Saga 1: Light of Hope

Sonic Holograph

    Sonic the Hedgehog

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sonic_the_hedgehog.png
"I'm Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog!"
Shining Sonic
Sonic in Sonic Holograph: Myth
Sacred Sonic

The supersonic speedster with a steadfast heart of gold, Sonic takes to the first rabbithole incident like duck to water and doesn't stop to slow down after that. Whether it's Eggman, an ancient evil or just a mad villain hungry for power or revenge, Sonic's unflinching resolve drives him forward down the path he believes to be right.

  • Adaptational Badass: He actually undergoes this In-Universe thanks to the events of Holograph: Myth. Yes, he is ridiculously fast and might have some minor aerokinetic abilities as stated below, but what he isn't is the Anthropomorphic Personification of the wind itself that the stories about his exploits in the School of Knights make him out to be.

  • Blow You Away: Sonic Wind is a rarely used projectile attack of his in which he swings his arm and sends a crescent of windy energy at a target. Thanks to his Super-Speed, Sonic is capable of many breezy feats and blustery attacks, using a mix of implied minor aerokinesis and the force generated from his movements. These include: The aforementioned Sonic Wind, the Sonic Wave, the Whirlwind, Blue Tornado and potentially even the Homing Attack and Boost (though these are things any speedster worth their salt in this universe can achieve one way or another).

  • Blue Is Heroic: Most of his body is covered in tiny blue quills, which form the five larger ones on his head and two on his back. When he enters his Shining Sonic form, he turns a paler shade of blue adorned with white accents and commands white-blue crystals.

  • Costume Evolution: Between Sonic Forces and the first arc of Holograph, Sonic got himself some new shoes similar in design to the SOAPs he wore in Sonic Adventure 2, even having a similar indentation for easier rail grinding.

  • Power Gives You Wings: Shining Sonic sprouts a pair of crystalline wings when about to perform the Shining Star Strike.

  • Super Mode: Wouldn't be a modern Sonic plot without one of these popping up somewhere. In particular, Holograph gives us two: Shining Sonic through a massive amount of Aura Energy, and Sacred Sonic through Anya and the sacred weapons of Gura, Kiara, and Calli. Both of these are more than powerful enough to take care of their respective final bosses.

  • Super-Speed: His signature power.

  • Time Master: Definitely something of one due to his Aura-focusing bracelet. It gets cranked up when Shining Sonic is in play.

  • You Already Changed the Past: The legend of Sir Noel and the Azure Wind Spirit is one that Temma is a big fan of, and he believed that Sonic was a reincarnation of the latter. However, it is then revealed in Holograph: Myth that the Azure Wind Spirit was a time travelling Sonic, hence this trope.

    Pekora the Rabbit

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pekora.png
"I've been waiting for an excuse to run out on that guy-peko!"

CEO of Usada Construction and a borderline mad scientist, Pekora is a girl who grew up in a lonely environment and covers up her introversion by being as loud and cocky as she can. She uses her wide range of inventions for an equally wide range of purposes: from pranks, to making life easier for herself or just to horde weapons in the event that she would ever get into a fight. You know, a rare occurrence for her.

  • Big Ego, Hidden Depths: Implied via her character bio and some of her interactions with Moona in Stardust Song. While Pekora is normally loud, brash and arrogant, she is incredibly supportive of Moona throughout their space journey and seems to really care for her.
Though she might seem obnoxious and stuck up, her attitude has more complex roots than a simple inflated ego, having ties to a lonely childhood.

  • Gadgeteer Genius: Crossed with a pinch of Mad Scientist, Pekora is an engineer of high caliber, but her inspiration is often turned towards petty inventions for her own convenience of amusement. She has a particular fondness for complex traps and elaborate pranks, but to keep herself afloat she and her assistant Moona do provide services such as home improvement and other such engineering jobs. Don't complain if she adds an ice-cube rail-gun to your fridge, though.

  • Grade-School C.E.O.: Potentially applicable due to Pekora's vague age, Usada Construction (or Usaken for short) has a giant flashy office in the middle of an otherwise modest town, tons of money and resources, powerful hoarded weapons... Yet only two employees, one of which being the aforementioned teenage CEO. The current status of her parents is unknown, as is the reason why the townsfolk let her get away with so much.

  • Hates Being Touched: Stated in her bio quite plainly.

  • Rascally Rabbit: Pekora is a big lover of pranks and tends to anger those around her due to them, her brash attitude or some kind of fault with her inventions. She's well accustomed to making people mad and subsequently making a cunning escape. Despite all that though, she does frequently come off as more of a Righteous Rabbit thanks to her key role in helping out both Sonic and Shadow during their various adventures after the initial rabbithole incident. (For her lawyers: Pekora had no involvement in said incident, that name is purely coincidental).

  • The Prankster: Just like her counterpart, Pekora has a love of practical jokes and will readily laugh at the misfortune of others if it's sufficiently slapstick. Her bio claims that she uses her Gadgeteer Genius smarts to design 'incredibly overengineered pranks', potentially venturing into Rube Goldberg Device territory.

  • Verbal Tic: As proudly displayed in her quote, Pekora has a tendency to add '-peko' as a suffix to her sentences, or alternatively make puns out of the word (eg. 'That was peklose!').

    Watame the Sheep

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/watame_the_sheep.png

A wandering bard who's friends with Princess Luna of the Candy Kingdom. She roams the country spreading songs to raise the spirits of anyone she meets, and as well as befriending Luna has formed bonds with a surprising amount of travelers not of this world.

  • Big Damn Heroes: It's actually possible for Watame to KO the Egg Maestro if the timer runs out while it only has one hitpoint remaining, evoking this trope.

  • Hard Head: Her horns are tough, sure, but Watame's got a tough skull to support those weapons of hers, notable even in a setting where smashing your face into metal robots is the most basic of attacks.

  • Sweet Sheep: Watame is very kind and generous to those she comes across, wandering oft-traveled plains or other rural areas to bring songs to those brought down by the weight of their journeys. She's also a firm friend of even the most differing of sorts, such as the petulant Luna and crude Coco.

    Princess Luna the Honeybee

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/luna_smaller.png
"Nnnaa!"

The ruling princess of the Candy Kingdom (no, not that one) and a notoriously Spoiled Brat. She's physically weak and has poor stamina due to laziness and a superiority complex, believing such exertion to be beneath her.

  • A Child Shall Lead Them: Luna is of an ambiguous age, but whether she's really a minor or not doesn't undermine the fact that she's exceptionally young to be ruling an entire kingdom by herself. Her lack of parents and overabundance of power has made her a Royal Brat, but her people still remain happy due to her simplistic problem-solving and brain-melting cuteness (in the eyes of those subjects, anyway). Her strange insistence on being a mere baby when confronted also pushes her in the direction of this trope, but it's only an act - even if it's one that a fairly large percentage of her kingdom believes.

  • Insect Queen: Luna being represented as a bee was influenced by her love of sweets, her short stature, physical weakness and of course the subject of this trope: Bees are one of the most well-known animals associated with monarchs thanks to their hive structure. Though Luna is a princess and not a queen, she is the active ruler of the Candy Kingdom thanks to the absence of any sort of parents, her only guidance comes from her faithful butler.

    Miko the Cat

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/miko_smaller.png
"This crazy rabbit's totally lost it!"

Pekora's long-time rival and proud tender of the Sakura Shrine. Despite what she might say here and there about being a pure shrine maiden, she's actually rude, crude, prone to violence when provoked and a possessor to quite the greedy streak. She and Pekora are always at each other's throats, but deep down... Miko treasures their battles, and wouldn't give her rival up for anyone.

  • Has a Type: Blondes, according to her list of likes. Doubles as a Mythology Gag to Sakura Miko, who has a documented love of blonde women.

  • Nun Too Holy: Miko is a shrine maiden, specifically a 'messenger of the gods' capable of chatting to divine entities and spirits of all types in the name of cleansing evil and blessing the unfortunate. It says all that on her job description, but in practice Miko is snarky, perverted, violent and swears like a sailor when mad. She also has a penchant for gambling, but has poor luck and often ends up in deep trouble (that she'll readily try to barter or punch her way out of).

  • Sore Loser: So bad that on her official bio, where most characters have only two likes and dislikes each, Miko is said to hate losing twice.

    Roboco

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/roboco_the_android.png
You always did like pink.

An abandoned, lonely android created by a civilization crushed by their own hubris. Roboco bears a striking resemblance to the ancient machines of Sonic's World and possesses a powerful arsenal guided by the heart of a pure maiden.

    Sora the Bear

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sora_smaller.png
"So you're the enemy, then."

Hololive's very first superstar idol, a face anyone who knows anything around her parts can recognize. Between rigorous dance and vocal training, she took up sword-fighting as part of a stage gimmick that blossomed into a geniune interest - and it's come in handy now and then. Sora acts as the guiding light for many due to her nerves of steel and commanding presence backed by a pure heart, leading some to compare her to a goddess or an angel. Sora would rather be free from those comparisons, but regardless does her best for the good of not just her fans, but everyone.

  • Idol Singer: Sora's occupation, the very first talent to ever join Hololive Productions. She embodies many of the classical ideals of what a proper female pop idol should be, kind, polite and charming to a fault.

