Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

So, if I'm to ascend the Persona 2 cast, should the profile be about the eight, or do I add in the P1 carryovers in the game? It's not like there'll be a trope for the St. Hermelin High students that can easily fit someone else.

Jodie Holmes and Aiden, Goddess and God of Psychic Links (Jodie: Elizabeth North, Jodie Gray | Aiden: The Entity)

Jodie
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aiden_7.png
The closest possible interpretation of Aiden
  • Lesser Goddess (Jodie), borderline Intermediate God (Aiden)
  • Symbol: The link that connects them
  • Theme Song: Jodie's Suite
  • Alignment: Neutral Good (Jodie), Chaotic Neutral (Aiden)
  • Portfolio: Psychic Link, Creepy Twins, Two Siblings In One, Synchronization, Initial Chained Heat
  • Domain(s): Psychics, Siblings, Trauma
  • Allies: Chuck Bartowski, Ariadne, Kitty Pryde, Totoro
  • Odd Friendship: The Doom Slayer
  • Enemies: Scott Shelby, any who wish to exploit her, those who mess with the afterlife
  • While investigating various worlds, the Court found a modern-ish Earth place infested with spirits and located a certain woman and her spirit companion. After concluding that it was probably safe to provide assistance, they did so, and once the matter was settled, Jodie was invited to the Pantheon. Naturally, being tied to her via a Psychic Link, this invitation was also extended to Aiden.
  • Thankfully for Jodie, there are a lot more people in the Pantheon who are understanding and/or more tolerant of her powers (to Aiden however, that depends on them and him). Having been faced with prejudice, abuse, and exploitation at every turn in her world with the only exceptions counted on just one hand, this is a relief for her.
    • That said, due to the story of her life, Aiden tends to be slow to trust anybody who isn't Jodie, and can get pretty violent. However, as long as Jodie is not being antagonized, he'll behave. Most of the time.
  • It's not known what happened at the end of her story, like who she ended up with, if anyone at all, before the epilogue, and she is not willing to answer.
  • With all the other supernatural entities in the Pantheon, there would inevitably be those who can actually see and interact with Aiden (who is seen as a floating torso with glowing eyes, and no defining features), much to his and Jodie's surprise. Unfortunately, this also means he has to watch out for himself now, not just Jodie, especially if threats can harm him directly. It's something they're still getting used to.
    • It's known that incapacitating Jodie will reduce Aiden's capacity to act, but it's not known what would happen if the vice-versa situation occurs. Probably Jodie's (limited) powers being reduced.
    • In some aspects, Aiden has been compared to a Stand, minus the tangibility, having a separate will of his own, and still being invulnerable by means other than breaking his link to Jodie. Then again, there have been many Stands that don't follow this pattern.
  • Jodie's powers (via Aiden) consist of moving objects, albeit only via one-time pointed bursts of force, as well as possessing people. Aiden himself can also cure wounds and even alcoholic poisoning, create barriers strong enough to repel bullets and freaking SWAT trucks, and has other forms of telekinesis fine enough to write on glass or sand.
  • Jodie has experience with playing the guitar and sometimes plays a tune on occasion.
  • Carrie White empathizes with them given how much crap Jodie's experienced. What's baffling however is when some idiots continued offending Jodie despite being fully aware of Aiden's existence, his powers, and his general attitude. Jodie however had difficulty returning the sentiment, given Carrie had gone on a full rampage and killer. Regarding the bullies at the birthday party, she most likely would've gotten vengeance, but she wouldn't have wanted them dead, even if Aiden might've.
  • Has disdain for organizations like the CIA due to the measures they resorted to in her world for the sake of their interests. Chuck resents that idea, but understands the feeling, given he's been forced to work for them, and how many times he's had to get himself in danger to take down various terrorists due to his INTERSECT. Besides, he's freelance now. Well, technically, he's in the GUAG and so is she, and they're more understanding overall.
    • Speaking of them, any who desire to control the afterlife, or any dimension filled with uncountable entities that can barely be contained let alone combated, will draw a lot of enmity from them, given that's what the CIA in their world tried to do, all for the sake of science. This resulted in an Odd Friendship with Doomguy, who's had similar issues with the UAC. That said, there is discomfort, mostly from Aiden, due to his lack of respect for authority or personal space, not to mention his experience with the supernatural and his track record with demons.
    • Merging two different worlds is also another reprehensible act in their eyes.
    • Speaking of afterlife, there's also any deliberate means to keep someone from going there by way of forced coma. That's what their world's CIA did with their birth mother, and planned on doing the same to Jodie.
  • Many are baffled by the actions of Jodie's bullies when they locked her in a closet under a staircase for gifting an Edgar Allan Poe book. If nothing else, it was probably at least worth a lot of money due to its rarity. And an offhand or insincere "thank you" would've sufficed.
  • Having been handed over to the government by her adoptive parents at the age of 8, she has issues with those who ditch their children and those who "acquire" children for their own purposes this way.
  • Having possessed a doll of him in her childhood, Jodie got a pleasant surprise when she saw Totoro in the flesh one rainy night (Aiden alerted her to his presence, given he's usually Invisible to Adults) by a bus stop. Wanting some comfort before returning to her temple, she shuffled to his side and snuggled against his fur, which Totoro was okay with, and so was Aiden. They stayed together even as their transport arrived, until they eventually had to part ways at their respective Houses.
  • Having seen a newspaper of the Origami Killer during her travels, and now knowing who he is thanks to his identity being common knowledge in the Pantheon, she's come to despise Scott Shelby for his crimes.
  • If she's ever given a mission that involves taking down a target, it's best that she is not lied to to about the target's intentions and goals if they prove contrary to the truth. She doesn't like to have a repeat incident of her mission in the Republic of Kazirstan. Especially if it turns out to be a peacekeeper being "portrayed" as a warlord.
  • Due to having gone through similar hardships, not to mention something unexplainable between them, Jodie has formed a friendship with Ellie. Although she's is wary of Joel, she appreciates that he genuinely cares about Ellie. As for that rescue that probably cost humanity a chance to cure the Cordyceps virus in their world, given her own experiences with being experimented on, she doesn't know what to say in response to that.

