The Many Dates of Danny Fenton is a crossover fanfic mainly focused on Danny Phantom, written by Flower princess11.

After much urging from Tucker, Danny reluctantly signs up for a teen dating service and winds up going on a bunch of blind dates with a bunch of girls from many other works for a month until he finds his "match".

List of the girls featured as his dates in order: Kim Possible, Alex, Gwen Tennyson, Emma, Diana Lombard, Sabrina Spellman, Kara Kent, Jenny Wakeman, Cree Lincoln, Violet Parr, Jen Masterson, Phantasma, Vicky, Wendy Corduroy, Debbie Thornberry, April O'Neil, Gwen, Angelica Pickles, Kitty Pryde, Makoto Kino, Katie Kaboom, Penny Proud, Ginger Foutley, Spectra Vondergeist, Musa, Felicia Hardy, Daria Morgendorffer, Barbara Gordon, Cleo Setori, and Starfire.

The fanfic began on December 8, 2018, and ended on April 15, 2019, with a fic that focuses on Danny and his chosen girl (Kara Kent), known as Danny and Kara, promised shortly afterwards. Found here.

The Many Dates of Danny Fenton
  • Accidental Kiss: Between Danny and Sabrina, in the chapter "A BeWITCHing Evening".
  • Action Girl: A lot of the girls Danny goes out with either have powers, are secret heroes, or Badass Normals.
  • Adaptational Jerkass: Sam's Clingy Jealous Girl tendencies are more noticeable here than in canon.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul:
    • Regardless of who Danny chooses as his perfect match, his relationship with Sam never becomes romantic.
    • For Danny to be on dates with Gwen Tennyson and Violet Parr, they are either broken up with their respective boyfriends or they just haven’t officially gotten together with them.
    • For Danny to be married to Kim Possible, her canon relationship with Ron never blossomed into romance.
  • Adaptation Species Change: Katie Kaboom's transformations were never given an explanation in Animaniacs, only meant to be a joke on No Periods, Period. Here, it's suggested she's a mutant, like the X-Men.
  • Adults Are Useless: Katie's parents are helpless to stop her transformations. Later subverted, however, when it's revealed that they are trying to help her get control of her powers.
  • Affably Evil: Cree at the start of her date, though she drops the Affably part after Danny dumps her upon discovering her Child Hater nature.
  • Affectionate Nickname:
    • While not really nicknames, Danny and Sabrina seem partial to calling each other "Mr. Phantom" and "Ms. Spellman".
    • Phantasma insists on her nickname of "Phanty".
    • Katie Kaboom seems fond of calling Danny "Pookie Bear", much to his dismay.
    • Danny and Kara's daughter Alura is nicknamed "Ally".
    • Danny and Sabrina's daughter Tabitha is nicknamed "Tabbi".
    • Danny and Kitty's daughter Madeline is nicknamed "Madge".
    • Danny and Phantasma's son Eidolonius is nicknamed "Eddie".
    • Danny and Kim's daughter Anne is lovingly called "Annie" or "Annie-Bear".
  • Age-Gap Romance: Not every girl Danny dates is 14 like him. Some are at least a year younger than him note , while other girls are as old as 16. However, neither Danny nor any of the girls have a problem with their date being younger or older than they are.
  • Amazon Chaser: Danny seems to be the most attracted to girls who are also super-powered or have hero double lives.
  • All Girls Want Bad Boys: Defied. According to Musa, she had a thing for bad boys but is now interested in meeting a Nice Guy that she can get along with.
  • All Women Are Lustful: Seems to be Katie Kaboom's biggest flaw aside from her temper, much to Danny's dismay. To clarify, in her second encounter with Danny, she spends the entire day clinging to him, smothering him with hugs and kisses, and according to Danny, she once played footsie with him when they had lunch together. She also seems to be unaware of the fact that her affections are unwanted.
  • And I'm the Queen of Sheba: Not believing Dipper's claim that there's nothing wrong, Danny says, "Yeah, and I'm a blonde...".
  • And This Is for...: Alex shouts, "This is for ruining my date!" while trying to punch Tim Scam, who dodges, activates a gadget, and retorts, "And this is for getting on my nerves!".
  • Artistic License: Obviously, it would be difficult for Danny to go out with Violet Parr (as The Incredibles takes place in the '60s) or Jenny Wakeman (as My Life as a Teenage Robot is set 20 Minutes into the Future compared to Danny Phantom being set in modern times, or at least the mid 2000's). The author even admits to taking creative liberties.
  • Ascended Fanboy: In the ending where Danny picks Kara, he is revealed to be a huge fan of Superman and the Justice League and ends up joining them in the future. He even becomes the cousin-in-law of his idol, The Man Of Steel.
  • Attractive Bent Species: Downplayed, but Starfire admits that Danny's ghost form reminds her of her fellow Tamaranians. She likely finds him attractive in this form.
  • Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other:
    • As much as Katie's family fears her, after Danny yelled at her, they looked visibly concerned and tried to comfort her.
    • In the alternate ending where Danny chooses Penny Proud, Suga Mama's stated to have passed away about six months after they got married. Despite how tense their relationship was, Oscar gave his mother a touching eulogy at her funeral.
  • Babies Ever After:
    • Danny's nightmare after unintentionally running into Katie Kaboom features them getting married and having 8 daughters who are just like their mother.
    • The epilogue shows Danny and Kara married and with two kids, a daughter named Alura "Ally" Madeline Fenton and a younger son named Jackie "Clark" Fenton.
    • In the alternate ending where Danny chooses Sabrina, they have a daughter named Tabitha Samantha "Tabbi" Fenton.
    • In the alternate ending where Danny chooses Kitty, they have a son named Peter Charles Fenton and a daughter named Madeline "Madge" Ororo Fenton.
    • In the alternate ending where Danny chooses Musa, they have a daughter named Matlin.
    • In the alternate ending where Danny chooses Phantasma, they have a son named Eidolonius "Eddie" Phantom.
    • In the alternate ending where Danny chooses Kim, they have a daughter named Anne "Annie" Madeline Fenton.
    • In the alternate ending where Danny chooses Makoto/Lita, they have a daughter named Mako.
    • In the alternate ending where Danny chooses Felicia, they have a son named Felix Peter Fenton and a daughter named Felicity Lydia Fenton.
    • The alternate ending with Penny Proud starts with them childless, but she eventually reveals to Danny that she's pregnant—they decide to name the baby either Neil Martin Fenton if it's a boy or Josephine Rhea Fenton if it's a girl (while also calling her "Josie" as a nickname).
    • In the alternate ending where Danny chooses Alex, they have a son named Oliver "Ollie" Jackson Fenton and a daughter named Daisy Fenton.
    • Katie's fantasy in the alternate ending where Danny is still single has them with twins named Callie and DJ.
  • Bad Date: A Running Gag is that each of Tucker's dates wind up being this due to his misleading profile.
    • Danny did end up going on a few of them, 3-4, it seems.
  • Battle Couple: During the times both Danny and the girl he goes out with discover each other's identity, they will team up to take down whichever villain appears to spoil their date.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me:
    • The girls who have issues grow interested in Danny because he's not giving them trouble and acts considerate to them.
    • A platonic example would be Buttons. After Danny stands up for him against the typical ungratefulness of his owners, the large dog becomes friends with Danny and later tries to help him against Katie at the carnival.
    • The mime from Animaniacs is so used to bad things happening to him that, because Danny pushed him out of the way of a falling anvil, he helps keep Danny safe from Katie.
  • Berserk Button:
    • It doesn't matter if he is out on a date with you or not, Danny will not tolerate anyone hurting innocent people, especially kids. Cree and Vicky learn this the hard way.
    • A lesser one is that Danny won't accept being disrespected on his blind date and will be quick to tell the person who did it off.
  • Beauty Equals Goodness: Averted and Zig-Zagged since the girls Danny goes out with are considered attractive to some point, regardless of their moral alignment. One exception could be Vicky, since Danny, even before being exposed to her nasty nature, couldn't bring himself to call her pretty.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Danny is a nice, easygoing guy who treats the girls he dates with respect and consideration... but he's also someone you don't wanna piss off.
  • Be Yourself: Due to Tucker lying on his dating profile, his dates always end up going south. When he's finally honest on his profile, he manages to get a good date with Velma Dinkley.
  • Big Brother Instinct:
    • Danny defends the KND from Cree, being reminded of how protective he is towards Danielle.
    • Jazz's Big Sister Instinct kicks in when she notices how much Danny wants to avoid Katie Kaboom.
  • Big Damn Heroes: In Chapter 26, Danny ends up rescuing the girls of Monster High from the Guys in White.
  • Birds of a Feather: Danny finds plenty of his dates share similarities with him that help him bond with them. Whether it's a double life like with Kim or Makoto, feelings of longing or heartbreak like with Emma or Violet, or being a superhero like Kara or Kitty.
    • After being honest on his profile, Tucker finds a date with Velma Dinkley, both of whom are geeky sidekicks.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Yeah, unfortunately Danny has already gone out with a couple of them, Cree (KND) and Vicky (FOP).
  • Blind Date: The entire premise of this fic is Danny being set up on a series of blind dates with girls from other fandoms.
  • Blonde, Brunette, Redhead: Danny has gone out with a few of each.
  • Book Ends: Danny's first and last dates are a redhead with green eyes he's constantly shipped with in other fanfictions. They both end up being among the dates he enjoys his time with the most.
  • Boyfriend-Blocking Dad:
    • Phanty's father attacks Danny after he catches the two of them together on their blind date.
    • Oscar Proud intrudes on Penny's date with Danny. Suga Mama even believes he goes too far.
  • Bully Hunter: Makoto defends Danny from Dash and his pals, putting them through physical pain until they leave him alone.
  • Butt-Monkey:
    • Tucker, due to his misleading profile and refusal to change it, ends up with incompatible girls and gets bad dates. Even when the girls decide to give him a chance, they are turned off by his lame come-on lines.
    • Dash, whenever he tries to intrude on Danny's dates, gets some form of karma.
    • Even Danny isn't excluded from this. He was pretty much this during his blind date with Vicky and Katie. At least in the former, he manages to get some payback.
  • Call-Back: In "Snippets, Part 2", the snippet involving Violet Parr racing to meet Danny for their date has her being interrupted by multiple crimes taking place and she decides to help after checking her watch and saying, "I (still) got time" — the same thing that happened to her dad when he was going to his wedding in the prologue of The Incredibles.
  • Captive Date: An unintentional example, but Katie makes Danny go on another “date” with her when she runs into him at a carnival and Danny is too terrified of her monstrous transformation when angered to say no. Though it doesn’t stop him from running away from her the first chance that he gets.
  • Casanova Wannabe: Even when girls give Tucker a chance despite his misleading profile, his lame come-ons cause them to leave.
  • Cat Girl: Felicia Hardy/Black Cat.
  • Character Development: Danny in a romantic sense, compared to the original series. He once was a little shallow and all it took was a pretty face like Paulina's to blind him to the rest of her less-than-stellar traits that made her an imperfect match. Here, while taking this dating service, he has been shown to want more than just a pretty face to look at; he wants somebody he can be compatible with and who shares his interests.
  • Chick Magnet: Surprising enough, Danny. With a few exceptions, he has managed to hit it off well with most of the girls he has gone out with. More than one of whom is a Head-Turning Beauty who is seen as way out of his league by more than a couple of people. Even Savannah Shane, Angelica's rival, is impressed by Danny and silently thinks he’s cute.
  • Child Hater:
    • Cree Lincoln, just like in canon.
    • Vicky as well.
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: It doesn't matter if he is in another town or if his date has powers/skills of her own, Danny just can't sit by and ignore a cry for help.
  • Celeb Crush: It's shown that Danny used to have a big crush on fellow hero Supergirl before the accident...which resurfaces when he goes on a date with her civilian self Kara.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl:
    • Valerie shows jealousy towards Felicia when she sees her on a date with Danny.
    • Meg to Tucker and Katie to Danny, to stalker levels.
    • Dipper becomes a Clingy Jealous Guy when Wendy goes out with Danny. He hopes to prove Danny is some kind of beast, partly so Wendy will stay away.
    • "Blooper" has Sam interrupting a scene and kissing Danny out of jealousy, much to Sabrina and the Director's annoyance.
    • In the ending where Danny chooses her, Felicia/Black Cat becomes this towards him.
  • Commonality Connection: Sabrina and Danny bond over being teenagers with supernatural abilities who live secret lives.
  • Cool Old Lady: Suga Mama's definitely this—unlike Oscar (her son), Suga Mama's very supportive of Danny's relationship with her granddaughter, Penny, largely because she senses Danny's basic decency.
  • Comical Overreacting: Averted with Katie Kaboom, since her condition is treated as a serious threat by Danny.
  • Covered in Kisses: Danny ends up being covered in kisses by some of his dates.
    • Kitty Pryde covers him in kisses after their date ends. Danny's pretty smitten with her as a result.
    • Katie Kaboom kisses him repeatedly, though Danny is more in shock since this is a girl he wants to stay away from. It happens again after he runs into her at a carnival.
    • He later receives a barrage of kisses from the girls of Monster High as a thank you for saving them from the Guys In White, resulting in this once again.
  • Creator Cameo: The story's writer Flower princess11 occasionally makes an appearance, as she is the one who runs the dating service.
  • Cute Monster Girl: Danny has gone out with a couple of them.
  • Dating Catwoman: Danny unknowingly goes on a date with the Black Cat, who flirts with him in and out of costume.
  • Dating Service Disaster: Played With and Zig-Zagged with You+Me=LOVE! that both Danny and Tucker sign up for.
    • In Danny's case, he gets along well with most of the girls he meets, and any disasters happen due to outside forces.
    • Zig-Zagged with Tucker, who gets paired up with mean, unattractive, or just plain weird girls as a Running Gag, but this mostly stems from him lying on his dating profile. When he finally fixes his profile so that it's more honest, he has a surprisingly nice date with Velma Dinkley.
  • Deconstruction Crossover:
    • Some chapters deconstruct the flaws several characters have through their interactions with Danny. Vicky and Cree show how someone would react to a child-hating villain.
    • Tucker's Casanova Wannabe behavior also gets dragged through the mud, since it leads to dates that are almost always terrible.
    • Katie Kaboom's transformations, which were meant to be comedic, are treated as horrifying to someone not from Animaniacs.
    • While many people don't notice Daria's snarky, aloof and blunt personality in her own show, here, Danny does notice and is hurt by her words and actions.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen:
    • Gwen of Total Drama Island. She starts off uninterested in being on a blind date, but Danny telling her off is what causes her to snap out of it.
    • Debbie Thornberry was exasperated about being forced onto a blind date by her parents, but loosens up a bit after being charmed by Danny.
    • Downplayed with Daria's personality. Once she realizes how off-putting she's being, she unbends a bit, at least enough to find a rapport with Danny.
  • Doting Grandparent: Regardless of who Danny chooses, their elders are very loving towards their grandchildren, even the ones who don't like Danny.
    • A noticeable example would be in the ending where Danny chooses Phantasma and they have a son named Eidolonius "Eddie" Phantom. Phantasma's father, The Phantom, makes it clear that he hates Danny yet he adores his grandson, "Little Eddie", having a very playful and affectionate relationship with him.
    • James and Ann Possible love their granddaughter Annie very much, giving her cookies and a hovercar. James even uses his "anything is possible for a Possible" line, even though Danny notes that her last name is Fenton.
  • Double Standard: Abuse, Female on Male: Played With. On one hand, Katie's overly affectionate behavior with Danny is partially Played for Laughs at the beginning. However, as time progresses, it's not being treated comically anymore as Danny is clearly stressed out from Katie's constant touching and flirting with him. She's also completely unaware of how he's reacting around her.
  • Dramatic Irony: Katie Kaboom had a great time on her blind date with Danny and even falls in love with him as a result. However, she is completely unaware of the fact that the only reason Danny did so many nice things for her during their date was because he did not want to risk her turning into a monster again, and if anything, he seems to not want anything to do with her as a result.
  • Dudley Do-Right Stops to Help: One of the snippets based on alternate endings shows Violet Parr stopping to help people while on her way to a date with Danny.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending:
    • Regardless of the true ending, the alternate endings, or the snippets, Danny will still find love and happiness with the girl he chooses to be with.
    • During at least one alternate ending, Katie reforms and finally gets a chance with Danny as adults.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Felicia Hardy/Black Cat isn't technically evil, just a thief and troublemaker, but there are villainous and even some unscrupulous acts that she won't condone.
  • Everyone Loves Blondes:
    • Two of Danny's dates that he gets along with well and learn his secret identity are Sabrina Spellman (specifically the one from Sabrina's Secret Life) and Supergirl, both blondes.
    • Debbie Thornberry is also blonde and while originally reluctant to go on the blind date, she quickly warms up to Danny, and the two end up having a great time together.
    • Averted with Angelica and Katie. Angelica does turn out to be a nicer person than Danny realizes, though he sees no potential future with her. As for Katie, Danny is horrified that she falls for him at the end of their date due to having witnessed her "condition" firsthand.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Cree Lincoln could not understand why Danny was nice to a little kid or why he cares when he saw her beating on kids. Justified because it's implied that the Teens and Kids were/are in a secret war and Cree Lincoln's hatred for kids was considered a normal thing.
  • Evil-Detecting Dog:
    • Cat in this case, but Salem, having been a warlock, can sense Danny's innate supernatural abilities.
    • While Katie isn't evil, her presence causes Buttons to be terrified of her.
  • Evil Versus Evil: Ember McLain and The Trix fight over who will attack Danny and Musa during their date.
  • Explosive Breeder: The brief description of Danny's possible future with Starfire states she gave birth to Human/Ghost/Tamaranean hybrid quadruplets, 2 boys and 2 girls named Sunfire, Nightfire, Bonfire and Sapphire.
  • Fatal Flaw: As expected, Tucker's ego. His overconfident attitude and view of himself is drawing girls like Bonnie Rockwaller and Mandy instead of girls who would actually like him.
  • Femme Fatale: Black Cat.
  • Fire-Forged Friends:
    • Sabrina and Danny work together to stick it in Vlad's craw when he tries to ruin their date.
    • Similarly, Danny and Kara end up working together to deal with various threats, with their friendship solidified during a fight with Skulker.
  • First Girl Wins: The ending where Danny chooses Kim is this since she is the first girl from the dating service he had gone out with.
    • Technically speaking, the original ending with Kara is this. Sure, while Kara is not the first girl from the service that Danny went out with (she's the 7th), he admits to having been infatuated with her Supergirl persona since the eighth grade, long before he even showed signs of even liking (his canon love interest) Sam.
  • First Love: As far as blind dates go, Kim was not only Danny's first date but also the first girl he liked out of the month's worth and he still thought fondly of her afterwards.
  • Flowers of Romance: Danny always starts his dates by giving the girls a bouquet.
  • Foot Popping: Katie Kaboom does this when she kisses Danny at the end of their date.
  • Forceful Kiss:
    • Danny ends up receiving a big one at the hands of Katie Kaboom at the end of their date, much to his dismay. It happens AGAIN when he finds himself stuck with her at the carnival during the "A Little Break" arc.
    • To get Dash and the A-listers off Danny's back, Feilcia kisses him in front of everyone. Danny expresses that he wishes she didn't do that without asking him first and she apologizes.
  • Forgiveness:
    • In the alternate ending where Danny chooses Kitty, he eventually comes to forgive Katie for all the trouble she caused him.
    • In the ending with Felicia, Danny is upset to learn she's the Black Cat and ends their relationship. Her stalking and following him around only made things worse. However, Taking the Bullet for him in a fight with Vlad Plasmius convinces him she loves him and he forgives her.
  • Formula-Breaking Episode: There have been two chapters that don't take place on one of Danny's dates. One is Tucker's date with Lisa of American Dad! which ends poorly. The other is Jazz recognizing how boring her summer vacation is due to her brother's dates, his friends being busy, and that the ghosts are barely attacking Amity Park.
  • Fourth-Wall Observer: Like in their series, the Warner Siblings are fully aware they're fictional characters and take full advantage of it. Danny, someone who has no such ability in canon, is confused about who they're talking to.
  • Friend to All Children: 14-year-old Danny Fenton will snap at people who harm small children, as Cree, Vicky, Mindy's parents, and Katie discover.
  • Girl of the Week: More like Girl of the Chapter since the point is that Danny goes on a series of blind dates, meeting a new girl that he hits it off with... most of the time anyway.
  • Good Parents: Regardless of who he chooses, Danny and his chosen girl will grow up to be good parents to their kids.
  • Gold Digger:
    • Vicky went on the 13th date with Danny, only to ditch him when she found out he wasn't rich.
    • Bonnie Rockwaller became this to Danny in the fifth alternate ending, trying to steal him from Kim after his identity as Danny Phantom was revealed since she wanted a rich and famous boyfriend. His love for Kim and Bonnie originally dismissing him as a geek made his disinterest clear.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Two of the girls that Danny has gone out with are Sabrina, a Cute Witch, and Kara aka Supergirl, both of whom are blonde and as nice as they come, if somewhat spunky.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Exaggerated with Katie Kaboom due to her powers. When something sets her off, she turns into a monster that's nearly unstoppable.
  • Happily Married: Whether it's Kim, Sabrina, or his real choice of Kara, all of the endings have Danny living a happy life with his chosen girl and their children.
  • Hard Truth Aesop: As Katie discovers in the "A Little Break" chapters, just because you had a wonderful time on your date doesn't mean the person you went out with did. Not only was Danny not as interested as she was, but she was uncomfortably affectionate to the point of making him unwilling to be with her even without her monstrous transformation. In all stories set after this, regardless of timeline, just because Katie made a conscious effort to turn for the better, that didn't mean Danny would instantly forgive her, as her actions still made him scared to even talk about her. It would take doing something that wasn't meant to earn forgiveness, like saving someone he cares for, that finally convinces him to do so. Sometimes, it's best to let a person you hurt forgive you when they want to, not because you made an effort to better yourself from how you were. Girls like Kim let Danny know he's not in the wrong to not forgive Katie right away.
  • Has a Type: Danny seems to like strong, independent girls who also have good natures, most of whom are also redheads.
  • Hate Sink: Dash is an even bigger jerk to Danny than usual, with none of his Pet the Dog moments from the series present. He frequently tries to bully or humiliate Danny while attempting to steal his dates.
  • Head-Turning Beauty: Many of the girls that Danny goes out with seem to have this effect on him.
    • On his first date, Danny was rather reluctant and didn't really care for how it would go. Then he sees what his date, Kim Possible, looks like. He's immediately in awe of how attractive she is and quickly becomes optimistic.
    • Perhaps the most blatant example is Felicia Hardy; Danny does a Jaw Drop when he first sees her and outright describes her as "perfect". When they later go to Nasty Burger, she catches the attention of every boy there.
    • The Warner Brothers give this reaction to Jazz, who naturally freaks out over it.
  • Hero of Another Story: In the Barbara Gordon snippet, it's said "Batman and Robin were out of town, helping Superman deal with some crisis in Metropolis".
  • Hilarious Outtakes: The final chapter (59) involves a series of bloops and outtakes over the "filming" of the story, even involving an over-stressed director.
  • Honorary Uncle:
    • Danny's children in the actual ending refer to Tucker and Velma as their uncle and aunt.
    • In the fifth alternate Ending, Danny and Kim's daughter, Annie, regards her mother's old friend as "Uncle Wade".
