to Chihiro Ogino), and the Dementors (feeding off happy memories and emotions). And then there are those that thrive in the presence of despair and in propagating it, such as Junko Enoshima, who is also a bit of a homophobe on top of bringing her entire world to despair just because she's bored. There's also the whole Witch system the Incubators have used (that involve Puella Magi and despair), harvesting their energy to stave off heat death of the universe; they're doing right in the worst way possible.
  • While he doesn't support extremists in the House of Nature, Max can somewhat understand their position, given Devoid was also fighting on behalf of nature spirits that have suffered at the hands of humanity long ago. As someone with the ability to purify nature spirits of their corruption, he's gained an ally in Korra (plus her Team Avatar) who has learned such abilities as well, and an enemy in Unalaq for his nefarious plot, as well as corrupting spirits as Devoid once did in their grief and for siding with Korra. Max also came to realize that unlike Devoid, Vaatu is an actively malicious spirit. Speaking of purification, there's also the matter of the Batter, who is also well-versed in that particular art. That said, his different moral compass, as well as the opinions from the Magical Girl Sisterhood ensure that Max does not let his guard down around the monstrous duck.

  • Mai was born Mai Hazuki, heir of one of the the Duodecim noble families just like Jin and Tsubaki. A week prior to enrolling in the military academy, she was changed from a boy to a girl by a grimoire, and unable to change back, was send by her father to the academy under an alias. There, she becomes the classmate and friend of Noel Vermillion, Makoto Nanaya, Tsubaki Yayoi, and Kajun Faycott. While initially sheltered and timid, as well as uncomfortable with her new gender, Mai eventually learned to open up to others and become more self-confident. She even starts to enjoy her new life as a girl after seeing how much freedom she had compared to her life as heir to the Hazuki family, and even falls in love with a male classmate. While her friends do eventually find out her secret, they still accept her for who she is and Mai soon comes to fully accept her change in life, seeing herself as a girl and deciding live life as a woman. After leaving the academy, she comes to join Sector Seven and work under Professor Kokonoe alongside Kajun.
  • The Court of the Gods read her case and offered Mai a position in the Pantheon as the Goddess of Accepting her New Gender. Mai accepted upon learning her friends were in the Pantheon, and a happy reunion ensued between her, Noel, Makoto, and Tsubaki. Mai also got to meet the other gods who participated in the Cross Tag Battle tournament, such as Mitsuru, Chie, and Ruby.
    • She was eager to eat Noel's cooking to celebrate her ascension. Because the grimoire gave her "Super Taste", Mai is the only one who can eat Noel's cooking, because her enhanced taste buds prevent her from enjoying normal food. Mai is able to taste the good feelings Noel put into her cooking, so it's the only food she can eat. Makoto and Tsubaki are at the very least grateful they have a valid excuse not to eat Noel's food.
      • The girls on the Investigation Team (except for Naoto) were also infamous for being Lethal Chefs, but their Mystery Food X is also edible to Mai. When Teddie tried using it against her, it only ended up healing her. Rise, Chie, and Yukiko said they would have gladly served their food to her if they had before sometime during their journey. Chie also likes to spar alongside Mai every now and then.
    • Makoto and Mai are Friendly Rivals, praising each over their their improved skills during their spars. Makoto also likes to get physically close to Mai, much to the latter's embarrassment.
    • She had crossed paths with Ragna the Bloodedge twice, the first during her days as an academy student (albeit not knowing who he was nor the fact he had the Azure Grimoire she and her friends were looking for), the second when she fought against him to protect Bell. Both times they did work together during their meetings, though Ragna had forgotten meeting her when they met a second time. They finally meet again in the Pantheon, this time on better terms now after Mai learned of his struggles in their world and seeing how much he's changed as the person (She outright stated once she could tell he's not a bad person despite fighting him to protect Bell, which is why she came to his rescue). Mai also learned that he's Noel's big brother, and is happy at the least Noel has a big brother she can count on.
    • She's one of the few people Jin Kisaragi treats kindly. Whenever they're fighting together, he compliments her on her skills, and she returns the favor. She's also quite surprised to learn that Jin and Ragna are brothers, and while concerned when she heard about their relationship, is at least happy to know they're on better terms.
      • Mai is one of the few who ships her friend Tsubaki with Jin. She recalls the time she tried to help Tsubaki win the position the position of Izanami during the Torifune festival so she can be alongside Jin, only for Tsubaki to ask her not to do it again.
    • Relius Clover is one the few people Mai has outright contempt for, considering how he treats people as objects. She was treated as an object once due to the grimoire fusing with her body, so Relius' atrocities are very personal to her. She's also horrified to learn that his son Carl is starting to follow in his footsteps, unable to recognize him from the same sweet boy she met in the academy all those years ago. Mai wants to save Carl from himself before he crosses the point of no return.
    • Soon got to reunite with Ruby Rose, who just like before, was excited to see her weapon and examine it. Though unlike before, Ruby has grown more mature and calm, and both she and Mai already gotten to enjoy fighting together. Mai also met Ruby's teammates, as well as the members of Team JNPR, coming to befriend them all, especially Pyrhha Nikos due to how the two of them formed friendships that helped them to open up to people.
    • Hyde Kido proved himself to be a good partner towards Mai during the Cross Tag Battle tournament. While Hyde did underestimate her strength initially, he did apologize for it once Mai proved herself. Mai also got to meet some of Hyde's other friends, such as Orie Ballardiae (who reminds her of Tsubaki) and Vatista (whose personality as an Emotionless Girl reminds her of Bell), quickly becoming friends with them as well.
  • Cu Chulainn was greatly interested in Mai's spear due to how much it resembles Gae Bolg. He is also fascinated by how Mai can alter the trajectory of the spear, to the point he has challenged Mai to battle to see which of their spears is better. Mai does accept these challenges, though is put off by how he teases her sometimes.
  • Mai has met other gods that underwent Gender Bender just like her, including:
    • Yuuta and Yui had swapped bodies as children, and it took them 8 years before they could accept their circumstances and become a couple. Mai greatly sympathizes with their pain of having to pretend to be someone else and the effects it had on their personal identity, and admits that if she didn't have her friends, she might have ended up miserable like they did in the alternate timeline.
    • Mizuki Suzuhiro was unexpectedly changed into a girl just like her, but eventually grew to like it, especially after falling in love with a male friend. Unsurprisingly, Mai and Mizuki get along very well, with the former helping her to adjust to the change while Mizuki ships Mai with Taro and hopes they can become a couple just like her and Takeru.
    • Ranma Saotome can switch between his male and female forms, though he clearly has mixed feelings and has wanted to get rid of his curse entirely. While Mai does offer try to comfort Ranma, Ranma has been unconformfortable on the subject.
    • There are also gods that undergo a Super Gender-Bender when they prepare for battle:
      • Natsuru Senou's female form is attractive enough to get the attention of both the boys and the girls, though Natsuru isn't comfortable with all this attention, nor the fact that most people tend to acknowledge him for his female form only. Mai admits she understands the identity crisis, since she was worried about losing what made her Mai before she came to accept it.
      • Souji Mitsuka's Tail Red form gets a lot of attention from everybody for being cute, something that does embarrass Souji but he doesn't make a big deal of now. Mai gets along with Souji well, though she is flabbergasted by his fetish towards twin tails and was also surprised he had didn't have too much of the awkwardness that came from first transforming (not counting the time he turned into Sora Mitsuka).
      • Souta Kishibe can become a Magical Girl named La Pucelle, which was a dream come true to him since he always admired Magical Girls. While there was awkwardness upon his first transformation, he embraced his role as a Magical Girl and vowed to become strong enough to protect Snow White, which sadly was cut short upon his death. Mai struck up a fast friendship with Souta, and sympathized with him over how his life was cut short after just becoming a Magical Girl and meeting his childhood friend again.
