- In life, Manuel "Manny" Calavera committed a crime or several severe enough that when he ended up in the (Mayan) afterlife, he had to work his time off to the powers that be. Thus, he became a reaper — a travel agent psychopomp whose job was to give his clients different ways to cross the Land of the Dead safely, the best method being a train called the Number Nine, which shoots riders straight into the Ninth Underworld, the Mayan equivalent of Paradise. For a time, he was top of the heap, but then Manny started to get a long streak of bad, low-paying clients. When he finally had enough, he decided to steal a good commission from his rival, Domino Hurley. The client in question? A saint of a woman named Mercedes "Meche" Colomar. Unfortunately, this theft would turn out to be Manny's undoing. His ambition had gotten the best of him, leading to Meche not getting her deserved Number Nine (or Double-N) ticket, in turn forcing her to go through the very dangerous Land of the Dead on foot.
- However, it also led to Manny uncovering a web of corruption in the Department of Death. It turned out that some — if not more — of Manny's clients were destined for better things than going on foot after all, not unlike Meche. To set things straight, Manny went on a four-year journey of his own, helped along the way by an elemental spirit (or "demon") named Glottis (who ended up becoming his best friend) and a revolutionary group called the Lost Souls Alliance. In the end, it turned out that at the center of the corruption was a truly vile man named Hector Lemans, who plotted to literally buy his way into paradise. It took quite a bit of sweat, blood, and tears (metaphorical on Manny's part), but at last, Manny foiled Hector's plan, forcing the latter into a second death by Sprouting him (more on that later), and saved many innocent souls, even getting his own Number Nine ticket in the process.
- One day, in the Ninth Underworld, Manny and Meche found a mysterious, golden door. Curious as to where it went, they opened it to find themselves...somewhere that neither of them could have expected. They soon realized that this was the Main House of a place called the Pantheon of Tropes. They were greeted by the good-aligned deities there, who noted that they were just looking for someone to represent Calacas. After they were escorted to the Court of the Gods, where much discussion took place, they were given the position. Manny had only this to say:
Manny: Huh. Well, I guess it was about time for another adventure.- Manny and Meche were more than a little surprised to find that they were able to view the folks in the Pantheon, who were varying degrees of "alive", as they would've if they themselves were still breathing. Manny explained to someone who asked that before the Pantheon, whenever souls (in the version of the afterlife he hailed from) visited the Land of the Living, everyone seemed...very off, like someone had cut out a bunch of pictures of people in magazines and the like and pasted them together haphazardly. Not here, though, it seemed; the theory is that the Pantheon is a sort of afterlife itself, or at least adjacent to multiple afterlives, being a realm of gods.
- Soon after the two made themselves at home in their new temple, they decided to wander around the Pantheon and take in the sights. Not long after, they ended up finding the House of Travel. As they walked toward the door, a huge shadow fell over the both of them. Who should they find walking beside them but an enormous, orange, familiar face, Glottis! The elemental did a double-take when he realized he was walking next to his best friends and scooped them up into a big hug.
- Manny and Meche were interested to learn of other versions of the afterlife they know from fellow calacas such as Héctor and Manolo Sanchez; . Of course, not all the calacas in the Pantheon are good people; namely, Ernesto de la Cruz and Chakal are nasty people that the two want nothing to do with, especially since the former tried to kill a child and the latter
- Due to the process of Sprouting — causing fast-growing plants to painfully grow out of your bones and force you to live life all over again — Manny and Meche get a little nervous around flowers. Imagine their consternation when they learned that there were flowers in the Pantheon who could talk. It certainly didn't help that some of them, such as Flowey and Cagney, weren't as kind as they initially let on.
- Due to how aggressive the pigeons back in the town of El Marrow could be, Manny is also a bit nervous around birds (especially, yes, pigeons). He tends to steer clear of the Hall of Birds for this reason.
Manny: If they all attacked at once, they could carry me off and I'd never be heard from again. - Having been a psychopomp for a time, Manny gets along with other non-evil psychopomps, such as the Reapers of the Bleach universe and the Soul Reapers of Lord Death's Academy.

