Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

@fasoman. Dude you just blurted out one of the biggest spoilers of the series. Thanks a lot.

And while we're at it, since Miguel mentioned that one of the things his family could've had a business in was "sparkling underwear for wrestlers", and there's plenty of luchadors abound, I bet that Miguel would become good allies with Rey Mysterio (it does help that one of his high priests is El Santo, aka the One-Scene Wonder of Coco)

[down]Yeah the Central Theme of the series is to not take things at face value. Fasoman revealed one of the big ones but not the biggest ones (watch the series to understand more).

[up] At the least the movie shows what happens when you rob the dead. And Ernesto's grave was mostly desecrated after the truth was found.

But the movie doesn't really show someone being desecrated. Unless you count Ernesto being crushed by a bell a second time to be his second death.

@Miguel - Some sort of interaction with the Houses of Life And Death and Undead. Miguel would probably connect with some of the good deities there and try to help out some of the more struggling members of the Houses. That said, the House of Undead might be difficult for him to visit, given it has Nekron and Nagash as its represantitives.

Anything else for Miguel or is he good to go?

Miguel Rivera, God of Denouncing Family Traditions

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/miguel_76.png
  • Potential House: Family Dynamics and Order and Chaos
  • Quasideity
  • Symbol: His great-great grandfather's guitar
  • Theme Song: Un Poco Loco and Proud Corazón
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Adorkable, Learned to play the guitar by watching old videos, Beauty Mark, Book Dumb, Calls out his family for preventing him for pursuing music, Child Prodigy, Kid Hero, Gadgeteer Genius, The Hero, Identical Grandson, Kid Hero, The odd one out of his family, The Runaway, Shared Family Quirks, A Tragedy of Impulsiveness
  • Domains: Music, Family, The Dead, Tradition, Dreams, Adventure
  • Herald: Dante (his dog)
  • Allies: Héctor, Manolo Sanchez, Maria Posada and Joaquin Mondragon Jr., La Muerte and Xibalba, Zorro, Speedy Gonzales, Amigo, Steven Universe, Greg Universe, Yusuke Kitagawa, Rey Misterio, King II
  • Enemies: Chakal, Evil god from Life And Death and Undead
  • Conflicting Opinion: Seth Briars
  • Born in the Rivera family, famous for being shoemakers, Miguel grew up with dreams of being a musician but unfortunately due to a rather complicated past the Riveras have with music, he was forbidden to even listed or talk about music as his great-great grandmother Imelda had banned music and his grandmother Elena would keep that rule going. Miguel also began idolizing Ernesto de la Cruz and after having a fight with his family, he ran away thinking Ernesto was his missing great-great grandfather and went to his burial place on Dia de los Muertos, where Miguel would find out you don't steal from the dead without consequences and he was transported to the Land of the Dead where he met his deceased family members and witness first hand how the afterlife works. Considering the history of how he always defied the traditions of his family and that ultimately was the main cause of how he later was able to convince his family to warm up to music again and reuniting the whole family in the process, Miguel was handpicked by the Court of Gods to represent a particular title after a familiar face recommended him for it.
  • He was caught off guard by his ascension, thinking he accidentally fallen into the Land of the Dead again and he didn't know how. The fact that he reunited with Héctor was pretty bittersweet since he was really happy to see him again but have no clue how he came to the pantheon and Héctor later explained that the Pantheon wasn't the afterlife but another place entirely, so Miguel was in no danger of becoming a skeleton here and that seemed to relieve Miguel and he became excited to learn more about this place.
  • He tries to stay away from the House of Life And Death because he doesn't want to repeat getting stuck in the afterlife and certainly doesn't want to mingle with skeletons again. That said, Miguel was visited by a few of Hector's friends, namely Maria, Manolo and Joaquin, a trio who also went to a similar adventure as Miguel and even if they respect him for managing to unite his family, they also scolded him for being too rebellious and that he should listen to the people that care for his safety. Of the three he relates the most to Manolo, who also has dreams of becoming a musician and had that dream denied by his family too, so he encourages the young Miguel to keep playing music.
    • The trio also introduced Miguel to both La Muerte and Xibalba, who oversee the Land of the Dead in their universe and were mildly impressed that such a young boy managed to escape the afterlife and even save Hector from his final death. That said, they too scolded Miguel but only because he stole from the dead (even if he ultimately stole from Ernesto de la Cruz, that was morally wrong anyway).
  • Miguel can often find himself performing in the House of Music, rehearsing some new songs after the newfound fame after he managed to uncover Ernesto's dirty laundry and given Héctor his well-deserved recognition. He also found himself becoming friends with Steven Universe for their shared love for music but also for being the one person in their family/group to unite the others for a common cause. Miguel often joins Steven and his father Greg to perform some songs in their spare time and Miguel has grown curious about Greg's former life as a rockstar.
    • He also ended up meeting Amigo, a fellow mexican deity whose always cheerfully dancing and performing with his Maracas. Miguel often joins him with his guitar and tries to sing along to whatever Amigo is doing at the moment.
  • A huge fan of classical hero films as he used to watch a lot of the films Ernesto de la Cruz in secret, although it became a bit of an Old Shame in hindsight. However, he came to respect Don Diego de la Vega for his crusade against the evil spaniards and while he was a bit surprised to learn he was a talking animal, Miguel is a huge fan of Speedy Gonzales which surprised almost nobody.
  • Yusuke Kitagawa from the Phantom Thieves related a lot to Miguel's story, mostly the part where they were dissapointed and deceived by someone they idolized. While Miguel has seemingly gotten over the whole ordeal and is at peace knowing his great-grandfather got the recognition he deserved, it seems Yusuke hasn't quite gotten over his master stealing his art.
  • Miguel is also a huge fan of wrestling and Lucha Libre, usually playing with her Abuelita Coco. He also caught a glimpse of El Santo while visiting Ernesto's palace and he later heard he was avaialable as the high priest of another deity. He later became a huge fan of both Rey Mysterio and King II for representing Lucha Libre and his home country.
  • Holds the distinction of being one of the few deities that has robbed from the dead, which is how he end up in the Land of the Dead in the first place. The fact that the other deity that has also robbed a grave is Seth Briars and a certified weirdo, Miguel is embarrassed that some deities compare his actions to what Seth does. The scoundrel pays little attention to Miguel but is interested in learning more about said land of the dead and if it houses secret treasures to steal.
  • One thing that creeps Miguel out is that he almost became an skeleton and so he tries his best to avoid ending up in the afterlife again by accident. He did learn some undead deities are actually good people but several others like Nekron or Nagash makes Miguel feel scared of the more evil undead deities.
  • Eventually his tale was learned by Chakal, a personal Arch-Enemy of Manolo, Maria and Joaquin and someone who is desperately looking for a way to gain immortality so he was curious to see if Miguel learn a couple secrets regarding the afterlife. Miguel found him far more scarier than Ernesto de la Cruz and tries his best to avoid him, often requesting Manolo and the others to protect him from Chakal.

