Primal Kyogre, Mega Rayquaza, and Primal Groudon
  • Greater Gods (Overdeities in Primal Forms for Groudon and Kyogre, and Mega Rayquaza)
  • Symbol: Three assortments of lines in red (Kyogre), blue (Groudon) and yellow (Rayquaza); When transformed, a lowercase Alpha, a capital Omega, and a Delta respectively.
  • Theme Music: Battle! Super-Ancient Pokémon (for all three of them), Battle! (Primal Reversion), Heavy Rainfall for Kyogre itself, Drought for Groudon itself. Rayquaza's Descent for Rayquaza itself.
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral (Kyogre, Groudon), Chaotic Good (Rayquaza)
  • Gender: Genderless
  • Ability:
    • Kyogre: Drizzle, Primordial Sea (Primal Kyogre)
    • Groudon: Drought, Desolate Land (Primal Groudon)
    • Rayquza: Air Lock, Delta Stream (Mega Rayquaza)
  • Moves:
    • Kyogre: Origin Pulse, Ice Beam, Thunder, Aqua Ring
    • Groudon: Precipice Blades, Stone Edge, Fire Punch, Bulk Up
    • Rayquaza: Dragon Ascent, Dragon Dance, Outrage, ExtremeSpeed
  • Portfolio:
  • Domains: Landscape (All), Ground, Fire (Groudon), Water (Kyogre), Flying, Dragons (Rayquaza).
  • Allies:
  • Opposes: Deoxys and Arael (Rayquaza only)
  • Opposed by: Wally, Poseidon, (Groudon only)
  • Conflicting Opinions on: Hoopa (Kyogre and Groudon only)
  • These three beasts are the creators and the embodiment of Land, Sea, Sky; Kyogre represents Sea, Groudon represents Land and Rayquaza represents Sky.
  • Even though they share a temple, they don't usually live close by it. Kyogre swims in the vast sea, Groudon rests in the depths of the ground and Rayquaza flies in the ozone layer.
  • There is a debate of Kyogre would be in a higher position than Aquaman or Percy Jackson. One thing is clear that Kyogre is really powerful even amongst the ranks of other Olympus Mons (especially Arceus), and would probably use Sheer Cold on them if needed.
  • Not on great terms with Viridi, as Groudon's association with fire burns away her precious plants.
  • Rayquaza's ascension had made the ozone layer a dangerous place to travel. It takes anything that goes there as being a potential threat and will attack whoever it might be.
    • It also shares a move with Victini called V-Create that is capable of incinerating most mechas that dare try to battle. BEWARE.
  • It is said that if Kyogre and Groudon would to endlessly battle, the effects on the environment would reach apocalyptic levels, their opposing powers bringing drastic change on weather from heavy rainfall to burning sunlight, floods and earthquakes, leaving everything in ruin. And if many cried out for an end to the destruction, Rayquaza would respond, descending from the heavens and breaking the feud between the two of them.
  • There are very few gods that the trio fear of, but one of the gods that frighten them is the Gaming God, Chuggaaconroy, who actually captured all three gods in one of his Let's Play. Most notably, the whole Pantheon could hear this when he captured Groudon with a Nest Ball. The Gods in the House of Knowledge noted that the chances of that succeeding were around less than 1%. They were even more amazed to find Kyogre being captured with a Net Ball and Rayquaza by Chuggaa being Mexican.
    • Where not much fear, none of them are really pleased with RoahmMythril, who didn't even bother to capture them and defeated them with a team of non-evolved, first-stage Pokémon.
  • Rayquaza has two Berserk Buttons that must not be pressed: reminding him about how he was beaten up by Fox McCloud and Diddy Kong or the time when he fled the planet during the petrification epidemic. Next person who brings up either of those moments is getting a Hyper Beam to the face.
  • Recently, Groudon has lent his powers to a girl named "Aoooo" who was originally supposed to be given to deliver mail, saddled with the name "Kenya". The Trollkaiger laughed at the implications...and then freaked out when they learned that this particular Groudon has Water Absorb. Suddenly, things weren't funny.
    • However, he eventually got released due to an accident with the PC. No one has yet to ask what Groudon thinks of this turn of events.
      • Sometime later, Groudon was found by another girl named CLY, but this time didn't have Water Absorb. However, this trainer has decided to not use his power and is more content with her team.
      • Once again, another trainer, this time named Arty, captured Groudon while having access to Primal Reversion. This making the sixth Groudon they have come across (let that sink in).
  • If their strength wasn't great enough, people have discovered that all three of them can harness even greater power, allowing the first two to over go something called "Primal Reversion" and Rayquaza being able to Mega Evolve on its own.
    • Primal Kyogre can whip up immense rain what douses out any fire around and can fire multiple streams of pressurized water straight at foes.
    • Primal Groudon, not only gaining Fire-typing, can summon relentless sunlight so intense, it dries out all water around itself, including when it's underwater. It can also summon multiple blades made out of stone.
    • Mega Rayquaza, however, triumphs over all of them, by being now able to summon a wind what clears out all the other weather, takes out any Flying-type weaknesses, and all by having a move which has it charging at its foes full speed straight from space. Oh yeah, did we mention that statistically, it is stronger than ARCEUS!?
      • Smogon can attest to that. Mega Rayquaza had gotten so powerful, it was banned from Ubers. That's how powerful it is.
  • Along with Xerneas and Yveltal, the trio have granted Yuna with the ability to summon them whenever she needs to.
  • While Groudon and Kyogre's clashes are devastating, one can find it to be pretty funny. Yes, even in their Primal forms.
  • Kyogre and Groudon are highly suspicious of Hoopa, after Shadow Hoopa took control of them, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and Kyurem to destroy a city. Rayquaza doesn't know what to think, even after learning that a Shiny Rayquaza had teamed up with Hoopa Confined to fight Shadow Hoopa.

    Ariel
Ariel, Goddess of Spectacular Emergence
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/PrincessAriel_8422.jpg
  • Theme Song: Part of Your World
  • Lesser Goddess
  • Symbol: A Purple Seashell Bra
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: Mermaids, Princesses, Devil Deals, Those Who Wanted To Become Human, Those with Dads Who Mean Well, Sporting Perky Bivalves, Singing.
  • Domains: Water, Seafolk, Ocean.
  • Followers: Madison, San Seto, Nami the Tidecaller, Splash Woman, Wakasagihime.
  • Herald: Prince Eric (her husband)
  • Allies: Melody (her daughter), King Triton (her father), Aquaman, Rikuo, Percy Jackson, Sora, Donald Duck, Goofy, Lucia Nanami, Sly Cooper, Shantae, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, The Good Gods of the House of Royalty (including many of her fellow Disney Princesses), Jinbei
  • Enemies: Ursula (aunt), Morgana, Marina, Meroune Lorelei (though, it is one-sided to Mero).
  • Lucia Nanami started out as a follower of Ariel before ascending to the Pantheon herself int the House of Music before later transferring over to Personal Appearance with the rest of her fellow Mermaid Princesses. The two still get together on occasion and gossip about their respective countries and princes.
  • Ariel is a distinguished member of the Disney Princesses.
  • Meroune Lorelei reserves a hatred of Ariel intense enough to boil water. Ariel doesn't really reciprocate: she's more confused as to why Meroune feels such ire toward her.
  • Ariel shares a strong friendship with Sora, due to their common interests, including their desires to explore other worlds. They've also helped each other out often, mainly in combat or getting loot. Also, Sora once saved Ariel from drowning, after she was turned into a human by Ursula.
  • Sly Cooper also seems to get along with Ariel. Often, whenever he finds invaluable items within a criminal's stash, Sly would just give it to Ariel via Scuttle, knowing that she would take great interest. Even if Sly could turn himself into an aquatic creature to visit Atlantica, he'd still be unable to swim.
  • To the surprise of many deities, Ariel's teenage daughter Melody ascended into the pantheon as a goddess, despite her only appearance being rejected by many. However, Melody herself provided to be a fan favorite thanks to her voice.
    • Even before she ascended in, Melody became a professional Blitzball player for Atlantica, and is even the team captain! Ariel is very proud of her daughter for this achievement.
  • One person noted that technically speaking, she and Hercules (at least the Disney incarnation) are cousins once removed, given that her father King Triton is son of Poseidon, who is brother to Zeus, who is father to Hercules. Of course, this doesn't matter much.
  • Ariel never thought she would befriend a pirate, yet she did so through the Fishman pirate and Straw Hat member, Jinbei. What helped was her admiration for his noble personality, his actions in protecting merfolk along with how he tried to right wrongs. She did try to use her status as princess to pardon his crimes, but Jinbei turned it down, noting he was ultimately a pirate. He does admire how far she went for her love and he considered her to be a good role model for Princess Shirahoshi should she ascend to the Pantheon.

  • Overdeity
  • Symbol: A demonic magatama
  • Theme Song(s): The many variations of the Nocturne Random Battle Theme
  • Alignment: Inherently Chaotic Neutral, even as a human
  • Portfolio: Walking the Fine Line, Existing Between Two Identities, Silent Heroes, Destroying the Indestructible, Turning Enemies into Allies, Real Life Mythology, Power Tattoo, Snapped Controllers, Being Made in the Morningstar's Own Image, Defeating the Aspects of Death to Become Stronger, and Prove His Power as the Hope of the Forces of Chaos, Hybrid Power, From Nobody to Nightmare, A Messiah of The Axiom
  • Domains: Philosophy, Balance, Chaos, Strength, Dominance, Freedom, Diplomacy
  • High Priest: Jo Amon (who earned this spot not through power, but through appearing as a boss in over 7 games)
  • Followers: Tico, Solid Arm, G-CLONE, Yukabacera, NANCY-MI847J
  • Allies: Dante Sparda, Caerula Sanguis, Lain Iwakura, Lelouch vi Britannia, Cu Chulainn, Medusa, Raidou Kuzunoha XIV, Yu Narukami, Makoto Yuki, Aleph, Issei Hyodo, Luka, Beelzebub
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: Guts, Flynn (if the Yamato Reactor is in danger)
  • Rivals: Flynn, Absolute Virtue, The Fiends (especially Matador), The Embryon Tribe
  • Opposed by: Light Yagami, The Joker, Black Mage
  • Is...really tough to beat in a fight. Because of this and their respective reputations, he has something of a Friendly Rivalry with Absolute Virtue.
