Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

As an FYI, I promise I am aware of the Eda being Stan's ex wife stuff! I just didn't include him in the initial post for brevity'd sake since I couldn't make up my mind on what that interaction label would be!

Edit: Just so I remember them (I am low on sleep), could someone link the previous non Grunkle Stan suggestions for the Clawthornes and Camila? Please and thank you! Busy packing ATM.

Here's Columbo's rework draft. An officer who puts on a silly façade as a means of throwing off criminals and getting them to admit to their crimes and has a keen sense of awareness of what's going on. He also apparently served in the Korean War prior to being an officer.

Looking for suggestions for interactions, including other people (criminals in particular) who have a similar personality as he does.

Lieutenant Columbo, God of Exiting One-Liners

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/colombo_falk_1129.jpg
  • Demigod
  • Symbol: A rumpled beige trenchcoat, cigar and faded green Peugeot 203 convertible
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: Obfuscating Stupidity, Reverse Whodunnit, Spotting the Thread and Pulling It, Getting Wrongdoers to Trip Themselves Up, Bunny-Ears Lawyer, Hyper-Awareness
  • Domains: Law, Personality, Wit
  • Allies: Patrick Jane, Perry Mason, Miss Marple, Judge Dredd, Shawn Spencer, John Crichton, Droopy, Miles Edgeworth
  • Enemies: Manfred von Karma, Professor Moriarty, Jack the Ripper, Hannibal Lecter, Revolver Ocelot, Norma Desmond
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Dirty Harry
  • Admired by: Jotaro Kujo
  • A crime has taken place and the suspect has done everything they can to ensure that they can get away with it, but eventually they will be caught. At first glance, Lieutenant Columbo doesn’t appear and act like he’d be the detective for the case, but beneath that clownish exterior is a keen mind that helps him get the job done. Like many investigators, Columbo talks to the suspect about what’s going on, but there are always some inconsistencies to what the suspect is saying and Columbo is noticing around them, leading him to question what actually happened and the suspect getting more frustrated with him. No matter what the suspect tries to do to throw Columbo off, he’ll find a way around those tricks and get that crook arrested.
  • There was a murder case that had many stumped in the Pantheon thanks to the crook having meticulously ensured that there was no evidence that could be traced back to them. Lieutenant Columbo, who decided to visit the Pantheon on vacation, ended up getting involved with the case and decided to look around for anything that could be of help to get the crook captured. There were a few things that didn’t add up for him after looking around and talking to the crook about what happened, so Columbo decided to spend his vacation trying to piece things together. After a few more conversations, the crook lost their cool and ended up admitting to their crimes, getting them arrested. As for Columbo, he did find the Pantheon to be interesting and that it wouldn’t be the only time he would visit the place, though it soon became apparent such visits would no longer be a vacation for him and it ended up being part of his investigative work.
  • While Miles Edgeworth is known for being a prosecutor in court, he has done plenty of investigative work outside the courtroom and had the help of some friends in that regard, with one of them being Detective Dick Gumshoe. As he did some investigation one day, he met Columbo and noticed plenty of visual similarities between Gumshoe and the Lieutenant in terms of costume and demeanor. It didn’t take long for Edgeworth to notice that Columbo was very perceptive about how some crimes played out and the motivation for such. Working with Edgeworth has also shown Columbo just how much more complicated some crimes can be and how far some are willing to go in order to get what they want. Edgeworth still found Columbo’s insight to be valuable in finding closure to certain cases and the two have made for a highly effective investigative duo.
  • Columbo has a pet dog that sometimes accompanies him on his investigations. He ended up taking a liking towards Droopy for not just being a basset hound like his pet, but also sharing a similar kind of shabby exterior that hides plenty of smarts that can surprise their foes. Even if Droopy does have his moments of getting physical when confronting his enemies unlike Columbo, the dog has done some detective work in his spare time. The lieutenant has let Droopy do some criminal investigation with him, often telling his partners that it’s another dog much like his own that can help in finding criminals. With how dangerous some of these criminals in the Pantheon are, Columbo will need Droopy’s help to get through those tight spots where brainpower won’t be enough.
  • Jotaro Kujo got much of his perceptiveness from watching a lot of Columbo as a kid and it’s proven effective in finding flaws in the villains he’s fighting against. As popular as Columbo is among others thanks to how he catches crooks, the lieutenant was surprised to learn that his work was a direct and positive influence on someone. Jotaro was just as surprised to learn that the lieutenant he used to watch on TV was a real person in the Pantheon following a chance meeting with him. It was a brief meeting since Jotaro was busy with other matters, but he gave Columbo his thanks for teaching him what he needed to know about finding what makes a bad guy fall apart. Columbo appreciated the sentiment and from a glance, could tell that Jotaro was a really interesting fellow in more ways than one.

