  • Abusive Parents: When Croc gets the fear toxin injected into his body, it causes him to hallucinate all the people that tormented him in his life, including his abusive aunt.
  • Accidental Murder: As Tron tries to get an insane Andrew to let go of a leg of her mech, she succeeds, but in the process flings him way too high into the air, and dies when he falls onto a roof.
  • Actually a Doombot: Rebecca seemingly kills Mr. Big as soon as he starts talking. Unfortunately, the real Mr. Big then shows up with several other copies of himself, the one that she shot was a decoy.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Max Force and Hit Man, the cop duo from the original NARC game, still use the tactics they used in the game, namely shooting everyone that gets in their way and blowing everything to kingdom come in trying to stop druggies and K.R.A.K.. What makes this different than in the games is that they are gunning down people who are clearly innocents for so much as been seen near drugs or 'druggies' and will not listen to reason. In addition, Max Force is revealed to have been let go from the force due to his brutality.
  • Agony of the Feet: Revy accidentally steps on Bad Cop, hurting her paw. This gets them killed when the rockets that Sly dodged head straight for them and they’re unable to get out of the way.
  • An Asskicking Christmas: Unlike the other Arenas that took place in December, the Arena this time is stated to take place around the holidays several times. And when the remaining contestants finally storm the K.R.A.K. Tower, Trans-Siberian Orchestra's 'Carol of the Bells' plays during the assault.
  • Animorphism: A Basky Bug bites Rebecca offscreen, turning her into an anthro rabbit.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Killer Croc uses his wish to help June Moone, aka the Enchantress, for being one of the few people to treat him with kindness.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: D.A.V.E. attempts to become the criminal mastermind of the battle, only to be defeated by Robocop.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Gru freezes Carnage with his freeze ray just as he was about to kill Aak and Waai Fu.
    • Luggins rams a police van into VixZ, hoping to save Robocop. While she failed to save him in time, she did save Freckle's life, who VixZ was just about to kill.
    • One mook manages to grab Tron's mech from behind, intending on throwing it to some explosive barrels. Fortunately that's when Rebecca shows up to kick him in the chest and plants explosives on him, causing him to explode and saving Tron's life.
  • Big "NO!": Strongarm cries one out when Tenpenny's Final Smash destroys Prowl.
    • Carmelita yells one when Max Force kills Sly.
    • Max Force screams one when the hallucinations from Scarecrow's Fear Gas begins to kick in.
  • Big Damn Reunion: At the end of Sly 4, Sly ended up stuck in Ancient Egypt, separated from his friends/team and Carmelita. So when Sly saves Carmelita from getting gunned down by Max Force, they both question if this is a dream, before Carmelita pulls Sly into a big hug. Their reunion is cut short by all the chaos going around in the Bloodbath, forcing them to run and talk later.
  • Big "SHUT UP!": When Killer Croc's sleep gets interrupted by Rebecca fighting Sly and Carmelita, he emerges from the ground, picks up Rebecca by the waist, and yells at them "WILL YOU ALL SHUT IT?! I'm trying to sleep!"
    • Trevor yells at Andrew and Ashley to "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" when he hears Ashley prodding Andrew into guessing who would win the fight between Trevor and Brad.
  • Black-and-White Insanity: To Max Force and Hit Man, anyone seen near any drugs is a 'druggie' and thus must be killed.
  • Blood from the Mouth: When Croc gets stabbed by Scarecrow’s double-sided scythe, blood begins to pool in his mouth and drip down his jaws.
  • Bring It: After Croc is able to overcome the hallucinations of the people who tormented him during his life, he challenges Scarecrow to come down and fight him, unless he's too afraid to do so.
Killer Croc: You cut me deep. You cut me deep with reminding me why I turned my back on humanity." (Lowering his head) I know I’ll always be a freak.
Scarecrow: That’s what your fear? Interesting. Do go on.
Killer Croc: But you know something? I’m afraid, yeah, but I think I’m strong enough to face my fears AND kick your ass at the same time. So, come on down, Crane...or maybe YOU’RE the scared little shit here?
