A former sanctuary for survivors that advertised its existence, the inhabitants of Terminus became cold-blooded killers and cannibals after being brutalized by a group of survivors who followed the signs to Terminus. Now led by Gareth, Terminus traps, loots, kills, and eats anybody unlucky enough to fall into their clutches, recruiting strong survivors after feeding them with human flesh and then giving them the choice of joining them or becoming the next meal.

Everything changes when they capture the majority of Rick's group, who have come seeking sanctuary after the fall of the prison. When they are to become Terminus' next meal, Carol arrives and mounts a deadly one-woman assault on the compound, using a herd that devours many of the residents. The survivors, now dubbed the Hunters, then pursue Rick's group to get revenge and also get dinner. Though they manage to capture and partially eat Bob, they only succeed in deeply angering Rick's group. They attack Father Gabriel's church, only to find themselves in a trap and at the mercy of Rick's very angry, very disgusted group. The Hunters are then brutally executed in the church, and in death, serve as a grim reminder of the darkest pit of evil that humanity can sink to.

Adaptation Expansion: "Strangers" and "Four Walls and a Roof" directly adapt the "Fear the Hunters" storyline from the comics, whereas everything prior is unique to the show. The group is expanded into an entire community of people as opposed to a roaming gang.
Adaptation Name Change: They are called Terminus on the show. They reference their comic name, "The Hunters," after Terminus is burned to the ground.
Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Compared to their comic counterparts, they have a very tragic and very horrific backstory which triggers their Start of Darkness.
Adaptational Badass: They are a small group of survivors in the comic. The show gave them an entire community.
Adaptational Villainy: In the comics, they hunted people and ate them. On the show, they lure people in under the pretense of "sanctuary for all, community for all," lulling them into a false sense of security before crushing their hope and eating them.
Ambiguously Evil: At least in late Season 4 when we're still unsure of their motivations. Joe ends up accurately pegging that Terminus is a lie, but even he doesn't foresee the depths of evil Terminus is in.
Animal Motifs: They give their victims a cattle motif as part of their "butcher or cattle" philosophy. They also kill their victims in a similar manner.
Asshole Victim: Tragic backstory aside, they all had it coming.
The Bad Guy Wins: They end Season 4 with most of the group captured and they would’ve succeeded in eating them had it not been for Carol in the Season 5 premiere.
Became Their Own Antithesis: The things they did after being subjugated and tortured by monsters turned them into monsters themselves.
Being Good Sucks/No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: The main reason for their Start of Darkness is that they were invaded and violated by a group of survivors they tried to help.
Being Tortured Makes You Evil: What led them to become what they are now.
Big Eater: Two years into the Zombie Apocalypse, eating regularly is considered eating a lot compared to other survivors' eating habits. An entire community of dozens of people was kept well fed on a constantly replenished supply of unfortunate human victims for who knows how long. The main activity in Terminus appears to be slaughtering, prepping, cooking, and eating people, judging by what little we see of the place. During their feast on Bob's leg, their first meal in a day, they don't seem to be rationing the meat they've gotten and are just noisily wolfing it down. Likely because they anticipate they will get to feast on the rest of Rick's group very soon.
Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Their M.O. to lure unsuspecting survivors. According to writer/showrunner Scott Gimple, whenever a weak person comes to Terminus, they do not bother with the act and throw them in a train car immediately. When strong people come along, they keep up the act for a few days while feeding them human meat before revealing the truth and asking them to join them. This didn't happen with Glenn's group because Abraham tried to leave before they were fed, and Rick's group figured out something was wrong very quickly.
Bullying a Dragon: Tangling with Rick and his crew really doesn't end well for them.
Cannibal Clan: What they are.
Crazy-Prepared: By the time they’re introduced, they’re much better equipped to deal with strangers and now potential prey than they were when Terminus was initially captured. They have a coldly efficient slaughter system they’ve worked out to a tee as well as a dedicated group of outposts used to help disorient and lure away any approaching walkers.
The Cynic: Every single one of them.
Do Unto Others Before They Do Unto Us: Their captivity and torture broke them to where they use this to justify their later cannibalism.
The Dog Bites Back: Did this to their previous captors/tormentors. After Terminus' destruction, they try to do this to Rick's group.
Dwindling Party: The vast majority of them die in the Season 5 premiere, before the remnants are killed in the third episode of the season.
