Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For PokĂ©mon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the PokĂ©mon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the PokĂ©mon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a PokĂ©mon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

You know, I completely forgot to say to the Nana profile which is ascended by now that she would be that hapless maiden that Svengali is looking for. I don't know if she's a singer but if so, that's perfect for him.

[up][up], I had them in mind, as well Dipper and Mabel. I think Sherlock Holmes has ascended? I'm throwing around the idea of Batman investigating them, but I just want to make sure that all my bases are covered.

Still trying to find things to add to Cera, especially non-Land Before Time characters for her enemies and allies. While I'm at it, I'm having a hard time finding non-Don Bluth characters for allies and enemies for Mrs. Brisby and Chanticleer, too, so suggestions for those would be helpful as well.

Cera, The Goddess who Huffs Haughtily (Sweet but Strong-Willed Cera)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/8d3c03e1f79377f2a13e3d310cbd8a12.jpg
  • House of Pride
  • Demigoddess
  • Theme: If We Hold On Together.
  • Alignment: Chaotic Good
  • Symbol: A haughty "Hmph!"
  • Portfolio: Headbutting Heroes, Fantastic Racism, Deadpan Snarker, Welcome Back, Traitor, Kick the Dog, Fighting the Lancer, Can't Live with Them, Can't Live Without Them, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Not So Above It All, Break the Haughty, Vitriolic Best Buds, Pet the Dog, Jerkass with a Heart of Gold
  • Domain: Redemption, Kindness, Ambiguity, Pride
  • Superior: Don Bluth
  • Allies: Littlefoot, Chomper, Ducky
  • Enemies: Sharptooth, Logs over Ravines
  • Cera was one of many candidates for the position in the pantheon, necessitating a 'huff off'. Cera won effortlessly thanks to her mastery of all forms and contexts of the 'Hmph', and the fact that she had plenty of time to hone her skills.
  • She accidentally ended up ruining Stephen Universe's flip flops by trying them on too close to a lava pool. After seeing his upset reaction and in a panic, she accused him of being too attached to them and stormed off in silence. Secretly, however, she spent two days making new ones and anonymously left them at the foot of his temple.
  • Despite constantly mocking Littlefoot for the questionable dignity of his position in the pantheon, she's also fiercely protective of him and has shouted down gods of a much higher position than her when they thought they could get away with picking on her longtime friend.
  • Unlike Littlefoot and Chomper, Cera has no worries about encouraging Ducky to go on her own adventures when she wants to and take a few risks meeting new gods and seeing new places within the pantheon without an escort. Granted, that attitude has caused Ducky to get kidnapped a few times after overhearing some villainous plans, but still.
  • While most of her friends are pacifists and try to avoid violence when they can, she has a weakness for fighting, and occasionally takes on an active combat duty in the Pantheon/GUAG.
  • She's a relentless troll to her friend Chomper, and loves to take advantage of the little sharptooth's innocent gullibility by making him think other gods in the pantheon are out to get him. However, she gets infuriated if anyone else tries to do this to him.
  • Unlike her friends, Cera isn't one to try to stay out of Sharptooth's way. Sometimes she'll tag along with a higher ranking god who's visiting the House of Ancient Beasts specifically so she can safely insult him right to his face. She especially loves to remind him that she was the one who gave the final push needed to drop a bolder on his head. More than once she's needed her friends to bail her out when her cockiness has nearly gotten her eaten.
  • No relation to Michael Cera... that you're allowed to know about.

[up] Craft was going to get restructured.

In any case, Kanako Ohno, Bob Ross, Ghost, Henry Selick, Mr. New Vegas, and Professors Kabuto & Saotome have just been deleted. I don't know when I'll get to actually making the list of subhouses (my schedule for doing stuff around here is very inconsistent). And I might need to delete another profile or two from Craft before doing so (I think Billy Mays and Don Bluth are prone to get deleted due to their small profiles).

I might have to move some of the profiles into Reworking Gods if possible (I know n3xus said he could rework Osamu Teuka at some point and I think Patrick said he'll make Stan Lee the sole holder of Comic Books). That said, I think some of the profiles in that page may have to be deleted if no one is going to rework some of them.

[up] I will clean it up in a moment.

Well i don't know what else to add, so consider this profile pretty much done.