  • Hypocrite: Danny holds Katie’s parents in contempt for not making more of an effort to rein in their daughter. However, he spent his entire time on both dates with Katie fearfully pampering her to keep her from getting mad as well. The difference is that Danny learned about an institute that can help Katie control her powers but (until he snaps at her, makes her realize what she is and she decides to get anger management) decided she was too crazy to reason with (comparing her to Vlad) so he didn’t bother.
  • I Didn't Mean to Turn You On: Poor Danny was only trying to keep Katie from losing her temper until their date was officially over. She misinterprets it as him getting her to fall for him, and it works.
  • Informed Attractiveness: Played With. In the series, Danny isn't seen as remarkable looking by his coeds at Casper High but most of the girls he has gone out with, younger and older than him, consider him cute.
  • In-Series Nickname: Referencing the original dub of Sailor Moon, Makoto goes by the nickname of "Lita", which Danny uses.
  • Interspecies Romance: Most of the girls have no idea the boy they're dating is half-ghost. Then again, Danny himself finds out he's dating an alien, a ghost, a robot, and at least one half-alien.
  • Irony: Danny was reluctant to try out the dating service and was originally planning to quit at the beginning, only to continue and ends up having the most success with the girls he dates. On the other hand, Tucker was the one who wanted to try it out and convinced Danny to do it too, yet he ends up being the one with the worst dates.
  • Japanese Honorifics: Makoto/Lita is fond of referring to Danny as "Danny-kun".
  • Jerkass:
    • Dash Baxter remains the unpleasant bully he always is. First, he takes his frustrations with his summer vacation being ruined out on Danny, then the next day he's hitting on Danny's date while getting them kicked out of the hockey game. Later, he and his fellow jocks try to harass Danny during another date, and the day after, he and the A-listers pester him on yet another. Each girl Danny was with at the time ended up sharing his dislike of Dash as a result.
    • Unsurprisingly, Vicky, who only went out with Danny for money and left him with the expensive bill. She also terrorizes kids For the Evulz, especially Timmy.
  • Jerkass Has a Point:
    • Lisa Silver, Tucker's blind date during "Interlude", while really mean and rude about it, had a right to be displeased with him since his profile was misleading so she was expecting a different person. Even when she decided to give Tucker a chance, he ruined it with his lame come-on lines.
    • Danny, as hard as he was on Katie, has a point about how much damage she causes whenever she morphs and that being a teenager is not an excuse.
  • Jerkass Realization: Katie has one after Danny yells at her when she accidentally hurts her little brother during one of her rampages.
  • Karma Houdini: Katie never really faces any consequences for destroying the restaurant she and Danny (originally) were going to eat at or the emotional stress she put him through. The ending could be looked at as a case of The Bad Guy Wins.
  • Karma Houdini Warranty: Katie is finally called out on her actions by Danny at the end of the "A little break" arc and decides to go to Xavier's Institute.
  • Kick the Dog: As if stealing Timmy's prized Crimson Chin comic wasn't bad enough, Vicky adds injury to insult by giving him a wedgie.
  • KidAnova: Danny is still 14, but has actually managed to get the interest of even girls who are 16.
  • Kiss of Distraction:
    • Felicia kisses Danny twice as a distraction. Once to put a tracker on him, the other to remove it.
    • To keep Katie from losing her temper, Danny reluctantly kisses her...which ends up working a little TOO well.
  • Lampshade Hanging: Since he's gone out with girls who are far from normal as he is, Danny outright questions what kind of dating service he's agreed to.
  • Let Me Get This Straight...: Vlad's reaction when the ghost vultures explain what happened to his lab in the Sabrina chapter.
Vlad: Let me get this straight... You three expect me to believe that my sweet little Maddie, the one thing that I currently have that loves me unconditionally...destroyed my lab. ...BY CHASING A MOUSE?!
Ghost vulture leader: Actually...it was two mice...
  • A Lighter Shade of Black: The Black Cat may be a thief, but she does possess some values at her core.
  • Likes Older Women: Downplayed. Danny is still 14 but has gone out with girls one or two years older than him, and has expressed genuine interest in them.
  • Love at First Note: While on his blind date with Musa, Danny is in awe when he hears her sing and becomes further attracted to her.
  • Love at First Sight: While not outright stated, Danny has been shown to find many of the girls he has gone out with attractive and vice versa, and at the end of the date, there is usually some degree of attraction.
  • Love Before First Sight: If Danny chooses Kara, this becomes a case of this, since he already was a big fan of her Supergirl self due to her fame and heroic actions and was infatuated with her well before officially meeting her.
  • Love Epiphany: Danny experiences this in chapter 39 when he finally figures out who he wants as his perfect match.
  • Love Interest vs. Lust Interest: Dash Baxter and Danny Fenton show this dynamic in regards to Danny's dates; while Danny is an unpopular student who becomes popular with girls because he treats them like actual human beings, Dash is nothing but a misogynistic horndog who tries, and fails, to steal Danny's dates from him via his status as a high school quarterback and "Alpha Male" bullying attitude.
  • Love Redeems: In the ending where she is his chosen match, Felicia has long since given up her life of crime for Danny.
  • Loving a Shadow: Katie's interest in Danny formed due to a series of misunderstandings.
  • Luminescent Blush: A recurring thing for not just Danny, but some of the girls he dates. If there's even a hint of an interest, they blush.
  • The Maiden Name Debate: A bonus chapter reveals that Gwen Tennyson keeps her maiden name in the timeline where she marries Danny.
  • Maybe Ever After: In the ending where Danny doesn't get a girlfriend, he eventually forgives Katie and the implication is the two start dating.
  • The Missus and the Ex: During his date with Violet, Danny meets her ex-boyfriend, Tony Rydinger. Despite the awkwardness, Danny still treats Violet well enough that she soon opens up to him.
  • My God, What Have I Done?:
    • Danny is horrified when he realizes that by making sure nothing could possibly set Katie off and make her transform during their date, he acted like the perfect gentleman and made Katie fall in love with him.
    • When Danny points out all the damage Katie causes during her rampage and that she hurt her little brother, she is visibly horrified.
  • Never My Fault:
    • Tucker refuses to believe the reason he keeps getting bad dates is because of his profile, which is dishonest and exaggerates the kind of person he is.
    • Dash Baxter. Every time he tries to intrude on Danny's dates, something bad happens to him that he blames Danny for.
  • Nice Guy: Unless it's a girl who is genuinely bad (or terrified him like Katie), Danny is always nice and considerate to his dates. Girls like Kim, Kara, Violet, and Jen find this aspect of him attractive.
  • No-Sell: Katie's monstrous form is completely unfazed by anything Danny does to fight back. He is left with no choice but to cater to her whims in order to keep her from morphing.
  • Not Me This Time: During Danny's date with Kim, an explosion catches their attention. He figured one of his usual villains was causing trouble, only to see two people he doesn't recognize, Doctor Drakken and Shego. He quickly learns they're Kim's villains.
  • Obliviously Evil: While Katie transforms into a dangerous monster every time she gets angry, it seems that she is in the dark about it and the large about of damage that she causes. In fact, the Warner brothers even point out that even in her monster form, she doesn't really hurt people.
  • Obnoxious In-Laws: In the alternate ending where Danny chooses Phantasma, he would have this kind of relationship with Phanty's father, one of mutual and utter contempt.
  • Official Couple: Danny and Kara, with an epilogue showing their future together. Although there are alternate endings where Danny chose a different girl and still ended up happy, the author has expressed plans for a series of shorts starring Danny and Kara as a couple.
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted.
    • Danny has gone out with two girls named Gwen and two girls whose full name is Jennifer, though one goes by Jen and the other Jenny.
    • Violet tells Danny how she has a brother named Dash, though he's actually more mature than Danny's bully.
    • When Danny tells Jazz about Kitty, he has to explain she's not the same Kitty who once tried to steal Jazz's body.
    • Like Danny, Alex also has a friend named Samantha (Sam).
    • One of Danny's dates is a girl named Spectra Vondergeist. The school she attends also had to face Danny's foe Penelope Spectra at some point.
  • One True Love: Kara is this officially to Danny.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Seeing how heartbroken and remorseful Katie is after Danny called her out for hurting her brother, the Warners aren't laughing.
  • Parental Marriage Veto: In the alternate ending where Danny marries Phantasma, The Phantom was against their relationship and Danny and Phanty married against his wishes.
  • Parental Neglect: When seeing Buttons getting punished for getting covered in garbage, Danny and Jazz, who saw that he was trying to save Mindy, call his owners out for not properly watching over their daughter.
  • Parental Obliviousness: Mindy's parents freak out when they find out that their daughter climbed to the highest branch of a tree, fell off, and could have died if not for Buttons saving her, all while the parents were too busy with an important phone call to notice.
  • Pet the Dog:
    • Every once in a while, Tucker will more or less find a decent date with a girl.
    • Despite still being sore over the incidents with Katie Kaboom, upon hearing from her father that she is remorseful and even getting anger management, Danny recommends Katie to go to Xavier's Institute for Gifted Youngsters in hopes of helping her control her powers. Though this may have been for everyone else's sake from his POV.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Since Katie has no memory of her transformations, she took Danny’s actions as romantic gestures. Also, instead of trying to tell Katie that she makes him uncomfortable and why he just kept pampering her, Danny kissed her to calm her down and tried running away. He even rejected Jazz’s idea to talk to Katie, deeming her “crazy” and comparing her to Vlad, but if he had tried (especially since he met Kitty Pryde beforehand), it could have saved both him and Katie a lot of trouble.
  • Post-Kiss Catatonia: Happens to Danny and sometimes his date after they kiss.
    • Both times that Felicia kissed him left Danny blushing and in a dreamy state.
  • Precocious Crush: Inverted—quite a few of the girls that Danny meets through the dating service are older than he is (albeit only by a year or two), but he still manages to win them over.
  • Properly Paranoid: Dipper, while spying on Wendy's date with Danny, suspects Danny's true nature, and is even able to catch a glimpse of his ghost form.
  • Pushover Parents: Played for Drama as Danny notices to his shock, even Katie's parents are afraid of her.
  • Put on a Bus: Sam is said to be off on a trip with her parents in Europe, so she doesn't know about Danny's dates. Given her reaction to him dating Valerie in the show, this might be a good thing.
  • Rebus Bubble: When Danny's dating Penny Proud from The Proud Family, he meets her frenemy, LaCienega Boulevardez, who describes her date as a guy she "thought was a total hottie, only to discover he is just some super geek that was obsessed with tech and meat". Upon hearing that, Danny deduces Geek+Technology+Meat+Overconfident profile = Tucker.
  • Related in the Adaptation:
    • In the "Parallel Sailor Moon" short, Sailor Jupiter has a daughter named Mako, though the father is notably not present. If Danny chooses her, he becomes Mako's father.
    • In the MC2 comics, Felicia's daughter Felicity was Flash Thompson's daughter. In the ending with her, Danny is the father.
    • Draculaura (Monster High) and Sibella (Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School) are cousins. Draculara explains that her father is Vladimir Dracula and Sibella's is his brother, Bela Dracula.
  • Right for the Wrong Reasons: Dipper rightly suspects Danny of being supernatural, but he is only suspicious because he hopes to make Danny look bad in front of Wendy, whom Danny is taking on a blind date.
  • Running Gag: Tucker getting paired up with a lousy date due to refusing to change his profile page.
  • Screen Name: Part of the dating service policy is that all clients and even employees use screen names.
  • Secret-Keeper: Occasionally, Danny has discovered the double lives of his dates and promises to keep their secret safe.
  • Secret Secret-Keeper:
    • Even for the dates who DON'T realize that Danny knows, he still keeps quiet.
    • Felicia Hardy/Black Cat becomes this to Danny.
  • Shallow Cannot Comprehend True Love: Dash Baxter doesn't understand why the girls Danny dates, including the very attractive ones, aren't interested in him or ditching their date when he bullies Danny.
  • She Is Not My Girlfriend: At the carnival, Danny tries to explain that Katie is not his girlfriend when he's gifted a pass for all the rides but is interrupted by Katie herself.
  • Shipper on Deck: Danny will meet someone, usually connected to one of his dates, who thinks he and the girl in question are a perfect couple.
    • Salem the cat seems to approve of Danny and Sabrina.
    • After learning that Jen and Danny pranked Dash with garbage at the hockey game, Tucker seems to approve of her.
    • Suga Mama, as noted above, is very supportive of her granddaughter's relationship with Danny.
    • Comically, it seems that the Warner siblings ship Danny with Katie.
    • Danny and Kim in the alternate ending where they hook up have both of their families supportive of them.
    • During the "Snippets", Bob and Helen are accepting of Violet and Danny being a couple after both teens reveal their powers to each other since it means she's dating a fellow superhero.
    • Martin Mystery in the "Snippets" is this for Diana and Danny. Diana was shocked to learn Danny wasn't exactly a normal person, but Martin, who is also a Danny Phantom fan, reminded her that Danny is still a good guy who uses his powers to help people.
  • Ship Sinking: Not all of Danny's dates are winners, and only a few he has no desire to even be friends with.
    • Cree Lincoln seemed nice, but her beating up children caused Danny to reject her immediately.
    • Vicky, being a greedy psychopath who hurts kids for fun, causes Danny to give her the lowest score possible.
    • Katie Kaboom is madly in love with him, but her monstrous transformations when angry and incredibly clingy interest in him cause Danny to be genuinely terrified of her.
  • Shipping Torpedo:
    • Jack has a strong disapproval of Cree since Danny told him that she is a Child Hater.
    • Kevin is very confrontational with Danny, much to Gwen's irritation.
    • Sheldon tries to interrupt Danny's date with Jenny since he only told her about the dating website as a means of rigging it to date her.
    • Donatello's extremely jealous of Danny for dating April.
  • Ship Tease: The dates who enjoy their time with Danny the most show strong hints of him being the girl he chooses.
  • Shrinking Violet:
    • Danny notices on his date that Violet is this. Fortunately, he's able to get her to open up.
    • Ginger Foutley has shades of this too, due to still being sore over her breakup with Darren.
  • Significant Green-Eyed Redhead: Kim Possible, Gwen Tennyson, and Starfire are this, and all are heroines.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: With the obvious exceptions being Cree and Vicky, all of the girls have developed an interest in Danny for being a nice person. The following are major examples:
    • Kim Possible, his first date, takes a quick liking to Danny for his being understanding of her teen hero duties and not at all being turned off by her fighting prowess.
    • Gwen Tennyson only took blind dating for her friend. She found Danny to be a nice guy and was impressed to learn he's a superhero as well.
    • Emma only agreed to the dating service to be paired with her crush. However, she finds that Danny is understanding of her issues and convinces her that she's a great girl whom her crush doesn't deserve if he can't see that. She thinks that if Danny weren't younger, she might have chosen him right away.
    • Sabrina develops an interest in Danny for not being afraid of her being a witch and for being funny.
    • Kara becomes interested in Danny for being someone who shares a love of saving people and knowing the struggles of a secret identity. She's the first to kiss him on the lips as a result.
    • Violet starts out quiet and reserved due to her recent break-up with Tony. However, she opens up to Danny for not giving her trouble over her ex-boyfriend and taking the time to get to know her and make her laugh.
    • Jen was originally disinterested in Danny for being someone younger and not into sports. However, he doesn't rat her out when they prank Dash. She gets to know him afterwards, finding him nice and fun to be with. She kisses him on both cheeks as a result and she asked Caitlyn, another 6teen character, for advice over the phone about dating younger men.
    • Wendy shows a liking to how Danny isn't put off by her relaxed attitude or eating habits. She gives him her number as a result.
    • Debbie Thornberry was at first very confrontational since she was forced into blind dating by her parents. However, Danny was open with her and they bonded over embarrassing parents and having normal lives.
    • Kitty Pryde is enamored with how Danny isn't at all put off by her being a mutant. She kisses him repeatedly as a result.
    • Makoto/Lita is surprised that Danny isn't terrified of her stature or her fighting skills. He even compliments her and believes it is wrong for people to think badly of her. She falls for him after their date ends.
    • Katie mistakes Danny's attempts to keep her from getting angry as him being a gentleman and falls for him. During the "A Little Break" arc, Danny tries to explain to Katie that most girls at his school don't notice him and asks why she likes him so much. Katie, however, quickly tells him that those girls are dumb, and that he is a nice, sweet guy and that is why she likes him so much. Danny is so shocked by this answer that he momentarily loses his fear of Katie and almost sees her as a normal girl... only to revert back when she tries to kiss him again.
    • Penny Proud is surprised that Danny took the full blame from her father by claiming he was harassing her to get her out of trouble. This impressed not only Penny, but also Suga Mama.
    • Musa, being used to dating bad boys, quickly takes an interest in Danny for being the polar opposite.
    • Felicia Hardy is impressed at how mature Danny is despite being younger than her. She takes a quick liking to him and decides he's earned her respect, enough to remove the tracking device she planted on him.
    • Cleo is flattered Danny doesn't expose her secret and accepts her being a mermaid.
    • Starfire is the only girl to know of Danny's powers before officially meeting him after seeing his transformation. She doesn't have issue with it, her only interest is the fact that Danny is sympathetic to her backstory and they spend a good deal of their time saving lives.
  • Smitten Teenage Girl: At the end of the date, some of the girls that Danny has gone out with become interested in him, becoming these.
    • Katie Kaboom is a Deconstruction of one since she acts sweet and smitten around Danny only when she is in her normal, non-monstrous form.
  • Stalker with a Crush:
    • Meg towards Tucker.
    • Katie Kaboom becomes this towards Danny, chasing him around throughout the break arc.
  • Stating the Simple Solution: Danny tells Tuck to change his profile to get better dates but he refuses to listen at first.
  • Statuesque Stunner: Makoto/Lita is stated to be taller than Danny, though it doesn't diminish his interest in her.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Danny's kids with his match will show heavy similarities to their parents.
    • In his nightmare of marrying Katie, their daughters all look like smaller versions of their mother.
    • The daughter he could have with Kim, named Annie, resembles her mother but with her father's blue eyes. Although they turn green when her powers activate, unintentionally making her more of a mini-version of Kim.
  • Superpowered Date: The few times Danny has dated a superpowered girl and they simultaneously discover each other's identities, they decide to use their powers to have fun during the rest of their date.
  • Sympathy for the Devil: Tucker and Jazz have some degree of sympathy for Katie, even though they feel Danny was in the right with what he said.
  • Taking the Bullet: Non-fatal example. Danny takes a kryptonite missile that Skulker fired at Kara, which doesn't hurt him, since he is not from Krypton.
  • A Taste of Their Own Medicine: As far as Cleo is concerned, spying on Spectra Vondergeist's date is giving her "a taste of her own medicine".
  • Tempting Fate: When Danny says his date with Vicky couldn't be worse, a waiter shows up with the bill for the food and the damages.
  • That Came Out Wrong: Danny explains after Felicia kissed him that he wants more than just a pretty face who would do more than just kiss him. Felicia thinks he means something else and gives him a dirty look. He clarifies he meant someone he could get along with.
  • The "I Love You" Stigma: After Danny reluctantly kisses Katie to keep her from losing her temper and going on a rampage, Katie says she loves him and forcefully kisses him back for THREE MINUTES! It's no wonder Danny fainted after all of that.
  • The Tease: Two Words: Felicia Hardy. Who is not shy about heavily flirting with Danny.
  • There Are No Coincidences: When Danny asks how Barbara Gordon figured out his secret, she points out, among other things, that both Fenton and Phantom are from Amity Park and both of them showing up in her hometown around the same time was too big of a coincidence.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone:
    • After so many bad dates, Tucker decides to actually create an honest dating profile, and has a nice date with Velma Dinkley.
    • Buttons the dog finally gets rewarded for his heroism when Danny, Jazz, and Tucker tell Mindy's parents that they saw Buttons rescue Mindy.
    • Also the Mime, normally a Butt-Monkey who always gets hurt whenever he appears, gets saved by Danny from a falling anvil.
  • To Win Without Fighting: How Danny beat Katie, not by using his powers, but by calling her out on the damage she caused, and telling her he has no interest in her.
  • Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: Some of Danny's dates are taller than him, the most obvious being Makoto/Lita Kino, though it does nothing to diminish his interest in them.
  • Trauma Conga Line: Vicky gets this at the hands of Danny. Using his invisibility, he throws a sticky bun at Vicky's head and causes her to trip over a can, which causes a bucket of paint to fall on her head, after which she falls into a pile of garbage. She throws the can of paint at a beehive, causing the bees to sting and chase after her due to being attracted to the garbage and sticky bun stuck on her body.
  • Understanding Boyfriend: Blind dates or not, Danny is very open-minded towards (most) of the girls he has gone out with. You'd have to be in order to be okay with dating a spy, a robot, a ghost, a mutant, an alien, etc.
  • Uneven Hybrid: Regardless of the real or alternate endings, Danny's kids will have uneven genetics. Their father is half-human and half-ghost. His chosen girl, Kara, is a Kryptonian. Marrying a ghost like Phantasma would make his child 1/4th human, marrying a human like Kim makes would make them 1/4th ghost.
  • Unusually Uninteresting Sight: Danny notices that when he dated Jenny (a robot) and Starfire (an alien), nobody really paid that much attention to them.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Tucker's insistence in joining the dating website may have led Danny to meeting genuine nice girls who fall for him, but it also led him to meeting Katie Kaboom, who became a terrifying Stalker with a Crush.
  • Villainesses Want Heroes: Played With and later averted with Danny's worse dates.
    • Cree Lincoln seemed to like Danny at first, only to lose interest after he both dumps her and she discovers that he cares about kids.
    • Vicky never expressed any genuine interest in Danny, she was just looking for a Meal Ticket and didn't hesitate to leave him when she found out that he has no money.
    • Averted with Katie Kaboom who seems to be unaware of the fact that she transforms into a monster, or at the very least, that she is doing anything wrong, but it's clear she has a thing for Danny.
    • Played straight with Black Cat, who takes a liking to Danny despite being two years older than him.
  • Wedgie: Danny sees Vicky giving Timmy one.
  • What Measure Is a Non-Human?: Played With. Danny immediately regrets offending Jenny after he accidentally makes an insensitive comment about her being a robot and doesn't hesitate to apologize to her once it sinks in that she has feelings.
  • Will They or Won't They?: Most girls Danny shows a mutual interest in make it ambiguous which one he chooses.
  • World of Badass: Danny meets many, many superheroines.
  • Yandere:
    • A non-violent example is Meg Griffin towards whomever she dates, which includes Tucker. She stoops to stalking him and hacking into the dating website so he can't reject her.
    • Another example is Katie towards Danny, who worries that she is one of these.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are:
    • A sure sign that the girls grow to like Danny is when he says or does something to help convince them of their own self-worth should they be upset over something.
    • Despite being afraid of her, Danny does appreciate Katie telling him that the girls from his school are morons for rejecting him since he's such a great person.

