Just For Fun / What Are the Contributors Real Names?

Go To

"I've got a theory: it doesn't matter. What can't we face if we're together?"

Let me answer about a hundred e-mails here, so I don't get another hundred on the same topic. Yes, some of the contributors are authors published in the genres of horror, science fiction, and romance. Yes, some of the contributors are working in TV in writing and production. No, I will not tell you which are who. Most want the anonymity because the Wiki can be edited by anyone, and they don't want things going out under their byline that may not be what they wrote. An entry has no more "authority" than it can earn by its own content. ~Gus

Besides, that means the rest of us can pretend to be somebody too...

For complete home addresses, personal cell numbers, and credit card numbers see Where Are You From?.

Exceptions:

  • 40SecondsLater: Elizabeth, more commonly known as Liz or Lizard. Not Lizzy.

  • 99Hedgehog: Niall says hello.

  • Aaron Aaronson: Kamarasti. Apparently it means 'true love', I don't know.

  • AC Drawings: Reginald Mousa (first and middle) and it looks like I'm he only one with either name. WOOT! I'm unique. You may call me MOSES, ADVISOR TO THE KING!

  • Acebrock: Alex Brock. What? I'm lazy with my usernames...

  • Saya Aensland: Saija. Write it in cursive and take away the dots above the I and J, and it becomes "Saya".

  • Achurai Odin. yeah

  • The Ace Of Scarabs: ...Just another Chris. Looks like there are a lot of us here.

  • Ack Sed: 'Tis Colin. Okay, but it lacks... gravitas. I also have a surname that I never really learned to pronounce properly.

  • Action Shakespeare: Jordan De Vries...one day I hope that will mean something!

  • Adam850: I think I have you beat for un-inventive: Adam is my given name. Maybe TV Tropes is a Weirdness Magnet?

  • The Advertisement Server : Aka Googleads.g.doubleclick.net

  • Adene: Elke. I've nevermet another Elke in my life. Ever. D:

  • Aejemy: Ande. Though my father did want to name me Anastasia (for no reason whatsoever, he is just nuts).

  • Aela: Michaela. Am I the only one again?

  • Aenima: Juan Iván. Juan is the Spanish equivalent to John. Iván is the Russian equivalent of John, then latinized. So Yeah.

  • Aerodactylus: I'm...Adam. Also. But I bet I have all the other Adams beat in terms of weirdness.

  • afaz: Allie when a girl, Seph when a guy. Alexander does the trick these days.

  • afiendishthingie Laura - such an uninspired name, I know.

  • Ajardoor: It's Michael. Like the saint. I'm part Italian, part Irish. Yeah, I'm Catholic (Lapsed).

  • Akiba: Name's Devon (NOT like the English county [which is pronounced "de-vahn"]; my name's pronounced like "Devin." I'm American). Other Code Names: Mongoose, M, Bobo (don't ask about that one), Captain de Face (AKA Cap'd in da Face; my friends started calling me that after one of 'em shot me in the face with an airsoft pistol. So Yeah).

  • alexduckie: A chick (hence the "duckie") named Alex (hence the "alex"). Alternatively called Lex Luthor, Brainiac, or Boss, despite her Lawful Good alignment.

  • alfinchkid: Alex. Last name Finch. Hence the username.

  • Aline: It's... Aline. Boring, but simple. Also, only common in Brazil and France, which is a good thing.

  • Alliterator: Another Adam here. Quite boring, really.

  • alphamemelord69: I'm not gonna tell you, and if anyone leaks it I will murder your house

  • Altruist: Heather, named after a flower in Brigadoon.

  • Alan: This troper's name is actually Roger.

  • Alas Dear Coriander: My name's actually Lin Ruo Yi, but most call me Caroline (parents wanted me to fit in with the other english-speaking-people).

  • aleranphantasmagoria: Josephine; Josey or Joey is acceptable.

  • Allan Aokage: Allan. It means exit in Welsh if given a different pronunciation. Dammit.

  • Almafeta: Exactly What It Says on the Tin. Almafeta's my surname.

  • Amarys: Oriana Guinevere. Yes really. I am named for Two princesses.

  • Amelon1: Julia.

  • Aminatep: Dmitrij. Al least I'm original on this very wiki.

  • Amuro NT 1: A Chris over here, one who's a little frustrated at having such a common name.

  • Ana Sofia: Ana Sofia. Yeah.

  • An Ceithre Marcach: Dean "The Captain" Buckley.

  • Andrew Leprich: I couldn't think of a snappy handle when I registered, so I just went with my real name. >_> (And, hey, look, Ununnilium and I share the same first name).

  • Anddrix: Sheridan Turner.

  • Andyroid: Andrew Powell. Not very inventive, I know. And hey, another freakin' guy named Andrew!

  • Andy Waltfeld: Wait, this means I'm the only one of the Andy Triumvirate that used a legitimate alias! (Real name's Michael, by the way.)

  • Andyzero: Andy. ...there's a lot of Andy's here, apparently. Hmm. The "zero" came from my AOL days where every name had to have some number attached. I chose "00" because; hey, if it's two zeros, I'm not "adding" a number, so it's really just my name! (I was 10 years old.)

  • Angelus: Some people call me a Firefly Some call me the gangster of love. Some people call me Maurice. My parents call me Casey James when I piss them off.

  • Anime Dutchess: ...Elaine. I bet you weren't expecting that.

  • Anna Morgause: No, it's not Anna; it's Alexis. I like my real name, but most people just assume my name is 'Anna' and I just go with the flow. I also detest when people as me how my name is spelled. There is only one proper way to spell "Alexis". Oh, and "Morgause" isn't my last name, either.

  • Anomaly: Jacob, or Ben. Both are equally valid, though for different reasons. After all, which name can be truly said to be "real"? The one given us by our parents, when we are still strangers to them? Or the one we choose for ourselves?

  • Ansela: It's Kimberley. Yes, that second 'e' is meant to be there. No, I am not a pink ranger. I despise pink. I prefer my internet handle.

  • Ansoro: Antonia. Last name begins with "Sor-". Yup.

  • Aque: It's Dorothy, yet the first one to call me that is going to cause his or her beloved to go "Noooooooooooooooooo!" It also applies to every diminutive of my given name. Going to be a famous fantasy writer, so you better remember that!

  • Arc9: First name's Jules. Last name translates literally into "Of Beautiful Leaf of Faith" from French, which makes for quite a long name.

  • Arcee6: Milly, Call me 'Mil' without permission and you die.

  • Archi-Spiro=Streptus — IRA in New York City

  • Arima Reiji: David. I empathized a little too much with the His and Her Circumstances character, thus the handle.

  • Arkady: That is my real name, dammit! Why does no-one believe me? It comes from the Greek for "Paradise". My last name is English, which is confusing, because I'm only half-English. (And half German.)

  • Arnoldmcguire 335: It's Christian Edmon, and I'm not giving out my last name, for privacy reasons and because some coward at Reddit keeps harassing me there by leaving distasteful anger-inducing messages (Being called an Pinoy autistic faggot is one of them AND IT GETS ANNOYING EVERY TIME) and then deleting their username there so they don't get caught by authorities. (It happens when it happens, ugh.) Internet Harassment IS EVIL IN ANY WAY.

  • Arrow: Jarel. Frustrating fact: I'm named after Superman's dad. Fun fact: my mom came up with the idea, and my dad, who is as big a geek as I am, was the one who fought for a different spelling so life in grade school wouldn't be hell.

  • Art Fever: They call me Freddy, or Fro for short ('cause I'm prone to wearing an afro from time to time).

  • Asim: My given name, which I adore, is Woodrow. My name in the Society for Creative Anachronism, and the name I go by when performing Raqs Sharqi, aka Belly Dance is Asim.

  • Ashki: Brandon, not sure if there are any of those around here.

  • AshlynNyx: Kaitlyn, though no one ever calls me that. I actually go by K.D.

  • Asmaria Moon: Erika. Spell it with a C. C what happens.

  • Astra Kiseki: R. Mooney. I prefer using my surname for the most part, even though my first name is pretty. Easier to remember and less likely to have someone else with that name.

  • A Sus Nun Company: My name is Thomas Patterson and I'm asking you: Can you hear those cavalry drums hijacking your equilibrium?

  • Atagamay: Katie, but just call me Atagamay or 'Gamay. Everyone else online does!

  • Atsime: Elyse, with an y. I'd prefer to be called Atsime, though.

  • Attilargh: Ville. It's not spelt anywhere near like "vile", thank you very much.

  • Atticus Blackwolf: Deanne Margaux. I sadly have had all sorts of people butcher the pronunciation. I was voted "Most Likely to Marry a Guy Named Smith" in highschool.

  • Avencri: Hugo Arrambide. Got a rare last name where I live. ^^

  • Awesome Zombie 22: Jordan Rose Palen. No, not that Palin. Or that one.

  • A Xavier B: Austin Xavier Bell.

  • Axioanarchist: Brian. Yadda yadda yadda.

  • Azukar: Joel. But You Should Know This Already.

  • Azreal: My first name is Ryan. Not Brian, not Ryann with two "n"s like this psycho chick I know....Ryan. Means "prince to be king" in Gaelic, and adding an extra N does NOT CHANGE THAT!

  • Azvolrien: It's Megan. Anyone who knows me in real life will probably be able to work out my identity going solely from that and the description on my page.

  • Banana Pancakes: Michael Bagamery, a name I once hated, but that has really grown on me.

  • Bang!: Kyle-Patrick Dominic von Tobac, son of the Tobac clan, and youngest of the Hunt clan. Oldest grandson of a medicine man (You might say Magical Native American), whose first name is my middle name, and youngest son of an old diesel mechanic, whose first name is my second first name.

  • Baseballfan1456: Jay. A name that I, my dad, and my grandfather all share...and I intend to pass it on to my son if I ever have one >_> Also, before you ask, no it's not short for anything

  • Beatriz: Is Exactly What It Says on the Tin; a Spell My Name With a Z version of Beatrice. Is actually Maria Beatriz, but most people call me Bea.

  • Believe It Or Not: Ryan, a fairly boring name, but once known as Aviano for a brief period in high school

  • Belphegor: Pantxika - Pant-she-ka]. It's a Basque name.

  • Belzeber And Berial (usually the one I use. . .): Cynthia. The username comes from my love of to-japan-and-bacj translations, being "Beelzebub" and "Belial".

  • Biffbiffley: Ben. Yah, that's it. plain old Benjamin. But everyone calls me Ben.

  • Black Dragon: I'm Christian. I'm also an Agnostic, but that's another story.

  • Bladed Smoke: Just plain old Harry over here.

  • Blake Diamond: Blake Gerald Diamond II, at your service.

  • BlakeIsHere: Lucas Blake Ashton-Milne, like to call myself King Blake VI & I for fun.

  • Bicker: Devin, already a rare-ish name as far as I'm aware with an even rarer spelling. My Eighth grade History teacher actually tried to CORRECT it several times, replacing the I with an O. No sir I don't like it.

