    Carl and Ada Clover
Carl and Ada Clover, Gods of the Brother Sister Team-Up (Ada: Deus Machina: Nirvana)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/carl_and_ada_clover_cf.png
Carl (the boy) Ada (the robot)
Carl after Centralfiction
  • Intermediate Deities
  • Symbol: Carl's Top Hat plus Ada herself on his Emblem.
  • Theme Music: Marionette Purple
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral (once dipped into Neutral Good, but seem to have abandoned that stance)
  • Portfolio:
  • Domain: Family, Combat, Humanity
  • Allies: Litchi Faye-Ling, Bang Shishigami, Alice Margatroid, Jin Kazama, Makoto Nanaya, Zato-1, Mordred, Yoko Littner, Suigintou, Zenia Valov, Grey, Painwheel
  • Enemies: Relius Clover (their father), Yuuki Terumi
  • Pities and pitied by: Kosmo and Nova
  • Once went into hiding from Relius' wrath by being Alice Margatroid. However, he abruptly left and ended up ironically helping Relius in his attempt of a personal takeover of the Pantheon. However, once it was apparent Relius was backstabbed by Ocelot and Wesker, Carl revealed his true intentions and did not help Relius at all: He just wanted to protect Litchi (and Ocelot kinda "convinced" to backstab). Right now, he serves as the one guarding Relius after his power loss until he "cures" Ada and after that, Carl would arrange his fall to the Fallen. Thus was the tale of how Carl and Ada found their place in the Pantheon.
    • That being said, Carl was very apologetic that he had to beat up Bang Shishigami in process. After the fiasco, he went to apologize.
    • He also gave his apology to Alice for doing it. She forgave him and they still help each other. Alice is also hopeful that Ada can be turned back to normal so that she can use parts from Nirvana to finish up her Goliath Doll.
    • This act also won him the trust of Jin Kazama and offers him a spot in his 'Anti-Parental Abuse' group. Carl was more than happy to accept.
  • Carl was once, even before entering Alice's house, a…problem child, mercilessly killing people just for information all with a serene smile and politeness. He got better thanks to Litchi and Bang, and ever since, Carl has been quite protective of them (especially Litchi). He'll be the first in line to defend Litchi if someone ever snarks about her 'dark obsession'.
  • Carl 3:16 says: "Thou shalt not refer 'Ada' as 'Nirvana', word related to 'puppet' or say she's not his sister." Failure to comply will receive the punishment of being invited to a volleyball match between him and Ada…the guilty being the ball. (This is why we don't bother to put Ada's alias on the title).
    • Carl 3:17 says: "Thou shalt not harm Carl when he is defenseless. Failure to comply will receive major ass-kicking by Ada, even if Carl cannot control her."
  • Carl often visits the Academy now after missing out a lot of his education year and he could at least breath easy at the moment. He still surprises the chess club members with his chess competence.
  • When Alice started forming "The Grand Puppeteer Court" with Haruka and Uncle Howee, she assigned Carl as The Lancer. Carl didn't oppose to this idea, though he insisted that Ada should be an actual member of the group, so she was made The Big Gal.
  • Zenia Valov gets along with him, though refuses to tell precisely why to Carl. The reason is because Carl's past reminds her of her younger sister, to the point where her sister was "turned to a doll", which ends up being false.
  • As of late, something has terribly changed within Carl, he's much colder to others and has distanced himself from his friends, from even Bang and Litchi, to even the new friends he made before. He said that he has no more times for "games' when restoring his sister becomes his greatest justice, though he still says that he's not going to turn out like his father, even if people say he's walking to a similar path as him.
    • While he still is acting crude to others, the ascension of two new deities, Kosmo and Nova, had the chance to give his softer side a time to shine, seeing Kosmo as not so different from what he had to deal with when dealing with the repair of his sister. He has enlisted them to help him restore Ada should he get a list of everything he precisely needs to help rebuild her to see how far they would go.
  • Ada has indicated that she has some pity and fellow-feeling for Painwheel, both being young girls who were unwillingly roboticised and forced to live as weapons. Carl isn't so sure about her, recognizing how extremely dangerous Painwheel is, and in his change of mind thinks she might make a good pawn.

  • Symbol: Their Mew Pendants
  • Theme Music: Tokyo Mew Mew Opening Theme
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Animal-Motif Team, Magical Girls, Action Girls, Clark Kenting
  • Domains: Animals, Magic, Good
  • Heralds: Ryou Shirogane, Keiichiro Akasaka (Mew Project members), Masaya Aoyama/Blue Knight (Ichigo's boyfriend), Quiche, Tart and Pie (former enemies).
  • Allies: The Magical Girl Sisterhood, Tuxedo Kamen, All Ascended Pretty Cure, Adora and Catra, Mewtwo and All Good-Aligned Pokemon Deities, The AppliDrivers, The Terra Restoration Squad, Dr. Alphys, Misaki Ayuzawa, Sharo Kirima, Maika Sakuranomiya, Hideri Kanzaki, Shadow the Hedgehog, Superman, the Chosen Four
  • Enemies: The Death Busters, Black Doom, Death Phantom, Dr. Eggman, Metal Sonic, Infinite, Giygas, The Starmen, Porky Minch, Katz, The Shroobs, The Martians (Mars Attacks!), Vril Dox/Brainiac, The Lich, Lucifer, YHVH, Lord Tirek, The Incubators, Yuuki Terumi, Relius Clover, Regime Superman, Joker (The Clown Prince of Crime and The Spawn of Pierrot), Gohyan, The Batman Who Laughs, Kefka Palazzo, Anyone in the Grand United Alliance of Destruction, Horde Prime, Ragyo Kiryuin, Nui Harime, Zim, All Evil Aliens not listed here and those who would destroy nature
  • Uneasy Towards: Sailor Galaxia, Homura Akemi
  • The Mew Mews are a group of Magical Girls who are infused with the DNA of certain animals thanks to the Mew Project and are recruited by the masterminds behind it to take on a threat. This threat happens to be some evil aliens, and they take them on in order to save the world.
  • It was a bleak morning. An attack by the Death Busters and the Black Arms, with it being spearheaded by Black Doom and Kaolinite, had seriously wounded and captured many heroes and were giving the GUAG a very hard time. Ichigo, however, came up with a solution, and went to fetch the other Mew Mews for aid against the two alien forces. This, combined with a few reinforcements that the Magical Girl Sisterhood had gathered, managed to push back the invasion and force the Black Arms and the Death Busters to retreat for the time being. The rest of the Mew Mews joined Ichigo in the Pantheon after they helped repel the evil aliens, and they all decided to share Animal-Motif Team together.
  • As they fought evil aliens, they are opposed to the amount of hostile extraterrestrial races in the Pantheon. At the top of the list are Black Doom and his Black Arms as well as the Death Busters. Both parties are absolutely incensed by their interference as they had very nearly won when they and the Magical Girl Sisterhood’s reinforcements arrived. The Mew Mews are absolutely appalled by the goals of both Black Doom and the Death Busters. They especially dislike the Death Busters not only due to their Omnicidal Mania but also because of the fact that they use a school as a front for their operations and headquarters and have removed the souls and Pure Heart Crystals of students attending there before.
  • Were absolutely horrified by another race of evil aliens; The Shroobs. The fact that they go around destroying everything they come across was something that didn’t sit well with any of them, and that’s not even getting into how they reacted once they learned of what they did to Toads. Things got worse when they learned of how the Shroobs forcefully mutated many forms of organic life in the Mushroom Kingdom’s past, and have decided to aid in opposing them. Princess Shroob and her sister aren’t worried though, as they know that they can potentially overwhelm the Mew Mews with sheer numbers.
  • The Mew Mews have allied themselves with the Magical Girl Sisterhood. Of course, there’s the extremely complicated situation with Homura Akemi, and how Lucifer manipulated her into joining him. They actually hang out with Madoka Kaname sometimes and were glad that she got some of her powers back. There was an incident where they busted into Madoka’s bedroom during a sleepover in her house and interrupted Death Phantom who was trying to corrupt her with his Mind Manipulation. He found their opposition to be hilarious and has used his powers to cause friction between them from time to time, gaining even more ire from the Mew Mews.
  • Opposing Dr. Eggman not only for his cruel treatment of animals, especially using them as organic batteries. They also weren’t happy to learn of the different continuities where he used the Roboticizer to turn people, animals and Mobians into robots subservient to him, and they were understandably even more horrified to learn of the Metal Virus that he once created and unleashed. The fact that some of the incarnations of the Mad Scientist ended up becoming Omnicidal Maniacs only made them more unhappy.
  • While she insists that Tokyo Mew Mew is the Expy and Mew Mew Kissy Cutie was the original, Alphys gets along just fine with all of the girls. She had actually been friends with Ichigo long before the arrival of the other Mew Mews that occurred due to the attack that the Black Arms and the Death Busters launched, and they can sometimes be seen talking.
  • Given how they carry the DNA of various endangered species due to the Mew Project, the Terra Restoration Squad took an interest in them. Despite her Fantastic Racism towards humanity, even Viridi feels it is necessary for them to exist at the moment as should the various endangered animals go extinct, they could try to replicate the DNA that the Mews carry in order to bring them back. They personally have decided to work with the Terra Restoration Squad, but they know that Viridi’s methods of using Reset Bombs are far too extreme, but she doesn’t care what they think.
  • Tend to hang out in the House of Nature and House of Food, the latter being where they continue their jobs in a maid cafe that was constructed shortly after their arrival. They tend to spend time in the House of Nature with the wildlife, though they stay far away from the Hall of Toxicity. One of their greatest foes from that Hall is the Lich, who wants to destroy all life and is essentially the embodiment of Nuclear Warfare. They once had a fight with him in the House of Nature, with Finn the Human and Jake the Dog joining the Mew Mews in fending him off.
  • While they are way outside of their weight class, this doesn’t stop them from hanging out with Courage the Cowardly Dog from time to time. There was an incident where they utterly humiliated Katz and forced him to flee when he attacked the Bagges and had no idea who they were, and the vile cat has sworn vengeance upon them, vowing to find a way to bring a Fate Worse than Death upon each of them despite knowing how much weaker he is compared to them.
  • As their biggest enemies were evil aliens, they are at odds with The Martians, The Harvesters, The Daleks and their creator, Davros. The Martians want to kill them for fun, and the Harvesters couldn’t care less about them. The Daleks want to EXTERMINATE! them and Davros sees them as annoyances at best. They are especially disgusted by him for bringing the Daleks into existence in the first place and wanting to bring about the DEATH! OF REALITY! ITSELF! using a Reality Bomb.
  • To their complete and utter surprise, they learned of an evil woman named Ragyo Kiryuin who sold herself out to evil aliens and attempted to do the same to all of humanity. Her crimes horrified them to say the least, especially with what she did to Satsuki and Ryuko. Most of the time they aren’t fighting her though when it comes to Ragyo’s plans, but rather her Dragon Nui Harime. They are helping Ryuko and Satsuki try to put a stop to the two once and for all.
  • Despite their opposition to evil aliens, they couldn’t help but pity Giygas for what happened to him and drove him into villainy, finding his descent into becoming a powerful, unthinking, incomprehensible horror to be heartbreaking. The Starmen, however, did not earn their sympathy. They proved to be utterly relentless and when they interferes with some their plans, the sheer numbers of the Starmen where they fought as well as some of Giygas’ other troops that were present there as well was overwhelming, and they would have been killed had Ness, Paula, Jeff and Poo not interfered in time.
    • And yet, the Mews learned of somebody from their universe who happened to be even worse than the Starmen and Giygas upon helping Lucas fend off a horde of mechanized animals. They soon learned that Porky Minch was the cause of this, having his Pigmask armies mess with animals to turn them into Chimeras in order to make them “cooler.” Porky finds it hilarious that these people are opposing him, and is genuinely toying with the idea of finding a way to turn them into Chimeras as well. Naturally, they were not pleased with his intentions for them.
