    Eva & E'Athanata.VEXE
"It's just... simple computer engineering..."
Eva
"Hold it! Don't even mention the word "date" around Sis unless your strong enough to beat me!"
E'Athanata

Eva Heurassein; "Battle Code Seraph"

A shy netbattler with a lot of skill and a perfect record. Very knowledgeable, but has years of muscular atrophy and little social experience.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Make no mistake, there is a reason why she's called the "Battle Code Seraph".
  • Friendless Background: Because she was hospitalized for most of her life, she rarely encountered anyone whom she could bond with outside of the nurses and doctors, thus leaving her with no friends (or social skills) upon her release.
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: The reason she entered the Den-City Tournament in the first place.
  • Jack of All Trades: Due to spending all her time studying and having perfect recall, Eva has a 'very' long list of skills.
Eva: "Don't worry; what his file doesn't say is how much history I've studied over these years."
E'Athanata: "Not to mention science, physics, math-"
Leo: "Please, I'm an expert at all of-"
    E'Athanata: "-language, programming, cooking, medicine..."
Leo: "Okay, maybe not all of that."
  • Like Brother and Sister: Eva and E'athanata have a sisterly relation and are very close.
  • Mook Maker: Played with. Eva is very skilled at breeding her own viruses, including her own unique breeds. This turns out to be a major plot point in Life of a Code, where she was hired to make a virus that had the ability to lead other viruses.
  • No Social Skills: Growing up in a hospital with no one but doctors and nurses leaves little room for social interaction.
  • Obliviously Beautiful: She doesn't understand why all these boys keep flirting with her.
  • Ojou: She is the daughter of a wealthy video game company president named Montendo.
  • Overly Long Name: Her full name is 'Evangeline Esteria Dasion Sidos Heurassein'.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The Blue to E'Athanata's Red. Eva is very shy and physically weak, while E'Athanata is bold to the point of impulsiveness and has very high stats all around (apart from health).

E'Athanata.VEXE

Eva's Navi. A amalgamation of several deleted codes, she is one of the most powerful navis in existence, but can still only call upon a fraction of her true strength.
  • Berserk Button: Go ahead, flirt with Eva. Actually, anything that make Eva even slightly uncomfortable is enough to get Death Glares.
  • BFS: Ultimate Elements. The final part of the attack takes all of E'Athanata's Raiments and combines them into one of these, which she proceeds to beat you with.
  • Chest Insignia: As is common with NetNavis, E'Athanata has an insignia on her armor, taking the form of a butterfly.
  • Energy Ball: Instead of a traditional buster, E'Athanata is able to launch a volley of "stars" at her enemy
  • Glass Cannon: She has ¼th the health of a standard navi, putting her at a mere 250 health. E'Athanata even refers to herself as one. Of course, many find this difficult to believe since she is very good at dodging and plenty defensive in spite of her low health.
  • Gratuitous Greek: E'Athanata translates to 'The Undying'. Misspellings became so common that the user had to ask people to stop.
  • Green Thumb: While wearing her Scutzer-Type Armor, E'Athanata becomes a Wood Navi, and her charge attack involves causing roots/vines to sprout from the ground and ensnare the enemy.
  • Humanoid Abomination: Despite her humanoid form, E'Athanata has pieces of code from both CyBeasts, Gospel, the Life Virus, Colonel, Iris, MegaMan, Bass, and many more.
  • An Ice Person: While wearing her Scuttle-Type Armor, her charge attack becomes throwing a glacier at her opponents.
  • Impossibly Cool Clothes: Her Raiments 'float' behind her.
  • Insect Queen: As her armor is literally made of Scuttle viruses (which, in turn, are extremely insectoid), the "Queen of Scuttles" always has her loyal subject at her side.
  • Kaleidoscope Hair: Depending on her form, her hair is red, blue, green, gold, pink, or deep purple/black.
  • Like Brother and Sister: Eva and E'athanata have a sisterly relation and are very close.
  • Palette Swap: Her various armor types all look the same apart from a change in color.
  • Playing with Fire: While wearing her Scutz-Type Armor, E'Athanata becomes a Heat Navi, and her charge attack causes pillars of fire to erupt from under the ground.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The Red to Eva's Blue. Eva is very shy and physically weak, while E'Athanata is bold to the point of impulsiveness and has very high stats all around (apart from health).
  • Scarf of Asskicking: The raiments encircling E'Athanata could possibly count, being very similar to scarves in design.
  • Shock and Awe: While wearing her Scuttler-Type Armor, E'Athanata becomes an Elec Navi, and her charge attack causes lightning to fall from the sky.
  • Summon Magic:
    • She regularly summons all sorts of viruses in her battles, to the point that it is more rare for her 'not' to summon them.
    • With Kalaska'Agathas she summons Scuttles to attack and then power up her armor/abilities.

