A spell botched by Happosai sends Ranma and Nabiki away for three days. But was it all that happened to the two?

No Need for Destiny is a Mega Crossover featuring Ranma ½, Sailor Moon, Naruto, Ah! My Goddess, Slayers, Tenchi Muyo!, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Grenadier.

It was written by David Richards and began online publication on May 6th, 2006. It stands incomplete at 21 chapters, the most recent of which was published on October 3rd, 2009.

No Need for Destiny provides examples of:

• A God I Am Not:
  • After the fall of the Silver Millennium Enma and Chibi-Ranma attempted to speed up their loved ones reincarnation. However the two didn't take into account that Serenity anchored those souls to Earth in the Sol System, so they ended up creating two Sol-type systems. Ranma then forced the two to watch over the systems.
  • Since Enma was the last remaining Royal, the Senate-or what had been formed of the remaining planetary Senates after the Great Fall-had proclaimed him ruler until Serenity returned and assumed her throne on Selene once more. With a heavy heart, he relented to their demands, and assumed control over Alpha Centauri.
• A Million Is a Statistic: Averted after everything done to prevent it the Great Fall hit the survivors really hard in addition to all the personal loved one's about ninety-nine percent of Earth's population died due to Metaria using Cast from Hit Points to control them. For the Sol System as a whole, eighty-seven-point-six percent of the fleet either died or was crippled; and sixty-three percent of the population died or they never found the body.
  • Even out of the Royal family only Enma and his mother survived.
• All There in the Manual: Averted the nature of the narrative means that there are many things still unknown about the 20000 years of Ranma and Nabiki's life or the lives of their family and friends. Exactly how many kids do they have, is Tenchi's mother Achika or Tennyo. The fact that this is a multicrossover makes this all the more harder as given who they are the character's lives can be inferred it is really nothing more then Wild Mass Guessing such as Yajirou Kojima Kuramitsu most likely being apart of the Shinmei-ryu. Or the fact that it is highly unlikely Mihoshi's breakdown came from an arranged marriage.
• Always Someone Better: It irked Kami-sama when he found out about the old gods.
• Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: When Nabiki told Queen Venus about Chibi-Ranma's past relationship problems Ranma knew that knowing his son was going to hate Nabiki for telling these tales-the fact Miyuki would was a given-and that Chibi-Ranma would hate him for not stopping it. Oh well.
• And I Must Scream: Ranma used 20 gravitation Bombs to trap Kain within the border between space and time, between our universe and the next.
• Anger Born of Worry: Lona was furious that Enma didn't send her a message telling her he was okay.
• Anti-Advice: Ranma used his father to explain to his children why doing something was wrong and inadvertently creating the phrase 'What are you, a panda, don't do that!'
• Armor-Piercing Attack: Ranma's Möko Takabisha went through Kain's force field like tissue paper.
• Armor-Piercing Question: The Juraian Advisor gave Ranma one to get him to take his education seriously after learning of Genma's plan's of having him run the Tendo Dojo while having never bothered to teach him or let him learn how to actually run a dojo.
  Advisor: So, without an understanding of how a dojo is run, how do you plan to run one? Do you plan to trust your father to run it for you honestly?
• As Long as There Is Evil: This was one of the ways Ranma was convinced to take over the Seniwa Corporation.
• Avenging the Villain: Combined with revenge before reason the designers and fellow team members of the mercenaries or AI systems sent to kill Ranma and Nabiki Kuramitsu were furious at the loss of their comrades and inventions and thus sent more.
• Awesome, but Impractical: Ranma created a technique that essentially causes slow controlled Explosive Overclocking. Unfortunately it was a Flawed Prototype and he quickly grew to powerful to stop it.
  • Averted as Ranma was able to eventually perfect it
• Awesomeness by Analysis: The fact that Mousse is a master of Hidden Weaponry it is pretty much expected that given how much he attacks him Ranma would learn at least the basics of the technique.
