    United States of America
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kx_usa_48.png
Flag of the United States of America (under the Navy Junta)
Flag of the Estados Unidos
Official Name: United States of America, United States of Columbia, Estados Unidos (Mexican puppet)
Ruling Party: Republican Party (Conservatives)note
Ideology: Liberal Conservatismnote

  • Adapted Out: Floyd Olson, a potential candidate in the 1936 Presidential election in vanilla Kaiserreich, is entirely absent here, as like his real life counterpart (and unlike his KR counterpart), this Olson dies of stomach cancer in August 1936.
  • Enemy Mine: If Norris or Garner manages to prevent the Civil War, the disparate right-wing (for the former) or left-wing (for the latter) forces in America can unite into one force under the National People's Party (led by Murray and Lindbergh) or the Populist Party (led by Long and Reed), prevailing through elections instead of war.
  • Military Coup: After overthrowing the civilian government (as can also happen in vanilla KR), if Douglas MacArthur fails to keep the United States Navy loyal and does not ask Congress to control the Navy, he'll himself be overthrown by either Admiral William D. Leahy or Ernest J. King, who replaces MacArthur's army junta with a navy junta.
  • Prevent the War: Unlike in vanilla Kaiserreich, it is possible for all moderate Presidents (anyone other than Haywood, Long or Murray) to prevent the Second American Civil War entirely by following specific steps.
  • Puppet State: If Douglas MacArthur makes a deal with Henry H. Arnold regarding the Pacific States' secession and defeats the radicals in the Civil War, then declares war on and loses to the New Pacifican Republic, the NPR will spit out the USA as a puppet, having no desire to have anything to do with the 'infected and morally-bankrupt kakistocracy' in DC.

  • Back from the Brink: Due to Liberia's size and resources in comparison to those of America, returning to Washington as Hoover after losing the 1936 election and fleeing to Liberia is one of the most difficult paths in the game.
  • Government in Exile: In the wake of the Second American Civil War's eruption, Hoover flees to Liberia and can proceed to declare the government in Monrovia to be the True American Government, and begin making preparations for his eventual return to Washington.
  • President for Life: If Hoover flees to Liberia and proceeds to successfully return to Washington, he declares that he will never be stepping down. His time in Liberia has taught him that democracy is a weakness, not a strength. Hoover's new America shall be one of order and stability.
  • Random Number God: Hoover can only run for a third term if the Garner-Wagner bill passes, which is almost completely dependent on RNG (the player can only slightly increase its chance of passing by working with either radical group).

  • Fictional Political Party: If Norris successfully stabilizes America and wins reelection, the Progressive Party will be cemented as a major party able to compete in presidential elections. This will usher in the "Fifth-Party System" as the Democrats and Republicans merge to form the New Whig Party to serve as the Progressives' main opposition.

  • Cult of Personality: MacArthur's men are expected to show the utmost loyalty to him, and most worship him like a god.

  • Elite Army: After being driven from D.C., MacArthur becomes convinced that his men need more training and insists that they should be pushed to new levels, so they would be unmatched on the battlefield.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Although it is debatable whether MacArthur (as in vanilla KR) starts out as a hero or villain, this becomes much less ambiguous if he is driven from D.C. to Denver, as he becomes an ultranationalist dictator who rallies people to massacre those who have betrayed the US, and seeks a world where America, and America alone, is on top.
  • The Gulag: After the civil war, MacArthur has the military and home watch round up dissidents and send them to military camps to do hard labor.
  • The Remnant: If Washington falls while the WCC is still standing, MacArthur will flee to Denver and join forces with Omar Bradley, there to continue fighting.

  • Defector from Decadence: When the Civil War erupts, Leahy initially supports Douglas MacArthur, but disagrees with the latter's treatment of the civilian government, believing that the military should largely stay out of politics. • Red Baron: If he manages to defeat the rebels and the tyrant MacArthur (the 'American Caesar'), Bradley becomes known as the American Pompey.
  • Regime Change: The Containment doctrine adopted by the Bradley administration involves providing aid to countries in danger of falling to leftist radicals, and causing tensions within those that already did.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Though ostensibly loyal to Douglas MacArthur's junta in DC, Bradley is no fan of MacArthur himself. When the civil war erupts, this alignment has been cemented, but there is certainly a potential for conflict should the USA emerge victorious.

