"Wash away your fears, and relax by the pool with us"
- Skylanders: Ring of Heroes

The Water element is one of the eight original elements in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. Water Skylanders have a tendency to be sea creatures or explorers, with a proficient control over the waves and high-pressure water. This isn’t exclusive to liquids, either; many Water Skylanders also control ice and even steam.

    open/close all folders

    In General
  • An Ice Person: This is the element that houses the ice Skylanders.
  • Blue Is Heroic: The symbol for Water is navy, just like the ocean, and every Water Skylander has a blue color scheme with the only exceptions being, King Pen, Grave Clobber and most notably Wham-Shell (who's entirely red with yellow accents; the only blue is his eyes).
  • Blue Means Cold: Many of the Water Skylanders are ice-themed with ice attacks and they all wear/are bright, frigid blues.
  • Making a Splash: Of course. Though note that not every Water Skylander has at least one sort of water attack. There are of course Slam Bam, Chill, Freeze Blade and King Pen who instead attack with ice (and snow in King Pen's case), but characters like Wham-Shell and Lob-Star don't attack with water in any way.

"Ride the lightning!"
Voiced by: Jeff Bergman (Giants onwards)
Primary Attack: Lightning Breath
Secondary Attack: Sea Slime Slide
Tertiary Attack: Wave Rider
Soul Gem Ability: Love For the Sea
Wow Pow Ability: For Riley! (Series 2)

Zap was born a prince of water dragons, but was swept away by a riptide and adopted by electric eels. There, he not only built a harness to store and discharge electricity, but he also became an excellent speed swimmer, with only the dolphins able to be a match for him.

He returns in the Giants toy lineup as a Series 2 Skylander.

  • Breath Weapon: He spits balls of electricity as his primary attack.
  • Curiosity Is a Crapshoot: Zap tends to be an endlessly curious fellow when can often get him into trouble.
  • Distressed Dude: In Gill Grunt and the Curse of the Fish Master, he briefly becomes this when a brainwashed Wham-Shell pins him down under a suffocating blanket of sticky starfish. He's stuck that way until the Fish Master Crown is shattered.
  • Healing Factor: His Soul Gem ability, "Love for the Sea", gives him this when in water (or when in a Water Power Zone in Swap Force and beyond).
  • Hydro-Electro Combo: Zap's sea slime can be electrified and shock opponents that touch it, and on one upgrade path, he can even electrify the wave he rides.
  • In Memoriam: His Series 2 Wow Pow upgrade is named "For Riley" as a dedication to Riley Van Zyl, a fan with cancer who had Zap as his favorite character.
  • Raised by Wolves: In this case, he was raised by electric eels instead of his own dragonkind.
  • Shock and Awe: Though he learned the how-tos from being raised by electric eels, he has to use a special harness to provide the electricity for it.
  • Speed Demon: He loves to race and loves to move fast. His bio also states that he's super competitive.
  • The Prankster: Constantly pranking his fellow Skylanders with electrified sea slime.
  • Verbal Tic: As of Giants, his voice constantly sounds like someone gargling and talking at the same time.

    Wham-Shell

Wham-Shell

Click here to see LightCore Wham-Shell
"Brace for the mace!"
Notable variants: LightCore Wham-Shell
Voiced by: Chris Parson (Giants onwards)
Primary Attack: Malacostracan Macenote
Secondary Attack: Starfish Bullets
Tertiary Attack: Poseidon Strike
Soul Gem Ability: Carapace Plating
Wow Pow Ability: N/A
Ruler (a prince according to most sources) of a peaceful underwater civilization, Wham-Shell repelled an invasion of trolls drilling for oil, though the invasion did scatter his people far and wide. He's since joined the Skylanders to defend against these sorts of atrocities.

He has a LightCore version of him in Swap Force.