  • Big Daddy P: Philippe. Yay for uncommon name. It's pronounced Phee-leep. Don't call me Phil. And yes it is a french name. VIVE LE FRANCE.

  • Bighoggi14: Doug. Yes, like the TV show. Yes, I did like the show, yes, I do remember the theme song, and no, I don't need you to sing it for me. Thank you.

  • Bisected8: My given name is Erin (not the one my parents first gave me ;) ).

  • blackcat: I have an extremely unusual first name and a very unusual last name and like having an easy to spell and pronounce handle like blackcat.

  • Blackmoon: Damian. Please call me Blackmoon. Or Vincent, if you speak French. Anything but my actual name, please. Only hearing my name when I'm in trouble or when the effin' Omen is on TV has made it a wee bit unpleasant for me.

  • Blade Tiger: Alastair. No, not like that guy from Dragon Age: Origins.

  • Thebobmaster: Tim. Yes, Tim. The only reason Bob is in my username is because I was trying to make the most generic name I could think of sound as cool as possible. I was 13, cut me some slack.

  • Brain Damage: Name's Jesse. Born and raised in Metro Detroit (and took the midnight train going anywhere)

  • Bright Blue Ink: Haley. I won't put down my last name because I'm not famous...YET...

  • Bring The Noise: Lewis Muirhead. I have written columns for SmashWrestling.com and the sadly defunct FuriousRage.com in the past, so I feel faintly justified in including the last name.

  • Bob 0 Bobington: I am Pope. *James* Pope.
  • Bookhnbbit: Another Katrina, actually. Usually called "Trina" by friends and family, though. Remember, for I shall one day be a novelist! Hopefully.

  • Bryce Bryans My name is Erik. Notice there is no "C" at the end. It's a Scandinavian word that means "Tyrant". Trust me, it's ironic.

  • brodyaga: My name is Sevastian. I like telling people it's disgustingly common in the Motherland, but in reality it is stupid in all countries and belongs only to myself, three Orthodox monks, and a teenage Muscovite hipster. (I think I got off lucky, though, my parents almost named me Ignat.)

  • bserkii: The name's Jeffrey. As in, Jeffrey "no-you-don't-get-my-last-name-at-least-not-here" If'n you look, you can find it...

  • Bucco Babe: Brenda. There are very few Brendas around these days under the age of 50, and I'm not one of them.

  • Buckbuck2: Boyce. Hooray for rare names! As far as I can tell, it's a Scottish or Irish name that's a corruption of the French word for woods, bois, pronounced "bwah" if you were interested. However, my name is still pronounced exactly how it looks.

  • Bufuman: My name is Brandon. I can't quite decide if my actual name or my username is more embarrassing. But at least in real life, I can go by my middle name, Allen.

  • Buttahflah: V is not for Vendetta, its for Vanessa, and I appear to be the only one on this page...for now. Interestingly enough, the person above me has my brother's name, and the person above him has my brother's middle name...

  • Blatch: Gordon. Nuff said.

  • Blitzkrieg: Darcy Roark Stanford. Gaelic for "Dark Champion of the Stone Ford" Except my parents were just kinda bored, and don't actually speak any Gaelic.

  • BlizzardeyeWonder: Monita. It means honored in Sanskrit. (oh the irony.) This also gave rise to the... unfortunate... nickname of Lolita. I actually kinda like it though.

  • Belle-Mage: No one has ever been able to pronounce my name correctly...so I'll say it's "Kimmy".

  • Blueeyedrat: If you must know, the name's Bryan. That's all I'll say. And it's with a Y, alright?

  • Bishop Rodan: Josh.

  • Buttercupistiny I'm a Shannon.

  • bwburke94: Brendan Burke.

  • Cailleach: Melissa. My initials spell MAD. I'm a huge fan of this

  • Caits Meow: Allyson. I used to be very, very particular about the spelling, but I'm used to people writing it as "Allison" or "Alison" by now.

  • Cambdoranononononono: Zander, short for Alexander. I believe my parents picked the nickname when they realized how ridiculously common "Alexander" was for my generation.

  • Caleb The Time Traveler: Caleb's Full name is Caleb Matthew Raphael Anthony Lancaster and to this day still asks his parents "Why the multiple Middle Names?" He plans to at some point throw "The Time Traveler" into his name so he could become: Caleb Matthew The Raphael Time Anthony Traveler Lancaster, or some variation there upon.

  • Callahan: Karen.

  • Callista: Sofie Louise K. (middle name) M. (last name). I'm too easy to find, so no more info for you about that. Apparently I'm the only one on facebook to have my name - a.k.a. possibly the only person in the world. Fun fact: I have two sisters who also have four names each.

  • Cameoflage: Hilary L. Pseudonym.

  • Camilla: Liane. Make sure to put the 'e' at the end and the i at the front.

  • Caped Luigis Yoshi: Just an even Steven passing through.

  • Captain Planette: Esther, although nicknamed and called Lisa by all. I'm not quite sure how my parents got "Lisa" from "Esther," but they said it first and it stuck for life.

  • Captain Wow: Conán, but he dropped the fada and goes by Conan now. No, my parents aren't Robert E. Howard fans. It's Gaelic for "little wolf". Anyone who knows me will probably figure out who I am just by that, considering I've never met another Conán in my entire life.

  • Carls493: Carlos Pierre Rollins. My entire name gives off a Spanish/French/German vibe, despite me being none of the three. I use both my first name and my troper name to know who's calling me. If they call me "Carlos", they're most likely family or public areas. If I'm called "Carls", then it's likely from most, but not all, of the friends I have both online & offline.

  • Cassius335: Alan John Wilkinson (Usually omits the 'John')

  • Cat22: Catherine... spelled the old fashioned way... not Katherine, Kathryn, Cathareinne or any other crazy way. My maiden last name sucks, and so does my married name. Let's just say 3rd graders can make fun of either one in the span of 2 seconds.

  • Catfish42: Robert. Commonly nicknamed Rob and Robbie.

  • Caturdayz: Cody J. Crawford, I abbreviate my middle name because I have a distaste for it.

  • ccorb: Caroline

  • Tropers/Charred_gp: Garrett Parkhurst. As you may have guessed, the gp is my initials, and the charred is for various reasons, the best known being my short temper and various Berserk Buttons

  • Chalcedony: The name's Monique. Pretty common name in my area, although I seem to be the only one on this page for now and most people misspell it as either Monica or Moniek. I don't really get how they do it, since the French spelling is pretty much the dominant way of writing my name where I live. It's gotten better with time, though.

  • Civanfan: Vance. It means "swamp-dweller." Thanks, Dad.

  • C Fury: Simon. Just... meh (no-ones asking why I use a pseudonym)

  • Cheese.com: Most common name out there- Emily. So people just call me by my surname- Snell.

  • Cheshire Grinne: Molly. Am I really the first one? I knew it was a pretty rare name, but wow...

  • CKY: Chin Kee Yong, or 陈纪扬 in Chinese.

  • Cleverdan: Ian. The only Ian on this page, at the time I am writing this. I feel special.

  • Clever Pun: Spencer. The only one so far, but now I feel unoriginal because the previous entry has half my screen name and the same opening thought. Also, while we're here, the name "Spencer" looks stupid with two "S"s in it.

  • CM Sed: Chris - though most people just call me Sed, a shortening of my long and often mispronounced and misspelled German last name.

  • Col2009ie: Colm. Rhymes with Gollum. Also answers to Col or Collie. My name's the same as an Irish sportsman who is now a TV pundit.

  • Comelovesleep: Genevra. Usually referred to as 'Gen,' since no one can pronounce my damn name. "Come, love, sleep" is from a questionable translation of a kitsune legend.

  • Corrupt Male Menace: Calum P Cameron. Take away the 'P' and it's a clever angram... And for about the three of you that actually wondered, I am indeed that one.

  • Cosmic M: Matt Goldberg: The M stands for Matt, I also hate the fact that I have the most stereotypical/common Jewish name in the book, I would have rather it was more uncommon a last name.

  • Crazael: (Pronounced kraz a el) Just the Random Insanity of God, nothing special

  • Crazy Dawg: Oliver Conway... Or perhaps it's not actually my real name, and that I'm just adding a fake name to increase my anonymity? Or maybe it's an elaborate gambit of mine to offer up my name as a fake name in order to draw attention from the fact that it's my real name? I will leave you to ponder this, and while you do, I will whisper in your ear "checkmate".

  • Crazy Dreamer: M. Alan Thomas II, at your service.

  • Crazyrabbits: Alex. Just Alex.

  • Crustimoney Proseedcake: Patrick Beverley. But Crustimoney Proseedcake is my true name under Eris.

  • Crystal Glacia: Jade. My birth name is basically the Chinese equivalent of Jane Williams.

  • Cut To Sleep: Вадим Баев (Vadim Bayev).

  • Cybele: Alexandra is my name, eating fried chicken to make me tame.....=_=;

  • Da Nuke: Acoyani. Yes, In fact, the funniest question I've ever been asked was "Acoyani, what's your name?"...

  • Daibhid C: Real name David K. Yes, This Is My Name on Foreign.

  • Dante Dyavol: Gable. Not Gabe, not Gabel, not Gabriel. Just Gable.

  • Das: Daniil (Daniel) Pavlovich Adamow. Transcriptions vary widely enough. And the username is a completely random series of three completely random letters which are completely random.

  • Davis J 3608: Phil. Or Davis. Depending on the day. Also responds well to "Rex".

  • Deadbeatloser22: Jen. If I told you anything more I'd have to kill you.

  • Death To Squishies: Marcos. Yeah, my dad's side is Mexican, but aside from that, I'm very much an American fellow. My moniker was Alex (since my middle name is Alejandro) up until middle school.

  • Dec's first name is Sara, middle name Beth, last name rare enough that she'd be on the first page of Google results if she gave it out. No, no she's not gonna tell you what it is.

  • Def Revenge 24601: My name is Dylan, and all I can say about my last name is that The government can never spell it right.

  • Dentaku: Patrick Dehuyver.

  • Desmond1323: Jared Kenneth De Zarn. Please capitalize the Z...yes, it's important.

  • Disembob: My name is Nathan. I go by Nathan.

  • Dissentrix: Second name is Claude. I won't say my first name, but people like to call me Zorg.

  • Da Nuke: Acoyani Garrido Sandoval. I'm Mexican, but my name is weird even for Mexican standards.

  • Dark: Phil Spear. Yes, like the weapon

  • dexterian120: Emma, though my parents were going to name me Kaitlin before everyone else got the same idea. Funny story: I was born in February, so that Christmas, my parents bought this ornament, and painted Kaitlin on it. It's still on our tree, and ai have to explain it all the time. We carried in the tradition of buying me an ornament to represent each year, except with the right name.

  • djkates: Real name David J Kates. Makes my username feel a lot less original, doesn't it?

  • Doc Strange: Ryan. I really wish I had something snarky to say here, but pointing out that I don't will work just fine.