  • Became fast friends with Mai Shiranui, who shares both her first name and for also being Ms. Fanservice personified. The fact that Mai Natsume was originally male doesn't bother Shiranui at all, and in fact she acts like a Cool Big Sis for Natsume while also acting as a source of encouragement.
  • Mai is nervous around Merkava for feeding on people, yet also sympathetic towards him when she learns that he was formerly a man and is driven by Horror Hunger. Merkava in turn shows sympathy for Mai to the conflict between her body and soul (A former boy turned into girl), even when she denies it and tells Merkava she's happy with the person she is.
  • Due to Mai's status as a Remix Heart, she was almost turned into an Crimson Grimoire, which was first developed by Nine the Phantom. Nine apologizes to Mai for how she was almost used as a resource to create the grimoire, admitting she had to deal with Celica treated as an object all the time. She also doesn't mind Mai being formerly male at all, despite her usual dislike of men, since Mai has the heart of a girl.
    • Mai quickly came to befriend Nine's younger sister Celica, with the two coming to an understanding of what it is like to be seen as an object, yet still had people who can count on them and care for them as people. Mai tends to hang out with Celica just as much as her friends.
    • Mai once worked under Kokonoe alongside her friend Kajun. While she stopped working for Kokonoe, she still had a good relationship with her, though in the Pantheon, she did express disappointment with some of Kokonoe's actions, especially those involving Litchi. Still, since Litchi now has a happier time in the Pantheon and Kokonoe has tone down some of her antagonism, Mai is still willing to help Kokonoe whenever she asks for it.
  • Mai's spear is a known Immortal Breaker, designed to kill immortal beings by imposing the concept of death on their minds. Because of this, immortal enemies keep their guard up around her, especially Zamasu and Toffee, since they both relied exclusively on immortality in battle and have no means to protect themselves against it.

    Poison
"Can't start the show without the star, right?"

Poison, Goddess of Regional Gender Changes (Toxic Rose, Graceful, Sexy & Cool)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/poison_sfiv.png
Poison's classic design
Poison in Street Fighter V
  • Lesser Goddess
  • Symbol: A whip encircling her hat
  • Theme Song: Toxic Beauty*, Move Over*; Erm.. Is she pleased to see you?* in non-action scenes
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  • Portfolio: '80s Hair, Gender Differences Overseas, Wielding a Riding Crop and a Whip, Fighting in Heels, Not-so-Pleasant American, Ascended Extra, Dominating Aesthetics
  • Domains: Gender, Wrestling, Street Fighting, Charm, Chaos
  • Heralds: Roxy, Hugo Andore (her wrestling employee)
  • High Priestess: Birdo
  • Allies: Mike Haggar, André the Giant, various deities from the House of Lustful Acts and Lustful Behavior, Yubel, Kuroumaru Tokisaki, Bridget
  • Rivals: King II, Cody Travers, Alex (friendly), Juri, AJ Lee, Simon Belmont, Jaycee, Jax Briggs, Zangief
  • Opposes: Corset
  • Pities: Crona
  • A former member of the Mad Gear crime gang turned wrestler and manager who sees golden opportunity for profit in many things, Poison is actually more well-known for the confusing range of stories regarding her gender over the years as well as the over-the-top bombastic sexiness she carries herself with. Before anyone asks what the heck is going on, she points to a documentary at the front of her door to give a better summary to her history.
  • Ascended after she, and her partner Hugo, went toward the source of Pandora's Box, defeating Ogre while doing so. They were only doing it to get the media attention surrounding the box, but Poison realized that just by going through all of the trouble in finding the box, it meant that any obstacles faced in the future would be easy. Thus she found her way to the Pantheon, hoping that Hugo will come soon.
    • The two soon found themselves in a certain fighting game tournament, with Poison entering for the first time ever. The two were thankful to the fans that got them the attention to enter.
    • Lost her Attractive Bent-Gender due to now officially being female pre-op. She's still a transexual in Japan and thus managed to keep that trope.
  • Is the manager of the Huge Wrestling Academy and goes to the House of Combat to see if she can find new wrestlers for her group. She hasn't forgiven King II for giving Hugo the Mighty Swing, though.
    • Met up with Mike Haggar and told him that she's no longer affiliated with gangs and is now focused on getting famous. Haggar was happy to hear that, but is keeping an eye on her just in case.
    • She's gotten into a feud with AJ Lee, and is one of the few gods who is willing to call her crazy in front of her face. Gods and mortals alike have been warned to vacate the area when that happens as the wrestlers leave widespread destruction in their wake.
  • Her relationship with Cody is a bit rougher on the edges. The handcuffed god still holds resentment over her involvement in the kidnapping of his girlfriend Jessica, not to mention the flirting had turned him off. Still the two are inching closer to burying the hatchet.
  • Unsurprisingly has a soft spot for André the Giant. This probably is because he was the inspiration for Hugo and the rest of the Andore family, and also for his heart-breaking struggle with gigantism and death from it (dying in his sleep while attending his own father's funeral). Poison was glad that Hugo became his follower, because that means she can see him whenever she wants. Some say the two are plotting to ascend The Big Show. That in turn would give Hugo the more glamorous spot of High Priest.
    • She's surprised to find that André's godchild is Luna Vachon in the House of Vampires and learned that Luna wasn't like the normal female wrestlers in the Pantheon. Poison felt pity for her too since Luna struggled with bipolar disorder before dying of a drug overdose, and then having her buried in the same plot of field as her own godfather. Luna was happy to have company, and her (ex-)husband Gangrel has shown to be very interesting to fight against. The only thing that she's really unsure of is how Luna Vachon and Gangrel became babysitters to The Cutie Mark Crusaders of all things (Luna tells her that It's a Long Story, a very long story).
  • Now that Alex has ascended, she hopes to book a rematch between him and Hugo in the ring. Vince McMahon has yet to confirm a matchup.
  • Many gods are more than willing to hook up with her despite her ambiguous nature, to which she goes along with the flow, teasing suitors enough to keep them wanting for more.
    • She's especially popular in the House of Lust, where deities such as Bond, Charlie Harper and Mad Moxxi all have a go at her. However, they have all taken an oath to keep the true nature of her gender a secret.
  • Is not a fan of Corset or his version of BDSM, citing that he gives bondage a bad name. That and she claims he doesn't make his corset fashionable.
  • She may like Juri's style, but not her involvement with Seth or her excessive brutality. However, Poison does understand why she does such things; M. Bison has ruined many lives, forcing many to go into extremes to get their revenge on him.
  • Sympathizes with the one deity who has even arguments over his/her gender. At least she can identify herself as a transexual, Crono doesn't even have that luxury.
  • Is amused with the existence of Yubel, who claims to be both male and female. The mis-translation of their genders led to a strangely strong bond. She even helped Yubel find a documentary regarding these gender issues.
  • Tried to become the Goddess of Riding Crops as well, but that domain proved to small for a title. Most of those followers belong to Simon Belmont, God of Whips. Her attempts to charm him out of those followers have so far failed.
  • When a mysterious new masked wrestler appeared in the Pantheon Wrestling Federation, Poison decided to start a feud with the woman. The two have several matches under their belts, with each claiming victories. Poison has been casually trying to guess the identity of this woman with little success.
    • Speaking of wrestlers, she had no idea what to think of newcomer Bayley who introduced herself to Poison with a hug. Poison feels that Bayley's positive attitude is bit too much, but she is still curious as to whether or not Bayley's the masked wrestler (as Bayley once went under the name "Luchadora"). That said, even she thinks that Bayley turning Heel to side with her "friend" Sasha Banks is a pretty low move.
  • Once trained Hugo to battle Zangief, God of Spinning Pile-Drivers. Ultimately the Russian Cyclone won the feud, but the two don't hold any grudges over it… at least outside the ring. Come wrestling time, they're still bitter over the loss.
  • Jax has expressed disapproval over her previous actions and is still not sure to trust her. He even refused to take part of a feud against her and Hugo. Poison isn't too upset over it, knowing it will take a while for some to forgive her.
