Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

I've been looking round for tropes without deities or locations, and found Crossover Cosmology. What would best represent it? A main character from a media that has it? A planet/domain with all the pantheons crossed over?

Because the only idea I can come up with is choosing Arkantos and his son Castor from Age of Mythology, whose world has Greek, Egyptian, and Norse gods, as well as the Greek Titans, and they have (separately) encountered most of them. It also has Chinese Gods, but they're not encountered throughout the story.

I'm sure there are better ideas from the rest of you.

[up] I think someone already has that, but if not why not Rick Riordan. He created a entire universe where Classical Mythology, Egyptian Mythology and Norse Mythology are confirmed real, with several others being mentioned or implied to be.

Ok, I have finished the Hero Union. As of now, the pages are open for editing for the next few days. (Basically please help me out, I simply do not have the fictional knowledge or calibre to write out/enter motivations for them joining or their loyalty to Cosmos or threat to Melkor. Thank you!)

Here are the links.

the new Superhero Division

The DC Heroes

The Marvel Heroes (I spelt it wrong when naming it,sorry)

everyone else

Here is the format (very similar to the usual, just one adjustment)

  • Rank
  • Hero Rank (S-Class to C-Class, for example Captain America is A-Class, Superman is S-Class)
  • Symbol
  • Alignment
  • Reason for Joining
  • Loyalty to Cosmos
  • Threat to Melkor

Thanks again!

Cleaned up the typos with Dex-Starr. Be wary as I'm staying with my grandmother for the next couple of days, so I won't be as expedient as normal.

Anything else I should add to Mrs Claus?

Here is my starter profile for Reiner Braun. Please suggest as much as you can to help me add. The trope reason should be in there.