As for why, well, that is the whole point of the show. Leo has been given the All-Seeing Eyes of the Gods, which let him see the true nature of things. It's his sthick. From knowing the True Names of vampires, to seeing monsters and entites that aren't there, pretty much nothing can hide from Leo's eyes.

Oh, sorry about that! But yeah, that's why I propose Leo for this. No one else seems to have it, and given how Leo and his Eyes make a focal point of the show, especially in Season 1, it's why I proposed him.

[up][up]I don't see it being reserved in the sandbox section (unless those that didn't update their sandboxes actually reserved it), aside from Ferot but we all know it's because they're informing us if the trope is free.

[up]Yes, but you should wait for other tropers for their approval or something. I'm actually okay with him, unless he actually losed his ability in the manga since I heard that the manga actually ended.

Repost of Kalrow.

Kalrow, God of Levitation (Kalrow of the Seven Deities, The Great Tactician)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Kalrow1_129.png
  • Intermediate God (potentially capable of becoming a Greater God)
  • Symbol: His staff
  • Theme Song: Fear God
  • Alignment: Lawful Evil
  • Portfolio: Levitation, Beam Spam, Beard of Evil, Brilliant, but Lazy, Cutscene Boss, Dirty Coward, Evil Genius, Evil Old Folks, Mad Scientist, The Strategist, The Unfought, Too Important to Walk
  • Domain(s): Levitation, Sloth, Strategy
  • Allies: Deus, Wyzen, Augus, Sergei, Dr. XXX, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Gunter Prozen, Sloth the Indolent
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Yasha
  • Enemies: Asura, Mithra, Chakravartin, Chun-Li, Robin
  • Kalrow was originally one of the Eight Guardian Generals in service to the Emperor of Shinkoku to protect the Realm of Shinkoku and Gaea from the dark forces of the Gohma, his mantra affinity is Sloth. Despite his status and rank, Kalrow generally stays out of the fighting, instead preferring to organize the battle plans of the fleets. Kalrow was the mastermind behind General Deus' coup d'etat, which culminated in the assassination of the Emperor and the banishment and death of General Asura, who was blamed as the cause. Afterwards, the Eight Guardian Generals were disbanded and transformed into the Seven Deities. 12,500 years later, Kalrow and his fleet engaged Asura in battle after they had tried to collect the souls of the people in a village that Asura was defending. Ultimately, Asura was too powerful and managed to wipe out Kalrow's entire fleet. Kalrow managed to use an escape pod to flee, but Asura managed to grab on it. Kalrow begged for his life, but Asura crushed the escaped pod and Kalrow with it. Kalrow was later reincarnated into the modern world and got in trouble with the police by speeding on his Segway-esque vehicle.
  • Kalrow originally ascended into the pantheon as part of Deus' plan to reunite the Seven Deities, he was made the God of Evil Geniuses. However, once further scrutiny had been given for each and every one of them, Kalrow was removed along with Wyzen, Olga and Sergei.
  • Although he had lost his title, Kalrow managed to re-ascend into the pantheon as the High Priest of Dr. XXX, the new holder of Kalrow's former title. However, Deus, who remained unperturbed by his setback, attempted to ascend the remaining Seven Deities once again and managed to once again ascend Kalrow as a god into the pantheon, this time as the God of Levitation.
  • Following his re-ascension, Kalrow remains on good terms with Dr. XXX. Although he's rather annoyed by the Doctor's hamminess, Kalrow nonetheless respects his skills and mastery in manipulation.
  • Kalrow has managed to befriend Grand Admiral Thrawn and the two share a mutual respect for each others' respective talents. Their shared belief in performing Necessary Evil in order to achieve their goals further strengthened their cooperation. They occasionally collaborate with each other when making plans in order to ensure that they are truly perfect.
  • Kalrow also quickly befriended Gunter Prozen, who had similarly betrayed his Emperor and prefers to send lackeys to do his dirty work for him. Kalrow was quite happy to finally meet a kindred spirit and the two frequently help each other to plot against their respective enemies.
  • Kalrow quickly gained the trust and obedience of Sloth the Indolent, who is perfectly satisfied to work for someone who similarly appreciates laziness. Kalrow is quite content to have a weak-willed but otherwise powerful lackey to order around.
