Protagonists

    Dave
The game's protagonist, is a guy with a microwave for a head.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dave_33.png
  • Ambiguously Human: Besides the microwave head itselft, he looks human enough, but his stamina and endurance are not anything to scoff at and he's somehow fine with a microwave for a head. Eventually disputed by Word of God.
  • Blind Jump: He can gain this power via the use of the Terrible Teleporter. No way to tell where you'll end up though, so it's best used in emergencies only.
  • Compromising Call: His phone will randomly go off when dealing with S'veeve, Grubbler, or Slumbus, alerting each of them to his presence.
  • Cyborg: He's a human with a microwave for a head.
  • Improbable Weapon User: His only direct weapon in the game is a fidget spinner with knives attached to it called the Frenzy Fidget.
  • Non-Human Head: His head is a microwave, but his body is otherwise a normal human's.
  • Rage Quit: During the "Dave's Demotivation" event, he may randomly quit the game after receiving damage, which counts as a death.
  • Resurrective Immortality: If he dies during a level, Gatekeeper Berry resurrects him for another crack at the timeline.
  • Stealth Expert: He cannot typically fight back against the monsters, and needs to rely on stealth to survive.
  • Sweet Tooth: His encyclopedia page mentions he likes ginger snaps and Virgil's cream soda.
  • The Protagonist: He's the main protagonist of the game.

"Pay up or pay the price."
Click here to see him edgy.
A police branch set to go after anyone who's committed tax-related crimes.
  • Artificial Stupidity: He fires his gun during chases, albeit in the general direction he's facing and not specifically at you. His gun is also based on a timer instead of sight, so he'll still fire it even if he's facing the completely wrong direction because of him pathfinding around a fence or wall.
  • The Bad Guys Are Cops: He's a wannabe government member going after you for tax evasion.
  • Black Bead Eyes: Mainly relates to his designs. YFA has black beady eyes.
  • Canon Foreigner: He was the only at-launch character to not be a Guest Fighter or come from a different game originally, being created solely for Dave.EXE.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Don't pay your taxes? A member of their squad will come to give you a bullet to the head.
  • Hero Antagonist: The YFA (You're Fucked Agency) member is one of the game's killers, but they're not evil so much as disproportionately good.
  • Hypocritical Humour: Despite being a Rabid Cop hellbent on serving justice, he'll occasionally mumble about his gun licence having expired.

    BUNKY
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bunky_daveexe.png
Searching, seeking, hide while you can.
Click here to see him edgy.
A chainsaw-wielding monster.
  • The Bus Came Back: Originated in 2018's BUNKY.
  • Chainsaw Good: He swings around a chainsaw while hunting Dave.
  • Instakill Mook: He does two hits of damage instead of one, meaning he'll almost always serve as this.
  • Throwing Off the Disability: He was disabled and wheelchair-bound. Edgy Dave offered him use of his legs again if BUNKY agreed to work for him.

    The Florgin

Click here to see him edgy.

  • Interface Screw: When being chased, the player's screen will shake left and right.
  • Shockwave Stomp: He has no music, instead audibly stomping around the map.
  • Super-Speed: His main gimmick. He can zip around places rather fast despite his build.

    Duck?
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/duck_daveexe.png
They seek vengeance.
Click here to see it edgy.

  • Captain Ersatz: Its design is very similar to that of Perry's. Some of the clones will even occasionally spawn wearing the latter's signature hat.
  • The Horde: It can summon potentially unlimited duplicates to hunt you during a chase.
  • King Mook: It iself looks identical to its exploding minions, save for it being bigger and having an actual melee attack.
  • Made of Explodium: Its minions use explosive Suicide Attacks as their form of combat, despite not having any bombs on them.
  • Suicide Attack: Its doppelgangers run up to you and explode.

    Randy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/randy_daveexe.png
"I'm gonna rock socking kill ya!"
Click here to see him edgy.
A boxing robot ready to give you a TKO any time.
  • Authority in Name Only: He advertises himself in the radio broadcasts as being second-in-command to Edgy Dave. The latter doesn't use this nickname or give Randy any special treatment, and neither of them ever actually do anything that would suggest Randy is above the other killers.
  • Bare-Fisted Monk: Wields nothing but gloved fists.
  • Boxing Battler: He's a boxing robot who uses his fists as weapons.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Although this game is his debut, he's getting his own full game titled Rockem Sockem.
  • Honking Arriving Car: He'll begin honking upon getting close to Dave, complete with the sound and all.

