Welcome to GLADIOLUS STATION. We apologize for the inconvenience in your arrival. We are QUEEN, the Artificial Intelligence in charge of ensuring the station runs efficiently.

Stellirae is a Discord-based multifandom roleplaying environment set on the Gladiolus Space Station within the Stellirae star system. Characters (dubbed Aspirants) suddenly find themselves onboard Gladiolus with the above message from the artificial intelligence QUEEN due to space-time anomalies, along with several other races who have been on the station for years, unable to return to their home planets. The aspirants must work together, alongside the station's representatives, in order to solve the mysteries of the star system and find a way back home.

From the NPC page:

Amaryllis Swallowtail is the representative of the Cassiopeia Division, previously the Hydra Division before stepping down due to some conflicting scheduling. Cassiopeia Division is responsible for all the technology within the Gladiolus Station, ranging from the VEGA, to the equipment within housing, to even programming the medical equipment so it's usable for the Serpens Division. They work in close collaboration with Divisions Auriga and Grus in particular for the sake of ensuring that the station is operating at full capabilities.

Amaryllis has been destined to work for the government ever since she was small. Both her parents (late father and current mother) have been station representatives in the past, and it only makes sense for Amaryllis to follow in their capable footsteps. Although not particularly at favor with the aspirants, Amaryllis is popular among the ala; many wouldn't even dare to doubt their capabilities as they have proven time and time again to veer on prodigy levels of hard-working.

That being said, for those not particularly acclimated to her or to ala society, Amaryllis may be a little difficult to get along with. Beyond being headstrong, Amaryllis assumes other people are somewhere around their level and know how the operation works, even if there's no way of them knowing. In addition to that, there's a degree of arrogance that Amaryllis displays within her work. Some would argue it's well earned, given that it's aided in keeping the station afloat for the past 15 years, but others, specifically those arriving within the past 7, may think that Amaryllis needs to humble herself. Either way, it's clear that they're not the type to mince words.

The Swallowtails have always been this straightforward. It only comes as a surprise to those who knew Amaryllis's company in the Ladybirds, who are much more soft-spoken by comparison.

  • Action Fashionista: They've got quite the wardrobe and yet still put some work into it.
  • Amazonian Beauty: They're quite the looker and have got some muscle.
  • Bold Explorer: Going to new, uncharted territory is part of Amaryllis's idea of supporting the station. The more ground to cover, the better. She is interested in studying new places, too.
  • The Bully: Has a tendency to pick on aspirants, especially when she feels like they're being overly aggressive or threatening.
  • Cool Kid-and-Loser Friendship / Odd Friendship: One might not expect a jock and a nerd to get along, but she and Vervain Cordulegas are apparently close, so far as them expressing open concern for Vervain and being encouraging and gentle to him in chats, despite her normally abrasive behavior.
Shuuichi: vervain-san... are you and amaryllis-san close?
Vervain: We ... Yeah, we are
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: When one is speaking to them in casual conversation in chats, they can seem quite ditzy and airheaded; a casual Amaryllis is lighthearted and friendly, after all. But you'd be better off not crossing her path - she has powerful special upgrades, and she knows how to use them, and even without them at her disposal she is fit and well trained in fist-fights and the use of firearms alike.
  • Determinator: He is stubborn. Giving up on any kind of pursuit, whether it's convincing someone to take care of themselves or to study space, is not an option for them.
  • Genius Bruiser: She's very smart and strong.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: What those who like them (particularly Forrest and Vervain) think she is.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Although not particularly nice about making that point, they're smart and when they do give advice, it's sensical.
Kokichi: omg... i'm fine that's what im saying
Amaryllis: what are your injuries? describe em to me.
    in detail.
if u dont, im gonna assume ur doing that stupid tough guy act and send someone over to where you ar
    dont test me.
you are useless to other ppl letting urself be injured ❤️
    [...]
Amaryllis: he says shuuichis gonna heal him
thats the dumbest fucking thing ive ever heard
    shuuichi literally just died
u think hes gonna be in any position to help you?
    [...]
Amaryllis: you're not taking the situation seriously so i'm beating you over the head with it. since you wanted me to before. you were the one who got on me for saying everyone would be safe. why are you doing the same when it's about you?
    Kokichi: bc i'm fine?
Amaryllis: you aren't. you're typing like you're drunk. you're clearly a mess. go to the hospital, or at least let giovanni heal you.
    [...]
Kokichi: why aren't u yelling at gio-chan he just typed hokpital
Amaryllis: because he wasn't just on a dangerous expedition. how about you stop asking stupid questions and just do what i say?
  • Minored In Ass Kicking: While primarily focused in Division Cassiopeia and, thus, in technology, she's quite a force to be reckoned with when it comes to combat. Although as of yet not directly challenged within the role-play, it's very likely given their special upgrades as well as their training that anyone who tries to challenge them might get their ass handed to them.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Types normally and with a tone completely devoid of any of the silliness/ditziness expected of them when trying to stress an important point, with all of the signature hallmarks of their typing style gone.
  • Plucky Nonbinary: Bold and optimistic, and feminine in presentation, she has a tendency to look on the bright side when facing challenges.
  • The Representative Nobody Likes: Downplayed. Not highly favored with some early aspirants (nine of them wanted her to be straight up fired), and some of the other representatives don't seem to like them, either, but a few of them respect her and think they mean well, and she's also quite popular among the ala populace.
  • Thought They Knew Already / You Didn't Ask: Pulled this during the Homeship event. Apparently, it's a recurring problem of theirs to assume others would have guessed an event would happen because they saw that as obvious.
Amaryllis: i kinda already predicted [the asteroids teleporting around the ship] would happen
    Mint: You what?
    Bulrush: AMARYLLIS?
    Vervain: Ama?
    Mint: Ama?
Amaryllis: ya? we have space-time anomalies here
    [...]
Aspirant: and you DIDN'T say anything
Mint: Then why didn't you tell us??
    [...]
Vervain: But ... they've never teleported ... asteroids before
    [...]
Amaryllis: ...bc i figured u would know? lol what do u think a space-time anomaly does
  • Tough Love: Doesn't mince words at all when giving others advice, but generally, others who know her insist she means well and is looking out for everyone.

