[up][up] But it's a Tragic Keepsake for her.

Seriously, even though you have a point, you are sounding really bias against Orihime

@WhirlRX, Eldrake: The difference between a Slave Race and a Servant Race is that the former used to be free and were made into servants, while the latter were specifically created to serve.

Sorry, it bugs me like that.

[down]If they were one and the same, they wouldn't be separate pages to begin with.

I'm still going to keep the trope for Orihime by the way.

Life Entity and Destruction again. Anything more to say about them?

The Life Entity, God of Life Energy (The Entity, The White Lantern, Life, The Tresspasser)

  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: Chakravartin, Shiera Hall
  • On speaking terms with: The other Deaths in the pantheon, Yveltal
  • Additional relationship with: Kyle Rayner (current representative), Thaal Sinestro and Hal Jordan
  • Enemies: Nekron, his Black Lanterns and the GUAD (particularly Nagash and the Lich), Ungoliant, Melkor, Krona, SKYNET
  • Opposes: Alex Wesker, Nurgle and those who have attacked Earth
  • Opposed by: Chernabog, Dhuum, the House of Undead
  • God spoke: "Let There Be Light", and there it was. The Entity is the White Light, the one from where all life began in the DC Universe. During "The Blackest Night", Nekron unearthed the Entity from within the Earth, where the Guardians found and hid it, in order to kill it and end all life in the DCU. However, Nekron was unsuccessful, as first Sinestro was its host, and then Hal Jordan and others brought back by Nekron used the White Entity to restore Black Hand to life, severing Nekron's connection to the mortal plane. Because of Nekron's actions, it was left in a dying state, and it chose four of the twelve it resurrected to become elemental embodiments to create the Swamp Thing to be the new bearer of the White Light in its stead.
    • The Entity's power ended up being spread out to other sentients as seven possible emotions and entities to embody them, who like it require a host. They are the Butcher for rage, Ophidion for avarice, Parallax for fear, Ion for willpower, Adara for hope, the Proselyte for compassion and the Predator for love. Anyone who wields the Life Entity's power is capable of using all seven emotional powers at once. The Life Entity got into the pantheon after transferring itself through the Source Wall. While unchanged, it believes the entities that joined him were recreated as some of the other gods. It came to believe that Madoka Kaname, having become hope, was a reincarnation of Adara.
  • It recently sacrificed himself alongside six of the other seven emotional entities to replenish the emotional reservoir behind the Source Wall to keep the universe from ending, as the reservoir had been depleted by the seven Lantern Corps drawing their lights from the wellspring. While The Entity is dead (for the moment), White Lantern Kyle Rayner acts as his representative in the DCU. The Entity currently resides within the Pantheon at the behest of Eru Ilúvatar, a fellow creative source.
    • As the source of life in the DC Universe, the subject of comic book deaths was brought up. The Life Entity has stated that while it can revive people, it doesn't do so unless need to be; that's why it only revived 14 of the Black Lanterns instead of all of them. Dhuum isn't happy with the Entity because of this, though obviously isn't going to try and kill it. The House of Undead aren't fond of the entity either as the white light burns through them.