  • Was once asked by Nanako Dojima — who share similar voices — whether she was a girl or a boy. Poison just patted Nanako's head and answered, "I'm just like you, kid" which was good enough for her. Poison has threatened to whip anyone to death if they brought up this soft side again.

    Ranma Saotome

  • Ranma Saotome was born as the heir to the Anything Goes Martial Arts, a school of martial arts that focuses on using any techniques and tactics, no matter how disparate or dirty they are. Ever since he was little, he traveled on the open road across Japan with his father, who drilled into him the importance of being as manly as possible. One day, they went to an infamous training ground in China named Jusenkyo to spar. What the two didn't know is that the hot springs there were cursed and that anyone who fell in them would turn into the form of the first being to drown in them. During their fight, Ranma fell into the Spring of the Drowned Girl, turning him into a lovely young girl, much to his horror. Thankfully, the change wasn't permanent, but from now on he would turn into a girl whenever soaked by cold water, and back into a boy when touching hot water. Before they could find a way to cure themselves, their father dragged them back to Japan so that they could be wed to one of the daughters of Soun Tendo, the older man's old friend and fellow disciple. And so started a life full of weird, romantic, and life-threatening hijinks.
  • Due to disliking his gender-bending curse, Ranma wasn't especially happy about the position given to him, but all attempts to cure his condition or to give the title to one of his followers met with failure, as much of his life since acquiring his condition has turned around it. Anyway, he has gotten used to his transformations and his title, even if he is very annoyed that nothing in the whole Pantheon can manage to get him rid of it.
    • However, after impressing a lot of deities in the House of Combat with his fighting style that incorporated a lot of knowledge from non-martial skills such as gymnastics and a lot of negotiation, he was able to receive the position of representing Martial Arts Based on Non-Fighting Activities, as he had to fight a lot of people that used such martial arts and managed to learn them all. He would prefer to simply be the god(dess) of that, but at least he has something better to take claim to.
  • Needless to say, he was greatly annoyed that the one person from his world that managed to ascend after him was Tatewaki Kuno, the thoroughly outclassed rival of his male form and the self-declared 'destined love' of his female form. While he actually doesn't mind the almost daily challenges he receives from the easily-dispatched kendo practitioner, he is greatly annoyed by his obsessive love for the 'Pig-Tailed Girl'. Any beatdown or rejections 'she' gives to him is completely useless on the stupid self-proclaimed samurai, much to his frustation. That said, this doesn't stop 'her' from using her charms to sucker the guy into doing things for her when she feels she need to.
  • Ranma is on pretty good terms with Naruto Uzumaki and Nanoha simply because he believes in making friends through fighting people like they do and gets very angry when the one he loves is in serious danger. Though it has been pointed that a lot of his 'friends' are still jerks that don't hesitate when screwing him over, and he returns the favor right back. That said since Naruto and Nanoha are a lot nicer than most of the people back in his world, he still gets along well with them.
  • Ranma is renowned for his ability to learn and adapt virtually any fighting style, and naturally wants to continue to get better even in the Pantheon. As such, this has led to meeting many other martial artists. Upon seeing Po practicing, he at first wondered if it was his father in his own cursed form. He was pleasantly surprised to learn that Po was a more serious and kinder martial artist, and the two have been sparing sometimes.
    • Another time, while in girl form, she happened to meet another martial artist by the name of Tenko Chabashira, whose Neo-Aikido was as about as versatile and pragmatic as the Go-Anything School of martial arts. Curious, she challenged said girl to a friendly sparring match, which she ended up winning. Despite it, the Aikido Practitioner was just glad she got to meet such an awesome fighter. At first, Ranma thought she had met a new friend... until a sudden splash of hot water turned her back into his male form, freaking Tenko out. After an explanation, the misandrist young woman was very ashamed that she lost against a deceptive 'degenerate male' and swore that she would one day become stronger than him and make him pay. The encounter left him pretty bummed, especially since the Ultimate reminded him of Akane Tendo, his reluctant fiancee back home.
  • That said, he also has a crippling weakness in his fear of cats, which of course means he avoids the House of Felines like it's Hell itself. Catwoman's various suits also freak him out a bit. But any attempts to take advantage of that fear are undermined by the fact that if he gets scared by felines beyond reason, his mind is liable to turn into that of a feral cat, causing him to turn into a wild berserker that does whatever it pleases. So far, the only way to get him back from this to his normal state is by being comforted by someone he cares about or by someone good with animals, such as Fluttershy. While she finds it a shame that he fears cats so much and he's embarrassed that he has to be taken care of by a feminine and delicate pony of all people, she's still happy to do it. Though secretly, she's a bit curious about the fact that he looks just like a humanized version of one of the wooden props she used for Nightmare Night.
    • The first time this Cat's Fist 'Technique' was used in the Pantheon was by the actions of Tai Lung. The arrogant snow leopard scoffed at the prospect that a martial artist could have such a stupid weakness, and decided to teach him a lesson about what a warrior was like. At first, things went swimmingly for the kung-fu master as he managed to make Ranma flee all over the place without even touching him. But then, at a speed that was almost blinding, Tai Lung ended up beaten up and scratched on the floor before the feline-crazed teenager started to rampage around the Pantheon. Much chaos ensued until somebody had the idea of calling on Fluttershy's animal expertise, and the wannabe Dragon Warrior swore that he would get revenge for this humiliation. Since this accident, even evil feline deities such as Katz or Claudandus to be wary about provoking him, though they're interested in somehow making the Cat's Fist state of mind somehow permanent.
    • Of course, this hasn't stopped the less intelligent from trying to attack him. As such, he was one day pursued relentlessly by the borderline-psychotic leopard named Sabor while screaming in pure fear. However, before he could get scared into the Cat's Fist, an old woman called Nana intercepted the 'bad kitty' and beat it up thoroughly. Rather than being completely thankful, however, Ranma was just completely ashamed that he had to be saved by a little old lady of all people.
  • Ranma was less than thrilled to meet Momo Karuizi since she sounds and acts like Shampoo, one of his most persistent and obsessive suitors back home. Though her tennis-based fighting skills could be interested, he does his best to avoid the smaller girl.
  • Would rather not entertain the thought of being subjected to a Mode Lock in hir cursed form for good. Despite being comfortable enough with being a girl most of the time and enjoying many of the benefits that come with it, he still fully identifies as a guy. That said, Ranma is indeed aware of how many of his followers have thought about what could happen if the possibility arose, and doesn't enjoy it a single bit. Eventually, he found a person that shares the same woes as he does in the form of the demon Overlord Laharl. While the latter changes into his female form much less frequently, he hates it possibly even more than Ranma does, leading to a mutual understanding.
    • Though Natsuru Sennou can change his gender at will and doing so gives him awesome powers, he and Ranma share the misfortune of getting way too much romantic attention from many girls while they just want a calm life, and so greatly empathizes with each other. While Souji Mitsuka of the Twintails Warriors is in a similar position, Ranma found himself weirded out upon hearing his first rant about the greatness of twintails. Though the martial artist recognizes that his fetish is basically harmless compared to the numerous perverts back in his homeworld, and so the two still managed to become friends. He was completely flabbergasted, however, when he met Souta Kishibe and learned that he actually likes his girl form, if only due to his love of magical girls. That said, he does still enjoy sparring with La Pucelle.
    • On the other hand, while they're both fellow fighters that he could no doubt learn a lot from, he avoids Mai Natsume and Mizuki Suzushiro, as the thought that they completely embraced their new genders and abandoned their maleness completely abhorrent. They personally would like to befriend and help him with his condition, but that's not happening anytime soon.
    • Upon hearing about how Yuuta Kimura and Yui Ootsuka were met with a lot more hardship than he ever did due to their gender changes, he couldn't help but feel bad for the couple. Still, much like with Mizuki and Mai, he tends to avoid them as he finds the prospect of being stuck in a different gender for all of one's life to be completely horrifying.