Reiner Braun, God of Having Two Personalities With Conflicting Loyalties (Vice Captain of the Warrior Unit, Ernie, Armored Titan)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/reiner_braun_anime_design.png
Spoiler
  • House: Mentalism (Sub-House of Mentalities)
  • Demigod/ Intermediate or maybe even Greater God in his Titan form
  • Symbol: His Titan form, alternatively, the Survey Corps logo
  • Theme Song: His transformation theme
  • Alignment: Lawful Neutral to Lawful Evil (Lawful Good in 'Soldier' persona)
  • Portfolio: The Ace, All or Nothing, Angst Coma, Big Brother Instinct, The Big Guy, Bruiser with a Soft Center, Conflicting Loyalty, Driven to Suicide, Genius Bruiser, Healing Factor, Instant Armor, Made of Iron, Please Kill Me if It Satisfies You, Trapped in Villainy, Your Days Are Numbered
  • Domains: Family, Infiltration, Personality, Self-Loathing, Trauma
  • Heralds: His two possible successors, Gabi Braun (his cousin) and Falco Grice
  • Allies: Bertolt Hoover (his best friend), Annie Leonhart, Genos, Baymax
  • Rivals: Raditz
  • Enemies:
  • Respects: The Judge
  • Annoyed at: The Team Rocket trio
  • Conflicting Opinion: Captain America, Yu Narukami
  • Reiner Braun was born from an illicit affair between an Eldian woman, Karina Braun and a Marleyan man. As such, he was neglected in childhood by his father due to his Eldian heritage. He became a Warrior and eventually inherited the power of the Armored Titan with the intention of gaining Marleyan status and reunite with his estranged father.
  • After successfully getting the powers of the Armored Titan, (albeit with some lucky rigging by Marco Galliard), he was sent on a mission with the Warrior Unit by Marley to reclaim the Founding Titan. Infiltrating the Survey Corps, Reiner found himself struggling to cope with the trauma of killing others while also believing them demons. Moreover, his true care for the soldiers under his guard led to a disturbing switch of mentalities: his 'Warrior' persona, his true self and his 'Soldier' persona, who believed the lie he was making and that he actually was an Eldian soldier from within the Walls. This factor being a key part of his Character Development was what spurred The Judge to have him ascended and reunited with his fellow Warriors. Reiner is forever grateful to him for this.
    • His partners had been trying to get him ascended for a while due to being threatened by a certain Optimus Prime, so they felt now was the best time to get the Armored Titan ascended. Now that he's up, the Warrior trio is up and running once again to track down and get the Coordinate from Eren Yeager, even if that mission doesn't matter anymore. He claims that is still his purpose in life.
    • They are now currently trying to have their War Chief, Zeke, ascend... a fact that doesn't sit well with Reiner given that he was the only one of the Trio who survived to witness Zeke's (sort of) Heel–Face Turn.
  • The first person he met after ascending just happened to be Captain America, who was welcoming entrants. Although the Captain chided him for killing innocents in order to achieve his goal, he maintains that it was necessary for him to do.
  • Discovering that the Pantheon contained possible millions of deities from various franchises from his meeting with the Captain, he met Genos while searching for Bertolt in the Other Emotions sub-house. The two have bonded over brunch a lot since then. Since then, Reiner has become the most outgoing of the Trio to meet new people in the Pantheon to soften the extreme trauma he has from his experiences back home.
    • Cosmos wants to use this to sway the Warrior trio to join the Grand United Alliance of Good full time. He personally refused as Eren is present; there is too much bitterness there.
  • He once allied with Raditz when they met in one of the Trio's many attempts to find and collect Eren Yeager. Though both stay well away from each other on account of the massive collateral damage DBZ deities tends to cause. They are now fierce (but not unfriendly) rivals.
  • On the other hand, he is extremely pissed at the bumbling Team Rocket trio for costing him Eren when they once hindered his mission thinking that Eren was some sort of Legendary Pokémon. In fact, he got so mad that he transformed into the Armored Titan and flung them from his location at the House of Characterization back to the House of Narrative (i.e. Team Rocket's blasting off again!). And they're still trying to catch Eren as well to this day.
    • Giovanni posted him an official apology on his part, and offered him, Annie, and Bertolt places in Team Rocket. The experience left such an annoying mark on him that he tore up the letter in anger. Even if he doesn't know Giovanni too well, he wants nothing to do with him or Team Rocket in general.
  • Really good friend of Baymax for some reason. Turns out it's a well-kept secret that Baymax serves as Reiner's resident psychologist.
  • please add more!

You have to talk here first before creating a profile. You can look up if a trope is taken or not.

Also, isn't here already in the pantheon?