    Lanky Lonky
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lanky_lonky_daveexe.png
"Trust me this is a good idea!"
Click here to see them edgy.
A character from Micro Horror Arcade.
  • Equippable Ally: His weapon is Lonky Lanky, another member of his species.
  • Fastball Special: He will occasionally throw Lonky as a projectile.
  • Made of Explodium: When thrown, Lonky Lanky will explode upon hitting something.
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted, as he and Lonky Lanky are palette swaps of each other but have almost identical names.
  • Rapid-Fire "No!": One of Lonky's lines just before getting thrown is him trying his best to object.

    S'veeve
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sveeve_daveexe.png
"..."
Click here to see it edgy.
A big ol' killer spider.
  • Giant Spider: S'veeve has the form of a giant spider.
  • Spiders Are Scary: It's a killer Giant Spider in a horror game.
  • Wild Card: It doesn't speak or even display any sapience. The Berrys aren't even sure if it's on Edgy Dave's team and only lean in to that theory because it doesn't eat them like it does everyone else.

    Glorguards
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/glorguard_daveexe.PNG
The Glorguards guard vending machines 20 hours a day, 5 days a week. At least they get the weekends off!
Click here to see one edgy.
Glorgos trained to protect the vending machines.
  • All There in the Manual: They're named Mope, Lars, Curlee, and Shimp in the encyclopedia (though which is which isn't mentioned), but they're only collectively called the Glorguards in-game.
  • Elite Mooks: They're supposedly Glorgos Edgy Dave trained himself to join his ranks.
  • Fatal Flaw: Even though their training is to protect the vending machines, their hearing and peripheral vision aren't the best, and they also won't wise up to being lured away.
  • Human Jack-O-Lantern: Their torches are fashioned out of the heads of Daves they've previously killed.
  • Portmantitle: Their names are derived from them being Glorgo guards.
  • The Sleepless: Their character quote mentions they work 20 hours a day, leaving them only 4 free hours to do anything, including sleep. Somehow they're fine.
  • Useless Accessory: They carry torches with them to light their paths, even though they have no eyes.

    Beans
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bean_5.png
"Better bounce, better flee, before I have captured thee!"
Click here to see him edgy.
A normal person being mind-controlled, poor guy.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: His helmet compels him into attacking anyone near him.
  • Fighting from the Inside: He'll occasionally regain control of himself for a few moments during chases.
  • Hypno Trinket: The lightbulb-shaped helmet he wears is designed to inject edge into his brain upon sighting Dave.
  • The Paralyzer: He'll occasionally shoot gum that halts your movement.
  • Shock and Awe: The high-power helmet he wears does cause him to have an electrical touch, but this electricity being used up overloads the helmet.

    The Wooer
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wooer_daveexe.png
He's still very upset over Dracula's demise.
Click here to see him edgy.
One of Dracula's old servants.
  • Eyeless Face: He has no eyes, but this doesn't stop him from seeing.
  • Knockback: He inflicts a great deal of it when attacking Dave.
  • Lightning Bruiser: While he's just as strong as the other killers, he has incredible speed and a significant amount of Knockback to him.

    Chef Prowlnos
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chef_prowlnos_daveexe.PNG
You're his next ingredient...
Click here to see him edgy.
Edgy Dave's personal chef, and just as deadly as his other teammates.
  • Ambushing Enemy: His main gimmick. He has no nearby theme and is invisible unless he's chasing or right next to Dave, becoming translucent depending on his distance.
  • Bizarre Taste in Food: According to his encyclopedia entry, he mainly cooks dishes out of Zombie Daves and walruses. He's also supposedly hunting Dave because he wants to turn the poor microfolk into his next main dish.
  • Composite Character: His backstory and overall idea are derived from Chef Prowler. His name is derived from Prowlnos, Patrick's nightmarish idea of Chef Prowler.
  • Real After All: In Around the Clock, Prowlnos only appeared in a segment that was revealed to be All Just a Dream. The fact that Edgy Dave managed to recruit him indicates in some capacity he does truly exist.
  • Suddenly Speaking: Inverted, as he was fully lingual in Around the Clock but only makes the same growls as the other Prowlers in this game.
  • You Don't Look Like You: Downplayed, since Around the Clock he got rid of his bib and swapped out his hat for one of different colours and proportions.

    Twilight
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/twilight_daveexe.png
"Being nocturnal is bonkers better than being under the sunlight all day."
Click here to see her edgy.
One of Edgy Dave's recent recruitments and Polarsnap's brother.
  • The Alcoholic: Her encyclopedia entry says she was first recruited in Edgy Dave's Biker Bar. From Word of God, she likes killing Dave quickly so she can get back to the pub.
Twilight: "Let's get this over with so I can head back to the pub."
  • The Voiceless: According to Word of God she can speak, but she never does in-game. Despite being mute in-game, she does have quotes attached to her on the game's soundtrack.