  • His rivals and fiancee have a strong tendency to find various items to try to force the target of their affection into loving them, and so Ranma has naturally developed a wariness towards love potions and other means to control minds or feelings. So naturally, she is rather suspicious of Urd, who often create love potions as a goddess of love and try to 'help' people with them. But she is even warier of The Fairy Godmother, who has little to no morals when using such things. After he heard about Kuno beginning to work with her for some reason, he has been careful about anything he eats.
  • If there's one glaring fault about Ranma, it's his absurdly high pride in himself. Not only is he very proud of his fighting abilities and tends to get highly competitive with any fellow practitioner of martial arts, especially if they've already beaten him once. For example, in a great pantheon-wide tournament where he happened to be pitted against Kenichi Shirahama and lose. This has caused him to frequently ask for a rematch from the other martial artist, though their rivalry is a mostly friendly one.
    • His feelings about the so-called Chosen One as a competitor are rather... mixed. On the other hand, while he's confused by both the guy being even crazier than all the people back in Nerima and being somehow a white guy born from asian parents, he actually is fairly impressed with his effective if very odd fighting skill. On the other hand, it's one of the few styles he wouldn't even dream of adding to the Anything Go School. Nunchucks made out of gophers are just too much for him.
    • What's odder is his pride in his female form's beauty and ability to attract people, which makes him tends to openly brag about it and get very riled up when 'her' looks are insulted, sometimes even making her rush into trouble to prove her beauty. This attitude has resulted in her getting the ire of the Evil Queen, who is infuriated by the notion that a gender-bent male could even pretend to be more beautiful than she is.
  • Despite the fact that he dislikes his transformation, he has very little qualms in using his appearance as a woman to get favors from men that are weak to female charm, whether it's to accomplish any goals he has or just to get a free meal. Even putting on sexier outfits when he thinks it would work comes rather naturally to the pig-tailed martial artist. On one such day when she was trying to sucker some rich guy into buying her expensive food, it turned out that Faye Valentine was also trying to use her good looks to pull a scam on the same target. While they were at first surprised by their similar voices, the situation soon devolved into a battle of seduction as the two competed fiercely to get the intended victim to favor one of them. Eventually, they were so much focused on this silly battle that the guy left without giving either of them anything, but they still tend to get fiercely competitive when their scams interfere with each other.
  • He's been interested in getting training from martial art teachers within the Pantheon to better his fighting abilities. However, his attempt to go to Master Roshi quickly went awry when the perverted old man asked to see his female form's breasts, which resulted in the turtle hermit being punched into the sky. Though he's much less nefarious than Happosai, Ranma can't help but be reminded of the dirty elderly martial artist from his own world and so greatly dislike him. His meeting with Gouken went much better, however, and so he has begun to try learning the Ansatsuken.
    • Another more fruitful attempt as been when he was made to attend one of Mr. Champloo's cooking class in the Elysium Academy. He was pleasantly surprised to see that such 'cooking' was much more focused on martial arts. And so, though he finds the demon teacher's exageredly hot-bloodness annoying at time, he has begun to regularly attend his lessons to learn more about his fighting style, even if they are very, very odd.
  • Was at first nervous upon seeing Lum, his fellow creation of Rumiko Takahashi, as her appearance and numerous of her characteristics reminded her of Shampoo, the Chinese Amazon that is his self-proclaimed and very possessive fiancee back in his world. And so, he curiously visited her temple where he saw her often shock her herald and love interest Ataru Moroboshi by often shocking him. And so the martial artist tried to help the latter but was unfortunately in his female form at the time. This led to Ataru trying to jump on her and being punished by both a mighty punch and the usual electrocution.

Demigods

    Lady Oscar
Oscar François de Jarjayes, Goddess Who Was Raised as the Opposite Gender

  • Demigoddess
  • Symbol: Roses and her family crest (a blue lion holding a sword)
  • Theme Song: "Bara wa Utsukushiku Chiru"
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: A woman raised as a man, incredibly skilled and competent among her peers, snow-covered volcano, tragic rose imagery, so many roses, loves André, a commoner and childhood friend, contracted tuberculosis (though it's not what kills her)
  • Domains: Gender, Aristocracy, the Military, Revolution, Tragedy
  • Herald: André Grandier
  • Allies: Marie Antoinette, Jean Valjean, Jeanne d'Arc, Utena Tenjou, Sarasa, Mulan, Lucina, Artoria Pendragon/Saber, Naoto Shirogane, Charles-Henri Sanson, Isabeau, Souji Okita, Le Chevalier d'Eon
  • Enemies: Marie Antoinette's enemies, abusive nobles
  • Respected by: Emperor Calus
  • Oscar is a French noblewoman born in 1755 to the Jarjayes family. Her father only had daughters and was frustrated by the lack of a son to follow in his footsteps in the military, so he decided to raise his youngest as a man. Oscar proved herself talented with the sword, horse-riding and other masculine pursuits, and so was appointed to the Royal Guards at the age of 14. This was when Marie Antoinette arrived in France; Oscar soon became a favorite and confidante of the future queen. Nonetheless, these were the years leading up to the French Revolution. Oscar witnessed the Versailles court's shallowness and petty intrigues, as well as the commoners' abject misery and increasing rage. Despite her own noble birth, she found herself sympathizing more and more with the commoners' plight, culminating in her leading the French Guards in storming the Bastille, whereupon she succumbed to gunshot wounds one hour before its fall.
  • Her choice of Herald didn't require much thought at all; she practically demanded that it be André, the grandson of Oscar's nanny and an inseparable companion to Oscar. They grew up together and friendship turned to love as they became adults, though hampered by the fact that André was a commoner and Oscar was Oblivious to Love, not to mention her gender issues made romance into a complicated subject for her. Still, the two worked through those problems and proclaimed their love for each other... two days before the storming of the Bastille. André was killed the next day, and as Oscar lost her will to live, she followed shortly at the Bastille. But now that they're in the Pantheon, they can be happy and live as husband and wife without worrying about any societal norms, or Oscar's tuberculosis, or André's near-blindness (both were completely healed upon ascension).
  • Soon knew that Marie Antoinette was in the Pantheon, but hesitated to go see her due to her role in the French Revolution and their bitter final meeting. Marie herself had also heard of Oscar's ascension and was saddened that her closest and wisest confidante was avoiding her, and so made it a point to be the one to reach out to her (given she is technically no longer a queen and thus can't just send a summons to Oscar). Marie assured that she didn't blame Oscar for anything and both of them only did what they thought was right for France, and she only wanted to be friends with Oscar again. Oscar has always known that Marie is fundamentally a good person who was tethered by her position as queen. She affirmed that she has always been loyal to Marie as a friend and the two reconciled. Oscar hopes Marie has found the happiness in the Pantheon that she didn't have when she was queen. More than that, she seems determined to protect her and her family from those who would harrass them.
  • Reading up on the history of France post-1789 was a bittersweet experience for her as she came to learn of the intense bloodshed that ensued in the Reign of Terror and how in all the attempts to establish a republic, there were some occasions where progress just "walked back" with events like the First French Empire, the Bourbon Restoration or the July Monarchy. At the same time she also learned of some deities who were present for those troubled times. That is how she came to meet Jean Valjean, whose experiences she was interested in hearing about. Jean, who dislikes the police, was slightly suspicious of her due to her past as a French Guard, but thought she seemed like a very sharp yet honest person and she's close to Marie Antoinette, who has proved helpful to Jean. Oscar was outraged to hear about the heavy penalty he faced for stealing a loaf of bread and overall understood that things in Jean's time were about as terrible for the common folk as in hers.
  • When it comes to Charles-Henri Sanson, an executioner who was much feared before and during the Revolution, they are not exactly close. However Oscar seems to have a neutral-to-positive opinion on him, regarding him as a man who was just doing his job, regardless of how unsavory it was. Sanson may have a bad reputation as an "angel of death", but he was no sadist, and supported the guillotine as a quick and painless execution method. Ultimately, Oscar respects him, which is mutual on Sanson's end and given they are both on Marie Antoinette's side, they're more likely to be allies than not.
