Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

This has ten bullets now, so I'm accepting votes, but suggestions are fine as well.

Eva Adamson, Goddess of Emergency Transformations

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/eva_drawn_cover.jpg

  • Hall of Transformations
  • Quasideity
  • Symbol: A purple and yellow butterfly
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Portfolio: Underwent an Emergency Transformation, Protagonist Title, has Recurring Dreams about trees, named after Adam and Eve, learns she'd become a chimpanzee in the second chapter, figured it by looking in a mirror, still legally human, struggles with chimp instincts, Deadpan Snarker, dies of old age in the last chapter believing that chimps will inherit the Earth
  • Domains: Chimpanzees, ethics, fame
  • Allies: The Librarian, Tobias, Caesar, Winston, Tarzan, Captain Planet and the Planeteers, WALL-E and Eve, Inklings and Octolings
  • Interested in: Zaius
  • Of interest to: King Louie
  • Pities: The Once-ler
  • Enemies: Pokémon Hunter J, the Glukkons, Buy n Large
  • Annoyed by: Mojo Jojo
  • In a future where human overpopulation has rendered most large animals extinct, Eva is the daughter of a primatologist who studies captive chimpanzees. As a result, she'd grown up interacting with his chimps and could communicate with them before she could talk. One day, when she was barely a teenager, she was involved in a horrifying car accident... and woke up eight months later in a body of a chimp named Kelly. The doctors explained that they copied her memories using a bleeding-edge procedure, which her mother agreed with to save her life. After leaving the hospital, Eva goes back to her old life (communicating with a text-to-speech keyboard) and becomes a media sensation, but it turns out the project had far bigger plans: she ends up being relocated to one of the last wild islands on Earth to teach a troop of chimps how to survive on their own.
  • Eva is an honorary member of the Hall of Primates. The member she interacts with the most is Zaius; in his world, great apes became the new civilisation after humanity declined, just like what she imagined would happen in her world. She thinks erasing all evidence of human history is excessive, though. As for its other members, she finds Mojo Jojo annoying. She initially pitied Winston because she thought he was another product of human exploitation, but was amazed when she learned he was a well-regarded scientist.
  • There are some great apes in other halls that Eva gets along with, too. She quickly related to Caesar, a captive chimpanzee who was mistreated by humans and eventually led his kind to find a new home. The Librarian is another human who became an ape and adjusted quickly. She prefers not to use her keyboard when interacting with them, instead communicating like a normal chimpanzee.
  • King Louie is the opposite of Eva: an ape who wants to be human. He's fascinated by man's red flower (fire), and once asked Eva to teach him how to make it. Eva refused, in case he burned down the entire House of Beasts.
  • She finds common ground with Tobias of the Animorphs. Just like her, Tobias became a wild animal in his early teens and grappled with his dual identity. Unlike Eva, he did so by choice. She's curious about morphing, but the morphing cube is strictly off-limits. She also has the same name as Marco's mother, which leads to confusion sometimes.
  • Eva grew up in a world where the few remaining wild places were heavily protected. As a result, she was amazed to learn there were many gods who grew up surrounded by wilderness; she gets along the most with Tarzan, another human who grew up with apes; and Captain Planet and the Planeteers due to their dedication to protecting the environment... even if their show is schlockier than the Adam and Eve cartoon she grew up watching.
  • Conversely, she despises anyone who exploits nature. Pokémon Hunter J is a ruthless hunter of rare creatures, but fortunately chimps are too mundane to be on her hitlist. The Glukkons destroyed their planet for the sake of business and hunted down many species to near-extinction, including their Mudokon slaves. Plus, their all-encompassing hunger for profit is like a twisted mirror of the shapernote  companies who might as well rule her world. Buy n Large are another all-consuming corporation that destroyed the environment, so Eva admires WALL-E and EVE for restoring both life to Earth and the Axiom passengers' will to live.
  • Eva pities the Once-ler, because he's like a microcosm of humanity in her world. He exploited a forest and cut down its trees for profit until nothing else remained, causing his company to collapse. Now, he's an old man who regrets his actions, but there's still hope for a better future: one Truffula seed remains. Similarly, humans in Eva's world became overpopulated until there was little left but cities, and they gradually lost the will to live; by the time Eva died of old age, people were committing mass suicides, but she believed chimps would inherit the Earth.
  • Eva's chimpanzee instincts still long for the jungle, and the Pantheon has two: Isla Nubar and Isla Sorna. Unfortunately, very few gods are allowed there because of the risk of being killed by their dinosaurs. She isn't one of them. She was horrified when she learned how these dinosaurs came to be; humans developed the technology to resurrect extinct species, only to use them as entertainment? She had to reign in the urge to rip John Hammond's face off.
  • Eva is interested in the Inklings and Octolings because they're two other species who inherited the Earth from humans. After rising sea levels rendered most large land animals extinct, the last humans took refuge in an underground cavern. Eventually, they all died, but their collective desires were absorbed by crystals, which were in turn absorbed by various sea creatures. Some Inklings and Octolings have saved the world from humanity's relics. Ever curious, they like to ask Eva all about the Age of Mammals.