  • Are some of the only deities who take Zim completely and deadly seriously due to the Florpus incident where he nearly destroyed the planet by accident. Zim actually likes that someone other than Dib is treating him as a legitimate threat as he believes this can boost his reputation and prove to the Tallest that he is in fact a skilled invader.

  • Intermediate Deities as a Team, Lesser Deities individually
  • Symbol: The Jungle Fury Symbol aka The Order of the Claw
  • Theme Music: "Power Rangers Jungle Fury"
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio:
  • Domains: Combat, Kung-Fu, Martial Arts, Teamwork
  • Heralds: Fran, Jarrod, Camille, Pai Zhuq/Order of the Claw
  • High Priests: Juken Sentai Gekiranger
  • Followers: The Livemen
  • Allies: All: Zordon, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Dr. Thomas Oliver, The Furious Five, Po, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Batman
  • Enemies: Enter, The Pyscho Rangers, Mesogog, SHOCKER, M. Bison, Zamasu, Lord Shen, Tai Lung
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork With: Rio and Mele
  • The Jungle Fury team consists of Casey, Lily, Theo, R.J, and Dominic, who all helped out the Order of the Claw in stopping the reborn Dai Shi and his clan of animal spirit beasts. Along with saving Jarrod from his possession, and even managing to save Camille from dying with the rest of Dai Shi's army. Later, the team began to teach the newer generation about the ways of martial arts with Casey offering advice to the Super Megaforce rangers as they dealt with the Armada.
    • When asked why their team was ascended for this trope, the reason was 1) the Choujuu Sentai Liveman team have been considered, but might be put into the Pantheon at a later date, 2) The Dino Thunder Rangers include the already-ascended Tommy Oliver and he's already a prominent representative of his trope, and 3) the Ninja Storm Rangers have already been reserved for a different title (and they're more of a Three Plus Three team).
    • They were also praised by the Go-Busters for coming up with the idea of using shades as morphers. When asked how they developed them, the mentor R.J said that he knows a guy who knows a guy who has an uncle…
  • Applies to the team as a whole or two/more of its members:
    • Their temple takes the form of the Jungle Karma Pizzeria, where the Rangers work on their off time. Their base of operations is at the second floor (and is known as one of few Ranger bases to not be attacked by the bad guys near the end. They also have another area where the Order of the Claw train their students.
      • As soon as word of the pizzeria spread, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles decided to come over and check them out (after finding Freddy Fazbear's Pizza to having terrible food, on top of the animatronics), making fast friends with the Rangers.
    • All of the Rangers utilize the power of their own personal animal spirits along with their personal weapons. Casey uses Jungle Chucks in the beginning before earning the Shark Sabers, Lily has the Jungle Bo until she earns her Jungle Mace from Master Phant, Theo has the Jungle Tonfas as he starts only until he gets the Jungle Fans from Master Swoop, RJ can fire energy blasts from his own morpher, and Dominic can fight with his morpher along with using Power Chop.
    • Lily was asked by Chun-Li to help out with her training routine while Ryu talked with Casey about the Order of the Claw being interested in meeting some of his students to see how their training was coming along.
    • At first, when the Jungle Rangers met the Furious Five, the group was concerned they were some of Dai Shi's followers, having dealt with animal-looking monsters before. Thankfully, Po was there to clear things up and explain the situation.
  • Exclusive to Casey:
    • Casey wasn't sure how to feel about ascending into the Pantheon, since he felt like he'd accomplished so much already with his friends and mentor. When he met up with other deities who have experience in the field of fighting but wanted to learn from, him Casey decided to join up with his old team once again.
    • Casey wasn't sure how to feel when Batman of all gods wanted to train with him one day as Bruce felt like getting back into shape after taking some time-off with some detective cases in the Pantheon.
    • At first, Rio and Mele were confused when they confronted the Jungle Rangers, since they expected to confront the Gekirangers instead of this version of Power Rangers. Still, Rio found Casey to be a worthy rival along with the rest of the Rangers while Mele was curious about this Camille and Jarrod they spoke about, especially when they told her the two of them ended up falling in love and joining the Order of the Claw.
  • Exclusive to Theo:
    • Theo was pleased to meet one of the best earth-benders in the Pantheon, since Toph had reminded him of Master Swoop as she was also blind and easily able to fight with anyone.
  • Exclusive to Lily:
    • While at times she is known to be a kind, and gentle girl there was one moment when she was under the effect of a needle from Porcupongo causing her to become more harsh and mean to her teammates.
  • Exclusive to R.J.:
    • Zordon is honored that another team of Power Rangers has joined the Pantheon, though he's curious as to how R.J. managed to tap into the Morphin Grid through his…dubious connections. Still, they fight for the side of good, though people are still curious about his method.
    • R.J made it a priority to find the nearest pizza location in the House of Food as he was feeling awfully hungry after his ascension. Then he got to met C.C., who was busy chowing down on some cheesy pizza that was dripping from her mouth.
    • Vergil voiced his annoyance with RJ about the fact Tommy was bothering him again over being mistaken as a Power Ranger. Apparently, the alternate universe of Dante's world had another version of Vergil sounding like R.J., much to the Wolf Ranger's dismay.
  • Exclusive to Dominic:
    • At first, Matt was confused when he saw Dominic thinking he was part of the Russian mob, but after clearing the air with the attorney/superhero they've managed to get along.

    The Psycho Rangers
The Psycho Rangersmembers, Evil Team Counterpart Deities
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cac6af6dcbc5fbfb83c8ca86a49f53d8.jpg
  • Intermediate Deities
  • Symbol: Stylish N?
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio: Ax-Crazy, Badass Crew, Only They Can Defeat Power Rangers, Card Carrying Villains
  • Domains: War, Appearance, Power
  • High Priests: Jaden Sentai Neziranger
  • Followers: Bad End Pretty Cure, The Justice Lords, The Rowdy Ruff Boys, Shocker Riders, The Yoma Generals
  • Allies: Ryoma Sengoku, Carnage, Melkor, Dark Link, Ginyu Force, Mesogog, Dougen, Toon Patrol
  • Enemies: Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, all other Super Sentai/Power Rangers, Wonderful 101, Ascended Pretty Cures (Pink ones for Psycho Pink), Senran Kagura girls, The Investigation Team, The Saber Marionettes (Cherry for Psycho Pink), Rio Kamishiro, Yang Xiao Long, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, Tohru Adachi, Viewtiful Joe
  • Rival: Yoko Minato (Psycho Pink)
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Each other, Shadow Moon, Trakeena
  • It was a strange day in the Pantheon as many good-aligned deities were attack by other good-aligned deities. First the ToQger were seen battling Iron Man, She Hulk, Spider-Man, Captain America and Hawkeye. Then some how Kamen Rider OOO's Complete Combos of Gatakiriba, Latorartar, Sagohzo, Shauta, Tajadol were fighting Nightwing, Starfire, Beast Boy, Cyborg and Raven. But what didn't make any sense at all was pre-Rebellion Madoka Kaname, Homura Akemi, Sayaka Miki, Kyoko Sakura, and Mami Tomoe battling Team RWBY. Turns out, all those attacks were carry out by the Psycho Rangers who were ascended to the Pantheon.
    • Even if they were found out, the Psycho Rangers still continue to use their shape shifting ability to cause chaos in the pantheon. Like turning themselves into one of the ascended Kagura girls and attacking the others and pretending to be the Investigation Team's Shadows to play with their minds.
  • Thanks to Ryoma Sengoku's battle data collecting and securing blank Ranger Keys, the Psycho Rangers are able to use the them to transform themselves into complete set of already ascended teams including Riders, Rangers, Pretty Cure, etc.
  • Despite the Psycho Rangers being a team, they sometimes can't stand each other. In fact, Psycho Yellow once stabbed Psycho Pink in the back. Luckily, or unluckily, their hatred for Rangers of any kind make them an effective team.
    • Speaking of their Hatred of Rangers, they did attack both the Lol Rangers and Trollkaiger. Hey, they are Rangerish.
  • Psycho Pink is some what more feared out of the other Rangers. Why? Because through her machinations, she was actually able to kill Kendrix Morgan, the first Pink Galaxy Ranger after she sacrificed herself to destroy Psycho Pink's superweapon. She now wants to repeat that by killing every Pink ascended Ranger or Magical Girl.
    • This goal has also made her a rival towards Yoko Minato since she is the only Pink Rider.
    • Psycho Pink, and by extension, the other Psycho Rangers earned the ire of Tuxedo Mask and the Sailor Guardians after Psycho Pink went after Sailor Chibi-Moon.
  • For some odd reason, their symbol is an N despite being the PSYCHO Rangers. Wonder what's that's all about?
  • Each Psycho Rangers have their own monster form. While in this state, they are more powerful but they lose their ability to use their keys.
  • They are pretty fine being a five person team and are in no hurry for a sixth member. There is actually a time when there was a Green Psycho Ranger.
  • They are currently waiting for the day when the Space Power Rangers ascend so they can exact their revenge. For the time being, they're fine with confronting the Lost Galaxy Power Rangers. Psycho Pink is ecstatic to fight off Kendrix again.

    The Xiaolin Dragons
Raimundo Pedrosa, Omi, Kimiko Tohomiko and Clay Bailey, Quadrumvirate Deities of Multinational Teams
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/xiaolin-showdown.jpg
  • Intermediate Gods
  • Symbol: A red gi
  • Theme Music: The Theme Song of Xiaolin Showdown
  • Alignment: Lawful Good (Omi), Neutral Good (Kimiko and Clay), Chaotic Good (Raimundo)
  • Portfolios: Four-Temperament Ensemble
  • Domains: Good, Combat, Community, Water (Omi), Air (Raimundo), Fire (Kimiko), Earth (Clay)
  • Heralds: Master Fung and Dojo Kanojo Cho.
  • Allies: Aang, Katara, Toph, Zuko, John Egbert, Percy Jackson, Krillen, Sailor Mars, The Strike Witches, The Survivor Crew, Chen Stormstout, Li Li Stormstout, Kharazim, Uesugi Kenshin, Captain Planet
  • Rival: Rufus
  • Enemies: Jack Spicer, Leatherface, Starjun
  • Opposes: Azula
  • Fears: Banette (Kimiko), Kitty Foreman (Clay)
  • In search of potential allies in the House of Nature, Aang turned his attention to a group of four gaining powers of the four elements. While they couldn't enter the House of Nature, the God of the Elements had a different proposal, as a group hailing from different counties, they could ascend on that matter. Thus, enter the Xiaolin Dragons.
  • Archnemeisis Jack Spicer claimed to put up a brave face, swearing to put down the latest enemies of the GUAE. The LOL Rangers later revealed his actual reaction: screaming at the top of his lungs as he headed for the nearest bed to hide under.
  • After their ascension, the four visited the gods of their respective elements to see how they were. Raimundo and Egbert got along swimmingly, with both enjoying performing pranks on others within the House. The same could be said with Toph and Clay, though he wasn't comfortable sparring with her, as he has a no hitting girl policy. Omi lasted all 30 minutes with Percy before he pushed him out of his temple. When asked why, the son of Poseiden admitted he could only take Omi belittling him for so much. As for Kimiko, she found the greater fire gods too fiery for even her to handle. She settled with hanging out with Recca, which turned out to be the best decision of her life. It helps that the God of Fire was a huge fan of her Xiaolin Dragon outfit despite not being an actual ninja.
    • There has been comparisons between the four and team Avatar, with the former preceding them by 3 years. Their followers get along well regardless, other than when the spar amongst each other for charity.
    • Another group draws comparisons to the mortals who summon Captain Planet, residing in the House of Nature. The Xiaolin Dragons may joke at the cheesiness of the man, but they do respect him. All of them would agree pollution is out of control.
