Australian guy with Ph.D. in Drama. My thesis was on historical drama in film, TV and stage. Like many literary academics I think Buffy the Vampire Slayer one of the most profound shows ever made. (You should see all the books we've written about it). Favourite films: the LotR trilogy. Favourite trope: the same as Joss Whedon's - adolescent girl with superpowers. Well, who doesn't want to see the attempted rapist/monster get pulverized?
