Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For PokĂ©mon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the PokĂ©mon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the PokĂ©mon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a PokĂ©mon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

What other poltegeists are in the pantheon/gods who have interacted with poltegeists?

Peeves, God of Poltergeists (Peevsie, Peevesy)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/peeveswu.png
His appearance in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
  • House: Ghosts (House of Undead)
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His loudly-colored clothes
  • Theme Song: Peeves' Chase
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  • Portfolio: Poltergeist (not a ghost), Embodiment Of Adolescent Stress, Jerkass, Troll, Lives To Trick People For The Lulz, Willing To Fight For Hogwarts And Respects Dumbledore, Intangibility and Invisibility
  • Domains: Spirits, School, Trickery, Pranks, Mischief
  • Allies: Fred and George Weasley, Albus Dumbledore, Discord, the Grand United Alliance of Chaos, Gengar, Rotom, the Flying Dutchman, Mr Mxyzptlk, Bugs Bunny, Theodore Jasper Detweiler
  • Enemies: ARGUS FILCH, Dolores Umbridge, Voldemort and his Death Eaters, YHVH and the Grand United Alliance of Law, Yuuki Terumi, Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, Denzel Crocker, Agatha Trunchbull
  • Opposed by: Most stern teachers like Seymour Skinner
  • Annoyed by: The Ghostbusters, Jack Fenton
  • Avoided by: Carol Anne Freeling
  • Peeves the Poltergeist is an apparition that is bound and emerged at the beginning of Hogwarts, born from collective adolescent stress and student mischief. Classified as a poltergeist, he's the trickster of the school and likes to cause pranks and general mischief. Argus Filch despises him and has tried to get Peeves from the school, but it never works.
  • Didn't show up in the movies, and was mad about being left out. Thus Peeves demanded he be given some attention in the massive fan crossover that is the Trope Pantheon, where he tends to cause mischief in the House of School. He picked a video game adaptation for his avatar because he looks far more dashing in that form.
  • Important to remember; he's a poltergeist, not a ghost. Ghosts were humans once, while he is amortal; never a living being, and will never die(though if Hogwarts is destroyed it might destroy him). He's just considered one for convenience. He's annoyed that Jack Fenton and the Ghostbusters go after him, though Peeves has been informed that outside of the world of Harry Potter, ghosts have a lot of parameters so he stays in the house.
  • Peeves' ascension was met with dread by Carol Anne Freeling because she was a victim of a poltergeist haunting and kidnapping her. However Peeves isn't malicious, merely a prankster and doesn't wish to harm her. She still would rather stay away from him anyway.
  • While Mr Crocker is obsessed with FAIRIES!, he flat out hates Peeves the Poltergeist. So does the Trunchbull. Though to be fair to Peeves, they often bring it on themselves. Professional teachers are merely annoyed and frustrated by Peeves. Seymour Skinner refuses to let himself be in a point of weakness to Peeves, which entertains him as a possible challenge. Interestingly Peeves is on good terms Dumbledore despite the mischief he causes.
  • Sure Peeves isn't a real ghost, at least by the standards of his universe, but that doesn't stop him hanging out with Gengar, Rotom and the Flying Dutchman. This comes down to their mischievous nature. Because Hogwarts isn't too technologically advanced Rotom serves as a learning experience in how to mess around with technology. Also while he's not into the scaring field, he likes what the Dutchman can pull and how fear can be used to troll people.
  • A pain in the ass to the GUAL. As a chaotic prankster spirit, Peeves considers them an anathema and YHVH the biggest killjoy in the multiverse. Most agree with him on the "YHVH is a killjoy" assessment. When not causing mischief in the House of School, he causes mischief in the GUAL to their eternal frustration; Death Is Cheap or no, you can't kill something that was never alive.
  • The GUAC has welcomed Peeves into their ranks. Peeves isn't interested in their loftier ambitions, but does appreciate the chaos they represent and the venue of mischief. Mainly it's his continual annoyance and heckling of the GUAL that has him serve as their ally.
  • A chaotic spirit, Peeves has a kinship with Discord due to being a more powerful spirit of chaos. And then there's Mr Mxyzptlk, who Peeves is in awe for his chaotic games with the Man of Steel. He requested to be given a small percentage of Mxy's unbridled power to pull off pranks on a universal scale, however Mxy turned it down as he refuses even a tiny chance of repeating what happened last time
  • Peeves was rather impressed by the trickery Bugs Bunny was able to pull off, and has joined him to have some fun. Cue a lot of pity going towards Elmer Fudd for this, and Yosemite Sam yelling that his bullets do diddly squat to Peeves. He likes T.J as well, what with being the prince of pranks. Still, despite being a prankster and jerk, Peeves stands for Hogwarts and fought alongside them against Voldemort and the Death Eaters. He also finds Yuuki Terumi and his trolling to be incredibly despicable and going way too far.