  • The Bus Came Back: Velora, Rouge, Carnage, Lightning Dawn, Carmelita, Shirou, Chief Luggins, Nick, Robocop, Lee, Waai Fu, VixZ, and Gru all return from previous Arenas and side-stories.
    • Back for the Dead: ...with Rouge, Nick, and Lee being some of the first casualties of the episode. In addition, a few of the contestants that were killed in canon are revived to participate in this episode, and they're all dead by the end of it.
  • Boom, Headshot!: Killer Croc finds a homeless addict on the bridge missing an arm begging for someone to help him. Before Croc can reach him, a bullet from Max Force's gun goes through the addict's skull. Max Force also kills several contestants by shooting them in the head.
    • Carnage's head gets blown apart by Judge Dredd when he was about to kill Hit Man and Max Force. He survives this, but has to take a while to reform back. Carmelita later also scores some headshots on him, but they don't do anything to him.
    • Aak is killed by a drugged-up Andrew shooting a bullet into his head.
  • Call-Back: Velora's first line has her hoping that this Arena will be more fun than last time.
  • Calling Your Attacks: Gru yells out "FREEZE RAY!" every time he uses it to freeze Undyne's water spears while they're fighting.
  • Car Fu: Chief Luggins slams a car onto Carnage's head in the Bloodbath. But because of the Symbiote suit, it doesn't do that much damage. She also crashes a police van into VixZ trying to save Robocop's life, but saves Freckle's instead.
  • Catch and Return: In the climax, Croc catches one of the missiles Scarecrow fired at him and tosses it back at him.
  • Caught Monologuing: Rebecca attempts this when she shoots Mr. Big with her shotguns as soon as he starts talking. Unfortunately, the one she shot was a robot duplicate.
  • Caught with Your Pants Down: Goon walks in on Velora masturbating and decides to pretend he didn't see that and walks away.
  • The Cavalry Arrives Late: Justified, as a combination of the Arena's barrier and Mr. Big's forces prevented the cops from entering the city for most of the episode. By the time they are able to get in and reach the K.R.A.K. tower, they arrive just in time to watch Scarecrow fall to his death.
  • Composite Character: Scarecrow's physical design is based on the Injustice 2 incarnation, but has the hat and scythe he has in the comics, and has the syringe glove and the effect of anyone affected by the Fear Toxin making thie eyes glow orange taken from the Arkham Games.
  • Continuity Nod: Prowl's first line in the episode is him recalling that Optimus Prime talking about something similar to the situation he's in now.
  • Crossover Villain-in-Chief: Mr. Big, the Big Bad of the episode and the kingpin of K.R.A.K., whose most notable members of the group include The Son, The Fiends Violet, Driver Nelphi, and Cook-Cook, and his intern, who is later revealed to be Batman villain The Scarecrow.
  • Curse Cut Short: The Son confronts the Intern about the dugs he's making and how it's making everyone go crazy and is about to call him a son of a bitch, but the Intern stabs The Son in the waist with his syringe glove containing fear toxin before he can finish.
  • Death Glare: Sui-Feng gives one to Gru after he accidentally freezes her body with his freeze ray.
  • Defensive "What?": After Rebecca shoots (the fake) Mr. Big with her twin shotguns almost as soon as he started talking, Waai Fu asks if that was really necessary.
Rebecca: What? He was gonna go into an evil monologue. It's boring as fuck to sit through!
  • Dies Wide Open: Sly dies with his eyes wide open after getting his neck broken by Max Force, with Carmelita helping close his eyes after he's dealt with.
  • Disney Villain Death: Scarecrow kills The Son by kicking him out the window of Mr. Big's office.
    • After grievously wounding Nabbit, Max Force kicks out a window on the final floor of the tower.
    • When Scarecrow gets set ablaze by Croc smacking flaming debris into him, in his panic trying to make the fire go out, he tumbles off the edge of the building and falls to his death.
  • Diving Save: Sly tackles Carmelita to the ground just before the bullets from Max Force's gun would have shredded her.
  • Dragon Their Feet: After crashing Mr Big's giant mechanical skull into Scarecrow's helicopter onto the K.R.AK. tower, Mr. Big is killed in the explosion, Scarecrow seemingly is killed in it as well, and Croc emerges out of the rubble victorious. Then Scarecrow emerges from the shadows and makes one final attempt to kill Croc by stabbing him with his dual-bladed scythe.