  • Cincinnatus: After making his deal with Douglas MacArthur regarding the Pacific States' secession, Arnold willingly returns power to the civilian government.
  • Military Coup: If the interim PSA government doesn't crack down on the secessionist peacemongers, Arnold will march on the capitol building with his men, disarm the National Guard, and declare himself temporary leader of the PSA.

Upton Sinclair

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/portrait_cal_upton_sinclair_1.png
Role: Presidentnote
Party: Commonwealth Partynote
Ideology: Radical Progressivismnote

  • Dry Crusader: Sinclair bans liquor, which he considers to be harmful to the moral fabric of society.
  • Internal Reformist: Despite his socialist beliefs, Sinclair thinks that trying to come to power legally is better than to outright rebel like the Combined Syndicates of America does, and views Bill Haywood as a radical who tries to abandon democracy and replace the constitution to fit his own agenda. While he can make peace with the CSA, he will not accept a revolutionary syndicalism that replaces the original constitution across the entirety of America.
  • Population Control: Sinclair strikes down laws against birth control and makes it more easily available in poorer neighbourhoods to encourage less productive citizens to have fewer children.

William Randolph Hearst

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kx_hearst.png
Role: Presidentnote
Party: National Democratic Party
Ideology: Hearstian Democracynote
In-Game Biography: Click to Show

  • Big Fancy Castle: Declaring Hearst Castle the cultural capital of California, President Hearst expands it by purchasing 110 acres of land, importing art from Europe and inviting local sculptors to decorate.
  • Culture Police: Hearst's Media Regulation Act empowers the new Broadcasting Division of the Federal Police to ban the publications of prominent radicals before they could attempt a coup.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: Hearst, a hysterical racist, believes that Yellow Races seek to overtake the White Race through immigration and imperialism. The Pacific belongs to America, not Hirohito or the Chinese.
  • President for Life: After Hearst wins an election, he turns himself into a dictator through his control of the media and political process, eventually winning reelection with 80% of the popular vote. Though some find this deeply suspiscious, most are careful not to voice their complaints too loudly.
  • Propaganda Machine: Hearst, a man notable for being disliked by the common people on a personal level, uses his papers to make sure people still feel he is the only viable option. The Hearst Papers make sure to run articles on the death toll resulting from the war with MacArthur that Hearst promises to put an end to, with numbers experts call inflated. Other articles include stories about local crime, the rampage of both syndicalists and gangsters, Canada and Japan's plotting against America and, most absurdly, the other parties plotting with the CSA.

Edward Longstreet Bodin

Role: Presidentnote
Party: The Spiritualist Movementnote
Ideology: Esotericismnote
In-Game Biography: Click to Show

  • Conspiracy Theorist: Much of Bodin's support comes from their increasingly popular Redshirt Conspiracy, which states that the syndicalist revolution in Britain was actually a false flag operation done by the British monarchy to move their military to Canada and reconquer the United States when they least expect it. In fact many believe that syndicalism in the United States is part of a plan to destabilise the US to help in this task.
  • I See Dead People: In the Christian Mysticism path, reports of paranormal activity, including some written directly by Bodin, are spread among party speakers and activists alongside a new Department of the Paranormal that investigates claims of the paranormal and offers to speak with dead relatives to those who request it at a price.
  • President for Life: After winning the American Civil War, Bodin restores the beloved American tradition of elections, with the only legal party being his own Spiritualists.
  • The Quisling: Bodin's Spiritualist Party must have Japanese backing to come to power. If Japan finds them to be a liability, they may sideline them for more direct intervention.
  • The Starscream: At the end of their tree, the Spiritual Party declares an intention to reclaim the United States and give their erstwhile Japanese overlords an ultimatum between sticking with them or incuring their wrath.
  • State Sec: The Messengers are a security service in direct contact with the Eternal President of the Spiritualist Party, made up of His most devout followers and will always relay His word.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: If he goes too much with occultism and outlandish beliefs, the Japanese will remove Bodin for being unfit for leadership and replace him with a less insane leader.

  • Egopolis: San Francisco can be renamed to Norton City, in honor of Joshua Abraham Norton.
  • Historical Badass Upgrade: Charles Ross Norton never had any political ambitions and is a extremely obscure figure outside of being a distant descendant from Norton I. Here, he has the potential to become the ruler of the United States of America, albeit in an admitedly wild gamble.
  • Knighting: In order to create an aristocratic class, Norton auctions noble titles to the highest bidder, or grants them to the most influential people.
  • Reluctant Ruler: Norton II did not want to take the crown, viewing his cousins' claims as insane and the entire concept of a Pacifican Empire absurd. However, he does so because he wants to improve the lives of the people of the West Coast.
  • Richard Nixon, the Used Car Salesman: In real life Charles Ross Norton was a nobody from South Africa who declared himself Emperor in the San Francisco streets, in Kaiserredux he can actually become emperor of the Pacific States.