  • Many were confused as to why Kalrow has a particularly strong dislike of Chun-Li specifically. She herself eventually revealed that she was the police officer who apprehended him for speeding on his Segway-esque vehicle. Although he's admitted that his grudge against her is petty, Kalrow continues to resent her nonetheless.
  • Due to having been the one who devised the plan to kill the Emperor of Shinkoku, Kalrow quickly became enemies with Robin, who was abhored by his disloyalty and betrayal of the Emperor in order to eventually create "paradise". Kalrow, on the other hand, views Robin as a fool for his/her unwillingness to take more drastic measures in order to create a better world.
  • Members of the House of Swords have shown an interest in testing Kalrow's swordsmanship skills after having heard that he's a master swordsman, even though he's never actually been seen displaying such skills.
  • "With no plan, there is no victory. The age of beasts has long since ended."

Veronica, Goddess of Bitterness Hiding Sadness (Emblian Princess)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/veronica_feh.png
  • Lesser Goddess
  • Symbol: Insignia of Embla and her personal tome, Élivágar
  • Theme Music: Event Theme, Battle Theme
  • Alignment: Lawful Evil
  • Portfolio: Magical Princess of Embla, Dark Magical Girl, Little Miss Badass, Wants to Have People To Be With, Voices Telling Her To Kill, Mascot Villain, Adored by Her People
  • Domains: Emotions, Princesses, Magic
  • Allies: Xander
  • Enemies: Majority of the cast of Fire Emblem
  • Jealous of: Asuka
  • Veronica is the princess of Emblian Empire, one of kingdoms in Zenith what connects many world together. While the kingdom was in peace under her stepmother's rule, she decided one day to try to follow her father's legacy and to wage war in other worlds and take them over. However, her motives are harder to pin down...
  • Those who are defeated by her and her army can be bound by a "contract", which will force them to do whatever Veronica commands them to do. While it might seem like brainwashing, the subjects have otherwise free will to act on, just that if she tells them to do something, they have to do it even against their own will. The only way to break out of it is for someone else to beat them.
  • However, her harsh behaviour forwards others seems to hide that of a lonely girl. A girl who is jealous of others who are more fortunate than her. A girl who is all alone in the world with hardly no one to call a friend or family. A girl who might not want to fight but is compelled by a voice in her head to "Kill Askr". A voice belonging to a wicked dragon god which her bloodline descended from.
  • Even though her actions seem tyrannical, she is adored by her people. Which helps her to bolster her wide army composed of anything between warriors, knights, cavaliers, mages, healers, thieves, archers, pegasus knights and recently with wyvern knights and manaketes. And just to show how powerful her can be, she has been consistently conquering Fire Emblem worlds and taking down even main lords, no matter how strong they are (though sometimes she might have other methods).
  • Is jealous of Asuka. The idea that she can just make friends with people if she can fight them while she has to outright force people to be on her side annoys her to no end. She wants to personally kill her to let out her anger.
  • While Xander wouldn't say he approves of her actions, he does stand by her side, saying that she understands her in some ways and hopes that she can obtain true happiness.
  • Has a personal tome called Élivágar, which casts some kind of green magic thing what can inflict the Panic status, which reverts stats boosts into penalties.
  • Wants to make it clear that outside of "killing Askr", she wants to conquer, not destroy. A ruler's duty is to the people, something which she had to think about for a while. As such, she would preferably not work for those who would just want to destroy if all possible.
  • Is honestly confused how popular she seems in the outer realms. As in one of most popular FE females. She can't quite grasp what she has done to gain so much positive attention.
    • As a note, "Brave" Veronica is mutually exclusive to regular Veronica, as she comes from a separate timeline. They have similar background, but she is hardly concerned what the other Veronica does as it's not her problem.
  • Please do not talk about the time she dressed up as a bunny. She only did it because her brother also did it.

Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!

So I just have two suggestions for new editions to the pantheon:

Rhoda Penmark “Film/The Bad Seed”-Goddess of Enfant Terrible( I noticed that position wasn’t taken yet) because I’ve noticed that she’s often regarded as the most famous example of this trope

The Charmed Ones/ The Halliwell Sisters “Series/Charmed”- Goddesses of Personal Gain Hurts seeing as they are the trope makers for this trope as well as exemplify this throughout their show

Edit: Sorry for potholing it so late I got busy and yes I am new here, I just joined a little while back.

Another Edit: Hey sorry so my potholing didn’t work out that well(as you can clearly see). My computer’s not working so I tried with my phone but I’m gonna have it updated and potholed soon, definitely before the week is up.

Leon Montana and Mathilda Lando, Representatives of Impromptu Trainers and Aspiring Fighters

  • Domains: Assassination, Family, Training
  • Allies: Arya Stark, Vito and Michael Corleone, Gunvolt, Amelie Poulain, Remy
  • Enemies: Manny Pardo, Tony Montana, The Son, The Incubators
  • Leon is an extremely competent hitman who nonetheless has a very humane side. One day he was compelled to take in a troubled child named Mathilda after the rest of her family were massacred by DEA agents led by a corrupt and unhinged cop named Stansfield, her father being involved in the illegal drug business. Most of her family was abusive, but Mathilda adored her little brother and she wanted revenge for his death. So she begged Leon to teach her how to be an assassin so she could do it herself. Leon was reluctant but gave in, also to protect Mathilda as the DEA agents were after her. Leon taught Mathilda the ropes of being an assassin and they gradually developed a peculiar father-and-daughter relationship. Eventually they'd cross paths with Stansfield again and Leon sacrificed himself to save Mathilda, but not without taking Stansfield with him.
  • One of the big mafia bosses, Vito Corleone, heard all about Leon and Mathilda's story and acknowledged Leon as a real man for protecting his family (even if a found one) the way he did. In addition, Vito thought Leon could be extremely useful to him with his skills and recommended that the Main House have him and Mathilda ascend. Because Leon served as a mentor to Mathilda in the art of killing at her request, they were given the trope Teach Me How To Fight. Upon ascension, Leon was immediately confronted with Vito and his son Michael, and the two explained the situation and about the Pantheon and that they expected him to take on any hits they requested until they considered the debt repaid. Leon wasn't really rattled by this, but he did have one caveat: "No women, no kids", which the mafia dons accepted as reasonable enough. When they finally left Leon to his devices, the hitman proceeded to have a tearful reunion with Mathilda and he apologized for not keeping his promise to come back until now, making a new promise that this time they'd stay together and really be a family.
  • Leon keeps on teaching Mathilda various things about assassination and self-defense, but this is mainly because the Pantheon is a very dangerous place. Leon would highly prefer that Mathilda did not follow in his footsteps. He's quite happy to send her to Elysium Academy so she'll tag along with him on his business as little as possible, and so she can get what he didn't, which is an education, as well as find new interests. So far, though, Mathilda is rather bored at school and has some trouble making friends given how most kids are put off by her odd behavior for her age.
  • The first job Vito gave Leon was to take out Tony Montana, as the gangster was acting crazier than usual and causing some sort of drug-related trouble at the House of Quirks. Drugs are something that really sets off Vito, who decided that enough was enough and told Leon to take him out to see if that would calm him down in the next life. Tony was also feeling paranoid, so Leon had more trouble than usual getting inside his mansion/temple as Tony did his best to put up resistance, but ultimately Leon succeeded in taking him out. Now Tony is looking into hiring some powerful, willing people to kill Leon in revenge.
