"Put the pedal to the metal, because everybody here is forced to race across the most dangerous tracks this Arena could find!. What kind of places will the contestants find themselves in, and, more importantly, will they be able to survive?!"

- Accidental Murder: When Vinus gets a Blue Shell, he throws it, intending to use it on the White Fatalis. Except that it goes after the racer in the lead, which happened to be Lenia, which then destroys her car.
- Achievements in Ignorance: Dave Johnson manages to complete the first portion of the race, albeit in last place, while driving backwards trying to turn on the radio.
- Actually Pretty Funny: Calypso chuckles when Lenia shocks Jefferson Davis as he was about to call her the N-word.
- Adaptational Heroism: Penelope's sudden Face–Heel Turn in Thieves In Time is explained to have been a result of mind control, and is shown to be deeply remorseful over looks of betrayal she got from her ex-friends and ex-boyfriend.
- All According to Plan: After Calypso successfully plants seeds of doubts into several contestants by telling them he could grant the others a wish of anything they desire by letting him win the race, he admits to himself "The seed of doubt is planted. Just as planned."
- Alliterative Title: The title of the last chapter, "Rainbow Road Rage".
- All of Them: When the Lakitu questions how many drugs were taken when coming up with the members of Team 5, he concludes that probably all of them were taken.
- And the Adventure Continues: The episode ends with Soundwave and his Mini-Cons being teleported to exploring the world of Treehollow.
- And This Is for...: When Chl03 attacks the White Fatalis by stabbing it in the neck, she yells "This is for Nova! I will put an end to this madness!"
- Apologetic Attacker: Amy apologizes to Nazuna for what she's about to do as she slams her hammer down on Nazuna's vehicle, which causes her to fall into a bottomless pit.
- As Shougo is planning on transforming his bike into robot mode, he apologizes to Juleka for what he is about to do.
- Armor Is Useless: So useless that it KILLS the one receiving it! When Renton gets Gosei from an item box, Gosei gives Renton's robot a golden suit of armor. All this does is cause the robot to crash onto the track, destroying both Renton and the robot.
- Armor-Piercing Response: After Michiru and Nazuna have some friendly competitive banter with each other, Shirou asks if Michuru knows how to drive. She asks back if HE does. Shirou has no answer to give to Michuru.
- Michuru: "Your silence is VERY reassuring."
- Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: The things Stella complains to her butlers about during in Wario's Gold Mine include telling them to drive faster, to stop hitting so many road bumps, and that they're out of snacks.
- Autobots, Rock Out!: As Soundwave fights the White Fatalis in the Nexus, he plays Battlejuice's Made of Steel
from his speakers. - Back from the Dead: Soundwave wants to use the wish to revive Blaster. Unfortunately Calypso gets to use the wish before he could.
- The Bad Guy Wins: An interesting case, as while Calypso is the one to get the wish due to emerging out of the rubble first, it's Soundwave who's declared the overall winner of the episode. Though in both cases however it's a Meaningless Villain Victory.
- Big "NO!": Michuru shouts one after watching Nazuna get killed by Amy in Wario's Gold Mine.
- Gyro has one after Johnny gets reduced to a red mist by Coop's car in Chemical Plant Zone.
- Nova cries one out after Chl03 tells her that their allies have fallen in the Sea of Rust.
- Calypso shouts several of these when he realizes that Baskerra twisted the words of his wish to deny him what he wanted.
- Big "OMG!": Wario, yet again; this time it's just before Dave Johnson runs him over.
- Big "WHAT?!": Dick Dastardly shouts one after The Joker says they've sprung a leak. Fortunately for them the Joker was referring to his acid spray, which he aims at the other contestants.
- When Meika and Amy turn to Calypso wanting him to help them fight the White Fatalis, he tells them that their usefulness is at the end and tells them to Have a Nice Death, leading to Meika and Amy shouting this in response.
- The Big Race: This episode has the contestants drive in one big lap through several courses in order to obtain the wish.
- Bond One-Liner: After Calypso sees Gyro get killed by a spinner, Calypso snickers "That certainly put a new spin on things.".
- Bookends: The race begins and ends with the contestants driving on a Mario Kart track.