The Serpent of Slytherin, Goddess of Basilisks

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/10697286.jpg
In the books
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/basilisk2png.png
In the films
  • House: Fantastical Beasts (House of Beast)
  • Intermediate Goddess
  • Symbol: The Slytherin logo imposed over one of her teeth
  • Theme Song: Dueling The Basilisk
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Portfolio: Ax-Crazy Feathered Basilisk, Undying Loyalty To The Heir Of Slytherin, The Paralyzer, Snakes Are Sinister, Female King Of The Serpents, Being Female, Poisonous Person, Her Teeth Are Used To Destroy Horcruxes, Referred To As An "It", The Dreaded, Deadly Gaze
  • Domains: Basilisks, Paralyzing, Venom, Monsters
  • Interests: Babidi, Caesar Clown
  • Allies: Lord Voldemort (and to a lesser extent, Voldemort's allies), Lesale Deathbringer, The Lernean Hydra
  • Enemies: All heroic deities of the Harry Potter series (Harry Potter on top of the list), "half-bloods and muggle-born", Ho-oh, the Phoenix (DotA) Oberyn Martell, Finn the Human, Samurai Jack, SCP-682, Akame, Medusa (Fate/Stay Night), Shinji Matou, Amalthea, Princess Celestial and Luna, Toph
  • Fears: The Weeping Angels, SCP-173, SCP-096, Apophis, Johnny Blaze, Ghatanathoa, Chanticleer
  • Feared by: Kaa
  • The basilisk. A serpentine beast first created by Herpo the Foul, born when a toad hatches a chicken egg. This monster was left by Salazar Slytherin in order to get rid of muggleborns he felt were a threat. The creature waited for Slytherin's heir, which came in the form of his descendant Tom Marvolo Riddle aka Lord Voldemort. His first horcrux contained a living memory of his teenage self, who would try to use the Serpent of Slytherin to do his bidding and eliminate half-bloods and muggle-born students.
  • The Serpent of Slytherin tends to keep to herself, serving as the servant of Lord Voldemort. He was overjoyed to meet the basilisk in his modern form, but most frustrated learning her venom was used to destroy horcruxes. Ironically, Herpo the Foul was also the creator of the first horcrux. One of the other reasons the Serpent of Slytherin keeps to herself is not a single sentence she speaks doesn't involve murder, blood or killing. She's been crawling across the House of Magic to purge her master's enemies.
  • Her plan to exterminate those her master finds inferiors led to her paralyzing and killing Shinji Matou, which got the attention of Medusa. She doesn't miss him at all, but is wary of such a monster being loose. Her own petrifying sight would likely work on the Serpent of Slytherin, and vice versa. And it's not something the beast wants.
  • Frustrated at the fact that post-mortem her venom was used against her master. She has decided to go after anyone who would dare try to harvest her venom for their own ends, leading to her to hunt down Akame and Oberyn Martell. Ironically she's not fond of the House of Toxicity, although she is a point of interest for the gods there anyway. Caesar Clown would love to use her as the basis for a Devil Fruit as part of his own plans. He thinks he may have immunity to her paralyzing look in his ghost form, but as even ghosts are somewhat affected he's over-reaching himself.
  • Has a couple friends in the pantheon, for what's it worth. Mainly Lesale Deathbringer and the Learnean Hydra. They're extremely toxic serpentine beings, and the closest creatures that Slytherin's Monster can understand. Interestingly for as much of a ferocious beast that she is, she is terrified of Apophis for being far more destructive and far worse a serpent than her. As the basilisk is The Dreaded, this speaks miles about the Hated One.
  • Doesn't care for Finn the Human, for being a heroic swordsman. Or Jack for much of the same reason. She's worried their blades will take her out, as she left the mortal realm through the sword of Godric Gryffindor. The Serpent of Slytherin wants to avoid deities who specialize in Eye Scream as well, since that played a critical role in her defeat. Despises phoenixes too, as Fawkes the phoenix was the one who blinded her.
  • Babidi was interested in Slytherin's Monster. He doesn't need to make eye contact to brainwash people and she is plenty evil, so he hopes to have a powerful servant. However he also considers her master a more useful ally than rival, at least for now. Kaa wishes that he could hypnotize her, but given her Deadly Gaze this would be suicide and her fears the basilisk.
  • The deadly gaze of the basilisk doesn't work on SCP-173 or the Weeping Angels, what with them already being made of stone/stone-like material. And her venom has no effect either. She's basically screwed the moment she looks away from them, leading to her being terrified of them. SCP-096 and SCP-682 are affected, however the latter can adapt and the former is so determined being petrified won't stop it. She knows to try and stay away from the latter, but the former won't stop hunting her down and that terrifies her. Her own glare is impotent against the blind as well, so Toph can fight her off.
  • Got a serious taste of her own medicine when accidentally glancing at Ghatanathoa's horrific visage, mummifying her while still alive. Voldemort went out for unicorn blood to heal his monster. Slytherin's Monster has grown a fear of both the Great Old One, and Johnny Blaze. The latter is highly unlikely to be affected by her gaze, and his Death Glare would be devastating on her. Hilariously Harry Potter basilisks have a fear of rooster crowing as it is fatal for their kind, making Chanticleer one of her dire enemies.