  • Driven to Madness: Though Max Force survives the episode and is arrested, getting a direct dose of Scarecrow’s Fear Toxin breaks the man's mind so badly that whenever he looks out the window of his cell and sees an actual scarecrow at a nearby farm, it causes him to scream incessantly until he’s sedated.
  • Dropped a Bridge on Him: In the Bloodbath, Lee, Hung, and Gaius are destroyed by grenades, Revy, Bad Cop, Rouge, Big Band, and Animated Prowl are blown up by rockets, Tenpenny guns Nick down, D.A.V.E. falls off the bridge into the sea, shortening out his circuitry, and Lei Beifong gets consumed in fire and shrapnel from the metal cable she was using to get around.
    • Goon finds Gru having frozen to death during the second night.
    • Sui-Feng abruptly dies from falling onto a car.
  • Drugs Are Bad: The plot of this episode is about the contestants having to stop K.R.A.K. from mass-producing a new highly addictive and highly dangerous drug. In the case of Max Force and Hit Man, this gets a big deconstruction as they deem anyone even seen near drugs as 'druggies' and are deserving of immediate death, regardless of the innocence of the people they're shooting at.
  • Dude, Not Funny!: As the Graves siblings are trying to lay low in the Bloodbath, they come across many bodies left behind in the carnage, leading to Ashley joking if Andrew's getting hungry looking at them. Andrew scolds his sister not to make jokes about it.
  • Ear Ache: Undyne catches Nabbit by his ears in their Team Introduction.
  • Evil Versus Evil: When it comes down to the big climatic fight, it's Killer Croc, a member of Batman’s Rogues Gallery, having to fight Mr. Big, the kingpin of K.R.A.K. and Scarecrow, another member of Batman’s rogues gallery. Though Croc’s selfless moments like helping vagrants hide in the sewers from all the chaos in the city makes him clearly the better option to root for.
  • Eye Scream: As Max Force shoots Carmelita in the chest with her shotgun, Carmileta gets one last shot of her shock pistol out, blinding Max Force in one eye.
  • Fantastic Drug: The new drug that the Intern is making for K.R.A.K.; it causes the person taking it to initially experience extreme euphoria and put into a state of bliss. The catch is the side-effect of the drug: After a short while the user is suddenly overcome with hallucinations of their biggest nightmare, potentially even killing them of fright if they don't get another dose fast enough.
  • Fastball Special: When the remaining contestants begin their assault on the K.R.A.K., Tron tosses most of them through several windows of the building.
  • Flat Scare: Scarecrow gives The Son a little "boo." while he's infected with the Fear Toxin, just before kicking him out the window, with The Son screaming as he falls to his death.
  • Flipping the Bird: After Killer Croc interrupts the fight between Rebecca and Sly and Carmelita by yelling at them for interrupting his sleep, Rebecca decides to walk away and flips Sly and Carmelita the double-bird on the way out.
  • Forced Addiction: Of the contestants who end up taking the drug, none of them are explicitly stated to have taken it by their own choice.
  • Getting High on Their Own Supply: Violet and The Son take a dose of the drug at one point, but The Son nearly suffering the side-effects and watching his men succumb to it privies him into realizing that something is wrong with the drugs the Intern is making.
  • Groin Attack: As Nabbit is looting Skye's body, the expression his face is frozen on makes it seem like when his lower body was crushed by the Fiends' tank, he took really bad damage in the groin.
  • Guilt by Coincidence: Essentially everyone that Max Force and Hit Man targets that isn't working for Mr. Big, as regardless of what side of the law they're on or whether they took the drugs willingly or not, the duo will kill them all with extreme prejudice.
  • Harmless Freezing: Sui-Feng, Jenny, and Carnage all get frozen by Gru's freeze ray, and they're able to thaw out just fine eventually.
    • During the Bloodbath, Velora chose to swim to shore to avoid the chaos on the bridge. While she succeeds, her body gets frozen, relying on Goon's body-heat to thaw her out.
