Iustitian Pantheon

    open/close all folders

    General
  • Go and Sin No More: The pantheon has this as part of their modus operandi, owing to their more merciful and measured approach towards villainy and evil. They believe that "true" justice cannot exist without mercy or concern for both victim and perpetrator, and that the latter should be given a chance to repent if they genuinely desire to atone for their actions.
  • Good Counterpart: To the Poenan Pantheon. Unlike the Poenan Pantheon, which generally contains Knight Templars fanatically obsessed of eliminating evil to the point of murdering those believed to have potential for great evil (including children), the Iustitian Pantheon take a measured approach and focus on protecting the innocent and repentant from genuinely wicked individuals. And unlike the Poenan Pantheon, whose members think justice should be unsullied by things like mercy or forgiveness under the belief they condone the existence of evil, the Iustitian Pantheon welcome mercy and forgiveness as part of "true" justice, which sees the innocent and repentant taken care of while genuinely wicked individuals are punished properly for their actions. This is invoked as Princess Bright Eyes/Themis wanted something that could effectively disprove the Poenan Pantheon's fanatical, ruthless views on morality and justice.
  • Knight Templar: Subverted. Princess Bright Eyes/Themis Machina created the pantheon specifically for it to serve as a counterpoint to the Poenan Pantheon and their mortal followers, who are often ruthless, hardline extremists who strive to eliminate evil on all levels, killing even those who are merely believed to have potential for evil.
  • Meaningful Name: The pantheon's name translates to "justice", "fairness" and/or "equity" in Latin. They serve as a Good Counterpart to the Poenan Pantheon in that they see mercy and forgiveness as part of true justice, whereas their Poenan contemporaries see them as obstacles in their pursuit of ruthless, hardline justice.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: The Iustitian Pantheon believe in "true" justice, and thus focus on protecting the innocent from those who wish them harm while giving second chances to the genuinely repentant. They acknowledge that evil and wickedness do need to be punished, but they punish wicked individuals for the sole purpose of preventing them from hurting others and restrain themselves so the punishment is proportionate to the crime. They do not target or persecute even those who are believed to have potential for evil, which in Princess Bright Eyes/Themis' eyes is one of the Poenan Pantheon's biggest failings.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: One Iustitian Cleric issued a blistering chewing-out to the more extreme and radical Poenan worshipers for executing the innocent young children and babies of Canterlot's corrupt nobles simply to prevent history from repeating itself. True to form, even the Poenan Pantheon agreed with the Iustitian Cleric and had their wayward worshipers executed after finding them guilty, with their damned souls being dragged off to the Equestrian Pantheon's Hell-Realms to be tormented eternally for their crimes.
Iustitia Cleric: You hypocrites and butchers! Have you gone so far off the deep end that you are all willing to kill the corrupt nobles' young children to prevent even the slightest chance of evil from surfacing?! Soon the world will know what you have done, and you will have to answer for your moral depravity on your day of judgement!

    Alexio, the Resolute Justice

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant

Portfolio: Justice, Proportionality, Restraint

Rank: Divine (Tier III/Intermediate)