[up] Another suggestion: Gru is the adoptive father of three girls who raised them by himself for a while before marrying Lucy.

On the subject of Gru, can I have permission to rework him? He has Reformed, but Not Tamed, but his profile is pretty mediocre and could use some touching up. The reason he should keep the trope is because he was a villain who changed his ways shortly after adopting three girls, but even then, he still has some jerky moments and is still prone to action.

[down]forgot about that movie lol. Good to know.

  • A.I: NIMUE (non-ascended)
  • Ship mechanic: 90s Dude
  • Lord Vyce has had many allies in his pursuit of the Entity, but all of them came and gone. The only thing left was his powerful spaceship, a complicated vehicle with material from multiple universes. It utilizes something known as the Forge, which can convert any material nearby to repair the ship. For times unknown it was under his possession, until he was defeated by Linkara and his allies. Many of the ship's abilities were locked without Vyce but it still a formidable ship, and one of Linkara's best assets against the often bizarre enemies he deals with. He's dubbed the ship Comicron-1, and has occasionally made comic book reviews on the ship.
  • Currently located in Earth orbit, making up Linkara's "Arsenal of Freedom", and being observed by the US government as a matter of security. Much to the original owner's protest, Linkara has allowed Comicron-1 to show up in the Vehicles Depot. However you need his formal permission before using the ship. As an unabashed nerd he was pretty excited to see it in the same location as the Batmobile and the DeLorean Time Machine. Unfortunately for him this also meant it was in the same Hall of the USG Ishimura. The fear of Necromorphs getting onto the Comicron-1 has him tempted to let Lord Vyce open up some protective functions, but he doesn't think it's worth the risk after Vyce broke their Enemy Mine as he refused to accept the Entity was dead and still argues he's needed to "protect" the multiverse.
  • As it is, Comicron-1 isn't able to travel to other universes like it was under Lord Vyce. It can go as far enough as Jupiter's orbit, though presumably it can't got FTL. Linkara hasn't tried to at least. Given the cosmic threats he once merely reviewed are in the Trope Pantheon like him, such as Planet Remina, he wishes its full capabilities aren't locked. Petitions for helping the ship reach its full capabilities have been sent to Team Lightyear and the Green Lantern Corps. No-one who knows how to improve it has managed to make a permanent upgrade. Currently he'll mulling over whether it'd be easier to just find one of Nebby's species and use them for multiversal travel.
Linkara: "Damnit, why do I have to deal with this comic book trope!"
  • Almost certainly has an FTL drive, though Linkara has never demonstrated it in part because he's never had to go that far into space, the furthest he's gone being Jupiter's orbit which doesn't require him to exceed c to reach at the time he went there. Vyce has stated that yes it does, that should be obvious, but hasn't gone into more detail and alludes to it being one of the higher functions he refuses to unlock until he gets control of the ship again. Professor Farnsworth muses that as it is it's no good if he wants to use it to make interstellar deliveries, but Linkara doesn't care about that since among other reasons he's financially stable. Rick Sanchez regularly roasts Comicron-1 as looking like a nerd's wet dream or something. His ship is a simple UFO but it can travel interstellar and interdimensional distances with ease and comes equipped with a variety of weapons. While Rick has a point, Linkara refuses to rise to the bait.
  • In a way, Comicron-1 could count as a deity and a treasure, as it is piloted by an A.I called NIMUE. She does double duty performing security, and looks kind of like HAL 9000. However unlike him, she performs as intended and rolls her avatar's eyes at her physical design being similar to it. However like everyone else if she wants to be a deity she has to apply and she can exist independently of Comicron-1 if need be. Since the ship itself is part of the Trope Pantheon she is able to communicate to other Spaceship Girl AIs, such as EDI and Cortana. She doesn't feel the need to make a humanoid avatar, at least right now, but she does have a perceived feminine avatar in digital space. Don't try to override her, especially with your own consciousness; Vyce barely survived her retaliation. Unfortunately beings like SKYNET and Sigma think they have a good shot at succeeding where she failed, and they might be right to think so.