  • Oscar occasionally catches a glimpse of the mysterious Chevalier d'Eon, a spy and dragoon who mainly served Louis XV. Oscar and the Chevalier are easily compared, given the Chevalier was famous for their sexual ambiguity. Ironically, if one goes by the timeline, Oscar would have entered into service not too long after the Chevalier was sent into exile. For now, the Chevalier has pledged loyalty to Marie Antoinette, so they are at least nominal allies wth Oscar. There hasn't been an opportunity for much else given the Chevalier always seem to be on some secret mission or another, even though Oscar is curious to talk to them.
  • She was paid a visit by none other than Jeanne d'Arc, who had been eager to meet Oscar ever since hearing about her and tell her how proud she was of her for her contributions to their country. Oscar was, needless to say, pleasantly surprised and deeply honored to be bestowed such compliments by the Maid of Orleans herself. In the ensuing conversation, Oscar learned about the Holy Grail War, which Jeanne sometimes finds herself involved in as a Ruler after her death. Obviously it was all very strange, not to mention dangerous-sounding, to Oscar, though she supposes that in a place like the Pantheon, all manner of bizarre things that would've been impossible in her mortal life will become commonplace sights. She'll just make sure that she, André and her friends remain safe.
    • Jeanne also took the initiative to introduce her to her friend Artoria Pendragon. Oscar never would have guessed that England's mythical king was actually a woman (though it's more complicated than that, as Jeanne explained). Despite the frequent tensions between their respective countries, both Oscar and Artoria admire each other for being brave and noble warriors full of integrity, while also understanding each other's well-hidden grief at having to deny their more feminine inclinations.
  • Many, many women in the Pantheon look up to Oscar. She's an icon among LGBT deities and plenty of women find her attractive regardless of sexuality. Oscar is used to such attention and shrugs it off. Other women just admire her confidence in taking on a traditionally masculine role, especially at a time when such roles were very strictly divided. There are a lot of female deities who have had to behave like men, or even masquerade as them, for some reason or another; such deities include Sarasa, Mulan, Lucina and Naoto Shirogane. On some level, Oscar is held up as the "greatest" of them, given she pulled it off all her life, though Oscar is very humble about it.
  • Oscar's ascension ended the rumor that Utena Tenjou was supposedly her incarnation. Utena has never cared for that rumor either way, but still went to meet this woman she has been so often compared to and challenged her to a sword fight. As it turns out, Utena may have Implausible Fencing Powers, but Oscar has greater experience and a cooler head and so beat Utena. Despite Utena's relative immaturity, Oscar developed a good opinion of the girl from their fight and likes her spirit. Ever since then, Utena looks to Oscar as a Cool Big Sis, going to her for advice on various things and to train her swordfighting.
  • Utena also told Oscar about a girl who asked for her autograph back when Oscar wasn't ascended yet, so Utena ended up giving her own. She forgot the girl's name, though it was definitely something French-sounding. Oscar didn't have to think about it that long, as a samurai called Flynn soon showed up to politely ask her for an autograph for his friend Isabeau, who was a huge fan of The Rose of Versailles and Oscar. Utena remarked that this was just how it went last time, so Oscar instead refused and invited Flynn and Isabeau to a ball hosted by Marie Antoinette, to give Isabeau the opportunity to meet her in person (and frankly if she is going to give someone her signature, she'd like to know they are a good person first). Even though Isabeau was so nervous about metting her idol, she could die, she ended up having a good time, which was helped by the fact that Oscar danced with her, something she rarely does. In the end, Isabeau got her autograph and is pretty solidly one of her fangirls.
  • Oscar contracted tuberculosis later in life and would have died from it for certain, were it not for her involvement in the Revolution which cut her life even shorter. Souji Okita is likewise a samurai who fought for his country, but died at a young age from the same disease. The two appear to regard each other highly as warriors despite their wildly different cultural contexts (what with living on the other side of the world from each other). Souji seems both admiring and slightly jealous that Oscar was able to die in the middle of battle, whereas he couldn't do the same. He would like to duel her sometime.
  • Oscar's role in helping downtrodden commoners overthrow a tyrannical and exploitative regime has gotten her the approval from an alien known as Emperor Calus, who also started a rebellion that overthrew the dictatorial regime in his planet and encouraged the freed population to seek out happiness and pleasure. While Oscar sees the similarities, Calus is also known to do some things that are too ruthless for Oscar's taste, so she hasn't really approached him as a friend, though neither has she any reason to outright antagonize him, so she doesn't.

    Mizuki Suzushiro and Takeru Ichimonji
Mizuki Suzushiro and Takeru Ichimonji, Divine Couple of Romance After Gender Bending (Takeru: Mr. Gorilla)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/6445.jpg
Mizuki with middle length hair

  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Domains: Childhood Friends who became romantically involved after Mizuki's gender was switched, Large guy and small girl pairing, Formerly a manly guy and sensitive guy duo, Very nice people, Tends to have lewd fantasies , Strongly resembling their respective parents, Official Couple
  • Domains: Gender, Love, Change, Realization
  • Herald: Yumeko Fujiwara
  • Allies: Loki, Thor, Odin, Alm and Celica, Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie, Kanji Tatsumi, Naoto Shirogane, The Villager, Tippi, Noel Vermillion, Tsubaki Yayoi, Makoto Nanaya,Yuya Sakaki and Yuzu Hiragi, Chihiro Fujisaki
  • Enemies: The Terraformars, The Crimson Court, Stratos
  • Pities: Scarlett O'Hara, Robert I Baratheon (Mizuki only)
  • Opposed by: Segata Sanshiro (Takeru only)
  • Mizuki and Takeru were two male high school students who have been closer than brothers ever since they were kids. Things may have stayed that way forever if an utterly bored Loki, who bore the appearance of a young girl, didn't become interested in the very feminine Mizuki and messing with his life. The Norse deity transformed Mizuki into a girl. Takeru found himself attracted to his now female childhood friend, a fact which he was very conflicted about and did his best to suppress. Things became only more complicated when Mizuki began to also feel attracted to Takeru, causing her to outright go in denial. Several months of complicated teenage drama and self-discovery ensued, which concluded with Loki giving a choice to Mizuki: stay as a girl forever or go back to being a girl. Mizuki realized she was far happier as a girl, and so chose to stay that way. Soon after this, she confessed to Takeru and the two officially became a couple.
  • After returning to the Pantheon from this escapade, Loki actually found themselves missing the two, who they grew attached too. So when they left that world, they made sure to 'accidentally' leave the portal open between the Pantheon and it, ensuring that the couple would stumble into it. The confused teenagers were soon welcomed by some understanding deities who, after looking at their history, proposed to the court they ascend as representative of Romance After Gender Bending.
  • Naturally, Loki often hangs out with Mizuki and 'Mr. Gorilla' in female form, mostly to mess with the couple they kinda sorta set up. To say the two are conflicted about what she did would be an understatement (especially since Takeru didn't learn she was responsible for Mizuki's change until he entered the Pantheon) but they do see her as a friend if a really annoying one. Mizuki is even ultimately grateful to Loki for helping her realize what she wanted to be. The latter's response to that gratitude is typically to blush, avert eye contact and say that it's not like she did that for anything but to have fun. Nevertheless, the God of Trickery is very protective against anyone else who would mess with the two.
  • Odin and Thor went over to them to apologize for the trouble Loki put them trough. Again, Mizuki had to reassure them that while it was indeed a very harrowing experience at first, she's very happy with the change now. Though she was confused by the fact that Thor was much bigger than the first time she met him. The God of Thunder sheepishly replied that this was a 'slow day' for him. After this meeting, the two Norse gods decided to let Loki continue to have fun with Mizuki and Takeru because the couple seems to be a positive influence on her.
