An idol group who overcame unlikely odds. Minori Hanasato, an average high school girl trying to make her big break in the idol business, has her life changed forever when she meets her childhood idol, Haruka Kiritani, formerly from the idol group ASRUN before quitting under unknown circumstances. Joining up with two other former idols, the four newfound friends struggle to deal with the harsh realities of the idol industry and unite as one with the power of the Sekai.

    General
  • 10-Minute Retirement: For Haruka, Airi, and Shizuku, who had quit being idols before being inspired to form a new unit with Minori.
  • Alternate Company Equivalent: Shares quite a few base concept similarities with the Love Live! idol franchise, such as being a group of freelance high school idol girls that practice on a rooftop and Minori being close to a Love Live! protagonist in terms of characterization and color association, seemingly mainly drawing inspiration from Chika Takami and Honoka Kōsaka. As well, Airi is voiced by Ai Furihata, who voices the reddish pink-haired, twin-tailed Ruby Kurosawa from the group Aqours, making the similarities unlikely to be coincidental. Shizuku also happens to have a beauty mark in the exact same spot as Dia Kurosawa.
  • Ambiguously Gay: The game gives Ship Tease between the underclassman and upperclassman pairs, while any interest in boys has yet to be mentioned.
  • Arc Symbol: A three-leaf clover.
  • Cast Herd: They were the third unit to have all of the Crypton VIRTUAL SINGERS appear in their SEKAI:
    • Miku and Rin were Stage SEKAI's starting VIRTUAL SINGERS.
    • Luka debuted in the event story My Color!.
    • MEIKO debuted in the event story You Deserve It! Break Time!.
    • Len debuted in Happy Lovely Everyday!.
    • KAITO debuted in MORE MORE Making Christmas.
  • Color-Coded Characters: As a whole, the unit is associated with the color green.
    • Minori: Peach
    • Haruka: Light blue
    • Airi: Lavender pink
    • Shizuku: Mint
  • Darker and Edgier: Not the unit itself, but they at times will get darker songs to cover. Two notable songs include "Darling Dance", a song about a mentally ill Attention Whore, and "Shoujou Rei", which is about a ghost luring a girl onto the train tracks to commit suicide.
  • Famed In-Story: Haruka, Airi, and Shizuku are all fairly well-known idols from the beginning. MORE MORE JUMP! as a whole also begins to gain a reputation as the story progresses.
  • Floral Theme Naming: The group's members are named after various plants and flowers.
  • Flower Motifs: They're each depicted with flowers in their 2022 birthday cards.
    • Minori: Philadelphia Fleabane, Scotch Brooms, Tweedia, and Bridal Wreaths
    • Haruka: Cosmos and Spider Flowers
    • Airi: Cape Jasmines
    • Shizuku: Fire Thorns and Strawberry Begonias
  • Four-Temperament Ensemble:
    • Perky fangirl Minori is Sanguine
    • Tough and sometimes bossy Airi is Choleric
    • Disciplined and overly hardworking Haruka is Melancholic
    • Gentle and laid-back Shizuku is Phlegmatic
  • Genre Roulette: In terms of SEKAI cover songs, MORE MORE JUMP! possibly has the least consistent setlist of any of the groups. While they do get traditional "idol" pop music, they also get songs like Melty Land Nightmare, Near, and Patchwork Staccato, which are slower-moving and melodramatic. Then there's Nostalogic which, as a techno-pop track, isn't any of the above. Their commissioned songs, however, are more in-line with what one would expect from an idol group.
  • Hope Bringer: Their primary goals as idols.
  • Idol Singer: Their group is designed around this.
  • Image Song: Idol Shin'eitai and MOTTO!!!
  • Jaded Professional: Haruka, Airi, and Shizuku are all former idols who have become disillusioned by their experiences with the industry and are initially resistant to the idea of taking up the mantle again. Minori's idealistic outlook on idols and the SEKAI's nature as a Pocket Dimension separated from reality does eventually pull them back in.
  • Lighter and Softer: Outside of the occasional Darker and Edgier cover song, this group is probably the most light-hearted in terms of music, aesthetics, and story.
  • Meaningful Name: Each member of the group has a surname that references a type of plant:
    • Minori Hanasato: Flower
    • Haruka Kiritani: Empress Tree
    • Airi Momoi: Peach
    • Shizuku Hinomori: Forest
  • Mirror Character: Each member of the unit has a connected VIRTUAL SINGER, with the exception of Minori and Haruka, who have two:
    • Minori: Kagamine Rin and KAITO
    • Haruka: Kagamine Len and KAITO
    • Airi: MEIKO
    • Shizuku: Megurine Luka
  • Nonuniform Uniform: Downplayed, as their idol outfits look more or less the same, but in their character colors. The only exception is Airi's uniform, as her stomach is exposed due to the crop top she's wearing.