Even Evil Has Standards: The only thing they don't do to other survivors after their Face–Heel Turn is raping them, likely due to their own experiences.
Evil All Along:
- Terminus is built up as a potential safe haven for the heroic survivors, but the fourth season finale has them cast into Ambiguously Evil when they capture the group for an unknown purpose (and only attack Rick when he strikes first due to eying his group’s belongings in their possession). The Season 5 premiere confirms without a doubt they’re an evil group of cannibals luring in people to harvest and eat, using the promise of sanctuary for any survivors who come to them.
- This is also done In-Universe since any strong survivors are fed meat and housed for a few days until the mask is cast off, and the strong survivors are then given the choice of either joining or being eaten; while the ones deemed weak are immediately captured for food. Plenty of people learned the hard way Terminus was not what they were hoping.
Eviler than Thou: The show is already plenty dark by Season 4, and in terms of sheer body count, The Governor's got them beat. What makes the survivors of Terminus worse than any previous antagonists, however, is that they're not a power-hungry despot who's just killing any threat to their power; nor just average thugs, nor a jealous, insane former friend. Once a genuine sanctuary that helped people, they were brutalized by a group of marauders and became a group of twisted survivalists who lure in people only to eat them, after brutally slaughtering them like pigs. When Carol destroys their compound, the remaining survivors set out specifically to eat Rick's group. It's also heavily implied they ate their own children and actually get off on eating human flesh. Their ways and eating Bob's leg disgust the group so much that they are sure to hack them messily to pieces in return. Even long after their demise, the group is still shaken from their ordeal.
Evil Is One Big, Happy Family: They genuinely do all care for each other as a community and seem to get along just fine - however, they seemingly have no qualms about harvesting their own dead for food, and anybody outside the community is just a potential meal.
Failed a Spot Check: No one in their group thinks to check Bob for bite marks, and they all end up eating some of his leg before he starts laughing hysterically and reveals his infection.
Fallen Heroes: Terminus really was once a sanctuary that set up signs so other survivors could come and survive, but after a group of men followed the signs and took over Terminus, killing, beating, and raping the residents before they were beaten, they became twisted survivalists who trap, kill, and eat anyone who arrives there.
Faux Affably Evil: They act nice to lure people in, but in reality, are ruthless cannibals.
Had to Be Sharp: In the beginning they started out as a community that welcomed any survivor to their sanctuary but a group of marauders took over their community and systematically raped their women and tortured them to death. They managed to reclaim their community but they decided to only care about their own and to be the strongest survivors.
He Who Fights Monsters: Started out as a legitimately good sanctuary who became a Cannibal Clan after some scumbags really badly bit the hand that fed them.
Hoist by His Own Petard: After the destruction of Terminus, their rabid, almost lustful desire to find someone to eat means that they don't check Bob for bites. Turns out Bob is tainted meat, and though Robert Kirkman later revealed they didn't get infected, it nevertheless pisses off Rick's group even more, earning the Hunters a gory death by hacking, much like their prey.
Hypocrite: Gabriel finds a Bible on the front of the infested school where the very un-Christian Hunters had made camp. Based on Mary's name inside, the Bible probably belonged to Gareth.
I Ate WHAT?!: Strong survivors that they are interested in recruiting are fed human meat for a few days until they reveal what's really going on, and are given the option to join them or become their next meal.
I Am a Humanitarian: Summed up in their belief that, "You're the butcher or the cattle."
Industrialized Evil: We get to see their human slaughtering system in "No Sanctuary".
It's Personal: Towards Rick's group after Terminus gets burned to the ground.
Jade-Colored Glasses: Originally, they still wanted to make the world a better place despite the Zombie Apocalypse. Helping the wrong people and surviving them changed all that.
Join or Die: Their approach to strong groups or individuals they are interested in recruiting. Gareth even states, "Join us or feed us."
Karmic Death: Most of them are devoured by walkers in the Season 5 premiere. The majority of the Hunters are later butchered like they did to countless victims.
Letter Motif: They put Rick and his group in boxcar "A". Later on, they mark Gabriel's church with the same letter after Rick and the group take refuge there as a clear sign that they'll be back.
Madness Mantra: Many, such as "We first. Always", "Never again" and the most infamous "You're either the butcher or the cattle."
Meaningful Rename: After Terminus gets burned to the ground, and prey no longer comes to them, they are forced to become "hunters" and are dead set on tracking down Rick's group.
