Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Updated my drafts for Konan and Secre. Posting for feedback.

Secre Swallowtail, Goddess of Sealing Magic (Secré Swallowtail, Nero, Best Birb)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/secre_swallowtail_movie.png
Click here to see her as Nero
  • Intermediate Goddess
  • Symbol: Her anti-bird form as Nero
  • Theme Music: New Page
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Profile: Sealing Magic, Aloof Dark-Haired Girl, Sugar-and-Ice Personality, Turned into an anti-bird as result of using forbidden magic, but can now switch between her human and anti-bird forms, Badass Adorable, Undying Loyalty, Breakout Character, Blue Blood, Beware the Quiet Ones
  • Domains: Sealing, Birds, Loyalty
  • Hearld: Lumiere Silvamillion Clover
  • Allies: Asta, Yuno Grinberryall, Noelle Silva, Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki, Sakura Kinomoto, The Ghostbusters, Princess Zelda, Odette, Ahiru
  • Enemies: Typhon, Hexxus, The Nibiru Entity, Dagon, Many evil deities in the House of Demons, Dis, Demise
  • Secre Swallowtail was a royal servant of the first Wizard King, Lumiere Silvamillion Clover, who befriended her after he had shown her kindness and saw potential in her sealing magic (which was looked down for being seemingly useless). This led her to sympathize with Lumiere's goal for equality, inventing magic items so people who'd been unfortunate regarding their magic would be able to use different types of spells and society could be more equal. On the day humans massacred the elves under the Devil Zagred's manipulation, Secre used Forbidden Magic to seal both Lumiere and Zagred at the cost of being turned into a bird for 500 years, eventually becoming a companion to Asta while going by the name Nero. When Zagred manages to unseal himself, Secre would regain her original human form and unseal Lumiere to help the heroes fight against the Devil, succeeding in destroying him before Lumiere passes away and encourages her to live on. The Black Bulls accepting her as one of their own ends convincing her to do so completely as she becomes a loyal member ever since.
  • Secre would find herself ascended into the Pantheon not long after her contribution to slaying the Devil Zagred and joining the Black Bulls, reuniting with Asta, Yuno, and Noelle in the process. The Court of the Gods took interest in her Sealing Magic and vouched to have become a deity representing Supernatural Sealing. Touched that once again her talents were recognized, Secre accepted the offer and was welcomed happily in the Pantheon.
  • Since her magic was able to seal away a powerful being like a Devil, Secre tends to be feared and hated by deities that were subjected to Sealed Evil in a Can. Typhon, Hexxus, the Nibiru Entity, and Diagon all had sought to destroyed Secre for her magic and deemed her a threat because of it. Thankfully Secre still has her allies to depend on and she can use her magic to help ensure monsters like these can never threaten anyone again, whether it's through destroying permeantly or sealing them away without any chance of escape.
    • Naturally, most Devils at the Hall of Demons and Satanic deities like Dis don't like her, being understand afraid that her magic could affect them too. Since many demons have fallen victim to Sealed Evil in a Can, this is understandable. The Beast and Demise in particular loathe Secre's Sealing Magic and seek to kill her to ensure she doesn't become a threat.
  • Secre has met other deities capable of sealing other beings. In particular:
  • Kushina Uzumaki specialized in Fūinjutsu, a brand of sealing jutsu, and thus became quick friends with Secre after meeting her and learning of her magic. Kushina found Secre quite adorable and tends to dote on her just as much as she did to Minato's student Rin Nohara. Both have spent a lot of time discussing their methods of sealing and how each improve upon them.
  • Sakura Kinomoto had once worked to seal the spirits of the Clow Cards so they don't fade away or cause too much trouble. Learning about Secre's Sealing Magic has her seek her out to help her learn more powerful sealing magic to help her capture spirits more efficiently. Secre has agreed to help Sakura, actually quite glad that someone seeks to learn her branch of magic.
  • The Ghostbusters hunt down and contain troublesome ghosts, though their methods are quite destructive as they cause a lot of property damage, almost similarly to the Black Bulls. Secre has offered her services to the Ghostbusters to help contain evil spirits, though she wonders if some of these spirits can actually pass on to the afterlife.
  • Princess Zelda has worked to seal Ganon or his incarnations in various timelines. When she heard of Secre's sealing magic, she has requested Secre to help her improve her seals to ensure Ganon can never cause harm again. Secre agrees to do so and studies Zelda's power and works to combine it with her magic to make a more powerful seal on Ganon.
  • Tends to make short trips to the Hall of Birds, where she is a welcome guest. Secre has come to enjoy being an anti-bird after being stuck in the form for 5 centuries, to the point she tends to take on her bird form frequently to rest on Asta's head. She became close friends with Odette, another noble who was forced to turn into a bird (in her case, a swan), leading her to pay visits and hold conversations with her while avoidin the more evil birds in the house. Secre also came across Ahiru in the Hall of Theatric Narrative, who can also switch between a human and bird form (a duck), though unlike her and Odette, Ahiru started out as a bird. Ahiru had to sacrifice her human form in order to help Mytho, a sacrifice that led to a bittersweet ending for her. Secre sympathized with the girl, so she tends to become an anti-bird whenever Ahiru turns into a duck to give her company.

