• Based on a Dream: MiniToon has stated that both Memory and Laura were based on some of his nightmares.
• Demand Overload: The release of Book 2's first chapter caused Roblox to go down for a few hours.
• Similarly Named Works: Shares a name with the 2022 Spanish horror film Piggy (or at least, the name in English).
• Sleeper Hit: MiniToon didn't expect the game to do nearly as well as it did, as he initially worked on it as a joke based on poorly made horror games he found on Roblox (such as "18+ DO NOT PLAY" games or "Survival the X the Killer"). Fast forward to today and the game has become one of Roblox's biggest Cash Cow Franchises.
• Spoiled by the Merchandise:
  • The Willow plush toy had red eyes, revealing that's what her infected pupil colour was long before the playable skin of her released.
  • Not long after the True Ending for "Lab" was released, a UGC item titled the TIO Face was released onto the catalog, spoiling those that didn't finish the first half of the second part of the True Ending.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Before Mall - Chapter 10 came out, Mousy was originally going to appear uninfected, as the character who the Player and Zizzy find behind the barricaded door. However, when it came out, Georgie replaced Mousy, and Mousy became a bot in Mall - Chapter 10's vents.
  • Parasee was originally going to be the bot for the Distorted Memory map. However, the bot was later changed into Memory to fit the map's name.
  • MiniToon initially said that Doggy's shirt would change to orange for the redesign, which never happened.
  • Teacher was originally to be redesigned to include a blue dress, but this was replaced by a green one in the final release of the redesign.
  • Originally, Katie's mask was going to cover her nose. MiniToon removed this as he thought it was too "derpy".
  • There were originally going to be two extra animations for the Alfis bot from Sewers - Chapter 5. These consist of him jumping into and exiting from the sewage water.
  • In response to a tweet from someone showcasing some unused animations for Alfis (already mentioned above) MiniToon replied that, while they were not finished for Sewers - Chapter 5, a similar mechanic would be used for bot of Port - Chapter 7. However, this did not end up being the case.
  • The carnival was planned to be harder than before, but this never happened to this day.
  • Kraxicorde was originally going to have two eyes, a darker shade of blue, and less detail. However, TenuousFlea scrapped this early design and made Kraxicorde having three eyes instead and gave more details to his appearance.
  • While building Lab - Chapter 12, MiniToon was going to add another bot to the map, named Payton. Though, near Lab’s release, he scrapped the idea, because he thought it would make the map too hard. Payton can still be found outside the map, though. MiniToon has said that he might redesign him as a purchasable skin sometime in the future.
  • Piggy was initially going to be just a 2D image of Peppa Pig chasing you throughout a house.
• Word of Gay:
  • Dessa, the bot for Book 2's second chapter, was confirmed by MiniToon to be transgender.
  • Silzous, one of the skins released for Book 2’s final chapter, was confirmed by TenuousFlea to be AroAce.