Andre, God of Post-Final Bosses (The Dark Lum Lord, Andy)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/30c5c4926202f57d06fb164ec849b30f.png
  • Hall: Boss Fights N To Z (House of Gaming)
  • Quasideity
  • Symbol: His Black Lums
  • Theme Song: Andre Sets Out To Conquer
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio: Big Bad of the third game (though he shares the role with Reflux), Ambition Is Evil (specifically, to Take Over the World), Fought After The Final Boss (if you can even call it a fight), Non-Action Big Bad, Can Be Rather Amusing Even If His Sense Of Humor Is Unpleasant, The Napoleon, Tom the Dark Lord, Jerkass, Dirty Coward, Turns Red Lums Into Evil Black Lums, Has A Comparatively Mundane Name For The Setting, Enraged by Idiocy
  • Domains: Corruption, Villainy, Vulnerability, Temper, Mockery
  • Heralds: Reflux (his partner in crime), the Black Lums, the Hoodlums
  • Allies: Mr Dark, Admiral Razorbeard, Babidi, Bob the Killer Goldfish, Slappy the Dummy, Griffin (the Invisible Man)
  • Headbutting Villains with: Infinite, Gnasty Gnorc
  • Enemies: Rayman, Globox (honestly all good-aligned Pantheon/Rayman deities, but mainly them), Mickey Mouse, Billy, Earthworm Jim, Sparx, Spyro the Dragon, Ciel, Fecto Elfilin, Cappy, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrian Agreste
  • Wary of: The Chaos Kin
  • Andre was once merely another Red Lum, the simple shards of energy used to gain health. However while Rayman was sleeping his dreaming hands wandered off and performed various shadow puppets to a Red Lum, scaring it enough it transformed to a Black Lum. Andre is an ambitious but physically very weak being who's power comes from corrupting other Red Lums into Black Lums, where they can craft cloth bodies to become actual enemies. Andre found himself in Globox's stomach for a time. His goal is to transform the energy of the Core of the World into Hoodlums so he can take over the world. Later on he would team up with the hunter and "hero" of the Knaarens to get mutual revenge on Rayman. When left with no-one to defend him he booked it, and met a quick end with a mere grimace from Rayman.
  • The Dark Lum Lord's ascension saw the same Red Lum come back, and be spooked into becoming a Black Lum again. He wasn't sure how he regained his sense of self back, but is thankful and begged the Trope Pantheon to give him a safe temple where he can scheme. While having the job as the god of post-final bosses isn't that dignified a role, he'll take it. Andre would learn of other evil forces from his world ascended alongside his enemies of Rayman and Globox, that being Mr Dark and Admiral Razorbeard. As they share enemies, they will tolerate the Black Lum's assistance if only in a pragmatic way; with no Reflux to help him, they're understandably skeptical of him.
  • His creation, that being an accident of Rayman's, is curiously parallel to Mickey creating the Shadow Blot. Mickey wasn't impressed by Andre considering the high standard Disney villains often fulfill. Andre tends to ignore his insults and give his own in return. However, he is considering the need to up his game and if his Black Lum minions can make cloth bodies to actually throw hands, he can do better. He is currently scheming to try and take Earthworm Jim's suit for himself. Bob the Goldfish advised caution, which surprised Andre since eh didn't expect the fish to care for him. Bob admits that it's not so much he cares, but that "I can relate to you for obvious reasons". Andre may be a Jerkass, but he also knows not to look a gift horse in the mouth so he took a shine to him.
  • Andre is, to put it nicely, absolutely pathetic in combat. But he's no fool and is well-aware when to get out of dodge, which is why he relies on the power of others and his corruption of Red Lums. He is similar in some respects to Babidi in that his threat is entirely his magic and minions, however in spite of a big ego he is also a fair bit smarter than the wizard as he can think on his feet by quickly mounting a new plan for world domination; for example, by convincing Reflux to steal his king scepter to get revenge on Rayman, and by using the Leptys power in order to duplicate himself to infinity. The wizard was amused by the Black Lum and has decided for now, they should team up to manipulate stronger beings to their will.