Konan, Goddess of Prim and Proper Buns (Angel)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/naruto_konan.png
  • Intermediate Goddess
  • Symbol: Her light blue paper flower
  • Theme Music: Angelic Herald of Death
  • Alignment: Lawful Evil, formerly Neutral Good (Now Lawful Neutral with good intentions)
  • Portfolio: Affably Evil, Anti-Villain, Beware the Quiet Ones, Dark Action Girl, Dark Chick, Paper Master, The Smurfette Principle, Closer to Earth, Loyal to Nagato, Killed by Tobi after a failed attempt to stop him from taking Nagato's corpse
  • Domains: Origami, Paper, Hair Buns, Loyalty
  • Hearld: Yahiko
  • Allies: Pain/Nagato, Homura Akemi, Raven, Remy LeBeau/Gambit, Kubo
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Obito Uchiha
  • Enemies: Madara Uchiha, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki
  • The only female member of the Akatsuki, Konan can use origami-based jutsu. When she was just a little girl, Konan was orphaned during the Land of Rain's civil war before she was found and trained by Jiraiya alongside Nagato and Yahiko. The three would found the Akatsuki organization in the hopes of bringing peace to the Ninja World, only for the leader of Amegakure, Hanzo, to betray the group and hold Konan hostage to force Nagato to kill Yahiko. When the latter commits suicide to please Hanzo, Nagato would lash out and kill Hanzo, remodeling the Akatsuki to become a criminal organization with the vow to bring peace through fear, with Konan joining his side. After Naruto spares Nagato's life and stays true to Jiraiya's teachings, leading Nagato to restore the lives he stole in Konohagakure, Konan would take the bodies of her friends back to Amegakure and assume leadership, only for Tobi to eventually arrive to take the Rinnegan from Nagato's corpse. Despite putting up a good fight against Tobi and almost killing him, Konan would meet her end at his hands, dying just after being forced to divulge the location of Nagato's body.
  • Konan's soul would wind up in the Pantheon after her death, where she would be informed that she would now become a deity representing Prim and Proper Bun. Upon hearing that Naruto, Nagato, and Jiraiya were in the Pantheon, Konan immediately flew off to meet them, resulting in a happy reunion with her friend Nagato, and an apology to Jiraiya and Naruto (the former for betraying his ideals, and the latter for not being able to help him in his time of need due to his death). Konan accepted her new place in the Pantheon after adjusting to her new life.
    • When Konan found about Obito Uchiha, aka Tobi, she is not thrilled to see him in the Pantheon, since he did use her and Nagato in the Land of the Living before he killed her following her defection. Hearing that Obito was a pawn in Madara and Kaguya's schemes, as well as the fact that Nagato is working with him in the Pantheon, is the only reason that Konan is just barely able to tolerate Obito's prescene, though she makes it clear she still has no intention to forgive him anytime soon. Obito admits that her reaction is justified, as he still has so much to atone for, though at the very least they do have some common ground in seeing Madara and Kaguya as enemies, since they both had used them for their own purposes (albeit indirectly when it came to Konan).
  • Konan found a kindred spirit in Homura Akemi, both of whom were devoted to someone close to them. They both would use any methods to ensure their safety, and later both decided to carry out their late friends' wishes (Homura chose to protect the world after Madoka becomes the Law of Cycles, while Konan chose to work alongside Naruto after Nagato sacrifices his life to resurrect the people he killed). Sadly, both of them encountered tragedy that along the way (Konan gets killed by Tobi and fails to stop him from taking Nagato's corpse, while Homura would end up becoming a Devil by betraying Madoka in a misguided attempt to keep her happy and safe). Konan notes that Homura's actions worked similarly to Obito and Madara's Eye of the Moon Plan, though and acknowledges she could have gone down a different path if she hadn't met Naruto.
  • Kubo and Konan formed a close kinship after learning they both could control origami and suffered a horrible loss (Konan lost Yahiko, while Kubo lost his parents). They showed sympathy for the other for their loss, though Kubo also felt saddened by how Konan was used as a pawn and died failing to save the body of her friend Nagato and never living to accomplish her dream. Konan sympathized with Konan with the loss of his family at the hands of cruel people, remembering how she lost Yahiko because of Hanzō and Danzō. The two usually spend the time sharing stories and using origami to tell their tales.
  • Raven, like Konan, is an emotionally closed off Dark Chick with a tragic past but become a powerful heroic ally to the heroes. Raven notes that Konan reminds her of herself a little, which allows her to get along with the former Akatsuki member. She sympathizes with Konan's loss and how she was killed before she could help Naruto achieve his dream of peace. Konan in turn felt sympathetic to Raven's plight of being used by an evil being, reminding her of how Nagato was used as a means of controlling the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path and potentially as a means to resurrect Madara Uchiha. They tend to talk about their closest companions and how their bonds made them stronger. Raven has also taken to learn origami from Konan and secretly creates origami ponies in her spare time.
  • Gambit's power to convert the potential energy of objects into kinetic energy, allowing him to turn small objects like paper cards explosives or projectiles acts similarly to Konan's paper projectiles and explosive tags. Gambit actually gives Konan trouble during their fight by turning her paper weapons into bombs that explode in her face, forcing Konan to adapt and start using her Jutsu carefully to at least survive a fight with him. The battle remains undetermined, but Konan hopes to avoid facing Gambit again as much as possible.