    The First
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_first_daveexe.png
"I will find peace soon."
Click here to see her edgy.
Elisabeth Moore, free from the depths of the Doom Facility, but in Edgy Dave's army.
  • In a Single Bound: Despite being a middle-aged seemingly mortal woman, she has the ability to lunge at Dave when she begins chasing him.
  • Knockback: Getting hit by one of her lunges results in Dave being knocked back some.
  • Sadistic Choice: When she escaped from the Doom Facility with nothing to survive off, Edgy Dave found her and seemingly offered her shelter provided she joined his ranks and killed for him.
  • Thinking Up Portals: According to her encyclopedia entry, she has the power to do this, but she never uses it in-game.

    Ducktor Dungy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ducktor_dungy_daveexe.png
"I just want to use my knives!"
Click here to see him edgy.
Sigjaw's duck-masked doctor, hired by Edgy Dave.
  • Deadly Gas: He sets up machines wired to begin pumping this stuff into the map whenever Dave empties a vending machine, killing the latter if they're not turned off in time.
  • Gas Mask Mooks: He wears a gas mask resembling an executioner's hood with an added duck-bill piece.
  • Goggles Do Nothing: His gas mask seems to be just for show, because Dave can acquire the same one as a cosmetic and yet it won't protect the fellow from the Deadly Gas.
  • Immune to Drugs: He's presumably this, since his gas mask is just for show and yet he has no reaction to his own Deadly Gas.
  • Only in It for the Money: From his voice lines, he makes it clear he isn't hunting Dave for enjoyment or revenge, just the paycheck Edgy Dave is giving him.
Ducktor Dungy: "Edgy Dave better give me a pay raise for this."
  • Pun-Based Title: His title is a portmanteau of doctor, his profession, and duck, what his mask is modeled after.
  • Secretly Wealthy: Edgy Dave hired him as an extra hand to keep Dave from ruining the former's soda production. According to Dungy's encyclopedia entry, the license to use Sigjaw's gas machines is secretly worth more than the soda production ever makes.

    Slumbus
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/slumbus_daveexe.png
"It is bedtime... for you... and for me."
Click here to see him edgy.
The creator of Sleepyland, on a quest for eternal silence.
  • The All-Seeing A.I.: You cannot hide from him when he is awake, he will always know where you are.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Slumbus's punishment for Dave waking him up by accident? Death.
  • Don't Wake the Sleeper: He sleepwalks around the map, in a state where he is blind and moves slowly. Unfortunately, waking him can't be helped.
  • Heavy Sleeper: When he's asleep, Dave's phone is the only thing that will wake him up.
  • Sleeps with Both Eyes Open: He sleepwalks around, but never closes his eyes. The tell is that he'll walk in an almost Zombie Gait when asleep, but runs with his arms up when awake.
  • Sleepy Enemy: His core mechanic. He sleepwalks around and gives chase whenever Dave's phone goes off.
  • Sleepyhead: Every moment he isn't chasing Dave, he spends asleep.

    The Grubbler
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/grubbler_daveexe.PNG
"Escaping me must've been pure luck. But next time, you'll be FUCKED!"
A tunneling creature intent on "grubbling" whatever he finds.
  • The All-Seeing A.I.: When Dave's phone rings, the Grubbler locks onto not just the location it rung at, but Dave's location in general. It's impossible to lose him until after he emerges from underground and begins the proper chase.
  • Ambushing Enemy: He moves about unseen underground. When Dave's phone rings, he'll pop out right next to Dave to give chase.
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": He's known as the Grubbler because "grubbling" is what he does.
  • Mole Monster: He only emerges from underground when pursuing Dave, being unseen otherwise.

    Polarsnap
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/daveexe_polarsnap.png
"What a pose!"
Click here to see him edgy.
Twilight's brother. He wields a camera capable of warping time.
  • Ambiguously Gay: The encyclopedia lists him as liking Edgy Dave a bit too much, and even his sister finds his obsession borderline weird.
  • Baddie Flattery: He'll occasionally remark that Dave has a good sense of fashion upon spotting him.
Polarsnap: "You've got some good fashion sense."
  • Intrepid Reporter: He was so entranced by Edgy Dave's movement that he joined the latter's ranks so he could be on the frontlines himself.
  • Large Ham: He speaks with a lot of dramatics, remarking on the excellent poses when attacking Dave and yelling that the show isn't over yet if he loses Dave during a chase.
  • Magical Camera: He has a camera capable of slowing down everything in the world except himself, including Dave.
  • Ow, My Body Part!: He'll yell about his face hurting when being killed.
    Polarsnap: Erh! My face!
  • Writing Around Trademarks: His name is Polarsnap, very similar to Polaroid, which was his original name and still is in the files.

