Lucella Police Department

    Player
First appearance: "House - Chapter 1"
The main protagonist of Books 1 and 2. They are a member of the police department who were tasked with investigating the disappearance of Georgie Piggy and have been working to find a cure to the infection after finding out about it.
  • Great Detective: As revealed in a note within the player’s bedroom in Book 2 Chapter 4, nearly every single investigation they’ve been on has been solved.
  • The Hero: Of Books 1 and 2, being the main playable character for both.
  • The Immune: Turns out they’re entirely immune to getting infected, though as stated by the Player themselves in the journal entry for the Savior route of Book 2 Chapter 10, they still aren’t immune to pain and do need to watch out whenever they come across an infected even with their immunity.
  • Logical Weakness: Just because they’re immune to being infected doesn’t mean they’re immune to the VERY lethal weapons a lot of infected use. Thus, they still need to watch out when encountering an infected.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: Being the user’s roblox avatar, they can design them to be this.
  • Plot Armor: Have frequently survived multiple times when they should have gotten infected logically, like getting attacked by Penny at the House or being given a potion by Pony in the Forest. This ends up being justified, as TIO reveals to them that they’re immune to the infection completely.
  • Token Human: Depending on how you style your avatar, the player can end up as this. Lampshaded by Zuzy in Chapter 10 of Book 1.
Zuzy: [Player Username] looks pretty funny-
  • Zombie Infectee: They're implied to have become infected and have killed Mr. P in the Bad Ending of book 1, though this ending is non-canon.

    Doggy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doggy_1_5.png
"Listen, [Player]. You're a good person. Even in desperate times, you held onto your morality. It's the people like you that succeed. As long as you stay where you are, you'll get to where you need to be."
Click here to see him in police uniform.
Click here to see him infected.
First appearance: "Station - Chapter 2"
Another police officer with the Player at Lucella Police Department.

    Poley
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/poley_1.png
Click here to see him infected.
First appearance: "Plant - Chapter 12" (Pictured), "Refinery - Chapter 3" (Physical)
A police officer at Lucella Police Department.
  • The Bad Guys Are Cops: He serves as the antagonist of the Heist chapter, due to Willow and Pony being the main characters there.
  • Bears Are Bad News: He serves as the Hero Antagonist of Heist.
  • Red Herring Shirt: His skin was added as part of the crossover with Jailbreak long before he was introduced as a character, leading many to believe he was simply a non-canon skin. Turns out that he was canon and quite important (see Small Role, Big Impact below).
  • Small Role, Big Impact:
    • He physically appears as an infected for a few seconds at the end of Refinery. He also scratches and infects Zizzy in those few seconds.
    • A quick flashback in Heist reveals that he was infected at the Station and dropped the cell key while stumbling past Willow's cell, allowing her to escape.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: He gets infected very quickly when the infection spreads, and the player never even directly meets him.

The Safe Place

    Zizzy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zizzy.png
"It's just a scratch, Zizzy... get a hold of yourself."
First appearance: "Carnival - Chapter 8"
The tritagonist of Book 1 and a major character in Book 2. She is one of the two leaders of the Safe Place and seemingly the love interest of Pony.
  • And I Must Scream: Gets scratched by an infected Poley in Chapter 3 of Book 2, which leads to her likely getting infected.
  • And Now for Someone Completely Different: Is the main playable character in the "Distraction" chapter.
  • Face Death with Dignity: After finding out she got scratched by an infected, she hugs Pony one final time and tells Pony and the Player that she’ll create a distraction before she turns.
  • Implausible Fencing Powers: Wields a fencing post and can stun Piggy with only a few stabs from it.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Her infected counterpart has red eyes and wields a fencing post, a fairly lethal weapon. We don't get to see this in Book 2 however.
  • Ship Tease: With Pony. He seems to try confessing feelings to her while fighting the soldiers in Chapter 11 of Book 1, they both hug in Chapter 3 of Book 2, and he tells her during the end cutscene of Distraction that her picture keeps him going through rough times.