In-Game Biography: Click to Show

  • Deal with the Devil: Although Aiso only wants Japan and the Pacific States to be equal partners when ensuring rights for Japanese Americans and establishing ties with the Empire of Japan, his efforts also provide the Japanese with an opportunity to assassinate him, prop up a more loyal person, and turn the Pacific States into a Japanese puppet.
  • Kill and Replace: One of Japan's options to deal with Aiso is to assassinate him and replace him with a body double, if they don't want to risk jeopardising their control over the West Coast.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: After Aiso's efforts to establish close ties between the Empire of Japan and the Pacific States of America, if the Japanese decide that Aiso is not subservient enough, they can have him assassinated and replaced by someone more loyal.

Tamon Yamaguchi

  • History Repeats: The Japanese treat whites in the same way whites used to treat the Native Americans: by sending them to reservations.
  • Military Coup: If the Japanese decide that Aiso is still a gaijin that must be replaced, they'll have Yamaguchi lead the Japanese garrison to overthrow and execute him, and put a Japanese military cabinet in charge of the Pacific States.

Role: Presidentnote
Party: Radical Coalition (The Sentinels of the Republic)note
Ideology: Corporatocracynote
In-Game Biography: Click to Show

  • Corrupt Corporate Executive: Du Pont is the classical Anarcho-Capitalist and social Darwinist who removes all regulations and allows corporations to ruthlessly exploit New England, all in the name of protecting their wealth. In an event, when DuPont workers go on strike following a string of deaths they blame on unsafe working conditions, the Sentinels have the choice to crack down or simply fire them, accusing them of attempting to extort a business they could leave following the end of their contract or if they were strong enough to resist it.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: Many Sentinels, especially du Pont and Alexander Lincoln, are raging anti-Semites, associating Jews with socialist subversion, racial inferiority and hostility to Anglo-Saxons.
  • Privately Owned Society: The Sentinels will dissolve the court system, public defence, public police, taxes, all economic regulations and the State itself, turning New England into an Anarcho-Capitalist society where 'man will finally be able to act out his will under true liberty'.
  • Private Military Contractors: The Sentinels view the state military system as a failure and replace it with private contractors. While this will shrink the military, it still leave the most qualified for fighting, and after corresponding tax cuts the Sentinels will keep employing many military men as it can afford, choosing quality over quantity.
  • The Social Darwinist: The Sentinels are social Darwinists who believe that might makes right and man has a right to lands that can't defend themselves and don't sign a contract with them.
  • Would Hurt a Child: With no more labour regulations, children are 'provided' work as soon as they are old enough to understand and sign contracts.

  • The Social Darwinist: Stoddard seeks to create a purified society ruled by superior men and women, while degenerate and mediocre elements of society (including syndicalists) must be segregated and sterilised. Since the real Stoddard was a major influence on Nazism, this shouldn't be any surprise.
  • Super Breeding Program: Stoddard encourages the reproduction of the so-called superior genes to eliminate the degerate elements of society.

Role: Kingnote
Party: Providence Societynote , Providence Societynote  (Radical Socialist), Providence Societynote  (Totalist)
Ideology: Lovecraftismnote , Left Lovecraftismnote  (after 'death')
In-Game Biography: Click to Show