  • The Life Entity is closely guarded within the House of Life, as it is feared what will happen should Nekron succeed in capturing and attempting to kill the Entity again. The lives of all characters from the DCU are connected to the Life Entity; should the Entity die, they all die. When not guarded, the Life Entity is able to use its power to restore or create life where there is none, often undoing any destruction caused by the Alliance of Destruction.
    • Asides from Nekron, the Life Entity has a number of other worries. As its life is directly connected to the life of everything that lives in the DC Universe, Nagash, the Lich and SKYNET have immediately targeted him. Krona is also interested in capturing and experimenting on the entity to discover the origin of everything. Melkor, desiring the elimination of his Creative Sterility, seeks to bind it to his will and use that power to take on Eru Illuvatar.
  • The Entity is often visited by the Emotions, to whom it is closely linked because of their connection to life itself. But it is curious as to how only one of them actually represents the same emotion as how they are colored (Anger), while the rest do not. It is considered as an elder authority figure of them, though usually lets them do whatever they want.
    • Will usually visit or associate with other life entities like itself, such as Xerneas. However it would rather not hang out with Nurgle, as it considers the Chaos God to be a perversion of life. Also, while it doesn't have much against Chakravartin as he's a fellow life spinner, the Entity doesn't trust the Creator that much. Still, it gets where his manipulative personality comes from.
  • Closely connected with the House of Nature. In its birth the Life Entity crafted numerous stars, and brought plentiful flora and fauna into the cosmos. It crafted the Earth itself as a home, and while the Gaea of the pantheon is not the same as that Earth she does refer to the entity as a godfather of sorts. Captain Planet may be somewhat related, as like the White Lantern Kyle Rayner combines the powers of special rings. Though it doesn't need the Earth around, it is annoyed by the numerous deities who have tried to or succeeded at destroying Earth and ruining its old home.
    • As the light of life, the Life Entity hangs out in the House of Life and Darkness. There, it has found another primordial life entity in the form of Ezalor. It's unclear whether they're related or not, but they get anyway. Whenever it hangs out with Ezalor, it really frustrates Chernabog who hates the light he produces. He can't do anything about it however since killing the Life Entity would annihilate the DC universe' life and even Chernabog doesn't want that to happen. The Entity is more concerned over Ungoliant, who'd like nothing more than to glut on its light until fit to burst.
  • No-one's sure where exactly the Life Entity came from, though most assume the Presence manifested it into creation, or it's the spark of Eru Illuvatar. Knowing the complicated hierarchy of gods within the DC Multiverse, you can't really be sure. The Life Entity seems to treat Death of the Endless of all beings as its "mother", since she infuses those who are born with life. Didi hasn't stated whether this is true nor not.
    • It does not have anything against the many Deaths of the pantheon; Nekron is more of "the absence of life", and death is simply a natural part of life. Like them it has a job to do. In particular it respects the Death of Discworld a lot for trying to defend life from the Auditors of Reality. Can also understand what Yveltal has to do to keep itself alive and the environment in balance. Has to keep shaking off immortality seekers like Alex Wesker who it finds really annoying.

