Main Characters
Ochako + Aliens
Quirk: Zero Gravity
An outgoing young girl who becomes the wielder of the Omnitrix. Her family has a construction firm that hasn't had any work in a long time, leaving them penniless, and as a result, she wants to become a heroine in order to make enough money to provide a decent life for her parents.
- Achilles' Heel: She can remove the weight of any physical object or person up to three metric tons per day. Awesome! Only problem is, once she reaches that limit or uses it on herself, she pukes. She gets better over time and not only vastly increases her daily limit, but also has no more issues using her Quirk on herself so she can effectively fly.
- Action Girl: With the Omnitrix, she kinda has to be one.
- Adaptational Badass: Has far more fights in this series, and proves herself to be a great wielder of the Omnitrix.
- Anti-Hero: Subverted. When questioned, Ochako reveals that the real reason she became a hero was in order to get money for her family, and Ochako herself worries that she is Secretly Selfish and isn't being a hero for the right reasons. However, she is reassured that wanting to get money to financially support her family is still a noble cause in it's own right and Ochako is just such a Nice Girl that she can't help but rescuing people for it's own sake anyway from the get-go, proving her as an All-Loving Hero just like Izuku.
- The Apprentice: For the Hero Agency Internships, Ochako chooses to go with Ben 10k.
- Badass Adorable: A cute and sweet girl, who between her control of gravity and Omnitrix, is happy to show you what it takes to be a heroine.
- Best Friend: With Izuku and Iida.
- Big Beautiful Woman: By Japanese standards, she's supposed to be on the plump side, though even then it seems like an Informed Attribute. Plump or not, she's still adorable.
- The Confidant: To Izuku, since she knows about One for All.
- The Cutie: Ochako is an optimistic, energetic, polite, and adorable young girl who just wants to help everyone that she can.
- First Friend: She's the first person Midoriya's age to befriend him at U.A., turning his Embarrassing Nickname into an Appropriated Appellation and brings him out of his shell with her constant cheeriness and support for him.
- Gravity Master: Her Quirk allows her to reduce the gravitational pull of whatever she touches to zero through pads on her fingertips, making it near weightless. Her main weakness is that if she overuses her powers she suffers vertigo symptoms.
- High-Heel Power: Her hero costume comes with high heels and she's an Action Girl who can kick asses any time. This is justified as her heels are spring-loaded and act as shock absorbers when she lands.
- Latex Space Suit: Her hero costume is a form-fitting suit with a helmet that resembles an astronaut's. She was going for the space theme when designing it. Not so much the form-fitting part.
- Only in It for the Money: Her initial reason for becoming a heroine is to earn money for her parents now that their construction company is out of work. When confessing this, she felt embarrassed that it wasn't for more pure-hearted reasons. However, it's heavily downplayed, as she's still an incredibly kindhearted girl who still wants to help people, and the others reassure her that doing so for her family is a noble and understandable motivation.
- Pink Heroine: She has traces of pink throughout her costume, her Quirk manifests as a pink color, and she is an All-Loving Hero.
- Pink Means Feminine: Her hero costume is primarily pink, white, and black.
Omnitrix Aliens
- Elemental Absorption: She can absorb fire.
- Elemental Powers: She has pyrokinesis.
- Flying Firepower: One of the first abilities she demonstrated.
- Living Lava: Her body is composed entirely of plasma and volcanic rocks.
- Confusion Fu: Upgrade's powers and unique physiology make her an unpredictable foe, as every machine she possesses has different abilities.
- Technopath: She can take over any machine by fusing with it, but has limits; if the machine is sentient, it can struggle with the possession and get free.
- Tron Lines: Galvanic Mechamorphs as a species have these, and they do well to add extra awesomeness to whatever tech they fuse with.
- Author Appeal: Transwitheplans' admitted favorite alien.
- Combination Attack: All of her Signature Moves involve multiple clones.
- Pint-Sized Powerhouse: One of the smallest aliens, but she packs a punch with her sonic scream.
- Shout-Out: Her design, according to the creator, was inspired by Tandemaus from 'Pokemon'.