I have a question

With the trope "Industrialized Mercury" I want to know if (when used as a dominion) it should be a specific version of Mercury, or like Venus and Mars it should be a "composite" version. Personally I think the latter at this point.

@Mattman as she was known as God's Angel for being Pain's messenger and her paper wings, how would Konan feel about members of the Hall of Angels? For Secre, given their strong sense of loyalty and bird motifs even in their names, how would she interact with Riza Hawkeye? And there's a red link in Dem in Demise, it should be Last Moments not Last Acts.

[up][up] I’d say "composite" version.

@Mattman, Since you listed Demise, I think it’s only appropriate to also as Ganondorf and Vaati as well.

Quick rough draft for Lasser Glass. It's a mirror that may be possessed by an evil spirit and causes those who own it to lose their sanity and messes up their perception of reality.

Looking for suggestions for additional interactions.

Lasser Glass, Unholy Instigator of Mirror Scares

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lasserglassedited.png
  • Intermediate Entity
  • Symbol: Itself
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Portfolio: Attack of the Killer Whatever, Magic Mirror, Artifact of Doom, Can’t be Shattered Directly, For the Evulz, Invincible Villain, May or may not Actually be Sentient
  • Domains: Mirrors, Curses
  • Enemies: SCP Foundation
  • Siblings Kaylie and Tim Russell acquire an antique mirror known as the Lasser Glass, a mirror that according to Kaylie, is responsible for the deaths of those that previously owned it, including her parents. Despite Tim’s initial skepticism about what actually happened, he ends up working with her to destroy the mirror when they witness the mirror’s supernatural properties. The Lasser Glass is able to distort reality around those who have the mirror, forcing its victims to perceive things that happened, but didn’t (and vice versa), can drive them to madness, and is able to summon corrupted spirits of its past victims. Kaylie’s attempt to destroy the mirror ends in her death and Tim is arrested for seemingly causing it, much like what happened when the two were children and Tim was arrested after their parents were killed.
  • The Pantheon was preparing to auction a number of items ranging from useless trinkets to rare finds at a high-end event and one such item that made it to the list of things to be auctioned included the Lasser Glass. There were murmurs among the audience given reports of bad things happening to those who owned the mirror, but the auction continued as planned and it ended up in the hands of what appeared to be a normal family. A few days later, news reports came in saying that the family who bought the mirror ended up dead, fueling worries about the Lasser Glass and some have suggested destroying the mirror to prevent any more fatalities. That didn’t work out as not only was the mirror still around, but the people sent to examine it died, angering those who were looking for a quick way to destroy another cursed item present in the Pantheon. It was eventually decided to lock the Lasser Glass away in a highly secure and isolated area to prevent any more fatalities until a final decision can be made on how to get rid of the mirror without risking any more lives. As with most other attempts to prevent tragedy, it wasn’t going to stop some wicked minds from finding a way to get the mirror out in the open and such a thing has happened more than once.