Mirroring Factions: From the walkers around them, as symbolised by Gareth's monologue with his reflection among a mass of walkers. They both eat people, after all.
Motifs: The group is strongly associated with fire and slaughterhouses.
Near-Villain Victory: Terminus is notable for having the group almost completely at their mercy. Rick was doing his best to work his way out of his restraints but it’s unlikely he would’ve saved Glenn from having his head beaten in at best, and had Carol not been outside to intervene like she did, the whole group quite likely could have been killed and eaten. Terminus simply had them outmatched due to superior weapons, numbers, and being on their home turf and more than experienced in herding and cannibalizing human beings.
No Party Like a Donner Party: Part of their Start of Darkness was resorting to cannibalism when they ran out of food, likely their children or their former captors they overthrew.
Non-Action Guy: They have several survivors who don’t seem to have much in the way of combat capability, though some of them like Mary still at least participate in exterminating walkers at their gates.
Not Using the "Z" Word: They call zombies "cold bodies", judging by Martin's use of the term.
Oh, Crap!: When they realize that Bob, whose leg they've been eating, was bitten by a walker and is tainted.
Offing the Offspring: During Gareth's speech to Bob, he likens the group to bears and says that bears sometimes eat their young when they begin to starve. He claims that it was 'part of the pitch' and the look on his face seems to imply that Terminus likely ate their own children.
Pay Evil unto Evil: Rick, Abe, Michonne and Sasha hacking and beating them to death is horrifying, but boy, did they deserve it.
Punch-Clock Villain: One of the scariest things about them is how when they're not butchering or trapping people, they seem to otherwise carry on like normal people. Gareth is shown checking in with his butchers like he's asking for copies to be made by his office employees, Terminus members are seen enjoying lunch or dealing with walkers gathering at their gates.
Rape as Backstory: Several of the community's women were raped by a group they had taken in.
Red Shirt: Loads of them are either gunned down or devoured by the walker herd in the Terminus battle.
The Remnant: The Hunters are composed of the surviving Terminus residents led by the community's leader.
Room Full of Crazy: Their "church", where they pay tribute to the belongings and names of their fallen members, and is full with phrases like "Never Again", "Trust Noone" and "We First, Always".
Super-Persistent Predator: They become this after the fall of Terminus, bent on eating Rick's group partially out of vengeance and partially to stay well-fed. They pursue them for a day or two after Terminus' destruction and only would've kept pursuing them had Rick and company not killed them in the church when they did.
There's No Kill like Overkill: Not only the destruction of Terminus, but the brutal manner in which Gareth, Martin, Greg and Theresa end up killed.
Tragic Villain: They don't kill and eat outsiders because they want to, they do it because previous experiences in the post apocalyptic world left them so broken that they feel like they have to do it to survive. When Mary reveals this to Carol, it shows just how messed up being betrayed by people they tried to help made them all. That being said, we later see that some of them do get pleasure from eating other people.
Uncanny Village: Terminus publicizes itself as a "sanctuary for all", including open gates and welcoming newcomers with barbecue and no questions asked. It turns out that the place is a community of cannibals that either locks up newcomers to serve as cattle or feeds them human flesh and then reveals the truth, giving them the choice of Join or Die.
Underestimating Badassery: They go after Rick's Badass Crew despite knowing that they destroyed their safe zone and killed the majority of their people.
The Unfettered: They once tried to rebuild society. Now, they no longer care about any moral restraints, aside from rape.
Villainous Glutton: Their gorging and slurping down Bob's leg clearly indicates that they love eating human meat. They also apparently intended to have a buffet on the entirety of Rick's group when they invaded the church, if Gareth's claim that they'll "try" all of them is any indication, which is just plain wasteful. Truth in Television in that often, psychopaths who become cannibals after mulling it over often experience a rush of dopamine to the brain, and they become addicted to cannibalism. They really do get off on it.
Watching Troy Burn: Carol burns their home to the ground.
Would Hurt a Child: Carol discovers the room full of items confiscated from Terminus' victims, and there's a very large table full of toys. In the church, Gareth sneers and makes a very suspect comment when Judith gives away the hiding group's location.
Zombie Infectee: Discussed after the group eats Bob's leg, but ultimately they don't survive long enough in either the show or the comic to see if this infects people. In Issue 134 of the comics fanmail section, Robert Kirkman states that neither the TV Hunters or their comic book counterparts got infected from eating the "tainted" meat.