[up][up]You might wanna expand on the Friendly Skeleton deities like Papyrus and Sans. Miguel should also find interest with Jack Skellington too (particular since Jack is our God of All Hallow's Eve. Also, Miguel should stay away from Artix von Krieger (you know, undead slayer and all)

There's also fellow Disney/Pixar gods, probably things related to Voice Actors, perhaps he should find crazy artists that remind him of Frida Kahlo...

  • Portfolio: Loses Her Tomboyish Looks Over Time, Rabbit Themes, Never Had Much Of A Childhood, Warms Up Thanks To Kaneki, Hates Being Alone, Hot-Blooded, Wants To Live A Non-Ghoul Life, Electrified-Kagune, Tsundere, Slept with Kaneki, Marries Kaneki and Has A Baby

  • High Priestess: Brigette
  • Allies: Ken Kaneki (her husband), Juvia Lockser, Rei Ayanami, Seras Victoria, Akame, Mayuri, Chi-Chi, Cocoa, Chino, Rize, Syaro, and Chiya, Sojiro Sakura, Asuna Yuuki, Toriel
  • Odd Friendship: Yuki Jojima, Roy Mustang
  • Friendly Rival: Soichi Isurugi (Sento's herald, the real one)
  • Enemies: Dio Brando, Mayuri Kurotsuchi, Isaac Westcott, Albert Wesker, the Child Abuse Supporters, Evolto
  • Very Conflicting Opinion on: Yuno Gasai
  • Sympathizes with: Jean Grey/The Phoenix, The Charlotte Cast
  • Fears: Alucard
  • When Ken Kaneki ascended to the Pantheon, he did so on condition that his wife Touka ascended as well. Luckily she fitted her trope to a T: a tomboyish and tough gal in the original Tokyo Ghoul to a more feminine and outwardly sensitive young woman in Tokyo Ghoul: re. She was reluctant to join him at first considering she lived six years of total bliss after the Defense of Tokyo but was convinced after seeing that individuals similar to her ascended knowing full well the consequences. Now, she hopes to pursue an agenda to form a more positive opinion of Ghouls and monitor her always unstable husband on the side.
  • Touka and her younger brother Ayato were born to ghouls Arata Kirishima and Hikari Kirishima, both killed by ghoul investigators early in her life. Seeking shelter from the xenophobic CCG, both took residence in Anteiku, a ghoul shelter/cafe where she became a waitress in exchange for a school life. It was there that she first met Ken Kaneki on his date with Rize Kamishiro, who would be responsible for the incident that turned the former into a one-eyed ghoul. Having gotten cynical since her childhood and losing her even more cynical brother to Aogiri Tree (a ghoul terrorist organization), she had No Sympathy for his situation and only reluctantly trained him to defend himself. Both share a fear of being alone, which would result in a romantic bond so strong that an amnesiac Kaneki (Haise Sasaki) almost recognized her after seeing her and tasting her coffee. After Kaneki regained his memories, they would consummate their relationship and marry before the final battle of the series. Touka as of now is Happily Married to Kaneki with a daughter resembling his Haise persona, with another child on the way.
    • She gets extremely flustered whenever people tease her about her relationship with Kaneki, especially with regards to how bluntly she confessed her love for him. Juvia Lockser, one of her best friends in the Pantheon put it best: who just asks their love interest if they're a virgin and want to make love? Additionally, there's how her first time with Kaneki was covered in graphic detail in a chapter of the Tokyo Ghoul manga, which she hasn't forgiven her creator for. She remains extremely tight-lipped whenever the topic comes up.
  • Like Kaneki, Touka also ascended with her personal retinue of heralds. Ichika, her daughter, was a no-brainer and is enrolled in the Pantheon's main kindergarten in the House of School. Her younger brother Ayato still engages in anti-heroic tendencies and feels most at home in the House of Ambiguity as a ghoul vigilante, Black Rabbit. Rumour has it that he, Kaito Kumon and Mewtwo engage in co-ops together. She's very grateful that her deceased parents were allowed to ascend also. Yoriko Kuroiwa (née Kosaka), her best friend, glad that Touka survived the Defense of Tokyo has opened a successful bakery in the House of Food. Fresh from her marriage to Ghoul Investigator Takeomi Kuroiwa, Yoriko was facing the death penalty for violating the Ghoul Countermeasures Law by associating with Touka but the CCG fell from power before the sentence was carried out.
