Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Harry James Potter-Evans-Verres, God of Rationalist Fiction (General Chaos, Harryzer, Tom Riddle, Good Voldemort)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/harry_james_potter_evans_verres_by_talespirit_d50gn4y.jpg
Art by talespirit
  • Due to his very rational mindset, to get most of the questions (and answer-searching) over with, he was immediately explained everything about the Trope Pantheons, how things there don't fully operate on rational thought, that the world operates in a narrative sense (he is to consult with Stephen and Morgana about Observation and Cognition as soon as his temple was set up), that significant change won't come easy, and other caveats that make it so that he doesn't have to worry about leaving his world behind while he's here.
  • His run-in with his canon counterpart had been... complicated, and he's been warned not to react too negatively about any irrational decisions they made throughout their lives.
    • Rational Harry's meeting with Canon Harry actually went well enough. He's aware of one key difference (among plenty others) that set the two apart; their upbringing and whom their Aunt Petunia had married. A life of abuse brought about low self-esteem and humility, whereas a life of scientific upbringing (and all the books to provide for it) brought about intelligence... and a "mild" case of superiority. Despite that, Rational Harry is still very much a hero, possibly to a greater extent than Canon Harry in terms of dedication to helping others.
      • In the end, Rational Harry decided to regard Canon Harry as someone he could've been had things went differently, but isn't ultimately that much lesser for it.
      • To better tell apart the two Harry Potters, remember that the Canon one is in/past his Seventh Year, while Rational Harry is in his First, and occasionally in his House Ravenclaw robes.
    • Regarding Canon Hermione, he's had to remind himself that this isn't the one he knows from his world. The lack of (miniscule) troll and unicorn traits should be enough of a difference, not to mention being older. Still, Canon Hermione was shocked that in his world, the mountain troll ate her counterpart's legs and she bled to death, and that Rational Harry took great lengths to bring her back to life.
    • Has nothing to say to Canon Ron, given they never became friends in his timeline. The only thing that bothers him is the fact that it's he who marries Canon Hermione, and he has trouble comprehending what she saw in him.
    • On the other hand, he has a better friendship with Canon Fred and George and often visits them for supplies, and possibly some help in pulling pranks (some epic enough that they Obliviate themselves to keep the details secret should they get caught). Also, in his timeline, in lieu of Harry, they become the Heirs of Gryffindor instead. The twins were amazed that that was even possible.
    • Regarding Canon Draco, he's annoyed with the Slytherin's former bratty behavior, and he also feels awkward given he'd killed his father Lucius (and all the other Death Eaters), but at least he's trying to be better.
      • In fact, he wants to test if Canon Draco has enough happy thoughts of his parents that can render him able to summon a Patronus just like his world's Draco. Both Canon Draco and Ron think that is impossible, but Rational Harry took it as a challenge; he's done more impossible things already.
      • By extension, he tries to avoid Canon Lucius, given Rational Harry doesn't have the same political arrangement with him as the one from his world.
    • True, it took far longer, and he's not nearly as dedicated or as insanely brilliant, but he still respects Canon Neville's achievements. Neville on the other hand doesn't share the same sentiments, given that Rational Harry had been instrumental in freeing Bellatrix from Azkaban in his world, even if Quirrel/Voldemort manipulated him into it; as a "rationalist", shouldn't he have seen how much of a terrible idea it was?
    • Was initially surprised to see Canon Dumbledore, given how the one in his world ended up trapped in the Mirror of Erised. At the very least, he doesn't seem to be pretending to be sane pretending to be crazy.
    • He also has amicable relations with Canon McGonagall, though he found her a bit more stern, just like how she was when he first met her. He also decided to confide in her possible consequences for that by telling her of his world's version of the troll attack in First Year. Not enough help arrived with Harry to save Hermione from death (from bleeding out after her legs were eaten), and even after Fred and George saved the day with the Sword of Gryffindor, they fully expected to he expelled for going against the letter of her orders.