The leader of Terminus who led the uprising against a gang of thugs who conquered the once-benevolent community. Deluding himself into believing he was just doing what he had to do to survive, Gareth and his clan became sociopathic cannibals. This all changes when they select Rick's group for their next meal, however, and Gareth loses both his mother and brother (see below for more on that) to Rick, and soon his entire empire of cannibalism when Carol rescues the group. Livid, Gareth sets out with the survivors of the attack to hunt and eat Rick's group. Though confident that he's smarter and more dangerous than Rick, Gareth is ultimately lured into a trap and butchered just like he intended to do to his victims.

Adaptation Expansion: He is given a background and family, while Chris casually mentioned his in the comics. The events in Terminus are an original creation of the show.
Adaptation Name Change: His comic counterpart's name is Chris.
Adaptational Attractiveness: His comic counterpart has a more "stiff" and "crook-like" appearance.
Adaptational Villainy: His comic counterpart was much friendlier to Dale, and actually does have some remorse for his cannibalism (and began openly weeping when recounting how his group ate their children). Unlike Gareth, he also told the truth when he said it was Nothing Personal, and when Dale started crying, he genuinely apologized for upsetting him. Gareth, meanwhile, is an unrepentant sociopath who's deluding himself into thinking he's a decent guy forced to do horrible things.
Advertised Extra: Andrew J. West is present in most of the Season 5 promotions, but only sticks around for the season's first three episodes.
Ain't Too Proud to Beg: He insists that he isn't, but his nerve fails as death approaches.
Arc Villain: Serves as the Big Bad of the "Fear the Hunters" adaptation which lasts from the Season 4 finale to the third episode of Season 5.
Beard of Evil: A sparse and thin one that makes him look both non-threatening and ghoulish at the same time.
Benevolent Boss: Seems to genuinely care about his fellow members of Terminus, as evidenced by when he forgives a new recruit for a mistake on his first butcher job. However, he has zero qualms about allowing the dead of Terminus to be used to feed the community, including the corpse of his own brother.
Big Bad Wannabe: True to his actor's word, he ends up being this in the long run. Terminus is destroyed in the first episode of Season 5, and he and the Hunters are wiped out two episodes later. His one victory in Season 5, capturing Bob and eating his leg, backfires spectacularly: Bob was already dying from a zombie bite, and returning him to the group leads Rick to take action to finish off the Hunters.
Big "NO!": Just before Rick hacks him to pieces.
Dead Star Walking: Despite being promoted to a series regular for the fifth season, he's killed by the third episode.
Dirty Coward: He's pretty smug and confident when he has the upper hand, but as soon as the tables are turned on him by Rick he begins begging and pleading for his life. It doesn't save him.
Disc-One Final Boss: Slaughtered by Rick — with the machete Rick told him he was going to do it with — three episodes into Season 5.
Even Evil Has Loved Ones: He is really angry for Mary and Alex's deaths, despite him being the main cause of the latter's demise. It's also implied he regrets ordering his group to eat their own children (though it's unknown if he actually had any kids or his own).
Evil Counterpart: One could argue him as being one to Rick, another chance to show how far a 'good man' can fall. Gareth started out trying to help people, trying to be a good man, but faced lots of bad situations (His group being overthrown and brutalized being the main one). Like Rick, he responded a bit poorly, but unlike Rick he had no one to reign him in and, instead, helped bring everyone else down. In short, he's what could have happened to Rick if someone like Hershel hadn't been there to try and be the moral compass.
Eye Scream: Threatens to stab Bob in the eye if Rick doesn't reveal the contents of the hidden bag. Thankfully, Rick tells him and he doesn't go through with it.
Face Death with Dignity: Subverted. He tells Rick that he wouldn't beg for his life, as there's no point. But when Rick looms over him with a machete, he begs Rick to let the Hunters go, saying they'll never bother him again.