- The first chapter has Lenia and Scott talking about "Mario Kart rules", with Lenia bemoaning them when she gets a banana peel for an item. In the last chapter when Vinus uses a Blue Shell to try and attack the White Fatalis with, it goes after Lenia instead, with her saying she officially hates Mario Kart before it collides with her car. Vinus apologizes, stating "Sorry! I forgot, Mario Kart rules."
- Someone getting a banana peel as an item in the first and last chapters.
- Borrowed Catchphrase: After Calypso and Soundwave head off now that the race is over, Baskerra takes Calypso's sign off for the endings in the Twisted Metal games, to the point that even almost finishes saying Twisted Metal before having to backspace and thanks them for playing the Arena.
- Brilliant, but Lazy: The narration describes Lenia as having a somewhat lazy attitude, despite having a prowess over all things mechanical.
- Bug War: The fifth track has the racers drive through the crossfire of the battle in the Klendathu Drop.
- The Bus Came Back: Stella, Shirou Ogami, Michiru Kagemori, Nazuna Hiwatashi, Dave Johnson, The Engineer, The Joker, and Amy Rose all return from previous Arenas.
- Call-Back: When Verosika and Barbie Wire have a playful chat, Verosika tells Barbie to tell her brother she said 'fuck you'. Barbie responds telling her she already beat her to it.
- Raven Fields tells her team to relax, as she mentions that Chrissy and Reiko already told her about the Arena.
- When The Engineer meets with Penelope, he remembers the last time he had to work with a tech-savvy anthro mouse in an Arena.
- The Klendathu Drop being used as part of the Arena.
- The Cameo: Wario hosts the first portion of the race, which takes place on Wario's Gold Mine.
- Chekhov's Gun: The nuke on Calypso's truck. It gets brought up as early as his introduction, with the Joker mentioning wanting to use it to prank Superman with in chapter 3, and then plays a pivotal role in killing the White Fatalis.
- Collateral Damage: When Scott the Woz's Special Ability causes Domino's car to explode, the shrapnel from the car not only hits Jefferson Davis in the chest, it also causes him to fall off his horse to his death.
- Continuity Nod: Peppino's advertisement that Soundwave is forced to watch is a reference to Peppino's wish for a better advertising campaign.
- Crazy-Prepared: Coop has a 'Smash Skeletons' button in his car in the event he has to deal with a horde of skeletons, which is what happens when he's racing on the Metra Nui track.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Most of the fight against the White Fatalis has it easily kill every contestant that tries to stop it. Not even Calypso's initial nuke does much to stop it.
- Curse Cut Short: Basically every time Jefferson Davis attempts to say the N-word. He even dies while attempting to say it one last time.
- On the Metru Nui track, When the cover for the game Madden 08 falls off, revealing the game Domino is holding is actually Madden 09, she only has time to yell "OH, FU-" before her car explodes.
- When an explosion nearly knocks Verosika's car off the edge, she yells "Son of a-" before the AMX-12T yells back at her "Language!".
- When Claire notices a Bob-omb coming towards her, she says "What the f-" before the Bob-omb blows her up.
- After a portal opening splits Wolf's car in half, he yells "MOTHERFU-" before the half of the car he's in smashes into a rock.
- Defensive "What?": When Lenia gets some stink eyes landed on her after pulling out a can of Mountain Dew (a drink that has been the subject of a few jabs in the series) to drink, Lenia defends herself by saying "What? I can't be the only one that enjoys this stuff!"
- Deus ex Machina: What Calypso describes the portal that suddenly opened up to allow Soundwave to escape his nuke as.
- Diabolus ex Nihilo: In the final portion of the race, a White Fatalis suddenly shows up to kill most of the remaining contestants.
- Dick Dastardly Stops to Cheat: When The Joker talks to the Trope Namer himself in their Team Introduction, he tells Dick with complete seriousness that he needs to get it in his head that he doesn't have to cheat all the time. During the race on the Klendathu track, Dick tells Muttley "I forgot! We're villains! We have to cheat!" However, he gets distracted from mistaking a random speck in the air for Yankee Doodle Pigeon, and chases after it before he can do so.
- Discontinuity Nod: One that becomes important to the plot: Calypso's ride in this episode is his Soviet mobile missile launcher from his playable appearance in the non-canon Twisted Metal 4. The important thing about his vehicle is the NUKE on top of it, which he gets to use two of late in the episode.
