Characters / Digimon - Olympos XII

Go To

The Olympos XII are a group of twelve powerful God Man Digimon who manage the Digital World: Iliad, which exists on a different Server from the Digital World ruled by Yggdrasill, run by a host computer known as Homeros, who recognizes their magnificent power.

The members of Olympos XII protect their own domains while maintaining a position of neutrality regarding the incidents which arise in the Digital World, but some Digimon with a similar goal, like Plutomon, are excluded from their number due to their cruelty in its pursuit. The forces that defy the will of the Olympos XII and oppose them in battle are never-ending, to the point that the hatred of the Digimon they've defeated has been reborn as Titamon, who seeks to have their heads.

The Olympos XII possess abilities rivaling those of the Royal Knights, so the knights have not felt the need to personally interfere in Iliad's affairs. It seems that because of Yggdrasill's will, the Royal Knights will eventually cross Servers to the Digital World: Iliad Server and meet the Olympos XII. Whether the Royal Knights and the Olympos XII end up engaging in war or forming an alliance remains to be seen.

Olympos XII

     Group as a whole

    Apollomon

Apollomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/apollomon_1.png
Debut: Digital Monster Card Game Alpha
Attacks: Solblaster, Phoebus Blow, Arrow of Apollo; (Dub) Sunball Blast/Solblaster, Sunfire Punch/Foibos Blow, Sun Punch Arrow/Arrow of Apollo

A God Man Digimon that is one of the Olympos XII, it conceals solar-class flame energy. This energy has the terrifying power to smelt all substances, and its almost heartless fervor and pride are barely restrained. Apollomon is based off of the Greek/Roman god of the sun, Apollo.

Apollomon is the final evolution of Coronamon, and is partnered to Koh. It's also an unofficial member of the Big Death-Stars by proxy of being one of the Death Generals in Digimon Fusion.

Apollomon Whispered

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/apollomon_whispered_7.png
Attacks: Nageki no Taiyounote , Arrow of Whispered; (Dub) Rising Sun of All Sorrows, Whispering Arrow

Apollomon Whispered is a form taken by Apollomon when it is under the control of the program known as "Whispered". Whispered turns Apollomon's body dark blue, and acts with evil intent. When DigiXrosed with DeadlyAxemon, it takes the form known as Apollomon Darkness Mode.

    Bacchusmon

Bacchusmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bacchusmon.png
Debut: Digimon Collectors
Attacks: Cook of the Hell, Party of the Heaven, Rebirth of the Dead

One of the Olympos XII, it styles itself the Digital World's foremost drinker. It is very caring with a cheerful personality, and gathers Child or Adult Digimon to hold parties day and night. Because it is able to distill any kind of alcohol within its body, it is said that at parties it answers the requests of the Digimon it has befriended and treats them to alcohol. It prefers the taste of fruit wine, and its favorite fruit wine is something fermented from the sweets borne by the "Karpos Hulē" forest carried on Ceresmon's back, so whenever it can snatch a moment it eagerly requests Ceresmon to "let me brew fruit wine". For that reason, it is on very good terms with Ceresmon, and they often act together. Also, the data of Bacchusmon's distilled poison has become an object of study for the Crack Team, and the rumor questioning whether Bacchusmon's poison data is related to the preparation of bacteriological weapons and is part of a plot to assassinate an important person is whispered as if it were true. Bacchusmon has a secondary form called "Crapulence Mode".

  • The Alcoholic: It's the Digital World's foremost drinker, and is able to distill any kind of alcohol that it intakes.
  • Beast and Beauty: With Ceresmon. Its favorite fruit wine comes from the Karpos Hulē on Ceresmon's back, and as such it's often seen working with her.
  • Belly Mouth: Has an absolutely big one. It exhales a purple vapor in Crapulence Mode.
  • Big Fun: It's the most rotund of the Olympos XII, and is always hosting parties.
  • Characterization Marches On: Its Reference Book profile and its only existing card suggest that its appearance in Crapulence Mode is actually its default state.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: It's a virus Digimon, and is probably the most jovial of the Olympos XII.
  • Expy: Bacchusmon heavily resembles Fat Buu from Dragon Ball Z, right down to his skin color, round body, and the purple cape.
  • Depending on the Artist: Exactly how many rows of teeth it has in its Belly Mouth depends on the work it appears in. Most works give it three rows of teeth, but Digimon Collectors gives it four.
  • Eyes Always Shut: Its tiny head always has its eyes closed.
  • Intergenerational Friendship: His parties involve Child and Adult-level digimon, all of which are several levels below him.
  • Life of the Party: It gathers Rookie and Champion Digimon to hold parties with, lasting all day and all night, and continually answers the requests that its guests give it.
  • More Teeth than the Osmond Family: That mouth in his stomach has rows and rows of them.
  • Poisonous Person: Has a natural poison that the "Crack Team" is very interested in.
  • Snake People: It has a long serpentine tail behind it.
  • Tiny-Headed Behemoth: The Belly Mouth is not its actual head. It has a smaller, Buu-like head on top of it.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: The wine made from the grapes in Ceresmon's forest.