    Bulrush
Represents Division Ursa Minor.

    Helianthus
Represents Division Grus.

    Lotus
Represents Division Perseus.

"have you considered that maybe i dont have energy to care abt things that bore me"
Voice Claim: KENN | Artwork: BANAKO

From the NPC page:

Mint A. Cataria is the representative of the Pyxis Division, Gladiolus Station’s team that is responsible for mapmaking and space travel. His main job as an Aerospace Engineer is to handle the algorithms in the station’s navigation system but he also took various other roles in the past, including piloting the spaceship to Luesera and being the standby flight controller in Vivaldi’s launch.

Mint arrived at the station 6 years ago and quickly rose up to become one of the division’s best engineers, he revamped the station’s navigation system and published a few books on the matter. Due to his declining work ethic, he had been assigned to become an assistant investigator under Forrest Hawkmoth, Hercules Division’s representative.

He was planning to quit but after the disaster that happened to Luesera, he returned to the station...determined to find out the truth behind the mystery in the Stellirae system.

  • Brilliant, but Lazy : A natural genius but due to homesickness and lack of progress in finding a way home, he stopped taking things seriously and stopped utilizing his talents.
  • Cats Are Lazy : What it says on the tin.
  • Cats Are Magic : Typical for Lueserans, he's able to draw magic runes to draw magic from nature. In fact, he used to be an inventor that specializes in researching them.
  • Mage Marksman : Doesn't usually fight but when he has to, he have a rifle and a pair of handguns. As his magic doesn't work as well outside of Luesera, he had to store them in form of magic bullets.
  • Hates the Job, Loves the Limelight : Hates being a representative but he likes the attention that he gets from the aspirants.
  • Opposites Attract : With Forrest. The reason why he was so attracted to Forrest in the first place is because they’re so different that Mint can’t figure him out.
  • Nominal Hero: He only started seriously helping the aspirants to discover what happened in Stellirae’s system after what happened to Luesera.
  • Intentional Heartbreaker : Has eight exes, doesn’t seem to have much remorse in breaking hearts and he admitted to not take most of his relationships seriously. They were more of a distraction to him.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity : He doesn’t like to be taken seriously and acted like an airhead to avoid responsibility and to mess with people...although, the line between this and his real personality is blurred at this point.
  • Smarter Than You Look : The way that he talked often made people not realize he's smart and he often gets mistaken for a Virtuoso despite being an Academician. He finds it funny.
  • Cuteness Equals Forgiveness : Admitted that he got away with more things than he should just because he's a catboy...although, the truth is, it might have more to do with him being a decent person.
  • 10-Minute Retirement: Planned to quit his job but returned to the station after the disaster in Luesera.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Downplayed. He likes to mess with people and often says that he doesn't care about morals but at the core, he's still a pretty nice and rational person.
  • Notorious Parent: Mints missing mother is actually a fugitive criminal who tried to hide it from him by pretending to be a wisp, he wrongly thought that she was just being overprotective.

    Robin
Represents Division Andromeda.

    Vervain Cordulegas
Represents Division Auriga.

District Council

    Winter Glory
My wife.

Other NPCS

    Calix Ladybird
Calix Ladybird

Division Andromeda

Calix Ladybird is a ladybug ala, part of the Andromeda Division. Not much is known about him to the aspirants as of yet, though his presence has been a constant since the group's opening, as he has an account within the VEGA chatrooms.