  • She's even less involved than Kaneki in Pantheon affairs, busy running a new version of :re in her and Kaneki's shared temple. She enjoys making coffee out of respect for her mentor Yoshimura, who elected not to join her in the Pantheon. And she's good at it. On occasion, the real Soichi Isurugi has dropped by to ask her for her secret formula, but she refused and the two are rivals. He has promised to let Sento Kiryu know of her inability to consume human food so she can actually eat the pastries that Yoriko sends her on a daily basis. Obviously, this indirect alliance with Sento has made her an enemy of Evolto.
  • Her first interaction with a non-ghoul deity was the "Rain Woman" of Fairy Tail. At first, the water mage was frightened to hear about what ghouls have to do in order to live through eating people, but Touka cleared up the fact not all ghouls enjoyed this. After hearing about her relationship with Kaneki, she was surprised to hear Juvia fully support this pairing mainly because she has one less "Love Rival" to Gray. Touka's creeped out by her obsession/infatuation with Gray but confesses that so long as it helped in her Heel–Face Turn, she's pretty much gotten used to it at this point.
  • Yuno was different from Juvia, yet similar with her own kind of obsessive love for Yukiteru making the ghoul nervous when she was around this girl. Yuno wondered why this ghoul had a voice like herself, Rei Ayanami and Juvia, but more importantly if Touka would speak to her dear Yukki making the ghoul walk away... Speaking of Rei, the First Child knew that the former Anteiku cafe employee wasn't a normal human, so when she asked Touka about her nature as a ghoul Touka was surprised to hear about Rei's own upbringing as a Eva pilot along with also being not fully human as well. Seras Victoria also felt the same way, even commenting on how Touka's fear of being consumed with hunger is quite familiar to her struggles as a vampire.
    • That being said, the vampire Touka fears more than even Dio Brando (something bad happened) was Seras' mentor Alucard. While she knew that deep down he fought for the right cause, his vicious methods and actions did unnerve the normally calm ghoul. She doesn't hate him, but she is terrified of what he can do considering he doesn't give a damn about anyone not from his world.
  • Is extremely pissed off with Mayuri for not only his methods of torturing his victims, the fact he got away with those crimes, but most of all his methods of "science" reminding her about the atrocities the CCG and Aogiri Tree brought upon Ghouls, specifically Kureo Mado and Akihiro Kanou. This is also why hates Isaac Westcott, Wesker, and by extension Umbrella for creating new soldiers with such inhuman methods, which peaked their interested about how useful a Ghoul could be to him. Wesker, in general, wondered if ghoul DNA could help stir up a new kind of virus to use against the Pantheon.
  • She made friends with astronaut and former high-school student Yuki Jojima after the latter came to her coffee shop for an interview (Kamen Rider Club fieldwork apparently). Yuki had herself been cursed with a dark power (the Gemini Zodiarts) and wanted to know what it was like to have such a power be permanent. She was surprised that the two looked alike and was more amazed at Yuki doing a handshake with her. Touka has also sympathized with Yuki over the Gemini Zodiarts incident and Yuki has been willing to bring Touka to befriend the other Kamen Rider Club members (including Gentaro Kisaragi and Ryusei Sakuta). You know what they say: opposites attract.
  • Being a currently pregnant mother, she has to attend regular hospital appointments to see how her next child is doing. She isn't Hot-Blooded by nature, but will switch in an instant to protect her loved ones, a reason why she eventually clicked with Kaneki; both have a fear of being left alone. Chi-Chi, Videl and Bulma frequently patronize her shop to coddle Ichika and enquire how her next child is doing. Bulma personally offered to bankroll her hospital fees. She also sympathizes with the Charlotte Cast as they all seek refuge in an academy where they could be safe since they are being seek out by scientists since they awakened superpowers through puberty. She still has bad memories of Dr. Kanou.
  • While her phoenix-based ukaku kagune is something she's used to now, the same can't be said of individuals hosting the Phoenix Force. She's met Jean Grey and Hope Summers several times but never enough to be close friends because they're so dangerous. She sympathizes with them for being unable to rid themselves of the Sentient Cosmic Force, unlike her who's gotten used to being a ghoul.
"What the hell do you know?! It's all because I can't eat, because I could be a target at any time, all because I'm a ghoul! No matter how much I try, there's a wall I can never jump over, and there's happiness that I can never have. But I'm still hanging on to life. Despite it all."

