Dźwiedź24, this is The BS!
Dzwiedz24 is a Polish Let's Player and former video game reviewer. His channel features a playthrough of most missions from Destiny 2 and the first two DLC, some Overwatch (both in complete match and highlights form), incomplete playthrough of Darksiders and assorted single videos about older, often indie games. If he's not cursing a blue streak, he's referencing pretty much anything and going on random tangents.

In August 2018, Dzwiedz24 has moved to Twitch, with some gameplay clips (and stream intros) posted on his Facebook page. Some videos have been posted on the Youtube channel since, in addition to the older Let's Plays.

Featured tropes:

  • Added Alliterative Appeal: the two accidental cluster bomb videos from Black Ops 4 have four-word titles where all words start with the same letter, P in the first one and S in the second one.
  • Alphabet News Network: The video watermark and layout of the news ticker are heavily based on the largest news TV station in Poland that also has "24" at the end of its name. The title for Overwatch video series, "Wake Up And Suck", parodies the station's morning show, "Wake Up And Know".
  • Angrish: During the playthrough of the Uprising mission in "Wake Up and Suck: Death in Venice", Dźwiedź veers into this, managing to use even more expletives than usual.
  • Animal Motifs: Bears, in reference to the nickname.
  • Anime Opening Parody: One for the Shadow Warrior 2 Let's Play, "Dźwiedziu's Bizarre Adventure" (or, in Japanese, "Kumadewanai no Kimyō na Bōken"). Complete with a Japanese theme song ("Shittsui Beelzebub" by Kikyow) with lyrics on the bottom on the screen and a Japanese Credits Gag.
  • Art Evolution: The opening animation, news ticker and video frames popping up in the outro screen changed slightly over time.
  • Atomic F-Bomb: In The Ascent review when talking about the quest system. Dźwiedź breathes in and deploys a 130 decibel Trilling Rs Polish version that is even lampshaded in the subtitles.
  • A Winner Is You: Lampshaded in the clip "I IS WIN!" from Spellbreak.
Dźwiedź: (over the short, entirely black "VICTORY" screen) "I is win! Wictoly!"
  • Backhanded Apology: "Oh, I'm so sorry... except I'm not." is almost another Catchphrase.
  • Bait-and-Switch Comparison: In The Ascent review:
"To sum up: if you want to bother with a horribly optimized cyberpunk shooter with RPG elements, magnanimously a bit cheaper than AAA titles... get yourself Cyberpunk 2077 at the next sale. Because The Ascent has absolutely nothing in its defense."
  • Big "WHAT?!": Often when things get weird enough for Dźwiedź to get hammy. Also, "And suddenly a fucking tank! WHAAAAAT?!"
  • Bilingual Bonus: While the videos are subtitled, the occasionally appearing crawl is not translated.
    • Some phrases in Polish are directly translated English idioms, that are obvious in the Recursive Translation of subtitles. Some gags also hinge on translating English synonyms incorrectly on purpose, like Dźwiedź making seal noises and clapping in response to Joseph Seed's "A seal has been opened" in the John Seed boss fight livestream, or using bilingual homonyms, like the title of Far Cry 5 let's play series explained below.
    • Pay attention to the opening of Dźwiedziu's Bizarre Adventure. The Japanese version used in the first episode has Alternate Character Reading in the title ("Dźwiedziu" is written as "Kuma de wa nai", which is an approximate meaning of the nickname, with furigana for the pronunciation above it). The subtitles in the opening scene are a close approximation of what is being said, while the credits are a Credits Gag with Punny Names that make sense in Polish (aside from license-obligated song credits, those are real and preceded by "Now Pay Attention: Important Thing Follows" in Japanese).
  • Blood Knight: Very much so. From the Far Cry 5 livestream:
Dutch: Those fuckers are willing to die for that psychopath that's leadin'em.
Dźwiedź (in English): Oh brother... I will oblige.