    Pony
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pony_2.png
"I hate to ruin the moment, but... where do we go from here?"
First appearance: "Carnival - Chapter 8"
The deuteragonist of Books 1 and 2. He is a former member of The Silver Paw who left after doing… something. He and Zizzy would later end up joining the player.
  • Deuteragonist: Has the second most appearances behind the Player, appearing in 17 chapters against the 24.
  • A Dog Named "Dog": He’s a pony named… Pony.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Is revealed to have had one of these after being forced by Willow to give a potion to the player and Doggy.
  • Only One Name: His name seems to just be Pony.
  • Ship Tease: With Zizzy. He seems to try confessing feelings to her while fighting the soldiers in Chapter 11 of Book 1, they both hug in Chapter 3 of Book 2, and he tells her during the end cutscene of Distraction that her picture keeps him going through rough times.
  • Wham Line: No matter which continuity you do it in, him revealing to the player that he was the one who gave Doggy the potion always qualifies as this.

    Georgie Piggy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/georgie_9.png
"Will I see my family again...?"
First appearance: "House - Chapter 1" (mentioned), "Mall - Chapter 10" (physically)
The youngest child in the Piggy family who had fled to the Mall due to his family’s infection and joined The Safe Place after being found by the Player and Zizzy.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: Is this with Zee and Zuzy. Downplayed however as he isn’t treated as such.
  • Baker Street Regular: Helps the player defeat Mr. P during the final chapter of Book 1.
  • Chekhov's Gunman: Initially he was just the reason the Player discovered the infection due to his disappearance, then once he reappears in Chapter 10 of Book 1, he ends up becoming the tritagonist of the whole series.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: His entire family got infected with him being the only one who survived.
  • Greater-Scope Paragon: In a way could be seen as this for the series, as his disappearance was the reason the player discovered the infection.
  • Last of His Kind: So far seems to be the only non-infected pig character in the series, he is also the only member of his family who isn’t infected.
  • Walking Spoiler: The reveal he’s still alive is what sparks the start of the series’ Kudzu Plot, and even then it’s still the biggest reveal from when it was revealed.

    Zee and Zuzy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/twins_68.png
Left to right: Zee and Zuzy
First appearance: "Mall - Chapter 10"
Zizzy’s younger twin sisters who also practice fencing. They’re also members of the Safe Place.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: Zee is shown to be much more intelligent than Zuzy, having both better grammar and spelling in her diary and properly paying attention in class when Zuzy is messing around in the credits of Book 2.
  • Irony: Zuzy considers Mimi’s lessons to be boring as she already knows how to write, yet she has multiple misspellings in her diary.
  • Misspelling Out Loud: Downplayed as she never says it out loud, but Zuzy’s spelling is revealed to be absolutely abysmal via her diary.
  • The Voiceless: Zee says anything at all, not even making any sound when attacking Piggy.

    Mimi
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mimi_45.png
"We shouldn't have met with the group. You were right to be suspicious of it... we were wrong."
First appearance: "Mall - Chapter 10"
A scientist who works with the Safe Place.
  • Colorblind Confusion: Inverted. A note in her room reveals her to be colorblind, but other than that it’s never brought up.
  • The Professor: The scientist of the Safe Place.

    Giraffy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/giraffy.png
"We'll be fine, [Player]. I think you should focus on what you're gonna do next."
First appearance: "Mall - Chapter 10"
A former camp councelor at the Forest who works with the Safe Place.
  • The Big Guy: The player describes him as a tough guy within their journal.
  • Hidden Depths: Has a passion for nature and ecology.
  • Nature Lover: The player’s journal says he has a passion for nature and ecology and loves plants.
  • Put on a Bus: He gets shot and wounded at the end of Sewers, before leaving the group at the end of Factory to heal up under the care of either Mimi or the Silver Paw members depending on which ending the Player got.

