A SEKAI born from the feelings of Vivid BAD SQUAD, where the Virtual Singers hang out at the Crase Cafe on a street corner that's much like Vivid Street.
  • Cast Herd: Street SEKAI was the only SEKAI to start with four Virtual Singers at launch - Miku, MEIKO, Len, and Rin note .
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Following the game's third anniversary, the Virtual Singers of this SEKAI received new outfits with a noticeably darker color palette than their original debut outfits (except for Miku, who always wore black and dark blue.) Despite this, their goal to help Vivid BAD SQUAD grow and discover their true feelings remains unchanged.
  • Ghost City: Zig-zagged. While Street SEKAI's main inspiration appears to be the real-world street corner Vivid Street, it's implied to stretch out into a large city beyond that, and, as far as the players are shown, lacks any other residents beyond the Virtual Singers. However, there are hints that there may be other visitors, such as Luka mentioning being lost in the crowd.
  • Graffiti Town: The entirety of Street SEKAI is covered in graffiti.
  • Local Hangout: Most of the time spent in the Street SEKAI is at the Crase Cafe, run by MEIKO.
  • Mirror Character: Most of the Virtual Singers serve as this to one or more of the members of Vivid BAD SQUAD. The only exception is MEIKO, whose role as a cafe owner, main mentor to Vivid BAD SQUAD, and guiding parental figure to the group is based on An's father, Ken Shiraishi.
  • Small, Secluded World: It's implied that Street SEKAI is a city-like place with nothing else beyond it, lacking things like trees and rivers, which makes it difficult for the Virtual Singers to replicate the camping experience they observed the members of Vivid BAD SQUAD enjoying in Same Dream, Same Colors.
  • Street Performer: The Virtual Singers (aside from MEIKO, who leans more into her role as a cafe owner than as a singer) appear to be this, as whenever they are seen performing they are usually doing so on the streets of the SEKAI if not at MEIKO's cafe.
  • Vague Age: None of the Virtual Singers' ages are explicitly stated, though it's implied that MEIKO, KAITO, and Luka are adults, as Akito regards them the same way he does other adult characters such as Ken Shiraishi, and Miku is at least implied to be around the same age as the members of Vivid BAD SQUAD. On the flip side, Len and Rin are treated like the youngest members of the SEKAI, and both tend to act like bratty children.

    Hatsune Miku
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vbs_miku_3rd_anniversary.png
Why not walk away while you can?
Debut Appearance
Miku as she appears in Vivid BAD SQUAD's Street SEKAI, where she helps out at MEIKO's cafe.
  • Age Lift: She's explicitly stated to be an adult in the English version. Her age never stated in other translations, but Akito treats her the same as the other characters in his age group, implying she's closer to Miku's default age of 16. note
  • Aloof Big Sister:
    • The most aloof of Miku's SEKAI counterparts, she spends a lot of time doing her own thing instead of getting involved with Vivid BAD SQUAD's problems because she believes they can sort things out by themselves. In Bout for Beside You, however, it's shown that Miku is willing to step in to help if the group can't resolve their issues on their own, such as when she discreetly checked on An at the end of the event.
    • She can also act this way towards the Kagamines, with Len in particular complaining that she tends to leave him behind and treat him like he's Just a Kid. She does show that she cares about them, however.
  • Awesomeness by Analysis: In SEKAI Happy New Year!, she managed to analyze Rin and Len's movement patterns while acting as a referee for their Hanetsuki matches. When Miku finally plays a match, she, along with MEIKO, utterly trounce Rin and Len - who had managed to beat both the Vivids and BAD DOGS - 5-1. The fact that it was Miku's first time playing Hanetsuki makes it all the more impressive.
  • Big Sister Mentor: Her mentor role isn't as prominent as MEIKO's due to Miku hanging back to let Vivid BAD SQUAD handle their own problems, but she occasionally steps in to guide members of the group when they have a problem that they can't resolve, such as in Bout for Beside You.
  • Can't Take Criticism: She's completely oblivious to how bad her cooking is and gets angry when the other characters imply that anything is wrong with it. The other Virtual Singers tend to walk on eggshells when trying to discuss her cooking so as to not upset her.
  • Challenge Seeker: Implied, as she wants Vivid BAD SQUAD to get to a level where they can be her rivals.
  • Character Development: While she started off as a Flat Character that didn't have much to her other than being a "cool and mysterious" version of Miku, her character grows a bit more when she is influenced by Vivid BAD SQUAD's growth and she begins to take an interest in learning new things. She starts helping out MEIKO more in the kitchen, and the players learn that she's a hilariously incompetent cook.
    • She eventually realizes that she's not as good at cooking as she thought she was in Never Give Up Cooking!, when her advice leads Toya to make inedible cupcakes, though she remains determined to keep cooking so she can improve.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: While she's usually down-to-earth, all of her common sense goes out the window when it comes to cooking.
    • While some of her mistakes are Entertainingly Wrong, such as thinking adding more baking powder would make a cake rise more, some are more out there, such as thinking chocolate, cinnamon and miso would make good secret ingredients for a vegetable curry.
    • In her "Brand New Street" story, she offers to repay KAITO for making a track for her by baking him cookies. When he starts to decline, she acknowledges her lack of skill at cooking... So she offers to also make him cupcakes and sandwiches, because if they each scored 30/100, together they'd add up to 90/100.
  • Composite Character: She appears to be an amalgamation of Vivid BAD SQUAD's traits rather than being connected to a specific one. Her Trust Rank titles hint at a few of the things she shares with them:
    • Like Akito, she's a Competition Freak and Sore Loser with a passion for music.
    • Like Toya, she's calm and collected, and a big fan of coffee.
    • Like An, she's stylish (specifically having a feminine and sporty style) and often helps out at the cafe.
    • Like Kohane, she has light-colored twin tails, though Kohane's are a pale blonde and hers are light greenish-blue.
  • Cool Big Sis: To Vivid BAD SQUAD and also to Rin, who admires her for her cool and stylish big sister vibes.
  • Deadpan Snarker: The sassiest version of Miku, she sometimes dishes out blunt, matter-of-fact snark, primarily at Len, KAITO, and Luka.
  • The Dreaded:
    • She's become this in regards to her cooking. After being traumatized from taste-testing her sandwiches, KAITO panics the next time she asks him for a favor and tries to make excuses to get out of it for fear of having to sample her food again. When she offers Vivid BAD SQUAD sandwiches she made, MEIKO has to reassure them that she had help, and so they're probably safe.