I don't do VA connections. I think that's something that we try less and less to include

[up][up]You probably didn't notice this (then again who ever notices me?) but if you need cafe owners, Chiyoko Shirashi would be helpful (she's from Kamen Rider OOO) and she owns a cafe that's all about different countries and cultures and she's always shown in costume.

[up]Well Miguel would still want Artix to stay away from the underworld considering the obsession paladins where Artix come from smiting them. He also would be unsure about how all souls Artix frees would rather stay with him instead of moving on to the afterlife. Which is kinda horrifying since the souls are essentially like batteries for Artix even though Artix shows compassion to those he frees.

Got some ideas. What do you think?

  • God(Preacher), God of Loser Deities (House of Divine Behavior, Neutral Evil): the embodiment of Garth Ennis' contempt for organized religion, the God of the Preacher-verse may be powerful but He is ultimately a pathetic and love-hungry narcissist who does His evil acts out of a need for love through worship. He's not even omnipotent, needing His throne and ultimately causes His own downfall
  • David John McDonald, God of Promoted Fanboys (House of Fanbase, True Neutral): David Tennant got into acting so he could play the Doctor one day. Not only does he play one of the longest-running incarnations, but he becomes the son-in-law to Peter Davison (who portrayed his favorite Doctor) as well(and caused a timey-wimey Cast Incest). He also was a fan of Marvel comics and played Kilgrave