As there are mysteries surrounding Calix's status, those that further go into his plot thread (that have been revealed in at least a semi-public space) are marked with spoilers.
  • Ambiguous Situation: Amaryllis vaguely says that he is 'busy', but some aspirants have suspected that there is more to it. A few oddities of particular note:
    • Mint A. Cataria has never met him, despite him being marked as a representative.
    • Amaryllis has insisted that the aspirants would 'meet him soon', but has said this for a few months now.
    • He hasn't been seen in at least seven years.
  • Blue Oni: To Amaryllis's Red.
Amaryllis: i think he'd like [the aspirants meeting/befriending him]. i know i haven't gotten on best with u guys, but calix and i... we're total opposites
so if you don't like me you'll definitely like him LOL
  • Friend to All Living Things: Along with working for Division Andromeda, also implied to be able to befriend anyone.
Amaryllis: hah... is there anyone calix couldn't befriend?
  • Nice Guy: Said to be this.
Amaryllis: calix doesn't have a mean bone in his body tbh
  • Platonic Life Partner: Implied to be this to Amaryllis Swallowtail, if her positive talk about him is anything to go by.

    Clover
Clover

Division Andromeda

The former representative of Division Andromeda, and a close friend of Robin. She stepped down from her position due to being unable to balance her representative duties with her heavy farm work.

    Moonwatch

NOTE: Spoilers unmarked for Moonwatch as she is a current living Non-Player Character. Read the Elder Tree expedition thread, Catcon 2020, for her introduction.

A saoirse. Particularly notable from her other saoirse companions for being one who has become comfortable with and settled on the life of being a saoirse, which is unique for their species.
  • Grand Theft Me: Subverted. She does have this power, but she hasn't used it; she's content to stay a cat instead.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Downplayed. While never particularly evil, Moonwatch wasn't very interested in helping the aspirants... That was, until they spared some kindness and offered her tuna.

    Ragdoll Vibrare
Ragdoll Vibrare

Divisions Hydra & Aquila

A reporter residing in the Gladiolus Station. Her first appearance was in the Luesera Introduction document, and she's been somewhere in the background ever since.

To those who talk about her, she's known as being an adventurous go-getter. She arrived in the station 6 years ago along with other Deviens who were transported there. She likes being a journalist and she's demonstrated interest in staying on the station for the sake of exploring the universe along with the ala.
  • Cat Folk: Ragdoll is a Devien, a race of animal-like fairies. Ragdoll in particular resembles that of a ragdoll cat.
  • Intrepid Reporter: She's a journalist who likes to get right in there and explore while documenting.
  • Plucky Girl: She's very naturally an adventurous and optimistic spirit, charting unfamiliar territory for the sake of it.

    Ravenheart

Picrew: Feliform
A saoirse from the Elder Tree expedition thread, Catcon 2020. Spoilers have been marked for big plot reveals in-thread aside from her status as a saoirse. The leader of the saoirse group, she planned out a trap for a group of unlucky Deviens, though managed to grab some aspirants instead. Sneaky and conniving, the only love this saoirse has in her heart is for her son, Pebbleleap.
  • Bait the Dog: She's a cute little kitty at a cute cat convention. Or at least, she was, until she stole a guy's body.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: She's cute, small, and funny. She is also a remorseless body snatcher who was willing to kill several people to get her and the rest of the saoirse to run away from the dungeon, wreaking havoc on the Deviens.
  • Eldritch Abomination: Although she doesn't look like it, saoirse true forms are featureless, body-snatching creatures.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: It's clear she loves her son, Pebbleleap. Probably wasn't expecting to get killed along with him.
  • Grand Theft Me: Her power, like all saoirse. Forcibly stole Shuuichi Saihara's body, thus killing him.
  • Imposter Forgot One Detail: Subverted. Although the aspirants suspected her behavior as Shuuichi (most notably, Kokichi), she sustained the trick long enough to enact her plan.

Player Characters (by division)

    Hydra

Giovanni Potage

Epithet Erased

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/giovanni_wiki.png

Nico Seren-Potage

Original Character

A seer with heavy star motifs and an artificial body. Playful, cheerful, and energetic. Her one dream is to see a place where people are safe and happy. Originally arrived on Gladiolus Station in a different form in May 8220, she changed entirely after entering a cocoon in October 8220.

Teivel Dalca

Original Character

A Daemon hailing from the world of Pendara, full of a seemingly endless amount of love for everyone and anyone he meets. Always wearing a bright smile and addressing everyone with endearing nicknames, his presence aboard Gladiolus Station serves as a warmth to quite a few people, and he has very few enemies as a result. In reality, he shoulders quite a dark past, having grown up in an underground country full of bloodshed and violence before making an escape to the world of humans.

Teivel had first arrived aboard Gladiolus Station in May 2020, but left about a month later. He returned to the station in October 2020 with a good deal of additional character development.

