Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those charactersโ€™ importance to the Pantheonโ€™s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their seriesโ€™ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that charactersโ€™ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a characterโ€™s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the websiteโ€™s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokรฉmon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokรฉmon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokรฉmon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokรฉmon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Sorry for looking at suggestions. But I think I would love to find tropes that could fit some Genpei War figures. Like Minamoto no Yoshitsune or even Tomoe Gozen. I don't mean just their Fate-verse counterparts, though, they have been in a lot of medias like Genji series, Genpei Toumaden, and even Warriors Orochi for Yoshitsune (honestly, if Yoshitsune gets in, it would be a HE, not Ushiwakamaru of FGO).

Any ideas? Benkei is gettin' lonely.

Also I've been playing Total War: Shogun 2. I might be able to insert some tidbits to the Gods here in regards of how their units behave (like Date liking infantry and combat, so it gets translated to Masamune. Coincidentally, his Basara self fit right in.)

EDIT: Also Napolรฉon Bonaparte has been announced as a Servant in FGO. Well, I'm surprised that we didn't even have Napoleon himself within this Pantheon all day long... and was glad he didn't ascend as The Napoleon, because apparently, historically he ain't a shorty.

Where's Napoleon again, if he's even here? I meant to add him as Kuvira's enemy.

I'm starting rework on the Kanto Starters.

Kazuya, God of Settling On One Of The Multiple Endings (The Hero, The First Hero, First Champion, Sho, Futsuo, Adam)

  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His COMP
  • Theme Song: Ruins
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Demon Tamer, Badass Normal, Ambadassador, Destroying All His Opposition To Save The World, Heroes Prefer Swords But Uses Guns Too, Hurting Hero, Terrible Singer, Forced To Kill His Friends, Living Legend, Adapting Really Quickly, Zero Magic Potential, One-Man Army, Killed In An Assassination Then Made To Look Like A Cave-In
  • Domain(s): Demons, Neutral
  • Heralds: Pascal (his pet dog/Cerberus), the Heroinenote
  • Allies: Stephen, Mido (as his former herald), Aleph, Flynn, Naoki Kashima/The Demi-Fiend, Kazuya Minegishi, Hibiki Kuze, Raidou Kuzunoha, Isabeau, Burroughs
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: the Imperium of Man
  • Rivals:
  • Enemies: YHVH, Lucifer, The White, Chiaki Hayasaka, Isamu Nitta and Hikawa, the Divine Powers, Chakravartin, The Administrators, Mem Aleph, Malthael, Castlevania!Satan
  • Respected by/Respects:
  • Pities: Erik Lensherr/Magneto
  • Opposed by/Opposes:
  • Conflicting Opinion: Dagda and Nanashi
  • The thing about a game with multiple endings is that if it gets a sequel, one of the endings (or none of them) has to become canon. In the search for a candidate, Stephen immediately nominated the first of his Messiahs, simply known as the Hero, but assigned the name Kazuya for easy calling. And bringing him over was simple since he was already in the Pantheon as Mido's herald (for whatever reason).
  • As a present for his ascension, Stephen upgraded his COMP one last time: he no longer needs to keep collecting Magnetite to sustain demons he summons, though he does still dismiss them when he's not fighting, and keeps some around for bribing demons with. This is on top of being able to summon up to five demons at once (as opposed to the Demi-Fiend's, Flynn's, Isabeau's, and Nanashi's three).
  • Never knew his father, who had left him before he was able to tell what was going on around him. That is why he doesnโ€™t really know what having a father is like and his longing for a father figure is unusually strong. Presumably, this is related to his concern about demons. Since he had very few opportunities to interact with his father, it can be said that this resulted in his interest in the power of demons, in other words, the power associated with a father.
  • Having lost his own to a demon who impersonated her when he got home, Kazuya has a soft spot for those who lost their mothers (unless of course it was of their own conscious doing).
  • Apparently, there was an old story (now dead) called 20XX that talks about what happens after Kazuya sided with Law.
  • While without any means of using magic, Kazuya can get around this by sword fusion, and thanks to the Diamond Realm DLC, he's inhereited a few abilities (though still Physical) such as Lightspeed Slash, Mist Rush, Charge, and Morale Boost, a resistance to physical and gun attacks, and an invulnerability to Light and Dark attacks.
  • Probably due to how he was forced to be omnicidal in his fight for Neutrality, Kazuya isn't as immediately opposing of Dagda. After everything he's been through, removing all divinities and restarting humanity anew has its appeal. That said, now that he's no longer alone in the fight for humanity, he's not ready to have the slate wiped clean right now.
  • Wary of all angelic deities along with Malthael and Castlevania!Satan because they remind him of his efforts to rebuild the world into a Neutral one ruined by Law, and the Mutants and Gaeans who helped him ostracized and kicked down into Makai. There's also the fact that Pascal/Cerberus and Madam, who carried on what was left of his legacy in Valhalla, got killed and destroyed by Abaddon after he was deceived by the Archangels that he would be restored to Angelhood. Thankfully, the weak Mutants who aren't able to defend themselves were taken in and protected by Lucifer in Makai.
    • Speaking of Mutants, he sort of understands why Magneto does what he does for mutantkind.
  • As for the God-Emperor of Mankind and his Imperium, to say he's horrified with what it's become in order to survive the Chaos Gods, Necrons, Orks, and all the rest would be an understatement. As a result, he finds it difficult to work with them.
  • Wants to remind folks not to take the bullet for a "demon tamer" who has time to summon a demon who can take the hit for them. He doesn't want a repeat of the Law Hero's Senseless Sacrifice.
  • Doesn't like the Demi-Fiend's former friends and Hikawa, finding all their Reasons repulsive. Chiaki in particular he feels is actually worse than the Chaos Hero. While the weak dying out was just a side-effect of his goal, the weak being exterminated is her goal.