    Mei & WickerMan.EXE
"The road to darkness is paved with light, thus our darkest mistakes comes from the twilight of our crossing blades."
Mei Hitomi
"Aye."
WickerMan

Mei Hitomi

A young shrine maiden in charge of the Hitomi Shrine. She is said to be prophetic, but always seem to point towards nature and away from technology...
  • Aloof Dark-Haired Girl: Doesn't exactly make emotional connections with those she interacts with.
  • Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette: Served to make some visitors of her shrine weary of her. It doesn't help that she has mildly psychic powers, serving to enforce the trope even more. Though she's still admired for her beauty because of or in spite of this trope.
  • Paper Talisman: Uses one to hide her battle chips in the first round of the tournament.
  • Speaks in Shout-Outs: Mostly speaks in poems, proverbs, and famous quotes, but otherwise follows this trope pretty faithfully.

WickerMan.EXE

Mei's navi. A unique Wood/Heat hybrid navi, WickerMan is a quiet navi who will do anything for his operator, no matter the cost.
  • Bullet Seed: His buster is rapid-fire needles, like those of a cactus.
  • Fast Tunnelling: Falling Leaf has WickerMan tunnel through the ground at high speed before emerging behind his enemy.
  • Flaming Sword: Played with. Kurikara indeed becomes one of these if used in Inpachi form, but the fire slowly burns away the bamboo blade, destroying it after three attacks.
  • Heal It With Fire: Red Hitodama constantly regenerate a small amount of WickerMan's health.
  • Kill It with Fire: Subverted. While he will take heavy damage from fire attacks in his Treant form, his UnderShirt program will prevent the damage from deleting him as well as the fire shifting him to his Inpachi form.
  • Meaningful Name: His main form is a Wicker Man.
  • Petal Power: Leaf Ward uses leaves and petals to block attacks.
  • Set the World on Fire: Orange Hitodama turn any panel WickerMan steps on to lava. Druidic Punishment seals both WickerMan and his opponents in a ball of fire, which slowly closes in on both for massive damage.
  • Speaks in Shout-Outs: Rarely speaks outside of poems, proverbs, and famous quotes.
  • Technicolor Fire: In Inpachi form, WickerMan's entire body burns in different colors depending on his Hitodama. The Hitodama, in turn, grant special effects depending on the color.
  • Wooden Katanas Are Even Better: Kurikara is quite literally a bamboo sword, summoned by sacrificing a wood chip to "grow" the blade. Unless weakened by Inpachi form's flames, it can easily outlast the other swords of his opponents while doing just as much if not more damage.

    "Taka" & PuppetMan.EXE
"I hope you're ready; the show will begin soon..."
"Taka"
"You're just like all the rest; you see me, you want me gone. Now there's nothing left..."
PuppetMan

"Taka"

A mysterious individual and leader of HTTP.
  • The Chessmaster: Is very good at manipulating people.
  • Xanatos Gambit: Taka's plan for Catadioptre to invade Crystal Vision Studios is designed so that it was unlikely for him to come out at a disadvantage. It certainly hasn't stopped Quick from trying.

PuppetMan.EXE

A former Gamemaster Navi of a popular MMO, PuppetMan barely survived the Alpha Revolt, only to discover that his operator died in the tragedy. Alone and abandoned, PuppetMan was shunned and ostracized by net society. That, when combined with the corruptive influence of a Dark Chip, lead PuppetMan to become an insane monster who seeks the destruction of the net, himself included.