    Megan Mechie
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/megan_mechie_daveexe.png
Scanning, patrolling...
Click here to see her edgy.
A refurbished waitress robot Edgy Dave outfitted.
  • Artificial Stupidity:
    • She fires her gun during chases, albeit in the general direction she's facing and not specifically at you. Her gun is also based on a timer instead of sight, so she'll still fire it even if she's facing the completely wrong direction because of her pathfinding around a fence or wall.
    • Instead of regular movement, she dashes a few paces forward in short bursts, meaning she often has trouble with stairs or mounting ledges, and will typically fly off the side of cliffs instead of going down them normally.
  • Lightning Gun: Her bullets glow and her gun deals no damage but inflicts the shocked debuff.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Her eyes turn red when chasing Dave.
  • Robot Girl: She's a robotic waitress.
  • Shock and Awe: Her gun shoots electric volts instead of any standard bullet. While they don't deal damage, enough electricity will result in Dave hallucinating.
  • The Speechless: She can't speak or even open her mouth. Her only form of communication is beeps and electronic screeches.
  • Wrong Line of Work: She was built to serve as a waitress. Edgy Dave uses her as a Killer Robot instead.

    Mr. Tea
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mr_tea_daveexe.png
"Steady now..."
Click here to see him edgy.
A teacup-hatted assassin.
  • Arbitrary Weapon Range: He can see and shoot at you from anywhere on the map, being the only killer with no limit on his sightline.
  • Artificial Stupidity: He's actually the only gun-wielding killer in the game to subvert this. Rather than chase Dave and fire wildly, he'll stop in place and aim specifically at the player.
  • Friendly Sniper: He acts rather posh and hammy, but is also willing to pump lead into Dave upon first sight.
  • I Am Very British: Almost all of his voice lines follow this, with him being portrayed as a posh gentleman.
  • Named After Somebody Famous: His name is a pun off of Mr. T.
  • Pun-Based Title: His name is a mix of Mr. T and tea, to go with his hat.

    Lumi
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lumi_daveexe.png
Don't fall for the cries of the frost bitten specter.
Click here to see her edgy.
A ghost who haunts the Moonlit Mountains.
  • Ambushing Enemy: Like Prowlnos, she is invisible unless she's chasing or nearby, but unlike the latter she actually has a nearby theme.
  • Artificial Stupidity: Upon seeing Dave, she has a delay before she begins chasing, likely to alleviate her being invisible.
  • Ascended Glitch: When she's nearby, doors will randomly open and close on their own. This was originally a bug before the devs liked it enough to adopt it as an actual feature.
  • Crocodile Tears: She uses this as a lure to get unsuspecting people to come closer so she can kill them.
  • Hates Being Alone: Despite being a killer ghost, she's implied to secretly be this. The player can find a message in Photobomb Lodge written by her complaining about the inhabitants abandoning her, even though she was the one who drove them out in the first place.
  • Static Screw: Close proximity to her results in the player's screen becoming filled with static.
  • Teleportation: She can randomly pop around the area when about to pursue Dave.

    Sylvester
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sylvester_daveexe_7.PNG
"I only have seven minutes to look at what you found."
Click here to see him edgy.
The leader of the Snitches.
  • A Father to His Men: Unlike Edgy Dave with his own employees, Sylvester isn't a Mean Boss to his Snitches, and they consider him a father to them.
  • Fourth-Wall Observer: He breaks the Fourth Wall often during his dialogue, such as him cursing his AI when he loses Dave in a chase.
Sylvester: "Too bad my AI is shit."
  • Losing Your Head: He has no lower jaw or neck. Despite this, his head stays in place as if he does and he doesn't die. He can even still talk!
  • One-Armed Warrior: He has no left arm, yet is just as powerful as every other killer.
  • Not So Above It All: Despite putting on a face as a cold, uncaring murderer, he'll occasionally drop a ligma or deez joke.
  • Papa Wolf: If one of his Snitches screams, he'll drop everything except chasing Dave to run to them.

