Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

I have some more reworks of my own unless someone else wants to do them

  • Arachne, Goddess of Blasphemous Boasts (Hall of Prideful Attitude)-Her profile is rather weak as it is. That, and I believe Spider People doesn't fit her. Yes she has it in Smite, but I feel she needs a trope that fits her OG and various incarnations of her if it isn't taken. Why does Arachne fit this new trope? Well, why is she a spider? Arachne was a great weaver, but boasted she was a better weaver than goddess of wisdom Athena. Who proceeded to show up and put things to the test. Whoever wins, Arachne shows excessive hubris and is either cursed to be a spider or pressured to suicide and turned into a spider as an act of mercy
  • Chiron, God of Centaurs: Chrion's current profile isn't all too developed and is primarily "insular"/made of interacting with fellow Greek deities/Fate characters. So I want to improve him. Chiron is the most well-known individual centaur in the mythology where the centaur creature comes from, though he's also atypical of how they usually behave. He's the son of Cronus and a nymph and is half-horse because Cronus took the form of a horse to hide from his wife (how Zeus-like)

Here's my draft for the Dark Judges. Any suggestions? Omnicidal possible allies are of interest, yet I'm also interested in hearing about heroes who fought against omnicidal villains or who otherwise would particularly hate them.

The Dark Judges

Judge Death, Judge Fear, Judge Fire and Judge Mortis, Gods of Punishing All Crime With Death (The Dark Judges)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/justice_overdeities_dark_judges_2435.jpg
  • Greater Gods
  • Symbol: Belt buckle shaped like a human skull with extended fangs, a Shrunken Head, a flame-spewing trident, stylized sheep skull
  • Theme Song: Darkness Descends
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil (They think they are Lawful Neutral)
  • Portfolio:
  • Domains: Judgment, Death, Fear, Fire, Decay, Evil, Omnicide
  • Allies: The Joker, Nekron, Thaal Sinestro, The Batman who Laughs, The White, Majin Buu, Broly, The Lich, Death Phantom, The Brainspawn
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork With: Archaon the Everchosen, Zamasu
  • Enemies: EVERYONE, but especially Judge Dredd, Cosmos, Gaea, YHVH, Batman, Superman, Madoka Kaname, Yusuke Godai, Avatar Aang, Gandalf, Son Goku, Darkseid
  • Respect: Light Yagami, Sergey Taboritsky, Seryu Ubiquitous (all one-sided)
  • Four Judges from an alternate dimension that killed everyone from their world. The reason being that Judge Death and his cohorts believed that since only The Living commit crimes then all Life as a crime thus the only true punishment for that was Death. With this belief they are trying to kill every living thing in Dredd's world as well as anything alive in The Pantheon. These four have long since become undead spirits and cannot be permanently killed only contained, each Dark Judge inhabits a corpse and that corpse will shape to their liking before they start "judging" others.
    • Judge Death is the leader and often able to phase through people and crush their organs, he is seen often working with the darker gods of death to help him punish the living.
    • Judge Fear is second in command and he opens his helmet's faceplate and frightens the accused to death with whatever lies within, whilst reciting his catch phrase, "Gaze into the face of Fear!" (though that failed against Dredd).
    • Judge Fire Wields a flaming trident in order to start massive fires. He is attempting to spread his fire further along with Starjun.
    • Judge Mortis is attempting with his cold touch to rapidly age people to death. He is attempting to bring in Barragan to work with them on their plans.
  • They intentionally found their way into the Pantheon in the hopes of killing everyone not just in the world, but the whole multiverse. Together they have killed 60 million citizens and are waiting to spread into the Pantheon to do so much more. They are willing to work with any like minded members to start to upgrade their body count to any living members of the Pantheon. The Lich and Death Phantom have especially taken an interest in the four; very much agreeing with their philosophy of life being a crime. The Lich speculates that they are fellow Scholars of GOLB.
  • Since ascending, the Dark Judges have worked to get some allies in their cause of omnicide. They are attempting to recruit The Joker, who joined them at one point, to reuinite with them; he did, but the Joker is more distant since he doesn't care for wiping out everyone and just wants an excuse to kill people. Death and his group insist on working with Nekron and his GUAD, all willing to except Black Lantern Rings to end all life everywhere. Fear meanshile is attempting to work with Thaal Sinestro and bring him to their cause, he would also gladly except a Sinestro Corp ring to further enhance his killings. The Batman who Laughs didn't even need to be invited, and simply joined them automatically due to his similarities with Judge Death.
  • As is to be expected, Judge Dredd is their arch-enemy just as he is in their home 'verse, as is Batman due to their association with the Joker. However they've also made enemies out of just about any All-Loving Hero in the Pantheon — Superman, Madoka Kaname, Yusuke Godai, Avatar Aang, Gandalf, Son Goku, etc. — and just about anyone who values life. Cosmos and Gaea, the heads of the GUAG and GUAN respectively, have declared themselves and their Alliances to be sworn enemies of the Dark Judges in order to defend life. Pretty much everybody that values life in at all is bound to be their enemy, though the extent to which they fight obviously varies from person to person.
    • Surprisingly (or perhaps not), YHVH considers them a grave threat and ordered the GUAL to oppose them. His official reasoning is that "All Are Equal in Death and equality is wrong!", but more practically speaking it's because 1) many GUAL members were already enemies with the Dark Judges and because 2) YHVH sees a twisted mirror image of his own Law in them. Their ideology is a horrific extreme form of the legalism YHWH cherishes, and (though he'll never admit it publically) that thought troubles him.
  • Not all their comrades in the omnicidal crusade really like them. Zamasu for example sides with them in wanting to exterminate all sentient life, but finds their intent to destroy all life - including plants and single-celled organisms - to be unnecessary. The Dark Judges for their part find Zamasu to be awfully selfish, yet still admire his commitment to "justice". None of these differences are really enough for them to flat-out hate each other though. Yet another omnicidal deity is Archaon the Everchosen, though neither of them admire each other as they have different reasons for what they do: the Dark Judges act out of sadism and pseudo-justice while Archaon is just acting out of angst.
  • They've shown interest in some others in the Pantheon who hold to their All Crimes Are Equal logic, though some of them don't like getting this interest. Some among them are Sergey Taboritsky and Seryu Ubiquitous. On Taboritsky's part, the Dark Judges applauded the lengths the Mad Regent went to in enforcing justice. The Regent's response? He condemned them as "madmen with a perverse philosophy", apparently unaware of the immense irony of that statement. On Seryu's part, the Dark Judges applauded her commitment to justice, and told her that she "would be a true hero" if she "would just go one step further". Seryu was quite disgusted by the suggestion and told the Dark Judges that her zeal is for the well-being of the Empire's people. In both cases, the Dark Judges are mostly just disappointed that they lost potential allies.
    • On that point: Though Light Yagami doesn't believe that All Crimes Are Equal, he has still gotten the attention of the Dark Judges for his Death Note. At times, they've asked him to lend them the Death Note so they can enact "true" justice. As Light's "perfect world" kinda needs people, he's refused to do so, and jealously guards his notebook.
  • They have "creative differences" (for lack of a better term) with Darkseid. Both Darkseid and the Dark Judges are profoundly anti-life, yet their solutions to the problems of existance differ. Darkseid wants to control everything and erase everybody's free will in order to prevent any form of disobedience. The Dark Judges on the other hand think that's still too risky which is why they opt for omnicide. Judge Death, in probably the first instance of anyone saying so, called Darkseid a "naive optimist" who doesn't understand how to be "practical". Darkseid for his part pointed out that eliminating all life would mean there's no society for law to apply to in the first place . . . to which Death said that no concept of law also means no concept of crime, and therefore no crime!
  • Evil minds (heh) think alike, as the Brainspawn has a positive opinion of the Dark Judges and their mission. The sentient brains have become patrons to the Dark Judges and seek to help them in omnicide in the name of punishing crime. However, as they constitute life, the Dark Judges intend to kill the Brainspawn later on in their mission. The Brainspawn actually know this, yet they tolerate the Dark Judges since they believe themselves strong enough to be able to beat them.