TMDDF: The Many Kids of Danny Fenton
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: In Parallel Sailor Moon, the daughters of Makoto and Ami were both rather bratty and openly disrespectful. Here, likely due to who their fathers are, Mako Fenton and Amy "Ami Jr." Tennyson are both nice and respectful.
  • All for Nothing: The Bebes' plan to clone bodies based on Annie's DNA ultimately backfired. Due to their perception of perfection, they chose to only clone Annie's DNA in her ghost form. However, due to instability in cloning said DNA, the first clone body soon dissolves. All four Bebes are destroyed before they could reactivate their fellow robots, all because they made a rash decision about how Annie's DNA would be used.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: When Selene accuses Wyatt and Bram of having smaller attention spans than goldfish, Bram denies it and then asks Wyatt if goldfish have small attention spans, which Wyatt doesn't know.
  • Berserk Button: Amy Tennyson seems to hate it when people acknowledge she has poor penmanship.
  • Dead Guy Junior: Some of the kids Danny has are named after people who have long since passed away by the time they were born.
    • Alura "Ally" Fenton is named after her maternal grandmother (Kara's biological mother), Alura.
    • Matlin Fenton is named after her maternal grandmother, who died when Musa was a little kid.
    • Hiroshi and Emiko Fenton, Danny's fraternal twins with Makoto Kino (aka, Sailor Jupiter), are named after Makoto's deceased parents.
  • Does She Have A Sister: In Chapter 15, upon learning Andrea already has a boyfriend, Bram asks if she has a sister.
  • Evil Is Petty: Kim believes the Bebes didn't just pick Annie since it would grant them a body with her skills and Danny's powers, but to spite her.
  • Honorary Uncle: Danny and Makoto are Amy's godparents, though she calls them Uncle and Aunt. Ben and Ami are Mako's and she likely feels the same way. Though there's no blood relation, both the Fentons and Tennysons regard each other as family.
  • In Spite of a Nail: Regardless of who Danny ends up with, his kids become friends with the kids of his two best friends.
  • It Runs in the Family: Amy is shown to have an extreme love of Mr. Smoothy's, something she got from her father (Ben has a well-known love for it) and Ami (who became as much a loyal customer as Ben when she moved to America). She also shares their distaste for Max's cooking.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Chapter 19 features Dash working for one of the nerds he used to humiliate back when they were high schoolers, just like he always said he would.
  • Legacy Character: Both Makoto and Ami's eldest daughters adopt hero outfits that resemble their Sailor Guardian forms, albeit with the abilities their fathers have combined with their Sailor powers, making them a new generation of Sailor Guardians. Mako can use Danny Phantom's ghostly energy and Sailor Jupiter's electrical attacks, while Amy can use an Omnitrix like Ben 10 that can grant her alien powers akin to Ultimate Ben from Ultimate Alien, and can use Sailor Mercury's ice powers (though not when she uses a power that clashes with it, such as heat blasts).
  • Lethal Chef: Max Tennyson is still cooking the same foods even as his grandchildren have children of their own. None of them enjoy it.
  • Like Parent, Like Child:
    • Most if not all of Danny's children emulate their parents in one way or another, whether it be looks, likes and dislikes, fighting skill, and general appearance.
    • Ben Tennyson's daughter Amy is as much of a braggart as he is. She also shares his love for Mr. Smoothy.
  • Like Parent, Unlike Child:
    • Zigzagged with Tucker and Sam's kids.
      • Tucker Jr., or TJ or Tuck depending on the timeline, is just as smart and tech-savvy as his dad—however, he's not your typical school nerd and is also passionate about sports.
      • CJ, Sam's son, is an animal lover and seems to be into the goth scene like her—however, CJ's a lot friendlier than his mom was as a teenager and has a rather flirtatious nature. Also, unlike Sam (who's a vegan/vegetarian), CJ has eaten both meat and dairy (albeit behind his parents' backs).
    • Ami Mizuno, as a teenager, was a shy and reserved Nice Girl. Amy Tennyson, her daughter via Ben Tennyson, is a more extroverted and open Nice Girl.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • Kara mentions Parker Industries.
    • Aisha's daughter is named Layla. Layla is what Aisha is called in some dubs.
  • Obnoxious In-Laws:
    • In the timeline where Danny chooses Phantasma from Ghoul School, the Phantom becomes this towards Danny—however, Danny gets along just fine with Phanty's mom (who's established as being divorced from Phanty's dad).
    • In the timeline where Danny chooses Sailor Jupiter, Ben Tennyson ends up with Sailor Mercury (aka, Ami Mizuno). Ami's mother has apparently made it clear that she won't hesitate to harm Ben if he's unfaithful to her daughter.
  • Puppy-Dog Pout: In the timeline with Kim, by the time Danny's pushing 40, all four of their kids (Annie, Danny Jr., Manny and Frannie) have mastered the "puppy dog pout" Kim used. Kim has developed a "mom look" to counter it, something Danny is lacking. He's more resistant to it if it were one of his kids, but when all of his kids and Kim use it against him, he's powerless.
  • Reformed, but Not Tamed: Just because Black Cat is on the side of angels now, doesn't mean she stops acting devilish when she feels like it.
  • Ridiculously Successful Future Self: Kara's mention of Parker Industries opening a new branch implies that Peter Parker became this.
  • So Proud of You: Danny is nothing but proud of Annie for not only defeating Technus but holding her own against the Bebes.
  • Supreme Chef: Makoto's recipes are so good that not even this world's version of a certain foul-mouthed chef can find anything wrong with them.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: While they're not dating yet, Mako manages to knock Skulker's mechanical head off for trying to kill Fuyuki after he tries to help her.
  • White Sheep: Thanks to her grandparents' influence, Paola Baxter is this to her younger brother, Dash Junior, and their parents, Dash Senior and Paulina. Unlike them, Paola's a genuinely kind and friendly person who's not antagonistic towards Danny and his family—in fact, in the timeline where Danny chooses Sailor Jupiter, Paola is shown to be close friends with Mako Fenton (despite their parents' issues with each other).