Alexio (his entry here) is the Alicorn/Peacock Siren hybrid god of Justice, Proportionality, and Restraint, and a person who strives to deliver true justice no matter how difficult it is.
  • Abstract Apotheosis:
    • He temporarily became a god thanks to Luminiferous empowering him, giving him the means to end both the Cycle of Revenge and the race war gripping both Pony and Siren communities at the time, and arrest everyone responsible for starting them.
    • Afterward, he would become a student of Luminiferous, who was impressed with his actions and convictions and wanted to nurture his potential for godhood. He eventually succeeed in Ascending, becoming the Alicorn/Peacock Siren hybrid god of Justice, Proportionality and Restraint.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: He's an Alicorn/Peacock Siren hybrid god who embodies Justice, Proportionality, and Restraint.
  • Armor-Piercing Question: Twice.
    • During his mass arrest of everyone who sparked a race war between the Ponies and Sirens, his Siren father tried guilt-tripping him into letting him go by pointing out that Ponies killed his mother. He interrupts his father by glaring and presenting a question that leaves his father in Stunned Silence:
Alexio: (roaring) AND TELL ME, HOW WILL THIS BRING HER BACK?!
    • Immediately after, he gives all of the warring Ponies and Sirens he just arrested a speech that's laden with questions about whether if they were fighting each other because they got caught up in the Cycle of Revenge, or if they just wanted an excuse to express their own hatred and took it.
Alexio: Some of you are here to avenge a dead friend... but how many of you are avenging someone who was avenging someone who was avenging someone? How many of you forget why this even started? And how many of you don't even care, and just wanted to kill someone out of hate? How many of you were just looking for an excuse to kill someone?
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance:
    • His Cutie Mark depicts the scale of justice, a symbol commonly associated with Lady Justice. While he realized that justice must be dispensed towards the perpetrators of a crime, he also realized that the punishment must fit the crime, and that the most important part of justice involves protecting the innocent from the wicked and helping them recover from any harm done to them.
    • His divine barding is noted to have been inspired by police uniforms. This fits his more balanced, merciful views on justice and his hobby of watching buddy cop movies.
  • Berserk Button: Downplayed; he doesn't like people stereotyping him as a flamboyant Proud Peacock just because he's half-Peacock Siren, though he only gets annoyed when they do so.
  • Blue Is Heroic: Being half-Peacock Siren, his coloration is bright, prismatic blue. He's also a stern yet compassionate god who strives to teach the importance of "true" justice (which involves protecting and giving closure to victims of serious crimes as much as it is about punishing criminals), as well as warn people of the consequences of racism and He Who Fights Monsters. He also got his start by helping stop a race war between the local Pony and Siren communities of his childhood, which saved multiple lives from being caught up in a vicious Cycle of Revenge.
  • Calling the Old Man Out: While understanding why his father behaved the way he did, he nonetheless calls out his father (and everyone else) for letting his own grief over his mother's death turn into hatred, which pushed him to murder the racist Ponies who lynched his wife and start an extremely bloody Cycle of Revenge between the Ponies and Sirens. He also arrests his father while empowered with temporary godhood and turns him in to Equestria's rulers at the time to face justice.
  • Chain Pain: As a god of Restraint, he can manifest divine chains (and other forms of restraint like traps) in order to restrain others. This first manifested while he was empowered by Luminiferous with temporary godhood, manifesting divine chains from his peacock tail to arrest both Ponies and Sirens who were involved in creating a brutal Cycle of Revenge between the two races.
  • Cycle of Revenge: He got caught up in one after his mother was lynched by racist Ponies. Out of grief-filled hatred, his father and Siren neighbors retaliated against his mother's killers, in turn provoking retaliation from the Ponies who were related to the victims they killed, until things escalated into an all-out race war. Trying to stop it only got him badly wounded, so he desperately prayed for a god to help him end the Cycle of Revenge. Fortunately, Luminiferous listened and gave him temporary godhood, which he used to stop and arrest the perpetrators of the race war.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: He was born a Pony/Peacock Siren hybrid in a time where racism still existed despite the Windigos being driven off, and thus was subjected to Half-Breed Discrimination to the point where he and his loved ones had to live outside of civilization. His Pony mother was lynched by racist Ponies simply for loving a Peacock Siren, leading to his grieving father and his fellow Sirens murdering said Ponies in revenge. Thanks to his father and neighbors' actions, he gets caught in the middle of a race war that he only manages to stop thanks to a disguised Luminiferous empowering him with temporary godhood after hearing his desperate prayers for help.
  • Death Glare: He gives his vengeful father a glare when the latter tries justifying his crimes by bringing up his mother's lynching.
  • Deity of Human Origin: He started out as a mortal Pony/Siren hybrid who eventually Ascended to godhood as an Alicorn/Siren hybrid god of Justice, Proportionality, and Restraint after training under Luminiferous' wing.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Deconstructed. Having seen for himself what anger and hatred could lead to without the means to properly restrain them, he strives to defy this trope by both dispensing justice when it's needed, and teaching the importance of restraint when punishing evildoers. This influenced his Ascension as a god of Proportionality and Restraint, both which revolve around preventing criminals from hurting others and assessing how much a person should be punished for bad actions.
  • Endearingly Dorky: According to his friends, he is a "total dork" when it comes to police-related media, as he loves watching Buddy Cop Shows and reading Police Procedural books since their appearance in modern cultures.
  • Freudian Excuse: He hates prejudice and Disproportionate Retribution due to losing his mother to the former and seeing the subsequent Cycle of Revenge perpetuated by the Sirens and Ponies over it escalate into an all-out race war.
  • Good Needs Evil: He acknowledges that "Constructive Evil", while still evil, is designed to test the just and punish the wicked for falling short, even if he can butt heads with those who follow it at times. This is likely part of the reason why he refused to join Radiant Rapier's campaign against Malrègnar — he doesn't feel comfortable with its existence, but he acknowledged it needed to be there so the Realms of Vertusia can have something to oppose and temper.
  • Heavenly Blue: His primary coloration is bright, prismatic blue, and he's presently an Alicorn/Peacock Siren god who embodies Justice, Proportionality, and Restraint. In combat, he wears a set of blue armor that he can summon at will, and his divine barding is inspired by police uniforms, which are generally blue. He's also a former student of Luminiferous, who nurtured his potential for godhood after seeing him stick to his beliefs in true justice despite everyone around him being embroiled in a race war.
  • Hero-Worshipper: He had idolized Princess Bright Eyes/Themis for not only her heroics, but also having similarly tolerant views on justice. This is what influenced him to join the Iustitian Pantheon after Bright Eyes/Themis returned from the dead and founded the pantheon to counter the Poenans.
  • Hybrid Power: As an Alicorn/Peacock Siren hybrid, he possesses the combined racial magics of both species.