  • Sugar Bowl: Their trained illustrations tend to take place in worlds like this, though there are some exceptions such as the world from the event Connecting Painful Hope.

I'll do my best to bring more, more hope to everyone!
Debut Appearance
Childhood Appearance
Voiced by: Yui Ogura
Birthday: April 14 (Aries)
School: Miyamasuzaka Girls Academy
Year: 1st (until 3rd anniversary), 2nd (present)
Hobbies: Copying dances, keeping a diary, caring for animals
Unique Skill: Making catchphrases
Favorite Food: Salmon
Disliked Food: Broccoli
Bad with: Staying calm

Minori is a hard-working and innocent-minded girl. She has dreamed of becoming an idol ever since she watched Haruka Kiritani from the idol group ASRUN perform.
  • Ambiguously Gay: The way she talks about and interacts with Haruka sometimes seems to go beyond simply being a Fangirl. In Time to hang out♪, An says that Minori really likesnote  Haruka.
  • Ascended Fangirl: She's a big fan of Haruka and eventually ends up in the same unit as her.
  • Baby Talk: Slips into childishly slurring her words whenever she's flustered.
  • Best Friend: She and Kohane are described as this, as they were each other's first friends after entering high school and have been close ever since.
  • Born Unlucky: She's had terrible luck in her life, but remains positive in spite of it, after being inspired by Haruka.
  • Butt-Monkey: From often tripping at the worst possible times, to the oftentimes negative reception she gets from the fans of her fellow unit members to her April Fools' Day dialogue, where she reveals that people constantly tell her lies because she looks easy to fool, she gets this in spades.
  • Catchphrase: "Motto motto moooootto ganbaruzo!". This is translated as punctuating declarations of determination with "more, more!" in the global version, which directly inspires the group's name.
    • There's also introducing herself as "Minorinrin~♪" in the Virtual Lives.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: In Time to hang out♪, She gets jealous over how close Haruka and An are due to the two being Childhood Friends. Kohane also admits to her jealousy regarding An's closeness to Haruka, and the two bond over this feeling.
  • Commonality Connection: In the 2022 April Fools' Day events alternate version of Shibuya, she joins the group Fellow Hobbyists on Days Off. which was founded by Mizuki with the intention of hobbyists coming together to discuss and share their interests with like-minded individuals. The other members of this group are Nene and Honami.
  • Cute Clumsy Girl: One of her most prominent traits is her clumsiness, which makes it harder for her to perform as an idol.
  • Crush Blush: Frequently blushes at Haruka.
  • The Determinator: Is willing to do her rooftop training even when it's raining heavily. Haruka has to physically hold her back in the "Passion for Practice" comic. The MORE MORE JUMP! story shows that even though Minori's failed about 50 auditions, she's still willing to pursue her dream.
  • A Dog Named "Dog": She named her Samoyed "Samo-chan".
  • Expy: Being an average high-school Determinator Genki Girl who strives to succeed in all things idols would certainly make her a leading candidate to be a Love Live! protagonist. She's even associated with Orange, the color commonly associated with Love Live protagonists (usually with their hair colors), further solidifying her as this trope.
  • Fangirl: She's a big fan of idols, driving her to become one herself no matter what it took. This trait was so prominent in her that it shows up in her associated VIRTUAL SINGER, KAITO, who is no less adoring of idols.
  • Friend to All Children: In her card story for the Happy lovely Everyday! event, "The Hasty Messenger", Minori is shown to be extremely popular with the elementary school students they visit, to the point that many of them are asking for her autograph, and Minori, in turn, promised each one a unique autograph that the students help design, showing her fondness for children.
  • Friend to All Living Things: She's in the school's animal caretaking committee and proves to do very well there.
  • The Heart: She is considered the indispensable heart of the group, as she was the one who got the other three to want to be idols again.
  • Heroes Love Dogs: She has a fluffy Samoyed named "Samo-chan".
  • The Heroine: Fits this trope more than any other unit "leader" in the cast; while every other unit representative has another character that is just as or even more important than them when it comes to driving the plot progression of the unitnote  Minori is the central character and the main driver of the MORE MORE JUMP! storyline, as well as unambiguously the reason the group is unified.
  • Hidden Depths: Let's Enjoy Together! Spojoy Park! reveals that because she had tried to audition as an idol more than 50 times, Minori had amassed quite the assortment of skills required for each auditions, such as dancing in a roller skate, English, martial arts, and even programming. Even though she failed each and every one of the auditions, Minori at least learned enough to be somewhat proficient in each of those skills.