    Your Friend
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/your_friend_daveexe.png
"Friend?"
Your very best friend! And also a mimic who wants you dead.
  • Death Seeker: It seems to be in pain, as it produces horribly distorted noises as the round goes on, eventually begging for someone to end it.
    Your Friend: "Please, kill, me-e!"
  • Eye Scream: It ripped out its own eyes during the peak of its Sanity Slippage.
  • Luring in Prey: Its voice lines clearly paint it to be trying to lure Dave in, calling him friend and trying to be compassionate.
Your Friend: "Where, are you, Friend?"
  • Sanity Slippage: From its encyclopedia entry and the worldbuilding within Craft Box, it's apparent it was held within the tower's depths for a long time and slowly driven insane by the isolation and Molten Edge it was exposed to.
  • Sense-Impaired Monster: Your Friend is completely blind, but to make up for it has impeccable hearing. If it hears Dave run, roll, or use an item, it'll charge to his location.
  • Static Screw: As it gets angrier, the background track will begin to have more static interference, though the player's vision is unaffected.
  • Villainous Breakdown: As the round goes on, it becomes increasingly more aggressive, and its voice lines change from calling out to its friend to screeches and pleads for help.
  • Vocal Dissonance: It's an inhuman monster, yet it has a voice similar to a young child. At first, anyways.

    Cursed Krussy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cursed_krussy_daveexe_7.png
"I cast down judgement upon ye."
Click here to see him edgy.
Mr. Krussy, looking far more demonic than ever.
  • Acoustic Licence: The player was never not be able to him hear announcing his judgement before its removal, likely so they wouldn't have been caught off guard with no chance to react.
  • Ambushing Enemy: Instead of wandering around normally, he'll occasionally emerge from the ground next to Dave and prowl around the area for a minute or so, then return to his tunnel.
  • Artificial Brilliance: When he had the ability, he was actually smart enough to not try to use his judgement when the map is indoors, as it would be useless.
  • Artificial Stupidity: His removed judgement ability showcased his eyes suck. His eyesight was so limited that Dave merely standing next to something tall was often enough for Krussy to not see him.
  • Enemy Summoner: Taking too long in a round against him will result in him summoning the Cursed Crew to assist in hunting you.
  • Giant Enemy Crab: He's a demonic crab who's quite a ways bigger than Dave.
  • The Darkness Gazes Back: He would occasionally look from the sky to see where Dave was. This ability has since been replaced due to how easy it was to dodge.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: His judgement ability, being him staring down from the sky, was completely useless if Dave was under a roof or indoors. For this reason, it was replaced with a different ability where he instead summons the Cursed Crew.
  • You Don't Look Like You: He's received a hefty change in appearance from his usual look.

    Hanako
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hanako_daveexe.png
*Giggling*
Click here to see her edgy.
An old doll with poison capabilties.
  • The All-Seeing A.I.: Once she sees Dave, she won't stop pursuing him until he places her offering.
  • Perverse Puppet: She's an old doll, and more than capable of killing Dave.
  • The Speechless: She doesn't speak at all. Even her quote is just ambient giggling.
  • Universal Poison: She'll poison Dave if she attacks, with only the offering being able to cure it.
  • Villain No Longer Idle: She sits at her pedestal for the first 30 seconds and then wakes up. Finding her offering and using it puts her to sleep for another 30 seconds.

    Shmackus Bonkus
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shmackus_bonkus_daveexe.png
He's gonna get ya!
An old discarded puppet, trying to forget "the accident".
  • Brutish Character, Brutish Weapon: He's a giant, muscular monster that swings an equally giant mallet.
  • Captain Ersatz: He was one of the "shumuppets" before being abandoned.
  • Noodle Incident: What "the accident" was is never stated; All that's known is that it caused Shmackus to be abandoned, it's something he'd rather forget, and it had something to do with microwaves.
  • Trauma Button: He's not evil, only being aggressive because the sight of Dave's head reminds him of "the accident".

    Cuddly Cutlery
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/artworks_eiiah7mqju3dnkpn_orkizq_t240x240.jpg
Risen from the rubble, they come back to haunt those who try to loot the Fork Factory.
The living mascots of the Fork Factory, now left to rot in mindless violence within its ruins.
  • The All-Seeing A.I.: They always know where Dave is and cannot be hidden from.
  • Anti-Climax Boss: Every other enemy in the game has their edgy version be faster, while the Edgy Cuddly Cutlery instead move slower than their ordinary counterparts.
  • Hell Is That Noise: Their movement is accompanied by the disturbingly realistic sound of cracking and sliding bone.
  • Non-Fatal Explosions: Somehow, they all survived the bombing done to the Fork Factory by the YFA relatively unscathed.
  • One-Hit Kill: While unintentional, they're able to do this easily due to their remarkably fast attack recovery and misshapen hitboxes.
  • Protect This House: In their current state, they serve as this to the ruins of the Fork Factory.
  • Skeletal Appendage: Some of them have black, mechanical bones visible where their appendages are worn away or missing.