  • Abusive Parents: Implied with Teivel's father, who blinded him in his right eye, partially crippled his right arm, and damaged his wings to a point that he could no longer fly. A later update from his world revealed that it was a necessary evil, and his own attempt to drive Teivel to leave the Underground and never return, in hopes of him having a better life.
  • Accidental Innuendo: Sometimes drops these as part of being a Daemon of Lust.
  • Aerith and Bob: Some of his friends have rather orthodox names, such as Giovanni. Teivel's name, meanwhile, is the Yiddish word for "devil".
  • All-Loving Hero: A genuinely sweet and kind-hearted person who touts himself as "born of love itself", going out of his way to assist others and asking nothing in return.
  • An Arm and a Leg: Or rather, a pair of wings; Teivel used to have wings, but they were bitten off by a Dionaea.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: He was known as the Reaper in the past, and despite his injuries, he still has the same skill as he did in his prime.
  • Camp Gay: Skirts and tight-fitting tops? Check. Shows a large amount of skin? Check. Sassy posing and flowery speech? Check. Only interested in guys? Check.
  • Catchphrase: Overlapping with Verbal Tic, he has a habit of addressing others as "darling", "dear", "dearie", "sweetie", "sweetheart", or "love".
  • Crapsack World: The Underground, where Teivel was born and raised. It is a lawless, bloody land where Daemons consistently fight and kill one another, where strength determines one's standing, and where the reigning ruler of Daemons is decided by a fight to the death between the noble houses (of which Teivel is a member).
  • Eye Scream: Is blind in his right eye due to his father severely injuring him. The damage is so bad that even his Glamour can't hide it.
  • Fanservice: Oozes it, and is proud of it.
  • Fantastic Racism: Daemons aren't exactly treated well in Teivel's world, which requires him to hide his nature as one by posing as a human. Aboard the station he does not have to hide who he is, but he still feels as though his Daemon nature would drive others away.
  • Friend to All Children: While Teivel is already kind to everyone he meets, he especially shows a fondness to children, encouraging them and always offering to help them should they request it. He calls himself the "Resident Big Brother" aboard the station for a reason.
  • Glamour Failure: He can disguise himself as a human, but the transformation is only visible; his horn and his tail don't magically disappear, and can still be touched, and his shadows and reflections betray his appearance.
  • Glowing Eyes: When charged with too much residual electricity, his eyes glow pink.
  • Goshdang It To Heck: He rarely swears, so when he does, you know shit has hit the fan.
  • Handicapped Badass: Half blind and has almost no feeling in his right arm, but this doesn't stop him from being one of the strongest Daemons in his world.
  • Happily Adopted: Speaks fondly of his "gram-gram", the woman who took him in after his escape from the Underground and taught him everything he knows about being a human.
  • Heart Symbol: The spade of his tail is distinctly heart-shaped, and he has a heart-shaped tattoo on his lower stomach.
  • Hidden Depths: On the outside he's just a very friendly and sweet fellow who offers a helping hand to anyone in need, but the tragic backstory he hides would require a few hours to delve through.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: His deepest dream is to live life as an ordinary human, as distant from his past as a Daemon as possible.
  • Important Haircut: Before his reaching the human world, his hair was extremely long; he cut it short as part of distancing himself from his past.
  • Impossibly Cool Weapon: Mortilune, a chain-scythe comprised of a two-foot-long scythe blade attached to a twenty-foot-long chain that can be used as a handheld blade, a ranged weapon, a whip, a garrote, and even a conduit for electricity.
  • Late-Arrival Spoiler: Teivel being a Daemon. During his first stay aboard the station, he tried his hardest to keep it hidden, but upon returning he has no such reservations.
  • Leg Focus: He takes great pride in his legs and wears clothes that show them off.
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: When Teivel drops the nicknames and affectionate terms of endearment, he's either upset or about to wreck everything.
  • Lightning Bruiser: His primary means of fighting utilizes very fast, very powerful strikes accented by electricity, making this more literal than most cases.
  • Lightning Gun: Umbra and Lux, Teivel's twin revolvers, fire bursts of magic electricity despite having visible chambers.
  • Logical Weakness: Water, when Teivel is in his "Overcharged" state; contact with water causes an explosion of pure electricity that can and will kill him and everyone around him.
  • Nice Guy: One of the biggest defining traits about Teivel is his seemingly unending levels of kindness. He treats total strangers as longtime friends and offers to assist anyone and everyone he meets, and doesn't ask for anything in return. Even his business, Devilish Designs, only charges enough for Teivel to pay for supplies, pay his employees, and pay off the loan to start the business—he doesn't keep any of the profits for himself, and he regularly gives out vouchers for free clothing. He makes homemade pastries and sweets regularly to give out for no reason other than because he wants to, gives out gifts of scarves, blankets, and other hand-knitted sorts, and does his best to make others smile. He himself summed it up best:
"Smiles are the most beautiful thing in this world."
  • Noodle Incident: Sometimes mentions incidents from his home world, but without any elaboration.
  • Older Than They Look: Teivel proudly mentions his age as 257 years old, but looks no older than his mid-twenties.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: After losing his wings, Teivel dropped much of his bubbly demeanor; he stopped using nicknames and endearments, and became much more somber.
  • Precision F-Strike: Drops one, and only one, instance of "fuck", and that's when he's getting tired of dealing with the rampant plants within the Magnolia Greenhouse.
  • Red Herring: His kindness has all the flags of being someone with a dark secret ready to betray everyone, but no, Teivel's just that nice.
  • Required Secondary Powers: Given that Teivel's powers rely on generating electricity within his own body, he is highly resistant to electricity—but not immune to it, as his own electricity can cause him severe health issues and requires routine discharging.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: Teivel is a member of House Dalca, one of four noble houses among Daemonkind and, subsequently, a potential heir to the throne. He also doesn't shy away from stepping into the action should the need arise.
  • Shock and Awe: Primarily fights using electricity, which is naturally generated in his own body.
  • Stepford Smiler: Keeps up his smile even when something is bothering him, simply because he doesn't want others to worry about him and wants to help others smile.
  • The X of Y: His official title is "The Daemon of Desire".