  • Is ambivalent about Lucifer. Says something about Lucifer as well since he inherited Lucifer's will.
    • Does look at Luka with interest, though, due to being Lucifer's (well, one version of him) son, his Angel powers, and having also killed a God. However, fights to see his skill have had to be toned down, as one match ended with him using Freikugel and Luka using Daystar, which ended up blowing up the entire wing of the House of Combat they were fighting in.
  • Is unassuming and speaks little to casual acquaintances, but has made some friends among the gods, mostly like-minded fans of puzzle games. One notable exception is Dante, after giving said demon slayer one hell of a fight.
  • Lelouch has managed to rope him into a game of chess. He didn't do too badly, actually.
  • Finds Lain Iwakura's search for knowledge and understanding poignantly close to his heart, and speaks with her more often than with others.
  • Has worked with Cu Chulainn before, and became fast friends with Medusa. Since both of them were originally from Real Life pantheons and Medusa's a likewise contemplative sort, this is not all that surprising.
  • His initial meeting with Serph and the Embryon Tribe was... strained.
  • Near the end of his original journey, he met with Akemi Nakajima as Izanagi and Izanami, who gave him a fragment of their power. While this was rather unneeded, Izanagi insisted Naoki deserved it after witnessing him finish the gruelling Amala Grave Run.
  • He has been developing a rivalry with Flynn. It doesn't help they are both of similar power ranking and have been approached by both Lucifer and Masakado with important plans for the future. Both are wary of each other, though having tasted the hells of war and having similar alignments, neither is willing to throw the first punch, choosing to err on the side of caution rather than risk conflict over a petty argument on power levels.
    • Aided Flynn in defending the Yamato Perpetual Reactor from a siege by Magical Girls, who were in despair after "The Great Upheaval". It was, for lack of a better term, a massacre. The two have a grudging respect for each other after working together. This respect might have saved Flynn's life when he fell under the control of the Divine Powers and they were forced to fight.
  • He is one of several gods who could conceivably find a way to trigger the definite Z-Class Apocalypse How. Reluctantly, he's made a deal with Flynn to keep either from actually deciding doing so is in any way a good idea. Naoki grumbles about it but knows that between him and his followers, he has too much power to run unchecked. However, if he ultimately views the Great Will's control over the universe is far too great he will aid Lucifer and break the system. One world learned this the hard way.
  • Considering taking part in the Pantheonic Rebellion as an agent of balance. Holds no real opinion toward Madoka or her allies, but wants to make sure the Reactor isn't threatened again by her apostles if something happens to her. Pretty much his only goal is to ensure the Pantheon's balance between Law and Chaos, never allowing either side to fully dominate it, not even in the name of Good - he's too cynical to believe such petty thoughts will last, citing Homura's rebellion as validation for this.
  • Got a surprise visit from Issei Hyodo, who asked to train with him to help him fight against a being immune to his Boosted Gear, that is Vali's hated grandpa, Rizevim Livan Lucifer. Issei spent most of the training session flailing uselessly as the Demi-Fiend casually slapped him around, but ultimately it paid off: Issei learned Pierce, or Penetrate as he calls it. However, he was cautioned to be extremely careful with the ability: it is, after all, a product of Lucifer's power...
  • Keeps close contact with Aleph, due to the theory of Jyoji Hijiri, one of the Demi-Fiend's closest allies, being his reincarnation. Aleph hasn't expanded on that front, though given who he was meant to be a reincarnation of, he's a little weary of hanging around an Anti-Christ like figure. Though both will put a stop to YHVH when he acts out of line, Aleph has also made it clear he'll put a stop to an out of control Lucifer. It doesn't help that a version of Aleph that the Demi-Fiend encountered in the Diamond Realm was a Lawful Aleph who agreed with the ideology, though not so much its leaders. Regardless, the two fought side by side and formed a mutual respect.
  • One of the few gods to go toe-to-toe with Saitama and end with no winner. Though Naoki used Tetrakarn, Saitama pulled back a punch from his legendary fists, with the force of impact from the punch hitting the reflective shield and sending both flying, as well as flattening pretty much everything in a thirty-kilometer radius. Both were dazed but unhurt and decided to end things there and get something to eat after Saitama suggested it.
  • Ryouna attacked him once: at first he regarded the shinobi begging him to beat the living daylights out of her with disgust, concern, and a profound sense of confusion. Then she pulled her guns on him, at which point he kicked her ass so hard that she was knocked out for an entire month. It goes without saying he didn't even go all-out against her. If he did, Ryouna would likely have been reduced to thin pinkish paste.
  • Entered a lottery and won the second place prize: a fight against Barbatos Goetia. He is preparing himself for that fight at the moment by placing his items in storage.

    Nanako Dojima
Nanako Dojima, Goddess of Innocents Who Trigger Protective Instincts
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nanako_9.png
  • Quasideity
  • Symbol: The Justice Arcana
  • Theme Songs: Signs of Love, Heaven
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: Nice Girl, The Cutie, Cheerful Child, Girlish Pigtails, formerly Delicate and Sickly, Tagalong Kid, instant star dancer, makes terrible chocolate (though makes great "sunny side up" eggs), missing mother, Precocious Crush on her cousin, remembers nothing of her kidnapping or the TV World, takes up piano like her mother
  • Domains: Children, Cuteness, Morality Pet, Berserk Button (not herself, but for others)
  • Followers: Alvis, Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons, Henry Mills, Robin, SCP-085 (a.k.a. Cassie)
  • Allies:
  • The entire Investigation Team, especially Yu, worried when Nanako was selected to represent this position, rather than any of who ended up being her followers. They were told that to represent the Everyone's Baby Sister trope, one must be able to be one to a large number of the deities already present here, otherwise they wouldn't be a good candidate for it. And so Nanako was selected.
    • A word of caution to all: hurt Nanako, and the ENTIRE Investigation Team is coming for you! Flowey knows better than to try and manipulate her for this very reason. And Basco and the rest of the Trollkaiger learned their lesson after trying it once.
    • And to be on the safe side, Tohru Adachi has been warned to stay away from her, lest he suffer the consequences. But even he would probably also go after whoever hurts her.
  • Other than just how nice she is, Nanako has also made friends with Kallen, Rider, and Poison. Something about her seems to connect them.
    • She was quite confused as to Poison's title and innocently asked whether Poison was a girl or a boy. To everyone's surprise, Poison just pat her on the head and stated, "I'm just like you, kid." making Nanako much more relieved (although Poison threatened to give everyone a lashing with her whip if this was brought up again.]]
    • She was also able to bond with Asuna Kagurazaka for a similar reason.
    • And a new addition to this list is Chronormu, who tries to be like a Cool Big Sis to her, but Nanako can hardly take her seriously because they're both about the same size (without taking account Chromie's dragon form).
  • At present, she doesn't know what to think of Lelouch. While he may be a good guy deep down (since he overthrows evil empires and all), the ways he does it terrifies her, especially since he's in many other ways a lot like Yu. That said, even at his worst, the chances of Lelouch hurting her in his schemes are low, even disregarding the prospect of retaliation by her 'protectors'.
  • Gets along well with Usalia, who shares a similar role in her own party.
  • As they are big brother figures as well, Adell, Terra, and Killia manage to become friends with Nanako too.
  • Has become good friends with the Cutie Mark Crusaders to the point where the trio invited Nanako to visit their friends in the House of Ambiguity (much to the shock of the Investigation Team, considering the residents there) And just like the Cutie Mark Crusaders, the House of Ambiguity pretty much cooed over Nanako ranging from Wreck-it Ralph (who introduced Nanako to Vanellope), Gangrel and Luna Vachon (who have a soft spot for the Crusaders) and even those like Kaito Kumon and Takatora Kureshima couldn't help but meet her. The Investigation Team is still shocked to this day.
  • Ideally, the Investigation Team would want to keep Nanako in the dark regarding what they do. Unfortunately, given that the Pantheon is full of fantastic and terrifying things, that would be an impossible task. In order to slowly integrate her in all this, the Human Child volunteered to assist in this endeavor. Unfortunately, as of late, they have been busy helping Alma Wade, so that option was off the table.
    • Eventually, this secret could not be kept forever, due to how many more Persona-users were ascending. She found out about them when she and the Cutie Mark Crusaders had been cornered by Heartless and were rescued by Adachi as he summoned Magatsu-Izanagi, dredging up past memories regarding her kidnapping by Taro Namatame. Later over dinner, she confronted Yu with this issue, and he finally relented and made a Pinkie Promise that he would tell her everything tomorrow, because the entire Team deserved to tell her the story. After leaving, he told the rest of the Team that it was time.
    • Tomorrow, the entire Investigation Team (plus Marie) arrived, and as promised, they relayed to her the whole adventure in Inaba's TV World, starting with Yu's arrival, up to and including Adachi's actions and the reason behind his restraining order, Marie's true origins, and the fact that the gas station attendant who shook his hand was Izanami in disguise. They even commended her actions in the Kanamin Kitchen incidentnote . Thanks to fessing up, Nanako eventually understood their reasons for hiding it for so long, and forgave them.
  • She was very happy to see her daddy in the Pantheon (and he was let in on what the Investigation Team had been doing as well. Though he sometimes works overtime in the Pantheon, he still tries to keep his promise of being there for her.
  • Upon learning about Satsuki and Mei's ascension, the three have become good friends. However, she does feel a bit envious that they're absolute innocent of the chaos that goes on in the Pantheon (even though she's in the know of her Big Bro's work).
  • A little known fact about her is that she is very good with a gun. Her dad once took her to a shooting gallery in the House of Weapons and she was able to hit the targets with absolute ease all while being sweet and adorable. Yu is now concerned as to whether or not Nanako should be armed just in case he, or the rest of the Investigation Team, is unable to rescue her in time.

    Tohru Adachi
Tohru Adachi, God of Criminals Beneath Suspicion (Tamotsu Adachi, Goofydachi, Crazydachi, The Egocentric Police Dick)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/adachi_p4au.png
  • Intermediate God (posing as a Demigod)
  • Symbol: Either the Jester Tarot Card (when posing) or Hunger/Lust Tarot Card (his actual Arcana)
  • Theme Song: A New World Fool, Ying Yang, A Fool or Clown?