Bacchusmon Crapulence Mode

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bacchusmon_crapulence_mode_transparent.png

This data glutton turns alcoholic drinks into its strength!

  • Alcohol-Induced Idiocy: Presumably what "Crapulence Mode" involves, since the word means "sickness or indisposition caused by excessive drinking" or "excessive overindulgence".
  • Breath Weapon: Its Rebirth of the Dead is a destructive beam fired from its Belly Mouth caused by him getting drunk enough that his markings turn pale.
  • Marked Change: He gains glowing lines all over his body when in "Crapulence Mode". This change is only visible in Digimon Collectors and Digimon Crusader. While Digimon New Century has different artwork for each form, it gives them identical models in-game.
  • Super Mode: This mode is only distinguished from base-form Bacchusmon in Digimon Collectors, Digimon Crusader, and Digimon New Century.

    Ceresmon

Ceresmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ceresmon.png
Debuted in: Digimon Crusader
Attacks: Fruits Flechette, Famisnote , Island Freefall, Burning Blood Shell

One of the Olympos XII, Ceresmon is a monstrous, gigantic bird Digimon that carries on its back the "Karpos Hulē", a forest bearing the Digital World's greatest sweets and famous fruits. With a body composed of rocks and rich, fertile soil, Ceresmon's soaring form is definitely the epitome of an island floating in the sky. Sitting on the head of Ceresmon is "Ceresmon Medium", which serves as its true form. "Ceresmon Medium" has practically nil fighting strength and so rarely, if ever, comes out in public on its own, but it is said that it will occasionally show itself unattended by the monstrous bird to those who earn its trust. Its personality is filled with gentleness and a kind heart, and it's said that it holds out the kindness of its Karpos Hulē to hungry Digimon, and shelters injured Digimon in its woods until they recuperate. However, it will reverse its attitude and bring terror as if a demonic forest to those who forget the blessings granted by the forests and land, and unnecessarily injure the trees or pollute the soil.

  • Beast and Beauty: With Bacchusmon. Its favorite fruit wine comes from the Karpos Hulē on Ceresmon's back, and as such they're often seen working together.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Ceresmon is kind and generous, unless you hurt nature. Then you're in big trouble.
  • Earth Mother:
  • Gaia's Vengeance: Ceresmon is highly protective of nature, and viciously attacks those who would harm the natural world.
  • Genius Loci: Ceresmon looks like an enormous, flying island.
  • Gentle Giant: Most of the time, anyway. This applies both to Ceresmon and Ceresmon Medium; while Ceresmon is described as gigantic, the Medium is of sufficient proportions to be visible compared to the avian body.
  • Giant Flyer: A bird Digimon vast enough to bear an entire forest on its back.
  • Green Thumb: It is a bird Digimon that grows an entire forest on its back.
  • Turtle Island: A flying, avian variant, with the "Karpos Hulē" upon her back.
  • Nature Is Not Nice: While a benevolent God Man Digimon, it will become a terror to those who harm the Karpos Hule forest on its back.
  • When Trees Attack: Ceresmon and its Medium both get this way when you piss them off despite the latter being much weaker than the former.

Ceresmon Medium

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ceresmon_medium.jpg
Debut: Digimon Crusader
Attacks: Fruits Flechette

A monster shaped like a goddess. This is the true form of Ceresmon, usually enshrined on top of its head. It is also a potential Mega level by itself, and is evolved from Saki Kimishima's Floramon.

  • Buxom Beauty Standard: It has quite a well-endowed chest.
  • Clipped-Wing Angel: Ceresmon Medium is much weaker than her larger form.
  • Cool Mask: It wears a mask with a headdress that looks like flower petals.
  • Gaia's Vengeance: Its description in Digimon Crusader is just that last sentence about it being a Gaia's Avenger-type despite this form's lack of power.
  • Garden Garment: Most of Ceresmon Medium's clothes appear to be made of plants, including the flowers on her shoulders.
  • Most Common Superpower: In this form, it is shown to have quite endowed chest.
  • Stripperiffic: Ceresmon Medium shows a lot of skin, along with low-cut pants and semi-transparent leggings

    Dianamon

Dianamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dianamon.png
Debut: Digital Monster Card Game Alpha
Attacks: Crescent Harkennote , Arrow of Artemis, Goodnight Moon

A God Man Digimon that is one of the Olympos XII, it presides over water and ice, and is able to fight even when the surroundings are below absolute zero. Just as the moon has two sides (light and dark), its personality is of a two-sided nature, and its beauty conceals a terrifying power.

Dianamon is the final evolution of Lunamon, and is partnered to Sayo. It's also her partner in her bonus missions in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth.