Faux Affably Evil: Before being outright outed as a cannibal, he appears to be polite and approachable to people, even to those about to be butchered. He drops the act after Terminus is burned down and becomes increasingly ruthless and sadistic while keeping a creepily friendly attitude. Probably made most obvious when he tells Bob he really doesn't want to hurt him while remaining fairly cheerful and rubbing it in his face that he's eating Bob's leg.
Fingore: Two of his fingers are shot off by Rick.
He Who Fights Monsters: Becomes as evil as the people who brutalized Terminus (with the exception of rape) which is probably made most obvious while he torments Bob.
It's Personal: He especially wants to kill Carol for killing Mary.
Jerkass: When he slips into Faux Affably Evil mode, his dialogue comes off as very snide and sadistic.
Karmic Death: He ends up getting butchered to death by a nonchalant Rick while begging for his life, just as many people were casually butchered at Terminus by Gareth and his men after fruitless begging.
Kick the Dog: His conversation with Bob as he and his men chow down on his leg is this.
Last Episode, New Character: In Season 4.
The Leader: Of Terminus.
Motive Rant: Gives a calm, creepy one to Bob while eating his leg.
Never Found the Body: Rick shoots him in the shoulder in "No Sanctuary" and we see him go down, but we never see a body or get any confirmation that he died either. Naturally, he turns up alive and well in the next episode.
Never My Fault: He refuses to admit to any wrongdoing when he's about to die, justifying his actions by simply claiming he has felt true hunger.
Never Trust a Trailer: Trailers for Season 5 indicated that he would team up with Rick's group in an effort to find the cure to the walker virus. This never actually happens and he remains a direct antagonist until his death three episodes in.
Nothing Personal: Says this pretty much word for word to Bob while eating his leg, but unlike when his comic counterpart said so, he doesn't mean one word of it, and takes visible pleasure from the situation.
The Nicknamer: Calls Rick "the ringleader", Daryl "the archer", Michonne "samurai", and Carl "the kid".
Oh, Crap!: When he recognizes the machete with the red handle.
Perma-Stubble: Which is growing to be a Beard of Evil.
Pet the Dog: He seems to think he's doing this when he rambles on and on to Bob while eating him alive, alarmingly claiming that he's being a human being by addressing Bob as such.
Smug Snake: Thinks he's clever and more dangerous than Rick. It becomes clear that he's not.
The Sociopath: Though he appears to view himself as a Sociopathic Hero resorting to I Did What I Had to Do. He's fooling absolutely no one.
Soft-Spoken Sadist: After the destruction of Terminus.
Stepford Smiler: Briefly. During his monologuing to Bob, he brings up his mantra on how bears cannibalize their young so they can live and have more children another day... and the look on his face becomes morose, suggesting he didn't really like going through with that.
The Stoic: Only really panics when Rick shoots off his finger and the tables are turned. He even faces a fragile window with a mass of walkers on the other side, and wonders about when it will inevitably break.
There Is No Kill Like Overkill: He is hacked to pieces by Rick.
Undignified Death: He goes into the church smug and full of himself, ready for dinner. Half his group is suddenly executed, and after he tries to retake control of the situation, he loses two fingers and is forced to his knees with his group following. Then he's outright groveling before Rick, who simply glares at him until he loses his nerve and starts begging for his life. Then Rick hits him with an Ironic Echo of what he said to Bob ("We'd do this to anyone"), and then finally Rick butchers him, much like he'd been wanting to do to him.
Villains Want Mercy: When he finally loses his courage, he actually has the gall to beg Rick for forgiveness after eating Bob's leg and smugly boasting that he will do the same to the rest of the group. Rick isn't having any of it, though.
Rick: I already made you a promise.
Would Hurt a Child: Gareth's extremely unnerving grin and comment when Judith gives away the group's location inside the church shook many an audience member to the core, to say the least. It's also made clear that he willingly killed and ate many children during his time in Terminus.