• Bad Boss: Dynast Grausherra Xellos noted that while Zellas might have been the weakest of the Mazoku Lords, she would have at least retrieved his body, if for nothing else than to retrieve her power or restore him. Something Dynast Grausherra never bothered due to the fact she had out lived her usefulness.
• Badass: It turns out that the original Ranma was more this than some thought as the fact that Ryoga has the blood of an elder god in him makes it all the more impressive that Ranma was able to defeat him.
• Beat the Curse Out of Him: Xellos did this to his sister after resurrecting her when she had brainwash residue.
• Be Careful What You Wish For: Kain gained immortality and ultimate power and all it cost was his freedom.
• Been There, Shaped History: Pretty much the plot of the series.
  • Played with in that once they find out they were sent to the past they tried to their best to prevent this only for it to turn out that they already changed the history.
  • Hippolyta Artemis Kuramitsu created the Amazon nation.
• Berserk Button: Ranma does not like for his children to be put in arranged marriage's Queen Serenity was shocked at how vocal he had been when she had suggested Usagi and Prince Endymion's betrothal like that.
  • You do not call Ranko a cow.
  • You do not forget to write to Lona letting her know you're okay.
• Beyond the Impossible: Enma at the tender age of almost four ... without any training was able to teleport to the Gates of Time ... without any formal ceremony to give him access to either the needed power for such, or the ability to pass the safeguards for such.
• Big Bad: Kain was this for the first part of the story before Ranma and Nabiki returned to the Sol System.
  • Orichalcum and Queen Metaria were this to the Silver Millennium arc.
• Big Damn Heroes: Ranma getting a gut feeling that the Moon Kingdom was under attack and rushing to save them.
• Birth-Death Juxtaposition: After Mikumo was born Washu steadily got weaker and weaker due to her aura gainin in strength which her body was unable to handle the strain of.
  • Averted as it was the seal on her godhood being broken.
• Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Tai seemed nice enough when he was first introduced but you quickly realize that he is just a sleaze trying to pick up a depressed drunk woman he met in a bar then ran away upon finding out she was pregnant. Finally when Nabiki caught up to him gave him a subdued the reason you suck speech telling him to leave he tried to play the victim card and blame her merely so that he could abandon the child guilt free.
• Boring, but Practical: This was Kain's plan to deal with Ranma and Nabiki knowing that their papa wolf mama bear tendencies would lead them to giving a heroic sacrifice as well as the previous failed assassination would mean they would be on guard. All that he and the remaining board members needed to do was bide their time.
• Brainwash Residue: Despite her memories being restored the first thing Washu did after being reunited with Ranma was give him a Megaton Punch as she was still being affected by 20000 years of fake memories.
• Brilliant, but Lazy: While Hippolyta was well taught in Infinity School, and definitely had the mind for GP work she wanted a stable life, a job where she could enjoy the nightlife. She didn't want a massive responsibility like her older siblings had, she wanted ... well, middle management.
• Brother–Sister Incest: Mikumo and Miyuki ended up marrying each other.
• Cassandra Truth: Ryoga telling his mother that the earth had been destroyed and then was magically better.
• Cast from Hit Points: Orichalcum and Queen Metaria's demonic possession uses the victims life force.
  • All Senshi have one attack that would drain their magic to the point it would consume their lifeforce as well.
• Clueless Chick-Magnet: This seems to a Kuramitsu family trait
• Combat Pragmatist: Ranma using Kain's ability to absorb mass to detonate 60 graviton bombs inside his body.
• Comically Missing the Point: When water torture didn't work in getting Ranma to take his studies seriously she threatened that if he didn't get an A on the next series of testing then some special guards would get a few dates with the single granddaughter of the former head of Seniwa. Ranma replied that his mom didn't have a girl.
• Covert Pervert: It turns out Rushuna Tendo Kuramitsu is this.