  • Symbol: Their hats topping a plate of Green Eggs and Ham
  • Alignment: Neutral Good (Guy, originally True Neutral) and Chaotic Good (Sam, originally Chaotic Neutral)
  • Portfolio:
  • Superior: Dr. Seuss
  • Herald: Michellee (A bean-counternote  with a crush on Guy) and EB (short for "Elanabeth", Michellee's daughter)
  • Allies:
  • Enemies
  • Conflicting Opinion from: The House of Justice, Crime and Beasts (Sam only)
  • Conficting Opinion on: Mr. Fox (Sam only)
  • Pitied by: The good-aligned gods in the House of Family
  • Fears: The Goat (Sam only)
  • This is the tale of Guy and Sam, and how they became gods thanks to Green Eggs and Ham.
  • In the whimsical tales of Dr. Seuss, there is a duo named Guy and Sam. One is a grump who hates Green Eggs and Ham, the other is constantly pestering the other to try Green Eggs and Ham everywhere whether it's with a mouse, with a fox, in a box, on a train, in the dark, here, there or anywhere. After some prodding, Guy finally relented...and exclaimed that he truly did love Green Eggs and Ham after all. End of story...or is it?
    • The two who ascended here comes from an animated adaptation of the story that expands on their pasts more. In this one, Guy is a struggling inventor while Sam is part of an animal protection agency, but the two got involved after Guy accidentally took Sam's briefcase that held a smuggled Chickeraffe and Sam had to drag him to Meepville mostly because Guy's watching paint dry job and the Chickeraffe's home were coincidentally there. Through this adventure, the two would become closer and end up as friends all thanks to Guy's disgust of green eggs and ham.
      • The main difference between the versions is how Guy relented to eat green eggs and ham. From the book, this was more because Sam pressured him to eat until he gave him with no consequences. The animated version of Guy only ate it because he wanted to apologize to Sam after he accidentally told Sam that he didn't "fit" anyone, particularly the mother who abandoned him. When asked, Guy just mutters something that it was something he'd do on his own volition. It also helped that even when Sam asked Guy to eat it, he accepted Guy's "No" for an answer.
  • The two were heading off on an adventure to East Flurbia in an attempt to find Sam's Missing Mom when Guy decided to invent a rocket that would let them fly faster. Unfortunately, the rocket instead launched them into the gates of the Pantheon...and then exploded. With nowhere else to go, the two headed off to the House of Food to order a plate of green eggs and ham...where their author, Dr. Seuss, was also having his own plate of this. Dr. Seuss was proud that their adaptation was a success and decided that they needed a temple in the Pantheon to rest up, so he quickly had one built in the House of Narrative.
    • Once there, Guy and Sam were met up with the other Dr. Seuss deities: The Grinch, Horton, the Lorax and the Yooks and Zooks. Pinkie Pie was there with a Dr. Seuss-themed party while Sam whipped up green eggs and ham for everyone but decided to step back when the Yooks and Zooks began arguing whether to eat their green eggs and ham on toast butter side up or down.
    • Not long after, a slow moving car finally made its way to the Pantheon gates. Guy and Sam went to check it out and were both happy and worried to find Michellee and EB there. Michellee went on a rampage for Guy's reckless move before hugging him and being glad he's all right. EB herself was excited to see all of the cool animals in the Pantheon and was rushing to go see them...until Michelee activated her friendship bracelet to drag EB back to her side, stating that they were going to explore the Pantheon together. Guy and Sam were at least glad to have someone they knew up here and mother and daughter would essentially become their heralds.
    • The House of Family have noted that both Guy and Sam have different dynamics to family. Guy doesn't like his family much — not because they're abusive, no, they're the exact opposite — because he feels like his failures of being an inventor make him inferior to how successful they have been. Sam likes to talk about his mother was truly loving when in truth, she just abandoned him one day at an orphanage without explaining. Thankfully Guy has been able to understand that his family really does care for his success while Sam is hoping to be able to meet up with his mother once they meet up again in East Flurbia.
    • Despite Guy's romance with Michellee, there's many gods who see Guy and Sam's relationship in a different light. Guy just rolls his eyes at all of this nonsense while Sam is happy that people see them being very close.
    • What makes them different from most other Dr. Seuss gods is that their adaptation was believed to be doomed to failure from the start. However, once the gods got to see that it wasn't like it appears to be, Guy and Sam obtained lots of popularity from it. And then, they met up with with the god who was the current holder of the trope, (BROKEN) Matt Hardy and both Guy and Sam have conflicting opinions. Guy thinks he's an utter nutcase, while Sam decided to share a plate of green eggs and ham to go with Matt's green beans and had Guy build something as thanks. Guy decided to build another drone to Matt's fellow companion Vanguard-1...but a test flight caused it to explode, sending Vanguard-1 tumbling to the ground out of commission (thankfully Matt was able to ask the Seven Deities to recharge Vanguard-1). After this, Matt declared war on the two and is preparing the battlefield. for. massacre. The two wisely decided it was best to flee before Matt and Vanguard-1 appeared armed with Roman candle assault rifles.