  • Hope Bringer:
    • It is Minori who gives Haruka, Airi, and Shizuku the hope to become idols once again, and it is precisely because of this that she's included in MORE MORE JUMP! despite not having any real experience as an idol, as she'd already given hope to other people like a real idol would.
    • This is further shown in Hear Me! Hopeful Show event: when she's feeling down and started doubting herself, the ones that helped her perk back up were not her friends at MMJ or the Virtual Singers, but rather the need to bring hope to her first fan that even ordinary girls like them can succeed among other more talented, experienced people. Minori might be lagging behind in singing, dancing or even talking, but this quality of hers is explicitly said to be something that only Minori can do among the members of MMJ.
    • And perhaps an even bigger example occurs in Let's Enjoy Together! Spojoy Park!, where Minori manages to make Kanade realize that her feelings matter - that there are people who cares for her and wants to see her smile and be happy - thus triggering a Character Development for Kanade in a single outing.
  • Iconic Item: The sea otter t-shirt that she wears while practicing. It was made into official merch by Colorful Palette.
  • Identical Stranger: The former idol that sparked Haruka's dream to become an idol herself looks a lot like Minori.
  • Informed Flaw: Outside of her backstory, her bad luck doesn't come up too often, with most of her struggles being attributed to her lack of experience and popularity as opposed to bad luck.
  • The Knights Who Say "Squee!": Continues to fangirl over Haruka, and idols in general, despite becoming an idol herself. A commenter on one of MORE MORE JUMP's early livestreams even described her as "fan first, idol second".
  • Mascot: Less so than Leo/need's Ichika, but she's treated as the representative of her group in the advertising alongside Miku, Ichika, Tsukasa, Kohane, and Kanade.
  • Mirror Character: To Kohane Azusawa from Vivid BAD SQUAD:
    • Both start out as the least experienced members of their respective groups but are quickly established to be the Rookie Red Ranger's once they come into their own as performers.
    • Both are determined to try their best even when they're turned away or looked down upon.
    • Both are the representatives of their respective groups from an advertising perspective.
    • Both are extremely attached to and look up to another member of their group, to the point of coming off as though they have romantic feelings for them.
    • Perhaps coincidentally, both have the highest speaking and voices of their respective groups, though, with Minori, this is treated less like a defining characteristic than it is with Kohane, as with Kohane it ties into her image as a "hamster" girl.
  • Naïve Newcomer: The only member of MORE MORE JUMP! to not have any real experience as an idol.
  • Never Bareheaded: Almost never seen without an accessory of some kind in her cards, whether it be a hair ribbon, hair clips, or hats. The only exceptions are the untrained of her "Smoothie Mixed With Feelings" 3☆ event card, and her child appearance.
  • Picky Eater: She dislikes broccoli.
  • Plucky Girl: No matter how many times she fails, she bounces back with determination and optimism. She still remained hopeful about becoming an idol after failing 50 auditions. Even when she's in a slump and started to doubt herself as a result of all her screw-ups in the Hear Me! Hopeful Show event, negativity from fans, and her lack of improvement performing, she managed to bounce back all by herself the moment she realized she has to give hope to her first fan.
  • Red Is Heroic: Her Color Motif is orange and she's the central character of the MORE MORE JUMP! storyline. She's also considered the representative of her group in advertising.
  • Rookie Red Ranger: By far the least experienced of the group, and is often dismissed as being too plain or lacking an idol aura by the general public, but she's the one who initially brought the group together, and Haruka believes that she may one day outshine them all.
  • Ship Tease: With Haruka, who Minori is a big fangirl of and is all but outright stated to have a crush on. This eventually leads to them going on a double date with another ship-teased pair, An and Kohane in the event story Time to hang out♪.
  • Signature Hair Decs: Almost never seen without her orange and white hair ribbon that holds her braid in place in untrained cards.
  • Super Gullible: According to her April Fools' Day line, she gets targeted a lot because others see her as this.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Contrasting the many cases of Instant Expert in the story. While Minori is good at copying dance moves, she still needs to practice before utilizing them. In Hear Me! Hopeful Show, she's challenged by Nanamin to copy a dance routine by watching, which backfires on her.
  • Vibrant Orange: Her signature color is a pale orange, and she's easily the most idealistic and hopeful of the four.
  • Wide-Eyed Idealist: She took Haruka's former Catchphrase of "Tomorrow will always be a better day" to heart as a child, and wants to become an idol who can give others hope for a better tomorrow too.

    Haruka Kiritani

We'll definitely become idols who bring hopes and dreams to everyone!