    Lars Maxwell & MailMan.EXE
"...I am one for the belief that just because something is old does not mean it should be replaced."
Mr. Maxwell
"It wasn't in the schedule, but for once I don't care."
MailMan

Lars Maxwell

Lars Maxwell was a former mailman before emails became too prevalent and his post office was closed. A writer, Mr. Maxwell would draw his inspiration from the handwriting of the letters he delivered. Now employed both as Eva's Butler and a high-ranked HTTP Officer, he seeks revenge on the system that took his muse from him.
  • Battle Butler: Is the personal butler of Eva Heurassein, and can put you in the ground if you threaten her in seven seconds.
  • Pursue the Dream Job: Originally, he was a writer with a day job delivering mail. Now, he is the personal butler to Eva, secretly a top officer in HTTP, and still delivers messages from time to time (usually when an electronic paper-trail would cause a problem), and he's still pursuing his dream of being a professional writer.

MailMan.EXE

Originally a program designed to help sort and send emails, MailMan was scheduled for deletion after saving a woman from a death-threat spammer. He escaped, and now seeks revenge on the system that betrayed him. He fights using letters that transform into various weapons.

    Daniel Kurista & StraightMan.EXE
"Why don't we battle among the glistening gemstones of my catalog?"
Daniel
"Don't worry, I aim to entertain! Battle-da!"
StraightMan

Daniel Kurista

A kind and fair jewelry salesman with a penchant for gambling. A major victory in college earned him the cash to open his own private jewelry store. His wife and daughter both fully support his business, though his wife wished he'd leave his gambling instincts in the past.
  • Family Business: Runs his jewelry store with the help of his wife and daughter.
  • Professional Gambler: Almost became this; if not for his wife, he could have ended up using the winnings from the StraightMan incident to make even more money, but instead swore off gambling (mostly) and instead opened his own jewelry store.
  • Shown Their Work: Lestroisrois made sure that when Daniel presented the Ruby Tear, the information about it (including its rough worth, where the items are from, etc.) are actually based on real life jewelry-crafting information.
"Ah, has the Ruby Tear caught your eye? The necklace is handcrafted in solid 12 karat yellow gold from a region in Northern Netopia. Embedded are 12 sparkling rubies of ½ carat each, with the 13th central ruby being 1.2 carats. It comes with a certificate of authentication, and a guarantee that the craftsmanship is solid; I'd know, since I made it myself. As for a lower price...how about we haggle a bit. The piece is worth 55000 zenny, but I might be able to drop the price a bit further..."

StraightMan.EXE

Daniel's partner. Originally a navi created to cheat at casino games, Daniel won him in a contest, freeing him from his imprisonment and giving him the freedom to choose. Named after the poker hand that won him his freedom. Uses a unique "Luck Token" system, which allows him to use his luck for various techniques.
  • Dead Man's Hand: Invoked. One of StraightMan's abilities allows him to drain his enemy's health using poison dust from playing cards. Guess what the attack is called.
  • Fixing the Game: Averted. After serving as a cheating device for a cruel operator, StraightMan has sworn to never cheat again, no matter the circumstance.
  • Luck Stat: As the battle continues, he gains more and more "Luck Counters" which, in addition to granting him special abilities and being used to fuel others, give him improved luck in combat, such as avoiding an attack or hitting just the right spot.
  • The Magic Poker Equation: In a pinch, StraightMan can sacrifice Luck Counters to activate abilities that can turn a battle around in an instant.
  • Verbal Tic: Several.
    • Often announces his presence by shouting "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN~!"
    • "Lucky~!"
    • At the start of a fight: "Battle-da!"
    • Additionally, his speech is constantly peppered with references to luck, gambling, and anything related to card games.

    Aerith & SaberMan.EXE
「だれだ *translation initiated* who issued a challenge?"
SaberMan

Aerith Kurista

Daughter of the jewelry salesman Daniel Kurista, Aerith is an upcoming netbattler with interesting and new ideas for how to fight. However, her lack of communication with her partner causes many of these ideas to fall flat on their heads. She is following in her father's footsteps, and is the one who made the pendant he is never seen without.
  • Daddy's Girl: Adores her father and wants to help him run his store by making jewelry, just like him.

SaberMan.EXE

A navi with almost no ranged capabilities. An honorable swordsman, he teaches other navis how to properly wield a sword. However, a glitch in his language software prevents him from speaking English.
  • Switch to English: Subverted. SaberMan literally cannot speak English due to a glitch in his translation software. Instead, his opponent needs to have translation software of their own or to share a language with him to understand his words.