  • Abnormal Ammo: He can launch starfish from his mace.
  • Ancestral Weapon: Wham-Shell's mace has been passed down from one king to the next for generations.
  • Brainwashed: In ''Gill Grunt and the Curse of the Fish Master', he ends up being brainwashed by Captain Grimslobber. He gets better.
  • Carry a Big Stick: He wields a mace (actually a morning star) in combat.
  • Defend Command: He was a Defense type Skylander in Ring of Heroes, both pre- and post-revamp, before the game closed down. His passive ability raises his defense by 5%.
  • 11th-Hour Ranger: In a meta sense, but only if you had followed the series since day one. Wham-Shell alongside Camo and Warnado were the three Skylanders that were released in the fifth and final wave of the toy lineup in Spyro's Adventure, which would make them the last heroes to join the battle. This wouldn't be the case when Wham-Shell returned in Swap Force as a LightCore figure, where it was released in wave 3.
  • Friend to All Children: He's seemingly fond of children according to one of Flynn's fables from the Book of Elements: Fire and Water. Blobbers and several little Mabu had taken Wham-Shell's mace to use as a blatter ball bat earlier that day. Despite running around searching in a stressed out, panic-induced rage, when he found his mace, he didn't get angry at all, and even joined in the game. He still does to this day, although he refrains from using his mace as a bat.
  • Informed Attribute: Two tie-in books imply that he likes his appearance and tries to keep himself looking good. It's noted in the Book of Elements: Fire and Water that he brushes his teeth 14 times a day with a coral brush and mashed fishscale toothpaste. He's also "least likely to let his gleaming carapace lose it's shine" according to . None of these behaviors have shown in in-game or in his singular novel appearance.
  • Mighty Glacier: He doesn't have the best speed but his mace does immense damage and he dishes out a high amount of pain.
  • Nice Guy: He's described as heroic and is said to always be looking out for the common clams. Flynn also describes him as a "pretty together kind of guy".
  • Power Glows: As a Lightcore, his mace lights up.
  • Red Is Heroic: He's red all over with yellow accents and is a hero of Skylands.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: He's the Red Oni to Gill Grunt's Blue Oni in Gill Grunt and the Curse of the Fish Master, both color-wise (as he is red and Gill is blue) and personality-wise. Throughout the book, Gill often tries words first and attempts to avoid antagonizing people if he can help it, whereas Wham-Shell tends to use violence first and isn't so cautious.
    • When several pirates of a crew made less-than-respectful comments towards Gill Grunt, he shot back his own snarky comments while implying violence (slapping his mace on his palm). He Gill meanwhile tried to shut down the tension and keep everyone's tempers and actions in check. He also tried to reason with the pirates the entire time until he was forced to do battle.
    • Another example is when the trio of Skylanders were denied entry to a kingdom. Wham-Shell broke down the doors with his mace, with Gill's reaction implying that he was going to try a less violent approach to entry.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: A prince who drove oil-hungry trolls away from his kingdom single-handedly.
  • The Bus Came Back: After being the Water Skylander of Spyro's Adventure to not return in Giants, he returns in Swap Force as a LightCore.

'"Fear the fish!"
Notable variants: Elite Gill Grunt
Voiced by: Freddie Winston (Spyro's Adventure), Darin De Paul (Giants onwards)
Primary Attack: Harpoon Gun
Secondary Attack: Power Hose
Tertiary Attack: Water Jetpack
Soul Gem Ability: Anchor Cannon
Wow Pow Ability: Anchors Away! (Series 2), Anchor Management! (Series 3), Ride the Leviathan! (Series 4)

Gill Grunt is a gillman soldier who met a beautiful mermaid during one tour of duty. He kept a promise to return to her after his tour, but she had been kidnapped by pirates in the meantime. He continues to search for her, and has become a Skylander to put a stop to such evil.

He returns in the Giants toy lineup as a Series 2 Skylander and in Swap Force as a Series 3 Skylander called Anchors Away Gill Grunt and in Trap Team as a Series 4 Skylander (the only Skylander to get such a form) called Tidal Wave Gill Grunt. He has a mini version (formerly sidekick) in Trap Team called Gill Runt.

In SuperChargers, he comes in contact with a Rift Engine and gets promoted to a SuperCharger as Deep Dive Gill Grunt.

