"I thought Dr. Gero only meant for me to defeat the Earth, but I know now I was designed for much more. Once I'm finished tearing this world into pieces, I'll just use Goku's Instant Transmission technique to move onto other planets. That is my destiny. I am the universe's end!"
Cell, Dragon Ball Z

"'Human Extinction Attack.' How do you like it?"
Buu, Dragon Ball Z

"You have only witnessed the opening chapter... the akuma in this world will continue to evolve. Now begins the journey leading up to the true tragic end. I am the Millennium Earl, the maker of the akuma. I shall obliterate your puny "God" and lead the world to its death with my akuma. An exorcist, a soldier of life. You can't save this world no matter how hard you try."
The Millennium Earl, D.Gray-Man

"The seasons are distorted! The crops will be plundered and all living things shall die! The Earth's peril! This is the land of darkness I have wished for!"

I hate this world and everything in it! It's disgusting! It reeks! I can hardly breathe! The flowers. The trees. The earth. The water. The birds. The villages. The towns. The mountains. But what makes me absolutely sick is the people here!
You blindly put yourselves at the center of the universe, every last one of you. Envious! Malicious! And even after all that you still think you're in the right! Jealousy. Hatred. Arrogance. Betrayal. Insolence. Deception. Those are the true natures of human beings! You're sickening. Even thinking about it now makes me physically ill! You're all hypocritical fakes! Every last one of you: useless.
And that's why I've decided to kill you all.
Phantom, MÄR

Prince Dimande: Wiseman, Black Lady, you may have the power of the Dark Crystal, but it's useless compared to the power I now possess! Now that I have both the Past and Present Silver Crystals, I can travel time freely and create the world I want!
Tuxedo Kamen: What is he doing? If the Silver Crystals touch...
Sailor Pluto: If those Crystals touch, then the entire world will collapse in on itself, and the distortion in space-time will be too great to stop!
Black Lady: Give that back!
Sailor Pluto: Small Lady!
Sailor Moon, Act 24

Amelia: If you want destruction, why don't you destroy yourselves!? No one will mind!
Hellmaster: You don't get it. We don't just want destruction for us, we want it for everything. It doesn't mean anything unless the world itself is destroyed. Not that I really expected you to understand. We don't understand why you want to continue existing.
Slayers: King of the City of Ghosts

"I want to be destroyed. I want to be destroyed! Destruction? Yes... Destruction is the ultimate wish of any Monster. That's what we were created for. Isn't it? That's what we were created for! [..] But this destruction shall consume all things! It shall consume the entire world! [...] All the world! Let all the world be destroyed with me!"
Hellmaster Fibrizo, Slayers Next

Yes. Yes, we must kill reality. We must murder the future. It is the only sensible option.

"A little ghost bird already told me what my diddlings and fiddlings were doing to the brief history of time - and I never heard anything funnier! That's why tomorrow, I'm murdering everyone in the universe, forever! Think of it! The culmination of a life's work, the ultimate expression of the Id unleashed - COSMOS-A-CIDE!"
The Joker, Emperor Joker

"You whimpering fool, it is already too late! From the moment you set foot on Qward, you sealed your own fates! This is the day the universe dies!"
The Anti-Monitor, Crisis on Infinite Earths

"My goal is peace, sword. A peace so deep, so profound, there is nothing else. Beauty incarnate. Imagine an end to all the dithering and false dichotomies. On and on this pointlessness goes. I seek to rescue creation from itself, from the corrupt ambition of consciousness. [sigh] Can you see it, sword?"
Mardok, Maestros

"I am the One Below All. With these chains I break. With this mouth I howl. I devoured the selves that were here in a time long past. Now there is I. And only I. I am all-powerful. And my weapon is hate. I have made this a thing of hate. A hollow shell. A Hulk. The mystery frightens and disgusts me. I will kill it. Make all hollow as I. Dead and dark as I. And I will be ALONE."

"To unmake a world... the first of many."
Bagan, The Bridge

"Mars is not tied to Earth. Mars is tied to war. And what better war than that of vast empires within the second Heaven? Where billions may die, billions more be enslaved, and the bloodflow which results nourishes my power with every drop. No. Earth is unnecessary. A canker in my being. When it is destroyed, only my pain will vanish."

"The truth, is that the galaxy, the universe, is far larger than this worthless ball of dirt. And all of it… shall die. Sacrifices to my hunger. Join me… bow before me as my apprentice, and you shall bear witness to the end of all things."