  • Leon didn't interact with much of anyone in the mortal world given his occupation, but in the Pantheon he has found a few like-minded people in his area of business. One of them is Gunvolt, who's also a hitman who chose to take in a defenseless, innocent girl. Leon isn't much of a conversationist, but both he and the Azure Striker can see that they each have a good heart despite having a profession most anyone would consider evil, and so they back each other up when their goals coincide.
  • Another one is Arya Stark, who surprised Leon with how she'd been training in the business of killing since she was even younger than Mathilda. Leon only hopes she can settle down into a more normal life once the multiple crises in her world have settled. Mathilda herself looks up to Arya, as the existence of someone like her gives her confidence that she can become an assassin too. This troubles Leon even further, but he takes comfort on the fact that Arya seems to have her heart in the right place and truly cares for her family.
  • Leon and Mathilda have been warned that, given Mathilda's problems, she might be targeted by the Incubators to make a contract with them and become a magical girl on their terms. Mathilda was all too ready to become an assassin for the sake of her little brother, so the Magical Girl Guardians tried to make it very clear why associating with the Incubators might seem alluring but is actually a very, very bad idea so she wouldn't be tempted. Mathilda's response was "Who'd be stupid enough?", but they're not sure that's not lip service. At any rate, Leon won't tolerate the Incubators for the danger that they pose to Mathilda and generally preying on young girls' weaknesses, so he kills them on sight.
  • Due to Mathilda's family getting massacred by the Killer Cop Stansfield, who on top of that didn't like at all that she managed to escape that fate, Leon and Mathilda really despise Manny Pardo, a similarly crazy cop. Given Leon is an outlaw, Manny would personally enjoy gunning him and Mathilda down, both for the glory of taking down such a powerful assassin and his little apprentice and to avenge Stansfield, who'd be one of his followers.
  • Leon is surprisingly a big fan of classic cinema and he takes Mathilda with him to catch a movie at the House of Theater whenever he can. These outings, and Leon's habit of turning around to see other people's reactions (which Mathilda finds embarrassing), eventually got the two acquainted with Amelie Poulain, who's very fond of going to the cinema and watching people's reactions to it as well. They've taken to sitting next to each other, although Leon and Amelie don't talk much on account of his awkwardness and her shyness, but they seem to understand each other well even without words. And Mathilda can fill the silence for all three of them all by herself.
  • At one point, Amelie had to ask Leon to intervene in a problem her current employer, a cook known as Remy, was going through. For some reason, an unhinged Russian mafioso known only as The Son set his sights on Remy's restaurant La Ratatouille and was making a mess of the place for not being willing to pay him for his "protection". So Leon and Mathilda went to dine in the restaurant one night to see what's up, and while they were surprised that Remy was in fact a rat, that didn't change the fact that they'd help him and Amelie. When The Son came in and started making a disturbance and threatening the workers, Leon killed a few of his henchmen and told him he'd be next if he ever entered the restaurant again. Remy and Amelie are very grateful for this and he and Mathilda are always welcome in La Ratatouille since then.

[up][tup]

I'm not quite done yet, but I have one [tup] for Eredin and two for F.A.N.G.

