Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Who was going to help me with Medivh again?

And I would have added magnum's suggestions but I don't much about Disgaea bar the games with Laharl and Flonne. And wherever that Gabriel is from.

Number 96: Black Mist, God of Palette Swaps (96, Dark Mist, Black Astral, Chaos Number 96: Black Storm/Dark Storm)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/darkmist_6306.png
Black Mist's Chaos Form
  • Intermediate God
  • Symbol: His Number card alter ego and its Chaos form or the number 96 written in Tron Lines.
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Portfolio: Similar individuals with different colours, Red and Black and Evil All Over, Obviously Evil Counterpart, Dark Is Evil, Acceptable losses, Demonic Possession, Eyes Do Not Belong There, Use of tentacles, Completely insane, Kitchen utensil-wielding monster deck, "Rank Up Magic: Barian Force!", Winged Humanoid (in chaos form), Omnicidal Maniac Eldritch Abomination, Declaring himself to be a god
  • Domains: Evil, Numbers, Colours, Darkness, Chaos, Eyes, Kitchen Utensils
  • Allies: Vanitas, Bernkastel, Master Xehanort, Airy, Albedo, Yuuki Terumi, Kogane, Tzeentch (of sorts), Slaanesh
  • Enemies:
  • Opposed by: Dark Magician Girl, Yubel, Korra
  • Opposes: Any Dark Is Not Evil person or mon.
  • One of the 100 Numbers accidentally released by Astral, Black Mist always had his own agenda to follow. He once allowed Astral to absorb him so he could possess him. This failed but he kept the appearance of Astral with some differences: He is colored Red And Black instead of Astral's blues and teals.
  • One day, Astral was showing the Numbers to his friends from Kingdom Hearts. Sora was unfortunate to pick up Number 96, forgetting that was Black Mist (Ventus did try to warn him), resulting in the keybearer being possessed by the card. He was eventually drived away by Aqua but Black Mist escaped before he could be sealed. The GUAE members who saw this arranged his ascension.
  • As you can guess, Sora and company aren't fond of him. He especially creeps out Sora because their voices are similar and Ventus because 96 is just too similar to Vanitas.
  • Speaking of which, he and Vanitas became allies so easily it's scary. Vanitas did comment on 96 not being Astral's literal dark half, Black Mist explained that his origin, Don Thousand, is the expelled chaos of the Astral World, including Astral so he is still that.
    • Vanitas also presented him to Bernkastel. The latter was amused to meet another corrupted piece of memory like herself. Of course, this also meant that Rika started to oppose him when she found out.
  • Despite his alliance with Vanitas, 96's MO couldn't be more different. He finds truly pure-hearted people to be a waste of time and only attempts to possess those who still have darkness. He tends to ignore Ventus while focusing more on Sora and Aqua as a result. His more common prey is still Astral since he wants to get control of the rest of the Numbers.
    • Eventually found a more like-minded individual for these schemes in the form of Kogane. 96 was very interested on how he managed to brainwash Kouta Kazuraba for a while.
  • While his on-going war is against everyone from Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL, everyone else in the franchise hate him for being one of the few truly evil duelists. Even Dartz and Sartorius (when not brainwashed) hate this guy. You know you are bad news when Vector starts getting scared of you.
    • 96 is also the one time Dark Magician Girl and Yubel will have an Enemy Mine to try and destroy him due to being the worst of Duel Monster Spirits.
  • Can't decide if to join the GUAE or the GUAD. Yes, he wants to destroy the world, but he also wants to bring forth Don Thousand ever since he became aware of his true nature. One thing is true: He can't stand the GUAC. They are a bunch of softies in his opinion, especially Lucifer. Though there are hints he plans to take Don Thousands power for himself and get back at him and Vector for turning him into a puppet after his last loss to Astral and Yuma.
    • Korra has started to oppose him after hearing about his intentions since she thinks that he will start to aim to release Vaatu if he can't get Don Thousand to ascend.
    • Provisionally, 96 has started to work for Tzeentch. He knows that the Liar God can't be trusted but Black Mist is sure that this will only be temporary.
  • As if the fact that he often possesses the poor saps who find his card (and sometimes not even that) wasn't bad enough, Black Mist tends to extend his body to create tentacles to keep his victims in place. This peeked the attention of Slaanesh. Black Mist occasionally moonlights under hir since he likes to corrupt people.
  • Go ahead, try to mock him for being a Rank 2 and having 100 Attack Points. Let's see how far it gets you when he uses Shadow Gain and you find half of your strength stolen. And worst, he can do this up to three times. His Chaos form is worst, essentially having a noted-down version of Yubel's special effect (that's without mentioning his being able to Chaos Xyz Change other Xyz).
    • With that said, he can't abuse this ability as much as he would like against demon users and dark Pokemon, as they have immunity and resistance over his dark powers.
  • Has allied with Terumi and Airy since he finds their plans for the Pantheon a good alternative if he can't accomplish his goal.
    • And maybe, he does miss that brief time when he teamed up with Vector. Even if this was true, 96 is disappointed by how that guy was convinced to turn good for something as useless as friendship.
  • The less one mentions the time he lost against Tetsuo or the other time he literally became Vector's puppet, the better. He is not fond of that. Of course, Bernkastel and Terumi often tease him about this.
  • The heroes Deku and All Might are standing by to try to prevent any plans he has, fearing him having teleportation powers like the similar named villain Kurogiri.