[up] I wonder what the Dark Judges would think of the fact Death Phantom used to be a human, aka form of life, before becoming the Lich he is now.

@Clovis: I say good luck with Chiron. [tup]

Anyway, I have a few questions.

1. Should Naughty Bear's high priest be Fritz from Brain Dead 13? That game has to be one of the best examples of Bloodless Carnage I've seen.

2. Nurgle is the Chaos God of Despair, right? How would he feel about Junko Enoshima's actions (i.e. the whole "murder game" business)? Would he approve? Disapprove? Be neutral? And how would Junko feel about him?

Freudian Excuse: Not one person is entirely good or evil; something will have to have happened in the past to make them what they are today.

King Dedede would stay FAR away from the four judges due to the fact that he's very vulnerable to getting possessed due to his weak will (Dream Lands 2 & 3, 64, Epic Yarn, Triple Deluxe, Star Allies, got brainwashed in Forgotten Land, and got his genetic information stolen and had clones made of him in Planet Robobot). The biggest issue would be keeping him possessed since him going AWOL means that Kirby will come running at them, a battle that the judges probably don't want to fight.

Ha ha ha. What a story, Mark.

Thoughts on my profile for Atelia from Tweeny Witches?

Atelia, Goddess of Being Saved From Their Own Honor

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/04b858f6_6620_42f8_9b42_b5d55b0de3ad.jpeg
  • Potential House: Regret and Shame
  • Intermediate God
  • Symbol: Her black pointed hat with a tiny red circle as one of the Three Sages
  • Theme Song: "Atelia"
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: Hot Witch, Appeal to Tradition, Anti-Hero, Reasonable Authority Figure, Jerk with a Heart of Gold, Tsundere, Silk Hiding Steel, Retired Badass, Broken Ace, Conflicting Loyalty, is revealed to be Jidan's ex, Maligned Mixed Marriage, Star-Crossed Lovers, Interrupted Suicide by Cop, Easily Forgiven
  • Domains: Witches, Tradition, Order, Leadership, Loyalty, Reconciliation
  • Allies: Lennon (her son), Diana Cavendish
  • As the most active of the Three Sages, a group of witches second only to the grand master, Atelia effectively upholds order and tradition in the Witch Realm. In fact, she fought with the wizards to retrieve the True Book of Spells for the grand master from Grande, the wicked leader of the warlocks, when she was younger. Although her austerity makes her an intimidating figure, she has a subtle, caring side as evident in giving Arusu, a human, her apprentice witch uniform to live among the witches.
  • She has kept one Dark Secret for more than a decade: her forbidden relationship with Jidan, a human, which produced Lennon, for which she left military service to the witches. Despite keeping a vague portrait of a couple holding their baby, she can't bring herself to abandon her people to fend for themselves, especially in a time of turmoil during the second half of the series. This drives a wedge between her and her son, the latter of whom erroneously believes she abandoned the family to save her own hide and for political power. They eventually reconcile thanks to the wizard Wil, who confirms the truth to Lennon, following Arusu and later Jidan's intervention in her Zero-Approval Gambit to die by a mob of witches in Lennon's place. Not only do she and Lennon get to live as a family again, the grand master restores her position to help her rebuild the Magical Realm due to being the only sage who has done any work to uphold order among her people.
  • Years after finding a way to the Trope Pantheons across the Interdimensional Sea, Lennon is glad that he's been able to bring his mother there.

I mentioned adopting this idea for a proposal from RJ-19-CLOVIS-93, and they mentioned that I should get approval from the forum first. So . . .

  • The Dominion Of Draka, Unholy Society Of Being Overly Successful Alternate Timelines (SIDENOTE: I may change the wording of their title to something like "The Ascended Overpowered Alternate-History Faction" instead)
  • WHY?: The Draka are the antagonists of an alternate-history book series by S. M. Stirling of the same name. The TLDR of their lore is that a bunch of American Crown Loyalists, Hessian mercenaries, French royalists, and later Confederate expats all fled to a colony in South Africa where they built their own society. Their entire ideology ammounts to "Take Over the World, ve iz da Master Race, everybody else is our slaves". They spend the 19th and 20th centuries taking over more and more land, with nobody bothering to oppose them until it's too late, to the point of ruling around half of the earth by 1948 — and the books end with them taking over the entire planet. For obvious reasons, the Draka are probably the most (in)famous example of an overpowered empire in the general alternate-history fandom.

Now, on a different note, I have a proposal to do a rework for a profile. The rework is my own idea based on what I've noticed.

  • Annabeth Chase, Goddess of Wiser Women (in the Hall of Male and Female Traits)
  • WHY?: Annabeth is defenitely an example of the trope; Aside from being the daughrer of a literal goddess of wisdom, in the original Percy Jackson books she serves as a sort of mentor-figure to the hotheaded Percy, and in The Heroes of Olympus her character as a Guile Heroine is elaborated. However her profile is currently very short, only having 10 (or 11 counting subpoints) bits of flavor text, and with some of them being below the expected size. It's clear her profile hasn't been edited all too much for a rather long period of time, with the latest edit being done by me. I couldn't help but notice the lackluster profile when doing my Percy Jackson rework a couple months ago.

Okay, I've worked on Klonoa's rework a lot more and I feel it's just about complete. Only other input I could use are:

  • New Followers and maybe a High Priest for Klonoa, since there's only one Follower now. There's got to be an assortment of unascended characters with bittersweet endings.

  • What to do about the entries for Madotsuki, Prismo, and Bedman, as I still have no idea what to add to them or anything. Feeling the strong desire to just delete them but would like to hear any ideas if they can be kept.

  • How to go about entries for Unico and Niko. I've seen Klonoa's entries in their respective profiles and I feel those entries are just too good to try and replicate in this profile. Like, would it be better to just have Unico and Niko in Klonoa's list of allies but have no entires, or try to make entries for them?