The Silver Paw

    Willow
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/willow_87.png
"Take them with us. We'll keep them all in one place where we can control what they do."
First appearance: "Alleys - Chapter 1"
One of the two main antagonists of the series. She is a criminal and the leader of The Silver Paw.
  • Arch-Enemy: To Pony.
  • Boss Remix: Her main theme is a rock instrumental remix of The Untold Story.
  • Big Bad Ensemble: Is the most personal enemy of the group and Pony in particular, and thus shares the role with Mr. P. She also shares the role with Tigry in Book 2, being the main antagonist of the first half of the book.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: She deeply cares about her brother William, saying “This one’s for you, William” before shooting Giraffy and says that if William was infected, she’d cure him, and if he wasn’t, the two would find safety.
  • Freudian Excuse: Hooooo boy, where to begin.
    • Her parents were arrested when she was only a child, and thus she and her brother William were taken in by Daisy.
    • Daisy however would then need to leave for Military service, thus causing Willow to need to steal food to feed her and her brother.
    • Her brother would then leave for unknown reasons, presumably to find Daisy.
    • And finally she would get arrested by the Player and Doggy for stealing food to feed her and her brother.
  • Heel–Face Turn: After realising Zizzy had sisters.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: After finding out Zizzy had sisters, she apologises for getting Zizzy infected and pulls a Heel–Face Turn.
  • Wouldn't Hurt a Child: Downplayed. She is fine with putting Georgie in a cell to rot, but otherwise she never seems to hurt children.

    Tigry
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tigry.png
"There was once a time that I was scared of you. Now, I'm finally going to stand up for myself."
First appearance: "Store - Chapter 2"
One of the two main antagonists of Book 2. He is a former member of The Silver Paw who is trying to get the cure to the infection to cure a friend.
  • Abusive Parents: One of his notes and the ending of Breakout states his parents were never proud of him.
  • Affably Evil: Politely offers to the player to join him, and doesn’t even get mad once they refuse.
  • Anti-Villain: It’s hard to even call him a villain. His reason for stealing Willow’s boat is solely to get the cure to save a friend of his rather than nefarious intent. He also doesn’t seem to have any ill will towards the Safe Place.
  • Dangerous Deserter: The True Ending reveals that he deserted the military before the events of the main game.
  • Dragon Ascendant: After Willow’s Heel–Face Turn, he becomes the main antagonist of the second half of Book 2.
  • Freudian Excuse: He had suffered from constant bullying in both school and likely in the Silver Paw. He also suffered from Abusive Parents who were never proud of him no matter what he did. Alongside all this, during his time in the military, he accidentally murdered one of his comrades thanks to TIO’s manipulation.
  • Heel–Face Turn: If you decide to help him in Book 12 Chapter 12, and in the Hidden Ending as well.

Mr. P and Related Characters

    Bunny
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bunny_1_7.png
"Go now... I'll hold off those monsters off for long as I can."
Click here to see her infected.
First appearance: "School - Chapter 5"
One of Mr. P's friends and a temporary ally of the Player.
  • And Then John Was a Zombie: She drinks an infective potion offscreen just before chapter 6 and turns some point after chapter 7.
  • Righteous Rabbit: She assists the Player and actively confronts the infected Beary.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: After she gets infected and abandoned in the metro, her story is never touched upon again, though the credits of book 1 show that she indeed was infected and has turned.
  • Zombie Infectee: She's given a potion offscreen just before chapter 6, and spends the majority of chapter 7 slowly turning.

    Mr. P
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mr_p_1.png
"I'll fight the infected until I drop, it's time I try to redeem myself."
Click here to see his robotic form.
First appearance: "Forest - Chapter 4" (voice), "School - Chapter 5" (physical)
One of the two main antagonists of the series. He is a famous billionaire and the accidental creator of the infection.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: He wanted more than anything to save his wife from her terminal illness. His potion succeeded in this, albeit by turning her into a rabid killer with glowing red eyes.
  • Big Bad: As the creator of the Piggy virus, he is the one who caused the entire plot.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: He deeply loves his late wife, with the reason he caused the infection to begin with being a faulty attempt to make a cure to her disease.
  • Freudian Excuse: He never even intended to cause the infection, only causing it after giving a faulty cure to his wife to save her from a disease. The journal entry for the Mr. P’s Lab event even implies he was simply tricked into using it by TIO.
  • Heel–Face Turn: After the player gives him a photo of Ms. P in Chapter 12 of Book 1.
  • I See Dead People: He at first believes that this is the case and that the Player and Georgie are hallucinations of dead people come to haunt him (though he does have good reason to believe both are dead).
  • Jerkass Has a Point: He dismisses the Player and Georgie as Hallucinations of people who are dead come back to haunt, but he can't be faulted for believing they're dead due to the Player having been confirmed to have the infection in them and Georgie last being seen at the house of the Patient Zero.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: All his crimes of causing the infection are completely by accident.
  • Purple Is Powerful: His redesign is made to look like a sweet potato, and he’s the Big Bad of the series.
  • Sanity Slippage: By the point of Chapter 11, he’s entirely gone off the rails and just assumes the player and Georgie are Hallucinations.
  • Uncertain Doom: The end cutscene of Chapter 12 of Book 1 implies he may have been infected, but there is otherwise no confirmation of this, and on top of that, his cybernetic implants prevent him from being infected.
  • Walking Spoiler: He appears for a few moments at the end of chapter 5. Upon the end of chapter 7, it's revealed that he is secretly the Big Bad of book 1. Then the end of chapter 12 reveals he isn't evil at all and never meant for any of this to happen, with him electing to hold off the infected at the outpost and lab as part of his Heel–Face Turn.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: A lot of his crimes were in attempts to create a cure to the infection (and initially, his wife’s disease).