    • Since Linkara's favorite film is Camelot, some think that's where he got the name for the AI. Merlin has been pondering visiting Comicron-1 with that in knowledge.
  • Has a scout ship called the Vigilant which can be modified into a Space Fighter, and an intended second model called Comicron-2 after Comicron-1 ended up out of commission on the moon. Well, had, Vyce ended up taking Comicron-2 to kill the Entity only to fall into the collapsing Pocket Dimension meant for the now dead for real Entity. Unfortunately, for Vyce, he didn't come back with it, but he muses its design is inferior due to being a Glass Cannon. The Grand United Alliance of Good reached out to Linkara after entering and winning the recent Tournament of Champions saying they want to support. The absolute Toku fan that he is, the GUAG members he gets support of the most from are the Power Rangers. He wants to figure out how to let the Comicron-1 has a mecha mode but the design of the ship is enough of a Black Box no progress in doing so has been made.
  • You have to be invited to enter Comicron-1. The Nostalgia Critic was kind of annoyed he doesn't have this badass ship, having to settle to make his house a spaceship, and due to out of universe events Linkara isn't enthused about inviting him. He might think differently if he or the Angry Video Game Nerd want to help him deal with his or mutual enemies. Villains almost never get an invitation even if Linkara's a fan of them for security reasons. One of the reasons why it's "almost" is because Snowflame can show up since he's kind of roomies with the reviewer (and he thinks he's a personal Ensemble Dark Horse). He initially allowed superheroes to come in unannounced but grew sick of Batman trying to make contingency plans for Comicron-1 so from now on they need an invitation. Blue Beetle and Booster Gold are common visitors.
  • Though villains almost never get an invitation, there are blatant perma-ban lists. Complete Monsters, of course they're not invited. Those that push more into existential threat territory for him/being very OP, also never allowed entry. He doesn't want SKYNET or any of its loyal agents due to experience with Mechakara. However he has also permanently banned Amanda Waller despite her being more an occasional/ambiguous villain. Why? Simple; she keeps trying to shut his show down and seize his assets for the US government due to not trusting him, or making her own contingencies in case he goes rogue. Being a comic book fan, he feels those contingencies would be at best questionable.
Linkara: You know I've read "JLA: Tower of Babel right? I've seen how a full on superhero's contingencies can go belly-up, so I'm sure as hell not trusting you! Also FYI, Batman was meant to be seen in the wrong."
  • Thanks to the holodeck, Linkara is able to make Comicron-1 his home away from home. The ship utilizes repurposed Cybermats made by Linkara's tech expert Dr Linksano. No, not Dr Insano, but his brother from another universenote . Linkara's old nemesis was pretty pissed off to see even after a decade he still has ownership of Lord Vyce's ship and he plans to take control of the ship for himself. Lionel Hutz attempted to make some sort of lawsuit over these "borrowed assets", but the crew of the USS Enterprise roll their eyes at a harmless Shout-Out. Unfortunately the Cybermen had another idea, in that they are trying to control the repurposed Cybermats in order to take the ship for themselves.
  • SCP-2578-D has been communicating with Comicron-1 after noticing its presence in Earth orbit. The Kill Sat stated that it sees even greater potential for heroism than Linkara thinks, as he could use the ship to intimidate dictators into surrendering power and allowing more freedom. Linkara tacitly refuses as he believes this would be Jumping Off the Slippery Slope; he had a major reality call after being called out for his unheroic actions and he witnessed his hologram clone to plan to use it against Marvel and DC editors to force them to improve the quality of comic books. He's a comic-loving nerd and he's not going to indulge in the behavior of characters like The Authority. The SCPs Hall of Military Technology has been observing the ship for its potential. Stan Smith has tried to exploit his CIA status to go on the ship under the pretense of the US government monitoring it, but Linkara saw right through it and kicked him off since he would rather avoid any of his 'verse's craziness on his ship...he has enough weirdness on his own.