Without further ado, the latest draft for Klonoa.

  • Once believing himself to be a native inhabitant of Phantomile, specifically a denizen of Breezegale, Klonoa is in truth the "Dream Traveler"; a hero who is destined to travel to different dream worlds and save them from destruction, with Phantomile being just one such trip. Which Klonoa has no problem with, being a naturally kind-hearted kid who never refuses anyone in need. However, the big catch with being the Dream Traveler is that Klonoa cannot stay in a dream world after it had been saved, needing to leave for his home dimension or be forced out of the dream if he stays too long, as had happened with Phantomile. Which sucks to say the least for Klonoa as he's quick to form close friendships with the inhabitants of those dream worlds, and he (sometimes) depends on some of these inhabitants to power his weapon, the Wind Ring, so he has to make friends with those in the dream worlds to accomplish his task. Though as sad as it is to say goodbye to friends, with minimal chance of seeing them again, Klonoa maintains an upbeat attitude and continues to selflessly do his duty of restoring balance to dreams.
    • In an alternate version of his universe, dubbed the "Heroes universe", Klonoa is a normal boy of Breezegale who dreamt of obtaining a "Hero Medal", a mystical and highly coveted item of his world. Said world being a singular planet that unifies the dream worlds of Klonoa's "Prime universe", with the locations and inhabitants of Phantomile coexisting alongside those of Lunatea and more. After a chance encounter with the bounty hunter, Guntz, Klonoa of the Heroes universe would achieve his dream of getting his own Hero Medal and would then save the world from an eternal nightmare alongside Guntz and a bomb expert pangolin named Pango. The Heroes version of Klonoa has a much less troubled and lonely life compared to the Prime version but was much less heroic until some serious reflecting.
  • Klonoa first entered the Pantheon the same way he entered all other dream worlds, having been sent there as the Dream Traveler to protect it from destruction. After accomplishing what he had been sent to do, however, Klonoa found that he was not forced out after sticking around for a long time. At first, Klonoa was confused but then realized he finally had a waking world to stay in and less eternal goodbyes to make. People would need his help again and again, people could follow him now that he was a god, and people could keep crossing paths with him in his duties. At last, Klonoa had found a proper home. His ascension was finalized when he was given the trope Bittersweet Ending due to the endings of his main adventures being among the most heartwarming yet tearjerking of their kind.
  • During his ascension process, Klonoa found the King of Sorrow at the Court of the Gods, which was a big surprise for the Dream Traveler as he last saw King of Sorrow dying in his arms back in Lunatea yet here he was alive and well in the Pantheon. King explained that he had manifested within the House of Despondency shortly after the aforementioned death in Lunatea and was taken to the Court of the Gods to determine his fate in the Pantheon. Because Klonoa and King of Sorrow were familiar with each other, it was decided by the Court that King of Sorrow would act as the Herald for the newly ascended Klonoa, which the two boys heartily agreed to. Even though King started off as an enemy to Klonoa, having attempted to consume Lunatea with sorrow and attacking Klonoa to atone for that world's sins, Klonoa knew that King of Sorrow was acting from trauma-induced insanity and was more than willing to accept the Hyuponian as a friend after all that had been sorted.
    • Over time, though, Klonoa began to miss his friends from his past adventures: Huepow, Lolo, Popka, and Guntz, and desired to be with them again. When the option to make them all heralds was offered, Klonoa immediately took that opportunity to bring those four into the Pantheon. Many Tears of Joy were shed as Klonoa, Huepow, Lolo, and Popka embraced each other in reunion, while Guntz just gave the Dream Traveler a friendly pat on the shoulders. And Klonoa convinced the Court of the Gods to ascend King as a deity so he wouldn't feel like a left-out fifth wheel herald but rather a fellow deity ally, with the Hyuponian also able to make his own friends in the form of other deities and his own heralds.
      • However, with regards to Huepow, there's a serious Elephant in the Living Room between him and Klonoa over Huepow giving Klonoa Fake Memories of having always lived in Phantomile, as opposed to being an outsider to the dream world who was sent to save it. Klonoa and Huepow both know they have to talk about it but for the time being want to enjoy each other's company again after being apart for so long. Klonoa at least has no hard feelings about it as he knows how regretful and apologetic Huepow is about that whole thing. Though that doesn't stop many deities, including King of Sorrow, as well as Lolo, Popka, and Guntz from criticizing Huepow for doing that to Klonoa, pointing out how unnecessary it was and how it ultimately made Klonoa's departure from Phantomile ten times more heartbreaking than it could've been.
  • Immediately upon ascending, Klonoa was merged with his incarnation from the Heroes universe, retaining that counterpart's memories and experience, and gaining his abilities and equipment. Though still having a preference for fighting with his Wind Ring, Klonoa took a liking to the sword and hammer weapons and can not only be seen training in using them but will utilize them in serious fights if his Wind Ring cannot be used to its full effect. Klonoa also greatly appreciates the new special move in "Thunder Hurricane" since it lets him damage multiple enemies in a spinning attack while stunning others with lightning bolts. Klonoa also gained a great respect for pangolins and bombers, provided those bombs are used for good purposes, and wishes in hindsight that he chose Pango as a herald alongside Huepow, Lolo, Popka, and Guntz. Though Guntz, who also gained the memories of his Heroes incarnation, assured his cabbit friend that Pango would've wanted to stay in his village with his son anyway.
  • Klonoa's role in the Pantheon (when not up to his usual duties) revolves around consoling those who are experiencing separation from friends and loved ones, as he's experienced more than enough cases himself. Though, nobody ever asks if he could use some support. Overall, he's surprisingly upbeat about his past and his fate, and can often be found talking with other deities in the House of Despondency in attempts to cheer them up.
  • As the Dream Traveler, Klonoa is naturally drawn to the House of Dreams and Nightmares and spends most of his time there; which got to the point that he's considered an unofficial member of the house. And since Klonoa's role as the Dream Traveler is to save imperiled dreams from destruction, he quickly gained the favor of Ysera and other "dream guardians": NiGHTS, Princess Luna, and Haruto. Klonoa loves to hang out with each of them and share experiences with protecting dreams. And while the worst aspect of being the Dream Traveler is circumvented by being in the Pantheon, Ysera, Princess Luna, and Haruto are looking for ways to remove the "forced departure" of the Dream Traveler role, allowing Klonoa to remain in dream worlds as much as he likes, if not travel to them voluntarily as opposed to the current involuntary way. Klonoa is nothing short of thankful to the three for their efforts.
    • Of the "dream guardians", Klonoa gets along best with NiGHTS since he's the most devoted to protecting dream worlds, just like himself, yet NiGHTS has such a fun and flighty personality (moments of rudeness notwithstanding). Klonoa also admires NiGHTS for being a Nightmaren, directly created by Wizeman the Wicked to expand Nightmare, but decided to rebel against his master and be the savior of Nightopia instead, which made Klonoa start to consider that not all nightmares or nightmare creatures are bad. The Dream Traveler couldn't help but remark that, with that origin in mind, NiGHTS is almost a good version of Joka, both being clown-based nightmare creatures but NiGHTS had the good sense to rebel and protect dreams, while Joka remained devoted to his nightmare master and helped him to bring about the permanent end to a dream world. Klonoa is also intrigued by NiGHTS' ability to dualize dreaming people, which the Dream Traveler compared to his Wind Ring and its dependence on others to fuel it. NiGHTS, in turn, is fascinated by Klonoa's Wind Ring and praises Klonoa for his heart and determination to help dream worlds and those within despite never getting to see those worlds and their people again. To allow the Dream Traveler a dream world he can visit time and time again, NiGHTS invited Klonoa to Nightopia where the two can have fun.