So, I've watched Toy Story 4, and I think a rework is in order given that Woody parts ways with Buzz and the rest of Bonnie's toys. Since, removing him from the Pantheon won't be possible since he's a main character, how about adding Bo Peep, her Sheep, Giggle Mc Dimples, Duke Caboom, and Ducky and Bunny to the cast in addition to Forky?

I'm not doing it, though. I got my hands full with finishing the Big MLP Rework, watching Mazinger Z, and reading Etrian Odyssey SSLPs, and I was advised to take a sabbatical. Which I'm probably not doing that well.

[up] I'll be abstaining on that. While I do agree that the Toy Story Cast is in need of getting some refinement, the new additions may prove very taxing. I think it's best to see what others think about as well.

I feel like Marlowe looks to be good enough. Still, suggestions are welcome.

  • Barrow is a small, incredibly isolated town on the northern side of Alaska. Because of its location, Barrow tends to experience a month-long Polar Night, where there is no daylight for that much period of time. So, one can wonder what's the worst that can happen. Well, turns out someone proclaims to the town that "They" are coming. "They", as it turns out are a group of vampires led by Marlowe Roderick. Learning of the Polar-Night, he and his coven waste no time upon first night, attacking and brutally slaughtering anyone that happened to get in their way. In time, they took over Barrow for approximately 30 Days of Night, searching for whatever survivors they could.
    • Marlowe led the vampires during his plunder and had the upper hand. Unfortunately for him, his presence did not sit well with the Vampire's ruler, Vicente, especially considering the fact that Marlowe was violating the prospect of vampires being a secret. Angry, Vicente arrived in Barrow and challenged Marlowe to a duel. Unfortunately for him, Marlowe was defeated and slaughtered, prompting Vicente to take up leadership.
    • In another continuity, Marlowe had no competition and was able to stay in Barrow up until the very end of the Polar Night. His death came about at the hands of a survivor, Eben Olemaun, who was forced to take an injection via vampire blood to convert himself so that he could be in even shape against him.
  • Regardless, Marlowe did manage to make his way around the shedding of his formerly (im)mortal coil. The destination he was to reach was the Pantheon, where he was surrounded by what looked to be a deathly field under a shadowy, yet illuminating night. He was in the House of Undead. Alongside him were his coven, who approached him with snarls and hisses, positively anticipating their reunion. Reassuming leadership, Marlowe marched his way to parts unknown, now ready to strike the Pantheon.
  • The sort of vampire Marlowe (and by extension, his coven) is is meant to have some unique traits that distinguish himself from other vampires. For one, there are some similarities, such as eerily pale white skin and an insatiable taste of blood. However, these vampires might be some of the scariest and most uncompromising; each and every single one of them have sociopathic traits and retain a sense of modicum thinking, alongside having a pair of big, soulless black eyes. These vampires are also insanely durable by the species's kind; physical force does very little to deter them and they are fast and strong. Another frightening factor is their own blood; contact with it is quick to convert a human into a vampire and even a slight cut or nibble from them is enough to do the deed.
    • Another thing to highlight their otherworldly nature is their way of communication. Marlowe and his vampire pack growl, hiss, bark and sneer like voracious wolves. It highlights their more bestial and feral nature compared to the other Pantheonic vampires. That said, they are capable of human speech, but their language seems to be unknown and indecipherable as of now. Some can understand their language, if only because they're Omniglots.
    • However, even with all of these impressive skills, these vampires are not invincible. If anything, they may be the ones that are most susceptible to light. An ultraviolet light wave can sear a vampire horribly and even a small ounce of direct sunlight is enough to disintegrate them into dust. Regardless, it's an effective counter to what Marlowe's vampirekind are capable of.
  • Marlowe and the type of vampire he and his coven are have created quite the dreadful reputation around those familiar with the Undead. The aforementioned reasons were enough of a notice to describe the formidable force and feral nature of these creatures. Furthermore, they look absolutely terrifying. A pair of fangs? How about a mouthful of them, akin to a shark. The worst part is Marlowe's residing temple isn't even in the House of Undead. Many have suggested finding a way to kill or at least quarantine them so that they could no longer pose a threat. Unfortunately, Marlowe and his vampire pack are relentless.
  • Given that the vampires like him tend to be secretive in nature, Marlowe had to adapt quickly once he realized that his race is basically common knowledge in the Pantheon. He joined the Grand United Alliance of Destruction so that he could provide himself and his coven with better shelter and resources, plus the alliance is filled to the brim with malevolent undead. Situated in the GUAD Black Hammer, Nekron seeks promise in Marlowe's kind, thanks to their ability to very quickly convert those they manage to make attacking contact with.
  • Kiritsugu Emiya gets a bad vibe whenever he hears about Marlowe. This stems from the fact that when he was a child, his town was struck by a virus-like plague that caused the infected to turn into vampires, which was caused by his father, no less. As a result, Kiritsugu is very wary about how Marlowe's group is capable of converting the attacked into a vampire with just a scratch and will put no stops in combating them, especially considering that the attack on Barrow eerily reminds Kiritsugu of his doomed childhood.