F.A.N.G., Unholy Patron of Long Sleeves (The Great F.A.N.G., The Cunning Trickster, The Fang of the Nguuhao)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sinttulo_1.jpg
  • Potential Houses:
  • Theme Song: F.A.N.G.'s Theme

  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Portfolio: The Best Assassin In The Nguuhao Cartel, Agent Peacock, Asskicking Equals Authority, Badass Bookworm, Bad Boss/Control Freak, Beware the Silly Ones, Complete Whackjob But Serves As The Number Two Guy In Shadaloo, Cloudcuckoolander, Confusion Fu, Creepy Long Fingers, The Evil Counterpart To Gen, Hand Hiding Sleeves, Nice Hat, Poisonous Person, Weak, but Skilled, Sadist
  • Domains: Poisons, Assassination, Mad Scientists
  • Superior: M. Bison
  • Banned From: Health and Diseases
  • Allies:
  • Rival Assassins: Talia Al Ghul, Sandra Wu-San/Lady Shiva, Yoh Hinomura and Emu Hino
  • Enemies:
  • Worthy Opponent: Gen, Oberyn Martell
  • Potential Test Subjects: The subhouse of Genetic Engineering, Miranda Lawson, Leona Heidern, Johnny Cage, Cassie Cage, Kazuya Mishima, Jin Kazama, Jin Kazama.
  • With Sagat's departure from Shadaloo, there was a spot open in regards to being one of Shadaloo's Shitenno (Four Heavenly Kings). And that spot was filled in by the a rather odd fellow. A rail-thin Chinese man with a peculiar personality was more than happy to take the last spot of Bison's kings. It was fitting that he was also the last of the four to ascend. But make no mistake, F.A.N.G. is just as deadly as any other member of the group.
  • No one knows what F.A.N.G. means. Second, you don't pronounce his name as 'fang.' His name sounds almost like 'fawn,' only with a short 'n' and a silent 'g.'
  • When Rashid gained word of his ascension, the ususally cheeky Arab man grew silent, walked all the way to F.A.N.G.'s temple and immediately started to wail on the assassin. He has yet to forgive the poison wielder for killing his friend. The assault was a wake-up call for F.A.N.G., who realized he will have to be more discreet in order to avoid Rashid.
  • With F.A.N.G.'s arrival, M. Bison finally has Shadaloo at full strength in the Pantheon. As in his world, he promptly placed him second in his group. The other Street Fighter deities worry that the dictator will now be more brazen in his plans.
    • Vega and Balrog were not very happy to find out that F.A.N.G. has joined the Pantheon. He's still sore over the fact that despite having the tenure as one of the senior Four Kings, that this upstart becomes the number two guy in Shadaloo. This applies to the Pantheon as well. It doesn't help that F.A.N.G. treats them with as much disdain as the other two. To F.A.N.G., it was a miracle that the organization lasted as long as it did with those two idiots as Bison's henchmen. It is only a matter of time before tensions will boil over with those three.
    • Outside of Shadaloo, there is little love from the Street Fighter combatants. Most regard his reliance on poisons and evasive combatant as cowardly. Sagat thought Bison had to be desperate to bring him into the organization. Other former members of the organization have a deeper disdain, especially Cammy when she found out they were still mind controlling dolls.
    • While Gen is not among those under his observation, it was clear that F.A.N.G. drew a lot of inspiration from the kung-fu master. The assassin admits he was indeed fond of his fighting style.
  • Was happy as a pig in a slop upon discovering that there was a House of Toxins. When he's not performing his duties as one of Shadaloo's Kings, F.A.N.G. can be seen there, researching.
  • When asked what was the most delightful thing about ascending into the Pantheon, he gave out a list of all the potential subjects to capture and experiment on. Indeed, there are many in this realm with misunderstood powers and abilities and F.A.N.G. seeks to gain data from all of them.
    • His ascension brought about a rare sight; the entire subhouse of Genetic Engineering agreed to protect themselves in face F.A.N.G. decided to capture. They also agreed to ban him from the premises. The only person who allows him into his temple is Professor Hojo who offered his services in exchange for applying him subjects for experimentation. It was no surprise that F.A.N.G. would be one of the few gods to compliment his works.
    • There is no shortage of fighters with unusual genes that he is interested in testing. He made hits after the Kazama family in order to test the Devil Gene, He was rebuffed by all three fighters, but that only made him even more interested in them. Next he managed to capture Cassie Cage, intrigued by her god-resisting aura. Luckily, Johnny and Sonja tracked him down and defeated the assassin. Lastly, he sought after Leona to see if her Riot Blood could be genetically passed down. In her case, she has made it difficult for him to track her.
    • Next, he set his eyes on Miranda, wanting to see if her engineering was indeed as perfect as she was lead to believe. While she proved to be resistant to his poisons and fought him off, he did succeed in extracting some DNA from her blood.
  • There is one person who appreciates the power of poison. Oberyn challenged him to a duel in a bid to test the man's skills. The two ended up poisoning each other and almost dying in the process. Once they were out of the hospital, Oberyn complimented on his skills. To which F.A.N.G. decided to let him live alive for now. Not that many people like his fighting style after all.
  • Initially thought that Lady Shiva didn't deserve her place in the Pantheon... until he found out what she did to Killer Croc when he challenged her to earn favor in the Pantheon. Now, he is interested to learn how a normal looking woman became one of the deadliest assassins in the Pantheon.

