  • Face–Heel Turn: She was initially supposed to be a much better head cheerleader to Paula but gradually became just as bad as her.
  • Fallen Princess: She becomes this after Jessica exposes her relationship with Brendan, making her lose her Alpha Bitch status.
  • Flanderization: The weekly episode completely revert Taylor's Character Development in "Football Star", turning her from a Nice Girl planning to rebel against Paula with the occasional tendency to be a bit silver tongued to a complete Alpha Bitch.     Antagonists

Adam

  • Dark and Troubled Past: If living in the poorest part of town wasn't enough, there's also the fact that his brother was killed in a driving accident. Bryce has noted that Adam was significantly less of a jerk before the incident.
  • Dumb Jock: Adam was a stellar quarterback but struggled with academics.
  • Everyone Has Standards: While he can be a jerk to John at times, he's quick to come to his defense when he's cornered by Wilson High students. Most likely due to Wilson High being Centerscore High's biggest rival.
  • Jerkass/Jerk Jock: His position as quarterback tends to make him act like a jerk. Throughout ‘’Football Star’’ he taunts John and constantly berates him after attacking him on his first day.
  • Popular Is Dumb: He is the school football star and has trouble in school.
  • The Rival: Starts off as this to John in Football Star but the player has the option to try and heal their relationship with Adam or make it worse.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Throughout the year in Football Star, Adam can become progressively nicer to John if you try to mend their relationship. In Big Man on Campus, Adam's revealed to have left the football team, instead opting to pursue poetry, and personally apologizes to John for being a jerk to him in the first place.

Jessica Blaire

  • Alpha Bitch: For the latter of The New Girl.
  • Attention Whore: She usually made her cheerleading routines all about herself.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: On the outside, she seems like a caring friend but is actually vicious on the inside.
  • Book Dumb: Jessica can be a bit dimwitted but she sure is a clever schemer.
  • The Chessmaster: Jessica is exceptionally impressive at manipulating events to further her plans.
  • Commuting on a Bus: She leaves after Nice Girl Unleashed but makes a few more appearances in A New Start.
  • Conflict Killer: By the start of season seven of The New Girl, in Zoe's perspective, Taylor is seemingly the antagonist after she loses to Zoe at Homecoming, yet still has her position as head cheerleader. So where it seems that Taylor was ready to make cheerleading practice hell (which she did for a while), Jessica is suddenly introduced as the plot antagonist after overthrowing Taylor from the position and having Zoe take the blame for how she did it.
  • Consummate Liar: She is a compulsive and very convincing liar.
  • Dude Magnet: She was notorious for dating multiple guys. At the same time.

  • False Friend: She completely masqueraded as being a helpful friend to Ben, Denni, and Zoe only to be plotting behind their backs.
  • Fille Fatale: Jessica was pretty good at getting what she wanted and would use her looks for it too.
  • Hated by All: Once elections rolled around, nobody could stand Jessica.
  • Ice Queen: In every way.
  • Karma Houdini: She manages to expose Brendan and Taylor’s relationship, overthrow Taylor as captain, frame Zoe for it, and break up Ben and Denni all in one season and gets away with it. In season 11, it all finally comes to bite her.
  • Manipulative Bitch: She managed to manipulate Zoe, Denni, Ben, Justin and the whole cheerleading squad into doing what she wanted.
  • Popular Is Dumb: She has her strengths but academics is definitely not one.
  • Really Gets Around: She was dating three guys at the same time at one point.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Her brief appearance in Halloween: The Second Kiss, Part 2 where she informs Denni, Colt, and Ben about Taylor’s whereabouts foreshadows the events in ''Cheerevolution: Part 2’'.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass:
    • After becoming head cheerleader she definitely became much more meaner, unpleasant, and devious.
    • Arguably again, during the election when everyone noticed how she was acting even more uptight and ruder than usual.
  • Valley Girl: Her signature word being "totes".
  • Verbal Tic: "Totes."
  • Villain with Good Publicity: Due to her Alpha Bitch status and attempts to make herself seem more kind and sincere to earn peoples trust, Jessica had most of the school's approval. That is until class elections when just about everyone was getting sick of her.

Maria Gonzalez

  • Alpha Bitch: In How To Be A Star and the Troublemakers reboot, she fills this role.
  • Face–Heel Turn: She was originally a generally good-hearted cheerleader who was hopeful in becoming captain. By ''Troublemakers’’, she follows Taylor’s footsteps and begins to act antagonistically.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Maria was sweet and hinted at being a captain of the squad that wouldn’t let power get to their head but as soon as she became head cheerleader, she started acting ruder and bossier.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: Due to her popularity.

Nate Crawford

  • The Ace: He's a highly respected student at the school.
  • Betty and Veronica: An interesting take on this trope. Although, his Jerkass tendencies would make him the Veronica, his charisma also makes him the Betty to Owen who could be the Veronica since he has a troubled past but also the Betty due to being the Nice Guy.
  • Big Man on Campus: Serves as this in A New Start.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Started off as this in A New Start and initially in Troublemakers, however, when the writers noticed that fans liked him as a potential love interest for Allison, they let his darker side gradually fade and even gave players the option to choose him as Allison's boyfriend in the series finale.
  • The Charmer: Nate managed to charm just about everyone at Twin Branches.
  • Chick Magnet: Multiple girls had a crush on him when he came to Centerscore.
  • Crazy Jealous Guy: His most prominent trait.
  • Everyone Loves Blondes: A number of girls were attracted to Nate’s beauty.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: His jealousy is his biggest flaw and often led him to make terrible decisions.
  • Pretty Boy
  • Princely Young Man: Nate’s status as the wealthy son of the mayor and the fact that he’s ridiculously handsome makes him a popular student among the student body.
  • Instant Fan Club: He managed to already have a group of admirers when he came to the school.
  • Jerkass:
    • In A New Start, he quickly established his role as the resident douchebag.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Arguably one of the best examples in the game besides Jessica.
  • Preppy Name: Nate Crawford is most likely a play on Gossip Girl's Nate Archibald played Chace Crawford.