  • Being an evil undead obviously doesn't give Marlowe an easy time in finding allies. Settra of the Tomb Kings hates vampires in general and sees no argument in opposing Marlowe, something which isn't really arguable. The Belmonts and Joestar families, particularly Simon and Jonathan respectively are well known in their battles against vampires and have dedicated themselves in stopping Marlowe. As for the vampire himself, while the Belmonts are certainly no pushover, Jonathan and Joseph Joestar have him uncharacteristically worried, This is because Jonathan and Joseph's use of Hamon revolves around energy based on sunlight and even by vampire standards, Marlowe and his kind are especially weak against it.
  • Of course, there's Buffy Summers, who initially saw Marlowe as another vampire to deal with. However, hearing about what he did to Barrow did shock Buffy somewhat before resolving to still fight against the vampire. Ever since then, Buffy and Marlowe have traded blows against one other, with both often tying against one another, either because Buffy's friends are always there to support her or Marlowe had the GUAD to back him up.
  • While he's not obviously a zombie, Chris Redfield considers Marlowe to be rather similar in some ways, especially considering the vampire's attacks and blood being capable of forced conversion with the slightest ounce. In some cases, Marlowe's vampires might be worse; unlike the zombies Chris deals with, these vampires have enough rational thinking and are willing to forcibly convert or kill their victims if need be. Chris's many allies, particularly his sister Claire, Leon and Jill have taken preparations in dealing with Marlowe. They could only hope the vampire suddenly gets the attention of Albert Wesker.
  • Due to his exaggerated anathema towards sunlight, Marlowe and his coven stay away from the Light and Brightness Sub-House as far as they can. Additionally, Marlowe also tends to avoid confrontation against Superman, considering he's someone who's literally powered by the sun and there was once a case where a vampire was disintegrated into dust for simply biting the Man of Steel. He could only hope the hero somehow uses up all his power and is left weakened without any sunlight to recharge him, but that opportunity seems to be next-to-impossible.
    • Meridia herself has a very low opinion of Marlowe if mainly because she considers the Undead in general to be a scourge that needs to be eradicated. Marlowe, however, prefers to keep his distance from her, mainly because the Daedric Prince happens to represent light and Marlowe doesn't want to risk getting eviscerated by Meridia's mere presence. There's also creations and followers of Meridia, such as the Auroran Daedra and the Purified who themselves embody light in some way. This has made Marlowe and his pack irritated seeing as they are appropriate counters who have the vampires' greatest weakness as part of their biology.
  • Regarding vampires, Count Orlok was pretty delighted to hear of the savagery and feral nature of Marlowe and his coven, eagerly allowing for amicable meetups and planning on how to attack and stalk their prey. Other vampires like Arcueid Brunestud and Eric Brooks vehemently oppose him, considering that Marlowe sees humans as nothing else other than cattle to be feasted upon and Marlowe himself was very perplexed and confused to see how some vampires were able to get along, even make friendships with humans.
  • Evil vampires like two of the ascended Draculas and Dio Brando are keen in enlisting Marlowe's coven into their services. Original!Dracula can get along with Marlowe thanks to their animalistic ferocity, though Castlevania!Dracula and Dio expect some lawful approaches, which Marlowe and his pack don't seem to follow. They seem to be more concerned about themselves than someone else's goals, which makes working with him sometimes difficult. That said, Marlowe can come off as impressionable at rare points, which Dio appreciates as Marlowe does this for extra sadism. He is interested in the Pillar Men due to their interesting abilities and their Commonality Connection with their weaknesses sunlight (except Kars), but the four of them don't have much to detail regarding Marlowe, considering that his vampirekind may be too savage and animalistic to be considered working together with.
    • Of the Von Carstein vampires, Konrad was the easiest preference, given that Marlowe's coven was the perfect vampire group to employ regarding settlement invasions and attacks, with Konrad being very impressed by how Marlowe was able to take over a town and embody such brutality afterwards. Mannfred will work with Marlowe should their ends meet but like Castlevania!Dracula and Dio, his ambitious desires are often at opposition against Marlowe's more simplistic needs. Vlad, however, sees him contemptuously, thinking that Marlowe is not fit to be an ally of his and that having him under his service would damage his reputation, like how Konrad did it beforehand.
  • In his home universe, there exists different breeds of vampires, one of which happen to be very insect-like that are considered "ancient" and feed on other vampires as prey. While it is unknown if this sorts of variation exists in the Pantheon, but Marlowe and his pack have gotten wary hearing about such a creature. If it's not them, then maybe there can be something else in the Pantheon that hunts vampires for sustenance. Only time will tell...
It took us centuries to make them believe that we are no more than just bad dreams. We should give them no reason to suspect.