    • Played for Laughs in her second Setsubun home screen comment. She and KAITO play the role of the ogres, but everyone finds her aura so intimidating that they throw everything exclusively at KAITO, to Miku's disappointment.
  • I Work Alone: Downplayed. While she's also a street musician like Vivid BAD SQUAD and Rin and Len, Miku doesn't have a partner, and no mention is made of her lack of one despite having a partner being treated as Serious Business by the other characters. However, she isn't opposed to singing with the others and has sung alongside the Kagamines and KAITO before despite not being partnered up with them.
  • Hidden Depths: Despite her air of coolness, she has some silly qualities to her, such as her being incapable of making something as simple as a sandwich. See Lethal Chef below.
  • Leeroy Jenkins: She's notoriously rash in the kitchen, often acting so quickly that whoever's supervising her can't stop her before it's too late.
  • Lethal Chef: When attempting to make sandwiches, she soaked the bread in spicy mayonnaise instead of spreading it, and swung the knife down like a meat cleaver. She did eventually manage to make a good sandwich, after dozens of attempts. Her cooking is so bad that even KAITO doesn't want to be subjected to being her taste-tester again.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Dances seductively along with An, Kohane, and Rin in the 3DMV of "PAIII.Sensation", which is also a song that's explicitly about sex.
  • Nice Girl: Despite her distant personality, she still has Vivid BAD SQUAD's best interests at heart as much as the other Virtual Singers do, and often checks in on them when they're struggling with an issue that can't easily be resolved.
    • She also generally treats KAITO a bit better than the other Virtual Singers in this SEKAI. While she may bluntly point out his flaws and occasionally assumes the worst of him, she doesn't tend to make fun of him or blow up at him like the other Virtual Singers do.
  • Odd Couple: In terms of Virtual Singer/original character pairs, she tends to be paired off with An Shiraishi the most despite there not being any story-related reason for this thus far.
  • The Perfectionist: When it comes to her musical performance, at least. One Area Conversation has Len complaining that she makes him and Rin stay out practicing with her for long periods until she's satisfied.
  • The Rival: Serves as this to Vivid BAD SQUAD along with being their mentor, as she intends to raise them up to one day compete with her.
  • Running Gag: Miku being a terrible cook and being oblivious of it has been a recurring gag since the sandwich incident. In fact, cooking and Miku can't be brought up in the same conversation without everyone looking concerned about the turnout.
  • Sore Loser: According to her Trust Rank titles with Akito, they both take competitions very seriously and tend to be sore losers.
  • Spelling Nazi: She was so bothered by a piece of graffiti that was spelled wrong that she and MEIKO ended up going over it to correct it.
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Leaning more towards tomboy, her appearance and personality call to mind this trope more than her other SEKAI variants. Her default outfit combines the Japanese "Mode" street style with sporty elements in the form of a dress with sneakers. She also wears hooped earrings and has her twin tails tied into a feminine odango-esque style.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Implied to be coffee per her rank 5 Trust Rank title with Toya, "Coffee is Life".
  • Vague Age: Her cool and mature personality makes her come off as a little older than her other SEKAI iterations. However, in JP, her age is never stated and Akito treats her the same as the other characters in his age group.

    MEIKO
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vbs_meiko_3rd_anniversary.png
Just sit back and relax.
Debut Appearance
MEIKO as she appears in Vivid BAD SQUAD's Street SEKAI, where she's the owner of the Crase Cafe. She and Len are the main Virtual Singers of this SEKAI.
  • The Bartender: She's a barista and cafe owner rather than a bartender, but she plays the same role of a confidant who listens to others' troubles and offers advice and guidance while serving them.
  • Berserk Button: She's generally level-headed, but the food and drinks she serves being messed with sets her off, as KAITO demonstrates when he helps himself to samples or attempts to mix the orange juice and melon soda she served him together.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She can be scary when she's angry. In an early Area Conversation, Akito turns down Len's invitation to play a prank on her because he doesn't want to get on her bad side.
  • Cloudcuckoolander's Minder: To both KAITO and Luka after their respective debuts. She also tries to be one for Miku when she attempts cooking.
  • Character Development: MEIKO gradually opens up to the idea of singing with the other Virtual Singers as the story progresses, and by THE POWER OF UNITY, she participates in the event they hosted for Vivid BAD SQUAD.
  • Cool Big Sis: An sees her as one and aspires to be like her.
  • Cool Shades: Had a pair with her initial outfit, though she typically had them hanging from her shirt collar, and was only occasionally seen wearing them.
  • Deadpan Snarker: She often snarks at KAITO and Luka due to their lazy and frivolous personalities getting on her nerves.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Toward KAITO alone. She's warmed up to him over time and she comes to trust him more by Wishing to the Blue Sky for Your Happiness!, where she leaves her cafe in his hands while she's away.
  • Enraged by Idiocy: She's often frustrated with KAITO and Luka and scolds them for their behavior. She's a lot more forgiving when it comes to the younger characters, though.
  • Gameplay and Story Integration:
    • Unlike the other Virtual Singers in Street SEKAI, MEIKO isn't a street performer and prefers to focus on her work in the cafe. It isn't until THE POWER OF UNITY that she begins to engage more with the street music aspect of the SEKAI, participating in the event held by the Virtual Singers and singing with Vivid BAD SQUAD for the first time in the event song "Gekkou".
    • "Kashika", MEIKO's first-ever 3DMV with Vivid BAD SQUAD, came from the event Find A Way Out, despite Luka being the featured Virtual Singer. This is because the second half of the event story centers on a time in the past when Ken Shiraishi gave Akito the motivation he needed to continue chasing his dreams, with his words helping a present day Akito restore belief in himself. MEIKO is a mirror character to Ken Shiraishi, born from Vivid BAD SQUAD's attachment to him and his cafe, making her singing in this event in place of Luka make a bit more sense from an Akito-centric event standpoint.
  • The Leader: She's essentially in charge of what happens in SEKAI since her cafe is the main base of operations, and the other Virtual Singers, who also work at her cafe, work under her. She's also the primary mentor to Vivid BAD SQUAD since Miku is usually off doing her own thing, and Len, while occasionally helpful, is still quite childish. That said, Len and Miku tend to supersede her when it comes to representing the Street SEKAI's Virtual Singer group.
  • Mirror Character: Rather than representing a member of Vivid BAD SQUAD itself, she appears to take more after Ken, being a cafe owner who provides the group with wisdom and understanding. In an early side story, she mentions that the Crase Cafe likely manifested due to the group's attachment to Weekend Garage and Ken.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Has gotten a few cards in this SEKAI that play up her sex appeal. For example, her "Warm Gaze" card.