    • Due to their experiences with what happened with Mr. Jenkins the Chickeraffe, both of them do not like those who hurt animals. Thus the two really dislike Cruella de Vil who wants animals slaughtered for her fur coats, Sam especially. If Sam had it his way, he'd probably send Cruella a Girooster (which are like Chickeraffes but with a darker plumage, love beans and like to chew people up and blow bubbles of their chewed victims) to teach her a lesson.
  • Exclusive to Guy:
    • Guy's still trying to work out the kinks of his inventions but every single one of them explodes after a time. Many gods in the Explosives sub-house suggest just turning them into bombs (since they're meant to go off anyway), but Guy's not the violent type. Still, he's not one to give up, and will do whatever he can until he gets at least one invention to stop blowing up in his face.
      • He found out he wasn't the only Bungling Inventor in the Pantheon and encountered the current holder of the trope, Flynn Lockwood and the tale of his famous FLDSMDFR. While Guy is glad that Flynn was able to work out the kinks of his invention, he prays that Sam never finds out about it else have the entire Pantheon raining with green eggs and ham.
    • Was impressed to find various children gods with their own treehouses, since he built an elaborate one by himself as a kid, but the one that interested him the most was from Sector V of the Kids Next Door. He's willing to improve their security system — seeing as their treehouse has a tendency to getting destroyed — and even invent some new weapons for them to test out. The KND are a bit wary, since they don't trust adults at all, but they do admit that the types of inventions and technology of his world would fit theirs so they accepted.
      • Another treehouse belonged to that of the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Guy was amused to find that it was built by Applebloom all by herself, and it is the headquarters of the Crusaders in helping others find their purpose. He admits that the Crusaders remind him of EB and hopes to help improve their treehouse (seeing as it's found within the frosty House of Prophecy)
    • Many gods are wondering about the lives of Guy's family: his father is a breadwinnernote , his mom is a homemaker, he has brothers who are movers and shakers and his grandpa moved mountains. Many gods have come asked Guy to learn more and more about their lives, but Guy basically shuts them up and states that if they want to know more about them then actually go to them and stop harassing him.
    • Guy spends a lot of time traveling and staying in hotels. Not only is it because he's trying to sell his inventions, but it was mostly due to the fact that he felt inferior to his successful family and wanted to avoid them because he felt that their sympathy was condescending. Thankfully he doesn't have to worry about spending up lodger points so quickly and actually wants to see what the Pantheon has to offer.
      • Has been very careful as to who he tries to show off his wares to in the House of Commerce, not just because he knows that many of the eviler gods are probably as bad if not worst than Snerz but also so that his inventions don't suddenly blow up in the middle of a presentation.
    • A lot of goddesses are questioning Guy's offhanded remark on him being a feminist. On one hand, he does respect Michellee and EB but he also did go along with Sam's plan to befriend EB to get closer to Michellee (With both EB and Guy stating that it was "messed up"). Guy, for his part, truly does hope to get closer to Michelee and will take it a day at a time.
  • Exclusive to Sam:
    • Sam can be found in the House of Food eating plate after plate of green eggs and ham. When asked why he does he usually just says it's his favorite. The real reason is that it's something his mom made for breakfast before she dropped him off at an orphanage and that he's trying to find the ones that taste just like hers so he knows what happened to her.
      • Thanks to Michellee, Sam is willing to cook a tofu-based version of the dish on the side.
    • Sam is known to be quite clingy and insensitive even though he doesn't mean to. Many gods state that he and Pinkie Pie would be perfect for one another. Sam decided to meet up with the peppy party ponie and they got along quite well. Pinkie directed Sam to her group of friends from Equestria and to her fellow Avatars of Friendship (Gentaro, Elena, KO and Steven). But when Sam noticed the album that had the Avatars, he noticed that there was a wrestling prior to KO's arrival. Pinknie explained that Bayley has left the group and turned cynical and won't be coming back for some time. Sam reassured her that Bayley would return, and in the meantime, he'll try to get her back with some green eggs and ham. Unfortuantely, Bayley found it irritating that he was even associated with her former friends and slammed him with a Bayley-to-Belly Suplex. She would've done more to him if Guy didn't intervene with a hugging robot to keep her in place (which exploded, like all inventions do). Bayley has hated the two ever since.