    TMDDF: Danny and Kara
  • Act of True Love: Danny assures Kara that if Vlad reveals her secret, then he will reveal Vlad's. Kara points out that Vlad would just reveal Danny's secret, but he doesn't care as long as he keeps Kara safe.
  • Actor Allusion:
  • Amazon Chaser: Deadpool has the hots for Wonder Woman despite, or because of, the fact that she can throw him through a building.
  • Anguished Declaration of Love: Sam, after failing to break Danny and Kara up and her stalking being brought to light, breaks down and finally confesses her feelings for Danny. Danny rejects her because he has since lost his feelings for Sam and fallen in love with Kara. Not only that, he ends his friendship with Sam because she broke his trust.
  • Anyone Remember Pogs?: Deadpool acknowledges pogs, which were a fad in America during the '90s before becoming largely forgotten, as an insult to the robot he fights with at the stadium.
  • Arbitrary Skepticism:
    • In spite of all evidence, Velma "tries to be a skeptic when it comes to ghosts and aliens". Danny even asks if "Superman is just a guy with a wire for her".
    • Upon seeing Mystery Incorporated in Chapter 28, a man in Elmerton finds it hard to believe a dog can talk until one of his friends points out their town has "a girl flying around in armor" and Amity Park has "a ghost superhero who fights other ghosts".
  • Badass Normal: Kim Possible doesn't have superpowers but is enough of a badass for the Justice League to consider making her a member.
  • Bait-and-Switch: While at first it seems Sam had joined forces with Vlad to get rid of Kara, it's revealed that Spectra had been overshadowing Sam, who had refused to stoop to Vlad's level.
  • Bait-and-Switch Comment: Chapter 29 features the bouncer at Michelle's party commenting that Dash is "on the list, alright". Dash smiles and is about to enter when the bouncer mentions it's "the 'Do not allow in' list".
  • Battle Couple: Danny and Kara have not only become an item but partners in crime fighting as well whenever she is in town.
  • Berserk Button: To Danny's surprise, Deadpool seems to be one of the few non-villainous characters who can piss Kara off.
  • Betty and Veronica: Sam is the Betty to Kara's Veronica for Danny's Archie.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Kara is a very kind person but has her limits, especially when someone tries to hurt or disrespect her or her loved ones. For example, she went through with her threat to tell Danny about Sam's stalking, just as Kara warned she would if she caught Sam doing it again.
  • Beyond the Impossible: Deadpool somehow breaks the fourth wall in a flashback, that wasn't even his own, in a scene he wasn't even involved in. Even the author questions how this is possible.
  • Bullying a Dragon: Dash and Paulina don't seem to comprehend that Kara could destroy them if they crossed her too much.
  • Continuity Nod: Michelle is still upset at Dash for not getting her tickets to a basketball game. It's a nod to a Snippet where he tried to buy tickets to a game they would watch together but it was sold out. In a timeline where Danny chooses Jen, they got tickets and Dash tried (and failed) to steal them.
  • Celebrity Is Overrated: Danny becomes annoyed with his new popularity. He does like that his peers respect him and take his side over Dash and the A-Listers, but dislikes that people he does not know are asking for his advice on dating, the numbers of his previous dates, and acting like they're his friends. Danny would much rather hang out with his real friends and girlfriend and deal with the situation with Vlad.
  • Character Development:
    • After her stalking and digging into Kara's life, Sam decides not to pressure Danny and Tucker into talking about the one girl who seemed to terrify Danny.
    • Danny has long since stopped caring for popularity. He doesn't let people coming to him for advice on women or other girls showing interest in him affect him, showing loyalty and concern for the girl he loves over all else.
  • Chick Magnet: Danny did get 28 girls, including Kara, wanting him as their match.
  • Clark Kenting: Even after meeting "Clark" and "Superman", Danny doesn't figure out they're the same until he sees Superman putting on Clark's glasses.
  • Clueless Chick-Magnet: Again, Danny. Even as he's with Kara, he is still oblivious to Sam's obvious jealousy over their relationship.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl:
    • Sam, as usual, sees any other girl who likes Danny as a threat and ignores all evidence to the contrary.
    • Kara thankfully averts this for the most part, feeling secure in her relationship with Danny. She even took it fairly well after meeting Kitty Pryde and finding out that she and Danny kissed, accepting that it was BEFORE they started dating and being cool with it. However, Kara did "playfully" threaten to throw Danny into a black hole if she finds out he kissed someone else WHILE they are dating.
  • Crazy Enough to Work: When Danny advises Carl to "keep it real" when asking a girl out, Carl considers this "crazy enough to work".
  • Delayed Reaction: In Chapter 22, Supergirl asks Vlad what he promised his "little minion" in exchange for controlling Sam's body. Vlad is in the middle of explaining when it suddenly clicks that Supergirl knows Sam was overshadowed. She explains that Danny already told her about ghosts having that power.
  • Department of Redundancy Department: Chapter 17 has a mention of a "small robotic bot". This was more than likely a typo.
  • Easily Forgiven: After Sam genuinely apologizes to both Danny and Kara, they forgive her, no problem. Danny admits that he never hated Sam and was afraid he lost his best friend forever. Kara forgives her because she saw that Sam regretted her actions and also doesn't like holding grudges. It's played more realistically though, as Sam is aware that she still has to earn back their trust.
  • Enraged by Idiocy: Luthor has admitted to finding Deadpool an idiot despite his danger levels. Vlad also finds Deadpool and his antics obnoxious enough to despise him and have the robot crush him.
Vlad: Zero to wanting him dead in a moment. My goodness, and I thought Jack Fenton had talent...
  • Everyone Has Standards: Dash went out with Bonnie, Mandy, LaCienaga, Tricia, and Mitzi, each of whom is a shallow Alpha Bitch in their respective show but apparently even they found Dash to be unbearable.
  • Evil Counterpart: Vlad Masters to Sam Manson. Both of them were jealous when their love interests, Maddie and Danny respectively, found another significant other, have a problem taking responsibility for their actions, and feel entitled to and possessive of the objects of their desires. However, the difference is that Sam genuinely loves Danny and cares about his feelings, while Vlad's love for Maddie is more about loving the idea of ''having'' her and grows to an unhealthy obsession. Also, when Sam damaged her friendship with Danny because she spied on his date with Kara, she ultimately felt guilty, while when Vlad damaged his relationship with Maddie because he confessed his love to her, he could not understand why she was disgusted with him thinking that she should just leave Jack for him and how he really feels about Jack. Sam, even at her worst, refuses to hurt Kara to get Danny and was disgusted when Vlad actually offered her a deal to get rid of Kara, whereas Vlad always tries to kill Jack throughout the series so he can have Maddie for himself. Finally, Sam was able to accept Danny's relationship with Kara, repair her friendship with him (and even start to form one with Kara), become happy for the couple, and move on. Vlad never accepts Maddie's love for Jack and becomes a supervillain, permanently destroying his former friendship with them.
  • Evil Is Petty: Along with his own agenda, Vlad's inter-state athletic competition for schools was to bring several girls Danny dated together with him and Kara to create awkwardness. It causes Vlad to be deemed pettier than Lex Luthor, whose pettiness includes trying to run the Legion of Doom to one-up Superman.
  • Flashback: Kara has a flashback of her first date with Danny in chapter 8.
  • Forgiven, but Not Forgotten: Jazz warns Sam that if she ever hurts Danny or Kara again, not even Superman could keep her away.
  • Freudian Excuse: Kara's cheerful demeanor stems from losing her family and world the night she and her parents had an argument. Her devotion to Danny and being a superhero are a result of her not wanting to lose her new home or anyone else she comes to love.
  • Forgiveness: After Sam and Kara are rescued and defeat Vlad, Sam genuinely apologizes to Danny and admits it was her fault. To her shock, Danny hugs her and quickly forgives her. When Sam asks how he can forgive her so easily, Danny explains that he never hated her, he was just afraid he lost one of his best friends forever. Kara also forgives Sam when the latter apologizes to her, much to Sam's surprise and gratitude.
  • The Glasses Gotta Go: Dash tells Kara she might be up to his standards if she loses her glasses.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Kara is blonde as well as a superhero and all-around Nice Girl.
  • Hate at First Sight: All of Danny's past dates and his girlfriend show an intense dislike of Felicia once she introduces herself by flirting with Danny.
  • Hates My Secret Identity: Sam admires Supergirl as "a strong, female figure" in spite of "her brightly primary colors" but hates Kara.
  • Hero of Another Story:
    • In Chapter 28, Tucker meets Mystery Incorporated right after they unmasked Old Man Jenkins again.
    • In Chapter 32, it's said Batman can't help the main characters because he's "handling some terrorist group in South America".
  • Hidden Depths: As Sam discovers, Kara may be a loving and caring person, but she's very sad and broken on the inside over losing her parents and homeworld in one night and being stuck as a 13-year-old for 20 years.
  • Homeschooled Kids: Danny thinks Velma and her friends "must be homeschooled" if they have time to travel a lot.
  • Insistent Terminology: Jazz reacts to Superman calling her, Tucker, and Sam "civilians" by saying they're "sidekicks". Sam counters by saying they're "teammates".
  • Internal Reveal:
    • In Chapter 13, Clark and his parents learn Danny Fenton is Danny Phantom.
    • In Chapter 14, Sam, Tucker and Jazz learn Kara is Supergirl.
    • In chapter 16, Superman reveals his identity to Danny.
  • Irony:
    • When Danny is surprised at seeing Kim, she asks if he was expecting Supergirl. Kara is next to him.
    • Kim thinking Kara is "less of a fighter" and briefly wondering if that's why Danny chose Kara over her, not knowing that Kara is Supergirl and Danny knew that when he made his choice.
  • It's All About Me: Deadpool is clearly more concerned with the 2-year gap between chapters interfering with his own schedule than the author's other priorities.
Deadpool: Even so, it's time you remember to take my feelings into consideration, you keyboard crunching manchildren. My back hurts from carrying all of you...
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy:
    • Unlike Sam, Valerie accepts Danny's relationship with Kara since the latter is a genuine Nice Girl.
    • Sam, after apologizing to both Danny and Kara and being forgiven by them, finally accepts that she and Danny will never be together and hopes he and Kara will be happy together.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: While Sam is Driven by Envy in regards to Kara, she does make a fair point that something is up when she finds evidence of Kara having superpowers. Tucker actually agrees with her on this and even Danny, after thinking back on his dating history prior to the service, concedes that Sam's concerns aren't wholly unfounded.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: Subverted with Star in Chapter 29. Her real reason for stopping her antagonism of Danny and his friends is that, unlike Dash, she doesn't believe Danny deserves payback for being invited to a popular senior student's party when A-listers weren't, but to save face among her fellow A-listers, she claims she's afraid of angering Danny's girlfriend after how Kara manhandled Dash on a past occasion. Played With for Kwan, whose fear of having his arms broken by Kara is his genuine reason to give up, though he also doesn't want to ambush Danny for no reason.
  • Let Me Get This Straight...: After Clark and Kara spent 20 minutes telling Danny the former's story, Danny starts his reply with "So, let me see that I have the whole story straight...".
  • Let Us Never Speak of This Again: Danny, Tucker, and likely Jazz have chosen not to mention Katie ever again.
  • Lucky Seven: Danny and Kara are each other's seventh date and they chose each other.
  • Make It Look Like an Accident: Once a new inter-school competition is announced, Dash is looking forward to a chance to "wail on some out-of-town geeks and make it look like accidents".
  • Meet the In-Laws:
    • Chapter 8 has Kara meeting Jack and Maddie, appropriately titled "Kara meets the Fentons".
    • Chapter 10 has Danny going to Metropolis to meet the Kents, appropriately titled "Ghost Boy Meets The Man Of Steel Part 1".
  • My Friends... and Zoidberg: Kara's birthday gift for Danny is something he'd love more than anyone else she knows. In fairness, she admits that most of her friends "are fellow superheroes and Jimmy Olsen".
  • Mythology Gag:
    • Kara describes herself as "just your friendly neighborhood Supergirl", referencing one of the franchises featured in the original fic.
    • Chapter 17 mentions a science expo hosted by Kim Possible's dad. This is a reference to After Many Dates: Danny and Kim.
    • Dash accuses Tucker of hacking the dating service. By Flower princess11's own admission, the idea was taken from 61394's spin-off Danny and Kitty.
  • Never My Fault:
    • Dash didn't take into account that all of his dates disliked him, instead thinking the website was for stupid, desperate losers.
    • Subverted when Sam attempts to pass off blame for her broken friendship with Danny onto Kara, on the grounds of not telling them that she's Supergirl. However, Sam's subconscious reminds her that she tried to pick a fight with Kara at every opportunity and gave her no reason to trust her. She then tries to blame Tucker for getting Danny into the dating service, only for her to be reminded that he didn't make Danny fall in love and Danny made that choice on his own. Sam finally accepts that it was her own fault for betraying Danny's trust.
    • Rather than accepting it was his own fault Michelle wouldn't invite him to a party, Dash assumes Danny must've told her not to invite him.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: In chapter 20, when Spectra appears in Sam's room, Sam tries to get a wrist ray or Fenton thermos but remembers that Jazz confiscated all her weapons, allowing Spectra to capture her. Later, it was revealed that Jazz took Sam's weapons on behalf of Danny because he didn't trust her anymore. Danny is horrified to learn that his actions led Sam to be overshadowed by Spectra, but she forgives him and admits that he had good reason for his decision.
  • No Guy Wants an Amazon: Discussed when Kim briefly wonders if Danny chose Kara over her because Kara is "less of a fighter".
  • Not Cheating Unless You Get Caught: Mr. Lancer usually overlooks Dash's bullying because he is a football star but not when a victim threatens to have it published at the Daily Planet.
  • Open-Minded Parent: The Kents aren't that shocked when they learn how "special" Kara's boyfriend is.
  • Open Mouth, Insert Foot: While Jonesy is flirting with Felicia, he brags about how his team will defeat Horizon High and insults that school's students, only to learn she attends that school.
  • Rejected Apology: Downplayed. Katie gives Danny a long overdue apology for what happened the last time they met. Since he's too uncomfortable around her, he neither accepts nor outright rejects it.
  • The Reveal: A good number of Casper High's football victories only happened because "half the teams in the county wouldn't come to Amity Park because of the ghost attacks".
  • Right for the Wrong Reasons: Sam is right about Kara hiding something but her reason for believing this is only because she wants to find something that'll break Danny and Kara up.
  • Robotic Psychopath: Brainiac is just as evil here as he is in canon.
  • Screw the Money, I Have Rules!: Sam is going so far to spy on Kara that Tucker eventually decides he'll no longer take bribes to cover for her if Danny starts asking questions.
  • Sheep in Sheep's Clothing: Sam is unable to accept that Kara is as nice as she presents herself as.
  • Shipper on Deck:
    • Danny's family quickly becomes taken with Kara, with Jack already wanting his son to marry her.
    • Superman ends up having a good opinion of Danny after he goes to save Kara from Brainiac.
    • While calling Danny and Kara a cute couple, Deadpool whispers he likes Danny with Kim more.
  • Skewed Priorities:
    • Dash and Paulina are far more concerned for their "natural order" than the concept of breaking and entering or that Kara could manhandle them with ease.
    • Even when he and the other civilians are fleeing from the giant robot, Dash's main concern is his vendetta on Danny and Kara. Even Paulina calls him out on it.
  • Sympathy for the Devil: While Sam had brought it on herself, even Kara couldn't help but feel some sympathy for her after seeing how heartbroken she was when Danny turned her down, despite Sam's hostility and blatant violation of Kara's privacy.
  • Suspiciously Clean Criminal Record: While trying to find some dirt on Kara, all that Sam finds is that, as Kara already told, she grew up in Kansas and lives in Metropolis. The lack of noteworthy things like juvenile records or remarkable accomplishments is something Sam holds as a reason to believe Kara has "a skeleton or two" in her closet.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: Dash quit the dating program "not because Bonnie, Mandy, LaCienga, Mitzi and Tricia all told [him] to take a hike". He quit because "it was just a stupid waste of time meant for stupid, desperate losers".
  • Sweet Tooth: Kara seems to love ice cream.
  • Take That!: Deadpool claims nobody cared enough about the 2017 version of Spider-Man even in 2017.
  • Tender Tears: Kara is able to deliver her backstory even with tears running down her face.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Even though Kara is clearly physically stronger, not to mention they'd be in a place where there are no adults to witness it, Dash and Paulina still try to pick a fight with her.
  • Unlucky Childhood Friend: Sam officially becomes this after she confesses her feelings to Danny, who turns her down for Kara.
  • Unusually Uninteresting Sight: Scooby-Doo, a talking dog, doesn't seem that baffling to the people of Elmerton.
  • Villain Team-Up: Vlad Masters and Lex Luthor are working together.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: While Danny is strong in his own right, Kara becomes this towards him after he chooses her as his perfect match.
  • We Used to Be Friends: Because she spied on Kara and was planning to reveal her powers before finding out she's Supergirl, Danny becomes so angry at Sam that he ends their friendship. Although things eventually get better with Danny, Jazz is still unwilling to forgive Sam for the trouble she caused him and Kara.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Danny didn't respond well when he found out that Sam had spied on his dates and tried to pick a fight with Kara.
  • Why Can't I Hate You?: In Chapter 12, Jimmy Olsen wanted Danny to be a jerk so he'd have an excuse to hate him.
  • Yandere: Sam is a less violent version of the trope, as she becomes too eager to find anything that could ruin Danny and Kara's relationship.
  • You Could Have Used Your Powers for Good!: Lex Luthor is such a gifted individual but uses his gifts for evil. That makes him one of the few people Superman actually hates.
  • You Meddling Kids: Chapter 28 features Old Man Jenkins giving the usual rant after being unmasked by the Trope Namers.