Destruction of The Endless, God of Creative Sterility (Olethros)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/destruction_endless_final_6235.jpg
  • Overdeity
  • Symbol: A pool of water and a sword, against a red background
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral, with Chaotic Good leanings
  • Portfolio: Giftedly Bad, Walking the Earth, Nice Anthromorphic Personifications, Inverted Middle Child Syndrome, Extremely Tall, Red Is Heroic, former Destroyer Deity
  • Domains: Destruction, Creation, Change, Art, Travel
  • Allies: The other Endless, everyone who has Walked The Earth to find themselves, Wreck-It Ralph, Satan Jacob, Nero, Brain Blessed
  • Enemies: Almost none; few would survive truly angering him. That being said, he's on bad terms with the Lich, Fenrir and Melkor
  • Respects: Anyone who has sworn off a "noninterference" clause to help or meet those below them, such as Tyrael
  • Disrespects: The GUAD, Father, abusive siblings
  • Conflicting Opinion: Beerus
  • In the universe's infancy, the basic aspects and patterns of the universe would manifest into sentient beings. They would be known as the Endless, and the fourth of their number would be Destruction. For billions of years he would serve as an agent of change, but eventually wished to retire from his role, seeking to explore the flip side of the Endless; for him, the subject of creation. Easily the most beloved of the Endless; even Desire respected him. Most gods are generally on good terms with him, and it's considered really poor to piss him off.
    • The pantheon was fascinated by the fact an Endless could leave their role, leading some thoughts as to whether other Endless could have their power taken away. All Grand Alliances are considering this covertly, even the GUAG in case they have no other options. It hasn't gotten anywhere though.
  • Is on good terms with Wreck-It Ralph, due to their mutual poor skills at creating things. Friends with Satan Jacob, due to having adopted a simple life from a formerly godly title.
    • Conflicted on Beerus. While he represents destruction and understands he has to do his duty, he is disturbed by the God of Destruction's tendency to destroy planets. Beerus respects him however, regarding Destruction as a mentor of sorts like Whis.
  • It's believed that when Destruction of the Endless left his role, Fenrir would try to fill the hole. Destruction isn't pleased by Fenrir's desire to destroy everything forever, and has warned the wolf not to try and break creation again. Fenrir has listened to him for the moment. Also does not like the GUAD. Destruction is ultimately a force of change, and it as much about creation as destruction. They're a perversion of the act in his eyes, and he doesn't want anything to do with them.
    • One of the main reasons why Destruction left his role was due to the coming of the Age of Reason, eventually leading to the invention of the atomic bomb. Destruction didn't want any part in it. Naturally, he's pretty disturbed about the Lich, being the worst nuclear weapons have to offer.
  • Due to representing both Destruction and Creation, the Alliances have all made it a top priority to either get him on their side or at least keep him away from the other sides, since he has abandoned the usual duties of the Endless, which prevent them from directly involving themselves, most of the time.
    • Not usually found in the Pantheon, due to the other members of the Endless often being present, instead going on the road to view the world(s). He has so far not expressed any interest in joining any of the Grand Alliances or a specific group, but is often willing to aid anyone who stops by his residence.
  • Has decided to explore the other side of his abilities in the form of creation, leading him to Walking the Earth. Problem is he's really bad at it. Part of his nature make him bad at creativity. He still tries, of course. Him and Nero became friends as they're both Giftedly Bad. It's rather ironic that despite being bad at crafts, he's by far the strongest god in the House of Crafts. As he has a role with creation along with destruction, Nekron has placed him as one of the possible suspects for where the Life Entity. He finds it more likely that his sister Death is the source, but is in enough trouble as it is with her and has less to worry about if he bothers Destruction.
  • Resembles Brian Blessed a lot. It's currently unknown whether Destruction based his appearance on him, or Brian Blessed on Destruction. Hell, it could be both. Also had a talking dog called Barnabus. He's since given him to Delirium to look after her.

