Ruling Party: Old Democratic Partynote
The mainstream of the ODP all agree to support the interests of the White man while opposing Catholics, Jews, and Leftists. The supporters of the ODP come from both the Republican and the Democratic Party though, and within the party there are many disparate factions. Alfalfa Bill Murray is the leader of the party, for now, and he has unified most of them. However, Charles Lindbergh and the Fordists diverge from Murray in their greater support for corporatism, and there are some who wish to see George Patton lead the party as well. Murray will only be able to lead the party for so long, and when he is gone, the question of who will succeed him will be important indeed.
Ideology: Jacksonianismnote Paternal Autocracy
Located in the Deep South of the former United States of America, the Constitutional American Republic is one of the three factions that broke off of from the United States during the Second American Civil War. As their region may already hint at, their primary ideological difference from other factions in the aforementioned second Civil War, is the concern over the preservation of the White Race in America, with the Old Democratic Party under former Oklahoma Governor William H. Murray taking-charge as the nation's President.
However, with ever-present arising factionalism within the Republic continues to add tension to the internal political scene of the nation, the future of the Constitutional American Republic will lay uncertain. Many seek greater influence in the newly-born republic, such as the ever-present Ku Klux Klan, and even the radical technocrats of large industries wish to grasp power.
- Deep South: The CAR is located in the Deep South subregion of the United States (with the exception of the Longist stronghold of Louisiana), and holds white supremacist views typical for Southern politicians during the 30s. That being said, unlike the old Confederacy, the CAR has no desire to secede, but instead seeks to build an America that respects the Southern way of life.
- Downer Ending: Majority of the unifiers are reactionary and white supremacist dictators with different degrees of repression, racism, and possibly commit genocide. Undoubtedly they have some of the worst endings with all of the Klan being Fascist in all but name, the Fordists create a ruthless corporate slave empire, Murray's ODP is a white supremacist dictatorship, and the militarists under Patton giving authority to Moseley can effectively keep a militaristic dictatorship intact with a cult of personality that's openly racist.
- Evil Reactionary: The Constitutional American Republic is named as such because they see themselves as closest in spirit to the original American constitution, which was to advance and protect Real Americans' interests. The constitution is treated very seriously as the law of the land and should override more democratic concerns, while the current political process is seen as selling out the interests of white Americans in favor of minorities, industry, bankers, etc.
- The Klan: Alongside the Southern Old Democrats, the Ku Klux Klan is one of the major power blocs within the CAR.
- Oppressive States of America: In contrast to the other factions, which might or might not end up as this after winning the Civil War depending on which path they take, the vast majority of times the CAR will end up as a white supremacist dictatorship.
- Politically Incorrect Villain: The CAR's leadership is made up of Dixiecrats and the Ku Klux Klan, fanatical white supremacists to the man, and in many cases also anti-Semites.
- Renegade Splinter Faction: The Old Democratic Party is made up of Dixiecrats who espouse older Democratic Party values, and split off because they thought the Democrats did too little to oppose the Republicans when they eased the suppression of leftists.
- Right-Wing Militia Fanatic: Many members of the CAR resemble a proto-version of these, essentially appealing to the "Original American Constitution" and "Traditional Southern Values" that they argue the federal government is trespassing with their policies and laws in order to justify their segregationist and reactionary views.

In-Game Biography: Click to Show
William Henry Davis Murray, better known as "Alfalfa Bill" has quite the life under his belt. Born on a farm in Texas, little would expect that Murray would end up where he is today, his life being unremarkable for the first years of his life. His first introduction into politics was as a campaigner and in a failed run for Senate. However, Murray took to politics, being a skilled orator and lawyer. Through alliances, he rose through the political ranks until he was elected Governor of Oklahoma. This sent him to the forefront of national politics and pitted him against Garner and the "Moderate" Democrats. Eventually, Murray split from the traditional Democrats and founded the "Old Democrat Party", which gained support from the Far-Right all across America. Now, President Murray must fight for his allies, for America, and for the White Race.
- Equal-Opportunity Evil: Despite being a white supremacist, Murray is willing to ally with Native American tribes who got fed up with the federal government (especially those punished for siding with the old Confederacy) and desire higher autonomy.
- Even Evil Has Standards: Murray forces the Klan to become a regulated entity with guidelines to follow, since many of their leaders desire more autonomy than is healthy for the state and their vigilante nature betrays a disregard for the Old Democrats' law.
- President Evil: Murray is the Old Democratic Party's candidate for the 1936 Presidential election. If he wins, he'll enact an executive order to pass the Smith Act (which ends non-white and non-Protestant immigration to the United States and forces segregation across the entire USA, including banning whites from marrying Jews and those with more than 25% black blood), essentially turning the US into a white supremacist dictatorship before Douglas MacArthur inevitably deposes him and kickstarts the Civil War.
- Villainous Legacy: Murray considers the ODP to be the true heirs of President Andrew Jackson's Democratic Party.