    • The House of Justice is really unsure about Sam. On one hand he is a con-artist/animal smuggler, on the other hand he did turn a new leaf and returned Mr. Jenkins to his home. For the time being, Sam is on probation and banned from the House of Beasts and Nature and Guy is making him take multiple Zoology courses in the Elysium University.
      • The House of Crime also is unsure what to think of him because, again, of his criminal past due to his friendly personality being genuine and that he's not as malicious as they are. When asked why he became a con-artist in the first place all Sam can say is, "It's nice to be wanted, right?"
      • That being said, Sam is disgusted with Hunter J and her tendency to capture Pokémon and turned them into bronze statues for a quick buck. Many gods would like to remind Sam that he was willing to sell Mr. Jenkins to Snerz to add to the CEO's exotic animal collection and have him chained up. Sam sheepishly agrees that yeah, he deserved that.
      • A hunter that Sam is unsure of is Mr. Fox since the major difference between them is that Mr. Fox hunts food and drink for him and his family to survive while Sam cons and smuggles animals mostly for money or the idea that being "wanted" will get his mother's attention. Another reason why they don't get along is because Mr. Fox reminds Sam of the other Fox he met on his journey — Michael the Fox — who was going through a green egg withdrawal due to trying to woo the heart of a hen he loves.
      • And speaking of thieving foxes, there was also Swiper the Fox who swooped in to steal Sam's picnic basket filled with green eggs and ham one day. Luckily Guy tricked him with an identical picnic basket that exploded with cream pies when opened.
    • The House of Friendship has felt pity on Sam since he constantly keeps changing personalities because no one ever stays long enough to be with the real him. Thankfully, aside from the Avatars of Friendship, Sam has found new friends that truly want to be with him.
    • Sam is known to have many similarities with Wander, being that he's a friendly hat-wearing guy who travels around the world trying to befriend others. That's the only similarities though. Wander disapproved of Sam's goal to initially send Mr. Jenkins to Snerz but forgave him after Sam pulled a Heel–Face Turn and sent Mr. Jenkins on a cold air balloon back home.
      • Due to this friendship, Sam is now on the hit-list of Lord Hater and Commander Peepers and especially Lord Dominator. Wander has warned Sam that Lord Dominator's a bad guynote  and that she won't accept friendship that easily.
    • If there is one thing that can ever make Sam's smile drop is mentioning of his mother or that he doesn't even "fit" her. Guy learned this the hard way and will defend him should anyone ever make that insult.
      • Many gods are trying to warn Sam that perhaps his mother just didn't want to deal with raising him and dropped him off for no good reason. But Sam rebuts that if she did such a thing why would she always make him green eggs and ham for breakfast? There's no way for certain for the motive, but many gods are advising him to not get his hopes up.
    • To any god who is vegan, he will hold their hand and reply with this:
Sam: Oh, I'm so sorry. How long have you known?
    • Sam screamed in terror when he heard about The Goat in the Pantheon, thinking it was the same animal smuggler that terrorized him and Guy on their adventure. Turns out, it wasn't, but he's still not going anywhere near said Goat for the time being.
    • Sam was confused when he learned of Jean Valijean's crimes because it reminded him of a mouse he met in jail and his particular crime (or perhaps it's the other way around and it was the mouse's crimes that reminded Sam of Valijean?)

On page 6262, I had two people approving of it. It's also because I don't do pantheon profiles these days because I feel like I'm inferior to all the other people who do it nowadays. I mean, I want to do an Infinity Train one badly but I felt like Green Eggs and Ham had a better chance (since their animated show is really good and they're a Trope Namer)

But yeah, I can see what you're getting at. I can't really explain the series because, if you didn't note above, faso just revealed one of the biggest spoilers of the show so I want people to watch it and then help me out.

Note to self: Never bet on Entei.

[up] Problem is, not everyone is able or willing to watch the show and help you out. You can ask but you don't have a time limit on this profile. You could take several months to do it but the bulk of the research falls to you to do.

Pantheon server for all who click here. Freaking lost $410 and I am hunting down for a nuke to reign down.

@Camilla are you only referring to the 2019 adaptation, or the work as a whole? It seems like you're going for the former, when the latter also fits the trope.