- Domains: Travel,
- Heralds: The Mayan Mechanics
- Allies: Manny and Meche, Good-aligned deities in the House of Travel,

- Glottis was once a humble — if quite large — elemental spirit (or "demon", as the souls around him called him). Like all elementals in the Mayan Underworld (or at least Grim Fandango's version of it), he was created with one purpose, one skill, one desire. In Glottis's case, it was to drive, and as such, he craved speed. Unfortunately, he was too big to fit in any of the cars at the Department of Death — which provides recently-departed souls a way to reach the paradise that is the Ninth Underworld — so he was stuck doing mechanic work on the vehicles instead. One day, one Domino Hurley sent home the usual driver of his rival, Manuel "Manny" Calavera, so Manny managed to get permission for Glottis to be his driver instead (if through a bit of trickery). From that point on, Glottis stuck with Manny through thick and thin, and the two became not simply co-workers, but friends. Sadly, Glottis wasn't allowed into the Ninth Underworld when Manny finally managed to earn his way there, but as he assured Manny, he was fine where he was — he was "a big demon success story", and it was all thanks to Manny. After a tearful, heartfelt goodbye, Glottis stayed behind, among smaller elementals who bear a striking resemblance to himself (called the Mayan Mechanics), who praised him as the Grand Demon, or "Gran Demonio Roedor".

- Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
- Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
- Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
- Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either from their perspective or yours.
- Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
- Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
- Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
- Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
- Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly oppose or are opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects", "On Good Terms With", and/or "Commonality Connection") in terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
- Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
- Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
- Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part, the order is irrelevant:
- The Ascension Text: This is the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
- The Bio: A brief synopsis of the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
- Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
- And some more trivia/facts.
- And a couple more.
- Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

- Once upon a time, in the magical world of Fœnum, all ungulates lived together as one big, colorful herd. But there were other animals in this world, including animals with claws and, more concerning for the ungulates, sharp teeth. Their concerns would turn out to be justified when one day, these animals — Predators — attacked the ungulates and tried to eat them. The latter fought back, and a powerful oryx among them — known as the Horned Prophet — used one of her horns to create a key to banish the Predators to a void-like chamber known simply as The Hold. However, the Predators swore they'd be back, and they'd be hungry. The resulting fear of this promise led to a rift between each and every kind of ungulate, which in turn led all the inhabitants of Fœnum to decide they'd be better off just hanging around their own respective groups.
- Years later, the ungulates managed to find relative peace, albeit divided into groups like Cattlekind, Deerfolk, and Sheeple. However, a report of shadowy Predators attacking a young zebra and announcing they were almost free of The Hold reached the Fœnum Council of Elders. Despite the looming threat of the Predators returning, the Council knew that after years of discord, the Ungulates of Fœnum would not agree on a single champion, so they decided to settle it as has been done in times of old; each realm would choose their champion to send on the quest for the legendary Prophet's Key, and it would be their duty to battle against each other until only one of them remains. These champions were Arizona of Cattlekind, Velvet of the Deerfolk, Oleander of the Unicorns (although her people would deny it), Paprika of the Alpake, Pom of the Sheeple, and Tianhuo of the Longma.
- Arizona had just left the temple of the
- Back when she was still a Pantheon deity, Lauren Faust had the six champions let into the Pantheon (separately of course), with instructions to meet certain individuals and ask specific things of them. Namely, the Spirits of Harmony from Equestria.
- Arizona was directed to Applejack, who at the time was still a House Guardian in the House of Personality. She approached the farmpony with a request for a combat duel. Though a bit befuddled by the request, Applejack decided to go ahead with it and went hoof to hoof (with lariats on the side).
- Velvet made her way to the House of Costumes, approached Rarity while she was at work in her boutique and begrudgingly asked for a round in combat. After an unspecified prodding of a Berserk Button, the two engaged in combat, with Rarity forced to use her sewing supplies and gems in conjunction with her own martial arts to counter Velvet's ice magic.
- Oleander went to the House of Knowledge where Twilight Sparkle was stated to be (prior to her transfer to the House of Power), but upon sighting her from a distance, something Fhtng said made her change her mind and opt not to duel the alicorn, not wanting to lose her tome.
- Paprika immediately zoomed for the House of Emotion to find Pinkie Pie and… and immediately decided to prove her love for the earth pony by combat. Pinkie had to use her party cannon, various oodles she keeps around in case of sudden-declaration-of-battle emergencies, and her 4th-wall abilities to the fullest to ward the alpaca off, and was reportedly a little disturbed at Paprika's freaky need for affection. And the fact that she wasn't even speaking in coherent words at all note besides announcing her name.
- Pom was dragged over by her pack of sheep dog puppies all the way to the House of Nature, where Fluttershy was currently at, and they were eager to get some training in so as not to fall behind of the other Key Seekers. The lamb's over-eager canines riled up the animals under Fluttershy's care, especially Angel, and they were all too willing to defend their mistress. During the chaos that ensued, the battle went too far, and Fluttershy herself was forced to step in, and as a result so did Pom in defense of her pups. Later, a profuse apology was made on Pom's part, who confessed her pups' reasons for fighting.