    • They themselves were preceded by the Masou Kishin Heralds, holding the title Elemental Balance and thus their followers. Now that they have their own temple, the two groups hang out at times.
    • While not in the House of fire, Kimiko also enjoys company with Rei Hino. She has really helped the magical girl find her sweeter side seen in her manga and live action versions.
  • The group were also greeted with other multinational teams such as the Strike Witches and the Survivor Crew as well as other monks such as Chen, Li Li and Kharazim.
    • All pale in comparison to the God of Warrior Monks himself. It has been rumored that Uesugi Kenshin was their initial followers before their ascension. The swordsman was internally grateful, even if he finds the group grating at times.
  • Just as they shared a bond with Team Avatar, they share the same hatred with Azula for many reasons. Not only were they angry with her followers exterminating nearly all monks in Aang's world, they've also been the subject to her taunting. She loves to rip into Raimundo and Omi for their many failures. Kimiko is a more natural enemies, given their similar abilities.
  • Omi thought he found a long lost brother of his. Turns out it was only Krillin, though he admits the resemblance was striking. Omi hasn't said one word about belittling Krillin, even when his title suggests he's the foster child of such people. Omi respects his fellow monk too much to do such a thing.
  • Kimiko and Clay were horrified to find out that their greatest fears had patrons in the Pantheon: Banette for a half-burned doll named Tamochika and Kitty Foreman for Clay's Granny. Both avoid their respective houses. While Raimundo and Omi breathed a sigh of relief for no such patrons, they nervously keep track of the subhouses of Aquatic Life and Mammals respectively to make sure.
  • Raimundo has had a rougher history than the others when it comes to staying on the side of good. When he has lagging behind on his training, he ditched the group, even helping the Big Bad nearly take over the world at one point. While he has made great dividends to atone for his mistakes, not everyone in the GUAG has forgiven him. This includes lawful types uncomfortable with his chaotic antics and those who find such a betrayal unforgivable. As such he has an uneasy time in the Houses of Justice and Friendship.
  • Clay was delighted to find a plethora of cowboys from many fictions. He couldn't way to learn some tricks of the trade from the likes of John Wayne and the Man With No Name.
    • In his trip to the House of Slaughter, he sought out another Texan rumored to make his stay there. He was lucky to keep his guard because the person he was looking for nearly sliced his head off with a chainsaw. Clay managed to fend off against the perpetrator before leaving. The cowboy warns others from visiting Leatherface's temple ever since.
  • Kimiko holds a grudge against the Black Cat, particularly for sponsoring one of their most well-known foes.
  • It has been well known that Aku has sponsored Wuya, a spirit that has taken a similar liking to the God Made of Evil.
  • The group hold a similar distrust of acrofatic god Rufus, though in this case he isn't evil. He agreed to watch out if he ever sees an overweight ninja called Tubbimura.
  • After hearing from Recca about how he gained the title, Kimiko challenged Stargun to a fire challenge. The battle... didn't end well for her. The God of Evil Chefs remains unimpressed with his latest elemental rivals, though he acknowledges their potential as they grow up.

Students of Master Shifu, they defended the Valley of Peace and soon became friends with the Dragon Warrior, Po, after seeing his determination and later, defeating Tai Lung. Well, it took Tigress for her to respect Po after he defeated Tai Lung.
  • Po told some of his pupils and some deities of the origins of the Furious Five: Mantis was very impatient it got himself captured by bandits and was forced to wait for his time to strike against his captors, Viper was the daughter of the Grand Master Viper who was born without venomous fangs and was timid until she saved her father from a bandit wearing heavy armor, Crane was a janitor of a kung-fu academy who was unconfident until one of their pupils convince him to take the entry exam, Tigress was feared by her orphanage because of appearance and lack of control of her strength until Shifu taught her discipline and later adopted her, and Monkey was once a trickster who pranked his village owing from a public humiliation and was undefeated by even the toughest man until he lost to Master Oogway and encouraged him to show compassion. But if you tell them you learned of their past from Po, he'll deny it.
  • They specialize in fighting style named after their species, which suits their ability, with Tigress based on fierce strikes, Monkey based on acrobatic attacks, Mantis striking vulnerable locations through speed, Viper waits to twist together her foes and attack, and Crane specialize in long range fighting. They are willing to teach others if they are also willing.
    • They end up finding other practicers of the martial arts they train on. So far, only Mantis enjoys the company of the Shaolin monk Kung Lao and the blind Earthbender Toph, as the others are either evil or, for the case of Havik, crazy.
    • They are seen mostly training at the House of Combat, where they meet and honor the other kung-fu masters in the Pantheon. They however do not enjoy seeing those who would use their talents for evil.
  • When Po tried to help his goose father in attracting more customers, some of the things he thought up were including them, a night time at a swamp with Mantis and Viper, and the other being a spoof of the Old Spice which caused Tigress to attack him since he was sitting on top of her.
  • Tigress didn't like Po at first, because he was chosen over a master. However, after Po defeated Tai Lung, she begins respecting him a bit more. Some like to see her having interest in the Dragon Warrior in which she denies any claim that it is a thing.
  • Tigress was once a high priestess to Wyldstyle, but has left that position since ascending to the Pantheon proper along with her team. She still respects the LEGO figure since she thought that she was going to be chosen The Dragon Warrior but was passed to Po instead. Although, she wanted to be the Dragon Warrior in order to gain her master's affection rather than the fame of the title.
  • Tigress discovered that Lara Croft had entered some temples in China as well as scaling the Great Wall in search of the Dagger of Xian. While she's impressed by her experience and martial arts skill, she warned her to not take any artifacts in China. She also found that her voice sounded somewhat familiar, almost like her own, something that made her ignore the fact Lara killed a few tigers in her expedition.
  • Mantis is known to give acupuncture, so he is seen giving treatments to his friends or those in the House of Health and Diseases. But has has trouble giving treatments to…large people as he has a hard time finding the pressure points. He also has a bad habit of accidentally placing a needle in the facial nerve like Po and, at one time, Viper.
  • Mantis was greeted by a Scyther, a Pokémon which looks like a mantis. Without knowing it, he thought it could be a female and was a bit wary that it might take interest in him, become his mate, and then eat his head. Much to his relief, the ascended Scyther was male.
  • Among Z's allies from Dreamworks, the most interesting dynamic he's experienced was with Master Mantis. Though he was a bit afraid of the larger bug (despite being the smallest of the Five, as much as he doesn't want to admit it) and heard how Bala was almost eaten by a praying mantis like him, he managed to befriend the Master.
  • Crane was a former janitor, so while he's no longer working as he's a kung-fu master, he still appreciates some of the janitors in the Pantheon as he came from a humble beginning, which convinced him to work higher through confidence.
  • Viper is a bit sad about the snake hate, though she doesn't let it mess with her when the people of the Valley were frightened of her of rumors of an evil snake terrorizing the Valley and has dealt with him. She doesn't like any evil snakes or representing snakes in the Pantheon as they give snakes a bad name.
  • Monkey doesn't appreciate tricksters as they remind him of his past when he was a trickster who tormented his village. He thought about trying to show them mercy and encourage them to show compassion just as Master Oogway has, but he knew that it would come to no avail, so he confronts them when they come up with a scheme.
  • They once had an encounter with the infamous being known as Chin during one of his daily attempts to assault China, who tracked them down and challenged them to a battle. After a standoff of a few hours (since Chin's attack could kill any of them or a bystander in a single blow, they could not take any chances) Po finally managed to defeat him by unleashing the Wuxi Finger Hold on him, sending him right into the Spirit Realm. Unfettered, Chin made his way through the realm and somehow managed to find his way back into the physical world.

  • Tatsumi Oga was a young delinquent and first-year student at Ishiyama High, the delinquent school. Oga's selfish, abusive and violent personality resulted in him being feared by his schoolmates and to be considered the strongest delinquent in the school. One day, he saw a large man floating down the river, pulled him to shore and the man split in half revealing a baby boy, who quickly became very attached to Oga. Oga soon found out that the baby was Beelzebub IV, the son of the ruler of Hell, and that he was sent to Earth to destroy humanity in place of his Otaku father, who was too busy to do it personally. Oga also learned that he had been chosen as the one to raise Baby Beel, along with the baby's maid Hilda, because he possessed the qualities of the ideal parent for the future Devil King: strength, arrogance and a think-nothing-of-his-fellow-man outlook. Oga initially tried to get rid of Baby Beel by trying to lay him off on somebody else who was stronger and more malicious than himself. However, he eventually grew fond of Baby Beel and became a much more responsible and caring person while raising him. Ultimately, Oga fully embraced his role as Baby Beel's father and has sworn to raise him to not destroy humanity.
  • Oga and Baby Beel originally ascended as The Gods of Badass and Baby Duos. Oga initially spent most of his time trying to pawn off Baby Beel to various other gods before eventually warming up to him. However, the two came under scrutiny and were ultimately removed from the pantheon. Fortunately, when the gods learned of Oga and Baby Beel's highly improved relationship and fighting prowess, the two were re-ascended into the pantheon as the Gods of Parent-Child Teams.
  • When they re-ascended, Oga immediately exclaimed for everyone to grovel before him, which escalated into a fight with several gods who didn't regard him as much of a challenge. Afterwards, Oga and Baby Beel got settled inside their temple. When given the option of apointing a herald, Oga decided to appoint his best friend Furuichi to the position, mostly because Oga thinks that he's the only one who can handle it.
  • Oga's desire to raise Baby Beel to not destroy humanity drew the attention of various "Anti-Anti-Christ" deities, a group of heroic deities who chose to defy their role as The Antichrist. Rin Okumura was sent to test their strength and invite them to join the group. Their encounter with Rin resulted in a One Minute Melee which Oga and Baby Beel ended up winning. Afterwards, Oga and Baby Beel agreed to join them, with Baby Beel as the Tagalong Kid and Oga as the Token Human. Oga has also developed a rivalry with Rin, who intends to challenge him to a rematch someday.
  • Being a fan of Humongous Mecha, Oga quickly became friends with Kamina and Simon. He particularly gets along with Kamina due to having a similar Hot-Blooded nature and strong values regarding manliness. Similarly, Oga bonded with Simon over their mutual habit of Calling Their Attacks and came to strongly respect him upon hearing of how Simon had fought against the Anti-Spiral with his fists.
  • Through their friendship with Simon, Oga and Baby Beel also befriended Ryuko Matoi. Oga noted that Ryuko's relationship with Senketsu was similar to his own with Baby Beel. Ryuko also appreciates that Oga doesn't act perverted towards her skimpy outfit.
  • Unsurprisingly, Oga quickly befriended Daigo Kazama, whom he respects for being the God of Japanese Delinquents. After a brief sparring session in order to test each others' strengths, Oga agreed to become part of Daigo's massive network of like-minded delinquents, mostly because it allows him to look for strong opponents and keep the bullies among them in check.
  • Aside from Daichi, Oga also gets along with many other delinquents in the pantheon. Yusuke and Kuwabara both respect him and have joked that Baby Beel strongly reminds them of Koenma, who is similarly almost always seen sucking on a pacifier. The members of the Joestar family approve of his aspiration to properly raise Baby Beel as well as his devotion to his friends. Oga's intial run-in with Joe Yabuki resulted into a fight, as Joe's volatile nature and their shared lack of tact quickly resulted in a misunderstanding. However, they managed to find common ground over their mutual liking of Baby Beel, as Joe has a soft spot for children.
  • Oga and Baby Beel once participated in the Jump Battle Tournament, during which they teamed up with Ichigo Kurosaki and Hiei. They've all remained on good terms with each other and occasionally hang out, Baby Beel in particular has developed a strong liking for Hiei due to both of them being Demons.
  • Being a fan of Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Quest, Oga couldn't hold in his inner fanboy upon meeting Goku, Vegeta, Angelo and Nine face to face. He proceeded to show them that he could go "super saiyan" as well, although he ended up destroying a few buildings in the demonstration.