Saw an amazing animatic of Silent Hill 2 and it hit me that Pink Is Erotic has not been taken as of late, so is it possible for Maria to get the trope? She dresses in pink and works as a stripper but she's mostly there to be a test for James, being a walking manifestation of his sexual desires and of "Mary", not her. She's honestly a tragic figure forced to play in Silent Hill's game to test James and she gets no such thing as a happy ending cause Silent Hill never gives happy endings.

[down][down]Yes. Pink blouse, pink leopard print skirt and even hot pink tips in her hair.

  • Avoid: The House of Weather
  • Admiral Razorbeard is the short-tempered leader of the Robo-Pirates and one of many threats the Glade of Dreams had faced, while also being one of its most ruthless. Leading an army that specializes in plundering planets and enslaving its inhabitants, he launched a devastating invasion on the Glade, managing to severely weaken the world's magic before swiftly capture a massive chunk of the world's residents, filling the remaining landscape with mechanized building and Robo-Pirates in the process. It got so bad that Rayman, the world's happy-go-lucky hero, was also captured and put into a depression over how he failed. Things were going well for the Admiral... right up until Rayman got his powers back and escaped. Razorbeard tried his best to stop Rayman from reawakening the world's creator, Polokus, by sending most of his men after him, but not only did Rayman end up rescuing a majority of the people Razorbeard enslaved, he ultimately woke up Polokus, who swiftly destroyed every Robo-Pirate on the world's surface and left only his airborne units left. While Razorbeard put up a good fight with his mech, The Grolgoth, Rayman managed to best him and destroy his ship, leaving Razorbeard to flee in an escape pod and never be seen again.
  • At least, until some time after Rayman ended up in The Pantheon. After Razorbeard escaped, he had spent years literally rebuilding his army and resources, plotting to have revenge on Rayman and his friends for his embarrassing defeat. After regaining his army, he figured out that Rayman was now visiting a realm known as the Pantheon and thus gained an interest in capturing it for himself. Thus, he launched an invasion on The Pantheon so he can enslave the realm and spite Rayman. Fortunately, while Razorbeard's forces were nothing to laugh at, The Pantheon was much more prepared to deal with invasions like this, especially since Rayman had foresaw Razorbeard attempting revenge and told the realm to prepare for such an event. As such, the invasion was warded off and Razorbeard ended up fleeing to the Pantheon's atmosphere, though this time with his men intact. Razorbeard's whole stunt ended up impressing a number of evil deities and landed him a title for the realm, with Razorbeard still plotting to take over the Pantheon and finally get his revenge.
  • Naturally, pretty much every good Rayman deity hates his guts for what he did to The Glade, even those that weren't involved with it like Betilla and the Princesses. Rather wisely, Razorbeard realized that Rayman now had much, much more allies than he did before, and the first thing he did was locate if any of the Limbless Wonder's enemies made it up. Sure enough, he found quite a few, including Mr. Dark, a wizard that tried to throw the Glade into chaos, Andre, a Dark Lum and leader of the Hoodlums, and the Magician, former ally turned schemer out to take over the Glade. Razorbeard offered an alliance with them in exchange for both revenge on Rayman and being spared from slavery, and they all agreed to his terms. He generally helps them out in their schemes by lending them his Robo-Pirates as extra muscle, as while Razorbeard can hold himself in a scrap he prefers to stay in his ship and observe from a distance. He still has the Grolgoth just in case he needs to take care of things personally.