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil, may be True Neutral now
  • Portfolio: Hidden Cruelty, Small Town Boredom, Manchild, Dirty Cops, Slacking, Similarity to the Protagonist, Attempted Rape, Befriending the Protagonist, Breakout Characters, Spawning Multiple Memes, Big Bad Wannabees, Evil All Along, Never Admitting His Mistakes, Smugness, Trolls, Unwitting Pawns, Hidden Depths, Being Promoted to Playable in P4A: Ultimax, Atonement
  • Domain: Crime, Murders, Emptiness, Hatred, Facades, Hunger, Lust
  • High Priest: Professor Quirinus Quirrell
  • Allies:
  • Enemies: The rest of the Investigation Team, Marie, Uncle, Josuke Higashikata, the Psycho Rangers (particularly Psycho Red, for targeting Yu), Yoshikage Kira
  • Complicated Relationship with: Ryotaro Dojima, Goro Akechi
  • For nearly a year, a serial murder case in the rural Japanese town of Inaba had gone largely unsolved, until one day Yu Narukami and his friends eliminated all suspects but Tohru Adachi, who accidentally revealed himself under pressure. Despite shooting himself in the foot, the GUAE were impressed at how long he'd been able to hide in plain sight, and especially impressed when they heard how he'd managed to manipulate the murder case as it happened. This led to Adachi's ascension.
  • The Investigation Team (except maybe Yu) were not happy with Adachi's ascension, Yosuke least of all. But Adachi hasn't tried anything since ascending and just lounges around, claiming he'll play by the Pantheon's rules for now. Those in the House of Justice consider him a model criminal.
    • To show how much he wants to carry out this idea, he tried to stop the P-1 Grand Prix, and even ended up helping Yu defeat the thing behind the events in order to prevent any murders from happening, all because he knew that a single death would cause doubt that Adachi was the real killer, falsely exonerating him and breaking the rules of this world, as he puts it. While Adachi is still the scumbag he was, it is clear that he has grown up a bit.
  • Has something of a vitriolic friendship with Yu Narukami, thanks to their Social Link together. Adachi considers Narukami to be a stupid, pesky child, but fondly remembers the times they've spent together, and even gave him a clue to find the true mastermind behind their battle.
  • Gaston feels sympathy for Adachi, knowing what it's like to be abandoned by the woman he "deserved". As such, he frequently invites Adachi to drink with him. Adachi thinks Gaston is an idiot, but won't turn down a free drink.
  • Adachi occasionally interrupts conversations and changes the subject to murders.
    "Yaaay!"
    • And every time Adachi does so, a random member of the House of Justice would suddenly teleport in and smack him in the face before the conversation goes off the rails. The kicker will usually not be the same God twice in a row.
  • Despite being in the House of Crime, Adachi is normally found in the House of Food, finding supper for himself. While here, he's usually bothered by Uncle Chan yelling at him to go back and watch the shop, followed by a finger slap to the forehead. Adachi's tried telling Uncle that he must be thinking of a different Tohru, but it hasn't worked.
  • Has been permanently banned from the House of Love due to his notorious lust. Most goddesses in the Pantheon also tend to avoid him. He might have said that the House of Lust is full of, ahem, "bitches and whores" as well.
  • Contrary to popular belief, cabbages are not accepted tribute at his temple (only his former superior, Ryotaro Dojima, can get away with this). When someone tried suggesting that his title would be "The Egotistical Cabbage Detective", the person got curb-stomped. Repeatedly. By Magatsu-Izanagi's blade heels.
  • Don't mistake his complacency with weakness. Should he find himself in a fight, he can summon the Reaper and his own Persona, Magatsu-Izanagi to let loose.
  • After Izanami ascended, residual energy from within Adachi (granted by Izanami) reacted, and Ameno-Sagiri materialized once again (but without taking over Adachi this time). Ameno went to the House of Nature, though sometimes summons Adachi to act as a translator for him, as some people have trouble understanding his voice.
  • Attempted to hit on Elsa, due to what he perceived as similarities between them: it ended with her freezing his mouth shut, then the rest of him when he tried to summon Magatsu-Izanagi.
  • There has been some people who have compared him to Yuuki Terumi, was it due of how they dress or having bit of a overlapping personality. Adachi claims that Terumi will never be half the man he is, and Terumi claims in turn that Adachi will never be as godly as he is. Though Adachi has been spotted sporting a similar colouration to Terumi for undisclosed reasons. He even somehow got Magatsu-Izanagi to resemble Terumi's Dark Susanoo form.
  • For some reason, in spite of his 'detective' works...he can't stand dead bodies. This is why he avoids the House of Life And Death most of the time.
  • His former friendship with Yoshikage Kira is now one of mutual hatred as the two spent more time and learned more about one another. As he changed, Adachi separated himself from him and furthermore, the ideological differences between them have driven a massive wedge. Adachi sees Kira having no reason, not even one as supremely selfish and half-assed as his, for his murders as just utterly idiotic. Furthermore, the fact that he otherwise seems to be taking life easy utterly annoys him. As Adachi sees it, Kira has a very good life and just wastes it by killing people without reason.
    • While initially many were surprised by Adachi's rage at this, things would shortly clear up once Adachi's past dug up. He devoted his childhood to studying at the behest of his parents and at the cost of a social life in the hopes of a prosperous adulthood, a promise that did not come to pass. While more than a few people found Adachi ungrateful on how he ended up, even they admitted that he was correct at how often hard work does not lead to success as many adults have convinced children.
    • As such, when Adachi investigated Yoshikage Kira's past and discovered that he just strove for mediocrity or being "just good enough", it infuriated him since in his eyes, Kira got the reward he desired for doing little more than the bare minimum while Adachi's own past of furious investments for a promising future was never fulfilled.
    • Beyond this massive clash of philosophies, he finds Kira's... thing with removing the women's hands and calling them to be his girlfriends to be very very creepy. With their brief friendship having disintegrated into mutual detestment for each other's existence, Kira has avoided Inaba. Despite it being a tranquil quiet place to live his life as he so desired, Adachi made it abundantly clear that he would not hesitate to risk his life to beat him (especially if he targeted the Dojimas). He is even willing to go to the Investigation Team for help if he was not strong enough (especially upon seeing what Kira's new "Bite the Dust" can do).
  • With the rise of these new Persona users known as the Phantom Thieves of Heart, Adachi stood out of their way, not wanting to mess with them. Adachi himself reflected how the Thieves defied the complacency that he spoke about. Yet fate would have him run into one particularly member... Goro Akechi. Both of them are utterly uncomfortable with one another due to their similarites. Both of them are murderous Persona users who life had dealt bad hands with and in retaliation, lashed out with their new powers and rejected the bonds they built with people in spite of it. Adachi sees Akechi as the same sort of crap punk he was during his murders at first. Investigating further, Adachi could not help but feel legitimately bad at what to Akechi given how society failed him harder than anyone else. He also noted in surprise the blood trail Akechi left in his wake as well as his own motivations on it (Masayoshi Shido makes even people like himself look normal). Also, he couldn't help but admire how he owned up to his crap and willing to face what happened. It's kind of a shame he might not have truly gotten a second chance like he somehow did.

  • Special Connection: Rei
  • One day during the civil war in the Pantheon, Labrys showed up and greeted the Investigation Team and S.E.E.S. Aigis was very happy that her prototype sister has ascended into the Pantheon. This causes Nyarlathotep a much bigger headache since he has to deal with not one, but two Anti-Shadow weapons.
    • Before that, she was one of the followers of Big Bull and still keeps in contact with him.
  • Some members of the Pantheon have wondered why Proto Man hasn't taken this title before Labrys. It's because while he is indeed a Flawed Prototype, he is something of an improper Super Prototype. For this reason, said members were very miffed that Mega Man missed the chance to reunite with his older brother again. Others think that this was for the better, because his time was coming very soon. Not to mention, while Dr. Light wasn't in the Pantheon as of yet, Proto Man didn't trust him, thus leaving the spot to Labrys and settling for being one of hers and Subject Delta's followers.
    • Lo and behold, both Proto Man and Dr. Light ended up ascending before very long. The two remained good friends, although she finds Proto Man's comparison of the pre-Mitsuru Kirijo Group to his fears of Dr. Light a bit misguided and doesn't see the appeal in Repliforce's pitch for a separate Robot Republic like he does. Labrys also ended up meeting Mega Man as well as the Maverick Hunters X, Zero, and Axl, being happy to see autonomous robots trained to protect humans.
  • Lambda-11, a fellow prototype who went through similar abuse, was also considered for being the Goddess of Flawed Prototypes, but for undisclosed reasons, Kokonoe pulled the petition away. When the two of them met in the Pantheon they teamed up together in short order, especially in opposition to the omnicidal android Nu-13. Labrys also had Lambda's color.
  • Bronx accent aside, whenever she spoke, she sounded a bit similar to Amy Rose and Makoto Nanaya, causing the three of them to become friends. This also gives Terumi yet another temper tantrum when he realized this.
  • Has become fast friends with Mami Tomoe over the fact that they were forced to fight their beloved companions and were treated as tools. Mami often invites her to her tea parties despite Labrys being a robot. Cammy White also sympathizes with her for the fact that she was once used as a pawn to fight the ones she endeared the most. This is also another commonality she shares with Zero due to the Maverick Virus threatening to awaken the destroyer side within him.
  • Stays far away from Relius Clover after realizing he was the one who created the Murakumo Units and turned his wife and Ada into puppets. Ditto for Dr. Gero for his creation of Cell and the Red Ribbon Androids, as well as turning two teenagers into killer cyborgs. Also, Dr. Weil for his bastardizations of X and Zero in his tyrannical regime over Neo Arcadia. Basically, if you're an evil mad roboticist, she wants nothing to do with you. She's become somewhat horrified at seeing Carl's metamorphosis, as he's now acting almost exactly like his father despite whatever protests he has to the contrary.
  • She's formed a friendship with Bladewolf somewhat over some similar experiences. Labrys noted she seemed to have a soft spot for dogs.