Debut Appearance
Childhood Appearance
Voiced by: Mayu Yoshioka
Birthday: October 5 (Libra)
School: Miyamasuzaka Girls Academy
Year: 1st (until 3rd anniversary), 2nd (present)
Hobbies: Collecting penguin-themed merchandise
Unique Skill: Basketball
Favorite Food: Sweets
Disliked Food: Wasabi
Bad with: Being lazy

Haruka is a member of the nationally-acclaimed idol group ASRUN. But, after the group breaks up, she leaves the show business world and returns to school at Miyamasuzaka Girls Academy, the school where Minori attends.
  • 10-Minute Retirement: Retired as an idol at the start of MORE MORE JUMP!'s unit story due to being unable to get on stage without her legs shaking ever since her advice inadvertently led Mai, a fellow ASRUN member, to lose her ability to sing. She gets better with the help of Minori and their Stage SEKAI.
  • Ambiguously Gay: Gets quite a bit of Ship Tease with Minori, who unabashedly has a crush on her. The two go on a double date with another ambiguously gay pair An and Kohane in Time to hang out♪, which is where An says that Haruka also "loves"note  Minori.
  • Animal-Eared Headband: Wears a cat ear headband as a part of her getup for her class cultural festival cat cafe.
  • Best Friend: She and An are best friends, having known each other since elementary school.
  • Big Eater: Not prominent due to her not indulging often, but possibly a result of her strict diet and workout as an idol, Haruka has been shown to have quite the appetite. In two separate area conversations, she orders two of each item off of a menu for herself and Minori, with the latter lamenting in one of them that she can't eat everything.
  • Bishie Sparkle: Tends to emit this when she smiles, combined with Love Bubbles.
  • Boyish Short Hair: Inverted; she has one of the shortest hairstyles among the main cast, but is more traditionally feminine compared to her tomboyish best friend An, who has long hair.
  • Childhood Friends: With An.
  • Clark Kenting: Ichika's 2022 Birthday 4koma shows her wearing glasses in public to avoid being recognized by fans. Even though it hardly changes her appearance, it seems to work well.
  • Curtains Match the Window: Has dark blue eyes to match her blue hair.
  • Even the Girls Want Her:
    • Her dazzling idol smile can even make girls blush and become flustered. Minori especially seems infatuated with her.
    • Time to hang out♪ implies that Kohane is attracted to her to some degree. She gets flustered when Haruka teases her, making An jealous. They also have a Trust Rank title that says "That smile makes me embarrassed".
  • Famed In-Story: Haruka is, bar none, the most well-known character In-Universe aside from the Virtual Singers, being a nationally-acclaimed idol before she quits ASRUN.
  • Friendly Rivalry: With An, dating back from elementary school.
  • The Gadfly: Likes to occasionally tease friends such as An and Airi.
  • Girly Girl with a Tomboy Streak: Very feminine and graceful, but is also very sporty and retains her interest in things like basketball even as an idol.
  • Hidden Buxom: If this card is accurate, Haruka is bustier than she appears at a glance. However, given the way it's drawn in other cards, it's entirely possible that it was a simple drawing inconsistency.
  • Hidden Depths: Despite her cool and mature appearance and personality, she really likes penguins and collects merch of them.
  • Identical Stranger: Downplayed Trope; She resembles a female version of the Virtual Singer KAITO with a slightly lighter palette, which the fandom notices and compares to siblings in appearance. Coincidentally, or perhaps not, KAITO becomes one of her associated Virtual Singers when he eventually enters Stage SEKAI, sharing this role with fellow Virtual Singer Kagamine Len.
  • The Knights Who Say "Squee!": By her group's unit story, she's perhaps the most famous character in the cast, but still longs for and looks up to the former idol that inspired her to become an idol in the first place. Her Colorful Festival story revolves around her seeing an image of that idol in her fragmented SEKAI and chasing her around so that she could thank her for everything she'd done for her.
  • My Greatest Failure: Haruka had given some singing advice to a fellow ASRUN member when she was still a part of it, which caused that member to practice so hard she ended up ruining her ability to sing. Haruka felt so guilty that she found herself unable to sing on stage at all after the fact and decided to quit being an idol altogether.
  • No Hero to His Valet: She's an extremely famous idol, but An, her best friend, doesn't treat her any differently than she would anyone else she interacts with.
  • Palette Swap: During the April Fools' Day 2022 event, she's seen wearing a white and blue recolor of Wonderland MEIKO's red and black default outfit.
  • Perpetual Frowner: She didn't smile very often as a child, even when she was happy.
  • Princely Young Woman: She has a princely aura that attracts even other female characters.