  • Abnormal Ammo: His Water Weaver upgrade path lets him shoot exploding starfish at enemies.
  • A Day in the Limelight: He's the main focus character in the tie-in novel Gill Grunt and the Curse of the Fish Master.
  • Anchors Away: After acquiring his Soul Gem upgrade, hold the attack button to ready a large ship anchor instead of the usual harpoons.
  • Art Evolution: In his offical artwork for series two on, his jaw seems to be less prominent, and his eyes appear rounder.
  • Big, Thin, Short Trio: Of the three Skylanders in the Spyro's Adventure console starter pack, he's the Big to Spyro's Thin and Trigger Happy's Short.
  • Bottomless Magazines: Initially averted with his water backpack, which has a limited but regenerating water supply. Played straight once he gets the "Reserve Water Tank" upgrade in his Water Weaver path. This also applies when he stands in any amount of water large enough for him to get both feet in.
  • Combat Medic: He was a Support type Skylander in Ring of Heroes, both pre- and post-revamp, before the game closed down. Uniquely, he could only heal allies with Power Hose in pre-revamp version if the enemy was frozen, which his ability let him do half the time.
  • Dreadful Musician: Gillmen are known for their singing voices, but not in a good way.
  • Fantastic Recruitment Drive: Known for recruiting other undersea Skylanders, like Punk Shock or Echo. Eon sent him to recruit Wham-Shell as well.
  • Fish People: A Gillman, who are very much fish.
  • Harpoon Gun: His primary weapon. Can be upgraded with Spread Shot and Charged Attack capabilities.
  • Jet Pack: A water-pressure jetpack!
  • Knockback: His power-hose attack inflicts relatively little damage, but is explicitly noted to push enemies backwards when it hits.
  • Prongs of Poseidon: His Wow Pow upgrade changes the anchor into a Spread Shot of tridents for a three-way attack. His Supercharged counterpart, Deep Dive Gill Grunt, has him switch his Harpoon Gun for a trident as the primary weapon, becoming a melee specialist as a result.
  • Spotlight-Stealing Squad: Was the only Skylander from the first game to get a Series 4 toy.
  • Spread Shot: One path of upgrades enables him to fire a triple spread of harpoons. His Series 2 Wow Pow upgrade allows him to do this with his Charged Attack.
  • Starter Mon: He is included in the starter pack for Spyro's Adventure.
  • Visual Pun: His series 4 version literally rides the wave.
  • Vocal Evolution: In Spyro's Adventure he had a voice akin to Trigger Happy's but with a slight French accent and a little less laughter. In Giants and onwards, he got a deeper, less crazy sounding voice with a southern accent instead.

  • Bottomless Magazines: He has unlimited water for his jetpack straight away.
  • Mega Maelstrom: His appropriately named "Wild Whirlpool" upgrade allows him to attack with one of these.
  • Shock and Awe: His trident has this power when upgraded enough to the correct path.

Notable variants: Legendary Slam Bam, Elite Slam Bam
Voiced by: Fred Tatasciore (Giants onwards)
Primary Attack: Yeti Fists
Secondary Attack: Ice Prison
Tertiary Attack: Yeti Ice Shoe Slide
Soul Gem Ability: Yeti-Cooling Factor
Wow Pow Ability: Sleigh Me! (Series 2)
Slam Bam lived a simple life on a glacier, making ice sculptures and doing the occasional ice surfing. That is, until Kaos destroyed the glacier, leaving him to drift on an iceberg for days until he landed on Eon's Island.

He returns in the Giants toy lineup as a Series 2 Skylander.

  • An Ice Person: He fights with fists and ice.
  • Bigfoot, Sasquatch, and Yeti: He's an ice-cold yeti.
  • Defend Command: He was a Defense type Skylander in Ring of Heroes, both pre- and post-revamp, before the game closed down.
  • Goggles Do Nothing: He's given a complementary pair with his Soul Gem upgrade. And they even do nothing to his gameplay besides making his surf attack go faster.
  • Hidden Depths: You wouldn't expect the hulking yeti who smashes things to pieces to be good at ice sculpture, culinary arts of the snowcone variety or juggling, yet he is indeed just that. In fact, he once juggled 17 snowballs, 3 ice ogres and 1 very surprised Gill Grunt
  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: His four arms can pack a punch.
  • The Big Guy: In Spyro's Adventure, he has the biggest strength stat of all the Water Skylanders. Later on, Gill Grunt, Rip Tide and Punk Shock surpass him.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Snow cones. He makes the best in Skylands, although not all of them are good for you.
  • Trap Master: His secondary attack is trapping enemies in ice prisons. The attack will home in on enemies if the button is held down and his bottom path "Glacier Hit" can upgrade them to hurt enemies trapped in them.

Chill has exiled herself from the kingdom until she can regain her honor, and is always keeping an eye and ear out for any news or signs of her queen.

She returns in the Swap Force toy lineup as a Series 2 Skylander called Blizzard Chill. She has a LightCore version of her in Giants.