  • Respected by/Respects:
  • Pitied by/Pities:
  • Opposed by: SCP-516 (Hedwyn, Jodariel, and Pamitha)
  • The problem with Sports Games is that most of them are of real sports and are more about the game than its players, so it was a daunting task to find proper candidates for the trope. And then scouts of the Court found the interesting tale of the rise of the Sahrian Union. While trying to discern through conflicting stories whether or not they overthrew its previous government, the Commonwealth, through peace or through bloodshed, and members of importance in the revolution. Further research revealed the existence of the Downside, the Rites, the Eight Scribes that created it, and the Trumvirates that partook in it.
  • It was there that tales of the Nightwings were discovered, the Rites they participated in, and the revolution they supported, and it was there that the Court found their candidate. Or rather, candidates. As it was, due to the Multiple Endings nature of the tale, it was difficult finding the ideal method of ascending them to the Pantheon. But a solution was eventually found.
  • After enacting their solution, all of the Nightwings have been brought to the Pantheon, all with memories of life after the last Liberation Rite both in the Downside and in the Commonwealth/Sahrian Union. The conflicting memories were a bit confusing to possess and among other things, The Stowaway, Hedwyn, and the Reader are still human even after remembering remaining in the Downside after the Rites have ended, and Jodariel is still a demon even when she remembers life after returning to the Commonwealth, and won't be changing back anytime soon. Still, at the very least, they are all reunited. And it was surprising that Tariq has rejoined them, but as part of the Nightwings, it made sense.
  • Applies to the team or some of them:
    • The Nightwings' temple takes the form of the Moonlight Alcove, the sanctuary the team rest in while waiting for the stars to herald the next series of Rites. They also have their blackwagon they use to travel across the Downside. It even has flight capabilities, and when in flight, the Reader occasionally directs their craft to other flying vessels/deities that happen to be in the area either to grief or greet them, depending on their mood.
    • Thanks to the endeavors of Barker Ashpaws of the Dissidents, they are aware of the Rites being considered a game not just in the Downside after the Rites ended, but also in the world(s) outside their own. In fact, the House of Gaming and Technology are collaborating on creating a simulation of the Rites, and folks have compared it as a fantastical version of basketball.
      • Of course, given just how many different kinds of lifeforms (especially non-organics such as energy beings and robots) are in the Pantheon, a lot of work in the simulation had to be done to account for all of them and to give proper pros and cons of each. And that's not counting the humanoids who can cast abilities without weapons, which aren't permitted in the Rites. Some are inconsequential (like Yang Xiao Long's damage-based Semblance, which is pointless since one hit from an opponent's aura is instant banishment), others might give an edge, while yet others might even break the game (like Ruby Rose's Speed-based Semblance) unless properly nerfed.
    • Eventually, the Sim-Rites Program was completed. The Nightwings are already in by default, but anyone else who wishes to partake in the experience has to register first as a Triumviratecaveat . Unlike the cases where Sir Gilman and Pamitha left their own groups to join the Nightwings, changing Triumvirates requires a lengthy procedure, so it's best to form large teams if they're more likely to play together (e.g. the Investigation Team and the Shadow Operatives, or the Mane Six and the Cutie Mark Crusaders). Mons of deities, if they don't have a limited summon time (like an SMT!Demon or a Digimon, but not a Persona or Eidolon), participate as separate team members.
      • Within the sim, participants are donned in raiments reminiscent of those the Nightwings posses, but in color themes decided by the Triumvirate they represent. New masks and raiments are designed to account for those who aren't human (Nomad like Hedwyn or Savage like the Stowaway), Demon, Cur, Wyrm, Imp, Harp, Sap, or Bog-Crone. And the "Book of Rites" each player has to hold will float close by for those who lack the appendages to carry them.
      • Trinkets/mementos held by/in the possession of a player and/or Triumvirate get added in their inventory as equipment that can mildly enhance one's abilities, aid in the Pyre's survivability, give advantages at the cost of getting a handicap, or hamper the enemies' capabilities, though some of them are limited to certain people.
      • The simulation ensures that during any Rite, only one player per team moves at a time by locking the others in place when one has already decided to move. Coordination and trust is vital, and can be made easier with an assigned teammate not actively participating serving as a Reader/Coordinator, who can mind-read their teammates and telepathically communicate with them (those who already have such abilities can use them in the sim even as a player).