  • Sentai: In the alternate version of Shibuya introduced in the April Fools' Day 2022 event, she joins the after-school group Happiness Squadron Sunny-Sunny☆Wonder! which is themed after Sentai and was formed with the goal of making children smile. In this group, she works alongside Mafuyu, who acts as the group's leader due to being a second-year student, Emu, who founded the group, and Kohane, who joined because she was invited by Emu. Haruka herself joined of her own accord because she liked the concept. Her ranger name is "Stoic Challenger Haruka".
  • A Shared Suffering: She strongly relates to Riho, MORE MORE JUMP!'s fan and composer when Riho finds herself unable to compose after getting a negative comment on a song of hers that had suddenly gone viral, complaining that it was painful to listen to but impossible to get away from. The fear of making people suffer with her music makes her hands shake uncontrollably whenever she tries to compose, no matter how much she wants to. Reminded of her struggles at the start of the story, Haruka is driven to try to help Riho through her ordeal, much like MORE MORE JUMP! had done for her.
  • Ship Tease: With Minori. This eventually leads to them going on a double date with another ship-teased pair, An and Kohane in the event story Time to hang out♪.
  • Shipper on Deck: While she was surprised by An's sudden change in behavior after partnering with Kohane, she's very supportive of their relationship.
  • The Stoic: When she was younger, she wasn't very expressive. An idol helping her to break out of this is what inspired her to become an idol, herself.
  • Sweet Tooth: Loves sweets, but adheres to a strict diet, so she doesn't allow herself to indulge in them very often.
  • True Blue Femininity: Is associated with light blue and is very mature and graceful.
  • When She Smiles: She didn't smile much when she was younger, so when she did, people took notice. Seeing how happy her smile could make others is partly what made her want to become an idol.
  • Workaholic: The fact that Haruka is bad at being lazy says it all. The You Deserve It! Break Time! event story revolves around the rest of MMJ trying to get Haruka to relax for once.

    Airi Momoi
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/airi_3rd_anniversary.png
Wouldn't it be great if we could bring hope to everyone we meet?
Debut Appearance
Childhood Appearance
Voiced by: Ai Furihata
Birthday: March 19 (Pieces)
School: Miyamasuzaka Girls Academy
Year: 2nd (until 3rd anniversary), 3rd (present)
Hobbies: Idol research, shopping
Unique Skill: Cooking, caring for children
Favorite Food: Japanese sweets
Disliked Food: Liver
Bad with: Cats (allergic)

Airi was once a popular idol who appeared in a lot of variety shows. She came across as strong-minded and somewhat pushy, but she truly loved and was both passionate and proud of her work as an idol. However...
  • 10-Minute Retirement: Quit the idol industry at some point before MORE MORE JUMP!'s unit story due to being pushed exclusively as a variety show talent, leading her to not be seen as the idol she'd signed up to be. She decides to try again at the behest of Shizuku.
  • All of the Other Reindeer: As a child, her male classmates bullied her for being a tomboy. The bullying continued even as she began to make moves to grow out of her tomboy reputation into the image of a traditionally feminine girl, with her bullies telling her that she could never become a proper idol.
  • Ambiguously Gay: She gets quite a bit of Ship Tease with Shizuku and blushes in anticipation at the idea of seeing her in a wedding tux.
  • Animal Motif: Cats, in spite of her allergy to them. She's often drawn with a cat-like smile and has a cat motif around her bedroom (Yellow cat clock, black cat chair, yellow cat cushion).
  • Best Friend: She's been Ena's best friend since middle school.
  • Big Sister Instinct: She'd get into fights for her younger sister's sake when she was younger. She also has a protective streak towards the rest of MORE MORE JUMP! despite being around the same age, to the point of starting a confrontation with Cheerful*Days because of the way they treated Shizuku.
  • Boke and Tsukkomi Routine: Increasingly plays the Tsukkomi to Shizuku's Boke.
  • Childhood Friends: With Ena.
  • Commonality Connection:
    • She and Ena are really into fashion and makeup and coach each other on how to take selfies from good angles.
    • In a strange way, her caring for Ena is something she has in common with Akito. It becomes the subject of most of their interactions, and they both have a mutual respect for the roles they respectively play in Ena's life, with Akito being a good brother to Ena for Airi, and Airi being a good friend to Ena for Akito. Even further, Ena is the subject of all three of their Trust Ranks.
Indebted to Ena, Airi about Ena.
You're A Really Good Brother, Airi to Akito, concerning how he looks after Ena.
Still, That Days Promise, Regarding Airi's request to Akito to watch over Ena for her.
  • Cool Big Sis: Has a younger sister and is good with children, as shown in her 1*'s side story.
  • Cute Little Fangs: Often depicted with a little fang when her mouth's open.