• Crash-Into Hello: This is how Ranma and Washu met.
• Crazy-Prepared:
  • Due to the fact that Akane doesn't always wait for him to reply before sending him flying with something Ranma always keeps his pack with him using the Hidden Weaponry Technique allowing him to carry around a tent and sleeping bags everywhere he goes.
    Nabiki: Two sleeping bags?
    Ranma: Never know who'll get sent with me.
  • The crystal Tomiki gave Chibi-Ranma allowed him to ignore statis fields.
  • Queen Venus took a fake hand with her when Serenity went into labor
• Create Your Own Villain: Ranma and Nabiki are responsible for turning Kain into an Eldritch Abomination
• Creepy Child: Mikumo,Miyuki, and Chibi-Ranma at least to the men who tried to kidnap them.
  • Nabiki was also a little creped out by the fact that they thought the No-Holds-Barred Beatdown they put on the men was all a game.
    Nabiki: They think this is a game?
    Ranma: Fastest way to get them to learn is to make it so they enjoy doing so. What, you expected my to teach them like Pops did me?
    Nabiki: No, but that still doesn't mean I'm going to stop watching you.
  • They were this to the security forces as well due to the fact that they continued to brutalize the men long after they were unconscious while the security forces watched. Before going off to talk animatedly with the other students about how they defeated the bad guys.
• Cruel Mercy: Nabiki did this to the leader of the men who tried to kill Miyuki and Mikumo. While his men were all instantly killed she trapped hip in a temporary and now I must scream situation
  Nabiki: I've opened the shaft to vacuum as well, so you won't be going anywhere. Add to that provide heat and life support for another few hours at best.
  Leader: Why not kill me now?
  Nabiki: Simple; I want you to suffer. Enjoy your stay, for however long it lasts.
  • This Ranma why let the men who tried to kidnap his children live because a dead man tells no tales ... or scream when you make him tell those tales.
• Curb-Stomp Battle: Ranma's first spar with Chibi-Ranma ended up sending him sixteen centimeters into the wall and hit the junction that controlled the gravity. Thus, Ranma was slammed back down to the floor and experiencing close to two hundred times standard gravity; eight times the highest he had ever trained in. Suffice to say, he received a few injuries.
• Daddy Had a Good Reason for Abandoning You: As the child of an active goddess, Chibi-Ranma was born with a large amount of power. If he was not taught properly, he may injury innocents. So Tokimi didn't tell Ranma about him until he summoned Mikumo and Miyuki to him.
  • Minaho was pulled off Edo due to her injuries and couldn't return because it was a sealed systems while Arashi sealed his soul inside your body.
  • Not only did Michio not know that Ikue was pregnant when she got lost it took him 19 years to find her.
  • Played with Ranma was always apart of the lives of the children he had with Queen Venus, Setsuna, and Queen Serenity but he just couldn't publicly claim them as it could be seen as a way for Seniwa to gain influence or even control. Over the Sol System.
  Ranma: I don't want to be that type of Dad, I still remember the hurt in Mikumo's eyes ... when he asked about his mother.
  Nabiki: I remember,
  Ranma: Am I going to have to do that to my own children some day?
  Nabiki: We won't leave them, Ranma-kun, they ... just won't be company children. We already have children and grandchildren like that.
• Dangerous Forbidden Technique: Using the Ginzuishou to both seal evil in a can as well as her daughter, Prince Endymion, and the Guardian Senshi to be reborn in the furture. While anchoring their souls to earth so that they aren't reincarnated in Another World caused her her life.
  • For Sailor Saturn it's using the Lighthawk Wings outside of her and Ran's practice as the very act could damage her body and even her soul.
• Deal with the Devil: Hild went to Ranma and Nabiki to stating that she would make it so that whatever moves they make will not change history as they knew it. However what she wanted wasn't their souls but Ranma himself
• Death of a Thousand Cuts: This is how Ranma killed Orichalcum
• Despair Event Horizon: Ran after Sailor Saturn died.
• Determinator: Even after all of his underlings and colleagues were either dead, captured, or missing Kain continued to try and take over Seniwa.
  • He was also able to acquire part of a damaged Jurian Tree Ship which was nothing short of a miracle
• Dirty Coward: General Fuji Sukai in an effort to make a name for himself when he came across the lost Ranma and Nabiki he ordered the Royal Guards to slaughter them without question only stopping them when the emperor's guardians showed up. Throughout the entire fight he held back to the rear never making a move to fight himself.
  • Later after he was court martial for this he attempted to assassinate Ranma and Nabiki in their sleep.
  • Kain only faced Ranma went he had no other choice and he thought that everything was in his favor. The moment he found out exactly how strong Ranma was he ran away.
• Dirty Old Man: Sugoroku Mutou
• Disappeared Dad: Tai which is why he was useless to Kain's plan to get control over Miyuki
• Divine Parentage: Washu to Mikumo and Tokimi Chibi-Ranma
  • There is also Hild to Xelloss and Sherra
• Dodgeball Is Hell: Stunner is sport in the Silver Regency similar to the child game of Dodgeball, except it is magic-based, with a limited amount of spells allowed. The object is to fire stun spells at the opposing team, while trying to deflect or redirect fired spells away from your person. Some teams have played games without firing a single spell, but redirecting the other team's own spells back at them.