Debuting in Swap Force

    Rip Tide

Rip Tide

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rip_tide.jpg
"Go fish!"
Voiced by: Patrick Seitz
Primary Attack: Horn Tetra Attack
Secondary Attack: Fish Toss
Tertiary Attack: Whale on 'Em
Soul Gem Ability: Reinventing the Whale
An expert fighter in multiple forms of undersea combat; his skill was so great that it attracted the attention of Master Eon and Kaos. Eon wanted him to join the Skylanders, and Kaos sent a legion of Squidface Brutes to make sure he didn't. No one will forget the smack down Riptide unleashed that day, except for the Brutes, who don't remember much of anything thanks to him.
  • Combat Medic: In Battlecast, his Jellyfish Squall and Fish Feast cards heal his allies.
  • Death of a Thousand Cuts: When wielding his Swordfish, he goes for weak but rapid attacks, and when he throws it to switch his weapons, it deals damage to the enemy it hits over time.
  • Guys Smash, Girls Shoot: He has this relation with Punk Shock, the other Core Skylander to debut in Swap Force. Rip Tide attacks with sea animals that he uses as melee weapons including a giant whale while Punk Shock is equipped with a crossbow and throwable water bombs.
  • Lantern Jaw of Justice: Has a giant chin and fights against the forces of evil.
  • Shamu Fu: He uses a swordfish as an actual sword, and a hammerhead shark as an actual hammer.
  • Stance System: Switching between his weapons constitutes a rather simplistic one.
  • Visual Pun: Riptide's two main weapons are a fish who is also a sword, and a Hammerhead shark, wielded like a hammer.

    Punk Shock

Punk Shock

"Amp it up!"
Voiced by: Tara Platt
Primary Attack: Spark Shock
Secondary Attack: Splash Bomb
Tertiary Attack: Spark Splash
Soul Gem Ability: Eelectrocute
An undersea princess who longed for adventure instead of the quiet life of royalty. One day, returning from one of her excursions, she found her home besieged by Snow Trolls, who were freezing everything. With her electric crossbow, she defeated the invaders and thawed out her kingdom.
  • Electrified Bathtub: Her main two attacks are an electrified crossbow and a water balloon that leaves a puddle of water on the ground. Combine them and you get this.
  • Guys Smash, Girls Shoot: She has this relation with Rip Tide, the other Core Skylander to debut in Swap Force. Punk Shock wields a crossbow that shoots electrical bolts while Rip Tide uses different types of sea animals as melee weapons.
  • Lightning Gun: Actually a crossbow that fires electrified bolts.
  • Rebellious Princess: She prefers going out hunting with her crossbow than lounging around a castle.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: Single-handedly saved her kingdom from an invasion of snow trolls.
  • Shock and Awe: Despite being a water Skylander, almost all of her attacks are electricity based. The ones that are water-based can amplify her electricity based ones.
  • Static Stun Gun: Her Electrified Water attack also paralyzes enemies.

Voiced by: Kimberly Brooks
Primary Attack: Siren Scream
Secondary Attack: Bubble Bombs
Tertiary Attack: Sonic Slam
Soul Gem Ability: Call of the Siren
A seahorse and dragon hybrid born in an undersea kingdom around the Pearl of Wisdom. Echo had trouble living near it since everyone who did had to speak in whispers while she had a gift - and it was loud. When some sea horses claimed the pearl and carried it with an unbreakable bubble, Echo used her gift, which was a sonar blast, to burst the bubble and blow away the sea horses.

    Flip Wreck

Voiced by: Jess Harnell
Primary Attack: Sea Saw
Secondary Attack: Wheeling and Dealing
Tertiary Attack: Wheel Shield Bash
Soul Gem Ability: Sea Slammer
A dolphin from Bottlenose Bay who enjoyed exploring the ocean depths rather than playing in the waves like the other dolphins. When Ice Vikings emerging from a sunken shipwreck came to attack, Flip Wreck made himself a sword, shield and armor out of ship material and drove back the attack.

Giant

    Thumpback

Thumpback

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/thumpback.jpg
"Hail to the whale!"
Voiced by: Dan Neil

Primary Attack: Anchors Away
Secondary Attack: Belly Flop
Tertiary Attack: A Whale of a Chomp
Soul Gem Ability: Blowhard

Thumpback was once a member of the dreaded pirate crew of the Phantom Tide. But he was never really interested in piracy — he instead liked being on a ship for the fishing. His passion eventually got him pulled overboard when he tried to catch a Leviathan Cloud Crab (which turned out to be lucky for him, as this ensured he wasn't on the Phantom Tide when it and its crew were later banished to the Chest of Exile), but he went on to become one of the first Skylanders.

He has a mini version (formerly sidekick) in Trap Team called Thumpling.