    • In the "Amateurs" segment of Cyberdźwiedź 2077 episode 21 ("Stand-Up Amateur Hour"), Dźwiedź is displeased by the outcome of the "Ezekiel Saw The Wheel" quest.
Dźwiedź: Fuck me. If someone in CD Projekt put some thought into this quest, those three pricks would never leave this bar. There would be low-flying hacks and in three seconds, all of them would be chewing the floor.
    • In the same episode, Dźwiedź breaks up the 6th Street party in the quest "Stadium Love", using non-lethal means for extra humiliation.
Dźwiedź: All right, enough with the fun and games, we're rolling them out like shit in a wheelbarrow! This party hasn't even started!
Dźwiedź: What, did someone in this fucking shithole fail to realize that I just floored fourteen guys and I don't think it was enough?!
Dźwiedź: I fucked up seventeen Trumpers already, who wants to be the eighteenth one?!
Dźwiedź: And then there's the uncomfortable question, what the fuck was I supposed to do if those jackasses just started mouthing off, and I got a bit upset, as usual?
  • Bond Gun Barrel: Parodied in one of the variants of The Doktor Dźwiedźrespekt Show opening, with the usual triangular frame sliding in from the right instead of rising from behind the scrolling grid. A cropped version was later repurposed for the Twitch raid alert.
  • Bond One-Liner: Played mostly straight in single-player game streams, lampshaded in one of the clips on the fanpage.
Dźwiedź: (shoots an enemy with a nailgun) Nailed'im! ...yeah, I know. It's the most cliched thing you can say in a situation like this.
  • Borrowed Catchphrase: Uses Geralt's "Show me your wares." when trading with characters in single-player games.
  • Bowdlerise: Subverted in the first Destiny 2 video, "Darth Bucket Makes A Grand Entrance", with the sudden exclamation of "DUCK'S FOOT!" as if that was an expletive. The Centurion that shows up in that moment is wielding a multi-barreled volley gun, similar to the historical "duck's foot gun".
  • Brick Joke: The corruption charges against the mayor of Złomowice Śląskie. The accusations get the highlight spot on the news ticker in "Return to Castle Junkenstein", the acquittal is a throwaway item on the scroll in "Death in Venice".
  • Buffy Speak: "he just... thingered out somewhere!"
  • Call-Back: in the first Curse of Osiris video, upon inspecting the killed Descendant Vex Goblins, Dzwiedz exclaims "They're sombrero-wearing Vexicans!", a reference to eighth Destiny 2 video, "Saving Captain Robotpants".
    • Another, cross-series one happens in the final episode of Fifty Shades of Bray, referencing the Gothsyderz episode "Clit Earthworm".
    • When a quest involving pacifying things with gas comes up again in Episode 45 of At Universe's End, Dźwiedź nods and says "It's gas time.", in reference to the title of Episode 20 which featured a similar quest.
  • Casual Kink: In one of the Shadow Warrior 2 livestreams, Dzwiedz casually says "Tea and BDSM? I'll have to try that." followed by "I have a pretty cool pair of handcuffs, by the way." and Eyebrow Waggle.
  • Catchphrase:
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Not full blown, but has his moments, particularly the Delayed Reaction to a kill in Black Ops 4 video "God of Hellfire".
  • Cloudcuckoolanguage: But of course. "Cookies" and "candy" for things like first aid kits, ammo packs and the like, "glowies" for important items that tend to be highlighted ("glowies" being itself a shout-out to Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal).
"I'm alive! I got arms, and legs... And I got the MAROCCAN SNEK!"
  • Couch Gag: "Crucikibble: Ritmo de la Noche Edition" has the title blur and the eagle spin too far and then fall over.
    • The "Bull Nuts Festival" has the polaroids replaced with clips from the video itself, signed "Grilled Nuts", "Ground Nuts" and "Surprise Nuts", a reference to the mission played in the video.
    • The Faith Seed livestream intro uses Faith-related graphics and "Help Me Faith" instead of the usual country music.