  • Doctor Nemesis: Real name Scott. I would use my real name more, but I'm trying to create a career as a Feared Evil Overlord and Master Of All I Survey (or a novelist, whichever happens first), and not many people react when I declare "Tremble Before The Awesome Power of Scott!" Trust me, I've tried. And yes, I do read a lot of comic books - why do you ask?

  • Doctor Neoraptor: Punua. Full name translated to English, Kitten Water-Axe. Yes, that's my name in English. And I haven't earned a phd yet.
    • Oh, and my middle name's Alexander, so you can call me that.
  • Dolphinleo: Leo. Because I'm a Leo and I like cats. The upside of choosing your own name :)

  • Doomlewa: I go by the name Matthew S. Goerwell (which is pronounced gore well, people usually don't get it right) and sit around and play video games or trope all day.

  • dotchan: Technically, it's 孟瑀, but my parents very wisely (on advice of a friend) Anglicized it to Mary. But of course "Mary" has Unfortunate Implications for a Fan Fiction writer, so I decided to use the name of a certain Cute Warner Sister as my Pen Name.

  • Dr Mc P: Ellie. Not really a doctor.

  • Doctor JJG: Jim. I am really a doctor, but not medical. I'm a Ph.D. in Drama with a thesis on historical films, TV and stage.

  • Dontcallmewave: David. whatever you do, don't call me "dave the wave"

  • Doubleyouteeeff: Daniel Christopher Diodati. Or Dio Dati. I'm still not sure about that.

  • Draga: Connor is my name. Named after Connor McLeod. Yes, really.

  • dragongirlhellfire: My name is Amber. I can't remember if my username has any significance, I think I just made it up because I figured nobody else would have it.

  • Dragon Khorse: The third Ashley. I also respond to Timothy, Kyon, any character from Haruhi Suzumiya and K-ON, or any variation of Ashley.

  • Drake Dark Hunter: It's Sean... I only wish I had a name I could make a witty comment on or some sort of comparison with it's meaning. Well there goes 5 seconds you won't ever get back.

  • Dragon Hawk: Ben Scott. As I say on my user page, but might as well mention it here, too.

  • Earl of Sandvich: It's not Earl. My real first name is Chris, which is common enough...

  • Eaver: My overly ordinary first name and unusual middle name form a name I'd prefer to have. (Emily + Aija = Emilija) My handle is my initials plus "er".

  • Edible Complex: Scott. I use this name all over the internet, but unfortunately some iffy food critic in Wisconsin or whatever uses it too. Had it first, I think.

  • Edom: Terry. Despite all the badass male "Terry"s in fiction, from Fatal Fury to Dragon Quest, I've never met another guy with this name. Chosen One?

  • Eggo: 'm Sara. Boring and apparently difficult for people to spell properly.

  • ejgs402: Evelyn, or Daniel, depending on whether or not present company is comfortable with my transition. username's my initials—err, my new ones.

  • Ekul - My username, but different

  • Ekuran: That's my name. Yes , not very Imaginative, but I'm not good at making up user-names. And yes, I know it's weird.

  • Eldritch Blue Rose: Sometimes I'm Andrew, Andy, and on the rare occasion Drew. Drew is only appropriate if you were in my English III class in high school, otherwise I find it less than flattering. Andrew is like plain ice cream, and Andy is usually reserved to people I'm close to or am in contact with for a while.note

  • Eldritch Cyber: Commonly referred to as JP. My full name is Johnathan Patrick Luna. Just calling me "Johnathan" was a Berserk Button for my parents, but "Johnathan Patrick" is rather long.

  • Electivirus: Nick Brooks. No, not Nicholas Brooks. Call me Nicholas and I swear to Arceus I'll snap your neck like a twig.

  • Electric Panda: Aidan Connolly. It couldn't get more Irish - except for the fact my mother's surname is Reilly. So, uh, Ireland.

  • Elmer36919: Takeshi Elmer Mclaughlin. Elmer is my Granddads name and my mom named me after Beat Takeshi.

  • Elihu: Javi.

  • Elk: Evan. The name is my initials.

  • Emmaliza: Emma. No real witty commentary on this one, but hey, it gets the job done.

  • Endark Culi: First name's Nicholas. Last name's Botticella, and yes, I'm aware that it's one letter different from that one famous painter.

  • Enzeru: My first name is actually my troper handle (which is in Japanese) in Spanish.

  • Eponymous Kid: Dillon Lowther. Because "Dylan" is a girl's name. My name sounds sort of fake, though, like the kind an American character in an anime series might have... Guaranteed to be the same Eponymous Kid you might have seen somewhere else.

  • Erkhyan: Franck. Call me Francky and you're dead.

  • Eruditionfish: Lars. And I believe I'm the first Lars here. I'd put up my last name, but it can't be written in the English 26-letter alphabet. So there.

  • Evalana: Joanna. Definitely not with an 'h,' although I have been serenaded with "Johanna" from Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street on occasion.

  • Ev Carey: Miri. Yes, like the one-shot Star Trek character.

  • Evil Midnight Lurker: Depending on how you look at it I have either three first or three middle names. Out of zillions of choices, I go by Sam.

  • Excel-2009: James A. Calwell III. The A doesn't stand for anything.

  • Expthka: Kaylee. I'm named after a woman who worked at a pet store my mother visited about a week before my birth. I wonder if she knows.

  • False Dawn: Eimear Margaret Bridget C-. My favourite thing about my name is that, because I live in Ireland and it's a traditional Irish name, I can use either 'C-' or Ní Ch—-. Both are perfectly legal, although the latter is a bit trickier.

  • Farmelle: Anna. Four letters — well, two letters, really, both repeated twice. Same backward as forwards. Apparently very forgettable — many people who she meets who she isn't close friends with can remember many others recently met, but always have to ask twice for my name.

  • Fdiaperhead: First name's a variant of Katherine, second's the name of a Hindu goddess. I gave you clues, now go away.

  • Fear The Wolf: David - if one of my nicknames isn't involved. I'm best known by the nickname Ragnarok.

  • Felius: Felipe. Quite common name here in Brazil.

  • Final Gamer: Arran - After the island famed for whisky. Yes I am Scottish, no I do not like whisky, no I do not like haggis, no I hate Braveheart, but I do love wearing a kilt.

  • Fishsicles: Joshua, but I have spent years only referred to by "JT".

  • Flareons: Andrea. But I prefer to be called Andy for short.

  • Fluff: Seems to be the only Russell on this page. I feel special. If my parent's genders had been the other way round, I'd be Russell Jan-confusing-Lithuanian-mess. But I'm not. Good times.

  • Fly: Holly, like the plant. I suppose it's a Meaningful Name because I'm also leathery, prickly, regularly come out in large round red spots, and am only popular around Christmas.

  • Folamh3: Fionn. Not Finn. Not Fiona. Not "Fun". Not "Funny". Fionn. And it's pronounced something like "Fyun", if you'r interested.

  • Foolish Catalyst: Opal Koboi. No, wait. Belinda.
Belinda Frances Bridget Cafferkey- Sorry, that's all you're getting. Interestingly, nobody on this page to date shares any of my five names. Those of you who understand my username, I love you. I use it all over the internet, so if it ever feels that there's an army of people with the same name, be not afraid, it's only me.

  • Theformidableq: Katrina. Yes like the hurricane. Please reference it, that never gets old.

  • Four-Star: Call me Tito.

  • Frankie Elric: Felice Domney

  • Freezair For A Limited Time: Ally. Short not for Allison, but Alexandria—but try to call me Alex, and I must break you. I also have the Inconvenient Middle Name "Dee," which is an OK first name, but utterly fails as a middle name due to it sounding like the letter. I have to constantly explain that it's NOT my initial, it's the real-deal full name.

  • Freezer: Robert. That's all you're getting. I like you guys, but not that much.

  • Freya: Yup. That's it. Just Freya. Not named after the goddess, incidentally - named after the writer Freya Stark.

  • Freya-Lise: Freya... without the Lise.

  • Freya Crescent: Miranda Wade. Yes! First one on the list!

  • Friar Sam: Samuel William Cardwell. Not awfully imaginative but who cares? No one that's who! Not sure where I got Friar from, but I reckon it sounds kinda catchy!

  • Full Metal Cookies: It's Katanna. Most people just call me Kati or Alfons though. Yes I was named after the sword, no don't call me that unless I know you well. Just call me Fonsy or FMC or something.

  • Fuse Nevis: Alex. Four letters, two vowels, two consonants. All I've ever needed.

  • Gadeel: Manuel or Alejandro. Either of those names are used with about equal frequency so it doesn't matter which one is used.

  • Galen Dev: My name is Galen. Big surprise, right? At work, I'm known to some as "Jack" which is actually short for "Jackass". You don't get the "Dev" part, you're just going to have to figure that one out yourself.

  • Gambit508: Jonathan.....not Jon, not Jonny, Jonathan, last name is Jarocki

  • Garguillian's name is Jenny. She really, really doesn't like being called Jennifer.

  • GCO: Billy. Short, to the point, and much better than Billiam.

  • Gecko: Emma, and despite it being one of the current most popular baby names, my parents say it was pretty original at the time.

  • Gendoikari1: I have been Roland, Beowulf, Achilles, Gilgamesh. I have been called a hundred names and will be called a thousand more before the world goes dim and cold. Actually, just "Kaz" (shortened, for I won't tell you my full name, internets!), although I usually am called God/Gendoikari 1/John Smith.

  • Geoduck: Robert. Not Rob or Bob.

  • Generic Troper: My name...is Donald. That's all you're getting, hypothetical, crazed internet stalker who I assume exists, and who i assume is reading this page. No, not you, the other stalker From what I've heard, its one of the most common names in the country I live in, so good luck with that.

  • Genios: Jack (Take That!, Galen!) . As in Black, Bauer, Samurai, and all those other Jacks out there. When people talk about living up to their namesake, I just ask "Which one?".

  • Gilboron: My full name is Arne Daniël Kristel Dhollander Maes, though I prefer writing Arne DK Dhollander. The last one sounds catchy.

  • Gina In The Kings Road: Rebecca T.

  • Girl Without Hat: Cosima, with a middle name and two surnames tacked on. (Full initials are CRKE, look like CAKE when written. A lie? ...Maybe.)

  • Girl Who Says Ni: Amber. My parents WERE going to name me Daria, though.

  • gjjones: My real name is Gregory James Jones II, but you can call me either Gregory or Greg. I am a freelance musician, composer, arranger and conductor

  • Godborn: I go by Godborn on the interwebs. Ruth if you want to refer to me as soemthing less Crystal Dragon Jesus. It's my middle name.

  • Godot Is Waiting 4 U: Diego Armando. No, no, Stewart Haggin.

  • grammarfix is known as Jon, but will answer to John if he must. Some of his real-life work can be found on mobygames.com, and also on IMDB for some reason.

  • @{{/Gravekeeper}} Eduardo Rivera, here to add some Latin spice to your final resting place... Actually, I don't know the first thing about the keeping of graves, but way back when I was playing Ocarina of Time while trying to come up with a handle, and Dampe's alright in my book.

  • Green-Stapler Malek. Tis Arabian, it is.