  • Anchors Away: On a long chain, turning into an Epic Flail. His first attack is even called that.
  • Belly Flop Crushing: His secondary attack allows him to do this and slide along the ground, with his "Slippery Belly" upgrade allowing him to go further, and his Soul Gem allows him to spray water and starfish out of his blowhole while sliding.
  • Brave Scot: He has a Scottish accent and is gigantic whale behemoth who wields and anchor and uses his brute strength to beat down his enemies. He also took on the Arkeyans (of which he could fit in their palm should one pick him up) without any hesitation. He also used to run with the roughest, toughest and scariest pirate crew purely to use their vessel to fish. If he has anything, it's guts and lots of them.
  • Call It Karma: A good variant. He only joined the Phantom Tide so he could use their pirate ship to go fishing. He wound up getting dragged off the ship and pulled miles away to become the first Water Skylander, while the rest of the crew became trapped inside the Chest of Exile.
  • Defend Command: He was a Defense type Skylander in Ring of Heroes, both pre- and post-revamp, before the game closed down.
  • Inciting Incident: Getting dragged off of The Phantom Tide during an otherwise normal fishing experience is what sets his destiny in motion.
  • Making a Splash: A few of his upgrades involve water.
  • Man Bites Man: His A Whale of a Chomp allows him to do this to enemies with "The Whalest Chomp" upgrade allowing it deal more damage.
  • Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: A Giant Pirate Whale Man.
  • Shamu Fu: His body slam/sliding attack.
  • The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: He fished instead of plundering

Swap Force

    Wash Buckler

Wash Buckler

"Eight legs and no pegs!"
Notable variants: Dark Wash Buckler
Voiced by: John DiMaggio
Primary Attack: Sword Slash
Secondary Attack: Somersaulty
Tertiary Attack: Bubble Blaster (top)/Octolash (bottom)
Soul Gem Ability: On Stormy Seas (top)/Tentacle Carousel (bottom)
Wash Buckler grew up on a pirate ship as an orphan, who convinced his crewmates into doing heroic deeds instead of the usual pillaging and plundering while growing up. And as this didn't sit well with other pirate crews, Wash Buckler defended both his ship and his crew throughout their pirate years.
  • Abnormal Ammo: When upgraded, his gun can fire piranha-filled bubbles.
  • Attack! Attack! Attack!: He was an Attack type Skylander in Ring of Heroes after the revamp, initially being an Expert Type.
  • Badasses Wear Bandanas: He wears a red bandana under his hat, which can be best seen when he wears a different hat instead of his initial hat.
  • Bubble Gun: His flintlock launches bubbles at enemies, and a later upgrade fills them with piranhas, allowing him to whittle away at their health.
  • Bubble Shield: One of his upgrade paths. Slashing a bubble with his sword will cause a bubble shield to surround him that will reduce damage and explode when attached.
  • Charged Attack: One of the upgrades for his top half is being able to charge up his blade to do a Dash Attack. His Soul Gem expands on this, giving it a maximm charge that when reached, makes Wash Buckler send out a watery pirate ship.
  • Combat Tentacles: He can use them to dash forward and roll over enemies.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: As Dark Wash Buckler. He and every other Dark Skylander from Swap Force (with the exception of Spyro who already had a Dark counterpart since the first game) were corrupted by the same Petrified Darkness Kaos uses to evilize the creatures of the Cloudbreak Islands during a mission to stop him from utilizing it. They were able to tame the darkness that got inside them thanks to Spyro, who had already been struck by darkness and learned to control it.
  • Making a Splash: Wash Buckler's flintlock can launch bubbles that trap enemies, and his soul gem lets him form a giant pirate ship made out of water and launch it at enemies.
  • Spin Attack: The Soul Gem ability for his bottom half gives him this attack. The attack button has to be pressed repeatedly after he has done a roll attack for it to start.
  • Starter Mon: He is included in the starter pack for Swap Force and his Dark variant is included in the Dark Edition starter pack.
  • The Leader: He appears to be one of two for the Swap Force with the other being Blast Zone. The two are often the primary swappers shown off.
  • The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: He convinced his old pirate crew to eschew the usual plundering ways of the pirate in favor of freelance heroism.