- Super-Scream: Her most basic form of attack.
- Cool Helmet: Has a retractable visor.
- Making a Splash: Can shoot water, absorb it, and such.
- Nigh-Invulnerability: Her exoskeleton.
- Breath Weapon: Ice breathing, to be accurate.
- Combo Platter Powers: Intangibility + Ice Manipulation + Flight.
- Flying Firepower: A flyer with powerful ice breath abilities.
- An Ice Person: Though she's primarily used for his ice breath, Big Chill has several methods of freezing opponents including shooting ice beams from his hands, through physical contact, and by going intangible.
- Bizarre Alien Locomotion: She moves around by rolling on spheres attached to the bottom of her feet. She can remove these and use them as weapons as well.
- Fragile Speedster: She is physically frail and will usually fall after the first punch.
- Stealth Pun: Understanding her name involves saying it fast.
- Dr. Brainpart: "Grey Matter" is the main component of several central nervous system organs, including the brain.
- Incredible Shrinking Man: Ochako goes from whatever size she normally is, to about 6 inches tall.
- Lethal Joke Character: Compared to most of Ochako's other aliens, her powers seem pretty laughable and useless in a fight, but if well-used, she can become extremely useful and deadly. Demonstrated when she made a building collapse on the Challenger.
- Shorter Means Smarter: The smallest and smartest alien Ochako has.
- Super-Intelligence
- The Big Guy: The biggest of Ochako's aliens.
- Lightning Bruiser: While not the fastest of aliens, she's still speedy, super-strong, and has the ability to jump over skyscrapers.
- Punny Name: Forearms = Four Arms = 4 arms
- Red Is Heroic: She has red skin, and is in training to be a hero.
- Super-Strength: Her main power.
- Genius Loci: She may not be as big as an actual planet (though she is still quite tall), but she's been classified as a "living planet," hence her gravity powers. The sphere in his stomach represents the molten core of a planet.
- Gravity Master: As a living planet, she has her own orbit that she can manipulate at will, allowing her to control gravity. She can use it both manually, or go in planet mode and cause objects to gravitate around her.
- Story-Breaker Power: It's quite possible that she's not used terribly often since her abilities amount to controlling gravity, which makes her much harder than most aliens to be defeated in a realistic fashion due to the fact that Ochako could just make it hard for them to even move or launch them into space.
- Cyclops: She has a single eye on her head.
- Energy Absorption: Her main power allows him to absorb any form of light or energy attack directed at her, then channel it into his own attacks.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Accidentally overpowered Potential with one of her attacks.
- The Ace: Ochako's most powerful alien so far.
- Energy Absorption: She can absorb energy and fire it back at her opponents.
- Energy Beings: Shock Rock is living electricity with rocky armor.
- Shapeshifter Weapon: Her entire body, technically.
- Beware the Silly Ones: Upchuck doesn't seem very imposing at first glance, and her power to eat anything sounds completely ridiculous at first. However, because Ochako is a queen sample of a Gourmand, she's much stronger than Ben's Upchuck form.
- Counter-Attack: Upchuck's abilities are often used in this matter, being able to swallow enemy attacks and fire them right back.
- Eating the Enemy: Threatened to do this to Animo.
- Glass Cannon: Inverted. Ochako's Upchuck has the ability to 'eat' kinetic energy when attacked, and spit it back out.
Main Characters
Quirk: One For All
A young man with a deep love for heroes. He wishes to become a great hero who inspires peace across the world, much like his idol, All Might. While that dream initially seemed impossible due to him being born without a Quirk, a chance meeting with his idol gives him a chance to make his dream a reality.
- Achilles' Heel: One for All explicitly does not come with Required Secondary Powers, so Izuku breaks his bones every time he uses it. As he becomes more and more accustomed to his Quirk, this weakness becomes less and less of a problem over time, however.
- Action Hero: A hero in training to one day take All Might's place.
- Adaptational Badass: Develops Shoot Style earlier than in canon.
- Unlocks Blackwhip against Muscular.
- Alternate Character Reading: His hero name (and former nickname) "Deku" is an alternate reading of his first name "Izuku."