Eugene Talmadge was born on Sep 23th 1884 in Forsyth, Georgia. Going to the University of Georgia’s law school and being a part of groups such as the Sigma Nu fraternity, Talmadge began his pursuit for a political career. Running multiple times for Georgia's state legislature and losing, Talmadge became a democratic commissioner for the state’s agriculture. Despite these seeming failures, Talmadge made full use of spreading his rhetoric and influence among Georgia’s rural population. Utilizing his popularity, he eventually won the candidacy for Georgia’s governorship. Only joining the Old Democratic Party in ‘36, he made sure to sweep Georgia up in a tide of rhetoric once the civil war began, starting a wave of southern pride not seen since the civil war. While within the politics of the Old Democrats, Talmadge was not trusted with his late entrance to the party, and with the establishment seeing him as an extremist with his support for even further segregation and racial laws. Despite this seeming uphill battle, Talmadge seemed to convince Murray with his rhetoric as Murray assigned him as his successor. Now in charge of the nation, Talmadge has full reins to change the country as he sees fit.
- Dark Horse Victory: Talmadge is seen as a distrustful politician within the ODP because of his late entry in the party and his radical support for racist laws and extreme segregation. With this against him, he doesn't seem like a proper successor to Murray but can still have enough populist influence to take over the nation.
Walter F. Bossert
Role: Presidentnote Head of State (Talmadge ousted by Bossert)
Party: Old Democratic Partynote
The mainstream of the ODP all agree to support the interests of the White man while opposing Catholics, Jews, and Leftists. Ideology: Jacksonianismnote Paternal Autocracy
- Corrupt Bureaucrat: Bossert hates Talmadge because of his inability to takes control within the party, and as his rival seeks to undermine his authority by using his position to start backroom deals with other members of the ODP and to coordinate with the NDWL to get more members with Talmadge's incompetence.
John E. Rankin

John E Rankin was born on March 29th, 1882 in Itawamba county, Mississippi. Going to Law school in Mississippi, Rankin eventually got elected to congress as a Democrat from it’s first district. Serving multiple terms in congress, it wasn’t until the eventual instability of the Great Depression that Rankin, Murray and other southern Democrats formed the Old Democratic Party. Serving as a part of the establishing ODP members, Rankin eventually got selected as Murray’s Vice president in the 1936 elections. Continuing to be Murray’s right hand man, he served faithfully, as his uncharismatic yet loyal nature proved him to be a good workhouse in the politics of the Constitutional American Republic. Now with Murray out of the picture, Rankin is the head of the government as his successor. How he will run the nation is yet to be seen, as so far it seems he will stick to the establishment and Murray’s previous ideals.
- The Dragon: Rankin is Murray's right hand man, ever since he was selected as his Vice President in the 1936 election he was by his side during the tenuous collapse of America, and a great workhorse for organizing the political landscape of the CAR.
Richard Russell Jr.
Role: Presidentnote Head of State (Russell Jr. takes power from Murray)
Party: Democratic Party (Conservatives)note
The Democratic Party has served us well in its long existence, but today it has morphed into an apparatus that no longer can support the interests of the White man. It is a husk of its old self, and most Democrats have now joined the ODP. However, the talented politician Richard Russell has plans for the party, and hopes to reshape it in his image. Perhaps more ambitiously, he wishes to win back the voters the old party of Andrew Jackson has lost as of late. To do so, he will need to face the daunting task of making the ODP irrelevant, and in the process, he will likely meet an old foe. His prospects may be bleak, but his relationship with William Murray and his adherence to most ODP politicians makes him a more than acceptable choice for us.
Ideology: Dixiecratnote Social Conservatism
In-Game Biography: Click to Show
Born in Winder, Georgia on November 2nd, 1897 to a wealthy family, Richard Russell Jr. is fairly young. Russell began his career as a Democrat, and has stayed true to that party even through the rise of the Old Democratic Party under Alfalfa Bill Murray. However, his meteoric rise in Georgia politics has meant that he is at the center of the new Constitutional American Republic. Beginning as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives and then making his way to the position of governor, he became the most powerful man in the state. However, he only served as governor for two years, vacating his post to run for the U.S. Senate instead. He was succeeded as governor by Eugene Talmadge, a fiery orator whose Old Democratic leanings have put him at odds with Russell. Indeed, the two man have developed a bitter rivalry over the past few years, the culmination of which occurred in the 1936 election, in which Talmadge challenged Russell for his senate seat. Talmadge, articulating a powerful racial message, lost to the more economically focused Russell, but their rivalry is stronger than ever. Regardless, because the capital of the Constitutional American Republic is in Atlanta, Richard Russell has had considerable influence over the Constitutional American Republic, despite his status as a Democrat. His beliefs are more in line with Murray than the beliefs of Talmadge or many other Old Democrats, and the two have recently developed a sort of friendship. Russell wholeheartedly agrees with Murray's slogan of fighting "Corporations, Communism, and Miscegenation", despite his aristocratic background. In fact, Russell has always been a populist in both rhetoric and policy, always legislating for the sake of his people, not the wealthy. Now that he leads the nation, he must outthink the enemies who surround him at every turn while also finding a way to save his country. Clever politician and genuine populist that he is, he is perhaps the one man who can achieve these goals.
- A Lighter Shade of Black: Russell is still a white supremacist, but prefers to avoid the race question and keep the status quo, instead of further extending Jim Crow laws like his rivals in the CAR do.
- Let No Crisis Go to Waste: When seeing Murray's ailing health, Russell Jr. seeks to use the opportunity to oust Murray and his ODP, and have himself be in charge of a democratic albeit racist America.

Charles Lindbergh
General Lindbergh portrait Role: General, Presidentnote Head of State (Murray steps down), (Fordist coup)
Party: Old Democratic Party (National Corporatists)note
The traditionalist and agrarian mainstream of the ODP, dominated by Southern populists such as William H. Murray and Eugene Talmadge, has given way under the pressure of powerful Northern nationalists, with their money and influence turning the tide.
This newly dominant wing of the ODP, centered around the charisma and popularity of Charles Lindbergh and economics of Henry Ford, which has also absorbed the Republican Party's far-right fringe under Clare Hoffman, takes inspiration from the corporatist policies adopted by many rightist states around the world.
Promoting a vision of American nationalism that is no less racist and anti-Semitic than that of Murray's ODP, but is also much less Southern-centred and agrarian, the Fordists push for greater industrialization and a vision of the state that their opponents, including many in the KKK, see as emblematic of the Yankee elitism that the CAR rose up to fight.