  • The fact that she can perform illusions has caught interest in many villains who specialize in such magic. The Investigation team and S.E.E.S. are doing their best to have her stay away from them, considering the last time someone exploited this.
  • Gods should be really wary of her if they plan on trying to control her or trying to hack inside her. She has Shadow Labrys inside one of her memory data banks and she will take over Labrys' body if given the chance, if simply to exterminate the person who tried to do that. Dimentio found out the hard way and made himself an enemy. As did Mysterio when he tried to confuse her with illusions to send her against Spider-Man.
    • Unfortunately, Lumine and Sigma are trying to figure out how they can exploit Shadow Labrys to turn her against her friends, as well as what villainous master of illusion they can use in said plan. However, they know that the plan must be foolproof or she'll end up being a major thorn in their side, so they have to tread carefully, and given that Yu and Mitsuru have become hyper aware of Sigma's ability to adapt the Sigma Virus…
  • Gets along very well with Dr. Gero's three rebel androids, being both a Ridiculously Human Robot made in representation of a human that died like 16 as well as the victim of horrible experimentation like 17 and 18.
  • Was happy to see fellow Shadow Operative Ken Amada join the party in the Pantheon. Witnessed Shinjiro and Ken's reunion in which Ken tried to apologize to Shinji for trying to kill him before and basically getting him killed, with Shinji brushing it off and telling him to just be a good teammate. She and Shinji have already gotten to know enough about each other in the Pantheon for the following exchange to take place:
Labrys: Says you when you still ain't ova' what happened to his mother? You gotta take your own advice there, Shinji.
Shinji: Says the weapon with a heart who still thinks she's some type of monster. Come on, Labrys. The real monsters were in the lab.
  • Through Aigis, Labrys and Lambda received an invitation to join what was initially a Reploid power research team but had soon rededicated itself into a freedom fighting force in order to stop the goals of a machine criminal alliance fronted by Ultron and Sigma. When she and Lambda turned to Aigis for guidance, the "big sister" of the trio suggested they both join to acquire safeguards against the Sigma Virus, though Aigis herself couldn't join along with them due to her Shadow Operative duties. Shortly after accepting the group's offer, Labrys found herself standing alongside the group as they revealed themselves in public at the House of Justice under the name of Liberion Arcadia.
    • Some time after 2B's ascension, Labrys and several other good female androids had met up with her and befriended her after marveling over her adorable black "visor". She was pleasantly surprised to see when 2B came to an LA meeting offering her services to the team, and quickly joined Harpuia's chorus of approval along with the others to bring her on.
    • Took a shine to the cyborg ICEY, to the extent of introducing her to the team. They welcomed her with open arms, with Harpuia and Ciel knowing enough about her to see similarities to X. 2B and ICEY both received the same Sigma Virus safeguards as she and Lambda had earlier; Quote and his herald Curly Brace followed suit not too long after, as they aligned on friendly terms with the group following an invite from Epsilon.
  • Later on, 2B's YoRHa partner 9S had his memory data restored within the Pantheon, with Labrys being among the allies guarding him. After his awakening and reunion with 2B, he finally joined Liberion Arcadia, becoming a vital hand in fighting off threats such Sombra's hacking, the Corpus, Desperado, and the Technocyte Infestation, as well as a major obstacle to the Sigma Virus. Unfortunately, Phantom noticed that his performance had started to lag when he became distracted in his performance due to unresolved emotional issues. To help set him straight, Labrys had an idea: she would take him to the TV World so he can face his suppressed self. 2B was skeptical of this idea, to which Labrys recounted her time in that place and the events of the P-1 Grand Prix; if she can have a Shadow in there despite being a machine, then so can 9S.
    • Eventually, a trip was arranged, with Labrys in the lead, and accompanying her were her sister Aigis, Fuuka (for Mission Control; Rise was holding a concert, and Futaba still hasn't forgiven 9S for hacking her Persona at one point), and the rest of S.E.E.S. (being organics, they won't be susceptible to 9S's hacking if his Shadow has the same abilities). 2B also insisted in coming along despite the chances of her Shadow showing up, given her own set of issues like living with having to kill 9S several times before.
    • However, upon reaching the final room, they encountered not only Shadow 9S, but Shadow 2B as well. Of course, with everything they've yet to confess to one another, the Shadows spilled every bean there was left to spill, causing a lot of emotional trauma from the YoRHa androids, and the standard phase of denial. Junpei voiced the group's collective dread on in the face of two berserk Shadows, especially those of powerful androids such as 2B and 9S (though some hid it a lot better than most).
    • The battle was a grueling one, thankfully mitigated by Pods 042 and 153 electing to assist thanks to their Programs. Somewhere along the way, though, Shadow 9S hacked Labrys, which only made Shadow Labrys come to the fore to beat the shit out of him. Thankfully, she just ignored the rest of S.E.E.S. as she did so. Despite that, the battle was still very tough. Eventually, the group prevailed and took down the YoRHa androids' Shadows, Shadow Labrys shortly returning control to her other self.
    • Now that every important secret of theirs has been brought to light, with encouragement from Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapons, 9S and 2B were able to come to terms with their own and each other's actions back in their world. And aside from the combat experience and the closure, their rewards for this were… a pair of glowing Persona cards and nothing more. Labrys was a little disappointed with that, as it meant that accepted Shadows were no longer guaranteed to become Personas like in the TV World 'back home', but 2B and 9S have expressed their gratitude for this trip.
  • When Fairy Leviathan was finally ascended to round out the team, Labrys suddenly found herself being called "axe bot" a lot. In turn, she plays along with the "water freak" moniker Fefnir gave his sister.

    Vincent Brooks
Vincent Brooks, God of Climbing to Survive (Man Drinking Alone, The Man of Legends)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vincent_full_body.png
  • Quasideity (Demigod in his Nightmares, Greater God in the True Cheater Ending)
  • Symbol: Pillow and pink polka-dot boxer
  • Theme Song: Also Sprach Brooks (Smooth Jazz ver.)
  • Alignment: True Neutral (remains so or shifts to Neutral Good in the Neutral/Freedom/Rin's Ending, shifts to Lawful Good at the Commitment Ending, and shifts to Chaotic Neutral at the Cheater Ending)
  • Portfolio: The Everyman, Wears Underwear in His Nightmare, Jaw Drops Much of His Life, Determined to Survive in his Nightmare, Choice of Commitment or Freedom or Something Else, Terrible Liar, Nice Guy, Grew a Spine, Large Ham, Helping Others With The Same Struggle As He, Happily Married (potentially)
  • Domains: Climbing, Survival, Relationship
  • Heralds: Katherine McBride, Catherine, and Qatherine/"Rin"/Ydoblluf Enirehtaq (his Love Interest options)
  • Allies: Homer Simpson, Moe, Harth Stonebrew, Ysera, NiGHTS, Thomas Mutton (kinda)
  • Enemies: Bane, Junko Enoshima, The High Sparrow
  • Cautious Around: All succubi in general, Darkrai, Lucifer
  • Opposed by: Poland
  • Vincent Brooks is a thirty-two year old in a relationship with his girlfriend, Katherine McBride, but was too indecisive in regards to marriage. When the enigmatic beauty named Catherine appeared in his life, everything is dragged into a nightmare. Literally, he is trapped in a nightmare where he must climb to the top in order to survive or else he will die in the real world.
  • Due to the nature of Multiple Endings, this Vincent is one of nine potential versions of his future, selected by an unidentified deity. In four of them, he doesn't get either the succubus Catherine or his old girlfriend Katherine McBride, two where it's by his own choice, two in where the girl he chose turns him down but at least he is now free to get his life back on track. In two, he lives in the Netherworld with Catherine, and in one of those, he took it over from her bumbling father. In two others, he makes it up to Katherine, and in one of them they shortly marry. The Vincent that came is the one where he doesn't pick either girl and pursues his dreams of space tourism, after which he was invited to the Pantheon.
    • However, things became murkier with the reveal of the Full Body story, which showed a new Love Interest (Qathe)Rin(e), and more endings, like one where he goes back in time with Catherine and they start over from there until they eventually marry (with Catherine living the human life), one where Katherine breaks up with him but is able to get a better life (as a model) and convinces Vincent to do the same, and two where he goes for the new love interest Rin instead and either he leaves to find himself and help others with his powers before he and Vincent eventually come back together or they swiftly marry in a few months and hold a space tour (with Vincent becoming a producer and Rin soaring in his pianist career).
    • This question was sort-of answered when his heralds arrived, and it proved to be a brief nightmare; the three (K/C/Q)atherines he had to choose between were all picked, resulting in a brief Cat Fight started by the succubus on the crossdressing angel/alien that Brooks and McBride had to break up. As it turns out, each of the girls came from the extra Full Body endings, which is why Katherine didn't partake in the Cat Fight; she has since moved on from Vincent in her ending. As a result of the Cat Fight however, it is now known that Rin is a boy as well as an extraterrestrial and that Catherine was the one tempting Vincent when he thought he was cheating. A representative from the Court of the Gods eventually stepped in and made arrangements.
  • After clearing things up and seeing what can be done to avoid another fight, he was approached by Issei Hyodo, who has experience with handling a harem, and he and his companions helped with finding a good compromise that even Catherine can agree to.
  • He recognized Makoto Yuki as that kid he met in Club Escapade at Paulownia Mall. When they first met, he had told him that his story will probably have nothing to do with Makoto's problems. And then he heard of the Dark Hour S.E.E.S. operated in.
  • Even though she sees potential in him, Kyu decided to respectfully back off from taking him in as a client. With what he's been through, he's probably not ready. It doesn't help that in some of his endings, he's already happily married, and it's in her rules not to go after such people, no matter the gender of the couple.
  • Due to his experience with Catherine, who is revealed to be a succubus, he doesn't like to be near others like Morrigan and Lilith Aensland. Catherine is enough, thank you very much.
  • Hideri Kanzaki, Bridget, and Astolfo do remind him of Rin's situation, all being cute crossdressing boys.
  • Princess Cadance pities him for the hell he had to endure, and plans to tear Thomas Mutton a new one for putting him and many others through such a trying ordeal, even if it's to continue population growth by weeding out adulterers.