- Battle Cry: SMAAAAAASHHHHH!!!!!
- Be Careful What You Wish For: Midoriya always dreamed about becoming a superhero, something impossible as he was born Quirkless. After he meets All Might and grants him his Quirk, One For All, he discovers that his new Quirk isn't exactly helpful, as he leaves him with broken bones every time he uses. He has started to get a hold of it by now, but still…
- Born Unlucky: Literally. 80% of humans in the setting are born with a Quirk. He's one of the unlucky 20% who aren't. After receiving One For All, he begins considering himself Born Lucky for getting the chance of a lifetime.
- Calling Your Attacks: He picks it up from All Might, right down to some of his moves ending with "smash".
- Character Tics: Has a tendency to mumble when he's overthinking. As a Running Gag, it tends to creep people out who don't know him and haven't seen him do it before. Those who are familiar tend to shrug it off as an amusing eccentricity.
- Charles Atlas Superpower: While it's rarely brought up due to him usually having his Quirk to rely on, Midoriya is far stronger and more durable than any normal person could be even without using One For All. At 166cm in height (5'5"), he can lift the 255kg (560lbs) All Might on his shoulders and can withstand the blowback of One For All with just broken limbs, even after firing multiple punches. While his broken limbs may seem bad, this is actually very impressive because any regular person's arms would be blown clean off if they tried using One For All even once according to All Might.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Midoriya really had it rough growing up. He and Bakugo were initially good friends, but when Bakugo's Quirk manifested and Midoriya's did not, this led Bakugo to see him as inferior and bully him. To make it worse, when Bakugo accidentally fell into a river and Midoriya offered him help, Bakugo saw this gesture of kindness as pity and believed Midoriya looked down on him. This only made Bakugo's bullying of Midoriya worse, doing whatever he could to make his life a living hell, especially since no one ever corrected Bakugo's behavior. Almost no one, not even his own mother, expressed faith in him and quickly branded him as a failure. The bullying and ostracization was so horrible that it's heavily implied that Midoriya developed Imposter Syndrome.
- Bizarre Alien Biology: He has engines in his legs that look mechanical but are wholly organic and spit fire when he activates them.
- Character Tics: He constantly makes jerking hand gestures like a robot when he speaks.
- The Comically Serious: He constantly treats everything with the utmost seriousness.
- Extremity Extremist: Since his engines are located in his legs, he fights almost exclusively with kicks.
- Heroic Build: He's especially tall and broad-shouldered for his age, having trained for years to become a Hero as the latest in the Iida family line.
- Heroic Lineage: His family has been in the Hero business for generations and are famous for their Super Speed, which Izuku compares to All Might's.
- Milking the Giant Cow: He's prone to making jerking, robotic hand gestures while he speaks.
- Super-Speed: His family is famous for producing speedy heroes thanks to their shared Quirk, "Engine".
- Younger Than They Look: He's tall and extremely muscular for his age. Combined with his squarish features, he could easily be mistaken for an adult.
- Affectionate Nickname: Izuku still calls him "Kacchan", his cutesy simplified nickname from when they were kids.
- Ambition Is Evil: Subverted. Izuku considers Bakugou's drive to be the best at everything to be his single most admirable trait, following him around as a child in hopes that some of it would rub off on him.
- Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: His hair resembles a comic book starburst, matching his explosive Quirk.
- Born Winner: Bakugou is naturally smart and athletic on top of having a rare and powerful Quirk.
- The Bully: Is a jerk to anyone he sees as below him.
- Hot-Blooded: His default emotion is anger.
- Genius Bruiser: Naturally athletic and strong with excellent grades and a rare, powerful Quirk.
- Hand Blast: He primarily utilizes his Quirk through his hands.
- Having a Blast: Bakugou can create explosions at will by igniting his nitroglycerin-like sweat.
- Hero with an F in Good: For someone who wants to be a Hero, Bakugou's temperament is anything but.
- Jerkass Realization: After the exam arc, Bakugou is caught by Izuku as he rants to Ochako. Izuku, properly and finally fed up, ignores him and stops calling him Kacchan. Bakugou is hurt by this, but he can't explain why.