TMDDF: After Many Dates: Danny and Kim
  • The Ace: Like in canon, Kim is a straight-A student with a list of impressive abilities, including martial arts. Her academic prowess is a great help to Danny, whom she sometimes helps with his homework.
  • Adaptational Jerkass: In the original version of chapter 3, Danny's parents and sister all say how much they like Kim and favor her over Sam. While their reasons are understandable, they were very supportive of Sam and her interest in Danny in the show, making their attitude in the story come off as rather out-of-character. Fortunately, the author edited the chapter, downplaying this feeling.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Chapter 35 features the Masters' Blasters being worse than their canon counterparts, who at least tried to capture Vlad after he exposed himself as a half-ghost. In this fic, they team up with him to get payback against those they blame for them losing their job.
  • Adaptation Deviation: By being romantically involved with Kim Possible, Danny's presence causes the events of "Fashion Victim" to play out a bit differently.
  • Adapted Out: Because Danny and Kim are a couple long before her Junior prom, Eric is absent in this story. Drakken admits he had to abandon this part of his plan, which meant his plot from So The Drama was stopped before it could properly begin.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Kim decides to nickname Danny "Spaceman" because of his love for all things space. Danny nicknames her "Blue Fox", as it is her Animalogy sign.
  • Air-Vent Passageway: Danny and Kim snark on their first mission together that buildings seem to have these built in mind for people, including teenagers, to break in.
  • All for Nothing:
    • Danny's comments while playing Sugar Rush reveal that Wreck-It Ralph and its sequel exist in this world and the ending of the latter was undone. Vanellope's desire to have a new life in Slaughter Race fell apart due to the programmers thinking she was added by a hacker and removing her, and the owners of her IP sued the company due to accusations they added her on purpose. She was apparently forced to go back to Litwak's after the Slaughter Race servers had to be shut down, where the racers began ostracizing her all over again for abandoning her game.
    • Defied in A Complete Waste of Time, which was a semi-retelling of "Fashion Victim'" from Kim Possible. Because he found the Fashion Underground a waste of time, the Fashionistas pathetic, and Camille Leon annoying, Danny did not take kindly to Coco Banana disregarding the stolen plans for new ones and threatened to haunt the man into agreeing to use them.
    • The secret war between kids with teens and adults in Codename: Kids Next Door turns out to have been nothing but a joke played by Bat-Mite and Mr. Mxyzptlk because they were bored. All sides were devastated to discover that the conflict was all for naught, with some refusing to believe it. Cree herself was sad when she realized that she hated kids for nothing.
  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Both Danny and Kim's parents tend to cause humiliation for their kids when it comes to their romance. Such as when James caught Danny and Kim making out and, after his wife offers Danny to stay for dinner, asks him to keep his daughter's tongue out of his mouth.
  • Arbitrary Skepticism:
    • In Chapter 35, the hero team includes a ghost kid who's making their ship invisible and an alien, yet, to Fu Dog's surprise, they find it hard to believe a dog can talk.
    • In Chapter 40, Kim refuses to believe in the spy gene in spite of two of her friends being a dragon and a girl whose grandmother is an energy being.
    • In Chapter 43, Brian refuses to believe in the God of Death. Stewie reminds him that they once had dinner with Jesus and "the planet was saved by a ghost kid".
  • Armored Villains, Unarmored Heroes: The author posted an image of Thanatos on his Deviant Art account. As seen, he wears complete armor all over his body, with no indication of what he looks like underneath, save for red eyes.
  • Armor-Piercing Question: In Chapter 28, when Sam says that, without his powers, Danny's "just a normal, unimportant kid again", Kim asks if she's "saying that Danny's worth is based on his powers". Sam flinches at the question.
  • Armor-Piercing Response: When Kim comments that Sam sounds like she's upset Danny doesn't have powers anymore, Sam asks if Kim isn't upset since she fights "mad scientists and super assassins and whatever" and is fine with a regular boyfriend. Kim reminds Sam that she fell in love with Danny way before learning of his powers and her feelings weren't changed by him losing them. "Sam looked like Kim just admitted something unrealistic, like turning lead into gold".
  • Ascended Fanboy: Both Lilo and TJ are huge fans of Danny Phantom, and they not only get to meet him, they become friends with him.
  • Babies Ever After: Many couples have kids by the time of chapter 59, including Drakken and Shego. Most notably, Annie and RJ are revealed to have a daughter together named Dawn, whom Danny and Kim dote on.
  • Bastard Bastard: Played With. Drakken and Shego are unmarried and raise their daughter to be evil, but they actually do care for her and she cares for them as well.
  • Battle Couple: Danny and Kim, especially in later chapters, start to fight alongside each other.
  • Berserk Button: Tucker and Sam inadvertently press Ron's biggest button: disrespecting Bueno Nacho.
  • Best Friend: After the fallout from Vlad's secret being revealed, Jack finds a new best friend in James Possible.
  • Betty and Veronica: Annie Fenton is the Betty and Erica Lipsky is the Veronica for RJ Stoppable's Archie.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Danny is non-stop in how protective he is towards Danielle. When she goes missing and Penny offers help from her and her friends, Dijonnay refuses and Danny snaps at her, causing her to remain afraid of him. Later, when he sees Ms. Finster yelling at Danielle, he wastes no time getting on school grounds and defending her. When Randall threatens to reveal Danielle's secret to Ms. Finster, Danny overshadows him and threatens to publicly humiliate him unless he keeps quiet.
  • Bill... Bill... Junk... Bill...: Daria checking her mail in Chapter 57.
Daria: Bill... bill... junk... so original...
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: Deadpool makes an appearance and loves to mess with the author from time to time.
  • Broken Pedestal:
    • After Chapter 12, Jack has destroyed any trace of his former friendship with Vlad from his home.
    • Ron was a genuine fan of Wizard Kelly before meeting the man and seeing how much of a jerk he is.
  • The Bus Came Back: Chapter 34 features some of Danny's other dates and characters from the same stories they came from.
  • Canon Character All Along:
    • Thanatos, who appears as a new character with no notable origin or reason to hurt Danny or Kim, is revealed to be the new identity of Dark Danny.
    • Danny's mystery friend in the penultimate chapter of Christmas Tales is revealed in the final part to be Balan of Balan Wonderworld.
  • Chick Magnet: Danny becomes the object of affections for other girls besides his dates. This includes the other WOOHP agents, Sibella and Minako Aino/Sailor Venus.
  • Children Are Innocent: During Christmas Tales, Annie misinterpreted the sounds of her parents having sex as them in a sparring match while on vacation, much to their shock and embarrassment, in front of Kim's parents.
  • Christmas Special: There's now a series of Christmas-themed side stories.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl:
    • Unsurprisingly, Sam is pretty territorial with Kim concerning Danny.
    • Kim does her best to not act like this when other girls show interest in Danny. Bonnie and Paulina, however, are the only ones she doesn't try to be friendly with.
    • Annie gets jealous when RJ expresses interest in Erica.
  • Cool Old Lady: Double Subversion. Unlike in the main story, Suga Mama's negative personality traits are brought up, mainly her favoritism towards her son, Bobby, and her mistreatment of Oscar. And when Danielle called her out on that, Suga Mama made her cry by unintentionally reminding her she does not have a family. Though to her credit, she regretted making Danielle cry. At the end of the chapter, Suga Mama apologizes to Danielle and admits that she does love Oscar and feels she needs to be hard on him. Suga Mama promises to tell Oscar she loves him more and helps Danielle with her issues, encouraging her to talk with Danny.
  • Daddy's Girl:
    • Despite being embarrassed by him at times, Kim hasn't told her father about the dating program, much less Danny. She's afraid to tell him the truth, though Danny is considerate to her about it.
    • Annie idolized her father slightly more than her mother, to the point where she uses his logo rather than make her own to remind people who she looks up to.
    • Erica, the daughter of Drakken and Shego, seems to be closer to her father than her mother, since he's said to be the more nurturing of the two.
  • Darker and Edgier: The last pre-marriage arc makes this the first of the Many Dates stories to include death and attempted murder via Dark Danny, giving it a darker tone than the original.
  • A Day in the Limelight: Part four of the Spring Break chapters focuses on Danielle, her desire to be part of the Fenton family and becoming friends with the kids of Recess.
  • Death by Adaptation: Val-Yor and Ma Vreedle are killed off by the "God of Death", whereas they're still alive in their respective canons.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Danny didn't think about what to do after getting Falsetto's wolfhounds' attention.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: After all the buildup of Vlad Plasmius being the major villain, Chapter 40 ends with the revelation of someone calling himself the "God of Death", who is actually Dark Danny.
  • Dirty Coward: Stan Smith won't follow Thanatos' demands to save his family but will do it to save his own life.
  • Dirty Kid: Danny and Cousin Larry read a series of comic submissions. After Paulina and Bonnie's obvious self-inserted stories where they marry Danny, they read a story of a "T-Belcher", which, based on their reactions, was very Not Safe for Work. T-Belcher is heavily implied to be Tina Belcher, given it mentions people named Tammy, Jocelyn, and Frond while also noting the rescue of horses.
  • Double Standard: Abuse, Female on Male:
    • Defied with Trudy's treatment of Oscar, as Danielle calls her out on how she makes the same rude joke about leaving him as he did with her, and first in fact.
    • To calm Kim down, rather than slapping her, Danny allows her to slap him instead. This is justified as Danny, though clearly more powerful than Kim, is unwilling to hurt her and his healing factor helps make the pain go away quickly. Also, outside of this, Kim never tries to harm Danny and it's clear he can handle it.
  • Endearingly Dorky: Danny is pretty giddy when he meets Stitch, an alien "koala-dog thing", since he thinks aliens are cool even if he's already met a few. Kim finds him cute when he acts like this.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: In chapter 11, Señor Senior Senior decides to help the heroes after the Masters' Blasters hurt his son.
  • Evil Counterpart: Erica to Annie. Both are the respective children of couples who were opponents in their early years. Annie is the daughter of Kim Possible and Danny Phantom after they married, while Erica is born out of wedlock between Shego and Doctor Drakken. Both show an interest in RJ Stoppable, are rather quippy, and competent fighters thanks to their mothers' training.
  • Evil Is Petty: Vlad's interference in Danny's attempt to impress Kim's father has no profit for him nor is it a plot for world domination. He's just ruining Danny's pursuit of a relationship out of spite.
  • Exact Words:
    • Clockwork said this reality is one where Vlad is most likely to win than in any other... but he didn't say Vlad actually would win.
    • Thanatos promises not to lay a hand on Stan Smith if the latter tells him the password that opens the ectoranium vault. After Stan gives up the password, he gets stomped on. Thanatos also reminds Katie that he said she'd be with Danny but not "for how long".
  • Family Theme Naming: Even though Kim marries into a family that doesn't have a pun on their name like hers, she still chooses to continue this tradition. All of her kids with Danny have names that rhyme with his, save for one named after him; Ann "Annie" Madeline Fenton, Daniel "Danny" James Fenton Jr., Manford "Manny" Timothy Fenton, and Francine "Frannie" Jacqueline Fenton. Funnily enough, the first chapter of Christmas Tales has Danny poke fun at this, wondering if Kim would name her kids after her husband, even if it were Ben or Ron. Kim even wonders if Joss's mother named her differently out of some awareness of the name.
  • Fate Worse than Death: Vlad's final fate. He's banished to the Unworld after he is apprehended. Normally, he'd be sent as soon as he died, but being half-ghost made him an exception. He's now trapped in a world where he's surrounded by the spirits of those who were banished due to their evil deeds, who are all that he can find. Even worse, a vengeful Warhok becomes aware of his presence and looks to be pummeling him for all eternity.
  • First Girl Wins: Danny and Kim are each other's first date and they choose each other.
  • First Kiss: Chapter 6 of Christmas Tales reveals how Annie got her first kiss—she and RJ happened to be under the mistletoe. DJ ends up getting his own the same way with RJ's sister, Ronnie. Unfortunately for him, it's a Forceful Kiss by someone he's not interested in, like Erica.
  • Foregone Conclusion: This spin-off follows if Danny chose Kim as his match, which means it's obvious they will eventually marry and have their daughter together.
  • Forgiveness: After spending a good part of the story both afraid of and angry at Katie, it comes to an end in chapter 50. After she saves Kim and Danielle from Thanatos, this causes Danny to admit that while he can never love her like Kim, he can finally forgive her.
  • For Want Of A Nail: By taking Ron's request to join the dating service, it would lead to Kim being romantically involved with a superhero, the events of So the Drama being averted, her and Ron never becoming a couple, and eventually having a daughter with Danny Phantom.
  • Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse: Clockwork tells Vlad his reason for being evil is thrown out the window. As Vlad has used his powers for personal gain at the expense of others, any sympathy one could have had for him is no more.
  • From Bad to Worse: At first, it's bad enough that Vlad has assembled an army of robots in his plot to go back in time and prevent Danny and Kim from meeting, but he unintentionally gave Dark Danny a chance to return.
  • Get A Hold Of Yourself Man: Into adulthood, whenever Kim encounters something that freaks her out, Danny snaps her out of it... by getting her to slap him.
  • Go Through Me: An especially gut-wrenching version of this trope: Mr. Kaboom puts himself between Danny and a crazed, monstrous Yandere Katie, saying he deserves to get pummeled for letting Katie get so out of control. Thankfully, Katie is moved enough that she stops her rampage.
  • Green-Eyed Epiphany: Ron realized he has feelings for Kim after seeing how romantically involved she becomes with Danny.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Sam finds out about the program and Danny and Kim's budding relationship. She attacked Tucker for it and later drags him along to follow Danny on his way to Middleton.
  • Happy Ending Override: Danny's comments during Kim's birthday reveal that the happy ending Vanellope got in Ralph Breaks the Internet was undone. Vanellope was noticed by her IP owners, who obviously did not approve of her appearing in Slaughter Race. It led to the game's owners being sued before Vanellope was removed from the game, itself getting blocked by hackers so that she can't return. She returns to the arcade, where she's looked down on once more.
  • Harmless Villain: Camille's shapeshifting powers are so useless in battle, Ember considers the Box Ghost more menacing.
  • Heel–Face Door-Slam: Cree Lincoln begins to reconsider her feud and hatred of kids when she and her sister Abigail Lincoln realize how petty it was during the Disasteroid crises. It was implied that Cree starting to reconnect with Abigail, only for chapter 47 to reveal she was jailed for her connection to the secret war. Cree told Danny she got 5 years because of her dad and even admits that she deserves more time.
  • Hero of Another Story: In The World is Watching, most of the heroes from other series Danny crossed into in the original fic are revealed to be busy with other villains. The Avengers are fighting Thanos, the Justice League is fighting Darkseid, the X-Men are handling an emergency in Genosha and the Teen Titans are in Tokyo.
  • Hypocrite:
    • After Sam asks how many boys Kim has promised a date with to help her become a straight-A student, Kim finally loses her temper and tells Sam that, for all her (Sam's) talk about disliking shallow jerks, she is "just as, if not more, shallow than the rest" because she judges and stereotypes people without bothering to try to actually get to know them.
    • Danielle calls out Trudy Proud for hitting Oscar over a joke about cheating when she herself made one earlier.
  • Insult to Rocks: As far as Tucker is concerned, calling Bueno Nacho junk is "totally unfair to junk".
  • Intergenerational Friendship: Even before they learned the other's identity, Danny met James and they became friendly acquaintances before Kim insisted they meet so that she'd get her father's approval. Going to a convention with astrophysicists and astronauts no doubt endeared Danny more to James.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy:
    • When Kim finds out Danny's secret, she's left unsure if she can trust her boyfriend even though she still loves him. Despite his own feelings for her, Ron chooses not to reveal them and convinces Kim to be with Danny instead. He advises Kim to talk it out with Danny and forgive him, as it's clear it wasn't enough for her to want to break up with him.
    • Many of Danny's dates still have feelings for him, but accept he's with a good girl like Kim.
  • Jaw Drop: Kim's reaction in Chapter 25 when Danny eagerly asks to go with her and her dad to the Annual Meeting of Rocket Scientists, Engineers, and Astronomers. Later in the chapter, Danny has one as James figures out Danielle is Danny's clone; James points out that he's a scientist.
  • Jerkass: Wizard Kelly fires his secretary for correcting him on Oscar Proud's name and steals a formula from Oscar that turns snacks into fireworks to not have to pay for any.
  • Jerkass Realization: While playing Sugar Rush, Kim and Danielle's talk about how the latter wants to live with the Fentons has Danielle bringing up how she wouldn't be ungrateful and ditch them, as she's not some princess abandoning her life for something she just saw just because it was more interesting as that'd be terrible. Overhearing them makes Vanellope realize how terrible she was for abandoning her game.
  • Just Ignore It: Unlike canon, this is Danny's reaction to the Masters' Blasters—he decides to simply let them save people. As Kim predicted, eventually the hype wears out and people begin to refuse to pay, the Blasters refuse to help people, and Danny saves them, winning his popularity back and making the Blasters look bad.
  • Karma Houdini Warranty: Unlike the series, the Masters' Blasters are put in an actual battle with Danny. They lose.
  • Killed Mid-Sentence: Peter Griffin gets disintegrated before he can finish his cutaway in chapter 43.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Thanatos, the supposed God of Death who already has a massive body count upon his introduction. Since he's actually Dark Danny, this makes his presence as a more serious character fitting.
  • Lame Comeback: As mentioned in Arbitrary Skepticism during chapter 43, when Stewie points out to Brian that Jesus came to their home for dinner one time and how the planet was saved by Danny, Brian merely shrugs in response rather than giving any logical reasons or facts.
  • Leaning on the Fourth Wall: When Sailor Pluto says that Danny's choices have affected his fate, it's subtly referring to the alternate timelines where Danny chose another girl and had a considerably different life.
  • Legion of Doom: Drakken and Shego form an alliance with Vlad, though they secretly plan to double-cross him.
  • Let's You and Him Fight: Due to a misunderstanding, Danny Phantom gets into a fight with Jake Long until it's cleared up. The chapter ends with them having a sparring match and it's left ambiguous who won.
  • Let Us Never Speak of This Again: Danny, Jazz, Sam, and Tucker have all sworn to never mention the events of The Ultimate Enemy ever again. They have to explain it to Jack, Maddie, Danielle, Kim, and Kim's team and family when it turns out Thanatos is Dark Danny.
  • Like Parent, Like Child:
    • Kim says this trope when she sees Annie holding her own against Vlad.
    • Many have also said Annie is just as quippy as Danny is. She takes this as a compliment when his foes mean it as an insult.
  • Lovable Jock:
    • At the Middleton dance, Danny meets Brick Flagg, who is nothing like Dash Baxter.
    • While in San Francisco, Danielle meets Riley Anderson, who plays hockey and becomes friends with her.
  • Love at First Sight: Much like how Danny found Kim very pretty when he first met her, Kim found Danny to be very cute when she first met him.
  • Love Confession: In chapter 15, Danny's attempt to tell Kim about his powers fails when he admits first that he loves her. Kim doesn't give him a chance to finish because she kisses him and admits she loves him too.
  • Love Epiphany: Vlad's kidnapping of Kim is what makes Danny realize he loves her.
  • Moon-Landing Hoax: One chapter has Danny, Kim and Professor Paradox, with help from the cast of All Grown Up, try to explain to Ron why it would have been impossible to fake the moon landing. After he refuses to budge, Paradox sends him to 1969 to try and emulate it. Ron concedes it couldn't have been faked because it was impossible. Also, the KND's belief they tricked adults into faking the moon landing is proven wrong by virtue of Bat-Mite and Mxyzptlk having caused their war with adults for laughs.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • The Ben 10 franchise, featured in the original fic, is alluded to in Chapter 28 when James Possible mentions a smoothie chain from Bellwood.
    • Drakken names his daughter Erica, having said he always wanted to have a son named Eric. Eric was the name of the synthodroid he used against Kim in So the Drama.
    • Shaggy and Madelyn "have a little bundle of joy named Casey". Shaggy was originally voiced by Casey Kasem.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Vlad's interference in Danny's attempt to impress Kim's father was meant to ruin his day and future with her. Instead, he unintentionally made it so Danny saved James Possible from harm, earning his respect and approval to pursue a relationship with his daughter. This causes Vlad to lose his patience and destroy his own desk as a result.
  • No Guy Wants an Amazon: Most of Kim's dates "were a bit put off by her skills in combat". Danny himself isn't this at all, as he likes that she's a capable fighter on her own. This helped her fall for him.
  • "No. Just… No" Reaction: When Kim is asked by her daughter if she can meet Deadpool, Kim repeatedly says no before admitting there are not enough in the world to properly respond to that.
  • Not So Above It All: Despite still wanting to be seen as a young adult, Jazz doesn't have issue with her father bringing her ice cream all of the time, stating a love for ice cream has no age limit.
  • Oblivious to Love: Danny is still clueless about Sam's feelings for him. When Danielle admits she thinks Kim is prettier than Sam, he questions why people keep telling him that. It isn't until the "Always a Hero" arc when Clockwork straight-up tells a comatose Danny about Sam's former crush on him that he finally realizes how oblivious he was.
  • Offended by an Enemy's Indifference: At one point when Dash tries to bully Danny, who feels indifferent towards him, Dash demands he show fear. Danny responds by stating he's not afraid of a guy who's content to peak in high school.
  • Open-Minded Parent: The Possibles point out that most parents wouldn't let Kim out of the house with the life she lives, so they're more than accepting of her boyfriend being a superhero.
  • Origins Episode: The first Christmas-themed side story has a flashback that explains why Deadpool hates Hank Hill.
  • Overly Narrow Superlative: In Chapter 24, Aviarius describes himself as "the world's most evil master of all birds". Danny mockingly asks, "how many evil bird masters are there?"
  • Parodies for Dummies: Sounding Cool for Dimwits.
  • P.O.V. Sequel: The first chapter is Kim's date with Danny, retold from her perspective.
  • The Power of Love: The first thing Danny was able to feel while in a coma was Kim kissing him. What finally woke him up was learning she was in danger and needed him.
  • Power Perversion Potential: After overshadowing Shego, Danny takes a moment to admire her figure. He snaps out it because he needs to knock her out and rescue Kim.
  • Precocious Crush:
    • Kim notices when they encounter Juniper Lee that she seems to like Danny. Danny says he's already got a great girlfriend while stating Juniper is too young for him.
    • DJ develops an instant crush on Erica, the daughter of Doctor Drakken and Shego, much to his family's dismay.
  • Prefer Jail to the Protagonist: When Jack and Maddie decide to get their hands on Killigan for attacking their home on Danny's birthday, he begs Kim to send him to jail. She lies about not having a phone so that she and Danny can enter the house while his parents pummel the golfer.
  • Punny Name: Seymour Butts
  • Puppy-Dog Eyes: When Ron gets grounded and she needs a sidekick, Kim tries to recruit Danny. When he objects, she does her "puppy dog pout". He's powerless to resist. Later, it turns out she taught Danielle this, allowing her to use it on Danny as well.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech:
    • When Kim finally has enough of Sam's snootiness and hypocritical attitude towards her in Chapter 11.
Kim: Okay, Sam! Why are you like this? Are you jealous of me and Danny?
      Sam: I am not!
Kim: Don't play dumb with me; I'm a straight-A student.
Sam: Pfft… how many boys have you promised a date with to help you?
Kim: Okay, you know what?! I think I know what's your problem. For all your talk about disliking shallow jerks, you're just as, if not more, shallow than the rest! You won't give me a chance to be your friend just because I'm a cheerleader. Have you seen my best friend? Sure, I have a habit of not exactly being a saint, but I care about people. You, however, are unwilling to even try and be nice with others. So, I'm a cheerleader, so what? Why is that a good excuse to be rude to me? How does that make you better?! The answer is, of course, it doesn't! And by the way, Danny told me you're rich. You complain about what's wrong with people and the world and yet all you do is buy depressing poetry and concert tickets! I use my cheerleading to save people and stop bad guys. You wanna do something good or prove you're not another shallow little brat?! Why don't you use that money and instead of buying more black clothes, donate to homeless shelters or fixing houses that were destroyed by storms?! I'm trying to be friends with you because I like Danny a lot. I don't have to be your friend, but I actually put the effort into it for his sake. So why aren't you willing to put in any effort? If you care about him in any way at all, why aren't you willing to do something to make him happy?
    • Danny gives one to Bonnie over her unwanted advances towards him at junior prom in chapter 40.
      Danny: WHAT THE HECK?!
Bonnie: What's wrong? I kissed you, not try to stab you or whatever ghosts try to do to you.
Danny: That's just it! I have a girlfriend! One who actually cared about me before she found out my secret! She also still saw me as the same guy she fell for! You're just a Spoiled Brat who likes to think the world revolves around her because she has nothing else in her life! She saves lives while you're too busy whining about your manicure or scoffing at when maniacs try to take over the world because you think you're the only one with a life. She's cool, humble, if a tiny bit braggy about her skills when not saving the day, and very fun even to just talk with. You're too full of yourself. Why would I ever leave someone who loves me for who I am over someone who isn't half of what she is?
  • Reduced to Dust: All those who fell victim to Thanatos in Quahog.
  • Refuse to Rescue the Disliked:
    • While playing Fix-it Felix, Jr., Danny refuses to protect the bystander who "looks like a jerk", and his description suggests it to be Gene.
    • In "The New Normal", Danny tells Kim about the time the Teen Titans were "avoiding some dude they didn't like". The man asked for their help against an invading force that wiped out 10% of the population of Vernathia and, "Since he's a massive jerk and he clearly just wanted to take credit for it, they refused". The mention of Vernathia and the way the Titans describe the individual suggest him to be Val-Yor.
  • Relationship Upgrade: After her fall formal, Danny and Kim properly start a relationship.
  • Riches to Rags: In Chapter 64, it's revealed that Wizard Kelly lost his fortune because of an illegal deal with LexCorp. His hometown is no longer named after him.
  • Sarcasm-Blind: When Kim "apologizes" to Danny for leaving her anti-mutant dog repellant in her other mission gear, Ron genuinely believes they have some.
  • Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: Chapter 1 of Christmas Tales features a Wendigo attempting to break into Danny and Kim's cabin to feast on human flesh. Upon realizing it's Danny Phantom that it provoked, and knowing about his battle with Thanatos, the wendigo leaves without putting up a fight. It even decided to become a vegetarian to further avoid trouble.
  • Secret-Keeper:
    • After she forgives Danny for keeping his secret, Kim swears she will tell no one about his powers. Eventually, because he hates having her lie to her loved ones, Danny decides they should tell Ron and her family.
    • Chapter 57 establishes that Jazz knows Antonio is a Power Ranger but is keeping it secret.
  • Secret Secret-Keeper: Kim's family had suspected Danny Fenton was Danny Phantom for some time, Ann even betting with James on it. Once he reveals his powers to them, Ann's ecstatic she won the bet and they agree to keep his secret as long as he keeps their daughter safe.
  • She Is Not My Girlfriend: Danny and Kim repeatedly inform people they are not boyfriend and girlfriend... at least until her fall formal.
  • Shipper on Deck:
    • Danny's parents and sister are very taken with Kim Possible, with Jack even whispering to his son to marry her.
    • Danny, the rest of his kids, and Annie's friends tease Annie for her obvious close relationship with RJ, much to her annoyance.
  • Shipping Torpedo:
    • Sam, unsurprisingly, is very against Danny dating a cheerleader.
    • Star secretly had a crush on Danny, but Paulina had a strict rule against dating people outside the A-list. Thanks to his relationship with Kim and other things, Star is angry at Paulina for ruining a potential relationship for her.
  • Soapbox Sadie: Kim verbally deconstructs this during her "The Reason You Suck" Speech to Sam, pointing out that Sam complains about all of the issues that occur in the world but instead of using the wealth she is lucky to have to help solve those issues and aid people in need, she just spends the money on herself.
  • Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace: When the line is mentioned during Danny and Kim's wedding, Vlad objects... "To both of them living!"
  • Stop Being Stereotypical:
    • Kim gets annoyed when the A-Listers and Sam assume she's a shallow, air-headed mean girl who bullies "losers" and makes people do her homework for her just because she's head cheerleader.
      Kim: So not the stereotype!
    • Phantasma and Spectra Vondergeist dislike Vlad for making ghosts like them look bad.
  • Strange Minds Think Alike: In the Danny Phantom episode "Flirting With Disaster", Jack has Sam's name engraved on a ring and she misread it as "Wes". In this fic, Señor Senior Junior also misreads the ring and wonders who "Wes" is.
  • "Success Through Sex" Accusation: A G-Rated variant; Sam assumes that Kim is a Brainless Beauty simply because she's a cheerleader. When she learns that Kim is a straight-A student, Sam accuses her of having offered boys dates to do her homework. Kim responds by giving Sam a tongue-lashing pointing out that for all of Sam's claims of hating shallow people, she's being shallow by making assumptions about Kim without getting to know her.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial:
    • In chapter 22, Oscar Proud says he asked for Kim's help "because she's great... and not because she's free and the police have very little respect for Proud Snacks".
    • In chapter 54, Coco Banana put Kim's old mission gear back on shelves. The decision is a result of popular demand and not because he is terrified of Danny.
  • Take That!:
    • Chapter 6 has one to the ending of Ralph Breaks the Internet, with Danny's comments revealing it to have been undone as he and Kim play Sugar Rush. Another one happens in Chapter 24 by having Kim saying "selfish and stupid would be abandoning your home in favor of some place you've been in for like an hour at most" and Danielle adding, "it's not like I'm a princess abandoning everything I've known because I saw something mildly interesting". Vanellope was listening in and immediately regretted her decision.
    • Chapter 10 begins a retelling of "Phantom Planet", acting as a deliberate Take That! to the presentation of the actual series finale of Danny Phantom. Chapter 13 in particular mocks how the series ended with Tucker becoming mayor of Amity Park, with Sam and Danny acknowledging how ridiculous it sounds.
    • Chapter 24 has one to Danny being paired with Juniper Lee by having it acknowledged that she's too young for him.
    • Like NeoMark's other story that pairs Danny and Kim, Bueno Nacho is mocked as a stand-in for the real-life Taco Bell. Notably, the President of Mexico calls it an insult to his culture.
    • A brief one towards the Kim Possible live-action film as Drakken admits he considered turning the boy synthodrone into a girl, but dismissed it as it was just the same thing.
    • The author admits in Chapter 43 he's not fond of Family Guy by having Thanatos kill off almost the entire population of Quahog.
    • Chapter 64 features one to the finale of Star vs. the Forces of Evil. It turns out that fusing Earth and Mewni and the magical genocide Star and her family (Marco included) caused landed them in serious trouble, with the events undone by higher beings. Danny says he heard they'll leave house arrest in 80 years.
    • The Quiet Mountain bit from Christmas Tales is an obvious jab at Konami for not just their current business practices of favoring mobile games over console, but also their current lack of care for the Silent Hill series.
    • After visiting Betty White's grave in Christmas Tales, Deadpool says how he hoped the worst thing to happen that December was Santa Inc..
    • NFTs. Danny remarks how stupid it is for people to blow off money for digital images they don't actually own.
  • The Tease: Erica whispers to Annie that she might take RJ for herself if Annie doesn't make a move.
  • That Came Out Wrong: During their first mission together, Kim is surprised when Danny uses a grappling hook that his pants didn't come off. • Their First Time: Chapter 57, The Wedding, has Danny and Kim, now a married couple, consummate their marriage.
  • Undignified Death: Assuming Deadpool was telling the truth, Ed Wuncler I met his end when Deadpool came for him and caused him to die of fright... on the toilet.
  • Vague Age: Shego distracts Kim by claiming she plans to date Danny once Kim is out of the picture. Kim is disgusted since she assumes Shego is in her 20s. Then she asks how old Shego actually is.
  • Villain Decay: Falsetto Jones spent so much money "to get out of prison" last time, he can't afford to be in as much trouble as he used to.
  • We Used to Be Friends: Chapter 12 sees Vlad's secret revealed to Amity Park, and Jack renounces his friendship when Vlad reveals how much he hated him with a punch to the face.
  • Wham Line:
    • Chapter 11 ends with Señor Senior Junior finding a golden ring and wondering, "Who the heck is Wes?"
    • Chapter 39, Looking Forward, has Dani at one point accidentally looking into the future via the Tempus Simia and seeing a little redhead girl playing when her mother calls for her. Kim assumes the little girl is herself. However, Dani thinks back to the child she saw and muses, "I could have sworn she had blue eyes."
    • Chapter 52, Danny confronts Thanatos and demands he leave his armor. "So I can see... If you still look like me..."
  • Wimp Fight: Ron and Tucker's fight over the latter having badmouthed Bueno Nacho consists of them "slapping each other weakly like two children on the playground".