  • Allies: Dudley, Little Mac
  • Ascended after sustaining his 101st loss despite the aid of protective headgear.
  • Glass Joe's ascent was all part of Wizardmon's plan. Wizardmon needed Glass Joe's uncanny endurance to hold off as many of the non-divine members of the GUAE as possible. To that end, he attempted to rerouted Glass Joe's Headgear from the Treasure Vault into his own private vault to ensure Glass Joe lasts as long as possible. Unfortunately, not only has Joe retired from battle, but Wizardmon's plan fell through, and he only has one of the weaker green models.
  • Despite having a very bad losing streak, one has to be amazed at how he'll always keep coming back for more punishment.
  • It is believed that the one person that Glass Joe managed to defeat was Mike freaking Tyson himself! This is believed to have come from making a wish to Calypso in order to defeat the world champion. Too bad that he didn't wish to defeat anyone else.
  • Has gotten Dudley's respect for his determination and is now training under him. Also found that Little Mac ascended, but has no animosity against him and trains with Mac also.

Sagat, God of Muay Thai and Achey Scars (Emperor of Muay Thai, 'Victor' Sagat)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sagat_5642.jpg
  • Theme Song: Theme of Sagat - IV.

  • Symbol: His Chest, Displaying His Achey Scars.

  • Portfolio: Muay Thai, Awesome Baldies, Eyepatch of Power, Achey Scars, Worthy Opponent, Ruthlessness Mixed With Nobility, Realization Of Scumbaggery And Atoning For It, Kid-Friendly, Tiger Uppercut/Blow.
  • Domain: Sports, Combat, Fighting, Honor.
  • Followers: Joe Higashi, Bruce Irvin, Brad Burns
  • Allies: Ryu, Ken Masters, Dan Hibiki, Zangief, Sol Badguy, The Way to the Dawn, Charles Xavier
  • Worthy Opponent: Date Masamune, King (Art of Fighting/KOF), Ryo Sakazaki
  • Enemies: M. Bison, Vega, Balrog, Adon
  • Odd Friendship: Tigress
  • Was once counted as Bison's henchman, a stigma that Sagat may not be able to cleanse completely (due to some things, like cornflakes, believe it or not). However, he's set to spend the rest of his existence cleaning up for that act, and also cut ties with the Shadaloo, thus his resolve got him chosen, on recommendation of Sol.
    • His title as King of Muay Thai is now a ceremonial title; there just wasn't enough followers of his sport to maintain his power. Instead, he claimed a new title to compensate. His scar, the one that Ryu gave him so many years ago, was what secured his placement in the Pantheon. Count that as yet another ironic way of thanks from the karate master.
  • He's also close to Zangief this way, being those who suffer villainous portrayal until some Retcon save their roles. He is currently taking M.Bison´s seat in the Bad Guy Anon as part of his progression.
  • His relations with Dan has been...tumulous to say the least. He first fought Dan many moons ago as a revenge ploy for the death of his father. It came to a complete surprise that he lost the fight. Satisfied, Dan spared his life and mended relationships. Sagat won't comment on how he lost, but many speculate that the King of Muay Thai threw the fight to help Dan get over his father's death.
  • Has often come to the Combat house to spar with his best rival Ryu. For some reason, Sagat usually declines invitation to come to the Combat House instead, he thinks within the Sports house, he could also teach mortals about Muay Thai for good self-defense.
  • Sagat wants to be especially sure that his former student Adon never gets anywhere near the Pantheon. Sagat greatly despises Adon and holds him as one of his greatest failures, and while he doesn´t really see him as a threat, Sagat knows that Adon would easily become influenced by the acts of the more malevolent entities of the Pantheon such as Yuuki or the Joker, and could easily cross the moral line just to achieve his desire of being worshipped as a god.
    • Unfortunately, enough of his followers defected to Adon side to bring about his ascension. Adon immediately challenged the old man in response, intent on reclaiming the title of God of Muay Thai. The match ended how it last did, with Sagat wiping the floor of the arrogant fool before tossing him out of his temple. It's unlikely to deter his former student from making future challenges.
  • Rumor has it that his ascension may be due to an ever-growing internet movement, which had progressed to "Put_Sagat_In_Pantheon".
  • Sagat has learned that, in an alternate Street Fighter universe created by Masahiko Nagahira, Sagat never accepted the offer to join Shadaloo in the first place, his former student Adon took his place in the organization, and he learned his lesson much earlier. This discovery has improved Sagat´s reputation slightly, and caused Sagat to develop a whole new level of contempt for the non-ascended Adon.
  • He never thought that he could find case of redemption that were far more dire than his. That was the case when he formally signed up to join the Way of the Dawn to help bring it to operations. The other deities were glad to have his fighting skills added to the roster. The group serves as inspiration to continue with his atonement.
  • Admits that Date handles the eyepatch just as well as him. Is also a good enough opponent to fight him to a draw.
  • Was once challenged by a French woman with short hair. The former bodyguard turned bar owner has heard of his skills and wished to compare his Muay Thai with her own. Sagat agreed to her terms and the fight was on. While she lost the fight, she didn't take the loss seriously, instead inviting him to the House of Food for a drink.
  • Initially applied to get the title Bald Of Awesome, but ultimately lost out to Charles Xavier. At first he didn't take the loss well, not liking how the telepath can beat most opponents with a thought. But a conversation revealed the man to be wiser than previously thought. Xavier himself was glad to see Sagat turn a new leaf with a new perspective in life.
  • It is said that Sagat uses the ferocity of the tiger into many of his moves. It was only recently that he managed to take on an actual tiger in the Pantheon. After a brief spar with Tigress, the two discussed their fight over tea. The reserved fighters saw a lot in common, including their struggles to contain their rages.
  • Paid a visit to the Kyokugenryu School to see the star champion Ryo. Sagat had heard that this school of karate had five forms of study. He wanted Ryo to fight him using the Tiger (Kou-Ou). Eager to promote the school, Ryo accepted. Afterwards, the two promised to spar some more. When asked about his former pupil King, Sagat shrugged his shoulders, telling him the bouncer already talked about their situation in length.