  • Suddenly Always Knew That: Almost immediately after her debut in the first arc, Sora proves to be quite capable of defending herself against Eggman's robots by fighting them off with a sword, which seems peculiar for an idol singer until she clarifies that she had to learn a sword-fighting routine for a show once. Sonic is unbothered, having just met Sora and appreciating her moves, but the display absolutely floors her fans and begins her elevation from world-famous singer to a 'guardian angel'. This all serves as both a reference to Sora's katana in ''Holo no Graffiti'' and as a sort of allusion to the real life perception of the idol Sora: A 'goddess' who shines brighter than anyone. As well intentioned as the adoration is, it causes Sora to sometimes struggle to connect with her fellow idols as per her own admittance.

    Temma the Ferret

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/temma_1.png
"I believe in my heart that it's true - you are the Azure Wind Spirit, reborn."

A star pupil from the School of Knights with a keen eye for history and ancient lore. His favourite tale is 'Sir Noel and the Azure Wind Spirit', a tale interpreted across the ages about the titular knight and spirit doing battle on the very grounds of his school. He believes Sonic to be some sort of reincarnation of the spirit from the story and duels him to test this theory.

  • Blood Knight: He shows some hints of this, with the interruption of a good fight being amongst his officially listed dislikes.

  • Right for the Wrong Reasons: Due to the events of Holograph: Myth, it turns out that Temma was hilariously close to figuring out the relationship between Sonic and the Azure Wind Spirit. Only thing is, it's not reincarnation that's in play, but rather Time Travel.

    Oga the Minotaur

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/oga_0.png
"Yo~"

One of the strongest warriors in the Demon Realm, and the strongest of it's army (of which he has recently retired). Oga makes himself useful by helping out Towa and sticking by her side as a sort of bodyguard.

  • Our Minotaurs Are Different: Rather than be a traditional anthropomorphic bull, Oga is a Minotaur, matching various other Demon Realm characters in being a mythological creature as opposed to a regular animal. As per his original counterpart, he's incredibly big and strong, but unlike most depictions of these beasts also possesses powerful black magic and the ability to grow in size. He is not associated with any form of labyrinth as such, but the first time Oga is encountered is guarding the entrance to a winding cave system.

  • Retired Badass: To say that he doesn't have a rather intense reputation would be a lie, but as stated in his description above, he's not officially enlisted anymore.

  • Shock and Awe: Among his array of deadly ranged attacks, Oga's purple lightning rain is particularly spectacular to watch in motion, especially since he usually calls upon it with a Badass Finger Snap.

    Towa the Imp

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/towa_2.png
"The reason I don't show my wings is... H-huh? No, nothing! I didn't say anything!"

Towa is the daughter of the current 'Archdemon', a noble position passed down the generations with close ties to some of the Demon Realm's most important people such as Death-sensei. She's nervous about having to succeed her mother's title someday but otherwise tries to keep things upbeat, she has a particular shared interest in video games with Oga.

  • Our Imps Are Different: Towa isn't an anthropomorphic animal at all, instead a simple demon in design. Imps are common to the Demon Realm and have leathery, bat-like wings they can reveal to fly as well as having prehensile tails. Tail and wing shapes vary greatly, and it is even possible for Imps to have feathered wings rather than leathery ones - it isn't even all that uncommon - nonetheless Towa is deeply ashamed of being a noble-blooded demon with wings that make her look like an angel.

    Bibi

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bibi_aur_and_evolved.png
"Isn't that a... Chao?"
Evolved Form

Towa's 'sprite' guardian, resembling a devilish fairy. Sonic knows his kind better as 'Chao', and just like the Chao Bibi has many peculiar powers thanks to his adaptable biology, Aura-influenced evolution and equally as Aura-induced mutation into a powerful monster.

  • Fluffy the Terrible: Aww, 'Bibi'? That's so cute! Especially for a little devil-like creature. Oh, what's this? He's getting bigger... Oh dear.

  • Mythology Gag: Bibi's evolved form is basically just Chaos 0, just with lava instead of water. Considering that Chaos himself is canonically a mutated Chao, this makes a lot of sense.

  • Power Gives You Wings: He has a pair of wings normally, but isn't all that strong. On the other hand, his mutated form turns its arms into wings in the second phase of his boss battle, making him that much more difficult to get a good hit on.

    Kanata the Hamster

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kanata_7.png
"Hey- don't call me 'gorilla'!"

An angelic anthropomorphic hamster from another realm that fought bravely against the forces of Doctor Eggman during his attack on her home. While she attends the Celestial Academy to learn healing magic, she holds a shocking amount of physical strength in her tiny frame and uses it and her magic both to fight for the righteous virtues of justice and good.

  • Pintsized Powerhouse: Even by the standards set by Sonic character proportions, Kanata is rather petite. This makes it all the more surprising when she starts busting Badniks with her bare hands.

  • Unusual Halo: Rather than a traditional ring halo, Kanata (and all her fellow angels, for that matter) have halos shaped like four-pointed stars.

    Dr. Ivo 'Eggman' Robotnik

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/eggman_smaller.png
"Get a load of this!"

Sonic's nemesis, the evil doctor with a rad genius that will stop at nothing to see the world painted in his image. Which world? In the end, who cares, falling down a rabbithole simply meant there was a brave new frontier for Eggman to try his hand at. His experiments with Aura Energy led to frightful breakthroughs, and there's not a chance he won't try to mess with other worlds again...

  • All Your Powers Combined: In the final showdown with Shining Sonic, Eggman's Aura Armor shows off crystalline Hard Light constructs based on his various Egg Mobile weapons.

  • Improbably High I.Q.: As in canon, Dr. Eggman has an IQ of 300, yet still finds himself caught up on the finer details of villainy such as his all-consuming rivalry with Sonic and soaring ego, leading to his many defeats.

  • Manchild: Shows shades of this, but in a twisted manner. He has a fixation with things like theme parks and some of his Badniks have an almost cute, toylike appearance to them; his personality is described as 'lending itself to an unpredictable trickster as much as it does a sadistic lunatic' in his bio, which is backed up by the way he casually flits between projects in the first story arc as though they aren't focused around the subjugation of innocent creatures and experimenting on them For Science!. He's just too excited to focus on one thing at a time.

  • Powered Armor: After taking down the Hyper EggRobo MK.II, Sonic is greeted by Eggman's new last resort: an Aura-powered suit of mechanical armor that not only has similar Time Master capabilities, but also boasts power and speed stated to be on par with Super Sonic. It takes the formation of the new Shining Sonic form with the help of everyone met so far to put Sonic on par with this Aura Armor.

  • Real Men Hate Affection: Among the dislikes listed in his character bio, 'displays of warmth an affection' is present. In perhaps a parallel to how Sonic hates seeing people cry, Eggman just can't stand saccharine expressions of affection or intimacy.

    Amelia the Dog

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/amelia_12.png
"You have quite the legend in this world, Sonic. All that’s left now is for you to fulfill it."

One might first look at Amelia and wonder why she's standing with a crowd of extraordinarily powerful mythical beings and ascended individuals. If you've started to underestimate her, then you've made a big mistake; She's probably already checked all your pockets and scribbled down your mother's phone number after cracking into your cellphone without you even realizing, and you won't realize when she pays her a visit later either. 'Ame' (as she is sometimes called) is a time traveler who plays with the universal concept like it's putty via her pocket watch and uses her talents as a detective to solve mysteries and have fun. Her crass way with words and friendly manner of speech hide her true competence, after all it takes a certain kind of woman to earn a doctorate, become a master detective and still have time to pick up chemistry on the side.

  • Badass Normal: Despite the incredible powers offered by her pocket watch, Amelia is still a normal mortal woman in comparison to her circle of friends. The fact that some would say she's the most dangerous of them all really puts into perspective how terrifying she could be if pushed to her breaking point.

  • Ground Pound: An inside joke among her friends as well as an actual technique she employs in battle when called for.

  • Other Me Annoys Me: Her typical attitude towards her alternate selves across time, of whom she occasionally speaks of.

  • Time Master: Her pocket watch makes her one, though only in dimensions with ambient Aura Energy, as it is powered by an Aura-focusing crystal inside an amplification device fashioned after a watch.

Sonic Holograph: Myth

    Ina'nis "Ina" the Octopus

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ina_3.png
Despite her sickness, she rose from her bed and acted as Sonic's guide.

Once a normal anthropomorphic octopus, Ina was enlightened by the Forbidden Truths of the Ancient Ones after coming into contact with a grimoire connected to the creatures. Gaining orange patterns and sprouting wings from her hips, she became their priestess and attained both incredible powers and immortality in the process - allowing her to forge unbreakable bonds with her close friend group of other immortals and a charming time-traveler.

  • Deep Sleep: Due to the affliction plaguing her in Myth, Ina often experiences bouts of this that she is unable to wake from, sometimes for days at a time.

  • Fictional Disability: Typically just called an 'affliction', Ina experiences near constant sensory overload from her mental link to the Ancient Ones before and during the events of Myth, brought on by their unfortunate fate at the hands of main antagonist Entropy. Having to share some fraction of their pain as they are eaten alive and subjected to their screams for help would put just about anyone into a Deep Sleep, which makes it all the more admirable that she got up and helped Sonic search the forest for the first Zone of his adventure in the past. Towards the end of the adventure her condition grows stable enough for her to appear during the final confrontation, supported by Amelia. Once Entropy is dealt with, Ina begins to recover.

    Anya the Keris

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/anya_smaller.png
"Know your place."
Legendary Keris

A Sacred Sword given the power to take a humanoid form by a master smith. Sonic became her latest master during his adventure in the past and the two become close allies despite Anya's reluctance to exert herself. After working with him twice she's decided to not return to slumber and stick around at the School of Knights as her temporary home.

