Before TV Tropes, I was a normal person, with normal habits and a social life. But, of course, I found myself drawn in and annoyed when there wasn't a Fugazi work page, and, well, you know, Tv Tropes Will Ruin Your Life. But who am I kidding, I had no social life!
So now I spend my days red-eyed and bleary from scrounging tropes for my work pages. Luckily enough, my TV Tropes involvement also coincided with my new appreciation for films from The Golden Age of Hollywood. I now watch too many movies and make too many work pages for them.
I'd also like to point out that I'm the queen of malapropisms, so I apologize in advance (sore-ry!) for using the wrong letter. But I will also use my favourite excuse: English isn't my first language. note
Here are some random things I like: Screwball Comedies, two-hour naps, Rickenbackers note , tort law, and the occasional Oreo.
And if you're wondering what the hell a "long tall shorty" is, listen to this from The Kinks. Or this

Media I Like:
- Films: The non-The Golden Age Of Hollywood films I like: The Cornetto Trilogy (Hot Fuzz is the favourite), Paper Moon, What's Up, Doc?, In the Mood for Love, Logan, Trading Places, and Amélie.
- Music: Mostly rock for a very long time, but the love of classic films has given me a new appreciation for Jazz and its subgroups. Always on rotation are the following: The Kinks (up until Muswell Hillbillies), Weezer, Crowded House, Fugazi, Nirvana, The Jam, Ella Fitzgerald, and The Doors. I’ve recently warmed up to The Golden Age of Hip Hop with acts like Eric B. & Rakim.
- Literature: I mostly read English/Victorian fiction (for some reason) or non-fiction about Medieval England (woo, Dan Jones!), the World Wars, and anything about movies. Favourites from fiction include these books: Jane Eyre, Wives and Daughters, Villette, North and South, Emma, The Woman in White, Persuasion, and the outlier, Ella Enchanted.
- TV: Here are some favourites: The Kids in the Hall (mandatory for a Canadian), Mad Men, and Futurama.