Charles Lindbergh, or Lindy, was once the most famous pilot in America. Lindbergh's fame grew well into the 1920s in service of the US Air Mail Service. This couple with a knack for improving planes that eventually grew into a business made Lindbergh even more famous. Lindbergh's association with the AFP starting in 1932, and escalated until he made contact with the War Power Committee. Eventually picked out of the Committee to be their next leader, Lindbergh intends to continue Murray's racialist positions and to encourage industrial innovations through example.
- The Coup: If Richard Russell Jr. fails to control the Fordists, Lindbergh will march on the capitol with the full support of the Fordist faction and even some ODP members, swiftly snatching power from Russell.
- Democracy Is Bad: Lindbergh will build a "Republic without Democracy" in the United States, where instead being ruled by the people an candidates votes into power, it will instead be ruled by corporations and watchmen of the state as it was before the constitution was "tainted" by anti-American dissidents.
- The Face: Lindbergh serves Henry Ford as a popular 'face' of the Republic. If he cements enough control over America, he might step down so that Ford himself can rule openly.
- The Purge: The Lindbergh regime arrests all known enemies of the War Powers Committee, mostly welfare Longists, anti-progress religious fundamentalists, and mutualists.
- Secret Police: The CAR under Lindbergh becomes a police state where communications between syndicalist members of non-political groups is monitored by COINTELPRO, Pinkerton detectives are loaned to companies deemed allies of the state to investigate enemies, and 'immorality' and 'subversion' are reported to the Citizen Monitors of the Republic, a watchdog society consisting of former KKK members.
- State Sec: The Order of 76 is a pro-nationalist paramilitary combating syndicalists and the Old Democrats who admire a purer agrarianism over the Fordist program.

Henry Ford was born July 30, 1863, on a farm in Greenfield Township, Michigan. An entrepreneur and a businessman, his Ford Motor Company was highly successful, bringing the automobile into most people's lives for the first time. By 1936, Ford had built such a power base that the syndicalist uprising failed to kill him or significantly damage his business, and much of Ford's equipment would help General MacArthur. After the American Collapse, Ford and his company seized power over the Great Lakes, where his powerbase was concentrated. Now, Henry Ford is the absolute ruler of a great portion of America, and his company has complete ownership of the old Syndicalist heartland.
- Allohistorical Allusion: When Ford dies he assumedly has a heart attack while smoking a cigarette and drinking brandy. The guards outside his room didn't know about this because they were both too scared to go into his room and feared about being punished. This alludes to Stalin's death OTL, where he died from a stroke due to heavy smoking and his guards were too scared to enter his room to assist out of fear.
- Lord Country: Upon taking power, he can rename the Constitutional American Republic to just 'Fordlandia'.
- The Man Behind the Man: To Charles Lindbergh, whom he uses as a popular 'face' to endear the public to corporatocracy and his brand of right-wing technocracy.
- Manipulative Bastard: He is able leverage his industrial acumen, and Lindbergh's popularity, to oust Murray from the CAR and install Linbergh as a loyal lackey, and can even take the reins himself.
- Narcissist: Ford readily describes himself as a genius, and he sees himself as fit to be in control of a continental technocracy, whereby only the most qualified and intelligent may rule. He can also rename the entire USA after himself.

Edward H. Crump
Role: Presidentnote Head of State (Crump takes over Democratic Party)
Party: Tennessee Democratic Committee
Ideology: Social Machinenote Authoritarian Democracy
In-Game Biography: Click to Show
Rising from relative obscurity to now dominating the politics of this new America, Edward Hull Crump is one of the more peculiar men in the hierarchy of this fine nation. Born in Mississippi in 1874, Crump moved to Memphis, Tennessee to find work during the great Panic of 1893. Falling in with the Walter Goodman Cotton Company, Crump began his path towards being a successful broker and trader at just 19 years old, allowing him to court one of the city’s greatest socialites, only raising his position in his new native home. Using his new place in society and successes in finance to kickstart his own political career, Crump began as a delegate in the Tennessee Democratic State Convention in 1902 before rising through the municipal hierarchy of Memphis. With a mass of support and political connections forming beneath him, and seeking to distance himself from the established capital elite, Crump began forming his own political machine which would eventually grow and carry him to the Mayor’s office. From Mayor of Memphis to State Representative, Crump continued to climb high in state politics, utilizing a mixture of corruption, populism, and a friendly relationship with Black voters to carry him to ever-higher successes. Ruling Memphis as his own personal fiefdom, Boss Crump continued to pull at the strings of Tennessee state politics until the chaos that led to this new Civil War. Seizing newfound opportunities to take total control of this new America, Crump promised to bring back voting rights for the recently disenfranchised Black population of the South in order to secure his popularity as well as his attempt to seize power from former President Russell. Now in charge of something far larger than his previous domain, this big fish has been tossed into a far larger pond, and it is now up to Crump to utilize his same old tricks to maintain his grip on power.
- Corrupt Politician: Crump leads his Memphis-based Democrat political machine with a corruption-laden velvet fist. Corruption rules over open authoritarianism; each and every representative, career politician, bureaucrat, general and civil servant in America is bent to the machine's will through endless bribery and graft.
- Pay Evil unto Evil: In response to the protests, riots and lynchings committed by right-wing conservatives and the KKK after Blacks are given the right to vote, Crump arrests and imprisons all those responsible for these actions, with lynchers even executed in rare circumstances of particular barbarity. He also begins a nation-wide campaign to crack-down on the KKK, for Crump sees them as nothing more than tantrum-throwing cockroaches that need to be exterminated for the greater good of the Social Machine and his ambitions.