  • Curtains Match the Window: Downplayed. Her eyes are a darker shade of pink than her hair.
  • Drill Sergeant Nasty: Towards Minori during training sessions, especially at the start.
  • Feminine Women Can Cook: Her special skill is "cooking". In the event What's On Your Mind? Exciting Picnic! she makes bento boxes for Mizuki, Ena, and Shizuku that are tailored to their preferences. Ena says that the cheesecake she made for her is as elaborate as one that could be bought from the store.
  • Friend to All Children: She's good with children, as shown in her initial card story.
  • Full-Name Basis: Tsukasa refers to her as Airi Momoi. When she questions why he only does this with her, note  he admits that he used to identify her as Happy Everyday due to Saki saying that whenever she saw Airi on TV; when Tsukasa tried to correct this, he ended up developing a habit of calling Airi by her full name.
  • Girl Group: In the alternate version of Shibuya introduced in the April Fools' Day 2022 event, she joins the band Aoharu/friends after quitting being an idol and is performing alongside Saki, Airi, and Ichika. She is the group's bass player.
  • Girlish Pigtails: She has her hair in two half-up pigtails.
  • Girls Love Stuffed Animals: Downplayed, however, Airi has a yellow cat cushion in her room, which looks exactly the same as the one Ena has. According to an official Q&A, Ena and Airi bought matching cat cushions together when they went shopping together in middle school.
  • Girly Girl with a Tomboy Streak: Was a tomboy in her childhood that became more feminine with age, but she still retains some of her tomboyish qualities as a teenager.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: In MMJ's main story, she lashes out at Shizuku over how she is naturally recognized as an idol due to her appearance while Airi is just seen as a comedy talent on variety shows rather than the idol she strove to be. She soon regrets this upon seeing how much she hurt Shizuku.
  • Hard Work Hardly Works: The main story reveals that she gave up her idol status due to the fact that no matter how hard she worked to prove she could be a true idol, she was never allowed on stage and was left as a comedy talent on variety shows. Minori and Shizuku help her change her mind and decide to become the idol she wants to be.
  • I Hate Past Me: Downplayed. Her fes story gives her the opportunity to meet an image of her younger self, who is determined to become an idol for her sister's sake. At first, it seems that Airi resents her younger self's tomboyish qualities and calls her out on them, but immediately relents and apologizes when her younger self is sad. In the end, she encourages her younger self to follow her dreams no matter what anyone says.
  • Irony: Several stories hint that Airi actually likes cats, but avoids them due to her allergies.
  • Kindhearted Cat Lover: She would be if she wasn't allergic to them.
  • My Future Self and Me: In Airi's Colorful Festival story, her fragmented SEKAI allows her to meet a reflection of herself when she was a child.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Immediately regrets lashing out at Shizuku and claiming that she has it easy due to her good looks in a fit of anger and jealousy, especially when it leads to Shizuku quitting the idol industry.
  • Never Bare Headed: Never seen without a hair accessory of some kind, whether it be hair ribbons, hats, headbands, or flowers across her various outfits. That said, she's always seen wearing her yellow hair ribbons by default.
  • Nice Girl: While she does have occasional lapses in judgment such as in the unit story, she's otherwise a fairly kind person to everyone she meets.
  • Odd Friendship: She's Childhood Friends with Ena and managed to remain friends with her into their high school years despite Ena's temperament. The event story What's On Your Mind? Exciting Picnic! gives a little insight into how the two became friends in the first place, as Ena once defended Airi from her classmates that were openly bullying her about her idol activities. It was because of Ena's interference that the bullying stopped, and they have been close ever since.
  • Only Friend: It's implied that she was Ena's only real friend before Ena joined N25 and befriended its members.
  • The Promise: Or, rather, a "request". When they were in middle school, Ena kept her situation with her father a secret from Airi, which began to worry her. Knowing that she couldn't be there as much for Ena because of her idol work taking up time and feeling guilty that she couldn't be despite how much Ena did for her in the past, Airi secretly enlisted the help of Akito, who was also troubled by Ena's situation, to keep an eye on Ena in her place. This is the subject of their third Kizuna Rank, which is titled "Still, That Days Promise".
  • Rose-Haired Sweetie: She has medium pink hair, and Tsundere tendencies aside, she is a caring girl who is a Friend to All Children.
  • Sad Clown: In her previous idol career she was pigeonholed into comedic variety show acts rather than being treated and taken seriously as a proper idol. She was dissatisfied with this and eventually quit being an idol because of it.
  • Signature Hair Decs: Her yellow hair ribbons, which she's never seen without outside of her idol attire and trained outfits.