  • The SCP Foundation was no stranger to examining unusual mirrors that could threaten the livelihood of others and the Lasser Glass was no different in that regard. It found itself being contained by the SCP Foundation for a while as the group was looking for possible answers on why the mirror was causing its owners to lose their sanity. It didn’t take long before members of the SCP Foundation started to fall for the effects of the mirror, ranging from hallucinating an attack caused by SCP-682 (when the SCP in question was actually in a secure place at the moment) to causing bodily harm over actions that personnel thought was innocuous. The closest the Foundation got to finding any answers about the mirror was the possibility that a malevolent spirit was possessing it, but it became apparent that keeping the Lasser Glass for too long was causing problems within the Foundation and it led to the mirror being sent away to a far-off location. It hasn’t stopped the Foundation from finding potential additional information about the mirror and what can be done to stop it, but they’ve been more careful about examining the Lasser Glass since then.

[up] Queen Nehelenia of the Dead Moon Circus is an Evil Queen who was sealed into a mirror universe by Queen Serenity. Nehelenia then proceeded to curse Serenity’s kingdom to ruin. However, unlike the hallucinations of entities that can be caused by the Lasser Glass, the creature that is Queen Nehelenia is VERY real and very monstrous, in more ways than one. She can also view the outside world through mirrors. Think Bill Cipher’s peepholes. Some of her magic, though not all of it, utilizes mirrors and specializes in them.

[up][up] Dark Pit was generated from another magical mirror, coming into form after Pit smashed the Mirror of Truth. While it wouldn't be an exact match, the two angels wouldn't be any strangers to seeing mirrors being used for evil purposes, so the two would likely attempt to destroy it (although not without worry from Pit on making something worse through it). While Dark Pit ultimately isn't one to give much care to humanity in general, even he would probably be a little disturbed by the pure maliciousness it objects, at least.

[up][up][up] The Magic Mirror is used by the Evil Queen to inform her who is the fairest of them all. Illuso of La Squadra's Stand, Man in the Mirror, allows him to transport himself and others to a mirror world, usually so he can trap and kill others. Dark Meta Knight is a malevolent being who hails from the Mirror World.

Admittedly this is some ActorAllusion, but the Doctor might consider investigating and thwarting it (and he's defeated a lot worse before). Relating to mirrors (optional to mention as with any of this) the 10th Doctor sealed the Daughter of Mine in every mirror as punishment. Speaking of Doctor Who...

I am considering restoring and reworking The Order of The Silence, at least in a better way (to distinguish the original and Renegade Splinter Faction) under either "The Scream" Parody or Amnesia Danger, and if you're up for it I want to know which is the better choice of trope. For the former, Moffat has confirmed they are inspired by the screaming figure in the painting with their stretched-out, humanoid appearances. For the latter, the Silence operate by making it so you can't remember them when you're not looking at them. Originally this was so the priests could hear your confession and you'd forget about it but the splinter faction used them for Ancient Conspiracy purposes

Forgot that the time limit is up for Sense-Impaired Monster, and remembered a day after it was done.