"Live for the people you lost."
The chosen wielder of the Sword of Sylfaer. A cheerful and girly demeanor hides a fighter with a pessimistic view of the world. Sometime after arriving on the station, she got a Yorkshire Terrier named Murphy as an emotional support dog and spoils him rotten.

Pisces

Crash Fever

An architect-turned-politician/commander from the virtual reality world known as ALICE. Obsessed with beauty and is capable of altering people's physical appearances. While she was particularly mean and ruthless in her homeworld, she mellowed out upon getting closer with a few other Aspirants from ALICE - that said, given her experiences, she still harbors a deep grudge against humanity as a whole.
  • Chainsaw Good: Her "motorcycle", the Helicoprion, is basically a rideable chainsaw.
  • "Freaky Friday" Flip: Switched bodies with Aleister for a few days... who immediately took advantage of her powers to make it look like there were two Aleisters.
  • Like Brother and Sister: Sees Aleister as a brother — more specifically, as a replacement for her actual brother, Aries.
  • Magic Plastic Surgery: Is capable of altering the physical appearance of any living being, including herself.
  • Scars Are Forever: Has a permanent scar on her face from her stay in the Elder Tree — her aforementioned appearance alteration does nothing to it.

Toragana Chaghan

Toragana in her usual armor
"I AM LOUD AND YOU WILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT"
The famed Warrior of Light from Eorzea (or at least, one of the ones in the group). She's loud and brash, often getting into fights for the fun and thrill of it. Shortly after arriving on the station, she decided to take up baking, and surprisingly enjoys it.

  • Blood Knight: Toragana loves and relishes in combat of all kinds.
  • Caps Lock: Originally how her VEGA translated her shouting, she now opts to type in this because "it suits her personality".
  • Dark Is Not Evil: A common characteristic of the Xaela. Toragana's more inhuman features are black, and she believes in and worships the Dusk Mother Nhaama.
  • Eyepatch of Power: She wears an eyepatch, and looks cool doing it.
  • Hot-Blooded: Toragana can get set off by anything, no matter how small.
  • Immune to Mind Control: Part of her powers granted to her by the Echo.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She's an asshole, but a well-meaning, world-saving one.
  • The Berserker: Being a member of the Chaghan tribe of Xaela, Toragana often enters a berserker rage known as the Will of Karash when in battle. When under its influence, she may potentially commit brutal atrocities, up to and including murder of friends and family. Played for Laughs when she bakes under its influence.

Drawn by IscaRedSpider
"Okay okay okay okay Elatha's not getting off my case about this so I'm just gonna put this out there and hope for the best because this feels like jumping the gun to me. *Audible gaspy deep breath* We haven't even met face to face yet and something's already clicking with me in terms of Minato and I've only known him (digitally) for about a day now I dunno might be the vibes I'm getting from both messages sent and profile icon or the fact that hey similar powers similar ordeal listen I have bad social experience and stuff and things and aaaaaHHHHHHHH HELP-"
— Alexis confessing her "crush at first sight" feelings for Minato Arisato just a day after she met him.
Alexis is a 20 year old American born Persona User of the Moon Arcana; having moved to Japan after a member of her family got employed for a job there. She was a victim of the notable TV World related kidnappings occurring in Inaba... But had avoided having her shadow go berserk upon initial meeting due to great self-awareness. As a result, she had awakened to Elatha... Her own persona. After being rescued from the TV World by a few strangers (which just so happened to be the canon cast members), she returned home but kept the recent happenings a secret within herself. Being brought to Gladiolus station was, as she will admit, what she needed. Even if she didn't really consent to it, her heart grows fond of the station and, as the months passed, she grew in character the more she spent her time.
  • Fun with Homophones: With Alexis being of Unites States origin, there was a small issue considering how to deal with both "you" and Yu; an issue she brought up to the person in question... Much to the other's confusion.
  • Language Barrier: One of the first concerns Alexis had upon station arrival.
  • Personality Powers: Pretty much what Personas are. Elatha was born from Alexis' Shadow... Which in turn was born from Alexis' heart. This Persona represents her inner desire to truly be herself and not worry about any form of judgement that may come upon her. A desire to reveal her inner self that isn't fool's gold... But true gold.
  • Spam Attack: When rescuing Xane during the FLOURISH event, Medeus was the enemy of the day. Alexis' go-to was to keep using Zionga for her attacks. Again. And again. The constant paralysis ailment infliction definitely helped in keeping the dragon at bay. This method of offensive approach has gained the approval of a certain other Persona User...
Alexis: Also, uh, if you heard any thunder from within the tree... That was mostly me.
    Yu: Good.
  • Wake-Up Call: There are two instances of this.
    • The first one is where Alexis was thrown into the TV World and had encountered her Shadow; self-introspective but still painful for her heart.
Shadow Alexis: You've put up this false mask for so long that even you've forgotten who you are. You don't know what you want and you don't know how you feel…
    • The second one is when she was entranced by the parasitic plant within the Elder Tree; her inner desires being given to her through illusions. It was a battle of will... One that she was able to win.
Alexis: This isn't what I want! GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!
  • Write Who You Know: Alexis is a self-insert based character with origins coming from the mun who plays her; Essent.