  • Karmic Jackpot: Despite losing his mother to racist Ponies, he still desired true justice and tried hard to break the brutal Cycle of Revenge between the Ponies and Sirens that followed his mother's death. This caught the attention of Luminiferous, who not only gave him temporary godhood so he could break the cycle, but also took him in as a student once everything was over. His convictions and righteousness eventually allowed him to Ascend to godhood permanently.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Invoked. As soon as he was given temporary godhood by Luminiferous, he proceeded to roar at both sides of the Pony-Siren race war that they're all under arrest, before restraining the guilty parties with magical chains and chewing them out for using an excuse (specifically, his mother's lynching) to start a Cycle of Revenge that hurt innocent people. Then he magically teleported the guilty to the capital of Old Equestria, where they were punished by Starswirl the Bearded of the period as well as the then-current rulers of Old Equestria.
  • Like Father, Unlike Son: While both of them were saddened and enraged by his mother's lynching, his father let his grief turn into hatred, his actions later sparking a bloody race war that threatened to hurt anyone caught up in it. By contrast, he refused to follow his father's example after seeing the consequences firsthand, only resolving to bring true justice to not only punish the wicked for their crimes, but also protect the innocent and help them recover from trauma caused by any harm that was inflicted upon them.
  • Made of Good: He has a green Pony mane made of Justice energy.
  • Magic Hair: He has a green Pony mane made of Justice energy.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Resolute Justice".
  • Morality-Guided Attack: As a god of Proportionality, he possesses the ability to use a criminal's sin against them as a form of punishment that is propotional to their crime.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: Due to being born a Pony/Peacock Siren hybrid, he has traits of both parents, like a bird-like head and feathered front half, bird talons on his front legs, a Pony mane, brown wings, and a large, green peacock tail. After Ascending to godhood, he gained the ability to manifest chimeric traits from all aspects of his parent species it will.
  • Modest Royalty: He wears a rather spartan set of divine barding that is inspired by police uniforms. It's noted he prefers his barding this way.
  • No-Sell: As a god of Restraint, he is naturally immune to spells that cause Hate Plagues, since they involve making him lose control of his emotions and actions.
  • Personality Powers: While he was hurt by his mother's lynching, he realized that reacting to the crime with more violence as his father and neighbors had done only made things worse, so he resolved to dispense true justice to everyone involved. Fittingly, he gained the domains of Justice, Proportionality, and Restraint after Ascending to godhood, which gave him powers that involve stopping the wicked from hurting more innocents and delivering fair punishments that fit the crime(s).
  • Proud Peacock: Averted; despite being half-Peacock Siren through his father, he is a stern yet compassionate god who believes in dispensing "true" justice. A Berserk Button of his is people stereotyping him as flamboyant because of his race, which is one of few things that genuinely annoys him.
  • Revenge Is Not Justice: A major part of his character development involves realizing this. Despite losing his Pony mother to racist Ponies who lynched her for marrying a Siren, he was disgusted when his enraged father and other Sirens murdered the Ponies in revenge, sparking a Cycle of Revenge that gradually evolved into a extremely bloody race war. Desperate, he prayed for a god to help him, and when he was given temporary godhood by Luminiferous, he proceeded to use his divine power to arrest everyone who took part in the racism, including several family members. This later allowed him to Ascend to godhood for real, having seen what unfettered hatred could potentially lead to and wanting to teach the importance of "true" justice (i.e. giving victims closure, protecting the innocent, and stopping the wicked from hurting them).
  • This Cannot Be!: Wounded trying to stop a race war and seeing Ponies and Sirens fighting and killing each other in their Cycle of Revenge all around him, he pulls himself up by sheer force of will and continues to fight to stop the slaughter, proclaiming that he would defy this farce. This conviction and determination for true justice causes Luminiferous to grant him his boon and later take him up as his student.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: He chewed out the Poenans responsible for the "Judgement Day" attack on Ponyville, pointing out that by focusing only on the redeemed Sunnytowners and the Ponyvillers who sheltered them, they let many more wicked people in the world run free. Surprisingly, this earned him support from Dikaiómatos, a moderate member of the Poenan Pantheon, who was similarly disgusted and argued for better prioritization.
Alexio: The world has many wicked that have gone unpunished, why are you wasting your time on the repentant [Sunnytowners] who would do no more harm?
  • What You Are in the Dark:
    • When he temporarily Ascended to godhood with Luminiferous' help, he proceeded to arrest everyone who was involved in sparking the race war between the Ponies and Sirens... including members of his own family. Despite the emotional pain he felt over doing so, he still handed his family members over to both the then-current Starswirl and the rulers of Equestria of his time so all of them could properly face justice for their crimes.
    • Despite being a god of Justice who personally disagreed with Malrègnar's existence and philosophies, he refused to act against Malrègnar because he believed "true" justice shouldn't condemn or persecute anyone based on flimsy excuses like "because they're evil". This is why he chose not to join Radiant Rapier's zealous crusade against Malrègnar, and moved to protect Malrègnar's Princess Acrimonious from Poenan deities who were outraged by her mere presence. This earns Acrimonious' genuine respect.
  • Winged Unicorn: Sort of; he's an Alicorn/Peacock hybrid due to his father being a Peacock Siren, and thus possesses chimeric traits of both races such as the wings, talons, and tail of a Peacock Siren, and a Pony mane, a Unicorn horn, and a Pony's hind hooves.
  • Workaholic: One of his flaws is that he can be a workaholic, often ignoring his own needs in favor of dispensing true justice. This led to his friends forcing him to relax and take breaks many times.
  • Wowing Cthulhu:
    • He impressed Luminiferous with his convictions about true justice and refusing to give into racial hatred, leading to him temporarily ascending with Luminiferous' assistance to stop the race war which followed his mother's death, and later ascended for real under Luminiferous' tuition.
    • Princess Acrimimonious, one of the Princelings of Malrègnar and overseer of its justice system, also respects Alexios for his convictions on justice, pointing out that despite their disagreements over what justice is like, there is actually a lot of similarities between the righteous rage Alexios felt at the sight of injustice and the wrath which she embodies and made her her mother's enforcer/executioner and supervisor of Malregnar's procuratorate system. She also thanks him for being willing to defend her from more puristic justice deities and beings who tried to fight/kill her just for existing (even if it is not really needed and as much to protect them from her.)
  • Your Approval Fills Me with Shame: He respectfully disagrees with Princess Acrimonious' "Not So Different" Remark regarding the similarities between the righteous rage he felt at injustice and the wrath which she embodies as one of the Princelings of Malregnar, as well as similarities between Malregnarian and non-Malregnarian conceptualization of justice.

