Trivia / The Many Dates of Danny Fenton

Go To

  • Creator's Pest:
    • Two authors of the other The Many Dates of Danny Fenton stories have a negative view of Sam Manson and Tucker Foley.
      • NeoMark has stated many times that he dislikes Sam as a character and, to a lesser extent, Tucker, and feels their role in the story should be downplayed in favor of other characters. At the beginning of After Many Dates: Danny and Kim, numerous characters comment on how Kim Possible is prettier than Sam and they like her better. It was soon downplayed as NeoMark realized that he went too far and tries to show Sam and Tucker's better traits, but still reduces their role in the story in favor of the other heroes. In NeoMark's other stories, he has been shown trying to balance Sam and Tucker's positive and negative traits and, when they suffer bad luck for their actions, to ensure that they get a lucky break as a reward for doing the right thing.
      • Played straight with Luiz4200. You can tell by his writing that he really hates Sam and Tucker. He puts the two of them through a lot, starting with Sam and Tucker getting caught sneaking into Alex's house. Both are grounded, with Sam's parents cutting her off and forcing her to get a job. Danny also rejects Sam when she confesses her feelings for him. Luiz4200 goes as far as to have Tucker not pursue a relationship with Velma Dinkley in TMDDF: Danny Chooses Alex After the Many Dates so that Tucker can still be humiliated by flirting with other girls. Later downplayed in Luiz4200's other stories, where Sam and Tucker don't suffer as much bad luck and even get a few lucky breaks, like Danny forgiving Sam and Tucker meeting Velma Dinkley in college and getting together with her.
    • Most of the authors do not have the fondest opinions of Family Guy and American Dad!, given how the characters are mocked, harmed, arrested, and even killed and brought back to life before getting a life sentence in their stories. Notably, unlike the other characters the other authors dislike, these characters are never shown with redeeming traits nor getting good fortune.
  • Follow the Leader: After the completion of the main story, two strains of fanfics inspired by it appeared: 1) Crossover Ship stories involving Danny (some, like A Phantom's Ghoul School Sweetheart or A Starstruck, Phantasmic Romance, are written by Flower princess11 herself or authors that were involved with the spinoffs) and 2) The Many Dates of X-fics, where the original is reused for other characters.
  • In Memoriam: In Danny and Wendy, the author dedicates chapters 7 and 8 to a nanny who recently died from COVID-19.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • It came down to either Sabrina or Kara as the girl Danny ultimately chooses due to the number of votes. Kara was chosen, with Sabrina being the runner-up. So, we could've had a sequel focusing on Sabrina instead of Supergirl.
    • In Danny and Kim, the original plan for the final arc was Vlad and the Lorwardians joining forces, just as explained before Dark Danny revealed himself.
    • Chapter 11 of Danny and Wendy ends with a note from Deadpool saying that, during a fight with Skulker that took place in the chapter, Wendy would learn Peter and Kara are Spider-Man and Supergirl, respectively; and Danny and Peter would learn each other's Secret Identity.