  • Loves to make jokes at Globox's expense, particularly the dark kind. While some might argue he has a bad sense of humor, many of his insults and wisecracks do make him a source of comic relief. He particularly likes insulting stupid people, as he is Enraged by Idiocy and is constantly exasperated by Globox being a dummy; Pretty much the only compliment he'll give to Globox is admitting that even he wouldn't call him as dumb and obnoxious as Billy...Andre still hates Globox more, though. This annoyance is why he and Gnasty Gnorc have a difficult alliance. Andre has plans for Sparx, and Gnorc can at least see something out of working with the Black Lum for his larger conflict with Spyro. However that doesn't mean he likes being insulted for his intelligence. Still, at least Andre was wise enough not to call him ugly.
  • For those wondering why Andre is interested in Sparx, it is because of his original status as a Red Lum. Red Lums are intrinsically tied to Rayman's health meter, and Sparx the Dragonfly represents Spyro the Dragon's health. Having corrupted Red Lums, the Dark Lum Lord has a dream of corrupting Sparx to serve as an aid in his scheme of world domination. He isn't the only figure from another game series that Andre seeks to corrupt. Eyeing up Ciel's research, he was quite interested in the potential of Cyber Elves. He would learn of the Dark Elf and her corrupting under Dr Weil, and concluded "if I can figure out how to corrupt Cyber Elves I can use them to control technology!" These are just some of the new ideas that came to the Black Lum upon his ascension and awareness of the wider multiverse.
  • Andre is a cruel and vicious creature, but he knows that he wants to rule the world and not destroy it. He is wary of the Chaos Kin, but at the same time thought they would've been a fine ally were it not for the omnicide thing as they have many similarities; an entity of evil that makes mooks and is ultimately a coward that prefers to rely on other's strength...not that the Chaos Kin considers Andre worthy of notice. Within the same Hall he noticed Elfilin, and though they oppose each other because of how much of a jerk Andre is combined with his opposing morality the Dark Lum Lord does find it intriguing that they are both life-forms created by accident.
  • Darth Plagueis has some interest in Andre. As a Sith he has dedicated his study of the inner workings of life and the Force's influence on it, with midi-chlorians being a major focus. As Andre is the corrupted form of a Red Lum, he believes there is potential in analyzing these health-boosting items in a way that's complimentary to his larger studies and search for immortality. And he could be considered a parallel to Dark Side corruption. Andre is rather annoyed by his interest being entirely academic, as he would rather get attention for his scheming ways and learn tricks from him, but Plagueis has better things to do than that. Andre has come to call him "Darth Nerdius" and making fun of his "the Wise" moniker, all things considered.
    • Andre's existence has also been compared to Akumatization by Marinette and Adrian, complete with the ability to corrupt others to their cause. It's a comparison he sees as somewhat apt, and enough so that he now has the idea of teaming up with Hawk Moth should he ever ascend; Andre believes it's an better way to make minions than his usual corruption.
  • Somewhat jealous of Cappy because he is a ghost hat that can possess people by them wearing him. As a being who relies on others and other power to get any evil done, he wishes that he could possess others. He's also still salty about being swallowed by Globox and made a prisoner of his body, albeit a very noisy prisoner who liked to bang at his jail cell. His frustrations eventually caught the attention of Slappy the Dummy, who insulted Andre before realizing they are similar in being naturally weak but quite cruel beings that try to fight above their weight class. Given their mutually unpleasant attitudes it's definitely a case of Vitriolic Best Buds, but that's par for the course for the two.
  • Andre's search for allies that "gel with his style" led to a Villainous Friendship with the Invisible Man, surprisingly enough. Dr. Griffin has his own evil ambitions, mainly a Reign of Terror, but it inherently requires him to be hidden and out of sight from consequence via invisibility. He's just as grandiose as Andre too. He's a scientist, and Andre is a magical being...perhaps together, they could prove a true Weak, but Skilled villain combo. His ambitions would lead him to desire not just invisibility, but the Phantom Ruby as well which is why he teamed up with Infinite. Through the power of illusions he can compensate for his physical frailty and let him live out a power fantasy, and he does enjoy Infinite's violence in a "birds of a feather" kind of way. However Infinite is incredibly arrogant, more so than Andre, and looks down upon him being weak. He'll see where his schemes are going but will be quick to dip if there's a better option.