Monarch Wing/Queen Renascido, the Queen of Second Chances

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Second Chances, Justice, Prejudice

Rank: Godling

Queen Renascido, born Monarch Wing (her entry here) is the Hippogriff goddess of Second Chances, Justice, and Prejudice, and is a benevolent Queen of the kingdom of Hawktalon despite her rather horrifying past.
  • Abstract Apotheosis: She Ascends to demi-godhood by fighting her past life, Queen Gossamer, within her own soul and destroying Gossamer utterly, both in persona and sense of self. Later on, with the help of various benevolent deities, she would Ascend to true godhood.
  • All Your Powers Combined: As a divine Hippogriff, she possesses all the combined magics of both Griffon and Pony tribes.
  • Animal Motifs: She's strongly associated with butterflies, especially monarch butterflies, which symbolize transformation and rebirth. In her mortal youth, her name was Monarch Wing and her Cutie Mark was a monarch butterfly. Leading a rebellion, she defeats and overthrows the tyrannical Queen Gossamer II, marking the end of the Hawktalon monarchy. The moment she is crowned Queen, however, she ends up in a Battle in the Center of the Mind with her past self, Queen Gossamer, who intends to take over her body as a means to continue her reign of terror. She eventually defeats Queen Gossamer by overriding her persona and sense of self, Ascending to demi-godhood and transforming herself into a Hippogriff rather than an Alicorn. After Ascending to demi-godhood (and later true godhood), she assumed the throne of Hawktalon, rebuilt the kingdom as a more tolerant place, and gave Gossamer II a second chance by reincarnating the latter as a baby chick and being the loving mother that Queen Gossamer was not. As a sign of her transformation, her Cutie Mark mutated to include a crown.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's a Hippogriff goddess who embodies Second Chances, Justice, and Prejudice.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: Twofold.
    • Her Cutie Mark was initially a Monarch Butterfly, which later gained a crown once she Ascended to demi-godhood. This not only refers to her Ascension as The High Queen of the kingdom of Hawktalon, but also her status as the Reincarnation of Queen Gossamer and her "rebirth" as a divine Hippogriff by defeating and killing Queen Gossamer's part of her soul and absorbing the remains into herself.
    • Her transformation into a Hippogriff demigoddess not only refers to her acceptance of being Queen Gossamer in her past life, including everything Gossamer did to both Hawktalon's Pony population and her own daughter, but also the reconciliation and coexistence between the Griffons and Ponies in the local area after she rebuilt Hawktalon from the ground up.
  • The Atoner: Sort of. She herself hasn't done anything wrong and knows it, but as the reincarnation of Queen Gossamer and the compassion that her past life rejected, she knows of the horrible things her past life had done. Thus, she sees being a good queen and parent as recompense for Gossamer's sins.
  • Awesome Moment of Crowning:
    • She led the rebellion straight to Queen Gossamer II's castle, using her combat skills, Necromancy, and other inexplicable knowledge to turn the tide against the Hawktalon monarch. She defeats Gossamer II and the rebels celebrate, but she wasn't very comfortable with her victory because her enemy, for all she had done, was essentially an abused child. That's when she receives Gossamer II's crown...
    • She earns her crown for real when she confronts Gossamer's part of her soul within her own mindscape; despite an initally rough time, she eventually realizes that Gossamer's greatest fear is being alone and gains the will to fight back. Through accepting Gossamer's past actions as part of herself, she becomes strong enough to overpower and overwrite Gossamer's existence until the Griffon ex-Queen is rendered Deader than Dead. This not only turns her into a Hippogriff, but also triggers her Ascension to demi-godhood.
  • Bad Powers, Good People:
    • She possesses Necromancy due to being the Reincarnation of Queen Gossamer, allowing her to raise the dead to serve as her armies, and even bind souls to her in eternal service which is what got Gossamer in trouble with the Grand Primevals, as this broke Primeval Laws regarding proper treatment of the dead. She primarily uses it to commune with the dead as she doesn't like using the bodies of the deceased without their souls' permission.
    • As a goddess of Prejudice, she can empower herself with the prejudices of others and spread Hate Plagues. She mainly uses this domain to warn against the dangers of prejudice, as she can also make people feel the pain they have caused others with their prejudices.
  • Battle in the Center of the Mind: After Queen Gossamer is reawakened in her soul, the two have a fight in their soul as Gossamer tries to take over in both mind and body. Monarch Wing initially fares badly against her, but once she realizes Gossamer's greatest fear, she eventually wins, overwhelming and destroying Gossamer's sense of self and persona before absorbing the remains, Ascending to demi-godhood in the process.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She's a kind, loving Queen of Hawktalon who staunchly advocates for racial equality and "true justice" (i.e. being merciful and forgiving to sinners), and is a doting mother to her daughter, Gossamer II. However, while she doesn't like killing, she was trained to be a warrior in her mortal youth and isn't afraid to fight if necessary. She also acknowledges the need to punish those who refuse to repent so they can't harm others anymore. And in order to stop Queen Gossamer from usurping her body and resuming her tyrannical reign, she killed her by completely overriding Gossamer's personal and sense of self with her own, which is a horrible way to die but an extremely Karmic Death for Gossamer. She also has a bit of an "edge" to her personality due to absorbing Gossamer's memories, but she reserves this aspect of her for the genuinely wicked and/or unrepentant.
  • Born Winner: She was born with incredible magic potential far beyond what anyone expected, including the power of necromancy, and possessed in-depth knowledge of other things that only Hawktalon's royal family, Queen Gossamer and her daughter, Gossamer II, possessed. This is because she's the reincarnation of Queen Gossamer, who herself was an incredibly powerful mage and necromancer in life, explaining her inexplicably prodigious power and intelligence.
  • Breaking the Cycle of Bad Parenting: A weird example. As the living compassion that Queen Gossamer was supposed to learn but rejected, she was able to overcome and defeat Gossamer in a spiritual battle, and killed the latter by overwriting her existence until only horrible memories remained. After Ascending as a Hippogriff demigoddess, she proceeded to atone for Gossamer's sins by using her powers as a (then-) demigoddess of Second Chances to reincarnate Gossamer's daughter, Gossamer II, back into a baby chick so she can be the loving mother for Gossamer II that her past life wasn't.
  • Butterfly of Death and Rebirth: She's named Monarch Wing (after the monarch butterfly), and her Cutie Mark depicted a monarch butterfly. She is also the reincarnation of Queen Gossamer, a vile, depraved, and cruel Griffon Autorist who was judged by the Grand Primevals for breaking Primeval Law, but was granted a second chance in hopes of reforming her. While it failed, Monarch Wing, as the compassion Gossamer rejected, was able to defeat and override her past self as the dominant persona, rendering Gossamer Deader than Dead save for Past-Life Memories of her atrocities towards Hawktalon's Pony population. Her good deeds allowed her to Ascend as a Hippogriff goddess of Second Chances, which allows her to reincarnate anyone of her choosing, such as what happened to Queen Gossamer II, whom Monarch Wing reincarnated into a baby Griffon chick to give her the love her abusive mother denied her.