The first resident of Terminus introduced, Mary greets new arrivals to Terminus and holds a position of authority. She is the mother of Gareth, the community's leader, and his brother Alex, and was the victim of repeated rape when Terminus was overthrown by a gang of thugs. Mary and her family heeded the apparent call to devolve into murderers and retook Terminus. Shortly after she loses her son, she herself is killed by Carol during the battle of Terminus.

Affably Evil: She's really calm and polite for someone who cooks and serves human flesh.
Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: She seems friendly, but it is merely an act to help capture anybody who arrives at Terminus.
Boom, Headshot!: When Carol kneecaps her after she refuses to divulge any information on Rick, she has the guts to ask for a quick death via headshot. Carol disagrees and lets loose some walkers on her.
Canon Foreigner: While Chris obviously has a mother, she didn't appear in the comics as a character.
- Named by the Adaptation: Technically speaking.
Devoured by the Horde: After interrogating her, Carol shoots Mary in the leg and leaves her to be eaten by several walkers.
The Dragon: She serves as one to her son, Gareth, being the main welcomer and the person who seems to be the most important to the community after him.
Even Evil Has Loved Ones: She otherwise appears to be a perfectly loving mother to her sons.

Foreshadowing: Her presence is foreshadowed several episodes before her introduction in a painting◊ found in a random house. While it is a painting of a little girl who's now undead, the painting bears an uncanny resemblance to Mary, and the blood (especially around the mouth) foreshadows how the Terminus residents also eat human flesh like the walkers.
Karmic Death: She gets Eaten Alive by walkers, which is a pretty fitting end for a cannibal.
Motive Rant: When she confronts Carol, she refuses to divulge where Rick and the gang are (possibly because she may assume they're already dead), and instead goes on one of these, telling the community's backstory and claiming that Carol is ignorant to the world.
Mouth of Sauron: As part of Terminus' "Welcome Wagon".
One-Steve Limit: Averted. She shares her name with a Whisperer in Season 10.
Rape as Backstory: In a flashback, she is shown being thrown back into one of Terminus' railcars by one of the men who had taken it over, with the implication that she had just been raped. She later tries to justify her and her fellow Termites actions to Carol because of what those men did to her and the other female residents of Terminus.
Religious and Mythological Theme Naming: Averted but invoked. Her son's original name is one letter away from Christ, the son of a very well known Mary. This is likely done to avoid backlash from the Christian/Catholic community.
Sudden Sequel Death Syndrome: After being introduced and established as a major villain at the end of Season 4, she dies in the Season 5 premiere.
Team Mom: Possibly to Terminus, if her cooking the food is an indication. Furthered more by Word of God saying that she was the mother of both Gareth and Alex.

Boom, Headshot!: He is shot in the head while Rick is holding him at gunpoint.

Sacrificial Lamb: To show how merciless the Terminus folk can be. His body is seen in "No Sanctuary" about to be butchered for meat, showing that even their own dead are fair game for Terminus residents to eat.

A Terminus resident who lives outside the main compound, manning a small outpost where he shoots off fireworks to distract walkers. He builds a violent enmity with Tyreese even after his death when he's killed by Sasha.