  • Tough their circumstances are a fair bit odder than most, they relate to and get along well with other pairs of childhood friends who became romantically involved, like Alm and Celica or Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie. Takeru and Nora particularly empathize about being unable to confess their feelings for their respective best friends for a long time. They also get along well with another childhood friend couple, Yuya Sakaki and Yuzu Hiiragi, who even though they themselves haven't gone past just friendship yet, do support Mizuki and Takeru in theirs.
  • Because of father's strict upbringing, Mizuki had for the longest time a complex about being seen as masculine, which led to her being ashamed of her more feminine interests like plushies and women's clothing. She formed a friendship with Kanji Tatsumi, who had to deal with similar problems. The latter is more than happy to make stuffed animals for her. Mizuki similarly gets along well with Naoto Shirogane since much like her, she felt ashamed of her feminine qualities due to her family heritage and upbringing. Takeru also likes hanging out with Kanjiand is trying to encourage him to confess his feelings to Naoto. As an aside, Mizuki finds Teddie absolutely adorable, but any attempt by the bear to 'score' with her has been met with a sharp glare from Takeru
  • Due to sharing their respective hobbies of bug catching and fishing, the Villager like hanging out and visiting the more nature-filled parts of the Pantheon with the couple. Some passerby deities have noted that it makes them look like a happy family, much t the embarrassment of the two teenagers.
  • They seem to have a strangely high tolerance for Aikuro Mikisugi's stripping antics. They explained that one of their friends back home also had a very infuriating tendency to strip down to his underwear, so they're used to this by now. They still made it clear that Mikisugi trying to be too touchy-feely would result in a beatdown.
  • On one of their first days in the House of Love, they happened to see a butterfly shining with all the colors of the rainbow. Immediately enamored, Mizuki proceeded to catch it. She and Takeru were of course very surprised when it began to shout in protest. It turned out that the butterfly was, in fact, Tippi, who didn't find being caught by an insect enthusiast again amusing at all. Thankfully, after she calmed down, she understood that Mizuki didn't mean any harm, and approve of her happy relationship with Takeru.
  • Upon hearing about Mizuki, the Military Academy students Noel Vermillion, Tsubaki Yayoi, and Makoto Nanaya were reminded of their good friend Mai Natsume, who was also forcefully changed into a girl but eventually embraced her new gender. So they went over to meet her and Takeru and quickly befriended them. Makoto's energetic behavior especially reminded them of Takeru's little sister. Noel thought about offering Mizuki a spot in the League of Flat Chests but quickly changed her mind when she learned that the former boy was still growing.
    • Mizuki is good friends with Chihiro Fujisaki, another feminine-looking boy who got severely bullied for it. She does feel happy that Chihiro is aiming to make himself feel stronger soon and proposed to teach him Aikido, but he replied he'd rather train under another boy. So she convinced Takeru to begin teaching him judo.
  • Mizuki Only:
    • After she learned that other deities in the pantheons had experience in gender-bending, Mizuki was interested in meeting them. Of course, people like Natsuru Senou, Souji Mitsuka and Souta Kishibe can switch genders at will and identify firmly as male, but she still easily befriended them. She's even thinking about wearing her hair in twin tails thanks to Souji's suggestion. By contrast, Ranma Saotome avoids her because a boy choosing to be a girl forever disturbs him a bit.
    • She gets along well with transpeople like Poison and the Chevalier D'Eon. As far as they're concerned, she's also a transgirl, it just took her body changing before she realized it. At first, she was a bit weirded out by the fact that Bowsette coexists with her 'male self' and that Yubel possesses both sexes, but she also quickly warmed up to them. Yubel, in particular, approve of Mizuki's relationship with her childhood friend.
    • She befriended another person who has to face a similar choice to her in Kuroumaru Tokisaka, whose race choose their gender at sixteen. She wholeheartedly supports their crush on Touta, no matter what their choice end up being.
    • Despite her frail appearance, Mizuki is actually a master in the Aikido style passed through her family. In the pantheon, she met with fellow aikido practitioner Tenko Chabashira. Surprisingly, the Ultimate Aikido Master doesn't really mind that she used to be a boy and readily spar with her. This has much to do with the fact that she's prone to gush over Mizuki's cuteness. Of course, she gives the stink eye to Takeru when he comes to see his girlfriend after their sparring sessions.
    • Mizuki adore bugs and one of her favorite hobbies is collecting them. As such, she rushed towards the House of Insects when she heard about its existence. She wasn't disappointed, to say the least, and quickly befriended the good and neutral-aligned members of the house. She particularly adores Mothra and often catches a ride on the Kaiju. Of course, she avoids going near the Evil-aligned insect deities, but she can't help but find their appearance cool. Except for the Terraformars, who looks nothing like actual bugs. She's just plain scared of them.
      • Other buglike deities she tries her best avoid are the Crimson Court, who has been hounding her out of interest in tasting the blood of a gender-bent person, and Stratos of the Sumeragi Swordsmen after she nearly got devoured by what she thought were ordinary flies.
      • Of course, this means that she became great friends with fellow bug-lovers Agitha, Sig, Dr. Grissom, and Shino Aburame, though she finds the latter raising insects in his body to be creepy. They talk at length about what kind of bugs they like and have been thinking about forming an entomology club.
    • Even when she was a boy, Mizuki was interested in wearing girl clothing, tough very much in denial about it. Now that she fully accepted who she is, she has been thinking about trying out more outfits and so went to visit the group known as Dressed for Divinity. She was very warmly received by the designers there, who love working on such a beautiful and petite lady. Of course, she's grateful for their services, but she still finds being doted upon so much to be embarrassing.
    • Mizuki used to have a crush on her classmate Yumeko Fujiwara. However, shortly before her final choice, she realized that rather than really loving Fujiwara, she admired and felt drawn to her femininity. Because of this, she feels sympathy towards others who loved what they saw in people and not the person themselves, like Scarlett O'Hara and Robert Baratheon. Despite that, she feels those two are too unpleasant for her liking. She gets along much better with Jay Gatsby, even tough his misguided affection had a much worse result than hers.
    • Cinderella was interested in meeting Mizuki after learning the latter played her in a school play. The two became fast friends owing to their shared kind personalities.
  • Takeru only:
    • Thanks to his dad being a fisherman, Takeru's favorite food is fish, which he likes to catch himself. He gets along well with fellow fisherman Big the Cat, and the two often relax together while fishing. Sometimes Link joins these fishing sessions.
    • He also grew interested in Gon after he learned that he actually fights with his fishing rod and once caught a huge fish that was called the "Master of the Lake". Tough Gon doesn't fish must these days, he still sometime join Takeru. Upon seeing Gon's friend Kurapika, he joked that he should be careful to not wake up as a girl.
    • One time he was fishing along with Mizuki, he happened to catch a clownfish. Unfortunately, it turned out that the fish was Marvin, who immediately screamed in fear. After the initial shock, Takeru released him and promptly asked for forgiveness. At least, until Mizuki remembered something she learned at an aquarium and tried to ask Marvin about the natural gender-switching of clownfishes. This made the fish promptly leave. Things went better when he met Dory under similar circumstances. The blue tang doesn't hold anything against him for his honest mistake, though it's probably partly because she completely forgot about it.
    • He's part of his high school's judo club, and so was interested in meeting another judo-practicing god by the name of Segata Sanshiro. The meeting quickly degenerated when Takeru admitted that he never even touched a Sega Saturn. He survived the explosive judo throw that ensued but has avoided Segata like the plaque since then.
  • "But now I realized, I can't be like you. You are you and I am me. Up until now, I've tried my best to ignore my own words and feelings. But it's time to stop, and I get that, so... I'll use my own words now. I like you too."