Jano, God of Mouth Cams (Guardian of the Cave of Bad Dreams)

  • Allies: Dream of the Endless, Ysera, SCP-990, Meta Knight
  • On good terms with: Rayman, Kirby
  • On speaking terms with: the Bone Cousins
  • Enemies: Those who try to plunder his riches (ie: Fafnir, Wario), Nightmare, Wizeman, Vaermina
  • Opposed by: Benjamin Krupp/Captain Underpants
  • Observing: Mr Dark, Admiral Razorbeard, Hypno, Zoroark
  • Disrespects: Doctor Facilier, The Sphinx
  • Jano is the Guardian of the Cave of Bad Dreams, the first nightmare of Polokus and a guardian of the Elixir of Life. When Rayman came to find a cure for his friend Clark's food poisoning, Jano tested him first by chasing him with his mouth, with the camera showing his POV. Afterwards, they thought. The whole thing was a dream sequence to test his worthiness, and he finished testing his resolve with either lots of riches or the cure for his friend. Rayman chose the latter and proved his heroism. Interestingly his creation of Antitoons makes him indirectly responsible for Rayman. It was his creations, the Antitoons, that prompted Betilla the Fairy to create Rayman alongside her fellow nymphs. How they feel about each other isn't clear, though there's no record of any direct villainy on Jano's part.
  • Jano is a cunning creature of moral uncertainty, being a living nightmare that created the vicious Antitoons and had fought with Rayman before. However even if people see him as a villain he's remarkably helpful. He had learnt of the Trope Pantheon because he was curious what Rayman was up to after the Robo-pirates were defeated, and learned that their leader Razorbeard was there alongside the more cunning foe, Mr Dark. Though some of his Antitoons appear to be "employed" by Mr Dark, Jano has stated that he is a neutral figure that won't directly go after him unless they interfere with the Cave of Bad Dreams. His memorable chase with Rayman got him ascended under the Mouth Cam trope, and if anyone antagonizes him they will learn why he has that trope.
  • The Cave of Bad Dreams, also known as the Kingdom of the Dead, is where the monsters generated by Polokus' nightmares are locked away by its guardian, that being Jano. Few dare to ever enter it, not even the Robo-Pirates wanting to bother with it. Though a literal nightmare, Jano is not like Nightmare or Wizeman as he doesn't seek to spread nightmares and fear across the land...quite the opposite, as he ensures the nightmares of Polokus are kept locked away. Though Polokus is his superior, Jano recognizes Dream of the Endless as an even higher being and shall defer to him unless Polokus ascends...who would likely regard the Sandman as his superior anyway.
  • Jano's preferred haunt in the Trope Pantheon is the Hall of Dreams and Nightmares, since as mentioned his job is to keep the nightmares of Polokus in check. There are a variety of malicious dream manipulators he has to keep watch for such as Vaermina, and with the Pantheon being home to some heavy hitters it's not an easy job. Fortunately for Jano he has beings such as Ysera who can aid him in his job. As shown with the Antitoons Jano does have a bit of a malevolent side, so deities like the Inception Crew and Ned Needlemeyer choose to tread cautiously around him. Jano has recently been working with Meta Knight in an attempt to test Kirby's resolve as he did Rayman's, as due to the wider and more varied expanse of his new environment he believes it pays for him to be more proactive.