- The Ace: One of four students recommended to enroll in U.A. without having to pass the entrance exams, the others being Todoroki in Class 1-A.
- Adaptational Angst Downgrade: Didn't intern with Uwabami in this universe, instead opting to work with a hero called 'Snowfall', so her self-esteem isn't at an all-time low.
- Adaptational Badass: She's given Gwen's old spellbook and is learning magic.
- Crazy-Prepared: She knows how to do nearly anything with her Quirk, from nets to staffs to cannons to handcuffs.
- The Power of Creation: Her Quirk lets her convert her fat cells into objects ranging from steel bars to matryoshka dolls.
- Significant Wardrobe Shift: At the start of the story, Momo's costume is given a zipper for the front.
- Boring, but Practical: His Quirk just makes his skin incredibly hard and resistant, but given that hero fights tend to get close and personal, it is very useful.
- Fiery Redhead: A redhead who is one of the most excitable members of the class.
- Hero-Worshipper: Much like Midoriya was initially for All Might and Tenya is for the previous Ingenium, Kirishima also greatly admires and styled himself after a Pro, The Chivalrous Hero Crimson Riot.
- Instant Armor: His Quirk does this to his body.
- Nice Guy: He is friendly to everyone, even Bakugou, who constantly blows him off.
- Nigh-Invulnerable: Given his ability to harden his body, it's very hard to land an actual blow on him. He's virtually bulletproof and can't be harmed by bladed weapons either in his hardened form.
- Secret-Keeper: Finds out about the Omnitrix after being attacked by Kraab while hanging out with Izuku and Ochako.
- Abusive Parents: His father puts him in Training from Hell to make him powerful enough to surpass All Might.
- Secret-Keeper: Knows about the Omnitrix.
- Mechanical Lifeforms
- Pokémon Speak: The only thing he can say is "ship", repeated over and over again.
- Ridiculously Cute Critter: Everyone agrees!
U.A. High School
Class 1-A
- Animal-Themed Superbeing: Her Quirk allows her to bear the skills and abilities of a frog, like sticking on walls, jumping very high, and using her tongue as a weapon.
- Cute Monster Girl: You wouldn't expect a human frog to be this adorable.
- Frog Men: Not only does she have froglike features, but her entire family are all frog people.
- Jack of All Stats: Above-average agility, strength, intelligence, and special abilities.
- Nice Girl: Despite her blunt nature, Tsu wishes to be closer to her friends and prefers to be on a first-name basis with them.
- Secret-Keeper: Knows about Ochako with the Omnitrix and Ship.
- Adaptational Badass: Unlocked Black Ankh earlier, demonstrates it in his battle against True Edge.
- Dark Is Not Evil: His Quirk is a living shadow and he looks like a blackbird, but he is definitely on the side of good.
- Long-Range Fighter: He is great at keeping enemies away from him but has trouble if the enemy manages to close in through dodging or numbers.
- Meaningful Name: His first name roughly translates to "Unsavory Shadow" while his last name literally means "Eternal Darkness", both emphasizing the power and hard-to-control nature of his darkness-related Quirk.
- Multiform Balance: Depending on the surrounding light conditions, he has to sacrifice either the strength of his Quirk or his control over it. In bright light, his Dark Shadow is docile but also very weak and timid. In darkness, it's stronger but also harder to control as well. Later, he develops a technique of shrouding himself in Dark Shadow as a close-range option, trading range for improved defense.
- Non-Human Head: His head is bird-like in appearance, but everything else from the neck down is human. He also wears a red choker at all times, which hides his human neck to emphasize his bird head.
- Secret-Keeper: Knows about Ochako with the Omnitrix.
- Elemental Hair Colors: Blond-haired and lightning-focused.
- Meaningful Name: His first name means "electricity" and his last name means "lightning".
- Secret-Keeper: Knows about Ochako with the Omnitrix.
- Shock and Awe: His Quirk lets him emit intense amounts of electricity, but he can't control where it goes, it's mostly limited to an area around him, and his brain is short-circuited if he goes overboard.