[up]Okay, nice.
About Ace, the trope isn't even in his character sheet, and while his death is a tragedy (because he's executed for being the son of Gol D. Roger after a life of having to live up to his legacy/being hunted and hated because of it), he's not particularly presented as more "pure" than some other characters of the series.

  • It's common for schools to have a blackboard with chalk to write and draw on. While teachers use it to write down the lessons of the day, students love to to doodle whatever comes into their imagination. But eventually, those drawings will have to be erased, never to be seen again except in memory. But what if they still linger around in another way? Enter Rudy Tabootie, a young boy with a creative imagination and a passion for drawing. While in detention after angering his cartoon-hating teacher Mr. Wilter, he discovers the White Lightning chalk, which has magical properties, such as creating a portal to an alternate dimension. He discovers the ChalkZone, a place where all chalk drawings that have existed live as sentient beings or otherwise tangible objects. He meets and befriends Snap White, a Chalkzoner that he created when he was younger, and keeps the existence of ChalkZone a secret from anyone else except for his best friend and crush Penny Snachez. He and his friends would go on to have many adventures within the ChalkZone while meeting the colorful denizens of the land.
  • It was an ordinary day at the House of School, as some students were fooling around after class by doodling on a chalkboard. One student drew a circle, which suddenly manifested as a portal connected to an alternate dimension. Curious about the dimension, some students decided to hop in to check it out. There, they find out that everything in the dimension is made of chalk. They soon discovered a notably non-chalky boy talking to a chalky person in blue clothes and approached them. The boy was very alarmed, as he was convinced that word of the ChalkZone didn't leak out, plus he had never seen these people before. Thankfully, some of the teachers came by to defuse the situation, as they were sent to investigate the portal and the missing students. After reprimanding the students, the teachers talked to Rudy and Snap, who explained what the ChalkZone is, and took him to the Court of the Gods, who bestowed them the title of Living Drawings. Rudy and Snap are glad that Mr. Wilter still doesn't know about the ChalkZone, which they've feared when they saw the students.
  • Ever since Rusy and Snap ascended, the ChalkZone has been opened for access. The ChalkZone can be accessed by drawing portals with the White Lightning chalk (of which thre are a few copies lying around in Rudy's temple) on any surface fit for chalk drawings. With the portal opened, any deity can come in to see the wild, wacky world of ChalkZone and its inhabitants. Ever since the ChalkZone was open to the Pantheon, chalk drawings that originated from the Pantheon can be found residing in the ChalkZone. These drawings range from simple stick drawings to detailed giants to malicious scribblies, prompting Rudy to fend off against them once in a while. Trying to tamper with the ChalkZone in anyway will get you thrown out of the dimension and receive a temporary ban, which can be permanent if it keeps persisting.
  • Given that the ChalkZone is home to many living drawings, Rudy and Snap would end up meeting other living drawings residing in the Pantheon. While not chalk drawings, Ramo, Lola, and Quill are living painting people, whose society was divided based on the completeness of the individual. The trio worked hard to get rid of the caste system by finishing the painting they reside in after visiting the other paintings. Rudy and Snap were quite impressed with their tale and became fast friends with them, with the duo allowed to enter their painting and the painting trio being allowed to enter the ChalkZone and make new aquaintances there. They also get along with Eko, whose has the ability to give life to her drawings, as evidenced by her partner Kazu. The two duos like to hang out with each other and express their creativity. On the other hand, the duo heavily oppose Drawicia, a living painting who aims to turn the whole world into a painting, fearing that she could invade the ChalkZone and convert it into a twisted painting of her own image.