  • The Ageless: On account of being a sword originally, then granted a humanoid form via some kind of magic, Anya's fleshy form would theoretically be tied to the age and wear of her blade in weapon form. Lucky for her, she's a sacred sword brimming with light magic, meaning she does not age at all.

  • Cool Sword: Anya is specifically an Indonesian Keris, a sort of ceremonial dagger that could also be called a short sword (especially when in the hands of anthropomorphic animals averaging somewhere in the three foot tall radius). It's peculiar curved blade makes it a tricky weapon to fight against, even before you factor in it's latent magic.

  • Holy Hand Grenade: Anya's ancient magic is portrayed as being a golden light capable of purifying/smiting evil and removing dark corruption. It's especially effective against Black Magic and the Ancient Ones, making her the go-to ally to call upon if an enemy looks at all shady or cursed. By extension, this property also carries over to Sacred Sonic, who just like in his appearance in Sonic and the Black Knight is powered by the 'sacred light' of Anya and three other magical weapons.

  • Supernatural Gold Eyes: While normally having the lilac eyes of her hololive counterpart, she receives these as the Legendary Sacred Keris.

    Gura the Shark

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gura_normal_smaller.png
-but no sooner have they gone into the forest itself that they’re ambushed out of nowhere by a trident-wielding shark girl, adorned in strange robed attire and with a bloodthirsty spark in her eyes to match her sharp, toothy grin.
Instinct Awakened

A headstrong shark girl that's close friends with several other immortals as well as Amelia, the easygoing and outspoken member of their clique who's rowdy nature and lovable persona mask a buried predator instinct locked away. She's actually a wanted criminal from Atlantis who fled the kingdom after losing control of her hunger, committing mass slaughters and cannibalizing many of her fellow fish-folk. The trauma of that time has led to her burying her instincts and start life anew on the surface.

  • The Nicknamer: Her affectionate insults tend to stick as these, with common examples being 'stinky' or 'bozo' (with the latter typically reserved for Amelia).

  • Promoted to Playable: Gura becomes one of four playable characters for the End of Time, complete with her own stage based on Minato Landing. She shares this distinction with Calliope and Kiara.

  • Red Is Violent: In her 'Instinct Awakened' state, her blue eyes and hair streaks turn red. This state is defined by a complete lack of impulse control and unchecked predator instincts, leading Gura to randomly attack and bite at others for a taste of fresh meat.

    Ms. Usada

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ms_pekora_usada_i_smaller.png
"Wow! At this rate, I'll be living like a princess!"

Ninjin Village's rising star shopkeep, trying to get her foot in the door and make it big as a businesswoman. She acts as Sonic and Anya's contact in the village due to her wide selection of stock and the Quest Board posted up outside, making her store (or the bench outside it) the go-to hangout spot for Sonic when he's in town. She was previously part of Sir Noel's adventuring party and has such helped her out on a number of quests, but hasn't been called upon in a while out of respect for her blossoming career as a shopkeep. Her first name is actually 'Pekora', the first in a long line.

  • Mythology Gag: In Hololive canon, Usada Pekora has a princess complex and believes herself to be the ruler of a fictional country she created named 'Pekoland'. Ms. Usada calls back to this with her dialogue when Sonic buys something from her shop, which is also her quote on this page.

  • Now I Know What to Name Him: Inverted. Ms. Usada is revealed to be the ancestor of Pekora the Rabbit, but also to be named Pekora herself, going by her last name due to the fact that 'Pekora' is considered a commoner's name in her country and it's given her grief as an aspiring businesswoman. Sonic, having met her descendant and fought with her against Dr. Eggman, tells her that he thinks the name Pekora reminds him of someone brave and unflinching in the face of failure. This leads to Ms. Usada becoming the first in a long line of Pekoras leading up to the one that Sonic befriended in the present.

    Shion the Cat

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shion_49.png
"Eh~? You think you can beat a powerful black mage like myself with that rusty old thing?"

Shion is a smug, powerfully arrogant witch with dominion over black magic. She claims to be from a long line of mages and will often boast about her incredibly abilities around the grounds the Demon Realm Academy (despite not being a student there), but none of her claims regarding her heritage seem to have any evidence. Her skill too, is debatable, as she has a habit of completely overdoing things and tripping over the more simple aspects of fighting - like how a powerful spell still needs proper aim to be effective.

  • Black Magician Girl: Not just any Cute Witch, Shion's smug edge and flare for dark, sinister magic chalks her up as one of these. She claims to be from a whole bloodline of fearsome dark mages and is not to be messed with on account of her great power, but unlike the average Chuunibyou she can at least back it up with some actual spells - powerful ones, even! But alas, Shion has a tendency to overestimate herself and underestimate her opponents, punching way above her weight class or just tripping over her own feet while casting a spell.

  • Cat Stereotype: Shion is a black cat, and also a witch. Due to her hair turning white in a magic accident one could also say she fits the trope of black and white cats being mean, thanks to her giant ego and reputation as a troublemaker.

  • Smug Smiler: One of Shion's most defining traits is her ego, which she often wears on her face as a smug, condescending grin.

  • Non-Mammalian Hair: Zig-zagged, the fur on Shion's head seems like this at first glance, resembling the human hair of her original counterpart, but in actuality is just longer fur turned white by an offhandedly mentioned magic accident.

  • Underestimating Badassery: She took a look at Sonic wielding Anya and all she had to say was... well, her quote. Now, granted, it's not likely she knew that the rusty old thing in question was a Holy Hand Grenade in the shape of a keris, nor that the hedgehog wielding her was the fastest thing alive in a world where Super-Speed is very much not rare, but it still comes across as overly condescending.

    Marine the Jellyfish

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/marine_the_jellyfish.png
"Houshou Pirates, set sail!"

Actually not a real pirate, but an aspiring cosplay girl who wants to leave her home behind and sail the seas in search of booty (in more than one way). Turns out she's friends with the esteemed Sir Noel, and has been her ally on multiple quests. Through this she formed a strong bond with the rest of Noel's team, including a crush on their magical support Rushia.

  • Lovable Sex Maniac: Just like her counterpart. Since Sonic's a fair bit younger than her (and not really her type), it's not focused on in their interactions, but friends of Marine and her handful of interactions with them infer that this trope definitely still applies.
  • Prehensile Hair: If 'hair' extends to tentacles resembling hair atop her head, then this is what you'd call Marine's jellyfish tendrils, though they have a limited range eclipsed by her primary weapon.

    Ayame the Hellhound

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ayame_smaller.png
"Yo-dayo!"

Hailing from the Demon Realm, this devilish dog loves to play tricks and gives everything her all, commanding her two spirit familiars to help elevate her tricks to their upmost hilarity. Despite her default state being a cute, barely-contained giggle, she is nonetheless a fearsome warrior who always carries around a pair of dual blades.

  • Mythology Gag: When transitioning to the second phase of her battle with Sonic, she leaps through the air and one of her swords (specifically the one named Ashura) is dragged through the waterfall behind them. In Sonic the Hedgehog 2, there is a famous glitch involving debug mode in which spawning many waterfalls may cause Sonic's palette to bug out; the most famous incarnation of this glitch is a green Sonic with a black patch on his forehead, nicknamed 'Ashura' by the fandom.

  • Named Weapons: Her twin swords: red 'Ashura' and black 'Rasetsu'. In Japanese, these words mean 'demon' and 'evil spirit' respectively.

    Flare the Panther

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/flare_ver_myth_smaller.png
"It's a real shame to see someone like you wandering alone."
Flare in Sonic Holograph: Resistance

A cheerful and charismatic adventurer who breezes though life at her own pace. Unfortunately for some and fortunately for others, Flare's charms don't switch off and she's got a refined taste for cute girls, much to the chagrin of her actual partner Noel. Aside from being a massive flirt, Flare's a skilled fighter on the field and excels at archery, a bit of swordplay and even magic! Her magical connections go down to the blood, as her family line was affected by an immortality tonic that's distilled the more children they make - Flare will live for at multiple centuries at least without visibly aging past her prime in the slightest. As well as being lovers, she and Noel have been travelling companions many times alongside Pekora the 1st, Marine and Rushia.

  • The Charmer: Flare is known for her smooth talking and powerful charms; She often turns them on any girl that catches her eye simply because she enjoys seeing them smile and blush, despite the fact her relationship with Noel is a bit more serious (and she's the jealous type). This is corrupted when she's under the thrall of Entropy's void monsters, leading her to target couples wandering the Crystal Fields and silently take down any boys to charm the brains out of their girlfriends - the girls who's hearts she ended up breaking from not being serious with her advances came together and filed the request to have her taken down to the Quest Board.

  • Weak, but Skilled: Not to say that Noel lacks skill, but compared to how ridiculously strong she is, Flare is stuck as this trope by default. While lacking in physical power, Flare makes up for it by being a talented swordswoman, archer, and spellcaster.

    Sir Noel the Cow

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sir_noel_smaller.png
"I won't forgive you, Flare has eyes for only me!"

One of the School of Knights' most legendary pupils, holder of incredible strength and a heart that beats for justice, only... Well, she has a very panther-shaped weak-spot you're best not messing with. Though she is normally a kind, chivalrous sort, Noel can be quickly driven to anger from anyone messing with her beloved; Flare somehow never gets it as bad despite the fact she's usually the one flirting with others, likely because Noel just can't bring herself to be mad at her and knows at the end of it the day it's all in good fun. In any case, Sir Noel is a famous folk hero in many regions thanks to her numerous quests taken alongside a myriad of adventurers including Flare, Marine, Rushia and Pekora the 1st.

  • Carry a Big Stick: Noel's iconic weapon is her mace which, when combined with her superhuman strength, can cave in the toughest of shields, suits of armour or skulls if you're particularly bad at dodging.