  • His skill with hypnotism has brought Hypno's attention. Jano knows that the Psychic type is a dream eater, so he warned him not to come close or else he might get a serious case of indigestion. Rayman thinks Jano is simply distrusting of those who eat dreams, given his nature, but Jano denies it. He is mildly intrigued by Zoroak because of the illusions the Dark type creates, as he considers them impressive work. Benjamin Krupp distrusts Jano because he was a victim of hypnotism, but the guardian of the Cave of Bad Dreams never spares a thought for him. Well, he does spare one thought; he finds his transformation into a superhero somewhat interesting. As Captain Underpants he still doesn't trust Jano, but because he's a sketchy guy instead of the hypnosis.
  • He has heard rumors being spread that the Elixir of Life is a Panacea able to cure any illness, which annoys him. It was specifically designed to cure Clark's food poisoning, though he admits the flashy name might make people think it does more. Due to her motivation to Find the Cure! Ai Habara and Trafalgar Law were somewhat intrigued by Jano and wonder what else he might make. Jano has stated that "he doesn't give them out for free", and because people have figured out his trick if he wants to give some rare cure out he'll test them in a different way. He does appreciate the work done by the House of Health and Diseases and he does buy from their pharmacies.
  • Described by some as "a feral-looking Mike Wazowski", though asides from appearances they don't have anything in common. He considers comparisons with Baba Yaga more accurate as they are mysterious, creepy and solitary magic users. He doesn't like her baby-eating, stating that despite the chase he never actually intended to eat Rayman, but is otherwise ambivalent outside of respect for her magical abilities. She suspects that he has still eaten people, and in fairness he can understand why.
  • Like Doctor Facilier, he shares a good amount with Baron Samedi. The hat, the voodoo-esque abilities...it's enough to give Charlotte LaBouf, Tiana and Princess Naveen some pause given their bad experience with the Bad Samaritan. They have nothing to fear from Jano, though, and he's stated his opinion on Facilier; "a heartless hustler with a bad taste in friends". Facilier was somewhat impressed by Jano's mind games. The riddling sphinx was impressed by said mind games too, but Jano doesn't think much of "a smug kitty-cat who doesn't know how to accept defeat".
  • He has a large cache of treasure, perhaps not to the extent of Scrooge McDuck but still nothing to sneeze at. He was pleased to see Rayman not let greed overtake his compassion for his friend, since if he chose the gold he would've lived on a deserted island as the Robo-Pirates continued to run rampant. Of course, Jano knows there are plenty of greedy deities who will go to the Cave of Bad Dreams for no other reason than to take his treasure, such as Fafnir and Wario. Jano has made it clear that this treasure "isn't for sale" and while he'll humor them with a head start, he won't show any mercy to thieves. He has given that warning to the Bone Cousins as well, but in a more friendly manner. Despite their greed, they did save their world's Dreaming from the Lord of Locusts. So while they may eye his treasure, he has some respect for them he lacks for Wario.