  • Bishounen Line: Dianamon is a fully humanoid figure and has shed most of the rabbitlike traits of her most common line.
  • Combat Stilettos: She has moon-shaped heels.
  • Dance Battler: Retains this from her Crescemon days.
  • God of the Moon: Dianamon is based on the Roman moon goddess Diana and is known as the "Moonlight God".
  • Gold and White Are Divine: In Digimon Linkz, being mutated by Volcanicdramon turns the blue parts of her armor and weapon gold while leaving almost everything else unchanged.
  • An Ice Person: Dianamon has over associations with water and ice.
  • Lady of War: A very graceful full-armored warrior with a penchant for being a Dance Battler.
  • Moon Rabbit: Downplayed. While her moon motif is in full form, most of Dianamon's rabbitlike traits are now just the leftovers of Morphic Resonance with the earlier forms of her classic line, like the extra blades of her helmet resembling Lunamon's ears.
  • Morphic Resonance: Her design continues the running Moon Rabbit theme of Dianamon's evolutionary line, although it's less pronounced that before. Her helm still has what looks like bunny ears, though.
  • Palette Swap: Her mutant form in Digimon Linkz changes the blue parts of her armor to gold and her pink ribbons to blue.
  • Sadly Mythcharacterized: Downplayed. Dianamon's design focuses so heavily on the Cosmic Motifs of the moon that it leaves most of Artemis/Diana's mythology by the wayside, except perhaps an oblique reference to the goddess' connection to wild animals through the Moon Rabbit trope.
  • Sailor Senshi Send-Up: Having crossed the Bishounen Line to jump into battle with her skirt, her boots, and her gloves, Dianamon could pass for a heavily-armored Sailor Moon.
  • Shout-Out:
    • To Goodnight Moon, which is not only the name of one of her attacks, but the sleeping crescent moons guarding her legs are named the Goodnight Sisters.
    • As a Sailor Senshi Send-Up, she's one to Sailor Moon.
  • Silk Hiding Steel: Dianamon's "beauty conceals a terrifying power".

    Junomon

Junomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/junomon.png
Debut: Digimon Collectors
Attacks: Love Basket, Needle Hive, Grace Lance

One of the Olympos XII, Junomon is Jupitermon's partner. It stands upon the battlefield as a lover and defender of Jupitermon's, where it predicts, detects, and eliminates the insurgents who defy Jupitermon's will. Maybe it's because of its profound love for Jupitermon and personality overflowing with affection, but it has a grasp on all Jupitermon's habits.

Junomon Hysteric Mode

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/junomonhysteric.png
Debut: Digimon Collectors
Attacks: Welcome Lost, Lingrudge, Liar Banishment

Another form of Junomon, it was an evil personality sleeping within the innermost depths of its heart, but was awakened. The forces opposing its beloved Jupitermon are never-ending, and if their time together diminishes, it begins drowning in the darkness of its jealousy. Its vitality gradually drains from its countenance, and when it is entirely filled with darkness, a mask of another face manifests. The surrounding Digimon that it sees through this mask are all perceived as evil, so it runs the whole gamut of slaughter. However, this form is never noticed by Jupitermon, so it never suffers the judgment of good and evil.

  • The Berserker: Any Digimon she sees while in this form are seen as enemies and attacked brutally.
  • Blade Below the Shoulder: The tentacles from her cape have expanded to become sleeves and the lances on the ends are now wielded as these.
  • Chained by Fashion: She now has a locket whose golden chains widely encircle her robes. Chains also wrap loosely around what are now her sleeves.
  • Chain Pain: Her Lingrudge attack crushes he enemies with its chains.
  • One-Hit Kill: Her Liar Banishment conjures a hologram of Jupitermon that obliterates any Digimon that looks at it.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: After transforming into this berserk form, a pair of glowing red eyes can be seen peering out from the hole at the base of her mask.
  • Superpowered Evil Side: This form is born from the darkness in the depths of Junomon's heart.

    Jupitermon

Jupitermon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jupitermon.png
Attacks: Mabolt, Punish Judge, Wide Plasment

One of the Olympos XII, Jupitermon is a Digimon god that rules over thunder, weather and the skies. It is always judging good and evil on the battlefield, and metes out divine punishment to those who choose evil. It makes the decisions dispassionately, wholly excluding any emotion from its judgments. It is said that if someone who continues to disagree with Jupitermon's judgment challenges Jupitermon and wins, the judgment will be overruled, but it said that none yet exist who could overturn it. If it exchanges blows with the opponent using the hammers in both of its hands, it is able to summon tiny thunder clouds.

Jupitermon is the final evolution of Aegiomon and the protagonist of Digimon Crusader.