Adaptation Expansion: He is given a small subplot as Tyreese's Arch-Enemy, while Charlie is merely one of The Hunters' mooks (aside from the fact that Tyreese is dead at that point in the comics).
Adaptation Name Change: His comic counterpart's name is Charlie.
Arch-Enemy: Though they only face off once, Martin later appears to a dying Tyreese from beyond the grave, taunting him and reminding him how he said that Tyreese's morality would get him killed.
Asshole Victim: No one is mourning his brutal execution from Sasha. We mean no one.
Author Filibuster: Drops his monologues about how Tyreese’s way of doing things is wrong with the subtlety of an iron to the face.
Beard of Evil: He sports a sparse one (moustache and goatee).
Blatant Lies: He tries to convince Carol and Tyreese that the rest of their group attacked Terminus after they had already overheard him talking about how they captured them.
Blood Knight: He happily embraces Terminus' violent ways and is the most eager for blood, and is aggressively prodding Gareth to get on with it and attack the half of Rick's group that stayed in the church.
Card-Carrying Villain: He casually admits that Carol and Tyreese are good people, but that they'll die for it while he'll survive by being evil.
Dead Person Conversation: He appears to the dying Tyreese several episodes after his death to taunt him about his morality.
Defiant to the End: He is the last Hunter standing and refuses to run or surrender despite being cornered. Abraham has to get up close to him and aim his gun to his head to get him to start kneeling.
The Dragon: He's the most prominent enforcer to Gareth and is the one who is able to lead the group to Rick. He's also in charge of literally bringing Bob home for dinner.
Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: He questions why Carol and Tyreese left him alive when they could've just killed him and taken the car. He deduces that they're simply better people than he is and repays their mercy in the worst way possible.
Hate Sink: All the Hunters are pretty nasty pieces of work, but Martin is easily one of the biggest assholes featured in the show.
In the Hood: He wears one when he takes out Bob and keeps it on until his death.
I Warned You: When he appears as a hallucination to the bitten and dying Tyreese, he rubs it in his face that he's about to die, supposedly because of his good heart. He also tries to make Tyreese feel guilty and responsible for Bob's death, though a hallucination of Bob assures him that this wasn't the case.
Jerkass: While most of the Terminus residents are Faux Affably Evil, Martin doesn't even pretend to be friendly. He seems to get on well enough with his own group, though.
Nerves of Steel: He doesn't show any fear when being held hostage by Carol and Tyreese. When the Hunters are surrounded, Martin refuses to back down and maintains a smug demeanor.
Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Martin abducting Bob for his group to eat ends up leading to the group's undoing.
No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Tyreese pins him down and beats the crap out of him after he threatens to kill Judith.
Not Quite Dead: Tyreese claims that he killed Martin after brutally beating him, but he turns up alive in the next episode.
Shout-Out Theme Naming: His Adaptation Name Change from Charlie to Martin sounds fishy.
Silly Rabbit, Idealism Is for Kids!: A big part of his character is his belief that things like idealism and morals will only get you killed in the apocalypse. He only ever refers to Tyreese as "the guy that saves babies" and seems to think he's an idiot for putting others above himself.
Smug Snake: Of all the Hunters, Martin is the most unpleasant and the biggest Jerkass. He tells Carol and Tyreese that their compassion will get them killed, and later brags that he will make it out alive. He happily threatens to snap Judith's neck, and even when the much larger, more powerful Tyreese has pinned him and has him at his mercy, he goads him on claiming it doesn't hurt. When Rick's group has the Hunters cornered, he refuses to back down, smugly claiming there's another way out all the way up until he’s finally executed.
Villain Has a Point: He does have a point in that Tyreese's refusal to kill even when it's necessary causes problems, like him living to lead Gareth to the group.
Would Hurt a Child: He threatens to snap Judith's neck if Tyreese doesn't put down his weapons and go outside where three walkers are waiting.

Albert

Adaptational Badass: He is more tactical in combat than his comic counterpart.
Adaptation Dye-Job: Albert is blond in the comics.
Boom, Headshot!: From Rick.
Cold Sniper: A sniper for a community of cannibals.
Evil Genius: He is Terminus' resident sniper and a tactical sniper at that. He's also the one who comes up with the theory that they may be infected since they ate the leg of the Zombie Infectee Bob.
The Guards Must Be Crazy: Implied. Even though obviously Terminus is happy to see more people having come into the community, Gareth jokes that Albert must've been on guard duty since Rick, Daryl, Carl, and Michonne got in unnoticed.
Last Episode, New Character: In Season 4.
We Hardly Knew Ye: Despite being one of the more prominent residents of Terminus, he doesn't get much development before being slaughtered along with the rest of The Hunters.
Younger and Hipper: In the comics, Albert is in his late 30s to early 40s, while he is in his mid-20s to early 30s here in the show.

Theresa is one of the Hunters tracking down Rick Grimes and his group of survivors after the fall of Terminus. She takes Michonne's sword but is ultimately killed by its' owner with the butt of a rifle.

Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Theresa doesn't have a Rape as Backstory in the comic. That is, of course, if she was already a part of Terminus during the unfortunate takeover and not a later recruit.
Aloof Dark-Haired Girl: In terms of personality.
Beauty Inversion: April Billingsley looks great if she isn't sporting Theresa's "thick and baggy" hair.
Faux Action Girl: Despite carrying Michonne's Cool Sword she never uses it, breaks down crying when the Hunters are being executed, and is killed in one hit from Michonne.
Rape as Backstory: That is, if she was part of the original Terminus community and not a later recruit.
Red Shirt: Has no major role before she's killed by Rick's group.