  • Elliot Spencer was originally a British man born in Victorian London 1887 who served the British Army during World War I where he was stationed in France to fight enemy forces. Initially a polite, honorable, and diligent man with great empathy, the Battle of Flanders psychologically crushed Elliot, causing him to become jaded and disillusioned towards humanity and his belief in God. Desperate to stave off his thoughts in the war, he turned to hedonism to pleasure and satisfy himself. That is until he stumbled across a peculiar-looking cube. Unbeknownst to him, this was the fabled Lament Configuration, a puzzle device that, when solved, allowed the solver and anyone in their surroundings to be transported into a demonic dimension where they would be met by demonic beings known as the Cenobites. There, Elliot received the ultimate pleasure at the cost of revoking his humanity and allowing his hosts to transform him into a Cenobite Priest where he would serve as a leader to three fellow Cenobites in distributing the Lament Configuration around the world and greeting themselves to whoever solves them. The Cenobite Priest has remained the most recurring and personal of his brethren, always involving himself in situations where good and evil people struggle over claiming ownership of the Lament Configuration for their own ends, but in the end, the Priest only really cares to see and learn what their invite desires, be it lust, power, pleasure, whatever their hearts desire. But regardless of what the invite wants, the outcome will always be a harrowing, visceral one, evocative of the Cenobite's addiction to pleasure.
  • It is not known for how long the Cenobite Priest had learned about the Pantheon, let alone how he ascended into the divine realms. That said, there were reports and rumors of the Lament Configuration being sighted and official confirmation of the cube led to a massive manhunt by many, either to seal away the configuration to ensure its evil doesn't spread or to claim it for themselves in the pursuit of ultimate power and pleasure. Whatever the outcome was, the Cenobite Priest referred to most as "Pinhead", didn't pay much matter to whoever had the cube, for what really concerned him was whether someone had solved the box to enter his domain. The revelation that there was more than one Lament Configuration in the Pantheon and the urgency of collecting the infamous box would cement the Pinhead and the Cenobites' presence and reputation in the Pantheon. The whole slew of events actually pleased him to an extent as it meant there were more who were to be lulled into the box's temptations and furthering the Cenobites' influence in the Pantheon.
  • Despite his grisly background, Pinhead refers to himself and his fellow Cenobites as "demons to some, angels to others", seeing themselves as above the confines of conventional morality, even if they understand and are somewhat aware of their humanity. He has a booming, commanding presence that could put even the toughest figures into submission, and considering his perspective on pleasure is subjecting others to some of the most painful and horrifying torture and execution methods possible, his inspiration of fear is well-founded. Yet despite this and his sadistic compulsion for pleasure, Pinhead isn't a depraved monster; it has an honorable side and could recognize someone if they were forced into solving the Lament Configuration or were tricked into solving it, whereupon it would spare them from their wrath and let them be, citing that true pleasure must come with innate desire and temptation, instead directing his rage on the true aggressor. He's also open to making deals with others and would grant others a wish should they accumulate enough sacrifices with the cube. Regardless, Pinhead and the Cenobites remain very powerful demons with supreme control over the reality they dwell in and they don't directly participate much in what happens in the Pantheon, their reputation and the hunt for the Lament Configuration in the divine realms have more than established their presence.