• Does This Remind You of Anything?: In universe Queen Serenity and Sailor Pluto coming to Ranma to ask for his help in producing strong heirs was a little too close to the Amazon ideals for Nabiki's liking.
• Don't Make Me Take My Belt Off!: Played with to get her youngest daughter Ranko to behave Nabiki threatened to call Seto to see if she knew any available men.
• Don't Celebrate Just Yet: After Ranma came to prevent him from stealing Nabiki's embryos Kain revealed that he sent Gravity Bombs at the ship holding Miyuki and Mikumo
• Don't Ask: This was Ranma's reply when Nabiki asked what they would do if the Jurai didn't listen
• Dreaming of Things to Come: A combination of this and his fear of Seto is why Sugoroku Mutou Kuramitsu came to earth.
• Drowning My Sorrows: Nabiki after finding out that Washu was pregnant and that she and Ranma were getting married.
• Due to the Dead: Despite being a Mazoku Lina took the time to give Sherra a proper burial.
• Deus ex Machina: Chibi-Ranma just just happening to practice the spell to teleport his family to him the moment Miyuki and Mikumo were about to be killed.
  • However he his the son of a goddess so it could be a case of Fridge Brilliance
• Embarrassing Nickname: As he grew older Chibi-Ranma became this which is why he took Sailor Saturn's suggestion to go by Ran
  • Enma does not like the title of Jade Dragon given to him by the sealed systems.
• Epic Fail: During their first night stranded on an alien planet Nabiki managed to melt the pot used to cook their food even though the camp fire hadn't been lit yet.
  • Nabiki hired some of the best doctors within their field that designed some of the best contraception widely used. Not only did they all fail Ranma impregnated seven embryos at the same time.
• Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Despite not bothering resurrect her until being contacted by Hild Xellos was discussed by Dynast Grausherra's treatment of his sister.
  • However he cropped it up more to being half human so this might be an aversion.
• Everyone Can See It: Miyuki and mikomo's relationship wasn't that hard to spot
  Miyuki: How long have you known?
  Nabiki: Oh, since about your second birthday, when you and Mikumo couldn't stop taking naps with each other.
• Exact Words: While the intent of Chibi-Ranma's spell was to summon his father Ranma Kuramitsu, he wasn't specific enough. The wording caused the spell to seek out the closest male relative. As his father only shares half of his DNA with him, the DNA shared by the Goddesses adds to that, making Mikumo Kuramitsu a closer match as far as the spell was concerned.
• Fake Ultimate Hero: This was General Fuji Sukai plan to invoke this trope so that when the empire eventually gives birth to a daughter he would be the obvious choice to be princesses groom.
• Fantastic Racism: Many on Earth despised the other kingdoms of the Silver Millennium, if for nothing else than that they seemed to see themselves as superior to them.
• Fate Worse than Death: During the battle with Z Mikumo's ship was knocked across the universe to causing it to take him months to get back
  Mikumo: Do you have any idea how long it takes to get back to this galaxy through Hyperspace from the Outer Edge?
• Foil: Midori could probably be considered this for Madara
• Forbidden Fruit: enma always wondered in Minaho Masaki and Arashi Kuramitsu attraction to each other was because of this
• From Nobody to Nightmare: Though he had long since gone over the Moral Event Horizon Kain was still a Corrupt Corporate Executive attempting a Hostile Takeover however after during his fight with Ranma he was transformed into a Eldritch Abomination
  • He was also only took over the efforts in assassinating the Kuramitsu line after the current Seniwa leaders were dealt with none of the survivors even knew who he was when he usurped leadership from a bunch of Corrupt Corporate Executive who relied far to much on Chronic Backstabbing Disorder and Revenge Before Reason.
  • Played with kain wasn't exactly a Harmless Villain to begin with as he had made several nearly successful attempts on their lives.
• Gambit Roulette: Washu knowing that Naja was going to throw her a party decided to go to the Galaxy Science Academy early however Naja anticipated this and had a surprise party waiting
• Gender Bender: A few of the men who tried to assassinate Misaka Kuramitsu and take over Seniwa did this to hide from Jurai when Ranma was discovered.
• Generation Xerox: Chibi-Ranma looks exactly like his father only with Tokimi's eyes and hair a blend of red and brown, giving it a copper appearance.
  • Chibi-Ranma also inherited Ranma's Chick Magnet status.
  • Ranko Kuramits looks so much like her fathers cursed form that she was forbidden from killing Tatewaki Kuno.
  • Queen Pluto looks like a slightly older version of her daughter. The only difference is that her hair is a lighter green
• Genius Bruiser: After two years of intense study at the Galaxy Science Academy Ranma gained the mental baulk to back up his physical talents
• Genius Ditz: According to Washu Ranma can be a bit dense at times
  • Rushuna Tendo Kuramitsu
• Gone Horribly Right: Given the massive size of the Kuramitsu including marriages and Children produced by other woman you can just picture Nodoka doing the victory fan dance...
• Good Parents: Ranma and Nabiki
  • A great example of this how Ranma helped Enma get over his Survivor Guilt staying with him, watching him, and comforting him, as the nightmares returned. Enma himself started that Ranma is the reason he was able to even start to bounce back from the Fall, let alone tolerate running the Alpha Centauri Systems
  • With the exception of Genma every parent is shown to be one even Hild in her own way.