The would-be conqueror Zs'Skayr found its DNA locked within the Omnitrix, but asserted itself and was freed. Another strand has found itself in the pantheon, and the devious ghost now wanders rampant throughout it.
    • Used to have tentacles jutting out from his abdomen, and an upside down skull. He's since gone through a makeover, looking more like the Grim Reaper. No word why asides from looking cool.
  • The Tennysons and Kevin Levin were not happy to see another of their villains enter into the pantheon, and likewise the Ectonurite was upset that Ben was already there. However he's not the only of his villains to ascend, and was glad to see Albedo wanted to settle a score with Ben as well. Obviously it's not a stable alliance, particularly due to being curious about the Ultimatrix. He also has it out for Animal Man and Beast Boy since their ability to shift into other creatures reminds him of Ben.
  • No longer inhabiting a protective yet limiting second skin, he and his race are incredibly vulnerable to light, specifically sunlight; even morning light will burn him to a crisp. The current Grim Reaper robes give some limited protection, but the light still hurts. Needless to say, Zs'Skayr was incredibly unhappy to learn that there was a god of the sun, and that Bright Man shared his house. Downright terrified of the overdeity Ezalor, who's presence has severely limited his ambitions.
  • To be free to reign over the Earth, he seeks to use Corrodium so as to block out the sun. Sure, it'd mutate normal life horribly, but he'd rule over it! To achieve this goal, he has sought out others who'd love nothing more than eternal darkness. So far he has gotten Balanar and Pitch Black on board, while pledging himself as the hand of Chernabog, who too sees natural light as a bane. For the time being their main focus is on eliminating Ezalor, whom they see as their biggest threat.
    • Hopes for Ungoliant to devour as much light as she can, giving him more freedom to operate.
  • Though light can kill him, truth be told it ultimately slows him down. Even before he became a god he's been Staying Alive over and over because all he needs is one strand of DNA. We're not even sure how many DNA samples he has on standby; dude's possibly even more immortal than Ridley. Zs'Skayr personally can't help but admire those without his special genetic code continue to survive, such as Dougen and Clockwerk.
  • Comes from Anur system, a spooky system of planets where the aliens resemble movie monsters. His own world of Anur Phateos is much like the Null Void, and in constant darkness. Seeking those like his prior allies, he ended up meeting the King of the Vampires and decided they should work together for their own ends. A closer alliance was forged between him and the Boos as they're both ghosts who hate the light. Has a harder time with Frankenstein's Monster, as his alliance with the similar Transylians was troubled.
  • Darkrai and Anakaris has made it clear they oppose Zs'Skayr's schemes of darkness and conquest. Darkrai in particular as he is reminded of his uber-evil Mystery Dungeon counterpart. The Joker is a lot more willing to go along with his schemes For the Evulz, but keeps his guard up due to the aliens' experience with clown-themed criminals. The High Ecto-Lord ended up going back to the House of Ghosts instead, only to end up in conflict with Danny Fenton. He can't help but envy the halfa, due to being a ghost who isn't weak to the sun, and due to his litany of other ghost powers regards him as a major threat.
    • As an evil ghost, he's one of many on the Ghostbuster's hit list.
  • To walk around in the sun, he has to possess other people. While useful, he finds it irritating as he can't use his powers inhabiting another person. Because of the divine nature of the gods, it's a lot harder than before to possess those of equal or higher ranking. And of course, he cannot possess hybrids due to the DNA quirk, which is why the Omnitrix is troublesome for him. It proved to be not just for alien hybrids as he was seen screaming when trying to control Indomitus Rex. Proved to be an agonizing experience trying to control Black Lanterns as well.
    • Will not try to possess Majin Buu or Dark Danny. He'd just get absorbed by Buu, and given how Dark Danny came about fusion will probably backfire.
  • As Zs'Skayr possesses people, he's disliked by Sakura Matou, Liezerota and Mediev. They aren't of his concern though, since he doesn't see much use in controlling them. He's more worried about exorcists Rika Furude, Father Kerras, Father Merrin and Killia. Especially Killia, who uses light-based Holy Hand Grenade exorcisms that leave him screaming. He's not even gonna bother fighting him.
  • Was once rescued by Vilgax, only to betray him and control/convert the citizens on his planet. The Vortigaunts are very cautious when it comes to the matter of Zs'Skayr for this reason.