  • Silly Rabbit, Idealism Is for Kids!: Initially tells Minori she should quit her dream of aiming to be an idol because she can't expect to get anywhere with passion and hard work alone. She eventually changes her mind.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: A variant. Airi actually likes cats. However, she is allergic to them, leading her to deny any mention of liking cats to anybody (with one of her voice lines saying "If only I wasn't allergic to cats..." before cutting herself off). A 1-koma loading screen comic even elaborated on this.
  • Sweet Tooth: She loves Japanese sweets.
  • Team Mom: According to her character profile, her special skills are cooking and taking care of children. Rin also calls her this when she fixes her crooked bow.
  • Tsundere: The lyrics of Newly-Edgy Idols refer to her as "The Tsundere girl, Airi!".
  • Used to Be a Tomboy: As a child, she was known for fighting with the neighborhood boys who upset her little sister. She grew out of it in order to better fit the traditional image of an idol according to her fes story.

Shizuku was a member of a popular idol group "Cheerful*Days". Her fans are all left in awe due to her mysterious and adult-like appearance.

  • 10-Minute Retirement: Resigned from her position at Cheerful*Days, and was intending to quit the industry altogether due to being ostracized by her fellow members out of petty jealousy, until Airi encourages her to keep going.
  • Always Someone Better: Back when she was still an idol in Cheeful*Days with a perfect image, Shizuku looked up to Mafuyu for effortlessly being the perfect girl that she's supposed to be.
  • Ambiguously Gay: Has a very close relationship with Airi and considers Airi to be very important to her. At one point she even expresses interest in seeing the other girl in a wedding dress.
  • Animal Motifs: Her 2022 birthday card features white birds on all of her gifts.
  • Annoying Younger Sibling: Inverted Trope, Shiho sees Shizuku as the annoying one due to how doting she is.
  • Bifauxnen: She looks quite dashing in her wedding tuxedo in Wishing for Your Happiness Upon the Blue Sky!. She even has a Bishie Sparkle.
  • Big Sister Instinct: Dotes on her younger sister, Shiho, who doesn't appreciate all the fuss.
  • Boke and Tsukkomi Routine: Increasingly plays the Boke to Airi's Tsukkomi.
  • Broken Ace: Had the image of The Ace during her time at Cheerful*Days, being presented as a naturally mysterious beauty who excels at everything. However, after leaving the group she no longer has managers writing scripts and editing footage to cultivate that image, leaving her insecure about letting her fans, who are used to her being presented as pristine and perfect, down, especially during live streams.
  • Childhood Friends: Has a few connections from childhood with different groups.
    • Is familiar the entirety of Leo/need due to her younger sister, Shiho. It's implied that she's closer to the group as a whole than Tsukasa is.
    • Is also this to a lesser extent with Tsukasa due to their sisters being best friends. She got to know him during their second year of elementary school, and they sometimes played together in the park.
  • Comically Missing the Point: When Airi jokes that Shizuku would probably somehow accidentally make chawanmushinote  while attempting to make pudding, she takes offense because she prefers chawanmushi to pudding and would probably choose to make that, to begin with.
  • Cuddle Bug: Very affectionate towards her sister Shiho.
  • Curtains Match the Window: Her eyes match her hair color.
  • Cute Clumsy Girl: Not to the same extent as Minori, but still present. While she dances flawlessly on stage, she admits that it takes her longer than others to get to that point, and her spaciness sometimes leads to moments like this.
  • The Ditz: Despite her mature appearance, common sense is not her strong suit, much to Airi's frustration. For starters, she suggests writing on her hands with a scented pen to make her hands smell nice, to which Airi tells her that she should just use hand cream.
  • Endearingly Dorky: How the other members of MORE MORE JUMP! see her goofier qualities, and what they try to get her Cheerful*Days fans to see in the My Color! event.
  • Even the Girls Want Her:
    • She gets quite a bit of ship tease with Airi, who is implied to be attracted to her and was blushing in excitement at the idea of seeing her in a tuxedo in Wishing for Your Happiness Upon the Blue Sky!.
    • An is so taken aback by how beautiful she is after tripping and falling into her arms that she stutters shyly.
  • Foil: She's one to Mafuyu from N25:
    • Both are seen as having a perfect image, but while Shizuku's image is cultivated by her agency and she had trouble maintaining it outside of scripted events - eventually discarding said image in My Color! - Mafuyu's image is cultivated by herself and is effortlessly maintained to the present day.
    • Related to the above, both have a similar public persona that they wear in public, but their real self couldn't be more different: Shizuku's real self is still a Nice Girl, only more ditzy and Endearingly Dorky, while Mafuyu's real self is an Emotionless Girl that is brutally honest and couldn't care less about the things she's praised for.