The Klan
William Joseph Simmons
Role: Imperial Emperornote Head of State (Simmons elected leader of NDWL)
Party: Old Democratic Party (National Democratic White League)note
The NDWL represents the various factions of the Ku Klux Klan as well as the numerous White Leagues of our nation. Together, these two groups make up the backbone of the NDWL. However, this does not mean they all agree on the same message. William Joseph Simmons is generally agreed upon as their leader for now, but there are already many who are jockeying to succeed him. Hiram Wesley Evans, D.C. Stephenson, and Herbert W. Armstrong are the main contenders. Evans supports the newer branch of the Klan, while Stephenson represents the older branch. Meanwhile, Armstrong preaches unity between the two Klan factions, arguing that a different path can be followed.

Once, the Ku Klux Klan was as good as dead. Nothing but a fraternal organization from long ago. However, things change. The film "The Birth of a Nation" injected new lifeblood into the KKK, painting them as a heroic force protecting the white race. The KKK was to be reborn, and Simmons was to head this revived Klan. As America deteriorated, the Klan sided with Murray and the Constitutional American Republic and grew as a significant internal faction. Now, with Murray gone the Klan and the National Democratic White League has taken power, and Simmons will shape America in his radical vision.
- Decapitated Army: Simmons has long been the only thing that keeps the various factions within the National Democratic White League unified; his death immediately begins a power struggle between the Old Klan, the Young Klan, and the Holy Church of Zion.

Old Klan
D. C. Stephenson
Role: Imperial Emperornote Head of State (Evans killed)
Party: National Democratic White League (Old Klan Faction)note
Following the death of William Joseph Simmons, the Old Klan, under the leadership of D.C. Stephenson, has emerged triumphant after an internal power struggle in the KKK that culminated in the deaths of Stephenson's rivals.
As opposed to the New Klan, which advocated a conciliatory attitude to some groups formerly attacked by the NDWL and sought to build a more orderly state, Stephenson's government is thoroughly uninterested in compromise, and sees the sole duty of the state as being the promotion of the interests of the White Race, a cause for which anything can be sacrificed.
The extreme violence of Stephenson's allies in the Black Legion, alongside the general contempt for legalism within his government, makes it likely that under "The Chief", America's ideals of the Rule of Law may be changed forever.

Nobody in their right mind would predict that David Curtiss Stephenson would ever lead America. His attempts with politics all failing miserably. But even though politics failed for him, Stephenson would still achieve power through the revived Ku Klux Klan, joining and rapidly rising through the ranks of the Indiana Klan. Eventually he would become Grand Dragon of Indiana, and command terrifying amounts of power in the Midwestern United States. As the Klan grew in power nationwide, so did the list of Stephenson's enemies. Stephenson was the victim of numerous assassination attempts. These assassination attempts, along with Wilson's softer hand on the Klan lead to Stephenson avoiding meaningful consequences for his actions. As America collapsed, the Klan and the NDWL sided with the CAR, and with the death of William J. Simmons, Stephenson is the man now poised to lead America into the future.
- Cult of Personality: The Old Klan builds a Cult of the Chief, building monuments to his bravery in the war and ostracising those who do not have Stephenson's portrait in their home.
- Dirty Old Man: Stephenson is an old serial rapist who kidnapped, raped and tortured a young state employee, eventually murdering her and never getting caught for it.
- Eviler than Thou: One of Stephenson's first actions after taking power is to purge the remnants of the Young Klan and wipe it from history itself, as it would look weak to allow his former enemies to walk away.
- He-Man Woman Hater: The Old Klan believes that it is the way of women to lead men down a treacherous road, and will 'defend white womanhood even from itself' by banning them from voting.
- Illegal Religion: Stephenson gives Roman Catholics a choice between conversion, cutting off all contact from the Papacy and making the appropriate tribute, or face the full force of the New Order.

Ideology: Klan Nationalismnote National Populism
- Blackmail: In an attempt to make a power grab, Effinger tries to blackmail Stephenson to be given control of the government with the Black Legion at his side.
- Downer Ending: Effinger represents the worst of the worst of not only the Old Klan, but the Klan as a whole, pushing the sadistic, rabidly violent Black Legion into the everyday running of the nation, unrestrained by any other force, being worse than even the likes of Stephenson.
- Eviler than Thou: The Black Legion are perhaps the most despicable members of the Klan in America. Being notoriously violent, bloodthirsty, and brutal with their killings under the idea of vigilantism. They are nothing more than maniacal Klan bandits more unhinged under the illusion of killing in the name of vigilante justice.
- Forgiven, but Not Forgotten: Downplayed, Effinger knows of Stephenson's serial rapist and serial killer tendencies, but doesn't care about them. He is only willing to showcase it to the rest of the Klan as blackmail if the Black Legion are not allowed control.
Daisy Douglas Barr
Role: Imperial Empressnote Head of State (Stephenson kills Effinger, Barr ousts Stephenson)
Party: National Democratic White League (Women of the Ku Klux Klan)note
With the downfall of D.C. Stephenson following the revelations of his past crimes against Madge Oberholtzer and the cowardly assassination of Virgil Effinger the Old Klan was overtaken by Daisy Douglas Barr. The Imperial Empress, once tasked by Stephenson to lead the women's section of the Indiana Klan, has rallied various organizations coalescing inside the Women of the Ku Klux Klan, such as Queens of the Golden Mask or Denver Women's Club. Although WKKK due to their very nature is more focused on female issues, such as suffrage, temperance, morality or education, it nonetheless remains the vanguard of White Supremacy against threats besieging America.
Ideology: Klan Nationalismnote National Populism
- Breaking the Glass Ceiling: Barr can become the first female President of America.
- Red Baron: Known as the 'Imperial Empress' when she was part of the Indiana Klan, and when she takes power from Stephenson.
- The Suffragette: An odd example. Barr advocates for women's rights, temperance, Christian morality, and education, while still maintaining the white supremacist cause of the Klan.