  • Because he endured in The Great Trials in his Nightmares for a week, he doesn't like those who bring nightmares which could force him back in if they had the power. He seeks the help of some dream deities that could help him sleep well just in case these Nightmares could be recreated in the Pantheon.
    • He doesn't enjoy being in Darkrai's company, since he can cause bad dreams. This guy needs a supply of Lunar Wings. Though, Bane enjoyed making an illusion of his Nightmares when he is put to sleep by him.
    • Though Luna would help with his dreams, if she sees that he is going to start another relationship problem, especially with Rin and Catherine, she might restore the Nightmare again just to teach him a lesson.
  • He is usually seen drinking at the House of Food. He befriended Homer as his drinking buddy, and thinks Moe is alright considering how his old bartender, The Boss, essentially started his Nightmares and was his final obstacle.
  • He once played an arcade game based on Rapunzel in which is similar to his Nightmares. He told both Rapunzel and Flynn Rider that he hoped that their marriage lasts forever.
  • He meets with those experienced with tarot cards who tells him about how his trials were similar to the story of the Lovers Arcana. He was put on a crossroad where he choose either a young romantic woman who represents Catherine or an older wise woman who represents Katherine. Of course, he could take another path if he wanted to and he took it.
  • He doesn't usually speak to high school students, but he feels very uncomfortable when speaking with the Yukari Takeba and Rise Kujikawa since the two sound too much like K/Catherine, it's both confusing and disturbing. Ironically, both of these girls represent the Lovers Arcana.
    • Another he avoids is Ann Takamaki, mainly since she's reminiscent of Catherine appearance-wise (and has even dressed as her on occasion). Incidentally, just like the above two, she's also of the Lovers Arcana.
  • Despite K/Catherine being a common name, whenever ladies with that name ascend he's never sure if it's either McBride or the succubus. With the women named Catherine Kyoubashi and Katherine Anne Pryde, he realized that he was gladly mistaken.
  • Despite his complicated situation, he openly respects those that got married since they made a choice on commitment. Though he is in no position to oppose cheating, since he either was trapped in it or embraced it, he hoped that they don't suffer through the Nightmare he faced, depending on how bad they are.
    • He doesn't appreciate Makoto Itou for actively cheating on people. In fact, he was very nervous and even frightened of the love triangle the kid got himself into. Though he isn't old enough, he hoped that he doesn't have to suffer through the same thing he faced in his nightmares.
    • He doesn't know how he feels about the love goddess Aphrodite, who is known to have multiple lovers.
    • Ironically, he doesn't know how he feels about harems since it's not technically cheating when there are multiple partners holding interest in one person. Though Issei Hyodo is shown to have the most stable harem as in the future, all the girls have a child with him and are in a happy family.
      • It is worth noting that Lucifer "respects" him for that one timeline where he became the new Lord of the Underworld and got himself a harem of demonesses, spending million of maccas (currency) for his honeymoon with said demon harem to compensate for what his friend Ishtar (or rather her human guise Trisha) put him through. Vincent isn't sure what to say about this.
    • He pitied both Korra and Asami when they dated Mako as he cheated on both with each other, although he's surprised that they became a couple with each other instead.
  • Whether or not he's actually chose Rin, the fact that he's not a strict homosexual has earned him the enmity of heterosexists such as Junko Enoshima, The High Sparrow, and Poland.

    Naoya
Naoya, God of Biblical Villains (Naoya Minegishi, Cain)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/naoya_render.png
  • Intermediate God
  • Symbol: His long robe with its Matrix Raining Code design.
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  • Portfolio: Aloof Big Brother, reincarnation of Cain to Kazuya's Abel, The Chessmaster, Crazy-Prepared, Deadpan Snarker, unnerving smile, Expy of Akemi Nakajima, Hidden Agenda Maybe-Villain, Jerk with a Heart of Gold to his cousin, Stealth Mentor, Nay-Theist, Rage Against the Heavens, suffered The Punishment and exploited it for his own end, Fate Worse than Death, "Get Back Here!" Boss
  • Domains: Coding, Demons, Sin, Chaos, Gambits
  • High Priest: Judas Iscariot
  • Followers: The Phantom Stranger, Grendel, the Knights of the Blackened Denarius, Lucyfar, Nimrod, Haman
  • Allies: Kazuya Minegishi (his cousin), Mido
  • Rivals: Alcor, Yamato Hotsuin
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: Cosmos (only on his end), Isabeau (only on her end)
  • Enemies: YHVH and all of His Angels, especially Metatron, The Administrators, the Divine Powers, Chakravartin, Yaldabaoth, anyone who would harm Kazuya
  • Wary of: Stephen
  • Respects: Aleph, Naoki Kashima/the Demi-Fiend, Flynn, Asura, Xena, Tatsuya Suou, Maya Amano, Eikichi Mishina, the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, Terra Branford, Team Dai-Gurren
  • His ascension was preceded by a massive influx of demons coming in from COMPs that came out of nowhere. While the nearby folks either fled or fought the demons, as soon as he heard of it, Kazuya was quick to arrive and quell the issue, then convince the Court of the Gods (which Naoya didn't really like) to give him a spot in the Pantheon. After looking into his history, they decided to ascent him to represent Biblical Bad Guy, given that he's the reincarnation of said first example; Cain.
  • Has a tenuous stance towards his cousin, given that he either fled the lockdown only to return to make up for that mistake (succeed or fail), surrendered the world to either demons (with his cousin Naoya, and rally against YHVH either for himself or for humanity) or angels (with Amane, and set Naoya on the path to redemption), returned the world back to normal with Gin, or gave the demon summoning power to humanity with Atsuro. Of the timelines he doesn't approve of, there's only the ones where he fled and the ones where he surrendered to the angels.
    • That said, given how different things are in the Pantheon, with Kazuya as King of Bel around here, he's willing to let bygones be bygones as he's got a bigger priority; his vengeance against God, a.k.a. YHVH. Despite that, though, he doesn't care much for Lucifer and the GUAC. But while Kazuya is currently sided with Cosmos, Naoya isn't the type to follow anyone; his loyalties are only to his cousin, and nothing more.
    • Why does he hate YHVH so much? Well, given that he's a reincarnation of Cain, every time he reincarnates, he remembers everything from every single past life, including the one where he killed his brother Abel out of jealousy. Thus, he is thus unable to escape his sin. The sad thing is that Cain could break this cycle by using the time to reflect on — and repent for — his sin, but he's far too consumed by revenge to do so. This is because God set up the Cain and Abel scenario in the first place in order to get a murderer and a martyr. Cain feels that he was unfairly manipulated into killing his brother by an unjust God, and thus refuses to atone to a God that used him in such a manner.
    • That said, he would let go of his vengeance if YHVH just left the world alone. Of course, this is impossible in the Pantheon.
    • In regards to vengeance against YHVH, he has respect for those who've successfully killed Him or performed similar feats against other tyrannical or otherwise malevolent deities, such as Aleph, the Demi-Fiend, Asura, Xena, the Persona 2 heroes, the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, and Terra Branford. The same doesn't go for the likes of Merged Zamasu, Majin Buu (even Fat Buu), and Darkseid, though.
  • He's heard of other possible Cains around the Pantheon.
    • One is Vandal Savage, who may have been Cain and just forgot over the millenia. Except he apparently wasn't Cain at all; he just "stole" the Mark of Cain from a man who was passed it by the original Cain.
    • Another is Commander Kane... who is apparently his world's Cain...
    • Having heard various records, Ezio was surprised that Naoya was of a Chaotic stance as his world's Cain founded the very Lawful Templar Order. Naoya isn't amused with that irony.
  • Having battled three Biblical Bad Guys over the course of her adventures, Vampirella is keeping a sharp eye on him. She also feels a little conflict as the Cain in her world was her father.
  • His Communication Players, also known as COMPs, are an amazing invention. Aside from the demon summoning thing, it comes with a "harmonizer" program which, without getting technical, allows simple humans to fight on equal terms with SMT demons, and it also protects humans without supernatural defenses against them too. In addition, it has an auction site where demons can be contracted and a Cathedral of Shadows app for demon fusion. Also, somehow, it uses the internet as a repository of emotions for demon summoning. He's not sharing or selling, though, and will fight anyone who tries to have a go at it, though he's aware that some particularly talented thieves like Carmen Sandiego can take one of his COMPs if they ever so wish and there'd be nothing he can do about it.
    • Naoya's taken an interest in Alcor's Nicaea phone app, Aleph's COMP, Samurai Gauntlets, and the DEMONIC As, since they likely have other methods because the internet is normally inaccessible in their settings.
    • Kazuya's been trying to convince Naoya to have the COMPs be placed in the Treasury if he's that concerned about it being stolen, but progress is slow.
  • Makoto Yuki raised an eyebrow upon hearing him speak; Naoya sounded just like one of his Social Links, Akinari Kamiki. Naturally, Kotone also felt the same way.
    • Naoya notes his brother's co-deity partner Hibiki can sound just like him. Maybe that's why the two managed to get along pretty quickly.
    • Speaking of voices, he's noted that same thing from Izaya Orihara, Lex Luthor, and Trafalgar Law.
    • Isabeau thought she heard the voice of one of her former fellow Samurai Jonathan, and wasn't sure what to think of the Chaotic-stanced programmer as Jonathan was decidedly Lawful. She doesn't trust him, but his desire for vengeance against YHVH (as well as how he cares for Kazuya) means he can be at least trusted on that regard.
    • N doesn't like Naoya, since—apart from sharing voices—he exploits his brother just as his "father" Ghetsis exploited him, even if Naoya honestly believes what he did is for Kazuya's own good.
  • Naoya had to hold back a short laugh when he realized the boisterous Kamina sounded just like him. He also respects the rest of Team Dai-Gurren for their defiance of and defeating the Anti-Spiral.
    • As do Kazuya Mishima, Big the Cat, Miles Edgeworth, Ryu, Omega-Xis, and Wario, though minus the laugh.
    • Tsubaki feels conflicted around him since he sounds like her brother Masamune.
      • The same can be said for Madoka, especially since it's her father's voice she hears from him. As for his opinion on the whole Great Upheaval thing, he's keeping his eye on Homura, whose militant desire to protect Madoka to the point that she would even take her powers away so she can't do anything disgusts him.