  • While Razorbeard and his men are themed after pirates, truth be told he acts more as a Galactic Conqueror than a Space Pirate, let alone a real one. While not above looting and plundering, its more "stealing a whole planet's resources" rather than "stealing gold and treasure". Still, more than a few proper Space Pirates have ended up associating with him, mostly for the pay as usual. The sociopathic Felix is one of his most employed mercs, simply for the fact that the man has nothing in the way of morals: if helping enslave a whole planet of people gets him money, than he's willing to lend a hand in exchange for a fat paycheck. That said, Razorbeard is aware of his backstabbing nature and is fully prepared to have him killed if he tries anything funny, and Felix is smart enough to know backstabbing him's an awful idea so he doesn't bother. Ridley, leader of his own band of space pirates, has been more than willing to help conquer planets in exchange for more bloodshed, which Razorbeard is more than happy to supply in the form of his enemies he really wants dead. He's also hired salvager Rayvis a few times for some extra heavy muscle, but he often has to butt heads with Rayvis's own philosophy of seeking an honorable fight, while Razorbeard would rather he just kill them already. Still, he gets results, so he isn't above calling him in to get a job done when his own men can't do it.
    • Meanwhile, pretty much every actual pirate in the Pantheon, good or bad, hates Razorbeard for the the damage he does to the environment, which needless to say would get in the way of any pirate activities. This especially goes for the benevolent Straw Hat Crew, who ended up running into a patrol of Robo-Pirates and ended up getting into a scuffle with them, proving to be much more of a hassle to deal with than they thought even when more Robo-Pirates were brought in. It all ended with Nami creating a storm cloud that rained on the pirates, who were incredibly prone to rusting and as such were wiped out quickly. Normally Razorbeard would just send his full legion to wipe them out and move on, but then he was visited by The Flying Spaghetti Monster, a eccentric but benevolent deity and self proclaimed god of pirates, who wasn't impressed by Razorbeard messing with his people and threatened to teach him a lesson the next time he messed with them, leaving afterwards. Razorbeard wasn't exactly intimidated by the flying noodle platter, but was wise enough to recognize his power and decided just to wait until he had enough resources to deal with him, then get his revenge on the Straw Hats atferwards.
  • As far as being a Galactic Conqueror goes, he's regarded by more than a few of them as a fairly good example of one, mostly regarding on how ruthless he was in taking over the Glade: he wasted no time in severely weakening their defenses before capturing a vast majority of its residents and setting up his base immediately. His rather swift and humiliating downfall is regarded as a mark against him, but he's still feared by most normal deities despite that and has earned some respect from his fellow villainous conquerors. Out of all of them, he seems to be closest to Freiza, a fellow planet-colonizing warlord who sells the planets he takes over after wiping out its inhabitants, for one simple reason: he absolutely despises anything he deems "cute" and finds Razorbeards conquest of an otherwise cheery and laid-back world hilariously cathartic. Razorbeard, figuring that having a being that can wipe out a planet on his side could be invaluable, has been seen talking with Freiza, either for business reasons or just to bond or brag about the many planets the two have conquered.
  • His method of taking over planets takes the form of terraforming it into a more mechanical dystopia where his men drain it of its resources, again taking its inhabitants prisoner while he reduces it to "space dust". He's not the only one who terraforms planets with machines, as pretty much every version of Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik has used machines to harm the environment in some way, with each varying in how extreme they are about it. They have a varying relationship with the guy, with the more evil variations happily welcoming an alliance if they get some of the planet to rule, which Razorbeard is willing to arrange, while other versions think he's far too evil and refuse to associate with him. One time, Razorbeard found out about Haltmann Enterprises, which originally was a company that invaded planets and harvested its resources, and how its former secretary turned CEO, Susie, was currently in The Pantheon, which highly intrigued him and prompted a personal visit where he asked for an alliance. Fortunately, Susie declined the offer, saying that they've stepped out of that business and weren't terraforming planets anymore. Razorbeard's response was to launch an invasion on her temple out of anger, though thankfully she was prepared and managed to fight off the invasion using her own company's resources. In either case, both Sonic and Kirby have heard of these incidents and have scuffled with Razorbeard and his army as a result, wanting to prevent the same potential fate from falling on the Pantheon.