    • Both are popular in Miyamasuzaka, but while Shizuku's popularity came from her looks and fame as an idol, Mafuyu's came from her reputation as The Ace.
    • Both are in the archery club, but while Shizuku joined because she's interested in improving her posture, Mafuyu joined simply because joining a club is a thing that a high-schooler would do, and the archery club was simply the first to ask her to join.
  • Hopeless with Tech: In one instance, she didn't understand that her phone's screen went black because the battery ran out. When Minori explains this to her, Shizuku is perfectly content to have an explanation while Minori points out she needs to actually charge her phone.
  • Informed Attractiveness: Frequently described as "beautiful", so much so that she manages to make An flustered when she falls into her arms. As well, being So Beautiful, It's a Curse plays heavily into her story. While Shizuku is by no means unattractive, the Generic Cuteness of the game's art style makes it so she's not more or less pretty than anyone else in the cast.
  • Kindhearted Simpleton: She doesn't have a mean bone in her body, but her ditziness can sometimes lead her to make things worse with her good intentions, such as in the You Deserve It! Break Time! event.
  • Long Hair Is Feminine: Her hair reaches below her shoulders, and she's shown to be more traditionally feminine than her tomboyish sister Shiho.
  • My Sister Is Off-Limits: It's implied that she feels this way at several points, such as in An's "Dressed in Pure White" side story where she gets sad at the idea of Shiho becoming a bride someday and even thinks about moving into the same house as Shiho and her future partner. Minori also gets worried that Shizuku will be upset when Shiho hand-feeds her cookies in her "I Think I'm Gonna Lose My Head!" card side story.
  • Nice Girl: One of her most defining traits is how kind she is to everyone she meets. A notable scene demonstrating this involves her giving Tsukasa so many complements that even he got embarrassed.note
  • No Sense of Direction: Her love of walks is incompatible with her terrible sense of direction.
  • No Sense of Personal Space: When it comes to Shiho, to the latter's annoyance.
  • Oblivious to Hatred: While it's less hate and more finding her elder sister annoying, Shizuku is oblivious to the fact that Shiho dislikes how doting she is of her.
    • Averted in MORE MORE JUMP!'s main story, as she was and is well aware that her former unit-mates hold her in deep contempt due to their jealously.
  • One Degree of Separation: Despite this being present in the game as a whole, Shizuku stands out due to being one of two characters who had the most cross-group connections when the game started at three, knowing at least one person from nearly every group on some level whether through school or childhood:
    • She's familiar with everyone from Leo/need due to them being her younger sisters' Childhood Friends.
    • She's acquainted with Tsukasa through Shiho, due to him being the older brother of Shiho's best friend Saki.
    • She met Mafuyu in their first year of high school due to both deciding to join the archery club.
    • The only group she lacked a proper connection in was Vivid BAD SQUAD, which changed much later in the game.
  • Onee-sama: Shizuku is Shiho's older sister and absolutely adores Shiho enough to dote on her constantly, much to the latter's chagrin and annoyance.
  • Proper Tights with a Skirt: Shizuku wears tights with her school uniform, which goes with her image as a mature and cool beauty.
  • School Idol: Her being a legitimate idol aside, Shizuku is incredibly popular in school, to the point where both her 2021 and 2022 birthday card stories and menu dialogues feature a mention of many students lining up just to give her presents. It's possible the only person who outranks her in popularity at Miyamasuzaka may be the actual school idol, Mafuyu.
  • So Beautiful, It's a Curse: The main story and the My Color! event show that Shizuku often feels pressured to act perfect because of the image her looks give her.
  • Statuesque Stunner: She's the tallest of the girls, standing at 168 cm, and she's a well-known beauty.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Inverted Trope; due to their different hair and eye colors, it would be difficult to tell that she and Shiho are sisters if it wasn't outright stated.
  • Tall Poppy Syndrome: She initially got along with her fellow members at Cheerful*Days, but once Shizuku became the center and pulled in more work than the others, the other members began to ostracize her and talk behind her back out of envy, eventually leading Shizuku to quit Cheerful*Days. Airi confronting them later shows that they have no remorse for how they treated Shizuku.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: The girly girl to Shiho's tomboy. Shizuku is a beautiful, softspoken Teen Idol with long hair, whereas Shiho is a blunt and unkempt rocker girl with Boyish Short Hair.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Udon and yuba according to her character profile, but in story she develops a love of miso soup, often drinking it after practice.
  • Walking Techbane: Besides being Hopeless with Tech, she is also this. Telling her not to touch electronic equipment is not enough of a precaution.
  • Younger Than They Look: Looks very mature for a high school student.