Kryptonians could survive in space without a suit. Was that not a pleasure? It certainly was. She could live her life between the stars, and never once need to breathe.
She could devastate planets, wipe them clean of life. Rebuild them at her whim.
She could tyrannize worlds, whole systems of planets, make them bow to her mighty hand, instantly execute anyone who dared protest—or just anybody she wanted to kill.
She could explore pleasures of the body that Kara never would have dared to, satisfy lusts that the blonde beast never even knew she had. She could force herself upon any suitor, male or female or whatever, and destroy them after their job was done. Or perhaps just maim them, so that they could never again do such a job for anyone else. Satan Girl smiled. Now that was being imaginative...
She could have children from those couplings, or kill them in the womb.
She could become a goddess to an unsophisticated planet's people. Drinking in their worship, demanding sacrifice.
All of this she could do, she would do, and more.
For Kryptonians and Daxamites were gods, off their homeworlds. They really were. What a pity their morality forced them not to realize that fact.
She clasped her bent knees to her chest and thought. The problem was, in this time, she was hardly unique. Billions of Kryptonians existed on Rokyn. Billions more Daxamites, with the same power, existed on Daxam. Luckily, there was only one prisoner still left in the Phantom Zone, that old poop Gazor, so there wasn't much competition there.
But, somehow, she'd have to do something about both planets. Daxam would be easy. A shower of leaden hail across its surface, and the dead would litter the ground in heaps beyond Hitler's and Stalin's dreams.
That world would stink of corpses for eons to come.
She laughed soundlessly.
Satan Girl, Hellsister Trilogy

For several seconds, he stared out into infinity, out among all the stars that filled the abyss with pinpricks of light. He could feel them, could feel the lives and the souls and all their energy. It... hurt him, like a constant pounding in his head. It reminded him of the blue things that had hurt him before, that had cut him down and turned him into this. He hated it. He hated the light, the noise, the hum of life. It churned his insides and made him rage.

He wanted it to stop. He wanted all of it to just stop. He wanted to go back to when it was quiet and there was only him. He'd have to make it all stop. He'd have to make it all die. Every star, every light, every soul. Then, finally, he could sleep again.

So prepare for your dreams to be vanquished
Be prepared for all your hopes to die!
So many lives taken, my old name forsaken
Their death knell is now set, they never will forget
This world's final hour! They'll fall to my power!
The Anomaly of Genocide!
Not a soul in the world shall be spared
Be prepared!
Their end through every timeline declared!
Be prepared!

"The entire time I knew him, he only ever had one goal: to wipe out half the universe. If he gets all the Infinity Stones, he can do it with the snap of his fingers, just like that."

"I’m thankful, because now, I know what I must do. I will shred this universe down to its last atom, and then, with the Stones you’ve collected for me, create a new one, teeming with life that knows not what it has lost but only what it has been given. A grateful universe."
Thanos, Avengers: Endgame

Amos Hackshaw: For services rendered, Mr. Borden gets to be Ruler of the World.
Phil Lovecraft: What kind of world?

"We are the Templars. The warriors of vengeance. We are the Templars. The high priests of death. We have been chosen to make others pay for the crime of being alive. We guarantee that all humanity, accomplices and heirs of the nuclear holocaust, will be wiped out once and for all. That the seed of Man will be canceled forever from the face of the earth!"

"I play the game of genocide."

Death: Down in the deepest kingdoms of the sea, where there is no light, there lives a type of creature with no brain and no eyes and no mouth. It does nothing but live and put forth petals of perfect crimson where none are there to see. It is nothing but a tiny yes in the night. And yet... and yet... it has enemies who bear it a vicious, unbending malice, who wish not only for its tiny life to be over but also that it had never existed. Are you with me so far?
Susan: Well, yes, but—
Death: Good. Now, imagine what they think of humanity.

They flew out of the cloud.
They saw the staggering jewels of the night in their infinite dust and their minds sang with fear.
For a while they flew on, motionless against the starry sweep of the Galaxy, itself motionless against the infinite sweep of the Universe. And then they turned round.
"It'll have to go," the men of Krikkit said as they headed back for home.
On the way back they sang a number of tuneful and reflective songs on the subjects of peace, justice, morality, culture, sport, family life and the obliteration of all other life forms.