  • Mythology Gag: The only SEKAI variant of MEIKO that is implied to drink alcohol like popular fanon portrayals. Her cafe serves alcohol, though she doesn't have many customers to serve it to beyond Luka and KAITO, neither of whom are shown to drink. In Petit SEKAI, she laments Kohane not being old enough to drink, which shocks Miku and Len.
  • Out of Focus: Even more so than her other SEKAI iterations in regard to song distribution.
    • She and Rin were the only Virtual Singers to not receive commissioned songs with Vivid BAD SQUAD, with this song drought lasting for well over a year. It wasn't until THE POWER OF UNITY, 8 unit events into the game, that she would sing a commissioned song with her original group for the first time.
    • Unlike Rin, she also received no cover songs with Vivid BAD SQUAD during her original song drought, and wouldn't get her first cover song with the group (or, at least part of it) until "Pheles", which she sings with An, Kohane, and Miku. It was announced for the game's 2023 New Years' Campaign, making her first cover with Vivid BAD SQUAD over 2 years after the game's release.
  • Only Sane Man: Of the three implied-to-be-adult Virtual Singers in this SEKAI, she's by far the most level-headed and responsible, keeping everyone in check.
  • Percussive Maintenance: Does this to fix Len's speaker in one Area Conversation, and encourages him to do the same.
  • Ship Tease: With KAITO, though it appears to be unrequited on his part, if his feelings are romantic at all. That said, she warms up to him over time, and is occasionally shown casting a fond look in his direction.
    • She also went out of her way to write down a very thorough recipe for his favorite coffee blend, because he's the most particular about how he takes it, but also makes the biggest deal over how much he loves MEIKO's coffee.
    • In the April Fools' Day event, while she starts to negatively compare him to his reliable Stage SEKAI counterpart, she quickly reminds herself (and Len) that their KAITO has his good points too. Stage SEKAI KAITO smiles to himself, seeing how much they must cherish his Street SEKAI counterpart.
  • Supreme Chef: Enjoys cooking, and is constantly increasing her repertoire. Both the other Virtual Singers and the members of Vivid BAD SQUAD speak highly of her coffee and desserts.
  • Team Chef: Often plays this role, providing Vivid BAD SQUAD and the other Virtual Singers with food and refreshments.
  • Team Mom: She's this to Vivid BAD SQUAD and her fellow Virtual Singers, with one of Rin's cards showing her appearing to break up a fight between the Kagamines. In general, she's treated as a nurturing figure who supports everyone from the sidelines.
  • Trickster Mentor: In Vivid BAD SQUAD's unit story, she served Akito oolong tea in a whiskey glass while being vague about what the contents were to make him think it really was alcohol, as a lesson that "things aren't always what they seem". This helps to tip him off that Toya was only pretending to no longer want to be his partner so he would move on to someone else.
  • Tsundere: Towards KAITO. On one hand, she's often exasperated by his frivolous antics and is consequently harsher towards him than anyone else. On the other, he's the only person she seems to trust to run the cafe in her absence, and she shows him genuine appreciation in return.

    Kagamine Len
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vbs_len_3rd_anniversary.png
It's time to grind!
Debut Appearance

Len as he appears in Vivid BAD SQUAD's Street SEKAI, where he's a DJ-in-training. He and Meiko are the main Virtual Singers of this SEKAI.

  • Annoying Younger Sibling: Akito treats him like one, despite them not being related.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: He tends to get absorbed in what he's doing and consequently runs late on meeting up with Rin, to her annoyance.
  • Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other:
    • While they fight a lot more here than in any other SEKAI, he and Rin deeply care about each other and always reconcile in the end.
    • While he's usually exasperated with KAITO and gives him a hard time in turn, he has moments where he shows that he does care about him, such as when he took him along to see cherry blossoms before anyone else. He also reassures his other SEKAI counterparts that they do get along after he complains to them about him.
  • Berserk Button: People not following through on their promises to him.
  • Big Brother Worship:
    • Though they're not related, he is always seeking out Akito's approval and views him as some sort of paragon of coolness. His second Trust Rank title with him alludes to their brotherly dynamic. He frequently refers to Vivid Bad Squad as “Akito and the others.”
Toya: I think that event really did let us take a small step towards surpassing RAD WEEKEND. And we have Akito to thank for the hint he gave us.
Len: Way to go, Akito! Woohoo!
      Akito: What's with the cheering...?
    • As frustrated as he gets with KAITO, he admires his abilities as a DJ and sincerely wants to learn from him.
    • He's quick to latch onto KAITO's alternate SEKAI counterparts when he gets to meet them during April Fools' Day events. He's eager to introduce MEIKO to Stage SEKAI KAITO and boast about his accomplishments, and he's only willing to admit that he enjoyed his year at Mikudemy after Wonderland SEKAI KAITO does.
  • Bratty Half-Pint: His I Want to Be a Real Man tendencies aside, his general attitude tends to be this way, especially in his interactions with the other Virtual Singers. He tends to act like one when he doesn't get his way or when he feels slighted.
  • Character Development: While his initial claims about liking it were a front, Len does eventually build up a tolerance for black coffee, much to Akito's surprise. He's also influenced by the growth of Vivid BAD SQUAD, mostly by Akito, to try new things, such as learning how to juggle a soccer ball and taking an interest in drawing.
  • Crazy Jealous Guy: He becomes very jealous when Rin expresses interest in singing with Kohane over him in Bout for Beside You. This mirrors An's fear of losing Kohane as a partner when she begins her mentorship under Taiga.
  • Everyone's Baby Brother: While his age is never officially stated, he behaves like a child and is treated like a younger brother by the members of Vivid BAD SQUAD, primarily Akito and Toya. The other Virtual Singers, save for Rin, also tend to dote on him as though he were a young child.
  • Genki Boy: Excitable and full of energy.
  • Hypocrite: He's hard on KAITO for how lax he is, and hates it when people don't follow through on their promises, but he often gets so absorbed in enjoying himself that he forgets all about his commitments too.
  • Iconic Item: Many of his cards feature cans of spray paint in their trained form.
  • Inferiority Superiority Complex: Acts cocky and arrogant, but is also clearly insecure and trying hard not to be treated like a little kid.
  • I Want to Be a Real Man: He hates being coddled and treated like a child, and tries to do things that he considers "manly", such as trying to drink coffee without milk or sugar, despite initially not enjoying it.