  • Everybody Loves Zeus: This take on Jupitermon is noble and high-minded, unlike his namesake's reputation for philandering.
  • Female Angel, Male Demon: Inverted in regards to his relationship with Junomon. He is a vaccine Digimon, which are usually associated with angelic Digimon, and is a Knight Templar at his worst. He also wears a golden armor, fights with lighting and his main job is judging Digimon as either good or evil.
  • God of Thunder: He's based on Zeus's Roman counterpart, Jupiter.
  • Gold and White Are Divine: He wears golden armor with a white cape and is the leader of a group of Digimon based on Greco-Roman deities.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: For some reason, he doesn't seems to notice some of Junomon's more violent tendencies.
  • Might Makes Right: He will make sure to utterly destroy any Digimon he considers evil, but you can overrule his verdict... if you can actually defeat him... someone who can actually do it has yet to appear.
  • No Body Left Behind: His Wide Plasment completely disintegrates anything it hits.
  • Sadly Mythtaken: Jupitermon is a highly morally-minded, dispassionate and unemotional being, quite unlike the borderline hedonistic, self-indulgent and highly emotional Greco-Roman deity.

Jupitermon Wrath Mode

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jupitermonwrath.png
Debuted in: Digimon Crusader
Attacks: Wide Plasment, Keraunos Divide, Lightning Be, Dios Thunder

Jupitermon, who usually makes judgments without any emotion, undergoes a complete about-face when confronting those who have committed sins that cause it to be unable to restrain its anger. It summons its great divine sword "Keraunós" with an angry roar, and its body grows several tens of times larger, turning into a form clad in armor and lightning. The violent lightning surrounding it is the embodiment of its anger, and while it behaves calmly, each of its movements are brimming with awe, driving enemies into a corner from the pressure.

  • BFS:In this form, Jupitermon trades out his hammers for a sword that's taller than he is.
  • Elemental Shapeshifter: Wrath Mode turns his entire body into lightning, which is contained in a humanoid form by his armor.
  • Make My Monster Grow: This form is dozens of times larger than base-form Jupitermon.
  • One-Hit Kill: Its Wide Plasment disintegrates anything that touches the plasma the attack produces. Its Dios Thunder also obliterates any guilty Digimon before Jupitermon can formally pronounce judgment.
  • Tranquil Fury: This form is the result of Jupitermon's anger at the misdeeds of other Digimon. Though he still behaves calmly, he's far from the dispassionate judge he was in base form.

    Marsmon

Marsmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/marsmon.png
Attacks: Corona Sanctions, Mugen Hadounote , Shinkuu Hounote , Nozuigirinote , Misshuukikounote ; (Dub) Corona Sanctions, Mugenhadou, Vacuum Cannon, Brain Freeze, Close Formation Organization

A member of the enigmatic "Olympos XII", it is a Digimon god of war with the appearance of a panther-man. The Olympos XII lie in the shadows and possess ability rivaling that of the guardian deities of the Net, the "Royal Knights", and each protects its own domain while maintaining a position of neutrality regarding the incidents which arise in the Digital World. Marsmon is well-versed in all sorts of combat techniques known throughout the world, including underhanded techniques, and has absolute confidence in battles against others in the same weight class. While Marsmon typically uses wrestling techniques, it is so fixated on victory and glory that when push comes to shove, it will not hesitate to use concealed weapons such as its "Tria Knuckle" or "Metal Cothurnus". However, its true power is exhibited when it uses its bare hands and feet.

Marsmon is the natural final evolution of Bearmon, and the Digimon it can naturally evolve into in Digimon World 3.

  • Combat Pragmatist: He has no problem on using dirty tricks and hidden weapons to win in fist fights. His profile even states he knows all the possible dirty tricks to use in a fist fight...
  • I Am Not Left-Handed: Zig-zagged. Marsmon usually fights like a wrestler, but he is not above using concealed weapons in a fist fight if it's more convenient, but he is as it's strongest when fighting unarmed.
  • Panthera Awesome: It is a panther themed Digimon who is among the best brawler in the franchise.
  • War God: Much like his mythological inspiration, Marsmon is a deity of war and combat.
  • Wrestler in All of Us: Despite being the god of war, his preferred method of fighting is wrestling, only using weapons if he needs to.

    Merukimon

Merukimon (Mercurymon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mercurymon.png
Debuted in: Digimon Accel — Nature Genome
Attacks: (Original) Thousand Fist, Spiritual Enchant, Mirage Image, Kerykeion; (Dub) Thousand Fists, Super Charge, Mirage Image, Kerykeion

A member of the Olympos XII, it is a Digimon god of ingenuity who boasts of being the fastest in the Digital World. It moves with such exceptional speed that it cannot be seen with the naked eye, so it is said that all images of Merukimon in records and documents are but afterimages. It hates staying rooted to one place and is always wandering the Digital World, so encountering Merukimon can be rather difficult.

Merukimon has a major role in Digimon Data Squad, serving as an Anti-Villain and the adoptive guardian of Ikuto Noguchi (Keenan Crier).