    Myra Breckinridge
Myra Breckinridge, Goddess of the Sobriquet Sex Switch (Myron)

  • Quasideity
  • Symbol: A giant, turning statue of a chorus girl posing in a striped bikini and cowboy hat (as seen here)
  • Theme Song: "You Gotta S-M-I-L-E to Be H-A-P-P-Y"
  • Alignment: Hard to peg but it's somewhere between Chaotic Neutral and Neutral Evil (while believing herself to be Chaotic Good)
  • Portfolio: Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness, Sophisticated as Hell, The Movie Buff, Wicked Cultured, Take Over the World, Utopia Justifies the Means, That Man Is Dead regarding Myron, most famous for using a strap-on to rape a guy
  • Domains: Gender, Sexuality, Cinema
  • Allies: Z-Man, Frank N. Furter, Norma Desmond, Double Trouble
  • Enemies: Jack from Jupiter, Alex Delarge
  • Conflicting Opinion: Keyblade wielders, with emphasis on Kairi
  • Myra Breckinridge is a trans woman with a very special goal: to change sexual mores all around the world so that the genders achieve equality and homosexuality becomes the norm, therefore reducing overpopulation, preventing humanity's extinction and ushering in a new era of happiness and prosperity. In the meantime, Myra got a teaching job at her Uncle Buck Loner's Academy of Drama and Modeling, where prospective actors learned their craft before being launched into Hollywood (though it was more common for them to sputter and crash). Myra bided her time until she could get her hands on the inheritance Buck was withholding from her and turned her attention to a young, heteronormative couple that she thought she could use as stepping stones for the beginnings of her ideal world. She endeavored to seduce the girl, Mary Ann, and emasculate the guy, Rusty. She succeeded with the latter (using a rather vile method), but not the former, as Mary Ann is stringently heterosexual. After Myra got what she was owed from Uncle Buck, she got into a car accident and had to detransition for medical reasons. She, or rather... Myron dismissed Myra as a strange phase in his life and went on to live a heteronormative life with Mary Ann.
  • While Myron was seemingly happy with the conventional life, Myra still lived within Myron with all her ambitions intact, and struggled with him for dominance. In the middle of this, strange shadows and a soaring death toll were being reported in Los Angeles. Myron himself fell to these monsters, which somehow allowed Myra to emerge again, and the shadows seemed to ignore her. Realizing they might cause humanity's extinction altogether, Myra investigated where they were coming from, eventually running into, much to her shock, Pete, the villain of the classic Walt Disney shorts. His goal was to cover Myra's world in darkness on Maleficent's behalf, reasoning that Horrible Hollywood world like this was ripe for getting consumed by the Heartless. Pete would have been confused by Myra's immunity to the Heartless, but was simply too distracted by how hot she was and happily explained his plans to her at her request. Then she further intimated that he might tell her more in a more comfortable place, and the idiot fat cat was only too happy to go along with it.
    • Meanwhile, Kairi and Riku were the two Keyblade wielders dispatched to deal with the Heartless invasion in this heretofore uncontacted world. They had some... colorful encounters (Riku never wants to talk about the attention lavished on him by one sleazy talent agent called Letitia Van Allen; there was also a battle against Buck Loner's fake horse, animated by a Heartless) even before they inevitably met Myra and Pete. It's more correct to say Pete came to them though, looking incredibly panicked and traumatized and saying this world's darkness ran more deeply than anyone could imagine. When Myra came strolling after him, Pete screamed and retreated back to the Pantheon for good. Though confused and a little disturbed, Kairi and Riku thanked Myra for sparing them from having to deal with Pete and explained they had the weapons to deal with the Heartless, which Myra was glad about. She stuck with them, watching as they defeated the mook shadows, until they got to the big boss fight: Myron's Heartless, as Myra was instinctually able to identify it. After Myron's Heartless was defeated and Myra explained exactly what the situation with her and Myron was, Riku told her she was, at least at that moment, his Nobody, and that she needed to unite with him to become a whole being again. Naturally, Myra did not want that. Before Riku could raise his Keyblade at her, Kairi cut in saying Riku was being silly and forgetting about Roxas. Before Riku could raise other objections, Kairi decided Myra was coming to the Pantheon with them. To cut an even longer story short, Myra could indeed exist separately from Myron thanks to the Pantheon's magic, but she'd have to leave her world forever to avoid "continuity issues". As far as Myra was concerned, anything was worth becoming her own person. And she has no reason to complain if part of the price is becoming a literal goddess.
  • Myra's ascension means all her dirty deeds came to light for the entire Pantheon population, so you can imagine Kairi and Riku were appalled at her and moreso the fact that they personally helped her ascend. Very awkward to have their hearts be one with someone like Myra. However, what's done is done and their bond is undeniable, to the point where Kairi later would say that she definitely doesn't regret it, since it's better to have Myra get up to her antics in the Pantheon, where she is relatively easily controlled and punished for it, than in her own world. Besides, she can't forget that Myra really wanted to save her world and the people in it from the Heartless, or how grateful and happy Myra looked at being allowed to be her own person; maybe it's her inner Princess of Heart talking, but Kairi feels there is true good in Myra, even if she is severely misguided. Myra seems touched by Kairi's faith in her, but in any case, there's now a distance between her and the Keyblade wielders, though Myra will support them (especially Kairi, whom she's rooting for to surpass her male friends) where she can.
  • Although the House of School has banned her from ever getting a teaching job again after the horrifying way she used her authority to take advantage of her students, Myra is more welcome at the House of Theatre and Spectacle and is given a certain amount of free reign to give lectures on acting, movies and sometimes her ideals in regards to gender and sexuality. Regardless of whether one agrees with her views, her great charisma and vocabulary makes her excellent at conveying them, making her lectures very popular among many different types of deities. Her lectures aren't officially considered such, nor is she called a lecturer to appease the House of School, whose membership isn't fooled, but they can't do much to stop the House of Theatre from giving her the floor.
  • She is The Movie Buff and incredibly passionate about The Golden Age of Hollywood (which is why she recognized Pete when he invaded her world with the Heartless). Her posture, manner of dress and speech patterns are modeled after the great stars of that era. Not a lot of the relevant deities would willingly become friends with Myra though; even ignoring her past actions, her entire being and philosophy are simply too scandalous and "out-there" for people of that era. Myra did manage to find one who didn't seem to mind her at all though; that being Norma Desmond, which might not be surprising since she is certifiably insane. Myra likewise doesn't mind that Norma isn't all there, finding being in the good graces of any silver screen legend to be an honor. That kind of praise and reminder of how great she was is just the sort of thing Norma loves to hear, so one could say they're quite made for each other.
  • Myra was not above occasionally attending the wild parties her hippie students threw, which were laden with sex, drugs and alcohol. Perhaps missing the zeitgeist of her era, she decided to attend one of the eccentric Z-Man's parties, and she and the host were immediately taken with each other for their similar personalities and level of sophistication. Learning that they are both transgender solidified their friendship. Things got dicey when Myra proclaimed that the movies of Hollywood's Golden Era were humanity's greastest artistic achievement, greater than Shakespeare even. This was tantamount to blasphemy for Z-Man, who went mad with rage and tried cutting her down with a sword. Myra responded in kind (there are MANY blades at Z-Man's pad), Flynning her way through the duel while the two argued about Shakespeare movie adaptations, the actors who played them and other things. After some time of this (one of the greatest moments in any of Z-Man's parties for sure), the two agreed to disagree, put down their swords and changed the subject like they hadn't been trying to kill each other. Have we mentioned they're both crazy? Because that's probably also a big part of why they bond so well.
  • And much like Z-Man, Myra is one of the few people the legendarily deranged Dr. Frank N. Furter recognizes as a kindred soul. He is especially interested in seeing her utopia become reality and helping her along in that goal, since it would mean (at least he assumes so) earthlings would lose all of their troublesome inhibitions and scruples regarding who has sex with whom, therefore becoming more open to sleeping with his very own person. Myra also sees him as possibly her most important ally in this regard, given he's an alien scientist with some considerable resources and knowledge, and counts her lucky stars that there are such advanced beings that easily understand her ideals. At this point, they are still on the planning stages (with even Z-Man throwing in his own ideas on occasion), but in the meanwhile Myra is very welcome to stay in Frank's castle whether he's holding a "Time Warp" party or not.