    • He's not sure what he can say to Canon James, but he treats Harry with as much love and pride that he was still a hero, attitude notwithstanding.
    • In regards to Canon Moody, given how he was subject to Informed Ability, Harry wondered what would be the best approach to gauging his abilities; alternate universe counterparts were not something he was used to yet. And then he found himself attacked in his temple by a paranoid Moody, and Harry was forced to step up his game to match. Neither are telling who won that duel, but Harry seemed to be satisfied at the end of it.
    • Naturally, upon hearing of a second Harry Potter in the Pantheon, Canon Voldemort and his Death Eaters were displeased with this and immediately made to teach him his place. Rational Harry summarily trounced them with his experience as General Chaos, and the fact that the Canon Dark Lord was nowhere near as competent as the version he had to deal with in his world made it all the easier.
    • Was left baffled that one of the theories of the implausible events between the Canon Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew was what actually happened. Naturally, given there was never a chance to meet, Rational Harry isn't nearly as close to Sirius as Canon Harry is. It doesn't help that in his world Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew are the same person. It turns out that, in there, Peter Pettigrew was a metamorphmagus instead of an animagus, and an actually guilty Sirius Black avoided being sent to Azkaban by arranging for a transformed and Confunded Peter to be arrested and imprisoned in his place.
    • Given how little they've interacted, if at all, he has no real opinion on Canon Cedric, [[ Luna Lovegood]] Hagrid, Trelawney, Slughorn, Lupin, Fenrir, or Barty Crouch Sr.
  • When word of how he dealt with his world's Voldemort spread; i.e. Brainwashing for the Greater Good, then transfigured into a jewel Harry will carry around forever, until he can safely revive and redeem him, this drew a lot of concern. To the surprise of some of the good guys, Rational Harry can understand these concerns, explained that given Voldemort's Horcruxes are mostly invisible and inaccessible (one of them was the Pioneer Plaque), forcing this alternative, making killing him more trouble than it was worth, and promises not to resort to what he did as a first/second/third/fourth/etc. option, but an absolute last. He still has to maintain the transfiguration on his adversary, at least until he managed to secretly requisition a stasis chamber.
  • Has a sleep cycle of 26 hours, making regular class schedules difficult to adapt to. Thankfully, he has a Time-Turner for this, bequeathed by his world's Professor McGonagall, which is mostly a secret from most of the Pantheon. The only ones who know he possesses it (besides those who can sense it) are Hermione, McGonagall and Canon Harry.
    • This is because there are entities that wouldn't be happy with his constant exploitation of it, especially the Dahaka, and this has forced him to tone down his use of it to just getting around his sleep disorder (and other minor stuff, and use alternative methods for more important matters instead). He speculates that Canon Harry had sleep disorder too, but that it was long since stamped out by his abusive childhood.
  • Is always prepared for any possible occasion, most importantly situation where he has to save a life, and his mokeskin bag sees to it that he can carry it all and call for what he needs. He has no Freudian Excuse for this until the gruesome death of his world's Hermione. He'll also know if his memory was compromised; he has a system prepared specifically for that situation.
    • And if he doesn't have something, he can transfigure it. And he's so good at it that he's even learned how to do partial Transfiguration, which is so far impossible for any wizard from the Potterverse.
  • As he was born with a scientific upbringing, he readily utilizes Muggle items/"artifacts" in conjunction with what magic he's learned in Hogwarts, making him that much more unpredictable compared to other classical spellcasters.
  • Aside from annoying him with ideas that lack any form of rational basis, one thing that sets him off is the idea that his parents might've been abusive, because they're not.
  • Rational Harry leads one of the most efficient 'armies' in the Pantheon. While not one of the strongest, they are one of the few that are the least crippled when it comes to infiltrators in its ranks. This is because he employs parts of the recon pull philosophy, where his subordinates have the initiative and can choose what they think is best while he acts as the coordinator focusing on the big picture.
  • Ever since he missed his chance on getting a phoenix, he's been trying again, mainly though trying to figure out Phoenix and what it would take to earn its favor. So far, there has not been much success.