    • The Investigation Team (sans Naoto) get the feeling that they've heard his voice before. Then it clicked; get past the calm and slick manner of speaking, and they're reminded of their first suspect in Inaba's murder cases; Mistuo Kubo.
  • Looking back at the time his COMPs were distributed, giving everybody in a locked-down Tokyo a chance to become a demon tamer, he finds it somewhat amusing that there is something similar in the Pantheon, though with Guardian Entities called Personas instead of demons. And that Kazuya was one of their "clients".
    • Speaking of which, Kazuya decided to take him along on a trip there, just the two of them, in hopes of understanding his cousin more. Having had to live with himself for millennia, Naoya decided to humor him. After that trip, ...let's just say those who would later visit the Persona Gallery would be surprised to see Naoya's picture among the rest.
  • "God's no friend of mine/I follow no god."

  • Pities: Sartorius, Doctor Doom
  • Opposes: The Grand United Alliance of Law and Grand United Alliance of Chaos
  • Opposed by: Several proud Overdeities, especially YHVH.
  • Yamato is a force to be reckoned with, being both incredibly strong and magically powerful, to the point where he could kill Administrators and their Swords with either his bare hands or just his mind, and on top of that, he has the Dragon Stream, a conduit of unbelievable magic power that can also increase his speed.
  • The Four Prime Factors also increase his power to ridiculous levels; Heat and Time power up his magic, Gravity boosts his physical strength even further, and Space lets him move long distances in the blink of an eye.
  • His ultimate goal is to create a world where everyone gets exactly what they deserve, with the strong leading the weak and no one being able to attain an unfair advantage over anyone else through birth, wealth, or treachery. In at least one timeline, he successfully achieves this dream, but this Yamato is not from there. However, after the attack of the Triangulum, he resolved to work for the good of everyone, and although he still believes in stratification based off of merit, and will not hesitate to kill in order to achieve his goals, strives to give everyone a chance to prove themselves.
  • He was shocked to find that Canopus and his servants had ascended, believing their influence to have ended after he and the rest of the cast of Devil Survivor 2 destroyed Canopus and freed the Earth, and seeks to cast them down once again.
    • Arcturus especially is attempting to have Yamato killed, because only the Dragon Stream can harm it, but so far Yamato has defeated everything sent after him.
  • Supports Light Yagami in his mission to kill criminals and villains, although he has some misgivings about not giving them a chance to prove they can be useful to society.
  • Arceus reminds him of Polaris, ruling his world through the Mythical Pokémon, and he says that if the population needs Arceus's guidance to prosper, it does not deserve that prosperity. Arceus strenuously disagrees.
  • Approves of Sam and Dean Winchester going against every big nasty that threatens their earth, as well as admiring their resolve and ingenuity when facing down beings much stronger than them.
  • The Men in Black admire his leadership of JP's, and although he has declined to become Agent Y, they still work together effectively against strange threats.
  • Lucifer once approached him with an offer to join the GUAC, and got a face full of Dragon Stream for his trouble. Yamato agrees with his philosophy up to a point, but disagrees with the extremeness of his Social Darwinism and insists that strict order is absolutely necessary for a strong society to function.
    • He once asked YHVH how he could advocate equality while insisting that he is superior to all others, and rather than dignifyying him with a response, YHVH hit him with "divine" lightning and warned him not to challenge the Great Will again.
    • When Cosmos asked him why he is Neutral instead of siding with Good, he asked if she would sacrifice a populated city for a strategic advantage. The GUAG has not contacted him since.
      • That said, he can be convinced to help them out if fellow demon tamer Hibiki (one of few powerful non-Lawful deities Yamato is pleased to see) convinces him to do so, but Yamato's "loyalty" will only extend to him. Thanks to Hibiki, he's learned a bit more on empathy, and even got a favorite food in the form of takoyaki. That said, there are those who believe Yamato's fascination with him is... more than just friends, bordering on possible jealousy.
    • For obvious reasons, neither Melkor nor Nekron made any attempts on convincing Yamato, as his philosophy goes against theirs right from the start.
  • Calls the Social Darwinism of Magneto and Charles zi Britannia hypocritical, as they have marked advantages in their supernatural abilities and are unlikely to actually be superior to those they look down upon. Yamato says that he has earned everything he has for himself, and although he comes from a wealthy family, said family tested him to make sure he was worthy before allowing him to lead JP's. Or so he claims.
  • Yamato is disappointed with how far Light Yagami has fallen in his desire to make the world a better place to being a simple crazy supernatural Serial Killer.
  • When he is bored, he joins the Monster Hunters on a hunt, leading to mutual respect and camaraderie. He is attempting to form a new branch of JP's in the Pantheon, and many of his first recruits are expected to be Monster Hunters.
  • His opposite number as god of Dystopia Justifies the Means, Darkseid, may be stronger than Yamato, but he is working on a plan to render himself invulnerable to the Omega Beams.
  • He often critically examines some of the Overdeities. They have been annoyed with his judgments on their performance, and although a few have taken his advice and become stronger or more influential, most agree that he shouldn't meddle in the affairs of his superiors. When they say this to him, he smiles knowingly and walks off. YHVH especially is watching him closely to make sure he doesn't try to rise any farther than he already is.
  • While Kyubey actually does have well-meaning intentions, Yamato hates him just like anybody else because humanity is still being exploited in doing so. His opinions on Homura is just as dim, especially as she hijacked an Overdeity's (Madoka's) powers just so she can live a life of comfort, even if she makes herself the devil in the process, which he sees as incredibly selfish.

    Alcor
Alcor, God of Stellar Names (Al Saiduq, The Anguished One, Angy, The Eighth Septentrione)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/anguished_one.png
  • Greater God; Overdeity if given access to the Akashic Record
  • Symbol: The Nicaea logo
  • Theme Song: Septentrione, the Devil Survivor 2 opening, or The Anguished One
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Orange
  • Portfolio: Walking Spoiler, Anti-Villain, Gravity Master, The Lucifer of the Star Race, Inhuman Morality, Mystical White Hair, Power Floats, Older than Mankind, E.T. Gave Us Summoning Spells, It's All My Fault, Sinister Geometry, Rage Against the Heavens, The Starscream, Dragon Ascendant, Well-intentioned Manipulative Bastard, Skill Crack, Even Chaos Has Standards
  • Domains: Enigmas, Stars, Freedom
  • Followers: Benevolent Eldritch Abominations, Miyako Hotsuin, Bifrons, Botis
  • Allies: Yamato Hotsuin, The SCP Foundation, the Grand United Alliance of Chaos, the Chaos Brigade, Greed the Avaricious, The Men in Black, The Machine, Samael, Kaworu Nagisa
  • Enemies: The Administrators, Azathoth, Cthulhu, the Eldrazi, Father and all Homunculi loyal to him, the Grand United Alliance of Law, Airy, HAL 9000, Samaritan, Loki's Brood, Lord Chaos
  • Opposes: Any Top God, like Arceus
  • Opposed by: Cosmos, Palutena, Pit, Zeus
  • Complicated Relationship with: H.P. Lovecraft, Lelouch vi Britannia
  • The first sign of Alcor's appearance in the Pantheon was when the Men in Black and the SCP Foundation each found new technology in their bases, complete with instruction manuals and [REDACTED]. He was given an SCP classification and works actively with both organizations, although neither is given full knowledge of his plans and nature. He is also responsible for the acquisition of [DATA EXPUNGED].
  • Arcturus, once feared by many for its invulnerability, is now much more vulnerable due to the presence of Yamato and now Alcor, both of whom can destroy it, resulting in something very much like hatred from the usually emotionless Administrator.
  • Polaris, after one more request for Alcor to return to her side, sent every Septentrione after him at once. Using the Four Prime Factors (Space, Time, Gravity, and Heat) he was capable of destroying all of them in only a short time. When finishing off Mizar, it is rumored that, under his breath, he said, "I'm sorry, my brother..."
  • Many Lawful deities have teamed together to protect Polaris from Alcor, as they see him with the power to reshape reality with the Akashic Record as a greater threat than the Administrators.
  • Alliance with him is very desirable, as his Nicaea app allows for the summoning of demons and the learning of one ability used by an enemy in every battle. However, no one seems to be able to find him unless he wants them to.
  • Gets along splendidly with Lucifer, since they have a lot in common. However, he is somewhat put off by the idea of Natural Selection unchecked, and refuses to join the GUAC because of that. He still works with the Chaos Brigade, though.
  • He and Kaworu Nagisa are remarkably similar, and Alcor sometimes regrets that Lucifer is in charge of the GUAC (other than the fact that anyone at all is "in charge") rather than Kaworu, who leans more towards Good than any of the Satanic Archetypes.
  • His long business relationship with Yamato has allowed them to work well together against the Administrators, as well as the Grand United Alliance of Law.
  • Despises YHVH for being so much like Polaris, despite it actually being the other way around
  • Alcor distrusts and dislikes any deities of the Top God variety, due to experience with Polaris and Canopus, as well as being opposed to authority of any kind. He is particularly skeptical of Arceus.
  • Good friends with Greed, since they both rebelled against and ultimately destroyed their evil masters. Also, they find it amusing that each of them is the rebellious one out of a group of eight (although Greed was two of them).
    • Due to this, Alcor has proven to be one of Father's most dangerous enemies, once almost defeating him before being fended off by Pride, giving Father time to escape. Alcor beat Pride, and wrote a message to that effect in the sky... with shadowy tendrils that he had skillcracked from Pride.
  • Since he is a good AI, Alcor gets along with The Machine and hates the many evil computers in the Pantheon such as HAL 9000 and Samaritan who encourage technophobia.
  • He actually gets along better with Samael than Lucifer due to Samael not being a Social Darwinist.
  • Alcor has a strange relationship with H.P. Lovecraft, since he would very probably not exist without the concept of Eldritch Abominations, but Lovecraft portrayed the Great Old Ones as uncaring and malicious, whereas Alcor argues that Blue-and-Orange Morality can just as easily go the other way, and since Azathoth, Cthulhu, and the other Lovecraftian horrors are categorized as Blue, Alcor publicly identifies as Orange, despite arguments to the effect that assigning a duality to Blue-and-Orange Morality merely creates a third alignment axis.