  • Enemies: Admiral Thrawn, Sheev Palpatine, Daleks, The Combine, The Flood, The Cybermen, The Master, The Borg Queen
  • Opposes: Sundowner
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: The Doctor
  • Honor Harrington has been in the Pantheon for as long as man has built legions of spaceships in the name of war. After a while, she decided to take a break from the Pantheon to take care of some personal business. When she returned, Honor was shocked to see the area in shambles, with no one to take up her role. She immediately reinstated herself into the Pantheon. With her empowered fleet, order was swiftly restored. She promised never to abandon her position, striving to make space safe for all to travel on.
  • Some have speculated that Thrawn had suggested for Honor Harrington to go on her vacation. With her gone, he can sabotage her temple to prevent her from re-entering the Pantheon. It may hold water as relations between the two have deteriorated ever since her return.
  • Is on good terms with both Samantha and Susan, being seen as their superior. Samantha is grateful that Honor is one of the few officers that doesn't see her as an almighty space ace.
    • As a result, she has banned any of her followers from supporting the Empire as well as the First Order. Palpatine responded by sending his troopers against her navy fleet. The two have engaged in conflict ever since.
  • As much as she is proud of her heritage, she does not think of war as a way to give others a way to profit from. As such, she has cut all contracts with Sundowner and encourages others in the House of War to do the same. The fact that he encouraged child soldiers made the decision even easier.
  • Her followers see Mal Reynalds as a thorn to their fleets, disrupting their operations with raids. Honor has agreed to uphold the law and capture the crew. Still, she feels that the man has been rightfully wronged when he served in his world. When Mal revealed what his world government did to River, she swiftly kicked them out of her temple.
  • Goes about telling Minna-Dietlinde about her experiences when she was a Commander in her fleet. Nowadays, her official rank won't even fit in a business card let alone her speeches.. Admiral is good enough for her.
  • Few people would guess that she's a cyborg. It's just that her enhancements are easy to hide from plain view. Some theorize that she got help from the God of Cyborgs himself.
  • Her armies have been instrumental in keeping the Chaos Gods contained. Thus, she works closely with the God-Emperor in their journies. She isn't comfortable in all of their activities, but understood what he had to do in the face of his terrifying opponents.
  • While her fleets are formidable, sometimes a smaller force is necessary to surprise a superior foe. She is responsible for assigning missions Shepard and his crew to protect space. Shepard finds her much easier to cooperate with in comparison to the Illusive Man.
  • It is advised never to get in the way of Honor and Godot whenever they start one of the most legendary arguments in the Pantheon: coffee or cocoa. Their debates can go on to days. And woe be the person that tries to chime in, lest that person gets eviscerated by one side, likely ending with that person running away crying.
  • Can also be seen enjoying steak with Chie. If you're lucky, you could see them in a steak eating contest. Both have rather big appetites, making it an even affair. Still, Honor would rather have it be a kept secret, especially to her peers in the House of War.
  • Although the Federation no longer acts as a military, they still appreciate the support Honor gives them when going through dangerous swaths of space.
  • The recent Doctors have an aversion to working with military figures. This has put a strain in their team ups as of late. Honor admits he does a great job in crises, but wishes he stops being so stiff about using military force.
    • There is one enemy that she consults the Doctor with at all costs: The Master. The mad time lord has successfully outfoxed her and her fleets at every turn. Whenever the Master strikes, Honor admits she can't usually beat him/her alone.
  • Humanity in general has thank her for being in the front lines against alien invaders. The Daleks and Combine forces constantly clash with her own throughout the multiverse in the Pantheon in general. Though of lower rank than either, she manages to bounce back due to her strategic prowess and help from some individual heroes.
  • Cyberman and the Borg Queen seek out to assimilate her followers. They believe that their knowledge can help them develop better strategies to help their conquests. Honor has been aware of this and has fortified her forces to make them less vulnerable to ambushes.
  • While the Flood is already hated by virtually every other deity in the Pantheon, Honor personally lists wiping them off the face of the multiverse as one of her main goals. She works together with Master Chief to makes this a reality.