  • When he had first heard that there were Dementors in the Pantheon (and as deities, no less), Harry decided he would go on a manhunt to purge the Pantheon of their presence, calling them a wound in the world. Upon hearing they had a temple, he went straight there with clear intent to find a way to exterminate every last one of them. If only he had some way of luring every single one to a single place so he can destroy them all once and for all. Unfortunately for him, the Dementors have their own allies and that means he'll have to make sure to get rid of those gods, too.
    • And for some reason, his reputation in his world managed to precede him all the way to the Pantheon, for when he first encountered one face-to-face, it immediately hightailed it out of there, screaming in fright, and all other Dementor encounters ended up the same way. It baffled him at first since he certainly knew that Canon Harry doesn't have this reputation with them, but he eventually deduced and concluded that they somehow know of his accomplishments against them (be it from the Court or the nature of the Trope Pantheons), namely being able to outright destroy them with his unique brand of Patronus Charm, though it is Cast from Lifespan when used in that level rather than that of a standard Patronus.
    • As a side effect of being The Dreaded to Dementors, Harry's become a target for the despair-propagators in the Pantheon as they're also concerned with this development; what is he capable of that Dementors actively avoid him?
    • Speaking of his Patronus, the fact that he can cast one has somehow become public knowledge too, and that it takes the form of a Homo sapiens sapiens, though not the Dementor-killing bit or or its ability to return life to a dead body. He's not teaching anyone how he does that; given its nature, and the required mindset, one has to personally come to the same conclusion and thought process he did lest they lose the ability to cast the standard Patronus Charm trying to mimic him.
  • Because of his symbol and his "chaos" strategy, some wonder if Discord or Q had anything to do with this inspiration. Both have denied all such claims.
  • Ever since first seeing McGonagall turn into a cat, even after learning Transfiguration in Hogwarts (to the point that he can do it partially, though he tries as hard as possible to keep that a secret), he twitches upon seeing other shapeshifters do their stuff. The few exceptions are technical "blobs" such as the T-1000, and the Hard Light Crystal Gems (his real issue is with Steven's existence period and his ability to fuse just like them, even with a completely organic companion like Connie).
  • Just because he's extremely intelligent doesn't mean he's infallible; he's still 11 years old, after all, and his various shortcomings have made that painfully obvious to him.
  • After the near-disaster that was his war against Voldemort/Professor Quirrel and everything that has led to it, he's finally learned that he's not the only hero in this fight, and always makes sure to confide what he knows to his superiors (and other adults as long as they respect his intelligence and don't blow him off just because he's a minor) in the fight against evil, mostly Dumbledore and Cosmos. Given his great intellect, the latter is grateful to have someone like him on her side.
  • As his struggles are on behalf of humanity, he naturally opposes YHVH for his progress-stifling ideals, and Lucifer for his goals putting a lot of humanity in danger in his fight against the former.
  • A rumor (which might be true) spread that Harry had apparently killed a unicorn for its blood some of which might've been used for the revival process on his world's Hermione, earning him the ire of not only Lady Amalthea, but all non-evil-aligned denizens of Equestria (Rarity on top of that list) and Xerneas. Harry for his part is trying to make time to clear up this issue, but he's annoyed that "narrative reasons" keep him from doing so at every turn.
  • Sees death as the final enemy to life and something that should be ultimately removed forever one day, and so he holds no favor to all grim reapers and death deities, but finds the Death Is Cheap nature of the Pantheon as a temporary convenience to help achieve his goal.
    • It's true that Harry seeks immortality, but he wants it for everyone, so any other seekers of it that have no problem with taking lives to achieve it (like Alex Wesker), or require lives to maintain the immortality are enemies of his as not only do they go against everything he believes in, it would ruin the whole point of his goal.
  • Advises broomstick riders to never attach a rocket to it for faster flying; he tried that himself, and it almost cost him and his passengers, as well as almost getting his pursuers burnt