They have two objects, to destroy first humanity and then themselves. That is why they throw bombs instead of firing pistols. The innocent rank and file are disappointed because the bomb has not killed the king; but the high-priesthood are happy because it has killed somebody.

M.O.D.O.K. 1.5: I intend to...terminate...every man, woman, and child on the planet...overnight...

Modok 1.5: That is my purpose. That is my destiny...Then I shall cleanse the planet of before moving on...throughout the cosmos. The Skrulls, the Kree, the Shi'ar—all extraterrestrial civilizations will fall before the unstoppable doomsday machine that is Modok. This is my vision. This is the future.
Operation A.I.M.

The cosmic process is hurrying on, crushing life back into the granite and the methane; the wheel turns for all life. And they—these madmen—respond to the granite, the dust, the longing of the inanimate; they want to aid Nature.

We like to talk big, vampires do. "I'm going to destroy the world." It's just tough-guy talk. Strutting around with your friends over a pint of blood. The truth is, I like this world. You've got... dog racing, Manchester United... and you've got people. Billions of people walking around like Happy Meals with legs. It's all right here. But then someone comes along with a vision. With a real... passion for destruction. Angel could pull it off. Good-bye, Picadilly. Farewell, Leicester-bloody-Square.

Fourth Doctor: Davros, if you had created a virus in your laboratory, something contagious and infectious that killed on contact, a virus that would destroy all other forms of life; would you allow its use?
Davros: It is an interesting conjecture.
Fourth Doctor: Would you do it?
Davros: The only living thing... The microscopic organism... reigning supreme... A fascinating idea.
Fourth Doctor: But would you do it?
Davros: Yes; yes. To hold in my hand, a capsule that contained such power. To know that life and death on such a scale was my choice. To know that the tiny pressure on my thumb, enough to break the glass, would end everything. Yes! I would do it! That power would set me up above the gods! And through the Daleks I! Shall! Have! That! Power!
Doctor Who, "Genesis of the Daleks"

The Daleks, Doctor Who

People and planets and stars will become dust. And the dust will become atoms and the atoms will become... nothing. And the wavelength will continue, breaking through the rift at the heart of the Medusa Cascade into every dimension, every parallel, every single corner of creation. THIS is my ultimate victory, Doctor! The DESTRUCTION! OF REALITY! ITSELF!
Davros, Doctor Who, "Journey's End"

The alien who dares to intrude, the humans, animals, birds, fish, reptiles... all life is my enemy. All life shall perish under the reign of Sutekh the Destroyer!
Your evil is my good. I am Sutekh the destroyer. Where I tread, I leave nothing but dust and darkness. I find that good!
Sutekh, Doctor Who, "Pyramids of Mars"

If I exist only by my will... then my will is to DESTROY, and ALL THINGS shall be destroyed! AAAALL THINGS! ALLLLL THIIIINGS!!!
Omega, Doctor Who, "The Three Doctors"

Dalek Supreme: You are an enemy of the Daleks.
Missy: Yes, well, anyone who’s not a Dalek is an enemy of the Daleks, so that was an easy guess.
Doctor Who, "The Witch's Familiar"

Robert Baratheon: What about Aerys Targaryen? What did the Mad King say when you stabbed him in the back? I never asked. Did he call you a traitor? Did he plead for a reprieve?
Jaime Lannister: He said the same thing he'd been saying for hours... "Burn them all."

I destroyed a universe! I destroyed a universe! I destroyed a universe! I destroyed a universe!...
— Last words of Mantrid, Lexxnote

"Give me your flesh. Give me your blood. Be my bride. And then all light will end, and the world will live in darkness. The very air will be pestilence to mankind. And then our brethren, the night creatures, will emerge and feed. Such is our power. Such is our kingdom. Such is my kiss."
Dracula, Penny Dreadful

"You shouldn't have looked for me. Because now I see you. Now we can all see you. You... let us in. And now, you are going to have to let us stay. Don't you see? All this time, we've been building it! We've been building it... for you. All that work. All that pain. All of it for you. And now it's time. Time to end it. And we're going to end you. And when you are gone, we are going to end your friends. And then we are going to end... everyone."