  • When Oga demonstrated the ability to do a Shoryuken and a psycho crusher, Ryu and Bison were surprised to see him do it. The latter has shown an interest in brainwashing Oga into one of his soldiers.
  • Oga and Baby Beel are also on good terms with Leon Montana and Mathilda Lando, another Badass and Child Duo with a parent-and-child dynamic. Oga respects Leon for his devotion towards protecting Mathilda at all costs, to the point that he had sacrificed himself to save her, as well as teaching her his code of honor. Baby Beel has similarly taken a liking to Mathilda, as he likes her desire to fight and isn't put off by her odd behaviour.
  • Having a pretty low opinion of his world's Seven Deadly Sins, Oga was initially dismayed to learn that a similar group resides within the pantheon. However, he quickly came to like the Seven Mortal Sins for being far more Noble and likeable by comparison. Oga frequently likes to challenge Lucifer and Beelzebub to fights, as he respects their strength. However, he also tends to annoy Asmodeus due to his lack of interest in having sex with her, with her attempts to seduce him frequently resulting in him running away from her. Baby Beel similarly likes all of the Sins and has come to view Beelzebub in particular as an older sister.
  • While looking for a playmate for Baby Beel, Oga came across the Demon Lords Belial and Nebiros, who were similarly looking for another friend for Alice. Although Oga was weirded out by them and rather wary of Alice, he found her to be a decent enough playmate for Baby Beel, who finds her disturbing behaviour to be entertaining and fun.
  • Both of them strongly dislike Ghetsis Harmonia. They particularly hate him not only due to him having been an abusive foster father, but also for when he tried to take Baby Beel away in order to turn him into a battery via crying-baby-lightning-bolt.
  • They're not sure what to think of Beelzebub, Lord of the Flies. On one hand, they don't appreciate being occasionally attacked because of Baby Beel being mistaken for him. On the other hand, Oga likes him more than Baby Beel's father, Beelzebub III, who is outright insane with basically zero attention span, and Baby Beel considers him to be cool.

  • Former Enemy: Mitsuzane Kureshima
  • Tommy wasn't amongst the initial lineup when Zordon formed the Power Rangers, but in fact a 'late-comer', having been brainwashed by Rita Repulsa to be her enforcer. However, once that was taken care of, he went to become a helper of the Power Rangers... too much of a value that eventually he got promoted into a mainstay and eventual legend of the whole Power Rangers, allowing him to ascend.
  • He wasn't the first to do so, however, his first Japanese counterpart Burai/Dragon Ranger did it first on different circumstances, but Tommy apparently had more 'tours' and 'staying' power. He nearly got killed out of jealousy by Burai himself for this, but after convincing from friends of both sides, they managed to turn it into friendship.
  • Tommy does not get along well with Char, due to constantly wanting to sacrifice all giant robots for the greater good. However, while Heero agrees with him on this point, Primus, as a god of living machines, considers Tommy a genocidal maniac. As all are "good" aligned and know it, they are contractually forbidden to fight about this, and restrict themselves to very stern looks.
  • In the Toku Base, he's the High Saint of the Power Rangers. Unfortunately, he had learned that both Katherine and Kimberly were there. The House of Love have been trying to figure out who Tommy eventually marries. Tommy... won't really comment on it.
  • Was originally going to fight Leonardo of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in a Death Battle, but Zitz wanted to prove his worth so Tommy stepped back (hint: Zitz lost). However, Wiz and Boomstick have announced that Tommy has finally been chosen for battle as the White Ranger, along with the Tigerzord, to fight off Heero Yuy's rival and Char Aznable's former High Priest Zechs Merquise and his mecha the Epyon. Tommy is now training with his fellow Toku Base members for the big day. Unfortunately, he lost.
    • Though some claim that Tommy was actually testing out the Tigerzord's weaponry, when one of the blasts from the weaponry hit Noin, killing her & causing Zechs to go on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge, resulting in a Death Battle and Tommy's loss to Zechs Merquise.
      • Upon learning how Jason Lee Scott was heading off for Death Battle, he helped trained him and the other Rangers so that they would achieve victory. History repeated, and the Power Rangers got defeated too.
  • Is returning in his Green Ranger form to fight in the Power Rangers "Legend War", to help the Megaforce Rangers against the Armada (Although most of his followers wished he was Black Brachio Ranger).
  • Is not fond of Lord Deimos, whose physical appearance reminds him a little too much of Lord Zedd.
  • Tommy had a rather mind-scarring experience or 'dream' of sorts when he learned about a realm where he and the rest of the Power Rangers looked like they constantly overpraise the Super Sentai, with him acting too much like Big One. While he acknowledges the importance of the Super Sentai, Tommy really doesn't like what was seen in that realm...
  • When he's not in his temple, he teaches Science in the Elysium Academy. Many gods are trying to scratch their heads as to how he even became a teacher in the first place with speculations that perhaps that brainwashing meddling in his Zeo things could've been what got him on that path. He was not happy to find Mesagog in the Pantheon though. Being a paleontologist, he has been seen alongside Alan Grant and Ross Geller, with the former noting he had weirder experiences with dinosaurs, and the latter grateful that their field has such a badass representative.
  • Was surprised to find former bullies Bulk and Skull in the Pantheon and even more surprised to learn of something known as Angel Grove's Last Stand which they lead. He's respected them more because of that. There was also another time where they were Power Rangers for a day and beat the monster, despite everyone's expectations that they would fail.
  • Now that his Evil Counterpart, Lord Drakkon arrived, Tommy called in every Ranger, warning them all of Drakkon’s power. All took it to heart.
  • He also has a place in the Hall of Groups and Teams

  • Micah Bell III has a past that isn't well-documented, but there was enough established to picture him as a budding criminal, even at a young age. Being a relatively recent recruit in the gang of Dutch van der Linde, Micah proved to be a very capable marksman and gunslinger, eventually becoming one of Dutch's most capable henchmen, a position he shared with Arthur Morgan, whom he would start a bitter rivalry with. Despite his esteemed role within the group, Micah proved a loose and detrimental cannon, willingly going out to start rampages, destruction, and mass shootouts for the sake of self-gratification, acts that would annoy everyone due to clashing against their desire to keep out of unnecessary violence. Already a slimy and repulsive beast of a man, Micah would sink to lower lows when he discreetly decided to leak information and details about the gang to the Pinkerton Agency all to get himself out of trouble and while also coaxing and manipulating Dutch to take extreme actions and violence, taking advantage of his superior's dwindling sanity. Once his treachery was revealed, Dutch's gang was destroyed and Micah and Arthur had one last fight, ending in Arthur's death and Micah going off to form his gang with which to commit more acts of atrocity and death. Eventually, fate and retribution would finally catch up to Micah when John Marston, a former member of Dutch's gang, gained information and stormed his settlement to put an end to Micah's terrorizing schemes. Despite still working with Dutch, the latter would suddenly betray Micah, allowing John to finally put him down for good. And on death's door, Micah could only give a humoured shrug before dropping dead.
  • Micah ascended into the Pantheon sometime after his mortal coil was shed. Initially, he was under the belief that he ended up in hell due to his awareness of just how awful of a person he was. He was rather disappointed that this wasn't the case but got intrigued by the divine realm’s sheer scope and opportunity, namely that there was still a massive swath of uncharted and untamed lands that he could attend to and make himself a name for. One of the first things he did was to attend a small town and commit a mass shootout, just to entertain himself, though not before attempting to find some criminals as like-minded as him to build himself up as a threat and influence. Before the shootout, he also learned about Arthur and John’s presence in the Pantheon, so Micah wanted his actions to tell his rival and killer that he was also here and that they aren't safe, gleefully anticipating the next time he is to “greet” them and their friends, new or old.
  • Micah Bell III is the textbook definition of everything that is feared and hated about the terrors of the American Old West, a fact that Micah takes absolute pride and satisfaction in expressing. Bloodthirsty, remorseless, and all too happy to sow discord and chaos wherever he goes, Micah is a dangerous criminal who will not waste a second to either enjoy killing or fighting and he has no trouble skirting besides death’s door. In addition to his dismissal of fear, Micah has no interest in higher concepts and sees worship and religious belief as obsolete, even if he entertains the possibility of hell and damnation and finally, he's a complete and utter asshole who will milk out any attempts to belittle, mock, or insult anyone so long as he can either take pleasure or get away with it, up to racism, misogyny, and just plain bullying. Unsurprisingly, he is feared as he is hated, even by criminals as vicious as him as Micah is all too eager to cross moral boundaries, but to him, it means little to nothing. He does, however, have a measure of respect towards anyone with capable marksman skills or having a similarly blood-hungry streak as he does, though those moments tend to be rare, though Micah is aware that most of that respect may end up forming more rivals than he would allies.
  • There were many outlaws in the Pantheon, to Micah’s delight, but given that few were as diabolical and notorious as him, this gave him a big jump in the man’s ego and he was quick to declare himself a devil in the badlands he wandered and rampaged around. Forming a new gang of murderous opportunists who were inspired by Micah’s viciousness furthered his reputation, though he would naturally come to be opposed by most outlaws due to a combination of reasons ranging from them being disgusted or intimidated by his deranged actions, not finding his modus operandi compatible, and that he gives outlaws a bad name, not that Micah cares much about his critics. Most of the ascended outlaws like The Man with No Name and Billy the Kid have gotten involved in gunfights against Micah and his goons and are adamant about killing the madman anytime they meet. Others like Erron Black and Rattlesnake Jake are ostensibly amiable towards him despite a lack of alliance, mainly seeing him as a rival in their profession. Micah sees both his enemies and rival gunslingers as capable warriors he would be glad to shoot out against and would rather die fighting them than go to prison, even if he ends up holding petty grudges against them, though he notes the irony of duelling against a literal snake as he's often referred to a snake in regards to his slimy and backstabbing nature, things that Jake is quite eager to point out.
  • It should come as no surprise that Micah is despised by nearly every inhabitant of the Wild West, be it in his home realm and the Pantheon and he has nothing against that infamy. The Lone Ranger has made it his mission to one day track down Micah and bring him to justice, Lucky Luke is disgusted and horrified by the sheer atrocities and destruction he is willing to commit just to satiate his sadistic thrills, and Rango is outright frightened by the possibility of having off against Micah, feeling that even with his newfound confidence, he's no-nonsense and all too willing to cause havoc for no reason. Despite knowing that all three of them despise him, Micah responds to them in a mix of apathy and amusement; The Lone Ranger and Lucky Luke were generic sheriffs as far as he is concerned until they duelled, after which Micah was impressed by their marksmanship, even if he lost and was forced to retreat when authorities were making their way to capture him. With Rango, Micah just finds hilarity in dealing with a boastful humanoid chameleon but has no problems killing him in the event Rango's bravery starts to become problematic for him.
  • Law enforcement in the Pantheon was vastly different compared to the early times and it has managed to make its way into the Wild West. Micah knew this would make his days as an outlaw more difficult and grumbled about being part of an endangered culture, but he's affirmed that he'll die embracing the nature and reputation of a feared outlaw as his way of opposing the law without direct violence. One such policeman he's had to deal with repeatedly was Rust Cohle, an embittered nihilist who mainly only did police work simply because he was good at it. Micah mused about how Cohle's attitude and talents reminded him of a "gruff outlaw like him, thought tough and cool by everyone, but a sullen woodwork to watch and hear". While Cohle reminding Micah of Arthur was enough to form an enmity, the former's nihilistic philosophy was something the latter took intrigue on and often tries to bring up Cohle's daughter, isolated upbringing, and his addiction to drugs as a way to get under his skin, but Cohle has no patience for Micah's crap and is deadset on killing him, even after Cohle has started to become somewhat more optimistic after his last case.