Special Killers

    Edgy Dave
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/edgeman.png
"So you're the son of a bitch who's been stealing from MY vending machines!?"
A red, demonic version of Dave who serves as the Big Bad. He comes out if you take too long in a level or grab the Boxy, or during the Auto Edge event.

    Zombie Daves
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zombie_dave_daveexe.png
Their nubs are as deadly as they come.
Previous Daves have died at the hands of Edgy Dave and been reanimated by him for dark purposes. They spawn during the Zombie Invasion event.

    Glorgos
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/glorgo_daveexe.png
"I still don't know wtf these things are."
Killers that only come out during the Silent But Not On A Hill event.
  • Eyeless Face: They have no facial details other than their large, gaping mouths. Strangely, they do have sunken parts on their faces as though eyes should be present.
  • The Goomba: Besides their high numbers, they have no special gimmick to help them kill you.

    Devourer Of Electronics
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/devourer_of_electronics_daveexe.PNG
Hiding is futile...
A killer that only comes out during the Silent But Not On A Hill event.
  • TV Head Robot: He has a television monitor for a face, complete with the coloured bar screen being displayed.

    The Taker
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_taker_daveexe.PNG
It's coming for you...
A killer that only comes out during the Swept Into Shadows event.
  • The All-Seeing A.I.: It always knows where Dave is and moves to him, albeit really slowly.
  • Lone Wolf Boss: It isn't affiliated with Edgy Dave, it just wants to kill you for daring to trepass in its corrupted timeline.

    The Cursed Seeker
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cursed_seeker_daveexe.PNG
The hunt doesn't end until either one perishes.
A killer that only comes out during the Timeline Curse event.
  • All There in the Manual: The name Cursed Seeker is only present in the game's soundtrack. Both the encyclopedia and files merely refer to him as the Timeline Demon.
  • Developer's Foresight: It has a fully textured body, despite only appearing during an event that renders everything pure black or white.
  • Hell Is That Noise: In contrast to the otherwise quiet melodies of the cursed timeline, its chase theme begins with a loud record scratch with the rest of the "music" being comprised of its screams and roars.

    Proto-Nightmare
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/proto_nitemare_daveexe.PNG
GRAB HIM BY THE LEGS
The mergence of all three Prototype One bosses. They only come out during the Proto-Nightmare event.
  • Body Horror: Their body consists of three Prototype One bosses physically stitched together.
  • Fusion Dance: It's the merged form of the three Prototype One bosses.
  • In a Single Bound: It's capable of leaping directly to Dave's location.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Although they all work together to pilot their body into killing Dave, they almost never stop bickering and talking over each other.

    Glorgo Fragments
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/glorgo_fragment_daveexe_8.png
They're coming. You better run, you better hide.
Smaller Glorgos that hunt in far-closer packs. They only come out during the Forgotten Memories event.
  • The Blank: They have no facial details whatsoever. Strangely, they do have sunken parts on their faces as though eyes should be present.
  • The Horde: Their primary hunting tactic is hunting together and calling each other upon seeing prey.
  • Interface Screw: The edges of the player's screen will be lined with snow when Dave is being chased by one.
  • Zerg Rush: Upon seeing Dave, the Fragment will roar and alert every other one to also begin chasing.

    The Test
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_test_daveexe_7.PNG
A strange creature intent on maintaining eyesight on Dave. It only comes out during the Testing My Patience event.
  • The All-Seeing A.I.: It always knows where Dave is and can't be lost.
  • Artificial Stupidity: While walking through corridors and buildings it hugs walls so tightly its model will often clip through and be visible on the other side, warning the player it's coming.
  • The Darkness Before Death: Should it look at Dave for too long, the player's screen will become filled with dense black fog, from which it will run forward to give an instakill Jump Scare.
  • Instakill Mook: Its Jump Scare kills Dave immediately instead of dealing damage.
  • Jump Scare: It provides the game's only one when killing Dave during the darkness.

    Asylum Ghosts
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wailer_ghost_daveexe.PNG
They do not want you to leave.
Two ghosts who seek to haunt Dave. They only come out during the Wails in the Night event.
  • Ghastly Ghost: They're ghosts that seek to tear Dave apart for no real reason other than that they want to.
  • Glowing Eyelights of Undeath: They're ghosts with luminous green eyes.
  • Glowing Eyes of Doom: Their luminous green eyes are their most notable characteristic, and they're antagonists in the game.
  • The Goomba: They don't have any abilities to help them in a chase, and their chase range is even lower than some of the other killers in the game.