    • Soon after getting acquainted with the good dream deities, Klonoa would have an encounter with Dream of the Endless, who revealed himself to be the one who had summoned the Dream Traveler to the Pantheon in the first place and allowed for him to be ascended. As the personification of dreams, the Sandman had an awareness of the many dream worlds in Klonoa's universe and took notice of the traveling protector of those dreams. Grateful for Klonoa's accomplishments and efforts in saving dreams from destruction, Morpheus decided to summon the Dream Traveler to the Pantheon during a particularly disastrous event in the Dreamscape and then contributed to Klonoa's ascension as a reward afterward. Klonoa was nothing short of flattered upon learning of this and immediately befriended Dream, even if he found the Sandman to be intimidating.
      • Klonoa could not help but ask Dream if he was also the one who made him the Dream Traveler in the first place, but Morpheus answered that he did not and does not know who or what made Klonoa the Dream Traveler; Dream even ponders that being the Dream Traveler is an inherent aspect of Klonoa, just as being the personification of dreams is to himself. Nonetheless, the Sandman took pity on Klonoa for the forced goodbyes his role enforces, relating a bit with being isolated due to one's function, and told the Dream Traveler to just focus on the work and cherish the memories of his friends, which the cabbit took to heart.
    • Of course, it didn't take long for Klonoa to meet the "nightmare" members of the house and the Dream Traveler toom an instant dislike for them. With the exception of the Perfect Trumpet Thingy, who is harmless all things considered, the likes of Vaermina, Nightmare, Wizeman, and Freddy Krueger make Ghadius look tame (which is saying a lot) and Klonoa is quick to join the rest of the dream protecting deities should those fiends start spreading nightmares. Nightmare in particular had become a pseudo-Arch-Enemy for Klonoa as he's not only the most like Ghadius in nature and personality but the Emporer of Darkness took on Ghadius as a High Priest and ascended Joka into the Pantheon, which the Cabbit cannot forgive. As for the Perfect Trumpet Thingy, Klonoa still doesn't think highly of the thing and its tendency to spook people in their sleep for not being "perfect", always making an effort to tell the trumpet off whenever it does.
  • Indeed, Klonoa was beyond furious on learning about Joka's ascension, having hoped that the Pantheon would be untouched by the clown fiend. Though Joka is more often a bumbling fool and is always second-fiddle to a bigger threat, the Dream Traveler harbors the most hatred for Joka for killing his grandpa to obtain the Moon Pendant; even after coming to terms that he and grandpa aren't actually related, Klonoa is still enraged over the callous murder of an innocent life who regarded him as family despite true circumstances. Klonoa also knows from that moment that Joka is not to be underestimated, and has become further worried by the trouble Joka can accomplish on learning that he took on Garlen and Janga as heralds, both being dangerous villains who can easily cause mass harm alongside the clown fiend. Klonoa always makes an effort to confront Joka with whatever the harlequin is up to, be it assisting a villain in their evil scheme or trying to win in a tournament, and become extra determined to defeat Joka. And whenever Janga is involved as well, Klonoa can count on Guntz to help him out, since Janga killed Guntz's father and has it out for the cat's blood.
    • It goes without saying that Klonoa has a heavy dislike for other monstrous clowns in the Pantheon, with Dimentio standing out to the Dream Traveler for being most like Joka but being much more competent and sinister, with his ultimate goal being possibly the most despicable of all. That Dimentio is close allies with Joka only makes Klonoa extra determined to defeat Dimentio.
  • Klonoa and Guntz (specifically their Heroes incarnations) were one of the heroes Reiji and Xiamou encountered during their first recorded adventure, and naturally the two were pleased to see the young hero and bounty hunter again. It took Klonoa and Guntz a while to recognize Reiji and Xiamou, having not seen them in so long, but once they did Klonoa excitedly greeted the Shinra agents while Guntz simply shook their hands. Soon after, Klonoa and Guntz got reacquainted with the other heroes they encountered in that adventure with Reiji and Xiamou; Klonoa rekindling his friendship with Felicia in particular, who was overjoyed to see her fluffy, long-eared friend again. Morrigan was also pleased to see Klonoa again, finding him too cute to resist. Guntz, however, remembered how obsessed all the girl heroes were with hugging the two of them and quickly fled from the gathering, swearing like crazy as the girls gave chase to hug him. Klonoa, however, was content with the hugging (provided he could still breathe).
  • Klonoa met with Kirby one day while browsing the House of Food for a burger stand and the two adorable dream heroes became immediate friends. As they ate their favored foods, Klonoa and Kirby conversed on their past adventures, and the two were astonished by how much their respective worlds have in common with each other; the resemblance between basic Moos and the Waddle Dees being just the tip of the iceberg. The two also noticed how similar their default methods of attacking are, requiring them to "grab" and then "toss" enemies. Though Kirby is able to do way more with his ability to absorb the power of any enemy he swallows, which Klonoa found cool but also really creepy. Though Huepow, Lolo, and Popka were quick to tell Klonoa that he shouldn't be one to judge with the amount of Moos he tossed to their deaths.
    • Klonoa was soon introduced to Bandana Waddle Dee by Kirby and was immediately reminded of "Heart Moo", who a version of himself played volleyball with in one universe. The supposed "King of all Moos", Heart Moo is a standard Moo who wears a green bandana with a yellow heart symbol to distinguish himself from the rest of the Moos, just like Bandana Dee, and is also the friendliest of the Moos; rejecting the prize money and trophy in favor of keeping the volleyball as a friend should he win the tournament. The bandana'd Waddle Dee was amused by this revelation and hopes to meet Heart Moo one of these days, and took up an interest in volleyball in the meantime. Klonoa can often be seen playing some volleyball with Bandana Dee.
  • ((Klonoa's confused about Madotsuki, who spends her time wandering around disturbing dream worlds. He’s tried to help her out a few times, only for her to loudly tell him to go away.))
  • ((When Klonoa learned about Prismo, he became interested in protecting him, considering how people have been trying to kill him by waking his host up.))
  • Presea Combatir was shocked to see the mascot of Altamira's theme park within the Pantheon, whom she owns a costume of, and was delighted to meet Klonoa in person. Klonoa was suprised to learn that he's a mascot in another world and amazed at how realistic Presea's costume looks, and became fast friends with the girl. Klonoa felt sympathy for Presea on learning of how she was reduced to an Empty Shell due to experimentation and does his best to help her feel good emotions again. Likewise, Presea makes an effort to hang out with Klonoa for some more friendly fun that he could use, in light of his bittersweet fate.
  • ((Klonoa is very, very confused by Bedman. He is aware Bedman is caught in a coma, which Klonoa views as an endless dream, but is having trouble trying to figure out if Bedman is truly evil or not. For his part, he understands Bedman is not trying to cause nightmares and thus avoids conflict with him for the most part.))
  • Klonoa took an interest in Ned Needlemeyer when he learned about the boy's chronic nightmares, and became one of few deities who visits Ned's temple expressly to brave those nightmares. As to be expected, Ned's nightmares are no match for the Dream Traveler, Klonoa defeating them with ease, and very soon the cabbit became good friends with Ned. Klonoa often tries to help the boy with his anxieties that cause his nightmares, and Ned in turn seeks out opportunities to have fun with Klonoa, having become aware of the Dream Traveler's heartbreaking ordeal and wanting to be another friend he can play with.
  • Pac-Man recognized Klonoa as another character from his flagship company and was pleased to hear of his ascension, especially being aware that the Dream Traveler is one of the more overlooked members of the company. Klonoa in turn recognized Pac-Man as the character on his hat, which amused Pac-man to no end, and got along with the Yellow Fella. The two can often be seen eating together in the House of Food, Klonoa partaking in a hamburger (without tomatoes) while Pac-Man helps himself to... Everything he feels like eating.