  • The non-binary, troublemaking shapeshifter Double Trouble decided Myra was the kind of cool and fun company they like to keep outside of work hours and the two can be seen out and about together on occasion. Double Trouble also warned there was a possibility she could be approached by this one douchebag called Jack from Jupiter, who's a notorious transphobe and paradoxically has a fetish for pre-op transgender women. Myra thought this seemed exactly like the type of person she liked to dispense "justice" upon, but DT told her not to mess with him since he's a superhero who could pay her back tenfold, and also that what she did to Rusty would never work on Jack because that was precisely the kind of thing he was into. Though Myra takes this to heart, she has not given up on brainstorming ideas to take beings like Jack from Jupiter down a peg or two.
  • Much more manageable than Jack from Jupiter is the hoodlum Alex Delarge, who has a history of being extremely violent towards anyone who so much happens to be in his line of sight and a habit of raping women. Despite Myra's infamous treatment of men, she is much softer and more protective towards women, so the misogynistic Alex was sure to rouse her ire. So it was that she contrived for the two of them to meet at some bar, where he chatted her up and tried to impress her with his level of culture. She went along with this up to a certain point, whereupon she made to part with him. As he of course would not let her and intended to force himself on her, she gave him the most painful kick in the groin he ever felt and proceeded to wail on him some, then she took him home here she did unspeakable things to him, which Alex would describe as being almost on par with the Ludovico technique. And yes, he is terrified of her after all that.

    Yuuta Kimura and Yui Ootsuka
Yuuta Kimura and Yui Ootsuka, Divine Duo of Gender Bender Angst (Yuuta: "Yui" || Yui: "Yuuta")

  • Quasideities
  • Symbol: The tree that Yuuta fell from, or Yui's hat
  • Alignment: Chaotic Good for Yuuta, Lawful Neutral with leanings towards Good for Yui
  • Portfolio: "Freaky Friday" Flip, Gender Bender Angst, Different endings in both the original webcomic and the manga; Character Development, Relationship Upgrade, Becoming the Mask, Babies Ever After, Opposites Attract (Manga only)
  • Domains: Body Swap, Angst, Gender, Identity
  • Herald: Their children
  • High Priest: Ash Upton
  • Allies: Anna and Tess Coleman, Natsuru Senou, Poison, and Mizuki Suzushiro
  • Enemies: Junko Enoshima, Needles Kane, Calypso, Killer BOB, The Grineer Queens, Zamasu, Dante, Orochimaru, Xehanort's Incarnations
  • Yuuta and Yui were two children that initially didn't get along and were polar opposites. Yuuta was a thrill-seeking boy while Yui was a lone, "goody-two shoes" girl. One day, Yuuta fell from a tree right onto her and swapped bodies with her. Both of them were terrified of their circumstances, but they are unable to switch back, forcing them to live out the other's life, with Yuuta's best friend Kazuma Takaoka being the only one who knows their secret. Years passed as the two grew into adolescence, with everyone knowing them for their current personalities and the two desperately wishing to return to their original bodies. Yuuta and Yui still manage to make some friends though, while confiding in each other their struggles. They also tend to into arguments when one of them is being insensitive towards the other. Even though they have found someone who fell in love with them (Hayato Tachibana for Yuuta and Kazuma for Yui), the two eventually realize how much they mean to each other, especially when Yuuta's body gets hit by a truck, causing them to switch back after 8 years. With Yuuta in critical condition, Yui finally realizes how much she loves Yuuta and prays for them to switch bodies again if it means saving him. The prayer is answered, and while Yui is recovering in Yuuta's body, both of them officially become a couple and fully accept their circumstances, now calling themselves by the other's name. They would eventually get married and have a son and daughter.
    • One day in the Pantheon, the Court of the Gods reviewed their case and send a messenger with an invitation to the Pantheon, having shown an interest in their story and emotional journey. The two accepted and became representatives of Gender Bender Angst. They shortly after learned that in an alternate timeline, Yuuta fell for Tachibana and failed to notice Yui's deteriorating mental state, which apparently caused her death, leaving Yuuta to lament his failure to understand her as he spends the rest of his life in her body. The two could only look on in horror about this, with Yui even admitting she would have ended up like that if neither of them had taken the time to understand the other's pain and apologize. Yuuta notes he was only a few steps away from making such a mistake.
    • The gods have offered to help switch Yuuta and Yui back to their original bodies if they so desire, no strings attached. But the two turn down the offer, stating they have already grown used to being the other's body and even admit if it weren't for that, they never would have gotten together. They do, however, no longer have to pretend to be the other, acting fully as themselves and being able to share their history with other people in the pantheon, though they still seem to call each other by their spouse's name out of habit.
  • The two soon crossed paths with Anna and Tess Coleman, who had also gone through a body swap scenario that forced them to learn about the other's pain, albeit through different means. And unlike them, they were able to switch back after both learned their lesson. Anna and Tess can only give Yuuta and Yui their condolences about the struggles they had to go through growing up.
  • Deities in the House of Gender/Sex Miscellaneous, particularly Poison, Natsuro, Ramna, and Mizuki, show pity for Yuuta and Yui for having to live for years as the unwanted gender, with nobody but your closest confidants knowing the truth. It's even worse in their situation since nobody else would likely believe them, and everybody only knows them for their current personalities. Yuuta and Yui admit it was painful, but they eventually learned to accept it because being together makes it worthwhile.
    • Natsuro knows what it's like to only be acknowledged as the opposite gender, since his Kämpfer form became popular with both males and females. The girl he was interested in, Kaede Sakura, was only interested in his female form and showed nothing but disgust for his true self.
    • Mizuki understands Yuuta and Yui's feelings all too well, having gone through a similar experience. But whereas she had a subconscious desire to be feminine, Yuuta and Yui weren't happy at all with the change at all, and it took years for the two to accept their circumstances. Mizuki promises to be there for them when they need, something they appreciate greatly.
    • Ramna actually avoids the two since, even though they initially disliked their circumstances, they eventually grew to accept them. Ramna has been trying to lift his curse of transforming into a girl and doesn't even want to entertain the notion of it being permanent.
  • Yuuta, in the mortal world, never truly got to carry out his dream of being soccer player because of the body swap. But in the Pantheon, the Gods have told Yuuta that he is free to carry out his dream if he still wants it, so he goes to the House of Sports to try out for soccer. He has spent his days training, hoping to carry out his childhood dream, while receiving support in the Pantheon. When he's not training, Yuuta also tends to go to the House of Machinery and Technology due to also becoming a web designer for his career choice, having gotten used to working on this field of choice. He admits to Yui in the Pantheon about how he lied about his dream, having given up his childhood dream because of the body swap. Yui assures him that she's not mad and encourages him to follow his dream, having long since learned to be honest and considerate.
  • Yui is also good with children, having grown up with Yuuta's brother Haruki, so she decided to be a nursery school teacher for her career choice. A lot of children get along with Yui, and Yui goes to the House of School to help teach child deities that go there for education.
  • The two are wary of body snatchers in general, since unlike their body swap (which was entirely unintentional and they tried their best not to ruin the other's reputation), they tend to take people's bodies deliberately and ruin their lives. Some of the most notable examples include Zamasu (who swapped bodies with Goku before killing him in front of his family and killing them too), Needles Kane (Granted, Calypso was far from a saint, but what Needles Kane did still reminds them of the alternate timeline), and Dante (Who kills anyone she swaps bodies with, not to mention what she intended to do when she stole Rose's body).
  • Junko Enoshima was really enticed by their trauma, but was disappointed that their relationship didn't end in tragedy like in the alternate timeline, so she wants to make it the same events come to pass. The two in turn outright loathe her for enjoying people's misery, and are disgusted by her desire for despair. They're also downright horrified when they discovered how Junko blackmailed Juzo Sakakura, with the former even admitting she would have gladly used their secret against them if it pushed past the Despair Event Horizon.