- Double Take: Scott has one after looking at the text at the bottom of the flier that reads "WARNING: VERY HIGH RISK OF DEATH! THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!"
- The Engineer does this after hearing of Penelope's 'list of targets'.
- Dreadful Musician: When Dave Johnson sings some tunes out of boredom in the last break, the narration mentions that he couldn't carry a tune to save his life. Michuru has to shapeshift her ears into donkey ears to drown out the noise.
- Eternal Engine: The second track the race takes place on, Chemical Plant Zone.
- Everyone Has a Special Move: In theory each contestant in this episode has a Special Ability of their own. However only a couple of characters actually get to use theirs.
- Exact Words: When Baskerra gives Calypso the wish, he wishes to end her game for good, with Baskerra confused but obliges. When Calypso expresses surprise at a lack of a reaction from her, Baskerra reveals that she ended the game of this episode, not the series. Calypso is NOT happy to find out he's been duped like this.
- Eye Scream: When Muttley fires his gumball machine-gun at the walls of Chemical Plant Zone, one of them shatters Johnny Cage's windows and hits him in one of his eyes.
- When Vinus and Raven turn their vehicles to the side, the sparks from their wheels hit Surge in the eyes.
- Face Death with Dignity: As Calypso's nuke falls and is about to make impact, in the Mean Machine Muttley rolls up the windows, resigning himself for the inevitable. Dick Dastardly meanwhile is content knowing that he won't be the only one dying.
- Failed a Spot Check: Scott didn't notice the warning at the bottom of the flier until he took a second look at it AFTER being sent to participate in the race. Said warning was printed in bold red too.
- Fictional Fan, Real Celebrity: Lenia Storm gets very excited to have Scott the Woz on her team, as she admits to being a big fan of his work when they interact in the introductions.
- Game-Breaking Bug: Quick glitches into nothingness the moment he goes through the portal to Metru Nui.
- Ghost Town: The third track of the race takes place on is the island of Metru Nui, where this once thriving metropolis has long since been overrun by vegetation and the Visorak Hive.
- Graceful Loser: Despite not getting what he wanted with his wish, Calypso admits to Baskerra that it's been a good game, and plans on a more ambitious wish next time he participates.
- Groin Attack: As Calypso is yelling at Baskerra for screwing him out of what he wanted from his wish, Soundwave emerges from the rubble and punches Calypso in the nuts so hard Calypso's sent flying into his truck.
- HA HA HA—No: Baskerra's response to Soundwave asking if she'll give him information about Megatron's whereabouts.
- High-Voltage Death: The White Fatalis kills several of the remaining contestants by obliterating them with its red lightning bolts.
- History Repeats: We have the main Jojo and an ally of his participate in an episode (albeit they're on the same team this time). Then the main Jojo gets killed first, with the ally swearing to avenge them. Only for the Jojo's ally to get killed in the next chapter.
- Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: When Domino's car explodes, the shrapnel from it hits Jefferson Davis in the chest, causing him to fall to his death.
- Instant Turn-Off: When Barbie is giving Verosika cunnilingus, Verosika calls Barbie better than her brother Blitz. The mere mention of Barbie's brother, even when being compared better than him, gets Barbie to immediately stop what she was doing and leave in a huff.
- Joke Character: Jefferson Davis, who spends the episode getting humiliated or injured in every scene he's in, and gets treated with no respect by any of the cast.
- Joke Item: When Soundwave gets his by a fake item box left by The Joker, he's forced to stop and watch two unskippable ads.
- When Renton gets Gosei from an item box, Gosei gives Renton a golden suit of armor for his robot. This causes the robot to crash onto the track, destroying it and killing Renton.
- Karmic Butt-Monkey: Jefferson Davis, the only President of the Confederacy, gets humiliated or injured in every scene he's in up until his death.
- The Knights Who Say "Squee!": Lenia is very excited to be in the presence of Scott the Woz, since she's a huge fan of his videos.
- Killed Mid-Sentence: When Coop gets his Special Ability that allows him to transform his car into Megas, Speeda Demon notices the shadow of Megas' foot looming over him and shouts "WHAT IN THE-" before Megas causes him to fall to his doom.