Hiram Wesley Evans is a man who cares little for anything but power. The first parts of his life were relatively unremarkable, growing up as a normal child in Alabama and eventually moving to Texas where he became a dentist. However, Evans had massive ambitions and speaking skills to match, and with his admission into the Ku Klux Klan his path to power was becoming apparent. Even though he was not opposed to lynchings and even took part in them, he became vehemently opposed to them as he feared that they would give the Klan a bad image. Through the years, Evans grew to be in the highest echelons of Klan leadership, eventually becoming poised to take charge, he promised reforms without selling out to Liberals or Socialists. Though, many comment that he cares little for ideology, only money and power.
- Corrupt Politician: Evans couldn't care about the Klan's goals and ideology, he only cares about consolidating more power and money as leader of the NDWL. This is eventually what can get him ousted.
- Internal Reformist: Evans supports moderating the Klan due to their extreme violence giving the Klan a bad name.
- Pragmatic Villainy: Evans forces the Black Legion to disband in favor of more mainstream Klan organizations; while many admire the Black Legion for their extreme white supremacism, they are simply uncontrollable alongside having already attempted to subjugate the Young Klan.
- Propaganda Machine: Evans turns Hollywood into a place of white nationalist media through a federally funded broadcasting corporation that will oversee the development of films under government guidelines and with Klan inspectors present.

Ideology: Klan Nationalismnote National Populism
In-Game Biography: Click to Show
George Lincoln Rockwell, the young but idealistic leader of the Young Klan, has successfully wrestled control of the country from Herbert W. Armstrong. Rockwell, unable to tolerate Armstrong's policies, has his own plans for the country at large. He hopes to reorganize society under what he believes to be the laws of nature, or the tribe. Further, he believes himself to be the true embodiment of the values of the Founding Fathers, and he fully intends to carry out their will in establishing an authoritarian state to maintain order and cleanse the country of its old corruption. An avid nationalist, Rockwell intends to separate minority groups who do not fit within the colonial definition of an American. Through these means, America will be a country for its own citizens once more, and the invasion of outside groups will be turned back. To accomplish these goals, Rockwell intends to use a robust media and propaganda apparatus that takes advantage of his own charisma as well as the passion of his followers to demonstrate the necessity of their actions. It will not be an easy road to free America from its shackles, but Rockwell believes he has just what he needs to rouse the American people from their slumber and call them to final action against those who would see them destroyed.
- The Coup: If Herbert W. Armstrong's control over America falters, Rockwell and Yockey will launch a coup against him and put the nation under control of the Young Klan again.
- Stay in the Kitchen: Rockwell believes that women must naturally stay out of the affairs of males, and will honour them for their ancient roles as mothers, as wives, and most importantly, as the 'authors of good people'.

Alternate Yockey Portrait Role: Imperial Emperornote Head of State (Armstrong dies, Young Klan coup - Yockey leads)

In-Game Biography: Click to Show
Francis Parker Yockey, an up-and-coming member of the Young Klan, has led a coup against Herbert W. Armstrong. Yockey, though young, has taken inspiration from various spiritual and political figures in Europe who call for the erasure of the Enlightenment and Liberal values that characterized the previous century. Instead, Yockey hopes to establish a new age of authoritarian rule in America, which he views as the bastion of old values. To help him achieve this goal, he hopes to eliminate the power of the worst "Culture Distorting" and "Cultural Parasite" groups, namely racial and religious minorities in the country. Concurrent with this goal is the wider aim of unifying the Western world into an Imperium of Europe, which Yockey believes is the only way to save his people from certain destruction. To save the West, Yockey will become the ultimate authority over a unified European and American civilization, and through the success of this task, we will finally have peace. Though this will be no easy task, Yockey's pragmatism and willingness to work with unlikely allies makes what seems to be an impossible goal into an ambitious but desperate attempt to save the world.
- The Coup: If Herbert W. Armstrong's control over America falters, Rockwell and Yockey will launch a coup against him and put the nation under control of the Young Klan again.
- Cultural Cringe: A more villainous version, as it's the USA principles of freedom and democracy that led Yockey to dismissing it as a "destructive and decadent nation", and he hopes to exchange it with a newly Pan-European identity.
- Foreign Culture Fetish: Yockey believes that America is basically everything wrong with the West, and seeks to bring forth a Europe-inspired cultural revolution.
- Mood Whiplash: A Yockey playthrough into the People's Imperium involves months if not years of Ku Klux Klan devastation of America and many millions of deaths in wars to conquer Europe. At the end of all this, Yockey is given the decision to suddenly become a leftist.
- United Europe: Yockey dreams of conquering Europe and uniting the Western world under the Imperium of Europe to stand a chance against the hordes of barbarians that threaten Western civilisation.
- Young and in Charge: Having been born in 1917, Yockey is likely to be only in his early 20s when he wrestles control of the CAR from Armstrong; while at game start he has very little influence due to his age, Armstrong's purge of all actual elder ODP politicians, generals and Klan dragons propels him to prominence within the Klan's traditional elements.