  • Just a Kid: Feels like he gets treated this way, especially by Miku, to his frustration.
  • Like Brother and Sister: His first Trust Rank title with An suggests their relationship is like this.
  • Lost Food Grievance: He blows up at KAITO for eating the ice cream he'd been saving...but forgives him when KAITO offers to teach him how to use the sampler as an apology.
  • Mirror Character: Primarily to Akito:
    • They're both kids who hate being coddled by other characters because it makes them feel like they're being looked down upon.
    • They both have a rivalry with their respective team members. Akito has a rivalry with An, while Len has an established rivalry with Rin, and they both tend to quarrel with their respective rival.
    • Both hold their respective partners in high regard and are quick to sing their praises. Akito's partner is Toya, while Len's is Rin.
    • Both can come off as rather surly at times and have Tsundere tendencies, though they differ in that Len's behavior is attributed to him being a child while Akito's is him being a Jerk with a Heart of Gold.
    • After Akito resolves to make up with Toya in the main story, it triggers Len to do the same with Rin, who he had been fighting with at the same time.
    • Len's characterization seems in line with what the players are shown of Akito when he was in elementary school, right down to his determination and Hot-Blooded personality.
  • Poor, Predictable Rock: He always loses at rock-paper-scissors because he almost always starts with rock, then picks whatever beats his opponent's last move, making it very easy to predict his next move. When this is pointed out to him, he asks how he beat Toya if his moves are so predictable, with Akito's meek reaction implying that Toya lost on purpose.
  • Real Men Take It Black: Subverted. He believes this, so he tries to drink black coffee to show how manly he is, but he ultimately can't stomach it, and wonders how Miku and MEIKO can stand drinking it. He slowly starts to develop a genuine tolerance and enjoyment for it over time.
  • Serious Business: As the only Virtual Singers that are designated "partners", he and Rin tend to take it as seriously as the members of Vivid BAD SQUAD do, despite how frequently they quarrel.
  • Ship Tease: Gets a lot of this with Rin. It comes to a head in Bout for Beside You, where he becomes jealous after Rin expresses interest in practicing singing with Kohane. After she passes up practicing with him, he mopes around Crase Cafe, upset because he doesn't want to share his partner with anyone else. At the end of his side story, he exclaims that he'll work harder to make Rin see him as the best partner she could ever have.
  • Sweet Tooth: Despite trying to downplay it because he wants to be seen as mature and manly, he loves sweets.
  • Tender Tears: He gets upset to the point of tears when Arata, Tatsuya and Koutaro leave Vivid BAD SQUAD in Light Up the Fire.
  • Too Much Alike: He tends to butt heads with Rin because they're both headstrong and stubborn about getting their own way.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: He and Rin are known to order lemon sodas together.
  • Trickster Twins: He and Rin are mischievous and enjoy playing pranks.
  • Tsundere: He shows shades of this due to wanting to be treated as an adult by the others, similar to Akito.
    • He genuinely cares about Rin, but they often quarrel due to both being stubborn and headstrong. In Vivid BAD SQUAD's unit story, while it was clear that both regretted the argument they had, neither wanted to be the first to apologize and he had to be motivated by Akito and Toya making up to apologize in the end.
    • He looks up to KAITO, but due to the latter's personality, most of the time he doesn't want him to know it and doesn't often verbalize the respect he has for him.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Rin. They're partners in the same vein that Akito/Toya and An/Kohane are, but they fight far more than either duo and more than any of their other SEKAI counterparts. Despite this, they're as loyal to each other as the members of Vivid BAD SQUAD are to their respective partners and do care about each other in the end.

    Kagamine Rin
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vbsrin_6.png
Forget about Len! I don't care!
Rin as she appears in Vivid BAD SQUAD's Street SEKAI, where she's Len's partner.
  • Annoying Younger Sibling: Akito treats her like one, despite them not being related. He even compares her to Ena in one Area Conversation.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: She tends to get absorbed in what she's doing and consequently forget about other commitments.
  • Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: While they fight a lot more here than in any other SEKAI, she and Len deeply care about each other and always reconcile in the end.
  • Big Brother Worship:
    • When she's not fighting with Len, she's heaping praise on him, even for mundane things such as his budding ability to take his coffee black.
    • According to the official fanbook, she admires Miku for how cool and stylish she is, and aspires to be more like her.
    • Like Len, she admires KAITO's abilities as a DJ, and is openly amazed in the few instances where he takes things more seriously.
  • Bratty Half-Pint: Bossy, hot-headed, and quick to throw tantrums when she doesn't get her way.
  • Cannot Keep a Secret: She almost lets slip that Kohane had been secretly working on her own track multiple times in Walk On and On.
  • Composite Character:
    • Like Miku, she embodies the traits of multiple Vivid BAD SQUAD members. For example, she's a Genki Girl like An, has Akito's Hair-Trigger Temper, stubbornness, and Tsundere traits, and mirrors the group's Pseudo Romantic Friendships with her partner, Len. She also becomes attached to Kohane after Awakening Beat, similarly to An.
    • An Area Conversation between her and Akito implies that she may be based on Ena to a degree, with this idea being reflected in their Trust Rank title "You remind me of someone..." However, given the fact that Ena and Akito are very similar in personality, to the point of sharing nearly every trait Rin could have adopted from Ena, it's possible that it's just Akito being oblivious to his own flaws.
  • Cute, but Cacophonic: Her voice is very high-pitched, but it doesn't negate her cuteness.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Received a 4☆ card at launch and made appearances in chapters 3 and 4 of the Virtual Singer Street SEKAI main story before appearing in proper Vivid BAD SQUAD story events.
  • Enraged by Idiocy: Has the least patience for KAITO and Luka's lack of maturity, frequently getting angry and telling them to take things more seriously.
  • Everyone's Baby Sister: While her age is never officially stated, she behaves like a bratty child and is treated as such by the other characters, including Vivid BAD SQUAD.
  • Fashionable Asymmetry: Her top and pants legs are uneven on opposite sides.
  • Genki Girl: Excitable and full of energy.
  • The Ghost: Only in Vivid BAD SQUAD's main story. Despite being present in Street SEKAI from the start, she never shows up on screen and is only mentioned in passing by Len until chapter 3 of the Virtual Singers' Street SEKAI story.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: She's usually the one who starts fights with Len because of how quick she is to get angry. Akito compares her to his sister Ena, who is similarly quick to anger, in one Area Conversation. That said, it's implied that this trait comes from Akito, who is the only member of Vivid BAD SQUAD with a temper.