  • Herald: The Second Dream/"Daniel" (his successor), Matthew (his companion), Lucien (his Librarian), Mervyn Pumpkinhead (his Plucky Comic Relief), Nuala (his housekeeper)
  • Followers: Anyone who in any way deals with dreams or calls themselves "the sandman" in reference to Dream. His current aspect's grandfather, Hawkman, is one of these; he's very proud of his grandson and goes through the motions to humor him. Others include Sanderson ManSnoozy, Lukoje, Ro'kenhronteys, and Jim Fullington.
  • Allies: William Shakespeare (as he's was involved in his career), Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson, all deities in his House (except those under Enemies), Princess Luna
  • Rivals:
  • Enemies: Freddy Kreuger, Atropos, Ruvik, Pitch Black, the Anti-Monitor, Zamasu, Nekron, Lord Fuse
  • Special Relationship: All of his siblings (Death, Destiny, Destruction, Desire, Delirium, Despair [non-ascended so far]), The Presence
  • The one to whom, ultimately, even gods belong. It is rumored that, in the same way that a coin is never one-sided, He also holds domain over physical reality as well. Makes sense, since pretty much anything created in the real world must have sprung from an idea, and, well, he's pretty much the personification of ideas. He is also the younger brother of Death and arguably defers to her in situations.
  • It is because of Dream that the Pantheon exists at all; He or some aspect or precursor of Him formed it in the beginning of imagination. Unlike the others in the Main House, Dream very rarely makes a production of getting involved or physically exercising His power. This has lead to many would-be usurpers underestimating Him.
    • However, with the new regulations, Dream had to move to a new house. Additionally, during this move, it's been revealed that Morpheus, the Dream ascended here, had "died" during the events of his story and already has a replacement. For purposes of convenience, that Dream, also known as Daniel (though he would deny that being his name), serves as his herald in the event the "first" Dream Morpheus is needed elsewhere.
    • It is rather confusing, though, as both Dreams have the memories of the other given who they are, so don't be surprised if the First Dream does things that's unlikely for him but not for the Second.
  • Very nearly every deity has spoken to Dream within hours of ascension into the ranks of godhood. It is believed that He assigns initial positions to new gods, sometimes through a sort of interview, sometimes just through a chat, though as of late a lot more methods have become available, such as the Court of the Gods, although Dream is always involved at some level.
  • Dream is a powerful being with near-limitless power, but he has three critical weaknesses (as Morpheus, at least): his relationships will never end well, a certain Summoning Ritual can capture him during moments of intense weakness, and he can be killed outright by spoilers. "Daniel" doesn't have the first weakness, though.
  • Despite his Progenitor status, due to matters far beyond mortal comprehension, Dream still owes his position to Gygax and Arneson, as it is they who created the concept of godhood here. Don't think about this too much.
    • It is arguable that Gygax and Arneson created the human concept of godhood, and that Dream predates this.
  • With his new official residence in the sub-House of Dreams, he's become acquainted with its residents. Mainly, he's become enemies with nightmare-related deities such as Freddy Krueger, Atropos and Ruvik (though the last is more of a crafter of Mental Worlds) and allies with the rest, notably Haruto Tsukishiro, NiGHTS, Ysera, SCP-990, and Sandy.
    • Dream accepts Darkrai as who he is thus earning his friendship as well as his partner Princess Luna, although she have some trust issues with Dream.
    • He sympathizes with Soldier #25954, Douglas Quaid and the Wind Fish for their unfortunate situations, in which luckily they do not blame Dream for their problems.
    • He has conflicting opinions on Miyuki-chan and Madotsuki.
      • He thinks Miyuki should accept her dreams as representations of her innermost desires and is disappointed that she is actively denying them. He's interested in the fact that the Investigation Team has a low-priority mission in nudging her to get help on this, though they don't do interventions against a person's will, but they think that it's only a matter of time given how she teleports around.
      • As for Madotsuki, she refuses to wake up from her dreams, ones which even puts Dream off due to their horrifying nature.
  • Eneru once tried to usurp Dream of his position becuase he was peeved that he was not a top God in the Pantheon, which ended as well as you'd expect from an Intermediate God. That said, he's since began to bide his time by rounding up other deities to help him.
  • Despite being friendly with his brother Destruction, destroyers are not his best friends. And there are a lot who wish to end Dream forever.
    • The Anti-Monitor thinks killing him is one step to killing the entire Pantheon, and Zamasu also agrees with him for once, thinking that without Dream, humans will cease to lose dreams and sleep, thus dying for his purposes. Nekron wants destruction to all, and thinks killing Dream is a first step. This earned Dream's ire greatly.
    • Lord Fuse also fears Dream as much as he fears Gygax and Arneson, as ideas are born from imagination, which is Fuse's weakness.