A scholar of magic and history, and the owner of the mysterious Shroud of Umbra. He's a quiet, sensitive young man who's become incredibly invested in unraveling the numerous mysteries within the Stellirae star system.

Ereshkigal (Lancer)

Fate/Grand Order

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/303200b2.png
"My... resolve...? I'm done hurting people... I'm... I'm done being selfish..."
Ereshkigal, moments before falling unconscious after being freed from the wish-fulfilling vines by Asuka and Rei during the FLOURISH event.

The eternal keeper of The Underworld from the Mesopotamian era. She was tasked from birth with watching over the souls of the dead and seeing that they were tended to. Though her era has long since ended, it seems her appearance in the Stellirae system has granted the Goddess of Kur another chance at life.

  • I Just Want to Be Loved: Both one of Ereshkigal's virtues and vices. Goes in tandem with the previous trope; she is prone to making short-sighted decisions to get people to like her.
  • Small, Secluded World: She was confined to the depths of the Underworld her entire life, with the only exception being briefly before her apparent death at the end of the Babylonia singularity.
  • Don't Fear the Reaper: While not necessarily a reaper per se, she is the caretaker of souls and a surprisingly friendly one at that.
  • Supernatural Gold Eyes: Her eyes are normally a bright red hue, but will turn a shimmering hue of gold when angered.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: It's very easy to win Ereshkigal over with kindness. She's not used to being treated kindly, so she can take even small gestures of friendliness to heart.
  • Badass Adorable: Sure, she's 5'2" and stutters over her words... But when it comes to being on the battlefield, she is a force to be reckoned with. Being the Goddess of Death has it's perks, after all.
  • Caring Gardener: She's taken an interest to plants ever since arriving on Gladiolus Station, especially flowers (with her favorite being peonies like the ones Caster spread around her Underworld). This became bitterly ironic after the events of FLOURISH.
  • God in Human Form: The body Ereshkigal currently manifests in is not her own. Due to circumstances explained in Babylonia, she is using the body of Rin Tohsaka as a vessel.
  • Death of Personality: Ereshkigal has multiple layers of this. In part because the body she is currently inhabiting is not actually her's, and the fact she was apparently destined to reincarnate as another 'Ereshkigal' after the events of the Babylonia singularity.

Luca Pennywort/PW-01408

God Eater 3

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screenshot_4_91.png
The Devil of the Hounds
"It's a process humans are put through. If you can survive it, you're in the job for life until you die or you're too injured to fight. If you can't, they just toss you out like old leftovers for the Aragami. It's the worst pain you can imagine, and then you have to risk your life all the time."
— Luca, describing what becoming a God Eater entails.

The second-in-command of the Hounds of the Chrysanthemum, the field leader known as the Devil of the Hounds. The protagonist of God Eater 3, using his canon name. He has risked his life for many years to protect humanity from the threat of Aragami, and now is living a domestic life aboard Gladiolus Station. He has a pet cat by the name of Chunky Paws, who is smart enough to use Luca's VEGA.