Zul'jin, God of Surviving through the last Hitpoint (Warlord of the Amani, Chieftain of the Amani, Warlord of Zul'Aman)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zuljin_7.jpg
Zul'jin after losing his arm
  • Potential House: Gameplay
  • Lesser God (Arguably Intermediate or Greater God when harnessing the power of the Loa or using Taz'Dingo)
  • Symbol: The Amani empire emblem and his throwing axes
  • Theme Song: Zul'jin's theme
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  • Portfolio: An Axe To Grind, Anti-Villain, Badass Grandpa, Eye Scream, Final-Exam Boss, Handicapped Badass, Life-or-Limb Decision, Scarf of Asskicking, Well-Intentioned Extremist, The Berserker, Forest Troll, Attack! Attack! Attack!, Critical Status Buff, Heal Thyself, What the Hell Is That Accent?.
  • Domains: Trolls, Axes, Limbs, Berserker
  • Allies: The Fortress Dwarves
  • Rivals: Draven, Nightwolf, Tryndamere, Troll Warlord
  • Enemies: All ascended Elves, Thrall, Vol'jin, Zeratul
  • Good Counterpart: Usalia
  • Leader of the Amani trolls, Zul'jin has been a revered figure among his kind for leading the war against the elves of Quel'thalas. His tribe used to belong to the horde during the second war, but didn't end up on the best of terms with them after they inducted the Blood Elves to their ranks, an act that greatly enraged Zul'jin. Now having ascended to the pantheon after his mortal death, Zul'jin plans to have his revenge on both the elves and the horde.
  • Shortly after ascending, Zul'jin underwent a radical change of appearance. Now he has his arm back and is able to fight like in the old days. Many believe that his arrival to the nexus might have been the reason why he went back to normal. In addition, he seemed to have notice that beforehand, he has suddenly grown a taste in destroying the world with dark Loa magic. Contrary to what others believe, Zul'jin was ashamed at that, he just wanted the Amani Trolls to survive and have a place in the world. For that, he now just concerns himself with his people or anyone that dares disturb them and limits his Loa magic to render himself unable to die, the reason why he ascended in the first place, and activated with the sacred words of Trolls:
    TAAAAAAZ-DINGO!
  • Given past experiences, Zul'jin despises elves of all kinds given how he was at war for years with the High Elves, not to mention he ended up losing an arm and an eye to them. The pantheon has taken the time to warn all ascended elves of the potential wrath that Zul'jin might inflict upon them.
  • Originally he wanted to ascend for the title of Trolls, but was dissapointed to find that the spot was already taken and by none other than a weakling such as Darkspear troll. Needless to say, neither Vol'jin nor Zul'jin can't stand each other and there have been times where both were about to fight. He is not even impressed about how Vol'jin became the Warchief of the Horde and has long considered the horde to be a waste of time.
  • The Amani Warlord used to respect the old Warchief Orgrimm Doomhammer and even thought that he would see him here as the God of Orcs. He was dissapointed to find Thrall instead, who considers him an unworthy successor to Orgrimm.
Zul'jin: You may carry his hammer, but you be no Doomhammer, boy!
  • Zul'jin has found about another creature who bears some similarities to him and he was surprised when it turned out to be Usalia. Both are heavily motivated by their people and both also have access to powers that allow them to go berserk. However, Usalia managed to not succumb to her inner darkness and managed to rebuild her empire whereas Zul'jin underwent a darker path and she pities the Troll for that. Zul'jin doesn't really care about her and a couple of times he did attack her just to fend her off, but he has kept his distance to her because he is wary of her demonic powers.
  • His Weapon Of Choice are a pair of throwing axes and he would not hesitate to throw at anyone who dares to look him funny. He also found a couple of deities who uses similar weapons like Draven or Nighwolf, which has sparked some interest in him.
  • Surprisingly, Zul'jin gets along with the fortress dwarves given that they also hate elves. In fact, they often allow him to slaughter all the elves that try to bother them.
  • Zul'jin once came to blows witht he barbarian warrior Tryndamere after an argument and the fight proved to be a brutal one given that neither the troll not the barbarian backed out and kept fighting despites the odds. Eventually they called out the fight but have declared that they will meet again.
  • Zul'jin was curious to meet other types of Trolls that could be found in the pantheon (besides the darkspear trolls, to him they don't deserve any mention). He was confused by Totoro given how peaceful he was for a Troll and he didn't have the best start with Troll Warlord and actually both came to blows.
  • He can't stand the presence of Zeratul, stating the he stole the look from him. Zeratul in turn said that the attire looks better on him rather than Zul'jin, which the latter doesn't like one bit.
  • "Make way for da bad guy!" "You wanna stay here? You stay FOREVER! I gonna bury you here."