     "Ice" & Canon.EXE
"Assess the threat level, then move to end hostilities as soon as possible."
"Ice"
"If you come in peacefully, there's a chance that you may survive. You can run, but I will catch you."
Canon

"Ice" McCoy

A high-level City-netbattler and a professional security/bodyguard. Outside of battle, he's a cheerful and kind young boy. In battle and when on duty, he's as serious as his nickname implies.
  • Law Enforcement, Inc.: Pallas Corp was founded by his parents, and is a corporation specializing in security and bodyguard work. Ice is very high ranked in the corporation without any influence from his parents; he earned a high position at age 7 my merit of his skills alone.
  • The McCoy: Complete coincidence, but one of the driving factors for Ice is that he feels the right choice is to help people.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: He is both in one being. When off duty/outside of a netbattle, Ice is a kind and caring individual who goes out of his way to help people. When on duty or in a netbattle, he is cold, calculating, and ruthless to his enemies.

Canon.EXE

Ice's Navi. A powerful navi with three different forms, each specialized for a different type of combat. Acts similarly to Ice, but with a mischievous streak and known to correct him when he acts informally.
  • Ambiguous Gender: Lestroisrois uses the pronouns "s/he" and "hir" to refer to Canon.
  • Bullethole Door: Played with. Canon does this in hir battle with Finny using a minimal number of shots, but Lestroisrois states Out of Character that the only reason for the low number of shots was for gameplay balance reasons.
  • Combat Stilettos: Mirror Canon has armored combat stilettos.
  • Counting Bullets: Canon possesses a limited ammunition with hir cannon for gameplay reasons, which (usually) maxes out at six.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Canon vs. Maw. Canon's tactics were so overwhelming that Maw's player became unable to figure out a plausible escape.
  • Death from Above: Many of Canon's attacks send something crashing down from above, including hirself.
  • Dramatic Gun Cock: In Canon's opening scene, s/he takes down some punk navis by just smacking hir cannon into them before pointing the barrel at the (pinned) leader's head and making an audible click before reaffirming that s/he has clearance to delete them.
  • Dual Wielding: Rhythmic Canon can transform hir cannon into a pair of pistols.
  • Flash Step: The speed's Canon can reach thanks to hir cannon propelling hir is pretty much this.
  • Ground Pound: One of Canon's ultimate attacks has hir send hirself high into the sky before dive-bombing and crashing into hir opponent, dealing massive damage and destroying the nearby area.
  • It Works Better with Bullets: Any attempt to use Canon's cannon by anyone else will fail. The cannon is effectively a part of hir, hence no one else can successfully wield it but hir.
  • Kinetic Weapons Are Just Better: Most Navis fire lasers from their busters or use elemental attacks or energy swords. Canon fires cannonballs.
  • Meaningful Name: Canon uses a Cannon as well as several attacks that respond to him hitting a target with hitting a target. Also, almost all of hir attacks hit multiple times in a row by doing the same thing over and over.
  • Muscles Are Meaningless: Despite a lack of muscle-tone, Canon single-handedly swings a cannon as big as s/he is around single handed.
  • No Range Like Point-Blank Range: Often, Canon will slam hir cannon into someone only to immediately follow up by shooting them.
  • Recoil Boost: Literally uses hir cannon to rocket around the battlefield, or into the skies above only to come crashing down on hir enemies.
  • Rocket Jump: Several attacks use the momentum of firing the cannon to launch Canon through the air, sometimes vertically.
  • Swiss-Army Weapon: As Rhythmic Canon, hir cannon can transform into dual pistols and back. Both forms are used as melee weapons is some way or another.
  • White Mask of Doom: Has yet to be seen without hir helmet on, which is white and for the most part featureless.

KamiPanda characters

    Hyper Delson & SnafuMan
  • Confusion Fu: SnafuMan's abilities use a lot of luck and randomness, with no real regard for friend or foe.
  • Crazy Enough to Work: Hyper plays an in-universe trading card game called NetGears. His decks are always ludicrous, but sometimes oddly effective. This also occasionally applies to his battling style.
  • Embarrassing First Name: Hyper's real name is Bertie, which is exactly why he calls himself Hyper.
  • Energy Weapon: SnafuMan's ultimate attack is a massive laser that he fires out from his hand, dealing way more damage than a navi like him should be able to do.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Snafuman's signature weapon is a massive syringe.
  • Kaleidoscope Hair: Hyper changes his hair colour every week, using a D12 to pick a dye.
  • Morph Weapon: SnafuMan's BugBaton can change shape reasonably freely, but only for use as a blunt weapon.
  • Random Number God: SnafuMan seems to end up with his least favourite bug, confusion, way more than he statistically should.
  • Summon Magic: As well as often using battlechips to summon viruses, SnafuMan has a few ways to summon them himself, sacrificing reliability for power.