An engineer and friend of Mimi's from Doveport.
  • Absent-Minded Professor: As Mimi says, he's brilliant, but his priorities and understanding of the world are a little lacking.
  • Insult Backfire: Willow calls his work a massive tin can. He misunderstands and begins to highlight its positive sides, unintentionally insulting her back.
  • Workaholic: He refuses to take a break from his lab work, even when there's a Zombie Apocalypse going on outside his front door.

    Robby
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/robby_1.png
First appearance: "Docks - Chapter 9"
A robot built by Kona.
  • Big Brother Instinct: He pulls back Zee, Zuzy and Georgie from entering the military Camp, as his programming directs him to protect children.
  • Good Counterpart: Kona reveals that this friendly Robby was the original, and that the bloodthirsty chainsaw wielding one is a modified version created by someone else.
  • The Immune: He's this to the infection, as he's a robot and thus has no blood or brain for the infection to control.
  • Jump Scare: Accidentally gives one to the Player in-universe by jumping out at them when they approach Kona's lab.
  • Significant Name Overlap: He carries the same name as the aggressive Mall security robot the Player encountered much earlier in the game, though he's much friendlier.

  • Viewer Gender Confusion: Word of God says Budgey's a female, with her design and lack of voice acting not making it obvious in the game.

  • Sinister Swine: She's infected and serves as the secondary enemy of City.

  • Glowing Eyelights of Undeath: Her left pupil glows purple.
  • Handicapped Badass: She's implied to have no legs, yet still easily kills the player.

Insolence Creatures

The Insolence in general (MASSIVE UNMARKED SPOILERS)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/a5c20200_7ca8_4040_845b_2b4fc0804812.png
The Insolence Watches…
A cult operating in the Lucella sewers that’s lead by and worships a mysterious entity known as “the Eye”, defined by their unique orange eyes when infected. Their goals are ambiguous, though they seem to be seeking to prolong the infection by preventing the cure from being made, most likely due to their leader.
  • Apocalypse Cult: A cult that worships the franchise’s Greater-Scope Villain and seeks to stop the infection from being cured.
  • Prophet Eyes: In the rare case when an Insolence member or creature doesn’t have orange eyes, they instead have white ones. This is best displayed with the Sentinels and Ombra.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Downplayed. The group’s membership is signified by them having orange eyes when infected.

    Elly
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/elly_7.png
First appearance: "City - Chapter 9"
An infected elephant found in the City.
  • Cruel Elephant: She's the main antagonist of City. The Hidden Ending also implies she’s a member of the Insolence, as she’s among the infected TIO sends to stop the Safe Place from obtaining the cure.
  • Glowing Eyelights of Undeath: Her pupils glow orange.

    Alfis
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/alfis.png
First appearance: "Sewers - Chapter 5"
An infected alligator found inside the Sewers under the Silver Paw's Factory.
  • Glowing Eyelights of Undeath: His pupils glow orange.
  • Never Smile at a Crocodile: He's an alligator, and is also infected and seemingly connected with the Insolence.
  • Pipe Pain: He bashes a rusty pipe against the Player as his weapon.
  • Undying Loyalty: Assuming he wrote the note in the classroom, he’s so devoted to The Insolence’s god that he will remain in the sewers even if it gets flooded.