Got 2 [tup]s on Strangetown so far.

Current [tup]s: 2 (Clovis, Spikes)

Current Ascension Date: Thursday, February 16th

Strangetown, the Quirky Town of the Gods

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/strangetown.jpg
  • House: Dominions (Populated Areas)
  • Theme Music: Strange Day, Strange Night
  • A sparsely populated desert town with particularly colorful residents. It is known to attract both nightmare fetishists and conspiracy theorists alike, along with other weirdness.
  • Symbol: A classical UFO surrounded by a green glow
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  • Portfolio: Alien Abduction hotspot, frequent instances of Anal Probing, Face Full of Alien Wing-Wong and subsequent Mister Seahorse, an unusally high occurence of Sanity Slippage among residents and visitors, Quirky Town, Weirdness Magnet
  • Domains: Aliens, Conspiracy Theories, Deserts
  • Sacred to: Dana Scully and Fox Mulder, Charles Victor Szasz AKA The Question, Agents K and J, Waluigi, possibly Joel, many alien deities, nightmare fetishists and conspiracy theorists in general
  • Unholy to: Lavernius Tucker, Link
  • There is so much that can be said about Strangetown that it is often difficult to summarize briefly. It has many colorful residents with stories involving alien abduction, human-alien romance, science experiments, supposed serial killing, and missing persons. There is also a strange phenomenon surrounding the Town Square in which residents and visitors randomly become "loopy", going on rampages and leaving bright blue "ick piles" in their wake. Many suspect that this is because the hotel is powered by a nuclear furnace in the basement and nuclear fuel rods can just be found lying around.
  • The people of Strangetown are fairly glad that their town has ascended. It's caused a significant boom and more and more deities are coming to stay in the hotel or otherwise just visit.
  • Link is among the deities who visited Strangetown and came to regret it. While staying in Town Square, Link ended up catching the "loopy." He went on a violent rampage, body slamming many innocent bystanders before he could be restrained. This became what is now known as the Serial Body Slamming. Link doesn't like to talk about it, and insists on never coming back.
  • Waluigi is a different story entirely. We he first made his mark on Strangetown, people thought for certain that he had gone loopy. On the contrary, however, Waluigi was acting completely on his own volition. He ushered in what would infamously go down in Strangetown history as the Twerkpocalypse. He unleashed chaos on the town, running around with a stereo attached to his head blasting BEES at full volume as he spread infectious twerking across the land. Though he has been stopped for now, he vows to one day return and bring with him a second Twerkpocalypse on a much more massive scale.
  • Many deities suspect that Joel might have to do with these incidents. So far he has offered no comment on the matter, but he has definitely not denied it either.
  • The Grox can occasionally be seen performing geographical and biological surveys of the area from their ships. They seem to have made enemies out of the Pollination Technicians when one attempted to impregnate a male Grox. Of course the attempted failed miserably due to the toxicity of their species, but they never forgive and never forget.
  • Tucker is afraid to go to Strangetown because of how often males are abducted and returned pregnant. It happened to him once. Never again!
  • Dana Scully, Fox Mulder, Agent K, and Agent J keep a watchful eye on Strangetown due to all the often alien-involved weirdness that surrounds the town. The Question contributes to many conspiracy theories involving the area.

I only got 1[tup] for Mandark.