Herbert W. Armstrong, the Apostle of Christ. The black sheep of the NDWL leadership, little would have predicted that he would have been the one to succeed Simmons as leader of America; yet here he is. His early life was influenced by the church, his lengthy study of the Bible beginning after a challenge from his wife to find proof that Sunday was the Sabbath. As his fanaticism grew, God himself began to influence him, opening his mind to new truths not accepted by the masses. Soon enough he began his own church and began broadcasting his sermons on the radio, something that garnered him a large following. As America collapsed, Armstrong denounced Reed and Long as the Beast and False Prophet and declared his allegiance to the Constitutional American Republic. And with a power struggle that ensued after the death of the American Emperor, Armstrong took the reigns of America. Under his watch, America will truly be God's land.
- Dark Horse Victory: Armstrong was considered to be the black sheep of the NDWL due to having unorthodox views in the Klan, but can still win as Simmons' successor and introduce his bizarre political ideology to America.
- Dry Crusader: Armstrong bans alcohol, viewing it as the demon drink produced by moral traitors.
- Evil Is Not Pacifist: A extremely rare aversion, specially for a war game like Hearts of Iron. At the end of his focus tree, it's possible for Armstrong to abolish the use of violence, granting the U.S defensive bonuses and ending with the CAR condemning the rest of the world for it's perceived unholiness, while refusing to use violence against it.
- Historical Villain Upgrade: OTL Armstrong was just the leader of a fringe televangelical group in America, but in Kaiserredux he becomes the brutal dictator of a white nationalist theocracy, with the potential to cause irreparable damage to America and beyond.
- People's Republic of Tyranny: Armstrong calls his brutal, white supremacist Christian theocracy the 'Commonwealth of America'.
- Prisoner's Work: Armstrong signs the Penal Act, which lengthens the sentence time for moral crimes and increases indentured labor in industry, while also reviving various Black Codes.
- The Fundamentalist: Armstrong draws significantly on The Bible and Christianity to justify the extreme positions he advocates.
- The Plague: Armstrong condemns medical science as unholy, resulting in a great smallpox outbreak across the entire nation.
- The Purge: Armstrong conducts a mass purge of liberals, arresting them for their connections to anti-government extremists, and killing those who try to resist.
- The Theocracy: Armstrong turns the CAR into the Kingdom of God on Earth, and endorses the Holy Church of Zion as the state religion. The Ten Commandments become law and judges are required to pass a religious exam.

George S. Patton
Role: Field Marshal, Presidentnote Head of State (Patton coups Stephenson)
Party: Old Democratic Party (Patton)note
George S. Patton has taken leadership over the ODP and plans to lead it in a different fashion to his predecessor, "Alfalfa" Bill Murray. Patton, yearning for the America of old, styles himself as the president, and hopes to ease some of the restrictions Murray placed on the country, though the specifics of these are as of yet unknown. However, it is true that Patton has a program to instill discipline into the country to help it rebuild and prosper once more. With Patton in charge, there will be stability at last.

George Smith Patton, popularly called "Old Blood and Guts", was once a rising star in the U.S. Army, but his fortunes changed rather quickly. Now, Patton heads the army of the Constitutional American Republic, fighting to save the country from syndicalists, populists, and any other traitors who decide to show their ugly faces. Officially a member of the ODP, Patton has never liked politics much, but most of "Alfalfa" Bill Murray's views were in line with his own, and the two developed a friendship. From the beginning, Murray was quick to recognize Patton's talent, and he made him one of his top advisors. Now that Patton leads the party, he plans to leave most of the day-to-day administration work to his vice president and cabinet, opting instead to try and place the country on the road to recovery through guts, discipline, and hard work. This road is sure to be a hard one, as Patton believes this battle, like any other, will be lost as soon as the initiative is gone. As such, the American people will be pushed hard, but Patton aims to set an example by working hard himself, barnstorming the country with inspirational speeches designed to restore morale. Although he is an outspoken racist and a conservative through and through, Patton is different from his fellow politicians in that his focus is on America, not the South, and he has no love for the proposals of the Ku Klux Klan or the Fordists. He is instead expected to take a more moderate approach to politics, more in line with Murray. His foremost concern is to keep the old America alive, an America there was no such thing as a coward, and he plans to pursue this goal with much enthusiasm.
- Allohistorical Allusion: Patton slapping George Lincoln Rockwell is a reference to a real-life incident of Patton slapping soldiers under his command in World War II.
- Due to the Dead: Patton sees that his enemies fought as heroically as the CAR's soldiers did, and regardless of allegiance, all Americans who died in the Second Civil War should be honored with memorials.
- Military Coup: If William J. Simmons dies before finishing his political tree, the military will step in, launch a bloodless coup, and put Patton in charge of the CAR.
- Reluctant Ruler: President Patton dislikes the politics of his office, and prefers to be with people, specifically his soldiers. If he takes power, he'll leave many of the day-to-day decision making to his vice president and cabinet, while he travels across the country giving speeches to veterans from all sides of the Civil War.
- Self-Applied Nickname: Patton, a student of history, scoffs at MacArthur's 'American Caesar' nickname, and pokes fun at him by coming up with his own nicknames: the American Hannibal, the American Scipio, the American Napoleon, and even the American Asskicker.
George Van Hon Moseley
Washington Moseley Portrait Role: Field Marshal, Presidentnote Head of State (Patton retires)

