This is the page for the troper Drake Dark Hunter (The Dark and Hunter are one word). I'm a nerd, first and foremost but I have other traits as well. I'm 22 years old and live in Ontario Canada. I have a odd fascination with this site.
I'm pretty cynical and very critical of my own abilities. I've got my hands in a variety of different fields but have difficulty actually delving very far into them. I'm very reclusive both in and off the internet and am not involved in any real online community. I'm kind of neurotic at times and I've got a tendency to display a defeatist mentality. Despite this however I'm a rather vocal person on matters of discussing general literature and societal observations. I'm a bit of a writer and have two major works, both of which are on hiatus (Voice Of The Voiceless) and (Beneath The Remains). I may put them online at some point but I doubt they're ready for others to read.
I've recently begun writing a Novelization Fan Fic of the original Shin Megami Tensei. It it's title Shin Megami Tensei I: Digital Devil Story, can can be found at the link below. It may not be anything great, but i consider it to be just my tribute to a game that I feel doesn't get as much attention as it deserves (As far as I know, mine is the only fanfic on the site for that specific game.) This too is on hiatus until I get my act together.

In the unlikely event that I am to contribute to tropes with examples chances are they will fall into anime, video games or music. I'm an avid fan of heavy metal as well as some technical hardcore and harsh EBM (though much less so in the latter two). I am a practicing guitarist and I've been practicing as a harsh vocalist for a few years. I'm currently able to use death growls, death grunts and black metal screeches plus I'm working on hardcore screams.
I'm a strong atheist and have had brushes with nihilism. But that's not really relevant I'd say...

- Celibate Hero - Not technically, but I've been described as coming off as asexual in public. Since I keep these matters private.
- Deadpan Snarker - I'm extremely biting in my sarcasm, It's the only way I can survive.
- Genre Savvy - On this site who isn't?
- Headphones Equal Isolation - If I'm in public, I've got earbuds in.
- Loners Are Freaks - Loner? Check! Freak? Probably.
- Non-Action Guy - Definitely, I'm not very strong or skilled in combat.
- Nietzsche Wannabe - At times..
- Only Sane Man - Sometimes I feel like one.
- Peek A Bangs - I wear my hair in this fashion, usually to hide my acne ridden face which I am very self-conscious of.
- Self-Deprecation - I'm the one person I know whose an acceptable target.
- Sliding Scale of Idealism Versus Cynicism - On the cynical side of the spectrum but I have points when I lean more towards idealism, but those are rarely expressed.
- Scary Shiny Glasses - My glasses have a tendency to do this.
- Stoic Spectacles - Bishonen I am not (largely due to my terrible acne which I have been struggling with for years.) But apart from that...