  • Klonoa became acquainted with Sonic the Hedgehog after being mistaken to be from the hedgehog's universe by numerous deities. On meeting Sonic and his friends, Klonoa could see the resemblance between them and himself, especially in his appearance from Lunatea and onward, and decided to befriend the hedgehog and his allies. Sonic himself took a quick liking to Klonoa, being a fellow young hero of the wind who selflessly saves worlds from destruction (and also can't swim to save his life), and tries to comfort the Dream Traveler over his forced departure of those worlds.
    • Of Sonic's friends, Klonoa gets along best with Miles "Tails" Prower since they are both heroic boys who've suffered trauma (Tails having been the victim of bullying before meeting Sonic) but maintain a cheerful attitude. Certainly helps that Tails has the closest resemblance to Klonoa among Sonic's friends, the two loving to joke that they are long-lost relatives. Klonoa is also fascinated by Tails' namesakes, and doubly so that the fox is able to fly by twirling them super fast, while Tails is curious about Klonoa's Wind Ring.
      • Klonoa also loves hanging out with Cream the Rabbit, who has the heart of a hero and adventurer despite her pacifism and he likes to accompany her on her many wanderings through the Pantheon. Klonoa and Cream also bond on their ability to float in the air with their ears, though the cabbit is a tad envious that Cream is able to float for much longer and for much greater height and distance than he himself. Lolo also enjoys hanging out with Cream due to having mannerisms similar to herself, while Huepow is shocked by how similar-looking Cheese is to himself.
    • After meeting Sonic and his friends, it was only a matter of time Klonoa would meet their enemies. And to the Dream Traveler's great displeasure, he would be encountered by Dr. Eggman, who reminds Klonoa a lot of Garlen; a recurring enemy of his who is also a round, comical Mad Scientist specializing in robotics and constantly makes schemes for world domination. Though Eggman is a much bigger threat than Garlen could ever hope to be and his long list of crimes alone disgusts Klonoa to no end. The doctor himself considers Klonoa to be a potential annoyance and begun studying the cabbit to make countermeasures for him.
      • Klonoa and Guntz would also soon come across Nack the Weasel, also known under the name of Fang the Sniper, and Klonoa was absolutely baffled at the similarities Nack and Guntz shared: both being canid hunters famed for wielding guns and even own distinct hoverbikes that they named; "Red Clan" and "Marvelous Queen" respectively. Naturally, Guntz and Nack developed an incredible hatred for one another, calling each other ripoffs, and immediately got into a gun duel, forcing Klonoa and other nearby deities to take cover as the two shot at each other. Of course, since Guntz's guns actually fire bullets whilst Nack was shooting corks, the fanged sniper had to resort to dirty tactics to keep up with the Golden Killer, but Guntz proved the superior of the two in the end. Nack swore vengeance and fled on his Marvelous Queen while Guntz smiled with satisfaction at besting his copycat. Though that joy was short-lived as the Pantheon's law enforcement showed up right after and sentenced Guntz to fix and clean the area he and Nack shot up, with Klonoa being to serve that sentence as well since Guntz is his herald and thus his responsibility. That experience didn't endear Nack to Klonoa, and on learning more about the treasure hunter came to regard him as a rival: viewing him as Guntz without any honor or redeeming qualities.
      • Deities have also noted similarities between Guntz and Shadow the Hedgehog, both being the dark-furred, edgy and mean foils to blue-clad and friendly heroes. And on meeting Shadow, Klonoa and Guntz could see what those deities meant. Fortunately, there are enough differences between the two that Guntz and Shadow don't view each other as fakers and have become allies due to their shared sense of solitude and justice. Though Shadow really wishes Guntz would speak with a cleaner mouth, as the swearing combined with his firearms and hoverbike reminds Shadow too much of how he behaved in his own game. Klonoa himself is on good terms with Shadow, recognizing him as a fellow hero, even if he feels Shadow could lighten up and be more friendly.
    • Klonoa would also soon meet the Babylon Rogues, rivals to Sonic's own team, who heard about Klonoa owning a hoverboard and challenged him to a race. The Dream Traveler put up a valiant effort to beat the trio of birds and did manage to get ahead of Storm and Wave in the final stretch, but Jet was just too fast for Klonoa to beat. Being a good sport, of course, Klonoa complimented Jet for his skill and vowed to improve his boarding to win next time, which the hawk stated he'll be looking forward to. Since then, Klonoa has been practicing his hoverboard skills and meeting with Tails for some upgrades to increase its speed.
  • (Entry about Unico)
  • (Entry about Niko)
  • Klonoa became befriended by Sora when the Keybearer heard about another hero who travel to many worlds and saves them from destruction. Both being one of the most loving and friendly heroes who are also young yet really tough boys, and wield iconic weapons that are among the most unusual (a ring and a key), Klonoa and Sora naturally get along great and consider each other kindred spirits to an extent. Sora was also amazed at how Klonoa is able to enter people's dreams, at least until the Dream Traveler told him about how he has no choice in where he goes or how long he can stay. Sora immediately felt sorry for Klonoa, knowing how much he'd be bummed out if he was unable to freely travel worlds and revisit old friends, and even though the Dream Traveler assured Sora that the Pantheon allows him to be with his closest friends again, the Keybearer comforted Klonoa by telling him that so long he keeps the memories of his friends in his heart, they'll always be with him.
  • Klonoa also became good friends with Avatar Aang, being yet another All-Loving Hero who is a young boy attuned with the wind and was born with the divine task of maintaining his world's balance. Aang could relate all too well with Klonoa on the burden of being a "chosen hero", as the revelation of being the Avatar caused Aang to be left out of games from the other airbending kids and then nearly separated from his beloved mentor, among so many other things. Though the airbender admitted that that's nothing compared to the burden of being the Dream Traveler, not wanting to even imagine having to leave behind his friends for an indeterminate amount of time. Of course, Klonoa thinks that the burdens of their respective roles are equal and is simply happy that Aang is in a good position now. Aang appreciated Klonoa's thoughts and praised the Dream Traveler for his heart and strength, and then offered to assist Klonoa in any situation. In the meantime, Klonoa and Aang like to get together to practice their wind abilities.
  • When Klonoa first saw Beerus, he thought that the god was Emporer Jillius, ruler of the Empire of Dreams whom he had helped before, and greeted the purple cat before realizing Beerus was someone entirely different, and a great deal bigger than any emporer. Though Klonoa's first encounter with Beerus turned out amicable, the feline deity having been in a good mood on being met by the Dream Traveler, Klonoa became very suspicious of the Destruction God for his job description alone. The Dream Traveler's wariness of Beerus only increased when he learned from other deities about how ill-tempered, petty, and jerkish Beerus can be, destroying whole planets just because a few inhabitants annoyed him. But realizing that he and his allies wouldn't stand a chance fighting Beerus, Klonoa makes an effort to stay on the deity's good side and try to get him to be a nicer person.
    • On a similar note, Klonoa does not trust Hypno at all due to the Pokemon's resemblance to Bagoo, Emporer Jillius' treacherous advisor, and Hypno's penchant for kidnapping children only cemented the Dream Traveler's distrust. Only things keeping Klonoa from deeming Hypno as an outright enemy is that the Pokemon is actually harmless, all things considered, and is not only allies with NiGHTS and Ysera but enemies with much worse deities.
  • Klonoa can often be found within the House of Sports on his free time, partaking in as much as the place has to offer. The Dream Traveler found himself being particularly fond of baseball, having no less than three different outfits, the last one reserved for the Christmas season. And of course, Klonoa never misses a chance to go snowboarding with his hoverboard, singing "Stepping Wind" all the way to the ends of each snowboarding course.