I don't think the Diamonds should ascend. Especially because the tropes suggested are already taken.

Besides, Ragyo Kiryuin White Diamond still hasn't made an appearance, it's too soon to ascend either Blue or Yellow.

  • Uneasy Relationship: Dokuro Mitsukai

  • Not that many manage to find the Pantheon on their own, but it's often a good sign for anyone who wants to ascend. Star and Marco ended up in the Pantheon on accident while exploring different dimensions. Liking what she saw, she met many deities there before applying to become one herself. Sailor Moon saw to it that she was ascended quickly afterwards. The occasion was met with Star giving hugs to every good-aligned deity in the Pantheon.
    • Afterwards, she and Marco visited various new worlds discovered in the Pantheon. The adventures ware too numerous to count and many of them involved cleaning up the messes she started. Nevertheless, her ascension was seen as a positive development.
  • Her ascension was met with great jubilation from the Magical Girl Sisterhood, who quickly added her to their ranks. Her power is great, but she had much to learn before using her powers to the fullest. Tuxedo Mask saw to it to see if he could help her use her abilities.
    • Ichigo has enjoyed her company, even though Star can be a bit energetic even to her tastes. The one thing they do have in common? Kicking butt and looking super cute while they do it.
    • Given theher massive reserves of magical power she wields, she agreed to give Madoka a bit of a jumpstart in the hopes of bringing her powers back. Unfortunately, it only burned down the surrounding area. So Star decided to try the next best thing: talk to Homura. She understood her insistence to protect someone she loves and argued that bring her powers back is the best interest of both. Homura was shocked at her directness, but ultimately declined. It is unlikely that they will have this conversation again, as Homura proclaimed she will not be so welcoming the next time they meet.
  • May well be the one who fulfilled the 'warrior' part of Magical Girl Warrior more than any other Magical Girl in the Pantheon. Anyone who thinks that taking her wand from her would leave her helpless will be in for a rude awakening as Star will simply beat you to a pulp with her bare hands, and that's when she doesn't have any weapons with her. Haruto Soma even invites her to some sparring rounds. He has been impressed with her skills so far.
  • The main reason for her ascension is the nature of her powers. Whenever she does use her wand, it spouts out cute things with destructive force. It can be an oxymoron for many. It should be noted that despite her massive potential magical power, she isn't that good at magic. At all. It is hoped that she can at least learn in the Pantheon where she is less likely to set the entire place ablaze.
  • While Marco is officially her herald in the Pantheon, he also plays the role as her bodyguard. Some call that questionable given how capable she is even [i]without[/i] her wand, but Star wouldn't have it any other way. The couple has been pestered with questions of whether the two will hit it off. Both insist on figuring that out on their own pace.
    • Dokuro keeps insisting that Marco is only sticking around because he is a pervert and has made it her mission to prove it to her. Star appreciates the concern, but trusts Marco well enough to stay by his side. She knows how Dokura handles her protector Sakura and does not want to see her ward get beaten to a bloody pulp.
    • Has decided to extend her work to others who have been persecuted as of late such as faunus such as Blake and subraces such as Makoto. Both were happy to see the Blood Knight be more considerate of who she punches.
  • Is naturally opposed to the House of Monsters in general. She has had the most battles with the organization SHOCKER. The group was one of the few groups who wanted Ludo to ascend. While their monster weren't impressive, they are a tenacious bunch who never back down to adversity.
    • Her fights with monsters aren't the only reason those in that house do not like her. Her Human Alien race has fought monsters over the generations. Some of them accuse her of being prejudiced against their kind. Star responded by trying to move away from that aspect of her traditions and appeals to more good-aligned monsters.
  • Has a bit of a rivalry with Airy. While the fairy looks just as cute, she is far more sinister on the inside, more than willing to destroy all in her wake. Star's arrival was a response from the GUAG in order to give those who are cute and good a place in the Pantheon.
  • Her show may look pristine, but it hides the fact that it is home to one of the most vile villains in the Multiverse. Many of them declare their allegiance to Zero, a Kirby foe.