- As Shougo is about to explain why he needs to kill Juleka, Quick, with his motorcycle stuck on a chain, rams into Shougo, causing Shougo's bike to smash through the guardrail and send him falling to his death.
- As Gosei is about to give and explanation as to why he thought it was a good idea to give Renton's robot a suit of armor, he's attacked by a Visorak swarm, which causes him to explode.
- After Surge gets sparks in her eyes from Vinus and Raven's vehicles, she yells at them "GAAAH! YOU FUCKING-" before the other sparks hit her engine, causing it to blow up.
- When the FLYING GORILLA for the FLYING GORILLA APP crashes into Wreck-it-Ralph's car, he yells at it to get off, only for it to puncture his abdomen and then explode.
- As the White Fatalis causes several spots on the Rainbow Road track to glow red, Amy asks "What the-" before she's vaporized by a red lightning bolt.
- Lame Pun Reaction: When Johnny Cage makes a punny Badass Boast in the introductions, Daisy doesn't find it to be very good.
- Johnny Cage: "Sorry, but every racer here is about to realize they're trapped...in the CAGE! Johnny's Cage!"
Princess Daisy: "Blech. That sucked."
- Laser-Guided Karma: After spending a whole game franchise screwing over most of the winners of his Twisted Metal tournament with their wishes, Calypso his own wish screwed over when he wishes to end Baskerra's game for good, only for her to end the episode, not the series like he wanted.
- Ludicrous Gibs: When a spinner kills Gyro, is spins his body into chunks.
- Meaningless Villain Victory: What occurs to both of the remaining contestants left at the end of the episode:
- For Calypso, while he gets the wish, poor wording on his end doesn't get him the desired result he wanted, thus wasting it.
- And for Soundwave, while he's declared the overall victor of the episode, his victory is moot as Calypso stole his wish, thus he's unable to bring Blaster back to life. As a consolation prize however he and his Mini-Cons are sent to Treehollow.
- Minecart Madness: The first track the race is on Wario's Gold Mine, a place that's filled to the brim with bats, sharp turns, and Bottomless Pits.
- Mythology Gag: Wreck-it-Ralph admitting he never expected to be back into racing. Which not only references the movies, but it also doubles as a reference to his playable appearance in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.
- When the Joker gazes at Calypso's nuke, he comes up with the idea of taking it and pranking Superman with it. Fortunately Lex is able to talk him out of it by reminding Joker that Superman is way above his league. The Joker agrees and says he could have face a horrible end if he ticked Superman off.
- Scott the Woz's Special Ability is a copy of Madden 09 disguised as a copy of Madden 08.
- On the Klendathu track, Dick Dastardly mistakes a random speck in the air for Yankee Doodle Pigeon and orders Muttley to go after it.
- No Body Left Behind: When Quick glitches out at the start of the Metra Nui track, he vanishes into nothingness.
- Vix Z, Juleka, and Scott the Woz get vaporized by the Demon Core on the Sea of Rust track.
- Amy and Meika get vaporized by the White Fatalis' lightning bolts.
- The White Fatalis is vaporized when Calypso fires his second nuke at it and Soundwave and Soundwave using up his power to contain the explosion from the nuke.
- Non-Gameplay Elimination: When the Lakitu offers Dale and Kiki to let them sit out of this race and have a race against each other, they accept and are teleported out of the race.
- No One Could Survive That!: After Calypso fires his nuke on Rainbow Road, which kills most of the remaining contestants presumably the White Fatalis, and he and Soundwave make it to the Nexus, he demands that he's the one to be given the wish since he killed the Fatalis, with Soundwave disagreeing. Before the two can argue some more on it, Calypso notices a second portal opening, revealing itself to be the White Fatalis. Covered in radioactive flames and half of its face burnt, but alive and PISSED as all hell.
- Not Distracted by the Sexy: In Wario's Gold Mine, Verosika tries to seduce Wolf, asking if he wants to make some bad choices on the road. The response she gets is Wolf pointing a gun against her cleavage.
- N-Word Privileges: Almost all of Jefferson Davis' dialogue involves him attempting to say the N-Word, with something always interrupting him before he can get the full word out.