  • Micah has a particularly unique enemy in Michael DeSanta and Trevor Phillips, which was formed when Micah decided to try recruiting the latter for a bank-robbing scheme. While there was potential in an alliance between Micah and Trevor, this ultimately fell flat during their performance, which saw the former abandoning the latter to be arrested, only to be shocked when Trevor fought his way through cops and criminals and almost got to kill Micah. Micah thought that just because both of them were uber-vicious madmen didn't mean they were equally clever and Micah felt Trevor was "dumb as sacks". In reality, Trevor despises Micah because the latter is something the former would never dare to be; a traitorous backstabber. Micah didn't expect Trevor, of all people, to be ardent about loyalty and friendship, which is how Michael's (and by extension, Franklin Clinton's) enmity with him started. Like Micah, Michael also sold out his gang by deferring to law authorities, albeit that was to keep his family safe and secure, and any attempts by Micah to come off as "relatable" are shot back by Michael calling him a "psycho sick freak". In a way, Micah is a dark antithesis to Michael and Trevor, embodying and amplifying their worst aspects, but possessing none of their virtues other than a talent for shooting and robbing, plus Michael and Trevor, for all their faults, mainly do their criminal activities to make their ends meet, not to cause suffering for the hell of it. Micah one day seeks to find Michael's family, fully aware of how much it would infuriate him and Trevor and play out the perfect torture-and-murder act just to spite the two.
  • Despite seeing them as sworn enemies, Micah has a twisted sense of appeal towards Arthur and Micah and while both of them despise him more than anything else at this point, Micah doesn't pay much attention to that. He still wants to kill Arthur for insulting and humiliating him and Dutch for helping John kill him, but more often than not, Micah talks and banters with them like they're still old friends because he finds it funny and he knows it would annoy Arthur and Dutch, even though Micah is sore about them being better than them. Specifically, he wants to gun down Dutch for betraying him and do the same to Arthur for simply being the better rival compared to him, but Micah does admit to respecting the two men in an aesthetical sense, namely that both have a natural killing appeal to them and they’re both good gunslingers, plus Micah genuinely thinks that both men should just become murderers, just like him, taking huge glee over the fact that Dutch (and by extension, Bill) becomes that Micah also doesn't care if either Arthur and Dutch kill him in any of their encounters as the Pantheon assures that he can come back and get his revenge anytime he wants.
    • While he's aware that John Marston is his killer and he’s eager to get back at him with blood and death, Micah’s animosity towards John is admittedly less intense than with Arthur. To him, John is another "goody-two-shoes wannabe" he finds annoying and is quite amused by how John's life ended, sometimes taking potshots and calling John an idiot for becoming a bounty hunter and working with Edgar Ross, especially considering how that turned out in the end, despite the dire circumstances John was put into to ensure that partnership. As for John’s son, Micah was amused and excited to hear how Jack ended up becoming a law-hating outlaw, going against his dad and Arthur’s desire to not get him to become that. While Jack absolutely despises Micah and wants him dead just as much as anyone else, Micah himself couldn't help but find Jack’s occupation and circumstances darkly comical and usually tries to act as jolly and jovial as he could with the younger man, uncaring about Jack’s murderous intentions towards him. That aside, Micah genuinely respects Jack for being a good shot and taking much from “dear old daddy” in tenacity and ruthlessness, though Jack couldn't care less and simply wants Micah dead, especially since he's one of the reasons why his life is so miserable in the first place.
  • Micah was amused and pleased to learn about the House of Slaughter and quickly made himself comfy there, entertaining the possibility of meeting with fellow-minded people like him, deranged, psychotic mass-murderers with no care in the world. Given his reputation as a spree killer, Micah got himself acquainted with several criminals of the same calibre, with the most notable one being someone a Bill Williamson very much different from one Micah personally knew. This Bill, in contrast to the outlaw who was short-tempered, brash, over-emotional, and sometimes stupid (from Micah's perspective), was an educated terrorist who carefully planned his attacks and was pretty smart for a screw-loosed killer and two had a few other things in common, such as being nihilistic atheists who don't mind near-death experiences if it means either enjoying their thrill or getting their task done. Bill himself was impressed by Micah’s gunslinging skills and belief in life, though there's some trouble on getting the outlaw to be interested in sciences, even if Micah is content with his nihilistic philosophy. On the other hand, a large heavy-set shooter saw the outlaw as a competitor in his crusade to commit genocide and found Micah’s vocal nature as annoying, something the gunslinger is all too eager to overemphasize, chastising “Not Important” by claiming he lacks creativity and taking advantage of sowing chaos despite his success rate, all whilst milking out his moniker of “Not Important”, citing the appellation as comical and questioning whether he's really serious about being some “nobody”, to which “Not Important” doesn't bother with regarding responses other than to wish death on Micah, favouring his brand of carnage over causing anarchy.
  • Speaking of the House of Slaughter, if a spree killer is hard to come by, Micah doesn't mind making “acquaintances” with anyone as bloodthirsty and destructive as he can be. This led him to encounter Patrick Bateman and Jack, and despite learning how similar they are, namely their narcissism, desire to kill, and lacking any moral empathy or consequences for anyone other than themselves, neither got along. Patrick was too pretentious for Micah to tolerate most of the time and Jack was equal parts clumsy and too absorbed with art, especially as the outlaw couldn't be bothered to develop any other interests outside of violence and discord. On their end, Patrick saw Micah as a constant annoyance in wanting to rush into attacks and preferring to maintain his vain “yuppie standards” while Jack felt that Micah didn't care about artistic integrity or intellectual conversations of any kind, which Micah called bullshit partly because of his lack of interest and because he quickly realized Jack wasn't really well-educated about his interests. In contrast, he and Cletus Kasady quickly accepted each others’ common grounds and the latter was a bit content to find someone like the former, claiming that finding a figure like them is a rarity. The Carnage Symbiote itself was attracted to Micah for largely the same reason it's bonded with Micah and it similarly deems the outlaw as a suitable alternative due to his shared beliefs and murderous tendencies with Cletus. One can only dread the possibility of Micah being bonded to Carnage, an idea that the gunman is quite giddy to think about.
  • Micah is an atheist and even if literal gods exist in the Pantheon, he has no faith or respect in them despite acknowledging the gods. Instead, Micah believed in self-preservation and surviving as the main crux of life alongside an accompanying belief of chaos and using all your time to do and act however way you wanted, eager to paint himself as a destructive, cynical anarchist in contrast to Dutch’s more idealized take on the stance. While this is a major part of his alliance with Bill, Anarky was far less accepting, seeing Micah as a perversion of what anarchy should stand for and disgusted by his disregard for killing and destruction, clearly vowing to either stop or kill Micah, who could only respond with amusement and annoyance. V also finds Micah to be too odious for his liking, anarchy should be representative of freedom and choice, not wanton murder and destruction. On the other hand, Micah thinks that V’s desire for liberation and spreading an idea is about as successful as an overly ambitious, yet flawed bank heist doomed to fail. He does, however, have a level of respect for Shogo Makishima as both have Darwinistic approaches to anarchy and Makishima thinks that the outlaw does represent his beliefs of being a survivor quite well. Though Makishima’s reclusiveness and belief in seeing everyone as pawns meant they couldn’t truly be allies, Micah does admit to seeing him as a fellow man of ideals but is not willing to play the part of a pawn as Makishima has done in the past.
  • After the dissolution of Dutch's gang, Micah decided to start up a gang of his own, with his main priorities being to raze, kill, and destroy as much as he could. Naturally, one of the first things he did in the Pantheon was to find like-minded people like him and restart his infamy in the divine realms. Groups like the Brave Companions and Wild Hunt certainly caught his attention, but when it came to compatibility, Micah was disappointed to see that they didn't synch well with him. They all enjoy killing and torturing, but each has some differing priority that annoyed the gunslinger because he prefers to spread chaos and for his plans to leave a greater impact beyond just murder and misery; to him, Wild Hunt was too fixated on pleasing some "chubby-fuck pig" while the Brave Companions were not exactly bright in making plans and often screwing up in basic objectives. It also didn't help that Micah would ridicule Vargo Hoat by calling him "goat-man", cite Rorge as a "pussy-dog" for being killed by a woman, and call Syura a "dickless papa's boy" and affirms that the only reason they aren't killing him is that Micah is clever and calm enough to at least bail them out of trouble despite his own bloodthirstiness. He does, however, like The Fans because of their devotion to murder and being direct and no-nonsense about it, and they don't mind Micah's company as they all are quite talented in their profession for slaughter. He hopes that the fans will take more from Micah and embrace his belief of "livin' and dying".
  • Micah is a straw nihilist; while unabashedly self-centered and thinking highly for himself as part of his belief in being a survivor, he doesn't really have many expectations about anything and as far as he is concerned, mayhem and murder are what makes him content, plus he thinks condescendingly of anyone trying to think of bigger things or the possibility of big hopes and dreams. It's one belief that he shares with The Joker, whom Micah found to be an entertaining figure to hang around with, himself being one of the few to not be intimidated or annoyed by the Clown Prince’s horrible list of atrocities or his unpredictability. Joker himself is glad to find a relatable figure in Micah, though feels that he should "upgrade" his brand of chaos to also be more "colourful and spectacular, with a gag", with Micah admitting that it would take some time to get accustomed on what would work as a “gag” for his murderous and chaotic actions. Similarly, Junko Enoshima felt that Micah would work very well as an agent of despair, or rather, a pawn for her schemes of “Ultimate Despair” and while Micah enjoys Junko’s crazed antics and plans, he insists that his actions aren't hers to dictate and that being an “Ultimate Analyst” isn't going to be enough to be fully coerced into performing her schemes. That aside, the two are open about enjoying despair and recalling life and expectations being meaningless, but Micah isn't on board with despairing himself, though Junko isn't too fazed so long as the outlaw is all about being upfront about his thrills.
  • Horrifically self-centered and blatantly calling it “survival” on his end, this has served as a major reason why Micah has very little in the way of allies, support, and popularity. Yet somehow, he's managed to turn that into a twisted positive on his thoughts, believing that this furthers his credentials as a "survivor" and the same applies to anyone just as murderous and selfish as him. Even so, he's proven to not be so ardent in his beliefs as he's bummed out that no one in the House of Law and Justice is going to allow him clemency or a slap on the wrist, even if he tries to rat dangerous criminals like himself. And despite his Darwinistic and nihilistic beliefs and his fearlessness in getting into combat and facing death, Micah has a rather cowardly side, being a bully who will berate even those he works with or respects, only to back away when he realizes he's not in control, something he hates. His joy for fighting hides another factor; he would rather be riddled with bullets than face jail time, finding the death sentence to be dragged out and painfully boring for him to look forward to. In the Pantheon, he mainly sticks to the badlands and small underdeveloped towns with some visits to the House of Crime and Transgressions because they happen to be the easiest places for him to commute, and Micah only travels to bigger, more dating places if he’s got a gang or an alliance to accompany him with. It just so happens that most of his allies are just like him, hence his credible fear factor in the divine realms, though Micah is more than eager to hide his insecurities and posture himself as a deadly criminal unafraid of death, no matter what.
  • If being a hidden formant to the Pinkertons was of any indication, Micah would gladly sell out anybody, friend or foe, if it means keeping himself away from further harm, not only accentuating his craven nature about survival but downplaying his desire for bloodlust, though Micah would take that criticism poorly if ever bought up. As a result, he has an association with the House of Betrayal and Treachery and being one of the few Houses with a notorious reputation with lots of like-minded people meant that Micah found it pretty easy to get himself accustomed there. If there was anyone else who was a mole to their associated criminal enterprises, it would be Tommy Angelo who would only express disgust and revulsion towards Micah for his barbaric and self-absorbed actions. While Tommy also was a criminal, specifically part of an Italian Mafia, he became tired and was targeted for assassination and being betrayed by his boss, Don Ennio. Tommy also felt that Micah's actions are one that not even the worst of the Salieri would be willing, much less capable of doing and has made it clear that regardless of their similar act of ratting out their gangs, he would kill Micah if he ever comes near him, though the gunslinger couldn't care less about Tommy's threats, justifying his actions to be one a "survivor" would do.