The Figure, Hindered Beast of Sense Impaired Monsters

Reasoning: The Figure is an abominable entity which has superhuman senses...except in sight. It is blind, which allows you to escape it in both of the boss battles against it. The creature however still ranks highly in other senses, easily surpassing a human in every way other than sight. Blindness is also the most common disability for the monsters who play the trope, and the Figure catches that part perfectly Also, it's the page image.

Note: I know I said I put the Doors stuff on hold, but after a bit of thinking, and actually looking at the update, it seems okay. Nothing big, just a way to actually combat the monsters.

@Mattman_the_Storyteller - Secre & Konan

  • No issue with Secre (besides the ones already mentioned) so far but why is Gambit listed as an ally to Konan when their interaction seems more antagonizing.

@M1gamiTensei - Zoldyck Family
  • Duke Togo/Golgo 13 - Just like with 47, I feel like the family would also respect him as he also an hired assasin has no powers and is able to pull off daring kills with his sniper gun.
  • The other family in the Crime Business is Vito and Michael Corleone. Michael also tried to get out of the family business but he eventually embraced it to be more cruel than his father.
  • The other assassination/killer groups I remember are the Brave Companions and La Squadra Esecuzioni

@Rmpdc - Operation Kraken
  • I'm thinking of other deities would could also had Secret Weapons too:
    • Kane and the NOD are fond of making secret weapons, so they could be allies or rivals
    • Kuvira has a secret weapon in the form of an Humongous Mecha. I don't think a partnership is possible for them tho.

@DoodSlayer136 - Wendy Carter
  • I think making Abigail her Herald is appropriate. It can't make bring her back to life tho like other dead and revived heralds as she likely remains a ghost for some reason.
  • Do you think Wendy could represent "Sadness" in the House of Emotion? Considering that the person representing Optimism is in that section as well.
    • Speaking of which, I wanna see her interact Raven and Pollyanna on is in that section. Their respective cold and happy personalities serve as a nice contrast to Wendy's sadness.
  • While his sadness and cynisism does not stems from a traumatic event as far as I know, I think she would get along with Eeyore just fine.
  • Definitely enemies with people who feed or spend despair like Junko Enoshima, The Dementors and especially the The Beast.
  • Speaking of The Beast, she would be allies with people with good sibling relations like with Wirt and Greg and Dipper and Mabel.
    • Actually, you can try to find other interactions in the hall of Twins and Siblings. Maybe the hall makes her sad and the good deities would pity her.
  • Considering that Abigail is a ghost follows her everywhere, I would imagine she would not be afraid of the ghosts in the Hall of Ghosts. Like her stats of being less afraid of Monsters, she would be less afraid of creatures in the Houses of Otherness and Undead and Phasmata. Abigail would only start to attack creatures that hurt Wendy or creatures that Wendy hit first.
  • Probably enemies with living shadows like Mister Babadook and Dark Link and those who command shadows like Dr. Facilier. I kinda wished this was on Wilson's profile as well.

@ DoodSlayer136: Stan Pines became an Angsty Surviving Twin when during an argument he accidentally sent his brother, Stanford Pines, to another dimension.

Laetitia is another Creepy Child, an Abnormality who gives gifts that are actually pranks in which her "friends" to explode from within the giftees. She's blissfully unaware to the actual harm her pranks cause and only focuses on how it'll make people laugh and become friends with her.

@ Mattman: Alice was sealed away during the end of the First Biblioclastic War through the use of biblioclastic rounds, special magic-imbued weapons that exploited her bottomless love for knowledge. When she broke out a hundred years later humanity busted out the same weapons and found it did nothing to her because she had her fill of them. The Second Biblioclastic War ended in her victory when she proceeded to devour all of humanity with no one to stop her.

@ rlock: One of the Abnormalities contained by Lobotomy Corporation is the Mirror of Adjustment, a ZAYIN-class where those who look into their reflection come out as different people though continued use will eat away at the viewer's humanity. Gameplay wise, it has its uses through shuffling the stats of those who use it but it's harmless otherwise.