How many tropes are characters allowed to be God of, since I know some Gods have multiple tropes?

Because when I looked it up, I figured that Homura Akemi may be better suited to having Important Hair Accessory added to their profile.

[up] That is why I asked about how many tropes can be added to a God. Goku's got three (Kamehamehadouken, Super Mode, and Battle Aura).

In regards to Important Hair Accessory, the extent of Inoue's hairpins is: a keepsake of her brother, and the focus for her powers, but not much relevance as a focus in regards to her character development.

On the other hand:

Homura originally wore her hair braided in the original time-line. But after too many timelines where Madoka died or became a witch too many times, she let her hair down. After Madoka became a Goddess, Homura took to wearing Madoka's hair ribbons as a remembrance for her friend. When Homura became a Devil, the hair ribbon is tainted to a darker color, and the knot changes to look like a butterfly. In the sense of Homura, her hairstyle and the accessory/accessories associated with it comes to show how Homura's character changes throughout the Madoka story-line, which more closely fits the trope than Inoue's hairpins would.

As I said, I have learnt from past mistakes to instead focus on which characters would be best suited for which trope, rather than characters that I would personally like to see in the Pantheon.

[up] Yes. There is no need for already ascended deity hogging other tropes if they already have one.

[up][up]I'm pretty sure that putting this much effort into preventing a character you don't like from ascending is worse.

I believe the current limit is two unless a better example comes along, though things like Anthropomorphic Personification are more titles than anything. And that's in contention

I suggest that Terry Pratchett could get a better profile and instead represent the Theory of Narrative Causality. I would do it but I don't know enough to give a rework of him justice.

There are a couple of profiles that have more than 2 titles but we will see what we do with them.

[up][up] That reminds me of the Kuriboh-Dan Hibiki incident. When someone wanted Dan to have both Joke Character and Lethal Joke Character

[up] It was a Toony and Faso and me ordeal.

Though, I think it was changing Dan into a Lethal Joke Character because of use right, he can be good.

I think Ryu has four. Though, three are standard trope of fireball, dragon punch and hurricane kick.

[up]I forgot who was the original idea was but I acquired Kuriboh for Lethal Joke Character. Also, I think someone could make any joke character work, through determination, masochism, thoughtfulness, or luck.

@J Rads 47 : The character is already ascended. Check here, and her name is on the list under another trope in another part of the Pantheon: Trope Pantheon - Bleach

So the issue is, more accurately, this: Whirl RX wants to change the character's title, but I also provided an example of another character who, while already having a title of their own, would be better suited to the suggested trope - Important Hair Accessory - based on the context of the trope itself.

In Inoue's case, the Hairpins, as pointed out by someone else, earlier, are more like a Tragic Keepsake that double as the focus of her powers.

On the other hand, Homura's hair accessories changed throughout Madoka Magica as a reflection of changes to her character, as I explained above.

I simply suggest this for Homura instead because we do have examples of Gods holding more than one trope in their title (the highest number I've seen is three). Considering how significant the Important Hair Accessory trope is in reflecting Homura's development throughout the story, I simply feel she is more suited to the trope, as a result..

@fasoman1996 : In that case, wouldn't the issue be that the two tropes have a fine line dividing them - a Joke Character is a joke character no matter what; a Lethal Joke Character is one whose premise is that of a joke, but is surprisingly dangerous and effective, contrary to a normal Joke Character. As a result, you can't have a Lethal Joke Character double as the vanilla Joke Character.

[up] There is one glaring difference because Orihime's trope was only based on the Leekspin meme. We really want something better than that and whirl offered to change her trope.

Homura doesn't need either an addition nor a trope change