  • A Child Shall Lead Them: She was only a teenager when she took the throne of Hawktalon despite turning into a Hippogriff upon Ascension, and yet she proved herself to be a very good Queen that her past life Queen Gossamer wasn't.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: She grew up in an isolated sanctuary town where, despite living a life protected from Queen Gossamer II's forces, she was still subjected to casual racism by Griffon rebels just for being a Pony. Gossamer II eventually located her home and had it razed to the ground, killing her parents in the process — losing her mother is what triggered her latent but powerful magic. While she eventually rose up and overthrew Gossamer II, her suffering didn't stop there as she ended up in a mental battle with the deceased Queen Gossamer, who turns out to be her past life and wanted to take over her body to continue the atrocities she inflicted on Hawktalon's local Pony population. Fortunately, she powered through and killed Gossamer by completely overriding her persona and sense of self, allowing her to Ascend and become the benevolent Queen of Hawktalon.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: In her mortal life, she was a teenaged Pegasus with orange fur and a black mane and tail, but following her Ascension, she became a Hippogriff (of the Griffon father/Pony mother variety) with the same colors. She also wears black barding that's ornamented with red jewels. Despite this, she's a good queen to her subjects, both Griffon and Pony, and a good mother to her daughter, Gossamer II, whom she reincarnated to give her the life that Gossamer didn't. She's also the living compassion and absolvement that Gossamer rejected.
  • Death Glare: After losing her mother to an attack on her sanctuary town by Gossamer II, she breaks down in fear of loneliness, and gives the attackers a vicious glare before decapacitating a row of zombies with her wing blade.
  • Deity of Human Origin: She Ascended to demi-godhood by defeating and killing Gossamer's part of her soul, overriding Gossamer's sense of self until she no longer existed and absorbing the remains afterward, turning her into a Hippogriff demigoddess. Later on, with help from several benevolent deities, she would Ascend to true godhood.
  • Déjà Vu: While invading the royal palace where Gossamer II resided, she ends up feeling a sense of déjà vu as she led the rebels to the throne room with strange ease. She also accidentally defeated Gossamer II by using necromancy, something that only Gossamer II and her deceased mother, Gossamer, knew. This is because she's Gossamer's Reincarnation, and learning about it from Gossamer's part of her soul initially sends her into a Heroic BSoD.
  • Emotion Bomb: As a goddess of Prejudice, she can make bigots feel the pain their prejudice has caused others. Being who she is, she mostly uses this ability to teach others a lesson on the dangers of racism, as she herself grew up witnessing them as a filly.
  • Fantastic Racism: Due to Queen Gossamer's depraved cruelty and Hawktalon's deeply-entrenched racism against Ponies, she was discriminated against from the day she was born even by Griffons who recognized that Ponies didn't deserve to suffer the way they did. When confronted by Gossamer's part of her soul within her own mindscape, Gossamer is completely disdainful of her, seeing her entirely as weak, pathetic prey who's only good as livestock for "apex predators" until she manages to fight back. While she did succeed in making friends of her own, she resented the mistreatment and her experiences led to her despising racism and prejudice of all kinds.
  • Forgiveness: Despite having suffered personally under Gossamer II's rule and even lost her parents during Gossamer II's attack on the sanctuary town she grew up in, she ended up pitying and forgiving her foe once she realizes Gossamer II was essentially an abused, psychologically broken Griffoness who never knew love. Her feelings are validated when she learns Gossamer saw Gossamer II as a "disappointment" and intended to turn her daughter into her host to come Back from the Dead through. By the time she Ascends to demi-godhood, she compassionately adopts Gossamer II as her daughter after reincarnating her into a baby chick so she could have a second chance at life.
  • God Is Good: Despite her being a goddess of Prejudice and the reincarnation of a monstrously cruel and depraved Griffon Autorist Queen, she's a genuinely benevolent divine Queen who wants equality for all races and believes that everyone deserves a second chance to repent, since it's impossible for someone to be completely wicked even spiritually. She's also the loving mother of Gossamer II, whom she reincarnated as an innocent baby chick so Gossamer II could have the chance to live a good life as she should have.
  • God of Good: She's a Hippogriff goddess of Second Chances and Justice, which both lend to her belief that true justice comes from giving people mercy and second chances, and that there is no such thing as being inherently wicked even in one's soul.
  • Good Counterpart: To Queen Gossamer, who once ruled Hawktalon back when it was a Griffon Autorist kingdom. Gossamer was a depraved, cruel, and xenophobic Griffoness who essentially saw Ponies as livestock and had even their children served as delicacies. This eventually got her in trouble with the Grand Primevals when she attempted to condemn a Pony mare to eternal slavery even in death, denying her innocent soul a proper place in the Heaven-Realms. Monarch Wing/Renascido was a mortal Pegasus Pony who grew up in an isolated sanctuary town guarded by Griffon rebels, was subjected to even casual racism by said Griffon rebels for being a Pony, and was ultimately the one who confronted and defeated Gossamer's daughter, Gossamer II. Monarch Wing/Renascido's compassion for her fellow creature regardless of race, even Gossamer II, is eventually what saves her when she is pulled into a Battle in the Center of the Mind with Gossamer herself. Despite being brutalized in the beginning, Monarch Wing/Renascido later deduces Gossamer's greatest weakness, allowing her to defeat and kill both Gossamer's persona and sense of self. After everything, Monarch Wing/Renascido becomes Queen of Hawktalon, with the kingdom becoming racially tolerant under her rule, and adopts Gossamer II as her own daughter after reincarnating the latter as a baby chick to give her a fresh start.
  • Good Parents: After Ascending to demi-godhood by killing Gossamer's part of her soul, she would take in Gossamer II and reincarnate her as a baby chick and raise her like her own daughter, giving her the love and care that Gossamer II's birth mother denied her. She would also protect Gossamer II from people who try to judge her for the vile crimes she committed pre-reincarnation.
  • Hate Plague: As a goddess of Prejudice, she can spread this to cause people to become prejudiced and intolerant towards others. Being who she is, she mostly uses this ability to teach others a lesson on the dangers of racism, as she herself grew up witnessing them as a filly.
  • Hates Being Alone: She suffers from monophobia, the fear of being alone due to her past life as Queen Gossamer being a lonely, hollow existence. In her mortal youth, after her mother died at the claws of Queen Gossamer II's soldiers, she sobbed that she didn't want to be alone, triggering her Traumatic Superpower Awakening.
  • Heroic BSoD: She does not take learning that she was born the reincarnation of Queen Gossamer, one of the cruelest and most depraved Griffon Autorist sovereigns to ever live very well, and spends most of her time hyperventilating while fighting Gossamer's part of her soul, causing her to get brutally thrashed by the latter. However, once she realizes Gossamer's greatest fear, she gradually accepts everything Gossamer was in life as part of her, and uses that epiphany to defeat, kill, and assimilate the latter into herself.
  • The High Queen: After Ascending to demi-godhood (and later true godhood) and assuming the throne of Hawktalon, she becomes the kind, tolerant, and loving Queen that her predecessor, Queen Gossamer, was not. She rebuilt her kingdom and formed alliances with cosmopolitan countries, like Griffonstone and the Principalities of Equestria. She used Gossamer's memories that she absorbed after killing her past life to hunt down Gossamer's surviving psychopathic followers and bring them to justice. And lastly, she is a loving mother to Gossamer II whom she reincarnated back into an innocent baby chick to give her a loving upbringing that Gossamer denied her daughter. She despises racism and prejudice due to her foalhood experiences, and as a goddess of Prejudice, she uses her domain to encourage racial equality by teaching people the harmful effects of racism.
  • I Am What I Am: A huge factor in her victory over ex-Queen Gossamer is accepting both her existence as the Grand Primevals' mercy towards Gossamer, and all the horrible things her past life inflicted on Hawktalon's Pony population. This allowed her to not only defeat Gossamer, but also kill her by flooding her with her own memories, overriding Gossamer's persona and sense of self until she is reduced to nothing but horrible memories.
  • Immortality Begins at Twenty: Subverted. When she first Ascends, she becomes a demigoddess, making her an infant by divine standards. With help from other benevolent deities, she Ascends to true godhood as a "Godling", which is a step up from demi-divinity but still makes her rather young according to the divine hierarchy.
  • Immortal Ruler: She's presently a Hippogriff goddess, as well as the ruling Queen of Hawktalon after destroying Queen Gossamer's persona and sense of self within her own soul.