Primary Attack: Chakram Throw
Secondary Attack: Speedy Skate
Tertiary Attack: Frostcicle
Soul Gem Ability: Winter Chakram (top)/Iceberg Endurance (bottom)
An ice cat decked out like a speed skater, with an icy chakram. When he was young, his family moved from a frozen wasteland to a place filled with lava lakes. This turned out to be quite a difficult adjustment but eventually the ice cat got used to it and even discovered he could ice-skate on any surface... even lava. One day whilst setting a new frozen speed record, Freeze Blade came across Blast Zone, who had been ambushed. After Freeze Blade defended him, Blast Zone was so impressed by his skill in battle that he introduced him to Master Eon, who invited him to join the Skylanders.
  • An Ice Person: He has a few ice-based moves and fights with an ice chakram.
  • Attack! Attack! Attack!: He was an Attack type Skylander in Ring of Heroes, both pre- and post-revamp, before the game closed down.
  • Big Damn Heroes: He saw Blast Zone being ambushed, so Freeze Blade stepped in to help him. This is what got him invited to the Skylanders.
  • Cute Little Fangs: He has small fangs befitting his species as an Ice Cat.
  • Deadly Disc: His main weapon is an icy chakram.
  • Eye Beams: Normally fires a freezing icicle, but with upgrades it becomes a full blown Freeze Ray.
  • Lovable Jock: A speedy ice skater with a lovable and funny personality who's always willing to be a hero.
  • Spread Shot: His chakram can be upgraded to shoot icicles when he throws it.
  • The Gadfly: Gets a kick out of deliberately setting off Night Shift's destructive reaction to hearing a fighting bell, and the face he makes (visible at 0:57) when doing so is priceless.

  • Bow and Sword in Accord: His Traptanium arrow is so large that he can wield it like a sword in melee, provided anything survives his lethal rain of shots.
  • Friendly Sniper: A Trap Master built around precision ranged damage, and his behavior in "The Discovery" trailer indicates he's a rather warm person if you haven't given him a reason to want you locked up.
  • The Leader: For the Trap Team, but Wallop takes up leadership in the opening cutscene and in the "Trapping Kaos" trailer.

  • Expy: Cowl-like shell, martial arts master with a Secret Identity and a deep, growling voice? He's a cape away from being an aquatic Batman. With a ninja owning a restaurant, he may have also reminded a few people of Rioichi Cooper.
  • Fuuma Shuriken: Wields giant, starfish-shaped Traptanium throwing stars.
  • Making a Splash: Of a truly bizarre variety, he can release limitless quantities of scalding steam while in his Boiling state.
  • Punny Name: He's a lobster who lobs stars at enemies.
  • Stock Ninja Weaponry: He primarily uses starfish-shaped shurikens.

Dive-Clops is the twin brother of Eye-Brawl. His bat-wings were blasted off by pirates when he was young, plunging him into the Swirling Sea. He was discovered by an underwater civilization of Jelly Dwarves who built him his dive suit. But when he ventured around a mysterious whirlpool in the ocean, he got pulled in and stayed there for thousands of years before reemerging in the present day.
  • An Arm and a Leg: He's the same species as Eye Brawl's head, but he lost his wings to pirates.
  • Combat Medic: He was a Support type Skylander in Ring of Heroes, both pre- and post-revamp, before the game closed down with his passive leader ability increasing accuracy of every team member who is a water Skylander.
  • Cyclops: His dive suit gives this impression.
  • Faceless Eye: According to his backstory, he's the twin brother of Eye Brawl's head and the limbs are a part of his suit.
  • The Family That Slays Together: He's the twin brother of the Undead Giant, Eye-Brawl's head.
  • Making a Splash: Can open his faceplate to hose down foes with a powerful torrent of water. Being an eyeball, it may or may not be tears.
  • Time Abyss: He's twin to Eye Brawl's head, who was active 10,000 years in the past before being imprisoned in toy form on Earth. This makes him one of the oldest Skylanders in the series.

A penguin defender of the Cloudmelt Glaciers, who had to take shelter in a cave during an avalanche. There he found a Yeti Master who trained him the ancient combat style "Flipper-Fu", turning him into a better warrior than he already was. After he emerged from the cave, he was recruited to become the leader of the Senseis.
  • An Ice Person: Most of his attacks are covered in ice and freeze enemies.
  • Defend Command: Both him and his Shadow counterpart were Defense type Skylanders in Ring of Heroes both pre- and post-revamp. One of his passive abilities called “Most Respected Teacher”, raises the defense for all allies if their Endurance combined is high enough. And if King Pen is in the leader position, then whenever a teammate recovers from being knocked down, they are granted a regenerate effect. If he isn't then that only applies to himself.
  • The Leader: He appears to be the leader of the Senseis.
  • Polar Penguins: He is an anthropomorphic penguin that lived in Cloudmelt Glaciers, as he was a militaristic unit there.