The Agents would liken Lasser Glass with the Mirror of Adjustment though compared to other Abnormalities and even horrors in and around the City, from the Wings to the Backstreets, it's not too eye-catching.

Jean Pierre Polanereff's sister was assaulted and murdered by J. Geil, another Stand User whose Stand, the Hanged Man, can travel between reflections and attack people through them.

With Bridget's profile all wrapped up, I think I'm ready to begin working on my next concept here. So, in terms of the two tropes I have in mind for them, which of these tropes work best for Gengar?

Tombstone Teeth- The more self-explanatory of the two tropes. To help heighten the creepy qualities of the Ghost-type Pokemon, Gengars bear a set of humanoid chompers that are uniformly white, straight, and blocky. This is something Gengars keep in all appearances, their mouth never losing the shape it has. In turn, Gengar also fits the trope being a sub-trope of the wider Scary Teeth catalog, being one of few Pokemon species we know is actively malicious even when ignoring the fact it's a literal spirit.

Our Ghosts Are Different (through "Ghosts As A Species" or "Unconventional Ghosts"/"Unconventional Spirits")- Ghost-types in the Pokemon series are an... interesting case in terms of being phantoms, to put it lightly. To start, not all Ghost-type Pokemon hail from those who have passed, and while they do exist (Phantump, the Hisuian Zorua line, and Greavard, for example), the vast majority of Ghost-types don't mention this fact. This has allowed Ghost-type Pokemon to be quite varied in their depictions, ranging from balloons that carry kids to the underworld, to possessed piles of sand, to even just Pokemon that harness their abilities from the beyond. While Gengar isn't the strangest of these 'mons (namely being a purple blob representing a shadow), its status as the original fully-evolved Ghost-type Pokemon works well in representing its type as a whole. Furthermore, Ghost-type Pokemon can freely interact with the world around them, being able to play, eat, sleep, and fight just like any other Pokemon in existence. This is something Gengars are no stranger to, with its status as a Living Shadow causing no issues with it being able to interact with the world around it. Finally, Ghost-type Pokemon, despite their sometimes status as former humans, are really just like any other Pokemon in existence... animals under any other name. Animals with the ability to spew fire and casually generate earthquakes, yes, but animals nonetheless.

@M1gami Tensei, I understand if you’re reluctant to look further into what happened, but you should look further into these kind of things before bringing it up on the forum. For clarification, Zatanna used a spell so that nobody would have Joker's child. Unfortunately when she did this Joker had a mouth full of mud. The next day Joker threw up a literal belly full of sentient shapeshifting mud. And that’s the current story.

Considering that they're on opposite sides, he'll come into conflict against them often.

@Lasser Glass: Salad Fingers is already insane with a demented mind at the very least, and had an antagonistic treatment of his own mirror seeing his "Glass Brother and Mother" in there, the former being a more mean version of him and not wanting to see either of them again. @Mattman — Considering her own loyalty to Nagato and her subsequent redemption/defection, I'd suggest Konan to have interactions with those with a similar determined mindset as Naruto as well as anti-villains who wanted to bring peace in their own warped way. Darth Vader is a good example to start off with for the latter, as even after turning to the Dark Side, he convinced himself that he was bettering the galaxy and was establishing order, which contrasts what Palpatine was aiming for. Bonus points to Anakin's descent to evil being driven by his love for Padme, which is similar to how Konan became more cynical following Yahiko's death, whom she loved.

Nagato's attempt to bring peace via fear may bring into mind Sinestro who felt that trying to make the universe a better place meant using oppressive means like fear and preemptively attacking those he sees as threats. While many hate him, Sinestro makes some good points about his actions, and why the universe continues to be threatened and is genuine about wanting to bring order for the greater good. Still, I doubt Konan would come to an alliance, given how maverick and arrogant Sinestro can be at times.

@RJ — As one of two dinosaur enthusiasts working in the Pantheon, what comes to mind as potential Pantheon choices are the Residential Fauna of Lustria, Anjanath, and Prehistory-based Creatures from Lustria (though if a singular character is what's best for the latter, then I would suggest the Devilsaur).