  • Hypocrite: She has very little patience for others goofing off and not taking their commitments seriously when she often gets so absorbed in enjoying herself that she forgets all about her commitments, herself.
  • Lost Food Grievance: Getting between her and her food is a Berserk Button of hers, often arguing with Len over things like him eating her cookie, taking the larger half of a dessert they were sharing, and digging the peach out from a parfait. She's similarly defensive over Len's food, getting just as angry at KAITO as he was when the latter ate Len's ice cream.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Dances seductively along with An, Kohane, and Miku in the 3DMV of "PAIII.Sensation", which is also a song that's explicitly about sex.
  • The Napoleon: Keeps the height of her base form and is the shortest character in the SEKAI. She's also quick to anger, even more so than Akito.
  • Out of Focus: Rin is fairly shafted in terms of content despite having been present in Street SEKAI since launch.
    • Despite already being present in the SEKAI, Rin doesn't show up in Vivid BAD SQUAD's unit story, only being mentioned in passing by Len to let Akito know that he was also quarreling with own partner.
    • Ironically, she took longer than MEIKO to get a commissioned song with Vivid BAD SQUAD, as she didn't sing one with them until The Vivid Old Tale, 9 unit events into the game.
    • Despite having several covers with the group by that point, she was the only Virtual Singer aside from MEIKO to not perform with Vivid BAD SQUAD during their Connect Live events, instead receiving a voice-only cameo with MEIKO at the end of it.
    • Her role in SEKAI as a whole can be boiled down to this, as she doesn't really play that big a role compared to the other Virtual Singers other than being Len's dedicated singing partner and KAITO's lesser DJ protégé, of a sort. Some event stories that have Rin show up more than usual hammer this home:
      • In the Bout For Beside You, after seeing how Kohane has come into her own as a singer, Rin takes an interest in singing with her, cutting off practice times with Len. While this could have been used as a setup to establish that Rin is her own person rather than just Len's partner, the story focuses more on Len's feelings of jealousy surrounding him potentially losing his partner, which mirrored An's developing insecurities concerning Kohane's rapid growth. Rin doesn't really do much beyond acting as a subplot-triggering device.
      • In The Vivid Old Tale, Rin is even more out of focus than the usual Virtual Singer treatment in events due to the majority of the event taking place in a flashback to An's childhood. Her role in the event was to point out something she noticed about the RAD WEEKEND recording, which prompted the group to ask An more about Nagi, thus setting up the flashback storyline.
      • In Walk on and on, Kohane asks KAITO for guidance on how to make her first music track. KAITO does his best to mentor her, while Rin tags along because he's her mentor too, and almost lets it slip that Kohane is working on a secret song.
      • Zig-zagged in Screaming?! Welcome to the Forest of Wolves!. Rin isn't present for most of the event due to it focusing on the cultural festival that was taking place at Miyamasuzaka Girls' Academy. However, she does play a role in helping Kohane track down An, who had run away in terror after being spooked by Kohane's wolf mask.
  • Pet the Dog: While a lot of her interactions with KAITO are her being snippy with him for his tendency to goof off, she does praise him when he takes things seriously. In one Area Conversation in which he and Luka argue over which one of them is more useful, she agrees that KAITO taught her how to sing better, much to Luka's annoyance.
  • Satellite Character: She doesn't play that big of a role in this SEKAI beyond being Len's partner and a source of conflict for him. Even their conflict in Bout for Beside You was primarily focused on how Len's jealousy over her interest in singing with Kohane.
  • Serious Business: As the only Virtual Singers that are designated "partners", she and Len tend to take it as seriously as the members of Vivid BAD SQUAD do, despite how frequently they quarrel.
  • Ship Tease: With Len, more than in any other SEKAI; it sometimes comes off as though she has a crush on him:
    • In "Heated Argument", which takes place after she and Len have finally made up after their fight that lasted through the main story, she says something to Len that almost comes off as a love confession. It doesn't help that Len blushes after she says it:
Rin: Yes, I want you as my partner! I can't imagine having anyone else!
Rin: I would never forgive you if you ever said you wanted to stop being partners!
Len: [blushing] When you say it like that, it's a little embarrassing. But thanks.
Rin: Hehehe. I should be the one thanking you. I hope we remain partners forever!
    • The Japanese version of the confession was even more "shippy", as she says "I want Len! I don't want to be with anyone else other than Len!"
    • When discussing the pair's relationship with each other, An declares that she doesn't see them as siblings but as "partners". Given the way she behaves toward her own partner, and how much ship tease partners, in general, get in the Vivid BAD SQUAD storyline, it wouldn't be difficult to interpret this as An seeing them as a couple.
  • Sweet Tooth: Unlike Len, she doesn't have any hangups about liking a lot of sugar in her drinks, and she also loves sweets such as parfaits and cotton candy.
  • Tender Tears: She gets very emotional about the news that Nagi had passed away a long time ago and Arata, Tatsuya and Koutaro leaving Vivid BAD SQUAD in Light Up the Fire.
  • Those Two Guys: With Len. More often than not, when he's around, she's not far behind.
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Has a brash and tomboyish personality, but also wears a bow and fantasizes about wearing a wedding dress.
  • Too Much Alike: She tends to butt heads with Len because they're both headstrong and stubborn about getting their own way.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: She and Len are known to order lemon sodas together. This is referenced in one of her Trust Rank titles with MEIKO.
  • Trickster Twins: She and Len are mischievous and enjoy playing pranks.
  • Tsundere: Primarily toward Len, swinging between singing his praises and fighting tooth and nail with him over minor incidents. In the side stories that take place during the unit story, she regretted the argument she had with Len but didn't want to be the first to apologize, instead quietly checking in to see if he was in the cafe. When MEIKO takes notice of this, she denies that she's looking for Len.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Len. They're partners in the same vein that Akito/Toya and An/Kohane are, but they fight far more than either duo and more than any of their other SEKAI counterparts. Despite this, they're as loyal to each other as the characters in Vivid BAD SQUAD are to their respective partners and do care about each other in the end.

    KAITO
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vbskaito_4.png
Maybe you could try increasing the tempo.
Debut Appearance
KAITO as he appears in Vivid BAD SQUAD's Street SEKAI, where he's a DJ and Len's mentor.

He first appears in the STRAY BAD DOG event.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: He's notorious for getting sidetracked, especially by MEIKO's food, and forgetting about his duties as the Kagamines' teacher.