    Kolie
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kolie.png
First appearance: "Factory - Chapter 6"
An infected Factory worker from the Sewers.
  • Glowing Eyelights of Undeath: His pupils glow orange and green.
  • Offscreen Teleportation: He supposedly crawled out of the Sewers through the grate cover. He makes no appearance at all in the previous chapter, in which the Player was actually in the Sewers.

    Friend
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/friend_7.png
First appearance: "Port - Chapter 7"
A...creature...from a building in the Port.
  • All There in the Manual: It has no given name in-game. "Friend" is just what it's titled in the game's files.
  • Berserk Button: Clicking the orange eyes around the Port and then knocking on its door will cause it to run out and kill you.
  • Cartoon Creature: It's humanoid in-appearance, but clearly isn't, and has an all black body and glowing facial features.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: It comes out to kill the Player if they knock on its door after touching several orange eyes.
  • Humanoid Abomination: It's vaguely humanoid in-appearance, yet is clearly demonic and runs full speed to kill its target.
  • Schmuck Bait: Go ahead. Click those orange eyes. Unlike Umbra, it will almost never end well for you.
  • You Are Already Dead: It's far too fast to outrun, and if it spawns whoever it's closest to is a goner.

    Markus
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/markus.png
First appearance: "Docks - Chapter 9"
An infected moose found in the Docks, with clear traces of the Insolence.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: A note in Docks implies he wasn’t a member of the Insolence like a lot of other infected, and his current state was caused by this.
  • Devil's Pitchfork: He stabs the Player and Pony with a pitchfork to attack them.
  • Glowing Eyelights of Undeath: His eye glows orange while his pupil is black.
  • Secret A.I. Moves: As a bot in Docks, he can teleport around the map. He can't do it as a skin, and player Piggies can't teleport on Docks either.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: At first, he doesn't seem very significant aside from being a member of the Insolence. However, depending on whether he successfully infects Pony or not, he essentially plays a vital role in Act 2's Multiple Endings.
  • Straight for the Commander: After Pony snaps and attacks Markus, the latter stabs the former and leaves him on the ground.
  • Teleportation: He can teleport around the Docks area using purple portals that he conjures from mid-air.

    Umbra / Crawling Trap
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/umbra_0.png
First appearance: "Docks - Chapter 9" (Non-canon), "Lab - Chapter 12" (Canon)
One of the Insolence's many creatures.

    Delta
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/delta_8.png
First appearance: "Camp - Chapter 11"
One of the infected members of the military Camp.
  • BFG: He uses a bazooka to blast the Player upon catching them.
  • Cartoon Creature: His mask and body armour obscure what he is, exposing only a tiny bit of mahogany fur at the back of his head.
  • Glowing Eyelights of Undeath: His eye glows orange while his pupil is dark.
  • There's No Kill like Overkill: Even by death standards, his execution animation is very brutal, consisting of him firing a bazooka at point-blank range,.

First appearance: "Camp - Chapter 11"
The infected soldiers at the military Camp.
  • Added Alliterative Appeal: All of their names start with the same letter as their species: Porter the pig, Eloise the elephant, Mary the mouse, and Ben the bear.
  • Armies Are Evil: They're all military soldiers, and yet are infected and thus chase the player with fatal intent.
  • Glowing Eyelights of Undeath: All of them have orange pupils and dark coloured eyes.
  • Noodle Incident: Notes around the Camp reveal the infected broke in when they weren't expecting them and took the Camp by surprise, leading to all members needing to hide. By the time the Player arrives, they're all infected.

    The Twins
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/twins_7.png
First appearance: "Distraction"
Evil hallucinations of Zee and Zuzy created to torment Zizzy.

    Sentinels
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sentinel_3.png
A white Sentinel.
First appearance: "Plant - Chapter 12" (Non-canon), "Distraction" (Canon)
Minions of TIO sent to do its bidding.
  • Palette Swap: Besides the colour of their stripes, eyes and fingers, they all look identical.
  • Rainbow Motif: The colour of their stripes, eyes and fingers vary a large amount, with one variant for almost the entire rainbow. The skin version also cycles through the rainbow colours.
  • Sinister Swine: Their head is clearly modelled after that of a pig's, and they're also evil Mooks of TIO.