  • Griffinhart - Raphael. That's neither my birth nor my legal name, but it's my name.

  • Guesss Who: Maeve. Queen of the Fey in Irish myth-and since I'm imaginative, strange, and can't stand modern life, this is another Meaningful Name.

  • Gumbal1: David. Will sometimes be called Daniel or Davey. Don't do that.

  • Hail Muffins: Rafael. Sort of generic, really.

  • Hamishnewcombe: Hamish. Surprise, surprise.

  • Hawk W: Hawk (hence the username).

  • Heart Burn Kid: You get Chris now. You get the rest when you meet me at Schooner's for a beer.

  • @{{/Heleentje}}: Heleen. That's -een as in 'main', but -een as in 'teen' is okay as well.

  • Hello Mortals: Alex. Hi, all :) Don't mind the screename, I'm not that arrogant.

  • Hershele Ostropoler: Charles. Or צבי־הערש

  • h3y-its-4lex Alex, but anything that sounds remotely like it will work.

  • High Five: Melanie.

  • Hipployta: Well it's Shevawn but the spelling is changing to its gaelic form Siobhan...just to make it harder for the masses who will pronounce it Sio-B-Ahn instead of Sha-Von and provide me with amusement.

  • hipsterkitties: My real name is Olivia, but I go by 'HEY YOU'!

  • Hirador: hey-o beetlejuice I'm Ted

  • honeybrown1976 Latanya. It rhymes with Lasagna. Otherwise, it means "the little fairy" in Russian. Yeah, I can be a bit flighty.

  • Hoshi Kami: Fernanda. Don't like it much.

  • Hourai Rabbit: Ben. The youngest one. Obviously my parents didn't expect to have any more children (really, they didn't).

  • howbigis1gb: Avinash; Avi for short

  • How Very Non Euclidean Of You: Jude

  • Hqami: Valma. Not Velma, Vilma or Alma, as it's often mispronounced.

  • Hrdcrnwo: Logan. I've only met one or two other people with my name.

  • Hummerwibble: David Johnson. Yeah, that's right. Try to track me down from that - I DARES ya.

  • Hunter 1: Sean.

  • Hydrall: Jacob.

  • I Blame Communism: Robin. With an I, thank you kindly.

  • Ichigo Pocky Chama: My real name's Rylee. I'd prefer you call me Ichigo or Ichi though.

  • Ifreann: Hi there. I'll keeping us over the One-Steve Limit. One step closer to Planet of Steves!

  • Ilke: Ilke, pronounced /ɪlkɛ/

  • Imipolex G: Kevin. Last name is unpronounceable, so I shall spare thee it.

  • Insegredious: Jimmy or Jim. James if you're so inclined, and I've been meaning to try out Jay or J.R. Like hell you all are getting my last name - not that you'd be able to find me anyway.

  • Inverted Tritone Name's Kate, sometimes called Katia, full name Kathryn. Yes, I am a music ed major. Not telling my last name, but I am not related to anyone with the same last name.

  • Iniquitus: Richard. Due to a certain dance at the school ball, some call me Rick Rock.

  • Insanity Addict

  • Ironcommando: My name's Bryan. The rest of my name is in Chinese, and I wouldn't want to mention it on the internet.

  • Ironeye: The name's Nick. No surname given, because it'd be FAR too easy for you all to track me down if I did. Let's just say it's an Italian last name based on a French word, which my family uses with a horribly mangled Anglicized pronunciation—and yet somehow gets even further from the original Italian whenever a native English-speaker reads it, resulting in jokes about me being a "Real Boy". *Shudders*

  • Isabel: My name is actually Isabel, the cooler form of Elizabeth. I try to avoid using any nicknames, since I despise most of the abbreviations of my name.

  • ixa: My name is Star; my last name is very common, as it was pulled from the side of a hardware truck (really) when my paternal grandfather came over from Italy with my father and his brothers. I am, however, half O'Connell (Irish) and half Gallo (the original Italian surname).

  • Iverum: Real name is Blake.

  • Izaiah Salter: You're looking at it. I'd prefer it if you use the American pronunciation for my given name (first "a" is soft, second "I" is silent). Also, even though my given name is Biblical, I identify as a Soft Atheist.note

  • Jacks Bot: 'Bot's handlers' real name is Glendyn. But it would really be safer to call 'Bot's handler Jack. Really.*

  • Jack Butler: That's actually my name. My publisher insists I use it for legal reasons. My grandmother calls me "Jackie", but no one else is allowed to.

  • Jadey: Lindsey. ... yeah. And because all my online names have Jade in it and lots of people call me Jade, now when people IRL call me Lindsey i think for a tiny second "Who are they calling? ... oh, me."

  • Jade Eyes 1: Megan. That's right—there's no 'h' in it. It's probably the most un-interesting spelling of one of the most common names of my generation. My middle name is Beth, but only my closest loved ones call me by that.

  • JaiNicoSockathanFujoshi: Real name's too spanish-like to be pronounced by English-speaking peple, but an unusual way to shorten it is "Ann". Also known as Annarch(y/ie). AND NO, IT'S NOT PRONOUNCED LIKE ANARCHY. It's more like a visual pun (?). I'm not actually an anarchist.

  • Jay Are Jay: @gmail.com. My name is Joseph. Ft. Lauderdale, FL as of 2009/09.

  • J Bridge: Joel Button. Long story behind the nick.

  • Jcatgrl: Jessa. I am obsessed with cats. I am a girl. Ta-da. (And there is no way in hell I'm giving my last name out, I'm not stupid.)

  • Jdreyfuss: Joe Dreyfuss. I ARE KREATIVE

  • Jezza: Jess Zhang. Female, unless my mum has been hiding something from me. Australian born Chinese. Also known as Jay. Rarely though.

  • JHM: Julian Malerman. Now that you have my Powerword... Well, I'm screwed, aren't I?

  • Jigoku Bosatsu: Jess Gulbranson... I am the author of "Antipaladin Blues," first in a trilogy of ultra-trope-conscious fantasy satires. Look for it October '09.

  • JIKTV: Jason Isaiah Kreitzer. I am the author of The JWL.

  • Jimothy Q: Patrick. Nope, haven't heard any Irish saint gags. EVER. My username comes from a very strange thought that the name Jimothy would be funny, the "Q" comes from a certain John de Lancie character.note

  • Joerc45: Joey. I guess it was obvious since its the first 3 letters of my troper name. :)

  • John Quixote: Jacob Cochrum. Yes, I am aware of the fact that I have one of the most easily mockable surnames on the planet.

  • John Z: Take a wild guess. The last name's shortened to Z more often than not because it's a rare day anyone says it right, and it used to be a big Berserk Button for me.

  • Johnny Lurg: Ben A. Simon. No relation to Paul, Neil, Carly, or Mikey.

  • Jon Ax Drayda: The first 4 letters, with A de-capitalized. My last name is the Dutch naming of a certain fish... Oh, what the heck, my name is Jona(h) Steurs. And no; it is NOT Jonathan, or Jonas. It used to be a Berserk Button... But not so much anymore.

  • Jonny D: Jonathan Ducker... yes, I didn't use much imagination for my handle. The only reason it's Jonny is that it was the first variation I came up with that wasn't taken the first time I created a username on the internet, no-one ever calls me Jonny in real life, it's Jon (no H).

  • josedanielsteller: My full name is José Daniel Steller Vargas [which should be obvious considering my username (sans the "Vargas" part)].

  • Juice Box Hero: Angela. My last name is a fruit.

  • Julia-BM: It's in her screenname, but actually spelled as Giulia.

  • Jumbled Desert: Hickory. I am quite stubborn.

  • Kaelthias: Otto with a less meaningful last name Rosenlund, though it has roots in Sweden so that means I'm just so much more viking than most others, and you.

  • Kafuka Fuura: Akagi An. True, this is just speculation, but how could so many WMGs possibly be wrong?

  • Kahran042: Samuel, not Sam or Sammy. As a side note, my first, middle and last names can all be used as first names, and all are completely inaccurate descriptions of me - my first name means "God has heard," and I'm somewhere in between agnostic and atheist; my middle name means "blonde," and I'm dark-haired; and my last name means "lawman," and I'm Chaotic Neutral with good tendencies.

  • Kaijuu: Tannis... but I'm a girl. Screenname taken from Card Captor Sakura.

  • Kaiserin Kai: My real first name name is Leanna. I have two middle names. The first is Brooke. The second... I'd rather not go into that. My last name is a bit more interesting, seeing as I share it with a certain Jewish butcher who was a suspect in a series of murders. Not to mention that one of my ancestors has the same first and last name. John is a common first name though, it's surely just a coincidence that my family is of the same religion as the suspect. Well anyways, even if it was true, it's not like it would effect me in any way... My Dad is adopted, so even if it was In the Blood it wouldn't have any bearing on my behavior, psyched you out ^_^

  • Kajeet Matthew ...yeah, too mundane of a last name even to really say anything about it and I have a google search of 76,400,000 have fun trying to find me you crazy stalkers.

  • Kalle: Jessica, like over 1,000 other girls on the planet. Though sometimes I wish my name were Kalle, if only for the supposed glory of being able to say "I have the name of a little Swedish boy!"

  • Kamui K: Norman (yeah, generic name is generic but it means strong guy) though my family name means, among other things, saber. My screen name comes from my name of choice, Kamui Kunitsuna which is shortened, sometimes to simply KK even.

  • Kanavazk Hey, it's another Alex!

  • Karalora: Kellee. The first three letters of my handle are my Real Life initials. I didn't plan it that way. I just picked the nicest-sounding combo that the random name generator offered me.

  • Kardamon: Sasha. And yes, I'm a boy. My name is a shortening of Alexander, quite common and genderless where I come from, but still...

  • Katfairy is Kate. Well, technically, she's Sarah, but I haven't used that since the day I walked into 9th grade Latin class and discovered that there were four other Sarahs. Gave me the perfect excuse; I never liked my name and I had this perfectly good middle name just sitting there. Katfairy is from a typo- I used to use the name katethefairy or katefairy on chats, then when I saw that I missed the "e", I decided I liked it. Where does Kate the Fairy come from? Well, when your name is Kate and you're living near Boston, your friends need a way to keep you separate from the other Kates. I played a fairy in Iolanthe, hence the name. Good thing I wasn't doing Yeomen at the time; being named "Kate the Harlot" might lead to misunderstandings.

  • Katie A is Amelia Kate (first and middle). Some days I like my first name, and some days I don't.

  • katiekid: Kayla,Katie/Katie-kid is a family nickname.

  • Katrani: Brittanie Alexandra (first, middle). Apparently the only one with that spelling, although I have two very common names there and my last name's common, too. The handle comes from my pen name: Katrani Merack. And no, I don't mind people as awesome as Tropers knowing who I am. ^^

  • Katrika: Kayla. The second one here. Kinda odd. Oh, yeah, I use this handle for everything I go on. It tends to be unique!

  • Katsuhagi: Rosemary. *insert Simon and Garfunkel joke about Sage and Thyme here*

  • kazokuhouou: Olivia. (It's a long story why I have a Japanese sounding handle, and one I'm not proud of.)