  • Of course, considering the insane amount of damage his operations do to the environment, he's completely opposed by anyone even slightly respectful of nature. Aside from Rayman, the biggest thorn in his operations so far proved to be the Planeteers, a group of teens dedicated to protecting the environment, and Captain Planet, a guardian of nature summoned by them in times of great danger. Time and time again has an invasion been ruined by the two fighting them off, and while the Planeteers are already a hassle Captain Planet has been shown to destroy whole droves of Robo-Pirates with nary a scratch, leading to Razorbeard having to pack more garbage just to even the playing field a bit. Then there was the embarrassing incident where he and his crew seemingly found a planet ripe for a takeover, only for his fleet to be systematically taken out by the planet's own ecosystem until it was just him left, which afterwards he decided just to book it. He later found out that said planet was a sentient one named Mogo, who was part of the Green Lantern Corps, much to his fury. And then there was the time where he thought he had Rayman ambushed and on the ropes... only for his forces to be thrashed by the sudden appearance of Battra, another guardian of nature that wasn't happy about Razorbeard's shenanigans. Razorbeard still holds a grudge for his attempt at revenge being thwarted and promised to bring his Grolgoth next time for him.
    • Later, in order to combat Captain Planet and his Planeteers, Razorbeard sought out their rouges gallery, a group of environment-damaging Eco-Villains who take joy in their evil. Razorbeard approached most of them with the promise of sparing them of enslavement if they helped him in his schemes, and they ended up agreeing to his terms. That said, the group is notorious for being very hard to work with, and for the most part they keep butting heads with Razorbeard over their different goals and ideas. He's slightly more respectful of Zarm and Captain Pollution, but mostly just because they're much more powerful than the others and even Razorbeard knows pissing them off is a bad idea. Still, Razorbeard later found a much more stable alliance in the form of Hexxus, a spirit of destruction that thrives off of pollution and its destructive effects, and one good look at Razorbeard's takeover of the Glade was all Hexxus needed to be convinced to help him.
  • Despite how destructive his attack on the Glade of Dreams was and his subsequent gettaway when it fell apart, he wasn't seen much afterwards, not even getting a mention in recent years. Razorbeard has gone on record saying that he was rebuilding his army while he was away, but there are other sources giving out different information: one account says that Razorbeard and his men attempted revenge by challenging Rayman and friends to a series of footraces and minigames, complete with bringing his allegedly even eviler wife with him to even the playing field, though Razorbeard claims that no such thing happened and he doesn't remember even being married. Another was an alternate telling of another Rayman adventure, where he and his remaining crew tried to extract the Dark Lum that Globox swallowed to once again take over the Glade, and while this somewhat sounded familiar to Razorbeard, Andre doesn't seem to recall it at all. He does, however, inexplicably own statues of Razorbeard and some of his crew hidden in his lair, recreating "The Last Supper" of all paintings. Razorbeard does in fact remember stumbling upon that while visiting Andre for an alliance and still isn't sure whether to be flattered or weirded out by it.
  • If there's one consistent weakness of the Robo-Pirates, its that they can't handle water to save their life. It turns out that they very easily rust to even the tiniest bit of water and as such avoid it like the plague, something that Globox exploited when he gathered up the courage to fight them. It pretty much means that, on a rainy day, you're guaranteed to be safe from an invasion from them. Of course, in The Pantheon even this it tentative: another attempted ambush on Rayman ended with the crafty hero luring the fleet to a nearby house that was, unbeknownst to the fleet, was the house of Weather where it was constantly raining. Cue the entire fleet getting rusted over and destroyed. Naturally, the Pirates avoid the house and anything related to it like the plague. Some deities joke about how a bunch of pirates avoid water, but those usually end with Razorbeard sending a Robo-Pirate or twelve after them out of annoyance.