    Ombra / Shadow Tiger
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ombra.png
Click here to see its red form.
Click here to see its purple form.
First appearance: "Breakout"
A massive Mental Monster tiger of Tigry's.
  • The Dog Bites Back: After hunting Tigry down all through out the basement, he ends the encounter by finding a knife and stabbing it to death.
  • Mental Monster: It's a personification of Tigry's war trauma, and doesn't actually exist.
  • Panthera Awesome: It's one of the largest entities in the game, and will lunge towards the player to kill them.
  • What Could Have Been: Ombra's model initially had whiskers on it, yet they "fell off" during the model's development, and the error wasn't noticed until it was too late.
  • Whoosh in Front of the Camera: It does this to the player when they first enter the basement.

    The Hand
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_hand.png
First appearance: "Breakout"
A mysterious human-like hand in Tigry's hallucination.
  • Mook Maker: If the player stands on its tile in the classroom for too long, it'll summon a purple version of Ombra to kill them.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: It slowly stalks the player and sends them back to the start of its room if it catches them.

The Insolence's Deity (ALL SPOILERS UNMARKED)

TIO/The Iniquitous One

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tio_1.png
"You know Zizzy... I was once living in your world. I was young and quiet..."
Click here to see his distorted form.
First appearance: "Temple - Chapter 10"
A mysterious entity who makes deals with others and uses people’s memories against them. The Greater-Scope Villain of the whole series.
  • Arch-Enemy: Becomes this to the player by the end of Book 2, having been psychologically tormenting them throughout both Books and constantly attempting to get them to join him.
  • Author Avatar: Seems to be this for MiniToon, given how he has a similar style of clothing to MiniToon’s Internet persona and is the Greater-Scope Villain.
  • Dark Messiah: He’s the god of The Insolence, an Apocalypse Cult who actively seek to stop the cure from being released to the public.
  • Faux Affably Evil: Talks relatively politely even when he’s about to become an Eldritch Abomination.
  • Fighting Down Memory Lane: His signature weapon is using people’s memories against them. The Player ends up exploiting this in the Hidden Ending by using the fact they’re in their memories to defeat TIO.
  • Freudian Excuse Denial: While he may have been incredibly lonely in the real world and had been banished to his current realm, he states he’s “more than he ever once was” in Distraction, proving he doesn’t consider his tragedy a proper one.
  • Fun with Acronyms: The Inquitious One.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: The journal entry for the Mr. P’s Lab event implies he was the one who convinced Mr. P to test Substance-128, kickstarting the whole infection. He’s also the cause of the hallucinations characters have been experiencing throughout the series, and thus the cause of Mr. P’s slow descent into insanity.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: His main weapon is using people’s memories against them as a form of psychological torment. The player however exploits this by summoning memories of their friends to take TIO down.
  • Humanoid Abomination: He seems to appear human, but is capable of somehow interacting with the characters' fates, such as talking to Zizzy while she is almost succumbing to the infection just before she is taken away, implying her symbolism into (possibly) becoming of the infected. He also has a stitched face for some reason. It's implied he was like that because of a betrayal of a former friend who he came to resemble and got exiled to another dimension for. His form as the True Final Boss is more of an Eldritch Abomination.
  • Hypocrite: In the Hidden Ending, he calls out Mr. P’s failures... despite the fact that he was the one who caused the infection to begin with.
  • I Have Many Names: He states TIO is only one of the names he’s called, with some of the other names he goes by including The Entity, The Insolent and The Iniquitous One.
  • It's All About Me: Given that he founded a cult that worships himself, it’s safe to say he may have at least some form of ego.
  • Logical Weakness: Since the memories he uses to make his illusions are the Player’s, not his, the Player is able to freely manipulate them to their pleasure, and this is exactly how he’s defeated.
  • Mad Scientist: He presumably experimented on Marley Russell, explaining his appearance.
  • Manipulative Bastard: As stated in Glenn’s lore, he doesn’t even honor the deals he makes. He also managed to successfully trick Tigry into accidentally killing his own comrade and friend Danny.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: Unlike other characters, he uses the r15 rig, and looks like an rthro pack rather than a normal Roblox character like every other character.
  • Not-So-Well-Intentioned Extremist: He claims he is doing all of his actions out of a belief that free will is destructive. However, his actions towards this belief (causing a global infection which traps people in an And I Must Scream fate) are even more destructive than what he believes free will to be.
  • Purple Is Powerful: His hat and clothes are purple, and he’s the True Final Boss of Book 2.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Downplayed. His eye is orange, and he’s the Greater-Scope Villain.
  • Secondary Color Nemesis: He has a purple top hat with an orange flower, a purple tuxedo and the signature orange eye of the Insolence.
  • True Final Boss: The main enemy of the Hidden ending in Book 2.
  • Uncertain Doom: While it seems he was killed by the Player in the hidden ending, the post credits scene implies that the whole thing may be yet another memory being created by TIO, thus implying he’s still active.
  • The Unreveal: We still know very little about him. We know he can manipulate people’s memories, he was banished to the realm he currently resides in by “a friend from beyond” and that his name is TIO.
  • Walking Spoiler: Him and the Insolence are the reason the Kudzu Plot of Piggy started spiralling out of control after Book 2 Chapter 4, to the point where if we tagged his section like normal, we’d have to blank out the whole thing.
  • Wham Line: Him revealing to the player that they’re immune to the infection definitely qualifies as this.