    • The Doktor Dźwiedźrespekt show starts with a Vanity Plate in one Central/Eastern European language (mostly Slavic with the exception of Romanian) of the "Molvanian National Radio Committee" and an opening with Doktor Dźwiedźrespekt doing something (giving a thumbs up, parodying the famous James Bond opening sequence, aiming a revolver at the camera).
    • The first "Dźwiedziu's Bizarre Adventure" stream has the title in Japanese in the intro, all following ones have it in English. Also, the initial scene changes from stream to stream.
  • Crawl: Sometimes, mostly during cutscenes, a news ticker appears in the lower third, referencing situations and quotes from either the current or the previous videos.
    • Livestreams have since upgraded it to display the latest Twitch followers, subscribers and donations instead.
  • Cue O'Clock: The clock on the news ticker says bizarre things like "HIGH NOON", "OUTATIME" (for Destiny 2) and "TOO LATE" (for the Backlog games). When Darksiders gets spun into its own series, the clock says "6:66". In the Far Cry 5 videos, the clock says "MT13:38", a reference to the Gospel of Matthew.
  • Dramatic Thunder: used in the Title Drop for the third Darksiders video.
  • Drives Like Crazy: mentioned twice in the Far Cry 5 videos:
"Fuck me. You know what? I'm wondering, how the fuck did I get a driver's license?"
"You'll get your truck, but don't expect me to watch the paint."
  • Early-Bird Cameo: the poster for Cyberdźwiedź 2077 appeared on the break screens several months before the game's premiere and the first stream from the series.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: the opening animation in a few initial videos is set to a happy jazz tune. In later ones, it's replaced with heavy metal one.
  • El Spanish "-o": In the Battle Royale video, "Pugubugu Island", commenting on the nearby gunfight:
"I'm having mi pantos fullos here..."
  • Erudite Stoner: Admitted to using certain substances on his streams several times (including misnaming his channel as "Dźwiedź 420" at least once), sounds a bit loopy most of the time and has some interesting knowledge and convictions.
  • Fast-Forward Gag: In "Noggin Juice", it takes five tries to beat a particular sequence. All but the first and the last one are fast-forwarded, with added screen distortion and fast-forward sound effects replacing the soundtrack... until the sequence comes back to normal speed and look to show the moment of the player character dying, followed with an exasperated comment and restart screen.
    • Averted in "White Men Can't Jump": four of the attempts are included in a separate outtakes video, but the main let's play just has a screen saying "Ten Attempts Later...".
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: In the Pieseł Paczy intro, the words "Raz", "Dwa", "Trzy" ("One, two, three") pop up for a split second before the stream's title finally appears, forming a "One, two, three, the Doge wotches you!".
  • Funny Background Event: The review for The Ascent has several, related to the parts of the game being discussed. For example, a hypothesis that the game was designed by an AI causes SHODAN to pop up on the screens in the background, and the description of how tedious the quests are has "Five Hours Later..." from Spongebob Squarepants on one of the screens.
  • Funny Foreigner: Dr Dźwiedźrespekt, "the best most known, the best most respekted video player in all of Molvania" persona from the Radical Heights livestreams.
  • Fun with Acronyms: The "UFC" Overwatch video. "UFC" stands for "Unusually Fancy Clobberin'" (itself something of a Woolseyism, see the Trivia page).
    • Also, the weekly clip show video, "KITy" (translated as "BS", short for "Brief Shots").
    • Episode 32 of The Outer Worlds livestream is titled "Zakład Utylizacji Staruszków", a popular mockery of the Polish social security department, ZUS ("Zakład Ubezpieczeń Społecznych").
    • Inverted in the "Saving Chief Kycu" video - the recovery vehicle name shortens to "URSA", going with Dźwiedź's bear motif.
"Well, this is why it's named Universal Rescue and Shipping Aerodyne."
  • Gratuitous English: Tends to say things like "Hang on", "Hold up" and "Wait, what?" in the middle of speaking Polish.