  • It was supposed to be a big moment for Ludo. Rumor had it that Melkor wanted to ascend someone from his world in response to Star's ascension. Ludo saw himself as the prime candidate, given that he has had the most experience taking her on. Sure he has failed to steal the wand multiple times, but he figured that if many of the villains in the Pantheon failed, they could at least understand his plight. Once he made his seat in the Court of the Guards, his smile disappeared when he he came face to face with the man he employed early on. It turned out that Melkor revived Toffee to hand him a spot in the Pantheon. The only reason Ludo was invited was whether he would accept the position of his herald. Ludo refused such a humiliating position and was subsequently kicked out of the Pantheon. Despite not showing any emotion during the confrontation, everyone figured it was a satisfying experience for him.
    • While he healing factor isn't up to snuff in his heyday, he remains an extremely dangerous foe for people, especially magical users as he can simply drain all of their magic. He also proved to be a master manipulator, fooling practically everyone to get his body back. It was only the unexpected intervention of Star that he was defeated.
  • His inclusion adds a dangerous strategist into Melkor's fold. Toffee has ample experience manipulating events to his favor and is willing to do the same for the GUAE. He stated he has no plans to take over the role for himself. To him, the war between good and evil is more of an inconvenience than anything. He is satisfied with his current position as long as he gets his revenge on Star and her mom. With that said, Melkor keeps an eye on him in case the reptile is interested in draining his own magic.
    • Is in good company with the likes of Littlefinger and Revolver Ocelot. He was a bit perturbed that those two also ended up defeated by the unlikely exposure by their enemies. Toffee is willing to help each other to form more foolproof plans.
  • Starscream was impressed with Toffee's takeover of the Forces of Evil and offered to work together to earn a place in the GUAE Mastermind division. It didn't last long, as they both accused the other of betraying each other to get a position for themselves. Melkor swiftly denied both of their entrances in order to break up the alliance.
  • The Magical Girl Sisterhood was well informed of his exploits from Star and was put on high alert upon his ascension. Toffee has a lot of experience in battling and defeating Magical Girls such as Star's mom.
  • Had a great deal of success in corrupting Star's wand to her benefit, nearly destroying it in the process. While the wand managed to restore itself, he has not shelved such plans yet. After all, there are other more successful ways to do so. Many were worried when he was spotted meeting Dark Samus. If he intended to use Phazon to corrupt magic in general, many wizards would be in danger.
  • Orochi may not completely align with Toffee's manneringss, but he is proud to have another Repugnant Reptile deity in the Pantheon. Toffee pays lip service to the serpent God as to appease him.
  • Even among his own piers, he is seen as the most frightening villain in his own world. Kirby foe Zero was suspected of aiding Toffee in restoring the reptile to his former glory. As such Toffee returns the favor in helping him plan ways to get its revenge on Kirby and friends.
  • No one can truly trust Felix when it comes to being a reliable friend, but that is one trait Toffee has in common with Felix. Felix claimed Toffee was a follower of his, an accusation Toffee has denied. Whether it is true or not, there is no denying that Toffee got come help from the space marine.
  • One of the most unusual oppositions to his ascension came from Lord Hater... or more specifically Commander Peepers who stated that his ascension would further reduce trust among villains in the Pantheon. The ascension happened anyways and Toffee stated he has no qualms over it. But as with many things, his wrath is more subtle. Shortly afterwards, the villainous duo found many of their minions beaten up a pulp. The two quickly claimed Toffee was responsible. The two factions have been at each others' throats ever since.

Update on Gary. Any more bully victims or anyone who would hate him?