    • Trudy was called out for her hypocrisy.
    • Suga Mama's negative traits such as her treatment towards Oscar were brought up by Danielle.
  • Yandere: Thanks to planting the moodulator on Katie, she reverts back to this attitude towards Danny. Thankfully, she's able to come back to her senses.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: Unlike Sam, Kim sees Danny for more than just his powers. After Danny loses his powers, Kim counters the infamous dialogue from "Phantom Planet" by saying his powers aren't his only worth.

TMDDF: Danny Chooses Alex After the Many Dates
  • Adaptational Jerkass: Clover. In canon, she always had a slight dislike of nerds and was a little shallow. In this story, she's more vocal about her dislike and openly looks down on nerds, being more mean and shallow.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: In all the other stories, Tucker Foley and Velma Dinkley are in a relationship. In this story, Tucker did not get together with Velma because he didn't want to pursue a long-distance relationship.
  • Caught on Tape: When the heroes confront William Stryker, Alex makes sure to record his confession of having Nightcrawler attack the president in order to scare him because she knows that, as a high-ranking government official, he'll get off scot-free without any solid proof to their accusations.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Alex has been shown to have little tolerance towards another girl expressing any interest in Danny, including Mandy, whom she gave a black eye to for hitting on him behind her back.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: When Paulina meets Clover, Samantha, and Alex, and learns that Alex is dating Danny, she assumes that Alex is only dating him to humiliate him later. Alex tells her no and leaves, saying it was not nice to meet her. Despite only saying a few words to her, Paulina joins up with Dash to humiliate both Danny and Alex.
  • Does He Have a Brother?: Clover asks Alex if Danny has any good-looking friends.
  • Everyone Can See It: The girls question how Danny could be so clueless about Sam's feelings for him.
  • Future Loser: Deconstruction. Clover is not impressed that Dash so willingly accepts he won't amount to anything after high school rather than try to work to turn his talent in football into a career.
  • Good Is Not Nice: Clover is heroic, but she doesn't hide her disgust with Tucker and to some extent, Ron and Danny.
  • Hypocrite: When Clover learns that Kim is dating Ron, she was disgusted and wondered if Kim was either desperate or hoping he would become rich again. This is despite the fact that Clover was only willing to date Ron when he was rich and dumped Dash for him, and later broke up with Ron when he lost his money, only to regret this when it turned out he was going to get it back eventually.
  • Hopeless Suitor: Tucker becomes one to Clover, who makes her disinterest obvious.
  • Internal Reveal: Alex FINALLY finds out Danny's secret in chapter 22: "Spring Break".
  • Jerkass Ball: Clover has several of these.
    • Clover tried to set up Alex with one of Dash's friends, Dale, even though she knew Alex was dating Danny because Danny is not into sports like Alex. And when Dale attempted to attack Alex for not leaving Danny for him, Clover didn't care. To be fair according to Word of God, Dash stopping Dale from attacking Alex for pragmatic reasons was why Clover did nothing.
    • Clover dumped Dash for Ron because he was temporarily rich, then went back to Dash when Ron lost his money, only to regret not staying with Ron when she learned that he got his money back. Yes, Dash is a jerk, but at the time he did nothing to deserve that.
    • During the So Totally the Drama arc when Clover learned that Kim and Ron were dating, she was disgusted and mocked the both of them behind their backs, whispering to Alex that Kim is either desperate or hoping Ron would become rich again. Clover is also ignoring the fact that she previously dated Ron for his money and regretted dumping him when she learned he became rich again.
  • Jerkass Has a Point
    • Clover was as mean as possible to Tucker, making it clear that he disgusts her and she thinks he's pathetic in trying to impress her. But Clover is right that Tucker was pretending to be something he's not and she has zero interest in him.
    • Sam's parents were very rude when making it clear they don't understand what she sees in Danny, let alone what any other girl can see in him, but they are right that if Sam likes Danny, what's to stop another girl from liking him?
  • Nice Girl: Alex is a very sweet, peppy girl.
  • One-Steve Limit: To keep himself from confusing the two, Danny calls Alex's friend Samantha.
  • Secret Secret-Keeper: Just like in the original story, Danny knows Alex's secret life as a spy and hasn't told her yet to protect her.
  • Shipping Torpedo:
    • Downplayed. Clover tries to set up Alex with one of Dash's friends, Dale, because Danny's not into sports like her. However, Clover does not truly dislike Danny or try to get in the way of his and Alex's relationship and accepts that Alex is not interested in Dale. And later, Clover becomes more supportive of Danny and Alex's relationship.
    • Sam's parents make it clear they don't know what she sees in Danny, let alone any other girl.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: Alex, when Dale tries to beat Danny so he can sit with Alex and her friends. She proceeds to beat him up and make him leave.
  • What Does She See in Him?: Several people, including Sam and Clover, question why a pretty Beverly Hills girl like Alex would want to date a guy like Danny.

TMDDF: After Many Dates: Danny and Gwen
  • The Ace: Like in canon, Gwen is a straight-A student with an impressive list of extracurricular activities that can rival even Jazz. Aside from her powers, she also does martial arts and volunteer work. Sam, out of jealousy, wonders why someone like her would want to be with Danny.
  • Armor-Piercing Question:
    • When Danny confronts Sam over spying on Gwen, making her a target for the Guys in White:
Danny: Why did you even spy on Gwen in the first place?!
Sam: I was trying to protect you!
Danny: From what? My own girlfriend?
Sam: I thought she was going to hurt you!
Danny: Why would you think my own girlfriend would try to hurt me?
Sam: Oh come on Danny… Gwen is-
Danny: What? A living breathing female? An attractive living breathing female that actually likes a guy like me? Why do you think it's impossible that she could sincerely like me for me?
      Sam: Uh… well… It just didn't make sense to me! I mean, you're a year younger and she's a straight-A student! And-
Danny: You think she's that shallow? Do you think every girl is that shallow?
      Sam: Uh… umm…
    • Sam gets another one from Max when he confronts her over what she nearly did to his granddaughter:
Sam: I wasn't gonna show anyone but Danny!
Max: And what would you have done if he didn't know? Do you think he'd expose her? Would he really go that far? And were you really willing to ruin her life on the chance she's not evil?
    • Poison Ivy is asked why she doesn't use her resources to restore environments instead of punishing people who damage it.
  • Armor-Piercing Response:
    • This exchange when Danny tells Sam he already knew about Gwen's powers:
Sam: You should have told us! I can't believe you hid this from us! We're your best friends! How could you keep this from us?!
Danny: Gwen asked me to keep it between us and I wasn't going to abandon her trust when she said she wanted to let you all know on her own time!
    • When Max confronts Sam over what she nearly did to his grandchildren:
Max: From this moment on, you're under our watch. Anything you say or do is going to be monitored to make sure you don't open your mouth about Gwen, or Ben...
Sam: THIS IS AN INVASION OF PRIVACY!
Max: You should have thought of that before you did that to my granddaughter.
    Sam: I... uh...
Max: I recommend you take a good look at yourself before you make any other move.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Vlad wants to imprison Gwen in a cage and is desperate enough to entertain making a wish, so he asks Desiree for a way to make a wish that won't backfire. After he promises she'll have her own kingdom, Desiree says he "can make one wish with no strings attached per person" but the wisher still needs to be careful with the wish's wording. She says Vlad can't simply "wish the girl Danny Phantom loves is in this cage" because they don't know if he "loves someone else or more than one person"; and "love could be misconstrued as either romantic, platonic, or familial". She also cautions Vlad against using Gwen's name because everyone with the same name would be affected as well and tells him to use "as many details" about Gwen. He opts to "wish the girl with red hair and green eyes that Daniel met and dated during the summer who is very fond of him and fights evil to be in this cage!" The wish ends up not only bringing Gwen but also Kim Possible, Starfire and Sailor Jupiter, who's actually a brunette but, "in the right light and at the right angle, she looks like a redhead".
  • Betty and Veronica: Danny is the Betty (the approachable Nice Guy) and Kevin is the Veronica (the tough bad boy) for Gwen as the Archie. Played with since Gwen knew Kevin longer than Danny, although they had a... complicated start.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Both Danny and Jazz are absolutely furious when they learn that Sam's jealousy of Gwen indirectly put her and Danielle in serious danger.
  • Big Brother Instinct:
    • Part of the reason why Danny and Jazz are furious with Sam in the 11th chapter is that her spying on Gwen indirectly destroyed the best chance they had to save Danielle's life before she got destabilized. They also don't take kindly to Sam yelling at Danielle when she points out that Sam and Danny don't really have much in common so she shouldn't use that as an excuse for why Gwen and Danny shouldn't be together:
      Sam: YOU SHUT UP!
Danny and Jazz: DO NOT TALK TO HER LIKE THAT!
    • Jazz uses her part of "The Reason You Suck" Speech to Sam to ream her for how badly she's always treated Danny, especially with her refusal to take responsibility for her actions.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Not for the story but for the Archenemies Unite arc. Danny and Ben managed to defeat Vilgax and stop his invasion, but due to Sam's actions resulting in Gwen's secret being revealed and Vlad's meddling, Danny can't see Gwen anymore. Also, Sam ends up destroying her friendship with everyone as a result of her actions.
  • Canon Character All Along: Vivian, Donald and Thad are introduced as seemingly new characters. In chapter 13, they turn out to be the true identities of the Masters' Blasters.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Sam is unsurprisingly this, but it's averted with Gwen. She can tell Sam has feelings for Danny but is confident in their relationship since he started dating her by his own choice.
  • Continuity Nod: "Purple Eyes of Jealousy" has Danny take Gwen to see A Midsummer Night's Dream, which he did in the snippets of the original story.
  • Dating Catwoman: Poison Ivy speaks of Batman in a way that makes Ben bring up the fact he thinks Batman and Catwoman had a thing.
  • Deal with the Devil: Max is forced to make with Vlad: Max won't expose Vlad's Secret Identity, and Vlad won't expose Gwen's.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: For telling Deadpool he didn't think Betty White is as beloved as the Dallas Cowboys, Hank Hill awakens to find his lawn gone, not a single blade of grass left, and a note that tricks him into saying things he doesn't agree with, like "propane sucks", while being recorded. While some would consider these things more annoying than traumatizing, this being Hank Hill, he's left devastated and enraged.
  • Dramatic Irony:
    • Both Danny and the readers, especially those familiar with Ben 10, know that Gwen is very much the good person she presents herself as, but Sam thinks she's hiding a dark secret.
    • When Sam spies on Gwen using her powers, she tries to tell Danny. However, he already knows about Gwen's powers since their first date was crashed by Technus.
  • The Dreaded: Played for Laughs. Jack and Maddie are so afraid of how Sam will react to Danny having a girlfriend that both of them call "dibs on not telling".
  • Dude Magnet: Gwen dressed as Lucky Girl has gotten her quite a bit of attention from guys, especially Danny. Even without it, a few boys, including Kevin, still show interest in her.
  • Eating the Eye Candy: Danny sees what Gwen looks like in a two-piece swimsuit and stares at her for a while.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: Ben's comment that maybe they will "get lucky" is what gives Gwen the idea to see Danny without being spotted. She'll go as Lucky Girl.
  • Evil Versus Evil: Chapter 2 ends with Vilgax stealing Ectoranium from Vlad's space station.
  • Exact Words:
    • Vlad's exact words are that Gwen Tennyson cannot be seen in Amity Park. He said nothing about Lucky Girl.
    • Vlad's wish is for the girl with red hair and green eyes who fights evil that Danny met in the summer who has a soft spot for him to be transported into a cage. As Desiree pointed out, they had no idea that description refers to more than one girl.
    • Tired of the Infi-Map taking them to towns inhabited by Danny's past dates, Danny and Gwen ask it to take them somewhere nobody they know lives. They go to Arlen, Texas and meet Deadpool, who points out he doesn't live there.
  • Female Misogynist: As Danny points out in chapter 11, Sam automatically assumes that every female besides her is completely shallow.
  • From Bad to Worse: Chapter 10 ends with Danny being confronted by both his parents and the Guys In White, all the while Vilgax carries on with his evil plot with Vlad as his ally.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Sam becomes jealous of Gwen's relationship with Danny and tries to dig up dirt on her.
  • Has a Type: Given her canon attraction to Kevin, and thoughts on Danny, Gwen seems to have a fondness for men with black hair.
  • Heroes Love Dogs: Danny manages to tame a mutant dog that Dr. Animo tried to attack innocent people with, then sic him on the evil doctor once he's unable to defend himself.
  • Hypocrite:
    • Sam uses the fact that Danny and Gwen hardly have anything in common as an excuse for her to spy on Gwen, but as Danielle points out, Sam also hardly has anything in common with Danny.
    • Sam complains that Danny didn't trust her enough to tell her Gwen's secret. This is despite the fact that it wasn't Danny's secret to tell, he was proving that he was trustworthy by keeping the secret, and Sam's actions proved she couldn't be trusted.
    • When Max confronts Sam over what she did to Gwen, the goth tries to get out of it by claiming she has nothing to say to a stranger, prompting this statement.
Max: Funny... you won't speak to one but your browser history showed a lot of search for any information concerning one, my granddaughter Gwen to be precise.
    • Sam also protests against having her privacy invaded when Max tells her the Plumbers will keep an eye on her to make sure she won't blab about Gwen or Ben's powers. As Max points out, she should have thought of it before invading Gwen's privacy.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Ben calling Gwen nosy while spying on her filling out her dating website form.
  • I Hate Past Me: Gwen admits to Danny she was a brat when she was 10.
  • Internal Reveal: Jazz learns Danny has a clone.
  • Irony: Because of Vilgax, Vlad had to cancel "his weekend spa trip near Gotham", unknowingly sparing him from becoming one of Poison Ivy's victims.
  • It's All About Me:
    • When Sam finds out that Danny knew about Gwen's powers the whole time, she complains that Danny didn't trust her in telling her this secret, despite the fact that she was trying to expose it in the first place and it wasn't Danny's secret to begin with.
    • Sam is more concerned with how her destroyed friendships affect her than the fact that she was messing with Danny's relationship with Gwen. Max confronting her on this causes her to rethink her behavior.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: When Gwen tells Danny she heard of Tucker's profile name because her friend Emily warned her about a creep using a fake profile to date girls, Danny admits she has a right to call Tucker that.
  • Jurisdiction Friction: Max takes advantage of this by putting Gwen, Ben, and Danny under the Plumbers' watch and protection so the Guys in White can't hunt them anymore. Because the Plumbers have much more government power than the Guys in White do, the latter has no choice but to agree to this.
  • Loophole Abuse: Gwen exploits it for all it's worth when she realizes that even though Gwen Tennyson can't be seen in Amity Park or around Danny Fenton, her persona Lucky Girl has no such restriction to being around Danny Phantom.
  • Misplaced Retribution: While Poison Ivy's scheme was already a heavy case of Disproportionate Retribution, she went as far as to victimize innocent people who were not connected to the alleged crimes she is angry about, all because they had the misfortune of coming to the spa in her target's place. Danny and the others call her out on this. It's also noted that, had Bruce Wayne accepted his invitation and fallen for Ivy's trap, it'd still be a case of misplaced retribution because what she wanted to punish him for was done by an executive at his company behind his back.
  • Mythology Gag: Sam's confession to both spying on Gwen and her feelings for Danny are similar to how she did it in Danny and Kara. The only differences are that it was toward Gwen Tennyson, not Kara Kent, and Danny is much angrier with Sam's actions because she put Danielle and Gwen's lives in serious danger.
  • Named by the Adaptation: In this fic, the Masters' Blasters are named Vivian Hayley Smithee, Donald Commerce and Thad Rash.
  • Never My Fault: Sam refuses to see herself to blame for Gwen's powers being discovered, the Guys in White and Danny's parents forbidding Gwen from seeing him, etc. Jazz rightly calls her out on this attitude and points out that she NEVER accepts responsibility for her actions.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Sam went to Bellwood with Tucker to spy on Gwen, and when they found out about her powers, Sam used her phone to record Gwen using them since she assumed Danny didn't know about them yet. That was when Operative K and Operative O of The Guys in White recognize Sam and Tucker and capture them. While they escape, Sam accidentally left her phone behind and the Guys in White found the video of Gwen. So thanks to Sam, The Guys in White are now hunting Ben, Gwen, and Kevin in Bellwood along with Danny.
  • Oh, Crap!: In Chapter 5, Dash has this reaction upon realizing that, instead of hitting Danny with a water balloon that had another liquid instead of water, he hit Kevin.
  • One-Steve Limit:
    • When Danny and Jazz meet Spectra Vondergeist, Danny has to tell Jazz she's not Penelope Spectra.
    • When Vlad decides to wish Gwen in a cage and make a deal with Desiree so it won't backfire, she warns him not to just use Gwen's name, otherwise every girl with the same name will be in the cage.
    • Two girls named Violet appear in "Eternal Youth Spa". One of them is one of Poison Ivy's henchwomen, and the other is Invisigirl.
  • The Only One Allowed to Defeat You: As SixSix learns in Chapter 9, Skulker won't let Danny become anyone else's prey.
  • Opposites Attract: By their own admission, Gwen and Danny have little in common. However, Danny admires Gwen's brilliant and intelligent mind while Gwen admires his good nature and sense of humor.
  • Papa Wolf: Max uses his status as a Plumber to get the Guys in White to stop hunting his grandchildren and Danny by putting them under the Plumber's protection. He also puts Sam and Vlad under their watch so they don't spill Gwen's secret.
  • P.O.V. Sequel: The first chapter is Gwen's perspective of her date with Danny.
  • Punch-Clock Hero: The Masters' Blasters might protect people from ghosts but, since they're not being paid to do anything else, they won't stop bank robbers.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Danny, Jazz, Tucker, and Danielle give Sam a brutal one when her jealousy of Gwen made things even worse for everybody and kick her out of Team Phantom:
Danny: So... because you were jealous and too afraid to tell me how you feel... you thought of spying on her and risk exposing a secret she WANTED to keep from others?
Sam: You make that sound terrible...
    Danny: It IS terrible!
Sam: I didn't mean for things to go this far! I just wanted to... complicate things.
Danny: Well... The Guys in White know... Vlad knows... an alien bent on ruling the Universe is on his way and I can't help them because Vlad had my parents raise a shield around the entire town... oh, and Danielle lost her best chance at being stabilized from whatever Vlad had Skulker hit her with that will melt her alive because, thanks to the Guys in White, I couldn't get her to Ben in time... is THAT complicated enough?!
Sam: [stepping back in shock at seeing how angry Danny is] But… I've told you how I feel about y-
Danny: You think that makes what you did okay?!
    Sam: No...
Tucker: Uh, Danny? I'd like to point out that the shield should have an opening in a few seconds. You'll have two minutes to get out.
Danny: [nods, turns his back to Sam, morphs into his ghost form, and then looks at Jazz and Danielle]. I'll be back...
    Jazz and Danielle: Be careful...
    Sam: Danny?
Danny: [holds up a hand to get her to stop talking] When I get back... you better not be here. [begins his flight towards Bellwood]
Danielle: [Turns to Sam] If I melt, it's your fault. If you were just honest, or if you told Danny what you did, phone or no phone, we wouldn't be here.
Sam: [Turns to Jazz] You're playing big sister for her too, you gonna let her disrespect me?
Jazz: I’ll let her know when I think she said something wrong.
Sam: I... I... If Danny had just told me that Gwen had these powers at the start, I’d-
Jazz: DON'T YOU DARE TRY TO PIN THE BLAME ON MY BROTHER!
[Everybody left in the room recoils at Jazz’s anger]
Tucker: Whoa... I've never seen her like this…
Danielle: Me neither, and I've spent 80% of my time here with her. Admittedly, you've known her longer but she's been super fun and cool to me.
Jazz: Unlike you, my brother was proving to Gwen that she could trust him by keeping her powers a secret!
    Sam: What about MY trust?!
Danielle: You have no right to talk about trust when you can't be trusted. He was going to tell you and Tucker once Gwen gave the okay.
Sam: I’m just saying if I... if I had been told then-
Jazz: SHUT UP! SAM! THIS WHOLE THING IS YOUR FAULT! YOUR ACTIONS RUINED GWEN'S RELATIONSHIP WITH DANNY AND ENDANGERED DANIELLE'S LIFE AND THE WHOLE WORLD TOO IF DANNY CAN'T MAKE IT IN TIME!
Tucker: [whispering to Danielle] Wow… are we sure the alien conqueror is the scariest thing right now?
Jazz: YOU NEVER TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING! YOU CONVINCED HIM TO GO INTO THAT STUPID PORTAL!
Sam: Hey! He wanted to go in, I just encouraged him! How is it bad I was there?! If it wasn't for me, we'd have been overrun by ghosts and Danielle there wou-“
Danielle: Don't use me to help your case!
Jazz: What about the vegan menu?!
    Sam: It's Ultra-Recycl-
Jazz: IT'S VEGAN! STOP GIVING IT MADE UP NAMES BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE MAINSTREAM TERMS! ALSO, EVEN AFTER YOU ANGERED A GHOST, YOU DIDN'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY! YOU LET A GORILLA OUT AND THREATENED TO SHOW EVERYONE A PICTURE OF TUCKER AND DANNY HUGGING TO KEEP THEM QUIET! YES, I KNOW!
Tucker: For the record, Danny and I just don't want to give people the wrong idea…
Jazz: Oh... and you have the GALL to spy on Danny… TWICE! Considering you lost your temper when he spied on you with a boy you didn't even know for a week!
Sam: That's not the same thing!
    Tucker: Yeah... it is.
    Sam: Whose side are-
Tucker: Not yours right now. Gwen was always kinda cool, you just wanted to pick a fight. Honestly, her having powers was just an excuse for you to turn Danny against her despite it not being a good reason.
Jazz: You know, I used to hope that you and my brother would have gotten together, but now I'm glad that he did that service and met someone like Gwen! You don't deserve him!
    Sam: W… what?!
Jazz: [Shoving Sam’s phone to her] Sam... Take your phone and Get Out!!
[Sam sadly does so in response to the Death Glares Jazz, Tucker, and Danielle are giving her]
  • Shipper on Deck: Ben notes how Gwen favored Danny out of all her blind dates and encouraged him as her choice since it'd give them a good ally and her a great boyfriend.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: Danny's heroic nature and good sense of humor helped convince Gwen she made the right choice in dating him.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Brick was Gwen's first date and his respectful behavior is the reason she didn't leave the program before meeting Danny.
  • Sure, Let's Go with That: When Danny refuses to eat Max's silkworm and scorpion lasagna, he plays along with Max's assumption that he's allergic to silkworms.
  • Suspect Is Hatless: Vlad's description of Gwen (red hair, green eyes, fights evil, and dated Danny) is more descriptive than most examples, but is still so wide a net it captures four girls.
  • Take That!:
    • To Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Chapter 10 features Danny and Gwen not believing Luthor managed to trick them into fighting each other so easily.
    • Deadpool mentions he likes to destroy pachinko machines because, as a gamer, he feels betrayed. This is likely a jab at Konami, who have begun favoring making pachinko games over video games.
  • Third Time's The Charm: Danny and Gwen are each other's third date and they choose each other. The first chapter is even titled "Third Time's the Charm".
  • This Is Reality: In Chapter 8, when Sam says she wants whatever Gwen is having, the waiter tells her, "This isn't a movie". She gives in and makes a choice of her own.
  • The Unishment: Jonesy considers being dragged away by a mall guard a blessing in disguise since it means missing his next shift at the video store that was reopened by Wayne.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Sam. Because she filmed Gwen using her powers and, admittedly by accident, dropped her phone where the Guys in White found it, this led to Danny being unable to get Danielle a cure from Ben before the Omnitrix broke. Coupled with Vlad deciding to use the scenario to his advantage when he learns about the Omnitrix by making Danny's parents think Gwen is a threat and locking the entire city down during Vilgax's challenge to Ben. Danielle even tells Sam that if she had just admitted what happened earlier, phone or no phone, they wouldn't be in as much trouble as they are.
  • Villain Team-Up: Chapter 10 features Vlad and Vilgax teaming up. Vlad already has plans to double-cross Vilgax.
  • What Does She See in Him?: Sam wonders why an overachiever like Gwen would want a C-student like Danny, who is also a year younger to boot, as her boyfriend. Later, she tries to use this as justification for her suspicions of Gwen, but Danny is rightfully hurt that she believes Gwen is too shallow to ever notice him.