Susan "Mandark" Astronomanov, God of Annoying Laughs (Mr. Astronomanov, Executive Mandark, Overlord Mandark, Braindark)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mandark_324252_2465.jpg
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His round, black hair and his laughter.
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio: Arch-Enemy of Dexter, Evil Genius, Wants Dee Dee's affection, Lean and Mean, Affably Evil, Embarrassing First Name
  • Domains: Genius, Annoying, Laughter
  • Allies: Dr. Doom
  • Rivals: Dexter, Sniper, Mojo Jojo
  • Enemies: Cartman
  • "Love": Dee Dee
  • Odd Friendship: Michelangelo, Ned Flanders
  • Though some people may recognize Mandark for his genius and rivalry of another genius Dexter, many recognize him for his "iconic" laughter. HA HA HA! HA HA HA HA HA!
  • Upon his arrival, he tried to thwart his rival Dexter by being the better student, much like their first introduction which started their rivalry. Their intellects and technological prowess are essential equal.
  • People at first thought that Kardel Sharpeye has the most annoying laugh in the Pantheon, only to realize and found out that Mandark was even worse. At least you can shut Sniper up, but there's not much many would do to shut Mandark up. In fact, he spent an entire day laughing.
  • He managed to get along with the pious Ned Flanders due to both of them growing up with a hippie family and hated it.
    • Though he doesn't appreciate Cartman for his hatred toward hippies, as he just doesn't like the lifestyle of that life and is a man of science.
  • He practically fawns over for Dee Dee, to the point that he'll call off any rivalry and work together with Dexter if she is threatened. Of course, her destructive tendency is a nuisance with the relationship, if Dee Dee even likes him at all.
  • He manage to make an alliance with Viktor Doom because of their technological genius and burning hatred for their rivals. The two have practically vowed that one day that both Dee and Susan would be their's.
    • He also manage to ally himself with Vlad Masters since they are obsess with one woman and would do anything to do claim her. Though Mandark found a ghost to be very illogical in the realm of science.
  • Mandark views Mojo Jojo has another archrival in terms of both intellect and villainy, with Mandark looking at the monkey with laughter due to Dexter owning a monkey named Monkey.
    • Mandark also owns a duck named Ducky, who is secretly a supervillain and adversary of Monkey, Quackor.
  • Mandark surprising befriended Michelangelo since he befriended a surfer who saved his life in a surfing competition he entered to impress Dee Dee. He allowed the Turtle to ride on his in-door surfing machine.
  • In their most antagonistic rivalry, he desire Dexter's Neurotomic Protocore for world domination. Through different time period, Mandark was a controlling executive, a knowledge-stealing Overlord, and a brain in a jar after the Overlord's defeat, and he fought against Dexter and his future selves for a battle of the future.

Ikoma and Mumei, The Divine Duo of Male Might, Female Finesse (Mumei: Hozumi)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ikoma_and_mumei.png
Mumei and Ikoma
  • Lesser Gods (Intermediate Gods as Nui and a Fused Colony)
  • Symbol: Ikoma's crystal and Tsuranuki Zutsu next to Mumei's Sawed off shotguns.
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Vampiric zombies, Super-Reflexes, Super-Strength, Having a sibling like relationship
  • Allies: Eren, Ayumu, Squigly, the School-Live crew, Saeko Busujima, Rick Grimes, Leon Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Joel and Ellie
    • Ikoma: Kisuke Urahara, Switch
    • Mumei: X-23, Morgiana, Guan Yinping
  • Opposes: Mayuri
  • Enemies: Deathstorm, Stitches, Light Yagami (especially for Ikoma), Albert Wesker, William Birkin
  • They both made their appearance after pulling a Dynamic Entry during a zombie assault on the resident zombie survivors. While the survivors themselves weren't too worried. They were impressed watching the two mow the zombies down with ease.
  • Mayuri, Wesker and Birkin has decided to pursue them as their DNA has them very intrigued. The former well... because he's just curious. The latter as they want recreate the Kabane Virus especially after Ikoma and Mumei's slaughter of their zombie army and watching them holding there own against a Tank.
  • They've expressed dislike towards Senator Armstrong Light Yagami and Chrollo Lucifier as they find disapprove of their actions. However, they did note that they latter two sounded like Biba.
  • Exclusive to Ikoma
    • So far Ikoma is trying to turn Kurumi into a Kabaneri at least until he finds a proper cure to Zombism. In order to control her zombification with moderate success. He also enlisted the help of Urahara and his expertise.
    • He's managed to befriend Switch as he too feels responsible for the death of his own younger sibling. He also helps out with Ikoma's experiments.
    • He can be considered Eren slightly saner counterpart. As they want to crush the Kabane/Titans and free humanity from their clutches. He has noted that he sounds like Takumi, his fallen friend. They have quickly formed an alliance with each other.
  • Exclusive To Mumei
    • She had impressed Saeko and as a result was asked to be the latter's sparring partner. She herself was impressed by Yinping and Morgiana's power and wanted to get stronger.
    • A few gods were mildly surprised to find out she's twelve noting that her looks and demeanor makes her seem much older. They're used to most gods looking and acting younger than their age would suggest.
    • She has joined the club of the billions of orphans in the pantheon who had lost their parents. As she lost her mom to a paranoid Kabane hater.