Randall Boggs, The God Who's Always Second Best (Randy, Ned, Switt, Lizard Boy)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/randall_mi_161.png
  • Votes: 2
  • Date of ascension: 13 September
  • House: Popularity
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: A mirror, with the words "World's Best Scarer" written below it
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio: Always The Second Best Scarer, The Rival, Chameleon-Snake Thing, Smugness, Used to Be a Sweet Kid Until He Wanted To Be Cool, Former Friend To Mike and Sulley, Slender Villainy, Would Hurt a Child, Needs Glasses
  • Domains: Envy, Fear, Camouflage, Villainy, Monsters
  • Followers: The Bronze Kneecap, Yzak Joule, Denethor
  • Allies: Syndrome, Gaston, Looten Plunder, Thaal Sinestro, Pitch Black, Draco Malfoy
  • Rival: Queen Chrysalis
  • Enemies: Mike and Sulley, Archibald Snatcher, Princess Luna, Darkrai, James Henry Trotter, the Toys from Toy Story
  • Opposes: Freddy Krueger
  • Opposed by: The House of Children
  • Being under someone's shadow can be a bitter pill to swallow, but it can become even better when victory is just out of your grasp. Randall Boggs was one of Monsters Inc's greatest scarers, which wasn't hard to pull off for him due to his sinister attitude and chameleon-esque camouflage. However as best he tried, he was Always Second Best to Mike. It was something Randall could never deal with, and would turn to villainy to overcome his rival.
  • Randall used to be a nice, socially awkward kid, a friend to Mike. However his desire to be popular would drive him to evil, abandoning this friendship. Now in the House of Popularity, he seeks to show up his eternal rival by becoming the greatest god in his House...a tall order when guys like Thanatos and Mr Rogers share his housenote . He found a friend in Draco Malfoy, whom seeks a rise in his own popularity as well. His strange charisma is something old Lizard Boy wants a hand in.
  • Seems to resemble a chameleon crossed with a snake and centipede. He's incredibly good at camouflage, even being able to scare his fellow monsters. While sneaking around the House of Shape he discovered the impersonator Queen Chrysalis, who ended up competing. Randall is intrigued by the fact love has a power.
  • Unsurprisingly, he was happy to learn that the pantheon had a House of Fear, and immediately applied to be The Dreaded god. The Court of the Gods told him no, but Randall wanted in anyway and had the misfortune of encountering the likes of Ungoliant and Medivh. He was later seen cowering in the corner, accepting that he should probably stick with Popularity. Later visits had him get along with Pitch Black, and become fascinated with the likes of Sinestro. Intrigued by the monster's potential, Sinestro has permitted him to try and prove himself worthy of a Sinestro Corps ring.
  • The House of Children doesn't like Randall has he'd permanently scar them to get the frights he needs. James Trotter has a major bone to pick on his for this, and the monster trying to steal as much fear from him as possible. Still, bad as he may be he doesn't kill the kids. And like most of the gods, he thinks Freddy Krueger goes too far(though he does respect his mastery over nightmares.
    • With Waternoose jailed, he's currently working with Looten Plunder to make a mint, and help cripple rival businesses.
  • To improve his scaring ability, Randall has sought to control both Princess Luna and Darkrai to have master over nightmares. He had to take a few loans from the GUAE to even have a chance, and even then only briefly managed to capture them. Darkrai proceeded use Dark Void on him, entrapping Randall in his worst nightmare; becoming a freak show for the trailer family he was stuck with, their children laughing at him.
  • Seeking validation for his ego, he has teamed up with like-minded Disney villains Syndrome and Gaston. He has pledged himself to help eliminate superheroes and the Beast, so long as he can utterly trounce Mike and become The Dreaded of the pantheon. Despite their massive egos, they get along since none of their plans conflict with each other.
  • Having learned that scaring adults provides a lot more power than scaring kids, Randall has decided to "branch out" and prove himself by scaring some of the older gods. It hasn't gone too well, as most see him for the Smug Snake he really is.
    • Needs to wear prescription glasses, but chooses not to because they're a Nightmare Retardant. Of course, so is bumping into random houses because you're near-sighted.
  • Nowadays it's rumored that Randall may have had a Heel–Face Turn, but they're likely just rumors he started to look good. A more likely rumor is that he is Andy's monster, and may have even worked with Sid in order to get back to his own world. He did end up trying to scare Andy once only to run into the Toys, leading them to become enemies.
  • There is one and only one occasion when he'll have an Enemy Mine situation with Mike and Sully; when trying to face off against Archibald Snatcher, who wishes to destroy their entire monster world.