  • Dub Name Change: Notable in that it's the only member of the Olympos XII to undergo this.
  • Inconsistent Dub: Other names it has been dubbed as include "Mercurimon" and "Mercuremon" (ironically enough).
  • Lightning Bruiser: Considering he's based on the Roman messenger of the gods, himself known for his immense speed, it's only natural that Merukimon would be fast as well. He's also rather muscular to boot.
  • Magic Staff: His Kerykeion attack which allows him to absorb the energy of his enemies with the mystical Kerykeion staff, another name for the Caduceus.
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted. The Japanese name "Mercurymon" takes from the Roman god, while the Legendary Warrior of Steel Mercuremon takes from the French spelling for the metal. In the dub, the Hybrid is called Mercurymon instead, while his original dub name is taken from "Mercurius", another valid name for the god. The difference is made even more distinct with the second dub name, Merukimon, which is a severely corrupted version of the name.
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: His "Thousand Fist" attack which is a super-barrage of punches using it incredible speed.
  • Sadly Mythcharacterized: Zigzagged. While the original Hermes' connections to esoteric traditions and potentially to shamanism are not widely known in pop culture, they do exist. This version also appears to have be a Shout-Out to the paganism practiced by the Aztecs.
  • Summon Magic: "Spiritual Enchant," which he uses his knife to slice through space and summons apparitions from a another world.
  • Super-Speed: Said to have a speed bordering on teleportation.
  • Walking the Earth: Said to never stay in one place.

    Minervamon

Minervamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/minervamon_2.png
Attacks: Strike Roll, Madness Merry-go-round, Dominion Blade, Olympia Slash

A God Man Digimon which belongs to the Olympos XII and has the appearance of a maiden. Though it has an extremely short physique, it possesses superhuman strength it uses to freely wield a greatsword as large as its own body. It possesses a cheerful personality due to its childlike innocence, but when its emotions become violently unstable, it gets into a bad mood which causes selfish and willful (problematic) behavior that no one can help it cope with.

  • Bare Midriffs Are Feminine: Her outfit shows off her tiny waist.
  • BFS: Her gigantic sword, which is where her reputation of superhuman strength is founded.
  • Cute Bruiser: Without her outfit, she looks pretty much like a little girl that can lift a two-handed sword in one hand along with a shield in the other at the same time, move like it was nothing and spin so fast that she creates a tornado.
  • Genki Girl: She's probably the most kid-like of the Olympos XII.
  • Muscles Are Meaningless: Definitely the most petite of the Olympos XII, but is capable of wielding a sword that is bigger and heavier than her own body.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Despite her petite appearance, she is quite a fierce warrior.
  • Sadly Mythcharacterized: Played for Laughs. In a blatant riff on the original Minerva, the goddess of wisdom and strategy, Minervamon is a Genki Girl prone to temper tantrums and whose fighting style relies on hitting hard and quick with a giant sword.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The snake motif in her design is a big nod to Medusa, whom Athena (Minerva) cursed to take the form of a hideous monster for desecrating Athena's temple. The comparison is more overt as Minervamon X, when her braids come alive to become literal snakes in her hair.
    • The entwined snakes on her sword are very reminiscent of Mercury's Iconic Item, the caduceus.
  • Stronger Than They Look: Despite looking and acting like a child, Minervamon is one of the strongest member of the group in terms of physical strength.
  • Tantrum Throwing: She is prone to these.
  • Tornado Move: Her signature attack.

Minervamon X (Minervamon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/minervamonx.png

Minervamon has a form affected by the X-Antibody. The X-Antibody has caused a portion of its hair to not only become enlarged, but also gain their own sentience. Its hairs refer to themselves as a "sage", and utilize their vast knowledge to support Minervamon in battle. Possibly due to its hair also requiring nourishment, Minervamon, who was already small in size, has now turned smaller than even its cherished sword, Olympia. However, Minervamon does not seem to mind at all; in fact, it seems to rejoice innocently at gaining new playmates, and has named its bundles of hair "Ulula" and "Serpens", respectively. Even though it has shrunk in size, its monstrous strength has not weakened at all; it has instead grown able to run about nimbly while wielding its Olympia, despite Olympia being larger than it in size, and thus is even more of a headache to keep in check.

  • Prehensile Hair: Its braids are now alive, and can even be used as one of Minervamon's attacks.
  • Shout-Out: While the snakes in her hair are a big nod to Medusa, they also happen to distinctly resemble Chain-Chomps.

    Neptunemon

Neptunemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/neptunemon.png
Debut: Digimon Accel — Nature Genome
Attacks: Vortex Penetrate, Wave of Depths, Gate of Atlantis, Terrible Bite; (Dub) Vortex Infiltrate/Vortex P/Vortex Penetration, Waves of Depths/Wave of Depth, Gate of Atlantis, Terrible Bite

One of the Olympos XII, Neptunmon is a Digimon god of the sea and governs all Aquatic Digimon. The scale mail that covers his body is made of "Chrome Digizoid" converted into the "Blue Digizoid" which excels in agility, so he is capable of moving at terrifying speeds in the sea. He constructed a castle to reside within, the "Abyss Sanctuary", at the far depths of the sea, so that only those who can withstand the water pressure of the extreme depths can intrude upon it.