  • Mighty Glacier: Noel's strength is held in such respect that she would often be compared to a demigod in the historical retellings of her adventures, if not outright claimed to be one. She's also solid as a brick wall, acting as both the tank and DPS of her allies at the cost of being outsped by all of them 9 times out of 10. The '1' in that case would be when sufficiently rage-boosted, wherin she may perform a sudden breakneck charge or a powerful leap into action.

  • Super-Strength: Enough to smash through stone and throw monsters much larger than herself, she is considered superhuman note  among her peers.

    Ayunda the Squirrel

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ayunda_smaller.png
"Heh. Nut."

A sorceress with a deep voice and a carefree nature, Ayunda doesn't like to overthink things and simply does what she likes when she likes, usually teasing and performing all sorts of mischief with her magic. She's playful rather than malicious, thankfully, and many people in her village refer to her as 'big sis' or some other variation.

    Kiara the Phoenix

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kiara_92.png
"You always resign yourself to this role, the big-headed bad guy that everyone can rally against, the one who does things that nobody else wants to. That strength is why I love you, but that love is why I can't let you go through with this either."

Kiara is a proud and brilliant warrior, reincarnated across the ages thanks to her phoenix immortality. She uses her many lives to better the world around her in any way she can, chasing dreams, fighting off evil and indulging herself in the eternal rivalry between herself and Calliope the Reaper. Being an 'insult to the balance of life and death', she and Calli have a natural clash of views that leads to them fighting often, but through those passionate duels a flame of love and adoration was sparked inside Kiara that blossomed into something resembling at least a friendship for the time being. She is also friends with a handful of other immortals as well as Amelia the Dog.

  • Poor Communication Kills: Her fight with Sonic was based on ill rumours and misconceptions about what he was getting up to with Anya, mixed with a bit of desperation at getting her hands on the blade herself in order to save the world.

  • Promoted to Playable: Kiara becomes one of four playable characters for the End of Time, complete with her own stage based on the Firefly Forest complete with its own combat section. She shares this distinction with Calliope and Gura.

    Ollie the Zombie

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/oilie_smaller.png
"How do you kill... What's not alive!?"

Ollie is a mish-mashed zombie chimera brought from death by an unknown party, lost and confused. She joined Calliope's undead army as a field commander, earning such a prestigious position thanks to her surprisingly skilled and unpredictable swordsmanship that involves taking full advantage of her undead body.

  • Attractive Zombie: For being dead and having had a bunch of other animal bits sewed onto her body, Ollie manages to stay perky and look cute! If you can stomach her twistiness, that is.

  • Friendly Zombie: No, she does not hunger for brains. Ollie is fully sapient and the only potential personality altering she's gone through has occurred after she died, with nothing to do with the revival process itself.

  • Our Zombies Are Different: She embodies several zombie archetypes of the trope, from being a Friendly Zombie who remains adorable despite her Frankenstein's Monster-esque appearance.

  • Voodoo Zombie: Having been brought back by some kind of necromancy, she is technically one of these. The identity of the one who revived Ollie is unknown.

    Rushia the Butterfly

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rushia_smaller.png
"These are sacred grounds."

A student of the Demon Realm Academy handpicked by Death's apprentice to join her army as a high-ranking Necromancer for the then-upcoming conflict against Atlantis. Rushia is still lacking in real experience fighting battles and has a mean streak that flares up especially when she's put on the back foot, her hair trigger temper is sometimes enough to catch her a surprise victory from the shock of her screams alone. Despite having a low tolerance for failure, Rushia always manages to bounce back and is constantly innovating her art to convince herself that she's worthy of Calliope's notice.

  • Berserk Button: Her bust size. Just... Don't.

  • Butterfly of Death and Rebirth: A carry-on from her counterpart is Rushia's butterfly motif, representative of her role as a necromancer dealing in matters of death, rebirth and all-around change. Holograph's Rushia takes this to the logical extreme by literally making her a butterfly.

  • Super Mode: Rushia briefly attempts to power up after being defeated by Sonic in Myth, all of the green on her body flashing pink before returning to it's normal colour and Rushia collapsing. Sonic is curious as to what her plan was and ponders whether she was trying to enact this trope, but is unable to stick around and ask.

    Calliope the Reaper

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/calli_reaper_mode_smaller.png
"Welcome to the mountaintop. Now, die."
Calliope's true form

First apprentice of Death-sensei and a harvester of souls, Calliope is a witty (if occasionally clumsy) wordsmith that always seems to have a clever comeback or snarky remark to make. Until you hit her where her guard is weak, then she's a stuttering mess. Being a Reaper as well having lots of pent up emotions regarding her dreams and aspirations for life, Calliope has taken to literally wearing a mask so as to distance herself from her work (as well as hiding the fact she's actually a lemur as a side-effect), a trait that comes into play whenever she feels like one of her friends have overstepped their bounds and requires the attention of Death's apprentice.

  • Optional Boss: In a similar manner to the "Lancelot Returns" mission from Sonic and the Black Knight, Calliope also has an optional rematch against a stronger version of herself after the main story, dubbed "Rematch with the Reaper".

  • Shinigami: Though she is but an apprentice to the big man himself, Calliope is a supernatural being who's mission is to take souls down to the Underworld (known more commonly as the Demon Realm due to it's native populace).

  • Promoted to Playable: Calliope becomes one of four playable characters for the End of Time, complete with her own stage based on the final stage of the Reaper's Stronghold: Memento Mori. She shares this distinction with Gura and Kiara.

    Entropy

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/entropy_true_form.png
At first glance, the appearance of a creature born from what they had locked away proved Sana was right - it was a living being! But that did not make it a member of the Ancient Ones, a fact that soon became horrifyingly clear as the Time Eater decided to expand it’s palate to these cosmic creatures. .

A fragment of a fragment, gorged on the cosmic flesh of beings hailing from the void. It knows naught but suffering and fury, yet has gathered enough sense to corrupt and sway for the purpose of destruction on an efficient scale as well as a grand one. More of a force than a sentient mind at this point, it will stop at nothing to get the revenge it covets.

  • Canon Foreigner: While it's in-universe origins define it as a new form of the Time Eater with elements of Hololive's Ancient Ones, this entity is technically an original creation for Sonic Holograph.

  • Combat Tentacles: Thanks to it's Ancient One biology, Entropy has many tentacles that it uses to attack both directly and indirectly with.

  • Evil Evolves: Entropy is the result of the Time Eater devouring the Holo Dimension's local deep-space monstrosities the Ancient Ones in a ravenous fit after being released from a seal partway through regeneration. Eating these creatures has allowed the Time Eater to absorb their powers and gain some of the knowledge they're known for, imbuing onto it some slightly more advanced mental functions such as to corrupt living beings in the name of it's wrathful crusade. Tracing this even further back reveals that the Time Eater in and of itself was a Residual Evil Entity: The carrion of Mephiles the Dark's time-bending powers after the timeline of Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) was erased by Sonic and Elise.

  • Greater-Scope Villain: Literally the only reason why the Planet-Eater from Episode Shadow -Stardust Song- even exists is because the Time Eater started making the Ancient Ones its breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If not for that, they wouldn't have been scattered across space by Sana, wouldn't have began devouring planets due to their survival instinct, and wouldn't have coalesced into an Almighty Idiot that only knows consumption.

  • Punny Name: Sonic Holograph: Myth is a story all about the first generation of Hololive's English branch at it's core, so... Sonic is teaming up with HoloEN to do battle against ENtropy.

Sonic Holograph: Blazy Mix ~Plasmagic Seasons!!~

    Blaze the Cat

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blaze_4.png
"You can't escape me!"
Sealed Flames

A level-headed princess from a oceanic planet in another dimension, Blaze commands the power of pyrokinesis and has come a long way to grow into her role as both a ruler and a Guardian of her world's precious treasures: The Sol Emeralds. When a rogue robot was hopping dimensions to siphon the energy of the seasons, Blaze was called into action and helped put an end to the crisis by harneessing the very energy that was being stolen.

  • A-Cup Angst: Though it was only mentioned a small number of times on older documentation, Blaze is apparently insecure about the size of her chest. Given her age and the fact that this comment - likely intended to be a joke - wouldn't have been considered as funny overseas, it is considered to be a rare piece of trivia among overseas fans. It could be considered quite at home in a Hololive crossover, however, given how often boob jokes are thrown around by the idols and fans alike, though Holograph typically avoids that sort of humour as it is more tonally centered around the Sonic side of the crossover.

  • Cute Little Fangs: Blaze has small, sharp fangs that make her rare wide smiles all the more appealing. Applies to all her forms.

  • Mega Manning: She first acquires her seasonal transformations by taking down their respective Plasmagic Siphons, and then powers them up and gets them into the game's upgrade system by beating the Plasmagic affectee of the area.

  • Multiform Balance: Has this going on during the events of the hypothetical game with her Plasmagic-based forms, which all possess different powers, advantages, and disadvantages. She eventually loses this benefit when the restored Weather Hacker removes the Plasmagic energy from her body, resulting in the creation of the Season Sisters.

  • Physical God: In a scenario where she refuses to have her Plasmagic energy removed from her while still regaining her pyrokinesis, a complicated sequence of events that includes a boss fight with Fauna ends with her imbuing the Sol Emeralds with her Plasmagic to become Blaze of the Equinox, a godlike figure with complete control over nature itself. Thankfully, this scenario is a (mostly) non-canon Alternate Universe.