      • After each Rite, victory or defeat, all participants (save the maxed-out Nightwings) earn Enlightenment, which eventually unlock Masteries (maximum of 4, with a chain of wins required to change that up) unique to each player. All other members of both teams get Inspiration, which become Enlightenment should they participate in a Rite. They also earn points that can he spent on (temporary possession ofnote ) various trinkets the Nightwings have used throughout their Rites. For some (like ), this means having a small set. For others (like Neku and friends), this gives them a large repertoire to choose from.
      • Another feature from the Rites mimicked into the Sim-Rites is the Titan Stars Challenges that can be called upon for the sake of, well, a challenge, as well as bonus points for trinket loaning. To avoid any implications of unwanted pity or overconfidence, the Nightwings aren't allowed to use this feature, but all the other Triumvirates can.
      • There is no equivalent for Ascension Rites, since the Sim-Rites are meant for fun.
    • One additional benefit the Nightwings got along with their ascension is to grant them the ability to project and cast Aura like if they were in the Rites (the Stowaway once defended the camp from Howlers this way, and Sir Gilman burst obstacles (and the Pyrehearts which he once was a member of when they pursued him) hindering the Nightwings). These attacks are only as strong as a shove or physical charge, and in Ti'zo's case, since his Implosion is a Suicide Attack in the Rites, it merely renders him winded for a bit here.
    • Due to having been exiled for literacy and promoting literature against the government specifically respectively, the Reader and Volfred have it against Big Brother for burning books and stifling people's literacy.
      • With literacy not being illegal, the it's been considered that the Nightwings (save the already literate Reader and Volfred) be provided language lessons.
    • Due to its extreme prejudice against traitors to their nations, the Nightwings are advised to stay away from SCP-516 when possible, particularly Hedwyn (deserted his post in a war), Joadriel (unauthorized liberaion of POWs), and Pamitha (betraying her sister (and her country), even if in an attempt to save her).
  • Exclusive to The Reader:
    • Rumored to be an aspect of (Insert Name Here), the Reader's past is inconsistent (like if they were an old farmhand or a war orphan), if it's even known. What is known is that their crippled condition as a result of being cast down prevented them from participating in the Rites. With the upcoming simulation, they can have a chance of experiencing the Rites for themselves.
    • Never takes off their cloak, making their identity a mystery. Those who saw beneath it have deigned to keep it a secret, and the nature of the Reader's character makes it inconsistent.
    • Occasionally, when given some alone time, the Reader consults with a green crystal, which is found to be inhabited by a wraith named Sandra, of the Beyonders Triumvirate.
      • However, after an incident which ended up with the Beyonder Crystal nearly shattered, the Reader went around to find a way to protect it without interfering its ability to communicate with them. They eventually found one, and it came with a bonus of being able to summon Sandra from the crystal at times, though she's still bound to it like a genie in a lamp. Regardless, the Reader has become a lot more careful.
      • No, she won't be conducting Scribe Trials for anybody else; those days are over, the Sim-Rites already got that covered, and the Reader isn't that trusting of the Crystal to anybody.
  • Exclusive to Hedwyn:
    • Sometimes practices his cooking skills at the House of Food after rumors of how bad he was at it spread. He insists that was because of the Downside's food pretty unpalatable overall. As such, he ends up not having much good ingredients, and he had been trying his best.
    • -something about his girlfriend's dedication to him that she would join him in the Downside if he isn't Liberated-
    • -something about getting flak for his desertion to find a "loved one"-
  • Exclusive to Jodariel:
    • Due to having participated in wars against the Harps on behalf of the Commonwealth, she has trouble with trusting harpies of any sort. It took a long while (and the Reader's guidance) before she can even consider working together with Pamitha (assuming neither get Liberated before then).
    • Prior to and during the war, she's adopted and cared for orphans, among them Hedwyn when he was young. As such, she's gotten acquainted with and gets along with not only some of the children who can get past her imposing appearance, but also other orphanage protectors like Julis-Alexia and Kazuma Kiryu.
      • While it's what got her exiled, she draws the line against those who would execute children, even if they're from the enemy side.
    • As someone who would found a quasi-police force in the new Sahrian Union if she gets Liberated, she has cordial relations with law enforcement deities (as long as they don't exploit their authority).
  • Exclusive to Rukey:
    • It's not much, but there's been one little thing noted about Rukey; his stylish mustache, or the occasional lack of it, which depended on the Reader's critique of it.