Miscellanous Villains

    Zompiggy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zompiggy.png
First appearance: "Metro - Chapter 7"
A zombie-like pig found in the Metro.

    Robby
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/robby_8.png

A mall security robot with a violent tendency.

    Torcher
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/torcher.png
First appearance: "Outpost - Chapter 11"
A soldier in the Outpost.
  • Ambiguous Situation: Due to the mask he wears covering his eyes, there's no way of telling if he's infected or not. He noticeably never speaks or displays strong intelligence, but his suit has no tears on it by which he would have been infected, and he seems to have enough cognitive ability to maneuver around the Outpost and operate a flamethrower.
  • Artificial Stupidity: Despite none of the stairwells around the Outpost having banisters, he will always climb up and down stairs without ever jumping off them. This makes him quite easy to escape from.
  • Captain Ersatz: His mask, weapon, and career are all strikingly similar to the Pyro from Team Fortress 2. He even uses one of the Pyro's voice lines as his killing sound.
  • Fire-Breathing Weapon: He carries a small handheld flamethrower around and uses it to torch the Player if he catches them.
  • Kill It with Fire: His weapon is a flamethrower, which he bakes the Player with if he catches them.

    Memory
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/memory_8.png
First appearance: "Distorted Memory"
A dark creature from Georgie's nightmare.
  • Grayscale of Evil: It's entirely black and grey, and also acts as a monster of Georgie's dream.
  • Mental Monster: It only appears inside Georgie's nightmare during his stay at the Mall.
  • Sinister Swine: It appears to be some kind of pig, and also tries to attack Georgie during his dream.

    Frostiggy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/frostiggy.png
First appearance: "Winter Holiday"
An ice pig that appears around Christmas.
  • Defeat Means Playable: It's the main threat in the Winter Holiday chapter. Beating said chapter unlocks it as a usable skin.
  • Improbable Weapon User: It attacks the Player with a spiked bat made out of solid ice.
  • Mental Monster: Implied to be one of the Player, as everyone claims to have seen nothing when the Player tells them of their encounter with it.
  • Sinister Swine: It's a pig based ice creature. It also tries to attack the Player.

    Duocara
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/duocara.png
First appearance: "Mansion"
A mysterious robot found in the Mansion.
  • Acoustic License: Likely so they know what it's doing, the player will always be able to hear the click of its face turning, regardless of where they are in the Mansion.
  • Artificial Stupidity: It has no programmed pathfinding when actively chasing someone, and so will try to move right through staircase banisters and tables if a player it's pursuing is behind it.
  • Can't Move While Being Watched: It follows this behaviour when it has its blue face. If the player looks away then it will attack.
  • Defeat Means Playable: It's the main threat in the Mansion chapter. Beating said chapter unlocks it as a usable skin.
  • Don't Look At Me: It follows this behaviour when it has its red face. If the player looks at it then it will attack.
  • Logical Weakness: Because its behaviour actively relies on the behaviour of its current target, it can only target one player at a time.
  • Stepford Smiler: It has a large smile on its red face, despite being hostile.