  • Apocalypse Cult: The Esoteric Order of Dagon, named after Obed Marsh's cult in The Shadow Over Innsmouth, is a group of occultists who seek to tap into collective zeitgeist of war-torn New England to bring his Outer Gods into this world.
  • Cult of Personality: At the end of his tree, Lovecraft will be immortalised as Providence, the supreme leader of all of New England.
  • Different World, Different Movies: In this timeline, Lovecraft lived longer and has managed to expand his novella The Shadow Over Innsmouth into a full-length novel.
  • Emperor Scientist: A left-wing Lovecraft, influenced by the Technocratic movement, creates an oligarchy of intellectuals, of the intelligent and the educated to help run the government and plan the economy.
  • Heel–Face Turn: After his supposed 'death' and return, Lovecraft entirely abandons his racist, reactionary far-right views and makes a hard shift to the left, to the point that his former supporters accuse him of being a member of the Great Race of Yith in Lovecraft's body. Truth in Television, as Lovecraft IRL made a shift to the left before his death (letters written by him corroborate this, and also include him wishing to put his younger self through a meat grinder).
  • Historical Villain Upgrade: While the real Lovecraft was considered to be explosively racist and an extremist even by the standards of his day, he was never in a position of personally oppressing those he hated and renounced racism later in life. Here, he's given political power at the height of his bigotry and becomes an insane, occultist dictator who strikes about as close to actual Nazism as the setting allows, though he also has the choice to shift toward the left like his real life counterpart did and usher in an egalitarian utopia.
  • Illegal Religion: A committed atheist, Lovecraft will shatter any semblance of religious authority within New England and prevent clergymen from gaining too much power.
  • Internal Reformist: Even if Lovecraft shifted to the left, he makes it clear that he continues to reject Marxism, syndicalism and any idea of violent revolution.
  • Lovecraft Country: If Lovecraft chooses to Embrace the Darkness, New England will become the Black Spot of the Americas, an impenetrable fortress bristling with xenophobia, sealed from outsiders.
  • The Men in Black: The X-Brigade is a covert group founded by Lovecraft to deal with the existence of alien life forms.
  • Not Quite Dead: After his death, rumours about Providence stalking his kingdom from beyond the grave begin to circulate, while a covert team of diggers discover that inside Lovecraft's coffin was a clear body double. If the investigations are pursued to the end, Lovecraft himself returns to once again take charge of the country.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: Right-wing Lovecraft is a massive racist who seeks to turn New England into a white Anglo-Saxon ethnostate and launches harsh crackdowns on the Irish.
  • Purple Prose: The descriptions of Lovecraftian New England's focuses are written in a prosaic way much like Lovecraft's writings.
  • Reclusive Artist: Just like in real life, Lovecraft is a shy and reclusive man who does not often make public appearances, even as leader of New England.invoked
  • Richard Nixon, the Used Car Salesman: In real life, Lovecraft was a writer famous for creating the Cthulhu Mythos. In Kaiserredux, he became a politician, running unsuccessfully for governor of Rhode Island and later a potential leader of New England.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Lovecraft's covert agency is called Delta Green. Following the Vermont Incident, Delta Green remains committed to Lovecraft's ambitions to defend civilisation at all costs, to the point of destroying any and all vestiges of the paranormal or extraterrestrial, while twelve high ranking officials in his government create Majestic-12 to further study and cooperate with aliens, and investigate and recover alien spacecraft, putting them at odds with Delta Green, just like in the source material.
    • The Delta Green (formerly FBI) agent who approaches Lovecraft to discuss the subject of otherworldly beings contacting New England is named Mulder. With him are the so-called X-Files, which apparently prove that the old Federal Government was hiding the existence of extraterrestrial life.
    • Lovecraft's rocketry and nuclear programs are called, respectively, Project Dunwich Horror and Project Shadow over Innsmouth.
    • When he proclaims himself monarch of New England, Lovecraft will become known as The King in Yellow.

  • God-Emperor: While the coalition of radicals behind him may be using him as a political tool, Sun Ra has earned genuine love and adoration he from the masses, evolving into a cult of personality that eclipses the image and influence of the government at times. The Cult of Sun Ra is thus institutionalised as a state philosophy—while religious freedom is still protected, many have already taken to Sun Ra as either their new god or a new embodiment of whatever god they already followed, though this fanaticism is rare.
  • Richard Nixon, the Used Car Salesman: In real life, Sun Ra was a musician and had no political career to speak of. Here, he can become leader of a coalition that seeks to create a new Pan-African identity in New Afrika.

Red Congress of Alaska

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/portrait_alaska_congress.png
Role: Congressnote  (Red Congress - Delegates reject leadership)
Party: Alaska Labour Union
Ideology: Democratic Syndicalismnote

  • Authority in Name Only: Downplayed. If the Red Congress wins the election, the Congress essentially presides over Alaska as a ruling body without any central authority present as the head of state will be run by the Congress indefinitely.
  • Emergency Authority: The Congress is set up in place after Wickersham dies, and is used as an organizing body for delegates across Alaska to decide what Alaska's course will be. Subverted, if the Congress ends with the delegates rejecting any central authority, then the Congress itself will become the leader of Alaska ruling as an organizational body.
  • In Harmony with Nature: The syndicalists of Alaska despise the mainstream industrializaion's processes, and see it as destructive to the natural world and its beauties. The Congress seeks to leave most of Alaska unindutrialized to keep its natural beauty alive and untainted but rampant and unregulated disastrous destrutive efforts engaged through ideology.
  • In Name Only: Inverted. The Red Congress doesn't like directly associating with syndicalism, largely because of the lack of knowledge Alaskans have to understand syndicalism as well as hating the theoretical part contents of it. To combat this, they dissacoiate with syndicalism's theory and enact syndicalism in all but name, caring only to enact its policies to help out the common Alaskan.