@m-95 - The Dark Judges

  • I'm gonna PM the suggestions to you as it is quite longer than I expected.

@mdalsted
  1. I don't see why not.
  2. Based on what I briefly read for them, while he does give despair to people with his diseases, Nurgle genuinely want to help people and thinks he's doing the right thing, so I don't think he would initially get along with Junko, who intentionally wants to spread despair. Junko meanwhile would likely be super interested in him and likely try to convince him that the despair she brings is a good thing and try to convince him to use his diseases to others as a gift. So I would say something like Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, I could see them working together, they kept a distance due to Junko likely not wanting to get his diseases herself.

@IukaSylvie - Atelia

@KaoticKanine
  • At this point I would put Maximillian as the High Priest and remove the followers list. I don't think it was necessary to list many of them and I can't think of a game or show that has the theme of bittersweet ending every episode/level that isn't also well-known enough to not get ascended eventually (since it is a popular ending type). If I have encounter this show or game, I'll let you know.
  • I'm going with a brief mention of them, Maybe also put them togther due to their similar tragic themes. Both are dreamwalkers like Klonoa but are more mysterious in their origins. Both can be a bit violent as seen where Madotsuki sometimes attacks creatures when she wield a Knife and Bedman is a hitman that can kill people in their sleep via their dreams. That said, both are not completely bad. Madotsuki lives alone, refuses to go out and is implied to have a dark and troubled past. This is why she would rather live in her dreams and ultimately commit suicide at the end when she collect all her abilities found around her dream world, known as Effects. Meanwhile, Bedman and sister were forced to put into sleep because of a unique condition they have where their bodies cannot handle their extreme intelligence. His consciousness is put into an information-holding dimension called the Backyard and he can only communicate via dreams. He hopes to use the power of the dimension he was placed to one day live freely and one day bring back the people he has killed. Klonoa is likely to both be weary (given that both have lots of powers that can be used against him or others) and pities both of them for their backstories.
    • Klonoa likely tried to help both of them by trying to find out who they are in their home realm but is sadden by the fact that their troubles is something that happened in their respective non-dream world and something his powers likely cannot help. Also, Madotsuki does not speak (or chooses not to), what she would do is to avoid him whenever she encounters him in her dreams. Your interactions with Bedman are fine tho.
    • I would delete Prismo, mostly because he's a Dream Projection rather than a Dreamwalker. Which makes their interactions not compatible imo.
  • Unico and Niko - I would just not include their text but keep them in the relationship list since your profile is already long enough and you could just visit their profile to see why they are allies with them.

@lawliet-saw-whet:

1. Done and done.

2. Based on what I've been told of Junko, she "enjoys spreading despair to others, because she considers it the best thing in the world and wants to share it around as much as possible. She also kills people she loves because doing so gives her despair. She likes being in despair as much as she likes circulating it. Junko is, at heart, a Utilitarian, which means her morality is based on the results of actions..." Sounds pretty similar to Nurgle, if you ask me; they just have different methods.

Is it ok to add stuff from fan film if it is endorsed by official sources? I was thinking of doing that with Godzilla vs. Gigan Rex which is endorsed by Toho.

  • Okay, how about "Rival/Conflicting Opinion" like with Cyth V'sug. He may also feel sort of a kinship with her as well and while he likes her idea in spreading despair, he disagrees with her methods of delivering that despair via killing people because as to quote his profile "Nurgle loves all life and wishes to keep everything alive".

@WhirlRX
  • I think that seems fine if they endorsed it because it likely makes that it doesn't conflict with any canon. But to be safe, make it ambiguous whether it is canon or not or make it like a possible canon AU

[down][down] Yeah, something like that.

Alright, I haven't actually added anything to Annabeth's profile yet. I'm just posting the unedited original here in case anyone has suggestions before I get going - and also for reference's sake.

Oh, and I plan to update her picture with Viria art instead of Caparo art, before anyone suggests that.