  • KB Karma: Coincidentally, considering who's below me, my real name is Alex as well. But most people call me KB.

  • Keliling: My name is Alexandra, but just calling me Alex is fine.

  • Keltena: Melanie. Insert interesting anecdote/amusing fact/pronunciation instructions here.

  • Kenny Man 666: Sten Magnus von Goës Karlström. Yes. For real.

  • Kerai: Cassandra Claire Costello Mullen, but I prefer to be called Cassie.

  • Kerrah: Three first names; Jere (Finnish version of Jeremy), Rikhard (Finnish for Richard) and Jalmari (Finnish version of Swedish Hjalmar).

  • Kicking K: It's Kirsten (with a short 'i'). It doesn't begin with curly c.

  • kidlitfan: I'm Beth. The nickname comes my first purchase when time and eBay were young. I was buying a child's book as a gift for my sister-in-law, and realized that I had to choose a handle. All variations on my real name, as well as my email handle were taken, so I picked kidlitfan, ie "one who enjoys children's literature." It is unusual enough that I have never found it already taken on any forum.

  • Kilyle: Alethia, Greek for "truth". Almost anywhere online that you see a Kilyle, it's me.

  • King Fez: Brandon. Not telling you my last name, other than it's REALLY common.

  • King Sonn Dee Doo: Izzy. Short for Isobel, which I do not like. Izzy means 'Isis' gift', whilst Isobel means 'God's satisfaction', and 'God is my consecration'. My last name means 'Those who dwell by the marsh'.

  • Kinitawowi: David Robinson. If you can isolate me from the millions of other David Robinsons on the planet then quite honestly you've earned the right to kill me in my sleep.

  • Kissof Camine: Robin, though I prefer being called Robbi for obvious reasons. Some call me Camine and I reluctantly accept that the name is stuck to me now.

  • Kitchingham: Jani. According to Behind The Name, it's a Finnish variant of the English name John.

  • Kitsune Inferno: Name's Corey Sheets, and yes. I also think it's a friggin' stupid name. Last name's German, which might explain my slight misanthropy... just kidding! If I ever get famous, I swear I'll go exclusively by a pseudonym or stage name.

  • Kiwikaos: David's the name, means beloved. Now if I could only convince the girl I like of this...

  • Knight Random is named Adrian, which more or less fits his personality.

  • knave was one of five boys named Andrew in his grade at school. But he's very resistant to attempts to alter it - Andy in particular is anathema to him.

  • Komodin: Richard S. No, I will not reveal what the "S" is short for. Can't get too persona, y'know?

  • Koori Renchuu Corey Ryan Lynch, my user name is the closest actually Japanese approxomation of my first and last names. Not Japanified, my name means 'little prince of the hollow'. Japanified it means 'ice mob'. Say anything about a football star, and I will hurt you so horribly.

  • K.o.R: You can call me Neil. Others call me Clive, and I've given up trying to get them to stop.

  • krasholio: Jessie. Contrary to popular belief, my name is NOT Jessica. Jessie is my legal, given birth name.

  • Korodzik: Can you pronounce Jacek Dobrzyniecki? No? Bad for you.

  • Kriegsmesser's first name is Joseph, as one may guess from the first of his Wiki handles. His last name is Heller, as one may guess from the fact that shares a last name with the author of Catch-22. His middle name is Aaron, as one may guess by being very, very lucky.

  • Krimsh's details are on my troper page, because I'm not overly concerned about such things. Also, I'm going to be an internet sensation, so better that people know who I really am so that they can stalk me more effectively.

  • Kristoph Gavin Yes: The name's Shealyn. Or... just Shea for short. Don't mispronounce it or emphasize "lyn" over "Shea"), and your life may well be spared.

  • Krrackknut: I'm Kevin.

  • Kuyukly: Benjamin Arnold. Not really, but I was named after a Benedict. Who knew? I go by Ben, regardless. I'm awesome and you'd do well to remember that.

  • Kuzlalala: To be simple, just Lala.

  • Kvschwartz: Kevin Schwartz.

  • Kyojikasshu: Just a guy named Rob. Or Robert. But not Bob. Never Bob. Even though I like this Bob.

  • lacunainc: Man, I wanted to be first to pull the Emily Dickinson quote...oh well. ("Then there's a pair of us/Don't tell— they'd advertise, you know!")

  • Lady Diahan Madoc's is Sarah. Means princess. And I'm my own darn princess. Honk if you recognize the quote, there's not enough Gerald Morris fans in the world.

  • Lady Norbert: Laura. My full real name can be found on my published works, including my blog, so if you're that curious, go to my contributor page and follow the links. That said, I do answer to Lady Norbert in real life too. I'll answer to pretty much anything as long as I know it means me.

  • Lady Rivelata: Abby

  • Lady Selene Of Equestria: Selene. Or at least it is the name I chose for myself. I consider it the real one. Because seriously, my given name sucks.

  • Lady Shlay: Ashleigh. Means 'Meadow of Ash Trees.' The parents named me after something one frolics in. Nice.

  • Lady Yuki: Rebecca for formal occasions, Becky or Becca to most friends and family, Yuki to friends on occasion. My middle name is Lee, because my mom thought Rebecca Lee was a good "country" name. (My older sister was named Jennifer Jo for the same reason). Yuki is both a name I picked because I just happened to like it, and a bit of a sly reference to the fact that I live somewhere that sees a lot of snow in the winter months.

  • Lagomorph: Allen.

  • Lead Pal: Most people call me Dan. I prefer LeadPal.

  • lee4hmz: I usually go by my middle name, Lee — I don't really like my first name and only use it on bills and such.

  • Leech: Leech is my surname.

  • Lemons: Mimi (which is a nickname). Also, RiceRice. If you want to be technical: 赵鸣

  • Lime: Like one of the tropers below me, my name is Brittany. My middle name also happens to be Lynn.

  • Linhasxoc: Nicholas. If you've played Kingdom Hearts you know where this is coming from. The psuedonym is my an anagram of my real first name, plus an additional "x".

  • LK Artillery: Victoria. Aren't four-syllable names just so exquisite?

  • Lethmio: some guy named Eric

  • Little Serge: Zachary. But everyone calls me Zack. Got bored with it. Then FFVII: Crisis Core was released. The best part? My last name rhymes with "Fair". I jumped all over that, and now am no longer bored with my name ^_^. "TROPER 2nd Class Zack, on the job!"

  • lnksmartt20: It's Stefen and thanks to my father's attempt to make me different I live in Spell My Name With An S land

  • Lockon Lockon Carlos Traylor Herndon, GOOD LUCK FINDING ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE TROPERS!!!!

  • logbat99: Logan... something. Not even I know my surname. AND IT'S NOT PAUL.

  • Loki Mischief-Maker's first name is Stephanie (yes, I am female). My middle name is Lynn, so my given name means "crowned serpent". Meaningful Name ? Maybe.

  • Lonewolf23k: Name's Rolland Therrien. Yes, I'm french canadian.

  • Loon Shia: Joakim Karlén. Yes, really.

  • Looney Toons: Some may call me an ogre, but bright fame is mine.
    • Actually, since Fast Eddie blew my cover over on Fanfic Recommendations, I'll cop to being Bob Schroeck ("Robert"="Bright Fame"; "Schroeck" is pronounced "Shrek" — it's a German word meaning "terror" or "horror" and thus a good name for an ogre.)

  • Loracarol Only the second Ashley? Woah...O_o I was going to change my name to "Analia Marie" when I got older due to Ashley being everywhere, but now...

  • Loustar Jogger: Louis I. My Homestar Runner fan character (Pathetic I know.) is named after the nickname.

  • LTR: Paul's my name, wish there was something more to it, but I'm afraid that's all you get.

  • Lucky Ambition: Roxanne :) My username comes from the Persian proverb "Luck is infatuated with the efficient."

  • Lucy Wanabe: Sarah is my name, and a good way of pushing my Berserk Button is leaving the 'h' off. That's how it's REALLY spelled, dammit! Also, if you think you've seen that screen name before, then you probably have—it's (with rare exception) the only handle I've used on the internet for over 8 years now. Weeeee....

  • lukethedudeduke: Go on, take a guess. My full name's Luke Daly, and the handle's a combination of embarrassing childhood nicknames.

  • Lumine: Phillip, while being a brazillian. My parents are weird, i tell ya.

  • Lurkerbunny: Astrid Giese-Zimmer. And yes I am related to fantasy author Marion Zimmer Bradley! She was my aunt... but I never got to meet her. On the other hand, I am NOT related to that Men's Warehouse guy.

  • Lushiepop: Addison. If you didn't already know from my contributer page, you know now! Lucky you! :D

  • Lurkie: Dale. Not related to anyone famous... well, that I know of anyway. :-)

  • Lycanious: Cassie, but some call me The Nerdy Werewolf or Freddie-Mercury Appreciator...

  • Mac Fall: Dan. Although I nearly always go by my pen name, E. Lee Mac Fall. As an aspiring novelist I hope to maintain the little bit of privacy that will get me. It's easy enough to find out my full name on the internets though.

  • Mad Surge: Enrico Albertazzi. My last name should be a play on "Albertaccio", or "the bad Albert", but i'm a nice guy, although I own a katana and a knife from an holiday in Toledo...

  • Major Tom: Also known as Tom or Thomas by most folks.

  • Magnezone: Julia. Don't you dare call me 'Julie'. ...Or Grace.

  • MagnusForce: Alexander. A lot of people call me Sandy though.

  • Malchus: Miguel Paolo C. Pernia from the Philippines. Most people call me Miguel, family calls me Paolo, and some people call me by my last name. You may call me... well, something.

  • Maléfix: Max Dominik Weber. A.K.A. Omochao or M. I am NOT Masuco.

  • Malimar: Nathan. You can call me Nate, but don't call me Nathaniel, because that's not my name. I also have the best middle name ever in the history of the world: Jay.

  • Mallory: oddly enough, my name is NOT mallory. My mother called me after a roman empress... Livia. oh why, yes, I'm Italian, could you tell?

  • Malph: My name shall be known when the time is right. (Pause for a few seconds) Ok, now the time is right. My name is Dustin, keeper of the honorary title of Malph. I'm also known as "Snuffimabob III" and "Kyle Smith". My last name is easy to spell, but no one knows the correct way to say it. As for "Malph", I have no idea what that means, but it's easier to use than Snuffimabob (that's only half a joke) .

  • Malus: Marcus, unsurprisingly. Not Marc though, only my siblings call me Marc. Amusingly, my initials are M.A.R. which, of course, are the first three letters of my name. I'm not sure if my parents did this on purpose or not.

  • Man Called True: J.E.O. You have your hint, now get cracking. A warm hug to the first one who can fill in the blanks!

  • Maniette: Norika. This Aussie has a Japanese name. Admittedly, they did get it from The Bill, but still...

  • Manu: ...uhm... Manu. Well, Manuel. Manuel Zolezzi. (I'm more Italian than pizza).