@Oggy Let's see:

Oggy is not a bad suggestion. Maybe he has some competition but can't think of a candidate myself

I recall Four-Legged Insect being reserved but not sure what happened with that.

Boss Subtitles is not unique to them, so i suggest finding another trope.

And Hinawa seems like a good choice for that.

@Amazing Technicolor Wildlife: I think the Viva Piñata cast would work well for it. The game is set on an island full of unusual animals that have very bright and strange color designs.

On a different note, Day 1 repost for the Lepus. 3 approvals from faso, Donnie, and wootzits so far. Approvals or any remaining ideas for them are welcome.

The Lepus, Collective of Tame "Scary" Animals

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pet_store_bunnies.jpg
  • Demideities
  • Symbol: A rabbit with "ketchup" on its mouth
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Portfolio: Ascended to Carnivorism, Cute, but Not Harmless, Troublesome Rabbits
  • Domains: Rabbits, Size
  • Allies: Guinea Creatures, The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog, SCP-2006
  • Enemies: Judy Hopps & Nick Wilde, Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, The Farmer, SCP-524
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: Satellite of Love Crew
  • Source of Concern for: Fluttershy, Inori Yamabuki, Eliza Thornberry
  • Intrigues: Dr. Cortex, N. Brio
  • A bunch of rabbits are causing problems for a small town and to prevent them from breeding further, a serum is created that's meant to disrupt the rabbit's breeding cycle. Needless to say, this causes even worse problems when one of the rabbits injected with that serum escapes into the wild and comes into contact with even more hares. The end result is a bunch of giant bunnies causing a murderous rampage across town...at least, what's being described here is supposed to be scary in theory. It's mainly just a bunch of bunnies running around with ketchup on their mouths and obvious "scary animal roars" dubbed in to try and make these things a threat.
  • Reports have been going around that crops have been damaged by some creatures whenever The Farmer wasn't looking, upsetting him enough that he wanted to know what was going on. He discovered some larger-than-normal footprints near his land and realized that whatever was encroaching on his territory was more threatening than normal. Some time later, some deities investigating these going-ons went inside a house and discovered a bunch of bunnies ransacking the place. After getting surprised at what they saw, the rabbits then attacked and those deities later found out that they were the same creatures that destroyed The Farmer's livestock previously. A plan was put in place to eliminate these threats via electrified rail-tracks and while it worked, it was later discovered that more of these creatures were running around in the Pantheon and that as unlikely and ridiculous it may seem, the Pantheon will have to put up with a legion of "giant murderous rabbits" that can attack without warning.
  • Many see the Lepus as what could happen if The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog not only gave birth to a bunch of other murderous rabbits, but if that specific rabbit was suddenly given a similar growth hormone on top of that. The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog has been reported to be a part of the rampages that the Lepus instigate, something that the latter doesn't mind all that much. A lot of deities really don't want the serum that caused the Lepus to rise (or something potentially worse) to end up near the Killer Rabbit lest an already dangerous cute creature becomes something more horrifying than normal. To put it lightly, it's going to take more than one Holy Hand Grenade to fend off a swarm of Lepus.
  • The Lepus are often seen with the Guinea Creatures, another group of giant cute creatures that go around causing havoc on unsuspecting denizens. There have been sightings of Guinea Creatures wearing bunny costumes and going around with the Lupus in terrorizing innocents, destroying property and possibly attacking anyone that somehow gets too close to them (with some Lepus inexplicably turning into humans wearing cheap-looking rabbit costumes when attacking other humans from time-to-time). Recording both the Lepus and the Guinea Creatures going on a rampage is an even worse idea than simply recording the Guinea Creatures causing chaos independently, as unnaturally enticing as the idea of seeing cute menaces together may sound.
  • SCP-2006 has taken a strong liking to the Lepus after seeing one of their rampages and wanted to try and copy them during one of their subsequent rampages. The SCP Foundation was later notified that SCP-2006 had somehow broken out of containment and was scaring a bunch of unsuspecting denizens, but searching for the SCP proved easier said than done. Some had a suspicion that the SCP transformed himself into a Lepus, prompting the Foundation to follow a Lepus trial and find which one was actually SCP-2006. It required a bit of effort, but the SCP has since been put back into containment, with the Foundation putting in measures to ensure that a repeat of this kind of mayhem wouldn't happen, be it with the Lepus or other movie monsters.