  • High-Voltage Death: After taking some drugs to increase his strength, Max Force tosses Undyne into a power line, frying her.
  • Hypocrite: Hit Man, who spent the entire episode gunning down any 'druggies' they could find, openly admits to have been taking drugs the whole time.
  • Killed Mid-Sentence: As a rocket lands in Big Band's tuba and he realizes what's about to happen, only has time to say "Well, this is disappoint-" before it goes off.
    • As Judge Dredd is trying to wade through a crowd of people maddened by the drug, Dredd refuses to use his weapon on them as they're innocent. And as Judge contemplates why he can't, Max Force and Hit Man show up and riddle Dredd full of bullets.
Judge Dredd: They are...innocent. They did not deserve it. I...why can't I...
    • As the remaining contestants opposing Mr. Big are fighting his duplicates and Max Force has now shown up, Waai Fu tries to tell her team "Quick! Get to the other room! Maybe we'll-" but Scarecrow stabs a scythe through her head before she can get her idea out.
  • Killed Offscreen: Shirou gets brought to Mr. Big's HQ, captured and drugged offscreen by the Fiends and Mr. Big's Intern, who then decide to let him go to see how his biology reacts to the new drug. When Killer Croc finds him the next day, he's in a dumpster, already dead from the side-effects of the drug.
    • Nabbit spends the second night robbing corpses, with Skye's body among those, his lower body having been crushed by the Fiends' tank.
    • On the fourth night, Freckle is said to have died in the chaos of last night from a wrecked car pining and crushing him.
  • Limit Break: Tenpenny, after breaking a Final Smash, shoots a bullet the size of a train out, which goes through Prowl's body and destroys the car Phantom R was hiding in, killing them.
  • Lone Wolf Boss: Max Force and Hit Man, while they want to stop Mr. Big and K.R.A.K., they're also wanting to kill the contestants, as they deemed them druggies for being seen near people who are seen taking and giving other people drugs.
  • Lucky Seven: Similar to what happened in the 32nd episode, Team 7 not only doesn’t lose any members until the last chapter, but also has the winner originate from the team.
  • Marshmellow Hell: Revy holds Gaius around her breasts when she catches him trying to pickpocket her looking for chocolate.
  • Mêlée à Trois: There are three major groups in this episode: There are the contestants, who all have their varying levels of desire to stop Mr. Big's drug production, with one working for Mr. Big himself. Mr. Big and his forces, who are not only distributing drugs across the city to everyone they can find, but are making a brand new extremely addicting and terrifying drug. And finally there's the duo of Max Force and Hit Man, a pair of Ax-Crazy cops who have taken it upon themselves to try and destroy K.R.A.K. as well as kill everyone they deem 'druggies', which happens to be just about everyone in the city.
  • Mercy Lead: Carnage decides to give his 'teammates' 10 seconds to run and hide to see how long they last before he kills them, comparing killing them all now while they're trapped in the shipping crate to shooting fish in a barrel, which he considers to be no fun.
  • Mind Rape: Everyone who ends up taking the drug and isn’t able to get another dose quickly enough gets treated to horrific nightmares of what they fear most, thanks to the Fear Toxin that’s secretly in the drug. How badly it affects the person depends on the person and whether they got it from taking the drug or from a direct dose.
  • Mundane Wish: Croc uses his wish to get June Moone a job to ensure that she doesn’t starve anymore.
  • Murder by Mistake: Several rockets get fired at Sly, which he back-flips to avoid. In doing so however, this causes the rockets to head towards Revy and Bad Cop, who are unable to avoid them.
  • Neck Lift: Carnage starts off his Team Introduction by grabbing Sly by the neck with a tendril and lifting him into the air.
  • Neck Snap: Sly is killed by the drugged-up Hit Man when he puts his hands around Sly's neck and breaks it.
  • Never Tell Me the Odds!: As Waai Fu and Aak are fighting The Son's goons, Aak tries to tell Waai Fu the odds of getting out of the fight alive, but Waai Fu interrupts him with "Don't tell me the odds Aak!"
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: In stopping Carnage from killing Max Force and Hit Man, it allows them to keep killing many innocents and contestants later down the line, including Dredd himself.