Annabeth Chase, Goddess of Wiser Women (Wise Girl, Daughter of Athena)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/annabeth_chase_8.jpg
In the movie
  • Lesser Goddess
  • Symbol: The Athena Parthanos. Alternatively, the Mark of Athena.
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: Strategists, Action Girls, Smart Girls, Disliking Spiders, Battle Couple (with Percy), Badass Bookworms, Runaways, Violently Protective Girlfriends, Lovable Blondes.
  • Domains: Warfare, Knowledge.
  • Allies: Percy Jackson, Hermione Granger, Wonder Woman, Athena
  • Enemies: Kratos, Mori Motonari, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Light Yagami, Arachne
  • Her Ascension began after her eternal love, Percy Jackson, was ascended to the Pantheon, and did not wish to be without her. After some consideration, he approached the War Pantheon and briefly told of her tales. Not impressed, they laughed him out until he threatened to completely destroy the Pantheon's plumbing forever. This quickly gained her an audience.
  • After hearing of her exploits, including Batman Gambitting a giant humanoid spider into creating its own prison and then suckering it into locking itself in, all the while on a broken leg and completely exhausted, the War pantheon quickly praised her deeds and welcomed her in.
  • After surviving literal Hell in one of the deepest, darkest pits in the known multiverse known as Tartarus, Annabeth developed a bit of a backbone, demonstrated by her new blade, made out of a drakon bone. Since then, a single stare from her grey eyes is enough to get even the most battle-hardened and cocky warrior to shut up, sit down, and listen.
  • She holds tremendous respect for the legendary Spartan strategist and King Leonidas, and is often seen walking the Pantheon's borders with him, discussing both defensive and offensive strategy. The King, meanwhile, considers Annabeth a daughter after his own heart, thus giving her two nigh-unkillable protectors.
  • When not in the War Pantheon, she can often be found spending time with Percy Jackson, her true love.
  • Shortly after Percy and Harry Potter became fire forged friends, Annabeth met Hermione Granger. Since then, Hermione has been training Annabeth in the magic arts, and Annabeth has taught Hermione battle strategy. Melkor has begun to fear this companionship.
  • She dyed her hair to brown once (as seen in this picture), but later, it returned to her natural blonde... don't call her Dumb Blonde or she will quickly and efficiently prove you totally and completely wrong. While looking totally hot.
  • During a recent adventure involving friendly Egyptian sorcerers, it was discovered that she can use other beings' magic as her own simply by learning the language and (even rudimentally) the mechanics. While the limits of this are currently unknown, given who her mom is, it's likely that what she learns, she can use. Period.
  • Hates Kratos just as much as Percy, if not more so. She can't stand to hear him insulting her mother Athena and call her a greedy Manipulative Bitch. Her mother might not be a saint, but she's far from greedy. She's prepared to join Percy when the time comes to eventually deal with the Faux God of War.
    • She has a conflicted opinion of his son, Atreus. That doesn't stop her from warning him, "Don't you ever make the same mistakes your father made, boy."
  • When she met Aqua of Kazuma's Party for the first time, she joked that for once, there was a person more deserving of the title "Seaweed Brain" than Percy. Percy took it as a complement.