  • Playing with Fire: Blaze's primary power is that of bending fire to her will, from swirling it around her body to letting off fireballs to walking through fire without harm, Blaze (as her namesake suggests) is a master of all things that burn. Just wait til' she starts 'Burning' too.

    Aki the Siren

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aki_smaller.png
"Alona~"

Hailing from an alternate dimension bubbling out from the main branch occupied by the likes of Hololive Productions, Aki is a mysterious siren with the power to cross space and visit other worlds. She's used this power to make many friends across the immediate cluster of dimensions surrounding her home and acts as a peculiar - but comforting - presence that appears and slips away at a whim.

  • Adaptation Species Change: Of all the hololive characters being reimagined as all sorts of anthropomorphic animals, Aki stands out as having gone from a half-elf to a 'Siren', which may seem odd at first until one realizes that she seems to specifically resemble some kind of otherworldly fish, leaning into the depictions of Sirens as being human/sea creature hybrids akin to mermaids - in this case she is simply representing the fishy half rather than the human one.

  • Magic Dance: Aki's space-warping abilities are somewhat a mystery, but dancing apparently helps her to channel them. She does this when creating portals or warping long distances, implying that the dance (typically influenced by bellydancing) may be helping to focus her mind or energy.

    Autumn Blaze

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/autumn_smaller.png
"Autumn winds, howl."

One of Blaze's transformations that became her own person after Blaze's Plasmagic was extracted, but too imprinted by her essence to return to nature. Autumn is known for being cagey and somewhat dramatic in her own way, muttering poetic ramblings under her breath and somehow always finding a high perch to make foreboding remarks from. She represents Blaze's flair for dramatics magnified, mixed with the lonely winds of Autumn and a pinch of Halloween.

  • Blow You Away: Instead of commanding flames, Autumn Blaze has the power to whip up cool winds which she uses to glide through the air or hover just above the ground. For attacking, her physical strikes are accentuated by sharp blades of orange-tinted air and her Axel Jump has been replaced with a blustery Tornado Jump.

  • Canon Foreigner: This form is completely original to Sonic Holograph, not appearing in any Sonic games beforehand.

  • Goth: Despite being dressed in warm oranges and browns, Autumn Blaze's altered personality often sees her rattling off poetry atop high ledges and carrying herself with what could only be described as practiced lethargy. She fights just fine and doesn't slack, but it seems like she simply prefers to drift along at her own pace if the opportunity is there, enjoying quiet moments to herself. This influence traces back to the associations with Autumn and loneliness: Barren trees, graveyards, beautiful weather with none of the warmth to warrant a pool party and of course: Halloween. While Blaze doesn't draw on Halloween as overtly as other users of Autumn's seasonal energy, it still minorly manifests itself in Autumn Blaze's attitude and interests.

  • Green Thumb: Minor, but being associated with the season of falling leaves means that Autumn Blaze has a fairly prominent leaf motif punctuating many of her moves. Practically every showing of aerokinesis she dishes out is accompanied by autumn leaves getting thrown around, and when she hovers or glides they fall from and around her body. While she's yet to demonstrate it, it's theoretically possible for Autumn to fire leaves as projectiles outright.

    Spring Blaze

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/spring_8.png
"This is what love is capable of!"

Blaze's Spring Form, shaped by Blaze's repressed fascination with the world and all it's things. Her connection to nature and crops lends itself to a generous soul built from the foundation of Blaze's benevolent ruling, but her connection to the holiday of love also makes her a bit of a hopeless romantic. When Blaze tries to return her Plasmagic to it's proper place, it's revealed that her soul has made too much of an imprint on it for the energy to return to nature, resulting in this transformation separating from Blaze as her own person.

  • Canon Foreigner: This form is completely original to Sonic Holograph, not appearing in any Sonic games beforehand. Even though its Green Thumb abilities do evoke Eco Sonic, Blaze has never attained such a form herself.

  • Green Thumb: Spring Blaze manifests abilities from her patron season in the form of chlorokinesis, allowing her to bring new life by growing giant plants to help her get around or fight off enemies.

  • Other Me Annoys Me: Out of Blaze's four seasonal variants, Spring embodies this trope the most. While they would all embarrass her for life if she was to remain in the form for too long, most of those issues can be explained away as something she would never do without the Plasmagic's influence. On the other hand, Spring wears her heart on her sleeve and may end up spilling some things that Blaze would be incapable of taking back. In short, there's a difference between, say, Summer punching somebody in the face out of annoyance and Spring exclaiming to the world about how she's incredibly touch-starved or has unresolved feelings towards Sonic.

  • The Beastmaster: Spring Blaze can command small animals and is a Friend to All Living Things. This ability is of course also based in her seasonal motif, playing on the fact that many animals' mating seasons are in the springtime, leading to the season's association with life and particularly animals like chicks and rabbits.

    Summer Blaze

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/summer_6.png
"YAHOO!"

Blaze's inner child, her tempered passion made raw once again by the personality-altering effects of Plasmagic transformations. Summer believes any problem can be solved with a swift punch to the face and a fireworks display, and will boisterously protect the smiles of people everywhere. This and Spring are the two forms that cause Blaze the most embarrassment thanks to their altered personalities, as her strong connection to summer festivals makes Summer Blaze quite the party animal. When Blaze's Seasonal Forms are separated into their own bodies, she's often mistaken for being the leader due to having the loudest voice.

  • Canon Foreigner: This form is completely original to Sonic Holograph, not appearing in any Sonic games beforehand.

  • Having a Blast: Summer Blaze overall has quite a unique flip on the concept of powers derived from the Summer, being based on Japanese summer festivals rather than the typical light or flame-based abilities one might expect. As such, one of her central abilities is that of creating and launching fireworks from her hands, or just producing their explosions from either her palms or feet. Other fireworks besides the iconic rocket are also not out of the question, such as her spinning jump being based on a Catherine Wheel.

  • Instrument of Murder: Alongside the aformentioned explosive fireworks powers, Summer Blaze can also shape her Plasmagic into giant taiko drums, complete with sticks to beat them with. This is not just a fancy side activity enabled by Plasmagic either, it's a deadly offensive technique in and of itself, hence this trope.

  • Trademark Favorite Food: Karage, a distinct Japanese style of fried chicken.

    Winter Blaze

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/winter_13.png
"We'll be alright."

Though she has come far, Winter Blaze reflects the cold, solitary girl that once was, in a way. Always standing furthest from the crowd, always staring away, lost in thought - her sagely disposition makes her a strong voice of reason in spite of her lacking tact. This form is born from magnifying Blaze's tactical intelligence and disregard for the feelings of herself and others to do what must be done, magnified as it's mixed with the isolation and frigid chill of winter. This is not to say that this form is genuinely unfeeling or malicious, merely that she struggles to express herself. Winter is the strategic commander among her sisters after they're born from Blaze's Plasmagic being separated from her, though the Weather Hacker is their actual leader.

  • An Ice Person: Winter Blaze, as you might expect, can control ice and snow to her liking for mobility and combat. Her primary use of this ability is to create icy protrusions off of her body such as blades on her feet for skating or antlers atop her head for charging, plus she can conveniently use this power to make any surface viable to skate on.

  • Canon Foreigner: This form is completely original to Sonic Holograph, not appearing in any Sonic games beforehand. The closest to it would be Polar Sonic, which possesses similar cryokinesis, but Blaze herself has never used an ice-based form like this in canon.

  • Kuudere: She isn't literally Blaze reverting back to before her character development in Sonic Rush, Winter Blaze just gets 'snowed in' emotionally, so to speak. She struggles to express her feelings because of how focused she is on getting the job done, so only during downtime is it possible to peek through the cracks of her icy exterior and find the truly kind and generous soul beneath. This usually comes up thanks to her minor connections to Christmas (did you notice her red nose?) manifesting as a quiet love of giving gifts, which she will do discreetly so she doesn't have to deal with the stress/embarrassment of being thanked.

  • Megaton Punch: Blaze's Mega Manning of Mio's Plasmagic powers also gave her access to her signature attack, the Snowstorm Smash.

    Mel the Bat

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mel_54.png
"I might look unassuming, but I'm a real vampire! ...Hey, don't look at me like that, it's true!"

Mel is a sweet vampire who lives in the Demon Realm with her friend, Choco. Her natural charm, sweet voice and apparent defenselessness draws many people in to want to protect her, but she's much more capable than you'd think - it's just that she prefers to take life at her own pace. Ironically, she has a phobia of blood and sustains herself on the juice of a particular kind of cherry juice instead.

  • Cute Monster Girl: Mel is a vampire, but her personality would never tip you off. She's sweet, outgoing, maybe a little airheaded at times, but so hardworking that nobody really minds. No biting either, on account of being a Vegetarian Vampire.

  • Obfuscating Stupidity: Choco swears that Mel occasionally indulges in this. While she is genuinely The Ditz at times, there are apparently occasions in which she fakes having a ditzy episode to get what she wants. Whether her acting is good or not doesn't matter much though, due to just how sweet and adorable she is.

  • Vegetarian Vampire: Mel's a total hemophobic, meaning she's more likely to tremble and whimper at the sight of an open wound than lick her lips.

    Choco the Bat

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/choco_smaller.png
"Just here for a checkup?"

Mel's close friend and the school nurse at the Demon Realm Academy, where she also teaches health class. She keeps things professional when she can and is a truly intelligent, hardworking woman... But secretly, she loves to sleep in, eat as much chocolate as she can and get showered with praise and affection from anyone who'll offer it. This gap between her professional outer shell and childish interior makes her quite the popular lady among her peers, but her bond with Mel runs deeper than any other.