    • Of special note is Maxwell, who the duo encountered when he was in the middle of writing. Like Rudy, he uses a magic tool to craft anything he can imagine, but instead of drawing things with chalk, he writes down thing down on his magic notebook. The duo were impressed with Maxwell's creativity and application with his notebook, plus Rudy likes having a new buddy in creating things out of the blue. The two boys often hang out to create new things with their respective tools, even combining their brains to forge a spectacular creation. Maxwell is also able to create life with his notebook to Snap's delight, so he likes to play with Maxwell's creations.
    • Judge Doom became furious when he heard of the ChalkZone vowing to use the dip to destroy the dimension once and for all. Rudy and Snap are understandably horrified by this, especially since he's a toon who's turned on his kind, and vowed to protect the ChalkZone from him. On the other hand, they get along with Roger and Jessica Rabbit, who are toons that happen to coexist alongside humanity, which amazes Rudy and Snap, wondering if it's possible to have further connection between the ChalkZone and the real world though they are saddened by the tensions between flesh and paint in their world.
    • However, the duo have something of an awkward relationship with Spongebob Squarepants because of an incident the latter went through. She created a crude copy of himself with a magic pencil, dubbed "DoodleBob", as a part of a prank he was planning to unleash on Squidward, Unfortunately, DoodleBob stole the pencil and began wreaking havoc around Bikini Bottom, stopped only by trapping him in a page. Spongebob and friends later had to deal with him again, as they recreated him within a doodle dimension, forcing them to duke it out with the doodle copy and eventually defeated him by banishing him to space with a balloon. Because of these incidents, Spongebob is a bit wary of living drawings, and while Rudy and Snap understand that such a bad first impression can sour your opinions, they still want to hang out with him without any ensuing awkwardness.
  • By certain means, Snap can be considered a fictional character that came to life, so Rudy and Snap would eventually meet up with other fictional characters come to life such as the Crimson Chin, Meteora Österreich , and Altair. The duo get along with the Crimson Chin and Meteora, and both groups have taken interest in each other's worlds. Rudy and Snap in particular like the Crimson Chin for being a superhero character, as Snap has a superhero-inspired design. They were intrigued that Meteora and Altair were summoned alongside other fictional characters to fight each other, plus a bit saddened that she couldn't return to her home world due to having to send the rest home, and staying in the real world made her powers fade away, though they're glad she's okay with everything in the end. With Altair, they understand her grief over her creators death, but think that her trying to kill everyone out of her grief wasn't really a good idea. Still, her creator was revived in a sense, which made her finally calm down, so they're glad she's not that angry anymore. They are considerably much more wary of Xingo, a fictional character that causes much destruction in his wake due to functioning on cartoon logic. They aren't really fans of being on the receiving ends of his pranks. They are also uneasy around Bendy, given that the circumstances regarding his arrival to the real world was... disasterous to say the least, so they keep their distance from him in case he turns to his beast form.
    • While Ungalo may not be a character that jumped out from a book, he does have the power to bring them to the real world. His Stand, Bohemian Rhapsody, is able to summon fictional characters to the real world, but if someone sees a character they connect to, they are then forced to live out the character's story, often with unpleasant results, which likely would end in the unfortunate victim's death. Needless to say, the two aren't really friends of him because of his horrifying power and the implications it could have on the ChalkZone, plus his crude demeanor keeps turning them away from him.