  • Big Eater: He's a big foodie, and prone to overindulgence. In "Surrounded By Spring-Colored Sweets", he took so many of the omelets MEIKO made for the whole group that Miku had to start confiscating them from him, to his dismay. He does have his limits, though, as shown in the Area Conversation after he was made to eat dozens of Miku's failed attempts at making a sandwich.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: As talented as he is, he's usually shown goofing around. He's willing to put in the effort for things he's passionate about, such as DJing, anything to do with food and coffee, and researching topics that interest him, and is The Ace at those activities, but he tends to procrastinate on everything else.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Despite his faults and the lack of respect he receives in other areas, he's respected by the other Virtual Singers and Vivid BAD SQUAD for his skills as a DJ. The members of the unit are shown to be blown away by the sounds he produces. He also turns out to be a pretty good cook, much to everyone's surprise.
  • The Bus Came Back: In-Universe, he has a habit of wandering around the SEKAI, which served as an explanation for how long it took him to make his debut. His first side story has MEIKO and Miku welcoming him back, with the implication that he's here to stay.
  • Butt-Monkey: Gets the least respect out of all of KAITO's SEKAI incarnations. He's introduced being chewed out by the Kagamines for mistakenly eating Len's ice cream, and in general is treated like a good-for-nothing Manchild outside of his abilities as a DJ. This is perhaps best exemplified in an Area Conversation in which Kohane shows appreciation for him teaching her how to use a sampler and consideration for his time:
KAITO: (What is this I'm feeling? For the first time in quite some time, it's like I'm being held in some form of high regard...!)
  • Cannot Keep a Secret: Casually told MEIKO about a surprise gift that Kohane and An were preparing for her anniversary in the comics because he wanted to make her smile, to Rin's annoyance.
  • Can't Get Away with Nuthin': Whenever he says or does something irresponsible, or even if it looks like he's saying or doing something irresponsible, expect him to get chewed out for it.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Can come off as this due to his Genius Ditz tendencies. For example, he becomes fixated on pondering the differences between cream soda and melon soda because the carbonic acid sounded slightly different.
  • Commonality Connection:
    • In his side story for STRAY BAD DOG, he's especially excited to meet Toya when he learns that he's a fellow coffee lover.
    • He's also shown to get along well with Luka after her arrival, due to their similarly laid-back and playful personalities.
  • Compliment Fishing: He loves getting praise when he actually does things, and sometimes ends up fishing for it. In his side story for THE POWER OF UNITY, he's distraught when the other Virtual Singers don't have anything to say about the helpful advice he gave to Vivid BAD SQUAD, as they had been too busy preparing for their event and therefore didn't know about it. He's delighted when MEIKO does end up praising him.
  • Composite Character: He combines traits from Akito and Toya and is closely connected to both of them. Outside of his outfit taking cues from both Akito and Toya's styles, his Trust Rank titles also explain which traits he got from each of them:
  • Establishing Character Moment: He's introduced being chewed out by Rin and Len for mistakenly eating the latter's ice cream, establishing him as a careless and irresponsible Butt-Monkey.
  • Everyone Has Standards: As carefree and irresponsible as he tends to be, in The Tomorrow We Hope For, he's shocked when Akito implies that MEIKO tried to give him alcohol, as he's still a minor.
  • Foil: While he mirrors Akito and Toya, he also contrasts their serious and intense passion with his light-hearted and playful personality.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: He's not outright disliked, but he often frustrates the others with his laziness and hedonism, and they've come to typically expect the worst of him and treat him accordingly.
  • The Gadfly: He occasionally messes with the Kagamines, defining regular juggling for them instead of DJ juggling and joking that he'd take mentoring Kohane more seriously than he takes mentoring them. It usually doesn't end well for him.
  • Genius Ditz: He's a skilled DJ, knows a lot about the things that interest him, and has helped MEIKO improve a lot of her recipes according to the comics, but he's also a childish goofball who doesn't think before he speaks or acts. It's implied that he inherited this trait from Toya, who is similarly air-headed despite his intelligence.
  • Genki Guy: Easily riled into childlike excitement, even over something as simple as seeing cherry blossoms.
  • The Hedonist: His main motivation is simply to enjoy himself, even if it comes at the expense of his responsibilities.
  • Hypocritical Humor: He sometimes takes jabs at Luka over things that he's equally guilty of, though not as often as she does to him.
  • The Klutz: Sometimes his energy leads him to make a mess of the cafe's kitchen while he's working in there, such as covering the floor in soap due to trying to wash dishes and dance to music at the same time, or when he gets so excited about making cookies that he accidentally throws flour on the floor.
  • Manchild: Contrasting his default personality and counterparts in the other SEKAI, he is notably air-headed and childish. In one side story, an annoyed MEIKO calls him out and tells him to act his age, whatever that is, and in another, he gets so giddy about cherry blossoms that he comes off as more childish and excitable than Len:
Len: (annoyed) I can see for myself. Also, keep it down. We can't let anyone know that we're here.
KAITO: Haha. Sorry about that. I got a little excited about seeing them is all.
Akito: (amused) Who exactly is the younger one here?
  • Meaningful Appearance: His outfit takes visual cues from Akito's "sporty" and Toya's "artsy" Street style, further establishing his status as a Composite Character of both.
  • The Mentor:
    • He mentors Len and Rin in DJing.
    • He mentors Kohane in sampling music and oversees her progress in Walk on and on as she works on her first original track.
  • Motor Mouth: So much so that it bothers School SEKAI KAITO and Empty SEKAI MEIKO.
  • Mr. Fanservice: Dances seductively with Akito and Toya in the 3DMV of "Ifuudoudou", which is also a song that's explicitly about sex.
  • Mr. Vice Guy: He's very good-natured and affable, but he's also an unreliable slacker who tends to prioritize his own enjoyment over fulfilling his responsibilities.
  • Mythology Gag: He shares his Manchild tendencies, Butt-Monkey status, and habit of eating other people's ice cream with popular fan portrayals of the character.
  • Obsessed with Food: A lot of the trouble he gets himself into comes down to things like eating food that doesn't belong to him, or prioritizing MEIKO's desserts over mentoring Rin and Len.
  • Older Than He Looks: He doesn't look much older than Akito and Toya, who are both first-years in high school, despite being implied to be a young adult. The fact that he's less mature than both of them doesn't help.