    Gourd Creeper
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gourd_creeper_daveexe.png
You better start running...
A mysterious pumpkin-headed figure. He only comes out if you take from the candy pumpkins.
  • The All-Seeing A.I.: When he charges after being out for a while, it's impossible to lose him until his timer ends.
  • Berserk Button: He only appears and attacks should Dave take candy from one of the candy-filled hollow pumpkins around the map.
  • Pumpkin Person: He has a pumpkin with two cutout eyeholes for a head.

    Ghosty Ghouls
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sheet_ghost_daveexe.png
Several ghosts that stalk Dave. They only come out during the Haunted Hijinx event.
  • Ambushing Enemy: They're invisible whenever not near Dave, turning translucent depending on their distance and becoming fully opaque when "attacking".
  • Bedsheet Ghost: Their design matches the idea closely, appearing much more like a hollywood ghost than the Asylum Ghosts.
  • Jump Scare: Their method of attack is to quietly glide up to Dave and become opaque and shout "Boo!" in his face.
  • Harmless Enemy: Getting their Jump Scare results Dave receiving the shocked debuff but nothing else.

    Rox
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rox_daveexe.PNG
ROAR
Berry the Boar's pet dinosaur. It only appears during the Prehistoric Expedition event.
  • It Can Think: While at first it seems like a mindless dinosaur, it'll audibly mutter things like "Huh?" and "What the fuck?" if it loses Dave in a chase.
  • One-Hit Kill: It immediately kills Dave on attack.
  • Swallowed Whole: Its One-Hit Kill attack depicts it gobbling Dave entirely. Unlike many versions of this trope, Dave does die from this.
  • Terrifying Tyrannosaur: It's by far the biggest enemy in the entire game, moves fast, and One Hit Kills Dave.
  • Unexplained Accent: It has the same voice as most of the Berrys, even though Berry the Boar, the one who presumably taught it to speak, has a unique voice from the other Berrys.

Other Antagonists

    The Toll Troll
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/toll_troll_daveexe.PNG
"You got to pay the Troll Toll if you want to get in the portal."
A Berry who blocks off the exit and demands payment. He only comes out during the Troll Toll event.

    Snitches
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/snitch_daveexe_6.PNG
"Where is my dad?"
Sylvester's minions. They only come out with Sylvesternote .
  • Floating Limbs: They have hands, feet, and head, but no arms, legs, or neck.
  • Losing Your Head: There is nothing connecting their upper jaw and above to the rest of their body, save for some Invisible Anatomy. Despite this, they're completely fine.
  • No Biological Sex: One of their ambient quotes is abruptly shouting that they lack sexual organs.
  • Papa Wolf: The sound of one of them screaming is enough to bring Sylvester running.
  • Prematurely Bald: They have balding hairstyles and no hair on top of their head, despite being small and sounding rather young.
  • Super-Scream: Despite being creatures with disconnected mouths and lungs that should logically be tiny, they're capable of screaming for long periods of time and loud enough to be heard from just about anywhere.

The Cursed Crew

    In general
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cursed_crew_daveexe.png
Cursed Krussy's minions. They only come out when you survive with Krussy for 2+ minutes.

    Cursed Bucko
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cursed_bucko_daveexe.png
"Better start running!"
The fastest and smallest of the group.
  • Cephalothorax: His arms and legs branch off his body, and he has no designated head.
  • Graceful Loser: All of his quotes for Dave losing him are various laughs.

    Cursed Squood
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cursed_squood_daveexe.PNG
"So many have tried to escape, you will be no different."
The all-rounder of the group.
  • Graceful Loser: Both of his quotes for Dave losing him are various laughs.
  • Stealthy Cephalopod: Unlike the other two Cursed Crewmates, he's completely silent outside chasing Dave.

    Cursed Paddy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cursed_paddy_daveexe.png
The slowest and biggest of the group.
  • Adaptation Name Change: In the original Mr. Krussy series, he was called "Patdick". The change to "Paddy" was likely to both be less on the nose and create more IP difference owing to this game being more commercialised than the Mr. Krussy series.
  • Interface Screw: At the start of his chase, he'll loudly roar, shaking the player's screen heavily for a few seconds.
  • Shockwave Stomp: He'll audibly stomp around, alerting the player to his presence early.
  • The Speechless: All of his 'lines' are various growls and moans, and he never speaks an intelligible word.

Bus Stop Berrys

    Momma Berr
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/momma_berr_daveexe.PNG
"How am I supposed to scam unsuspecting guys without a cute baby?"
Pink bear mother. Not good at keeping her son.
  • Parental Neglect: She loses her son an awful lot. It's possible to rescue her son, head into another timeline, then come back to find out that she's lost him again.
  • Quest Giver: She asks you to find her son, Baby Berr, when she appears. Doing so makes him spawn in your next timeline as a collectable.
  • Struggling Single Mother: She appears to be this at first, yet accidentally reveals when talking to Dave that it's just an act she uses to worm money off of people.

