Buxom Is Better was meant to be for In-Universe examples of people having a preference for someone because of their large chest. However, it has become a Pot Hole Magnet for tropers who find large-chested characters attractive. This has resulted in misuse and ZCE.

I believe this has arisen from the trope name, as it treats an opinion as fact. If a new name is used, it should be more about the attention a character gets because of their large bust. Something like Bust Focus, Big Bust Focus, or Buxom Beauty Standard.

  • Feeling Their Age: In Chapter 5 Lilie starts to feel back pain as she took a stretch. Malorie whispers to the other characters that more of her old age is kicking in and that it’s because of those huge knockers of hers. She's seen as less attractive because of her chest, Inverted
  • Silver Vixen: Queen Lilie herself. Despite being elderly, she is described as and appears to have a curvy and busty figure, in official artwork and narrations of this story. Especially the busty part, which is usually intended for suggestively comedic purposes. Pot Hole

  • Freudian Slip: Martin, when talking about his confusing Jane Russell and Jayne Mansfield.
    They were both very big... in their careers.

  • Honey Trap: The player can easily fall for one in "The Price of an D-Cup" substory, where Kiryu rescues a well-endowed woman named Mai from a drunk. She then takes him out for drinks and tries to seduce him with dirty talk. Depending on the choices made, Kiryu might wake up outside with his money stolen, or get into a fight where he can learn about a hidden casino.
• The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer in Another World: She has a very large chest that leaves Teltina envious. Might be better as A-Cup Angst for the other character
• Almost Live!: Played with in a man-on-the-street sketch where they asked people which they liked better: normal breasts or sudden Gag Boobs.

  • Buxom Is Better/Gag Boobs: Chikase, whose bust is as well-known as her reporting skills.
• Recap/Monty Pythons Flying Circus S 1 E 9: Brian Equator sees Iris (Carol Cleveland) at the party and says "You've got a nice pair, haven't you?"
• Maken Ki Protagonists
  • Buxom Is Better: By his own admission, which is one of the main reasons he's got the hots for Haruko, who's an H-Cup.
  • Patient Childhood Love Interest: Ever since meeting Haruko again, now that she's grown into his ideal woman. Problem is, she keeps saying she isn't interested in him that way. But he hopes one day that she will, which is why he turned down Inaho.

Meanwhile, Otto is friendly with Sacharissa and tempted to fall off the wagon at the sight of her 'heaving bosom', and he spends much of the book befriending William and helping him face his own prejudices.
• Comic Book/Manifest: Tessa briefly agonizes over her huge breasts before accepting her figure as "kind of hot." Multiple male characters are seen to appreciate them too. Better as D-Cup Distress but still used correctly
• Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story: One of the women at the nightclub compliments Mei on her assets.
• Da Ali G Show: Ali G says to a group of doctors and experts on medical ethics that he heard that some women got their breasts reduced. He thinks it's selfish as it's just one woman getting rid of backache, but pleasure is taken away from numerous men. One really cool doctor (who might have figured out that they were being trolled) politely explains to him that those breasts are grossly enlarged and not attractive. Ali assures him he was talking about nice ones, and the doctor suggests that it's a matter of taste. Ali is impressed and wants to chat about that after.
• A Certain Dark Railgun and Imagine Breaker:
  • A-Cup Angst: It wouldn't be Mikoto if she didn't have this complex from the canon series, especially seeing most of the other girls who hanged around Touma having "weapons of mass destruction" on their chest during the times she followed him around. Pot Hole could also be Unusual Euphemism

  • Basically defied for Ash's female companions; Misty and Iris are rather put out by their growing breasts, and it's observed that Ash isn't that bothered about their size in that regard anyway. D-Cup Distress would be a better fit
• Strawberry Vinegar: Licia tells Rie it wouldn't be all that nice bathing with her anyways since she's not "cushiony" like her older sisters, which upsets Rie.
• Pride and Prejudice: Austen describes her as "a stout, well-grown girl of fifteen". Note "well-grown" as a euphemism. I'd add that well-grown is a euphemism for large breasts
• Dagashi Kashi: Kokonotsu, at least according to his father, has a thing for large breasts. Which partially explains his attraction to Hotaru.