Shino Amakusa, The Goddess of Dirty Comedies

  • Fears: Insect gods
  • Odd Friendship with: Mio Akiyama
  • A small Taiko drum can be heard followed by a whistle in the house of Quirks intercom much to the confusion follow by this statement Pantheon divine rule NUMBER ONE the drum beat continues and matches the tempo of the whistles.
You should always carry condoms for safety!
  • Shino apparently ascended after hearing about the pantheon. She later met her fellow goddess Ayame and the two quickly hit it off. As they both share the same sense of humor. Though occasionally she'll snark at her fellow goddess to fill in the gap that Tsuda and Tanukichi since they haven't ascended yet. While the latter tend to get creeped out with the former if she tries to playfully call her out on her experience with sexual things.
  • She is actually horrified after hearing about Ayame's world. She doesn't even know how Ayame could survive as she herself constantly blurt out perverted things. Of course she sort of became a honorary member of SOX.
  • Shino has a habit of going to the house of quirks and announcing various rules in the pantheon most are rather perverted in nature though.
  • Shino is rather awkward around deer as she was once molested by one but not the reasons one would think. However, some may think that she is secretly into that.
  • She doesn't like her average sized breasts and gets rather annoyed about.
—Pantheon divine rule NUMBER TWO! NEVER TALK ABOUT BREASTS!
    • Of course after this she hear that some gods sound similar to her. She first met Emilia and sigh in relief much to her irritation. Then met Houki, Rias, Maria Cadenza Eve, Mio, Stephanie Dola, Laura a post shinobi transformed Ryobi and immediately decided to occasionally snark at them.
    • She was once caught by her fellow goddess massaging her breasts much to their embarrassment
  • She is also worried about her large posterior.
  • She once was scouted to by Maria to be an Idol Singer. She later declined for various reasons. Actually it tuned out to be just a dream.
  • It's heavily implied that more often than not she goes commando. She tends to subtly hint at the fact this seems to be her default state of dress.
  • She like Mio doesn't like blood as she and Mio panicked at Yui's papercut.
  • She also befriended fellow Ace Student Council President Hinagiku as they both hate heights and has trouble confessing with their Love Interest.
  • She doesn't like bugs even the little ones and unfortunately most of the bugs in the pantheon are huge.

Another post of V.F.D... Note that it is not done yet. It's coming along relatively well of course, but I would like some more feedback.