Two Terminus residents who serve as butchers for the community, slaughtering their prey like cattle.

Ain't Too Proud to Beg: The younger butcher pathetically begs as Rick advances on him.
And Then John Was a Zombie: Rick spitefully leaves both of them to turn after killing them.
Asshole Victim: Both of them are savagely murdered by Rick as soon as he breaks out, but no one will be mourning these psychos.
Bald of Evil: The older one is bald.
Batter Up!: They knock out their victims with baseball bats to the back of the head before slashing their throats.
Easily Forgiven: Gareth is pretty chill towards the younger one after a screw-up since it's his first time around.
No Name Given: Neither of their names are revealed.
Punch-Clock Villain: The creepiest part about them is that they don't seem to be getting any sadistic enjoyment out of what they're doing; they go about murdering people almost casually, as if in some sort of a boring office job. The older one does seem to be revving up to kill the survivors like you would playing baseball, however, implying he may find it fun.
Retirony: Inverted with the younger one. His first run at the slaughterhouse is interrupted and he's ultimately killed by one of his first would-be victims.
We Hardly Knew Ye: Both of them get killed by Rick in their first episode.

A man who once led a group of violent bandits into Terminus, taking over the compound that welcomed them with open arms and torturing and raping their women. However, Gareth and the survivors of Terminus were able to strike back, overwhelming this man's group. While the rest of his group was presumably eaten, he was locked in a train car indefinitely until found by Rick during the battle of Terminus. When Glenn insisted on freeing him, it turned out he had been driven insane and was quickly eaten by a walker.

Asshole Victim: Being a prisoner of cannibals and later Eaten Alive by a walker may be a grim fate, but the man did lead a group of marauders into Terminus to pillage and rape their women.
Beard of Sorrow: He grows a massive one during his imprisonment.
Create Your Own Villain: By raping and torturing the hosts of Terminus, he inspires them to become cannibals.
Devoured by the Horde: As soon as he's let out of his cell, the walkers get a hold of him.
Eaten Alive: His ultimate fate.
Expy: Many viewers believed he was Negan debuting early, given his short black hair, imposing presence, leather jacket and love of violence. Robert Kirkman had to step in and confirm this wasn't the case.
Face Framed in Shadow: During the flashbacks, he's only seen in a very poor light.
Fate Worse than Death: Granted, being killed - specially in the way the people of Terminus kill their victims - and being eaten is no pleasant way to go, but the Terminus residents chose to lock him up as opposed to killing him, likely because he was the one who put them through hell and they wanted him to suffer for as long as possible.
Faux Affably Evil: He's all smiles when telling Gareth and his family it won't be okay.
Greater-Scope Villain: For the Terminus arc. He's the one whose brutality inspired Gareth and his friends to become psychopathic cannibals, and he's even worse than them to some degree considering they later refused to rape their prisoners.
Madness Mantra: "WE'RE THE SAME!!!"
Mind Rape: Through captivity and quite likely forced cannibalism, the Terminus residents destroyed his sanity.
No Indoor Voice: Due to his captivity-caused insanity.
No Man Left Behind: Glenn tries to save him based on this, but he's unable to do so given the man's insanity.
No Name Given: We don't learn his name.
Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil: He and his people gleefully raped the women of Terminus without remorse. The residents of Terminus later absolutely refrained from rape, so traumatized by the evil inflicted by this man.
Sacrificial Lamb: Despite being a minor character who's not even named, his brief scene haunts Glenn well into the rest of the season and makes him question if it was worth trying to save him.
Sanity Slippage: A wrecked shell of a man by the time he's freed by Glenn.
Save the Villain: Glenn insisted on freeing him from the train car he was imprisoned in after he pleaded to be rescued from it.
Tattooed Crook: A rapist and murderer with facial tattoos.
Ungrateful Bastard: He repaid Terminus's generous welcome in the worst way possible.
Unwitting Instigator of Doom: His actions led to many survivors including Sam to get butchered and eaten by Gareth and his friends and Rick's group nearly suffered the same fate.
We Hardly Knew Ye: He's killed less than a minute after being introduced, though he also appears briefly in a flashback at the end of "No Sanctuary".
Yank the Dog's Chain: Mere seconds after Rick's group frees him, the walkers get a hold of him.