Zachrow Teller, Murkman, Scourgeman & Hiveman
  • Drone Deployer: Hiveman's body is made entirely of floating modules that can act as drones.
  • Enemy Summoner: Murkman often brings along a collection of his custom viruses, and can also summon a small Darkling using his own power.
  • Mad Scientist: Murkman likes to experiment on things, regardless of the opinion of said things. He creates hybrid viruses just because he can and enjoys messing around with dark energy, even going as far as to make his own type of dark chips.
  • Obviously Evil: Murkman is quite clearly evil, and doesn't bother to hide this fact. The same goes for Scourgeman.
  • Reptiles Are Abhorrent: Scourgeman has a snake for an arm, likely the most notable feature about him. If his black armour didn't already tip you off, this guy's one of the bad ones.
  • The Quiet One: Zachrow tends not to say anything unless he has to.

    Alleyn Moore & CrushMan
  • Headphones Equal Isolation: Averted Trope; Alleyn generally wears headphones, keeping them around his neck when not in use, but uses them purely to listen to music and has no interest in shutting himself off from the world. CrushMan also always wears them on his head as part of his design, but can hear people perfectly well regardless.
  • Nerves of Steel: Alleyn is capable of keeping very calm in stressful situations, keeping his emotions intact but also keeping them under control as necessary.
  • Power Limiter: When CrushMan throws off his heavy stone armour, he becomes incredibly fast and even gains fancy teleportation abilities. The energy required to do so prevents him from staying like this for too long, however.
  • Rocket Punch: Crushman can detach his fists and send them flying at enemies.

    Matthäus, Dopple & Gänger
  • Grew a Spine: After a terrible event in his past, Matthäus has vowed to stop being so weak. He took up TaeKwonDo to help with this.
  • Literal Split Personality: Dopple and Gänger were once one navi, but were split in two, dividing up certain personality traits between themselves.
  • Multi-Melee Master: Dopple is skilled with most melee weapons, but can't used ranged ones that effectively.
  • Multi-Ranged Master: Gänger is skilled with most ranged weapons, but can't use melee ones that effectively.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Gänger has an energetic and abrasive personality, Dopple is calm and near-emotionless. Also, Gänger uses fire and Dopple uses ice.
  • Super Mode: Dopple and Gänger have powered up forms that take traits from their other half. They can also combine together temporarily for a third special form.
  • Twin Telepathy: Dopple and Gänger share a Hive Mind. They feel each other's pain and often alternate who's talking when constructing a sentence, going a step further than merely finishing the other's sentences.

QuickSmasher.EXE characters

    Leo Agronav and Astro Man
"Hey! I'm not very good at netbattling, or cooking, or socialiality, but that does not make me unintelligent!"
Leo
"If there exists a higher power over existence, it certainly despises me."
AstroMan

Leo Agronav was born in a remote Sharoan Village, which was notably only for it's observatory. At a very young age Agronav was infused with an interest in space due to inspiration from that observatory, setting the course of his life. Leo closed himself off from most of the world in order to study, and through his diligence received a scholarship to the fictional Sharo North Institute, graduating at 17 years of age. He's often traveling due to his position in the ISAF (International Space and Aeronautics Foundation), leading to his participation in a surprising number of Electopian escapades despite still living in Sharo with his parents.

AstroMan is a space-themed, non-humanoid hovering navi designed to be an intelligent assistant to Leo. Leo actually had minimal involvement in his design, since he never picked up on programming despite living in a version of the modern day where computers are even more prominent. Rather, AstroMan was made by a programming professor of Leo's High School, and most of his upkeep is either done with direct instruction or by others.

  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: Leo has trouble focusing on things which aren't star charts. Perfectly displayed when he misses E'Athanata's elaborate victory dance to get a coin.
  • The Klutz: Leo is an unskilled and clumsy person in just about every field.
  • No Social Skills: Leo's life of studying has left him without any social skills or experience, leading to his nervous, klutzy personality.
  • Shorter Means Smarter: Leo stands at 5 feet, 7 inches tall. This isn't that short, though compared to some other cast members, such as Quentin, he is notably shorter than one would expect.
  • The Smart Guy: Leo is an abnormally young university graduate, and his navi AstroMan was built to be an intelligent assistant for him. It's not hard to see that the two know there way around mathematics and chemistry. AstroMan has even shown himself to a be a sort of living calculator, and is so intelligent that he's still being used in the Star Force time period.