• Hanlon's Razor: Ranma ultimately come to the conclusion that this applies to his father as being evil would have required Genma Saotome to have an IQ larger than the number of pieces on a shogi board. He acts stupidly, without full knowledge of the situation, and without regard to others and this make's him seem evil.
• Heart Is an Awesome Power: In order to get Ranma and Nabiki ready to take over the Seniwa Emperor Mikado Jurai gave them the best tutors the empire could offer, before they go off to attend the Galaxy Science Academy. When Nabiki asked how science would help them run a business he replied with this trope.
  Emperor Mikado Jurai: The lessons on available technology would be invaluable, as well as their business programs are suited towards such jobs as what you and your fiancé will be encountering.
• Heir Club for Men: Inverted during the Silver Millennium the first born of any of the royal lines on any of the worlds except for Earth, is a girl. Which is why it was such a shock when Enma was born.
• Henpecked Husband: Ranma
  • In fact it seems that all Kuramitsu are this as they as they seem to attract strong versatile woman
    • If it was one thing that put fear into a Kuramitsu, it was the wife of a Kuramitsu.
• Heterosexual Life-Partners: Played with given his curse during their time as just friends before she realized she loved him Nabiki mentioned how she was the closet woman to Ranma.
• Hidden Backup Prince: This was one of the rumors surrounding Enma's birth that there was a lost princess out there, somehow hidden to protect her.
• Hive Mind: Orichalcum is Made of Air and each piece is part of a hive mind.
• Hoist by His Own Petard: The chaos energy Gun Kain used in a desperate attempt to kill Ranma blew up in his face.
  • Misaka Kuramitsu set up a Batman Gambit for Genma to do this by leaving Nodoka a trust fund and only giving her access to it to pay off Genma's debts and lawyer fees. Before the training trip, he could have lived off the interest alone for the rest of his life comfortably. But now all oh his mishaps have almost drained it dry.
  • Enma taught his Tsundere wife how to perform a spell without the need of chaos words
  • Ranma was holding back in his fight with Orichalcum as he didn't want destroy the planet they were fighting on however after realizing that he couldn't influence Ranma he started gloating that he could influence other's as well as kill his children. Orichalcum was hoping that an angry Ranma would be easy to defeat but all it did was make Ranma desperate enough to end the fight as quickly as possible.
• Horrible Judge of Character: Miyuki has made horrible choices in woman she has tried to set her brother up with ranging from Yaoi fangirl to a mantis-like species that eat their mate after sex.
  • Miyuki has been trying to set her brother up with a girl her whole life all have ended in catastrophe.
  Miyuki: What about my friend Yuna that I set you up with?
  Chibi-Ranma: You mean the girl that wanted me to dress up as her "slave girl" that needed punishment?
  Miyuki: There was Natsume.
  Chibi-Ranma: She wanted me to take genetic stimulants because she wanted us to be "natural" to the point we were more animal than human.
  Miyuki: Okay, but you really enjoyed Juri.
  Chibi-Ranma: Yes, until she tried to get me involved in her planet's mating rituals, which require the male to sacrifice one of his testicles.
  Mikumo: Okay, so we all agree Miyuki has the worst taste in finding girls for you.
  • It reached the point that Ranma had to tell her to stop it
  Ranma: While we have the time, any special women in your life, son?
  Chibi-Ranma: No. I'm quite frankly surprised Miyuki could find someone for herself, considering the people she thinks are just 'perfect' for me.
  Ranma: Yes; you're big sister does have a bit of a problem with bad tastes when setting up her siblings.
  Chibi-Ranma: Yeah, it's enough to make me consider becoming a monk. Ten thousand years, and she has yet to find and try to set me up with someone without more baggage than a colony ship.
  Ranma: You'll find someone, son, and when you do, you'll know it was all worth it.
  Chibi-Ranma: They can't be any worse than that one girl whose species killed the male after mating.
  Ranma: We really do need to talk to her about her attempts.
  Chibi-Ranma: Please do, I don't want to hurt her, but one more bad blind date, and I will have to kill her ... for the safety of singles everywhere.
• Humanity Is Infectious: While Xellos doesn't hate the part of him that came from his father-especially the part which puts him in line for so many scenes of chaos but at times it really makes being a demon a difficult job due to this trope
• I Hate Past Me: The Older and Wiser Nabiki and Ranma never realize how bad they were until they had to reinsert themselves into their lives.
  Nabiki: Was I really so young. Short hair and a small time con artist; gee, I had it all.
  Ranma: Yeah, well I was sure a good catch. Aside from martial arts, I really didn't have much going for me. I'm half tempted to just show a bit of my IQ at school, just to see how many teachers I can make think that the End of Days is upon them.
• I Am Not Left-Handed: Though he stopped invoking Honor Before Reason Kain found out that Ranma never quite broke the habit of holding back just enough to defeat his enemies.
• Implacable Man:Kain after is transformation could completely No-Sell Ranma's Möko Takabisha
  • Even directly coming into contact with an exposed EPS conduit seemed to merely upset Kain
• Indy Ploy: Averted Kain admitted this was never his strongest skill
• Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain: While sympathetic maybe stretching it given that his overall plan was to invoke Fake Ultimate Hero to be chosen as the next successor to the throne then wait for the current Emperor to be either step down or get into an accident. However General Fuji Sukai couldn't catch a break. First upon coming across Ranma and Nabiki who he mistook for nobodies who had wandered on Imperial Land he had the royal guards attack them claiming they were there to assassinate the Emperor. Only for Ranma to prove to be skilled enough to fight them off until the Guardians arrived. This caused him to lose the distrust of the Emperor be disgraced before his men, and lost the possibility that he would be in position to marry a Princess of the Empire, let alone become the next Emperor. Later Fuji tried to assassinate the two in their sleep only to receive a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown and sent back to prison.
  Ranma: Could you guys put this back where it belongs ... and keep it there this time. I was kinda hoping to sleep without some asshole trying to kill me.
• Insistent Terminology: In universe people often wonder why Ranma keeps referring to his father as a panda.
• Insufferable Genius: Ironically it seems that Naja was this when she and Washu were growing up.
  Naja: Don't worry, as the soon-to-be-greatest scientific genius in the whole universe, I shall help you work on that!
  Washu: We'll see, Naja. We'll see.
  • Downplayed with Ranma while he's no where near the level Naja and Washu Ranma applies his academics with the same gusto he applies his martial arts as in he doesn't lose.
• Invisible to Normals: Hild can do this
• Irony: It turns out that Ranma is Ryoga's grandfather
• The Jailbait Wait: Played with due to slower growth, longer life, and the decided date that a Senshi of Saturn was truly capable of understanding the rigors that would be needed for them when they were to become Queen the age of majority on Saturn is forty. So Chibi-Ranma and Sailor Saturn had to wait to get married.
• Jerkass: General Fuji Sukai tried to kill two lost strangers just to advance his career goals.