V.F.D., Divine Conspiracy Involving Unassuming Organizations (Volunteer Fire Department)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vfd.png
  • Rank: Collectively, for what is known about the organization, Quasideity
  • Symbol: Their insignia, which is formed from the letters; V, F, and D.
  • Alighnment: Neutral Evil, Neutral Good, or True Neutral, depending on which side of the schism the member a person is dealing with is on.
  • Portfolio: Ancient Conspiracy (As a whole), Benevolent Conspiracy (If the member is part of the so-called fire-fighting side of the schism), Dark and Troubled Past (Concerning the individual backstories of each of its members), Grey-and-Grey Morality, Mysterious Past, The Omniscient Council of Vagueness, Paranoia Fuel, Spy Speak
  • Domains: Arson (Depends on which side of the schism a member is on), Codes, General knowledge, Mysteries
  • Allies: Anyone who is willing to provide a safe place for research and knowledge
  • Enemies: Anyone who is willing to destroy all safe places for research and knowledge
  • Unknown Relationship: The Men In Black, The SCP Foundation, Keel Lorenz, V.S.S.E.
  • Heralds: The Baudelaire Orphans, Count Olaf, Lemony Snicket
  • Of the organizations known to exist, the ones that always seems to have a presence in some shape or form, yet seems to be so impotent in function, are known as Milkman Conspiracies. One such organization, made up of librarians, scholars, taxi cab drivers, waiters, or any other seemingly mundane occupation in life, is known as V.F.D., which has started to make its presence known in the Pantheon.
  • How V.F.D. came to light in the Pantheon arose from the increased appearance of phrases that shared the organization's acronym appearing in the records of the House of Knowledge. While suspicious in of itself, the alarms bells truly started to ring when a massive fire broke out and nearly burned the entire House to the ground. A melancholy man in shadows, who was using a typewriter, was initially held responsible, only for him to reveal that he had nothing to do with the fire, but did state that a certain society, divided in two due to a terrible schism, has begun to make its presence known in the Pantheon. The man then revealed, secretly, to the Main House, that the organization in question was named V.F.D...
    • Said melancholy man was Lemony Snicket, who had made it his life's work to document the depressing lives of the Baudelaire Orphans, who became involved with the organization's secrets after a terrible fire destroyed their home, and after meeting the Quagmire Triplets, who revealed to them the organization's existence in the first place.
  • At some point in V.F.D.'s history, there was a schism that the organization suffered, causing many of its members to turn on another, resulting in a World Gone Mad. While it has been confirmed that it happened while Lemony Snicket and his siblings were children, how and why the schism happened is completely unknown, even to Lemony Snicket himself.
    • The schism that V.F.D. suffered caused many of the organization's designated sanctuaries, which ranged from cafes to hotels, to be burned down by those who were on the so-called fire-starting side of the schism. As such, members of the Pantheon have been advised to be cautious. Both sides of the schism use the same unorthodox communication codes, and as such, it makes it even harder to not just tell whether or not a deity is dealing with a member of V.F.D., but whether or not that person is either a volunteer, or a deadly criminal.
  • Due to the secretive and nebulous nature of V.F.D. as a whole, the two sides of the organization are represented by the most well-known people who associated with the group. The fire-fighting side is represented by the Baudelaire Orphans and Lemony Snicket, while the fire-starting side is represented by Count Olaf. None of them have yet truly ascended to the Pantheon, though Olaf is determined to become a proper god so that he can have another chance to obtain the Baudelaire fortune at long last. The Baudelaires and Mr. Snicket on the other hand, are a bit wary about the nature of the Pantheon, though if Olaf does ascend, then the Baudelaires will be right on his trail to try to stop his schemes, and Mr. Snicket will follow in order to continue his research of the Baudelaires, and hope that this next chapter in their lives will be a bit less melancholy.
  • Overall, the schism has had drastic effects on the morality of V.F.D.'s members, as the Baudelaires can attest due to the trials they faced involving the deception present on both sides of the organization. A noble person can do something awful, like create the toxic Medusoid Mycelium fungus (Which has thankfully not been found growing anywhere in the Pantheon, yet), and a villain can do something noble, like Count Olaf using some of the last moments of his life to help the distraught and pregnant Kit Snicket to safety.
    • As such, when it comes to the Alliances, V.F.D.'s loyalties are rather muddled. While the fire-starting side has lent assistance to the GUAE, they have no loyalty to Melkor. At the same time, the fire-fighting side has lent help to the GUAG, but it is unknown if they are loyal to Cosmos. Both sides of the V.F.D. schism seem to be interested in assisting both the GUAC and the GUAL as they please, but for what purpose is unknown and they have no loyalty to Lucifer or YHVH either. It is unknown if they also desire to bolster Nekron's tactics for the GUAD, but it is possible, though why they would do so is a mystery...
  • V.F.D. is extremely secretive, even more so than the SCP Foundation, the Men In Black, SEELE, and the V.S.S.E. While those groups are enigmatic in their own right, they at least have well-defined goals (Keep reality safe from anomalies, keep aliens in check, initiate the Human Instrumentality Project, and stopping terrorist groups respectively), V.F.D.'s ultimate goal, if it even has one, is completely unknown. While the group was said to have started out to simply put out fires, V.F.D.'s activities (Which include building secret passageways, training animals for detective and transportation work, and building submarines for a start) seem to extend far beyond that, and the schism has only muddied the nature of its activities even more.
  • V.F.D.'s unknown history, as well as it's enormous, and yet ill-defined presence has put many in the Pantheon (At least, those who know about the organization) on edge. The fact that any random person could turn out to be a V.F.D. agent means that any deity's friends, followers, or any random individual from their world wandering in the Pantheon could turn out to have completely unfathomable end goals in mind, is not the most pleasant train of thought.
    • To make matters even more unnerving, V.F.D. has been indicated to have had several real-life authors and ancient societies in its membership, so carrying that train of logic to its conclusion means that the organization could potentially possess a even higher degree of influence over the ENTIRE pantheon, regardless of which side of the schism is being dealt with.
  • Due to the enigmatic nature of the organization, several gods who specialize in solving mysteries, such as Mystery Incorporated, the Pines Twins, and Batman, have been trying to uncover V.F.D.'s secrets. All of them were warned by Lemony Snicket of the treacherous world they were trying to breach, and that it was impossible to solve every mystery out there. The Baudelaires shared that sentiment, as even after everything they'd been through, they still have many questions of their own about V.F.D... Batman took this advice to heart, having been reminded of the Court of Owls, and intends to tread carefully regarding V.F.D...

I wonder if people avoid me because of the tarantula...