  • He claims to be Good, but most divinely associated deities, notably Cosmos and Palutena, get an uneasy feeling when around him, possibly due to his role in his own world.
  • Feels absolute disgust and contempt for Airy because she chose to side with her eldritch master against her travelling companions, whereas he resisted Polaris in favor of humans and the world.
  • Admires Lelouch for doing what was necessary to defeat Britannia and ultimately sacrificing himself to save the world from tyranny. Lelouch dislikes Alcor, though, because he never thought through what would happen after defeating Polaris, and in his ending to the original story dooms what is left of the world to starvation because of how little is left.
  • Seeks to defy the future by allowing people to see videos via Nicaea of those close to them dying in order to prevent it. This caused an enmity with Loki's Children, who would foretell the end of existence themselves, and do not want for it to be prevented.
  • Despises Lord Chaos for giving his namesake alignment a bad name. Alcor firmly believes that Chaos is a force for freedom, not destruction.
  • Pit doesn't like him. Other loyal angels also dislike Alcor in general, but Pit for whatever reason is very concerned about the number of Satanic Archetypes showing up, and thinks he may be able to take the Anguished One on using the Great Sacred Treasure.
  • Zeus compares Alcor to Prometheus, since he gave humanity technology to deal with demons. Other deities fear the destruction that would ensue if they came to blows, as although Alcor is not very aware of Greek mythology, he wouldn't be very fond of the Lord of the Sky.
  • Alcor was essential to showing Canopus that Earth was more than just an Insignificant Blue Planet (despite the negative consequences this brought), before defeating him. He believes that he can similarly force the Great Old Ones and possibly even the Outer Gods from the Cthulhu Mythos to respect humanity, and is confident that Azathoth could be handled just like Canopus. The ones that have taken notice of him dislike this, and intend to teach him the true meaning of a Cosmic Horror Story.

Polaris
  • Overdeity (Canopus), Greater God (Polaris, Arcturus, and the countless other Administrators)
  • Symbol: Blue Gears with Constellations
  • Theme Music: Akashic Record, Triangulum, and Providence
  • Alignment: Law (Canopus), Lawful Evil (Polaris and Arcturus)
  • Portfolio: Masters of the Akashic Records, Creators of Worlds and Life, Destroyers of Worlds Deemed Unworthy of Existing, Power of the Void, Starfish Alien, Stellar Name, Star Fish Language, Eternal Conflict With An Endless Army of Admins, Royal Blood and Sufficiently Advanced Alien, Opposing Those Who Disrupt Providence, Summoning Demons to Fight For Them.
  • Domains: Order, Creation, Destruction, Stars
  • Allies: The Forces of Order, Eliphas Star based lifeforms save for Alcor and Cor Caroli.
  • Enemies: Yamato Hotsuin, Alcor, The Forces of Destruction, Chaos, Most ascended humans, Vector and Shark, Forces of Nature, War, and Weapons (Arcturus), Shougo Makishima and Lucifer (Polaris)
  • Opposed by: Sirius
  • Pitied by: Rosalina
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: Several Lawful deities who are afraid of Alcor
  • Canopus is an absolute being who has lived since the beginning of existence, ruling over the Four Factors that control the cosmos (Heat, Space, Time, and Gravity). It created the Administrator system, a system designed to oversee countless worlds and universes via the Akashic Records that is a part of it. To this end it gave life to the countless Administrators and their Swords, alien lifeforms of varying appearances and ability who reside across space. Normally Canopus lies asleep in its own realm Providence, a place above both Akasha Stratum and the earth, which is also a part of Canopus body.
    • Polaris and Arcturus are two of the Admins that reside upon the Heavenly Throne and rule the universes for a cycle. Once that cycle is complete, another Admin will arrive and claim the throne, and so on and so forth. Arcturus exists as an Interim Admin and is made to substitute any Admin that has died before their cycle is complete. This cycle has been disrupted in the pantheon and now two Admins reside upon it.
  • Canopus has been calling out to all the Admins in the cosmos in order to help reogranize the pantheon, viewing it as a chaotic mess even as it and the Admins record the ascension of other deities into the pantheon. The third group that will arrive one day is theorized to be the Winter Diamond/Triangle lead by Betelgeuse.
  • Polaris is the universes Admin, residing on the Heavenly Throne in the Akasha Stratrum. She views humanity as an insignificant species to the universe, and saw her Sword Alcor give man knowledge, culture, and fire back when they lived in caves. Seeing how the species has not met her standards since then, she decided to test them to see if they could still have some worth as she erases them and their planet from existence. This test has lead her to believe humans are too dangerous a species to exist and only those who submit to Providence deserve to exist.
  • Arcturus is viewed as the Archenemy of the elemental empowered members of Nature, and many more due to its immunity to all elements, along with removing natural immunity or resistance they have to the element they control and leaving them weak to it via its Quasar spell. This ability is especially frustrating because it can't be avoided once unleashed. The houses of War and Weapons have likewise become wary of Arcturus, as its immunity to all attacks makes it impossible for them to fight back.
  • Yamato Hotsuin and Alcor are collaborating to destroy the Admins after what they almost did to their version of Earth.
  • Arcturus used to be completely invincible, but now that Alcor and Yamato have ascended, it has lost its dreaded status.
  • Eliphas was surprised to learn that the Numeron Force and Numeron Code were just a tiny, insignificant fragment of the Admin System, and its power was nothing compared to the full power of the Akashic Records under the Admin system. Worse yet, only Admins or their Swords can use the Numeron Code/Force to its full power. Despite what power any mortal or Astral being could unleash would be cancelled out easily by the Admin System it originates from.
  • Sirius is wary of the Admin System, partly due to the Void swallowing and erasing everything. He worries that even the Black Hole Server will disappear into the nothingness that the Admins control. Although he wonders since he is an alien that is also named after a star if he could become a Admin one day, and get that power for himself.
  • Polaris dislikes Lucifer in general for reminding her of her Sword Alcor as a bringer and champion of Freedom, while also loathing Shougo Makishima for his voice reminds her of Alcor. The feeling is mutual as her voice reminds him of Sibyl Systems avatar Chief Kasei.
  • As the ones in control of the Pantheons divine records they are the ones removing or moving groups from different houses in order to instill order. If they find a rule-breaker that deity is deleted from the pantheon.
  • Rosalina pities the Star Gods, feeling that they have lost touch with the joy of life in order to keep the pantheon and universes functioning with the Akashic Record. As one who births new stars and thus proves vital for new Admins and Swords Canopus has issued a defense program to protect her against threats.
  • Brainiac has been attempting to infiltrate the Akashic Record and ingest the vast knowledge within, but finds his path blocked by countless security systems due to only certain unique individuals besides the Admins and their servants can access it. Jibril has also sought access to it with little success due to its defenses. She has thankfully only been taking her anger out on Canopus minions, who quickly repair themselves upon "death".

    The Sinner
The Sinner, Deity of Sentences Longer Than One's Lifespan
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_protag.png
Two of their more common guises.
  • Intermediate Deity
  • Symbol: Their barcode. Alternatively, the Panopticon Eye.
  • Theme Song: The Price To Be Free
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: From a Crapsack World with Post Peak Everything, A Starting Life Sentence of 1 Million Years Because of Lost Memory, Very Customizable, Sentence Reduction By Doing Missions, The Leader, Human Resources, Made of Iron, Nerves of Steel, Zero Resolved Plotlines, accomplished Better With Teamwork, Very Slow Regeneration, Earning Swimwear For Working Off Their Sentence
  • Domain(s): Punishment, Parole, Rights
  • Heralds: Their Accessory (Robot Buddy/Warden), their ally Sinners
  • Followers: Sengoku, Merrill "Benten" Yanagawa, Gabimaru "Gogul" Rikiya, Kanae Kazaki, Solomon Roka, DuVaul, The God Eaters
  • Allies: Guts, Maximus, Anakin Skywalker, The Monster Hunters, Jensen Ames, Snake Plissken
  • Enemies: Cletus Cassidy/Carnage, Bondrewd, ADVENT, Big Brother
  • Fears: Judge Dredd
  • Pities: River Song, Aleph
  • Pitied By: Their allies, Earl Hickey, Agatha Heterodyne
  • Opposes: Earl of Lemongrab
  • Sentences for crimes usually come in the form of years served in prison/parole, and usually, the worst is a life sentence. And then there are cases with sentences far longer than one can expect to pay with their lifespan, sometimes ridiculously so. The Sinner got a million year-long sentence after birth for being a waste of human resources. "Thankfully", doing work for their Panopticon helps reduce the sentence... by tens of years (or tens of thousands of years for particularly hard or important ones). Usually, this work comes in the form of reclaiming kidnapped Citizens, repelling assaults by other Panopticons, scavenging resources, and other such necessities. With such a record, the Court decided to bring them to the Pantheon for such an unbelievable record after their plot (or whatever events remotely resemble it) was resolved.
  • Now that they're finally relieved of service of their Panopticon by way of their ascension, at long last, they have achieved true freedom; they can live however they want, they can keep whatever they want (as long as they can afford it), and there are no restrictions on who they can talk to (though who they wish to talk to still has the right to refuse conversation). Unfortunately, this has also left them at a loss on what to do, having been so used to following orders for so long. Fortunately, the GUAG was the first to approach and invite them to their ranks.
  • While they still have their "Accessories" with them, they're no longer tasked in keeping their Sinner in line and adding/reducing years to their sentence. Instead, they just serve to keep their Sinner updated on whatever mission they're on, general advice, and companion in battle.
  • The Sinner's weapons of choice are a melee weapon and ranged weapon "specialized" for taking down large mechs called Abductors. These range from knives, polearms, and brass knuckles for melee to handguns, flamethrowers, assault rifles, sniper rifles, autocannons, and portable artillery. They also have much more durability, agility, and might than an average human to ensure their survival in harsh conditions.
  • Due to their Panopticon life, they treat civilians, especially those who have valuable intel, science skills or are otherwise knowledgeable in essential non-combat stuff, with unnaturally high regard, even deeming their safety more important than whatever mission they're on.
  • Having been subject to a ridiculously long life sentence, they're always on edge whenever Judge Dredd is around; his world's judicial system also delivers long sentences, and unlike their world has very little hope for parole.