  • In one Halloween night in Haddonfield, Illinois, a young six-year-old boy murdered his older sister seemingly without any provocation and would later be sent to Smith's Grove Sanitarium where he would reside for fifteen years and be looked after and studied by Dr. Samuel Loomis before making his escape and deciding to make his way back to his old home. Along the way, he catches the attention of a teenage girl, Laurie Strode, and makes it a goal to stalk and terrorize her, even killing her friends to further Laurie's anguish. After a brief scuffle, Laurie is saved by Loomis who shoots the man, but he suddenly disappears. Who is this man? If Loomis had to describe him, this is a man with absolutely no concept of good and no understanding about understanding anything positive. All this man knows and feels is evil and it somehow transcends this and makes itself less a man and a unadulterated force of pure evil. Thus was born the greatest terror of Haddonfield. This was The Shape. This was the horrifying legend of Michael Myers.
  • The details surrounding Michael's emergence and ascension in the Pantheon were about as shrouded in mystery as the man himself. As far as many were concerned, Michael just showed up one day and started to kill at an indiscriminate level, often leaving behind bloody floor gashes and corpses that range from being disjointed to being crushed and gutted repeatedly. Needless to say, many were on edge about a brutal spree killer making waves in the divine realms and Michael wasn't going to stop anytime soon, especially during the Halloween season when he really desires to relive his greatest pastime of butchering whoever he takes an interest. There were several killers in the Pantheon with similar modus operandi, but none of them matched the sheer mystique or the level of infamy that Michael Myers could inspire, and according to most, this reputation must have been why he ascended into the Pantheon. In Michael's perspective, he sees the Pantheon as nothing more than a glorified hunting spree; he's more than open to the idea of stalking and killing gods, be they titles o legitimate ones. He doesn't care about what kind of being his victims are, only that they are his victims.
  • Michael Myers is whom most would refer to as the personification of pure, unadulterated evil and depravity, an abnormal monster with nothing human about him. This was the conclusion that Dr. Loomis had concluded after studying and looking after Michael for 8 years and spent the remaining seven trying to keep him locked away for exactly that. True to form, all eyewitnesses describe Michael as completely one-sided in his evil; there's nothing to convince or reason with him on as all Michael cares about is razing as much death and destruction as he can for nothing other than his sadistic curiosity. He has killed men, women, children, the elderly, people of color, and people of differing sexual orientations, all with no remorse and no concern about their identity. He may be stronger than an average man, almost always has a butcher's knife in hand, and has seemingly superhuman durability, but his greatest skill is his intellect, having tricked and deceived many into falling into his traps and his utter determination to carry out his actions. Simply put, Michael will not be stopped in what he desires and the Pantheon is just another Haddonfield as far as he is concerned, with Laurie's place in the divine realms being just an extra souvenir for the dreaded spree killer.
  • Michael's animosity towards Laurie Strode has been an intense one and it's because of this that Laurie earned her place in the Pantheon as the premiere Final Girl. Though the exact circumstances of why Michael terrorizes Laurie has been a subject of debate; was it because Laurie had been staying in Michael's former house that he now sees as his personal territory, or was it because they have a personal connection? At first, it was confirmed and widely accepted that Laurie was Michael's younger sister and the former simply wanted to finish off his family either to appease a cult that was tied to Michael's supernatural presence or simply to satiate his own hunt, with said hunt being shifted to Laurie's daughter Jamie once she was no longer available. Then came an alternate setting where the two were unrelated, but this lack of familiarity didn't stop Michael from antagonizing Laurie once he came back and making an enemy out of her daughter and granddaughter, Karen and Allison, setting himself up as a Familial Foe. With Michael later killing Karen and several of Laurie's friends, this enmity furthered and would only end with one's death, which eventually happened when Michael was finally killed and had his body destroyed just to make sure he never comes back. The Pantheon hasn't stopped these turn of events from personally desiring revenge against Laurie, but he'll hunt and kill others during his spare time before coming across his Arch-Enemy. Perhaps he'll try to find other final girls to test his persistence and might against as a way to torment Laurie, fully aware that she's well-acquainted with them, whereas Laurie herself, while panicky and nervous, is readying herself in her inevitable encounter against Michael and is more than welcome to receive aid and support from her new friends, hoping that her next encounter with the Boogeyman will be their last.
  • Johan Liebert is the one other person who gets the most comparisons to Michael whenever the topic of "pure evil personified" is brought up. Furthermore, both are associated with doctors who are determined to put a stop to their evil, with Kenzo Tenma being terrified by the sheer carnage and depravity Michael is willing to unleash just for thrills and as an outlet to express his evil. That said, Johan and Michael are quite different; the former is emotionally expressive and likes to cause destruction by using manipulations and honeyed words, all whilst keeping a gentle, soft-spoken facade, while the latter is so single-minded in being direct about his evil that absolutely nothing could convince or deter him from his goals. Thanks to this dark determination and the sheer immensity of his vileness, Michael would end up being one of the very few individuals whom Johan is unable to convince into doing anything for him, and his charms mean nothing to him, but this led to a strange feeling for Johan; joy and admiration for the Boogeyman, as Johan is enthralled to see someone as distinctively as purely evil and unfettered as he was. Although Johan keeps his distance from the Shape, knowing that he would likely try to kill Johan as well, he still keeps tabs on Michael through whatever surveillance he can, interested to see how much destruction his evil could be and how corruptive of an influence Michael could spread.