- Action Girl: She can unleash powerful sound waves by plugging her earphone jacks into the speakers built into her boots.
- Bizarre Human Biology: Similar to Iida and his leg mufflers, Jiro has actual earphone jacks as part of her body, which she inherited from her mother. She can even plug them into her cellphone and listen to music.
- Boyish Short Hair: She is a snarky rock musician with short hair down to her chin.
- Goth: The rock fan variety. She wears a lot of black and has a dark aesthetic even in her hero outfit.
- Secret-Keeper: Knows about Ochako with the Omnitrix.
- Ship Tease: With Momo.
- Acid Attack: Her Quirk. She can control the pH and viscosity of the fluid she secretes from her skin, meaning it can be highly acidic and thick or barely acidic and slippery.
- Action Girl: She tends to get more up-close-and-personal than most of the 1-A girls, as she predominantly has been shown finishing her fights with punches after using her acid to close the distance.
- Black Eyes of Crazy: Subverted. Despite looking somewhat like a female Majin Buu, she's a nice, energetic heroine.
- Color Character: Pink as her appearance and hero name (the second one anyway) makes abundantly clear.
- Horned Humanoid: She has a small pair of yellow horns.
- Messy Hair: Not unlike Midoriya's, her hair sticks up in different directions.
- Animal Motifs: Monkeys, due to a mix of his tail and martial arts prowess.
- Bare-Fisted Monk: Unlike others whose fighting styles are based entirely on their Quirks, Ojiro fights using martial arts in combination with his tail for fast and acrobatic moves.
- Boring, but Practical: His Quirk is as simple as it gets, a sturdy tail that can be used for attacking, movement or as a third arm. Very useful, but not exactly flashy.
- Nice Guy: Ojiro has also been shown to be very sweet and humble, as he is a very caring and empathetic person when it comes to the emotions and well-being of other people.
- Tail Slap: His tail is part of his martial arts repertoire.
- Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: His hair looks like the jagged edge of a torn piece of tape.
- Deadpan Snarker: Despite his cheerful disposition, he's also notable for having some very snarky lines.
- Duct Tape for Everything: His Quirk is this. He can use it to swing around Spider-Man style, trap enemies with it, and many other possibilities.
- Keet: He's loud and show-offy and is quite easily one of the most energetic and fun-loving people in the class.
- Perpetual Smiler: He's never not seen with an angular, toothy smile most of the time.
- Personality Powers: He is very social, friendly, and outgoing. In other words, he likes to "stick" to people.
- Secret-Keeper: Knows about Ochako with the Omnitrix.
- The Big Guy: Subverted; though he is physically the largest student in class 1-A, and he can use his quirk to generate numerous fists for punching, he rarely gets to actually play this role. More often, he plays a reconnaissance role by generating extra eyes and ears and using the flaps of skin between his arms as giant eardrums.
- Creepy Good: He is far from heroic-looking, and according to extra material, his mask is used to hide a villainous-looking face, yet he's one of the gentlest kids in Class 1-A.
- Healing Factor: Shoji is capable of regrowing lost duplicate limbs, such as a double duplicate that was cut off from one of his limb branches during the forest trip.
- Multi-Armed and Dangerous: Has multiple limbs that can change appendages.
- Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: He can do this by duplicating more arms to punch with.
- The Cutie: Her bubbly, cheerful, energetic personality.
- The Faceless: For the most part, which is expected, as Hagakure is invisible all the time.
- Meaningful Name: "Toru" means "transparent", which is fitting since she's made transparent by her permanent invisibility. "Hagakure" means "hidden in leaves" when written as one word.
- Significant Wardrobe Shift: At the start of the story, Tooru gets a new costume since the author didn't like her running around naked.
- Agent Peacock: He loves to pose and is prone to flamboyant behavior.
- Awesome, but Impractical: His Quirk can fire powerful laser beams, but firing it hurts him.
- Power Incontinence: He needs a special belt to contain the "leaking" of his Quirk.
- Alliterative Name: Koji Koda.