    Baby Berr
Momma Berr's son. Return him to his mother or give him to the Blacksmith, your choice.
  • Hated by All: He appears to serve as this. His mother asks you to find him not because she's worried about his safety, but just so she can use him to guilt people into giving her money. Dave and all six of his variants will also occasionally give some kind of Big "SHUT UP!" with his constant whining in rounds.
  • Hilariously Abusive Childhood: When you collect the kid, you CAN return him to his mother, but you can also take him to the Blacksmith and craft him into resources. You'll even hear the baby screaming if you press yes to confirm your choice.
  • Mouthy Kid: He'll respond with an angry "oh fuck you!" whenever he's told to shut up or quiet down.
  • Parental Neglect: Momma Berr doesn't seem to keep a good watch on him, since he's able to get lost incredibly often.
  • Teleporting Keycard Squad: Picking him up in a timeline immediately spawns Edgy Dave. It's never explained why.
  • Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: Despite being a baby, he's as bad of a pickpocket as his mother and swears just like any other Berry.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Despite being a baby, his voice is identically as gravely and deep as regular Berry's.

The Microwave Waifus

    In general
Three female microfolk found in Berry's Beach that grant you side challenges to do in exchange for charms.
  • Chromatic Arrangement: They use an analogous colour scheme, with Hana being blue, Pumpkin being yellow, and Money being green.
  • Non-Human Head: Just like Dave, they're all human in appearance aside from their microwave heads. They've even got hair!
  • Quest Giver: They each other three side challenges, with a an equippable charm should you complete their missions.

    Hana
Blue-themed and a large downer. She grants you the Stonk Rush charm.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/whatevs.png
  • Blue Means Smart One: In the Berry resistance, she's easily the one most focused on stopping Edgy Dave, supposedly leading missions against him while you're gone.
  • Goth: Her theme, as she wears dark clothing, has long, dark hair and a perpetual frown, and she's never seen in a cheerful mood.
  • Not So Above It All: She promotes herself as a no-nonsense downer. Despite this she has no hesitance to do things like call BUNKY a "blocky baka".

    Pumpkin
Yellow-themed and with a cheerful disposition. She grants you the Tuck'n Tumble charm.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/honse.png
  • Farmer's Daughter: Her theme, as she uses country styled dialects and wears traditional farmer's attire, such as the straw hat, overalls and her plaid shirt.
  • Girlish Pigtails: She has blonde pigtails, and she's also seemingly the most innocent of the resistance, wanting to do things like have picnics at the same time Edgy Dave and co. are trying to conquer the multiverse.
  • Precision F-Strike: Despite being the most innocent relative to the rest of the group, her opening quest is named "Get His Ass, Pardner" and her explanation of her final quest ends with the command of "send [Edgy Dave] to hell".

Side NPCs

    Baldi's Crew
Enslaved via control collars, they're stuck waiting for help.

    Dr. Gerbert
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dr_gerbert_poster_daveexe.png
"Zere has been a little, hmm, how d'you say, presence...It is little microwave man! Kill him! Kill him now!"
The one in charge of the Craft Box laboratory, and temporarily allied with Edgy Dave.
  • Bad Boss: On one of the posters in the Craft Box, he has instructed that in the event of Your Friend breaking out, employees should sacrifice themselves to buy time for Gerbert and Edgy Dave to escape.
  • Buffy Speak: He uses a very peculiar, buffy-like word choice when he speaks, such as him calling Edgy Dave "microman who is edgy".
  • Mean Boss: His tone to his employees on the broadcasts depicts him as being crabby and quick to get angry with them. He's also seemingly made no effort to retrieve their corpses even after Your Friend left the Craft Box.
  • Playing with Syringes: In one of his broadcasts, he's revealed to be fond of doing this, saying he wants to turn Dave into a "little pet" for himself.
  • Surrounded by Idiots: In the "Helping Hand" trailer, he's irate at having to tell the Glorgos once again not to eat their Zombie Dave coworkers.

Others

    Berry
See here.

    Vendeed
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vendeed_daveexe.png
An unused killer.
  • Chest Monster: From its name and "appearance", it seemed it would disguise itself as a vending machine, presumably giving chase when the player would attempt to use it.
  • Dummied Out: It has the normal three killer themes in the files, though no other data attached to it exists.
  • Fatal Flaw: Its reason for removal was likely for being too easy. The Chest Monster idea would only work if the player didn't know the map well, for if they did they would notice an extra vending machine.
  • Riddle for the Ages: Why would a Chest Monster need a nearby theme?