  • Once Done, Never Forgotten: His Establishing Character Moment left quite the impression on Akito in particular:
    • When KAITO offers Akito and Toya ice cream in one Area Conversation, Akito immediately suspects that it's someone else's ice cream. This turns out to be the right call, as while KAITO made the ice cream himself, he made it using MEIKO's ingredients without permission.
    • In THE POWER OF UNITY, KAITO gets distracted while the group are talking to him about their problems and rummages in the freezer for ice cream. Assuming he was blowing them off to eat ice cream, Akito chews him out, only to apologize when it's revealed that KAITO intended to make pancakes for them to cheer them up. KAITO laughs it off, understanding why Akito would think that after the first impression he gave them.
    • In Toya's birthday show, an angry MEIKO kicks KAITO out of the kitchen for sampling the cake before it was ready. Later, in Akito's birthday show, KAITO is tasked to keep Akito distracted until the others have finished setting up his party; Akito immediately assumes that he got kicked out again.
    • His Rank 16 Trust Rank voice line with Akito has Akito scolding him about potentially slacking off.
  • Open Mouth, Insert Foot: Has a habit of saying something self-incriminating that will make others angry at him, such as bringing up MEIKO's new dessert immediately after ending a lesson with the Kagamines, making it obvious that he cut them off early just because he wanted to go eat it.
  • Running Gag: Frequently gets in trouble for unthinkingly stealing food from the cafe, using MEIKO's ingredients without permission, and failing to follow through on his promises.
  • Sensei-chan: Gender Inverted. He's Rin and Len's DJ mentor, but they have a casual relationship more akin to siblings, and it's often the Kagamines chiding him for not taking the lessons as seriously as they do.
  • Ship Tease: Subtly implied to have some sort of feelings for MEIKO, though it's never explicitly stated if those feelings are romantic, or if MEIKO reciprocates them if they are.
    • In a side story, KAITO says that MEIKO's coffee is the best, leading to this exchange:
MEIKO: Oh, stop. Flattery won't get you anywhere with me.note
      KAITO: Aww...
    • There's also the Area Conversation where he wants to think of something to do to thank MEIKO for everything she does for him but insists that it has to be something special that she'll appreciate him for, rather than something that everyone else does such as helping out in the cafe. As lampshaded by An, it appears that he wants to impress her more than to actually show his appreciation.
    • In MEIKO's 2021 anniversary 4koma, has KAITO gives away her surprise in an attempt to make her smile, to Rin's annoyance. Meanwhile, MEIKO smiles as she watches over them from behind the cafe's counter.
    • He invites her out for a walk in THE POWER OF UNITY aftershow, seeing how exhausted she was from having to rearrange the cafe to accommodate their event. MEIKO expresses her appreciation for his noticing, eliciting a bashful response from him.
  • Smarter Than You Look: Akito is unable to reconcile KAITO's personality and his skill level as a DJ. He can also be surprisingly insightful for someone who's often criticized for lacking common sense.
  • The Slacker: He's very lazy and tends to put off teaching Rin and Len in favor of goofing off or relaxing at the cafe. He even prides himself on his lack of responsibility, despite his desire to be seen as reliable. In the April Fools' Day Area Conversation he has with his counterparts from the other SEKAI, School SEKAI KAITO points out that this mindset might cause the others trouble, to which he responds that as long as nothing goes wrong, he's free to play around as much as he wants, much to his Stage and Wonderland SEKAI counterparts' amazement.
  • Spotlight-Stealing Squad: Steals the spotlight from his other versions since as of the game's 2.5 Anniversary, he's the only version of KAITO that has gotten cover songs with his group, primarily with Akito and Toya.
  • Supreme Chef: As revealed in THE POWER OF UNITY, he's a surprisingly good cook. Or perhaps not so surprisingly, since there must be some reason why MEIKO usually asks him to run the cafe for her when she has to be elsewhere.
  • Sweet Tooth: Primarily interested in ice cream, though he won't pass up other desserts such as pudding. Miku tells him that he can have all the sweets he wants for his anniversary in 2022. He gets this trait from Akito, who also notably has a sweet tooth; their first Trust Rank title reflects this, being "Boys With Sweet Tooths".
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Ice cream, like most versions of KAITO. That aside, he's also very into coffee, a preference he shares with Toya, who at one point offered to bring coffee over to Street SEKAI for him.
  • Trauma Button: After taste-testing for her, KAITO panics every time Miku and cooking come up in the same sentence, terrified of having to sample her food again.

    Megurine Luka
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vbsluka_7.png
You're not going to run away from a challenge, are you?
Debut Appearance
Luka as she appears in Vivid BAD SQUAD's Street SEKAI.

She first appeared in some music videos and An's Birthday Virtual Live, but her first story appearance is the Same Dreams, Same Colors event.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: She's prone to running late due to getting sidetracked.
  • Attention Whore: Pointed out by School SEKAI MEIKO in the 2022 April Fools' Day event, where she became jealous of the attention Wonderland SEKAI Luka was getting from School SEKAI Rin.
  • Broken Pedestal: Akito starts out having a lot of respect for her, but loses some of it over time upon bearing witness to her immature behavior, in contrast to his relationship with KAITO, who he initially saw as a good-for-nothing, but gained more respect for after getting help from him.
  • The Bus Came Back: After a long absence since appearing in An's 2021 Birthday Show and not being mentioned since then, she finally returns in Same Dreams, Same Colors. The explanation for her absence is simply that she was wandering around and exploring new places.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: In her introductory 4koma, she thought that Vivid BAD SQUAD having experiences in a forest would lead to a forest growing out the back of MEIKO's cafe, or a tree would suddenly grow in the middle of it.
  • Cool Big Sis: Her official description from the 2nd fanbook reveals that she sees herself as a big sister to the members of Vivid BAD SQUAD.
  • Commonality Connection: She's close to KAITO due to their similarly carefree personalities.
  • Distaff Counterpart: She's very similar to KAITO in this SEKAI in that they're both laid-back and carefree, with a tendency of coming and going as they please and causing trouble for MEIKO with their devil-may-care attitudes. Unsurprisingly, Luka and KAITO are shown to get along well after Luka officially joins the group due to their similarities.
  • Double Standard: While Luka is shown to be just as immature, lazy, and irresponsible as KAITO, if not even more so, she is generally taken more seriously than he is, and Akito is generally nicer to her than he was to KAITO when they first met.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Appeared in Vivid BAD SQUAD's SEKAI covers for ECHO, drop pop candy, and Just Be Friends before being properly introduced to the group. She also appeared in An's 2021 Birthday Show and Vivid BAD SQUAD's Halloween Show before making an actual event appearance.