@RJ: I already mentioned the "Syndrome, Gaston" listed under "Allies" twice in the past, and it's still there even after I told you to fix it and you claimed to have done it the first time.

Anyways, Dark Pit (is Character Writing the right place for him?) and SpaceGodzilla have arrived.

Hey RJ can you please finish Character Archetypes? Because Character Writing is too long again.

And post it here. There is no need to do that on the restructure page

@ r-lock: Sorry, I forgot. I'll deal with that immediately

@ fasoman: Here you go: Character Archetypes (Narrative sub-house). I didn't need to add a paragraph since the other Narrative sub-houses didn't need to. May I go ahead and modify the Narrative house now? In addition, the House of Mammals is getting rather big itself. How would you divide it if needed? I would split it into Herbivores and Carnivores

The Inception Crewmembers , Deities of Dreams within Dreams and Opinion Changing Dreams

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/inception_8.jpg
From left to right: Eames, Cobb, Ariadne, Yusuf, Arthur
  • Potential House: Mind Games
  • Theme Song: Time.
  • Lesser God(ddes)s
  • Symbol: Cobb's top
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Portfolios: Badass Crew, Caper Crew, Gray-and-Gray Morality
  • Domains: Memory, Trickery, Construct, Nightmare
  • Herald: Saito
  • Allies: Ebenezer Scrooge, Pluto, Lucy Ricardo, Michael Scott, Carmen Sandiego, The PAYDAY crew and the GTAV crew, Len
  • Enemies: Immorten Joe, Bane
  • Opposes: Calvin J. Candie, The House of Justice
  • Annoyed by: Imperator Furiosa, Max Rockatansky, Bruce Wayne / Batman
  • Complicated Relationship: Dream of the Endless, Ysera, The House of Commerce
  • Fears: Nightmare deities
  • Pities: Jack Dawson, Romeo Montague, Jay Gatsby
  • Their daring journey into a person's mind not one, but 'four times earned the crew entry into the Pantheon. While they have initially went their separate ways, they converge in the Pantheon whenever someone wants to hire them to perform a similar operation.
    • One of the biggest obstacles towards their ascension was the fate of Cobb. It is implied that he got out of limbo though a few deities still believe he is stuck there to this day. With the creators remaining mum over the scene, the ending will likely be debated for years to come.
  • It is now believed that they are responsible for every dream sequence that has multiple dream sequences. Other creators have started to use them as part of them repertoire. The crew feel that they constantly have to go deeper just to maintain their reputation.
  • The only participant that didn't achieve godhood outright, Saito was considered a tourist at best. Indeed, he didn't have a good performance in the first dream level. Nevertheless, the others decided to grant him herald status as thanks.
  • Virtually everyone in the Pantheon wanted to know just how Dream of the Endless would react to potential rivals. When asked, his opinion felt... mixed. Sure, he is not pleased with the fact that ascended humans have now achieved the power to not only enter but also change dreams at will. Ultimately, the prospect intrigues him. It's this reason that he as allowed them to enter the Pantheon... for now. The crew strive not to piss him off as he is infamous to hold grudges for millennia.
  • As it turns out, Cobb has many other beings in the Pantheon who share an avatar. His reaction to them varies:
    • He sympathizes with the likes of Gatsby and Jack Dawson: the both of which for their untimely demises. He is only grateful that he did not have the same fate. The same goes to Romeo, although he doesn't always share the same avatar.
    • However, he feels nothing but contempt for Calvin for obvious reasons. Yusuf especially finds him abhorrent.
  • Eames had much worse luck regarding the characters that look like him. One time at the bar, she was tackled by a one-armed woman and beaten half to death before the Road Warrior got her off him. Turns out Furiosa thought he looked like the hated Immorten Joe. She didn't apologize, but promised not to make the same mistake.