    • Having once been a smuggler of goods, he gets along nicely with Han Solo; on top of their (initial) careers, both have also taken part in a rebellion against a corrupt government (even in the off-chance that Rukey never gets Liberated, he's still helped the Reader who would eventually lead the Nightwings and help Liberate his teammates, and Rukey would still be among the players to stand by their side).
  • Exclusive to the Stowaway:
    • Will answer to any of the following names (which are all pronounced as if rhyming with "gray"): Mae, Kae, Dae, Xae, Tae, Shae, Rhae, Lae, Chae, Nae, Zhae. Due to much potential for confusion or degoratory puns, the following have been removed (i. e. she's been instructed not to treat these as addressing her by name): Fae (there's a Manakete who goes by that name already), Gae (sounds like "gay"), and Bae (very memetic).
      • That said, given certain things like her leitmotif, and what she's addressed by the game if the player enters Versus Mode without loading a Campaign first (or at least one where the Nightwings find her at that point in the story), the majority default to Mae, and it's used in documentation, though the other names are still used. Isis hasn't deigned to confirm if this is indeed her true name or not.
    • Occasionally, she can be found preaching (not to an overbearing extent, of course, after the first few times) what she knows about the Eight Scribes' teachings, if she isn't marveling at all the things the Pantheon has to offer.
    • Used to eat the least she can, because she disliked to hurt animals to eat meat. Angès understands that feeling, having had a similar thought process and vegan diet before Ringabel of all people snapped her out of that when she and her party had been stranded out at sea and there was only fish to eat.
  • Exclusive to Ti'zo:
    • Despite his diminutive size and cute appearance, Ti'zo is actually not only very intelligent, but long-lived as well. The only thing keeling him from being as revered as Yoda is the fact that he can't speak the same language as Commonwealth exiles (and by extension the rest of the Pantheon). For some reason, he didn't get the same gift of tongues most every deity in the Pantheon gets. Only telepaths can communicate with him easily.
    • Occasionally, he can be found swimming in lakes or shorelines to catch fish to eat.
  • Exclusive to Sir Gilman:
    • When he isn't practicing speedy movements with Rukey, Sir Gilman can often be found perched at above-average elevations (perhaps even on other living beings if they're all right with it) to tame his fear of heights.
    • Having been under the service of a cowardly commander (in a race full of glory seekers), he has zero tolerance for such and think they're undeserving of their rank. Lord Djibril is on the top of that list.
      • Those who show incompetence or are otherwise unfit for command or have no business in it are those he won't tolerate, either, such as Zapp Brannigan.
    • <Riven from League of Legends was self exile after her country used chemical Warfare to win a battle that destroyed allies and enemies alike. She is a proud warrior who thought it was dishonorable.>
  • Exclusive to Pamitha:
    • When it came to caring for a sibling who's... admittedly not the best of people, Pamitha thought she was alone in this regard. As it was, that's not the case in the Pantheon. As such, she can understand the situation of Jaime Lannister (though she's weirded out by the incest he has with Cersei) and occasionally share drinks with him.
      • She also gets along with Mokuba Kaiba (even if Seto isn't exactly evil anymore) and Zuko (even though he didn't start his pity until after Azula went mad for a while, and even hated her back then).
    • Coming from a race filled to the heart with vengeance, while not harboring much of them herself, Pamitha pities those who can't bring themselves to let go of their grudges over any sort of logic. Especially if they have enough honor not to accept easier ways to achieve it.
  • Exclusive to Volfred:
(something about leading a peaceful rebellion)
  • (something about his being a Prime Minister of the Sahrian Union should he be Liberated)
  • Exclusive to Bertrude:
    • Bertrude's trade revolves around potions, talismans and other powerful magic items, so she can sometimes be found.
    • Some folks think her fireproof ink shouldn't have worked since that logically should've ended with burnt books and a puddle of ink on the floor. Unless the ink was specially hexed.
    • Something a little more significant than Rukey's mustache (or lack thereof), sometimes Bertrude is plagued by nightmares and sometimes she isn't. As it turns out, it's a side effect of being from multiple timelines, as there are three outcomes to when she asked the player to invoke Yslach while playing against Udmildhe of the Withdrawn; either victory is achieved, loss is suffered, or the Reader chose not to risk it.
  • Exclusive to Tariq:
    • Without the Rites to constrain him to his duty, when he isn't []spoiler:spending time together with Celeste]], Tariq roams the Pantheon, relaying tales of the Nightwings and the Rites through his songs.
    • During his wanderings, he ran into the Bard, who had heard of his songs, was entranced by what Tariq was singing, and wanted to know more. He would also guide the Minstrel to Edward's temple to share his tale.