  • While he may be a vicious brute who goes with a "killing first" rule, Micah is pretty intelligent and clever for a man as deranged as he is. This is a major reason why he is deemed so dangerous by many as he's surprisingly adaptive when the situation calls for it and he can come up with ideas and suggestions to either save his own skin or provide avenues with his co-workers to maximize their reach and ambitions. While this attitude and skill make him well-adapted for the House of Mentalism, Micah has little interest there, feeling that he's not wasting his intellect "waddling in someplace where he can't see shit", but he does compliment the fact that he's good enough to use his talents effectively there. On a specific note, Micah is good at feigning loyalty and using honeyed words to give his superior or co-worker a bolstered sense of motivation that he's eager to take advantage of and repeatedly do that until he's surely corrupted them into twisting their motives and ambitions. With people like Joker, Junko, and Shogo, Micah is delighted to get some lessons on how to manipulate and corrupt people more effectively and entertains the idea of corrupting other people into becoming just like him to become a second gig.
I believe there's winners and losers... and nothing else besides.

  • Opposed to:
  • Meet the Classical Literature Club, four students from Kamiyama High School who mostly spend their time solving mundane mysteries, usually because of the extreme curiosity of their president. For the longest time, Eru Chitanda and Houtarou Oreki had their respective own temples but felt sad that their two closest friends Satoshi Fukube and Mayaka Ibara were missing and decided to invite them along. With that, both Oreki and Chitanda abandoned their old temples and opened one for the whole Classical Literature Club, which made their friends really happy and surprised, especially when it comes from Oreki of all people.
  • The Classical Literature Club in its current incarnation formed when Houtarou Oreki, the younger brother of former club member Tomoe Oreki, was "convinced" by his sister to join the club to keep it from getting shut down, despite his energy-conservation lifestyle making him reluctant to do so. There, in the clubroom, he met the forever curious Eru Chitanda and, with the help of his best friend and "database", Satoshi Fukube, solved the mystery of how Chitanda got locked in the room even though she didn't have a keynote , the first of many mysteries to come. They ended up inadvertently gaining their fourth member, Mayaka Ibara, when they helped her solve the mystery of why a certain library book was getting checked out by multiple different girls and getting returned by the end of the day (long before anyone could have time to read it...) every Fridaynote .
  • Exclusive to the club in its entirety:
    • They tend to get along well with various detectives in the Pantheon. Although they're by no means professionals, it's not uncommon for some high school deities, for one reason or another, to come to them with a case they'd like to have solved, or just to hear their theories, though Oreki is much more cautious of manipulation since the incident with Irisu. Some detectives have found listening in on their conversations about mysteries to be a good source of inspiration when stumped on a difficult case. Chitanda especially enjoys having a great many people to take her curiosities to when necessary, though Oreki is still by far her preferred sleuthnote . Satoshi sometimes gets jealous of other detectives' natural investigative skills, but he tries not to let others see that side of him.
      • Sherlock Holmes especially enjoys their company, as he sees just a little bit of himself in each of them (except for Mayaka, who he also appreciates as another "conductor of light", not unlike his dear Watson). He enjoys watching how Chitanda's curiosity and heightened senses, Satoshi's wide knowledge in minutiae, Mayaka's relatable and straightforward observations, and, of course, Oreki's reasoning allows them to solve the little mysteries hidden in the ordinary. Oreki also reminds Holmes of his older brother, the similarly Brilliant, but Lazy Mycroft, and Holmes, in turn, reminds Oreki of his older sister, the similarly brilliant and energetic Tomoe. Satoshi is a Sherlockian (though Holmes chafes at the idea that his stories are meant for "beginners"), and Chitanda once cosplayed in a Sherlock Holmes costume, which Holmes was amused by.
      • The equally great detective Hercule Poirot was intrigued that the Classics Club had to deal with a case that was similar to one of his most famous cases, The ABC Murders, and impressed at the way that Oreki managed to solve the case. He was also flattered that Mayaka chose to cosplay as him. The costume was very well-made, and he was quite pleased at the show of recognition.
      • Every so often, the club will attempt to solve a more serious case than they're used to. While they try to avoid getting involved in violent crimes, they have aided in investigations for some non-violent crimes, such as theft or missing objects. Their greatest achievement in this area is when they managed to reason out the actual location of Carmen Sandiego herself (though the authorities still failed to actually catch her, and she quite enjoyed the challenge). They even caught the attention of the infamous Professor Moriarty and Arsène Lupin, the former of which would normally not be a very good thing, but the way they did it was by having Satoshi and Oreki cosplay as the criminal mastermind and gentleman thief, respectively, which they both agreed was quite entertaining. Since then, the two have taken a liking to them, and have even made something of a game out of carrying out subtle crimes while Chitanda's nearby simply to try to stump them.
    • The club often enthusiastically (with the exception of Oreki, who 98% of the time has to be prodded by Chitanda to even show upnote ) participates in group activities with or against other clubs and groups during festivals and celebrations. These span from detective competitions pitting them against other mystery solving groups like Mystery Incorporated and/or the Investigation Team, poetry recitals with the Doki Doki Literature Club (who they sometimes like to spend time reading and writing with, on the rare occasion they actually do that), or other more generalized contests going up against groups like the School Life Club, the SOS Brigade, the Xiaolin Dragons, and the Paranatural Activity Club. They don't win these contests very often (although they'd probably win more of the detective competitions at least if they could just get Oreki to put some effort into them).
      • Speaking of writing, Shizuku Tsukishima once joined the club, which caused some trouble when the imbalance in their members caused friction with their trope, threatening to evict them (or at least Satoshi and Mayaka) from the Pantheon. Luckily, this was averted when Shizuku realized that despite being called the "Classical Literature Club", they don't actually spend much time practicing or discussing writing or literature, and she decided to quit. She still enjoys hanging out with them for inspiration, though.
      • The club's members (even Oreki, though he's obviously not as enthusiastic about it) are big fans of the music of Houkago Tea Time. They sometimes like to spend time in their club room to listen to their music or just hang out. Chitanda and Ritsu in particular have bonded over the fact that they're both the president of their respective clubs, even though Chitanda takes her responsibilities far more seriously. What, you thought there was some other reason?
    • The relationships between Oreki and Chitanda, as well as Satoshi and Mayaka, has been a source of great fascination from the House of Love. There are still bets going on over when (very, very few deities have had the nerve to suggest "if") each couple will actually get together. A group of these bettors' wallets have gotten a bit heavier since Satoshi and Mayaka got together in second year. New bets have emerged on whether they're going to stay that way, though.
  • Exclusive to Houtarou Oreki:
    • The "master detective"note  of the Classical Literature Club may be famous for being Brilliant, but Lazy, but he doesn't really consider himself lazy (or brilliant, but that's another story). He just sticks to his motto, "If I don't have to do it, I won't. If I have to do it, I'll make it quick." which has quickly become a popular slogan for all Brilliant, but Lazy deities (and some not-so-brilliant ones). As such, he gets along well with other Brilliant, but Lazy deities like himself. He once considered setting up an "Energy Saving" club, where members could meet and discuss the best ways to avoid work and save energy. He realized pretty quickly that the best way to save energy would be to not have a club. He becomes immensely annoyed whenever he hears about Chin Chin. He has nothing really against the person himself, but his constant use of seemingly random things with no explanation never fail to get Chitanda curious, which means more work for him.
      • A secret that Oreki rarely, if ever, tells anyone is that the reason for his energy conserving philosophy is because when he was in Elementary School, his sense of altruism was taken advantage of by another student and a teacher to make him do their chores for them. When he realized what they were doing, he decided that the way the world works is that the smartest people are the people willing to force others to do the things they don't want to, and dumbest people are the people willing to do those things for smart people. Since then, he has an aversion to those who take advantage of philanthropy this way, such as Homer Simpson.
      • Shikamaru, Garfield, Konata, Yoh, Caitlin, and Keima can often be found lazing around with Oreki whenever Chitanda's not around. The former four all stay as far away as possible whenever she shows up, because they don't wanna risk getting affected by whatever it is that she does to Oreki. Caitlin and Keima can handle it, though, as long as they don't wake her up or interrupt him playing his games, respectively.
      • Once, when Oreki got sick and had to go to the hospital, he became intrigued upon encountering Dr. House, another lazy genius who uses his reasoning and knowledge to solve difficult mysteries with the help of a group of people who are available to bounce ideas off of. Unfortunately, while they get along okay (with only some minor Snark-to-Snark Combat), the occasions that Oreki has spent time with the doctor have caused Oreki to put up a barrier between Chitanda and himself, as Oreki has a slight dread that he might one day grow up to be as obsessed with solving problems as House is, and that spending too much time with Chitanda might be expediting that.
      • Especially sympathizes with Kyon and Daria. Chitanda may cause him to waste tons of energy, but Haruhi Suzumiya is, in his own words, "a rose-colored hole from which no energy escapes". As for Daria, well, just the thought of being around people like Beavis and Butthead, even if only for a brief time, makes him exhausted.
    • Although he continues to insist that he's completely ordinary, Oreki doesn't mind passing time with other intelligent deities, such as Patrick Jane, Spock, Lisa Simpson, and Yoh Asakura, so long as it doesn't take up too much energy. He doesn't mind socializing, after all, despite what many (not completely inaccurately, either) think. He's just not particularly good at it.
      • Once bonded with C-3PO over the fact that they're constantly being dragged to places they don't want to be by a more enthusiastic companion (although the dragging is more figurative in 3PO's case, since R2D2 lacks arms).
    • As part of his attempts to prove that he's as normal as they come, and that his theories being correct so often is just him being lucky, he sometimes plays a game with Chitanda where he tries to develop an insane, but possible, theory to explain some completely random circumstances that Chitanda gives him to prove that, "Theory and hot patches stick to anything."note  Inevitably, though, no matter how crazy or bizarre the theory he comes up with, it always somehow manages to be completely true. Some deities introduced him to Killia, feeling their unwillingness to admit their good qualities is comparable.
      • For example, when playing the game, he was once asked to explain some weird behavior involving Conan Edogawa. From what little he knew of the kid, he came up with a theory he considered so ridiculous and absurd, that there was, in his mind, absolutely no way that it could be true... It was that day that Oreki and Chitanda accidentally joined the ranks of the few people aware that Conan Edogawa and Shinichi Kudo are the same person. Shinichi doesn't really mind that they know, though, as it lets him add another "detective" he respects to his list of worthy allies in his fight against the Black Organization. Oreki has never been happier.
      • The only exception that has ever been found to this is an instance when Oreki tried to come up with a theory while in the presence of Joss Whedon. As Oreki's theory-making skills clashed with Whedon's natural theory negation ability, the conflict caused the entire Pantheon to erupt into spontaneous chaos for no discernible reason. Oreki and Whedon have since been banned from being in the same place at the same time without rigid supervision.
  • Exclusive to Eru Chitanda:
    • The president of the Classical Literature Club is legendary (for better or worse) for being insatiably curious about everything, and her glowing eyes and (in)famous catch-phrase, "Watashi, ki ni narimasu!"Translation is often reacted to with some combination of Cuteness Proximity, bewilderment, irritation, and/or just dread*. Naturally, she enjoys spending time with other deities who share this quality, such as Curious George, and those who seek the truth above all, such as Lanaya the Templar Assassin. Ironically, her constant curiosity makes it so she may be one of the few deities in the Pantheon who understands Gon Freecss' strange (some might even say... curious) morality.