  • Kid Hero: She was a teenager when she got swept up in the wider conflict between Gossamer II and the Hawktalon rebellion, making her a little older than most examples.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Queen of Second Chances".
  • Mama Bear: As Gossamer II's mother, she would protect her daughter from people who try to judge her for the crimes she committed prior to being reincarnated as an innocent newborn chick.
  • Meaningful Name: Her birth name, Monarch Wing, not only refers to her namesake butterfly Cutie Mark, but also her status as Queen of Hawktalon. And as butterflies are associated with rebirth, her name can also refer to her being a goddess of Second Chances with the power to reincarnate others as well as her being the completely benevolent Reincarnation of the Autorist Griffon Queen Gossamer.
  • Meaningful Rename: Her birth name was Monarch Wing. After Ascending to demi-godhood, she would take the throne of Hawktalon as Queen Renascido, which translates to "reborn" in Portuguese. This not only refers to her domain of Second Chances, which allows her to reincarnate people, but also her status as Queen Gossamer's good Reincarnation.
  • Necromancer: She was inexplicably born with the power of necromancy, which she had little control over when she was a mortal. This allowed her to (accidentally) defeat Gossamer II, who possessed the same power thanks to being taught by her mother, ex-Queen Gossamer, and was surprised an outsider learned the same magic. This is due to being born as Gossamer's reincarnation, as part of the Grand Primevals' judgement to make her learn compassion. She later gains considerable skill in wielding it by the time she becomes a true goddess, but doesn't like using it and only does so with permission from the dead - and even then, she primarily uses necromancy to commune with the dead.
  • Off with His Head!: After breaking down over the loss of her mother, she proceeds to retaliate against her sanctuary town's attackers by decapacitating a row of zombies with her wing blade.
  • Oppose What You Suffered: She despises racism and prejudice of all kinds, having been subjected to it as a filly by Griffon rebels who still retained bigoted mindsets to a degree despite realizing it was wrong. After Ascending to demi-godhood and assuming the throne of Hawktalon, she would rebuild the kingdom, hunt down Queen Gossamer's surviving psychopathic followers, and encourage racially tolerant attitudes in her subjects. And as a goddess of Prejudice, she uses her domain to teach people the harmful consequences of racism and other forms of prejudice.
  • Our Gods Are Different: She's an "Ascendant" deity, the rarest of the three main types of deities in the Codexverse, and she gets Stronger with Age due to deities possessing a biology completely different from mortals'. Despite being born a Pony, she Ascends as a divine Hippogriff instead of an Alicorn because she killed her past self, Queen Gossamer, by destroying her persona and sense of self, transforming herself in the process. She is presently a "Godling", the equivalent of a young deity by divine standards, because she Ascended in the Fourth Age.
  • Our Griffons Are Different: After Ascending to demi-godhood and destroying Gossamer's part of her soul, she became a divine Hippogriff, but of the "Pony mother, Griffon father" variety where she has a beak-shaped Pony muzzle and an overall lighter build that allows for greater speed and agility.
  • Parental Abandonment: Her mother died when Queen Gossamer II launched an attack on the sanctuary town they lived in out of racism towards Ponies, and it's implied her father died in that attack as well.
  • Past Experience Nightmare: Despite having come to terms with Queen Gossamer's horrible actions and existence as her good Reincarnation, she is still traumatized by them to the point of often having nightmares about them.
  • Personality Powers: Her domains of Second Chances, Justice, and Prejudice come from her beliefs in true justice (i.e. giving mercy and second chances to repentant sinners, while punishing those who are genuinely wicked and/or unrepentant), as well as her desire to spread racial equality by teaching the harm prejudice can inflict on others.
  • Plagued by Nightmares: Since foalhood, she was plagued by nightmares about a young Queen Gossamer practicing dark magic, eating Ponies, and raising the dead. The rebels sheltering her village took this to mean she was sent by a higher power to save and/or help them. They're partially correct; she's actually Queen Gossamer, reincarnated into a Pony by the Grand Primevals in their attempt to make her learn and understand compassion. It failed as Gossamer remained unrepentant, and ends up having even her sense of self obliterated in a spiritual battle. While she later comes to terms with her nightmares, she still suffers from them as she absorbed Gossamer's memories and holds a lot of trauma from seeing them.
  • Power Incontinence: She can use necromancy due to being ex-Queen Gossamer's reincarnation, but as a mortal, she had little control over it.
  • Raise Him Right This Time:
    • As a goddess of Second Chances, she possesses the power to reincarnate others to ensure they had a good life the next time around. This includes souls of the dead, but generally requires her to receive permission from Death deities to reincarnate them. She used this power to reincarnate Queen Gossamer's daughter, Gossamer II, back into an innocent baby chick to give her a second chance at life.
    • She herself is an example. She was Queen Gossamer reincarnated by the Grand Primevals into a Pony in order to make her learn and understand compassion for others. It didn't work as Gossamer remained unrepentant, cruel, and depraved, and it is Monarch Wing who became the compassion that Gossamer rejected. When Gossamer tried usurping her in mind and body, Monarch Wing fought and ultimately defeated her, reducing the Autorist Griffon Queen to nothing but horrible memories that she absorbed into her soul afterwards.
  • Reincarnation: Invoked and played straight.
    • As it turns out, she's actually the monstrous Queen Gossamer, who was reincarnated by the Grand Primevals at the request of one of Gossamer's victims to give her soul a second chance at life to be a good person. This explains why she was born the night Gossamer died, and why she held memories and possessed powers associated with the cruel Griffon Queen like necromancy. It didn't work as Gossamer remained unrepentant, which later enabled Monarch Wing, the compassion that Gossamer rejected, to defeat and kill her in such a way that the latter was reduced to nothing more than horrible memories that Monarch Wing absorbed.
    • As a goddess of Second Chances, she has the power to reincarnate people as newborn infants, which saw her travelling to Hell-Realms (with their overseers' permission) to grant repentant souls a second chance at life. However, this power requires permission and/or aid from either Death deities or the person being reincarnated to work. This is what she did to Gossamer II, having realized the latter grew up not knowing what love is and wanting to give her a second chance so she could learn what it's like to be loved.
  • Semi-Divine: She Ascended to demi-godhood by defeating ex-Queen Gossamer within her own soul and utterly destroying Gossamer's sense of self before absorbing the remains. She would later Ascend to true godhood with the help of various benevolent deities.
  • Sympathy for the Devil: Despite having personally suffered under Gossamer II's reign and working with the local rebellion to overthrow her, she came to see Gossamer II as a psychologically broken child who behaved the way she did thanks to a horrifyingly abusive upbringing, while she herself was lucky to have Good Parents growing up. After Ascending to demi-godhood, the first thing she did was use her domain of Second Chances to reincarnate Gossamer II back into a baby chick and lovingly raise her as her own daughter.
  • Traumatic Superpower Awakening: She lost her parents during Gossamer II's attack on the Pony sanctuary town she lived in with her family and friends. Seeing her mother's corpse provoked such grief and fury in her that she manifested magic that was shockingly powerful than anyone else's.
  • Upbringing Makes the Hero: Despite being subjected to even casual racism by the Griffon rebels who protected her and her fellow Ponies, and losing her parents to Gossamer II's attack, she still managed to become a good, emotionally well-adjusted person thanks to her parents and friends' positive influence. This gave her the empathy to sympathize with Gossamer II and deduce Gossamer's greatest weakness during a spiritual battle, allowing her to defeat and kill her past life. When she Ascends to demi-godhood, she becomes The High Queen of Hawktalon, rebuilding it from the ground up to make the place racially tolerant.