TMDDF: After the Dates: Danny and Violet
  • Abhorrent Admirer: Paulina is still this to Danny as he absolutely refuses to have anything to do with her anymore.
  • Adaptational Heroism: The Underminer is a victim of Screenslaver's mind control rather than a genuine villain as he is in canon.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: At Edna Mode’s fashion show, Paulina tells Danny to act like he doesn’t know her because she doesn’t want to associate with him there. When Edna invites Danny backstage, Paulina tries to convince him to let her come along, only for Danny to remind her that he doesn’t know her.
  • Brutal Honesty: When Paulina shamelessly tries to bribe Tucker with a date so he can get her into Edna Mode’s fashion show or at least put in a good word for her with the designer, Tucker tells Paulina to her face that dating her would be a step-down from dating Velma Dinkley due her unbearably unpleasant Alpha Bitch attitude.
  • Dramatically Missing the Point: Syndrome returns as a ghost, happily declaring himself now a superhero with powers. Everyone is quick to tell him he misunderstands that superpowers do not make a person a superhero, and how he's gotten actual heroes killed to satisfy his ego and look like one.
  • Entitled Bitch: Paulina has the gall to tell Danny to put in a good word for her to Edna Mode at the fashion show, but he reminds her that he doesn’t know her because she made it clear she refuses to associate with him by telling Danny to act like he doesn’t know her. Then, he and Tucker refuse Paulina's offer for a date in exchange because they already have girlfriends and hate her.
  • Everyone Has Standards:
    • Danny is disgusted that Paulina would be shameless enough to offer to go on a date with him in front of his girlfriend Violet just so he will get Paulina into Edna Mode’s fashion show and wastes no time in rejecting her.
    • Paulina’s parents spoil her but don’t approve of her trying to score dates with Danny and Tucker just to get into a fashion show since the boys already have girlfriends. They force their daughter to apologize to Danny and Tucker before dragging her home to punish her.
    • Tucker instantly refuses Paulina’s offer of a date in exchange for him getting her into Edna's fashion show since he’s already dating Velma and finds Paulina’s bitchy attitude too unbearable.
    • Paulina's parents also drag their daughter away by the ear and punish her at home for making a scene at a public conference when she bothers Danny again despite him making it clear he doesn’t like her and is already dating Violet.
  • Fair-Weather Foe: Paulina refuses to associate with Team Phantom unless it’s to get something from them, like an invitation into Edna Mode’s fashion show. They don’t appreciate this and reject her on the spot.
  • Never My Fault: Syndrome refuses to admit he's gotten heroes killed and how his attempt to fake his way to stardom only made him a villain.
  • P.O.V. Sequel: The first chapter shows Violet's view of the date from her perspective.
  • Shallow Cannot Comprehend True Love: Paulina is surprised that Tucker would rather date a nerdy bookworm like Velma Dinkley over a mean popular girl like herself.
  • Turned Off By The Jerkass: Even Tucker doesn’t want anything to do with Paulina anymore, especially when he starts dating Velma, since he immediately refuses Paulina’s offer for a date in exchange for getting her into Edna Mode’s fashion show.
  • Wasted Beauty: Neither Danny and Tucker would go out with someone as unbearably mean as Paulina despite her good looks even if they didn’t already have girlfriends.
  • Where Did We Go Wrong?: Dash's father makes it clear that he wants his son to make more of an effort to have some kind of future and is thoroughly disappointed in his behavior when applying for an internship that he all but forced him to take.

TMDDF: After Many Dates: Danny and Phantasma
  • Abhorrent Admirer: Sydney Poindexter is pinning for Phantasma, to her displeasure.
  • Arbitrary Skepticism: Averted. In Chapter 17, when Tucker asks what makes Mystery, Inc. so sure the monster they're looking for isn't real, Velma says it'd have likely been found years ago. In spite of "his encounters with the supernatural", Tucker admits she has a point.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Even though they're dating, Phantasma is a bit too clingy with Danny.
  • Cute Ghost Girl: Danny sees Phantasma as this far more than he does Ember.
  • The Dreaded: Even Phanty's Dad, who was established as an example of this in the original fic, wouldn't pick a fight with the Fright Knight.
  • Elvis Lives: In order to hide it from her father she's dating Danny, Phantasma tells him of a rumor about Elvis' new album.
The Phantom: And they say the king is dead. He's never been more alive. Let me know when it's out.
  • Exact Words: In exchange for his help against Vlad and the Shredder, Danny says he won't suck the Box Ghost into a Fenton Thermos every time they meet. It doesn't mean Danny will no longer do it at all.
  • For Halloween, I Am Going as Myself: Danny takes advantage of Halloween to go on a date with Phanty in Amity Park as Phantom. It helps there are people wearing Danny Phantom costumes.
  • Facepalm: Tucker's reaction to Danny still being oblivious to Sam's feelings.
  • Internal Reveal: Tucker learns that Shaggy was once a teacher at the school Phantasma attends.
  • Interspecies Romance: Danny is only half ghost and is dating the fully-ghost Phantasma.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: As Sam points out, even if the Fenton Anti-Creep Stick is "just a bat with the word 'Fenton' on it", she still can hurt people with it.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • To the Danny Phantom theme song. Phantasma is described as "much more unique than the other gals".
    • In Chapter 15, Phanty and her friends check a list of Danny's other dates. Phanty says Kara would probably be his first pick and she'd be his sixth. Kara is his chosen girl in the first spin-off and Phanty is in the sixth one.
  • Noodle Incident: One of Sam's failed attempts to stalk Danny and Phantasma results in something that makes her shudder whenever she's told the Care-Bear company is looking for a new poster girl.
  • Not So Above It All: The Phantom's got a soft spot for Elvis despite how menacing he makes himself appear.
  • Oblivious to Love: Danny remains oblivious to Sam's feelings for him in spite of Tucker's expectations that his dating experience would teach him how to pick up on the signs.
  • The Rival: Phantasma and Spectra Vondergeist are both rivals for more than just Danny's affections.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: During the Masters' Blasters' first battle against Danny, Download and Thrash decide they're "not getting paid enough for this" and leave.
  • Smooch of Victory: After Phantasma and Ember fight.
  • Spit Take: When Lady Christine mentions Phanty's Dad, it'd have caused Danny to react that way "if he had taken a sip of his drink".
  • Worth It: In Chapter 4, Tucker decides teasing Sam over her crush on Danny "was worth anything she could dish out".

TMDDF: After Many Dates: Danny and Kitty
  • Actor Allusion: In Chapter 44, Dash notices Cree Lincoln sounds like Valerie. From "Shades of Gray" onwards, Valerie is voiced by Cree Summer, who also voices Cree Lincoln.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Instead of ending up with their respective canon love interests, Jake Long and Sabrina Spellman end up with each other.
  • Adaptational Villainy: In this fic, Jack Smith is a HYDRA agent.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Thanks to Clockwork's meddling (because he was tired of seeing Sam become a Clingy Jealous Girl and strain her friendship with Danny in various other timelines), Sam is introduced to Barry from How I Met Your Mother, who talks her into being a supportive friend towards Danny's relationship with Kitty.
  • Adaptational Badass: Sam becomes a superhero called “Black Thorn” with the ability to control plants after being kidnapped by the Floronic Man.
  • And Now You Must Marry Me: In chapter 55, Danny is kidnapped by Katie's evil self, who threatens his family unless he marries her.
  • Blackmail: In this fic, Mr. Lancer only favors the A-listers because someone, later revealed to be Dash's mother, is blackmailing him into doing so.
  • But for Me, It Was Tuesday: Deadpool comments that, with the supervillains of all franchises used in this fic, the world is in danger every Tuesday.
  • Canon Character All Along: Mr. Hyde is one of the clones featured in "Kindred Spirits".
  • Cassandra Truth: Johnny 13 doesn't believe it when Danny tells him his girlfriend just happens to have the same name as Johnny's until Johnny meets Kitty Pride.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl:
    • In Chapter 8, Sam meets someone who talks her out of that mentality. Clockwork is the one who sets events to make them meet.
    • Just like in the original story, Katie is still in love with Danny and she does not take the fact that he is dating Kitty well, AT ALL. Though she does try to get over Danny later in the story, an obsessive split personality she's developed thanks to an emotional modulator mixing with her powers prevents her from doing so.
  • Continuity Nod: During a battle in Chapter 12, Manny's head gets hurt so much he wonders if he ended "up in the afterlife again". That's a nod to El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera episode "The Grave Escape".
  • Continuity Snarl: Both Danny and Katie remember Katie first transforming when Danny took her out to dinner and him having to protect Dash Baxter from her. In the actual story, Katie transformed much earlier and Danny kept her from transforming during that time.
  • Didn't Think This Through:
    • In Chapter 34, the Guys in White repurposed a Sentinel and reprogrammed it to pursue ghosts. Given their goal was to capture Danny for experiments, they should've checked if the Sentinel was programmed to capture or destroy its targets.
    • During one of the times Danny and Kitty broke up, Bobby Drake and Kurt Wagner locked them inside a closet hoping it'd force them to reconcile, not remembering that Danny and Kitty can turn intangible.
  • Don't Create a Martyr: Mr. Hyde wants revenge against Danny but won't kill him for that very reason.
  • Entitled to Have You: Katie's evil self has this attitude towards Danny.
  • Evil Will Fail: In Chapter 26, Kenshin's sword is being displayed at a museum, and the Silver Samurai, not knowing it's a reverse-blade sword that can't be used to kill, tries to steal it so he can become more powerful.
  • Exact Words: When Technus asks if he may ask why Mr. Hyde wants vengeance on Danny, Hyde says Technus can ask but he won't tell.
  • Fantastic Racism: The Guys in White and some bullies hate mutants.
  • Freudian Excuse: Chapter 31 provides an explanation for Danny erasing his parents' memories of him being Phantom in "Reality Trip". The Bad Future from "The Ultimate Enemy" made him afraid they'd be killed as a result of them knowing his secret and seeing Jack die in the Bad Present from "Masters of all Time" didn't help matters.
  • Guilt by Association Gag: When the Guys in White attack Danny Fenton in a public place after his Secret Identity is exposed, they have no regard for innocent bystanders, claiming they would've left before the attack if they were really innocent.
  • Has a Type: Danny thinks this of Jake upon visiting a reality where the latter's dating Rose instead of Sabrina.
  • Hero of Another Story:
    • Chapter 8 reveals why Batman didn't show up to rescue Sam and her parents when they were abducted in Gotham. He, Superman, and Wonder Woman were in Metropolis fighting a team of supervillains led by Lex Luthor.
    • Danny and Kitty enter the reality where he chose Kim. Because it takes place while that dimension's version of Danny and Kim are fighting Thanatos, they're too busy to help against Apocalypse.
  • Heroism Won't Pay the Bills: In Chapter 72, it's revealed Bobby is studying to become a teacher because being an X-Man "wasn't going to pay the bills but being a teacher could".
  • I'm a Doctor, Not a Placeholder: Lance Thunder has "a minor degree in investigative journalism" but he's "a weatherman, not Lois Lane".
  • Innocently Insensitive: Due to being Locked Out of the Loop by both parties, Kitty has no idea what went down between Danny and Katie or the fact that Katie still loves Danny and is heartbroken by and jealous of their relationship. She (obliviously) tells Katie that if she and Danny got to know each other, they could like each other (as friends). Katie did not take it well.
  • Internal Reveal: Kitty learns Supergirl is one of the girls Danny met in the dating service.
  • Irony:
    • Tucker briefly thinks Kitty is a mutant-hating bigot.
    • After Danny Fenton is exposed as Danny Phantom, Sam's parents decide to try to get them back together even if she's already moved on.
    • When Danny and Kitty visit Gravity Falls in the reality where Danny chose Wendy, Kitty disguises Danny since he's the only one of them who's been there before. That reality's Sam recognizes Kitty as Shadowcat.
Danny: And you were worried about me getting recognized.
    • When Tucker and Bonnie first met, she quickly rejected him as a loser. Nowadays, he's a wealthy CEO and she's a janitor who once tried to flirt with him in front of Velma. In canon, Bonnie had mocked Kim for having a janitornote  as a career counselor.
  • Lack of Empathy: When the Guys in White reprogram a Sentinel to hunt ghosts and are called out for endangering innocent people, one of them says they wouldn't have stayed in the same restaurant as Danny (already exposed as Phantom by this point) and mutants aren't innocent.
  • Legacy Character: Someone takes over Timmy Turner's role as The Masked Magician.
  • Lightning Can Do Anything: Adom became the first halfa after being struck by lightning while wearing a rock from the ghost zone around his neck.
  • Lust Object: Danny is this to several females, one of them being Katie.
  • Mad Love: [When Stryker stuck a mood-affecting modulator on Katie, combined with the nature of her powers, it created a split personality that refused to let her get over Danny. This results in "Evil Katie" taking over Katie's mind in Chapter 55 and trying to force Danny to be with her.
  • Married in the Future: Chapter 8 shows Clockwork seeing a future where Danny and Kitty are married and Sam and Danny are happy as Just Friends, complete with Danny being godfather to Sam's child.
  • Meaningful Rename: Jazz renames Mr. Hyde "Henry" because the original Mr. Hyde is the alter ego of Dr. Henry Jekyll.
  • Mistaken for Cheating:
    • In Chapter 13, Johnny thinks Danny's having an affair with his girlfriend instead of having a girlfriend with the same name. The misunderstanding is finally cleared when Johnny meets Kitty Pride in Chapter 20.
    • In Chapter 65, Danny and Kitty avoid being seen together in the reality where his counterpart chose Kim Possible to prevent that kind of mistake.
  • My Friends... and Zoidberg: Danny refers to the people turned by Apocalypse into horsemen as "[his] friends and Shiro".
  • Mythology Gag:
    • Skulker says he calculated a 61% chance Danny would end up with Supergirl. That's the percentage of votes Kara got when the original fic's readers decided who they wanted Danny to end up with.
    • When the concept of the multiverse is introduced in this fic, Clockwork tells Danny they're in the Seventh Earth. This fic is the seventh story based on an ending of the original fic.
  • Never My Fault:
    • Vicky blames Timmy for her being banned from the dating service, not getting a rich guy, and not getting refunded. It doesn't matter to her that she ditched her dates upon learning they didn't meet her standards and, as Timmy points out, "teenage guys have taste". She blames Timmy just because she was babysitting him when she learned of the dating service.
    • Dash is unwilling to accept it's his own behavior that made the girls he met at the dating service dislike him, instead accusing Tucker of hacking the dating service's website to give him bad dates.