  • Berserk Button: She does have one, albeit it's rather downplayed due to being an annoyance at worst. While she can deal with bad pickup lines quite well, having received quite a few herself, ones comparing her to a Dreamcaster (essentially Holograph's PG-13 version of a succubus) are something that she is quite tired of. This is in reference to her idol counterpart, who is often perceived by fans as a succubus, an accusation she is quite quick to deny by claiming to be a simple demon.

  • Cute Monster Girl: Not just any bat, Choco is a 'Demon Bat', evident by her pointed tail. No horns, however, presumably since she already has large ears covering her head that would get lost if they were added.

  • Chocolate of Romance: Choco's character is largely themed around love, attraction and chocolate. Her name and love of the sweet treat mixed with her design (exposed chest, lidded eyes, use of pink and red) blend together to create this overarching theme.

  • Dramatic Irony: From what she was doing as Choco of the Autumn, you'd think she was the vampire and not Mel.

  • Hospital Hottie: As per her counterpart, she's a school nurse and is noted as being very attractive, wearing a provocative outfit and speaking in a sensual voice. Subverted somewhat by her decidedly more unprofessional side, Choco is known to litter her desk with chocolate wrappers and is childishly needy behind closed doors - but for some people, that makes it better.

    Haato the Koala

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/haato_smaller.png
"You guys are degenerates."

A prickly, but overall average young girl who's quite popular. Haato tries her best to act dismissive towards those she isn't interested towards, placing herself on a pedestal of superiority, but her notorious outcast of a twin sister makes it hard for her to project this queen bee persona at times. Though they have some major differences, Haato still cares about Haachama and will do her best to help her out.

  • Tsundere: Don't expect a straightforward 'thank you' if she catches on that you're going out of your way to be nice. Haato struggles to bring herself down enough to accept help at the best of times, but affection is even trickier despite how much she loves love itself.

    Haachama the Koala

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/haachama_smaller.png

A peculiar girl who loves bugs, horror and all things macabre, but is somehow just as girly as her sister regardless. Her extravagant style of dress, peculiar mannerisms and off-putting interests (not to mention the room-evacuating dishes she whips up in the kitchen) have historically made Haachama not only a target for isolation, but bullying as well. Haato struggles to be for her in public due to the image she tries to maintain, but at home the two are very close.

  • Identical Twin ID Tag: Haachama is rarely mistaken for Haato more than once by any given individual, since one encounter is all you'd need to get a grasp of her wildly different fashion sense, preferred way to wear her hair and stylish eyepatch. That, and well, y'know. Her personality.

  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: There is one particular problem that she had caused by complete accident. Originally, Reine had actually retained her faculties in her Spring form, obligatory Plasmagic personality shifts notwithstanding. Only after apprehending Haachama as a trespasser did she get consumed by the Spring Plasmagic and become the beauty freak that Blaze would later encounter.

    Reine the Peafowl

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/reine_smaller.png
"Attention please!"

The princess of an alternate dimension, refined, cool and in-control at any given moment... Hey, have we heard this one before? Despite her royal heritage, Reine studies in a magic academy alongside her peers in the art of sorcery, honing her powers to their fullest before taking the throne some day.

  • Benevolent Mage Ruler: Okay, she's not exactly this entirely yet, but she seemingly only intends to take the throne after mastering her magical abilities, so she's definitely getting there. Especially since, Plasmagic shenanigans aside, she only means the best for her people.

  • Green Thumb: When using the power of Plasmagic to transform into Reine of the Spring, she gains the ability to stimulate wild growth of plants and flowers, though tends to output way more than she can control on account of her corrupted mental state waking a desire to cover the world in beautiful flora.

  • Peacock Girl: Quite literally! Much like her idol counterpart, Reine draws from the colourful blues and greens that are in real life more associated with male peacocks despite being a woman.

  • Related in the Adaptation: Background lore reveals Reine to be a descendant of the ancient Babylonians, making her a very distant relative of Jet the Hawk.

  • Vanity Is Feminine: Reine is a princess and, while the sheer extent of it as shown in the story is due to Plasmagic corruption, is shown to be vain to some extent. After all, Plasmagic doesn't really make up entirely new character traits, it just amplifies existing aspects of one's personality...

    Matsuri the Squirrel

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/matsuri_smaller.png
Matsuri wasn't allowed a quote, because she kept submitting inappropriate ones.

Matsuri is festival drummer and general party girl who says exactly what's on her mind and does whatever she pleases, especially when there's a cute girl around. Her antics usually land her in hot water with any responsible friend she's in visible distance of, but it's hard to stay mad at her thanks to her infectious laughter and genuinely caring nature.

  • Lovable Sex Maniac: There's no two ways about it, Matsuri is a pervert. She is openly flirtatious and lustful to just about every woman who passes her a glance, often invading their personal space to give surprise hugs and smell their clothes/hair. She puts a lot of people off of her this way, but those who stick around realize that this is actually just a proxy of Matsuri's character-defining honesty, she doesn't hide anything and is proud to be herself before anything else.

  • Related in the Adaptation: Despite being from entirely different branches in their source material and rarely interacting, Holograph's Matsuri has a very distant relation to Risu the Squirrel via their shared ancestor, Ayunda.

    Coco the Dragon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/coco_smaller.png
"Uh, I don't exactly have a greeting..."

She might look big and bad, and... Well, she is, but in a way you can't help but respect. Coco is the boss of the 'Kiryu Clan', a Yakuza organization looking to amass money and fame while keeping worse criminals off the streets. Being from a dimension populated largely by dragons, Coco's homeworld is a rather harsh environment, so Coco's been extremely toughened up by her upbringing without losing any of her joy and humour - though she has taken to seeing what other dimensions have to offer too.

  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: She originally had the Weather Hacker built to help people with their fields and such with its Plasmagic-induced Weather Manipulation (for some dough, of course, she is running a Yakuza clan after all). However, the power overloaded the mechanical dragon, causing the entire mess that is the events of Plasmagic Seasons. Probably didn't help that it was powered by Phantom Ruby shards...

    Fubuki the Fox

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fubuki_the_fox.png
"How 'bout we stay friends?"

A cheerful and happy-go-lucky fox girl who lives in the snowy north, helping tend to the Snowstorm Shrine along with her friend Mio. Being the slightly less spiritually inclined of the pair, Fubuki tends to deal with troublemakers and evil spirits (rarely are they mutually exclusive) via swift swordplay and a good heroic speech. Her motivation to work hard is the thought of a good reward once everything's said and done, so some Fox's Delight Udon is all you really need to get in her good graces

    Zaurus the Zeti

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zaurus_1.png
"..."

An enigma residing at the Snowstorm Shrine - where is it that he came from? The one thing that's clear about Zaurus is his unswerving loyalty to Mio, a curious bond that is hard to define despite it's depth. He commands incredible strength and the latent Zeti power of magnokinesis, which he is capable of using to take over even the Plasmagic Siphon robots such as Howling.

  • An Ice Person: In his surprise mutation into Zaurus of the Winter, he is covered in vicious-looking icicles and leaves them behind after his shoulder-charge attack.

  • I Owe You My Life: Zaurus is originally from Sonic's World, the Lost Hex. While most examples of the Rabbithole Phenomena were localized within the period of a handful of weeks (which was then extended due to the Phantom Ruby's interference causing them to suddenly spike in activity), some opened up far in the past and far into the future when Kronii dispersed the spatial distortions across time to save the universe. Mio, as a child, found a stranded and dying Zaurus out in the snow and nursed him back to health, upon which he silently gave his life to protect hers.

  • Undying Loyalty: To Mio. Due to Zaurus being The Voiceless and Mio respecting his privacy, it's unclearly to most exactly why this is the case. Despite that, Zaurus is willing to defend Mio with his very life and follow whatever requests she might have even when she's gone mad with Plasmagic corruption. Defending Mio of the Winter was so important to Zaraus that when Blaze destroyed the Plasmagic Siphon he was controlling, he drained it's energy stores and underwent a transformation himself for a surprise phase 2!

    Mio the Wolf

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mio_smaller.png
"This reading isn't painting us a very happy picture, I'm afraid."

Mio isn't technically the proprietor of the Snowstorm Shrine, but whoever it used to belong to has seemingly no interest in coming back, so Mio decided to take matters into her own hands and keep her favourite hangout spot a thriving sanctuary of the north from spirits, villains and the elements themselves. She practices tarot to help get a better grasp on the future, and her predictions have a very solid track record. So solid in fact, that when sent out of her right mind by way of Plasmagic-induced personality shifting, Mio froze the entire shrine solid with people still inside so as to protect them from a grim future she saw coming.

    The Weather Hacker

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/weather_hacker_smaller.png
"We made it to control the power of weather, a little rain for the farms here, a little snow day there... Some money to the Kiryu Clan would make sure your harvest went over smooth! It's other abilities meant we could expand to other worlds, like Kanatan's- ugh, the point is that I wasn't TRYING to make a weapon!"

An extremely powerful mechanical dragon with the ability to interface with it's surroundings as though it were code. The primary use for this ability is 'hacking' aspects of nature to drain the magical energy source that powers the seasons and weather, dubbed 'Plasmagic' by Aki. Unfortunately due to an unforeseen error and an overabundance of energy, the Weather Hacker went rogue and began gluttonously consuming as much Plasmagic as it could get without caring about the state it left the land in. After being defeated by Blaze in the Entropic Equinox, she and Aki used it's internal dimension-travelling energy stores to warp it to Sonic's World and have Tails fix it's corrupted data. The Weather Hacker now operates as a roaming guardian of nature alongside Blaze's independent Seasonal Forms.