Eredin Bréacc Glas, Unholy King of The Wild Hunt

  • Allies:
  • Enemies: Geralt of Riven, Triss Merigold, Yennefer, Anna Henrietta, Hawke, Commander Shepard, Frollo and Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf, Raistlin Majere, Harry Potter, Dumbledore, Rand Al'Thor
  • Opposes: The God Emperor of Mankind
  • Opposed by: Every human in the Pantheon, good or evil, Merrill, Lor'themar Theron, Varsuuvius
  • In Pursuit of: Ciri
  • Comflicting Opinion: The Warden and the Inquisitor
  • It was a day Geralt had feared ever since he and Ciri set foot in the Pantheon, even though he knew it would happen eventually. The signs were happening all the same; first sightings of spectral emanations were forming throughout the Pantheon. Then there were the random killings of followers. All of that accumulated into that faithful day. The day when he heard the rumbling of horses signalling the arrival of undead wraiths. That was the day Eredin Bréacc Glas had returned, ready to enact his revenge upon Geralt.
    • The Witcher immediately amassed a great number of his allies shortly afterwards to confront the threat. What followed was a brutal brawl between his forces and that of The Wild Hunt. The fighting was fierce and ferocious. Just when Geralt was about to be slain, reinforcements from the GUAG as well as that of the Emperor of Mankind were able to contain the threat. Not used to such a powerful army, Eredin retreated to a new location. Fortunately for him, he gained a large enough following to stay within the Pantheon.
    • Ciri was understandably furious as well as a little shaken about the return of her persistent foe. This is a group that has pursued her through countless worlds, killing everyone she had loved before finding Geralt. She does not want the same thing to happen to any of her friends she has met in the Pantheon. At least now she has Geralt, Yennefer and Triss at her side as well.
  • The Wild Hunt is merely a nickname of their group. As a matter of fact, Eredin leads an elven kingdom called Aen Elle. At the height of their power, they were capable of capturing large swaths of the multiverse, killing an enslaving those who came against them. The group heard that Ciri was the key to stop the White Frost, the one thing that could put a halt to their plans. As a result, they hunted her down through countless universes. Nowadays, they aren't quite up to full strength. Still, Eredin has a formidable arm that can give many deities trouble.
    • The group is among the most frightening armies in the Pantheon... but they are neither wraiths nor undead. They merely wear bone-like armor to install fear into their victims. It helps that up to Geralt's last stand they seemed to be an invincible army.
    • The reveal that the Wild Hunt were elves was one of the biggest black eyes that the God of High Elves endured during his time. The fact that he was their patron during their reign of destruction did not sit well with him. He revoked their membership, but by then the damage was done. Now that the Wild Hunt has ascended, Lor'themar swears to put an end to their march. Other elven deities have supported him in their opposition.
  • One of their main targets has been human enclaves, a fact that enrages the God Emperor of Mankind. Eredin confirms this is intentional; the mere fact that humans are the majority of high beings they face is an affront to the group. As such, the Wild Hunt tends to deliver the most suffering to humans. It's little wonder that no sane human want anything to do with them.
  • Rivals in any other sense, the deities from Thedas were willing to set their difference aside to take on this new threat. Eredin holds Hawke to great disdain as well as that world's treatment of elves, but was intrigued that the Warden and Inquisitor could be an elf themselves.