  • Overly Narrow Superlative: Danny describes Lance Thunder as "the best reporter in the city" and "the only one who hasn't run for the hills".

    • Mr. Sinister is the one who restored Mr. Hyde.
    • Chris is Star's cousin.

  • Rule of Three: In Chapter 38, Freakshow gains control of the Disasteroid and uses it to threaten nations into giving him billions. He gives them three days to pay.
  • Same Surname Means Related: Parodied. When Tucker and Richie Foley introduce themselves to each other, the latter says he should've recognized the former as another Foley because of their "similarities".
  • Secret Test of Character: Mr. Lancer tells Danny the answer key the latter stole in The Ultimate Enemy was a fake that Lancer and other vice principals before him use to trick students. Lancer says that, if Danny went along with his cheating, all answers would be wrong, he'd get a two-week suspension, would be forced to retake the test afterwards and his grade would be one letter lower as punishment for the cheating.
  • Seen It All: After all the girls he dated, Danny's willing to believe the rumors about Ms. Tetslaff having thermal vision.
  • Service Sector Stereotypes: Mr. Lancer doesn't really believe those stereotypes. He just plays along to scare students into taking their studies seriously.

  • Underestimating Badassery: In Chapter 24, Maddie challenges Antonio to a spar with wooden swords upon learning of his Samurai hobby and the Fentons expect her to have an easy win. While she does win, he makes it hard enough that Danny figures out he's "battle-hardened, having fought multiple battles" even if he doesn't know who Antonio fought against.
  • Wouldn't Hurt a Child: Jack and Maddie have to remind themselves of this upon learning about Dash's behavior towards Danny.
  • Yandere: Katie, or rather her "evil self", is willing to go to any lengths, including threats and kidnapping, in order to have Danny all to herself.

    • Makoto lets Danny use the name "Lita", liking how he says it.
    • Minako's nickname is Mina and she lets Danny use it.
    • While technically not a nickname, Makoto refers to Danny as "Danny-kun". Danny admits that he likes how she says it.
  • Age-Gap Romance: While the age gap is not as bad as it could've been (Mamoru is 18 and Usagi is 15), the American Danny is still slightly uncomfortable when he learns that the adult Mamoru is dating a girl who's just starting high school.

    • Danny and Makoto almost share their first kiss at the restaurant before Esmeraude attacks.
    • At the park, a kiss almost happens between Ben and Ami, which is interrupted by Skulker.
  • Ambiguously Gay: Much like in canon, Tsumugi "Mugi" Kotobuki shows more interest in girls than boys. While most of the girls in Afterschool Tea Time think Danny is cute, she merely ponders and responds with "I suppose so." At the beach, she's paying more attention to Makoto and Minako than Danny. Upon seeing Ember, Mugi describes her as beautiful and has an oddly fond smile on her face while doing so.
  • Anguished Declaration of Love: Danny makes one to Makoto while she's upset at him for hiding from her that he's Danny Phantom and knew her secret ever since their first date.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Four out of the five Sailor Guardians make a wish at the well Desiree is hiding at. Keeping a low profile, Desiree makes the wishes less dangerous when they backfire, but they backfire nonetheless.
    • Usagi wishes for free food and gets a box full of burgers. Said burgers were from a restaurant with contaminated meats, giving her food poisoning.
    • Rei wishes for more visitors to the shrine. Said visitors were drunks mistaking the shrine for a festival with free food and drinks, then left their garbage when they realized it was not.
    • Minako wishes for a handsome young man to take an interest in her, which one does. Said man turned out to be a pervert who desired her for less than romantic interests, causing her to punch his teeth out.
    • Makoto wished to make a wonderful dinner for Danny. She managed to get ideal ingredients at a reasonable price and managed to prepare most of it with great speed, only for malfunctions in her kitchen to set all of it on fire and leave them burnt and inedible.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me:
    • Since Usagi was nice enough to ward off an attacker for him by shouting for the police, Danny decided to prank her little brother Shingo after seeing him be an obnoxious brat to her by making him think he saw a ghost.
    • Ami developed feelings for Ben because he was nice to her, wished her luck in becoming a doctor and defended her from Cash and JT. He also saved her life and trusted her with knowledge of the Omnitrix.
  • Berserk Button: Other than bullies, Makoto also hates people who disrespect those who work in the service industry like Mr. Lancer did when he used Irving Burns's dead-end job at the Nasty Burger as something students must avoid.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Danny suddenly showing up to save the Sailor Guardians from Esmeraude's attack.
  • The Big Damn Kiss:
    • It's after Danny admits to Makoto that he loves her that she not only tells him she loves him too, but they have their first kiss.
    • Chapter 22, after Ben and Ami open up about past experiences that traumatized them, they share a kiss.
  • Bland-Name Product: In Chapter 19, this is a staple of anime that is parodied. When Ben, Danny, Ami, and Makoto discuss restaurant options, Ami suggests WcDonalds. Danny and Ben, likely aware of the real-world restaurant, are left confused.
Danny: Did you just say McD-
    Ami: WcDonald's.
    Ben: Wc?
    Ami: Yeah... why?
Makoto: There's also MgRonald's, WkDonaid's and MacRonnell... Uh... you two okay?

  • Comical Overreacting: In chapter 22, during a trip to Japan, Hank Hill is horrified to discover a Dallas Cowboy Jersey vandalized with charcoal, courtesy of Deadpool
  • Cooldown Hug: Ami hugs Ben to prevent him from using the Ultimatrix while under the effects of the dust that makes him see Malware and it snaps him out of it. Justified, as Ben has been hugged by Ami before and can tell it isn't the same as when Malware attacked him.
  • Dance of Romance: Danny and Makoto share one during their date at Midori Cafe. Makoto says it's rare for girls her height to meet somebody willing to dance with them.
  • Dating Catwoman: Upon learning Ember's age, Minako asks if Danny has a crush on her and compares it to Batman and Catwoman.

  • Didn't Think This Through: When Danny decided to use the Infi-Map to visit Makoto, he forgot to give the map any instructions more specific than taking him to Japan.
  • Dislikes the New Guy: Due to a misunderstanding, Mamoru doesn't act friendly with Danny. The feeling is mutual.
  • Does He Have a Brother?: Minako asks Makoto if Danny has an identical twin brother. She repeats the question after Danny chooses Makoto. When she finally asks him, Danny tells her he has no male relatives in their age range, much to her disappointment. She starts to think this about Ben as well.
  • Dramatic Irony:
    • Currently unaware Danny Fenton and Amity Park's superhero are one and the same, Makoto gives Minako the okay to hit on Danny Phantom if she meets him, unaware she's telling one of her best friends to steal her boyfriend.
    • James Possible expresses disapproval at Kim going on blind dates and questions what kind of boy she would bring home. In another timeline, he would have gotten along with her chosen boy before knowing about their connection to Kim and would remain liking him.
    • Ben wonders who Kim Possible, along with other dates like Barbara Gordon and Angelica Pickles, chose as their match instead of him. Ami is at least aware Kim went out with Danny, though the readers already know he also went out with the other two.
    • As Ben's appearance is set before Omniverse, he is still under the belief Malware is dead.

    • When Danny reassures his parents that "Jazz will have family around her all times" when she's going to check colleges, he means his clone instead of himself.
    • Danny instructs the Infi-Map to take him to Japan so he can see Makoto. He realizes after ending up on a beach he never specified an exact location.
    • Makoto's wish in Desiree's presence was to make a great dinner for Danny. She managed to do just that... though her wish never mentioned anything about eating it.
  • First Kiss: Chapter 13 has one between Danny and Makoto.
  • First Love: In canon, Mio never showed any interest in dating, much less having a boyfriend. Though it's a quick crush, Danny is the first boy she's ever shown any interest in.
  • Forgiveness: Although she never truly resented Ben for not picking her, Ami tells him that even if she were upset, she forgives him.
  • Girlfriend in Canada: Mr. Lancer briefly thinks this is the case with Danny and Makoto.

  • I'll Take Two Beers Too: When Jazz and Dani go to JP Bearymore's, the latter orders three extra large pizzas with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and chicken and asks if Jazz wants anything.
  • Idiots Cannot Catch Colds: In Chapter 5, some characters are catching colds and Luna holds it not happening to Artemis as a reason to believe in the superstition. She wasn't quiet enough to prevent him from hearing her comment.
  • In the Blood: When Jazz pulls Sam away for a private talk (regarding Sam's opposition towards Danny visiting Makoto), Danielle is as clueless to the reason as Danny is and Tucker believes it's because Danielle is Danny's clone.
  • Internal Reveal:
    • At the end of chapter 12, Danny transforms in front of the Sailor Guardians to save them from an attack.
    • Both Danny and Ben confess their most traumatizing secrets to their respective love interests in chapter 22. Ben about Malware and Danny about his evil future self.
  • Jerkass to One: Makoto is one of the Inner Guardians who is hostile towards Ben over not picking Ami, even after Ami herself made it clear she has no ill will towards him.
  • "Just Joking" Justification: Upon meeting Makoto, Kevin says he "should've taken that program after all". Seeing Gwen glare at him for the comment prompts him to say he's "just kidding".
  • Language Barrier: Because of Danny's poor Japanese, he has a hard time speaking with various people. Eiko and Fu, the latter being quickly smitten with him, have a very poor grasp of English, making it difficult to speak with him. Thankfully, he keeps finding people who can speak enough English to speak with him.

  • Maybe Magic, Maybe Mundane: Played for Laughs. Danny questions how the Sailor Guardians still have their secret identities when they don't conceal their faces or change their actual physical appearances like he does. Luna suggests that it's magic while Artemis jokes humans are just that thick. Ben later shows up and only recognizes Ami as Sailor Mercury when he's Brainstorm and the theory is brought up once more, with suggestions either Ben was unaffected by the supposed magic thanks to being an alien or that Brainstorm was just too intelligent to fool.
  • Minor Living Alone: Makoto, due to her parents being deceased, lives alone. Danny stays with her during his time in Japan.
  • Must Make Amends: Ben, partially because he felt bad for learning she was saddened for not getting picked by him and some interest he does have in her, goes with Ami on a date to make up for it.
  • Mythology Gag:
  • Named by the Adaptation: Makoto's parents, who were unnamed, are called Hiroshi and Emiko "Emi" Kino. Her mother is named after her original seiyuu, Emi Shinohara, whose husband is named Hiroshi Watari.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: When Danny decides to go to Japan to meet Makoto, he borrows the Infi-Map, which had been sent to Clockwork's lair for safekeeping. That lair is one of the few places in the Ghost Zone that Skulker, fearing eternal imprisonment, would never break into even with Vlad tasking him to locate the map. The Box Ghost later saw Danny using the map to find a portal to Japan and told Skulker about it.

  • Pet the Dog:
    • Mr. Lancer gives Danny detention but still offers to help him write a love poem for Makoto.
    • To Hank's credit, he at least apologized to Ami for snapping at her, just because Ben turned him down in favor of using charcoal.

  • Amazon Chaser: Danny falls in love with Barbara Gordon, who is also Badass Normal Batgirl.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: When Kalibak finds out Only the Chosen May Wield Mjolnir, he tries to test his luck by demanding the hammer come to him. It does... because Thor tossed it at his face.
  • Character Development:
    • The side story reveals that Katie Kaboom got a ton of this offscreen, as well as in the universes where Danny chose Alex and Violet. By the time Danny meets her again, she is completely over her obsessive crush on him and is a mature, dedicated X-Men who is in a stable, loving relationship with Bobby Drake and has helped the X-Men save the world numerous times from the Sentinels (Days of Future Past) and Apocalypse (90's X-Men, End and Beginning).
    • Also Sam in the same story. After Barbara and Danielle inform her of Danny's dilemma over Katie's wedding invitation, she calls to advise him to keep an open mind about Katie; Sam points out that Danny was willing to forgive and offer the former another chance despite her stalking him and Barbara, and didn't really get to know Katie.
  • Daddy's Girl: Barbara is very close to her father, James Gordon.

  • P.O.V. Sequel: The first chapter is the date from Barbara's perspective.

It ends when she reassures him her only concern is that her being seen with both Phantom and Fenton would jeopardize his secret identity.
  • No Guy Wants an Amazon: Starfire says that, among the boys she met through the dating service, those she "did not get along with were afraid to be seen as normal humans with a powerful alien".
  • P.O.V. Sequel: The first chapter is the date from Starfire's perspective.
  • Right for the Wrong Reasons: Danny fears Starfire won't want to be seen with him when he's Fenton because his human half is a loser. Starfire's true reason for concern, as she explains to Danny, is that being seen as romantically involved with both Fenton and Phantom would risk exposing his secret identity.

TMDDF: After Many Dates: Danny and Jen
  • Age-Gap Romance: Downplayed as Jen is 16 and is dating Danny, who is 14. Both Danny's sister and Jen's friends are surprised.
  • Arbitrary Skepticism: Some 6teen characters doubt Danny Phantom really exists in spite of believing in superheroes like the Avengers. Subverted because the Avengers appear on the news while the 6teen characters have only seen photos of Danny Phantom, and it's been a few weeks ever since they came to Amity Park and they didn't see any ghosts.

  • Read the Fine Print: Jonesy didn't and it allows him to work at the dating service for one week. He loses any objections upon learning how much he'll be paid to do it.
  • Saw It in a Movie Once: When the Snippet based on the timeline where Danny chooses Jen is adapted into this spinoff, it's revealed that falsely accusing Danny and Jen of stealing his tickets is an idea Dash got from a movie. BeConFuzzled Writer says the movie was Detroit Rock City.

    • Agent Alpha when he learns about the underhanded things Agents O and K did to get the Fentons' ghost portal. Rather than try and bail them out, he leaves them to rot in SHIELD custody and takes an early retirement in an effort to make amends for letting them get out of hand.

TMDDF: After Many Dates: Danny Chooses Musa

TMDDF: After Many Dates:Danny and Spectra
  • Admiring the Abomination: Spectra doesn’t mind Bill Cipher's madness. Though she still doesn’t like him terrorizing people.
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: In the original Monster High lore, it's said that Spectra barely remembers her past, though it's suggested she was human once. Here, she is shown to live with her parents who are also ghosts, and it's implied that she was "born" a ghost.

  • Cute Ghost Girl: Spectra Vondergeist.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Spectra has shades of this, particularly around Sam and Wendy, but the latter ends up becoming her friend.
  • Dissonant Serenity: Due to her monster heritage, Spectra doesn't find Bill Cipher's "redecorating" of Gravity Falls horrifying, only cool. She's more concerned with getting good pictures. Not that it stops her from helping Danny and the others defeat Bill.
  • The Dreaded: Danny is left shaken after his encounter with Bill Cipher to the point where Spectra gives him a special dream catcher so he doesn't have nightmares about Bill. Danny also starts looking for a therapist because he sees the demon everywhere. Bill probably scares Danny even more than Katie Kaboom!
  • Eldritch Abomination: Bill Cipher and his interdimensional goons that invade Gravity Falls are noted to be bizarre even by monster standards. Danny and Spectra end up visiting the place around the same time as the events of the show's finale, "Wierdmageddon".
  • Fantastic Racism: The divide between humans and monsters is greatly discussed here. Danny is afraid to introduce Spectra to his parents because they hunt ghosts, Danny gets some backlash in his human form when he visits Monster High, and Sam doesn't like Spectra referring to her as a "normie" due to being a normal human physically.
  • Hidden Depths: The normally shy Spectra becomes more straightforward when presented with a good scoop.
  • Mistaken for Prank Call: When Jack and Maddie tried to call Danny in Gravity Falls, they received messages saying they "had reached an alternate dimension where meat bags are being driven insane". They thought those messages were pranks.