  • Brand X Industries is a notorious food company known for its rather unappealing Brand X products that at one point replaced many brand names for over half a year. If it were not for the rough recession at the time, most people would have skipped using Brand X. Brand X also turns out to be poisonous to people, so it's both rather unsavory and unhealthy to eat. The FDA would have gone ballistic over this, though it is not the first nor last time Americans devoured foods that killed them. In truth, Brand X's rise to power is much more malicious than a simple fluke. In the supermarket world, brands dwell in a world separated from standard reality where these Ikes interact with each other. However, if an Ike is killed in the world or suddenly vanishes, the brand the Ike represents is yanked from circulation. Brand X kidnapped the mascot Sunshine Goodness and pumped her "sweet essence" (whatever that means) into their products, allowing them to keep consumers from buying their products. Then Brand X decided to assassinate several Ikes before mounting a full-frontal extermination war against every Ike out there. Despite how powerful Brand X became, the United Supermarket Defense Association led by Dex Dogtective defeated Brand X, putting an end to their imperialistic grabs for the supermarket. That does not mean Brand X suddenly vanished as they can be still found in most major grocers. Due to their nature as an army, Brand X also has a presence in the Pantheon.
  • It should be first said that Brand X has its mascots look a bit too... similar to a real genocidal army that was extinguished. The army even has this Strange Salute where they cross their arms into an X repeatedly. One wonders who the hell made this during the marketing. The irony would have doubled if Brand X was called Brand Z instead. That is not to say the army itself is at the forefront of Brand X as the mascot is its leader, Lady X. Lady X's true identity is Priscilla Pusly, a failed mascot of a recalled prune brand who desperately wanted to have a place amongst the Ikes again. Then she wanted world domination, so there goes that sympathy. Despite Lady X being presented as a Ms. Fanservice, her true appearance is that of a hideous Gonk woman. This decision for an objectively ugly mascot also makes a person wonder who was in charge of marketing.
Random troper: Who the hell would like a mascot based off of actual Nazis- PUT YOUR HAND DOWN OVER THERE!
  • Melkor is the majority shareholder of Brand X Industries after putting down 65 million for it. Not that he likes the food that Brand X creates but because it's so putrid, he had Brand X be sold to prisons and labor camps to feed their impoverished prisoners at a decent price. Surprisingly, this business strategy worked and Melkor made some good cash. As the majority shareholder, Melkor has more say in the company, with his authority being rivaled with the Brand X Industries CEO or Lady X herself. There are many other business decisions that Melkor had Brand X perform, some of which may have people raise an eyebrow. Melkor goes after the gullible crowd who go into echo chambers that turn them into extremists since he considers them an easy target. He knows that many times, being presented as an ally to those you wish to harm is more effective than antagonism, so he tries hooking dumb folk with Brand X so their health could be ruptured. He spreads conspiracy to this crowd on how brand foods contain microchips that will brainwash them, then telling them generic brands are the only safe foods to eat. He even had Brand X partner up with questionable groups that these insane crowds enjoy. Just like Melkor predicted, these people ate it up. Or better to say, they ate Brand X up. Melkor is giddy to see the amount of undiagnosed cancer that he brought to millions.
”Anti-consoomer”: I believe that the demon Moloch controls the high elites of society, attacking the loyal servants of God with evil propaganda. That’s why this world should be governed by righteous leaders who respect the traditional ways which our nation was founded on.
”Melkor: Yeah, I’m with you my fellow God-loving buddy. Can you eat some Brand X now? This week, the company is donating to more conversion camps.
    ”Anti-consoomer”: How based.
  • Reviewers of all kinds from I Hate Everything to JonTron were appalled by the presence of Brand X in the Pantheon because they found the source material where Brand X came from the worst thing they had ever seen and also the effective horror film. It was enough for these reviewers to question if the TV Tropes Pantheon had standards anymore on who would be let in. It is their job as reviewers to critique something with their drawn opinions through a quippy sarcastic personality. So when they drew the line at freaking Brand X, a person knows harder than if they had their digital avatars crossed their arms. The reviewers knew they could only express their unhappiness towards Brand X being here though the Nostalgia Critic of all people took it further. He angrily demanded that the Pantheon have higher standards for deities, to not follow the popular or undesirable to instead prop up "art" in its place. A more diverse deity pool is welcomed by anyone though Nostalgia Critic wants to create a movement that will place a filibuster on ascension just because he hated Foodfight! that much. Maybe his getting stabbed by JonTron for reviewing the movie may be fueling his anger.
Nostalgia Critic: I got bit by that guy with shark teeth, so do you think I want him as my neighbor?!
  • Richard Blaine and Indiana Jones have resembled too much like Dex Dogtective who led the effort to stop their advance long ago (a decade by the time of this writing believe it or not). So to make sure these two men do not get in their way, Brand X has tried to slip into their mouths with poison one way or another with Mr. Clipboard doing the deed. However, no matter how many drinks they spike there are always some Nazis barging in to cause a mess beforehand. That made Brand X's leadership particularly pissed at Nazis for these constant interruptions, funnily not looking at their reflections. The Lunch Lady had enough and jumped on a Nazi who proceeded to scream as a tiny ugly creature was biting him.
  • Judge Doom has gotten along well with Brand X for their fellow genocidal ways. Not that he wants to eat Brand X at all, but he finds relatability with the Brand X leaders anyhow for wanting to exterminate corporate-owned mascots from respectively different mediums. It got to the point the two people got together with Lady X driving her mechanical human Mr. Clipboard toward their meeting spot. Doom was a bit disturbed by the movements of Mr. Clipboard, almost believing that Mr. Clipboard was a toon similar to himself since the robot walked as if he sharted his pants. Also, Mr. Clipboard looks like Judge Doom on a receding hairline. Doom was particularly interested in the Exobytes that Brand X created since they intentionally look like mobile mosquitos... for some reason. The Dip could be carried by these Exobytes, ejecting the Dip in numerous ways as a result. Judge Doom says that would surely kill as many mascots as possible as Brand X has shown their brutality in warfare. Roger Rabbit felt a disturbing chill creep up his back.
  • Fred Flintstone is an Ike due to being at the forefront of a famous cereal. He would have wanted to be an Ike for cigarettes though Fred was wisely advised to get away from that. So when he saw Brand X mow down his other Ike brethren with missiles that blew their limbs apart, he was horrified. Fred Flintstone was unable in to participate in the battle since he was taken by Brand X soldiers and waterboarded for information on the U.S.D.A's defenses. When it was all said and over, Fred was still shaken over what had happened. Not because he was waterboarded with the blood killed Ikes, but because it reminded the Flintstone of his disturbing past. Fred Flintstone did participate in genocide after all. He thinks that it is likely karma that brought that harrowing experience upon himself.
Lieutenant X: Seeing this disgusting caveman choke on the blood of filth makes me feel gloriously aroused if I do say so myself.
  • Popeye once found his favorite spinach brand missing from the shelves, replaced with Brand X to his dismay. So Popeye was so pissed over this, he went to the world where Ikes dwelled and began to beat the crap out of the entire Brand X army there. Popeye did this all without eating the spinach himself. After punching through nearly everyone, it was then given to Popeye’s attention that the brand mascot of his spinach was there and informed him that Brand X did not have them removed. They were just moved to the section right beside where they used to be and Popeye went into a rage for no reason. Popeye then sheepishly left the Ikes, bought his spinach (look at those inflated prices), then left without wanting to acknowledge that little episode. Brand X still rue Popeye for defeating them so brutally, cementing to them the stranglehold that brand products have at stores compared to generic brands. That said, they want to place a stranglehold in stores for their brand instead.
  • Burns wanted cheap cafeteria food to give to his workers and at the same time, made it look like their health problems were not because of his horrific nuclear power plant management. So to stop authorities from investigating something so severe, it would be less severe to be investigated by food inspectors. Ironically, the food that the power plant served to people was contaminated with radiation, so being replaced by Brand X saved lives if anything. Not to say the workers are happy over this, though the vending machines still being present made up for that. Burns was given an entire promotional video on the benefits of eating Brand X though his copy was stolen in an act of tactical espionage. Whoever wants to steal a Brand X promotional video must either hate them or wanted to save everybody from seeing it/
Mr. Burns: Brand X isn't that bad! Here, I will try. See? Brand X is a completely healthy and-
Burns is seen having a seizure in the ER soon afterward.
  • The Evil Queen has relied on Brand X for key ingredients in her poisonous concoctions. She experimented with pouring as many unhealthy substances as she could and after going through the aisles of a typical American grocery store, she found that Brand X seemed to have had great synergy with poisons. It is a foodstuff, and its toxic nature makes it unnoticeable to testers plus being plain enough to not taste odd. For this, she thanked the American consumers for allowing such a product to exist so that she could attempt to poison Snow White once again. Yet the Evil Queen failed again by putting it on an evil apple. Snow White may be the fairest in the land, it is not synonymous with stupidity.
  • Sanji was initially attracted to Brand X because there was a hot lady as a mascot though came to the ghastly realization that the food is absolute shit to eat. The cook does not have any notions against food in the supermarket, though he thought there were some standards to it all. A strikingly gorgeous lady on the cover is what holds him back from thinking he made a complete waste of a purchase. His creed of honor would not have allowed him to waste Brand X no matter how plain it tasted, so Sanji went to work to make it edible. It took a grueling few hours, though what came out of his Brand X was one of Sanji's typically delicious meals that make anyone salivate for it. Not to say that Sanji thought there were no better ingredients outside of Brand X to use, though he still bought it the next time he went to the supermarket. The packaging showed the leg of Lady X, so it was game over for him by that point.
  • The Hedgies raided a van that curiously was filled with Brand X within it. Thinking it was just some regular food, the animals tried eating but found themselves completely debilitated the next day. They were all sure that the Brand X they ate was secretly a pesticide set up by pest control. In truth, Brand X was so unhealthy their weaker animal stomachs were not able to handle it that well. They were able to stomach it fine later though still are apprehensive after the ordeal.
Verne: Brand X is horrible! Let's go back to eating our usual supply of food!
Verne glances at their pile of food.
Verne: I've made a huge mistake.
  • Brand X is what Chin ate as he mowed down millions of communists in his crusade against the Chinese government. Why Chin ate it because Brand X Industries gave it to him for free for his "patriotic" actions. Despite fighting against socialism, Chin was willing to be paid for his contributions. That is not to say that Chin likes eating Brand X though he would rather not starve while mowing down CCP soldiers. The reason Brand X was essentially sponsoring Chin for genocide is that as a corporation, they do not believe their corporate interests flourish in a communist world despite brands still being a thing in communist nations. Especially when Brand X would be at risk due to their unhealthy natire. It is easy to explain that Brand X wants to be on the side of corrupt executives than corrupt governments who would monitor food consumption like themselves. So they are hoping Chin can end communism by fueling him with their excess produce.
Lady X: I found something interesting. If you say *censored by the TV Tropes Pantheon morale committee*, you get bleeped out. See? Now try saying *censored by the TV Tropes Pantheon morale committee* too.
  • "Brand X, Brand X. It's simple and plain. Brand X, Brand X, it's different but all the same."