      • She may not always seem it, but Chitanda is actually very intelligent, being a top student (even if she insists it's only because she's good at taking tests) and having an incredibly sharp memory and sensesnote . She appreciates learning new things whenever she can, so she's probably one of the few people in the Pantheon who legitimately enjoys having things be "ruined" by Adam Conover. This often causes a problem whenever she spends time with Mako, because while her logic is very obviously nonsense, Mako is an expert at convincing people that her conclusions are reasonable in spite of this, and Chitanda is no exception to that rule. Any time socializing with Mako almost inevitably leaves Chitanda filled with absolutely ridiculous ideas about how certain things work, which the rest of the club then have to dispel.
      • She regards Fi as being a very nice being, as she's always willing to provide answers to her questions, to a degree of precision that goes beyond even Chitanda's standards.
      • As a consequence of her endless inquisitiveness, Chitanda has a liking for enigmas and riddles, although she's not usually very good at figuring them out. Because of this, she likes spending time solving puzzles with Professor Layton. On the other hand, the Riddler often feels annoyed at her presence, as she's more inclined to ask people questions than she is to answer them.
    • As a fellow high school girl from a very wealthy family, Chitanda very quickly grew attached to Chiyo Mihami during an investigation into her parentage. She thinks the young child prodigy's unique intellect is very reminiscent of Oreki (even if he denies it) and often likes to cook with her and play penguins... dressed as penguins. Needless to say, the sight of Chitanda in a penguin costume is very awkward for Oreki, though not for the reason you might think.
    • Oreki's not the only one who has a robot companion. Chitanda finds it quite impressive that Probius was able to develop some degree of sentience and become more curious than other machines of its kind.
    • Chitanda's curiosity was piqued when she stopped at the Rabbit House Café and saw a bunch of dishes with strange and funny names. She ended up ordering a bunch of them before meeting the person who gave them those weird names, Chiya Ujimatsu. They became friends when Chitanda mentioned a time when she got drunk on alcohol-filled chocolates, and Chiya reminisced that her friends had gotten into the same situation once, toonote .
    • Being an only child, Chitanda has a slightly romanticized view of what it would be like to have a sibling. She's always wanted one; either an older sister she could look up to, or a younger brother she could look out for. While an experience forced her to reexamine this idea and she has since taken a more sensible attitude, she still prefers to see siblings be nice to each other, and as such, she admires the relationships of Kazumi Amano, Switzerland, and Androids 17 and 18. On the other hand, she tends to feel uncomfortable whenever she sees siblings like Cain and Abel, Lina and Rylai, and Arthur and D.W. Read not acting as nice to each other.
      • Her childish behavior and demeanor often leave some deities wondering if there might be something wrong with her (though none have yet had the gall to actually ask her about it, at least not in front of her club mates), and so it should come as little surprise that she enjoys spending time with children. When she visited the House of Childhood and Adolescence, she immediately took a liking to one Yotsuba Koiwai, a young girl almost as curious as she was. In time, Yotsuba introduced her to the young Niko, and Chitanda was fascinated with Niko's puzzling cat-like appearance. Together, they like to explore the Pantheon, with Chitanda acting as a surrogate older sister, a position she finds much more challenging than she ever expected, but also much more fulfilling. Oreki's had to consider that her idea of siblings may not be entirely withered flowers after all...
  • Exclusive to Satoshi Fukube:
    • The database of the Classical Literature Club is, in many ways, the virtual opposite of his best friend Oreki, with a Photographic Memory to boot. As suggested by his nickname, Satoshi is incredibly knowledgeable in all sorts of random and useless trivia, which comes in handy when it comes to solving difficult and random mysteries the likes of which Chitanda brings to the table. He tends to avoid applying this himself, and is more inclined to lend his services to Oreki, as, "A database cannot draw conclusions." As such, he spends a lot of his time in the House of Knowledge when he's not with the rest of the club, especially Analysis and Records, where he spends time Wikipe-tan, Trope-tan, and Chuck Bartowski.
    • While he may seem to be an energetic, witty, and perhaps slightly feminine boy, those who know him well realize that this is an act. When he was younger, Satoshi was a very obsessive person who cared too much about winning. When he realized these flaws in his personality, he made an effort to conceal them behind a more easygoing personality, although to this day, he still holds a slightly bitter resentment towards Houtarou Oreki for being a better detective than himself. For this reason, no matter how tempted he may be, he has resolved to never set foot in the Hall of Infatuation and Obsession, and he has an immense dislike of people who share these qualities and don't put any effort into hiding them like he does.
      • Although this did get him some friends who are also Stepford Smilers like him—Adrien Agreste, Naruto Uzumaki, and Sayaka Maizono, for instance—and enjoys hanging out with Tucker Foley, Krillin, and Ron Weasley, who all know what it's like to be jealous of a more "special" friend. Adrien in particular can't help but notice that Satoshi's fabricated personality is comparable to his own as Cat Noir. The anonymity that comes with being a superhero allows him to escape his restrictive life and act as his true self, so it's somewhat disconcerting to find a similar personality being used as a form of self-control.
      • His insecurities are the reason he's been reluctant to reciprocate Mayaka's feelings for him, as he's afraid that he might end up hurting Ibara. He hasn't stepped foot in the House of Love ever since the "Valentine's Day Incident" where he secretly smashed Ibara's Valentine chocolate in an effort to avoid having to accept it. Even them getting together in second year hasn't changed this, as some deities are still bitter about it.
      • His eager personality may not be entirely real, but it has drawn some deities with genuinely fervent personalities to him, like Astolfo, and he enjoys hanging out with them, too.
  • Exclusive to Mayaka Ibara:
    • The... er... other member of the Classical Literal Club is a mostly ordinary girl. Despite her overall lack of impressive investigative abilities and frequent need to question Oreki to understand his methods and reasoning, Ibara has a strong sense of justice and discipline, which can help her make simple considerations that others might overlooknote . Although Dr. Watson likes all four members of the Classical Literature Club well enough, he finds Ibara to be the most relatable of them.
      • Outside of Oreki, who she already has a somewhat volatile—but ultimately friendly—relationship with, she can find it very difficult to get along with people that are both intelligent and lethargic like he is. Of course, she won't get violent or anything, but she'll have no problem showing what a Little Miss Snarker she can be.
    • It would be difficult to talk about Ibara without mentioning how she's been hopelessly in love with Satoshi since Middle School. As mentioned above, the House of Love is very engaged (ha ha ha) by this, and suffice it to say that their reaction when they learned of the Valentine's Day Incident was... less than pleasant. It took Hinata to calm everyone down and remind them of what Ibara already knew: that some people just need time to work through their issues before they can be ready to take that step. She was right.
      • Marinette can sympathize with being hopelessly in love with someone, and admires that she was able to be direct with Satoshi, as she's unable to conjure up the nerve to tell her own crush. On the rare occasions that Mayaka has talked to Adrien, she's gotten the impression that he might be kind of similar to Satoshi. She's agreed to help out with any schemes to help Marinette out, but she feels like there might be sides to Adrien that Marinette will have to learn to accept before they can be together.
    • Ibara is a huge Otaku when it comes to anime and manga and takes the art form very seriously, so she has a great respect for Osamu Tezuka. She'd love to meet him, but approaching the father of modern anime would be an event she equated to being like meeting Haruna Anjou and Muneyoshi Kugayama, the mangakas of her favorite manga, A Corpse by Evening*, so she has yet to gather the courage to do so. She soon joined an anime and manga club in the Pantheon, and they like her far more than the one back home did (at least, she hopes they do...), especially Peni Parker and Komaru Naegi, who are her current best friends outside of the Classics Club. She also enjoys cosplaying as some of her favorite characters on special occasions.
      • Not only is she a fan of anime and manga, but she's a gifted manga artist (though not nearly as good as she'd like to be). She'd love to make her own manga one day, but she believes she lacks the writing skills to make it work. She likes the work of Mashiro Moritaka and Akito Takagi, and has asked them for some pointers. Watson once made the suggestion that she record the Classics Club's mysteries like he does for Holmes and turn that into a manga, an idea she's giving some thought to. It is advised that one not, under any circumstances, point out the irony of her being a member of the Classical Literature Club and being a poor writer.

  • Six kids from Chichibu, Saitama get together and allow their imaginations to run wild, deciding to set shop at a wooden building situated in a forest area. The children, led by Jinta "Jintan" Yadomi, established the "Super Peace Busters", an "organization" in their minds for, well, peace, and played together anytime they could. The kids grew close with each other, with one in particular, Meiko Honma, better known as Menma, being seen as the highlight for her endearing nature and her ability to inspire morale and positivity in the other children, and her popularity and appeal were enough for Jinta and Atsumu "Yukitatsu" Matsuyuki to develop a precocious a crush on her. Then, out of nowhere, Menma died in a drowning accident, causing a catalyst that would mentally damage the kids as they looked up to and even depended on her and creating a fissure in their friendship. And just like that, their childhood, despite a happy start, had their innocence broken apart by a sudden death in their group.
    • Menma's influence and impact persisted in the remaining members of the Super Peace Busters even after five years, as her ghost remained in the physical world, with at least a now reclusive and despondent Jinta being the only one able to notice her. As it turned out, Menma is tethered to the angst and despondency of the group and would only properly be able to ascend to the afterlife if her wish was granted. To do this, she motivates Jinta, who had become an asocial hikikomori, to set out and reunite with his friends. Two members, Naruko "Anaru" Anjou, and Chiriko "Tsuruko" Tsurumi, were leading a functional school life, and another one, Tetsudou "Poppo" Hisakawa, dedicated his time to traveling abroad as well as taking part-time work for funding, and finally, Yukiatsu seems to be a popular school student. Regardless, everyone hasn't forgotten about Menma and they have trouble dealing with it. Once they reunite, albeit after a couple of hiccups, the group decides on creating a show of fireworks, believing that to be Menma's wish. After working hard to earn the money necessary to buy the necessary equipment as well as more complicated matters regarding how Jinta seems to be the only one to see Menma, they do succeed in creating a firework shower, However, when they think this didn't fulfill Menma's wish, the quintet break down crying and confessing their insecurities and trauma they've gone through as a result of Menma's death. Desperate, they frantically try to find Menma as Jinta starts to lose sight of her, though Menma uses the opportunity to write some notes to lead them to her. Finally, she realizes that she made a promise to Jinta's then-ill mother in the past to make him learn how to cry and understand the importance of being open to one's emotions. finally being able to see her, the Super Peace Busters tearfully say their goodbyes to Menma, who departs to the afterlife with a smile, happy that she was able to make her friends reunite, open up to their angst and find closure with their past.
  • After Menma's departure from the material world, she ended up in a rather odd destination. It was pretty looking, with a large green field with a bunch of buildings and walked around curiously to see what to do until she took a look at a large green vortex. That's when Menma felt a bit weirded out as it was the first time she's seen such a thing and was a bit afraid of going near it, given her unfamiliarity. After that, she met Death of the Endless, who complimented Menma for his compassionate nature and for helping her friends even when the odds were stacked against her. Menma freaked out a bit upon learning that she was talking to a grim reaper but eventually came to feel accommodated and even pleasant about being in her presence. From there and with the help of Death, Menma came to learn about the Pantheon and expressed joy in the idea of visiting the vast number of places the divine realms offered, though feeling lonely without her friends, she asked Death if there's a way the Super Peace Busters can arrive, without dying of course. Although Death explained that this wasn't in her power to do so, she did decide to help Menma out by making a convincing statement about getting her friends ascended. It took a while, but it eventually worked; the Super Peace Busters were invited to the Pantheon and were formally reunited with Menma in the House of Death and Postmortem, with Menma proclaiming that it was time for a new adventure for the sextet, with the other five tagging along out of homage for their childhood memories.