  • Allohistorical Allusion: Jurich can denounce the Trotskyists that come to Alaska after the CSA falls for setting up a plot against him and his Communists and can purge them from the congress. This alludes to Stalin in OTL purging Trotsky and his Left Opposition justifying it as a "Trotskyite plot" to oust him.
  • Hero-Worshipper: Downplayed. Jurich is very close with Earl Browder, devoting his ideological beliefs to his. However if Browder comes to Alaska after exile, Jurich actually is willing to outmaneuver his leader and take command from him.
  • The Purge: If the CSA falls, Trotskyites will comes to Alaska seeking refuge. If Jurich decides to not entertain the idea of them subverting his order, he can order to have them be imprisoned and killed.

In-Game Biography: Click to Show

  • Corrupt Corporate Executive: Guggenheim is the leader of the Alaskan Syndicate, a group of businessmen who control large amounts of Alaska's natural resources, oppress his workers, crush small businesses, and pay much less tax money than they ought to.
  • Foreign Ruling Class: As Jewish immigrants flock to Alaska to flee the chaos of the Second American Civil War, Guggenheim (himself a Jew) can declare Alaska as a New Zion, even though Jews still only make up a minority of the Alaskan population.
  • Only in It for the Money: Guggenheim's first and only concern is profit, and all of his actions, from attempting to buy out Alaska and selling it to the Principality of Liechtenstein, are only done to deepen the pockets of the Alaskan Syndicate.

Alisa Rosenbaum

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kx_rand.png
Role: Presidentnote  (Rand invited to government)
Ideology: Anarcho-Capitalismnote
In-Game Biography: Click to Show

  • 0% Approval Rating: Rosenbaum's economic reforms end up bankrupting nearly everyone in Alaska, her views on religion anger the myriad of Abrahamic and Native believers, and her policy of buying or directly seizing reservation lands for the creation of private enterprise infuriates many Native Americans. In the end, people from all walks of life get sick of her so-called 'vision of a brighter tomorrow', before she finally gets ousted by the American Indian Federation.
  • Karmic Death: Rosenbaum being overthrown and scalped by the American Indian Federation after her economic efforts fail to give way to success is quite ironic given her infamously approving views towards colonization because in her view Native Americans weren't truly making use of the land's potential.

Elwood Towner

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/portrait_aif_elwood_towner.png
Role: Chiefnote  (Towner coups Alaska)
Ideology: Townerismnote
In-Game Biography: Click to Show

  • Conlang: Towner constructs the Beringian language from mixing various Amerindian languages ranging from Tlingit to Huron, as a new lingua franca for the disparate peoples of North America.
  • Historical Hero Upgrade: The real Towner was a nasty Nazi collaborator with an anti-semitic streak who collaborated with the decidedly white supremacist Silver Legion in order to attack the FDR government. He cannot do this in a timeline without Nazism; the worst he can do instead is to create an anti-white, albeit ultimately nationalist and anti-colonialist indigenous government.
  • Knight Templar: Towner seeks to ensure the survival of Native Americans, build a strong nation where all of them can call home, free from their white oppressors, and lead them into a bright future. However, he believes that the Red Man can only be free by spilling the blood of the White Man.
  • Mandatory Motherhood: Towner addresses Beringia's underpopulation issue by incentivising large native families with financial compensation and outlawing birth control for all mothers-to-be.
  • Master Race: Downplayed: Towner believes that Native Americans are the greatest race, and it's the Red Man's Burden to civilise white-skinned savages, who can't even stop slaughtering each other over petty differences and childish squabbles. However, he is not racist towards non-whites: native Siberians are seen as honorary Reds, and Japan is considered a natural ally to secure Beringia's independence from the White dogs.
  • Meaningful Rename: Towner renames Alaska to Beringia, a new nation that shall serve as a beacon for all those of Red blood scattered across this shattered world.
  • Monumental Damage: When Beringia conquers New England, Towner encourages his people to vandalise and destroy statues and monuments of European explorers and the Founding Fathers of the United States.
  • Occupiers Out of Our Country: Towner seeks to cast off the yoke of the White Man and create a nation for indigenous Americans, free from white influence and persecution.
  • Persecution Flip: As Beringia takes over Canada and America, the racial hierarchy immediately flips upside-down, as Native Americans become free citizens while whites are sent to reservations. The oppressors of yesterday will become the herded sheep of tomorrow.
  • Please Select New City Name: Canadian and American cities conquered by Beringia whose names are of European origin receive new names from North America's indigenous languages.