- Tianhuo also went to the House of Nature, but at her own volition, and eventually found Rainbow Dash to request for a duel, hoping she would satisfy her with a good fight. A good fight was indeed given, and Tianhuo was hard-pressed with to counter Rainbow's speed. The longma hopes for future matches with the pegasus in future.
- Applies to all or some of them:
- The absolute first thing they needed to know about the Pantheon is that it's full of all sorts of creatures of varying moralities, including those that eat meat, or both it and plant matter, or even something else entirely, and that the most abundant of the Pantheon's species—human beings (statues of which they've seen in Reine City's museum)—are omnivores, though there are those who ascribe to vegetarian or even vegan diets. And the fact that one's diet does not determine one's morality, as there are even some despicable folk who explicity abstain from meat.
- One of the other first things they had to get used to was how salt (their currency) works outside Fœnum; in the Pantheon, it serves several purposes, such a spice for enhancing the flavor of foods (including fruits, cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, and olives), and preserving… other foods when refrigeration isn't available. They can also sell them at the House of Food or anyone else buying salt for standard House of Commerce-approved money (in the form of bills and coins, or halos, macca, bullets, clam shells, credit chips, etc.).
- In regards to their opinions on each other, only Arizona, Pom, and Tianhuo (the longma even has more respect for the sheep's abilities more than the sheep herself has) are on amicable terms with one another, as Velvet is too vain, Paprika is too overbearing (and unintelligible), and Oleander keeping Fhtng around makes things difficult.
- As Fighting Game characters, they've gotten all sorts of receptions from the ascended fighter game deities. Many were dismissive of the lot except for Oleander and Tianhuo, given the former's use of (dark) magic, and the latter's aerial maneuvers. Opinions soon changed swiftly after a few matches against them, though the sextet did need to learn how to handle strictly bipedal combatants (while Huggles the bear could walk on twos, he was on fours more often).
- The herbivore supremacist Dawn Bellwether is a source of varying opinions. Velvet has nothing to say. Arizona distrusts her for her desire for power. Paprika's lack of respect for personal space prove problematic for Dawn, especially when she scruffs her wool. She doesn't trust Oleander and her eldritch tome. And being part-dragon and thus carnivrous, she despises Tianhuo. The only one among them that she has some amount of friendliness to is Pom and her care for sheepdogs.
- Chirin is another point of contention, as while he's a sheep, he learned how to fight from a wolf (i.e. a Predator), and was also equally as ruthless as one for a time. Velvet just found him repulsive to look at. Pom was frightened, and so were her sheepdogs. Paprika tried to be friends with him anyway. Arizona and Tianhuo regard him with caution. Oleander was merely curious as to the sheep's circumstances and how they turned him into what he is now.
- Hircine holds great interest in and respect for them, given their willingness to fight off the Predators in their world.
- Exclusive to Arizona:
- Her time at Reine trying to get directions to the museum has left her with sour opinions on snobs who don't think any "lesser people" are worth the time paying attention to. She also knows better than to annoy perimeter guards, as the one time she tried, she was booted out of the city (though thankfully she was still able to re-enter).
- Ever since her encounter with Fhtng, who incapacitated her after she had defeated Oleander fair and square, and hearing that he has "plans", she distrusts all forms of evil magic sentient literature and has taken it to herself to warn the Pantheon about what she knows of "Fred". By extension, she had difficulty trusting Grimoire Weiss, which isn't helped by his attitude, his affiliation with Nier, and Nier's deeds that brought humanity to extinction in his world.
- Exclusive to Velvet:
- -possible encounter with Cirno-
- Ever since an incident with a sword in the stone (in her city's museum) that left eighteen wounded and five with roughed up floofs, she's been under heavy scrutiny every time she's at a museum.
- Has a particular taste for a specific tea. Pumpkin Spice is most definitely not on the list, but Gingerbread is. would she be fool enough to pick a fight with Iroh?
- Somehow, she's one of the few who are able to understand Paprika's "speech".
- Exclusive to Oleander:
- Apparently, Fhtng has duplication magic in his pages at Chapter 34.
- Exclusive to Paprika:
- Exclusive to Pom:
- Pom dressed as Venom Snake◊
- Level 3 Super has Pom—in response to seeing her pup tank a blow for her—flip her lid and beat the living daylights out of the perpetrator a la Raging Demon. Akuma doesn't know if he should be insulted or commend her for achieving an appropriate state of mind.
- Exclusive to Tianhuo:
- The Longma have a strict Code of Honour that forbids certain actions, such as the consumption of meat. Even in the Pantheon, Tianhuo will not break this particular rule as a matter of pride.
- (all her kind are part of the military; relation with Garrus?)