While probably a bit late to do so, I'd argue one could easily expand Pinhead's profile to be for the main four Cenobites (Pinhead, Chatterer, Butterball, and the Female/Deepthroat), representing Malevolent Mutilation together.

@Nitro

[tup]

@RJ

I have nothing, so [tup] for both.

@Crimson

For both, Jason Voorhees and the Ghostface Killers are slasher villains.

For Elliot, Griffith rejected his humanity to become a demon. Akira Fudo is also a human who turned into a demon, but he's still largely on the side of good.

Slaanesh is the deity of hedonism. Emperor Calus is very hedonistic. The Four Libertines are incredibly depraved hedonists.

Hidan and Darkness are masochists.

Ursula, the Devil (Cuphead), and Pluto of the Reverberation Ensemble are evil dealers.

Paul Baumer, Flyora, Violet Evergarden and Martin Walker were all traumatized by war.

For Michael, Takuto Maruki, Frasier Crane and Angus Bumby are psychologists.

Koume Shirasaka and Fujino Asagami are horror fans.

Dio Brando is said to be evil from birth, something he eventually embraced before becoming a vampire. Damian Thorne is naturally evil, with him being the Anti-Christ.

Bill Williamson is a mass murderer.

@Drakath

Evil Tower of Ominousness isn't taken. What do you have in mind for that trope?

I have the Spire from Slay the Spire in mind. It is a giant spire, large enough to have a city in it, that you spend the game climbing to try and destroy its heart. What's more is that according to flavor text this tower caused an apocalyptic event as it spread a disease known as Spireblight that caused fruit to become extremely rare.

[up] Yes, a trope can be held by a deity and a dominion at the same time, so Lucien and the Spire can hold Evil Tower of Ominousness since the former is a character and the latter is a place.

[down] So the Spire is a Genius Loci? That would mean that it could potentially be a deity (dominions should be just mere locations I think), but the distinction whether the Spire should be a dominion or a deity is rather muddy.

I still think that the SPIRE WITH A BEATING HEART is a better fit for this trope. But that's just me [up]I think it's more likely to be a domain, the game never states if the spire is sapient or not.

[up] Given the spire is a place it might be possible as a dominion, though I’m unsure if sentient dominions are allowed

I’m plotting my schemes wherever I go! They’re perfect in every way…

[up]the Spire is more of a Eldritch Location than a Genius Locii

You know, how do even tell the difference between am actual Genius Loci and an Eldritch Location?

[up] Please don't double post. Also of you're ok with making this a Dominion profile, I'm good to give you a [tup].

Also a bit of friendly advice, it's better to not openly say that you think your idea is better. That can cause you to lose some support.

[down] It's actually really easy. Just have a trope like Eldritch Location and remove to space between to make Eldritch Location. As for the link to the game, just put down VideoGame/SlayTheSpire

I'm sorry. Also I don't think I can make dominion profiles because I don't seem to be able to do links. I'm really just here to pitch ideas into the void and make sure that everything is up to code

[up] You can practice making links at your own sandbox before making a profile. Just go to Drakath51, click edit, and practice. Make sure to use Text-Formatting Rules as a guide (you can also view other pages to see how links are formatted here, especially by clicking Source Page hidden in the More button at the top of a page).

[up] You need to type it as VideoGame/SlayTheSpire. That way, you'll get Slay the Spire.

EDIT: It links to the page properly, so that's better.

One thing that is strange is that we have two gods for Chronic Backstabbing Disorder, is this allowed?