- Off with His Head!: When Dick Dastardly chases what he believes to be Yankee Doodle Pigeon in the Klendathu track, the sudden turn he makes causes The Joker to lose balance and fall off the Mean Machine, where his head gets lobbed off by a Hopper.
- Oh, Crap!: Quick has this reaction when he has to make a large jump in Wario's Gold Mine.
- In Chemical Plant Zone, When Kuryui notices that Johnny Cage is about to crash into her, she goes "Uh ooooooh..." seconds before they collide.
- Meika cries one out when Daisy pulls out a Bob-omb that falls into the water in the tube, destroying it.
- In the Sea of Rust, Juleka has a massive one when she notices the shape of the Demon Core, moments before it goes off. Daisy shouts a massive one when one of Vinus' maces slams into her bike, causing her to fall into the endless rust and is Buried Alive.
- When Soundwave shouts a warning of something heading towards him, Lenia asks what that means before shouting "CRAP!" when she sees the FLYING GORILLA for the FLYING GORILLA APP go past her.
- The Peeping Tom: In the third break Amy spies on Barbie Wire eating out Verosika, wanting to join in.
- Portal Cut: When the remaining racers are trying to go through any portal that opens up on Klendathu, one of the portals that opens up splits Wolf's car in half.
- Precision F-Strike: After Soundwave and Calypso reach the Nexus, Soundwave tells the Lakitu to contact Baskerra, Calypso yells at them to "HOLD THE HELL UP!", demanding to get the wish since he killed the White Fatalis and doesn't want Soundwave to get it because of a portal opening up just before he could get killed by his nuke.
- Pre-Mortem One-Liner: After Calypso finally gets to fire his nuke, he tells the remaining contestants "I hope we've all had a BLAST!".
- Product Placement: A Joke Item Soundwave gets after hitting a fake item box left by The Joker forces him to watch two unskippable commercials. The ad we see him watching is one for Peppino's Pizzeria.
- Puppy-Dog Eyes: Amy resorts to using these while trying to convince Surge to let her win during the first break, with Surge turning away to avoid looking at them.
- Rapid-Fire "No!": Dave Johnson does this in several of his tantrums.
- Ride the Rainbow: The final portion of the race takes place on is a Rainbow Road that has been damaged by the White Fatalis.
- Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies: In the last chapter, the White Fatalis shows up on the Rainbow Road track and kills more than half of the remaining racers. Then Calypso kills all the ones remaining except for himself and Soundwave when he finally gets to fire his nuke.
- Rule of Three: The term "Mario Kart rules" comes up three times in the first chapter. It starts with asking if they're playing by them after track looks familiar to her, then Scott confirms that they are after seeing an item box, and then Lenia again says it unenthusiastically after she gets a banana peel from an item box.
- Running Gag: Jefferson Davis repeatedly attempting to say the N-Word, only to get interrupted before he can finish saying it everytime.
- Saying Too Much: After The Engineer and Penelope come to the agreement that Wolf can't be reasoned with, Penelope admits that she's putting him on her 'list of targets'. When The Engineer want to know where he lands on her list, she says he's on the bottom five while giving an "Oh, Crap!" Smile.
- Say My Name: All of Quick's teammates scream his name as he glitches out into nothingness.
- The Scapegoat: Jefferson Davis spends the episode blaming anything he can on black people, and attempting to use a more vulgar word of them at that.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: When the racers get to the Klendathu track, Lakitu yells he's quitting after the race is over. When the race is declared over, the Lakitu immediately celebrates in joy as he's transported back home.
- Sea of Sand: The fourth track of the race takes place on is the Sea of Rust, infamous among Cybertronians for its Cosmic Rust, which eats through their bodies until nothing is left but dust.
- Shock and Awe: Lenia Storm, an otherwise normal human, has electricity powers, which she uses to give her Tesla unlimited energy. Her Special Ability is an electric shield that protects her from most damage.
- Shout-Out: After clearing the first portion of the race, Joker says this as he celebrates his team's survival:
- The Joker: "We came! We saw! We kicked their keisters!"
- Vinus and Hawkan perform a move with their rides where they swerve their vehicles to their sides, which Raven calls the 'AKIRA' trick.
- Stella Tempting Fate at the start of the Rainbow Road track by shouting to the remaining racers "Nothing bad EVER happens to a Goetia!"