  • Back from the Dead: Died during the events of FLOURISH and was revived a day later.
  • Big Eater: And how! He can scarf down servings of food fit for several people in one go. It's been explained that his physiology requires it, due to the Oracle Cells in his body devouring most of what he eats.
  • Brains and Brawn: The Brawn to Hugo's Brains. He doesn't like to think about things too hard, preferring to settle things with his God Arc.
  • Buffy Speak: Due to being unfamiliar with animals, he tends to describe them in this way. Typically he refers to them as similar to Aragami, or by general shape.
  • Childhood Friend Romance / Official Couple: Is currently dating Hugo, his best friend since they were children first picked up by Port Pennywort.
  • Clothing Damage: His basic outfit is held together with strips of black tape. His other outfits also have such strips of tape, but he has mentioned it to be simply because he's so used to it.
  • Conditioned to Accept Horror: Due to his experiences, most of the time his reaction to strange occurances aboard the station are along the lines of "well, that's new". However, it's completely averted during FLOURISH, feeling the same crushing hopelessness about the situation as he did when the Ashlands appeared.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Wears predominantly dark blue and grey hues, but is unambiguously a good guy.
  • Deadpan Snarker: When he isn't being naive about something, he usually has a dry comment about something.
  • Distressed Dude: During FLOURISH, he was one of the many people to succumb to the illusions brought on by the plants, requiring a joint effort by Hugo and Raven to save him.
  • Emotionally Tongue-Tied: Spent several days fretting over his feelings for Hugo before finally confessing his feelings for him.
  • Good Is Not Soft: While he's definitely one of the good guys, Luca isn't averse to getting his hands dirty, nor will he shy away from dealing with a threat.
  • Hates Being Alone: Recently, he's come to dislike that he and Hugo are the only members of the Hounds to be aboard the station. Missing them is what led to his being captured during FLOURISH.
  • Heroic Red Ring of Death: He's mentioned in passing that if he does not receive his Bias Factor injections, he runs the risk of his Oracle Cells devouring him from the inside—or worse, becoming an Aragami.
  • Literal-Minded: He doesn't understand sayings relating to animals, trying to figure out why the saying goes how they do.
  • Living Emotional Crutch: A mutual example between himself and Hugo, who support one another throughout everything.
  • Meaningful Name: The name "Luca" is derived from Lucas, which is derived from Lux, or "light", fitting for someone who serves as a guiding light to the Hounds. While it isn't his biological name, his surname Pennywort comes from a plant of the same name that has detoxifying agents, which fits for how he, along with the other Hounds, are attempting to end the toxic treatment of other Adaptive God Eaters.
  • Nice Guy: A little awkward, but Luca is a genuinely nice person who likes to meet others.
  • No Periods, Period: Subverted. Luca does not bleed during his periods, but he does suffer the other effects (nausea, bloating, fatigue, and emotional instability).
  • No Social Skills: Growing up in a cage with barely any contact with the outside world stunted Luca's social growth greatly, and as a result he fumbles a lot during social situations.
  • Scars Are Forever: He bears a large scar on the left side of his neck as a reminder of what occurred during FLOURISH.
  • Single-Target Sexuality: He only has eyes for Hugo.
  • Skilled, but Naive: While he's an incredibly skilled fighter, he's also hopelessly clueless about everything else.
  • Smarter Than You Look: He mentions that he dislikes thinking a lot, but he's also insightful and quick to pick up on clues.
  • Stepford Smiler: Type A. He rarely displays his insecurities to others, but when he's talking privately to those he holds dear, he lets down his mask and talks about his problems.
  • Too Much Information: On the giving end, see No Social Skills above. Most of the time, it's regarding his relationship with Hugo, due to not knowing that a lot of the things they thought normal for their friendship (bathing together, seeing each other nude, and other things) are usually reserved for couples in long-term relationships.
"I-I didn't realize Luca had...passed me by so quickly..."
—Darwin, when Luca let slip that he and Hugo have bathed together.
  • Wardrobe Flaw of Characterization: His dog-eat-dog, rough upbringing means that he's seemingly incapable of wearing clothes that aren't littered with copious amounts of black tape.
  • Weak-Willed: Played with. During the weeks leading up to FLOURISH, Luca began to suffer from severe homesickness due to missing his family. When the plants gave him an illusion of being home with everyone, he accepted it willingly.

Chunky Paws
"i good kitty."'
A chubby British Shorthair that Luca adopted not long after he arrived at the station. She is often seen with Luca, who carries her around in a fish-shaped cat-carrier backpack. She's intelligent enough that she knows how to use his VEGA to communicate.
  • all lowercase letters: Her speech is written like this.
  • Buffy Speak: Even the cat isn't immune to it. Because she's a cat, her vocabulary is very limited, so she describes things in her own way.
  • Cats Are Lazy: When she isn't begging for snacks or pets, she much prefers to spend her day on Luca or Hugo's lap. Averted during FLOURISH, when she spent time visiting those close to Luca while he was missing to make sure they were all okay.
  • How Do I Use Tense: Her sentences are in present tense.
  • Running Gag: Her hijacking Luca's VEGA when he isn't looking, or is otherwise preoccupied with something.
  • Translation Convention: She can only meow, but the VEGA can still translate her.
  • You No Take Candle: Her limited vocabulary results in her speech being quite stunted, but she is able to get her point across well enough as-is.

Yoshi Nanase/Nanashi

1bitHeart

A young teenager who lived as a shut-in with his cousin after dropping out of school. His life changed after meeting the time traveler Misane, who got him out of his shell and helped him make friends. The two will meet again in the future... but for now, making friends in the Stellirae star system will suffice.
  • Animals Hate Him: He has the power to create constructs of animals, but, much like in his source material, they don't seem to like him very much.
  • Extreme Doormat: He lets people walk all over him, but he's working on this.
  • Magical Eye: His "number vision" power allows him to immediately discern someone's biographical information and even their recent thoughts. With the help of a drone he designed, he can even change the numbers he sees in order to insert thoughts into someone's mind.
  • Nice Guy: He's a genuinely nice person, even if he says/does weird things in the name of friendship.
  • Scars Are Forever: Has one circling his neck after accepting the Elder Tree's illusion, in reference to how he chokes his future self to death in his source material's bad ending.