  • Bowdlerize: His Digimon Reference Book profile was edited to remove the mention of his attacks causing earthquakes.
  • Depending on the Writer: Its official artwork depicts him with a human face, while recent depictions give him teeth remniscient of a shark.
  • Father Neptune: He is modeled after the Roman God Neptune.
  • Kill It with Water: All of his attacks consist of water based moves
  • Little Bit Beastly: When portrayed with shark teeth, such as in Digimon Fusion.
  • Lord of the Ocean: As his namesake, he is a God Man Digimon over the ocean, where it governs the aquatic Digimon.
  • Making a Splash: The water specialist of the Olympos XII.
  • Our Mermaids Are Different: A sea god with a human upper body and a giant fish's lower body; fittingly, Mermaimon is one of his potential preevolutions.
  • Prongs of Poseidon: His spear is supposed to invoke the image of his namesake, having three points shaped like shark heads.
  • Water Is Blue: As a Water specialist, Neptunemon is appropriately depicted with blue aesthetic.

    Venusmon

Venusmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/venusmon.png
Debuted in: Digimon Jintrix
Attacks: Healing Therapy, LOVE YOU, Peace Fantasia

One of the Olympos XII, Venusmon is a Digimon that is filled with compassion and rules over love. Wherever Venusmon is, beautiful flowers bloom profusely no matter how ruined the soil is, and the land's youthful vigor is revived. It is said that there are many Digimon who serve the pure and beautiful Venusmon. Venusmon can correctly perceive the world with its mind's eye by blindfolding itself, and it isn't taken in by any lie or deception. Furthermore, it restrains its overflowing glamour by concealing its pupils, so it's also a consideration to keep from adding more swooning Digimon. Venusmon is always accompanied by its bird "Olive" and its scallop "Hotan", small friends who can speak animatedly and unreservedly with Venusmon. Because it is a Digimon that rules over love, it uses a fighting style that pacifies the opponent's heart with each gesture.

  • Actual Pacifist: None of her techniques cause harm in any way, producing odd effects like making the enemy lose its will to fight instead.
  • Animal Talk: She is able to communicate with Olive and Hotan.
  • Aura Vision: Can do this by blindfolding herself, she is so good at using it that she can't be lied to or deceived.
  • Blindfolded Vision: It willingly blindfolds itself so it can perceive the world with its mind's eye. This prevents it from being taken in by deception.
  • Buxom Beauty Standard: She is one of the bustiest Digimon.
  • Care-Bear Stare: Her "Healing Therapy" move makes the opponent's fighting spirit vanish by caressing their head.
  • Fertile Feet: It is said that beautiful flowers bloom wherever it goes, even when the soil is ruined.
  • Foil: Despite not being an angelic Digimon, she acts as a counterpart to Lilithmon: both are the Ms. Fanservice of their group, but their powers and styles are opposite: Venusmon dresses in white while Lilithmon dresses in black, Venusmon has long hair while Lilithmon's hair is shorter, Venusmon is quite scantily clad despite not being interested in using her charm while Lilithmon wears an opulent dress despite being a temptress, Venusmon's partners are her friends and sending them in battle is mostly to help calm an enemy while Lilithmon relies on unleashing some sort of Eldritch Abomination to use as an attack dog; Venusmon uses her hands to calm down attackers while Lilithmon uses her claws to infect Digimon with viruses, Venusmon's blowed kiss is meant to stop an enemy by charming it while Lilithmon's blowed kiss causes pain in the target and while Lilithmon is so far the only female looking Digimon to have her face completely uncovered, Venusmon is the only one confirmed so far to actively cover a part of her face.
  • Good Wears White: A Vaccine type that promotes love and purity, her entire attire consists of white clothing.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: She has long blonde hair and is one of the most benevolent Digimon.
  • Love Goddess: She is based of Venus/Aphrodite.
  • Loyal Animal Companion: She is accompanied by a bird named Olive and a scallop named Hotan. The two are able to communicate with Venusmon.
  • Most Common Superpower: In addition to its beautiful appearance, Venusmon is one of the most well-endowed Digimon.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Just like her Greco-Roman namesake.
  • Post-Kiss Catatonia: The effect of her "LOVE YOU" move makes her opponent fall over from the shock of her blown kiss.
  • Reluctant Fanservice Girl: Actually tries to keep others from being infatuated with her, as opposed to her namesake who would gladly sleep with whoever she wanted.
  • Sadly Mythtaken: In classic mythology, Aphrodite was known for sleeping around quite a lot and being extremely vengeful and quick to anger. Here? She is an envoy of Incorruptible Pure Pureness that actively tries to get others to stop being infatuated with her by lowering her own charm.
  • Sexy Backless Outfit: Her Stripperific dress leaves little to the imagination, especially on the back.
  • So Beautiful, It's a Curse: Way too many digimon fall almost instantly for her, so she blindfolds herself (though it also lets her use some sort of spiritual sight) as to be slightly less enticing; also, her only true friends seem to be a dove and a scallop.
  • Stripperific: Her outfit is quite revealing.