George Van Horn Moseley graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1899 as a cavalry second lieutenant. He would serve in the Spanish American War commanding the 9th Cavalry Regiment where he even managed to achieve a major breakthrough against Ludovico Arejola, prompting a promotion to first lieutenant and a transfer to the 1st Cavalry Regiment. There he'd serve as Aide-de-Camp for Brigadier General J.M. Bell and J.M. Lee for the remainder of the campaign, fulfilling several staff roles in the rear. He'd be transferred back to the US in 1904, and would serve as a staff member of the Texas Headquarters, until being promoted to Captain in 1906. He'd continue to fill a variety of staff roles while at the same time attending the Army Staff College and the Army War College, of which he graduated in 1909 and 1911 respectively. He took part in Pershing's punitive expedition, providing logistical support to Pershing, and earning him the promotion to major. After commanding the Second Field Artillery Brigade, he was detailed as assistant to General Dawes in organizing the Bureau of the Budget in 1921, after which he was promoted to Brigadier General for his remarkable performance. He'd become Executive Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of War and was put in charge of the Industrial Preparedness sector, which got him his promotion to Major General. In 1934 he had a major fall out with General MacArthur, and with the country's collapse into civil war, Moseley's first course of action was to leave the Federal Army and join the Constitutional Army in the south, where his experience and the lack of capable staff granted him an immediate promotion to General of the Army by William H. Murray.
Notes: Has displayed strong anti-immigrant and anti-Semitic views both publicly and privately.
Along with Charles Lindbergh, Moseley has been seen in frequent meetings with important businessmen from outside the military sphere.
- Awesome Anachronistic Apparel: Moseley at the end of his focus tree, declares himself to be the new Washington as both a President and a military strongman and "founder" of his new republic. He decides to dress like Washington with the old late 1700s Revolutionary War outfit.
- Bread and Circuses: Moseley introduces amenities, reforms and American entertainment to Nicaragua so the people would be happy and healthy with colonial rule.
- Cult of Personality: After consolidating power given to him from Patton, Moseley will essentially establish a cult of personality around himself as the new Washington being a military strongman and the savior of the republic.
- Red Scare: Moseley conducts a campaign of propaganda to uproot the Red Menace, ensuring that syndicalism cannot take root in Nicaragua and spread to America.

James Strom Thurmond was born on Dec 05, 1902 in Edgefield,South Carolina. Thurmond has served a variety of jobs, From farmer to teacher and coach, before becoming a Judge for his hometown. Forming populist rhetoric at seeing the poor conditions these career’s were going through during the depression, Thurmond eventually rose to the South Carolina Senate. Serving as a staunch segregationist yet still firm populist, Thurmond was among the Old Democrats throughout his young politician years. Throughout the Civil War Thurmond remained with the ODP, constantly gaining support for the war effort with his charismatic fervor and gaining the eye of Murray for his support of the cause. Although they were somewhat split ideologically with Strom’s support for welfare, Murray propelled him forth in a surprise move when he designated him his successor. Now in charge of the Nation, Strom Thurmond must fight for his promises of welfare for the common man in an establishment that is still uncertain of the Young populist leader.
- Historical In-Joke: In an event, young legislator Rush Limbaugh protests against Thurmond by carrying out a filibuster lasting 24 hours and 18 minutes, mirroring the real Thurmond's filibuster intended to block the Civil Rights Act of 1957.
Harry F. Byrd
Role: Presidentnote Head of State (Dixie Democratic Election - Byrd elected)
Party: Democratic Partynote
The Democratic Party is in urgent need of reform. Luckily, Harry F. Byrd has agreed to rebuild the party in a way that Patton approves of, getting rid of party machines and their other corrupt practices. While they will remain separate from the Old Democratic Party, it will exist as an option for more moderate conservatives in the country, and with such support, may stand a chance of winning election someday.
Ideology: Clientelismnote Social Conservatism
See his entry in the United States of America page.
James Francis Byrnes
Role: Presidentnote Head of State (Dixie Democratic Election - Byrnes elected)
Party: Democratic Partynote
The more liberal faction of the Democratic Party will be led by James Francis Byrnes. Not a liberal by any means, he is still more open to government intervention and stimulus programs than someone like Harry F. Byrd. As such, he has been deemed as sufficient to lead the liberal wing of the party, perhaps rebuilding it from ruin and leading it to victory one day.
Ideology: Populist Dixiecratnote Social Democracy
- Internal Reformist: Downplayed. Byrnes leads the liberal faction of the Democratic Party who supports government intervention and stimulus programs, and opposes the Klan majorly. Compared to majority of the Democrats who prefer political machine politics he's much more progressive. Despite this he still further propagates the 'separate but equal' idea of segregating the races behind fences and walls instead of integrating the races.

Ideology: Populist Dixiecratnote Social Conservatism
- Red Scare: Wallace is a demagogue that puts crowds into frenzies with his fiery language and presence, he uses this to his advantage and fearmongers to the people that Byrnes is a socialist and seeks to spread his destructive socialist ideology and lies to the CAR to destroy it from the inside. Of course many don't buy his red-baiting and can simply ignore his loud words as simple bombastic emptiness.
- Young and in Charge: Wallace was born in 1919 and is not even an adult by the start of the game, but can nonetheless become President after the Dixiecrats' victory in the civil war.
Lurleen B. Wallace
Role: Presidentnote Head of State (Wallace assassinated)
Party: Democratic Partynote
The more liberal faction of the Democratic Party will be led by James Francis Byrnes. Not a liberal by any means, he is still more open to government intervention and stimulus programs than someone like Harry F. Byrd. As such, he has been deemed as sufficient to lead the liberal wing of the party, perhaps rebuilding it from ruin and leading it to victory one day.
Ideology: Populist Dixiecratnote Social Conservatism
- Crusading Widow: Lurleen after Wallace dies still continues his ideas even after her husband's death determined and always supporting at his side never wavered her loyalty. Still she continues her husband's 'Segregation Now, Segregation Tomorrow, Segregation Forever' trait.
James K. Vardaman
Role: Presidentnote Head of State (Dixie Democratic Election - Vardaman elected)
Party: Democratic Party (Vardaman Camp)note
The furthest left the conventional Democratic Party in the South could ever go, this faction, or rather a mass popular movement among the common White folk, represents the hero of that class James K. Vardaman. A friend of the labor unions, female suffrage, common 'redneck' workers, the Jewish people, anti-colonialism and reforms Mississipi's 'People's Senator' is nonetheless an avowed White supremacist, holding the Black man as inferior and ensuring that he shall be kept in the place deserved by him, yet ensured by legal means and fair trials. Although much of the aristocratic establishment in the South scoffs at JKV's ideas, with mutual disdain held by his supporters towards the said elite, some are wary that in the absence of any other Socialist party Vardaman may yet shatter the dominance of the established class.
Ideology: Vardamanismnote Radical Socialism
- Affectionate Nickname: Vardaman is nicknamed the People's Senator due to his populist rhetoric that supports the white working class.
- Commie Nazis: Vandarman mixes populist and agrarian socialist economic policies with rabid white nationalism, empowering the common blue-collar white and Jewish worker while reducing blacks to second-class citizens who can have their property appropriated for the "common good" of the white man.
- Dirty Communists: Downplayed. Representing the most left-wing faction in the CAR (to the point of being classified as a Radical Socialist, though he rejects all forms of revolutionary socialism, ranging from Marxism and anarchism to syndicalism), Vardaman is nonetheless a white supremacist, holding the Black man as inferior and ensuring that he shall be kept in his deserved place.
- Politically Correct Villain: Downplayed. Vardaman is a white supremacist and obviously no friend to Africans, but nonetheless has sold himself as a "progressive" by being more egalitarian when not dealing with the "race question", such as promoting women's rights and protecting Jewish citizens.
- Villain with Good Publicity: Vardaman is a white supremacist liked by the white working class for his straight-forward attitude and relatability, his strict adherence to truth and justice, and his fiery, dedicated and genuinely Southern demeanour.