  • Snap could be considered by some to be Rudy's imaginary friends, only that he is real and tangible. The two did meet up with actual, tangible imaginary friends, namely Bloo, Wilt, Eduardo, and Coco. Snap is glad to meet up with new friends while Rudy sees them as not to dissimilar to how the residents of ChalkZone look like. Of all of them, Snap interacts with Bloo a lot, being blue-coloured creations of young boys and do consider each other as friends, even if they have a rather belligerent relationship.
  • As Rudy often uses his creativity to solve problems within the ChalkZone, as well as the ChalkZone itself being fueled by the creative minds of humanity, Rudy and Snap are appropriately horrified by the existence of the Nothing, an eldritch entity whose presence reduces its surroundings to nothing and saps away the creativity and imagination of living beings. The duo fear that if the Nothing reaches their world, the destruction it would leave in its wake will destroy the ChalkZone due to the lack of imagination, to say nothing if it does enter the ChalkZone. The two vow to prevent the Nothing from causing more destruction, and since it can be destroyed with a sufficiently imaginative mind, Rudy became one of its strongest opposers, ready to banish it with his magic chalk.
  • As mentioned prior, Rudy's greatest asset is his imagination, which he uses to solve problems within and out of the ChalkZone, his chalk summoning whatever tools he can think of to save the day. This lead the duo to meet up with other deities who weaponize their creativity and imagination, such as the Ressha Sentai ToQger, Hal Jordan, and Kyle Rainer. The ToQger are powered by their imagination, transforming into superheroes to defend the the Rainbow Line, a magic railway network powered by imagination, while the Lantern Rings have the ability to construct anything that the wielder desires, with Hal and Kyle using them to fight evil. The superheroes respect Rudy for his craftiness and responsibility with his imagination, while Rudy and Snap are excited to meet real superheroes in the Pantheon. Speaking about creativity, that happens to be one of the domains that Sheogorath lords over, though the duo are hesitant to meet him, given his chaotic, unstable nature, though the Daedric Prince does like the kid's imagination and wants him to try out his cheese in an offer of kinship.
  • Rudy Tabootie met up with Nate Adams, another young boy who ended up discovering a whole new world of strange, quirky creatures with a special object. In Nate's case, he found the Yo-Kai Watch, a magical watch that allows him to see, interact, and befriend the mischievous Yo-Kai. The two boys quickly became friends as they related closely with each other's experiences. Nate does feel a bit envious of Rudy lacking his averageness complex, but is interested in seeing the denizens of ChalkZone, while Rudy wants to see the quirky Yo-Kai for himself.
  • With Snap being designed around a superhero aesthetic, he and Rudy would end up visiting the House of Heroes. The two positively geeked out over the presence of actual superheroes in the Pantheon, and quickly rushed up to them to ask them many questions about their adventures. The members of the House like the aformentioned Hal Jordan respect Rudy for using his creativity and imagination to solve problems within ChalkZone, while Snap hopes that one day he can get real superpowers of his own.
  • By the way, Snap HATES being called a Plucky Comic Relief, and will get upset if someone calls him that, even if he does get into situations a Plucky Comic Relief gets into often. Because of this, he's greatly annoyed by Jar Jar Binks for being the a very obvious example of the archetype, and refuses to associate with him. Certain groups like the Itazura Griefers and individuals like the Goose love to mess with him despite his protests, and find amusement in calling him a Plucky Comic Relief over and over.

[up][up][up][up] If we stay within One Piece, i think the crowner would be Queen Otohime, the Queen of fishmen who advocated for pacifism and peace between human and merfolk even to her deathbed, that there was no need for violence. She's openly considered as such In-Universe, and the most flagrant example that comes to mind was when a World Noble shipwrecked trying to pursue his fleeing slaves, where she ordered him rescued, protected, and helped back to the surface.

[up][up][up][up][up] There's a lot of examples to go through TBH. Plus we'll have to see what others think of that suggestion or if there's a better alternative.