    Detective Jasione Maigret

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Justice, Tracking, Intelligence

Rank: Godling

Detective Jasione Maigret (his entry here) is the Mephagriff hybrid god of Justice, Tracking, and Intelligence, and is a fair and just detective who comes from a long line of detectives dating back to the First Age.

Princess Center River, the Constructive Malice

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Malice, Hatred, Acting

Rank: Godling

"Sapients are foolish, selfish, and weak. And that's why I need to protect and guide them. To prevent their mistakes, to mediate their selfish desires, and to punish evil. I've decided to accept it all, the beautiful and the ugly."

Princess Center River (first introduced here) is the Siren/Ornithinia hybrid goddess of Malice, Hatred, and Acting, and is a rather odd yet constructive member of the Iustitian Pantheon.
  • Adaptational Badass: Though not a Reflector, Mao Ninagawa's malice is powerful enough to become a tangible force, and she not only has Fragments that grant supportive abilities, but she has a unique ability called "Call and Execute", which involves her commanding an airstrike on the Sephirot. Here, she's not only a Siren/Ornithinia hybrid with the combined magics of both races, but also became a Dark Magical Girl after a chance meeting with Princess Winter Opera. She eventually Ascended to godhood as the goddess of Malice, Hatred, and Acting.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Downplayed. Compared to Mao Ninagawa, a school bully who (grudgingly) came to respect and aid the main protagonist, she became a constructive goddess who guides people's selfish and/or malicious impulses towards constructive ends, like directing a kleptomaniac to become a Robin Hood-style thief or a professional tester of defense systems. Being adopted by someone who genuinely cared for her after dealing with Abusive Parents helped improve her mindset a lot.
  • Adaptation Species Change: Mao Ninagawa is an ordinary human girl. Here, she's a Siren/Ornithinia hybrid.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's a Siren/Ornithinia hybrid goddess who embodies Malice, Hatred, and Acting.
  • Anti-Hero: This is what she gradually turned into. While still rough around the edges, Winter Opera's positive influence caused her to soften her misanthropic beliefs, instead seeing sapient creatures as needing help in avoiding a self-destructive lifestyle. After spending time as a Dark Magical Girl and later Ascending to godhood with "evil" domains, she uses her powers to help people use their selfish instincts constructively, like turning a kleptomaniac into a Robin Hood-style thief or professional tester of defense systems.
  • The Bully: In her mortal youth, she was a manipulator who tricked her classmates into committing crimes, believing everyone to be selfish and rotten deep down. She would change her views somewhat after meeting Princess Winter Opera, giving herself the duty of redirecting people's selfish impulses towards constructive ends.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: Deconstructed and played for drama. Because of her Abusive Parents' selfishness, she became a misanthropic and cruel bully who believed all sapient creatures are rotten to the core, and frequently tricked her classmates into committing crimes. However, her beliefs were Necessarily Evil to a degree, as she thinks the only way to deal with people's selfish impulses is "guide the flow" towards smaller acts of evil. Meeting Princess Winter Opera caused her to realize her views of sapientkind were somewhat inaccurate and change them so she now directs people's selfish impulses towards constructive ends, though she never lost her edge.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Her birth parents were abusively selfish, which contributed to her misanthropic belief that all sapient creatures are rotten to the core deep down and turned her into a manipulative bully.
  • Dark Magical Girl: Her malice is so powerful that it made her talented in wielding dark magic. This let her become a "Dark Magical Filly" of the Anti-Hero variety after meeting Princess Winter Opera.
  • Deity of Human Origin: She was once a mortal Siren/Ornithinia hybrid who eventually Ascended to godhood thanks to Winter Opera's influence.
  • Expy: According to Kendell2, she's based on Mao Ninagawa from Blue Reflection. Both had horribly abusive and selfish parents whose actions led to them being ostracized, turning her into a misanthropic bully who tricked her classmates into committing crimes out of belief that all sapient creatures are rotten to the core deep down. However, a chance meeting with Princess Winter Opera, who sympathized with her past, led to her becoming a better person, if still rough around the edges.
  • God Is Evil: She's a Siren/Ornitinia hybrid goddess of Malice, Natred, and Acting who sees all of sapientkind as, in her words, "foolish, selfish, and weak". However, this belief drives her need to protect and guide them so she could prevent their mistakes, mediate their selfish desires, and punish evil.
  • God of Evil: Subverted. While a goddess of Malice and Hatred, she specifically embodies the act of guiding such concepts towards constructive purposes, like turning a kleptomaniac into a 'Robin Hood'-style thief or a professional tester of defense systems.
  • Happily Adopted: She would be adopted by Princess Winter Opera, who sympathized with her becoming the way she was as a result of her past mistreatment. This was a major improvement for her and, while still remaining rough around the edges, improved her overall temperament.
  • Humans Are Bastards: In her mortal youth, she was a misanthrope who believed all sapient creatures are rotten to the core deep down, and the best they can do is guide their selfish impulses/natures towards smaller acts of evil. While she would become more merciful later on, she has taken on the duty of helping people redirect said impulses for constructive purposes, even if it sometimes means leading them down 'Constructive Evil'
  • Hybrid Power: She's a Siren/Ornithinia hybrid goddess, and thus has the combined powers of both races.
  • Madden Into Misanthropy: Her Abusive Parents' selfishness contributed to her becoming a misanthrope, believing that all creatures are rotten to the core deep down and the best one can do is guide their selfish impulses/natures towards smaller acts of evil. Consequently, she became a Manipulative Bastard who tricked her classmates into committing crimes, but an encounter with Princess Winter Opera caused her to realize her views were partially inaccurate.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Constructive Malice", due to being a goddess who embodies Malice and Hatred yet helps people direct their worst impulses and feelings towards constructive ends.
  • Manipulative Bastard: In her mortal youth, she was a manipulative bully who tricked her students into committing crimes, believing everyone is selfish deep down and the only way to deal with it is "guide the flow" towards smaller acts of evil. She changed her stance somewhat after meeting Princess Winter Opera, becoming a protector of sapientkind who instead directs people's selfish/malicious impulses towards more constructive ends.
  • The Power of Hate: Her malice is so intense that she could use it as a tangible, damaging magical force. Part of why Princess Winter Opera became interested in her is because her malice made her a natural at wielding dark magic.
  • A Shared Suffering: Part of why she got adopted by Princess Winter Opera is because the latter sympathized with her bitter, angry mindset that resulted from her mistreatment and drove her to commit spiteful acts.
  • Token Evil Teammate: She's the only member of the Iustitian Pantheon who embodies evil concepts like Malice and Hatred, but she uses her domains for constructive purposes. Notably, she helps prevent crimes and rehabilitates criminals by guiding theim towards constructive careers, like turning a kelptomaniac into a 'Robin Hood'-style thief or a professional tester of defense systems. She also uses her domains to punish and even flat-out destroy those who refuse to repent and stick to 'Destructive Evil' instead.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Downplayed. Thanks to Princess Winter Opera, she softened her misanthropy towards sapientkind and stopped tricking them into committing crimes, but she still saw them as "foolish, selfish, and weak" creatures who need both guidance and protection from their own vices. She resolves this by helping them redirecting their self-destructive instincts in constructive ways, even if it means leading them into "Constructive Evil".
  • Villainous BSoD: An encounter with Princess Winter Opera caused her to realize her misanthrophic views of sapientkind were partially inaccurate. While not changing her ways entirely, she resolved to help people redirect their selfish, self-destructive instincts in constructive ways, instead of tricking people into committing crimes like she used to.