  • No Body Left Behind: Several contestants get obliterated by either rockets or by tank shells.
  • Noodle Incident: Carnage once somehow lost to 'that 'Morbin' guy', with the bitter memories of it making him snarl.
  • Nothing Personal: VixZ explains her attacking Robocop as this and 'Survival of the fittest', and adds that she likes his movies before kicking him into a pool, frying his circuitry.
  • Not in the Face!: Skye cries this out as he gets slapped by Bad Cop.
  • Oblivious to His Own Description: When several contestants are talking about Max Force and Hit Man, Luggins remarks that it's a shame when cops go bad and that cops aren't violence obsessed lunatics. And then she suddenly pulls the Graves siblings through a wall, accuses them of trying to sneak up on her, and punches them through the roof.
    Sly: Yeah. Real professional.
Carmelita: You can at least admire her enthusiasm.
  • Offhand Backhand: A psycho tries to knife the Goon in the back in the Bloodbath, only to get backhanded into a car by him.
    • Waai Fu backhands one of The Son's men, causing him to get skewered by another goon's knife.
  • Off with His Head!: The Son decapitates the guards to Mr. Big's office as he goes to confront him over what's in the new drug that's being made.
  • Oh, Crap!: When Revy notices the rockets that are heading for her and Bad Cop while bemoaning about her hurt paw, she only has time to cry out "My...OH SHIT!" before they blow the two of them up.
    • After her wings get shot though, causing her to plummet into the path of a rocket, she screams out "CRAP!" right before she's blown up.
    • Undyne goes "Oh, shit!" when she notices Sui Feng whipping out her massive bazooka and aiming it downward to the bridge.
    • During the assault on the K.R.A.K. tower, Tron yells out "CRAP!" twice when she finds an unpinned grenade in her mech just before it destroys both it and her. And Velora yells "Oh, fuck!" when she notices rockets about to rain down on her and Goon.
  • The Peeping Tom: Sui-Feng watches and masturbates to Carmelita giving Sly a blowjob.
  • Police Brutality: The rogue cops Max Force and Hit Man act as Judge, Jury, and Executioner to anyone that they deem 'druggies' (which happens to be basically everyone in the episode). Though in the case for Max Force, it technically doesn't count as he was let go from the force some time ago.
  • Pre-Asskicking One-Liner: When Killer Croc bursts through to the final floor of the K.R.A.K. tower, he yells out "You there, Mr. Big? It's me, Santa Claus! You've been one HELL of a naughty boy!" Rebecca finds it to be a lame quip.
  • Pre-Mortem One-Liner: After Nabbit steals Hit Man's shotgun, Trevor lobs a grenade tied up with a christmas bow, telling him "Happy holidays, motherfucker!" seconds before the grenade explodes.
    • As Scarecrow gets engulfed in flames and is trying to put the fire out, Croc tells him "Happy trails, Crane!" just before Scarecrow falls off the building to his death.
  • Punch Catch: After D.A.V.E. interrupts Tron and Rebecca's argument to try and get down to business, Rebecca tries to punch him, not wanting to take orders from anyone. D.A.V.E. then grabs her fist and tells her to follow his orders if she wishes to continue living.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: The picture used for Mr. Big's Intern for the simulation only consists of a pair of glowing red eyes, likely to conceal his identity.
    • When the side-effects of the new drug kick in, it causes the user's eyes to glow orange.
  • The Reveal: After a fear toxin infected Son tries to kill the Intern, only succeeding in slicing his coat off, revealing his figure. This causes The Son to drop his weapon and ask what he is, to which the Intern decides to reveal his identity:
The Intern: My patients call me Crane. Dr. Jonathan Crane. But some like to call me by another name. One I’ve grown quite fond off. The embodiment of terror! The bringer of fear! The savior of Gotham! THE SCARECROW!
  • Shake Someone, Objects Fall: When Henry tries to take the money on the ground that the citizens were trying to throw to Mr. Big's goons, Killer Croc grabs him by the head and shakes him until all the money he stole is off his body.
  • Shout-Out: One of two reasons listed for why Sly should have been ecstatic to have finally gotten out of Ancient Egypt was that the sand was rough, coarse, irritating, and it got everywhere in his fur.