    Vulcanusmon

Vulcanusmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vulcanusmon.png
Debut: Digimon Jintrix
Attacks: Pinpoint Weapon Works, Bomber Art, Appropriate Works

One of the Olympos XII, it is a Digimon god of smithery. Most well-known weapons are the work of Vulcanusmon, and the famous "Berenjena" cherished by Beelzebumon is also an article of Vulcanusmon's. It has an artisan's pride and a stubborn personality. It sees through the competence of its clients, and when it feels that they can not master or will not treasure the weapon, it will deny the request. When building, it performs with a standard of work corresponding to the other party. As such, the "Berenjena" that it put all of its effort into after being charmed by Beelzebumon's power is considered to be an excellent article, even by Vulcanusmon. Although it's a Digimon that freely manipulates its eight arms and works in silence, it exhibits an artisan's style even in battle.

  • Funnel-Mouthed Cephalopod: His armor is meant to bring one of these to mind: the large glass dome over his head represents the octopus' body, the two metal studs represent the eyes, Vulcanusmon's eight armored arms stand in for the tentacles and a large, cylindrical air intake is the octopus' funnel mouth.
  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: He has a total of eight arms, which combined by his ability to freely craft weapons out of nowhere also leads to him being a Multi-Melee Master.
  • Mundane Utility: He prefers to use his power to freely generate fire to craft weapons than as an actual mean to harm opponents.
  • Non-Action Guy: Downplayed, he is able to fight, but prefers to work behind the scenes by crafting weapons than actually fighting. He can see through the skill of his clients and make the perfect weapons for them, but his own fighting ability is not that great.
  • Playing with Fire: His Bomber Art technique involves this, but not in the usual way. See Mudane Utility above.
  • Theme Naming: Any weapon he designs tends to be named after a vegetable
  • The Trope without a Title: Prior to his debut, Vulcanusmon was known only as the gunsmith who constructed Beelzebumon's favorite shotguns Berenjena, as stated in Astamon and Sparrowmon's profiles.
  • Ultimate Blacksmith: He has crafted several weapons wielded by other Digimon. Among his creations are Beelzebumon's favorite shotguns Berenjena, Astamon's prided machine gun Oro Salmón, and Sparrowmon's twin pistols Zanahoria. While not confirmed, it possibly built Belle Starrmon's shotguns, Rizoma de Loto, as the weapon is said to be like little sisters to Beelzebumon's Berejena. Based on their names, he might also had been created Boltboutamon's trademark sword Spiedini and the revolvers Ala Di Pollo. Basically, any Digimon can request a weapon from him as long as he deems the client skilled enough.

Debuted in: Digital Monster Ver.20th
Attacks: Eclipse Finger, Calydon Arcusnote

A mythical Galaxy Digimon, said to have once been born from the fusion of Apollomon and Dianamon of the Olympos XII, when the Digital World: Iliad was visited by an unprecedented crisis. By colliding the opposing energies of the sun and the moon together, it formed Big Bang-class energy within its body. Because of this, it has been predicted that GraceNovamon itself has become a standalone galaxy, and it is said that it is impossible to measure its total data size accurately.

  • Alternate Universe: It's from another Digital World called Digital World: Iliad, which has a different host computer and where the Olympos XII take the place of the Royal Knights as their world's greatest protectors.
  • Cosmic Entity: Said to be a galaxy in its own right and have Big Bang-class power.
  • Expy: As a Super Robot Genre Fusion Dance of two prominent megas, it's definitely of Omegamon's type. The explicit sun and moon theme of its components reflects some of the design tropes of WarGreymon's and MetalGarurumon's lines as well.
  • Fusion Dance: It's a jogress evolution of Apollomon and Dianamon.
  • Our Giants Are Bigger: It was shown a size comparison in a reference book, and Examon, the giant Kaiju of the Royal Knights comes up to GraceNovamon's knees.
  • Power Palms: Despite the name, Eclipse Finger works this way. The attack channel's power into GraceNovamon's palm, which then melts enemies with a touch.
  • Star-Spangled Spandex: Its cape is full of stars.
  • Yin-Yang Bomb: Its power comes from a fusion of Apollomon's Power of the Sun and Dianamon's Lunacy.

    Mervamon

Debuted in: Digimon Fusion
Attacks: Final Strike Roll, Night Stalker, Love Poison, Madness Merry-Go-Round DX

A God Man Digimon which belongs to the Olympos XII and has the appearance of a woman. It is a figure that matured and amassed experience and achievements while it passed time as Minervamon, and its personality has become very calmed down and adult compared to its time as Minervamon. It became Mervamon to pursue elegance and sensuality, and as its behavior, speech and conduct are wholly overflowing with elegance, it brings about the sensuality in its surrounding. It seeks sensuality in battle, and displays its refined, elegant dance to mesmerize observers. As such there appear to be a great number of Digimon that became fans of Mervamon from being a witness.

Mervamon is partnered to Nene Amano. Due to Nene having left her Twilight (Midnight) army at this point, she is instead affiliated with Xros Heart (Fusion Fighters). Mervamon also replaces Minervamon as a member of the Olympos XII in Digimon Crusader.