Dissident Socialists
Walter Francis White
Role: Presidentnote Head of State
Party: National Association for the Advancement of Colored Peoplenote
Hardly a true Syndicalist force or even an actual political party, the NAACP - or what’s left of it - stands as one of the last safe havens for America’s Black population, as well as the face and facade of a small but varied and diehard coalition of America’s remaining minority advocates, non-supremacist Socialists, and other like-minded figures across America’s dying Left and Centre-Left. Fronted by the non-ideological moderate Walter Francis White - the White civil rights activist who has led the NAACP since 1929 - alongside anti-Klan journalist and folklorist turned union leader Stetson Kennedy, this broad coalition also finds other prominent figures within its ranks from across the political spectrum, incorporating thoughts and ideas from similar movements and ideologues preaching for Civil Rights, Black equality, and social freedoms from across the fractured Union past and present such as Frederick Douglass, William Lloyd Garrison, David Walker, Theodore Dwight Weld, John Brown, Sojourner Truth, Hariet Beecher Stowe, Robert Russa Moton, Booker T. Washington, Hariet Tubman, Norman Thomas, Henry David Thoreau, Henry Wallace, Upton Sinclair, Ira Kemp, John Steinbeck, George W. Norris, Jack Reed, Edward Bellamy, Casper Holstein, Daniel De Leon, Earl Browder, William Foster, Harold Loeb, Frank Crosswaith, Hubert Harrison, and Henry George, and including among its own members professional Black politicians and colored people of note currently sidelined yet luckily left untouched by the Constitutionalist regime such as Asa Philip Randolph, W.E.B. Du Bois, Robert Songstacke Abbott, Zora Neale Hurston, Thurgood Marshall, Martin Luther King, Harry Haywood, Paul Robeson, Ben J. Davis, James W. Ford, Langston Hughes, Claude McKay, and more, with many of these more ideologically driven members dreaming of future political aspirations should the reactionary regime that has enthralled America finally fall.
Ideology: Radical Progressivismnote Syndicalism
- Token Good Teammate: White is one of the very few anti-racists in the CAR, and he is the only socialist that advocates anti-racist policies that aren't repressive or authoritarian. He advocates for anti-racist progressive egalitarianism, where even though he's non-ideological, he's considered a radical especially by the reactionary in the CAR.
George W. Christians
Role: Presidentnote Head of State
Party: Crusade for the Second Southern Revolutionnote
A grassroots movement created by George William Christians in the wake of the 1929 Crash, what came to be known as the political wing of the Crusader White Shirts is just the most recent incarnation of various 'paper and ink' movements established by the engineer from Chattanooga. Originally just calling for a 'revolution for economic liberty', as Christians grew disillusioned with the entire political spectrum and existing structures he turned to not only foreign totalitarians like emerging Charterites of the Internationale, or even the failed Bolsheviks, vowing to be so 'red' as to make them look 'yellow', but also to the writings of the Southern intellectual George Fitzhugh. A figure peculiar in the history of the States, Fitzhugh is the progenitor of an idea to enslave every race, including the White man, and create a world in opposition to the idea that it is 'too much governed', thus calling the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights heretical doctrines to be uprooted. Although the support base for Christians is very small, it is zealous in their devotion to Fitzhughist doctrines, and if a time would come they could grab for power a more sinister time than ever may befall the Southern State...
Ideology: Fitzhughismnote Totalism
- Despotism Justifies the Means: Fitzhughism, as promoted by Christians, follows the belief that the very idea that one can be "Too much governed" as ludicrous, and instead seeks to make sure everyone, regardless of race, is "kept in their rightful place", by creating a color-blind chattel slavery caste system in America.
- Dirty Communists: Zigzagged. Christians himself claims to be more radical than other socialists by 'being so red making the communards look yellow', though his actual political views are quite far from actual socialism and encompass things such as chattel slavery, anti-Catholicism, and authoritarian hyper pragmatism.
- Hates Everyone Equally: Christians is notable for being the only CAR leader who goes as far as promoting race-blind slavery, as under the ideals of Fitzhughism, the Bill of Rights and the very notion of individual liberty are rejected as "heretical doctrines".
- Knight Templar: Christians is a devout follower of Fitzhughism which essentially is anti-capitalist, race-blind, chattel slavery. He believes that socialism itself is not radical enough, and claims it's too yellow, comparing himself to being red. Due to his uncompromising beliefs, this pretty much leaves all of the Internationale to hate him, except a few zealots and disillusioned radicals, who are die-hard supporters of him and his bizarre ideology.