    • It was during that endeavor to get SCP-2006 back in containment that the Foundation noticed that The Lepus and their appetite was akin to that of SCP-524, though not to the extent as that of the latter. One time when SCP-524 broke out of his pen, he was following the Lepus around, causing some to worry that he's joined their army of ravenous rabbits. Things took an unexpected turn when Walter the Omnivorous Rabbit starting eating some of the Lepus all of a sudden, which later led to Walter eating himself and later materializing back at his pen. A few deities have considered using Walter as a means of countering the damage that's caused by the Lepus and repeats of the initial incident between Walter and the Lepus have happened intermittently.
  • The crew of the Satellite of Love is among those who have ridiculed the antics the Lepus has caused for a multitude of reasons. The crew has often mentioned the film the Lepus originally starred in during some of their conversations even though no one has really seen the crew directly watch it and make fun of. Like other weird-looking threats that have been a constant thing in the movies the crew has watched, the crew is aware that the damage these odd monsters is real and that they would need to keep their distance from the Lepus as much as possible to avoid a potential disaster on the crew's end.
  • Hoping to find a way to try and attempt to subdue the Lepus without attempting to kill any of them, some deities decided to recruit those dedicated to talking to and helping animals to see if a Lepus can calm down. Fluttershy (who has had experience in talking to an unruly rabbit before), Inori Yamabuki, and Eliza Thornberry were brought in to locate some Lepus and see if there's a way to stop their rampage. Despite their best efforts, it ended in failure, with Eliza getting a few bite marks in the process and needing some treatment. All three still believe that there has to be a way to calm the Lepus down in a non-fatal way even if there's a lot of risks involved.
  • Judy Hopps & Nick Wilde learned about the various attacks that the Lepus has been causing and noticed that the idea of normally benign animals attacking as a result of some sort of substance isn't that different from their case involving Night Howlers. Whereas the Night Howlers weren't meant for any benevolent use whatsoever, the serum that turned the Lepus into giant rampaging rabbits was meant to solve a problem related to it that caused something even worse. Judy is more than worried about dealing with a group of rabbits that can cause lots of trouble all-around and she and Nick have sometimes gotten involved in cases involving the Lepus, mainly to determine where those rabbits will attack next so that innocents who can't defend themselves will have enough time to get out of the Lepus' way.
  • During one of his regular hunts for Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd found not only "wabbit twacks", but also some footprints much larger than a normal wabbit. Elmer was a bit curious about these larger footprints and followed them, leading him well past Bugs' rabbit hole where the wabbit watched Elmer follow those tracks to see where they would end up. Elmer then discovered the Lepus and was frightened at seeing a bunch of giant wabbits and attempted to shoot them. He only managed to get a few shoots in before running away in terror getting chased by some Lepus. Bugs was witnessing the mayhem and while watching other rabbits mess around with Elmer was amusing enough to him, it wasn't a laughing matter if Elmer ended up killed by giant versions of an animal that he has long hunted against and decided to lead the Lepus away from Elmer via some trick. Both Bugs and Elmer aren't fond of the Lepus overall, with the wabbit coming up with plans to throw the Lepus off their attacks.
  • Given how the Lepus are the result of a serum, many good-aligned scientists, including those that reside in the House of Science are studying their behavior and seeing if there's some sort of chance that the effects can be undone. Discussions have also arisen about potentially worse scenarios involving the Lepus getting affected with other different serums (including those that are designed by N. Brio) and measures have been put in place to make sure the Lepus don't go anywhere near the House of Science. This hasn't prevented the Lepus from ransacking the place from time-to-time, but at least they haven't been able to get their paws on any serums there (or anywhere else in general) for the time being, especially if it's something dangerous such as the T and G Viruses or the FEV.
    • On a slightly related note, Dr. Cortex learned about the Lepus and how they came to be through N. Brio. Cortex saw it as an opportunity to expand his plans to create an army of mutant animals. The Lepus proved to be more than troubling for him to deal with initially, but he was later able to find out what they're capable of and the kind of serum that was used that later resulted in their rampage. While Cortex isn't going to actually use the Lepus in his plans, he is at least using them as a reference point of sorts for future attempts at creating mutated animals.