  • Canon Foreigner: While based on Kiryu Coco and her iconic song (from which it's namesake is derived), the Weather Hacker is ultimately an original creation for Sonic Holograph.

    Miles "Tails" Prower

"You'll always be our shining hope."

Sonic's best buddy and little brother, Tails has a prodigious talent with technology and helped in the repair and redemption of the Weather Hacker at Blaze's request. He hopes to one day study the technology of other dimensions using Hacker as his guide.

  • Brainwashing for the Greater Good: Tails is unfortunately guilty of this... Twice. While Sonic is typically compassionate towards any machine that displays clear sentience (such as Metal Sonic, when he's in a situation to show any compassion without getting himself killed), Tails has a much colder view by comparison. When he reprogrammed Gemerl to be good in Sonic Advance 3, you could argue he was still struck by the intense grief of losing Emerl, but it still ultimately robbed Gemerl (a fully sentient being by that point) of making the active choice to follow his own path away from Eggman. Thankfully the second time around with the Weather Hacker wasn't nearly as messed up in retrospect, as it was originally a benign A.I that was corrupted by excess power - Tails just helped to remove those corruptions and let it start again, even throwing in a voice synthesizer for good measure so it could speak up for itself. It is also worth noting that despite his incredible genius... Tails is only 8, so that mixed with his very methodical and scientific way of thinking could be a factor in his general disregard for robot rights, and ideally his relationship with the Weather Hacker would be an avenue of Character Development.

  • Gadgeteer Genius: When he isn't fighting by Sonic's side, Tails is most known for his incredible intellect and mechanical engineering skills. He's worked on planes, spaceships, naval vessels, weapons of all kinds and can apparently reprogram a supercomputer using dishwasher detergent and a toothpick. Alright kid, now you're just showing off.
  • Sidekick: To Sonic, though he is absent for almost the entire first saga on account of it's story following a select few Sonic characters crossing into a world inspired by Hololive.

Sonic Holograph: Episode Shadow -Stardust Song-

    Shadow the Hedgehog

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shadow_the_hedgehog_3.png
"For a moment, I’d forgotten a key trait of this crew; you’re all incredibly stubborn."
Nova Shadow

A hedgehog with a troubled and winding past who's worked hard to get to where he is, and in no small part thanks to the assistance of his friends. After being displaced to another world he took it upon himself to cleanse the evil of the Planet-Eater's vile campaign against life in accordance to his self proclaimed role: Protector of all living things.

  • Combination Attack: In a certain sense. Nova Shadow's various abilities are all Shadow's regular Chaos Powers combined with Hoshinova's lunar magic, such as the Nova Chaos Control being essentially the standard Chaos Control with a dash of Gravity Master.

  • Costume Evolution: After setting off on his space adventure in Stardust Song, Shadow dons a jacket made by Nene. The symbol on it's breast eventually goes on to become the symbol for the Galactic Starlight Corps.

  • Dark Is Not Evil: Shadow is often called Sonic's 'dark reflection' despite their physical differences, and though he has a habit of being the most serious person in the room, he always strives towards doing the right thing. Of course, that's a subjective thing that doesn't always match what the other heroes think...

  • Hover Skates: Shadow's Air Shoes, skates that allow him to reach speeds rivaling that of Sonic the Hedgehog as well as hover in place mid-air. Though hedgehogs in this universe can be born with a latent 'speed gene' that can be activated through special training, it has been said that Shadow requires these skates to be able to hold his own against the fastest of the fast in his universe.

  • Power Limiter: As always, Shadow has his inhibitor rings on to keep him from exerting too much power for him to properly control. He takes them off as Nova Shadow in preparation for the Nova Chaos Control.

  • Symbiotic Possession: Is subjected to this by Hoshinova in order to stop the Planet-Eater without risking Moona's life, resulting in Nova Shadow. While the fusion is only temporary, Shadow's capabilities actually make him a potentially even better host for the Moon Goddess than Moona is.

    Nene the Sun Bear

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nene_smaller_0.png
"For a husband like you, it's no problem!"

Shadow's first companion in Stardust Song is Nene, a happy-go-lucky alien bear who rolls with the punches and has a peculiar fixation on the concept of marriage without fully understanding it. She acts as the heart of Shadow's space crew and is the sunny counterweight to Shadow's formal and serious personality.

  • Bizarre Alien Biology: Even besides her Overly-Long Tongue, Word of God states that sun bears like herself have miscolored, raised patches of skin under their fur that act almost like natural solar panels. This natural photosynthesis messes with their diet a little, but Nene's not too bothered.

  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: Nene will often ramble on about what sounds like total nonsense, particularly when trying to explain her odd fixation on the concept of marriage, which consists of calling just about anyone she likes a 'husband' regardless of gender (and nothing to do with actual ceremonies or rings). She struggles to take most forms of danger seriously and will always find something to make light of, keeping morale high for her teammates even when faced with danger of death or grievous harm.

  • Ursine Aliens: Nene the Sun Bear is, in fact, not your average anthropomorphic animal. Drawing from her lore pre-redesign, she is an alien hailing from Planet Taotao, though at first it's hard to tell her apart from the rest of the brightly coloured animal-folk running around... Then she sticks her tongue out.

    Moona the Rabbit

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/moona_7.png
"Yes, shachou?"

Pekora's assistant and the only employee of Usada Construction besides the CEO. Moona is a typically quiet and reserved young lady who struggles to let her guard down, but is always relaxed around her beloved boss and friend. It's odd, though, sometimes it seems she gets really comfortable in even a situation where someone as stoic as would normally try to blend in with the background. This is due to her being a host to the Goddess of the Moon, Hoshinova, who has a starkly contrasting personality like that of a sultry and sadistic older woman with a deep voice to match.

  • Shrinking Violet: A minor case, and it's nothing to do with the colour of her fur. Moona's poker face and reserved personality are actually in no small part a result of social anxiety, but she manages to keep up appearances thanks to everyone assuming she's got it all together. These tendencies are all but completely erased when she's in her element with Pekora. Hoshinova is so far beyond caring what others think of her that it can be comedic.

  • Symbiotic Possession: Has this relationship with the Moon Goddess Hoshinova, though she has trouble drawing upon her immense power when it is needed most. This also makes her a downplayed example compared to Nova Shadow, as he is far better at actually handling Hoshinova's power.

    AZKi the A.I

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/azki_smaller.png
"First!"
Usada Gear form

AZKi is an artificial intelligence program with complete free will and decision-making abilities, her own emotions and dreams, even what you could call a 'soul'. Her advanced status is an enigma among onlookers to COVER Corp's activities and there is a fairly large percent of her audience who do not actually believe that she isn't a fully organic young woman. AZKi has big dreams in the idol world and works tirelessly (in a quite literal sense) to achieve them while doing her best to not forget that she needs breaks and enrichment just as much as anybody else. She's naturally curious and seeks knowledge to fill the gaps in what pre-programmed information can explain.

  • Equippable Ally: In Stardust Song, AZKi will enter the Usa-G (aka Usada Gear) to fly around and accompany Shadow on some missions as a sort of drone. She is, as one would expect from a creation of Pekora, armed to the teeth with a pair of twin machine guns and acts as Shadow's 'weapon' in areas where there are otherwise none to collect.

  • Projected Man: The method by which she performs on stage, similar to real life hologram concerts. Her Holo-Bear form is also how she is depicted when appearing on screens in full, taking the form of a sprite.

    Suisei the Hedgehog

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/suisei.png
"It's your shooting star, your diamond in the rough!"

A member of Hololive Productions who was chosen to board an experimental spacecraft as part of the 'Space Channel Hololive' program. Suisei is a hard-working and passionate individual who's always chasing new heights to meet up with the tall expectations placed on herself, inspired by Sora to never stop moving forward. She accepted the outlandish concept of sending idols to perform on a space station readily (her stellar theme was what made her the first pick over Sora, after all) but was unfortunately marooned on the frigid Planet Elurra when her ship was attacked by pirates. Now a rescued member of Shadow's space crew, she carries the fire axe she clung to for self-defense on Elurra as her primary weapon.

  • Best Served Cold: Her reason for trying to attack the Space Pirates. They left her stuck and freezing on Elurra, and she wants vengeance.

  • Cosmic Motifs: Specifically comets. Suisei's cool blue colours lend themselves to the imagery of such icy trailblazers. She also wears accessories featuring stars, such as her bracelet. After enduring special training akin to the kind undertaken by Amy Rose, Suisei starts to unlock innate speedster genes. When this manifests as her learning the Boost, her variant specifically leans into the comet imagery and is named the 'Comet Boost'.

  • Girl with Psycho Weapon: Justified, the axe she carries was on her ship for emergency situations and she needed something to defend herself with on Elurra. Later though, it's somewhat parodied as she still holds onto it after the threat has passed, reaching for it when the pirates that left her marooned to begin with return.

  • Idol Singer: Suisei's occupation. She worked hard to earn her place at Hololive after being awestruck by one of Sora's early performances.

    The Planet-Eater

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/planet_eater_smallest.png
"Your power… your WORLD… mine to consume…"
Second form

An horrific amalgam born from the coalescing of unknown amounts of Ancient Ones that survived the calamity of their kind that acted as a key plot point in Sonic Holograph -Myth-. After leaving the far reaches of reality to roam the stars in search of ways to replenish themselves, these grievously wounded and furious survivors united into a single entity that could sustain itself on the energy of life itself, feeding on entire celestial bodies for both their living organisms and the raw power of their ecosystems.