  • Shut Up, Hannibal!: As soon as (the fake) Mr. Big makes disparaging comments about the last remaining contestants, Rebacca shoots her shotguns onto him, not wanting to listen to an evil monologue.
    • As Scarecrow begins to speechify about fear being the purest form of expression, Killer Croc interrupts him, demanding to fight already.
  • Strolling Through the Chaos: During the Bloodbath, as everyone is trying to run to the town while fighting anyone that tries to get in their way, VixZ opts to stroll though it like it was nothing.
  • Take It to the Bridge: The Arena begins with everyone on the bridge leading to the city, with the Bloodbath centering on everyone trying to make it to the town alive as numerous K.R.A.K. goons and the duo of Max Force and Hit Man try to kill them.
  • Taking You with Me: As Rebecca gets wrapped up by Mr. Big’s tongue minions and tumbles off the building, she fires several rockets, before aiming a final one to the ground, the explosion taking her and the tongues out. Her final words have her state this trope verbatim right before she fires her rockets.
  • Teeth Flying: Brad punches the teeth out of a clown-like psycho that tries to kill him and Tetsu.
  • Tempting Fate: After yelling at Aak not to tell her the odds as they're fighting The Son's men, Waai Fu tells him to keep fighting and they'll be fine. And then Aak gets a bullet into his skull by a crazed Andrew.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: Every returning contestant gets killed again in this episode.
  • This Is for Emphasis, Bitch!: After Tron makes a boast that her minions will steamroll Rebecca when she gets a hold of them, Rebecca tells her to "Bring It, bitch!"
  • This Is Gonna Suck: Hung goes "Ah, shit" when a grenade lands near his team in the Bloodbath, just before it takes him and Lee out.
    • When Hit Man takes a look at the grenade Trevor just lobbed at him, he mumbles that he "Really should have gotten that desk job instead." just before he's killed.
    • When Goon notices several missiles that about to rain down on him and Velora, he sighs "Ah, shucks. I knew this wasn't gonna be easy."
  • Throwing Your Gun at the Enemy: After running out of bullets, Rebecca throws her shotguns at Scarecrow, who destroys them with his scythe.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Mr. Big's Intern on Team 1, who is ALSO the only contestant working for the Big Bad of the episode, Whisk for Team 4, and Henry Stickmin for Team 9.
    • On the side of the contestants who are part of law enforcement, Officer Tenpenny is the only Dirty Cop of the lot.
  • Token Good Teammate: Brad Garrison for Team 5.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Hit Man really thought it was a good idea to openly admit about how he's been taking drugs in front of Max Force, when they have spent the entire episode killing anyone even remotely associated with drugs. The reason Hit Man isn't killed by Max Force after outing himself is because Trevor gets to him first.
  • Torso with a View: VixZ gets the jump on Robocop and shoves her fist through his chest while his back was turned.
  • We ARE Struggling Together: Many teams start out with at least one member having bad blood with the others, usually due to one of them being crazy and evil.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Max Force and Hit Man, as nice as it is that you want to stop K.R.A.K. and their drug distribution, killing everyone that is even remotely seen with drugs is not the right way to go about it.
  • What Did I Do Last Night?: Freckle awakens on the second day in a garbage can in an alley, surrounded by dead goons and bullet holes littering the walls. When Freckle realizes what he did the previous night, he is horrified by his actions.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: If someone taking K.R.A.K.'s new drug doesn't get a new dose quickly enough, they will be subjected to horrific hallucinations of their worst nightmare.
  • Why Won't You Die?: As Croc powers through Mr. Big's Eye Beams and slowly walks towards him, Mr. Big yells this out in frustration at Croc’s refusal to die.
  • "You!" Exclamation: The Son, realizing that something about the drug is very off, barges into Mr. Big's office, kills the guards and demands an explanation with "YOU! What the FUCK is going on?!"
  • Your Head Asplode: Violet gets her head taken off by Trevor's shotgun blast.
    • Deckerd is killed by Hit Man firing two rockets at his head, blowing it into scraps.

Your Winner: Killer Croc (SuperDocBoy's pick)
