The NyanCave is a group currently consisting of Clay and Nyanny, who do livestream gaming content on YouTube. They mostly livestream JRPGs and Visual Novels, though they do play games outside of those categories.

The NyanCave contains examples of:

  • Back for the Finale: Of a sort. Tom makes a (temporary) return to the streams after his departure back in 2020 for the channel's playthrough of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles - Resolve, the last Ace Attorney game available at present. He has however stated that he's open to being in more streams, should his schdeule allows it.
  • Cheese Strategy: The Ariel Summon in Kingdom Hearts III. Taken up to eleven when it allowed Clay to defeat Data Saïx in the Re:Mind DLC on the very first try, a notoriously hard fight that others have spent hours on.
  • Childhood Friends: Clay and Tom; they have mentioned to have met each other prior to high school, and have remained steadfast friends since then.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Both of them are prone to this, but its much more evident with Nyandroid. When asked, he states that its a result of living on an island during his childhood.
  • End of an Age: Tom leaving the channel. Tom has been with the channel since its inception, and his decision to leave is due to a variety of personal reasons, the biggest of which is moving away from the house they all live in to stay with his partner. Unsurprisingly, his departure means that things in the channel will never be the same again.
  • Insane Troll Logic: The entire Catherine playthrough in a nutshell. It has to be seen to be believed.
  • It Amused Me: The reason behind Clay's... more questionable choices in games 99% of the time.
  • Let Us Never Speak of This Again: Their feelings about Corpse Party in general after having played through it as a Halloween special. While they did finish the game, they have stated that its not a series they're not too interested in continuing just due to the amount of Squick it had.
  • Mechanically Unusual Fighter: Clay's specialty when he plays games that allows character customization. Highlights include Mage Terra (Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep) and Tank Flayn (Fire Emblem: Three Houses), among many others.
  • Noodle Incident: The 2017 PSX event stream. The stream itself has been lost due to technical error, but the stories from the ones who were there to see it live on. Most memorable is the birth of Clay's memetic 'fuck y'all norman reetus'.
  • No Sense of Direction: In nearly every game Clay plays he gets lost.
  • Old Shame: For Nyandroid, everything about Acro from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Justice For All. Even bringing up the character alone is enough to make him cringe.
  • Running Gag: The NyanCave has many running gags in each playthrough, including:
    • Nanako's flan. In Persona 4 Golden, there is a moment when you can secretly eat some flan Nanako made that is in the fridge. Due to the sheer iniquitousness of the situation, it quickly became a meme.
    • 'Is this Bryce Papenbrook?', courtesy of Nyandroid during the their playthrough of Persona 5 Royal. Came full circle upon discovering that Morgana'a human form during the Third Semester was voiced by the man himself.
    • Clay wanting to play Zone of the Enders on stream but never having a chance to due to some reason or another. Eventually subverted on a day when Nyandroid fell sick, so the usual streams were cancelled in favor of Clay finally getting to fulfil his dream.
  • Suddenly Voiced: Nyandroid. For a long time one could only hear bits of his voice when he got particularly loud, but Clay eventually forced him to have a microphone because - in his own words - 'he has to be responsible for what he says instead of making me say it'.
  • Tear Jerker: Tom's farewell stream, full stop. Though it'd been clear that the guys had been doing their best to hold it back, it was all for naught as a special video made by some of the channel members collectively brought everyone to tears.