  • Marandahir: Philip. If I told you my whole name you might think I was a King, or a Prince at least. I'm not though. But my surname is unique to members of my extended family, and my combined first and last names are the same as my families' progenitor. So you could say my name is Notable, at least...

  • Mark IV: James. Do not call him Jamie, Jimmy or any other alternative. Suffers with schizotypia. An avid Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, and TimeSplitters fan.

  • Market 43 Fan: Jacob L. Burke Jr.

  • Mark Lungo: Yes, I actually post under my real name. It keeps me honest.

  • Mariko-chan: Is oddly enough the only Ashley on this page. (For now probably.) She can also argue that Mariko "is" her real name, if people count Middle Names.

  • Mariecat: Marie, imagine that! But no, I'm not a cat, nor do I have any desire to be.

  • Mary Leathert: Mari. A Finnish form of Mary. I won't tell my surname because there isn't anyone else with my complete name. I devised my screenname surname from something in my English book if I remember correctly. But has been in use for a long time.

  • Master Sofa happens to be the second Connor to post on this page.

  • Mason: My name is Inigo Montoya, no wait, I'm Richard the Lionheart, No Charlemagne, no, I'm Albert Spangler, or Anthony Redgrave. Actually my name is Mason... Named after a brand of Pate' apparently, but my parents justify it by saying "It's a good strong name..." I have Two First Names , Two last Names, and Two Middle Names, Figure that one out. Put together it all means Stoneworker Gift Of Peace River Mouth Fox. The rest of the net calls me Win_By_Rout, with a Nickname of Mace...

  • Massawhore: My real name is Savannah, which is apparently somewhat original here. I've only met two others in my life, admittedly, and both of those were down south and seven years old. o.O I've changed my name twice so far, first to Holly, and currently I go by Kelsey. Don't ask. Don't ask about my handle, either, you'd rather not know.

  • Master Hand: Samuel, but one of his parent's ideas for naming him was "Lucien." Now that is one Badass name. (Thought it happens to be the name of a character in The Elder Scrolls that he dispises.)

  • Mattman324: Well, Matthew Smith. Which is cool, because Smith is a common last name, and Matthew is as well... even though I'm extreamly different from the average person.

  • Max: My real name, not shortened at all. Woe be upon he who calls me "Maximus" or "Maximilian." Bad experiences with annoying teachers, y'know? Not like they didn't have my real name right there anyway...

  • Maximus: Alex... yes... Alex... Enough said. Some call me Nappy

  • Mc Kathlin: Kathryn. Both handle and real name are Kathy for short.

  • Medinoc: Frédéric.

  • Mega Magikarp: Craig. Boring, isn't it? Although I see that I'm the only one (as of this edit) to have that name here...

  • Meghatron: Meghan, which explains the whole in-joke behind the screen name neatly.

  • mehayo: I am Ben. Short, yes, I know. Only Benjamin on rare occasions.

  • Mercurius: Some call me Willis.

  • Metz77: Matt Huffman. If you see a Metz 77 or Metzgermeister 77 anywhere, it's likely me. Also Der Metzgermeister in some places.

  • MFM: William. One of the most common names in the US, so good luck finding me.

  • MHD: Karl or Charles. Nickname is short for MagnetoHydroDynamics.

  • Mhwal: Keith Lehwald. I give my full name because it's already connected with the "Mhwal" username on several websites, particularly YouTube. "Mhwal" is actually a spectacularly bad misspelling of my last name from a debating tournament.

  • Midna: Against my parents' will, I shall go ahead and divulge my name. Which is Seth.

  • Midonin: Most call me "Tober".

  • Mighty Mewtron: On every other platform, I go by Jen. I'm happy going by Mew on here, to make this site more special to me.

  • Mijzelffan: My real name is Jasper. My second name is Johannes if anyone's interested.

  • Mike: Some people call me..."Michael". I think that my handle therefore wins on the un-creative front.

  • Mik Man: A man named Mikko. He is from Finland

  • mimichan3 : First name: Kiernan, middle name: Mimi, last name: undisclosed, common alias: Stephanie. Which is my preffered internet name, since my real name is to uncommon.

  • Mini Nephthys: Mira, but around the internet I'm known as Mini.

  • Misfit119: My unoriginal name is Daniel but I've been running with the misfit119 handle since the early days of AOL.

  • Miss Hap: It's actually Meredith. But it's really hard to form a bad pun with that name.

  • Miss Monkeh: Nancy. And probably the only Nancy on the whole page. Blame my Irish parents.

  • Miss Twister: My mother wanted to name me Calliope or Jessamine. My grandmother wanted me to be named Sarah. My grandmother won.

  • Mjolnir: Josh. Its surprising how many people on the internet call me Mj due to being unable to pronounce my screen name.

  • Molly Wobbles 6093: Name's Felicia. Handle is for Molly Weasley, the greatest matriarch of the greatest family in literature. Don't ask where the 6093 came from, it doesn't mean anything. =3

  • Monkey Physics: Mike. Or "Mick" after a few GargleBlasters.

  • Monoxide: Laura. Troper handle is the name of one of my characters.

  • Moo92: The name is Mary, Moo is my nickname due to my love of milk. The 92 just sounds nice with it. :)

  • Morven: Matthew; I have the ordinary name among siblings. My younger brothers are Lucien and Tristan. I did get the unusual middle name: Jude. I hope, but fear it unlikely, that this was not from the Beatles song "Hey Jude".

  • Morgana/Sinta-tan: Tori. I'm probably the only Tori here... *sigh*

  • Morgulion: Daniel. Especially ironic for an atheist.

  • Mr Etaoin Shrdlu: Henry.

  • Mr. Lavisher Moot: Thomas. You're welcome to call me either this, Tom, or any variation of my handle. And yes, I endured all of the blue train jokes.

  • Mr ZAP Zachary Amos Paul. Literally Mr. ZAP. Not very creative, but my initials are awesome, so why waste them? Zach or Zachary is fine, in real life, although most call me by the former. ZAP is only okay online. And you have to spell it with an h. Not a k. Ever.

  • MS 3049: Schilling. Matthew if you can make the effort.

  • Murakumo Unit: Jamie.

  • Murillion Blue: Karyn. Not 'Karen'. 'Karyn' with a 'y'.

  • Muse: My name is Moriah! Not gonna tell you my last name, because I'll get made fun of.

  • musicmage4114: Zachary Lemmon. Traditionally shortened to "Zack." Don't forget the "k." No, I'm not related to Jack Lemmon, though old people sometimes mistakenly call me by that name if they're not thinking. My handle tells three things about me: I'm a music major in college, I'm always a magey character in any game and LOVE fantasy, and the numbers are the first name (in numerals) of my first crush. Yeah, that last part is pretty lame.

  • Mutant Rancor: Jake, the most popular boys' name in America for the last twenty-some years. Please don't call me Jacob, I don't respond to that because my cousin/best friend has another friend named Jacob, and I have, in the past, shared classes with other Jacobs. And other Jakes, but that's beside the point.

  • Mutual Assured Destruction Mad: William. Also known as Guillaume, Wilhelm, Micheal, John...

  • Myles: Real name = username. Creative, no?

  • Mythsage: Mythsage's given name is Sam. He doesn't like to be called this, and prefers the name Sorin. You guys may also call him Lord Sorin, Master Sorin, or the Sorinator. His Keet friend has called him "Wooper" on more than one occasion. Mythsage would like it if you did not do that.

  • Na Cl Otaku: Riley. And to make it worse, it's spelled the wrong way (for my gender; i'm a girl)...

  • Narvi: Is actually an Egyptian caliph called Ali.

  • Nate the Great: Go on; guess. I dare you! \*_*/

  • Nausicaa: Name's Phoebe Neale. And yes, that is the right way to spell it, thank you very much.

  • Neko Katsun: Cat. Sure it's short for something, but Cat is what everyone uses.

  • Nekomata The Failcat: Milja. Pronounce the "J" like "Y" in the word "yellow". It's also spelled with a "J", not with two "L"s, idiots!!!

  • Neothe Saiyanangel: Meh. I'm Kristina. Yeah, I know, horribly normal. Hence the nifty name for online purposes. ^_^

  • Nevrmore: I have many names...Quetzecoatl, Loki, Pazuzu, El Susto Negro, Freddie Mercury...But I prefer Jordan.

  • Nifar: Apparently I'm the only Raven here. Have fun guessing my gender.

  • The Ninth: Morgan. Or Nine. Or Moggy.

  • Nire: Erin, creatively. Nire is a nickname that has stuck since ninth grade. Will also answer to Fluffy, Eddie, and Rin.

  • Nixon: My first name is Martin. One guess at my surname.

  • 9: You really wanna know? Alex D. There you have it.

  • Nillion: My real name is Elizabeth. How common can you get?

  • Noelia I'm Noel. It's nice to meet you. i got my nickname/handle from latin class. just don't call me Nicole, 'kay?

  • Nola: This is my real first name. My name isn't related to the city of New Orleans, and it's not Noah, Nora, Lola, or any others.

  • Northern Downpour: Sloane. One syllable. And yes, it's from Ferris Bueller's Day Off. It's better than Austin which is what my name would be if I were a boy.

  • Nosferatu: Name's Ly Tran.

  • Not Always The Hero: Andrew. You can call me Andy, if you want.

  • Nyarly: Martin. A very common name in Germany.

  • Numbuh9494: Do you really want to know...? Fine. It's Dani. At least, that's what I want you to think... -shifty eyes-

  • nycscribbler: Rebecca, for short. The long form is Rebecca-call-me-Becky-and-you-die. Calling me Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm is also not recommended (though Miss Randall and I were both named after the same character, so half credit). The odds are pretty good that if you wander across an nycscribbler somewhere, ‘tis me. I’m not famous yet, but I haven’t ruled it out. :D

  • Occono: Anthony, don't like being called Tony.

  • Ody: I am known as Keitha. Which actually has the pretty badass meaning of 'Female Warrior' yeah, rock.

  • Old Troper: As old as dirt, we had simpler names back then. Think of me as a Gimlet Eye with Crystalline Cynicism, and a Red Pen that never runs dry. Others have known me as Tampa Cracker, MacCracker, and Sonophile.

  • O Malley: My real first name actually is O'Malley. It tends to turn heads, but I swear it's true.

  • Omega 2900: Brandon. Very common, I know, and I'm sure there's more of us hiding amongst the forums.

  • Omega Metroid: My middle name is Clint. As in Eastwood. Luckily, my given name and surname don't have anything to do with the Memetic Badass... but my given name's meaning says that I should be a judge. Or a one-man jury. Or whatever. And despite my surname being ridiculously easy to spell and pronounce, people seem to forget the second 'd', not even noticing that it sounds completely different without it. Thus speaks the Omega Metroid!

  • Ondore Mick: Donald. Please keep all jokes related to ducks or billionaires to a minimum.

  • One Pixel Jump Man Joseph Frank Dennis, probably the only account of my real name on the internet outside of mindless college red tape.