I've been looking round for tropes without deities or locations, and found Crossover Cosmology. What would best represent it? A main character from a media that has it? A planet/domain with all the pantheons crossed over?

Because the only idea I can come up with is choosing Arkantos and his son Castor from Age of Mythology, whose world has Greek, Egyptian, and Norse gods, as well as the Greek Titans, and they have (separately) encountered most of them. It also has Chinese Gods, but they're not encountered throughout the story.

I'm sure there are better ideas from the rest of you.

[up][up] Genre Mashup comes to mind for Strange Genres mixed together, but that's taken by The SOS Brigade. Rhythm Game is taken by PaRappa the Rappa. Roguelike hasn't been taken yet, but you seem to have gone through three different suggestions for Cadence (at least, I think that's the case going by "rhythm/roguelike"). There's also a rule saying three trope suggestions for a character idea before it comes off as shoehorning.

@ The Lepus: [tup]

@ Ronnie: Because that's how many profiles were in the past and there's now an ongoing effort to either remove or rework them. Short texts are concise, yes, but many a time do they come off moreso overly cookie cutter and dull to get through reading. It seems just a waste to just base off characters from different mediums interacting from something so brief when one could just do so much more. The Pantheon is mother load of all crossovers.

Perhaps the biggest victim of this would be the voice actor/actress connections which more often than not amounted to: "Hello. We have the same voice." "Do you do things I like/dislike?" "Yes/no. We are allies/enemies/etc now."

Its framework, but not something I would start to walk and drive over just yet. If the texts does have to be concise, because admittedly everthing has a lot to talk about, then at least make it worthwhile.

Are there other gods or beings who are amalgamation of other gods/beings? Or what about those who were discriminated by society due of their occupation (one who comes to mind is Sanson).

Okina Matara, Goddess of Doors to Somewhere (The Ultimate, Absolute Secret God, Earth Mother Goddess, God of Noh, God of Stars, God of Silkworm Breeding, God of Hindrances, God of Burakumin, etc.)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_th16okina.png
  • Greater Goddess
  • Symbol: One of her backdoors
  • Theme Music: The Concealed Four Seasons, Secret God Matara ~ Hidden Star in All Seasons
  • Alignment:
  • Portfolio: The Secret God of Many Facets, Power to Create Back Doors, Ushirodo-no-Kuni, Power over Vitality and Mental Energy, Likes to Sit Around, Wants to Stand Out
  • Domains: Gods, Doors, Thrones, Energy
  • Heralds: Satono Nishida and Mai Teireida
  • Allies: Yukari Yakumo (full relation still pending)
  • Rivals: Nyotengu, Aya Shameimaru
  • Okina is one of the sages who created Gensokyo, and one of its protectors from the Outside World. Calling herself a secret god, she is a multifaceted god who hides behind all creation. A god whose true nature is unknown to all others.
  • Her main power is the power to create back doors by placing them onto objects like people's backs. These doors lead back to Ushirodo-no-Kuni (Land of the Back Door), a realm with nothing but giant doors which are connected to her back doors.
    • Own its own, this is not that impressive of a power. However, this allows Okina to fully utilize a power she mysteriously gained one day, which is the power to manipulate life and mental energy. By placing one of her back doors on a person's back, she can directly manipulate their life energy, such as pouring life energy into them to make them stronger. By using this with fairies, this caused huge influx of seasonal energy to appear, rapidly altering the seasons in Gensokyo. She can even outright create life, or at least give life to inanimate objects by charging them with life energy.
  • Okina is largely based on Matara-jin, a god with multiple facets and one connected to many other gods and people. As such, her dominions are vast and varied. She is a Earth mother who is also a god of noh, stars, silkworm breeding, hindrances, untouchable and probably more. She is also said to be god of disabled but how true it is is up in the air.
    • Is sort of disappointed that there are only few noh performers like Yumi. She also hasn't elaborated if she has any connections to Hata no Kokoronote
    • To elaborate on her being "god of burakumin", it is referred to people who were ostracised for being closely associated with death such as butchers, undertakers, executioners etc.
    • Naturally is in opposition with Nyotengu since tengu are born from "people of hindrances" who decided to hid in the mountains, while Okina is one who hid behind buddhas and being a god of hindrances also means warding off tengu.
  • They say that no one has seen, heard or spoken about her true form. The truth is that she doesn't have a "true form" so to speak. She is just a mangled mess of different aspects related to one entity.
  • As a god, she is as classical as they get, being fearsome forwards to those who oppose her and reliable for her allies. She definitely has traits of Jerkass God, like when she messed around with Sumireko Usami's Real World self and Dream World self. Though as a "secret god", she doesn't really want to stay hidden. She wants others to acknowledge her existence while leaving a certain mystery with her.
  • Is still looking for potentials replacements for her two Backup Dancers. Why she wants to replace Satono and Mai, no one knows, but she isn't necessarily in a rush to replace them, if she even really wants to replace them.
  • Most likely doesn't work for Monsters, Inc.. Her back doors are just back doors. She also most likely has nothing to do with the Anywhere Door.