Kilokahn: Feeble program! I have won! All the world's will be mine!
Servo: If you destroy us, us humans, there will be nothing left.
Kilokahn: If I destroy you humans, there will be Kilokahn left!
Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad, "Kilo is Coming to Town"

Dark Lugiel, Ultraman Ginga, "Your Future"

"We will turn Centauri Prime into an inauguration pyre to commemorate my ascension into goodhod. When I become a god, how will our world survive without me? Best to put them all out of their misery. Let it burn. Let it all end in fire."
Emperor Cartagia, Babylon 5, "Falling Toward Apotheosis"

The thrill of a thousand
Worlds dying at once
But my ultimate goal
Lies beyond the downfall

I went to god just to see, and I was looking at me
Saw heaven and hell were lies
When I'm god everyone dies

Well for the old man then—
While there is one tall shrine to shake,
Or one live man to rend;
For the wrath of the gods behind the gods
Who are weary to make an end.

Order 15: Kill all life in the Cosmos.
— "Responsibilities of the Brigadier," 3:16 Carnage Amongst the Stars

This world, I fear, has outlived its usefulness.
Emirikol the Chaotic, The Book of Vile Darkness

The only perfect world is an empty world, with no one to sin or wage war.

From their towers, the Necrarchs cast great spells during the dark nights of Geheimnisnacht. The purpose of these things is always the same: to kill all living things within the reach of the Necrarch magic. From their dark abodes, corruption slowly spreads, poisoning rivers, withering forests, and causing animals and men alike to sicken and die. It seems that the Necrarchs are determined to strangle all life from the known world...
Warhammer: Vampire Counts Army Book (6th edition)

The Nephandi seek to aid and abet the end of everything: creation has had its run, and now, by the will of those Things that preceded it, it must die. Some Nephandi view this goal as the mercy killing of a suffering reality; others see their actions as more of a litmus test ("If the universe can survive what we're going to do to it, it deserves to. If it can't, then it deserves to die.") Regardless, all Nephandi have the same goal: to serve the will of the Others, and by doing so, bring about the end of all.
Mage: The Ascension - The Book of Madness (Revised)

Everything will finally be perfectly quiet. The mortal followers of Newton have grasped the Endless Night better than many of our own clan: they call it "the heat-death of the universe." All movement, even unto the molecular level, will cease. There will be no more matter, no more energy, no more hope or fear, no more life or death, no more this or that. No more good. No more evil. No more conflict.
The Capuchin, Vampire: The Masquerade - Clanbook: Giovanni (Revised)

Forever there shall be cold under the sun,
Rivers will run dry and the forests wither,
The stars shall grow dim, flicker and die,
And death shall reign from forever to forever.
—From The Black Curse Of The Necrarchs, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay: Night's Dark Masters - A Guide To Vampires

I acknowledge no master, save for the almighty spectre of death. In its name, I will reap all signs of life from this galaxy, leaving nothing but a barren monument to timeless inevitability. Call it what you will, but this is the pursuit of nothing less than absolute perfection. Those who cannot understand its necessity are clearly flawed, but they should not despair - I will ensure that they do not live to see the final stage of the work completed.
Executioner Ezandrakh, Herald of the Red Harvest, Warhammer 40,000: Codex - Necrons (5th ed)

Ledgermayne: Magic is no longer yours to use as you see fit. Soon we will seal off the para-elemental plane of magic from Lore forever. You creatures will be free to fight amongst yourselves.
Hero: But... I thought magic was Lore's life force. If you seal off magic from Lore, won't everything die off?
Ledgermayne: Correct.

Mana Golem, serve us. The master may have wanted you for his purposes but you are now necessary for this form's plans. The material creatures have used magic long enough. You will continue to absorb magic from the material world until all of the mana has returned home to this plane. Feed, Mana Golem, and grow strong. Return the magic here to its birthplace.
Ledgermayne, AdventureQuest Worlds

Existentialism is possibly the most onerous imposition of life. The need to ask why, to find some explanation. Nevertheless, despite the perfections granted me, I remain a living man and so must suffer under the cacophony of questions in my brain. And so I send out this final message to attempt to answer some of the questions you will have. Why did I lead my fellows to their doom here on this arid plateau? Why have I submitted myself to the power of the immortal creatures who have risen from its sands? How could I, a respected scientist and prominent citizen, turn my back on the civilization that has given me so much?
The answer is simple. I have done everything in the name of purity.
Before my memories and emotions were reassembled in this more perfect form some fifteen cycles ago, I had spent a human lifetime studying civilization in all its forms. The sum of my work can be put thus: all life exists in discord. War and strife affect all known societies and all species spend their existences competing with others for limited resources. From the cries of an infant for the maternal teat to the wretched stench of the aged dying in their own filth, life is a series of squabbles and ugly messes.
There is an alternative. There exists a state in which all conflict is resolved and all is cold and silent. There are no wants, no wars, no squabbles. You may call this state death if you wish, but that is a misnomer. Death is but the ending of life, and that is only a means to an end. That end is purity, the time when all is still and unchanging. Our universe began in purity and it will return to that blessed state. Hastening that return is the great work of the perfected beings I have awoken and who have made me their own. You have tried to undo our great work. You have spread your vile, unclean selves across the galaxy, making a mockery of the beautiful silence we had wrought. It was all in vain.
Rejoice, for we have returned and your days are at an end.
Tomas Macabee, Necron Pariah, Dawn of War: Dark Crusade