  • Opposingforce: Only two Lukes? I expected more. Though my dad wanted to call me Zebity. Despite my family being as Caucasian as it gets, and my last name being Wright.

  • oreopizza47: Arron. I swear i'm not misspelling my own name.

  • Origami Moose: Another Kate here. But I'm progressively becoming an example of Only Known by Their Nickname, which is Bernie. It's a Long Story.

  • Orihime: Maria, and that's enough.

  • Original Hobbit: Courtney. Never spell it any other way

  • Ouroboros: Henry. Yeah I know, hilarious.

  • Outlaw: Riku. Shut up, it's short for Rikhard.

  • Outsyder0486: Matthew. Original, I know.

  • Outta The BLAM: Becky. ...And That's Terrible.

  • Otempora: Olivia. I honestly have nothing witty to say right now.

  • Other Joey: Joseph, aka Joey. But not that one. The other one.

  • owlcroft: Eric Walker. There are countless Eric Walkers on the web; I'm the one from Owlcroft.

  • Panda Sam: Sam. ...antha.

  • Paradoxical Frog: Another Jessica here. (Lately I've started going by J.T., though.) As for my last name, it's just as unbelievably common as my first one, so it's not really worth mentioning.

  • Pastafarian: Paul Goodman. Not going to bother looking up if my first name means anything, and the last is kind of in English. My Nom-de-Internet comes from my religion.

  • Patsy: That's pretty much what everyone calls me. In this case, it's a weird alteration of 'Matthew'.

  • Pavlov: My secret identity is: Scott. We're being paid for coming clean, right?

  • Peanut: My name's Joseph. Almost Ryan.

  • PegaFoxx: Aleigh. Though I respond to Leigh.

  • Pepper-Jak: Jacklyn. Everybody I know has called me Jak since the day I was born. I'm not named after that Jak. I was here before the game.

  • Performansas: Motiejus - named after Moteuczoma Xocoyotzin.

  • Phartman: All right, I'll come clean: It's actually Fartman. Hieronymus Chippendale Fartman. And it's Jewish, so use the short "A" pronunciation. Happy now?

  • Philipnova798: First part of my username is my real name (But just call me Phil)

  • Phoenix Oasis Thomas. Yes, I'm a non-religious person. No, I'm not telling you my last name, only that it starts with the letter "L".

  • Pika Hikari KT: Kaitlin Teresa McAteer (not pronounced McCatter, I usually have to correct someone on this), Katie for short. Now you know where the KT comes from.^_^

  • Pirka: Emily Rose Bricker, nothing really to it.

  • Putnamehere3145: The kid "No Name" Thrasher. >_>

  • PG 556: Real names Daniel, but due to a podcast with a fellow Dan, I tend to use my 'other' name Max for internet related business.

  • P Miller 1: Paul Miller. Yeah That's My Real Name.

  • Po8: Bart Massey. Perfectly happy that everyone knows.

  • Popelmaster Sven Riensche. I have nothing more to say about it.

  • Poppylitus Casey Romano, no relation to anyone famous.

  • Premonition45: Momin, rhyming with Roman. It means "true believer". But my friends call me Mo.

  • Priffy Viole Mina, after a Sailor Scout. DO NOT CALL ME PRIFFY OR VIOLE!!!

  • PrincessPandaTrope: Lisa (NOT) Simpsonnote  (My parents originally called me Elizabeth, but decided to shorten my name. Ironically, Lisa means "oath of God" and I'm irreligious. I also have a Chinese name that I will not reveal.)

  • Professor Raine: It's Daniel Ferguson, not Genis Sage (which is a lot more cooler and not associated with Fergie).

  • Pro-Mole: the unimaginative and fairly common (in Brazil) name of Bruno(more specifically, Bruno Guedes). The mole thing is due to relating to those little animals as a totem of sorts. Also, it's the same handler he uses in several places.

  • punkcrow: Tobias, also known as TJ. It's a chosen name, although I'm not entirely sure what made me choose "Tobias" at that time.

  • Quackor The Fowl: Trace. It was originally because I was the third person in my family to have Rick in their name (that's my first name, by the way), but it's been starting to get a new meaning, as I'm an avid artist, mainly with pen-and-pencil.

  • Quarter Dollar: Caroline. Like that posthumous character, but with a long "i". Now my family jokes I'll be uploaded into a supercomputer one day.

  • Quodo: Oliver Perks. Yes I've read Discworld.

  • QQQQQ: Steph. And you? What you call yourself meng?

  • Raekuul: Tim. I'm not giving my full name due to a Incredibly Lame Pun involving Tool Time and Cukoo Clocks that I always get.

  • Raineh Daze: Calum. Don't use it. Just call me Rain. Or Kitten (don't ask).

  • Raine Sage Rocks: Lissian. No, really. However, I go by the nickname Izzy much more often than Lissian.

  • Ramiel: Kevin. Simple enough.

  • Rangi: I'm Remy. My name's unique so far.

  • Raven Grave: Anthony. One of seven, it seems. Not Tony, if you please.

  • Ravvie: Rebecca. Got the nickname "Ravvie" half a decade ago from a friend who was poking fun of my love of Harry Potter, and it's stuck ever since!

  • Ray Ayanami: Raymond (or Ray), as if you couldn't guess from my nickname. No, my true last name isn't Ayanami, but it does start with an A.

  • Rayen: Olivia. I never took well to nicknames but when a friend and I were looking at cool names, we came across "Rayen" which comes from a Mapuche name meaning flower and contains a reference to my middle name, Rae.

  • Red-HattedPlumber: If you couldn't figure it out, the name's Mario. I'm also likely to be the one non-Italian, non-Portuguese Mario you meet. And my last name, which is Spanish, shares that same initial. That's all I'm telling.

  • Redondo20: Jordan. Hey fellow tropers!

  • Red Wren: Lauren. As you may have guessed, her nickname in Real Life is Wren.

  • Reedteran: yup. Name's Reed Teran. problem, other usernames?

  • Reg Shoe: Matthew. I use a Discworld character's name because, well, he is awesome.

  • Replis Monathin: Steven Michael Nunley. And I'm not Nunley, I'm Agnostic.

  • Rew: Andrew. Rew's been my nickname (IRL, then later online) for nearly 15 years now.

  • Reyendo: Daniel [weird Polish last name] off the web, Reyendo pretty much everywhere on the web.

  • Ripsaw: Dave. No 2001 jokes, please, I get enough of those from the two "Hal"'s in my WoW guild.

  • Rissa: is not my real name. I was named after an actress, but I shan't tell you which one.

  • Robster2001: I'm Rob. But you figured that out already. :)

  • Robbychu: It's Erina. Pronouced like Erika with a "N". STOP PRONOUNCING IT WRONG ALREADY!

  • Robin Zimm: Robin Zimmermann. Two "n"s on the end of "Zimmermann", same as the Germans spell it.

  • Robo P 08: I am known as Robin or Rob in real life, not much more to say, haven't seen any Robin people here yet.

  • Rob T Firefly: Rob Vincent. My handle mostly comes from the Groucho Marx character "Rufus T. Firefly."

  • Roihu: Fernando. I don't like it. I'm also the only Fernando on here.

  • Roland: I selected the name from the traditional medieval romance hero Roland/Orlando, 'cause it's a nifty name. No relevance to my <strong>true form</strong>, which no man alive on this Wiki has ever lived to speak of!

  • Rosvo: Kiril. He has gotten a lot of flak about it, being Finnish and all.

  • RTHSFF: Korrey. Yes, that's how it's actually spelled; virtually everyone gets it wrong the first time.

  • Ruby Red: Andrew Winslow Hale. Andrew for the Apostle, Winslow for my Grandfather,
and Hale because my ancestors hailed from Ireland.

  • Ryan: Ryan, heh. As it has been pointed out, Irish Gaelic for little king. Well, it actually comes from the Old Gaelic righ (cognate of the Latin rex [like Oedipus Rex or Tyrannosaurus rex (Tyrant lizard king!)]) along with the diminutive an, thus: Righan, thus: Ryan.

  • Sabbo: All stalkers may direct their attention to Sabbo... oh wait, that's just what everyone calls him. Sabbo's parents like to call him Sebastian.

  • Sahrimnir: Karl-Kristoffer.

  • Sainsbury: Timothy. My handle comes from a joke off of the XFM "Ricky Gervais Show"

  • Sandblast: Damian. That's all anyone knows. The entity called Sandblast is separate from all other identities used by the person who took that name. Make a joke about it at your peril.

  • Sani O Kh: that's kinda complicated. Born Aleksandr in USSR, the when my part of USSR became the Ukraine, I became Oleksandr. Now that I moved to France and took the citizenship, it's Alexandre.

  • Sarahsuke: Sarah, unsurprisingly enough. The handle is a mishmash of my own name and that of Ganbare Goemon's Sasuke. No, not Naruto Sasuke. I wanted my e-identity to be unique, so I jumped on the bandwagon with people who had done the same thing, albeit with different characters.

  • Saratonin: Sara. the Zaftig Cat Girl. That girl with the wings. Sera. Seraneko. That girl who won't stop talking about the color blue...

  • Sarge: Conrad, simple as that.

  • Saya-cha: Samantha. Named for a dog that was named after the girl from Bewitched. And I'm not the only person in my family who's been named for a pet that the family has had in past years. It's kind of sad.

  • Sayuri Yamada: Mónica Santamaría. Santamaría is Spanish for Saint Mary. I hate it. Maybe too Mary Sue-ish?

  • Schizo Niko: Allyn. :)

  • Self Called Nowhere : Lydia. Yeah, named after the Beetlejuice character...

  • Sensei Le Roof: Matt. I know, thrilling, right?

  • Senshuu: Jessica Cantlope. I'm the only person in the world with this name. Also, only my own family hosts our surname, and we have no idea where it came from.

  • Seraphania: Arielle, but I force people to call me Ari. Am I really the only one here?

  • Serene Shadow: The other Katy. With a K. And a T. And a Y. And heaven help you if you forget it.

  • Seren Y Gogledd is known as Cat which is rather boring.

  • Sergeant Luke: Take a guess.

  • Seth: My name is obviously a well kept secret :D

  • Shadowednavi: The name's Tricia, short for Patricia, and don't try to shorten it any other way. ^_^ Some people call me Sage, due to my other online handle (Shadowed Spirit Sage), but they're fewer and farther between these days.

  • Shadow Magus: Holy crap, there's only one other Jason on here?

  • Shadow Panther: David Hodgson. Stereotypical Brit, possibly of Viking origin so that's a free Berserk Button. (Well, I like to think I am.)

  • Shaon: Conor. A masculine name on a somewhat ambiguous looking female. Not to mention people never spell or pronounce my full name right. It's a Berserk Button if I ever had one.

  • Selecao IX: Another Adam. I'm about as boring as my name.

  • Sergeant Luke: Take a guess.

  • Sen: Chris. That's the shortened and Anglicized version anyway, since I'm kinda tired of hearing people mangling it horribly.

  • Shar Phoe: The name is Christian (Yeah, like the religion), though some call me Chris (also fine), just NOT Christopher. I also go by Gary, due to, well... It's a long story.

