  • Alpha Q creates the Terrorcons and resurrects Scorponok as part of an effort to steal a load of Energon and restore all the planet that had been consumed by Unicron. Rodimus comes out of the woodwork. After a long series of battles, the planets are restored in a pocket universe, and Galvatron throws himself into the new energon sun in order to annihilate Unicron.   • The United States government establishes so-called Sanctuary Districts in major cities in which the homeless, unemployed, mentally ill, and other undesirables are sequestered. Due to chronic over-crowding, the sanctuaries are subject to frequent food shortages and lack of medical treatment. The public outside the Sanctuaries is kept unaware of the problems.   • As a result of Byogen attacks, four fairies from the Healing Garden travel to the human world and join forces with three girls, creating another team of Pretty Cures. (Healin' Good♡Pretty Cure)
  • Evox is ultimately revealed to be a reborn Venjix Virus. The Power Rangers destroy Evox/Venjix for good through human DNA-infused Morph-X, saving their Earth and avenging the Earth of the Ranger Operators. The Morphing Grid responds by resurrecting the Beast Bot Steel and turning him fully human. (Power Rangers Beast Morphers)
  • The Mars I mission launches for planet Mars, commanded by Luke Graham. Upon arrival, the team discovers a bright white formation in the Cydonia region. Radar initially reports that the formation is metal, but when they increase power to the radar, a large vortex appears and kills everyone except Luke. After the vortex subsides, the formation is revealed to be part of a large humanoid face. A recovery mission is shortly dispatched to try and save them.(Mission to Mars)

  • January 1: The Purists, who oppose humanity mating with aliens, release a plague in the flying city of New Metropolis but Superman III is able to spread the cure throughout the city before anyone dies. (DC Comics)
  • January 15: A malfunctioning experimental wormhole causes a multinational task force to be transported to 1942. (Axis of Time)
  • January: There is a 1,500% increase in GameStop's share price over the course of two weeks due to a short squeeze caused by Redditors. (Real Life) According to the Mirror Park HOA, this contributes to repercussions for the citizens of Los Santos and the fabric of reality. (NoPixel)
  • February 5: The Mirror Park HOA returns to Los Santos and finds that their criminal records have been expunged, their bank accounts and debts have been cleared, their properties have been repossessed, and everyone else's memories of the past several years are incomplete. The HOA assumes that a combination of the GameStop short squeeze and something in the water supply must have caused a Cosmic Retcon. (NoPixel)
  • April 6: Based on Plucky Duck's calculations, this is the date upon which he, Hampton, and Hampton's family will finally arrive at Happy World Land. (Tiny Toon Adventures: How I Spent My Vacation)
  • May 14: The PER attacks Washington D.C. with a massive force of newfoals and Empire loyalists. President Jack Davis nukes the city to prevent it from falling to Queen Celestia's hooves.   • May 23: Mr. Millipede, Gwimbly's sidekick, dies from a fentanyl overdose. (Smiling Friends)
  • June 2: Dot returns to her grandma's house to find that she's considering selling it to Home Equity's Keys-for-Cash promo to pay the bills. Distraught by her grandma's decision, Dot takes a nap, and she later wakes up to find a magic key that makes her time travel through her family's history with housing discrimination. (Dot's Home)
  • July 20: following an anonymous tip from a PER spy, a team of police officers, military forces and the HLF descend upon the PER's Agua Caliente settlement. It is thoroughly destroyed, as scores of newfoals, ponies and human members of the PER are massacred. Jacqueline Reitman survives and is arrested. She is quickly given the death penalty.   • July 21: Noriko Takaya and Kazumi Amano depart Earth to begin their training in space. (Gunbuster)

  • December 29: Mike Block records a rap song while on the run from a first-degree murder warrant. Appropriately, the song is called "On the Run". (NoPixel)
  • Early: Rex Goodwin hosts the Fortune Cup as a ploy to identify the unknown Signers. It is ultimately won by Yusei Fudo, who had recently escaped the Satellite.   • February 9: Wrigley Field in Chicago is attacked with a dirty bomb; in the aftermath, a man attempting to calm the crowds is assassinated. (Year Zero)
  • February 10: The Battle of the Thunderchild commences over Iceland. In an attempt to distract enemy forces and buy refugees time to escape from the onslaught, Lyra faces them herself in a defiant last stand; the HMS Thunderchild is sunk at the end of the battle, before the crew was ponified (except for three that committed suicide). Lyra Heartstrings and her lover Bon-Bon are taken back to Equestria by the Solar Empire's forces. A fixed trial is arranged, and Lyra is sentenced to death by petrification and shattering while Bon-Bon is forced to watch. Doctor Whooves and his family are able to save Bon-Bon but are too late to save Lyra. Bon-Bon is exposed to the Eye of Harmony, inducing a temporal stroke that leaves her with a case of chronological lobular desync disorder; this, combined with the trauma of witnessing Lyra's execution, has all but irreversibly damaged her mental state.   • March 12: The Morning Star delivers a baby to the King and Queen of Sky Land. This baby is named Elle-chan and raised as the princess. (Soaring Sky! PreCure)

Against his commanding officer's orders, Leo takes a second pod and goes in pursuit of Pericles. Entering the storm, Leo loses contact with the Oberon and travels forward to the year 5021.   • March 5: Major Kusanagi assassinates a foreign diplomat attempting to sneak out a government official involved in the assassination of the previous Prime Minister. (Ghost in the Shell)