- Creepy Good: He may be one of the sweetest students in Class 1-A, but that doesn't change the fact he can command an army of bugs to swarm someone.
- Elective Mute: He's such a Shrinking Violet that he rarely ever speaks when he isn't using his Quirk, instead preferring to communicate through sign language. He starts growing out of it as the story progresses, though he's still not talkative much.
- Gentle Giant: He is one of the bigger students in the class. He's quite possibly the gentlest one too.
- Acquired Situational Narcissism: Due to being a Butt-Monkey, on the rare occasions that Mineta does achieve anything, he'll suddenly develop an overinflated ego.
- Blessed with Suck: How he views his own Quirk.
- Boring, but Practical: What his Quirk really falls under.
- The Friend Nobody Likes: Mineta is probably the Class 1-A student who gets this the most, mostly due to his perverted personality. He is still good friends with Midoriya and Kaminari, at least.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Mineta may be a huge sleaze but he does demonstrate loyalty to his classmates.
Class 1-B
U.A. Staff
Pro Heroes
Good for him.
Ruby fights with Crescent Rose, a large scythe that can transform into a high-velocity sniper rifle. Her Semblance is called "Petal Burst", allowing her to move at super-human speeds that leaves behind a cloud of rose petals.
Shiketsu High Students
Kumagawa's quirk lets him manifest screws. Those impaled by screws with a "-" on the head instead of a "+" will lose all their powers and be brought to Kumagawa's level in strength, skill, talent, drive, confidence, speed, and everything else.
- Anti-Hero: He's crazy, but attending a school meant for heroics.
- Arch-Enemy: Initially notable as the one person who Medaka couldn't affect.
- Awesome by Analysis: Needed very little context to figure out Aki Jakago's quirk, which no one was able to guess prior.
- Broken Ace: Kumagawa's a very powerful individual, but has a truckload of psychological issues that go along with that.
- Butt-Monkey: To the audience on the Carry On Discord. Some users joke about him being a "Reddit Lord".
- Cute and Psycho: Even when impaling someone with massive screws, he won't lose that adorable smile of his.
- Deconstructed Character Archetype: Failure Hero. He's known for never winning or getting what he truly wants, and constantly finds a way to lose.
- Foil: To Izuku.
- The number "6" is also another direct reference to another character, Izuku Midoryia. His name contains the kanji homophone for "9", which plays into him being the direct inverse of Midoryia.
- Whereas Izuku has a pretty typical "anime shounen" design, Kumagawa has black hair, blue eyes, and (in Medaka Box) wears a traditional Japanese boys' uniform. While the design itself is very plain and unmemorable, the way it is presented and used is excellent. It makes Kumagawa's quick facial expression changes and attitude that much more effective, and because it's such a normal appearance.
- Despite appearing as innocent and pure as they come at first glance, Kumagawa is one of the series' deadliest characters, and is feared and disliked by practically everyone. This also parallels Midoriya, but instead of fear and disdain, he is one of the most beloved characters in-universe.
- Heroic Self-Deprecation: He earnestly believes that he is weak, stupid, hateful scum.
- Improbable Weapon User: He fights with giant screws that he pulls out of thin air.
- Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: He's fond of shoving massive screws into people.
- Knight of Cerebus: Whereas Ochako has more 'lighthearted' outings, Kumagawa's chapters tend to focus on more philosophical themes.
- Leaning on the Fourth Wall: Multiple times throughout the series he makes jokes about scene changes or dialogue.
- Sympathy for the Devil: After he fails the UA exam.
Medaka's Quirk is "The End." "The End" takes any skill, any trait, any natural affinities, any talent, any power, and any character type to its absolute limit. Medaka's bio-energetic aura allows her to automatically replicate and master any ability, and even enhance it. The energy also allows her to replicate various Emitter quirks. While Medaka can learn skills that exceed her physical capabilities, she cannot copy the physical capabilities of the original skill holder. For example: she can copy Mirko's moves and Bakugou's quirk, but she can't copy Tsu's mutations.
- Animals Hate Her: Medaka terrifies all animals because they can sense her immense strength.