    Paris Belspark & ArcMan
"You and I can multitask; We have far more experience than either of them. They talk and act separately. Besides, your taunts have cost us the occasional victory."
Paris
"Hey, let's play a game! Hide and seek, you hide, I seek, and when I find you, I kill you!"
ArcMan

Mercenaries; combatants without loyalty, fighting for many causes, most often for money or ill-fated attempts at fame. But not these two. They value a challenge and the chance to improve over any amount of cash or credit. No doubt, these are two individuals you should reach for when you need something done that others won't or can't do.

The origin of Paris in unknown, though whatever it is it left him with an unrelenting desire to become the best at everything he sees as applicable. His navi ArcMan was programmed by him to exceed the canon navi ProtoMan's abilities, and was given electrical powers to paralyze his opponents and leave them open to sword strikes. The two will fight for any side if the challenge is good and can come out advantageous to them (and if it can be made advantageous, then it will be made advantageous), though more often then not end up working for the bad guys of a respective story.

  • Affably Evil: Paris can be a rather nice, if condescending person, despite his moral apathy.
  • Blood Knight: Both of them quite like fighting, and things which relate to it are favorites of theirs to improve upon.
  • Challenge Seeker: As stated, the two are constantly looking to improve themselves, mostly in combat, though Paris seeks to increase his ability in other fields as well.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Reading Paris's bio, he keeps anaesthetic gas, body armor, a first aid kit and actual weapons on hand at all times.
  • Combat Sadomasochist: A less sexual example, ArcMan is more... traditionally entertained by the exchange of blows, though he, as evidenced by his fighting style, far prefers to dodge attacks and taunt his enemies about their difficulty hitting him.
  • Comedic Sociopathy: ArcMan is never reluctant to remind us that he enjoys deleting things.
  • Fragile Speedster: ArcMan has less than 1/3 the health of your standard navi and no defensive programs, making him easily the most fragile of navis. He's also among the fastest and the most agile.
  • Glass Cannon: ArcMan isn't very resilient, but his high attack speed, paralyzing abilities and mobility make him a deadly combat, allowing him to dish out numerous hits to enemies before they can even think to scratch him.
  • Muscles Are Meaningless: ArcMan is a rather slim navi, but has some great strength. While he's hardly the strongest, the other super strong navis aren't bulky either.
  • Mysterious Watcher: One can find numerous instances of Paris observing characters in the DenCity Tournament.
  • Psycho Electro: ArcMan lacks the paranoia commonly associated with this trope, but makes up for it with his utter disregard for others and enthusiasm about violence, especially when using electricity, swords, or electric swords to do so.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: The two have ended up working both for Mr. Grey's organization and HTTP, but don't actually care about the goals of either.
  • Pungeon Master: The three things ArcMan does most enthusiastically are make jokes, usually electric puns, play Tetris, and delete things.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Paris is a cool, collected, calculating professional, where as ArcMan is a loud mouthed, unrefined psychopath.
  • Spider-Sense: ArcMan's Hunter Sense ability gives him 360 degree vision which works even while blinded and is used to help him avoid danger or deception.
  • Wicked Cultured: As a part of his 'become the best' quest, Paris has become a rather knowledgeable fellow.

    Ferrous Rhaspin & GuardMan
"I simply didn't want anything causing trouble, but...well, with the humbelium stolen, I obviously didn't do a very impressive job."
Ferrous
"Sorry to say this so much, but sorry!"
GuardMan

Not all knights wear shining armor, and not all heroes are well off. Ferrous was born in Creamland as a servant, but left his homeland and began wandering about aimlessly, mostly around Netopia. He's rarely, if ever, found outside of that continent. For some reason, he's not very popular with certain people and shuts himself off from others, though somehow keeps finding himself in fantastical situations.

GuardMan actually does wear shining armor, and is quite knightly; He has an unwavering adherence to the Code of Knights, a series of regulations for knights dating back to the age of feudalism. He is technically mute, though has a few alternative means of communication. These two aren't the kinds of people you'd reach for for a specific reason, but end up being dragged into numerous scenarios anyway.