  • Due to her death and the conclusion of her tale in the material world, Menma is intrinsically tethered to the House of Death and Postmortem, which means that her friends being situated in another Hall makes for a rather awkward predicament according to most. Despite this, Menma keeps her hopes up; she's become pretty used to the place where she normally resides in, thanks to a combination of a lot of deities who felt touched by her tale and endeared by her bubbly, cheerful personality and most of the residential grim reapers who also feel similarly as well as thinking she earned the right to have her friends be ascended, an additional reward to the promise she made to Jintan's mother about getting him to open up more about himself emotionally. On the other hand, the remaining Super Peace Busters are very frequent visitors to the House of Friendship and Camaraderie for obvious reasons and are usually not treated in pitiable light as it became clear that this was not what Menma wanted. All six of them are happy to spend time with each other, but they are warned that a fixation on Menma would prove detrimental to the other's well-being, hence why there are strict timings for their reunions. Regardless, they've resolved that they'll make the most of that time as their way of making their friend and idol happy and proud.
  • As a former hikikomori Jintan is understandably reluctant in talking about his days of forcefully sheltering himself from society in response to the death of his crush and mother. He wasn't too surprised to learn that there have been a few figures who've been through a similar situation, though the ones who most caught his (and his friend's) attention happened to be a pair of heroes. He heard many tales about Thor Odinson in the Pantheon, but his time as a shut-in after a cataclysmic incident was not one he expected, and the group was surprised to see that the Norse God of Thunder took to learning about their tale and even pay them a visit. He chuckled at the idea of a name like the "Super Peace Busters", but then figured that it would be the sort of title a group of imagination-driven kids would come up with. Surprisingly, Thor has a bit of a gaming streak and is pretty good at it, though it seems only Menma has an interest in Fortnite, unlike her friends. She's surprisingly proven to be pretty good and she and Thor have remained competitively friendly since, though Jintan and Anaru worry about the idea of Menma spending money over game perks and cosmetics and warn her to be careful of such things.
    • By extension, the Super Peace Busters would also come to be acquainted with Jessica Cruz and Futaba Sakura for largely the same reasons as they did with Thor; both of them became extreme shut-ins and isolated themselves from society after the death of a loved one, with Jessica having to see her friends get killed by mobsters when they arrived at the wrong place and time and Futaba's mother was killed in what was supposedly a freak accident, which caused her to develop suicidal thoughts. Fortunately, both were able to recover despite their troubling circumstances, with Jessica becoming braver and becoming a Green Lantern despite being possessed to pose as Power Ring and Futaba having her Palace challenged and dismantled by the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, who convinced Futaba to join alongside them to discover the truth behind her mother's death as well as slowly opening up and becoming more sociable. The group openly came to respect them as Jintan in particular feels that hearing their attempt to open up is something that he needs to be reminded of to become a better person, though, for obvious reasons, they would not discuss the circumstances that led to them becoming hikikomoris. Jessica sees that the Super Peace Busters still have a shred of sadness in them, despite having accepted Menma's death and ghostly wish, but also that when together, they can spurt a lot of imagination within their minds, which she sees as endearing. Futaba would personally attend their company and just try to hang out with them, seeing as they can bond over similar past experiences. While she's recovered from her suicidally depressed state, her social skills are still stunted and he wants to make an effort to improve on that, which the Super Peace Busters are more than willing to help out on.
  • The group, particularly Jintan, Menma, and Anaru are fans of a gaming series called Nokemon and sure enough, there are a couple of Nokemon games to be found in a few gaming stores, one of which Anaru works at to sustain her finances. As a result, the group was a bit surprised to learn that Nokemon is actually a borrowed concept from Pokémon, which were a colorful cast of creatures that had a strong presence in the Pantheon. Hilariously enough, when Jintan and Menma met Ash Ketchum and Red respectively, the former two got mixed up with what they were brought up in and mistakenly called the latter two "Nokemon Trainers", which predictably caused said trainers to be confused and ask what they were talking about, followed by embarrassment on Jintan and Mena's part. It's when Ash and Red found out exactly what Nokemon meant that they realized why their interaction turned out to be bizarre and decided to just tag along and eventually befriend the two of them. Menma very quickly developed a desire to find and probably play with a Pokémon if she can, which was fulfilled when Ash's Pikachu decided to fill that spot when she met Ash later on. Furthering her excitement is the discovery that there are many who have gained a Pokémon as a partner and Menma eagerly awaits the moment that she gets one. On the other hand, the Super Peace Busters, while generally excited about encountering something that's about the closest thing to a Nokemon, are careful about this as Ash and Red did tell them that some Pokémon are dangerous and should be treated cautiously.
    • By extension, the Super Peace Busters also got to learn about the DigiDestined, a group of kids who stumbled across a "digital world" and came across creatures known as Digimon, which came in all types, shapes, and moral alignment, with the kids themselves having one of each as a personal partner, whom they developed a deep bond with to allow their Digimon partners to "digivolve" into stronger forms. Much like with Nokemon, the Super Peace Busters were reminded of Dojimon and it's here where they realized that a lot of games and pieces of entertainment from their world would have a version with a different name in another world, something they found a sense of amusement on. It didn't take long to learn that there were two DigiDestined groups and both of them were well-respected by their allies and whoever came to learn of their tale, thanks to their feat of saving two worlds from great evils, showing great adversity, and being strong believers of friendship and camaraderie. As a result, the Super Peace Busters quickly became friends with them and figured that the adventures the DigiDestined went through would have been something their child selves would have come up with in their roleplays. It's noted that the Super Peace Busters have great potential to have Digimon partners due to their own strong attachment regarding friends, though as of now, they haven't given much thought on it.
  • The concept of complicated love is not one that the party would want to delve into for the most part, especially for Jintan and Yukiatsu, given their precocious crush on Menma back in their youths, followed by Anaru and Tsuruko also having a crush on the two boys respectively, leading to internal angst over how they're too preoccupied with their feelings for Menma even after she died. This topic of unrequited and messy love is a little similar to that of Hanabi Yasuraoka and Mugi Awaya, a high school pair that tried to be sexually involved with one another, but ended up being burdened by their own romantic feelings towards other people which were never reciprocated and ended up having to accept that, much to their sadness and discomfort. While the details of Hanabi and Mugi's relationship and struggles are best left unexplained to the group, particularly Menma, despite being good at guessing, and the two are currently trying to get themselves better adjusted socially and emotionally whilst realising that they've developed genuine romantic feelings for one another. This didn't stop Hanabi and Mugi from befriending the Super Peace Busters and relating to Anaru and Tsuruko over being angsty about being ignored due to unrealistic expectations, plus they are open to the idea of just hanging out and even helping them out if possible. There's Menma sometimes teasing Hanabi and Mugi about being a couple, but they don't mind for the most part, given that she's still a kid with a precocious look on complex topics like romance.
  • The sextet managed to establish an Odd Friendship with the Ozazaki family, with Menma swimmingly getting along with Ushio and playing together whenever they have the chance. When conversing with Tomoya and Nagisa, they discovered that much like them, Tomoya went on a mentally broken spiral after Nagisa died giving birth to Ushio and that his daughter looking a lot like her mother played a reason for why Tomoya didn't look after her for five years. While the group, especially Jintan and Yukiatsu, could relate to the circumstances Tomoya endured, they would rather not converse things further, especially considering how Jintan and Yukiatsu's attempts at coping with Menma's death proved detrimental to their well-being. That said, they were happy to learn that Tomoya and Nagisa would get a happy ending, albeit after some ostensibly divine intervention from an afterlife version of Ushio's part. Nagisa's kindness reminds Jintan of his mother, Touko, being caring and polite at all times and willing to help, despite her frailty and she was similarly touched when Nagisa heard of the promise Menma made with Touko. Overall, both parties get along well, which is helped by Ushio wanting to be a part of the Super Peace Busters and spending more time playing with others, especially Menma.
  • On the subject of struggling with a loved one's death, the Super Peace Busters didn't expect themselves to be associated with Carl Fredricksen and were surprised about how his story turned out, outside of him losing his love, Ellie. Of course, this was about an old man who decided to turn his house into a mobile transport hub by attaching it to a thousand balloons, all to fulfill a desire he made for Ellie by taking it to Paradise Falls in the Amazon. It was a very touching story, to say the least, even with the involvement of a young wilderness explorer who wanted to get a badge for assisting the elderly, a dog who can "talk English" thanks to a transmitter, a giant supposedly prehistoric bird, and having to deal with an insane explorer who wanted to capture said bird and was once Carl's childhood hero. The group quickly realized that Carl looked up to Ellie in the same way they did to Menma and that affection warped him into a gruff, cynical wreck shortly after Ellie died, but given that Carl has accepted her death, thanks to her diary entry documenting her married life as an adventure and to encourage her husband to go have another one and found companionship in Russell and Dug, it seems appropriate that the Super Peace Busters also cherish the times and moments they can make for each other in their world and in the Pantheon. This allowed Carl to get along with them and consequently, Russell and Dug also saw them as good friends to hang out with. The group figured that hooking a lot of balloons in their childhood hut would have been something they'd entertain doing if they were kids, but they're alright with just them hanging out with an eager wilderness explorer and an ostensibly talking dog, as well as an old man with quite the unique experience.
  • Perhaps among the most interesting meetups for the Super Peace Busters came in the form of a similar group of friends who also underwent a similar tragedy, except in this case, the self-loathing aspect was much worse. Jintan and Sunny could relate to being hikikomori's for a long period of time, but even the former recoiled in shock at the fact that Sunny killed his sister, Mari by pure accident and his own guilt over the event consumed him so badly it left him a mental, physical, and emotional wreck. Thankfully, he's become more open to his emotions and feelings and is mentally recovering, but it's still a sobering thought, especially for Menma. Both parties acknowledged how alike they were and agreed that talking about their past, angst, issues, and their resolution at least once would be good enough for them to ease up their burdens, seeing as while the Super Peace Busters have found acceptance and peace, Sunny and his party are gradually still recovering, but regardless, the former is happy to hear that the latter is trying to be better than before. Menma hopes to meet Mari one day, feeling that they would probably make good friends if they ever do so, to which both groups nodded that they would, given how similar the two girls were to one another.
  • While the House of Undead and Phasmata isn't really a place they'd want to go to, Menma is regarded as an honorary member of the Hall of Ghosts. Given her nature and reputation, it was surprisingly easy for her to traverse there, and luckily for her, there were a number of ghosts there who were good-hearted people in their mortal lives and as undead specters. Of the ghosts there, Menma most easily gets along with Casper, as they became friends almost instantly after they met and the two of them just hang around with each other a lot, either playing games, looking out for new places, or simply having nice, childish conversations to keep each other happy and entertained. Yuyuko Saigyouji and Reimi Sugimoto were another pair of ghosts who got along with Menma pretty well, with the former being eager to introduce Menma to a bunch of new games and habits to play in as well as share some interesting tales and stories about herself and anything she's known and seen while the latter was touched by Menma's Ghostly Goals and saw her as an admirable girl, not to mention Reimi's dog Arnold was quick to getting Menma's attention and she didn't waste time wanting to hang out with him, despite Arnold's still-open Slashed Throat giving him a rather creepy appearance. Speaking of, Reimi would rather not mention her death or even mention her killer, Yoshikage Kira, feeling that his tale is not worth telling to Menma as doing so would cause trouble later down the line. On the other side, the Bedtime Stories Crew took interest in the Super Peace Busters regarding the supernatural activity surrounding Menma and were open to making a video documenting their tale, deciding to forgo their usual emphasis on horror in favor of telling a more homegrown, emotional, and bittersweet tale. Fortunately for them, they were able to get the group's blessing in using their tale as a feature for one of their videos. The Bedtime Stories Crew even opened up fundraising in conjunction with the video in the hopes that the proceedings went to the Super Peace Busters and to families and friends undergoing grievances over the loss of their loved ones, hoping that their content ends up helping others.
"Thanks for everything today. Tomorrow I’ll go to heaven. Please be my friends until the end."
Meiko "Menma" Honma
