     In General
  • Crossover: Technically of Danny Phantom with DeathBattle, but it means Danny ends up interacting with characters from different franchises he's not familiar with, such as Dragon Ball, Darkstalkers, etc.
  • Deconstruction: Of Death Battle's Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny concept. It's shown by not just Danny but other characters they're not fond of being pitted against each other out of nowhere in a fight to the death.
  • Normal Fish in a Tiny Pond: On his Earth, Danny's one of the most powerful beings on it. When compared to most fighters on other worlds, namely Dragonball and Darkstalkers, he's average at best.

     The Destroyer
  • Ambiguous Situation: It's never clear if Danny really is using Ultra Instinct or it was a coincidence.
  • Berserk Button: Beerus comes close to almost wiping out all life just for being disrespected and Danny works hard to avoid provoking his temper.
  • Big Eater: Beerus the Destroyer, and his assistant Whis, eat enough to put Nasty Burger out of stock for a whole day and leaving Danny with an enormous bill.
  • Bullying a Dragon: Many characters, including Sam, learn harshly NOT to provoke Beerus.
  • Did Not Think This Through: Vlad attempted to overshadow Beerus to gain his power, not recognizing that it might not work against a being from a completely different universe... or the fact that as a god, Beerus is too powerful for him to control.
  • Malicious Misnaming: Beerus, either genuinely forgetting or out of a lack of respect, never uses Sam, Tucker or Jazz's real names.
  • Pals with Jesus: Downplayed. Danny doesn't consider him a friend, but Beerus at least parts on good terms with him.
  • Worthy Opponent: By his own admission, Beerus sees some potential in Danny since, despite the clear gap in power, he was able to survive long in their battle.

     The Werewolf

  • Abhorrent Admirer: BB Hood takes a quick liking to Danny Phantom, finding him somewhat attractive and stealing a kiss from him, much to his dismay. Due to her violent nature, lack of boundaries, unstable mindset and clearly evil intentions, Danny is horrified by her and rejects her advances. It says something that he's more accepting of the affections of Lilith Aensland, a demon, and Hsien-Ko Shao, a Chinese Vampire, over BB Hood.
  • Amazon Chaser: Although slightly uncomfortable with Hsien-Ko and Lilith fighting over them, Danny sees them in action and thinks they're cool.
  • Ambiguously Human: Danny questions just how BB Hood could be human, given how she survives impacts and hits a normal human would suffer broken bones from.
  • Badass Normal: BB Hood is skilled enough to go toe-to-toe with Danny Phantom.
  • Big Brother Mentor: Jon starts to train Danny in martial arts after the two become friends.
  • Bigot with a Crush: BB Hood hates all supernatural creatures and enjoys hunting them, but likely due to him being half-human, she becomes rather fond of Danny. This is not a good thing for him...
  • The Charmer: Prior to meeting Jon, Danny had been briefly involved with Sailors Jupiter and Mercury, Ty Lee and Mina Ashido. During the story, he catches the interests of Lilith and Hsien-ko, interests he returns and doesn't show any discomfort over being a demon or the undead respectively. He doesn't try to be seductive or anything, he's just being genuinely nice to them.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Most of the Darkstalkers featured are not evil in the slightest. While some may be dark, BB Hood(a human), is clearly one of the most morally bankrupt characters in the series.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Morrigan is a seductive succubus who enjoys the company of human men, but she refrains from hitting on Danny because he's a minor. She's not against Lilith, who is physically the same age as him, doing the same.
  • He Is Not My Boyfriend:
    • Morrigan denies that she has any romantic feelings toward a human. She claims Jack is just her favorite human she spends time with.
    • Felicia and Jon deny any sort of attraction between the two. Danny and Morrigan don't buy it.
  • Hopeless Suitor: Tucker tries a bit too hard to get Lilith's attention, but she only has eyes for Danny.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Danny finds it hilarious Jon denies having an attraction to Felicia, unaware he's oblivious to Sam's feelings for him.
  • Interspecies Romance: Danny is a half-human and half-ghost, and doesn't mind being romantically sought after by a cutesy demon girl or a clumsy jiangshi warrior.
  • Irony: The most human character from the world of the Darkstalkers is a violent monster, while most of the actual monsters are actually rather amiable. This is even apparent with Danny's new admirers, as he treats a young succubus and a teenage Jiangshi as potential girlfriends over Hood.
  • Not So Above It All: Both Jazz and Sam can't help but admire how handsome Jon's human form is, especially his abs.
  • Pet the Dog: Literal, as BB Hood is much sweeter to her dog than even the boy she's attracted to.
  • Shipper on Deck:
    • Danny doesn't buy Jon's claims that he and Felicia are just friends, especially given how they interact with each other.
    • Morrigan is quickly accepting of Lilith's crush on Danny, calling him her potential future brother-in-law.
    • Even before Hsien-Ko becomes fond of him, Mei-Ling teasingly suggests she ask Danny out. She's very accepting when Hsien-Ko is willing to fight Lilith over him.
    • BB Hood's dog, Harry, gives her the idea that her crush on Danny is a good thing, since he hopes Danny would be a positive influence. Much to his displeasure, she gets the wrong idea to try and corrupt him.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: Unlike the violent BB Hood who takes pleasure in terrifying him, both Lilith and Hsien-Ko have much healthier interests in Danny, admiring for his strength and noble qualities.
    • Regretting that she drained a bit of his life energy, Lilith becomes rather infatuated with Danny when he chooses to forgive her and accepts her as a friend.
    • Hsien-Ko is at first not interested in Danny due to him being 2 years younger than her. However, after he compliments her and admits she's cool, coupled with saving her at two points, she becomes very fond of him.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Unlike the UDON comic, Jack (Not Danny's father) did not end up having his soul eaten by Morrigan. Instead, the two appeared to be close before she broke things off for his safety.
  • Token Human: BB Hood is the only non-Darkstalker to enter Danny's world.
  • Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: B.B. Hood is the same age as Danny, but she freely admits to doing things like smoking cigarettes and has no problem using bladed weapons ready to potentially stab people to death just for annoying her. She also admits to her dog she wouldn't mind having Danny's kids, and her idea of molding them into being Darkhunters like her leave terrifying implications.
  • Truer to the Text: Morrigan Aensland is much closer to her game counterpart from both canon and Capcom crossovers, rather than being unrepentantly evil as she's shown in all depictions outside of them. Despite being a demon who can feast on the life energy of others, she does not harm people. She admits a preference to dreams over souls, likes spending time with humans, and is actually friends with several Darkstalkers than enemies.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Due to his drunkenness, Boomstick accidentally sent Jon Talbain into Danny's world.
  • Younger Than They Look: Hsien-ko and her sister look like adults, but they're actually 16.

     The Reverse-Flash
  • The Dreaded: Eobard Thawne's threat level is extreme enough that even Deadpool takes him serious.