  • Apologizes a Lot: GuardMan often does this during fights. Justified, given that he usually does this while swinging a club at his foes.
  • Barrier Warrior: GuardMan's abilities are mostly defensive, and his and Ferrous's preferred method of defense is barriers and auras. In addition, GuardMan's aura heads actually power up when he has a barrier or aura up.
  • Comically Serious: In Spark Versus GuardMan, Ferrous shoots down just about every attempt at humor Gavin makes in either anger or deadpan.
  • Cute Mute: GuardMan is a very short navi who can't communicate in a traditional manner, and is rather well liked by others for his clueless, optimistic demeanor.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: Seed Panel is an attack which causes vines to rip out chunks of ground to attack.
  • The Ditz: If one can get GuardMan to open up, it becomes quite apparent that he's one of the most immature, apologetic imbeciles in history.
  • The Drifter: Ferrous is outright called a drifter in his biography.
  • Green Thumb: GuardMan can summons vines and wooden skewers as a part of his fighting abilities.
  • Mighty Glacier: GuardMan is a defense-oriented navi who also possess some potent ways to attack, but is slowed down by his arm and some of his weapons are rather heavy as well, making them slower than their counterparts.
  • Orphan's Ordeal: A large part of Ferrous's currently hidden backstory was set in motion by the death of his parents.
  • Perpetual Poverty: The two are homeless wanderers, and appropriately rarely have much money.
  • Telepathy: GuardMan communicates though a Telecommunications ability, which is very much like telepathy.

    Emeka Inyeaka & SystemMan
"Ah, nevermind, that's not a very Christian thing to say."
Emeka
"Well, that's odd..."
SystemMan

  • Powers as Programs: SystemMan's abilities take full advantage of this, as they consist primarily of bugging or copying the programs of his enemies.
  • Real Men Love Jesus: The two are uncompromising Christians.

    Sorean Skyward & Breakman.EXE

"Heh. If you're gonna get the wrong idea, get it when I hit you"
Breakman.EXE

Sorean, at the time of his creation, was one of the only adults, especially since he was in his early thirties. Known for his snarking about ideas.

Breakman is known for throwing sarcastic remarks and tons of unnecessary speculation and dialogue, just to get on people's nerves.

  • Berserk Button: Sorean has elfism, a fictional disease that is like dwarfism, but makes the victim have more androgynous features and they have a longer life expectancy. Basically, Sorean is short and looks like a high school girl with his physique. Go ahead and point it out to him if you want. See where it gets you.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Sorean and Breakman are full of snark. Especially towards each other. They have been known to stop a conversation with others just to sarcastically remark to each other for a while. Sorean is more to the point and bursts bubbles, while Breakman is more sarcastic and snide with his remarks.
  • Dude Looks Like a Lady: Sorean has elfism, which gives him more androgynous features. Combine that with his long, well-kept hair, and he could easily be confused for a high school girl.
  • Having a Blast: Despite being a Break-element navi, Breakman wields many attacks that cause large explosions and destruction.
  • Running Gag: Breakman has many of these, such as constantly messing up E'Athanata's name (purposefully) to get a rise out of her, and referring to Astroman as 'Astroboy', which, while he means it endearingly, gets on Astroman's nerves.
  • Verbal Tic: Breakman begins or ends most sentences with "Heh."

    Montana Fugyo & MagmaMan

"You've got a life, and I've still got magma in my body. Let's fix both of these problems."
MagmaMan
"I thought you were fire element, not sass element."
Montana

MagmaMan is a member of an old generic line from the very early days of navis, updated slightly by Montana, mostly just to make him compatible and combat capable.

Montana is a bookworm, near-broke, and really just an all-around nerd, glasses and everything. She bought MagmaMan in a discount navi shop on the cheap, but due to how old he was there were some updates needed. It was only after spending the money to make these updates did she realize just how little money this saved her.

  • Deadpan Snarker: Mostly to each other, but they do their fair share of snarking towards other people too.
  • Heroic RRoD: In the TornadoMan fight, MagmaMan takes one two many hits and starts falling apart, it all mostly happening instantly, though it does take a few seconds for some of the affected things to shut down.
  • The Nicknamer: MagmaMan, finding something to call anyone he talks to for an extended amount of time.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: While during battles the two seem to be rather irritable towards each other, some interactions show that they're pretty friendly most of the time.