  • He has also been put in Batman's radar as of late, due to his similarities to Bane, the Genius Bruiser. Not wanting to deal with such a dangerous superhero, they cut all ties with the villain. Batman does have a soft spot with Arthur, who reminds him of John Blake.
  • Is widely seen as responsible for changing Scrooge's alignment to Lawful Good. Cobb admitted it wasn't their true goal; it was suggested by the Christmas Gods for them to do so. Still, Scrooge thanks them for give him a change of heart.
  • Pluto has also thanked them for realizing how cruelly he's treated feline followers.
  • Are under constant observation from Ysera, God of Dream Weavers. Although the dragon recognizes they are not inherently evil, she knew that they were capable of doing to for the right price. The group made a deal with her not to deal with her affairs while striving not to deal with more sinister deities.
  • Len takes a more laid-back approach. She may appear before them during one of their heists, but is more likely to observe them work. Sometimes, she even helps them out for her own amusement. Of course there's not much they can do when she enters their dreams. She' grown fond of Cobb's mind in particular, hoping to meet the subconscious of his dead wife.
  • Rumor has it that Lucy's avatar would not have converted her radio show to the television screen if not for a dream that convinced her otherwise. Everyone has agreed it was the right thing to do, given that her creation now sits in the Pantheon over seeing all other sitcoms in the Pantheon.
  • The crew denies any involvement regarding Michael's Scott's memory of them film. The office employer still insists that he watched the movie... at least that's what he thought.
  • Carmen Sandiego expressed interest in working with the crew. She may not need help when it comes to stealing items, but anyone who can steal and alter memories without the victim ever knowing could be a huge asset for her. The crew have found her a delight to work with, though they are wary about doing the same to them.
  • They are also supported by deities dedicated to The Caper. Their exploits may not be as complicated, but they helped the Inception crew plan out their capers in exchange for information on certain companies.
  • Their crimes have the House of Justice worried. The crew usually have their info before their victims even knew they were robbed. Judge Dredd promised to increase surveillance in order to track them.
  • Their main targets have been the House of Commerce, either extracting information from their heads or altering their subconscious. This puts them in an awkward position with the deities there; they may fear what they are capable of, but are all too happy to employ them to ruin their rivals. Cobb has made sure not to have favorites among the house.
  • An interesting discussion propped up among the gods; what would happen if Cobb's crew tried to enter Riley's mind with the Emotions? Neither side wanted to test it out, but a mortal did do a mash-up trailer of the two. Many thought it meshed surprisingly well.
  • If it looks like one of their victims are suffering from a nightmare, they stay out of the way. Chances are it's the doing of someone such as Pitch Black or Freddy Krueger. Either one could wreck their efforts if not make themselves go mad.

I would honestly get rid of Koku-hoh since he is the weaker profile. Also, Bambification is a thing.

A potential separate House i found is Canines, with the biggest group (Hachiko, Chibiterasu, Fox Mc Cloud, Krypto, Zinogre, Cerberus, Jake the dog, Wolf O'Donnel)

[up]x2 We can treat them as alternate incarnations. Fafnir in the pantheon could even be treated as an ally, while the Medusa and Odin in the pantheon would likely be enemies. If by Medusa you mean Fate-Stay Night Rider who is not the complete ass that is SMT Medusa.

Beelzebub in this is an alternate like IV's Lucy unlike the dutiful dragon/ ally in other games. I might even conflate him with the evil Bondage Babe Beelzebub, Angel Beelzebu, and DEVIL CHILDRENS anime only evil Zebul.

Edit: In SMT they are the Old Gods because they reigned before YHVH fully dominates. Many are demonized while others try to appease or side with YHVH/Lucifer to get by in a world dominated by Monotheism.