  • In Pokémon Reset Bloodlines, Elite Four member Lorelei is tall and has a voluptuous figure, has many men trying to ask her out, and even Erika has expressed interest in her. Unfortunately for everybody, she's already in a happy relationship with her boyfriend Frey.
• Dragon Quest: Your Story: Invoked ^note  at the very least in the Italian dub by Bianca, when Luca tells her he refused the hand of Nera for the sake of another woman, prompting her to misunderstand and asks him if he fell for the first Brainless Beauty with a nice rack he ran into.
• Shining Resonance
  • One skit has Primula say she hopes she gets boobs like Sonia's, when she gets older, so she can get back at Rapple for making fun of her "pancakes".
• Trapped In A Dating Sim The World Of Otome Games Is Tough For Mobs Marie Route
  • Appearance Angst: Due to not fitting Leon's Type, thanks to her determined efforts to learn healing magic halting her growth. She was more confident in her past-life body.
• Love and Rockets: This trope gets Played With many different ways throughout the series. Luba's breasts are enormous. So are those belonging to most of her female relatives, especially her mother Maria and half-sisters Fritz and Petra. Their huge busts are constantly commented on by others and are a very integral part of the character arcs of Luba, Maria, and the rest of the girls in the family. The attention they receive runs the realistic gamut from fascinated and aroused men, disgusted men with a preference for thinner women, and jealous women who call them names like "blimp-chest." Luba in particular has complained that her build makes people automatically assume that she's a whore.
• NotAlwaysRight: According to these customers, it is, to the point where the employee's C-cups^note Generally considered on the big side. are "tiny" to them. Correct use, but depending on the country a C cup can be average or below average
• Webcomic/Pusonicomi:
  • Ambiguously Bi: Although Tetra and Mitrarashi are male and female in real life respectively, Mitarashi is the one seen being a pervert most often, at one point giving herself massively increased breasts after a Salon visit and occasionally making lewd remarks and Imagine Spots toward Tetra's character. She is also seen having romantic fantasies about Dolche, who is a female CAST.

• Code Geass:
  • Big-Breast Pride: Milly is extremely well endowed and very proud of it. Notably, a Toplessness from the Back shot of her standing up in the bath still displays considerable amount of Sideboob. Pot Hole doesn't really add anything to the description, feels like a troper's opinion
• Goblin Slayer: Traveling Companions and Loved Ones
  • Adaptational Curves: While she is big in the Light Novels, Manga, and Anime, it's more pronounced in the anime. The increase in size is subtle, though. • Doctor Who S23 E4 "The Ultimate Foe": The Time Lords saved, the random Time Lady presiding over the trial tells the Doctor that Peri survived and is living with King Yrcanos after his rambling that she would be his queen... for some reason. Ms. Fanservice would he more appropriate
• Innocent Fanservice Girl: Baalah from Pawn. A ridiculously buxom, most likely lesbian, perpetually naked demon girl. She apparently doesn't even own any clothes.

  • Cleavage Window: In Hollow Fragment and Hollow Realization, but averted in Lost Song courtesy of a breastplate. Very noticeable given the size of her chest.
• To Your Eternity
  • Ms. Fanservice: Her overall outfit consists of shorts and a tank top underneath her jacket that exposes her rather large breasts.
• Characters/Godannar
  • Ms. Fanservice: Shizuru is practically sex incarnate with her sizable, round breasts and defined and shapely ass. Oh, and did we mention she actually works out to keep her belly, legs and arms perfectly-chiseled? Yeah...
  • Victoria's Secret Compartment: A particularly memorable scene has Shizuru on a formal event and in formal dress get a urgent phone call. Cue her ample breasts vibrating like crazy.
• Fire Emblem: Awakening: Not exactly large, but still more notable than her normal outfit. WMG page
• Femme Fatale Spy:
  • Agent327: The voluptuous Olga Lawina is a Swiss spy, who is very attractive and has rather large breasts. In the series she is a double spy, sometimes siding with Agent 327 but other times siding with the enemies, which makes her very unpredictable. Doesn't say if her large chest is what makes her appealing In-Universe
• Radar/Digimon: Emphasis on Rosemon's Digivolution as well as transition from local Bridge Bunnies to Lovely Angels (training suit with loose zipper).

  • Fanservice Extra: The well-endowed High Elf noblewoman at the Alliance meeting in Stromwind ^note Canonical art and in game models of the High Elves depict the women as being slender wears robes which show off her cleavage and midriff.
• Chainmail Bikini: Shelinda of Seijuu Sentai Gingaman however, pushed this by dressing as skimpy as possible; Bare Your Midriff, Seashell Bra, Underwear of Power and that she wore no stocking of any kinds.   • The channel's biggest trump card so far is Debby Ryan, who is Buxom Is Better and Shes Got Legs compliant. Zero context
  • Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter), even more so in Angel. She's hot and she knows it. She certainly stands out among her more petite female co-stars like Buffy, Willow and Fred. When Angel gives her a necklace, she proudly talks of how it emphasizes her breasts. Correct use