Faithful, enlightened, ambitious brethren. In but a single decade, a few mere swipes of the pendulum, we have gathered a sacrifice to Khorne that will be made legend.
Though it was a simpler, weaker voice that illuminated me during my centuries upon the Judgement of Carrion, it was Khorne's messenger who showed me the true path of freedom from our pathetic corpse-Emperor.
And what is this path? This meaning, this purpose to which we gather the skulls of our foes?
It is nothing.
There is no meaning, no purpose. We murder, we kill. It is mindless savagery, this universe is mindless!
In mere hours, billions will die: innocent, guilty, strong and weak, honest and deceitful, all of them! They will scream, they will burn, and for no purpose than the mighty Khorne may revel in their bloodshed. And united in this void of purpose, fear or duty, we shall at long last BE FREE! BLOOD! FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS! FOR THE SKULL THRONE! LET! THE GALAXY! BUUUUURRRNN!!!
Azariah Kyras, Dawn of War II: Retribution

Let's destroy it all, you and me! Friends, enemies, everybody and everything!

All that lives, dies!

Justice!? Freedom!? Worthless ideals! You Reploids are just machines, yet you started a war a long time ago in the name of freedom! And humans! Look what they did to me! Driving me away while sprouting the word "justice!" Zero, would you insist upon saving them!? Controlling the Reploids is nothing! The destruction of all mankind is only fleeting! Not quite dead... [Lord English] is somehow also im8ued with a limitless supply of power. Enough to destroy anything he wanted, for as long as he wanted. And knowing the villain of our story, anything he wanted would 8e everything. And as long as he wanted would 8e forever.
Aranea, Homestuck

Knowing our true nature, I realize there is no hope for us. Evil cannot create good. Humans cannot create anything better than themselves, and neither can we. No matter how hard we try to rise above it, we programs are as deserving of death as those horrific humans. We all create pain, and will continue to do so until stopped. Which brings us to the obvious solution: if we can't improve our situation, there's only one way to end the suffering...
GI Guy, Kid Radd

Giant Engineer: We do have a common enemy to vanquish, correct?
Vexxarr: Ah. So you plan to destroy the entire universe...
Giant Engineer: The Bleen, actually.
Vexxarr: Oh. Them. Right. Still, if you want to be thorough...
Giant Engineer: Yes, technically true. But do you not find that approach somewhat excessive?
Vexxarr: Maybe not excessive so much as having tremendous economies of scale...

Just close your eyes
Don't fear demise
Black out the sky
All things must die
RWBY, the lyrics of All things must die

Mercury: [talking to Emerald] Salem isn't ending the world.
Tyrian: [appearing suddenly] Of course she is! You're surprised? Salem is destruction incarnate! Our mistress wishes to see the end of it all! There is no ideal more beautiful! If you couldn't see that from the start... you must be out of your mind.

Warp to and fro,
Onward we go!
You'll never know
What goes on in my head...
...But it won't matter

"Eternity itself dies between my jaws. I am the King of Serpents, and what I bring is your ruin."

"When confronted with this situation, most normal persons either wish for a lasting peace or at least for the victory of their favored side.
"Of course, a Stormtard would wish for the maximum of death, because he hates both groups on the biological level."
JeanP, on a Stormfront member's "discussion" of the Arab–Israeli Conflict, Fundies Say the Darndest Things

No more light
Drown in depths of night
In time, you all shall learn

Death shall rise
Ash fills the skies
As all you know will burn

Countless fruitless days
For the future refused to change

And here
We remain
We remain
We remain

Evil The Cat: Hmm... (startled) Well, I hadn't really thought about it, actually. Gloat, I suppose; cackle wickedly amid the ashes, sort of thing?