Princess Clementia Iustitia, the Healer of Grudges

Classification: Ethereal

Portfolio: Forgiveness, Spiritual Healing, Making Amends

Rank: Godling

"Grudges are like wounds - if you keep picking at them, they will never heal."

Princess Clementia Iustitia, born Princess Lampyridae/Firewing (her entries here and here), is the Dragon/Changeling hybrid goddess of Forgiveness, Spiritual Healing, and Making Amends, and is one who plays a crucial role in ending the eons-long Changeling-Dragon feud.
  • Affectionate Nickname: As a young grub/whelp, she called Moon Ray "Unka Moo-Moo" due to him being one of her Honorary Uncles.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's a Changeling/Dragon hybrid goddess who embodies Forgiveness, Spiritual Healing, and Making Amends.
  • Armor-Piercing Question: She receives one from Blacktip and Sacred Swan, who both asked her if she wanted her parents, Ember and Thorax, to die off, too, since they are respective members of the Dragons and Changelings she hated so much. This forces her to realize the harm she was inflicting on her parents with her racism, and she tearfully apologized to Ember and Thorax for her behavior.
  • Barrier Warrior: As a goddess of Spiritual Healing, she can manifest spiritual energy as barriers.
  • Breath Weapon: Being part-Blue Fire Dragon through Ember, she can breathe fire that is much hotter than a typical Fire Dragon's, but at the cost of having poorer stamina.
  • Cheerful Child: She was a very cheerful and happy baby in her infancy, with many wondering if she is capable of developing a grudge. Even in her early youth, she was a rather innocent child, enjoying playtime with the Redeeming Six whenever they visited her and later enthusiastically showing a bedridden Moon Ray Vaughoof her latest drawing while visiting him. Sadly, thanks to repeated experiences with Half-Breed Discrimination from both members of her parent races and beyond who hated her for existing, she became increasingly bitter and angry until she desired the extinction of both Changelings and Dragons out of hatred.
  • Children Are Innocent: Being a baby goddess at the time her first entry was written, she had no knowledge of what the Changelings or Dragons did in the past, and thus was incapable of holing a grudge towards either race. She notably cried after the respective deities of both races got into a heated "custody battle" over her, triggering an "empathy wave" that caused both sides to feel the pain they inflicted on each other. Sadly, despite Thorax and Ember's efforts to protect her from their people's racial grudge, however, she nonetheless was exposed to it through both Changelings and Dragons' attempts to either kill her or kidnap and indoctrinate her into siding with them, which left her increasingly jaded and bitter to the point where she desired both sides to be rendered extinct for their "collective stupidity".
  • Commonality Connection: It is strongly believed in-universe by many that she might befriend Prince Sparkling Wing once she grows up, as they are both empathic deities who embody peaceful divine concepts, and have the potential to bring everyone together.
  • Cynicism Catalyst: After repeated exposure to Half-Breed Discrimination from Changelings, Dragons, and other races on account of her being a Dragon/Changeling hybrid, the final straw was learning how the Changelings and Dragons treated Princess Apertus and her parents. This shattered her innocence and made very angry and bitter, believing that neither the Changelings or Dragons deserve to live or be redeemed since in her eyes, their actions spoke for themselves. However, she snaps out of it once Blacktip and Sacred Swan ask her if she wanted Thorax and Ember to die off, too, causing her to realize the harm she was inflicting on her parents with her racism.
  • Divine Parentage: At the time of her "birth", her father, King Thorax, was a demigod like all Royal Changelings (save for those who managed to Ascend to true godhood like the Zeroth Spawns) are.
  • The Empath: As a goddess of Spiritual Healing, she has "spiritual empathy", which allows her to sense what is hurting someone spiritually. This means she possesses a spiritual version of the Emotion Bomb ability that allows her to inflict spiritual pain upon others, which emerged when she was a baby. Being half-Changeling also allows her to sense love and feed on it to get stronger.
  • Emotion Bomb: As a goddess of Spiritual Healing, she possesses "spiritual empathy", which allows her to make an "empathy wave" that inflicts spiritual pain upon others. This manifested in her infancy as a response to both the Royal Changelings and the Draconic Pantheon fighting over who gets to keep her, causing both sides to feel the pain they were inflicting on each other through their racism-fueled grudge. Later on, during the "Talon Bàis War", she unleashed another empathy wave on a squadron of Talon Bàisian Griffons who tried to kill her for being a Dragon hybrid, forcing them to feel her emotional distress over being attacked and making them vulnerable to being defeated.
  • Emotion Eater: This is part of what makes her so powerful; her part-Changeling heritage allows her to feed on love like all Changelings and give herself temporary power boosts.
  • God of Good: She's a Changeling/Dragon hybrid goddess who embodies Forgiveness, Spiritual Healing, and Making Amends — domains that are very important in helping the Changelings and Dragons overcome their eons-long racism and grudge and make amends with each other. Her very existence has attracted many benevolent deities who are interested in ending the Changeling-Dragon feud, such as Luminiferous and Canteros.
  • Harmful to Minors: As a baby, she was exposed to racism for the first time when both the Royal Changelings and the Draconic deities started fighting over her in a "custody battle" upsetting her so much that she cried and unleashed an "empathy wave" that defused the conflict. But despite Thorax and Ember's efforts to protect her from their respective people's racial grudge, she was continuously exposed to racism, whether through the Changelings and Dragons who either wanted her dead or on their side, or other creatures who also wanted her dead for similarly racist reasons. This eventually culminated in her learning of the tragedy of Princess Apertus while still young, causing her to write both Changelingkind and Dragonkind as lost causes who deserved to die.
  • Healing Hands: As a goddess of Spiritual Healing, she can heal spiritual wounds, making her very important in helping those who were injured spiritually by malicious entities and wicked spellcasters who specialize in spirit magic. It's noted that while she can use spiritual energy in other ways, her strongest abilities, as her domain's name indicates, lie in healing.
  • Heavenly Blue: Her appearance is mostly colored blue, and she's a goddess who embodies Forgiveness, Spiritual Healing, and Making Amends. She also has interracial parents who eventually Ascended to true godhood, and is the collective honorary 'niece' of the Redeeming Six, a group of eldritch Alicorns who specialize in helping people earn redemption.
  • Holy Hand Grenade: As a goddess of Spiritual Healing, she has purification abilities that can cure spiritual corruption, among other things.
  • Hybrid Power: Similarly to Apertus, her Changeling/Dragon hybrid heritage makes her incredibly powerful when compared to her parent races. Her Changeling side gives her illusion and shapeshifting-based powers, and the ability to empower herself by feeding on love. Her Dragon side gives her the elemental magics of all Dragon types, though she is specificaly half-Blue Fire Dragon through Ember, giving her fire powers that are much hotter than a typical Fire Dragon's. Being a full-fledged goddess also helps with this.
  • Immortality Begins at Twenty: Subverted. She's a "Godling", which by divine standards is the equivalent of an infant (or at least very young) goddess in the Codexverse. This factors into her overall strength, making her extremely weak compared to older deities while still being stronger than mortals and demi-deities, even though being a Dragon/Changeling hybrid makes her very powerful.
  • Karmic Jackpot: She's one for Thorax and Ember, being a "Karma Baby" created by the positive karmic backlash of both their refusal to perpetuate the Changeling Dragon grudge, and their choice to forgive the divine progenitors of their respective races for their actions in the bloody feud. Her birth was as such an unexpected yet positive event that it got many deities interested in her potential, including Luminiferous, who directed Moon Ray Vaughoof to her to help her grow as a goddess. Princess Cadence even comments on it.
Princess Cadence: A lot of things can happen when one forgives, but we definitely didn't expect a baby god as one of those things!
  • Made of Good: She's a goddess of Forgiveness, Spiritual Healing, and Making Amends, as well as a "Karma Baby" born from Thorax and Ember's act of genuine forgiveness towards the Changelings and Dragons. She even has a translucent mane composed of Forgiveness energy.
  • Made of Magic: She's a "Karma Baby", born from Thorax and Ember's joint-decision to separate themselves from the Changeling-Dragon feud and genuinely forgive the deities of their respective races for all the horrible things they've done. Her entries classify her as an "Ethereal" deity, a type of deity who embodies abstract concepts in contrast to Elemental deities.
  • Magic Hair: She has a translucent indigo-blue mane made of Forgiveness energy.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Healer of Grudges", due to being a goddess whose domains revolve around helping people overcome their grudges and reconcile with those who wronged them.
  • Master of Illusion: Being part-Changeling through Thorax, she can produce illusions. Thorax being a Changeling mutant makes her powers far stronger compared to pureblooded, non-mutant Changelings.
  • Meaningful Name:
    • Her joint-name is a twofold example — her Changeling name, Lampyridae, is the scientific name of fireflies, referring to her young age and potential. Her Draconic name, Firewing, has similar connotations.
    • Her current name, Clementia, refers to the Roman goddess Clementia, who (among other things) embodied forgiveness, redemption, and mercy. Fittingly, she's a young goddess of Forgiveness, Spiritual Healing, and Making Amends who has the potential to reconcile both Changelings and Dragons and end their racist feud for good. Clementia also means "gentleness" and/or "mildness", and she's a compassionate person who wants to help people overcome their trauma so they could forgive their tormentors and gain closure.
  • Meaningful Rename: After helping Princess Apertus overcome the trauma of her first life and Ascend to true godhood, she joined the Iustitian Pantheon and changed her birth joint-name, Lampyridae/Firewing, to her current one, Clementia. It's noted this is to establish her own independence and refusal to take sides in the Changeling-Dragon feud, instead wanting to help both so their feud could finally end.
  • Mind over Matter: She has psychic telekinesis, learned under the Redeeming Six (and, according to rumors, Changeling Queen Ganglia Tauren-Avalon of Hive Chiron).
  • Modest Royalty: Despite being a Princess, she is generally naked save for a purple scarf given to her by one of her honorary "uncles", Moon Ray/Canticum.
  • No-Sell: As a goddess of Forgiveness, she can nullify spells fueled by hatred and bitterness.
  • Oral Fixation: Justified as she was a baby at the time, but she started chewing on "Unka" Moon Ray's watery mane at one point, which worried King Thorax until Moon Ray assured him that it's fine.
    King Thorax: Uh...
Moon Ray Vaughoof: Hehe, don’t worry. Lots of youngin's do it all the time.
  • Playing with Fire: Being part-Blue Fire Dragon through Ember, she can breathe and manipulate fire that is much hotter than a typical Fire Dragon's, but at the cost of having poorer stamina.
  • Psychic Powers: In addition to both spiritual and psychic empathy granted by her domains, learning under the Redeeming Six (and, according to rumors, Changeling Queen Ganglia Tauren-Avalon of Hive Chiron) gave her other psychic powers like telepathy, psychic telekinesis, and teleportation.
  • Purple Is Powerful: She wears only a purple scarf given to her by Moon Ray/Canticum, and she's a young Changeling/Dragon hybrid goddess who, due to her heritage, inherited the powers of both parent races, making her stronger than pure-blooded Changelings or Dragons. And as a goddess of Forgiveness, Spiritual Healing, and Making Amends, she is a huge boon for those who are suffering from grudges, especially the Changelings and Dragons, whose eons-long racial feud had hurt a lot of innocent people and squandered many chances for reconciliation (and, for the Changelings, a cure for their love-hunger) for thousands of years.
  • Telepathy: She has telepathic powers, both as part of her domain of Making Amends and her training under the Redeeming Six. The former in particular lets her sense what's preventing people from reconciling with each other.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Being part-Changeling through Thorax, she can shapeshift. Thorax being a Changeling mutant makes her powers far stronger compared to pureblooded, non-mutant Changelings.

    Reinigen, the Purifying Reaper

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant

Portfolio: Death, Purification, Justice, Release

Rank: Godling

"Even among the dead, there are those who are genuinely evil or too far deep in their own mind to be saved. The only thing we should do is stop them before they hurt any-creature else."

Reinigen (first introduced here) is the Ryujin goddess of Death, Purification, Justice, and Release, and is a benevolent goddess whose duties involve judging wicked souls and purifying corrupted ones so they wouldn't hurt anyone else.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's a Ryujin goddess who embodies Death, Purification, Justice, and Release.
  • Divine Parentage: She would be adopted by Bossa Nova Heartstrings, also known as Prince Rubeus Stella Equestria-Corporatum, when she was just an infant Dragon.
  • Don't Fear the Reaper: Like her adoptive father, she's a benevolent Death goddess who seeks to protect the innocent from malicious and/or vengeful spirits, and send the wicked to their well-deserved punishments in the Hell-Realms. She also joined the Iustitian Pantheon because she saw the need for a merciful and fair dispenser of justice among the dead in order to counter prevalent radical views on the subject.
  • Happily Adopted: She was one of many baby Dragons who were killed by Talon Bàisian Griffons for food, meaning she never knew her birth parents. Then Bossa Nova/Rubeus adopted her as his daughter, and while the trauma of her death affected her, Bossa Nova/Rubeus raised her well, allowing her to grow up relatively well-adjusted.