Donovan Wolfe

CODE: VEIN (Original Character)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/donny_icon.png
A meek Revenant from the closed-off ruined lands known as Vein, whose life was one catastrophe after another. Since his rebirth as a Revenant, he has been seeking a mysterious older brother, but his search has been put on hold since ending up aboard Gladiolus Station. He's not thrilled with the new surroundings, but he's doing what he can to adjust.
  • Cute Mute: Easy on the eyes and completely mute.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: As with other Revenants who disperse and reform, some of Donovan's memories are missing, leaving holes that he doesn't even know are there half the time. Overlaps with Wistful Amnesia, seen below.
  • Our Vampires Are Different: He drinks human blood to keep a parasite in his heart from going into a frenzy and turning him into a mindless monster, and he has otherworldly abilities, but for the most part he's just an undead human.
  • Security Blanket: He has a literal one (a weighted blanket), alongside an old teddy bear he calls Snowy, which was a gift from his brother when he was a young child.
  • Trauma Conga Line: Where do we even begin? First, he's had numerous surgeries since he was very young and was left mute due to complications from a tonsillectomy when he was five. When he was seven his mother passed away and his father became an alcoholic, and his father blinded him in his left eye with a pot of boiling water. When he was thirteen the Great Collapse happened and totaled the city he and his brother lived in. When he was fifteen, his brother died, and he became an unwilling blood bag to a group of Revenants, and when he was eighteen, he died. The only thing keeping him from hitting the Despair Event Horizon is the hope of finding his brother.
  • Wistful Amnesia: He can't remember his older brother very well, unable to remember his name or face. The only reason he can remember having a brother is his bear, Snowy, and the warm feelings he gets when he remembers that there was someone who used to care for him when he was human.

Kaname Date

AI: The Somnium Files

A detective for ABIS (Advanced Brain Investigation Squad), a secret branch of Tokyo's police department. Having solved the New Cyclops Serial Killings and officially adopted his daughter, he now finds himself whisked away to Stellirae, where he has reconnected with an old flame and started a family. He also works under Forrest as a detective, as well as at Lio's Burnish Forge helping with auto repairs.

Lio Fotia

Promare

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/7c843fd5_cd17_4848_9c5b_ecec42476f55.jpeg
“Weren't you the one that was :teeth: I HATE HIM! I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM, HE GOES AGAINST BURNISH AND EVERYTHING I STAND FOR RAUGH!! :teeth: And now look at you. Smitten.”
Elysia Flores
The leader of the Mad Burnish: a flame terrorist group from their world only living to serve the flames that burn within them. Being a Burnish is something Lio often cites as transcendent, beyond a religious experience. Something that normal humans could never understand. But they’ve adjusted enough to make some friends, at least. Lio runs an auto repairs and android building store in the Autumn Quarter that occasionally burns buildings and evidence for criminals as a side hustle.
  • Animal Motifs: His flames mostly take the forms of serpents, but he’s been shown to have a favoritism for dragons and reptiles as a whole.
  • Berserk Button: Insulting or harming the Burnish or any other marginalized group in any way.
  • Evil Parents Want Good Kids: Downplayed. Lio's family was a crime family, after all. They didn't experience much of it on account of staying in a Gilded Cage.
  • Fame Through Infamy: Lio is likely one of the most annoying Aspirants in the eyes of the Representatives, considering how often they refuse their help and mostly burn whatever they feel like.

Stellirae provides examples of:

  • Anyone Can Die: No matter how powerful a character is in their own canon, they're not immune to death, so anyone can die.
  • Artificial Human: The Zestra. While there are many android Zestra (many that border on Ridiculously Human Robot) onboard Gladiolus, there is also a less common subspecies known as the Chamè Zestra, which refers to any inorganic body given life by a rare material.
  • Brown Note: Ends Birds have a psychic cry that makes everyone around them hear their own voice tell the time. This is disconcerting to begin with, but if someone hears a younger version of their current voice, the birds will attack them.
  • Death Is a Slap on the Wrist: Subverted. While anyone who dies will find themselves alive and back on the station within 24 hours, they will also suffer some (temporary) side effects of resurrection; these can include nightmares, a temporary lack of spatial awareness, and the inability to touch things that weren't on their person when they died.
  • Lotus-Eater Machine: The corruption of the Elder Tree on Luesera turned it into one of these, luring people in with promises to fulfill their deepest desires, only for them to be trapped inside.
  • Mood Whiplash: One day, the RP can be focussing on comedic body-swaps or water-gun shenanigans, and the next, five people die on an expedition or Mx. Meaty makes a move. The horror's blended with comedy everywhere here.
  • Non-Player Character: There are several, in the form of the station's representatives and other government officials.
  • Our Fairies Are Different: The Deviens are descendants of fairies - while their true form is that of a wisp of light, they also have animal-like bodies that they're able to manifest.
  • Out-of-Genre Experience: As a sci-fi/fantasy/horror roleplay, characters from media outside of these genres will often be subject to this.
  • Royal "We": QUEEN, the station's main AI, uses this when speaking (notably always typed with a capital "W").
  • Scars Are Forever: A good number of aspirants received permanent scars as a result of them accepting the illusion that the Elder Tree showed to them.
  • Theme Naming: Many of the NPCs are named after plants, while the various divisions that the aspirants and representatives fall into are named after constellations.
  • Weird Weather: Strange weather-related occurrences happen frequently, whether on the station or down on the planets. Some notable examples have included fog that gives people animal features, or a rainstorm that leaves puddles which reflect the memories of whoever looks into them.