  • Ranma was the one who suggested Enma's name as Enma was a Japanese deity who's supposed to rule the underworld, sort of like the Romans with Pluto or the Greeks with Hades.
  • It probably wasn't a good idea to name their daughter Hippolyta Artemis Kuramitsu
• Missing Steps Plan: After breaking out of prison Fuji planned on assassinating Ranma and Nabiki then convince the emperor that they really were assassins despite numerous witnesses and video evidence proving otherwise. He himself even lampshaded that he hadn't figured that part out yet.
  General Fuji Sukai: First, he would kill the male that held his team off until the Emperor's faithful Guardians had arrived. Then, he would kill the defenseless bitch that shared his bed. Then, back to his cell, and to work on a way to make certain the Emperor learned of the Outsider's trickery. It was a perfect plan concocted by the next Emperor. What could go wrong?
• Mommy Had a Good Reason For Abandoning You: Washu couldn't be with Mikumo due to trying to prove the existence of a higher-level being
• Never Found the Body: Kain did this to any of his allies who tried to take him down.

  Midori: He chose his path and now must follow it, no matter what it will cost him in the end. What happens to this branch of the Uchiha is none of my concern.
• Noodle Incident: When thinking of Haruka and Michiru date like in preparation for her up coming date with Ran she tried to figure out how a clown shoe, a potato gun, and something called "Little Jimmy" played into a date.
  • Ikue hibiki wondering into Area 51 and encountering one of The Greys.
• Not Quite Dead: The fact that Orichalcum is a Hive Mind allowed him to survive Ranma's attack. This also prevented him from being sealed away as he was technically dead when Serenity cast her spell.