Gary Smith, God of Villainy Behind the Scenes (Gary Jack Smith)

  • "Allies": Eliza and Neil Reagan, Biff Tannen, Libby Chessler, Masato Kusaka
  • Enemies: Jimmy Hopkins, Hinagiku Katsura, Ferris Bueller, Zack Morris, Flash Thompson, Yugi Muto and Yami Yugi, Makoto Itou, The Kamen Rider Club
  • Respects: Nazis (Yeah)
  • Gary at first seemed like a particular quirky loner, smart but not well regarded by other students and that's why Jimmy Hopkins befriended him on the first day. Turns out Gary was nothing but trouble when he double crossed Jimmy to fight the biggest student in the school and then plotted to take over the school. Ultimately he failed and in a final confrontation with Jimmy he was beaten and later expelled. Gary Smith is notable for being an actual sociopath in a school were most students are already problematic.
  • His ascension, of course, was him doing another of his manipulative schemes by tricking a poor student in the House of School into giving up their temple and so he took it for himself. Gary seemed awfully familiar with the pantheon and so tried to enter by any means, but not long after stealing a temple he stumbled upon his good old friend Jimmy, who proceed to question what was he doing here and after a series of insults directed at Jimmy, Gary was forced to run away after realizing that Jimmy wasn't the only Bully Hunter around. He did manage to stay after convincing some deities in the House of Villains to arrange a place for him, though most members of the House don't think too highly of him.
  • Gary can be often seen around the House of School, usually up to no good and taking advantage of other unsuspecting students. In the past he used to show up frequently until Jimmy caught up to him and promptly kicked him out but Gary used his wits and bribed the pantheon authorities into letting him in. He also gained some help from Biff Tannen and the Reagan twins after he convinved them that they could make a partnership and make the life of those who they hate insufferable. Of course, this is Gary Smith we are talking about, he is likely to doublecross them as he did with Jimmy in the past.
  • Unfortunately for Gary, Jimmy is the only Bully Hunter around even if he holds domain over the title. He made a lot of friends in the pantheon that like him, punish anyone who abuse or bully others, and that screamed bad news for Gary. However, he would not stand for that and devised a plan to humiliate all those friends he got, the problem was that many of those were way beyond his reach and wouldn't fall for his schemes, like the Student Council President Hinagiku Katsura, the Kamen Rider Club and even the infamous Makoto Itou, could be very dangerous targets to tackle. At least he has plans for some of them
  • He can be considered like a dark twist to a Highschool Hustler, his manipulation skills are so good that he managed to convince many students and faculty of his school to turn against Jimmy, at least momentarily. Hopkins came to the conclusion that only a psychopath would be capable of pulling this feat and in this context, he was right. But then other of this type, like Zack Morris and Ferris Bueller, are good natured people and find Gary to be a deplorable being.
  • Heard of Flash Thompson and how he was a bully in the past, but was dissapointed that he outgrew those habits overtime, saying he became weak because of it. Of course, Gary ignored that Flash became a superhero and almost got beaten up because of this but thankfully Flash decided to let him go since he wasn't worth his time.
  • Heard of the infamous Kamen Rider Kaixa and thought that he would be a pretty useful ally for him, so he approached and using the knowledge that Masato hates monsters with a passion, convinced him to become allies so they would both exterminate them from the face of the Pantheon. Many were horrified to learn that he did indeed convinced Kusaka to join him and he plans to do something with him to get back at Jimmy.

[tup] for Star, Toffee and Gary.

@ Divine Flame: I'm pretty sure I gave Mitsuki an [tup], already.
@ Nightelf: Much like SCP-990 and Sandy, Haruto would suspect Dream to be connected to Eve in some manner, perhaps even being the god Eve wanted to exact revenge on. Whatever relationship Dream and Eve would have, Dream keeps quiet on the matter.
@ Clovis: Given their common attribute, Eru Iluvatar, Aslan and the Love that Moves the Stars would be massively disappointed in the C'tan for only caring about they eat (basically depraved representations of Gluttony), and not even trying to improve themselves. Since their works are often used to explore the human condition, the benevolent creators would know that sentient beings of all shapes and sizes are too emotionally and psychologically complex to be tied to a single goal. Since stars are sentient beings in Narnia, Aslan's disappointment would be doubled. For obvious reasons, the Heroic Protectors of Family are their enemies.
Is Hero with an F in Good taken? If not, I nominate the Seven Heavenly Virtues. They are supposed to be the noblest and most powerful angels in Heaven, tasked with searching for a suitable candidate to be the Messiah, but their attempts to train their candidates often lead to disaster. Also, they fail to live up to their designated Virtues, adding up to the show's hilarity.