    Plutomon

Plutomon

Debut: Digimon Crusader
Attacks: Haggard Cluster, Chaos Rights

A God Man Digimon who presides over "the land of the dead", or the Dark Area, and attacks with terror and violence. Plutomon wanders the world, pursuing criminals or villains who deserve to fall into the "land of the dead". It is said that if it detects such prey, Plutomon will appear wrapped up in a deep darkness. Plutomon cares only for chewing upon the wicked, and has jaws full of sharp teeth all over its body that chatter whenever Plutomon pursues its prey. As such, even good Digimon fear Plutomon. It is similar to Jupitermon of the Olympus Twelve, as far as its role of punishing evil, but Jupitermon will not accept Plutomon due to its cruelty and there is a long-standing feud between the two.

It appears in Digimon Survive as a dark Biomerge between Aoi Shibuya and her Labramon, and is only available through the Wrathful Route. It is also the antagonist of Digimon Crusader.

  • Badass Cape: A red, tattered cape flowing behind him.
  • Casting a Shadow: Plutomon appears to its victims "wrapped in shadow", and the profile art depicts it summoning a large pair of demonic jaws made of dark energy.
  • Creepy Good: It has a terrifying appearance, what with the High Collar of Doom, tattered cape and rows of fangs everywhere, but it only annihilates those of a wicked nature.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: It is based on the Roman god of the Underworld, and is far from a villainous character.
  • Everybody Hates Hades: Played with. It is not evil, but not exactly well liked either, and more than a little morally ambiguous. He is not given an official spot in the Olympos XII as Jupitermon won't accept it due to its cruelty in pursuit of justice. In fairness, Hades/Pluto wasn't exactly well liked even in ancient Greece, even if he was a relatively nice guy compared to his fellow gods.
  • Failed a Spot Check: If it hunts villains and criminals and is supposed to rule the Dark Area, it sure seems to have missed all of the Demon Lords and Archdevils running around in its own backyard.
  • Hell Hound: Has this motif, and in Digimon Crusader, Plutomon evolves directly from Cerberumon Jinrou Mode.
  • Hero with Bad Publicity: Due to being so damn creepy.
  • High Collar of Doom: Has one in front of its cape.
  • Irony: Executing criminals sends them to Anubimon, who assigns them to the Dark Area, where they then add to all the problems there. It is a vicious cycle.
  • '90s Anti-Hero: It did not actually debut in the 1990's, but its attitude to fighting evil is not dissimilar from Ghost Rider or The Punisher.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: As far as the color scheme goes, though it's not exactly evil.
  • The Rival: To Jupitermon. See Shadow Archetype below.
  • Shadow Archetype: Is this to Jupitermon; they both punish evil, but Jupitermon believes Plutomon is too cruel.
  • Shoulders of Doom: Large, dog-like mouths lined with fans. Yep, they qualify.
  • This Was His True Form: In "Digimon Crusader", it first appears as the pre-evolved form, Cerberumon Jinrou Mode, before revealing itself as Plutomon.
  • Too Many Mouths: Covered in them. They're used to chew the wicked.
  • Unscrupulous Hero: Not evil, but cruel, violent, and very very scary.

    Titamon

Titamon

Attacks: (Original)Konpaku Shingekinote , Genjin Mukonnote , Koou Meigunnote ; (Dub) Soul Core Attack, Phantom Blade, Koou Meigun

The titan of revenge Titamon was born from the hatred of the Digimon defeated by the Olympos XII in battles over the sovereignty of the Digital World. It holds the alias of "One-Man Division" and is treated as if it was a legion despite being a single being because it is able to instantly summon a mighty host. Bearing the inexhaustible energy of its hatred within its gigantic body, it runs through the battlefield seeking the heads of the Olympos XII. Its large arms are covered in a multitude of skulls, and the skulls are all data of the power it has stolen from the enemies it has defeated so far. As its gigantic sword "Zanjintou" (斬神刀? lit. "Beheading God Sword") is a bone sword carved from SkullGreymon's bones, the hatred filling the sword makes a low growl.

Titamon is one of Shoma Tsuzuki's Three Gods of Ruin.

  • BFS: Titamon wields a gigantic sword made from a SkullGreymon's, ah, skull.
  • Green and Mean: Its body is a deep green, and it's literally made from hatred and a desire for revenge.
  • Mind Rape: Its Traceless Phantom Blade attack makes the target think it's being stabbed over and over again.
  • The Power of Hate: It draws on the hatred of Digimon defeated by the Olympos XII, which helped create it in the first place.
  • Red Baron: It's also known as the God Beheader.
  • Skeletons in the Coat Closet: It wears skulls all over as gauntlets, shoulder-pads and boots, made from Digimon it's already beaten.
  • Summon Magic: It has an ability called Dark God Pact which summons spectral warriors.
  • Your Size May Vary: It's supposedly gigantic, but in its appearance in Digimon World: Next Order it's no larger than most other Digimon.

Alternative Title(s): Digimon Olympus Twelve