Such as Queen Pluto trying to convince Sailor Pluto to go after Ranma even mentioning that she would do it if she wasn't already married.
• Power Perversion Potential: Discussed and averted in universe when Ranma offered to take a pregnancy to term after finding out she was pregnant with septuplets Nabiki stated that they had no idea how that would effect his curse and decided on other options.

• Pragmatic Villainy: This is what made Kain such a dangerous villain where his predecessors focused all their efforts in fighting Jurai allowing their wants, desires, and greed to control them. He realized that Ranma was the key to everything without him the Jurai wouldn't have a leg to stand on so he focus all his efforts into assassinating the last adult Kuramitsu as well as his spawn while at the same time averted Chronic Backstabbing Disorder
• Primal Scene: Averted Ranma and Nabiki took steps to prevent this
  Miyuki: Mommy and Daddy said we're not to bug them when they're making those noises, or it'll make us wet the bed till we're twenty.
  Mikumo: Yeah, Dad said our hair would fall out and we'd go blind.
  • Nabiki and Ranma became considerably more lovey-dovey as Miyuki, Mikumo, and Chibi-Ranma came closer to college age. It was a quickly learned trick to always be alert in their household, in case the happy couple was going at it. They usually gave off enough of a warning so that the children did not walk in on them and scar themselves for life.
    • This is also why they immediately scrubbed the place clean and changed all the furniture when they moved into the place their parents lived while they attended college as considering how amorous their parents were, they weren't about to sit on or touch anything.