- Animal Theme Naming: She is named after a fish. The medaka is a fully-fledged model vertebrate with extensive roots in the biological sciences. It evolved as a model for development, toxicity, carcinogenesis, and behavior, and an increasing number of inbred strains, together with an expanding genetic toolbox, gave ever-increasing resources for genetic research.
- Character Tics: Has a habit of imitating other people's poses.
- Child Prodigy: Was just as skilled as a child as she was as a teenager.
- Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life: When she was a child, she wondered why someone so incredibly skilled and intelligent as her was born, and came to believe her life was meaningless. Zenkichi was the one who gave her a purpose by telling her she must have been born to make people happy.
- I Just Want to Have Friends: She needs people around her in order to be somebody. Without people to define herself against, she is only stats and abilities — a woman of enormous power, but without purpose, happiness or orientation.
- Instant Expert: Thanks to her Quirk.
- No Badass to His Valet: Zenkichi has known her for so long that her impressive leadership skills, physical and mental prowess, and abnormal powers mean nothing to him.
- No Sense of Personal Space: She tends to be all over people.
- Power Copying: The End, her Quirk, allows her to instantly gain any skill or ability that she comes into contact with and then master it.
- Superpower Lottery: Deconstructed. The End effectively allows Medaka to be a master at anything she learns about, even letting her copy various emitter Quirks. While this sounds like a dream come true in a world run by Quirks, it's had an absolutely horrible effect on Medaka's view of herself and her psychology as a whole due to never being challenged in life and feeling as though she only has purpose in regards to other people's happiness
Saki's Quirk is Error Card. Saki can summon a bunch of cards from her hands. These cards can be used as projectiles. When they embed into a person's head, she can control them freely.
- Beneath the Mask: While she can be polite, her true personality is bitingly sharp and manipulative.
- Cool Mask: Constantly seen wearing a face mask.
- Idol Singer: Used to be one.
- Improbable Weapon User: Her playing cards.
- Playing Card Motifs: Her Quirk.
- Sarcastic Devotee: Follows Kumagawa around, but is always there to harp on him.
- Snarking Thanks: To Kumagawa, mostly.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: With Kumagawa. They fight and bicker, but Saki has been there to pick Kumagawa up in rough spots.
Zenkichi's Quirk is Parasite Seeing. Zenkichi's heightened vision lets him see through others' eyes. He can also observe how others see the world and think.
- Adaptational Badass: Is the Vice President of Shiketsu as opposed to being the General Manager in the original series.
- Audience Surrogate: Being essentially "the ordinary guy who follows the monster", he's bound to have this role.
- Boring, but Practical: His fighting style is simple martial arts, specifically Savate, or French sailor kickboxing with shoes on.
- Forgot About the Mind Reader: His main tactic.
- Foil: He's one of the primary ones for Medaka; a normal but realistic individual who works hard to keep up with others, who despite his normality holds greater empathy with others than Medaka, despite her love of people.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He's snarky and gruff, but he's actually a really Nice Guy that's capable of making friends with extremely troubled people.
- Patient Childhood Love Interest: He has had a crush on Medaka since they were kids.
- Servile Snarker: To Medaka.
- Tsundere: He acts rather grumpy towards Medaka, but it's rather obvious how he really feels.
Mogana's Quirk is Aqualung. Having an increased lung capacity, Mogana can unleash sonic shouts and breathe underwater.
- Comically Small Bribe: All it takes to make her happy is a small amount of yen.
- Foil: To Ochako. They have similar goals and similar appearances. Just different forms of encouragement.
- Money Fetish: Somewhat. She charges people fees for her services.
- Only in It for the Money: Deconstructed. Her main goal for being a hero. While Kumagawa brushes her off for it, she later confesses that she needs the money to help her sick mom.
- Super Not-Drowning Skills: Her quirk allows her to breathe underwater.
- Shout-Out: Her Quirk name is a reference to the Jethro Tull song of the same name.
- Super Swimming Skills: Mogana's an ace swimming pro, having gotten into Shiketsu on a scholarship.
- Water Is Womanly: Member of the swim team, with powers relating to it.