  • All Your Powers Combined: Kind of. Once it enters its second form against Nova Shadow, it begins using attacks based on the various planets it has consumed, such as icicles from Ellura, volcanic rocks from Praia, and the Laser and Cube Color Powers from the residents of Planet Wisp.

  • Almighty Idiot: Despite the Ancient Ones being known for their vast knowledge, the Planet-Eater has abandoned its higher cognitive abilities in favour of a single-minded desire to eat and survive.

  • Expy: The Planet-Eater is an accidental one to The End, the ultimate antagonist of Sonic Frontiers, both being massive Eldritch Abominations that casually destroy worlds and take on planetoid-like forms when in direct combat. The primary difference is that the Planet-Eater is an Almighty Idiot that only thinks about consuming worlds, while The End is a Manipulative Bastard that was able to play off of the natures of all sides involved to bring upon its return.

    Planet Wisp Defense Force

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pwdf_smaller.png
"Assume defensive positions!"

A team of Evolved Wisps tasked with defending their homeworld from the Planet-Eater's invasion, freshly formed and consisting of some of the most capable individuals of the Evolved subspecies. There are 6 of them in all: Prism, the stoic and stalwart leader, Lance, the aptly-named loner who prefers to flank his opponents, Soar, the level-headed scout, Flash, the excitable and hot-headed youngster, Harmony, the gentle support specialist and finally Astel, the cocky and laid-back friend of Princess Iofi. While they have starkly different personalities and are somewhat divided into two sub-teams of three by their ages and personalities (Prism/Lance/Soar and Flash/Harmony/Astel respectively) they are all dedicated to doing right by their beloved Mother Wisp and protecting those unable to protect themselves.

This folder is for tropes relating to the first 5 members as a collective, see Astel's solo folder below for details on him.

  • Canon Foreigner: All of them are original characters, though based loosely on the concept that in holostars lore, Astel arrived on Earth with a crew of fellow aliens whom he was separated from.

    Astel the Laser

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/astel.png

Like how many animals and inanimate objects evolved into Creatures of Aur via prolonged exposure to ambient Aura Energy, some of the Wisps of the Holo Dimension also grew to become more Mobian-like in proportion, their large bodies acting as even greater sources of Hyper-go-on energy, not to mention their appendages giving them greater dexterity and shaped vocal chords allowing for languages beyond their own to be learned. Astel is an Evolved Cyan Wisp employed by the Planet Wisp Defense Force, a squad of fellow evolved specimens formed by the latest Mother Wisp in response to the threat of the Planet-Eater and it's forces. He seems to always project an aura of cool confidence, though he'll readily raise his voice and yell if something's not going his way, making him come off somewhat immature and bratty at times.

  • Ambiguous Situation: Of all the things to cause one of these, his "hair". All that's known for sure is that it's actually a sort of gelatinous membrane and a rather uncommon sight amongst the evolved Wisps, and anything else is a total question mark due to Astel's (likely purposefully) inconsistent accounts of what it is.

  • Innocent Aliens: After fighting hordes of the Planet-Eater's alien forces, coming into contact with friendly Wisps is a much-appreciated change of pace for Shadow and his space crew. Astel, while cheeky, is a strong ally to the team and cares a lot for his fellow Wisps and new friends.

  • Naked on Arrival: While it isn't much of a concern due to Sonic's character design being well-acquainted with the Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal and the Evolved Wisps being smooth cephalopod-like creatures, Astel doesn't wear a thing on his person until later in the story when the crew stop at the Twin Rings Station to regroup after leaving Planet Wisp. While offscreen, Astel procures himself the stylish outfit seen in his profile image and continues wearing it from then on.

    Iofi the Mother Wisp

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/iofi_smaller.png
"Creating life is a lot like painting."
Nega-Iofi
The Wisps of the Holo Dimension, as well as having a more advanced culture and a number of evolved individuals, has a remarkably different system in place regarding their ruler, the Mother Wisp. In order to keep up with the rest of her kind's evolution, the original Mother Wisp used her incredible power to revert herself back into an infantile state, reincarnating into someone entirely new. This cycle has continued for many centuries, with the current Mother Wisp being a relatively new holder of the title named Iofi. She's easy-going and loves to create art as well as new life, dreaming of seeing the galaxy and all it's wonders someday, that it may inspire her.

  • All Your Powers Combined: Aside from some attacks taken from her Sonic Colors counterpart, most of Nega-Iofi's attacks take after the Color Powers of the Planet Wisp Defense Force.

  • Extra Eyes: Similarly to the Mother Wisp of Sonic's world, she too has three eyes. Her third eye is just hidden beneath her bangs.

  • Face–Monster Turn: Just like her counterpart from Sonic's world (atleast in the 3DS version of Sonic Colors), she ends up being drained of her Hyper-go-on energy and thus turned into a Nega-Wisp. The MoonRabbit crew turns out to do about as good a job as Super Sonic in bringing her back to her senses.

  • Innocent Aliens: Not only is Iofi kind-hearted and in staunch opposition to the invading aliens led by the Planet-Eater, she's also quite literally 'innocent' in the sense that she has only recently come into existence after the reincarnation of the previous Mother Wisp, meaning she's got little in the way of worldly experience.

  • Naked on Arrival: Like Astel, she initially appears without any clothes on (unless you somehow count the characteristic 'frills' of Mother Wisps) and dons an outfit at the Twin Rings Station as part of attempted Retail Therapy by some of the MoonRabbit crew's other girls. Justified in that Wisps simply do not wear clothes normally on account of most of them being tiny and lacking much in the way of physical 'meat' to drape clothes over. The anthropomorphic Wisps like Iofi and Astel discover clothing on their first voyage away from their homeworld.

Cap'n Chromebeard and the Space Pirates

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_pirates.png
"Arright, ye scallywags! Take everything that ain't nailed down— and then take those, too!"

These roaming robots have uncertain origins, but what's very certain about them is their obsession with pilfering shiny treasures across the cosmos. 'Cap'n Chromebeard' is their leader and the prime figurehead of this creed, his mission to snatch up the brightest shining things he can so that he can prove that there is nothing in the universe shinier than his... Beard? Whoever did make these machines seemingly didn't quite nail the cognitive circuitry, because these guys can't actually self-repair all that well - explaining their shoddy frames and botched modifications. Still, while they may seem like small fry, their boldness and grit means they can't be ignored.

  • Canon Foreigner: They're original villains to Holograph, but are intended to somewhat act as caricatures of scalpers, particularly those who buy up limited merchandise and sell it off themselves for higher prices. This is unfortunately not absent from the Sonic or Hololive communities, as both franchises have their fair share of merch with some being particularly limited such as toys made based on specific games or clothing based on a particular album.

  • Non-Mammalian Hair: Well, kinda, but... yes, that is indeed supposed to be a beard, not an oversized metal jaw. Cap'n Chromebeard is quite proud of his facial "hair", to the point of stealing all the shiny things solely to try and prove that his beard is the shiniest thing in the universe.

  • Weird Beard: As stated above, Cap'n Chromebeard's beard looks more like a metallic jaw than proper facial hair. Probably has to do with him being a robot.

    Hoshinova

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hoshinova_tropes.png
"Gee, you've really put the spotlight on me now... Fine. If you're so desperate."
Hoshinova's true form

The Holo Dimension's resident goddess of the moon who, many years ago, found herself dying and on the brink of fading away. Landing on Planet Eden close to a young girl, she opted to merge herself with the mortal young woman in order to preserve her own essence and gift the girl with the guidance of the moon itself... What are the odds she'd get stuck with a girl called 'Moona'? Hoshinova has for most of Moona's life existed within her as a sort of secondary personality, a voice in her head that is also capable of taking over her body at points, leading the the curious case of a reserved young lady suddenly acting like a mature, sensual older woman.

  • Bilingual Bonus: The 'hoshi' in her name is the Japanese word for 'star', while nova refers to the word 'supernova'.

  • Gravity Master: She possesses the power to manipulate gravity, though she technically doesn't use it by herself. The only time this is used is when Nova Shadow brings out the Nova Chaos Control.

  • Lunacy: No duh. As the Lunar Goddess, she possesses various magical powers relating to the moon, including creating and controlling beams of moonlight. All these powers are granted to her hosts as well.

  • Male Sun, Female Moon: Hoshinova is referred to as female by herself and others, contrasting the male Yatagarasu, the god of the sun.

  • Purple Is Powerful: Hoshinova is a goddess and possesses a color scheme that combines this trope with Gold-Colored Superiority. She also imparts this trope onto her hosts, as shown with both Moona and Nova Shadow.

  • The Tease: Oh very much so. She is not at all afraid of dropping a casual Double Entendre mid-conversation.
Hoshinova: "Oh, how cruel you are, Shadow... forcing a girl to bare her all like this."

  • Statuesque Stunner: Well, atleast in comparison to how small the typical anthropomorphic animal is in any particular dimension. Hoshinova's true form is stated by Word of God to be around two heads taller than anyone in the MoonRabbit crew.

    Sana the Speaker

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sana_smaller.png
Yet somehow, the universe is fun now.

Sana is a member of the Council, 5 beings of grand cosmic status that embody concepts vital to mortal life and the universe itself. She represents the concept of Space, and ever since making the mistake of releasing an ancient evil centuries ago has been travelling the galaxy in search of ways to make things right.

  • Sizeshifter: One of the many aspects of space she embodies is its vastness, which she generally uses to grow. A lot. Like, to the size of a star.

  • Space Master: Less master, more literal embodiment of the concept itself.