  • Fashionable Asymmetry: Luka wears a thigh-high fishnet stocking on only one leg.
  • Foil: While she mirrors An in personality, she also contrasts Toya:
    • Toya is a man of few words, while Luka is chatty and cheerful.
    • Toya is thoughtful and quite insightful, while Luka is a carefree Womanchild.
    • Toya lacks life experience due to his family depriving him of a normal childhood, while Luka had the freedom to wander and experience new things before settling down in Crase Cafe.
    • Toya dwells on his role in the group and what he can contribute to the team, while Luka decidedly doesn't contribute and is the NEET of the Crase Cafe.
  • Foreshadowing: In "Talking Over Coffee", seeing how bustling the cafe has become with Vivid BAD SQUAD, the Kagamines, and KAITO frequenting it, MEIKO wonders whether Luka will return, 16 events before her official debut in Same Dreams, Same Colors.
  • Genki Girl: She's has a very bright and carefree personality, contrasting her usually more calm and quiet personality in other SEKAI. She appears to get this aspect of her personality from An, who is similarly perky and energetic.
  • Hypocritical Humor: She often makes jokes at KAITO's expense about how unreliable he is when she's shown to be just as much of a slacker, if not even more so since she doesn't have any obligations.
  • I Choose to Stay: MEIKO gives her the option to continue traveling, but she chooses to stay at the Crase Cafe to watch over Vivid BAD SQUAD.
  • Everyone Has Standards: As carefree and irresponsible as she tends to be, she chides MEIKO in The Tomorrow We Hope For when she's led to believe that she encouraged Akito, a minor, to drink alcohol.
  • Meaningful Appearance:
    • She shares her sporty street fashion sense with An, from whom she takes many of her personality traits.
    • The touch of dark blue in her outfit hints at her connection with Toya, who she's been associated with since her debut in Same Dream, Same Colors.
  • Mirror Character:
    • To An Shiraishi. They're both free-spirited Genki Girls who share a similarly sporty fashion sense and are very affectionate and flirty toward the female character they're close to (Kohane for An, MEIKO for Luka). To further emphasize their connection, Luka has appeared in multiple Vivids-centric SEKAI covers and An's 2021 birthday Virtual Live long before she made her official debut in the Same Dreams, Same Colors event, which ironically was not an An-focused event.
    • Even her tendency to make fun of KAITO for his personality despite her similarities to him mirrors An's dynamic with Akito to a degree, as they both also have similar quirks and yet call each other out on them.
  • Ms. Vice Girl: She's very friendly and good-natured, but she's also an immature slacker who tends to prioritize her own enjoyment over anything else.
  • NEET: Luka's the only Virtual Singer that's not been shown helping out at the Crase Cafe, and doesn't have a job outside of it like KAITO's DJ gig. In one Area Conversation, she admits that she doesn't do anything but wander around the SEKAI when she's not hanging out at the cafe, earning silent judgment from Akito and Rin.
  • Never Bareheaded: Notably averted; this is the only SEKAI variant of Luka that doesn't wear a headband of some sort, instead trading it for a pair of gold hoop earrings.
  • Oblivious to Their Own Description: She tends to either make fun of or come down on KAITO for his personality despite sharing many of the same flaws as him. Even Rin, who tends to be the most critical of KAITO, thinks to herself that they're actually very similar after witnessing the two bicker over which of them is more useful.
  • One of the Kids: She tries to be this by hiding in alleyways and jumping out to try and scare Akito and Toya. Unfortunately for her, not only does she fail both times, but this also makes Akito see her as a Womanchild instead.
  • Pink Means Feminine: Hints of hot pink are incorporated into her otherwise lavender and blue accented outfit and she comparatively leans more into the feminine side of her Tomboy with a Girly Streak personality compared to An.
  • The Prankster: Enjoys playing childish pranks such as trying to Jump Scare Akito and Toya, and sticking a note to Len's back.
  • Pretty Freeloaders: Pretty much the only Virtual Singer that hangs around MEIKO's cafe without contributing anything.
  • Remember the New Guy?: She first met Vivid BAD SQUAD in An's 2021 Birthday Show, where she performed drop pop candy alongside An and Kohane. She then reappeared in the group's Halloween Show, where the group acknowledges that they met her before. These meetings were not acknowledged in the event stories, side stories, or Area Conversations that followed until Same Dreams, Same Colors, where the group remembers her and asks where she's been.
  • Rose-Haired Sweetie: Being an incarnation of Luka, she has pink hair and, like the other Virtual Singers, she only wishes to help the members of Vivid BAD SQUAD grow and discover their true feelings while they work toward their goal, discontinuing her travels to do so.
  • Ship Tease: Like KAITO, she's very attached to MEIKO, though it's ambiguous as to whether she's actually attracted to her, or if she simply has an affectionate nature.
  • The Slacker: She doesn't like to bother with mundane activities like chores, and much prefers wandering around and taking in new experiences. She quickly decides she has things to do when MEIKO asks her to help wash the dishes, despite having just complained that she has nothing to do.
  • Sore Loser:
    • She gets upset about coming last at Bingo in her side story for Find a Way Out.
    • In Burn My Soul, she has a friendly sing-off with Akito, not to actually compete, but to help him to loosen up and be able to express himself more, and she cuts it short before either of them could be declared the winner once he's achieved that. Later on, when telling the other Virtual Singers about it, she claims that some things are more important than winning or losing... Until Rin and Miku suggest that, since Akito's grown so much as a singer, Luka may not actually be able to beat him at singing, prompting Luka to immediately demand a rematch to prove them wrong.
    • In an Area Conversation, Luka accuses MEIKO of cheating at Reversi, and demands a rematch because she doesn't want to stop playing until she wins.
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Her outfit evokes this vibe, with a pair of shorts and a multi-layered crop top with a jacket over it, mirroring An's sporty style, although it has more feminine colors, being primarily lavender with pink accents, and a touch of dark blue.
  • Walking the Earth: Before showing up in Same Dreams, Same Colors, she was aimlessly wandering around, going wherever seemed interesting to her at the moment. She still enjoys doing this when she's not at the cafe.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Despite having met the group in An's 2021 Birthday Show and their Halloween Show, she was not mentioned by the group outside of these instances, leaving it up in the air as to whether these meetings were "canon" or not. It wasn't until Same Dreams, Same Colors that their initial meeting was confirmed to have happened and the group lampshaded her absence.
  • Womanchild: She does things on a whim and would rather play around than deal with mundane responsibilities like chores.