Thomas Dixon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kx_thomas_new_moon_dixon.png
Role: Presidentnote  (Dixon coups the government)
Ideology: Left-Townerismnote
In-Game Biography: Click to Show

  • Commie Nazis: Dixon writes his own Native American Totalist Charter, combining leftist economics with Native American ultranationalism and revanchism. He turns Beringia into an egalitarian, totalist utopia to all those of pure Red stock, while White Devils are given a lead bullet.
  • Dragon with an Agenda: Dixon is one of Towner's chief confidants, and agrees on the expulsion and punishment of the White Man and the upliftment of the Red Race, but prefers the red light of Totalism over Towner's nationalist furor.
  • Human Resources: Dixon's government uses the corpses of white people to bolster the fertility of the Alaskan soil. In one event, an indigenous boy is terrified as he discovers a severed, desiccated human arm sticking from the soil of his family's homestead.
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: In order to avenge the atrocities of the past, Dixon has his men pour into cities and remove every last trace of the whites' vile civilisation, so that they'll wish Columbus never stepped foot on the Great Turtle Island so long ago.
  • State Sec: Chief Dixon formalises the position of his prized militia units and paramilitaries as official arms of the state, allowing them to dole out the Red Man's justice as they see fit.

George Pearkes

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/portrait_ala_george_pearkes.png
Role: Field Marshal, Governornote  (Canada puppets Alaska)
Party: Dominion Government
Ideology: Military Juntanote

  • Foreign Ruling Class: As a British government in Canada ruling over Alaskans it seems like oppression would run rampant, but some Alaskans are okay with the government as they see it as protective and secure for the people.
  • Red Baron: His title is 'Lord' due to him holding a great amount of authority as a General and military commander.
  • The Generalissimo: Pearkes runs Alaska under a junta while ensuring some democratic measures are given to the people.

Role: Field Marshal, Governornote  (Japan puppets Alaska)

  • Culture Justifies Anything: When the Japanese take over Alaska, they will begin Japanizing the region. They'll put up Japanese newspapers, Alaskans will be taught Japanese, Japanese will be over street signs, and Japanese families will emigrate to Alaska. It will come to a point that it will look indishinguishable from the streets of Tokyo.
  • Foreign Ruling Class: Yamasaki essentially rules as Governor of Alaska while being the head of the Japanese Navy.
  • The Generalissimo: Yamasaki runs Alaska as a militaristic dictatorship with him at command.

Battle) are all candidates for chief of the NYPD, mayor of New York City and potentially president of the United States, the first individual in these groups to hold these offices.
  • Dark Horse Victory: It’s very possible, though outrageously difficult, for one to win the civil war as this tiny faction. The mod anticipates this possibility, allowing you to turn the whole of America into Gangsterland or a very literal Police State, among other options, once the dust settles.
  • Land of One City: New York has the choice to establish itself as a free, independent city-state seperate from the rest of America.
  • Suddenly Significant City: If Upstate New York falls under control of the government in New York City, it also replaces Albany as the new state capital.

  • Historical In-Joke: In New York's mayoral election, Trump titles his campaign 'Make New York Great Again', and if he runs for the United Duchies of America's second monarch election, the option to elect Trump says 'Trump shall make America great again'. Both are obvious reference to the campaign slogan used by his son Donald's 2016 Presidential campaign. As mayor of New York City, he can also build a great wall along the borders of the city, separating the conflict between the Federalists and the Syndicalists from the glittering lights and stable streets of New York.
  • Privately Owned Society: In his plan to transform NYC into an inviting hotspot for global trade, Trump slashes taxes for most industries and citizens, and privatises all major economic sectors.
  • War for Fun and Profit: Trump sees the second American Civil War as a new opportunity for New York City to profit while others squander and bicker like fools.