  • It is actually a combination of this and Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny! as long as the Hibiki remains focused or if someone was with them they won't get lost but the moment that focus slips
• Reality Warper: Tokimi gave Ranma and Nabiki the gift of luck allowing them to find the places where they can do the most good.
• Reasonable Authority Figure: Queen Venus is one of the few queens who isn't afraid of Sailor Saturn for her power. She established first contact with Ranma and Nabiki and even took seeing what an arrogant Smug Snake Chibi-Ranma was in stride
  • Emperor Mikado Jurai despite the fact that he was told that Ranma assaulted his Royal Bodyguards he listened to Nabiki's explanation of what actually happened restrained Fuji when he tried to stop her and then asked his remaining guard to confirm if what she said was true.
• Relationship Upgrade: Given that this is a Tenchi Muyo crossover involving Mikumo and Miyuki Kuramitsu this was a given
• Revenge Before Reason: Averted with Kain many of the Corrupt Corporate Executive were killed when Seniwa was purged but Kain refused to allow the survivors to utilize this trope opting more for Pragmatic Villainy.
• Revenge Myopia: Orichalcum plans on destroying humanity and the world that Ranma protected when he killed him. Even though he was killed for trying to destroy the Silver Millennium and killing Ranma's kids.
• Royals Who Actually Do Something: The royal families of Silver Millennium are the main offensive/defensive power of their respective planets.
• Running Gag: Chibi's taste for a beloved children's character
• Sealed Evil in a Can* Due to the fact that Metallia was too far into Beryl's soul, using her own insecurities to keep her in control Queen Serenity was forced to seal her in a mini-universe.

• Stable Time Loop: It turns out that Ranma and Nabiki were supposed to be sent to the past.
  • The school Ranma invented to 'distance' himself from Anything Goes was in fact the school that Anything Goes was based on.
• Stating the Simple Solution: When they were captured by the Juraian Royal Bodyguards and placed into holding Nabiki asked Ranma what his plan was. His reply to hope that the Emperor listens to their explanation and that Genma hadn't done anything to piss the Jurai off.
• Sticky Fingers: After being cleared Ranma placed the sword Fuji tried to kill him with into his subspace pocket. Hoping that he could seel the alien sword once he and Nabiki got back home
• Succession Crisis: Enma being born as a boy caused this after all which is why Enma spent much more time in training with his father than with any tutors that the royals had access to. Even his education had been more cosigned to the tutors from Seniwa than from those of Sol.

  • The system stretches to all of Sol which is how the gods and the devils were also aware of the sealed systems because even though Ran is the son of an Old God preventing his history from being revealed Enma's is not so protected.
• "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Nabiki gave Tai one of these when he not only ran out on her after getting her pregnant but tried to blame her for it.

  • It turns out that Happosai didn't have nearly the amount of energy needed to send Ranma and Nabiki 20000 into the past and required the help of Tokimi to change a simple emergency teleportation spell for only distances of kilometers to what it needed to be.
• Too Dumb to Live: Not only did the cruise ship captain completely ignore Nabiki's presence until she forcibly established a link with his ship but after she told him that Gravity Bombs were aboard the ship he took the time to quote protocol to her. Forcing Nabiki to forcibly teleport everyone off the ship.
  • The rich brat who brought armor from Lona Inverse's shop while ignoring her advice on how to actually use the armor. Needless to say he was ripped to shreds by a forest dragon.
• Training from Hell: Nabiki's educational training of Ranma involved water torture repeatedly pouring hot and cold water on him to get him to concentrate.
• Translator Microbes: This is one of the girst of Tsunami on Jurai all can understand each other no matter what language they are speaking.

• Willfully Weak: Xellos and Sherra asked to go to Avalon to see if their massive power was just a result of their Superpowerful Genetics from being the children of Hild and Ranma or their actual skill as since Avalon is outside of the system they would have to start over from the bottom without any help.

• With Friends Like These...: When the arrival of Bastet slid the spotlight off of Solomon saving him from Yuki's wrath Arthur stirred the conversation back in his direction merely to see him squirm