  • Shiniki: Pam. I dislike being called Pamela.

  • Shiny Bulbasaur: Elle. NOT ELLA! And I actually liked my name until Death Note came out and weeaboos across the school started making references to it every three seconds.

  • ShinyVulpix: Loïs. Lo for short (as if my name wasn't short enough already). My second name is Elisabeth.

  • Shuri: Thomas is the name. Or Tom. Or Tommy. Whatever. So long as you don't use my middle name. YOU WILL NEVER HAVE IT HA HA HA!

  • Silent Animal: Amanda

  • Sisperini: Alexandra. Just call me Alex.

  • Sivi: First name's Nick. Last name's Bradley. Yes I have Two First Names.

  • Shaera Angeli: Tara. Pronounced Tah-rah with a long a, not like the Buffy character.

  • Shlapintogan: Ben. Although, I also answer to Jack.

  • Slaanesh: Nicholas. I prefer Nick, or the nickname I have for no real reason, Tycho.

  • slawterer Rowan. No, not one of the famous ones... not yet, anyway!

  • Slothman: Real name= Cooper. After Det. Cooper from Twin Peaks. Yes, I know it's a last name.

  • Sligh: Real Name = João Marcos Knopp de Aquino Tavares. Brazilian name, cause, you know, I'm from Brazil.

  • Smandy Dandy: Abriana. Unfortunately.

  • Smashing Melons 42: It rhymes with "melon."

  • Smerf: My name is Smerf. You, however, may call me... Smerf.

  • SM Deathwind: First name Michael. Last name Hamilton. I am not a "Micheal" and spelling it as such is probably the closest thing I have to a Berserk Button.

  • Sofos: George. Actually, in Russian it's Georgiy (Георгий), but the name's the same, so I prefer English-speakers just call me "George" to avoid unnecessary brain strain :)

  • So It Begins: Ook!

  • Solo Wing: Gemma, plain and simple.

  • Some Poor Sod: James. Just James, not Jamie, Jim, Jimmy, Jimbo or anything else. Stop it; half of those are longer than my actual name!

  • Sonica: Janice. Apparently, I'm the only Janice here.

  • Sorata Yuy: I'm a Michael, and I'm happy with that name, and dog-gone-it, people like me. =D

  • Sourguy: I'm Samson. Named after - who else? - God's iconic beefcake. Given how I tend to help out around the house lifting things and try to exercise regularly, it might become prophetic.

  • Spaceman: My name is Daniel. Unfortunately, with the way people butcher the way they spell children's names nowadays, it gets mistaken for "Danielle." Funny thing, if I was a girl my parents were going to name me "Jennifer."

  • Space Wings: My name is Amaterasu Godiva Chernobog Kelahlue Ermorand Kchitlena Margradine Seraphinus Calea Von Ratsbane. Oh wait, my bad. It's Kamen. Seriously.

  • Spaghetti Cat III: I have the very Swedish name of Anders, which means " tough like a rock".

  • Spam Warrior 3000: Stevie Grace, which I personally think sounds like a truck-stop waitress. My mother was a big Stevie Nicks fan, and while I like my first name—it's definitely unusual, without being weird—I do get a little tired of everyone who reads it thinking I'm a guy. I'm also occasionally boggled by all the different spellings I'll run into, if I don't spell it out for people—I've had Stevy and Stivie quite a lot, for some reason. Between that and my maiden name being almost impossible for anyone to spell by ear, I got used to clarifying over the phone before anyone even asked.

  • Sparkysharps: It's Jacquelyn, Spell My Name With An S. Hey, don't look at me like that. I'm not the one who came up with it

  • Spinosegnosaurus77: Adam.

  • SpiriTsunami: My parents wanted to give me a name that was fairly uncommon. Unfortunately, The name Chad is no longer that uncommon, and is kind of a preppy name, which wasn't the aim. Ah, well, I still like it. And it's just Chad, not short for anything.

  • Spookee P: My parents actually named me Spookee.

  • Spudsey: My real name is Kathryn. Most call me either Katie or Kate.

  • Starmaster: READ THIS ONLY AFTER YOU HAVE GUESSED ON MY PAGE! My name is Amanda.

  • starshine: Madeleine or Maddi. Don't leave out the second e.

  • Strangehouse A creative interpretation of my real name after tracing its origin backwards through Italian, Spanish and Latin.

  • Strife89: Michael Carr here. The alias comes from the last name of Cloud Strife, as well as the dictionary definition. (19)89 is my birthyear (naturally). (FFVII was my first Playstation-only game, and I picked it up the day after my mom died, as a result of my dad wanting to cheer me up a little. The game's subject matter, though.....)

  • SymeSynth: Glenn. Syme Synth is a combination of "Symmetry" and "Synthesis", 'Symmetry' is for order, since I have OCD in Real Life, and I make up many things, hence 'Synthesis'. People who watch The Walking Dead have a tendency to call me Glenn Rhee since I share his first name.

  • synaesthetic: Corinn, though only my bosses ever call me that. Everyone else just uses Cori. My handle is a totally random one I made up to register on a forum while listening to an album by the FLA side project and ambient group Synaesthesia. It just kind of stuck after that.

It's Welsh, and I probably have some Welsh ancestry (though I'm more Irish, Danish and German). Just don't ask me "How's it goin'?"

  • The Great WTF: Meghan, though you'd think my name was Megpie by how many people call me by that... or Mommy, for that matter.

  • The One Who Tropes: My real name is Mark. I like talking about myself in the third person, hence the name.

  • The Otaku Ninja: I have many pseudonames around the internet (don't ask, I'm not sure why myself), but you can just call me Julia. (My surname, on the other hand, is for me to know, and for you to not... know.) My handle comes from my love of anime and my fondness for ninjas.

  • Timid Tree: I often go by the name Gary. Probably because that is my name. Or is it...

  • Timmyvos: Make an educated guess...

  • Tina Banina 96: I'm Tina :) I know, creative username, isn't it?

  • Todd The T 1000 - Ash. No, not like Pokémon. Just...don't. Keep your hands off that there Berserk Button. It is not a Big Red Button, nor is it a sign saying 'Do Not Press'. It makes an almost-inaudible *snap*, but I won't eat your face or anything.

  • Volkai: Alex. Well, Alexander in full. Yeah, another one. (This one's a Kramer.)

  • Volouscheur: Hannah. Seems to be getting more common again, these days, IRL.

  • Voodoo Child: Andrea. No relation to the below troper. I have a bunch of other internet handles, but this is my favorite.

  • Voodoo Master: Simon. I have no nicknames save "Happy Meal", which is used sparingly and was derived from my temporary dearth of emotion a few years back.

  • Vulture: Christine, but she only admits to it because she is entertained by the fact that she shares her first name with that one Stephen King story. Anywhere else on the interwebs, she is Zoey.

  • Widdershins Daughter: Katherine Tremaine. Yes, an actual girl on the actual Internet.

  • Wild Knight: Matt. Maaaaaaatt matt matt. Sorry, I'm in a weird mood tonight and apparently turned into a Pokémon. Fun fact!: In middle school, a bully once got the class to sing "Matthew had a [LAST NAME]" to the tune of "Mary Had a Little Lamb." My last name doesn't quite rhyme with "little lamb," but it is uncomfortably close. I do not actually remember this incident at all, my best friend told it to me. I can only assume I suppressed the memory.

  • William Syler: Riley William (First and Middle), Male. And yes, I did misspell Sylar. I was 15 at the time and thought my pen name needed to represent a dark side of me. • Wynter: Noelle! I'm not French, and I wasn't born on Christmas (but the 22nd is close enough, I guess), but I like it. Nice and unique!! And it's not Nicole. I'm glad I see someone else with a similar name who has the same problem, sobs.

  • Xander77: Sasha. Though this creates its own "I'm not a black north-american female" problems, at least it avoids a whole host of issues associated with Alexander.

  • Xander K: Anthony. Xander is just my internet name.

  • Xaris: Josh. The only one so far and the contributor above me is confused at a lack of Mollys.

  • Xennith: Everyone calls me "Gene", oddly enough more people call me by that name than by my given name... including in real life.

  • Yellow Mage: Henry. <Copy second sentence of user entry entry below>. Don't really have any IRL nicknames. Just call me Yellow! :D I AM THE ONLY TRUE YELLOW MAGE. ANY IMITATORS WILL BE PERMA-K.O.'d. Unless, of course Square Enix makes it an official job class in an upcoming FF and the Cosplayers come out to play. Then it's fine.

  • Yo Adrian is actually a Jessica. And shockingly, only the third on this list. Also answers to "Blondie", "Peanut Butter", "Plural" (only if you're my best friend who is also a Jessica) or "Hey You".

  • Yoru No Grim: Graeme. Occasionally "Gram". Mispronounced I don't know how many times.

  • Yurifanboy-sama: Stephen Kent Gray (Western style) Gray Stephen (Eastern style) Ste-kun (cute nickname) Stephe-kun (cute too) Gray-san (formal) Gray-sama (formal and polite)

  • Yuvalescent: Yuval. I'm actually a female, but... Yuval...

  • Zander Schubert: Alex Ray. Gender-Blender Name and Two First Names for the win! I could probably put my name on foreign too, if I wanted: unless Wiktionary is pulling my leg, there's Stars, Sugar, Rog, Opinion and, by pronunciation, Cloud, Vote, King and Ayanami.

  • Zero To Night Brittany. Very bland, very boring, don't like it if people spell it wrong.

  • Zetta: Alice. Any Wonderland jokes and I punch your face in.

  • Zombie Neith: Peter. I sometimes go by the ridiculous pen-name Ivan Granger.

  • Zero: Amy. And a right holy shit to my being the first on this list. I knew my name wasn't that common, but... damn. Also, I use the internet handles Twilight-Zero and Degenerate Storm(minus the space) mostly. Props if you recognize me.

  • Zetsubo: Cedrick. I like it: it means "battle chieftain" or "lord of wars". Coupled with Emmanuel, meaning "God is with us". Cedrick-Emmanuel? plot armored Blood Knight. In Real Life.

  • Zilo: Karli. Short for Karlian, which NO ONE seems to be able to pronounce or spell right the first time. I prefer Zilo though.

  • Zombie Boy: um...Mark and Samby. Mark's my real name while Samby's just a name my classmates gave me. zombieBoy's just a name I use a lot when I play.

  • Nill N Mikey: Zach. I can and will be an author within the distant future. Remember this.

  • The Game Master Khayyaam Butt.

  • Zarumegard: Zach Davis. I'm not afraid to get out there and say my name to everyone on the internets. Besides, there's like a hundred people out there named the same thing.

  • Spider Fan 14: Mat89t junior the third esquire

  • Whimsical Sage: Will or BJ Not William Or Willy-mac, Benji, Or Bob Where the heck does bob com from?

  • momojackson: Momo. It's not my actual, real name, but I've been called that my whole life, so it might as well be my real name.

  • Yasmin Perry: Kendria Perry