  • As fellow deities who've had to win their freedom, the Sinner sympathizes with Guts, Maximus, and Anakin, even though their freedoms were more easily won compared to theirs, in which the Anti-Hero and the gladiator were appalled that the Sinner had to serve that many years, nay, millennia.
    • That said, they're more cautious around the Force user, given his…history.
  • Earl Hickey was exonerated from jail by redeeming himself to people who he had wronged before and is saddened that the Sinner's sentence was harsher than his, not to mention the state of their world that warranted such a sentence.
  • The Sinner's former situation reminds Agatha of the inmates of Castle Heterodyne prior to her inheriting of it. At least sometime after she managed to claim the Castle for her own, either its (surviving) prisoners were freed unconditionally at some point during Klaus' siege of Mechanicsburg or joined up as her minions.
  • They know there are others who've had longer-than-life sentences in the Pantheon, and some of them absolutely deserved them, such as Carnage.
  • Due to how Human Resources are a premium in their world, they despise those who abuse them, such as Bondrewd. There's also the fact that he experiments on children, unlike how the Sinners rescue Citizens who then help make items for them.
    • In a similar vein, they oppose ADVENT as they’re perfectly willing to trick humanity into becoming more of their Mooks and bodies for their dying Elders.
  • One of their weapons is the Ibara Hookshot, which was noted to be like the Omni-directional Mobility Gear system used by the Attack on Titan deities.
  • Are frightened by the prospect of the Imperium of Man's Penal Legions, who are sent to suicide missions even the Imperial Guard aren't sent to, with a promise of forgiveness if they die, and freedom on the very, VERY small chance they live. But given how much of a Crapsack World the Imperium is from, which is much worse than their own…

    Jean Valjean
Jean Valjean, God of Hardships from Committing Minor Crimes (24601, The Convict, M. LeBlanc, Urbain Fabre, M. Madeleine, Ultime Fauchelevent, Joj Valjeaj, 24602060451)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/valjean.jpg
  • Demigod
  • Symbol: A sign with his numbers shown on front
  • Theme Song: Who Am I?
  • Alignment: Neutral Good (formerly Chaotic Neutral)
  • Domains: Redemption, Good, Strength, Liberation
  • Portfolio: The Atoner, Badass Pacifist, Being Good Sucks, Chaste Hero, Doting Parent, The Fettered, Guilt Complex, I Just Want to Be Free, Reformed, but Rejected, Super-Strength, Tragic Hero
  • Herald: Euphrasie "Cosette" Fauchelevent (his adoptive daughter)
  • Allies: Perry Mason, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones, Quasimodo, Esmerelda, Amélie Poulain, Madeline, Remy the Rat, Sara Crewe, the March Sisters, Sol Badguy, Zuko, Wolverine, Roger Thornhill
  • Enemies: Boba Fett
  • Opposed by: Javert, Manfred von Karma, Miko Miyazaki, The Dark Judges
  • Uneasy Relationship: Selina Kyle/Catwoman
  • Many had feared that the runaway known as Jean Valjean had left the Pantheon forever. It is well known that he has been hiding from Javert for many years. His absence suggested that the dispute may never be resolved. But lo and behold, Valjean was spotted in the House of Justice helping Perry Mason fend off an ambush. Attorney Manfred von Karma was stated to be responsible. Nevertheless, the fugitive made his presence known once more, confirming that he has returned to the Pantheon to represent those whose lives were ruined from petty crimes.
    • Most in the House of Justice have long since given up trying to arrest Jean Valjean. The good-aligned deities are convinced of his redemption while most neutral types consider his crime to be a waste of time. Just don't tell that to Javert. Arguments to leave Valjean alone have fallen on deaf ears. It appears that as long as the two exist, one would continue to pursuit the other for all of eternity.
    • There is at least one deity that joined him in that quest. Miko has sworn to help Javert bring in Jean Valjean for justice. She has taken things even further, suggesting the man to be killed on site for evading the law for so long. Javert has tried to temper those outbursts, preferring the law to determine his fate.
    • And then there are the Dark Judges, who take things even further to the extreme. They serve as the bane of Jean Valjean's followers and are often the cause of their misery. If they had their way, they would put down those criminals and their patron once and for all. Their actions have been condemned by the vast majority of beings in the House of Justice, even from Javert himself.
  • To say that he has many adaptations in his name would be an Understatement. He has shared avatars with the likes of Bryan Mills and Wolverine. It has helped him evade capture in a way. It's hard to find someone whose faces changes every few years.
    • Wolverine would rather not have Jean Valjean remind viewers his avatar used to be on Broadway. It tends to diminish his character's ruggedness.
  • Has sworn to live a life of redemption, even after his death. As such, he seeks guidance from Sol Badguy. The Atoner secretly thinks Jean Valjean is too hard on himself given his own crimes. He is nevertheless committed to help his friend relieve of his guilt.
  • Is credited for having one of the more memorable Heel Face Turns in the Pantheon. His followers hold Zuko to a high regard, especially since the firebender has committed far worse crimes.
  • While it's not true Super-Strength, Jean Valjean is certainly stronger than most human gods in the Pantheon. With that said, he hardly ever uses it to fight, more content to helping others. He has received aid from both Luke Cage and Jessica Jones. Cage knows all too well about being on the wrong side of the street and was glad the frenchman has turned a new leaf.
  • He almost certainly got much of his origins from Quasimodo, the Hunchback of Notre Dame. The two even share the same creator. Both think little of themselves, instead hoping to find redemption in their lives. Esmerelda was impressed with Valjean's steadfast faith, willing to help him out as well. That and making sure he doesn't go to the church of Frollo.
  • Is great with children, as he has raised a girl named Cosette as his own. Overprotectiveness aside, Madeline and Amelie welcome his presence in their temples.
  • Can always rely on Remy for a meal. Valjean doesn't mind a rat making his food in the slightest (he's eaten from far worst areas). Both have to deal with a society that has judged them for their backgrounds.
  • Has strived to take up Sara Crewe as one of his own children. Impressed with her kindness of others, he strives to be just as good as she is. Note that Sara believes Valjean has done more than enough to prove himself for redemption.
  • Has also given money to the March Sisters as support. He is especially protective of Beth due to her untimely demise.
  • Sometimes has to deal with bounty hunters every once in awhile. Boba Fett has him low on his priorities due to not wanting to deal with Javert.
  • Catwoman is a bit of a sore spot for him. One of her avatars shared a role with Fantine, the woman he felt responsible for her death. Not only that, Selina has used that look in his presence as a way to help her out. He has resisted thus far.
  • Shares a drink with Roger Thornhill on occasion. Both have all sorts of stories on their journey when they were on the run.
  • "Who am I? 24601!"

    Faye Valentine
Faye Valentine, Goddess of Con Artists
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bebop_faye_valentine_6499.jpg
  • Lesser Goddess
  • Symbol: Herself in cryosleep
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolios: Hot Chick, Action Girl, Con Woman, Smoker, Loves to Eat, Hidden Heart of Gold, Fish out of Temporal Water, Being Way Older Than She Looks
  • Domains: Crime, Con Men
  • Allies: Spike Spiegel, Jet Black, Radical Ed, Mugen, Jin, and Fuu, Space Dandy, Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Yoruichi Shihouin
  • Rival: Aqua
  • Enemies: Billy Kane
  • Conflicting Opinions: Philip J. Fry
  • Opposed by: The Evil Queen
  • Odd Friendship: Hit
  • Faye was one of only two members of the Bebop (the other being Jet) to remain following Spike's revenge against Vicious and his (presumed) subsequent death. For some time, the two just resumed with their Bounty Hunting until they got back in contact with Radical Ed, who told them about the pantheon and the adventures she had as a member of the Hacking Quintet. Wasting no time, Faye and Jet raced off towards the Pantheon and eventually gained godhood... or at least she did.
    • Faye found herself in the Pantheon alone, looking for Jet only to discover that he was unable to gain access to the crossroad of dimensions due to a registration error. Before she could roam off alone for too long, though, Ed and Fujiko Mine found her and informed her that she was assigned to stay with Fujiko as her High Priestess. Becoming good friends with Fujiko while staying in her temple, Faye eventually learned that she could take the Con Man title (or Con Woman in her case), and ascend as a goddess herself. The Court of the Gods were confused about letting a female have that trope, but ultimately allowed her to use it. Faye still remains close allies with Fujiko.
  • When Faye saw Spike in the pantheon, at first, she was willing to hug him because she missed him that much. She instead whacked him in the knee, since his supposed death had her and Jet very worried.
Faye: Gah! Don't you ever do that again!
  • Despite her appearance looking no older than 27, Faye has spent over fifty years in cryosleep. She once approached Philip J. Fry, hoping to find someone who had gone through a similar predicament. To her dismay, not only did Fry turn out to be an idiot, but, unlike her, he managed to adapt very quickly to his futuristic world, since he never fit in his original time period in the first place. He also compared her to Bender. She didn't like it.
  • Faye can often be found in the Light section of the House of Nature, mainly sunbathing. No one seems to mind that, but Sora has made a request for a cigarette receptacle and some ash trays because of Faye's habit of smoking.
  • Speaking of which, Faye holds no respect towards Billy Kane because of his anti-smoking views.
  • Faye has a minor rivalry with Aqua, in that they both hunt down crooks with all their skills, and both get suspended in time for a long period. However, their personalities contrast, with Aqua being Lawful Good and allying herself with law enforcements, while Faye is a bounty hunter specializing in con artistry.
  • Spent a lot of time working to find a way to get Jet's registration fixed, but it seemed to be held up no matter what she and Ed did. Someone seemed intent on keeping him out and separating the crew, and she wasn't sure if Spike's new friend Hit was connected to this or not. Hearing news that an assassination of sorts had taken place in cyberspace, she finally questioned Hit, who explained that, with help from Shiroe, he discovered that Jet's image on the registration files had been stolen by Love Machine, and was able to enter the malevolent AI's realm in order to defeat it. Two weeks came and went following this with no sign of the Black Dog, causing all of them to give up hope. Maybe it was too late to bring him in after all...
    • Two months later, some noise came from Jet's room, and he finally walked out in front of his crew. Faye was the first to react to this.
Faye: Damnit Jet! What the hell took you so long!?