  • Gratuitous German: The mock German "Raketen/Granaten to die face'en" line is pretty much a Catchphrase.
    • In the beginning of "The Old Stomping Grounds", Dźwiedź mangles German grammar, asking "Donnerwetter, was ist Ich? Eine verscheisste Flugzeugabwehrkanone?!" ("Goddammit, what is I? A fucking anti-air cannon?!")
    • "As said by Mr Mannlicher, langsam langsam aber sicher."
  • Gratuitous Russian: Happens occasionally, usually with the exclamation "Вон!" ("Von!" that translates to "Get out!" or "Get lost!") and "Это я, Вася" ("Eto ya, Vasya", which means "It's me, Vasya").
  • HA HA HA—No: Dźwiedź's reaction to Phineas Welles' suggestion of leading the colonies in "The Definite Collapse of the Corporate System" is a long nervous chuckle followed by "Nope."
  • Hat of Authority: The white hard hat with "SZEFU" ("DA BOSS") emblazoned on it. Shows up in the "I'll Set You Up" intro and several clips from building games.
Dźwiedź: Just so everything's clear... Who runs this construction site? DA BOSS.

    • "Wake Up and Suck: Eagran Uisce Beatha" raises the stakes by being in English.
  • Punctuated Pounding: in the Darksiders third episode, Dźwiedź painfully does it to four zombies.
  • Pun-Based Title: The plate in the lower left corner in the Far Cry 5 livestream says "Daleki Kraj" (Far Country, with "Kraj" being a homonym for "cry"). Also, Darksiders videos "Highway to Hel" (Hel being a popular seaside resort in Poland) and the Polish title of "Detour Through Griffinville" (Gryfice is a real town in northern Poland, the name of which can be translated as Griffinville, and the video focuses on riding a griffin-like Angelic Beast after leaving the highway from the previous video) and "Dungeons and Dumbasses" (a pig-based pun: "Lochy" means both "dungeons" and "sows", and "Knury" means "hogs").

  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: Toned down from the first videos, but when Dźwiedź goes ballistic over the quest system in The Ascent review, he still manages to drop a spectacular Cluster F-Bomb.
WHO THE FUCK DESIGNED THIS, I'M ASKING ?! Quite simply, the way the quest system in this game is designed just calls for some righteous fucking anger. It's just that I have never seen this kind of fucking mess before, and I've played the worst kinds of shit.
  • Sophisticated as Hell: Dźwiedź swears like a sailor, occasionally makes videos while drunk, sometimes drops into Antiquated Linguistics and knows a lot of obscure things. Mostly about weapons and history.
    • Several clips from Battlefield V contain trivia about the military gear used in the game, for example, the Sturmtiger tank destroyer.
"Sturmtiger fires a fuckery that weighs four hundred kilos, shell included, it's a meter and a half long, three hundred eighty milimeter caliber, oh, and I forgot, rocket powered, and to load that motherfucker into the barrel you needed the entire crew and a crane."

"I'm piss drunk (...) and since I didn't hit any, well, racist or homophobic rant 'til now I'm still classier than PewDiePie and xQc combined. That's an achievement... In basic human decency."
    • Polish pop star Michał Wiśniewski gets one thanks to his similarity to a Tyger Claw NPC in Cyberpunk 2077. While the clip on the Facebook page only mentions his streaming "career", the description of it pulls no punches:
The life of a Polish pop star sucks. After four marriages and one Resident Sleeper of streaming an official major aviation company airliner sim, Michał Wiśniewski went on to become a Night City gangoon.
      Not for long.
    • Na Krańcu Wszechświata and Cyberdźwiedź 2077 reveal that Dźwiedź might have a thing or two against hot dogs.
"Uh huh. 96% cybernetic modifications. There's four percent of meat left on the guy. Which is still more than in a hot dog." - in reference to Adam Smasher in Cyberdźwiedź 2077 Episode 6, "Hjarnamelldansen"