- Smoke Shield: As Soundwave's Mini-Cons are telling Soundwave to go all out, Calypso throws a demonic fireball and the White Fatalis fires several balls of radioactive energy at him, causing an explosion that seemingly kills him. A few moments later Soundwave emerges from the smoke unharmed and gets ready to fight the White Fatalis.
- Smoking Barrel Blowout: Lenia blows off the smoke coming from her finger after electrocuting Jefferson Davis with her powers.
- Spotlight-Stealing Squad: In-Universe; According to Johnny Cage, his contract says he gets to take up 90% of all screentime in anything he's in.
- Stripped to the Bone: When Johnny Cage and Kuryui get hit by a blue orb of goo in Chemical Plant Zone, it dissolves their bodies, leaving only the skeletons.
- Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Late into the race, fatigue begins to set in for several contestants, with them ready to sleep at any moment.
- Take That!: Jefferson Davis is given no mercy in this episode for being the president of the Confederacy, as every scene he's in ends with him humiliated, especially when he attempts to say the N-word. The narration even calls him slightly more useless than Quentin Trembley when he's introduced.
- Scott the Woz entered the race hoping to undo the travesty that was Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash.
- Team Killer: In the Sea of Rust, The Joker kicks Lex out of their team's Mean Machine and onto the track, where he's then run over by Wreck-it-Ralph.
- Teeth Flying: When Amy chooses to fight the White Fatalis head on and throws her hammer at it like a boomerang, it knocks several teeth out of the beast.
- Tempting Fate: When Stella gets ahead of the others at the start of Rainbow Road, she laughs and shouts to the remaining racers "Nothing bad EVER happens to a Goetia!". And then her carriage is destroyed by the White Fatalis and she's cooked into a roast chicken.
- There Is No Kill Like Overkill: It takes two NUKES from Calypso's truck to ultimately kill the White Fatalis.
- This Cannot Be!: After Baskerra reveals to Soundwave that he lost his chance at the wish, Soundwave naturally has a hard time believing this considering he just defeated the White Fatalis and Calypso.
- This Is Gonna Suck: Jefferson Davis admits he knows he's doomed when he has to work with Lenia, who is a woman of color.
- Trash the Set: When the contestants start the race at Chemical Plant Zone, the whole place is already on fire. The zone gets gradually destroyed as the race on the track goes on, culminating in it exploding as soon as the remaining contestants get to the exit, leaving only a crater.
- Two-Faced: When the White Fatalis is revealed to have survived Calypso's nuke, half of his face is mentioned to have been horribly burnt.
- Uncertain Doom: When Stella's carriage gets destroyed by the White Fatalis, her butlers and Nightmare horses are sent hurtling off the edge, but they managed to pack parachutes. However this makes them very easy pickings for the White Fatalis. And if it didn't kill them there's also Calypso firing his nuke at the end of the track...
- Villainous Rescue: Near the end of the Klendathu track, Verosika gets ready to slam into Lenia's car, intending to take her out of the race. However, that's when Calypso emerges and slams into Verosika's car and she's sent flying.
- Villainous Respect: Despite being pissed at Baskerra for denying him what he wanted from his wish, Calypso admits he almost respects Baskerra for pulling off what she did. Baskerra in turn says she learned from the best.
- Wasteful Wishing: Thanks to Baskerra using exact wording on Calypso, all his wish amounts to is ending the episode early.
- Waxing Lyrical: As Surge is hitting as many cars as she can during the Wario's Gold Mine portion of the race, she taunts them by yelling at them the chorus from Ludacris's song Move Bitch.
- We ARE Struggling Together: With Team 10, as even though they share one car, since they're all villains, they all plan on ditching each other the first chance they get.
- You Didn't Ask: This is Lakitu's answer to Lenia's question of why no one told her she could drop out at any time after seeing Dale and Kiki get teleported out of the race.
- You're Insane!: Raven calls Calypso insane as he prepares his nuke to kill the White Fatalis and the remaining contestants.
- You Shall Not Pass!: While being chased by the White Fatalis, the AMX-12T tells Soundwave that he'll hold off the beast. While the AMX-12T does manage to get a few hits in, it doesn't last long before the White Fatalis grabs him and crushes him.