Vincennes Private Girls' Academy, The Holy One-Gender School (Vincennes)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/0621_0320.png
Vincennes Academy Main Hall, with Cathedral in Center
  • [tup]s: 2 (The Wikia Editor, Muundeis)
  • Description: An exclusive, all-girls school located on top of a mountain called Mt. Amuro
  • Symbol: The Cathedral, but especially the old bell tower
  • Alignment: Lawful Neutral (Many students here tend to align toward Lawful Good, while some of the higher-ups turn out to be Lawful Evil)
  • Portfolio: One-Gender School that some seek to subvert, partly due to sparing no expense on furniture or renovations, Boarding School, Elaborate University High, Town with a Dark Secret
  • Domains: Schools, Change, Settings
  • Sacred to: Tamie Nogi, Konomi Yanase
  • Vincennes Academy is an all-girls school located somewhere in a mountainous part of Central Japan. The school itself is located on top of a mountain called Mt. Amuro. Specifically, it occupies virtually the entire peak of the mountain, to the point that even the mountainside lake is effectively theirs.
  • Founded during the Meiji restoration, the school was established by French Catholic missionaries following the opening-up of the country. Their influence still reigns strong even to this day, with the use of French terms in everyday life there, as well as the old cathedral still standing strong.
  • Of special note is the school's prestigious position. So prestigious, in fact, that its administrators spared no expense on pretty much everything inside the school, ranging from furniture to entire renovations.
    • In fact, this is partly the reason why some seek to make the school co-ed. Due to the decreasing number of incoming students and piling up debt from the aforementioned renovations and unnecessary spending, some within the school's administration and student body have proposed going co-ed as a possible solution. Naturally, a number of the more conservative elements, both administration and student alike, oppose this, seeing it as a change from the status quo they have had for decades.
  • The school overshadows a small city known for having Yakuza activity, especially in the suburban areas and around the train station at night. Because of this, the hooligans and criminals often target Vincennes students in the rare event that some of them venture out.
  • Depending on certain choices made by their first male student, the school can either subvert the status quo and become a co-ed school, or maintain the status quo. It all depends whether the guy in question ends up with someone related to the school's, and by extension, his and his hometown's past, or someone who isn't part of the "core" cast.
    • In the former situations, he manages to win the Grande Vote by gaining support of the majority of the student body. The epilogue scenarios show a positive effect happening to the school not long after.
    • In the latter, he ends up focusing too much on his relationships with his Love Interests, and consequently ends up being forced to move out at the end of the school year, albeit with him leaving on good terms. It's heavily implied that the school will continue to move on, albeit possibly dying a slow and drawn-out death.
  • Unknown to most students, faculty, and even people living in the nearby town, the school is host to a Dark Secret. The secret in question? One of their most prominent alumni was responsible for an infamous incident involving arson and attempted murder during a summer festival. However, the full details of this aren't revealed to The Protagonist except on a certain route, where it's revealed that the arsonist in question was his own Love Interest's mother, and that she was the same person responsible for almost killing him that time as well.
  • Upon the school's ascension, both Tamie Nogi and Konomi Yanase are relieved to finally be back in a familiar place. Immediately, they make their home in their old dorm rooms located in the campus. With no strict faculty or admins, both of them freely invite other interested deities, particularly those from the House of School, over.
  • Among the deities that enjoy Vincennes the most are the students from Yamaku. They immediately note how Vincennes heavily resembles their own school, spacious dormitories, lavish facilities, and all.

[down] Thanks! Just don't double post.
